after posting my report on some other boards, i got feedback that i had alot of things wrong. so please take this as a newbie's observations for what they're worth and feel free to point out my mistakes. because i originally posted on a costa rica board many of the comparisons are to places there. i think my experience in cr may have been the source of some of my pattya errors, as you may see.
flight thai airways jfk. bkk
i was really dreading the 17 hour trip. after traveling to europe for work on several occasions i knew i had a difficult time handling the 8-10 hour flights. i went ahead and booked premium economy for an extra $300 and i think it was money well spent. i slept through most of the flight and only remember waking a few times to eat the delicious meals that were being served. one other note. i saw the stewardesses walk onto the plane in normal stewardess outfits. but when i boarded, they had changed into these fancy traditional thai gowns. a classy touch. all were extremely hot and courteous. it was a great preview of thai culture to get on the plane with them folding their hands and bowing.
pattaya
i booked a car straight from the airport to pattaya. i paid too much but it was nice to be greeted at the airport with a sign with my name on it on arrival to a new continent. i slept most of the way to the sandy springs hotel. it was a nice place. not quite presidente, but good value for the money, although the wireless internet access only worked on lower floors.
overview
overall, i think i was a little disappointed in pattaya. first, it is a dirty, third-world place. there are almost no sidewalks and the smell of raw sewage seeps from the grates everywhere you go. the only area that seems clean and 1st world is the mall attached to the marriott. i spent most of my days and ate most of my meals here. as to the girls, they probably have about the same percentages of stunners that one will find in the bm, but the individual go-go's are pretty small and often have very few real stunners. a high percentage of the girls have tattoos. i'm not a fan of that. i didn't find any attractive girls browsing the beer bars. also, while the girls were mostly enthusiastic in bed, it always felt like a service. i think i prefer the cr girls who seem to be going for their own pleasure in bed. finally, my biggest complaint with pattaya was the hours of the go-gos. virtually none are open before 6pm and they are all closed by 2am. that isn't a great window of opportunity if you want to try several different girls.
night 1
i decided to start my night at one of pattaya's famous bj bars. [CodeWord901] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord901)'s. i'm glad i did. there was a selection of semi-attractive girls out front (4-6 range). i chose a slightly chubby girl in her early 20's. i ordered a beer and went upstairs to a room with a small couch. she proceeded to undress me and had me sit on a blanket she placed on the couch. then she got a kneeling pillow and laid it at my feet. after wiping me down with alcohol swabs, she got down to business. i sat back and enjoyed the ac and my beer until she brought me to a fantastic cim finish. it was a great start to the evening. i then went back for a short nap and headed out to hit some go-go's. i tried a couple but ended up having a great conversation with a really nice girl who spoke perfect english at the classroom. (i forgot her name, they all have these weird 3 letter names but she was #77.) we went back to my place and she performed admirably. it did strike me as a little weird that she stopped to pray before we went to sleep. woke up for some excellent morning sex and breakfast then she was on her way. we talked a lot about life in general and i really felt a connection with her. she looked young and hot but not a superstar. i was shocked when she told me she was 30. she seemed like a thai version of sophia. one of my original bm favorites.
night 2
again, i hit [CodeWord901] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord901)'s at about 10 am to start my day. the girl wasn't as attractive, but she got the job done even better and it was a great start to the morning. went back to the hotel and jetlag had caught up with me. slept until about 9: 00 that night. went out to eat, then went to a massage place where i had a 2 hour foot massage and asked for a shave which turned into a 1 hour, slightly emasculating facial. all of which for less than $20. hit a couple more go-go's and ended up at supermodel a-go-go. made friends with the manager, but was shocked when all the lights went on at 2: 00am. i ended up walking up and down the walking street but everything seemed to be closed. i went home empty-handed and slightly disappointed.
night 3
tried to hit a ton of go-go's. i really liked the setup at beaver. the girls dance with no panties on your tabletop. it's nice to check out the merchandise before you bring it home. i saw one girl with the tiniest pussy i had ever beheld. although a hideous face. we talked for awhile, but i had promised the manager of supermodel that i would go to her party that night. so i headed over to supermodel. the party was already over and the remaining girls weren't all that attractive. i did notice one of the server girls dancing wildly. i figured she might be fun but she acted shy when i first approached. i talked to the manager and negotiated the date. she went back and i was disappointed. she was covered with tats and she was a terrible lay. she kept acting like i was hurting her. i eventually sent her away.
night 4
started with a kobe steak dinner at benihana. expensive but recommended. after another barhop, went back for the tiny pussy girl from beaver. decent lay, but she had bad breath and her face wore on me. then she wouldn't stop talking. "dahling. " and never wanted to leave. when i finally got her to leave she wanted me to go to her place. i feigned fear of riding a moto-bike and sent her on her way.
night 5
i hit a sabai dee, a soapie early to try out the soapie experience. about 15 girls in the fishbowl. none were especially attractive. i picked the prettiest of the bunch but when we got in the room, she smelled like cigarettes. she did the bath, then the sliding up and down followed by average sex. overall, i wasn't blown away by the service.
another barhop and i was starting to get depressed. things weren't going well. i was frustrated with the closing hours and this dirty town. when i went out, the girl from the first night yelled to me from a baht bus. unfortunately, she was with her barfine for the night. i had looked for her a few prior evenings but she was already gone. to top things off, i stopped at peppermint a-go-go. i saw one of the hottest chicks i've ever seen. about 21, tall and super-skinny, perfect asian-looking face. i offered to barfine her. she told me she wanted at least 3, 000 baht for longtime. i told her i never pay more than 2, 000. she went to the back and i thought all was going well. then she came out and said one of her friends was there and she couldn't go with me. perfect! now i was pissed. i was thinking of heading home right then. little was i to know my luck was about to turn around. on the way back to my hotel, i stopped in at silver star a-go-go. surprisingly, this place had lots of quality snapper. at least 5 girls who were as attractive as anyone i had seen at the other places (except the one who rejected me). i ended up going with a girl who looked vaguely like winnie cooper from the wonder years (forgot her name too, but she was #28). she was sweet and hot in bed. she was extremely cute and affectionate. she kept giving me these little sniff-kisses with her nose. i was very happy. unfortunately, i kicked her out at 8: 00 am to go watch my cowboys get stomped by the giants. i guess things couldn't be 100% perfect.
night 6-7
hung out at silver star most of the night evaluating the talent. still ended up with winnie cooper. one night we also took #21. she was a little more professional and not as sweet so i gave her the rest of the night off and just stayed with winnie. i also thought about going with #55, but never got around to it.
final night in pattaya. i went straight to classroom and caught my first girl as she was coming in. i took her back for a very nice session and conversation. she helped me buy some gifts for folks back home, then we did dinner. we talked for a long time about her life and buddhism. great girl. i ended the evening by returning to silver star for winnie with whom i had a great night until my taxi to the airport arrived.

I'm not a fan of Pattaya myself. But, if your delicate Western sensibilities were so shocked at this dirty, 3rd world town, I suggest you never go anywhere else in SE Asia. Pattaya is a booming modern metropolis compared to most places in Thailand, outside of Bangkok, and is positively New York compared to somewhere like Phnom Phen in Cambodia. Also, Pattaya isn't noted for its stunners. Its noted for being cheap. If you want stunners, you have to go to Bangkok. But, the dirt and size of Bangkok would, I'm sure upset you to no end.
One wonders what you expected coming to Asia?
very good review! i love pattaya but it can get a bit too much. i too am a big fan of beavers, great concept and inexpensive early before diner. i will try [CodeWord900] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord900) this trip as i am staying very close.

On your first trip to Thailand you should have booked at least 2 weeks or something close to that. One week is too short, for the travel and expense.
You traveled all the way around the world and paid premium dollars to spend it in Thailand's wasteland, Pattaya. I can't understand why you rejected a 3000 Bhat offer right off the bat. 2000 LT is not what hot girls in Pattaya's Gogo are used to getting. I would have countered with 2500 and told her I usually never pay this much but I'm sure you'll make me very happy all night long. Usually, she'll gladly accept the offer. Gogo girls in Pattaya make just as much as Bangkok girls. It's the beer bars and other venues which are quite a bit cheaper in Pattaya than Bangkok.
What I found out is that Bangkok, NEP specifically, has a higher ratio of stunners, it seems that there at least two are three in each gogo. If one doesn't want to go LT then there are others available. Also, the Gogos open at 7 pm and hour or so earlier than Pattaya. You seemed to miss the top gogo in Pattaya: Happy, Living Dolls and few on Soi Diamond. Pattaya has a decent after hour disco scene but it seems you need to go there often and seems to be more for the long term residences.
The Soapy massage places in Pattaya don't really get a large number of girls until around 6 pm or 7 pm. After 7 pm you'll see a selection of 30 to 40 girls. The massage places have more well trained and taller and more full figured girls than what you'll every see in the Gogo bars.
On my first trip to Thailand, 12 days, I visited, Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket. I think I made the right choice because I sampled almost all Thailand had to offer in the P4P space, which made it much easier to plan for my next trip that lasted 4 weeks. My average trip now is about 3 weeks but on the last trip I felt it was too short.

For those wanting a private car to the airport one can be arranged in Pattaya for 1000B (some including the toll which is now only 60B). I think the Email address of one guy who provides this service is posted a ways back in this thread. He charges 1200B (toll included). It's usually always cheaper to set your ride up from the Pattaya end.
This same little pharmacy, located on South Pattaya Rd., just ½ a block west of the Beach Rd. entrance to Walking Street, was also selling 4 tablet packs of generic Viagra (Kamagra) for 300b.Thanks for the tip I've been paying 400 at my little pharmacy. I will have to check out this place. BTW I assume it is east of Beach Road as the beach is on the west side.

thanks to daddy07's pointer i found a pharmacy that is selling kamagra for 300 baht a four pack instead of the 400 i was paying. it's a little pharmacy two doors east of the small friendship supermarket between beach road and 2nd road on south road. thanks! i also heard a few places are selling it for 250b but haven't checked them out yet.

Agree that if Shadow found Pattaya "dirty" he is in for an ugly awakening if he goes elsewhere in Asia. He better confine his overseas mongering to Singapore and Japan (or Costa Rica LOL!).
Disagree with Hoffy's comment that gogo prices are the same in Pattaya as in BKK (Shadow was correct to refuse to pay more than 2000B LT-with bargaining and if they like you should be no more than 1500B for LT). I also disagree that BKK has more "stunners" (IMHO BKK has more traffic, girls with attitude and katoeys). On the private boards you'd get ripped for suggesting paying 2500B to gogo girls for LT (MAYBE on Loi Krathong or VERY special holidays when they think they can command a premium but even during high season if they balk at B2000 you should find another one!)

I hate to make reservations and then get there and have it be a dump. From what I have read, it's been pretty decent from most of the comments, but most have been thrid hand comments. Either way, I guess I'll find out on January 16th when I get there. Hahaha. If anyone else can suggest another place on Walking Street or VERY CLOSE by Walking Street, let me know. I want to be very close to the action.

RMWI appreciate you getting back to me. I would like to stay close to Walking Street, no sense getting too far away from where you want to roam, especially at night. You guys on here are the best us newbies have to places like Pattaya. I have ben all over the world, but this is my first time in Thailand, so I am looking forward to it. I usually vacation and play in latin american countries, but with the urging of a friend of mine who lived in Thailand for a number of years, I figured I'd give it a try. But I am skeptical as of late, because so many have been complaining of the rising costs in Pattaya and the lack of quality of the girls in Pattaya. Like one guy stated in another forum, paying more than 1000.00 a week in Pattaya is foolish, he might as well go to Mexico or South America and save the 1000.00+ airfare. I think this is going to be something that will always be argued considering the baht is getting worse with each passing day. Once again, thanks for the reply.

renting a lounge chair under some of the thousands of umbrellas lining the beach (30b/$0. 81 usd) is a pleasant way to spend blazing hot afternoons relaxing in pattaya after a long previous night of debauchery. there are always gentle breezes blowing in off the sea, and plenty of eye candy at hand. many of the young european women tourists go topless while wearing only skimpy thong bottoms leaving virtually nothing to the imagination. i stayed out of the water because i was told by fellow mongers here that it is filthy with raw sewage, but i saw many people swimming without any apparent i'll effects, and experienced no unpleasant smells. the numerous native vendors and hawkers prowling up and down the shore will provide just about anything you might want to make your stay more enjoyable, e. g. ice cold heineken beer by the bottle, 40b ($1.08 usd), ice cream by cup, cone, or bar (30b $0.81 usd), six deep fried battered shrimp, 40b, (but watch out, they might give you the runs); pedicure, 100b ($2.70 usd); manicure, 100b; massages, thai soup, toys, magic tricks, paintings, watches, leather goods, t-shirts, sandals; . the list goes on and on, and cheap, cheap, cheap, especially if you are inclined to bargain.
a professional hair cut is available at the lek beauty salon and barber shop on soi 3 near 2nd rd. for 200b ($5.40 usd), and a close shave as well for just 100b more. a shave and a haircut for under $10 usd. amazing! near this barber shop are two inexpensive massage parlors (phaingren and salom) where you can enjoy a one hour full body oil massage for 250b ($6.75), topped off by a happy ending hj climax for a modest 300b tip ($8.10 usd). a full hour of sensuous relaxation for under $15 usd simply can't be beat (pardon the pun). the famous welkom inn (belgian embassy) is located a bit further up the soi toward the beach if you like to partake in horizontal action during the day. there are several girls of all shapes and sizes sitting around out front waiting for you to choose. if two hours of soapy body massage with lots of sex is your thing, (1600b + 500b tip, $56.75 usd), then sabai land, sabai dee, and another sabai something parlors are all right nearby on 2nd rd. , just across from big see shopping mall. sex, sex, and more sex options are lurking about everywhere, day or night!
pattaya's walking street is a tawdry tacky carnival midway, not much to my liking, mostly because i'm not keen on drinking lots of alcohol in bars. never-the-less, i kept coming back because that's where most of the action is, especially the best looking girls. the few real stunners are found mainly in the go-go bars, and they usually expect twice as much for their services as do ordinary beer bar girls. bar fines for higher end go-go dancers run 500-700b ($13.50-$19 usd), lt services 2000b and up, st 1000b minimum; while 200-300b ($5. 40-$8.10 usd) is within the usual range of bar fines for beer bar girls, many of whom are pretty and will go st with customers for 500b, lt for 1000b/night.
while it is unfortunately true that the vast majority of potential feminine companions in pattaya are not particularly attractive, (many are even downright old and ugly), still, there are plenty of young cuties, and a fair number of stunners to be had with a bit of luck and a lot of hunting, which, of course, is part of the fun of mongering. there are dozens of go-go bars, (mainly found on or near walking street), and hundreds of small open-air beer bars rep001tered throughout the town, but concentrated mostly in venues near walking street, beach rd, soi's 6, 7, and 8, pattayaland, and 2nd rd. around soi's 1-5. all are staffed with willing and eager ladies. some of them hot.- looking for paying customers.
you will usually see from 5-10 bar girls hanging around each little beer bar, often looking rather bored or glum while waiting for customers to entertain. some will plaintively implore you to visit their bar by calling out greetings, ("hal-looooh, " "sa-wat-dee kaa"), and taking your hand or arm, (sometimes even lightly grabbing hold of your dick), in an effort to tempt you into their lair, where they want you to buy drinks: 55-90b ($150-$2.40 usd); and lady drinks: 90-110b. ($2.40-$3 usd); play various bar games with them, such as connect4, and, of course, to eventually discuss the particulars of sexual entertainments which are available either on or off the premises. i found that flirting, chatting, and simply smiling with these girls, even without any intention of entering their bar or going with them, was the key to great relationships with them, and to all of my fun in the hunt. smile at these girls and they will almost invariably beam a big genuine smile back at you. flirt with them a bit and they will readily forgive you for eventually moving on.
sadly, i noticed that many of these little bars and their female denizens manage to attract few or no customers at all, and consequently i found myself feeling profoundly sorry for these girls, especially the unattractive ones, who must come to work night after night, stay for many hours, and then go back to their tiny hovels with nothing whatever to show for the trouble. even if lucky, i'm sure they must often endure being groped, pawed, fucked, sometimes even roughly manhandled and abused by mean, fat, smelly, old, and ugly, falang men. i was thus always acutely aware of the double standard in my mind, (i wouldn't want this life for my daughter), but rationalized it by thinking that these girls lives would probably be worse in the villages they came from. most of the ones i met do seem to be remarkably happy and upbeat in their chosen occupation, giving at least the impression that they enjoy very much what they are doing. this constantly motivated me to make extra effort to treat them all with kindness, respect, and goodwill, which they certainly deserve.
the freelancer scene of late along beach rd. at night has been described very well in other recent posts. more than once, i witnessed groups of 20 or more policemen preparing to sweep the beach areas of street *****s, and they apparently do their jobs well, as i saw few concentrations of girls plying their trade along the beach. add to that the fact that the long stretch of beach is relatively dark, making it difficult to see the ladies clearly, even up close, which might easily result in rather unpleasant 'mistakes, ' and it's just not worth the effort. all in all, if there ever were any good opportunities to be had in the past at the beach in the night, they've now been ruined by the cops and their 'do gooder' city father bosses. if anyone knows where all the beach bunnies have gone, i hope you will share the news with us.

According to what edenpapa has posted elsewhere, the new Eden Club in Pattaya will open around Dec. 20 with about 20 ladies on staff. I don't know for sure, but I imagine the construction is taking longer than expected.

while it is unfortunately true that the vast majority of potential feminine companions in pattaya are not particularly attractive, (many are even downright old and ugly), still, there are plenty of young cuties, and a fair number of stunners to be had with a bit of luck and a lot of hunting, which, of course, is part of the fun of mongering. there are dozens of go-go bars, (mainly found on or near walking street), and hundreds of small open-air beer bars rep001tered throughout the town, but concentrated mostly in venues near walking street, beach rd, soi's 6, 7, and 8, pattayaland, and 2nd rd. around soi's 1-5. all are staffed with willing and eager ladies. some of them hot.- looking for paying customers.
you will usually see from 5-10 bar girls hanging around each little beer bar, often looking rather bored or glum while waiting for customers to entertain. some will plaintively implore you to visit their bar by calling out greetings, ("hal-looooh, " "sa-wat-dee kaa"), and taking your hand or arm, (sometimes even lightly grabbing hold of your dick), in an effort to tempt you into their lair, where they want you to buy drinks: 55-90b ($150-$2.40 usd); and lady drinks: 90-110b. ($2.40-$3 usd); play various bar games with them, such as connect4, and, of course, to eventually discuss the particulars of sexual entertainments which are available either on or off the premises. i found that flirting, chatting, and simply smiling with these girls, even without any intention of entering their bar or going with them, was the key to great relationships with them, and to all of my fun in the hunt. smile at these girls and they will almost invariably beam a big genuine smile back at you. flirt with them a bit and they will readily forgive you for eventually moving on.
sadly, i noticed that many of these little bars and their female denizens manage to attract few or no customers at all, and consequently i found myself feeling profoundly sorry for these girls, especially the unattractive ones, who must come to work night after night, stay for many hours, and then go back to their tiny hovels with nothing whatever to show for the trouble. even if lucky, i'm sure they must often endure being groped, pawed, fucked, sometimes even roughly manhandled and abused by mean, fat, smelly, old, and ugly, falang men. i was thus always acutely aware of the double standard in my mind, (i wouldn't want this life for my daughter), but rationalized it by thinking that these girls lives would probably be worse in the villages they came from. most of the ones i met do seem to be remarkably happy and upbeat in their chosen occupation, giving at least the impression that they enjoy very much what they are doing. this constantly motivated me to make extra effort to treat them all with kindness, respect, and goodwill, which they certainly deserve.

you know, on my last day in pattaya i decided to try soi 6/7- not sure which one but it had the nice, expensive irish pub on it. i had set up a date for that evening with my girl and wasn't looking for a fuck anywhere, just a quiet drink. i walked past one of those many bars, which was dead, and got the 'hansum man' call. i fancied a quiet time, and the girls were all fairly ordinary, so i thought, why not, a few beers, no sex, go home, have a sleep and have a top night.

Did a Bar Crawl on soi 6 yesterday with about a dozen guys. Soi 6 is the day time zoo, it's about a quarter mile long and 95% bars. We started at 2pm and ended at 5pm. I grabbed a gal from the first bar we stopped in, she turned out to be the best one I've had this trip. Nice little thing, good body, sucks dick with a passion, hunches, humps and makes pleasing noises.

don't mean to sound like a know it all but to clean up a little of the below:
soi 6 is the soi with all the st bars. they are mostly not open air bars. they have girls sitting out front, ac and st rooms. prices seem to be rising here lately. with many girls asking 600 or 700 baht and not willing to budge. was in a number of bars yesterday with shamus on the bar crawl. red point bar, imo one of the better selections, was room 300b, girl 500b. a few others holding the price line are dirty dens 250/500 and british bulldog. although the selection of girls there is hit or miss. i think my friend you is also still holding the price? there are probably still a number of bars where the girl asks, or will accept, 500 but many on the west end of the street seem to be on the rise. it pays to shop around and find the places and prices you like. there are at least two pubs i know of on soi 6, lord nelson and queen victoria. also the sportsman on soi 6 serves pub/thai food in a regular restaurant format. many think the sportsman is a great place to eat.
soi 7 and 8 has many open air beer bars. soi 7 and 8 are very close together. it is some distance from soi 6 to soi 7. especially walking on a hot day. soi 7 also has at least two pubs, pig n whistle and rosie o'grady's. these two are right next to each other. both have ac and are a good place to beat the heat, have a good (but not cheap) meal and grab a real ale. i think i can post this map without violating board rules.

daddy07's posts were admittedly from a newbie. while i might not have given them report of distinction they were good reports from a newbie imo. i never made it to soi buakhao until my second trip. we probably need to post more about this area. there are many bars on soi diana inn, lk metro, buakhao that generally have much cheaper drinks than the more well known spots. it would be well worth it for those who want to explore a bit to find soi diana inn (right next to kiss restaurant across 2nd road from mike's mall) walk up to soi lk metro, soi buakhao and maybe hit soi honey inn and even soi chaiyapoon. a trip to [CodeWord901] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord901)'s will put you right in the middle of this area.
fwiw i get my hair cut for 80b at a local beauty salon owned by my land lord's wife. my apartment is on a short one block area with a couple of restaurants and a few other businesses. it kind of has it's own subculture. so i support the places on the block as much as i can.

I appreciate you getting back to me. I would like to stay close to Walking Street, no sense getting too far away from where you want to roam, especially at night. You guys on here are the best us newbies have to places like Pattaya. I have ben all over the world, but this is my first time in Thailand, so I am looking forward to it. I usually vacation and play in latin american countries, but with the urging of a friend of mine who lived in Thailand for a number of years, I figured I'd give it a try. But I am skeptical as of late, because so many have been complaining of the rising costs in Pattaya and the lack of quality of the girls in Pattaya. Like one guy stated in another forum, paying more than 1000.00 a week in Pattaya is foolish, he might as well go to Mexico or South America and save the 1000.00+ airfare. I think this is going to be something that will always be argued considering the baht is getting worse with each passing day. Once again, thanks for the reply.

It will be interesting to see if you think there is still an argument after you have been here. I use to go to Costa Rica. But after coming to Asia I have not returned. Compared to C.R. your girl money IMO will go two or three times farther here and there are many many more girls. For everything else maybe the money goes almost two times farther. A lot depends on what you know and how much you pay.
My Spanish is just good enough that I can mostly survive in an all Spanish environment but it is a real struggle. If my Spanish was better I might be able to generate some interest in going to Columbia. But without the Spanish I will mostly get stuck in the higher cost gringo friendly places.
Not sure where you are but it cost about $500 more for me to fly SE Asia vs Latin America. Although I usually spend an extra $200 upgrading my seat.
BTW there is much more to Pattaya than Walking Street. Nothing wrong with staying close to WS. It is the closest area to my apartment, about a seven minute walk. But be sure to read lots here on the board or perhaps your friend knows lots of good places.

My flight on January 17th gets in at midnight in Bangkok and I was curious, should I just grab the cab and head for Pattaya or spend the night in Bangkok? I was thinking I could grab some company from Nana Plaza or the parking lot to keep me company and head for Pattaya in the morning or just head to Pattaya and be there by 2-3am and maybe pick you a stragler there and sleep late. I'm curious what peopls opinions are. I had a few make comments that they went straight to Pattaya and the cab drivers were nearly falling asleep. I can see the headlines in the newspaper now back home here. "local man dies in fiery crash on the way to sex capital in all of Asia". Haha. Let me know your thoughts either way. Have a GREAT weekend.

When I was there recently the patrols were from about seven in the evening till dawn. I was told the best time to find girls was about nine or ten o'clock in the morning, however I cannot confirm this (who gets up at such an hour?).
The location of the new Airport makes journey to Pattaya a lot shorter than from the old airport.
I guess if you go to Bkk in night time, you would have to spend about 45 minutes in a cab, and if you go to Pattaya you can double that. Girls are available in both places all night. I would recommend you to book a hotel though.
If this is your first trip to LOS you should spend some days in Bkk I think. I prefer Bkk compared to Pattaya or actually any place in the world.

My last few trips I have taken a cab from the airport to Pattaya at 1:00AM when my flight arrives from LAX. It really depends on how you feel. Personally, I'm pretty excited when I land at BKK. Im ready to get the party started ASAP and I'm not a big fan of BKK. The ride is usually 1200-1300 baht, less traffic, construction has stopped and you will arrive within 1hr. 30min to 2hrs. Cent. Pattaya. Do pay attention to the drivers because dozing off is distinct possibilty. Get them to stop at a 7/11 at least once.
Also, if you want some action at that time you arrive in Pattaya, go to Marine II disco or JP's Bar complex. Always something to pick up in that area until daylight or beyond.
FYI-I was in a cab accident (first time in about a five year period of visits) during mid afternoon on the tollway to Pattaya after a long tedious flight. The car nearly flipped over on the tollway. I was in the backseat without a seatbelt on and luckily escaped with only a bruised eye. Wear! your seatbelt in the backseat if you don't already and tell the driver to slow the f%ck down if they are driving like (the usual way) a maniac. Use international signs to communicate that if necessary.
All in all your trip will be nice and enjoyable. Take care fellas.

Just one small point - it won't take 45 minutes by cab into central Bangkok at that time of night. More like 20 to 25 minutes, depending on where your hotel is. Also, 90 minutes is bit optimistic to Pattaya at night unless the driver drives insanely. It will take closer to two hours. And everyone should at least see the Sukhumvit late-night circus at least once. But up to you!

Although from the new airport Pattaya is a lot closer I still find it after a long flight to take a taxi to BKK, coming in at midnight I usually book at Nana Hotel and arrive by 0100am. Take a quick shower and down to the disco or checking out the parking lot. The next morning I have my breakfast included in the price of the hotel room, book a taxi to Pattaya 800-1200 baht. The biggest draw back is the construction and traffic that is going on the tollway towards Pattaya. Otherwise in my opinion I will stay overnight in Bkk.

Nice report Daddy - are you SURE you gave her 1000? Shortchanging is pretty uncommon unless you are sozzled (but your technique of verifying the bill when presented sure does the job) If the word about shortchanging gets around, the bar tends to suffer. Although from the new airport Pattaya is a lot closer I still find it after a long flight to take a taxi to BKK, coming in at midnight I usually book at Nana Hotel and arrive by 0100am. Take a quick shower and down to the disco or checking out the parking lot. The next morning I have my breakfast included in the price of the hotel room, book a taxi to Pattaya 800-1200 baht. The biggest draw back is the construction and traffic that is going on the tollway towards Pattaya. Otherwise in my opinion I will stay overnight in Bkk.

They say it isn't the Ritz, but it's ok to crash for a night or two and to ALWAYS take the best room you can get. I also want to be able to get some company to keep me company for the first night too.No sense going to Pattaya and then trying to find something at 3am or so. And probably that late too I'll be so beat I won't care either way on top of it. Someone tried to convince me to go right to Pattaya to save 1000 baht, but considering I just spent 1000.00 dollars to get to Bangkok, 1000 baht is nothing! My comfort is more important. Plus, if I decided to stay 2 nights at the Dynasty Inn, they told me they take me to Pattaya for free as a service they give. If you think of any other advice, let me know.

Although I read your report with some interest, I must put in a few words as I feel everyone should learn from bad experiences.
1)Dont always assume that the police will side with the bar establishments. Any trouble with scams and cheats, always call the "tourist police" ONLY--. This police force was set up to help people like you sort things out. I've met a few of them in BKK (at 1st not knowing they were cops) as they were trying to help me in their off- duty hours in regular clothes. Found them to be fair and honest( for the most part). I believe U should have reported this bar as they will be under the tourist police radar and will be reluctant to cheat the next monger that comes along.
2)Dont always pay whatever the bar gals tells you --especially after bad service. If the price was not negotiated in the beginning and agreed upon, just pay them what the deserve and tell them to leave. If they dont, call the hotel security (or front desk if no security at your place) and tell them she is no longer your "guest". I know that sometimes $10-25 means nothing but its a scam and giving in to them will always encourage them to continue to cheat others as its easy money for them.

I arrived in Bangkok at the new airport about midnight and was not as disappointed in the airport as many visitors seem to be. I got through immigration quickly and was out the door in no time at all. I took the free shuttle from the air terminal to the bus terminal and took the first bus to Ekkamai station and then from there it was maybe 2 hours to Pattaya. At some seemingly random location in North Pattaya, the conductor of the bus looked at me and said, "Ok you get off." I got off and immediately found two smiling Thai girls who pointed me in the direction of a motorbike rider who offered to take me to Sunbeam Hotel for 150 baht. I didn't even reply, I just turned and walked away. Finally he chased after me and said, "Ok 40 baht." So, what seemed like a long ride, we finally arrived at the hotel. The bad news is that since I failed to get a reservation, the hotel was fully booked for the next 2 nights. So, I set out walking to find another. I had a very hard time finding a reasonable place with a in-room safe. Most have the lock box in the lobby, which I hate.
Finally, I found Eastiny Hotel on Soi 7. The room was small, but good for the purpose. There was a nice shower, in-room safe, TV, etc. The price was 1,090 per night. The biggest negative was that on the nights I got a girl early and wanted to sleep early, the loud noise of the nearby bars kept me awake. If you are a late night party person and will be awake, this won't bother you of course. The hotel is girl friendly and has no joiner fee for 1 girl, but I was told that if I brought in more than 1 girl at a time, they would charge 300 baht each for the extra girls. Also, there is a shortage of towels at this hotel or a problem with laundry. One day, I used both of my bath towels for my afternoon delight and requested 2 more for the evening catch. I was told to wake until I returned a few hours later. When I did return they could only give me 1 towel. Otherwise the hotel was fine. I also rented a scooter right outside the hotel. Price was 250 baht per day and 1,000 baht deposit which was refunded with no problems. Gas was cheap and easy to find. The scooter was nice and made the trip more enjoyable as I was able to get out and explore more of the area easily.
My first girl I found working at a massage place on soi 7 (on the other side of my hotel from the beach road). I took at 1-hour foot massage from her and she kept smiling and flirting with me the entire time. She then invited me to a 1-hour oil massage telling me it would be very relaxing. To her credit, she is very good at massage. During the body massage, she let the towel slide down a few times and when Mr. Happy jumped out, she said "oh so big" and giggled. Finally I asked her if she could do a "special massage" and she said no they don't do that there, but when she had her face close to mine I leaned forward and we kissed and after a few minutes of that I asked if she could go to my room. Unlike in N.A. where at 54, I'd probably have some fat, white, middle-aged harpy to come home to, here, as I write this, my lovely, 21 y.o. GF is asleep in bed. She's an example of what eventually happens to many expats. As you learn the language and the culture, you're able to meet regular TGs and eschew the P4P scene completely. I did try a stint back in the "world" a couple of years ago: not Canada, but the Bahamas. True, as far as weather went it was still paradise (except for the hurricanes). But, it was like living in Miami, but with a extremely conservative Christian mindset and some of the ugliest women I have ever seen. The only bright spot was that Cuba was 1 hour away for a bit of true mongering R & R. i’ve been to pattaya 5 times now and have never offered a report. i think it is time to do so. my report won’t be a play by play, however. it has been about a month since my return and i honestly can’t remember all the details. also, i did go to bangkok and angels city on this same trip. most of the facts have begin to fuse and blur. i will talk about bkk here as i consider pattaya my base. but i will post a separate report for ac for those interested.
this was also my first time alone in pattaya. i always came here with a friend or two in my previous trips. this time, my friends were meeting me later in the trip and i had to spend the first 5 days alone here. but i had no real problems, i have been here 4 other times and i know how to get around. i started off by purchasing a cell phone and renting a motor bike. i had a borrowed cell last time and saw how valuable it was to have a cell phone. i spent about $40 usd on the phone. i also like renting motor bikes. i don’t have to tell most of you how frustrating the baht bus drivers can be sometimes. so i skip them altogether by getting my own ride.
after all that was taken care of, i wanted to get the first one out of the way but it was only about 3 pm. so i decided to visit a soapy. i went to the one across from the big c and pick out a cute girl sitting by herself. it turned out to be a great session. it was nothing special but very nice. i think it cost about 1600 baht. that night i went to champions on walking street to look for a girl i met from a previous trip. but she was no where to be found. an interesting fact about this girl: she actually grew up in england and spoke perfect english. i had no idea why she would work in a gogo but never asked. i just treated her like a rare gem. anyway, no one knew where she went or where she is now. i ended up just going home and sleeping that night. i have noticed that the more times i come here, the less important it is to have a girl every night. it was more important for me to have a good night’s sleep than to get laid.
the next day, i had a great breakfast at the sabai lodge and went out on the town. i’ve been renting motor bikes for 2 trips now and really love it. it gives you a freedom you just can’t enjoy with the baht buses. but you do have to be careful. after riding around town for a while, i ended up at [CodeWord901] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord901)’s. i’ve been to the one in bangkok and have never tried the pattaya version. there were no customers inside. i sat down and was greeted by the hostess. she was really cute and asked if i have ever been there. i told here i’ve been to the one in bangkok and she asked if i would like to pick a lady. i asked here if i can pick her and she said of course. upstairs in the rooms, the layout was better than bangkok. you have individual private rooms instead of the group room with curtains for dividers. it felt much more intimate. however, in the bar downstairs, they do have curtains separating the couches. i wonder if you can request a bj right there in the common area? i don’t see why not, this is pattaya and you are in a bj bar. if you wanted everyone to see, why would they care? this venture set me back 700 baht.
that night, i went to a few gogo’s and found the best looking girls at supergirls. i bf’d a cute one who refused to go lt. i started noticing this trend about 2 trips ago. during my first trip to pattaya (only 3 years ago), lt was an option with every girl i met. but lately, i keep meeting ones who either won’t do it at all or want to leave early in the morning. on my first trip, every girl who did lt stayed into the next day. and i found one that stayed with me for an entire week. side note: i ran into that girl again on this trip. it is very interesting to see your girl 3 years later. they go a very interesting transformation. more on her evolution later. anyway, i had a great session on with my st girl. interestingly, she did mention that she wanted to go back to the bar and try to pick up another bf. i’ve never had one admit this to me before. but i appreciated her honesty.

the massage girl turned out to be the best part of my trip. she never asked for any money and i felt like she genuinely liked me. i know what some of you are thinking. she might be a semi-pro or a former-pro. her english is very good and she does groom downstairs, all signs of a pro. nonetheless, she made me feel like she was a real girlfriend. i had a great time with her and still talk to her via cell phone once in a while. unfortunately for me, i had to leave for bangkok the next day to meet up with a couple of friends and then on to ac. i wanted to spend more time with my massage girl but i had to say goodbye after just one night.
the next day, i met two friends in bangkok. both of them are veterans of los and long time friends. it was great hanging out with them. we decided to play tourists for the day and visited the weekend market. this place was so crowded and hot. i don’t know how anyone can shop inside those hot buildings. i couldn’t even stand being inside for more than 2 minutes. we just ended up walking in a circle on the outside path because it was too hot inside. china town was next. there was some kind of a parade going on and was also very crowded. i think i would spend more time in bangkok if it wasn’t so crowded everywhere. every time i visit los, i plan on staying here for a few days and end up leaving after two. it is just too chaotic and crazy for me. i’m from a small town in the us and bangkok is just too much stimulation for me. anyway, we ended up at soi cowboy that night. we caught the lesbian show at suzie wong’s. it was kinda cool but got old after the first 5 minutes. we bar hopped a little and ended up taking some girls home. they were nothing special and hardly worth mentioning.

the next day, i went to the airport for my flight to angeles city. i will post a report on that forum. but i will make a few comments about ac. lots of guys like to compare ac to pattaya so here is my two cents. some of these i have read on the forum before so i know some of you agree. but some i have never read. so hopefully they are new information for you.
1. i truly believe that ac girls are better looking than the ones in pattaya. but, the ratio of lookers to uglies are about the same. that is, you have to wade thru many plain to ugly girls before finding just a few beauties. that is true in both places. but if you were to compare just the pretty ones, i prefer the filipina look over the thai look. i saw some great racks and asses in ac, a rarity in thailand. there are some chubby girls in ac but most of them had figures that i prefer. i think most tg are too skinny and have no asses. also, ac girls speak better english. this was a big plus for me. so overall, i much prefer ac girls over pattaya girls. but the city of pattaya has a lot more to offer than ac. i will never stop going to pattaya. i just like the girls better in ac. this is just my opinion and i hope i don’t offend any pattaya fans.
2. prices are lower in ac for monger activities except for hotels. bar fines and drinks are cheaper. so if you are just interesting in mongering, ac is a cheaper option. for example, i found an internet café that charges 20 pesos an hour. that is about 40 cents per hour. you just can’t beat that.
3. i felt just as safe in ac as i do in pattaya. field ave was closed to traffic when i was there. i still don’t know why.
4. fellow mongers are friendlier in ac. this was my first time and i met and chatted with lots of great guys. i have been to pattaya 5 times and have never met another monger to hang out with. again, this is just my personal experience. i don’t mean to offend anyone in pattaya.
5. my last observation is a strange one but i noticed that the bathrooms in ac clubs are much cleaner than the ones in pattaya. has anyone else noticed this?
when i returned to los, i was supposed to spend the rest of my time in bangkok. but i just couldn’t handle the pace. so i decided to go back to pattaya for my last few days. my massage girl was very happy to see me and i basically spent the rest of my trip just hanging out with her. she never asked for money once. i still not sure if she is a semi-pro or former pro. back at the hotel, her routine was very much like the bargirls. she would shower first then hide under the covers and claim to be shy. maybe all tg act like this? pro or not? on my last day in pattaya, she decided to take a day off to spend with me. i found out that she had to pay her work 800 baht to do this. i guess they had their own system of bar fining. to compensate her, i gave her 2000 baht. i told her the extra money was a gift and not a tip. she tried to refuse but i just stuck the money in her purse. i think i’m going to really miss this one. when we talk on the phone now, i get the feeling that all she does is work and sleep. she works 12 hours a day and gets 3 days off a month. i used to hate my schedule until i learned about hers.
on a side note, her work is right at the beginning of walking street and across from a group of beer bars. my friend and i used to wait for her to get off work at a bar called the candy bar. it is the first one on your right as you walk up the stairs. this bar had quite a few cuties. i would have barfined some of the girls from this bar if my girls had not been working right across the street. even the mamasan was cute. check them out if you get a chance.
this concludes my first trip report on the forum. i hope i haven’t bored you guys too much. on my way back to the us, i was a victim of a “monger search” by customs. i will talk about that experience in another post along with some after thoughts.

After my trip to Thailand and the Philippines, I came home via SFO. I had heard about the Customs searches at the airport before but have never experienced it. This was my 9th time thru this airport so I guess I was due. As I picked up my luggage, I was told by an agent to go to a search station. At the station, I got a standard Monger search. That is, they didn’t care what I was bringing in. They only wanted to see my media. I had a lap top and digital camera with me and they searched them both very thoroughly. They also looked thru my bags looking for other storage medias they can search. They looked in every possible place in my bags. If I was hiding storage media, they would have found it. I had some old pics from a Buenos Aires trip on a camera card I had forgotten about. It was embarrassing but the agent said all persons in the photos looked of age so it was ok. On my laptop, I had some porn I had downloaded earlier and forgotten about. They looked at that for a long time before returning it to me and telling me I can go.
The whole experience was very embarrassing. Even though I knew I had nothing illegal, it felt like shit because I knew that they knew I was a Monger. One of the agents even asked me how the women were in the Philippines. I hope I don’t get put in some kind of Monger database. Next time I go, I will make sure they find nothing. This time, they found my condoms, lube and a vibrator. All very embarrassing for me. Next time, I will leave all that stuff overseas. It will be a minor financial loss. Also, if anyone has any tips on erasing all pics and videos off my hard drive permanently, I would appreciate it.
By the way, while I was being searched, I looked around at the other search stations and noticed that when they are full, they don’t direct other travelers to be searched. That is, they don’t send someone to the searching station till it is empty. So if you see an empty station, there is a good chance you will be searched. If the stations are full, they will probably just wave you through. I think it has something to do with not having lines at these searches. Thinking back, I was one of the first to get my bags so the stations were empty when I tried to walk by. In the future, I will take my time getting my bags and walk out while the stations are full.
Now, for some after thoughts on visiting LOS for the 5th time. I have more fun every time I go. It just gets better and better. I feel like a local when I’m there. My fellow travelers joke that Pattaya feel like home when we go there. In fact, I love it so much that I get very depressed when I return to the US. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to handle this? I mean serious depression. I feel so shitty that I have even thought of not going for a while to avoid this feeling.
As for the girls, they seem to be getting worse. My first trip to LOS was only 3 years ago and already I can see changes in their attitudes. Everything is much more business like now. GFE is getting harder and harder to find. Nonetheless, I love LOS and especially Pattaya. I don’t think I can ever stop going there. I always start planning the next trip before I am done with the current one. I’ll be back in April and plan on repeating the trip every 6 months or so. I’m sure I’m not alone. Hopefully, I see some of you there next time and we can have a beer. Till then, have fun.

I can imagine the embarrassment at the search station!
Regarding empty stations, I made a similar experience at customs checks. They do not bother once they are all busy. So, if you want to go through hassle-free, just wait until some other greenhorns get checked.
Regarding the pics and videos on the laptop: I generally encrypt all "delicate" stuff. That's actually very easy with WinZip (or possibly other archive programs).
You move the pic file into an archive and at the same time you can encrypt the file. If you don't use a too simple password and use the highest bit encryption, it is not that easy to decrypt. At least, at the search station I would not expect them to be computer experts to crack within reasonable time.
You can also move a number of pics (and not only a single file) into the same archive. Just don't call the pic files by the girl's names - otherwise it looks too suspect.
If anybody asks you to open the encrypted files, you either have "forgotten" the password, or it is a "trade secret" that must not be disclosed. I trust you will find an answer...
Sometimes, by the way, when I want to have absolute security, I move then one (or more) archives into another archive, again by encryption. This enhances the security dramatically, if you use different passwords. Such an archive is pretty difficult to crack.
Furthermore, you can use the same procedure for all kinds of files. I keep for instance all my mongering history and good hints for all places in such encrypted archives.

I can confirm they were gone when I was last there a month ago, Freeler, through observation and not through heresay from few the girls one can sometimes find. I spent several hours a day observing the travesty during my last visit. The change is due to an absolutly massive campaign of police persecution. Basically between about seven PM and seven AM instead of the hundreds of girls availble before, there are usually either none on the beach, or maybe a dozen of the most hard core old-timers. Even these spend far more time running over to the land side and hiding than actually on the promenade. The police even hunt them up the side sois, so they end up having to go home.. one or two seem to hover near second road. The numbers are so small as to not be worth looking at. There are definitely far more police than girls nowadays.
The one aspect upon which I cannot comment is the daytime scene - some of my aquaintances reported that one can still find a fair number of girls from about nine in the morning till about noon. Of course I could never get up at such an hour, so I can't confirm.
Why do you think I'm poking around up here in Isaan? I can't bear to go back and look.
Email yourself all your monger pics in a zip file. Use multiple accounts to be safe. Open the zip files to verify them DURING your trip. Then delete the pics from your laptop, and delete the cache and obviously the cookies, password, and history of email accounts prior to the airport. If anyone has a video cam cassete solution post it.
i've been searched a number of times at customs, and i take lots of pics. so far they have only searched for jpegs and my pics are shot in raw format so they don't show up.
another option is to upload pics to a server and then download when you get home.
on one search they did find some jpeg pics of some bgs, but the guy felt that they looked old enough so he didn't pursue it. i assured him that i am always very careful with legal ages, and that seemed to pacify him. that can be the problem though. some of those agents are total jerks. if they even suspect a girl is **** they can cause a lot of hassles for you, and since the thai women look so much younger than they are, it could end up being a nightmare.

But this is the template for the future. The freebies and little drops of cash from the Beach Road girls can't be accepted now. In the not-too-distant future, the bribes of the bars and agogos will be increasingly difficult to accept. Thailand gropes it's way toward being a first world country. I can imagine the embarrassment at the search station!
Regarding empty stations, I made a similar experience at customs checks. They do not bother once they are all busy. So, if you want to go through hassle-free, just wait until some other greenhorns get checked.
Regarding the pics and videos on the laptop: I generally encrypt all "delicate" stuff. That's actually very easy with WinZip (or possibly other archive programs).
You move the pic file into an archive and at the same time you can encrypt the file. If you don't use a too simple password and use the highest bit encryption, it is not that easy to decrypt. At least, at the search station I would not expect them to be computer experts to crack within reasonable time.
You can also move a number of pics (and not only a single file) into the same archive. Just don't call the pic files by the girl's names - otherwise it looks too suspect.
If anybody asks you to open the encrypted files, you either have "forgotten" the password, or it is a "trade secret" that must not be disclosed. I trust you will find an answer...
Sometimes, by the way, when I want to have absolute security, I move then one (or more) archives into another archive, again by encryption. This enhances the security dramatically, if you use different passwords. Such an archive is pretty difficult to crack.
Furthermore, you can use the same procedure for all kinds of files. I keep for instance all my mongering history and good hints for all places in such encrypted archives.

They did not search my pockets but they did look in my wallet. They also did not look in my clothes. So I guess I could have put some media in a pocket of a pair of shorts or somthing. But, I wouldn't have a good explanation if they were to find them. I think that would make me look guilty.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I guess I wasn't too clear in my original report but I actually didn't have any pics of this trip. I don't take "Monger pics" anymore. I had old pics from a previous trip I had forgotten about and some porn on my laptop. So I don't really need to "hide" anything on the way back. I was just asking how to permanently erase the files I already had on my hard drive so this doesn't happen again. Thanks again for your help. I'm sure other here will use them.

So you don't get held up in customs with your IT equipment, set up a recovery point on your laptop. Then delete everything, and even empty the trash can.
Once you get back to the pad simply do a recovery and your good to go.
Every time i go through customs they crack open my equipment and look through it, like they have a clue on how to operate it in the first place LOL!!!
It's laughable to sit there and watch them tinker around with my stuff. I have to give them a 101 on MS or Linx when i travel.

Sorry as a misunderstanding of my quote, I do know the underlying reason for the "sweep" of beach road as this had happen times before (at least twice a year from what I can gather). I think it will only get worse when the King's son takes power.

i’ve been to pattaya 5 times now and have never offered a report. i think it is time to do so. my report won’t be a play by play, however. it has been about a month since my return and i honestly can’t remember all the details. also, i did go to bangkok and angels city on this same trip. most of the facts have begin to fuse and blur. i will talk about bkk here as i consider pattaya my base. but i will post a separate report for ac for those interested.
this was also my first time alone in pattaya. i always came here with a friend or two in my previous trips. this time, my friends were meeting me later in the trip and i had to spend the first 5 days alone here. but i had no real problems, i have been here 4 other times and i know how to get around. i started off by purchasing a cell phone and renting a motor bike. i had a borrowed cell last time and saw how valuable it was to have a cell phone. i spent about $40 usd on the phone. i also like renting motor bikes. i don’t have to tell most of you how frustrating the baht bus drivers can be sometimes. so i skip them altogether by getting my own ride.
after all that was taken care of, i wanted to get the first one out of the way but it was only about 3 pm. so i decided to visit a soapy. i went to the one across from the big c and pick out a cute girl sitting by herself. it turned out to be a great session. it was nothing special but very nice. i think it cost about 1600 baht. that night i went to champions on walking street to look for a girl i met from a previous trip. but she was no where to be found. an interesting fact about this girl: she actually grew up in england and spoke perfect english. i had no idea why she would work in a gogo but never asked. i just treated her like a rare gem. anyway, no one knew where she went or where she is now. i ended up just going home and sleeping that night. i have noticed that the more times i come here, the less important it is to have a girl every night. it was more important for me to have a good night’s sleep than to get laid.
the next day, i had a great breakfast at the sabai lodge and went out on the town. i’ve been renting motor bikes for 2 trips now and really love it. it gives you a freedom you just can’t enjoy with the baht buses. but you do have to be careful. after riding around town for a while, i ended up at [CodeWord901] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord901)’s. i’ve been to the one in bangkok and have never tried the pattaya version. there were no customers inside. i sat down and was greeted by the hostess. she was really cute and asked if i have ever been there. i told here i’ve been to the one in bangkok and she asked if i would like to pick a lady. i asked here if i can pick her and she said of course. upstairs in the rooms, the layout was better than bangkok. you have individual private rooms instead of the group room with curtains for dividers. it felt much more intimate. however, in the bar downstairs, they do have curtains separating the couches. i wonder if you can request a bj right there in the common area? i don’t see why not, this is pattaya and you are in a bj bar. if you wanted everyone to see, why would they care? this venture set me back 700 baht.
that night, i went to a few gogo’s and found the best looking girls at supergirls. i bf’d a cute one who refused to go lt. i started noticing this trend about 2 trips ago. during my first trip to pattaya (only 3 years ago), lt was an option with every girl i met. but lately, i keep meeting ones who either won’t do it at all or want to leave early in the morning. on my first trip, every girl who did lt stayed into the next day. and i found one that stayed with me for an entire week. side note: i ran into that girl again on this trip. it is very interesting to see your girl 3 years later. they go a very interesting transformation. more on her evolution later. anyway, i had a great session on with my st girl. interestingly, she did mention that she wanted to go back to the bar and try to pick up another bf. i’ve never had one admit this to me before. but i appreciated her honesty.

the massage girl turned out to be the best part of my trip. she never asked for any money and i felt like she genuinely liked me. i know what some of you are thinking. she might be a semi-pro or a former-pro. her english is very good and she does groom downstairs, all signs of a pro. nonetheless, she made me feel like she was a real girlfriend. i had a great time with her and still talk to her via cell phone once in a while. unfortunately for me, i had to leave for bangkok the next day to meet up with a couple of friends and then on to ac. i wanted to spend more time with my massage girl but i had to say goodbye after just one night.
the next day, i met two friends in bangkok. both of them are veterans of los and long time friends. it was great hanging out with them. we decided to play tourists for the day and visited the weekend market. this place was so crowded and hot. i don’t know how anyone can shop inside those hot buildings. i couldn’t even stand being inside for more than 2 minutes. we just ended up walking in a circle on the outside path because it was too hot inside. china town was next. there was some kind of a parade going on and was also very crowded. i think i would spend more time in bangkok if it wasn’t so crowded everywhere. every time i visit los, i plan on staying here for a few days and end up leaving after two. it is just too chaotic and crazy for me. i’m from a small town in the us and bangkok is just too much stimulation for me. anyway, we ended up at soi cowboy that night. we caught the lesbian show at suzie wong’s. it was kinda cool but got old after the first 5 minutes. we bar hopped a little and ended up taking some girls home. they were nothing special and hardly worth mentioning.
the next morning, i called a girl i had met in eden two trips ago and she agreed to meet us. even though my friends have been to thailand several times, they had never been to a soapy. so i asked my eden girl to take us to one so my friends can try it. she took us to a local joint (all asian clients inside) called stephanie’s (?). a few lookers inside but nothing special. only one of my friends decided to take a girl. he later reported that she never give him the full body soapy massage. and since he has never had one, he didn’t know what to expect. it wasn’t till after he came out did he realize that he had been short changed. apparently, she just gave him a bath and finished up in bed. he was disappointed but not too much. i mean he did get laid, can you really complain? after all this drama, my eden girl and i went back to the hotel and had a mind-blowing session. she is a former eden girl. need i say more? here is an interesting thing about her, she met us in a brand new pick-up and drove us all over town. she says she doesn’t work anymore. so she must have many sponsors if she can afford to buy a new vehicle.
the next day, i went to the airport for my flight to angeles city. i will post a report on that forum. but i will make a few comments about ac. lots of guys like to compare ac to pattaya so here is my two cents. some of these i have read on the forum before so i know some of you agree. but some i have never read. so hopefully they are new information for you.
1. i truly believe that ac girls are better looking than the ones in pattaya. but, the ratio of lookers to uglies are about the same. that is, you have to wade thru many plain to ugly girls before finding just a few beauties. that is true in both places. but if you were to compare just the pretty ones, i prefer the filipina look over the thai look. i saw some great racks and asses in ac, a rarity in thailand. there are some chubby girls in ac but most of them had figures that i prefer. i think most tg are too skinny and have no asses. also, ac girls speak better english. this was a big plus for me. so overall, i much prefer ac girls over pattaya girls. but the city of pattaya has a lot more to offer than ac. i will never stop going to pattaya. i just like the girls better in ac. this is just my opinion and i hope i don’t offend any pattaya fans.
2. prices are lower in ac for monger activities except for hotels. bar fines and drinks are cheaper. so if you are just interesting in mongering, ac is a cheaper option. for example, i found an internet café that charges 20 pesos an hour. that is about 40 cents per hour. you just can’t beat that.
3. i felt just as safe in ac as i do in pattaya. field ave was closed to traffic when i was there. i still don’t know why.
4. fellow mongers are friendlier in ac. this was my first time and i met and chatted with lots of great guys. i have been to pattaya 5 times and have never met another monger to hang out with. again, this is just my personal experience. i don’t mean to offend anyone in pattaya.
5. my last observation is a strange one but i noticed that the bathrooms in ac clubs are much cleaner than the ones in pattaya. has anyone else noticed this?
when i returned to los, i was supposed to spend the rest of my time in bangkok. but i just couldn’t handle the pace. so i decided to go back to pattaya for my last few days. my massage girl was very happy to see me and i basically spent the rest of my trip just hanging out with her. she never asked for money once. i still not sure if she is a semi-pro or former pro. back at the hotel, her routine was very much like the bargirls. she would shower first then hide under the covers and claim to be shy. maybe all tg act like this? pro or not? on my last day in pattaya, she decided to take a day off to spend with me. i found out that she had to pay her work 800 baht to do this. i guess they had their own system of bar fining. to compensate her, i gave her 2000 baht. i told her the extra money was a gift and not a tip. she tried to refuse but i just stuck the money in her purse. i think i’m going to really miss this one. when we talk on the phone now, i get the feeling that all she does is work and sleep. she works 12 hours a day and gets 3 days off a month. i used to hate my schedule until i learned about hers.
on a side note, her work is right at the beginning of walking street and across from a group of beer bars. my friend and i used to wait for her to get off work at a bar called the candy bar. it is the first one on your right as you walk up the stairs. this bar had quite a few cuties. i would have barfined some of the girls from this bar if my girls had not been working right across the street. even the mamasan was cute. check them out if you get a chance.
this concludes my first trip report on the forum. i hope i haven’t bored you guys too much. on my way back to the us, i was a victim of a “monger search” by customs. i will talk about that experience in another post along with some after thoughts.

OK, I will suggest this again, at the risk that again many of you will say that it is too complicated to use. It is not! There is a freeware program called Truecrypt, with which you can encrypt any writable media (e.G. USB stick or a Harddisk partition) which if you set it up right will show up as unformatted. Truecrypt does not need to be installed, just run the exe file. So you can download it again once back home. In my eyes it is worth the effort to read the manual for an hour to avoid such embarassements.
With a little more effort you can create 2 containers on the media with 2 different passphrases. So you can prepare something to show if they still insist that there must be something encrypted. No way to proove that there is hidden data on the disk since it is filled with random data.

In a thousand words or less DON'T do it.
You would be better off walking down beach road, sprinkling a basket full of cash like a three year with a basket of rose petals at a wedding.
I'm not calling you a three year old, BUT it is a good description of the futility a single falang investor has over his own investment. I'm not saying it can't be done. But there are steps you must take and time you must spend before undertaking such an important move.
To me you sound like you have only been vacationing there? It is a big difference between living there and going there every couple months. The euphoria must fade from your eyes before investing.You should live in the community that you plan to invest in to for several years (3+) years before doing anything. KNOW YOUR MARKET.
3rd world, I stress this point because just last year i was sitting in the shop of a friend of mine (thai-friend) in Jomteane beach. A young lady friend of hers came strolling in crying. They had found her Auzi boyfriend shot in the back of the head execution style that morning on beach road. From what I understand it was over a land deal.
I tell ya, I was right in the middle of the whole event and may note speak great Thai, but 90% of what you say comes through body language. The observations I made and conversations I was privy to made my skin crawl.
At that very same time, I too was looking at investing in to Pattaya (the surrounding area brick and mortar locations). I have been going to LOS for several years and doing business with Thai's every year (import/export).
BUT, after observing this carnival and then later speaking with my friend and getting the inside scoop. NOW wait, even at that point i was still looking at investing. The event made me very curious so i looked in to falang investors and the obstacles we have. Let me ask you this, do you know who "Jim Thomson" is? if you can answer that and tell me that little bit of history, I'll continue this rant, but for time reasons:
To cut this story short because I could go on all day:
ONE: your behind the eight ball, your looking at investing in to a bar
TWO: if you have to come here and ask advise, your a novice.
Point ONE: Bars are extremely dangerous to run even in a first world environment
Point TWO: when doing Biz outside of the first world the only thing that keeps you alive is leverage and you have to have a lot, just to stay alive. This is where the SHARKs swim, and don't think for once second Thai's are a peaceful people. They will turn on you like a rabid dog.
That being said, I still love the Thai's and LOS. BUT will only make an investment move there with cash that I can just as easily burn in my fireplace. Don't get me wrong I will retire there or have a little place to sleep and play. That is completely different then owning and operating a business. On top of that, if it were ever to take place, leverage I spoke about it before, you MUST have it and have it in spades on several levels. The third and last element that 99% of the people over look, stealth no one should know you are the owner or partner of anything, this will keep you alive. Sorry to be such a downer.

There are many russian tourists, particularly female tourists, in Pattaya now. You can find russian girls in discos along Walking Street. Many are from provincial Russia. There are many russians in the malls, also. As it was mentioned in the forum, it is relatively easy to have a date with a russian girl, though the dates can have generally unpredictable ends and in some cases may not worth an investment of time and money.
Anyone been in these two places? The Eden Club is infamous in Bangkok. I've never been. Is it a massage place with FS? a go-go? blowjob bar? what is it like?
Personally never go to Go-Gos outside of those in Walking Street area except Misty's. Anyone can recommend a go-go with no pressure to constantly buy girl drinks, tips, etc?

New Eden club in Patts is similar to the famous one in Bkk. Same policy of choosing 2 gals with unlimited sex. Price is also the same as Bkk --which bothered me a bit as I expected prices to be cheaper as this is Pattaya and not Bkk. Its FS--same as Bkk.

Police check Beach Road almost every day between 8-10PM and round up the ladies. They ask for ID cards and collect B100 in fines per lady. Before 8PM everything is how it was and should be. Many familiar faces, many new ones too. After 10PM? I wouldn't know and won't bother to find out either.

You and I, Freeler, are almost mongering mirror images - I rarely take a girl before 8:00 or 10:00 PM, and prefer to hunt all night. Night was invariably when I would discover those gems which made the Beach so worthwhile.
But as for everything being 'as it should be' on the Beach, alas, it is not. Of course I'm a terrible pessimist, but I would estimate the total number of girls at no more than 10% of what it once was. The numbers during the day were never very large, so perhaps you don't remember the enormous throngs one used to see at about 9:00-11:00PM. I did take the trouble to have a look during the day recently by dint of staying up all night. The police patrols last from 8:00 pm until dawn, with just a few girls to be found after that. Sometimes one can see perhaps half a dozen girls along Second Road hiding in the shadows. The night I stayed up I was rewarded with a couple of three-holers at around 9:00 AM - both hardcore third rate familiar faces.
But as for new information: many of the diehards now live on Soi Chiaphum, some at Ja House and a lot at the other (apparently) no-name rooming house just a few doors further down. So it is possible to find girls there, or sometimes walking in the area. Be warned however those houses are very creepy and do contain many pimp-like characters. Chiaphum is an interesting soi - very downmarket. It reminds me of the Old Pattaya, or even Soi Zero, if anyone remembers that. No doubt it too will soon be for the wrecking ball.
Comments on the decline of Pattaya in general: even though it is New Years, and therefore absolutely the worst time to visit other than Songkran, and even though its best aspect (the Beach Road scene) is gone, Pattaya is still better than any other place on the planet. Sad planet eh?

your favorite "forces of control" are going to get even more controlling. apparently, the thai army is going to join the pattaya police and volunteers in the overall crackdown on crime, which one assumes will mean freelancer activities as well. expect it to get even worse than it already is.
the big story on thai tv last night was about some sleeze-ball german running an internet webcam sex business in pattaya. there were lots of lurid, vaselined shots of girls doing various deeds in front of the cams and then the orchestrated, media-covered police raid, with girls scurrying and covering their heads with towels, computers being seized and the sleeze-ball being led away in cuffs. this was followed by local officials and police announcing increases in crackdowns on local crime and prostitution...seems pretty hypocritical to me, given pattaya's obvious "raison d'etre". but, hey, tit.

i guess there isn't a no future for patts. just look at the russian tourists. all carry mike shopping mall bags full of overpiced goodies. they rarely are seen on beach road, other then to walk their shopping home. or to go shopping.
familiar faces: since may, just two or three familiar faces were missing on br, but one returned. squirting three holer is now a new familiar face. to me this equates down to same-same before.
military presence: moto cop duos are now often one regular police and one mp. it must be the military teaching the boys in brown how to run a show their way.
