I will be in Angeles for 10 days starting Nov end. Any hotel recommendations?

Looking for something comfortable, close to Fields / Walking St, and priced well (approx USD $45/50).Interestingly HZ you have asked the same question 4 times (for a total history of 4 FRs!) - twice about AC and in 2015 about Notingham UK. And for the UK assuming you did visit there I see no FR etc. Methinks same again.

This is the correct thread (well done as some can't find it at times) and if you RTFF there is plenty of chat on this subject. Failing that you could try one of the many discount hotel web sites and use the filter (or more commonly put RTFF there LOL).

Been reading the forum, but felt that hotel recommendations here weren't very thorough. Lots of recommendations for ABC and Wild orchid, but not too many decent reviews covering the newer hotels. Regardless found Trip Advisor had a lot of good info. Booked myself into the Score Bird Hotel next to Fields. Will leave a report once my trip is over.

Typing "Angeles city fields avenue hotels" on google gives a really easy to access list of hotels, their room rates, and their room reviews.

As for Nottingham, went there. But didn't have much to report back. Its a slow boring city. Met a few decent locals (picked them up at the local pubs) and a few P4P Romanian immigrant ladies. The Romanians have taken over the outcall escort business in Nottingham. London has all the local ladies, and the smaller cities are stuffed to the gills with eastern European ladies (most of them are amazingly fit and good looking).

Sounds like the Clarkton is under financial pressure. In the Panorama, according to Harry the Horse, they are even charging for service water!! They are also charging for any variation off the menu. The service water charge makes their swimming pool look really valuable. They have also eliminated their 7 day stay 5% rooms discount. I also heard they are also putting up their room prices. Surprising when many hotels are giving extra 'rainy season' discounts. You will need to watch the Clarkton carefully as they are hitting up clients from many directions at once. Each item is relatively small, but they all add up if you stay there for a few days.I had dinner at Clarkton and on the menu it stated service water charge if you only order a side item. Free water if you order regular meal.

The other pricing doesn't seem to be out of line.

I'm returning to AC for 10 days after about a year. Can any of the regulars here give an update on the quality hotels.

I've read that LGH may have acquired some maintenance issues and the Clarkton is nickel and diming.

I've stayed at the LGH twice and the ABC twice. The accommodations don't have to be super fancy but decent. Thinking about switching it up to something even closer to walking street.

Mainly I'm interested in comfort and decent WiFi as I will be working while there with excursion to walking street and HS when I can. Central Park tower?

For those who are maybe too lazy to RTFF at times this is a reasonable listing, am sure some will agree / disagree but it could be a starting point for some.

It has been re-modeled about a year and half ago.

15% discount for cash if you stay 5 - 10 days. 20% discount for cash if you stay 11 or more days.

The menu prices are definitely up, charging for water, cutting internet speeds, playing around with room discounts catching people out, raising room prices. There are other hotels offering major discounts in town, recommend shopping around.

With a little background in business, I doubt if their Buffett is profitable. They have to keep it well stocked and fresh, without a huge volume of customers it is a loser.

We may not agree with their business plans but it is only pesos. We are fortunate that we can not be peso to death!

A couple nights I was there it looked like an old folks home in the dining hall. I don't mean to be knocking the old guys but they were 79+ years old and sitting alone.

For various reasons many of us need to find a short time room in AC. In my case I felt my constant stream of visitors was becoming a bit of a strain on my God-fearing yet tolerant neighbours.

I stumbled on Hotel Rumi in the back streets behind Red Planet hotel. P400 for 4 hours. No need for ID, just pay in advance. They are pretty straight up and ask "Sir, what time your girl arrive?

For shortime bookings they do not issue key as you are not expected to be going outside anyway. Just latch the door.

Rooms are simple but larger than some of the main road shorttime places. Toiletries include tooth brushes and reasonable soap. Shower was hot.

I would use this hotel again. Most trike drivers know Hotel Rumi.

Cheers.

Is the Hotel Rumi you are referring to same as Rumi Apartelle Hotel which is found at corner of Sierra Madre Street and Makiling St? If it is, then it is good to know they offer rooms for short time also.

Although I have planned to stay at the Wild Orchid Resort during my next trip, I may be using such ST hotels as I like to visit Perimeter bars during the afternoon / early evenings. I know the place as I once stayed at Phoenix Hotel which is nearby.

A year ago I was in the Red Planet lobby around 2 pm when a Korean with a beautiful girl in towed, wearing a mini mini-skirt along with 5" high heels rushes in asking for a room by the hour. They had no luggage, just him holding on to her like he might lose her. The reception person replied they do not rent by the hour and only by overnight. He ask how much for the night (1500) and said he would take a room now! "No rooms ready now sir, maybe in an hour. " The man hurriedly dragged the girl out and hopped into a trike like he was going to explode.

This gal just had the come fuck me look. I was tempted to loan him my room for 5 minutes if I could fuck her first!

As this thread has started to explore there are many options in AC for hotels. I have used short time rooms now on a number of ocassions.

I first used Devera where I had the room as overnight. Managed two girls through that room as I felt compelled to get my money's worth.

In the case of the Perimeter hotel options mentioned they very much focus on trade from the Perimeter Bars.

Advantages of short time rooms:

No ID needed.

No security risk to your possessions.

No security risk if it's a setup later, the girl doesn't know where you stay, nothing on the hotel record.

You and her can make as much noise and mess as you like.

The apartment complex in which I stay has quite a few nice families also staying there. I'm starting to think that I need to move out on weekends so that my weekend procession of girls doesn't cause them and me too much embarrassment.

I've reviewed the available AirBNB places in Angeles and they look reasonable. Have anyone got specific Angeles -AirBNB experiences that they can share. Can post or Private message me please.

Four or five seperate maintance problems, and a very unresponsive managment. Great pool, great local, solid enough gym; each of those are important to me, but I would not stay again at this point.

Hello,

After staying a few years in this hotel is did decide to switch to another one for the next trip and depending on the reaction of the staff tomorrow at breakfast probably will look for another place to stay soon.

The reason it looks like it is invaded by a group of people who act like they own the place. Playing loud music, talking loud, probably to many people in one room and sometimes even clapping of hands to raise the atmosphere at 4 am at 6.30 am you name it.

There have been guests that did complain and I was told that these loud people have been informed that they are disturbing other guests.

Let us see what happens. I will keep you informed.

Some additional info.

Apart from the music there were also the well known Islamic call for prayer. I guess during theses the ladies had to move outside or in the bathroom because they used the room for 3 men.

A party once in a while would be OK but keeping me from sleeping for a few days in a row will not happen. Have to think of some kind of strategy.

I ate at the Swiss Chalet a few months ago. I had barely reached the street when suddenly I felt the the need to throw up, violently. Barely made it to my room at the Wild Orchid. Perhaps one of the worst cases of food poisoning I've ever had. I've also noticed that unlike just about anywhere else in the PI, the staff at the Swiss Chalet are brusque, and sometimes just rude; reflecting, no doubt, like many small businesses, the attitude of the owner.

I've enjoyed the food at SS restaurant many times.

I would agree that the service could be better. As for the Dash Don's stomach trouble, might it be karma?

I don't doubt that you got sick, but sometimes it's hard to know exactly what the source of the tummy problem is. Did Screaming Beaver also get sick? Which dish do you think was responsible?

Your post seemed to also indicate a dislike of the owner of the restaurant. Some people might wonder to what degree your criticism was inspired by your dislike of the owner.

Unrelated, but I had a bad case of food poisoning in Pattaya many years ago. I was starting to feel better so went to a restaurant. Started to feel ill, paid my bill, but made it only a few steps out of the place before my tummy purged. The place had open walls so I was in full view of many of the diners. That was not a good day.

That speaks to strength of character.

As to the Swiss Chalet in Angeles: I don't know the owner and the window for getting to know him has now closed. I can only surmise that the problem dish was the salad, which is 'help yourself' and sits there for a while. That's pure conjecture on my part.

I know I speak for many of the posters here when I thank you for your concern for Screaming Beaver. Screaming Beaver did not get sick. As I recall he did not eat any salad. However, he has a very strong constitution and can withstand many attacks. Perhaps I am more fragile.

I will be back in the PI next week. Maybe I'll stop by the Swiss Chalet, but only to have a Paulaner or Spaten. Nothing solid.

I've also noticed that unlike just about anywhere else in the PI, the staff at the Swiss Chalet are brusque, and sometimes just rude; reflecting, no doubt, like many small businesses, the attitude of the owner.Used to stay quite a bit at Swiss Chalet, and still eat there from time to time when in Angeles. Admittedly, a couple of waitresses, who have been there from antiquity, are full of themselves, and their petite bureaucratic brusqueness and even rudeness can be off-putting. The proprietor, Hans Hofman ("Hansie", who usually wears a large white apron and, sometimes, chef's toque) has always seemed to me to be a genuinely pleasant gentleman, although sometimes a bit harried.

Developed a pattern for dining at SC. Would send my young women with P100 each off on their own to Jollibee for their preferred meal of choice, and then would enjoy a leisurely solo wine & steak dinner myself at SC. We would all rendezvous after our respective preferred meals. A "win-win" solution.

Although still eat at the SC restaurant from time to time, stopped staying at the SC hotel years ago. A deluxe superior room at the hotel used to be my Angeles HQ, with great location literally a stone's throw from the action, welcoming staff, and reasonable prices. Think I enjoyed my first "five-some" in Balibago at the SC hotel.

But then, would catch a cold or develop respiratory issues during each stay of more than a week. Room windows were sealed, and could not be opened, so no fresh air. Also, around that time, other, more upscale hotels were built, one by one, and offered progressively more attractive options.

Must have eaten over 50 meals at the SC restaurant over the years, and have never suffered any digestive issues there. Then again, have never actually been hit by lightning. Knock on wood.

YMMV.

And if the problem was indeed the salad: you can easily get food poisoning from raw food anywhere in the world, and certainly in a tropical country. That has nothing to do with Swiss Chalet.
Unless EVERY time when you have eaten salad there you got food poisoning, then it's a different story. But I believe that's not the case.

Personally I avoid 'dangerous' food like salad, peeled fruit, ice cream, oysters and not well-done eggs. It's well known that they can cause trouble.

You've eaten there many times over the years and only one time you got food poisoning? So one time is more important than say 99 other times?I would say it is. You are not supposed to get food poisoned when you eat in a restaurant. One time and it's fini as far a I am concerned.

So how many times have you been food poisoned? I can't remember when the last time it occured to me which means it's been over 15 years or longer. I don't consider a little Inca quick step food poisoning, but even that is pretty rare for me in Asia and I eat all over the place from high end Michelin star gourmet restaurants to street food.

And if the problem was indeed the salad: you can easily get food poisoning from raw food anywhere in the world, and certainly in a tropical country. That has nothing to do with Swiss Chalet.
Sure it does. If the salad was the source of the food poisoning then it was most defineatly Swiss Chalet's fault in not inspecting, preparing and cleaning the lettuce properly before presentation to a farang customer. This is their responsiblity. But sure in some places I am not willing to trust the purveyor so I skip the lettuce or tomatoes.

<snip> Personally I avoid 'dangerous' food like salad, peeled fruit, ice cream, oysters and not well-done eggs. It's well known that they can cause trouble. It depends on the restaurant and the country. In Thailand I eat everything I want that looks good everywhere including raw oysters, shrimp, tomatoes, ice cream (not off the street), peeled sliced fruit and I never suffered food poisoning. In the PI, I am a little more circumspect with food stuffs like lettuce particualrly at a place like Swiss Chalet, but I have never suffered food poisoning in the PI either and I have eaten tasty BBQ chicken from the AC street carts and Gyros on Burgos ST.

I am more careful in Latin America; Mexico in particular, where I once got very sick - Hepatitis A - a long, long time ago. But I love eating in Peruvian and Bolivian Indian markets. I just practice a little common sense and eat at the stalls that are popular with locals and stay away from funky smelling unattractive looking foods.

The one thing the OP should be careful of is assigning blame. Food poisoning usually takes a few hours to take effect. His immediate reaction may be due to the food he consumed at Swiss Chalet or it could be due to something he ate previously. I am not sure if he mentioned eating anything suspicious elsewhere, but to reiterate; if I were to get food poisoned at a particular place one time, that would absolutely be the last time I would ever go there again and I would probably report the incident on ISG and maybe even Travel Advisor.

www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/food-poisoning/basics/.../con-20031705
Signs and symptoms may start within hours after eating the contaminated food, or they may begin days or even weeks later. Sickness caused by food poisoning generally lasts from a few hours to several days.

Nothing really serious most of the time, just some diarrhea that lasts for one or two days. Maybe my guts are more sensitive than yours.

Sure it does. If the salad was the source of the food poisoning then it was most defineatly Swiss Chalet's fault in not inspecting, preparing and cleaning the lettuce properly before presentation to a farang customer. This is their responsiblity. Not necessarily. The OP got his salad from the self-service salad bar at Swiss Chalet. Any customer with dirty hands, coming from the CR for example, can contaminate the salad (or to be more precise the spoons that are used to put the salad in a bowl).

It depends on the restaurant and the country. In Thailand I eat everything I want that looks good everywhere including raw oysters, shrimp, tomatoes, ice cream (not off the street), peeled sliced fruit and I never suffered food poisoning. Unlike you I'm more careful in Thailand than in the PI because that's where I have suffered food poisoning the most and hardly ever in the PI. I think hygiene in the PI is slightly better than in Thailand, but this is just my perception. Or maybe the spicy food in Thailand makes my guts more vulnarable? I don't know.

The one thing the OP should be careful of is assigning blame. Food poisoning usually takes a few hours to take effect. You are right.

At one time, Swiss Chalet was the "go-to" place in Balibago, for tasty steaks at reasonable prices in a comfortable setting.

Now, there are other restaurants in Balibago serving tastier food. For example, RBI (in Queens Hotel) serves juicier steaks, although at substantially higher prices. Piccolo Padre, although a bit inconsistent, has a more interesting menu (PP has moved around; originally, on Perimeter Road not far from VFW; then the original restaurant tenant at Queens Hotel; now at yet another location). The venerable Fortune, with original location across from the casino on Macarthur and later a second location nearby Johnny's, has been around for quite awhile, and serves what some of us consider to be the tastiest Chinese food in the area.

Of course, everyone will have their own faves in Balibago (and Clark). Haven't visited Davao in over ten years, but understand that several outstanding restaurants now are operating there also.

However, despite the off-putting waitresses, there is still a fond spot in some of our hearts for Swiss Chalet, and its steaks (and fondue). Plus, a strategic location, literally a stone's throw from the action around Fields. As for wine, it's not easy around Fields to find decent stuff that has been properly stored. To my taste, SC wine, although not memorable, is quaffable enough for the area.

Brings to mind the old CSN line, "If you can't be with the one you love, then love the one you're with".

YMMV,

OM.

Of course, everyone will have their own faves in Balibago (and Clark). Haven't visited Davao in over ten years, but understand that several outstanding restaurants now are operating there also.
OM.There's also an Italian place (I forget the name) just to the right of ABC Hotel, and it's got decent food and wine. I've eaten there twice and was pleasantly surprised at how nice the experience was. ABC's food, while not outstanding, is also reasonably good though its wine list leaves lots to be desired as well.

Davao has changed substantially in the decade since you have been here. It's booming economically, and Western-type restaurants are opening all over the place. Some of them are quite good.

In that same area is the Brass Knob. You can look into the restaurant from the go go bar (and vice versa). I've never eaten there, but they usually have customers so it might be worth an investigation.

Molto bene, signore.

My second trip to AC I chose Devera, and although my stay isn't over yet, I think I have a pretty good opinion of the pros and cons.

First off I chose Devera because among the photos of the hotels I looked at, it offered the best combination of modern furnishing, space and price. The last hotel I stayed at, Pacific Breeze, had a good sized room but really old furnishing. In reality, the furnishing is still kind of old, so it didn't quite meet my expectations there. I also thought being closer to bars like Ponytails, Eruptions and Emotions would make me venture away from Walking Street. That ended up not mattering much either because I ended up barfining maybe 1 out of every 3 days, mostly sticking with FLs. Now I'll go over the pros and cons that might matter for other people.

Pros.

1. From Devera, Walking Street is just as far away from SM Clark which is a nice break away to look at "normal" Filipino people and life. Not to mention the food choices are much better in the mall. SM Clark is about a 6-7 min walk including waiting at an intersection.

2. Close to money changers with good rates. Although the rates are really just a few pesos per dollar, if you're exchanging up to 1000-2000, then it adds up eventually. The best rate I found was a changer near Genesis Hotel, which is along the way if you're going to Walking St.

3. You get a chance to meet up with a lot of FLs while going towards Walking Street. This may not be everyone's thing but many of those massage girls who are handing out cards are available for ST. They're no worse looking than the bargirls and no BS about buying drinks and dealing with pushy waitresses.

Cons.

1. Noisy. This is a pretty huge con. Devera is right next to Fields Ave and it's noisy as fuuuuck. The first 3 days I was here I had a room facing the street and could not get any sleep for 2 of those days. Even after switching to another room, the dogs outside were still barking at 3 am. The windows are single pane and really should be replaced with double paned windows.

2. Construction on top. If you're staying on the upper floors of Devera, there's construction going on to the restaurant on the 8th or 9th floor that'll also ruin some of the naps you want to take during the day if you're on 6th or 7th. Although it's not constant, it occurs frequently enough. Note that at some point that'll stop but who knows when.

3. Small hallways. This means that you'll hear your neighbors conversations across the floor even with your door closed.

4. WiFi forces you to re-login every 6 hrs or so. Minor nuisance but worth mentioning.

Overall my experience is 6/10. I would not really recommend it unless the pros above are really important to you.

With new facilities and proximity to Pony Tails, the "deluxe family" room (with two large beds) was quite the spacious deal. However, the facilities started to go downhill fairly quickly, and the hotel started to get a lot of Malaysian and Singaporean guests from a travel website. I typically paid cash in advance, but Devera refused to match the lower travel website rate. Then, when the building next door started NOISY construction, that was the final straw. Never went back.

As for money changers, many "old hands" tend to prefer Norma's, down Teodoro Street. Dependably good rates, and a bit more confidentiality and security.

YMMV.

I peronally tried exchanging 500 sgd twice this trip, there was no difference between the rates offered by the vendors on the main road and Norma's. On the contrary a small stall at the end of the JJ supermarket building (next to the restaurant) offered 0.10 peso better rate per dollar. I would save the walk and time and exchange at the main road. Everyone seem to have the same rate including Norma's with the shop on corner of JJ being the only exception on 1 instance. The rates are always good in the morning and tend to slightly worsen by evening or night by 0.20 to 0.40 peso per dollar across all vendors, at least this is what I observed.

The best rate I however got was at Sheeha in Manila. I already exchanged 1000 USD and didn't want to convert all hence avoided. So if you are passing through Manila and are OK with carrying cash on yourself I would recommend exchanging it there instead of AC.

Arrive on a trike, leave on same trike is safer. Money changers located inside buildings are a better option.

Even so, it's always good to be alert.

Problem with money changers on Fields is that the whole world is passing right by you during your transaction. A comparative lack of privacy and, perhaps, a bit less secure? I seem to remember some Singaporean visitors being mugged (and I think one was even killed?) a few years ago on their way from money changers on Fields back to the Tiger Hotel?

Have always felt very safe in Singapore (safer than the US) even in venues such as Geylang, but the Philippines seems to have more latent danger, which erupts from time to time. Much like Pinatubo.

Where in Manila is Sheeha located? Are the rates better than at the money exchanger (two branches) inside Greenbelt 1 or 5?

Thanks for your info!

Where in Manila is Sheeha located? Are the rates better than at the money exchanger (two branches) inside Greenbelt 1 or 5? Sheeha is located on Mabini street. If you are standing outside LA cafe, walk straight towards Robinson Mall and take a right when on mabini street, shop is on the right side, hardly 5 min walk.

Never exchanged at Greenbelt hence would not know if they are better. The rate which I got at Sheeha were same as XE or Oanda listed ones for that day.

Hey all,

Long time visitor to AC and thinking about my next trip (probably in the summer). Anyway. I wanted to provide some feedback on my most recent experiences (over the last two years) related to lodging and see if anyone had anything good to say about Penthouse.

1.) WILD ORCHID. This has consistently been my "go to" hotel. I've tried out pretty much every room (old wing, new wing, poolside, upstairs, downstairs, etc.) and they're all more or less the same. Perfectly good, but not amazing. I really wish they offered real luxury rooms, or suites. The prices for the Orchid are at the higher end of the AC spectrum, so I just want the rooms to be better (and the TV's to be bigger). That said, the pools are fantastic, the on-site kitchen produces food that I would rate a solid 3.5 (out of 5), and the location is near perfect. It's a 3 minute walk to Fields, with a Quick Mart and a poker hall in between you and the fun. Perfect for before and after your time on the Strip. The staff is also always great, friendly, and accommodating. There's a reason I almost always wind up back here after I try somewhere else.

2.) ANGELES BEACH CLUB. OK, so this hotel definitely gives me the "luxury" that Wild Orchid does not (and the price point is pretty close depending on the room you choose). The food is at least as good, if not slightly better (the Asian restaurant on the ground floor is. To this day. The best food I have eaten in AC), but I find the pool to be very underwhelming. The biggest hangup for me with ABC is the location; it's just far enough away from Walking Street to be inconvenient. I don't necessarily mind the walk to the action, but coming back (with 3 girls and 12 beers in my system) - well, that's not a walk I want to do. Now the ABC does offer a shuttle service that will pick you up and bring you home for free (tip your driver), but I found this to be more annoying than taking the three minute walk back to the Wild Orchid. If, however, you value luxury and want the best that AC has to offer. You probably want to stay here.

3.) GRAND CENTRAL HOTEL. After spending around $100 US per night to stay in the two hotels above, on my last trip I decided to see if I could lower costs in this area and still be happy. The Grand Central has part of it's name spot on accurate. It is central! The hotel is. Literally - on Walking Street. If their ad says, "You can't get any closer to the action" - they're telling you the truth. I had a room facing away from Fields, so noise was never a problem. The room itself was nice. Very similar to Wild Orchid, albeit a bit smaller (half the price. So no real surprise there). If there was a pool, I never found it. The elevator is also really tiny. Like so tiny that the porter, my suitcase, and I couldn't all ride at the same time (apparently we hit the weight limit; though in fairness I'm a bit husky). I ordered food from the on-site restaurant once, and it was perfectly fine (but a bit overpriced). If I wanted to enjoy AC on a budget again, this would probably be where I'd stay.

I hope the above is helpful. If anyone has any feedback about Penthouse, please share! I love the location of this hotel, and it appears to be rather luxurious. But I've yet to hear anyone rave about it. What's the feet on the ground review of this place? Worth it?

Thanks all!

During a recent trip I stayed at this Perimeter hotel. I had a big room with a jacuzzi so my experiences are based on that. I prepaid my room through Agoda and the price was about 2800 pesos per night. I originally considered the Apartelle Royal which (for jacuzzi room) is a bit cheaper, is at a walking distance from the big clubs but does not have much to offer in the way of services (pool, security, restaurant). Before settling on Boomerang I actually booked a jacuzzi room at Royal Amsterdam (about 4500 pesos per night) but at recommendation of a senior member at the AC Forum moved my reservation to the Perimeter area.

Pros of staying at Boomerang:

- Great location next to Firepit, Candy Bar, Det5 and countless others (just a two minute walk).

- Couple of skanky bars just 50 meters away (skanky as in AC in the old times I was told).

- Small local shop just next to those bars (good for buying water or snacks).

- Spacious and immaculately clean (jacuzzi) room.

- Hot water and a rainfall shower head.

- Bed big enough for three or four to sleep in.

- No street noise.

- Pool and jacuzzi at the inner courtyard (no sunshine, for me a plus).

- Shuttle service until 11 pm.

- Absolutely wonderful staff: friendly, courteous, accommodating.

- Good restaurant (did a side-by-side comparison of Chicken Parmiggiana with Swiss Chalet and Boomerang comes on top), open 24 hours.

- 24 hour room service.

- Extra towels and a late check-out available at very reasonable cost.

- No checking of girls IDs.

Cons of staying at Boomerang:

- No checking of girls IDs (although I heard that they do this at request).

- Price good only for a short stay, for longer stay I would choose something in the 1000 peso range.

- If you prefer Walking Street it is a bit far (five minutes with trike or shuttle).

- Air-con very loud and maybe just a bit too small for the big room (probably better in the small rooms).

- WiFi adequate, but could be faster (good for YouTube most of the time).

- No handheld shower head.

- Jacuzzi slow to fill up (almost an hour).

- Late night bar stool banter incomprehensible (trying to understand a drunk Aussie is 60 percent guesswork, with all respect).

With enough talent at the doorstep I personally will probably stay at Perimeter in the future. Bigger clubs (I sampled Ponytails and visited Crystal Palace and Dollhouse) have more girls but the difference in my limited experience is in quantity, not quality. In a bigger club of say 50 girls I might have found 10 or 15 that I could have bar fined. At Perimeter I usually found two or three that I were acceptable or even quite attractive. At Firepit around the time that the girls arrive (2 pm) there were five or six that looked good to me. Maybe by visiting Atlantis or Ra at the appropriate hour I could have found the cute K-pop look-a-likes that filled the tables of Koreans at RnB later in the night. They are special creatures: I hear they have mens four or five times a day.

So I been looking through all these forms tonight trying to find info on a good hotel. I did read on here years ago about a hotel where they had girls coming in on a daily basis doing like wet t-shirt contest, beauty contest and other things. Also had it's own pool on site, bar, and you can get massages in your personal room. Is this place still open. They have places like this in Medellin, and Puerto Plata. So I was hoping they had some places like this there.

Check out the new Midori in Clark.

OM.Yes, have stayed at Midori late last year. Pavers and fittings still not finished months after opening. At 4 pm in the afternoon staff did not have my pre-booked and prepaid room ready. One complimentary drink offered (presumably to share with the two of us). Breakfast service was also lacking but the foods were OK.

The hard product of the hotel was very nice, nice room, nice fittings, nice sheets, towels etc.

The service needs a big kick up the arse.

For mongering I do not see this as a good option for a hotel. It's on base, therefore no trike access. Needs car or taxi or service van. Girls might like the hotel but there are no supporting services for 'locals' ie no sari sari, it's harder by jeepner etc.

I know the standard response is all hotels in AC are GF friendly, but that's not quite true.

My last couple of visits were at Queens. Several times they refused entry to gfs (or massage girls) who didn't bring their IDs.

And you have to argue with the receptionists to let in say a group of three girls to visit you.

And Queens has a pretty hefty pool charge if you have three or more girls swimming with you. One guy I met had been there for a month and invited four girls for lunch and a swim. He had to pay quite a large pool fee for them to swim, even though he spent a lot on their lunch and drinks. He was not happy!

Ihis is obviously (I hope!) a mistake, but Wotif has the following in their Wild Orchid booking page:

"Couples who want to share a room are obligated to provide proof of marriage. Registered guests are the only ones allowed to be in guestrooms. ".

I've never stayed at Wild Orchid Angeles before, so it would be great to know:

- Can you have three or four girls up to your room without being hassled by the receptionists or security guards?

- How strict is Wild Orchid on IDs?

He was not happy!Seems to me about 6 months ago most decent hotels required ID's from girls. Your massage girls should have known that and had their ID's available.

RBI the restaurant in Queens rents space there and is separate ownership which has nothing to do with the hotel even though you may dine and drink outside near the pool.

Most hotels have an outside guest pool fee. You say Queens has a hefty fee but did not state how much is the fee. How much is it?

Your friend could not have spent a lot of money for lunch unless he ordered USDA prime steaks. Most meals are $10-$12 range, certainly within 600 pesos each. BTW, RBI has great food in a very clean restaurant.

I have eaten there many times under the outside patio and have to say the pool at Queens hotel is one of the most cleanest and sparkling pools I have ever seen anywhere! The maintenance of the pool is excellent.

As for as Wild Orchild I don't have any info to your questions.

Compare this (and most phils hotels) to hotels in other countries who may not allow any guests; or charge you a fee for *every* female (who is not your relation), only allow one in at a time, might not allow 2 consecutives in a 24-hour period, force you to register each and every one, and each girl must give up an ID. Other hotels in phils have similar statements (either online or posted in the rooms) about having a guest who is not your wife, no prostitution, all guests must depart by 10 pm, etc. , and everyone then ignores that stuff. Hotel security requiring all girls to have an ID really IS girl-friendly (and you-friendly), as it reduces the number of FL who cause trouble to clients and the hotel itself.

I doubt there's a problem at WO or any of the AC hotels with taking multiple girls to your room, just make sure they all have proper ID for the security staff. I don't think that any of us on the board would define girl-friendly as being able to waltz in / out of the hotel with multiple girls on your shoulder completely unfettered (dropping their ID with the door or front desk security and picking it up on the way out is the standard and long-established security procedure that everyone is used to, not just in AC). Stayed there half a dozen times, and noticed that some (although not all) of the front desk girls fancied themselves "gatekeepers" and tried to hassle me, especially when I brought in 3 girls. The last time, the front desk "mini police wannabes" got the manager (an obese European gentleman) involved. When I pointed out that there was a morbidly obese European guest who regularly brought in 3 girls with no apparent issues, the response was: (1) that gentleman is a part owner of Queens and also of several prominent bars in Angeles (and thus would be what some might categorize as a "whale") and (2) he gets a second room for his 3 girls.

The implication was that if I got a second room for my 3 girls, things would quiet down. I declined, preferring to transfer to another, more friendly hotel.

YMMV.

Hi WC.

Yes, I agree that checking ID helps safety. I was more concerned with the question how literally Wild Orchid takes their stated policy.

The room and pool at Queens and RBI were great. But I guess I enjoyed the freedom of cheaper hotels and wasn't used to the Queens' strict rules. For example, Queens wouldn't let a group of three girls (a GF and two of her friends) upstairs to my room, which was pretty annoying.

Hotels.com has this in their booking page:

"Wild Orchid Resort's small print.

Policies.

All guests must register upon arrival. No visitors or unregistered guests are allowed in guestrooms. Registered guests who violate this policy will be asked to leave without refund. ".

I checked some comparable hotels in Hotels.com and didn't see anything as draconian.

Obviously the no visitors in rooms policy is ignored at Wild Orchid. And hopefully a group of "visitors" will also be ok, as long as done discretely and not causing any nuisance to other guests, e. G. No noisy parties.

Cheers.

I stayed at Prime City Resort Hotel for five days in Feb 2017.

The location of the hotel can be a plus or a minus. It is on Valdez Street, in the shadow of Angeles Beach Club Hotel, a major local landmark. However, it is a little walk from any restaurants or stores. It is in a residential neighborhood but there is street noise all night long, dogs barking, vendors yelling, etc.

My room, 514, was quite good. Everything worked. The bed is a little hard. The TV is a Samsung, with good resolution. There is a tiny cube of a refrigerator but it was not stocked with junk, which I prefer. The air-conditioning worked well. I just love the thick towels. There is no tissue box. There is a hot water kettle with coffee supplied. Two small bottles of water are provided each day. Slippers are provided. The floor is hardwood. The place is thoroughly clean. Wi-Fi works well.

There is one feature I really hate: the shower is separated by only a partial glass panel. After each shower half the bathroom is wet.

The common areas, like corridors, are not air-conditioned. To use the one elevator you have to swipe your key card.

The staff is eager to please.

I fail to see why this is a resort. The pool, which never sees the sun, is not heated. The restaurant has tables pool side. In the morning with overhead fans, it is bearable. Except for Sunday when local families populate the pool, I never saw any diners except at breakfast.

There is a choice of American, English or Filipino breakfasts, 165 pesos, which include two eggs, bacon or tough sausage patties, McDonald-style hash browns, white toast and coffee or tea. There is a 'full' American breakfast for 265 pesos. The coffee is strong but no refills.

There is no gym. The Kandi Sky Gym two blocks away is charging 175 pesos per use. It is adequate but quite crowded.

The hotel wanted 500 pesos to take me to Clark Airport. I went around the corner and contracted with Beeway Travel for 400.

At the discounted rate of 1990 pesos without breakfast this is a good deal.

The Boom and Tempermental Hot Water.

Except for these two items in the title, I really enjoyed my seven nights at the Queens Hotel.

The location is terrific. Queens in one block from Fields Avenue. The RBI Steakhouse is inside the building. There are eateries of all prices nearby.

The rooms are fine. I asked for a mattress topper which made the bed more comfortable. If the internet isn't working well, they will put a router in the room. There is a half-size refrigerator, not the little cubes I had in my college dorm room. Lighting for reading in bed is not very good. A pair of flashlights hang to within 8-inches of the dressers. A couple of feet higher would make them useful rather than decorative.

The flat-screen TV is a Sanyo. Its resolution leaves something to be desired. There is a DVD player and the cable connection has many channels.

I was first in Room 411. They were doing renovation next door. I did not mind the tap, tap tap in the day time. Upon returning from dinner the second night, my room was filled with paint fumes. They had not taken precaution to blow the paint fumes outside. I requested a move and three staff members helped me move to Room 612 two floors up.

The staff is infinitely cheerful and helpful. That was particularly true during this move.

The RBI Steakhouse is a wonderful place with some very nice items that are reasonably price. Eggs Benedict was 230 pesos. I had that on four days. Club sandwich was 295 pesos, as I recall. Most people sat in the outside, shaded tables.

Now to the two items in the title. Hot water can be tempermental. Several times I let the water run for 15 minutes without getting any hot water. Then a couple of minutes after turning the water off, hot water gushes out.

Every hour or so I heard a loud boom, much like thunder. The first few times I looked outside and never saw anything like thunder. If you are a light sleeper it may be a concern. I never did find out what the boom is.

Like I said, I enjoyed the Queens Hotel.

Hi WC.

Yes, I agree that checking ID helps safety. I was more concerned with the question how literally Wild Orchid takes their stated policy.Somebody who has stayed at WO please jump in with your experience with multiple girls. As long as your triplets have ID's, I would doubt there would be any problem; door security guy is simply going to confiscate the girl's ID's until they depart.

Hotels.com has this in their booking page:

"Wild Orchid Resort's small print.

Policies.

All guests must register upon arrival. No visitors or unregistered guests are allowed in guestrooms. Registered guests who violate this policy will be asked to leave without refund. ".

Cheers.I've only stayed at the WO once and didn't take more than one girl so can't answer. However, you should note that WO is only a few meters off Walking Street and the majority of its clientele are sex tourists. The staff have seen it all before. If you are bringing in three girls, just tip the security guard or doorman 100 PHP and just smile. There shouldn't be any issues.

I think most hotels are trying to make sure your guest is an adult and somewhat identifiable.

I have no experience with WO. I have had 2-4 girls in my room many times. As I stated before it is all in the "art of tipping" and knowing the staff.

Like I said, I enjoyed the Queens Hotel.I had 2 nights at the Queen's early in February. I did have some hot water issues, including a letter apologising that it would be turned off "for a few hours", however I never heard the booming.

Regarding room guests, or "joiners" as they call them, I did have the issue one night when I asked one girl from wechat to visit, and she brought her friend to my room. I just had a call from reception when they arrived to confirm that I was expecting them. I said thet was fine so they came up. Then 5 minutes later I had another call saying that there was another girl there who wanted to come up, and I was only allowed 2 "joiners". I can only think that she was connected with the original one, as I hadn't as I hadn't invited anyone else! Anyway they all left in the end! Following afternoon I had another successful visit (one girl) and another later who stayed all night, with no problems from the staff. They call you when your girl arrives, and again when they leave, so that gives guests good security I think. On the other hand, I do feel that meeting your GF at the door, and taking them back down when you have done with them is more respectful as it lets them avoid the "walk of shame" both ways. I didn't try the pool, but the food is certainly good and the pool / bar / restaurant is a great place to spend some time.

Later in the week I spent 3 nights at the Central Park Tower, and to my mind it is a better hotel, no issues with hot water or anything else! Also a lovely rooftop restaurant / bar / pool. I did have to re-visit the Queen's though, as the CPT ATM would not accept my card!

Thanks guys.

Good advice to "grease the chains" a little with tipping. The security guards don't exactly have a high salary and appreciate a tip.

I'm sure WO's security guards will be better than the guard at the hotel in Boracay I stayed at a couple of months ago. All he did was sleep all night!

Yes, I can't imagine WO would implement rules as crazy as that, so hopefully all will be cool.

I really liked Queens' room, pool and staff (the housekeepers, in particular, were fantastic and fun people) and was tempted to return. I even gave Queens five stars in TripAdvisor. But some of their "rules" made you feel less of a valued or trusted guest and more "us and them". For example, the long list of room items that Queens gave you on arrival detailing all the charges for any missing room items was not exactly a friendly start. I also got used to friendly managers like the amazing Joy at Tiger and the husband & wife team at Pacific Breeze / Central Park (can't remember their names off-hand, but something like Rosalyn and her Canadian husband). In contrast, even though I had over two months staying at Queens, the owner and manager never even said a "Hi, how's it going".

Tiger was my main hotel for about a decade and they really made you feel welcome. But since Joy left, it seems to have gone down quite a bit.

I'm looking forward to WO. Arguably it has the best pool in Angeles.

Cheers.

Repeating this exchange from Angeles City thread.

I stayed at Queen's last October, and the receptionists called my room complaining that I could not have three girls in my room. I had to explain that they were only visiting and not staying the night. This would not happen in ABC or the Penthouse. Funny fact is that the girls were all from the hotel's upstairs bar. Also, I find their rooms too small. When I visited their restaurant this month, I found the food portions much smaller and quality poorer, than in October. Will not be booking at Queen's anytime soon.I had booked 4 nights into Queens just before you posted this. Maybe I should cancel Queens and up my budget a little. I'm not even there yet and they cannot provide a non smoking room unless I upgrade. This probably belongs in the AC Hotel thread.

they cannot provide a non smoking room unless I upgrade.I like the place but I, too, ran into the smoking issue last visit. Apparently they have just one non-smoking room per type. The got me in a non-smoking the first part of the trip but the last night I had to change. Perhaps I was lucky: No bad odor whatsoever. It did create a bit of a problem coordinating that last day's visit from a BG the night before. "What you mean you not know room number?" The front desk did give me a "predicted" room number (which turned out to be correct) but I ended up getting a SIM card for one day just in case.

The only real problem I have with the place is the elevators: They have those touch-sensitive "buttons" and I sometimes have to touch them six or more times before it works. It must be something about my electrical field: The hotel I stay at in MNL has the same model elevators and I have the same problem. The elevator is made by Schindler, so in the UK and the Commonwealth countries it would be Schindler's Lift.

People complaining about the size of rooms obviously were too cheap or miserly and reserved the least expensive. Get the deluxe balcony overlooking the pool and you'll have no problem with size or smoking. As for girls, I've had three - no problem. Although this was before the renovation last fall. Since then, we've noticed presence of German manager (or 'owner' or whatever he is)- an on site kind of guy: see him upstairs in the game room getting drunk with his pals.

What I'm used to is still a good room at the entry level price and that normally suits me fine. I think your name calling is less than helpful and entirely unnecessary because it turns out that ignorance is not the same as too cheap or miserly.

E. What type of room he stayed in, I sought to clarify in order to assist you. For a hotel of this size to have 6 different room types is an absurdity, which you'll soon see if you decide to extend your stay. In the future, I'd offer the suggestion of doing more research yourself: contact hotel directly, tripadvisor, or agoda. And be prepared to pointed questions. Good luck.

I always handle my women gently. Learned long ago if you get rough you put a hole in her and she deflates. Oh, you mean the Pinays?

I like the place (staying there again in May) but I agree about the absurdity of the number of room types. One would think that if they were a little more realistic and cut it down to, say, three, they could have a couple non-smokers per type. Size-wise I've always been satisfied (that's what SHE said), but I take the Superior or Superior Deluxe, so the middle tier of their stack, which have almost half again the space of the cheaper ones. That is one of my criteria in shopping and I always check the square feet / meters. Being in a walk-in closet for a week in a place like AC would really suck, and not in the good way!

On every corner you can get a typical American or Filipinos or anything breakfast with a lot of eggs and meat, but is there also a place where they serve a sweet continental breakfast without meat and instead with cheese, yogurt, marmalade, toast, orange juice and a like?

Thanks.Try Angel's Bakery. It is located maybe 50 meters past the Jeepney terminal on Field's Avenue in the direction of the Friendship Gate. The store front is yellow which is also the color of the staff's uniform. It has all manner of pastry as well as conventional breakfast fare. And the cook can make an egg without fucking it up which seems to be a talent in short supply in the PI. They also have fresh squeezed OJ. Additionally, they serve the usual over-salted and indigestible Filipino breakfast items which will be to the liking of your morning-after Filipina date.

The owner is German and he serves perhaps the best of the wurst in AC. The female staff has been there for years which should tell you something about the character of the place.

I am smitten by one of the waitresses there. Her name is Sunshine. She is tall for a Filipina, maybe 5'7". On the sunny side of 30, delightful face, a charming manner and by her flirtations she appears to be in the market for somebody. Who will be the lucky one to claim her as his trophy?

The coffee is good. They can give you a sliced and diced mango on the side. Good luck getting a seat. They're hard to come by at certain times.

They open at six or maybe they don't. At 6:07 I approached.

X: what time do you open?

A: We're not open now.

X: Okay, but what time do you open?

A: 6 am.

X: That was ten minutes ago.

A: We're not open (says the lazy fool wearing a cook uniform).

Been awhile since you conquered Burma while you ditched your family in the lilliputian rooms of Grand United Hotel and scuttled off to the Emperor (only 5 minutes away, as you proudly told us!) after putting your family to bed. I had booked 4 nights into Queens just before you posted this. Maybe I should cancel Queens and up my budget a little. I'm not even there yet and they cannot provide a non smoking room unless I upgrade. This probably belongs in the AC Hotel thread.I did not change my reservation mostly because location was highly emphasized in an earlier post and that appealed to me. When I checked in it was a long process with 2 clerks discussing something about my reservation. I had followed their confirmation instructions and presented that print out at check in. As time dragged on I asked the man checking me in if there was a problem with the booking. I got no response. I waited more then asked again with no response. After the 3rd round of this I was blunt and said "I've asked you 3 times are you going to answer me or not?" he simply said "no problem". What's the deal with a 15 minute check in? I never did find out what the issue was, perhaps the request for a non-smoking room. As we finished up the transaction I had to ask for my passport back that was still in the copier. I also had to ask for my CC back that was at the other end of the counter. The room was OK for me. It did not have any lingering smoking smell even though there was an ashtray in place. One of the small lights did not work and I called to have it repaired. The same man took that call and no one ever came. WIFI was good but some confusion about which router to logon to. I never had to use the password provided and I was on some open router within the hotel. On day 2 an American manager was in the hallway with an assistant chasing this problem and asked to see how I was connected as I arrived back at my room. Apparently they had a problem but I did not. One morning when I went out I forgot and left my phone in the room. I never really used my phone in AC. When I got back to Manila and tried to book a Grab Taxi I had no money left on my phone. I know very little about tips and tricks of such things and I'm left wondering if the maids removed my Globe SIM card and transferred the balance to their own number. The phone itself is password locked. OTH maybe I just used it all up. When it was time for check-out I stopped by the front desk to get that going as I had a bill from The Living Room bar on the top floor to settle. I had breakfast while they compiled that. After breakfast I went to settle up and as I offered my CC the clerk refused it and said "oh no sir, you've already paid". I could have walked away from a 7,500 P bill but that is not my style and I got her back on track. In some ways I think this report is just reflective of experiences while mongering in Asia. Still, next time I'll stay at ABC as was recommended to me.

I was chatting with a friend of mine today who is a frequent visitor to Angeles, and usually stays at ABC for a couple of weeks at a time. He told me that the pool and pool bar areas of Tower 4 (the new tower) are getting extremely popular. Despite his VIP status at the hotel, he could not get a room in that tower, so obviously the hotel is doing very well. I'll be back there the week after next after an absence of about 3 months, but won't even try to stay in the new tower as the older rooms are fine for me.

I do look forward to seeing what the Aqua Club looks like after dark, as it was not open the last time I was there.

They needed to get a 4 year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management to obtain that degree of incompetence.Probably due to "contractulaztion"! The 4 year degreed employees are on 6 month contracts so employers don't have to pay them benefits. So the staff person is either coming or going at any given time. The ones coming don't know anything and the ones going don't care about anything. Welcome to Philippines!

It was next to Savannah Hotel on Perimeter Road, not too far from the road leading to the VFW. Red Planet had not yet been built at the time.

The Japanese owner was delighted when he learned that we could converse in Japanese, and showed me around the place. Rooms all looked different, but all were clean and presentable, if a bit sparse. Decor a bit bizarre, as in cigar store wooden Indian. Owner was friendly, and assured me no problem with bringing in girls at any time. 24 hour restaurant on premises.

Remember making a mental note to stay there someday if looking for budget accommodations but, for one reason or another, never did, although stayed next door at the Savannah a few times.

Seemed like a friendly place. The kanji (Japanese character, like Chinese non-pinyin) near the top of the building front is read "Yu" or "tomo" in Japanese and means "friend".

I wanted to get some paint for my girl to paint her boarding house. I told her this is going to be a nightmare. The first major hardware store, in a large city, we went to didn't have any colors in gallons, except for white. The second place was a larger than usual Handyman that had computerized mixing. While the girl was mixing the paint (the cheaper one, at first it was going to be 1,800), I asked another guy to help me find a roller, brush and tray. Check, check. . Doh. No paint trays. Seriously, no trays. Not just out of stock, they just don't have any. And next week they won't have any, and in 6 months they still won't. I was finished and couldn't go searching other stores. So the guy finally guided me to the plastics and I got a basin they can use to pour it in. Haha. It's a test, my friend. Always be nice even if it's hard.

I noticed overly long check-in / out at Queens and Central Park. Come to think of it, in both cases it was the last time I stayed in either. In the case of Central P, it was still their soft opening (years ago) so I'm sure the bugs were worked out.

As for Crzy4 Thai, maybe they were trying to get him the best possible room. Maybe they needed to spray air freshener because some moron smoked in the non-smoking room. It's always best to stay friendly and relaxed in these situations. I don't always follow this advice unfortunately. It's easy to get irritable after a long trip, or worse, long time differences, not to mention unexpected craziness as Crzy has described.

They like to say, "have a seat". If I've been using a taxi / bus / airplane for any amount of time, I don't want to sit. I'm tired of sitting and I want to get down to business. Business might mean work, but probably means finding or meeting a little lovely that will make some fireworks for me.

Filipinos like teasing others and are used to being teased. So this is one strategy to speed things up in a fun way. Use this strategy briefly with hotel front desk, after all they are busy during check in out time. They will get the message.

I saw this in action in Borocay. Table of twenty, our protective Filipino would shout out something to the passing waiter. She laughed, so did he.

I did not change my reservation mostly because location was highly emphasized in an earlier post and that appealed to me. When I checked in it was a long process with 2 clerks discussing something about my reservation. SNIP - unusual customer service experience report.

Sam14 and Xman, you are so right! It absolutely is best to always be nice. Just an acknowledgement of my inquiry would go a long way towards common courtesy on his part but I gained nothing by pressing. Probably I should have excused myself to go empty my bladder and repeated that phrase "Don't let your mouth get your ass in trouble".

As you say, XM, Pinays love to tease, although sometimes with a rather perverse sense of humor, and at the expense of the porriner. It may informative to know what they are actually saying.

I remember in one case, a Filipina from Cebu frequently and lovingly referring to her Brit BF in Bisayan as her "(species of ugly fish)". Apparently, he thought she was using a term of endearment. Other Pinays, upon hearing the word, were hard pressed to keep a straight face.

In another case, the Pinay taught a newbie porriner how to say the equivalent of "I am a d*mb f*ck" or similar, telling him it meant "Can you please help me"? The porriner was quite proud of his new phrase, and used it many times until finally another porriner took pity on him and explained what the phrase really meant.

On the other hand, maybe ignorance sometimes really is bliss?

Have seen similar local comedies in Taiwan, China, and Korea.

May we assume this is meant as an aside advice to yourself, as in, "don't let your mouth overload your ass"? Given the nature of much of the Filipino street cuisine, this could be interpreted very differently if you say it loud enough for the desk clerk to hear.

On my last visit in March I stayed at the Royal Amsterdam Hotel. It is located right on fields street, in the middle of the action. Price was not that bad and they had a discount if you paid cash, and if you stayed so many days. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the Hotel was super clean. Wi-fi worked well in the different rooms I stayed in and they had two complimentary bottles of water daily. As with most Hotels I've stayed at in AC, they are girl friendly and call when she leaves.

The best thing about the hotel is the coffee in the restaurant. It is superb!! I am a coffee snob and loved it. Their breakfast was very good and had large portions.

If I had to say anything negative about the Hotel, it would be they don't have a lift and the beds are on the firm side.

I would definitely recommend this Hotel!

Over the past week I found it more convenient to use some short term solutions as visiting pinay / massage girls always poke around my condo too much.

Flamingo Hotel. Balibago.

A convenient option from Walking St. P300 for 3 hours. Rooms are simple and a little old. Steel doors, basic cold shower with bucket and scoop. TV in my room had poor signal and snowy picture.

Hotel Inn Crown. Near Perimeter Bars.

Located a block behind Perimeter, Porky's area. P280 for 4 hours. Towels were pathetic. TV had good quality porn which plays continuously.

No ID requested in either place.

Would use Hotel Inn Crown again.

A small place on Makiling Street (at corner of Sierra Madre), walking distance off Fields (turn off close to Bretto's). Cash ST rate handled discreetly through the bellman or front desk, no ID required, girl friendly, cold beer, and with a nice little interior courtyard parking area so that your car (if you are driving) is not readily visible from the street.

Reminds me of last week when I took a girl to Club Aqua and the waiter recognises me and says"Great to see you again sir". Only problem was that I hadn't taken this girl there before and I was pretending to be a newbie.

On its own, this is a great hotel. At this price point, it's an excellent hotel!! A little dated but everything is clean and appears to be well maintained.

The staff are very friendly and professional. They always greet you with a smile and you don't get the "walk of shame" stigma.

I did have a few issues.

- The shower drain was clogged. I mentioned this to Mel as I was going out and it was fixed when she cleaned my room.

- There were about a dozen tv channels when I first got there and within a day I only had four channels. I mentioned this and they weren't able to fix it. Not sure what technology gremlin attacked in the night. (But I do have very fond memories of getting a blow job in my room by a girl while watching Game 4 of the NBA finals and getting a two girl blowjob while sipping a beer and watching Golden State win in Game 5. So, really, it's not that big of an issue.).

- Towel policy. I hate the limitations on how many towels they are willing to give you.

- I wanted to extend my stay and they were very accommodating to make the changes.

- The concierge always had change to break a large note for my daily needs.

I was concerned about the noise coming from High Society but it never bothered me. Even when I would sit by the pool at night, it wasn't that loud.

They are slowly demolishing the building next door and that had some construction noise. It wasn't too bad while I was there. Not sure what will be built on that site but the future construction will be loud and will probably start early in the day.

Recommend Score Birds for:

- the pool and 24 hour restaurant and bar.

- The layout. Especially the entrance. Is very inviting. There is no front door to be opened; just say Hello, to the doorman and walk in. A lot of the Perimeter girls had not heard about Score Birds but as soon as they walk in, there is no ostentatious lobby or a barrier of a door, but a very inviting swimming pool and you could see the girls smiling.

- Location to Fields.

- Clean comfortable room and very solid beds. Not a creak to be heard.

- Drinking water in the room.

- No issues with booking through Agoda and no delay in check in or check out.

I didn't like:

- I wasn't that impressed with the swimsuit costume or the evening live events. But I understand that a lot of guests would really enjoy the bikini competition or the Friday night live band etc.

- Stupid towel policy.

- Shower water pressure low and the hot water was barely lukewarm.

The coffee is good. They can give you a sliced and diced mango on the side. Good luck getting a seat. They're hard to come by at certain times.

Try Angel's Bakery.

The female staff has been there for years which should tell you something about the character of the place.Angeles Bakery is on Perimeter road right next to Pony Tails and they serve awesome breakfasts and lunches. And very affordable. This was my go to place! Scrambled eggs cooked perfectly, a proper coffee made on order from freshly ground beans and amazingly good cinnamon buns to go with the coffee.

Lunch was usually a sandwich on freshly baked bread. And a cinnamon bun or strudel for dessert.

A lot of locals would come in here and buy bread or for those sitting down, the waitresses knew exactly what they wanted. This one older German gentleman, obviously a regular, joined his friend at a table and ordered white sausages. However today, he didn't want the pretzel. Just the sausage with mustard. The poor waitress was so confused as to how he could change his regular order, why did he change it, is he okay, did the doctor say something, was the pretzel not good yesterday? It was very funny to see how much she cared and even when she brought his sausages, she kept asking if he wanted the pretzel. For crying out loud regulars, don't change your routine. It messes with the waitresses.

With my schedule, I saw a lot of the same people at breakfast every day and a similar crowd for lunch. A lot of expats with their families would be there for lunch. Nice to see a family venue in a place like Perimeter road. This says a lot about the place.

I can't say enough good things about their food and service. Highly recommended. Especially the cinnamon bun.

Based on others who recommended this hotel (see below) I stayed at Score Birds for 2 nights 3 days with no reservation. I paid as I recall 2,900 pesos night. The BAD (as other have reported) is the early morning 3 AM pounding music noise coming from next door is bothersome so if you're the type of person that needs silence to sleep this may not be the place for you. The ONLY other bad is the lack of hot water and water pressure in the shower.

Aside from these two negatives everything else is GREAT including the easy in and out for your girl guest, the pool and pool side bar, the exceptional friendly attitudes of all the hotel staff, room air conditioning, strong wifi, the food served 24/7, the beautiful rooms with great furnishings and lighting and the location is superb as your in the heart of the place to be. All is nothing short of perfect.

Yes I will stay here again should I ever return to AC.

Last year when I was in Angeles I tried 3 hotels to find the best one for the future. Each of them had advantages but after reviewing everything I am still on the look for the right one.

First I was in Swiss Chalet. Strong points: Close to Walking Street, big rooms, clean, cheap, mostly quiet. Weak points: No pool, no breakfast included, the furniture seems to be out of the last century, very loud refrigerator.

Old Amsterdam: On Walking Street, still quite, good prices, helpful stuff. Weak points: On Walking Street, pool only at Queens, no breakfast included.

Valentinos: Strong: Clean, new, easy to reach from Walking street, good prices. Weak: No pool, no breakfast, noise from the floors.

So for the future I like to try Queens and Lewis Grand. But maybe there are better recommendations. What is important for me: Quiet at night, no noise, so sleeping is at least an opportunity. Breakfast! Why don't they offer a good breakfast buffet?! I know they have it in Clarkton, but I don't like the rooms there and it's far away from the action. Pool is also a must in Angeles. Close to Walking Street of course. Good prices which means for me around 50 €/ night or less in Angeles.

Thanks for any advice.

So I noticed my reservation for next week showed my Score Birds Superior room was listed as a smoking room. I called the booking site to change it and they called the hotel and the hotel says that all their rooms are smoking rooms. Is this true? Does it smell like smoke? I read pages of tripadvisor reviews but didn't see any complaints about a smoke smell. Anybody know? A room that smells like smoke would be a deal breaker for me.

Thanks.

Rooms from 2100 PhP but the best rooms are 2500 PhP or up, because the cheapest rooms don't have windows. And if you pay cash you get a 10% discount.

Thanks.A few years ago I had booked a non-smoking room there. A non-smoking room may not be a dedicated one but one that they use deodorizer to mask the smell. That was the type of room I got and the odor never went away. I left the next day.

Some hotels have NS rooms but the common areas and restaurants reek of smoke odors. That is why I stick with a hotel that has a NS policy through the property.

Thanks for any info given.Have used AirBNB in AC. The unit I had was very close to a 7-11. Was suitable for my purpose. I did not feel as secure at the particular apartment as I do in a hotel or my regular place.

I have been using AirBNB in Manila for my past few visits. Have also been suitable.

In AC & Manila coordinating with the owners is just that little bit harder than it needs to be.

Yay for Dutere!I have been a non-smoker for nearly 50 years, and I like restrictions that keep second-hand smoke away from me and tobacco products away from school children.

I do not like the heavy smell of cigarette smoke on people's clothes or hair. But I confess I have a much different reaction to the smell or taste of smoke on a woman when we start to get intimate. My first two sexual experiences were with women who smoked, and these were not "professional ladies," so there was lots of DFK. In those days there were no public information campaigns about the dangers of smoking, so smoking was probably more widespread than it is today. But those first experiences were so strongly imprinted in my memory that for me, the taste of smoke on a woman's mouth, and especially her tongue, is still a libidinal trigger for me. Weird? Maybe, but I presume that most libidinal triggers reside in the brain, and some of those triggers may be lurking down in the deep recesses of our minds.

Her long soft hair always smelled good and she wore the same cologne. She was the most sensual woman I had ever met, her lips were soft, she knew how to kiss, she knew how to hold and caress my head as I kissed and sucked on her nipples, she would lightly kiss and lick my balls and dick and then slowly give me a blow job and DT. Then she would always hold my dick and slowly guide me in to her V and start with some slow gyrations. And the soft moaning "fuck me". Oh shit! The affair ended after a few months but every time I smelled that cologne on someone I would instantly have flash backs and a woody! One time to my embarrassment as I turned around to see who I was smelling (with a woody) it was a 70 yo gray haired granny! I wished I had gotten the name of that cologne.

I stayed at Apollonia Royale which is on a quiet back street not far from the main road leading into Walking Street. Recently built and the rooms were clean and nicely appointed. Decent hot water and shower. Not luxurious but good enough. Wifi was great and staff were very nice. Price was midrange and came with a light breakfast every morning. They didn't check any girls ID. That's why I stay in the newer hotels that are 100% non smoking including the common areas. My first time in AC I had a non smoking room in Savanah Hotel. The hall ways and common areas stunk and some a holes were smoking in the resto during breakfast.

It is bad enough when I am in mission position with the girl and I smell the smoke in her hair. Yuck, about to lose my stiffie, that's why I make her CG me! Even if they shampoo their hair the smell is still there.

Yay for Dutere! The smoke smelling hair is a big turnoff that's for sure.

Hi Gents,

Just got back from a 2 week stay again at the Central Park Tower Resort. I can honestly still say if you are looking for a high quality at a good price without paying super high prices, this hotel cannot be beat in terms of location, overall value, and quality of rooms. Their basic rooms start at 3300 pesos per night, which is about $65 USA Dollars and if you pay in pesos (or cash as they say, not credit card) they will give you a 10% discount off your total stay. I always take advantage of this cash discount which is a nice perk. The location is phenomenal and it is positioned right behind Fields Avenue, and Atlantis, Dollhouse, Crystal Palace, Lollipop, and Tropix Bar are all no more than 100 meters away. So, it is so convenient to be near Fields Avenue and have quick assess to bars and restaurants such as Tequila Reef and Kokomo's.

Management and the staff at the front desk never said no to any of my requests, and were very timely when I asked for extra towels, or any other basic request I had. The staff are very friendly and there are always doorman at the front that open the door for you which is a nice touch. They also act as security on the property. The view on the rooftop is excellent and it has an awesome infinity pool with a decent restaurant. Girls love it when you take them up there for a twilight drink, meal, or swim during the day. The rooms are well done with marble showers, floors, nice beds, and well appointed. They do have some rooms that are upgraded but in my opinion the standard room is more than sufficient. All rooms have a jacuzzi in the bathroom which is a nice feature. This hotel is always super booked, and they are building an entire new wing as an addition to the hotel to accommodate the extra demand so that speaks for itself.

If you want to book, I recommend booking on their website which is cpangeles.com Their rates with the discount are the same or lower than you will find at any of the hotel specific websites. Also, when booking direct with them, if you have to change dates such as shortening or lengthening your stay, they do not penalize you nor force you to stay the duration.

Thanks a lot for the review. How about the noise from the construction work? Was it bearable or did you have a room at the quiet side?Hello Mogwai, I did not recall the noise being an issue at all as I think the walls and windows are soundproofed sufficiently. There is always construction ongoing in Angeles City and very nearby this hotel and other hotels like Penthouse, Wild Orchid, would also be affected. In fact ABC hotel is building a new entertainment complex near the hotel, there is a building being built at the end of Fields Ave. Near Atlantis go go bar. But, to answer your question, no, the noise is not an issue.

Reading through the forum, the popular belief seems to be that to get the best rate, one needs to go to the hotel, pay in cash and you get a 10% discount.

I have found that the rate you can get on the web with Agoda, Bookings.com, etc are always lower than what one would be able to negotiate at the front desk. By way of example, Scorebird has posted a rate of PHP2,100. With a 10% cash discount, that rate comes to PHP1,890. On Agoda, the same rate is PHP1,621.

I don't understand how am establishment can charge a higher rate than what a third party is able to charge for, incur a credit card processing fee, and still make a profit while the hotel wouldn't match the lower nightly charge. What am I missing here?

What am I missing here?I may be wrong, but I believe the booking sites buy rooms from the hotel in advance and then sell them from their own inventory. The hotel gives these sites a bulk discount because the hotel loves to have rooms already sold, even if they turn out not to be occupied. In fact, it is better for them to be sold but not occupied (no housekeeping). Third parties used to (maybe they still do) buy airline seats in bulk for a discount and then resell them. The prices they charged per seat were set by the number of seats they still had to sell.

The prices they charged per seat were set by the number of seats they still had to sell.A friend of mine owns a hotel. Online hotel websites do not buy the rental rooms. However they are allocated certain number of rooms to sell. This is why when search websites some of them say all sold out and at the same time others still show rooms left. This is part of the contract hotel owners sign. There is a time limit for the websites to sell the rooms. If not sold the hotel can sell those rooms. Websites do get a commission for selling the rooms. There is where low prices on the websites come from. They are willing to take less commission by virtue of volumes they sell. Hotels will stick to the original price but if somebody walks in or calls on that day you need the room they are willing to reduce their rates. This also depends on number of nites. For us we would like to have a guaranteed hotel room before we arrive but I have seen many mongers walk in and ask for rooms. It may be because they are not happy where they are or to escape from a certain girl.

Best thing to do is book a room. There is no penalty if you cancel before arrival if you can find better options. There is nothing worse than running around with your bags in hot weather looking for rooms. If you have a rental car you can go around and see. I have done this in many countries except Philippines and Thail where I do not dare rent a car.

Rooms for 1700 includes one breakfast. Big comfy beds. Small windows, which is a negative for me. Even the roadside rooms are reasonably quiet. Hotel has a pool.

It's probably been twenty years since I first stayed at this place. The quality and service have always been spotty. Back in the day I loved the big balcony rooms over the pool. The pool never seemed to close. At night there would be bar girls going for a swim wearing only their underclothes.

The new "rainbow" tower was completed years ago, but the rooms (in the old building) around the pool are still a work in progress. I'm guessing they will be open by the holidays. The pool is open. Only one elevator.

Unique service at this hotel is the 24 hour turnaround. I had a late flight into Clark which was delayed until it became a very early flight. With a 2 am check in I knew where to go. Hotel America! With a 2 am check-in you need not check out until 2 am the next day. I did transfer the next day, but there was no rush.

This is one of the few hotels in AC that include breakfast in the room rate. There were only three errors in my breakfast. I asked for a Filipino breakfast with tocino, eggs over easy, and tea. First they served instant coffee, which I sent back. When the food came I was too hungry to make another complaint. Sausage instead of tocino; eggs sunnyside up instead of over easy. But I recommend trying to overlook the poor service. I've long had a suspicion that they are treated poorly by the management.

To sum up, this hotel is far from perfect. Nevertheless, 1700 for a newish, decently sized room in a hotel with a pool is pretty good value. X Man.

La Teresita.

Stayed in Deluxe room at 1300 php per day.

Have all the basic requisites.

Coffee maker, all toiletries, 2 complimentary water bottle.

Have a good clean pool, but they close down at 8 pm.

Good staff.

Good Room.

Moderate AC in the room.

Have the call into room when visitor leaving and arriving. Have a good doorman who is armed and always cheerfull.

They don't accept cards either and that's a big minus.

The path leading to hotel is a bit dark and seems like the kids are troublesome lots.

Would repeat the stay.

I am visiting AC next week and had a mix up with hotel booking, resulting in needing a last minute deal. I had booked CPT for 8 nights but they could only offer Crown Executive room for 5 nights of the stay and its 5500 P.S. Per night, which is outside my room budget. Looking around I found on Agoda that they are offering various LGH rooms at really low prices, with the cheapest under 2500 P.S. Per night (plus tax about 12%) and I ended up booking their Grand Suite for 5 nights at just 3100 per night total including taxes.

Just wonder if anyone knows why this would be so cheap, for what must be one of the best hotels in AC? Anyway I'm looking forward to trying it out, there will be reports!

Queens Hotel. Hands down the best location, room quality, and overall value in the area. Attached resto is pretty decent. You will not be disappointed by Queens hotel, ever. Stayed here numerous times. Hell I would live here if it was a bit cheaper. American owners and staff always on site. Cash discount! +++ Save yourself the trouble and worry and just pick Queens hotel for your stay. You can't do better.

Central Park. Somewhat overpriced, but great room quality and location, also a very good rooftop bar / resto. Also full of filipinos having weddings and whatnot. Kind of funny sharing an elevator with a bunch of locals while you have a girl on your arm.

Clarkton- 5-10 minute trike ride away from fields, but this can be a good thing if you want a refuge from the insanity and scum by walking street. Really awesome resto with a great buffet, some of the best food in AC. Suite and above rooms are some of the most spacious and nice in AC, with a really good bed. Any chick who complains about a 5 minute trike ride to get to your nice, quiet hotel should be laughed at and dumped immediately if she complains twice about "far away". Attached bar has some cuties, so does the KTV, just be warned that they will be hesitant to go back to your room at the hotel since the staff will see them. Takes a little persuading. A bit pricey, but worth it.

Penthouse. Mismanaged crapshoot, and very loud if you get a room on the wrong side of the street. Skip unless you can get an airbnb room here for half price (very common). The rooftop resto is terrible. Some of the worst food I have had in AC. Avoid at all costs. You will also be swamed by homeless children if you leave through the A. Santos exit.

ABC. Way too expensive, the rooms are overly glitzy and its actually on the cheesy side. The beds are nice at least. Skip unless you love blowing cash on hotel rooms. For some reason the security does not chase away Viagra peddlers and meth addicted homeless wandering around just outside the parking lot. For the price, I would expect a private military operation regularly street sweeping with automatic weapons in a 2 block radius. Whatever, it's the Philippines, hotel security loves encouraging beggers and methheads. They even throw change at them sometimes to 'go away' (hint: they just come back for change again, later). So fucking stupid.

AIRBNBs. Stay away from the dip shit trying to rent out 'sun and moon condotel' rooms, the dude is a total scammer and manages like 50% of the airbnb properties in AC. They are all garbage, 100%. Find stuff managed by Philippe, his rooms are always actually modernized and new. Always. Always. Always book just 1 or 2 nights first to take a look at the place. Do not under any circumstances book week / month in advance without seeing the quality of the room and neighborhood. Even get in touch with property owners and have them show it to you before you pay through airbnb. There are plenty of cheap gems in the area, and some really close by. Just don't give these people a dime until you know you aren't getting some shady Filipino style roach motel room that goes for 2 k pesos a month. Kandi tower rooms can also be a great deal, but fair warning it is actually pretty far away, and you have to run the gauntlet of beggers / locals if you plan to walk from there to fields.

- Foreigner can expect 30 k-40 k monthly room cost for a modern style room with the "best" internet available, within walking distance to the action.

- If you want to pay below this, expect a shit neighborhood, filipino style habitation, or some serious bullshit just waiting to fuck you over, like nosy security / staff or locals getting into your business. Maybe you can get a better deal on a nice place if you don't mind renting a car / bike and living further outside of the downtown area.

- Think twice about renting from people who are going on vacation and expect you to house-sit for them. If you show up and some clown has a bunch of his own shit laying around everywhere, and a locked closet and a bunch of grody towels and used furnishings. Gtfo of there. Do not give these assholes a dime. Use your money to buy accommodation from actual hosts who provide actual host services. Lots of old pricks gouging renters and providing zero support or modern furnishings despite a premium price, and god help you if something happens to the place while you are staying there. They can and will blame you.

Other good restos:

VFW post resto. Great american food, nice pub full of expats to shoot the shit with.

Banh Mi Something on fields- actually decent Vietnamese sandwiches and soups. Very small place though, so suggest takeout if you are claustrophobic.

Yu Fu In. The only "good" "Japanese" food in AC, quotes because its Philippines. A bit far away.

I'll report back on value for money! So my views on LGH after 5 nights in January, we'll it's still pretty nice and I would say it's not bad vfm, but must have seen better days. Staff are nice and friendly, even the guy who came to collect the mouse that fell out of the air con unit, still twitching! I can't help feeling that the rest of its family were still up there! It is a long way from the action, but there is a "free" mini bus service up to fields and back. No problem with bringing girls in, and call you when they leave. I took one down to get her a trike, and the doorman organised the minibus to take her home. Room was massive, clean and even had carpet on the floor, didn't see that anywhere else. I booked the grand suite room, through Agoda, and the total cost for 5 nights was 20,000 ps, with all the taxes. Just beware that this will add around 20% to quoted hotel rates. Would I stay again? I would, but it would be second or third choice after Central Park Tower and possibly Queens. Downsides? Getting a bit shabby, long way to Fields, though good exercise if you walk. Didn't see many guests either.

Herman the German.

Set in a garden atmosphere, off the main roads, run by Herman who will be speak to most guests, Romantic accordion player is sometimes a little creepy. Nice place to go for authentic German fare.

Italian Cowboy.

Italian restaurant run by an Aussie guy. Most meals seem to include free wines.

Meals I have had there have been good.

The owner used to run / work at a butcher shop in Hensonville.

Picolo Padre.

Has been mentioned a few times. Upscale and worth it. Dress to impress here.

Excellent presentation and taste.

1. Is it reasonable walking distance to Fields Avenue or is transportation required.

Hard to tell from the map.

2. Does the hotel have lifts.

3. Where do you put your valuables. In-room safe or at downstairs lobby?

Really enjoyed my two week stay at this hotel. Rooms are clean and spacious, and the price is reasonable. Stayed in the standard / executive cheapest option, and there was enough room to accommodate all my visitors. No problems with hosting as many girls as I wished at any time of the day or night. Food was good, location great, and everything worked well. I think so far its my best valued hotel in AC.

As for pricing, my conclusion is that anything to do with logic in the Philippines is a fail.

Are the On-Call Massage Therapists at these hotels, real massage therapists, or are they working girls offering full-service bareback? It seems to me like it's a super convenient way to get a girl ASAP, even when you are in the middle of Fields Avenue surrounded by pussy.

If you use the incall service of the hotel you never know what you get. Might just as well be a hot 18 yo or a 40+ cow. And you certainly don't know if she will offer extra services.

Do any hotels in AC charge guest fees? In Colombia, they charge you if you have a guest after 10 PM, whether they come upstairs after 10 PM or whether they arrived earlier and don't leave until midnight.

What hotels require and check ID, what hotels don't? Sometimes I've seen hotels just require a sign-in, name and signature if a guest comes without ID.

I see some good deals for Lewis Grand for this month when I go. Which type room would anyone recommend? Why are the rooms with the balconies and pool views cheaper than the ones without? They are offering good deals probably because the place is falling apart. The owner was killed in a mafia style hit a few years ago and the place has been in decline since then. Having stayed there on four occasions, I would not recommend it

The more expensive room without balcony and pool views will have the Hollywood Bed. It's the biggest bed I've ever seen and can comfortably fit one western mongerer and five chicas.

The less expensive rooms will have a standard bed which can only fit one western mongerer and two chicas.

Most hotels will call your room when the chica leaves to make sure you haven't been robbed.

You can take as many hookers into your room as you like. No one cares.

Not the most original name for a hotel, but the fields walking Street hotel is solid. Paid about 45-50 per night for the deluxe room which has a huge bed, wall length mirrors on each side of the bed, and an A/C unit that works almost too well. Experienced two power outages, but the generator kicked on immediately both times and the power was retired within 20 min. Fully stocked mini fridge, but no microwave and a decent size TV with international cable channels. The front desk personnel are extremely accommodating and helpful. They even arranged for my pickup and drop off at the airport. They are located right across the street from baby dolls hotel and if you blink you'll miss it. I think it only has 8 total rooms. Also has a small roof top pool, jacuzzi, and grilling / bar area. Less than a minute to get to tequila reefs and their amazing food. Cleanliness is a solid 9, location 10. Highly recommend.

What are short time hotels like? Are there any without central lobbies that you have to pass through, like motels I guess? The recommended hotels are pretty nice, but also pretty vanilla. Are there any with large mirrors?

Has anyone ever tried renting a house or apartment with AIRBNB or similar sites? I am toying with the idea of having a private crash pad with a pool, kitchen, etc. , for house parties, etc.

Any thoughts or opinions are welcome.

Thanks.Never used them in AC but have in many places world wide. Usually you will get a furnished place, kitchen utensils etc for around half of a hotel. Monthly rates can be not much more than a normal 6 month lease sometimes. Watch out I have seen exact same places in same block at twice what other places go for.

It is very common to see one of the rules no parties so if you had enough of a party going on that it was reported to the owner (host in airbnb speak) you could find yourself kicked out.

Look around, take one short term to test it out and then if you want it longer term talk to the host directly and avoid Airbnb fees.

You can always talk to a hotel about a longer term stay, they will sometimes give substantial discounts when they do not expect to be full every night.

Thanks.I've tried a few different AirBNB in Angeles. They are generally family apartments in apartment complexes. Neighbours are less forgiving and more mosey.

It's more likely you will be walking past the same people as you escort girls, No 1, No 2, No 3 past each morning and night.

If you are here for 1-2 weeks then I suggest a hotel. They just have the extra level of assistance, concierge etc that you might need.

It has happened twice here my AirBNB host has wanted to change dates at the last minute. Of course not realizing it costs $$ to dates of travel.

Filipino AirBNB hosts aim to provide the minimum viable product. (I have dealt with 5 different hosts).

Enjoy your stay.

I read somewhere about Flamingo: http://www.balibago.org/balibago_shorttime_hotels/Flamingo_Hotel.php.

It is perhaps the dirtiest AC hotel I have been in. Cold bucket scoop shower. BUT they have great full length mirror which was your requirement.

I THINK eurotel has mirrors above the bed but haven't tried them.

I think pricing for 3 hours is P300-P500.

If you have the time I would head out to Hill Top just behind Perimeter bars.

I sheltered from the drizzle in a sari sari just outside the gate but had observed the heavy monger traffic. She arrived on a trike, we entered together and got a 3 hour room just behind reception on the ground floor. The room was nice, en suite, towels etc. It looked fine for a longer tay. There are plenty other st hotels nearer the strip. You lady will know them all.

I was going to take two mince pies for a cum shower at the back of Walking Street but I didn't trust the way they sided up to my pockets. Short time hotels are good as they give the 4 excuse to break off engagements and send them on their way with a bat on the bum and some chump change.

Hilltop Hotel is on a grotty uncobbled side street. The only one who wil see you are the security guard and the cashier, who have sween it all before. I got my hoa to phone up when we were leaving (required) and gave her 500 to pay, with her keeping the change. ; She treated herself to a jeepney back to her base. I do know there are people that stay at Hill Top for extended days BUT it's primarily a short time hotel in my view. An extended stay will mean you are seeing a daily parade of short time visitors. PM also points out the back street location which means less support options IE foods, vendors, restaurants etc. It is easy to get trikes.

In my view.

Enjoy your stay.Don't worry too much about the Filipino neighbors, as there is nothing you can do to scandalize them. They have seen it all, and probably done it all too. If you are a foreigner in Angeles City, they know you are there for the cheap sex. The locals do not have to see you parading tarts to your Airbnb lair for daily roots. More likely than not, one of them will see you somewhere with one of your purchases, and word will get back to the apartment complexes anyway. Just give the old women peeking at you from their doorways a sly monger smile and a wink.

On the other hand, some mongers need the extra services of a security guard because they have trouble telling the difference between real girls and lady-boys without actually seeing a sausage and two potatoes. Those fellas are better off with a regular hotel service, as help is only a phone call away in the event that they discover their rental girlfriend is packing a rod and tackle, and 'she' refuses to leave without one or both parties dropping a load.

This is an older hotel and the rooms are large. Unfortunately, they are also dirty. I'm not sure about the upper floors, but the 3rd floor has a cockroach problem. This is one of the few AC hotels that includes breakfast in the fee.

Restaurants.

Herman's is closed. Apparently he died of a heart attack.

Red Sea: the food is good, the service is lousy.

Kokomos: horrible breakfast, but I finally found a dish I actually like there. It's the Pasta Gambino.

Thai: Next to (and part of) ABC hotel is a new Thai restaurant. It isn't cheap, and it isn't as spicy as it should be, but it's pretty good. I ate there twice this week.

Gerry's Grill at SM Clark is always full of people. They must be doing something right. You can also get green curry at the Food Court.

Soul Kitchen on Walking street: Looks pretty cool despite being a Korean bar trying to look like a "cool" Western bar. I really want to try some of the Pinatubo craft beer.

There are multiple worlds in play in Clark and Angeles, not everyone is here for a holiday.

The hotels will still be girl friendly. Will need a grab for access and sending girls home. There are jeepneys which are more expensive of course.

For tourists these hotels don't have outside food options.

Might be OK if you hire a motorbike.

I think if you are here to visit bars, then these hotels are just too far.

They do have an edge of plausible deniability if that is needed.

I just finished a one week stay at Queens. No issues with them regarding girls whatsoever.

Mind you I walked my girls through reception when entering and leaving and all I got were hellos and goodbyes from the staff.

I averaged 2-3 girls per day (separately) and each one got to use the pool and sun beds with no hassle or extra fees. I also ran into the obese gentleman / part owner practically everyday during my pool / meal hours.

The only thing I didn't like was you're only allowed one change of the set of towels in your room per day. With different girls coming in, I always requested a new set of towels at around 300 php per set (after the initial free replacements).

I guess this may be a case of YMMV.

I believe every hotel in Angeles is guest friendly.

The question should be changed to, does any hotel charge you extra for the 2nd or 3rd girl? Out of the 6 hotels I stayed at in Angeles, the answer is no. I hope Angeles doesn't become like Pattaya where many hotels will charge you for the 2nd/3rd girl.

Generally I don't carry towels in my bag (making possibly light), prefer to buy from the store once I arrive the place for the date. And in the end towels are gifted to the girl when I leave. Once a girl requested for the unused condoms; I just politely declined. You may use the towels with your next man and the man may have his pleasure with you but definitely not with my money.

They recently did a refurbish, has a massage shop downstairs, very convenient. I used to stay in an apartment close by, but haven't stayed in Eurasia hotel.

The area is convenient. The white "hensonville" jeepney can take you from terminal to the hotel as all the jeepney's travel down that street.

On the corner of the street with Perimeter you will find a good Italian restaurant. Also close walking distance to ABC / Aqua bar.

So, you have a good location and hopefully a good price.

BTW, I have walked down this street many times at night and not had any problems. If you are concerned in that way.

The girls love it but they find walking into the room a little overwhelming at the start. $155/ night which is good value. Three bottles of Moet in the bar fridge, but it's a pity I don't drink champagne but I'm lucky the girls' taste only runs to Red Horse.

The standard rooms are $120/ night. You are better off paying $35 extra for an Aqua Suite as it's twice as good.

My hotel room is plain and nothing for the girls to get excited about other than a nice shower and comfy bed. No room distractions and we get down to business. During recovery time the girl (s) just lays in bed watching tv or on Facebook using the WiFi. I have on hand a couple extra cell phone chargers and everyone is happy.

Btw, I stock plenty of good shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes and combs. The girls love to shampoo and condition their hair and blow dry while I wait to recover.

Check in is easy and no questions asked.

In the room is a reasonable bed, nice fittings and nice bathroom. Water, tooth brushes, soaps etc.

Check in was fine, room was quite big with double bed and a wider range of TV stations than other places. Had a kitchenette type of arrangement to the side of the bed.

Paid P1. 3 k for the night.

Pros, close to bars but not in the middle of the action. Larger and better bang for buck for the budget.

Cons, nothing special.

The girl I met there turned out to have promised everything but delivered nothing, evening offering to finish me off by hand. Who gets finished off by hand except by a massage girl.

Years ago I had this repeat girl in Manila who was the wettest ever. Turns out she / we left a huge spot of bright red on the duvet cover which bled thru to the blanket. On check out the next morning I grabbed the maid for room check and confessed to the red spot. She looked at me like I had killed someone there! At check out I waited 15 minutes for the layers of bosses to view the bloody mess. Final decision was they could not salvage the blanket but will hide the duvet cover with the rest of the sheets. Blanket cost me 1500.

Could be handy for disposing of dead bodies too. Many years ago, a punter murdered a girl in the room. It was the hotel next to Lewis Grand and the bar girls would refuse to go there. I think that hotel has now been refurbished and has had its name changed.

Have some hydrogen peroxide on hand to get rid of the red in the sheets.
I'm thinking you purchased the bleach locally, because it's banned on airlines.

America Hotel was the first hotel I stayed at in AC. It is now Hotel America. The old wing should be about finished now. I wonder if the ghost is still there. One thing I like about this place is they have a 24 hour policy. So, if you check in at 6 pm, your check out isn't till 6 pm the next day.

Walkabout Hotel at the end of Walking Street (towards McArthur) has a sign outside saying they also rent out their rooms short time. 3 hours for 500 PhP.

For those interested.

Looking at Agoda for hotel options I see scorebird hotel has a room that says specifically "for 2 people only". Any idea if they let you bring two girls back to your room?

I had two just this past Sat night here in Wild Orchid. No questions asked. At my regular hotel I have had up to 4 girls come up with me. Upon walking into the hotel entrance the doorman yells out "welcome home sir xxxxx!" and then hurries to the elevator and punches in my floor.

Scorebirds has the noise issue, but is not a bad hotel, and Wild Orchid has an ant issue. These relentless fuckers have invested my room, and the cleaning girl said they are everywhere, does matter what room. I had her leave me some spray.

Wild Orchid bar service is not very good. The only other place I've had multiple waitress just walk by my empty glass, on multiple occasions, was Africa. Seems you have to bring a Pinay for them to chat up to learn your business to get attention.

Quick update. America Hotel has still not completed the renovation of their old wing. The pool is open though.

By the time they complete the renovation of the old wing, they'll be ready to start renovating the new wing. Seriously, it has been years and years.

Herman's Restaurant has been reopened as Maiks's. There has been a lot of renovation. Parts that were outdoors are now under a roof. It looks pretty good. The menu is new, but there are still German dishes. They've also added a lot of Greek food.

I didn't try the food, but it looks like a good place to check out. I had a glass of wine and they added a shot of ouzo on the house. Nice.

Side note: Allegedly, Herman wasn't married and the assets of Herman restaurant went to the state. Does that sound about right? Does anyone know the basics of Philippine inheritance law?

I doubt things went to the state. It has been sorted out too quickly.

Would love to know the real story.

BD.Pretty simple I imagine. He was not allowed to have controlling interest of anything in his name. Had to have a Filipino holding controlling ownership. Business continues on.

BTW, let me go in between a sweet young pinays legs! I could do without the ST hotel.

BD.Philippine law on natural inheritance is straight forward (as much as anything is here LOL).

Wife first if no wife.

Kids next, siblings all share, if no siblings grand children share.

Then parents, grandparents.

Then aunts and uncles.

Then cousins starting at 1st cousin.

Any relative at one level means that that level the estate is shared between all at that level leaving nothing for the next level.

So if you die without a will no wife but several kids, they all share with nothing for your parents or cousins.

Not sure what happens if no relatives found.

My wingman and I checked in at the ABC hotel last Thursday. So far, I am not overly impressed by the hotel. It may be due to the fact that I read so many good things about it that I came in with high expectations.

My room looks old and awfully gaudy, with pretend furniture. The towels, although plentiful, look like they have been used and washed over and over. Otherwise, the staff are very nice and treating us like rotalty.

The Aqua club was a disappointment. We were there last night, around 10 pm for close to an hour. If there were any FLs, I did not see any. It seemed like everybody knows every other person, and I did not find the setup too suitable for hunting.

It was mentioned that they have a courtesy shuttle. I used it once only. I had to wait a good 10 min for a car to be available, the traffic was pretty bad and I tipped the driver 50 p. I was only going from the hotel to the SM mall. After that, I decided to walk or take a trike from the hotel to WS, for 100 p. That is a serious issue for me, as I enjoy spending my evenings in WS, and a local hotel would have been better for me.

I have to confess that I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. I don't know what kind of room you had, but today I checked into an Aqua Suite which is absolutely fantastic! I find the furniture to be modern, not gaudy and old, and the towels definitely aren't ratty. I'm still trying to figure out some of the gadgets I have in here. This is easily the nicest hotel room I have had in 2 years!

And I don't get your complaints about location. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from Margarita Station, which is near the start of Fields Avenue. I took a leisurely stroll all the way from the hotel through Fields to the end of Walking Street. I see absolutely no reason to be taking a bunch of trikes unless for some reason perhaps somebody has some sort of disability that would prevent them from doing any walking. I was concerned about your post, which suggests that the hotel is not "local". I find any such suggestion to be extremely misleading as in my view, The ABC Hotel is indeed quite "local" to Fields Avenue and Walking Street.

It just amazes sometimes how people can have such different opinions about the exact same things. Well, I guess that's the value of the board isn't it? Sharing information and details and letting the good readers ultimately decide what they are going to do! I know what I'm going to do. I saw a Eurasian-looking tute at Atlantis who needs to have my baby! I'm going to stick my dick inside of that on the bed in my luxurious suite. Yes sir I am!

Dude,

You are in the new wing. He might be in the older section of the hotel.

As for distance, ABC to Margariteville is 263 m, and ABC to the start of walking street is 590 m (1900 feet).

Clarkton Hotel to W. Street is 2. 5 kilometers or 1. 5 miles. I've done that numerous time. The problem is not the distance. The problem is getting completely smashed trying to do a proper barhop.

Enjoy!

Looking for a hotel with two separate bedrooms and a nice seating area, wondered if there are any like that in Angeles? Found a nice one on airbnb after the ABC hotel, just not sure how they'd take it when me and my wingman brought back 4 girls.

1. It's in AC, a recognised sex tourism city, so it's kinda expected you're going to bang hookers there.

2. One of the previous guests has a Filipina chick posing with him in his profile picture. I doubt that's the maid.

3. 2 bed, 2 bath pad, set up for foreigners. What else are they going to do there?

Just book for four people.

My biggest question would be me and my wingman bringing back girls to an airbnb, anyone ever stay here?If you read the comments and the pictures you can see that the place is in Kandi Towers. Any girl you bring back will be amongst all of the other guests and tenants Filipino gfs.

In the immediate area around here it is much quieter than immediately on fields. In the building there is a Korean style convenience store and a coffee shop. 1-2 blocks around 7-11, laundries, car wash, Thai restaurant. 5 minute walk to Fields. The streets around this area are safe to walk all hours.

I've stayed in a few AirBNB in Angeles. For two lads on a holiday this looks like a good value place.

I'll be arriving at Clark in April at zero dark thirty where my lady friend should be waiting. By the time we leave the airport I'm guessing it'll be around 4 am and hopefully transportation to Angeles City won't be a problem at that hour. From reading the last 11 pages, I see that the following hotels are preferred: Orchid Inn, Pacific Breeze, Royal Amsterdam, and Fields Walking Street Hotel. Checked them out at Trip.com and all seem reasonable. Someone mentioned Grand Central Hotel but it's sold out.

For those who've stayed at these hotels, is there a reason NOT to choose any of these? Better recommendations? We just need a comfy place to sleep, fuck and eat for a couple days before heading out.

I think you will leave the airport a lot sooner, probably around 1:30 AM. It's just a small airport.

Transportation won't be a problem I guess but you can arrange a car from the hotel to pick you up just to be sure. Cost will be around 400 PhP.
