I have been to Brazil on a couple of occasions, and I was in Phuket most of the month of February, and it is BEAUTIFUL! I cannot find one negative about the place, from the beaches, to the bars and restaurants, to the girls. It is awesome, but you cannot say the same thing about Pattaya, as the beach itself is passable, but you have to walk out a hundred yards out to find any water above chest high. I was also in Pattaya in February. There is no comparison between the two places. It is like having to choose between filet mignon and a hamburger, or a mercedes benz and a volkswagon beetle. Attached is a couple beach pics from around Phuket so you can see the beauty of them, in case you are into that scene.

Most of the guys posting below I believe are only interested in mongering, but if you like the beaches and ocean, definitely go to Phuket. I highly suggest you read my post #1719 which at this moment is on page 3 of this thread. Things are not that much more expensive than in Pattaya, but there is much more to do during the daytime hours. There is also not much difference in the nightlife, as Walking street and Bangla Rd are filled with an over abundance of go go bars.

It would also be a great benefit to you to pay Jackson his $20.00 dollars for a membership so you can send and receive personal messages. It will be priceless to you in putting your trip together.

Greetings Everyone,

I recently cleaned up this thread by deleting a number of off-topic posts as well as a number responses made by other forum members to these deleted posts.

This cleanup process is not perfect, and it's possible that I may have inadvertently deleted a few otherwise legitimate posts. If you find that your own report was also deleted, please don't take it personally.

A few observations:

First, the purpose of this Forum is to provide for the exchange of information between UrbanWildlife and the rest of the membership on the subject of finding Women for Sex. Let's get back to the subject.

Second, I don't disagree with those of you who know UrbanWildlife personally and believe that his intentions on the forum have been misinterpreted. For all I know, I might find UrbanWildlife to be an agreeable guy myself, but it's irrelevant. The fact is that a lot of people take on a different persona when they get behind a keyboard.

Third, enlisting supporters, feigning innocence and proclaiming injustice, all interspersed with the posting of plausibly credible information, are all strategies of the most advanced Serial Antagonists, and I'm not fooled by any of it.

Fourth, if UrbanWildlife had indeed been misinterpreted and my decision to limit him to specific threads was unfair, etc., I would suggest that the solution is simple: All UrbanWildlife needs to do is abandon his "UrbanWildlife" username and begin posting under one of his many other usernames. If he truly has abandoned his antagonistic behavior, then we'll never know it because his new persona will never be identified as a alias for UrbanWildlife / On the Go / et al.

Yea, right.

Fifth, my guess is that UrbanWildlife / On the Go / et al is having a good laugh at all the commotion he has raised here and for the extra work that he has created for me.

Thanks,

Jackson

WOW!! so many negative comments about Phuket - but am really wondering if those disparaging Phuket has really truly seen and enjoyed all that Phuket has to offer? And not just been around Patong - which admittedly IS a bit of a dive - and which is generally recongnized as being THE arm pit of Phuket!

What about the fabulous beaches all over the island - Kata, Bangtao, Karan, Surin Beach - even those at the Laguna estates where beachside one can get very very nice food and drink etc - there must literally be dozens of fabulous beaches in Phuket

Or the other areas besides Patong -
Old Phuket town - all bustling and with lots of interesting Sino-Portuguese features, some world class restaurants - and of course Entertainment venues which caters to the Locals (who prefers lighter skinned gals and basically more sedate surroundings than the arm-jerking, aggressive and dark skinned Isaan gals of Patong).

Cherntalay - and the Bang Tao/Surin bay area - where most long term expatriate residents live at. Relaxed, up-market dining, shopping etc

Laguna - where the five 4 to 5 Star hotels and the Golf club are located at - pretty close to Honolulu standards - at least world class failities. This enclave actually don't feel at all like the rest of Phuket - its that much higher standards! The same thing applies to the Boat Lagoon and the Royal Phuket Yacht club/the new yacht basin next to it - also world class standards. and howzabout the Chedi and the Amanpuri? Uber deluxe??/ Ya betcha!!

Golf - at the Laguna, Blue Canyon, Mission Hill and a few other GREAT golf courses - enough for overseas visitors to want to come to Phuket if only to play golf.

Views (Sunset/sunrise over Promthep, various beach/cliff side restaurants etc), Dining (some VERY good Thai AND European restaurants in Phuket - and usually NOT around patong!!), Nightlife other than Patong (come on - those LBFM's and their agressive manners around Patong gets old REAL fast!!), temples, waterfalls, scuba diving,.... the list goes on and on. and you'd never even need to even come close to Patong to truly enjoy Phuket. but of course 'THAT PLACE' is also very available and nearby from any points in Phuket.

And NO, don't get on the taxis or jeepneys or the motocyclos - rent a car for cheap!! (as low as THB7 or 800/day) and just explore Phuket.

Whaddya think??

SEAJ

Just a super post SE Asia Joe! No one could have expressed it better, and I agree with you totally. It was great to see someone write such a positive report on this area. As Fifty Fifty pointed out in his excellent post, as well as myself in a post I made in March, there is alot to do and see if one wants to get out and explore a little bit. Attached is a some of pics of girls I met while exploring the wild life on Bangla Rd. with Fifty Fifty and his fabulous Queen from Kazakhstan.

Anyone looking for a taxi driver in Bangkok that has some knowledge of the english language, I highly recommend you contact:
Mr. Chairat
Tel: 086-971-1245, 089-665-3137
+6686-971-1245, +6689-665-3137

He is a super nice guy, very professional, in his late 40's, works days, and has a great knowledge of all the massage parlors, bars/nightclubs, shopping malls, and all the tourist destinations. He is also very affordable. I used him the entire 10 days I was in Bangkok, from about 8am to 8pm. One of the best and most knowledgable taxi drivers and I have crossed paths with in all my travels. He drives a nice Toyota Camray and works in front of the 7/11 on Soi 11 and Sukumvit, just down the street from the Grand President Hotel.

This guy is all class, and really is willing to go out of his way to make your vacation successful and hassle free!
