Apparantly there is a Formula 1 race in Sao Paulo and all of the usual hotels are booked. It took me an hour of calling from the US to find a room for tonight (Blue Tree Towers Convention Center in Moema).
Does anyone know if the busy tourist week is having an effect on the boites? I leave tonight and hope to be neck deep in Brazilian females in 24 hours.

I live in a city North American city (Montreal) where a Formula 1 race is held each year.
I can tell you that this time of the year (habitually in June) is the worst time for a local hobbyist to practice our common hobby. I guess it's the same thing in Sampa.
A Formula 1 race always means this:
1- Increase of the price
2- Unavalibility of hotel rooms
3- Girls decline to see local customers (the wealthy tourists are always easier to con)

The hotels are booked, but the boites were not unusually active. My impression is that Jardins girls are raising their prices for the event, but not elsewhere in Sao Paulo. I went to a boite in Liberdade yesterday night (Eu e Elas) and it was nearly empty. The boite is pretty nice, not too expensive, but it ain't Millenium or Bomboa in its heyday. I watched a couple of Japanese tourists get uncovered blow jobs from the prettiest girl in the place in the open room, but did not have the nerve to do my lady in public. So, the Formula One is an inconvenience but not a terrible thing. Surferr- if you need to see people crash and burn, just turn on your TV!!!! Alternatively, make reservations at your boutique hotel next year and I will join you.

Unless you have a pit pass and can get up close, the race is actually pretty boring. I went a few years ago, and after fighting the crowds and traffic, we left after about an hour of watching colored blurs going round and round in front of us. If I were able to get in the pits, it would have made it quite interesting.

Hi all. I'll be arriving here late Wednesday night after a long trip from New Zealand and 4 months of mongering and scuba diving around Asia and the Pacific. Thanks to all who have posted info here that points me in the right direction. Arrived late Wednesday night. There were no other flights at the same time so immigration and customs were a breeze. Also there was no fingerprinting or takng my photo like expected. Maybe this only happens in Rio?
I arrived without a hotel reservation. The places often mentioned here were full on all the online sites. There is a tourist information counter in the arrivals hall that will call hotels for reservations for you. My first choices were still booked, maybe the F1 crowd is still in town. The people at this counter were very friendly and helpful, and they eventually found a place called the Hotel Moncloa, on Rua Augusta.
They also convinced me to take the bus, as they said it will stop right in front of the hotel for me. It ended up being a good choice, since it only stopped once before my place. So it was almost as fast as a taxi. It cost 24 reais, less than a third of what I hear the taxi price is.
The hotel is adequate. Spacious aircon room, hot water with pressure. It has a bidet which is nice since I got accustomed to having one in the Middle East. The place cost 89 reais a night with a pretty good breakfast included. Female guests are allowed but you have to pay 20 extra for it.
By the time I got refreshed and unpacked it was almost midnight. I was a bit wary of charging off into an unknown city after over 20 hours of traveling and a 16 hour time difference from Auckland where I started. I decided I could just have a look around the neighborhood.
The area around Hotel Moncloa has a fair number of mongering bars, some of which may have been mentioned here. They also may have mentioned that they aren´t the high end kind of places. But still I found the quality to be pretty good. I just went to the place next door to the right after walking out the door, the name of which escapes me at the moment.
When I walked in I immediately saw several women I liked, one of which came right over and sat with me. Her name is Kadena (sp?) and she said she came from Manaus. She´s fair-skinned with a nice Brazilian body, voluptuous and with a generous ass. She´s a smiley, playful one and I knew she would be a good choice to get my Brazil visit started. Dear fellow mongers/contributors:
After a though period of cancer and chemo therapy I will be back to full health during the beginning of February. I plan to make a trip to Sao Paulo/Rio de Janeiro after this for a big party / celebration of my recovery.
Februray is not a good month for monogering in Brazil because of carneval, so I thought about going around the end of March both to be sure that the last of the chemicals are finally out of my body and because the garotas will probably be bacl from their carneval vacations then.

Great board, guys! I just joined after years of posting on other boards and am finding a wealth of new information on many locales thanks to all of you. I've been to HKG, SIN, SHA, SZX, BKK, MNL, BOM, FRA, RIO and SAO. I know PI the best and my experience at FRA is very recent if anyone wants to PM me with questions and I'll be sure to post my future adventures here in the appropropriate forums.
I was in SAO in July and will be back 4-Nov through 12-Nov (business and pleasure). First, I know Saturdays can be dead at the GDP bars and I plan to find a non-pro or semi-pro nightclub or two to try first and, if no success, will hit a GDP bar. Any suggestions on such nightclubs? The beauty of SP over Rio is that non-pros seemed to be more receptive, especially if you have a bit of game and can communicate. I'll be staying in the business district (Chacara Santo Antonio).
Second, any recommendations for Sunday afternoon and night action, which I know can be really slow or non-existent? Perhaps a clinica? Just in case I don't meet a keeper on Saturday night.
If anyone cares to hook up for a beer or two, I'm a damn good wingman. Let me know.

I just left Sao Paulo after a short three day stay. On this trip I decided to try the clubs in the afternoon, taking cabs before the evening rush hour. My first club was Eu & Elas in Aclimação, and I arrived there around 16:00 last Thursday afternoon. This day was a holiday in Brazil, but Eu & Elas was open. The cab driver knew the way without problems and the fare was about R$20.00 from my (Mercure Jardins) Hotel. Much has been written about Eu & Elas, and I will try not to be too repetitive. It is a very relaxed place. When I arrived it was pouring rain, and the power had failed at the place. No problem. Candles were lit and it was business as usual. I was handed a key, but given no guidance. Since I speak no Portuguese, I was a little disoriented, but an English speaking customer came to my rescue. He showed me all around the house and helped me find my locker so I could get changed (by flashlight). As oft stated, this place is the closest thing to a terma that you will find in Sao Paulo (as far as I know). However, it is much less rigid in terms of rules, and you negotiate the price with your lady. (My English speaking mentor advised me not to offer more than R$100.00 to a girl.) The facilities are MUCH more public than the Rio termas I have visited. You can walk into the ladies locker room and nobody even notices. The showers are public and used by both the girls and the customers. There is a small porn theater where you can make out with your lady at no charge. There is a public sex room where you can do it without paying any room fee. I love this place. After an hour, the power came back on. Based on all the reports on this Terma in Sao Paulo, went Monday nite to this place. First called to confirm they were open, as it was an official holiday in SP. As long as you are arriving Monday through Saturday this link would work. It is in Guarulhos so you do not have to battle the traffic in and out of the city from the airport. I have been to SP (or Sampa as others, probably more in the know, call it) many times, yet I had never taken the time to read the forum completely and go out. I even once stayed at the old Hilton because it is near Rua Augusta and at the last minute chickened out and returned to my room after becoming concerned about the safety of the area. Any way I finally did RTF as I should have and started at Cafe Millenium at 11PM. The ride from the Hyatt was very long and the taxi meter showed R47 when we got there. It is possible we did not take a direct way, I don't know.

Take your choice of ANY of the clinica's in SP. After clearing customs and getting your baggage you will have no problems hailing a taxi (with traffic) and spending a few hours getting a massage, date, and meal if you prefer.
You will have no problem getting a taxi back to the airport (with traffic) and getting to the curb with 2 hours to spare.
Find the clinica that appeals to you in the previous posts and head there.
