I've been on a QQ binge these past few weeks and after about 10 trials, I can honestly say that NONE of the girls look like their pictures. The service is exactly the same as a BBS. Only nice thing is that rooms are usually better. Pricing is the same too. At least in a BBS u can choose the girl.

Now, allow me to make a suggestion to experienced members as well: in case questions are not made in a proper way or show newbies have not RTFF, please avoid bashing them, just ignore their requests and save YOUR time.

I believe that OUR time can be used in a more profitable way.

I asked Jackson many many moons ago to implement a "sticky post" feature, allowing for the posting of a FAQ at the top of the forum. When I wrote post 4772 (or whatever number it is now, it seems to change), I had that in mind. At the time I wrote it I asked Jackson to make it "sticky".

He didn't respond to that request at all. Instead, eventually he created the RoD section, but then his minions nominate every long post by a newbie, regardless of veracity (I know for a fact that at least one post in the RoD is *absolute* BS/fiction - I hereby challenge the forum to find it... :-) ). I think the RoD section is thus useless to newbies, and we would be much better served with one, or maybe a couple, of FAQ sticky posts, owned by a senior member of long standing reputation, to help the newbies get oriented.

Here is how he could do it, without changing his software: Just create a new thread in China, named <cityname>-Frequently Asked Questions, (eg, SHANGHAI-Frequently Asked Questions), once petitioned by senior forum members with local experience in that city. Those members can coordinate the creation of a FAQ post, and keep it current. For Shanghai, 4772 would be a perfectly reasonable starting point, and there is a ton of additional information that could be added. I lost interest in updating it because it so rapidly got buried.

How do places like the SH, Waves, Spa at 209 Wulumuqi RD etc find their girls? Adverts in papers or what? How about the BBS in Kanding Lu? Just seems odd how the BBS in one area all seem to have great looking girls whilst others do not.

There is a on-going excerise in China since June 2004 on cleanup of the Major Cities especially those with International Airport facilities. It is not only meant for the Olympics but also due to other World organizations like WTO, BSA, WHO, etc.... Only starting 2007 did the action gets a little more agressive.

You should know why is that so...there are less money going into someone's pockets.

Wuzhong Lu in Hongqiao Area is a street well known for Saunas and BBS. Taking a drive down Wuzhong one day (Dam street is long!) It should also be noted that wikis are absolutely ideal for the type of information that we are trying to store and access. Take a look at http://wikitravel.org for pretty much exactly what I am talking about.

If you have blocking problems, I suggest you look into using tor (see http://tor.eff.org/download.html.en). Rather than using an anonymous proxy, tor creates an entire anonymous network which the Chinese can't possibly block without rendering all extra-China internet traffic effectively useless (which'd be too big of a trade hit for even them to consider).

Firefox and torbutton is probably the easiest way to set it up and use it properly.

What's the smallest KTV room usually made for accomodation? 6 people?

I'm going to SH/BJ with a friend, along with hanging out with an expat college friend on the weekends so that's 3 of us althogh most of the time it's just 2 of us. And I do have a couple more friends in SH that might want to go out but they don't make American salaries (they make taiwanese salaries which I'm pretty surprised since one is a director and makes what I made in US as an entry level engineer!) so I'm not sure how much they'd be down for.

Basically I want to know if I can fill up a small room. Wasn't able to find info searching, any info would be very appreciated. thanks

Dude, I'm well aware of wikis, and of the issues regarding blocking and solutions, as probably are most folks here. (Perhaps you'd be surprised at how many of us work in tech.) Sorry, I misunderstood your previous post, I thought you were suggesting that we create an actual wikipedia entry, which I think would be a bit silly.

I'm merely suggesting that information related to an ISG forum be maintained within the context of the ISG, for Jackson's sake. If you want to create a new, non-ISG forum, and use a wiki, go knock yourself out. I'll probably even contribute. But because I've personally gotten so much value out of Jackson's site, I prefer to continue supporting him, not luring folks to some other entity. If Jackson were to integrate a wiki into his forums, that would be fine too. But frankly, it would be trivial for him to just create a topic dedicated to a FAQ, with no other entries, without doing any additional work on the back end.

I've partied with only one other friend, and been provided a reasonably small room. Keep in mind that in addition to you and your buddy, you'll have (at least) two ladies, and probably also a hostess running the KTV machine and pouring drinks. So that's five people right there.

Most KTVs will have smaller rooms to accomodate 2-3 patrons comfortably.

Just a reminder:

At the Pub the standard price is 300 for BBBJ and 400 for FS, 600 for take out or outcalls, DO NOT pay more. If you are not a regular they may ask you to pay 20RMB for the first beer.

I have heard a lot of negatives, such as flight delays, poor fleet of planes, bad service, etc. Of course, like they say, you get what you pay for.

I figure, it always pays to ask. Any first hand reviews would be nice. Nothing turns up on the search. I have seen some other web reviews.

I have had misfortune of flying AI on BKK-BOM route a number of time. Planes were old, dirty and delays were common. Customer service is poor. I learned my lesson. Pay a little more and fly in comfort even if it is in the back of the bus.

To simulate a Brazilian experience, I ate at the Brazilian restaurant in Raffles Center called "Be Nice Brazil" or some such. Not bad. The meat is pretty close but it doesn't come around nearly often enough.

I have been reading this forum for quite a long time. Last week I decided to join and made a couple of posts on Vietnam and HK.

To give some background about myself I spend a lot of time in South East Asia on business and have travelled frequently to Shanghai.

I am not sure if you call me a nwbie or not as I did RTFF and visited Wisdom Spring, Ji Yuan and Waves on my previous trips as well as some of the bars in Hengshan Lu.

To give some background about myself I spend a lot of time in South East Asia on business and have travelled frequently to Shanghai.

I am not sure if you call me a nwbie or not as I did RTFF and visited Wisdom Spring, Ji Yuan and Waves on my previous trips as well as some of the bars in Hengshan Lu.
I hope I dont get blasted here for asking this but I was really hoping to hook up with some fellow mongers in Shanghai ( gang ? ) next time I am there and goto some of the KTV's. Because I am on business I am generally alone and therefore havent had a chance to go to a KTV !

Afterwards I decided to simulate a terma and check out the Ji Yuan Hui Suo soapy. From the non descript exterior I wasn't sure what to expect, but .....

We procure our provisions, but then must add all of the other elements of a satisfying experience. I would put forth then, that the saunas of Shanghai are the buffets with prime rib carving stations. For a small effort you can saunter over and get a healthy serving of the dish with the recipe and the preparation already decided for you. And you also have the accoutrements; all the fix’ns if you will. Instead of mashed potatoes and steamed veggies, I mean exfoliate treatments, hot soaking pools, and even a pedicure on the side. In a good buffet, the carving station is the focal point of the experience.

I had one day to layover on my way towards home. Why not stay at the Shanghai Hotel to further increase the conveniences? For 598 RMB booked by phone directly the day of arrival, I would call the hotel itself a reasonable choice. The location is very desirable with many bars, restaurants, and local color within a short walk. The downside would be that the 145 RMB ride from PVG is a long trip for a one-night stand.

I went to the spa early at around 5PM. And as this was my last night in China, I took the whole experience leisurely. The spa facility itself is not the sharpest or most elegant that I have seen in China, but it has all of the basic elements one would expect. I shower and soak in the hot pool. I get occupancy on the one “Jacuzzi” jet seat in the pool. Then the exfoliate attendant is ready and with a snap-crack of his rough towel, does his thing. On occasion, I get one of these towel technicians who insist on showing me the rolled up grime that he has removed from my body. I hate this, thoroughly. Yes, I am a dirty, grimy SOB. I get it. That is why I am on this table letting a man dressed only in his shorts touch me. Sheesh!

I move into the lounge and drink two sips of tea, which is as much as I can stomach since it is made with the funky tasting Shanghai tap water. Boil everything. Then boil it again. Then pour it down the drain. I even go with the manicure and pedicure but was disappointed that the manicurist was male. That’s women’s work! Perhaps I’ll write a letter to management.

I finally made my way to the line up. I took some time trying to decide between # 61 and # 30. Both had faces that I wanted to look at as a backdrop to the hairs on my belly. I decided to go light and at no more than 90lbs, #61 won the job.

I wonder if some men enjoy being in the room with 12 or so girls to make a selection. I find it uncomfortable. The girls at the SHH spa must be directed not to make too much eye contact. This can appear to be a sign of reluctance. But from my experience, I know that it is not. I have never let the girls’ appearance of lack of interest influence me and I have never been disappointed. The exception to my uncomfortable-ness of being in front of a line up is in Manila City, PI in some places that have 50 girls arranged in stadium –like seating. They can also be very vocal and in the right frame of mind, I can imagine myself as a highly desired performer taking praise from an adoring crowd. And in fact, in that situation, that is exactly what I am. No time to be uncomfortable when you owe it to your loyal fans. It is truly surreal.

The girl, upon being selected responds with a sweet “she-she-a” which I believe must be also mandated by the management. I think that was the only word that #61 said to me that I understood and it was said in the same sweet Chinese girl tone and vocal lilt as was her mouth-vibrating moans would be later in the session. I think that the tonality of the voice of a young Chinese woman is one of the characteristics that endear her to so many of us western types. It can be such a contrast to the sometimes guttural noises that some western women make. This occurs to me now as I type this on the airplane. Moments ago, I overheard the American hag in the airplane seat next to me grunt to the flight attendant that her coffee was “too watery” and “Now I want diet Coke!”. And to top it off, (I can’t make this stuff up.) she demands “Is the ice from China!? I DON’T WANT THAAAAAT!”. Another "Sheesh!" is in order.

I do not think I need to expound on all of the details of the session with #61 although I am now recalling the sensations of the softness and smoothness of her legs as they were intertwine with mine as she tongued my entire back. I could have done without the ice cube in the anus bit but at least she had the decency to put it there with her mouth. After all matters were addressed and with 10 minutes remaining in the hour, she did a nice job with some muscle massaging. I did try to get up to leave about 3 minutes before time and she stopped me with urgent looks and hand gestures that I took to mean that we must leave together. Kudos to the management of the SHH Spa. They seem to run quite a tight ship.

i did go out to walk about the area around the shanghai hotel after my spa session. i went from bar to bar drinking a shot or three. in one bar, i spoke to a girl who took an interest in me. it turn out that she is a "talking girl" along with three coworkers at this small pub. i told her that i was looking for a "hotel girl" not a "talking girl". she replied that she was a "good girl" but offered to make some calls to bring some girls to the bar.

after several bars and some really good food from a restaurant that i also wish i had the recorded location of, i found my pocket notes from the isg describing the yo ji hua sauna at 209 urumuqi. it was 1:30am when i reached it. i was all johnny walker’erd up and really had no business going anywhere except back to my room. but i addressed the doorman outside of the spa and he took me up to the 5th floor. the receptionist told me that they were closing at 2:00 and that i would have to pay up front. but, she assured me that the girl would not leave early and would stay until the session was through. because of the report on isg, i was comfortable that this was a place that i could take a chance on. i paid 700 rmb and was taken to a lineup, which stood behind one-way glass. i saw a very decent selection of about 16 girls, incredibly in the form of 8 sets of twins! i did have a few drinks. looking, i did not feel that i could go wrong. i chose tall and slender, made a mental note of her number for the purpose of this reporting and was shown to the private room. unfortunately, the mental note became doused, stained, and intelligible by the scotch sloshing around in my brain and was discarded.

i would repeat. i think this is a good, honest operation, overall, with a quality facility and staff.

i walked the short distance back to the shanghai hotel on udon noodles for legs. i was spent.

I went to the Ji Yuan Hui Suo soapy again last night. Someone asked what the address is. It's at the corner of Jiaozhou and Chingping. I made a point to look at the number but the soapy washed my mind. It was 864 or 664 I think.

What a night and day experience between this time and last. I think the change in routine threw me. The first time I was just sent to a big waiting room with my street clothes. This time they directed me to a locker room to switch to PJs. Fearing I was not getting the soapy, but some other service. I had a incomprehensible conversation with the guy working there. He then directed me to the line up room skipping the locker. Sadly #98 was not be found so I choose #83. She walked me right behind the lineup room to a really small room. My previous room was about 4 times larger. The service was OK but not nearly as good as #98. I'll sum it all up as rushed. Following a question posted by a newbie a couple of days ago, I decided to scout around Regent Hotel the other day.

Same thing here. Try the bars, especially Bar Rouge and Attica, on the Bund, in walking distance from the Westin, many Working Girls there, or try the Sauna in the Hengshen Peninsula Hotel, 1o minutes away by taxi.

The Bund is famous tourist area. In any tourist area throughout the world there will be people looking for opportunity to rip the tourist off. As a traveler, you should wary of strangers who would approach you to sell or solicit for business. Sometimes what it seems like a good deal may be just as well turn out to be a con job.

It had been mentioned many times before on the Shanghai thread where girls approach you to ask you to bring them for some tea or coffee at a nearby café and it turn out to be an expansive drink which may cost US$1000. Although the authority had been cleaning up these operations but news ones will start faster the clean up.

Touts are everywhere in China, especially in a tourist condense areas and cities like Shanghai. The road famous for touts and con job activities in Shanghai near the Bund / Westin is Nanjing East Road (Nanjingdong Lu). So be very careful when you are scouting around that area.

CheersDude - If you have read the forum, you would know that there are not a whole lot of addresses here. There are instead great directions for landmarks and street crossings. That is about as good as you are going to get.

There is a big blue line above this post. At the far right of that blue line is a drop down box that says "Search this forum". Click that and enter the name of the Spa/ Soapie/ KTV/ Area that you want to go. Chances are pretty high there is NOT an address, but there will be some damn good directions on how to find the place.

I guess have been a "lurker" for some time now. I posted once soon after joining and got flamed a bit and it drove me into hiding. I have frequented many of the places mentioned on the forum with great results, but adding another repetitive sauna experience report (yawn) didn't feel like I was adding anything to the community.

Made my second trip to the Ba Dong Sauna yesterday. My first trip was a couple of months ago, and resulted in a really nice GFE with number 96. I learned a couple of things during my second visit that I thought were worth sharing.

Ba Dong Sauna is immediately adjacent to the Marriott Courtyard Hotel at the corner of Weifang Lu and Dong Feng Lu, on the Dong Feng Lu side. You can enter from Dong Feng Lu or through the Marriott Courtyard lobby. Go up the escalator a couple of floors past some restaurants and it will deposit you in front of a big sign. Just turn to your right and you are there. The drill is pretty standard with the first slight twist. After showering and changing into your pj's the attendant escorts you into a semi-private room with three chairs, tv, etc. And soon after the mamasan enters. Rather than the standard fixed price for services, she is selling two or three different levels of service, getting slightly more expensive and kinkier as you move up the product line. This gives you the chance to do a little bargaining, which hasn’t been the norm in my sauna experience. Her English is limited and so is my Chinese but we managed. She has pretty good "Sex English". My first visit ended up at 750RMB for platinum kinky, and as I said I wasn't disappointed. This time around I asked for number 96 again and I was greatly disappointed to find out that she had gone back home and wouldn't be returning for a couple of months. I told the Mamasan (semi-honestly) that I was disappointed and would be leaving. Of course she put the hard sell on and promised anything and everything. I finally relented and we settled on 600RMB to sooth my disappointment, and she promised to bring in three of her best girls for my review. By the way, this was the middle of the afternoon, so not the peak hour.

She brought in the three girls, and I must say she did not disappoint. All three were 7+, and I ended up choosing a tall stunner from Chongqing. I would rate her at least an 8. Very pretty face, slim, with the biggest natural rack I have ever seen in China. Very nice. She escorted me to the room and the fun began. Her English was not too bad from a sauna girl perspective, and we hit it off very well during the session. Began with a nice massage session, culminating in a very pleasant round of AR. All in all, a nice couple of hours on a Sunday afternoon.

Arrived on Monday first impressions, amazing place.
I had written down the number of the ji Yuan so I jumped in a taxi called them up and gave the phone to the driver, job done. Five minutes and 11 thingy me bobs later the taxi stops and he points across a very busy road. I crossed over and then realised I had fucked up, I hadn't written down the house number. However one of the doors looked promising so I went up, stuck my head in only to be told it was only for Japanese, full of babes though. I couldnt see anywhere else so I assumed the driver had stitched me up, got another cab further down the street same routine, 11rmb and three minutes later I am back outside the same door. A bit of scouting around and I finally arrived at the place.
Once inside it looked okay but I felta bit rushed throught to the relaxing area. The attendant brought me a coke, no beer, what kind of an establishment is this? I told him I was here for a massage somebody else came and took me through some locked door and led me to my room, complete with red rope bed that I recognised off someones post. Two minutes later he turns up with three girls 6 or 7's at most, and that was in the dark. None of them could do the rope, I was gutted. No others available.
I chose the best looking one and we got down to buisness, body massage, tit massage, tongue massage ( including the rimming), bbbj and a fuck. It was all very nice but it lacked a certain spark all a bit too programmed and clincal.

Are you sure the one you went to is Ji Yuan? As far as I know, Ji Yuan is a soapland type sauna, so no red rope facility is available.

Basically, they just wash you up with their NAKED body, then the full deed. And from what you said, I would say that you visited the wrong premises.

Also, in Ji Yuan, they will ask you to go to a room to choose the WG and not bringing 3 WGs to your room.

To aid you in your next visit to JiYuan, you should probably write down the mandarin of JiYuan which is 吉原会所 located on intersection of 胶州路 JiaoZhou Lu and 昌平路 ChangPing Lu. The business board sign is grey with black writings if I am not mistaken as well as there should be 2 attendants waiting by valetlike booth. The place is quite discrete. So you would probably need to match the mandarin words by words.

Your best bet is the sauna at the shanghai hotel. It's been covered many times here. No real language skills necessary. Pricey compared to the bbs but quality and service is consistent. I would suggest you bypass the body scrub the first time.

Let me tell you that for a non-Chinese speaker it is not embrassing at all to enter a BBS and explain what you look for. On the contrary it is always very funny experience, due to hands/face language used.

AM gave an accurate report on Yu Ping but I was a wondering if anyone with prior mongering experience can compare it to 2 years ago. I zipped on over there recently and was disappointed at the service. The hotel is under renovation which may explain the downfall of the sauna due to lack of customers. As to the price question raised earlier, I think the price is the same as before because the sign with the prices is the same as before, 700RMB. You could reduce it to 650RMB by asking for a discount. I've only gone in the evening so possibly there is a daytime discount as mentioned earlier.

The first thing I noticed is lack of customers for saturday night. There were a good selection of girls AND there was supposedly a Filipina there who speaks english! I didn't partake since she wasn't as hot lookin and slightly older but still not bad.

Now for the downers. I thought it might be a bad sign (that biz was slow) when they kept wanting me to take 2 girls. I picked a hot looking girl that was very slim but with nice B/C cups. Yes I know that the hot looking ones usually provide bad service but usually Yu Ping service is reliable. Oh also the girls are now in a small room with you looking through a window with a partially blocked view. I preferred when I entered a room with the all girls standing in front of me.

The service was good but very rushed. She couldn't quite do the red rope trick properly. Also she kept wanting me to sleep instead of finishing the hour with a massage. I recognized the manager from previous times and even he wasn't as service oriented as before. They really seemed to rush me through the sauna TV room and out even though there was few customers there.

Maybe just one bad Yu Ping experience but I was thinking of foregoing Yu Ping next time and trying the Zhongtian Sauna Club just N of the Hongqiao Sheraton and a couple blocks S of Yuping. Anyone with any field reports from there? Oh yea there are a bunch of Japanese Clubs around that area and I saw a gorgeous Chinese (I think Chinese) girl leaving with 2 young japanese guys. OMFG she was tall, thin, dressed to kill, spoke japanese, but was giggling and talking like one of those fake schoolgirls. Still I would overlooked that flaw.

i guess i should have known better but fell for it anyways. called vip and asked for one girl, and she is not available with the excuse it is 6 pm saturday so i ask for another with same results, third and sos. mamasan then offers anita and i agree. i minimize the page and continue reading isg reports.

Following one of my friends’ recommendation, this time I lived in the hotel called “ Wugong Hotel Shanghai." It is a three-star hotel. The location is very good at the center of the city. It is not far away from the Bund, The People Square and baby face. The price is reasonable for the rooms they offer. Three kinds of rooms: STD 350 RMB, STD A 400 RMB, and Luxury 480RMB. Breafast is included. I lived in STD A the first night and the Luxury second night. The different between two of those is the latter has better furniture, desktop computer and bathroom. Between the bedroom and bathroom there is only a piece of glass, so you can see the girl showering. It is kind of interesting. But both size of the rooms are the same.

More important is it is a girl- friendly hotel. In side the hotel they offer massage service. The regular massage is for 116 RMB with no sex on the menu. But once you in the room, they will ask you if you want full service for 600 RMB. They just bring you the girls one by one. They may not have a lot of girls. The first night I just tried their regular massage ervice. I had a very nice girl from Hunai, good body but ok face. Ok massage but she give me a GFE feeling. So the next day I called her to my room and asked for full service. Because of time limit (45 Min), we did not do all different positions but had a lot of kiss and she looked like very enjoying the sex. Shanghai hotel is GF friendly and allow you to take your girl in. However please do bring girls that are presentable and not those that dress like a total S LUT! Even in the case, they will ask you to register your guest at the security conuter before letting you enter the elevators.

You may also try other hotels like Howard Johnsons on Yanan Lu, Jin An hotel on Huashan Lu are a nice hotels at around the same price and same area as Shanghai hotel.

They are all GF friendly.

Oops...I missed that part.

However, the Shanghai gang had encounter similar experience before. Some are very mild there they basically wipe your dick so many times with the "Disinfectant Wipes" before putting on the condoms, while the worst are that our foreigner White guys were rejected at the door steps.

Agreed that language plays a part too but I think a lot depends on the shop on whether they are in a location where they experience a lot of foreigner walking into their shops.

Okay... Let's start:

This establishment is located at 逸仙路 in HongKou Yangpu border which is located just after a big restaurant and just the opposite of Guang Dong Hotel. Name of the Sauna is Century Sauna Club / 世纪桑拿会所。　

The Sauna itself is located in 3rd and 4th floor, so you will have to take a lift to get there.

I went into to 4th floor establishment. First impression when the sauna doors open is the plushest sauna lobby I had ever been to. As soon as I saw the uniform the gals had there (was sexy qipao), I knew I went into the right place. Was then directed to a resting room like the ones in waves, only 1.5 times bigger equipped with a cupboard to lock your belongings inside. The cupboard in question is equipped with 2 locks of which one you hold onto. The room then would be at your personal use (not shared) throughout the session.

Next, I head through the back door to have the usual shower (again, shower place seems plusher than waves and SH hotel), given a pijamas to wear.

After returned to my room, a gorgeous lady went in and offered to pick your ear. She told me that this sauna is quite popular in SH (amongst locals apparently) and that the place is amongst the most expensive sauna in SH.

Ear picking done. Mind is filled with enthusiasm of what to follow. Was told later that the massage girl selection is one by one. Meaning, you are to go to a massage room, then a girl will come and if you think she is okay, then fine, if not, then she would be replaced by another one.

Okay, the first one I got had a nice face, white skin, softttt skin, C cup, nice to talk to.

BUT:

- BBBJ is covered using plastics, dunno if this is SOP.

Before coming to conclusion, there is more to add to my observation of the sauna.

I found out that the 3rd floor establishment is 300yuan more expensive on the room charge only. However, was told that the room is a big room and had massage place, resting room and shower room all in one room, thus, saving you from having to run back and forth.

Also, on the cost side, they seemed to have VIP card which had a big discounts on rooms and services but NOT on massage fee and tips.

Gold card - 25% discounts

Platinum card - 35% discounts

Running my calculation on several scenarios, I would say that the net savings you will make on Gold card is around 12%-16% each session being the bigger your expenditure, the bigger your savings.

To close off, I seemed to notice that this sauna is more catered to people and business partners who wanted to gather and relax together with lots of talking between and after the massage session and making use of the plushest room. Think of it as a lounge cum sauna.

This opinion of mine is actually true when you consider that the place is very plush and big, privacy is virtually guaranteed since you even undress in a private room, and that the food selection is abundant and tasty (Iam a food lover and do not give this recommendation anywhere).

So I'm back in the USA Now and I thought I'the let ya'll know how my few days in Shanghai went. I stayed at the Wugong hotel which ended up being pretty nice at 400 RMB/night. i’m gonna talk about two sauna/soapland establishments in lu wan（卢湾） district since this area is somehow less mentioned here. actually, there are a lot of sauna places rep001tered around this district, but the two i’m going to talk about are most familiar to me.

okay, the first one is buo duo hui suo（博多会所）. it’s located at xie tu lu（斜土路）near lu ban lu（鲁班路）/n-s elevated road. i don’t know the exact address but it’s in the same building of a big century mart （世纪联华）supermarket hence won’t be hard to find. plus , you can take a look at the street view thru the following link (it’s just a snapshot, not a live feed, but good enough):

once walked in, you can take a designated elevator to 4th floor directly. you’ll be guided to a resting room by a waiter and you change into pajamas in that room. then you’ll be taken to a lineup of ten to twenty chicks standing inside a “fishbowl” room which has a one way mirror in front of it. this means you can see the girl but they can’t see you. this kinda became standard in sauna places recently but it was astonishing the first time i saw it. after you’ve chosen your girl, she will come out and meet you and take you to a big room where the real deal happens.

the place started off as a copy cat of the infamous ji yuan hui suo last year. rumor has it that the management team and even some girls there are former employees of ji yuan. the room layout is same as ji yuan’s with a wet area for showering and dry area where the massage bed is placed.

the routine is also almost the same:

compare to ji yuan, the pros are better/newer interior decorations, bigger rooms and less crowd. the cons would be 20 rmb more expensive than ji yuan(rmb 780) and the average level girls are lower than ji yuan. in ji yuan you can easily get an above 8 but in buo duo you need to find an 8 out. however, i still consider buo duo a good place and worth going back.

my recent visit to buo duo was last month and it turns out buo duo has added some new flavor into their services which is intriguing.

Before coming to conclusion, there is more to add to my observation of the sauna.

I found out that the 3rd floor establishment is 300yuan more expensive on the room charge only. However, was told that the room is a big room and had massage place, resting room and shower room all in one room, thus, saving you from having to run back and forth.

Also, on the cost side, they seemed to have VIP card which had a big discounts on rooms and services but NOT on massage fee and tips.

Gold card - 25% discounts

Platinum card - 35% discounts

Running my calculation on several scenarios, I would say that the net savings you will make on Gold card is around 12%-16% each session being the bigger your expenditure, the bigger your savings.

To close off, I seemed to notice that this sauna is more catered to people and business partners who wanted to gather and relax together with lots of talking between and after the massage session and making use of the plushest room. Think of it as a lounge cum sauna.

This opinion of mine is actually true when you consider that the place is very plush and big, privacy is virtually guaranteed since you even undress in a private room, and that the food selection is abundant and tasty (Iam a food lover and do not give this recommendation anywhere).

The first thing I learnt when I arrived to start my business in China:

All business negotiations (if any under table money is involved) have to be done in a Sauna. Why? BTW: Hongkou District is one of the Sub-urbs District of Shanghai, I don't really think you want to stay there.... the also explain the cheaper price of the hotel.

She told me that they are fined if they don't get 10 requests per month. She told me this a while back, and I think the fine was 1000RMB (may have been 500 though). Also, they are fined 500RMB if more than 2 customers per month leave before time is up. Does not matter if the customer is completely satisfied and has to catch a plane or not, 2 customers and the fine comes down. Apparently 1 of the desk managers was getting a little extra from the girls on the side and this rule was ignored somewhat. He has since been let go and this rule strictly enforced now. Update on SH sauna: I called the premise just now and they said that it would be closed until the end of the month to the beginning of next month.

In Shanghai, I don't negotiate, if they name me a ridiculous price, I just walk away telling them not to treat me like an idiot! If they name me a price near to market price, I will just tell them the market price, take it or leave it.

On the part of TRL girls been not GFE, I don’t agree; but frankly, most of the TRL girls that I had are freebies. Freebies are the most GFE girls on my choice. the entrance of the parking lot is at the east wing of the plaza. they’ll give you a ticket when entering the underground parking lot and the sauna place can validate the ticket for you when checking out.

the sauna establishment is called tompson（汤姆生）located on the 4th floor in the building. if you park your car in the basement, just remember to park it in b1 coz there’s no direct elevator to 4th floor on b2, you’ll need to walk up to b1 for the elevator if you parked your car in b2.

Well, I went back to my favourite spa last night Jia Yi Hua Sauna at 209 Urumqi Lu (5th floor, the lift only goes there). See previous posts including my own for more details. I wouldn't normally post on a repeat visit except that again it has come up trumps!

Took a little extra walking to find out how to enter the establishment, although their neon sign board is huge and shiny. Rode the escalators to the 4th floor, and was greeted by a gentleman.

Standard procedure, was taken to locker room where I was assisted by a young lad to be undressed, and then another led me to the shower area. Well it's a little tricky to find. Just remeber not to enter the gate of that supermarket. There's a smaller entrance on east side of the building(right-hand side if you faces the building) with sign of the sauna's name “博多会所” above it. Take that entrance and take the elevator on your left hand side, that's the designated elevator to the establishment. It can only take you to the 4th floor from ground or basement , so there's no button for 2nd and 3rd floor in the elevator. You can always ask the guard/bellboy at the entrance and they'll be happy to take you to the right elevator, just ask for "Buo Duo".

There are two more thing I'd like to report about my recent visit there.

1. They will adjust the session time from 90 min to 70 min if it is a rush hour, even in the middle of your session. The indication to the girls would be the background music. If the music changed from soft slow ones to uptempo ones, you'll probably get 20 minutes less than usual. I wasn't aware of that and took my time during the first shot. After that, the girl told me it was it and I was really pissed.

2. The stockings costume isn't just stockings. You got into the wrong elevator. The gaming arcade is right next door on the 4th floor. Go back down to the 1st floor and take the other elevator up to the 4th floor again. That one leads to Boduo.

Also, make sure you go there after 12:30PM when Boduo opens.

The entrance of the parking lot is at the east wing of the plaza. They’ll give you a ticket when entering the underground parking lot and the sauna place can validate the ticket for you when checking out.

The sauna establishment is called Tompson（汤姆生）located on the 4th floor in the building. If you park your car in the basement, just remember to park it in B1 coz there’s no direct elevator to 4th floor on B2, you’ll need to walk up to B1 for the elevator if you parked your car in B2.

I concur with what BBB mentioned : Avoid Sofitel Nyland. Radisson is a pretty new hotel. Personally, I would go for JC Mandarin among the three.

None of these hotels are within walking distance to BBS and Sauna, but they are not far away, you still need to take a cab.

I just arrive in Shanghai and can't wait to explore the BBS scene.
I stay at a hotel in Xujiahui area. The Xiaomuciao road has 6 or 7 BBS with girls in explicit dress. I tried the one near Xietu road with a girl from Hunan.

I believe Aojin was closed for a while and re-opened about a couple of months ago.

on the hotels, jc mandarin is near all that you need as mentioned by albert punter. trl and xtd for fl's.
you are also within walking distance of the shanghai sauna and the pub which shall remain nameless. there are also various bbs rep001tered about the area. get out and start walking around the outlying neighborhood and you will find the bbs. there is one about a five minute walk away on beijing lu.
the jc is a pretty nice hotel and also girl friendly. if your budget permits, you can check out the rich garden nightclub downstairs. it is pricey but they definitely have available talent to help you through the night if needed.

Xiaomuciao is parallel to Damuciao lu. The one I went is about 600m from
the Damuciao metro station of line 4. Get a local map and you will find the junction of Xiaomuciao and Xietu lu.

Turn left and walk 100 to 150 meters or so, along the way, you can see All-Days on your right-hand side, an dodgy arcade game outlet, a property agent co., while most of the other shops are empty until reach a junction. keep walking for 10 meters, you will see two BBS (one with red and one blue lights) on your right-hand side.
