Fast eddie 48There should be only one bus to CP. I asked which bus is to CP, and they only pointed to 1 bus. From HK, I was talking about HK airport. You can find more information at the HK airport website. The bus fare is like $120 HK.

I figure it should take around 3 hours from HK to CP:

1. HK -> border 40 minutes
2. Border -> CP 60 minutes

Plus you have to stop at the borders which can be a long time.

The Price of the E&E Bus service which takes you from HKIA to CP stop either at Hui Hwa or Hui Mei hotel. It cost HK$100. The route are:

From HKIA to Shenzhen Hwang Guang Immigration, you cross the Immigration, and there will be another Coach waiting on the other side. The Coach makes one stop at Huang Jiang before you arrived in CP. The whole journey will takes about 2 hours. Disadvantage is that you need to de-bus from boths immigration (HK and Shenzhen) for the Passport procedures.

Alternative are the Small car service also by E&E which you can buy the tickets at the Main Arrival hall or at the counter after you exit the customs. It cost HK$138. They will take you by a MPV to the Huang Border. At the HK border, the driver just need you to pass your passport over the drive though immigration. However, many a times on the Shenzhen side they will ask you to transfer over to a coach which will either takes you their Tang Xia Office and transfer you back to a small car before heading to CP. The whole journey takes about 1.45mins

Of course the best service which I took was Skylimo which took you via MPV from HKIA to Shenzhen border. There is another MPV waiting at the other end which will take you all the way straight to CP. Depending on the time you arrived in Shenzhen, if you are off peak hours, you might be riding the MPV alone. Cost HK$380.

There are many more alternatives.

Met up with McFly XXX from Hong Kong and my wingman Mr. J on Sunday and rolled out to CP to give McFly XXX the short but sweet tour. I was only in town for one night so was a bit pressed for time. I think McFly XXX really enjoyed himself as he took an afternoon pop from the stables

SZE - you are definetly right. I enjoyed the short stay in CP. One night only - but you bet it was not the last night. There is appetite for more, there is plenty of talent to sample. At least 3 girls on my list for the next visit.

Lily (don´t know the name anymore) from one of the Hui Mei stables was not bad - but also nothing special in terms of service. A little mechanical and seems to follow a routine that has been told to her. O.k for the afternoon pop.

After a pizza at the Happy Together - more like a miniature version of a pizza - my "guides" took me to the Yalan Area. Man! Not easy to decide - guess at some point I just had an overflow error and being overwhelmed with the supply of girls.

In Pattaya, a farang stronghold, there are bars and discos that cater specifically to Arabs. They play Arab music. The girls prefer Arab customers, speak some Arab and look, dress and make up the way Arabs like it.

In Hong Kong, the Wanchai bars cater specifically to gweilos. Chinese are not welcome. In Jakarta, the Blok M bars are bule-only. I could quote dozens more examples like this.

When a minority is significant enough to make entertainment options catering specifically to them economically viable, they will appear and they will be successful. Throw a bunch of laowai-lovers together, teach them some English, put them in a Wanchai-type bar and you may have a recipe for success.

It’s time you drop the “I’m King Chinese” attitude and realize that the Chinese P4P scene will not remain exclusively Chinese for long.

You are certainly not the first Laowai with a design to improve China (in one way or another) that I have talked to. Your report on CP was great, but I am afraid your conclusion is a bit off.

First, the Shenzhen P4P scene is catered more towards Chinese, be it local, HK or Taiwan, than laowai by a wider margin. It does not provide enough incentive for a large number of providers to become laowai-lovers, as you put it. Pattaya, on the other hand, is a town of 100K Thai people that saw 5 million visitors in 2004. If Shenzhen ever become remotely like Pattaya, the Chinese government would not hesitate to shut it down, like it did with the Japanese in Zhuhai. National image is at stake here and dictatorship can be very effective when it wants to be. Thailand by and large does not have a very effective government, though that might change with the generals. I am only kidding.

Second, your training plan is fundamentally flawed. You are assuming that the providers want to "improve" themselves, while all they wanted is to make a few thousand Yuan in six months or a year in Shenzhen and pay off the debt for the family back in Hunan/Sichuan/Hubei/somewhere dirt poor. There is no career path here. It is all short term. The ones you had fun with are probably on some slow train back to their villages as we speak, and the next batch will be arriving shortly after CNY to take their place.

We all know there are 1.6 billion Chinese, but very few of us actually pause to appreciate how enormous that number really is. Nobody can really claim to be able to change/improve the Chinese. The Chinese change themselves in a mysterious way. Just look at the Mongols. They conquered China. They finished off the emperors of the Song Dynasty. It was considered a shameful period of Chinese history. But did they manage to change the Chinese in a significant way? Not really. Nowadays, they just hang out regularly in Maggie's in Beijing. :-)

Mr. J and I decided to head over to CP Saturday to spend the New Year there even though others, including some on this board, said it would suck. I will have to say that you were either keeping a secret or were just assuming it would, it didn't and turned into one of the better times I've had there.

First, we confirmed our rooms at the Lucky Hotel before getting on the bus at our corporate rate of 197 rmb for the Honeymoon Room. When we arrived, the streets were crowded with people all celebrating the evening. After we checked in, we headed out to grab a bite to eat afterwards, Mr. J bought a whole bunch of fireworks and joined the mass of people shooting them off....sounding like a war zone with so many people shooting fireworks.

After the fun and games, we got down to business and noticed immediately that the stables behind the Hui Mei Hotel were closed, but the mommies were still out. They asked us if we wanted girls, of course we said yes, and within 5 minutes a van would pull up and out would jump 6-8 girls! We were doing lineups right on the main street next to the van!

Mr. J finally found one he liked, but I decided to call my little buddy Jo-Jo and try my luck with her to send me a girl. She came through 100% by sending me Lily who she said had only been in town 2 days.

After the afternoon romp, we headed out for a bite to eat, drank more coffee and decided to roll over to the Yalan Hotel a little early (around 6:30). We found an excellent driver who knew what we wanted and even came with us on the tour (nice guy).

As we approached the Yalan, the driver took us into a hotel parking lot, I did not get the name of the hotel but will try to give directions; If your standing at the major street corner by the Yalan Hotel, you will see a medicine shop on your right (which has stables above it...Jojo works here sometimes) across the street, is another medicine shop and small stores, directly behind these shops is a older hotel with KTV.

We were lead up to the 2nd floor and into a room where there was about 25 girls ranging in looks from 5-8, some of them were actual KTV girls (with uniform and #'s) while others were just working girls. yes, you go in the backdoor up to the second floor and the room is about 30 feet long with sofas on both sides.

thanks for the warning, even though my chinese is not so good, i can handle myself in most situations (retired military, first responder) and a pretty big guy, so i don't go into places i don't think i can get out of.

we took the bus to cp, same price as it always was 36 rmb one way, same price for the hotel, all the restaurants open (except a few) many open even at 2 am on new years day and most shops open for business new years day. what i think was the best kept secret was there was plenty of girls....only 2 of us but we saw over 50 girls during our 2 days. lots of girls in cp so even if 50% could afford or were allowed to go home, still leaves lots to pick from.

i agree that travel and prices are expensive if traveling to other cities but i don't think dongguan is in that scheme as the buses going and coming from cp were not even half full. i was planning on going to beijing, but after i saw the price of the air and hotel decided to play in cp.

Yes, she is certainly a stunner and had a wonderful body except for a large bruise on one of her thighs. I asked her about it and she said she bumped into something, who knows. She is certainly KTV quality girl and not real sure why she was in a stable, maybe she was so new the mommies grabbed her first. I also saw some young, fresh faced new ones at the #1 and #2 shops as well.

Lily was over 170 cm as was Luxia and I did them both an injustice by using a sorry camera and shitty skills to photograph them.

Think about it this way and maybe you'll realize that China really isn't that different from say the US, as strange as that may seem.

Let's say that in every 5 star hotel in every major US city, all you see are Asian guys that look like Kim Jong Il hanging around, having breakfast with some college cheerleader (yes, I know that this analogy has been used before). Don't you think that most Americans would be utterly disgusted by Asians. Hence, one possible reason why Chinese providers are not "eager" to service caucasians when there are plenty of locals in the market.

Another argument is, well, with all the hot shot, big money Asians everywhere. And I'm sure there are plenty mongering in the US. Why the f*ck don't those Americans learn some d*mn Chinese/Japanese/Korean/whatever? They'd surely be able to increase their income. Or maybe more of those big money Asians just need to walk around flashing huge bills and the local Americans would finally come around to learning how to properly service Asians. Or maybe they're just too dumb to work the math.

Anyway, point being that the previous arguments made by Loso can just as easily be applied to the US or any other Western country for that matter.

Haven't posted in a while since I've been in the US the past few months. Anyway, the sauna at the Crown Prince in Huangjiang is pretty nice. If you go out to the west side, the Kande Club sauna is also very nice. At Kande Club, you usually have to make a reservation, or else you're gonna have to wait a while.


2) How impossible is it really going to be more me to survive there without any Chinese language skills? If I do my homework properly, will I be able to arrange a take out at a BBS?

You would have to be galactically stupid not to be able to arrange takeout at a BBS in CP. Give the mommy 100RMB, and unless you say something, the girl will come with you. If you want to make arrangements for a different time, that would require a bit of ingenuity if you don't speak any Mandarin. Try pointing to your watch to tell her the time and show her your hotel key and write down the room number and time, that may work.... but it may not.... Alternatively, get a Mandarin phrasebook.

18 Sauna has a great huge line up of Viets, Koreans, Chinese & Thais and the presentation beside the pool area is superb.

However, I did not find the rest of the place "super-luxurious" as you stated.

In fact, the 18 sauna work rooms where the girls take you are pretty shabby compared to some of the Chang Ping saunas I have visited, abeilt, none of them have the size of line-up that 18 Sauna has. Then, in terms of service, it all depends on who you pick.

I totaly agree sauna 18 room is smaller compare to the new rio sauna but I still think sauna 18 have better line up , most large sauna In CP 4 star hotel use regular hotel room like New century or miraton and you can even stay over night for no extra cost if you arrive after 12.pm at under 600 rmb much less than sauna 18 but quality is much better in macau.

Girl quality will depend a lot on where you go. If you go to one of the better places they will have prettier girls. CP tends to have large quantity, but not necessarily quality. Give the Sheraton on the west side a shot. Ask to see their model girls. Some of them are very fine. I found Crown Prince to be more like CP in terms of quality, but the rooms tend to be nicer. if you monger want to see an awesome line up , go to Jia Yi KTV, they opened up last november. Awesome 600+ girl lineup dress to kill. they are lined up in four rows about a hundred fifty girls per row. the gaunlet walkng down is quite narrow, maybe at best four or five week wide. Mommy's and girls grabbing you from all sides. It is unbelievable. Like the old Amazon KTV routines.

If you do not like the ktv rooms you can take them to sit and see a cabaret show near the bar. Best of all, the rooms at the Jia Yi hotel next door cost only $188rmb a night.. very nice room, beautifully appointed and nice western size plus rooms. Make sure you bring your own covers because if you forget, the one in the room will cost you about $60rmb for a pack of 3.

BTW all the girls are atleast 7's and nothing over 23yo. I think the quality standard is even higher than the old Amazon. A lot of the Amazon's old staff or girls bolted for this new place. The only drawback is that the breakfast (included with the room) totally sucks.. I like the Hotel Versailles buffet breakfast better in terms of taste and quality.

One thing I like about 18 Sauna (besides the lineup) is the back room with those comfy lounge chairs, the food, and all those extra services you can get, like pedicure and leg massage. I also like the body washes available in the "wet" room.

Are the Saunas in CP like that - with shared sauna, shared lounge with services, and so on? From one I understand, the saunas in CP do not have shared spaces where food and pedicure are offered? Or am I wrong?

It also seems that the quality of the girls in 18 Sauna is much better than the saunas in CP. I found 95% of the girls at 18 to be in 8-10 range. It was a site to behold.

Also, I would love to try an upscale KTV in CP. Hopefully I will be able to find a few buddies to do it with.

I'm in BKK now and will fly to Shenzhen on March 4 and take a taxi/car/whatever to CP that evening. Hope to stay in the Miraton. Will be there until the 16th or the 18th -- can't remember now, and I don't have my ticket with me. And anyway, if I have a great time I'll extend the stay.

If the maps are of no use ( bad ), then since you are in Beijing, try going into a bookstore. There are paper maps of Dougguan. I have one myself but it's in Chinese. Overall, Dongguan County covers a very large area.

As you probably know Hong Kong was once a British Colony. Almost everything is in both English and Chinese. English has been taught as a secondary language for a long time. If I have to guess maybe over 100 years. China is totally different from Hong Kong and Macau. I was told upto about 25 years ago Russian was sometimes taught as a secondary language in China. Now it's mostly English. Getting around without Chinese, or without a guide or NOT doing your homework the first time, will be very very frustrating but not impossible. For example, telling a cabbie to go to the Holiday Inn in English or telling someone you want to go the Amazon KTV, you can almost forget about it. Names of hotels are called differently in Chinese from English. Next, buying a train/bus ticket and finding where to go off to will be a problem. Thne asking for help in the streets will be impossible. It's not like Thailand or PI. Staying at a high end hotels are the only excpection. This is just my opinion.

advice: do not go to hj bbs area alone!!! even the gals are cheap there i would not take one out. the chance you pick an **** gal is very high there! then we don't know how deep the relation to the local underworld is and a phone call/sms from the girl to your direction will end.
this area is more a "drive in bbs area". customers are driving by car from shop to shop and gals have to line-up in front of the shop and/or get picked out of car. was there two times (first time with a local guy and second time with an isg member) and walked around which seems not to be very common in this area.

If you want 9-10 quality and don't care what it costs, CP is not the place for you. You will find many more of them in SZ and DG city KTVs or Sheraton KTV in HouJie. Even if you are alone, you can go in and sit in the club area by yourself and see some line-ups. Most mamas will let you take their girls out without staying at the KTV. The bar pick-up scenario you describe is not available as I know of.

i agree, i have been to this ktv and the girls are very high quality, standard ktv fee's apply 200/500/800 with the girls. i reported about this ktv in post #1947. i also stayed at the versailles hotel and while the bathroom is pretty cool (all glass), the room kinda sucked (i.e. cigarette holes in the furniture and the wallpaper peeling off the walls) the other major drawback is the hotel is in bfe which means you have to travel to many of the bbs play areas or the main strip downtown. on an upside though, they do provide free van and driver...

Just a note for those of you that stay in central Dong Guan and do business in the Dalingshan district. There is new hotel option (about 1 year old) in the Dalingshan district called the Grand Oriental (http://www.dijinghotel.cn).

This is a 5 star quality hotel and since their occupancy is not high yet, you can get rooms inexpensively. The last time I stayed there it was 568 RMB per night. Excellent service and best of all is the FS suana on the 5th floor. You get 2 hours with your choice of very attractive girls (on two trips they had about 8-12 for me to choose from). Most of the girls are from inland provinces, Henan, Hunan, Hebei, Sichaun so there is a good assortment of sizes and types.

I have been to the hotel and the sauna twice. On both trips, I asked for "special service" and received the same treatment - shower with the girl, full dry body on body massage, oil body massage, DFY, full tounge massage, rimming, fire and ice, capped with bbbj and cfs, finishing shower, and a nice shoe shine. On my first excursion, the girl, a tall, busty Beijinger, was so enthusiastic it was truly on of the finest two hours I have spent with a woman. Unfortunately, I did not take her number. While on the second visit (about one month ago), I received almost identical service, it was a bit rushed and not so girlfriend like. I must admit that the second visit was about 2 am on a Sunday night.

The charges seem to be a bit flexible. On my first visit it was 800 RMB. I did not negotiate. On the second, about one month later, the mamasan recognized me and the charge was 500 RMB. I tipped the first girl 100 RMB and the second 50. I am not certain if the change in charge was also girl related. For those that have done the famous Nanyuan 5th floor sauna, this one tops it, is less expensive and the girls just as attractive.

I will probably continue staying here because it is very close to my business in DongGuan. I will definitely take advantage of the suana each time. Because I like variety, however, if anyone out there knows of any other service near the hotel, I would gladly venture out.

I was just wondering. When they say 2-5-8 at the ktv, does it mean 200+500+800=1500 for some time there and to top that the drinks that you have? Or is this all inclusive?

What do you have to pay the girl after that for taking her to your room? Or is everything dome in some ktv room?

The other replies I saw aren't exact about this and there might still be confusion. I'll try to be exact as possible. It's basically one or the other. If you sit with her and go home alone, you tip the girl 200 at the end of the evening. If you take her back to your hotel and want to have one shot with her, it's 500, that 500 also INCLUDES the sitting fee so you don't pay 700. If you take her back with you and you keep her all night until the morning, you pay her 800. That 800 includes everything and you don't have to give her anything more. Also, as AG said, pay the girl afterwards when everything is done and either you or the girl are ready to leave.

To make it worse... a lot of these places are spread out. For instance, Tangxia is almost an hour from Cinese. Most of the ones you mentioned however, are pretty much within 10 minutes from CP. Crown Prince, Hui Mei, Yalan, Miraton, Jia Yi, Lion, New Century, are all within 5-10 minutes by car. Sheraton and Cinese are about 10 minutes apart by car too and another 10 minutes from Sheraton is Jia Hua. 10 minute walk from Sheraton will take you to Kande Club too and a bit further is the Haiyatt. About 10 minutes from Jia Hua is Lungchuen Int'l in Humen. Humen also has about 4 other big hotels that have KTV and sauna. Silverland, Parkview, and Springwood Harbor are all in Humen. Going the other way from Cinese is Exhibition Hotel in DG City. Dongcheng is also about 5-7 minutes by car from there. There's a lot more to Dongguan too, espcially lots of small hotels with small KTVs, but the places I mentioned are probably the safest...

If any site is blocked, even in a hotel, just use a proxy server with a laptop which gains access to any site in the world. If you are worried about travelling with an expensive laptop, just bring an old one with no personal/business info on it and it wont matter if it gets stolen. Another reason not to use an internet cafe is the words "International Sex Guide" displayed clearly on each page and your login name. Not eactly something you want someone else to notice.

Yes the lounge Area is a great place to see the girls coming into work. But you have to be there early. However your need to book a room to see the lines up or the Meat market. But there are ways to get around it: Read on:

okay, two days here is like some sort of stephen hawking experiment in time relativity: so much can happen that it seems like most of the hours have been compressed into minutes, and then there are some minutes – in my case with a willing and enthusiastic young lady from yalan – that can seem like hours. really good hours. the kind of hours that are so good they should get names, like hurricanes: this was hour jie jie.

but as good as jie jie was, what has made this trip so amazing is the guys from this forum who took a total china greenhorn in hand and showed me the secret maps, price structures, and other essential travel tips to get the best out of changping. thanks to oah, who had beat the tom-toms about my arrival, i was met within a couple of hours by santa and szexpat, who introduced bad boy and me to the glories of the yalan area, where jie jie was waiting for me. (she has the trick that makes a really first-class girl in my opinion – she makes you feel like she's been sitting in that room for weeks, waiting for you to come through the door.) and it was great to see yalan for the first time with these two guys, both of whom know every door in the area, and were generous enough to open them all for me.

on the second day, oah showed up, and then a whole cloud of forum members: ace gallant (to whom we all bowed in the lobby of the miraton), laowai 123, wadman, and horny asian dog. meeting these guys after reading their posts for so long made me feel like a kid whose collection of baseball cards had suddenly come to life.

along with santa and szexpat, most of us made a return trip to yalan that was like the lewis and clark expedition if the lewis and clark expedition had had six guides, all of whom wanted to go in different directions at the same time. it took a while, but we eventually hit every door in yalan, and by the end of the trip, certain patterns had become clear. first, oah is a list-maker. he gets the name and number of every girl in every shop who interests him and then agonizes over which one to take. (at one point he asked me if i had a coin so he could flip it to make up his mind.) santa is always, and i mean always, offered the girl i like best. it's uncanny: i look around, spot one who stops my heart, and the mama immediately grabs her and steers her straight to santa. the other guys pick them like major-league pros eying a high-school baseball team. (wadman is so fast i still don't know where his girl came from.)

after dinner, naturally, oah insisted we visit the infamous catacombs. for those of you who frequented svay pak during its heyday, the catacombs are (is?) a little like svay pak with pavement. (and minus the **** stuff that got svay pak shut down.) the similarities are the freshness and aggressiveness of the girls, most of whom look like they've lived on cotton candy their entire lives and have never said a nasty word, and the really remarkable grottiness of the rooms. there's nothing wrong with the rooms that couldn't be fixed in about half an hour with a fire hose full of disinfectant, a dozen rat traps, and an armload of fresh linen, but it might ruin the ambiance. the difference from sp is that each room has one girl, while in sp, there were 20 to 40 in each house.

after the visit to the catacombs, during which two groups of us wandered around through the maze of alleys talking to each other on cell phones and trying to meet up (“what do you mean, you're at the swimming pool? what swimming pool?”) we finally joined forces. since this group apparently gets regular i.v. drips of straight red bull, they all decided to check out the houses near the miraton. i tried to beg off and was immediately guilt-tripped by oah and the others, who showed me text messages on their phones inviting them to changping just to meet rising son and told grim stories about how far they'd driven, or flown, or windsurfed, to get there.

at this point the evening gets a little fuzzy. i remember a lot more rooms with a lot more girls in them, including one cramped hotel room that looked like it was trying for the guinness book of world records entry for largest number of hookers in a standard single room, and i remember wadman (i think) somehow materializing another girl i didn't see him choose, and oah lining up with an interestingly matched pair – one very tall and the other shorter than tom cruise. (by the way, if you're a changping girl who'd like to snag oah, i have one word for you: boots. buy 'em and wear 'em. calf length and preferably in a bright color.)

I only remember my expenses translated to US $.

The cost for the driver was agreed to roughly US$20 for 4 hours. Since we went for 6 hours, I paid him US$30.

I gave Xiao a tip but not the driver, since he would be supplying the all-night escort and I knew he would take a deep cut from the girl.

The driver is much cheaper than renting a taxi for long term.

Hi, all --

Winding up a stay in Changping and I just want to say that everyone who likes women should come here. I've lived for years in Southeast Asia, and ChangPing beats the hell out of most of it. Here's why:

1. The girls aren't jaded: no tattoos (well, not many) no smoking, no ya baa. Sure, there's the occasional toughie, but only one out of the eight I spent time with. Four of them were absolutely delightful, and I wound up falling in love, at least temporarily, with one of them and kept her for two days. I'd have kept her longer, but I have to leave tomorrow.

2. Prices are good –not as cheap as Phnom Penh, but good. Twenty bucks or so for an extremely elastic hour or two with a beautiful 19 year-old Chinese girl beats the hell out of 50 or 60 for a beat-up Thai go-go dancer. I only had one girl who was really on the clock, although most of the others weren't slow to shower and get dressed after they knew I was happy. The one I kept was something else entirely – she never wanted to leave, or at least never acted like she wanted to leave. And she had no problem with repeated, um, exercise during the day. We went to bed happy, woke up happy, and got happy whenever I felt like it.

3. Most of the mamas and runners are still nice people. In fact, Santa and I had coffee with two and a meal with one. They get to know you fast and make you feel welcome. They're not always accurate about the level of service a girl provides, but the two times one told me I was taking the best girl in the shop, it would be hard to imagine it wasn't true.

4. Hotels and food are first-rate, unlike in Phnom Penh. There's great food everywhere, and it's cheap. The Miraton would be a $400-$500 per night hotel in New York, and thanks to a member of this forum I got a great rate. I'm not naming him because he doesn't want to be deluged with requests.

5. The guys from this forum are frequently here, and they're just amazingly generous with their time and knowledge. I'm particularly grateful to OAH for helping to get me here in the first place, and to Santa, with whom I spent the most time, and who's a great guy, and to Ace Gallant for stepping in with advice and translation. But everybody was terrific.

So my advice is, come if you can. Read the forum, ask advice AFTER you've read it, and create some online relationships with these guys. Then, before you go, ask who will be around. Believe me, it's better to learn the ropes here with one of these guys than it is to stumble around in a fog for three or four days trying to figure out where everything is and what to do when you get there.

I declare the assistant mama of mama “Baby”, mine. I broke her in one of my recent trip. This story is a bit in contra with a great story from Bull Shot from the Shenzhen board. (It is a great story by the way!) In this case, she was not forced into selling herself nor did she do it unwillingly. Somehow the fact that she refuse money after all these happened, make me guilty. May be it is another one of the tactics that Chinese Girls use? But regardless, she got me there!

So the moral of this story is, it is possible to pick up girls (freebies) even in a *****-house. Sometimes you get lucky sometimes you don’t. The key to this is communication.

Again, what are your expectations? What is a good talent from your POV? The best way to find a place which fits you will be to go to one and see what is going on there.

Fu Long is several bldgs south. I think it is the by the red/blue building. Those bldgs in between consist of a laundromat and several other small shops.


The redish/orange apartment complex (south of Fu Long) with a big pool (very clean as far as the eye can see, but didn't smell any chlorine) in the middle is very nice with many facilities for those that are in CP long term.

Yes boys, sorry, should have said Hui Hwa. The rate is about right, I get corporate rates there and can put you in contact with someone there to get you the rooms.

The hotel is located right next to Miraton.

I don't have many suggestions elsewhere, ever since starting to come out regularly about 3 years ago, I have either stayed at Hui Mei (sister hotel located across from Virgin) or Hui Hwa.

I like Hui Hwa's rooms and their KTV is very convenient to do the quickie before continuing on the partying. They have a great breakfast (dim sum), and the service is pretty good.

I don't know what Miraton rooms are like so I'm a little curious at rates and quality of the rooms. I'm sure both are comprable to each other.

Again, let me know if anybody is up for some KTVing together or getting footies locally (foot wash/massage). We've been there enough that we know the masseuses pretty well and they even come and go clubbing with us at Sunday (local club) sometimes.

Can't wait to go back next weekend. Either way, since I can't post my email address, I'll give you guys my China cell if anybody is interested in meeting up.

Yes, porn like Blue Movies and magazines are legal in HK. Prostitution is also legal in HK but must follow certain rules. It was mainly due HK once being a British Colony. In China it is totally different. There is this censorship in China unlike HK. I can go on and on about differences between China and HK. It's like two different countries.

This subject seems to pop up from time to time on the China board. I also tip nominally if the service is excellent; 50 RMB for BBS girls for example. I usually give them the "taxi" fare too.

The theory that you are helping a poor family in the countryside may be flawed. Although this could be the case, many of the girls just gamble the money away.

I often hear the same stories about huge tips from customers. I think it might have happened to them once in a lifetime from some fool with no brains (or at least thinking with his dick only) and deep pockets.

My suggestion is do not try to justify your generousity. If you want to tip for service, keep it reasonable.

On my last day in ChangPing, having worked through a respectable number of the Yalan and Hua Mei Alley girls, I decided to try a sauna. I'd heard various opinions from the members of the forum I had hung out with. The consensus seemed to be that it was too expensive and not necessarily an improvement over the girls in the shops.

Well, it was more expensive, but I loved it. It cost 528 rmb, and it was worth every penny.

Some of the descriptions I've read about have soaking pools and steam rooms and lockers and stuff. I went to the one on the seventh floor of the Miraton, which is maybe a little more basic. You get off the elevator and you're facing a desk with 2-3 girls and a couple of guys behind it. The one guy who spoke English took charge of me.

He led me to a very nice room: immaculate, with polished wooden floors, a king-sized bed, and an enormous step-down bathroom, complete with sauna. He asked me what I wanted, and I said I wanted a sauna, massage, and a pretty girl. He told me the girl was 300 rmb, and I said no problem.

About a minute later, five girls came in wearing short black cocktail dresses. Each of them carried a fancy little metallic makeup box with the tools of the trade. There were two I liked, and I finally pointed out one of the cutest girls I saw anywhere in ChangPing, maybe 20, maybe 5'1”, with hair to the top of her butt, and an absolutely luscious mouth. (Sorry, she spoke no English at all, and we were unable to exchange names.)

She turned on the sauna and undressed me, and then herself. She looked even better naked. Then she led me into the sauna and got the room ready while I sat there: clean towels on the bed, cups of hot water and ice, various gadgets, doodads, oils, and lotions. When she'd finished, I got out of the sauna and joined her in the shower, and she washed me more thoroughly than I've ever been washed before, using her body as a sponge, and getting literally into every crevice and opening.

The bed session started with light fingernail massage on my back. Then she used her tongue, and then something that was apparently edible, because she poured it over me, spread it out, and then sucked it up – an incredible feeling. She did some rimming and got me up on my hands and knees and worked on the rear exit for a while, with a lot more enthusiasm than I could have mustered if our roles had been reversed. Hui Hua does not have an English web site. It's Chinese web site claims it is a 5-star hotel. Its rooms have large screen plasma TVs, compared to a 19" CRT TV at the Miraton, so it has to be more upscale than the Miraton, which claims to be 4 stars.

I tried to book the room through a HK travel agency web site, but the guy never confirmed. I asked a few mongering bros to help but they said the rooms were all booked up.

I was unable to find any hotel-pimping sites that list any hotel in Chang Ping. So in desperation, I called up my friend Jia Jia the KTV mamasan. She took care of it quickly. I got the rooms at steep discount too, hehehe.

At this rate I will have to reciprocate by giving Jia Jia a few nights of pure pleasure and charging her only 75% rack rate. Believe me, Jia Jia needs a few good and hard sessions every night!

The 9th floor is their buffer floor. It is not so obviously a FS sauna centre. The rooms are closer to the standard hotel rooms with a small sauna but no sunken baths etc. Just a shower. Traffic is also less as there are some er...........hotel guests who have wives with them etc.

LWWhen I started staying at the Miraton over a year ago, the rate was 268(weekdays, Sun - Thurs) and 298 (Weekends Sat & Fri) includes 2 Breakfast and unlimited housekeeping makeup of room.

In around Sept 2006 (Sorry I might had forgotten the actual month) the rate went up to 298 for weekdays and 328 for weekends. This includes one breakfast and only one makeup of room per day. Any extra room makeup will be charged at 50 each time. Due to complain from customers on the breakfast, they revised it to 2 breakfasts a month later.

These are corporate rates courtesy of OAHISG travel services Inc. I had never stayed in Miraton at any other non-corporate rates besides occasional fully booked dates in which I will be put in Junior Suite or family Suite or Mahjong Suite for between 468 and 568.

If I am not wrong; the non-corporate rates for a standard room is 328 on Weekdays and 368 on weekends. I could be wrong, please feel free to correct me.

And, what are CNY 30 difference when you are willing to pay x-times more for a gal???!!! This, i am not able to understand, complaining about CNY 30 and then throwing money after a gal. At least for this CNY 30 (respectively 328/358) you know what you get, you maybe will ask yourself what you got from a gal after you paid her.

One important thing to remember about CP is that it starts and ends early. The BBS girls show up at Yalan between 2-3PM and by 10PM it is very slim pickings. I called one mama after midnight last night and she had nothing. Even the area behind the Hui Mei was all shut except for a few stragglers left over in the 2 star hotel there. KTV also starts earlier than other parts of China. Best to be there before 7PM if you want to see the best quality. The night market area probably had over 100 girls, but I got the same feeling as Laowai123 did. Although some girls were keen to go, most of them did not seem too "laowai friendly".

Went out to CP with OAH and Night Cat for a one nighter, meet up with other mongers who were already in town to include Laowai123, Gojo Bob and Jetsetter. Gojo Bob and I decided to reserve a couple of girls from behind the Hui Mei and then go over to the Walter Hotel for a foot massage.

I prefer to prepay my hotels to avoid surprises and receive my air miles but the Miraton did not appear on Expedia or the other travel sites.

Reading the forum gave me the confidence to spend some relaxing time in CP after the pressures of the fair.

No need to follow recommandation, just RTFF and you will find enough information where to stay. But, there is one recommandation: Book your room in CP and on weekends in advance, you maybe will have problems to book a room at the hotel you would like to stay when arriving without reservation on Friday evening or Saturday.

If you normally stay at the Shang and the Sheraton, you would probably prefer Hui Hua over Miraton. The HH is a step above Miraton. I have to admit, the Miraton has a musky smell that permeates the corridors which I don't like. HH is also pretty reasonable at 348RMB or 358RMB a night, don't remember exactly at the moment.

I just stayed at the Grand Howard in Qingqi Town for a night. I've been there a few times before but only to the bar and karaoke room with other people. This time I decided to get a massage.

Went to level 4 where it has foot massage, massage and sauna. Looked at the menu and decided on a full body massage. They told me to go to level 6. Level 6 is basically a whole floor of rooms with girls. And plenty of them.

200rmb for the room and 500rmb for the girl for 2 hours. Up to you if you want to tip the girl extra.

If it’s the same news video that’s link below by the BBC, its all over. It happened late last year around Dec 06. This was the annual crack down before the new year. One of the place was Sha Tsui in Shenzhen. The crack down in Sha Tsui made world news in Dec. Another place looks like Houjie in Dongguan with the BBS on both sides of the street but I'm not 100% sure.

I am more curious about one place I don’t recognize. In the very beginning of the clip, they showed the fronts of a few BBS with girls setting around. It looks like Walmart Area in Fuitian, Shenzhen. Can anyone help with the location? Thanks….

Went out to CP with OAH and Night Cat for a one nighter, meet up with other mongers who were already in town to include Laowai123, Gojo Bob and Jetsetter. Gojo Bob and I decided to reserve a couple of girls from behind the Hui Mei and then go over to the Walter Hotel for a foot massage.

Knowing that this was going to be my last trip in a long time, my buddy and I (CMAN) and I came to CP for what we believe to be our last trip in a while. We each have obligations and while we would love to come back more, probably won't be able to. So on a moment's notice (less than a week) we booked and came to CP (as we have been in the last few years).

We started off on our own and eventually met up with lots of ISGers who are around and had a blast just getting to know the guys, meeting new friends and generally building the network.

As a bit of background, I'm an ABC (technically not born in America, but been there long enough) speak enough Mandarin to get around, but don't read or write. My buddy who is an ABC doesn't speak any chinese, but has picked up words here and there, and had just as good of a time by utilizing the phrase book and using me as a translator.

We started a few years ago staying at Hui Mei, and eventually moved to staying at Hui Hwa, the sister hotel. Like I said previous posts, after getting to know the mommy at the KTV on the 3rd level, we got the rate of 392 RMB for the Exec. Rooms which include a 32" TV, and a DVD / PC that connects to the internet. Nice to have if you're traveling bare, but I bring my own laptop, so having the PC wasn't a big deal, but I love the DVD Player.

First, the DVD player in the room makes it nice to kick it with the girl after a session. Since I hate watching Chinese shows and the hotel's version of cable simply sucks, I need something to break up my day while I'm lying in bed. For those who don't speak chinese, it's even a better idea because if you can't communicate and can't sleep and want to just chill naked getting more value to your buck, then having an english DVD with chinese wording works the best.

Assuming the girl is cool, and likes you, they are always more than happy to just kick it, since being in their stuffy BBS's isn't as fun as your luxury room, AC, nice comforter, and just relaxing.

Anyways, in terms of getting to CP, we found the roundtrip service from the HK airport to be the best. When you go to HK, go to the A15 stand it's located in front of Termina A arrivals. Tell them you want a one way to CP, which will cost you 250 RMB. (Approx. $35). Some may think that's pricey because you can take a big bus for less, but I think the small minivan (7 person) is the way to go. first, if you get off the van at all it'd be only once. For the big bus, you'll have to get off twice, and it takes FOREVER waiting for others to pass through the border.

Small van allows you quick access. Sometimes it takes a little longer depending on the border, but we were through the border and off to CP in under 2 hours. Which isn't bad from HK. I used to take a minivan just to the border, and take the taxi's waiting to come back to the DG area, but the cost difference was minimal. As such, the 250 RMB was well worth the ease and hassle free trip STRAIGHT to the Hui Hwa entrance. I mean it was from HK straight to the Hui Hwa entrance with NO PROBLEMS.

For those who don't have Chinese Currency, the only issue with doing this route is that you won't have anywhere to change money on the way EXCEPT at the HK airport which only gives you HK Dollars (which is not as desireable as the RMB) so keep in mind how you can change just enough to get your ticket and then take the minivan straight to Hui Hwa. There you can go to the local Bank of China and get some money.

I just stayed at the Grand Howard in Qingqi Town for a night. I've been there a few times before but only to the bar and karaoke room with other people. This time I decided to get a massage.

Went to level 4 where it has foot massage, massage and sauna. Looked at the menu and decided on a full body massage. They told me to go to level 6. Level 6 is basically a whole floor of rooms with girls. And plenty of them.

200rmb for the room and 500rmb for the girl for 2 hours. Up to you if you want to tip the girl extra.

Part 2.

Okay, so the van trip was a quick one, took about 2 hours from HK right to the door of Hui Hwa. The problem with checking in initially was that we were a day early and they couldn't find the original reservation. So what I suggest is that even if you do reserve with someone, double check the week and a few days before hand. When I say double check, I mean triple and quadruple check it so that you are covered. If you try to show up on a Saturday as we did with no confirmable reservation, it was a challenge to get a room. Fortunately, however, we did, we had to get a double bed room, but hey, one for having fun and one for sleeping. It was a one night thing and the next night we were back in our king sized beds.

So checked in around 2 p. M. , got showered, and then made it a mission to get the first initial "edge" off. So we headed out in search of some BBS gals. Given our proximity to Hui Mei Alleyways (Thanks Lao Wai 123 for the AWESOME work of the CP maps, which allowed us to know where everything was), we went straight to the alleys, and followed the various mommies to their "stables". After visiting a few, we found ones that we liked, slim pickings at around 2-3 p. M. , I think the gals are more availble in numbers later in the evening after 6 or 7 p. M?

Either way, we found ones we liked, and for us, we never pay up front. It's not really "necessary", but we weren't walking home with the gals, since we don't like to draw attention. Rather we have the gals sent up to the room "in about 10 minutes". So I had what I will later explain as the MP Thief in my room. Huge rack, cute face, but whose nether regions were not that fragrant (which I only found out later). Oh well, lesson learned.

Okay, so that night, even before I found out about the stolen phone, we booked a room at the Hui Hwa KTV. At the KTV, we found out a little secret we previously did not know about. First, we got a glass booth in the "DA TING" translated as the "Big Room. " After sitting and asking for the line-up (despite getting there at 6: 30 p. M.. Fairly early), we found little to no interest in lining up for two guys. I was thinking. Okay. Something's wrong, so we decided to go browsing for out own. We later learned that in terms of the big room, only 3 mommies have access to bring line ups there. In short, while there are something like 15 mommies or maybe more, you only get a small percentage of them in front of you. However, if you go out and look, you can pick whatever girl you fancy.

Problem with going out to pick a gal in the hallways is your ability to look, and know that she is worthy of you stopping her. It was too much pressure for my buddy who was a dear in headlights. My problem was that before I got to see anybody I liked, the repeater from my last trip spotted me. Since I was going to take her later that week, I had to take her again, so didn't get the variety I was looking forward to that night. Oh well, it was still VERY good, since I had maintained a relationship with her since leaving last time (calls every once in a while, a few text messages, etc.).

Irrespective, my buddy looked around, eventually found someone, and we partied in the glass room whose minimum was 200 RMB. It's a good deal, since we weren't looking to drink it up and there was just two us. No DJ Fee, just the 200 and so it was the KTV experience without the price. However, please don't forget about the rule that only certain mommies on certain nights get to bring girls to the "DA TING".

Anyways, we had a good time, and I"m not sharing information on my repeater. Yah, I'm selfish, but here's a picture of the ***** thief.

For a couple days we went to the restaurants on the main drag where they display live seafood in tanks on sidewalk. We were eating pure seafood for a couple days because we could not speak enough Chinese to order from menus.

Met with MFPSLOVER. He took us to the small barbeque place a few doors from the Miraton's front door. The name is Man Lian Cha Can Ting. They hang BBQ ducks and chicken in glass store front. He ordered some very tasty dishes. We came back the same night and were able to order some very nice dishes to go with copious amount of beer, despite our language handicap. The food was very good and cheap even in CP standards.

MFPSLOVER also took us to the action near Yalan hotel. It was a very interesting sight with mamasans hawking their girls like chickens. I took a girl from Yalan who was very pretty with a happy personality. We spent a few nights at the Hui Mei's KTV stage. The mamasans there are also very aggressive in selling the company of their girls, short of pulling their boobies from their fancy party dresses, and urging the clients to feel the samples...

Thanks for any replies.To clarify any misconception, CP is a city located within DongGuan which is more of a region (think of town vs. County). While there is "DongGuan City", whenever people are talking about Dongguan, they could be talking about CP or they could be talking about other town located within Dongguan (such as Houjie).

If you wanted just to get the "best of, " I'd suggest staying where the action is and you'd have to be blind and dumb not to find someone pimpin a girl to you. With the use of LaoWai's map, and two legs, you could get laid in about 30 minutes of stepping outside of your hotel. Just walk down he main strip.

To get the best of I'd suggest the following:

1. BBS Girl (step out the hotel and go shopping). Can do it easily behind Hui Mei's alley and pick from there, or if you're more willing to wait, go to the Yalan District for happy hunting.

2. KTV. Usually only done with groups, but going alone to Ja Yui (Tao Yang Recreation) and sitting at the bar or "da ting" is fun too. Gotta do the gauntlet of 300+ gals and arrive early for your pick.

3. Sauna. A one of a kind experience. Hui Hwa has one, Miraton has one, Virgin has one, and so do most of the major hotels. You'll get every oraface licked. I even had a chick, put a condom on my toe and allowed me to toe bang her. Whever in the world do you get that kind of treatment? !

Anyways, that's probably the best of. Best stay away from the Catacombes. Find your favorite, do a double, and that'll cover you for about 3 days.

Oh yah, don't forget to get a footie. I personally like the one at Lucky Hotel. Other guys on the board would go for Hui Mei's footie place, but I think the gals at Lucky are cuter and more fun.

The mamasans will pull you off the street and show you their girls. Just stay in the two main areas for fun, Yalan and Hui Mei. The price is better than the cities you mentioned and the girls are younger too.

Quality is always a hit or miss anywhere. You really don't need to know the language. The mamasans are pretty much used to the non-speaking customers by now. Just read the board on the pricing and don't get rid off. Safeguard your valuables and you'll be fine.

When I was there in Dec., 2006, there were about 50 girls total in the 4 shops in the Hui Mei area and over 150 girls total in the 6 shops in the Yalan area.

The catacomb is worth visiting, just to see what 30RMB can get you. It's a 10 minute walk from the Miraton and a 15 minute walk through. Go during daylight, after 3:00 p.m. Go with a friend.

Left CP, called Sali the driver to go to Dongguan. He agreed to 150Y from the Hui Hua hotel. Dongguan/Houjie is a large factory town. Nothing much interesting. Stayed at the Shanhu, 4-star hotel, for less than US$50 a night, about 1/3 miles from the Sheraton which costs US$120 , same owner, a Chinese guy owned both.

Had to sleep due to time zone difference. Took a super effort to get up at 7PM to go to Sheraton KTV. The mamasan met us at the huge lobby. A Chinese guest translated for us. The minimum charge for the smallest room is 680Y, sitting fee 300Y, ST 800Y, LT 1000Y. I told her prices are way too high, and I want to look at the line up first.

Was taken upstairs. The 2 dozen hostesses at the door were all tall, pretty and elegant. About 30 VERY PRETTY girls were lounging around in a living room. I was very impressed and decided to stay.

Was taken downstairs to a small karaoke room. The mamasan said special deal for 390Y min, but any drink order would offset the 390Y. Ordered 12 beers, got 12 free for 600Y. Not bad.

The mamasan brought in a young girl who speaks fairly good English to translate. She has that classic pretty face, tall , slim and elegant. She explained the deal in details.... Sheraton 5-star hotel, no hidden charges, no lies etc... I immediately decided she would stay with me.

Despite her classy good looks that beat any girl I have met in KTV's in China, she was a 23 YO garment worker in Dongguan. The pay was low, but she lost her job when the factory moved to an even lower-wage area in Fuchow. She showed me the hardened palms and the many small scars on her small beautiful hands. She said my hands are way too soft compared to hers. She had taken English lesson, 6 hours per week, at the factory. The top office managers were all US-educated Chinese. She works for KTV about 3 months.

We asked for a lineup for my friend. The first 10 girls had many pretty ones, but one tall, slim girls had that pretty face worthy of a movie actress. Unbeknownst to each other, all 3 of us had voted for that little 20 YO girl. She's a friend of my girl. We started drinking and singing. Hired a pretty young girl to work the machine for 200Y. She was also drinking the beer heavily.

Occasionally the young mamasans and business managers dropped in to talk and drink with us. The 24 beers last a long time. Told the managers to hire a teacher and give English lessons to the young girls. They would learn quickly. Would improve guests' satisfaction tremenduously as well as earnings and tips for the girls etc... all agreed.

I was gradually falling in love with my pretty English-speaking girl. She was probably feeling the same when heard of my care and concerns for the hard-working people of China.

He should learn about the Big Golden Parachute trick from the stupid corporate assholes in America.

I was in CP for one night in Feb 07. Caught the CTS bus from Gongbei in Zhuhai at 5 Pm. It was not a comfy ride as I got stuck in the last row but not too bad. You get a bottle of water. I am sure there are better buses from other bus stops but this one leaves right from the mall infront of Gongbei customs so was very convenient.

I was happy to be let off in front of HuiMei hotel and walked up to Miraton and got a walk in rate of 320. By the time I walked up to Miraton I must have had atleast 3 cards from different Mommys.

Walked around for a bit and took a taxi to Yalan Hotel. Walked into reception area and really didnt know what to do. One of the girls in a suit, kind of figured out I was looking for a gal and took me to a shop infront of Yalan hotel. I saw about 7 or 8 gals and took mommy's recommendation.

I think the gal's name was Xiao Lin and was a very good experience. I actually think the she wanted to stay long time. I would have been very happy to keep her long time but wanted to try something else as I only had one night.

Went out had dinner and got sidetracked into watching all the fireworks(CNY) in the park next to Hui Mei. By that time it got late and I went back to Miraton to check out their Sauna. The manager was very courteous and explained the cost structure in English. Unfortunately I dont remember all the details. He had a line up of 4 girls and all of them were above 7. The manager gave me his card and asked me to call him ahead so I can get a discount. Anyway I excused myself saying I will be back the next day.

Stepped outside the hotel and a mommy attached herself to me and came back to my room and called up a gal despite me saying all I wanted was to go to sleep. Anyway the gal who showed up was pretty nice about 6.5 in looks and service. Definitely not long term material like the first one but I had no complaints.

Got up early in the morning and took the EE bus shuttle to HKIA.

AGDisagree. I would normally not post any pics in a public forum, but how am I going to warn my fellow bretheren of this potential thief? Nice or not, it's a moot point now. This was my only bad experience in China after going for about 4 years.

Did I also tell you I actually confronted her again a few days later with her mommie's help, giving her an opportunity no questions asked to hand over the phone in exchange of additional money. Sort of a "okay you got me, the phone is no good to you, so for your cunningness, here's a few hundred RMB. " And she refused. I could've easily done more than try to reason with her, but I didn't want to cause any hassle/problems.

Let me pose a question out there, because this is something I just don't know or didn't do. Do you guys tip the mamasans separately? I personally never have and still get great personal attention from them. I'll call the ones I like to book rooms, which I what I think they're primarily after. However, in terms of direct tips of money, I've never seen this to be something they were after. I also, if the mama is someone I know, I'll pick one of their girls who weren't selected just to hang out with us and drink. I'm sure the mama gets a cut of that, and the girl gets some business, despite the fact that I wouldn't even want to touch the girl on a normal basis. (as such, that's pretty much the only thing I'd do to "tip" them if they gave us lots of attention)

Of course it can be different in Houjie at the Sheraton, but what are your opinions on this topic?

Went to the Jiayie KTV at about 9PM, way too far out in a seedy area.

The place had about 1 dozen girls hanging around, nothing attractive. Thr Jiayie has a small stage with about 10 tables, no show was going. It costs 38Y min per head to hang around there. Fuck it. We decided to go back to the Huimei.

The Huimei has a big stage, costing only 30Y per table min. The show was going on all night. Mamasan called out the girls, 2 dozens swarmed over our table. My friends were appropriately overwhelmed. 4 people were Hanging around drinking and playing all night and the bill was only 120Y. Had a lot of fun.

The KTV girl looked really good in her party dress, with large round boobies and a small lanky body. Decided to take her back to the hotel for ST. When stripped, she had used one of the largest push-up bra in Asia, and her boobies were free falling without the massive support structure! Her body did not look that good either. The minimum charge for the smallest room is 680Y, sitting fee 300Y, ST 800Y, LT 1000Y. I told her prices are way too high, and I want to look at the line up first.

Was taken downstairs to a small karaoke room. The mamasan said special deal for 390Y min, but any drink order would offset the 390Y. Ordered 12 beers, got 12 free for 600Y. Not bad.

The mamasan brought in a young girl who speaks fairly good English to translate. She has that classic pretty face, tall , slim and elegant. She explained the deal in details.... Sheraton 5-star hotel, no hidden charges, no lies etc... I immediately decided she would stay with me.

We asked for a lineup for my friend. The first 10 girls had many pretty ones, but one tall, slim girls had that pretty face worthy of a movie actress. I know everyones got their favorites, KTV isnt for everyone. But if you do decide to go, get there early. By 9, all you will see is left overs, sometimes a truly sorry bunch. Also always ask for discounts, if you book a room ask for comps. The midlevel guys can usually comp 15% of what you spend. The higher managers can do better. They are also allowed to knock off another 15% or so off the bill. If you dont want to bring a girl home for whatever the reason, ask for free room. Even if they cant get you one, you can usually get a discount of some sort. JiaYi readily gives out suana room coupons which i find great hangover cures the following afternoon.

If someone really smells tell someone(them or their mommies). Sometimes its just an yeast infection whcih can be treated, but regardless, your helping them and everyone else. I stopped BBSing because of the smell, but after seeing Yalan ive changed my mind.

I dont think its customary to tip mommies even if you just sit in the common areas. The assistant mommies shouldnt be paid unless they havent left your side all night and/or you take them out.

Checked into the Miraton with the OAH/ISG rate. Since it was Tuesday, I thought I didn't need to book a room but I was wrong. They only had the "executive floor" room. The scam is that they have a computer in there and they charge you an extra 70rmb. Well, beggers can't be choosers.

At the Sheraton, The girls have to split roughly 20% of all their bookings to the mamasans. Out of the 300Y sitting fee they have to give the mamasan 30Y, 120Y for ST and LT takes.

They also have to pay the KTV management 2500Y per month, about twice what it costs to rent a local apartment, to work there. Then there are numerous fines and penalties if the girls violate rules...If they fail to bring back at least 2 repeat customers a month, their management fee go up...

Needless to say the girls are pissed off at the mamasans for skimming 20% off their earning, but at the same time seem very fearful. They suggested that we tip the mamasan 100Y rather than the 200Y expected. If the girl did not suggest the tip, I would never have tipped these lowly leeches anything.

The mamasan was quite reasonable, reducing the room min from 680Y down to 390Y. Of course we spent a lot more than that on tips etc...

The plus side is my very worldy friend never met a prettier girl than this young, tall, lanky, classy super model with a very pretty and innocent face. He kept saying to me he fell in love with her.

If you read my past reports, you'll see dozens of posts about Houjie, Humen, DG City, and even Hongmei going back at least 3-4 years. As for where I got those rates, I have friends who have business on the west side and those are the prices I see on the key card packet when they get the rooms for me.

As for Cinese being far, it's only a 10 minute cab ride from the Sheraton, and Cinese has the best breakfast buffet around in my opinion.

It all depends on the place. At some places, tipping the mamasan is expected, at others, it's not. The girls will tell you when the bill comes. AFAIK, none of the places in CP expect you to tip the mamasan. In Shenzhen, at most of the better places, it's expected. At Sheraton and Cinese, both in Houjie, it's also expected.

Hotels do that all the time and you could have exactly the same room on a higher floor (with no computer) and pay more too.

After all, some guests do want the "puter" and are willing to pay for it. These machines do depreciate quickly enough even if they are underutilized.

Its not fair to call it a scam, just the way hotels differentiate their guests, facilities and rates they charge.

Surely, you have been on a flight and noticed that the seats in each class are mostly the same but, some pay more and some pay less.

If you know the manager of the cinese ktv you get a discount as much as 50 % off the rack rate .I paid around 500 rmb a yr ago for a deluxe room but I think sheraton have better room , I also stay at shahu before their is nice but cinese ktv and sauna have more and better girls , but if you show up at cinese and ask for a room for under 500 rmb you should get it they always have room .

After reading this forum I am interested in visiting CP. My question is should I even bother visiting Dongquan? I'll only have three nights and this is strictly a mongering trip. Everything I read here leads me to think Dongquan doesn't offer a mongering tourist nearly as much action as CP.

I also wanted to ask if it would be very difficult to see the sites of CP without knowing the local language. I'm been to Beijing, Shanghai, and HK but I realize CP is more challenging.

Try and show up early in KTV, by 9 theres just left overs.

Ask for discounts, its standard to comp 15% of expenses at most KTV, the higher ups can comp and discount even more; JaiYi readily gives out sauna coupons (good hangover cure).

The pickings in Yalan are really darn good value for the money. It was an eye openner for me.

I want to thank Laowai for the maps as well as the resturant recommendation that night. I enjoyed the spicy food.

I was told that there is a hefty fee when they start there work at the ktv. a few years back the gal at amazon told me something like a $10-15K fee at the get go. She told me that amazon allow them to pay it off in several installments with interest of course. She told me that the popular ones chgs more and less at the second rate ones. Come to think of it, it was probably 560 I saw on the key card package. I have a poor memory for how much stuff costs when I don't pay for it. ;) Best deal on the west side is probably Lungchuen International. We used to pay 320 a night there and every now and then, when they ran out of standard rooms, we would get upgraded to suites for the same price. A friend of mine used to live there about 6 months out of the year, in addition to guests every week, so he got their best price along with a bunch of other discounts including KTV, sauna, haircuts, massage, food, etc., etc. Cuz of him and a few other friends, and some friends of friends, I pretty much stayed at every decent place on the west side.

I gotta admit though, all this talk about the west side has me itching to go there. Think I've been spending wayyyyy too much time in CP, maybe it's time to make the rounds at Houjie and Humen again. I've always enjoyed the Sheraton KTV, probably the best KTV in all of Dongguan. The Italian restaurant they have there is pretty good too.

Beers are 50Y each. Buy 12 get 12 free. 600Y for 24 beers. You can hand out the beers as tips. It seems that everyone from the managers, mamasans ....down to the waiters/ushers all want to drop in and have drinks with you.

You dont have to hire the karaoke machine girl. Your girl can work the Remote control.

The 600Y offsets the min room charge. 300Y sitting fee for your girl. The remaining 600Y is up to you how you wanna divide it up in tips. Or you can take your girl ST for 300+500Y and have 100Y for taxi and no tip. It's a large sum of money in China's standard as the average factory wage is about 1000Y a month, was 600Y just 2 years ago.

Taxi from Dongguan to Houjie will probably cost 50Y.

Houjie does have some exquisite beauties. Even the door girls at the Shanhu hotel are tall, lanky and pretty.
