Your phone needs to have this GSM 900 "band". You can call your USA carrier to unlock your phone, or pay 100rmb, like I did.

I know in Hong Kong you can buy it at any 7-11 s. In China there is a lot of cell phone shops. If you get a nice number they charge you more. Just get the cheapest one, unless you plan on living in China.

If you are living in China, like us regulars mongers, you do not need ONE cell# you need at least 3.

1) For your business and legitimate friends/family members.
2) For your mongering buddies and regular GF (Freebies)
3) For those BBS, KTV, Sauna and any other fuck friends.

I assumed when you say Unicom you meant Both China Unicome and China Mobile.

Yes, if you want a China cell# that works in anywhere in China, Hongkong and Macau; you need to tell them that. But the numbers are limited, meaning you have lesser choice of "golden Numbers" And if I am not wrong, it cost a little more for the SIM card package starting from 80RMB. The normal China only cell# is 55RMB for China mobile and 48RMB for China Unicom.

And for those from States, please take note again: China GSM frequency is 900, most part of USA uses 1900 or 850 make sure your cell has GSM 900 before you buy a SIM card in China. Do not assume that a Tri-band or a Quad Band GSM phone has GSM 900

For the newbies; Miraton will usually hold your rooms until 6pm. If you do not check-in by 6pm, they will usually call the contact person you had given during your booking of hotel. In the case where your contact person (phone#) is an overseas# they will not call. Normally any check-in after 6pm requires Credit Card# as a guarantee booking. This in fact is standard for most hotels around the world. However, sometimes on a non-fully booked day, you might be able to get away without any guarantee.


I was the one who helped make the booking and in fact, my contact called me at 8.30 to ask me what to do. They had reserved all rooms on the same floor (20th) as requested by DH. The reason I was called was because the hotel was filling up very quickly.

Damm, I didn't have a number to call DH. My instructions were simple, "hold the rooms till 10pm and if they don't show, give up the 20th floor and hold till midnight whatever inventory is available. At midnight, I was informed that there was no show so I released all the rooms because I would otherwise have been billed the lot!

There are courses at many colleges and universities. Some places offer online or tele courses. Some courses are on a computer. Yeah, kind of busy. My friend got FUBAR after eating some bad meat, and I'm not talking about pussy. He was lying on the bathroom floor, puking, and shitting water. Depending on how you look at it. If they stayed at the KTV late (until 2:30 AM), and had 1 (attempted) session which lasted until 4 AM, I think 500 rmb is the proper price. About 1 month ago , we stated getting reports on TV (USA) and Europe too that our dogs were dying from bad Chinese food additives in dog food. 6. i'm from a us city, so squatty toilets are a bit of a novelty. i don't really have a problem with the squatty toilet on principle, it's probably cleaner actually since you don't have to touch anything to take a crap. the problem comes in the implementation. it seems squatting muscles are not naturally elastic or strong and i can't maintain that position for more than 30 seconds. the first time i was forced to use one, i thought i was gonna just have to sit on the damn thing because my muscles were starting to cramp up.

5. cutting in lines. i don't know about any of you guys, but i have a serious problem with this. i hate it when people cut in front of me in line. it's so fucking rude!! i understand people have a natural impatience, but you would think a 5000 year old civilization would have mastered waiting in line by now.

4. i can't stand the sight of chicken feet. this is probably more of a pet peeve, but i don't care. whenever i see chicken feet, i get so grossed out, i can't eat the chicken. i don't understand why people eat the damn things either, it's like chewing on hard jelly covered bones.

3. hairy armpits on girls. again, probably a pet peeve since there are probably some guys out there who might actually prefer it this way. i personally find it unattractive and can't believe the number of girls who won't shave their pits. as a corollary, i don't understand why more girls won't shave their legs either. kinda gross seeing nasty manly leg hair on an otherwise attractive girl. if i had it my way, laser hair removal would be a requirement for working at a ktv.

There are some nice restaurant in Shekou Area in Shenzhen with few steak houses. I looked at some of the menus and the beef is mostly from Australia. One place claimed to have USDA beef but the pictures didn't look right. Too bad some of the resturants at Shekou were damaged and out of business by a flood in May or June.

I think the HK airport also has a nice steak house located on the second floor but expensive. This was a four years ago and I don’t know if the HK steak house is still in business. Overall, I think HK would have the most places for steaks. This question on good steak was asked before so I decided to take some pictures.


When I was there in Shekou there were all these guys taking pictures of some female models. The models were not that pretty but I'm not farmiliar with the models in China. It was some kind of photo shoot. Sorry if this post is a somewhat off topic.

Just a quick clarification:

The member I was referring to on the ZH thread is no one else but our famous and Handsome Azn Playa. My impression from his previous posts is that He is known to be so good looking that he can get freebies by just responding to girls in ZH with his smile. The manual assistance and soapy wash ala pink apartment is also readily available here till 4am in the morning. They dress in uniforms and are not hidden like the bbs in CP. They don't do anything else on premise but considering they earn max 4k a month they will pocket some on the side if you call them or leave your number since not all of them have mobile phones.

From my sources there was a raid conducted yesterday in Yalan area at around 8pm. All the BBSs are closed and mummies were nowhere to be found around the areas. by 9pm Yalan area was empty. I tried calling 3 of my regular mummies to verify but none of them got through.

However the good part was, the Meow Mobils are still operating. Some how I got a feeling that soon, CP will be famous for Meow Mobil instead of BBSs.

For Newbies, don't be scare off by the raids. As long as you carry your passport or copy of your passport (Copyright by Santa) They will let you off because the local police do not want to mess around with foreigners. However if you mess around with them, they have to rights to detain you in one of those dirty and smelly detention cells in the Police station for up to 12 hours.

The Merchant Bank of Dongguan next to Virgin Hotel and the Bank of China at the end of the main street of CP just spent huge amount of money renovating their branch there. Perhaps, it is their under-sight or someone up there had forgotten the great incident of the year 2000? :D

Just wanted to give you the heads up about KTVs in general. Fridays and Saturdays are the busiest because the HK crowd comes in. Actually around Thursday you will start to see the influx of HK people. Sundays is the slowest and worst times to go because the pretty girls all party the days before and take Sundays, and sometimes Mondays, off to recover. So to book popular KTVs 2 days in advance is a good thing. Also, if you know someone in the KTV, like a mommy or manager, make reservations with them, because they can give you deals and discounts, also may comp you some free stuff, like food and alcohol.

Just passing info taught to me by Charged Red.

Moody also says that if you buy the sit down fee with the same girl several times, you may get a freebie. I believe him, because this guy, calls Hui Hua KTV (the most busiest KTV in CP) on a Saturday night (the most busiest day of the week), in the Miraton Hotel, like at 7:20pm, and gets a booking that very night. I don't want people to get the wrong impression. It isn't as simple as getting the same girl a few times. You have to "click" somewhat. There are a lot of girls that I haven't gotten more than once because the girl and I just didn't "click." Once you do though, you can usually talk them into it.

There's once thing I like to point out. 200RMB sitting fee and 500RMB ST fee.... not much difference. If the girl likes you, she'll be more than willing to forego that 300 or so. Just my humble opinion.

We were exchanging our USD for RMB at this small local shop that is acutally in the same building as the Hui Mei Hotel. Just walk out of the Hui Mei Lobby and take a left. The "little store" is the first shop you will see on the left, they sell drinks, condoms, etc. Very small shop, like 5 ft by 5 ft. The next shop will be a cell phone shop, damn guys broke my camera button, while unlocking my phone. Anyways, that small shop exchanges 740rmb for 100 usd. They are very honest, we never received any fake bills from them and we did exchange over 6,000 usd with them. Here are some figures:

Current rate is 7.56rmb for 1usd.
"Little store" exchanges at 7.4rmb , thus losing around 2%.
Pay with credit card and lose only 1% (the processing fee).

Conclusion, Pay with credit card whenever possible, like hotel, KTVs and expensive dinners. Your exchange rate is better. I do not know what the ATM charges are, but I'm sure they will get you better rates than the "Little Store".

These little shops provide the best exchanges, there is also another honest shop not in CP, but a secret spot, that offered 7.47rmb for 1usd. So I suspect 7.4rmb is the best rate you will find. Too bad the girls don't take plastic :)

I had an experience once in which I used my Credit Card in a restaurant in Shenzhen, and my bank called me later that evening (for security check) asking whether I did charge 20,000RMB on my that same credit card. I told them No, and they block off that credit card immediately. Apparently someone had cloned my credit card and went on a spending spree.

From than onwards, I wouldn’t use my credit card in a less established place.

In some bigger establishment, they do not except Foreign Credit cards. Not because of the higher bank charges, but because there are higher fraud rate.

As a card holder, I did get a refund for a charge I never made. It was so easy. They just send you a new card when that happens.

Give the criminal the cash and they will leave you. Give them a credit card and they will drain it all, one withdraw at a time. Where does that leave you? Tied up in a god-forsaken run down top floor apartment that no one will ever think of looking for you in.

A similar situation has happened to a senior member here already in CP.

Keep you credit card/ATM card in your hotel safe. Carry only cash you need for the day and night. Have a copy of your passport and visa in your pocket. Keep original passport with visa in hotel safe. You can even take that extra step of leaving your hotel room card with the front desk.

It's even not worth the hassle of dealing with your credit card company over one disputed charge. Imagine 5 or more to deal with? To write letters explaining that they are not yours.

Me, I prefer a hassle free trip when I come home.

Its hard to challege charges, most credit card companys allow you to dispute charges, but that $50 max fraud payment for most credit cards is only applicable in the USA, so your results may vary if you become a victim.

Theres different transaction/conversion charges depend on card/bank. Dan's 1% I found is darn low. Some of my cards charge 4% surcharge and I don't use them here. Some KTV have problems processing foreign cards, depends on their scanner/banking partner.

I think if you get familar with China notes using local money market shops is ok as long as you check your notes before you leave.

Keep valuables in the hotel safe. Avoid wearing expensive/appear expensive jewelary.

If you get hit by crime, don't fight them and just give them what you have. I've heard of people getting killed because he had too little money to make the robbery worth while (look they are criminals, so logic may not be their forte). What they will do is hold you somewhere and milk you atm/credit cards dry becuase of the daily limits on withdrawals. They will also go into your residencial area and take you laptop and valuables, but this is unlikely if you are staying in a hotel. If they contact friends family and hold you for randsom, I think SOP is not to even bother because they will milk you forever. They usually leave locals who don't resist alive, because they steal the persons ID (with home address) and threaten harm to their families if the victim goes to the police. If you are a foreign I'm not really sure what they will use as leverage.

I want to chime in a bit about the credit cards used in Asia. First off, I've looked into this quite a bit and the only transaction free credit card I know of is "Capital One. " I've looked into it and they do not charge an international credit card transaction fee.

Now be aware, that I'm not 100% sure if their exchange rates are up to par with other banks, but the 3% or 4% is a killer with citibank and others I've tried to use before. The last times I used in the PI and China, I got pretty good rates, so I stick to my capital one card as my "foreign" card of choice.

While we're on the topic, the best mileage card out there (and by best, I mean in the sense that it has the most international airlines attached to it and has great flexibility) has got to be the Starwood Preferred Guest Card by American Express. The reason why it's so good for me is that I can't earn extra miles on Cathay Pacific unless I have an account in Hong Kong or other asian countries. However, with the starwood card, I can xfer my points to cathay miles in a one to one ratio. One dollar = one mile.

Its' the only card that has this benefit and flexibility. You can even buy miles for about 3. 5 cents per mile. So if you're into flying business and first class, you can end up paying for miles and getting business class seats for a fraction of what you'the pay for retail (mind you it's still very expensive).

I know it's a bit off topic, but I fly from LAX to HKG on Cathay all the time, and when you fly two rt's, you can sign up for the Marco Polo Club, which essentially gives you lounge access even if you fly coach. It's a cool luxury to have when you pay $800 for a RT to Hong Kong and still get to sip and eat the business food before heading onto the plane.

So we all agree its not really safe to travel with alot of cash and that traveller checks are a nightmare here.

Credit cards are bad because of the fraud, its so easy because they have protable card scanners, they can scan/clone your card on the way to the front desk. They are small enough to fit under an apron of the waiteresses.

Its hard to challege charges, most credit card companys allow you to dispute charges, but that $50 max fraud payment for most credit cards is only applicable in the USA, so your results may vary if you become a victim.

Theres different transaction/conversion charges depend on card/bank. Dan's 1% I found is darn low. Some of my cards charge 4% surcharge and I don't use them here. Some KTV have problems processing foreign cards, depends on their scanner/banking partner.

I think if you get familar with China notes using local money market shops is ok as long as you check your notes before you leave.

Keep valuables in the hotel safe. Avoid wearing expensive/appear expensive jewelary.

If you get hit by crime, don't fight them and just give them what you have. I've heard of people getting killed because he had too little money to make the robbery worth while (look they are criminals, so logic may not be their forte). What they will do is hold you somewhere and milk you atm/credit cards dry becuase of the daily limits on withdrawals. They will also go into your residencial area and take you laptop and valuables, but this is unlikely if you are staying in a hotel. If they contact friends family and hold you for randsom, I think SOP is not to even bother because they will milk you forever. They usually leave locals who don't resist alive, because they steal the persons ID (with home address) and threaten harm to their families if the victim goes to the police. If you are a foreign I'm not really sure what they will use as leverage.

With cash, the criminals know what everyone is here for, but don't be an idiot and take out a stack of bills to pay cab/food/etc. Be low key and don't tempt them with your relative wealth.

BoA is partners with Construction bank. I find it to be the most cost effective way to pull money from atm here.

Moody: Thats some really good KTV advice. Different areas really do make alot of difference. Also good to know how the rotations work. Crown Prince has a mommy/bookie serves as gatekeeper to all the other teams, [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) off the mommy and she may pass you fuglies forever. Jaiyi I think run off a bookie as well as area/floor level system. Other KTV run off of first-come first serve so theres a mad rush to the door when the KJ gives the signal.

Service is really slipping because of the client volume, but I really get annoyed when its like the girls are picking the guys they want to hang with. i would predict, and most of us would agree, as it gets closer to the olympics next year, there will be more crack-downs and closing of places. the gov't usually does something during holidays, conventions or major events. the olympics is a major national event. i recall reading they even closed some ktv’s and saunas in cp last year or the year before just before chinese new year. i believe one time, a big shot party official came down to southern china and there was a clean up. the major serious crack-downs will start just a few weeks before the olympics but this is just my guess.

the crack-down will be lot worst in the north like beijing and shanghai. china does not want the world to see the negative side of china. i also predict, there will be tons of newbies asking questions about china then. i would also guess most things like hotels and girls will go up in price in big cities like beijing and shanghai. for southern china, i don't think it will be effect as much in terms of price for hotels and for girls.

So the town next to CP turned out to be Hengli Town (? ). If you drive past the penisula hotel in CP you end up in this township. In the oldtown area, theres a large bbs setup where play is set at 30rmb. As board readers know, theres a crackdown in affect, so I wasnt able to see this in full effect. But I've seen the bits and pieces that were operating and its not that far from CP to make a 10min run on car hire. If any seniors here know any more info, please feel free to post. The entrances are in the allyway across the street from MX on? Road. I was only there during the day, and all you need to do is follow the crowd of locals; even on a bad day there were alot of people about during the daytime.

The guys settled on a place and we parked. I've attached the business card of the Sauna. It was huge! I was amazed that there were dozens & dozens of cars in the carpark. I'd had no idea of the scale of what went on here.
Entering the changing rooms, I was faced with dozens of men is various states of undress. Penises everywhere. Attendents (young lads) were helping men undress! All eyes, of course, were on me as the sole foreigner. I got my kit off with my back to everone, & my discomfort seemed to give them all a laugh. My gear was put in a locker, I was handed a gown and then had a shower. Then we were led to a place & told to wait. Soon, about 10 ladies were paraded infront of us. I must agree with you on the "heaven" part. The sauna girls are pros with awesome service. I had 2 fro Miraton my last trip. Even my friends said that the sauna girls are the best providers. If you are staying at the Miraton and do it in your own hotel room, the total cost is 400 rmb.

Actually in respond to your SMS on this topic last evening; I said possible!

Your maths only take into consideration what they suppose to make base a customer to provider basis. You did not take into consideration that there are many men (their customers) who over paid, ignorance customer who gave huge tips, and finally if they are stupid guy's mistress who might pay them 3000 - 10,000 per month! That also add up to the total sum of what they can earn per month.

Of course for a girl to make that kind of money she got to be fucking clever! However there are a lot of clever people in China, and they are fucking lazy which make them top of the line in money making. In Shanghai, we call them "Gold Diggers!"

It sounds more like you offered to keep her and she gave you an excuse why she was doing it so she did not seem to be a bad girl (meaning she was a lazy ***** who did not actually want to work a normal job) and quoted some over the top figure thinking with a healthy discount she was still making out like a bandit.

Top gals at BBSs can do up to 10 a day, but they would have to real hotties. If your gal is average, even taking into account she may work 16 hours on call in the van, CP is not busy every day of the week and there is also time off for the monthly nosebleed to think of. I think SZ, is thinking inline with CP BBS girls, in general I agree with his calculations for CP BBS girls;

1) They don't get customers every day.
2) there are only max; 25 working days per month, unless they do not bleed.
3) I have yet to meet a BBS girl in CP that is a fucking machine that will do at least 2 customer a day, every working day.

But, as I said, it is not impossible for them to make that kind of money as a CP BBS girl. Just as long as they are smart enough to play with the mind of men.

Just returned from a lone 3day session from Dongguan Changping.

Arrived at Donguan train station from GuangzhouEast station and Then took a bus back Changping stop at Virgin Hotel at 5 pm.
The yellow coloured city bus costs 2yuan per trip.
There are many buses going to Virgin area no. 2, 7 etc
Just in case anyone wants to take this bus it's just 100m when you come out from the Dongguan train station, but you must make sure you board the correct bus that leaves to Virgin Hotel or you will end up going through a big loop as this is a 2 way stopping point.


All mummies are asking 200 ST for 3 hours (100upfront 100 to the girl), and some giving hard time when you try to leave without taking a girl.

But to answer your question, it is funny comparing Asia to Hawaii-USA. The sex and touching part in Hawaii-USA is expensive, while the watching nude ladies dance around is cheap. It is the total opposite in Asia, the dancing around nude is expensive, while the sex is cheap. Just a thing I realized in Vietnam and in China.

One question that members had asked me:

Do the girls pay a fee to work in BBS, Sauna, Foot Massage, KTV etc?

While talking to the Foot massage girls at Walter hotel; they told me that they pay a training and uniform fees of around 650 - 780 when they started work in the Foot massage. This serve the basic requirements for them to work in Walter Hotel Foot massage. This is non refundable.

The girls in most CP KTV pays between 1500 - 3000 RMB as deposit for their Uniforms and as a guarantee before they are allowed to work in the KTV. Between 500 - 700 that goes to the payment for their Uniform are non-refundable.

Girls in Saunas in CP pays between 1000 - 3000 RMB for training and Uniform before they are allowed to work there. This is normally non-refundable.

BBS girls do not pay any deposit or up front money to work in the BBS. But however, sometimes when the girls had just came to work from their village; they may not have a place to stay or any money to buy cosmetics, clothing etc. They are given loans from the mummies or the BBS shop owner to buy the basic necessities or to pay the first month's rent. This amount will be pay back when they make their money at the BBSs.

However for all of the cases above, it is often that back in their village, the girls or their family may had taken a loan or owe someone money. In return they had been told to work in CP to pay back these loan or amount owing (most often telling them that they will work in factory). These stories are often heard but we had often pushed it aside saying that they are just BS. However I believe some of these stories happens in real life.

Quite a drastic difference in price wouldn't you say?

CP rocks!

Enjoyed meeting many of you mongers and especially old friend Moody and new friend AG and 3 more gents (not sure about their msg board names).

Two back to back nights of partying at CP (AKA Central Pussy?) left me worn out with take out girl action, 2 KTVs (forgot names) and early morning stop over at BBS. Moody and I ventured out to SZ KTV on the 3rd night and his date turned out to be awesome singer.

I took out a KTV girl from CP Sat night. Paid 950 RMB including taxi ride back to CP from SZ for short time to a 17 yr old girl with little expereince in bed. I think her cherry got popped recently and was not a good lay. Yeah yeah paid too much... I took out another KTV girl in SZ Mon night kind a pricey at 1200 RMB for overnight action but she was nice to be around as I was with her in 3 1/2 months ago.

Although Taipei is boring, there are still some places for fun, read the many posting on Taipei thread (including mine). Penang too has it places and not to mention across the Thai border in Haiyai!

Well on the pricing of girls to be bought out from their work: I guess it varies from girl to girl. I was in Sandy's BBS the other day and mama FeiFei was trying to sell me a Virgin for 6000. I was laughing and replying her: "Why would I want a virgin? It is all work and no fun and besides, 6000 for a virgin? I can get it for half the price in CP for at 3000!" She went on to tell me and showed me the virgin girls saying: "Look at her, so pure, pretty, beautiful body....blah blah blah..." I must admit she is indeed pretty. Fei Fei and Sandy both told me that the selling price for virgins greatly depends on the girl themselves because some are prettier; some are just ordinary factory girls. IMHO: it also depends on how desperate is the girl in for money. Like the foot massage girl Mo. 62 and assistant mummy; both I broke in a while back, they never ask for any money, although the assistant mummy was going around naming the price of 50,000! I just looked at the hotel bills from CP hotel for last month, it total up to 3,542RMB For that amount if it is going to continues, I am better off renting a Shag Pad in CP. I will take that into consideration.
