The best condom in the market for my taste is the Sagami 0.02. It is available in HK in many convenience stores.
They recently even have a large version, but difficult to get. And very expensive (134 HK$/12).

Went up to the catacombs yesterday. Felt like walking in a Chinese village with the exception that there are girls sitting outside every house. The houses are only one room and in totally filthy condition. They seem more like dungeons with beds.

The Catacombs is basically a place where those looking for an under-market situation are asking for trouble. There are so many scenarios where things can go totally, totally wrong. And if they do, who do you turn to then? Catacombs are like a village with its own rulers. They are very well connected with law enforcement, which allow them to stay in operation.
For all those going to the catacombs: be careful of your personal safety! Definitely won't be returning ever.

I will have to say that some of us Senior Members who know this area of town, have reported to never go in that area alone. If you want to walk through a traditional area of town, I am sure there are much safer places.
If you are so inclined to go there again, take backup with you, even if you are Asian, you ain't local and they know that.
We have also reported not to do the Night Market solo either, CP is just not that safe for a lone wolf monger.

Well, the sauna is quite alive and well! Only open at night; officially from 22:00 to 2:00, but I can confirm that you can walk out around 3:00...:) Don't know about the opening time!
Standard setup, get some clothes (I'm 185 cm and 125 kg, so I get a robe, not the usual pajamas that don't even come CLOSE to fitting!), 268 RMB for the room, my young thing (#132 from Xian) wanted 400 RMB. Fire and ice, AR, CBJ, and all the positions you can handle for around 70 minutes. I think if you've been to one sauna in China, you've essentially been to them all. The decor - on the walls and strutting the halls - changes, but the actual process is cookie-cutter.

We just stuck to the BBS and KTVs. Even the BBS are alittle scary if you are going solo for the first time. It's actually more like $5 than $15... I'm just curious how a chinese gal manages to push you into her room against your will...

About a year ago, a group of mongers, Americans, Brit of which there was one American Chinese made a day tour of the Catacombs.
One of the group the ABC, got diverted into a room by one of the girls and she locked him in too.
It was pitched dark in there and he was terrified but managed to get out somehow after protesting his disinterest in English mixed with some rudimentary Chinese.
Later, he said, its too dark in there to be safe cos anything could have happened. He said, "never again" for him.
I personally made a visit with another American monger and both of us did not partake. Knowing what happened to the guy mentioned above, I told him very specifically not to visit alone and if wanting to partake to ensure there was a wingman waiting outside!
He went back alone the next day to sample the goods and thankfully returned safely.

First, I want to give credit where credit is due. Johnnykon666 coined the phrase, "The Catacombs".
I've been there many times, but only did a girl once just for the experience. A lot of mongers are curious and ask me to show them around the area.
I was talking with one of the "managers", might have one of the black pants guys, and he gave me a guided tour once. These guys hang in front of the shop with a pool table just as you enter the area. If you go overtime (>20 minutes), these guys will pound on the door.
Frankly, I have never felt uneasy there. I have found myself alone on several occasions waiting for a fellow monger to do the deed. I just walk around and joke with the girls. One time a girl took me in her room just to see how big I was, but did not try to keep me inside.

Do tell. I don't doubt that the mommies know who the mongers are... but even though we're asian and we stand out, our group has never really been "harassed" by mommies to the point where they track us down.

I have taken newbies on tours of the Catacomb. It's not dangerous if you do it doing the daytime. When I was there last June, at about 3 p.m., there was about 15 WG out, about maybe 2 were OK to do. Most were 18 to 21. Very few older ones. One did block our way in the tight alley but we managed to get around her.
I do not recommend going there at night. The streets' pavement are uneven and in the near dark, you can hurt yourself stepping on the wrong spot.
For the price of 30RMB for 20 minutes with no BJ, it's worth a try. Just once.

I've even resorted to using false bottom items to keep my stash. While the hotel staff is pretty honest about stuff, and do end up tipping my maids a little bit while they clean up my slop and deliver an endless supply of towels, toothbrushes, shower caps and the sort, you don't want to tempt them. I mean, a 10 RMB Bill goes a long way to a maid, BUT flash a few hundred and that's almost as much as they make for a week of work.
I keep a stash in the safe to make someone who breaks in think they got it all, and then keep my main stash in hidden compartments. So far so good, but hey, if someone really wanted to rip me off and had enough time, they could clean me out.
that's why I rely heavily on ATM cards while I'm abroad, have enough cash that would get me out of the country, but which would not hurt too bad if I got it stolen.
I'm more concerned about my laptop than anything else. I recently bought a lock for it. Most of the time, I leave it in my hotel, for the taking so to speak, never had ANY problems.
But as I've cautioned before, keep your quick valuables at least in the closet or out of sight when you have "company" over. A quick trip to the shower and there goes a phone.
If you do some basic things like keeping it in your bag and keeping your bag in your closet, you're pretty much going to be safe. I don't leave girls in my room "unattended" if at all possible.

i always felt i was being watched even before i went to china for the first time in 2004. i spent about 2 years prior to my first trip talking with chinese women on yahoo. during that time , i heard, read or saw on tv that china had about 50,000 agents watching computer activity. i took that number with a grain of salt because i don't think anyone can believe the numbers that come out of china or the west about china. i figure the number of computer watcher could be 5 x the above number.
my feelings about the above? i really don't care and i also don't think the chinese govt could care less about the dating , sex talk , sex video, marriage , the visits to china , the women begging us to marry them and get them out of china and most important the dollars we bring to china. if they did care cpe , they would shut your dating and marriage business down in a minute. you have a few times spoken openly about your biz , so i don't divulge any info about you that you should oppose. we all only wish you luck and the chinese govt hopes you and the rest of us keep those dollar coming.

Catacombs are fine to tour during the day, but the selection is not as good as most all are sleeping. I did a walk through at night a few weeks ago with another monger and found they were tearing down some buildings and building new ones and we only saw 2 girls the whole time.

That's a good point.. although I don't carry my ATM card around with me... just when I need the cash. But luckily haven't met those elements yet. I travel in packs, so I seldom put myself in those type of situations.. and usually I'm in the heavily populated areas...
One thing the Banks should come up with, is to allow us to put in a FAKE EMERGENCY PIN, which allows us to notify of a harmful situation. i.e. when the bank gets that, it'll spit out a little bit of cash (say $20-$40), and then lock the card from further withdrawals, until unlocked by the owner through a phone call, etc...
That'd be really smart if some bank thought of that and protected its users from unauthorized or "dangerous" use...
I could easily convince someone that my bank account didn't have much left, pull out what little was left, and let me go...
Can't be that hard to implement... could it?

People who don't think this is true in China are naive. Back in the early days - 80's in some cities, early 90's in others - you could not leave your hotel unless with your host, or you were followed or prevented from leaving your hotel. While the level of oversight has decreased substantially, it is still around.
China has so many USA Dollars , I heard on TV that they could bring the USA to its knees if they sold all the Dollars that they hold. Seeing that I don't understand the money markets and how it works , I will say no more. But if this is true, China can win WW III without firing a shot.There's some truth to that. China holds conservatively est. 1.3 trillion dollars in Treasury, which is a IOU paper from the US and if China dumps that in the open market, it will halt our ability to sell more debt, crash our currency, and pretty much bring our markets to its knees. The only good thing is that it would make exports cheaper and China goods more expensive to import, it's a double edge sword and China is dependent on their exports as much as we're depending on them on continuing to buy our debt (Treasure bonds).

One thing the Banks should come up with, is to allow us to put in a FAKE EMERGENCY PIN, which allows us to notify of a harmful situation. i.e. when the bank gets that, it'll spit out a little bit of cash (say $20-$40), and then lock the card from further withdrawals, until unlocked by the owner through a phone call, etc...
That'd be really smart if some bank thought of that and protected its users from unauthorized or "dangerous" use...
I could easily convince someone that my bank account didn't have much left, pull out what little was left, and let me go...

Started with a footie at the Hui Mei, other mongers reported a case of "Pink Eye" there, but after speaking to the manager, it was a trainer who had contracted it and gave it to another girl. Both were sent to the hospital and home, all was fine with the footie.

However, I suspect that the prettiest birds would have already flown at a BBS. I think your best bet at that time will be a hotel sauna, since a sauna customer never occupies a girl all night, you may find a pretty thing all the way to 3 a. M. Pricing is around RMB 550 for a 90-minute session. Perhaps your best bet is the infamous Virgin Hotel sauna, the next in-line would be Hui Hua's sauna.
I would love to take you to a few KTVs on Sept. 16th and 17th.
KTVs have a minimum consumption limit that vary depending on the room size. A 10% surcharge is added for Friday and Saturday nights.
Surely some brothers out there will be opting for a cheaper option, which is plentiful in CP (Fridays and Saturdays are tough). However, my view is that if you travel thousands of miles to get here and only stay for a few days, you owe it to yourself to enjoy the absolute best this town has to offer, which is still under US$70.

IMHO, the best place at 10-11PM is the night market. ST is 150 and LT 300-400 depending on the time. The BBS there are in full swing into the wee hours. Althought the average is probably 6-7, I have seen some 8+ quality there.

I did a stopover in CP on my way home this week. Since I was not staying overnight, I did a girl from the Swan Lake based on the mama recommendation of the best BBBJ. She was just average, but at least she was not a spitter. They usually have a ST room rate at Swan Lake of only 50RMB, but being a Friday night, all rooms were full. For all new guys coming to CP, take heed to OAH's last paragraph, it is the gospel. If you think this is some disorganized "riff-raff" you are dealing with guess again! If you think you are not being watched, guess what, you are.
If you treat a girl badly, or do some lame shit like pull off the condom before entry or force a girl to BB, the mommy will find out. As OAH said, if you are a regular here and you get bad service, then complain to the mommy, she does not want to lose a regular who also brings in other clients.
If you are just a "fly in, fly out" type monger, it is best to take recommendations from others on this board (it is the reason I personally post reports about each girl I screw, not just bragging), or try to monger with a regular if possible.

There are 2 bus service I know of from Kowloon at Mongkok area across form the china travel serivce take 2hr 30 min but only 4 time a day and Tsim sha tsui behind BP international house at Austin rd I think also a few a day but you take the train to Lo wu border and take the train to dongguan station that Changping or take the bus to LI hua lo hotel near Hui Mei hotel.

I guess the other option for a KTV quality gal is to "keep her," that may involve 5000 RMB to 10000 RMB per month from what I've heard. That's what some of the gals told me, but I don't know if it's the truth or not.
In general, KTV is fun, as CPE said for short time mongers like me. I like it because of the variety. Where else are you going to see about 500 women at once with your pick of the litter???
It IS an expensive trip when it comes down to it, but china, unlike any other country in my opinion is five star when it comes to the surroundings, and atmosphere. I've mongered in Thailand, PI, South America, and the US, and compared to the US where I live, the $100 per night plus the incidentals for drinking and partying is small. In comparison to other mongering destinations, there's really no comprable arena.
If you think China is expensive, do your research on Japan and Korea... I know in comparison to other south asian countries it's more expensive, but the environment and quality are hit and miss... I'd rather go for the sure thing in China where the selection is plentiful and I'm living like a King for my $200 per day...
For 10-14 days, that has been my choice every year.
My buddies and I had the option of doing PI (Angeles and Beach resorts) again and opted for China because the pussy there is better in our opinions... my friend's don't even speak mandarin like I do and they prefer china, if that's saying anything. While PI is a great destination (more to do, water, scuba, dirt biking), nothing beats a nice KTV at 7:00 p.m. with the lineup like Jia Yi... the service, the glitz, the glamour.
I want to go back!!! and will be back soon. Hope to see you all there so we can swap war stories. I've got plenty of them and pictures to prove them! hahaha... my buddies go mongering at least once or twice a year and we envy all you f***ers who live out there and do it full time!

It's not only China but anywhere in the world!
I live in Bangkok and I don't monger everyday even though it's just a short walk away from where I live or a phone call to the regular ones I like to repeat.
A monger has choices just like we have choices when we eat.
Most of us have an economy meal most of the time and, treat ourselves to a nice restaurant meal once in a while. BTW, the best meal is not always served with the best ambiance!
With mongering, it would be the same thing. You have an economy fuck more often and go out to enjoy the best when you feel like splashing out without hurting!
If your income is stupendously large or already very wealthy, then, you can indulge everytime with the best without hurting your financial standing.
That said, I have hardly heard of a monger whose ability to earn good income not affected and badly distracted to the point of disaster.
To be fair to KTVs in Chang Ping, if you compare them with Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Macau, HK and all the other major Asian destinations where you have them, IT'S CHEAP so, if you like them, and are visiting, it's a SIN to miss the opportunity! Besides being comparably cheap, the quality in the top places in CP does produce many GEMS with good GFE etc at much less than the other places I have listed.
As for the "English Corner" and other freebies, as my Pattaya based monger says to me,

Called mamasan from Golden Lake hotel, Tangxia. Delivered a petite 9, high heels and dressed in hot pants and t shirt. I liked what I saw. Shower revealed excellent skin, great body. I did her over about 40 minutes and it was good. Showered and ready to leave. I gave her 200, which I usually do to those who give good service. She was obviously happy and gave me a kiss (that is very unusual). Well, dee dee rose again (viagra) and off came the clothes, this time with some urgency. We f***ed for another 30 minutes until I dumped another small load into her mouth. I decided to keep her overnight. Call mamasan and that will be another 300 RMB. I staggered to my golf game the next morning after having been woken up 3 times to f*** her.
Not often the demand for more action comes from the hooker.
What mode of transportation is available to get to CP or to Hui Hua hotel from HK? Are trains available or do I have to take a coach? Furthermore, how long does it takes for a one-way trip?
Should I reserve a room via travel agencies in HK if I'm heading to CP during the weekend or can I simply walkin and request a room once I got there?

If you're booking a room in advance at Hui Hua (HH) and your Putonghua is comprehendable then call them at +86-769-8393-8888 to book a room. 5 min after the train starts moving, you can call HH to let them know that you will be staying at the hotel and to please send the hotel's courtesy van in about and hour to pick you up at the train station. (55min train ride, 10min to clear customs, 5 min to walk outside the station) If you have a mobile number from China then it's also a good idea to give it to them so the front desk can give it to the driver in case you can't easily spot the HH van.
If the HH hotel van is not available then you can take a taxi to HH. The fare is about 15rmb. There are many private cars that act as taxis but I will not get into one unless I know the driver or it came referred by someone I know.
The taxi ride to HH should not take longer than 15min unless you're stuck in traffic. If the (moving) taxi ride is taking longer than 15min then start praying that you're not going to be driven to a secluded part of town to be robbed, hence I don't get into car with drivers that are not referred to by someone I know.

Anyone up for hitting the KTV in groups? I have always done the CP KTV in packs with my buddies - too bad they bailed on me this time around.
I speak fluent Chinese and know all the CP KTVs well. I will be staying until the September 16th so if any bro would like to join me, please PM me with your contact info.
I was hoping to revisit Jia Yi, Hui Hua, Penisular, New World, Red Lion, Hui Mei, Walter, and even the under utilized Meriton KTV in the next 7-8 days. I have also taken a 30rmb taxi rate to Huang Jiang to visit the Prince Hotel KTV - it was nothing special on the night I visited, but I hear enough good things from my buddies that I wouldn't mind a repeat visit.
Also on the agenda is the relatively new Di Hao in Dalang, another 35 rmb taxi ride away from CP. I have never been there but am curious to find out whether the higher prices there really translate into higher quality.

I was at Di Hao (DH www.royalgardenhotel.com. Cn) on a recon mission about 2 months ago. The hotel decor and rooms were up there if not better than Crown Prince. The see thru shower is a nice touch. The sauna session is about 900 rmb for 90min (+20min cleaning phase) with the bigger treatment room. Luckily I had a beautiful (8) and highly skill (8. 5) technician for my session. The KVT MeiMei (MM) rate is 3-8-10. To tell you the truth, I did not notice the quality of the stock to be any better than Crown Prince, HH, Jian Yi, Penninsula. I actually saw a few girls that used to be at HH before so it did not feel right to be paying 3-8-10 for someone that I could have had for 2-5-8 just 3 months earlier. Perhaps it was an off night when I went. The next day, I cut my stay at DH and went back to the familiar buffet at Crown Prince.
Another very good alternative to DH (hotel cost, quality and ambiance) would be the Goodview Hotel in Tangxia http://www.goodviewhotel.com/english/main. Htm. I have never found anything I liked at the sauna there (DH rates) but the KTV is something else. They have the "Model" teams 5-10-15, the "Special" teams 3-8-10 and an abundance of 2-5-8 to chose from.

I've been to CP a couple of times before, but don't know it very well. Usually I hang out with my business partner. He likes the Hui Hua KTV.- and golf, in case you play.
My business partner is from Taiwan, I'm from Texas. He'the probably enjoy meeting you and hearing about the ISG insider scene. I guess a lot of the Hong Kong and Taiwanese are onto CP.
If you don't get any better offers, please join us. Don't know if this matters to you, but since I'm his customer, he picks up the tab on the KTV room when we go out.

First I wanna says thanks to Ras who willingly met with me in CP last Friday afternoon. I was delighted to meet the great OAH, Shanghai King, Ace Gallant and Sukhumvit. Also had the chance to briefly meet CPExpat and JimTraveller if I am not mistaken while having dinner at a Hunan restaurant.
Staying at the Miraton, I rated this hotel a 9 out of 10 from the minute I checked in till I checked out. Service with a smile and fruit plate delivered to your room while I was banging my first gal in CP. At the sign of the guest enjoying CP oyster in the room, they quietly put a note underneath the door to request me to call once I am available for them to re-deliver the fruits. I havent tried other hotels, but I am quite satisfied with Miraton.
As a newbie in CP, I just followed the pros hopping into a beat-up passenger wagon to Yalan. The minute we get off the van, we were swarmed by a number of mamasans. Like flies coming at you. Up we went. On the second floor and the mamasans were doing their best to pitch their gals. It's a bit overwhelming for a first-timer like me. While everyone else inspect the goods, from the first room, which must be like over 20 gals, a mamasan was trying to ply a gal to me. She will pull the gal close to me, open her bra to show the pick tits, rub the gal's hand on mine, asked the gal to call me "lao gong" and promise me the world. Meanwhile I was having a blast listening to OAH pointing to every other gal in the room saying that " I did her, I did her and I did her" Hahaha. It was hilarious. Since this is the first room, I refused to pick a gal, but the mamasan was relentless until we walked to the next room.
Raz is another character who knows what he wants, and saw his candy in room two. However he's not finished yet, so he picked the number of the gal he likes while I can totally confused by the selections available. We quickly moved on to the back alley to behind Yalan Hotel where there's a big tree and lots of gals too. Not happy with the choices, we moved on to a sundry shop where there's a stairway leading to pussies upstairs, and I bet any man who says that he's a superman will be pussy whipped here. While Raz zeroed in on his pick, the mamasan was trying to hook me up with the sister of Raz beauty. However I declined and decided to get a gal from the shop earlier. Out we go, and we went back to get my gal who's a Hunan cutie, and we sort of lost AG and OAH as we hurried back to our hotel to enjoy our new-found oysters. We agreed to meet for dinner around 8pm.

Next was dinner at a wonderful Hunan place. Good choice of restaurant by AG and OAH. These are the pros who knows the best food and oysters in town. Over dinner I also met Sukhumvit and a couple of other mongers. After dinner, we went to an excellent footire place where all the young Chinese gals flirted with AG in Japanese and Chinese with Raz and OAH. I have a nice snooze, feeling gd by the massage and footie. It's only like less than $50 for a 60 or 90 minutes footie and massage served with drinks and fruits.
After footie, OAH has to leave, and AG took all of us to the night market. The whole nine yards on both side of the street is exactly like a night market with rows and rows of gals with mamasan touting their goods. Some mongers drive by and pick whatever they want and left with the gal. I finally took a tall nice leggy Chongqing gal for $150. Gave the mamasan $50 and took my gal with me. We walked around until Raz found his gem and headed back to the hotel for the second round of oysters. This Chongqing gal was real innocent but real fun. The experience got better with the clothes off and she can ride like a cowgal. It's over in 10 minutes the way she rode the pony. Damn she's a rider. When I apid her $100, she told me it's only $62. The night market price is $112 for locals. I can't believe what a dumb ***** she was, but to be fair, she's real honest about it, and now I know what's the market rate for night market. I told her, she can have $100 because I do not have any change and thank her for her honesty.
After the 2 pops, Ras and me went out and met Sukhumvit who took us for some cooked oysters with chili and garlic and some beer. The food was pretty good and the beer gal was all too friendly to Sukhumvit. It's almost 3 in the morning, and CP is still alive and rocking. What a town. Then we called it a night.
The next day, I checked out, and before leaving at 3pm, decided to checked out the Miraton Sauna. As expected from reading the posts by others, the hostess brought me to a nice big room with its own suana, glass shower and huge king size bed. Nice room with TV and everything. Then there were 3 line.ups with lovely gals in nice blue uniforms like air stewardess. After just 2 line-ups I decided to pick a petite sweet gal from Hubei (No 106). She ordered me a watermelon juice, and gave me a back rub while we get to know each other. The proceeded to showering me, catbath and doing her tricks like a pro. After the shower, I went for sauna and when I step out, she had my slippers ready and towel. Then after another shower, she lay me down and offer me a drink and asked me to select from 2 service menu. Since I couldn't read any Chinese, I choose A, and the next thing I know, I was in heaven with her licks, balls sucking, blow-jobs and various tricks she was trained to pleasure the heck out of me. And she also did a two legs on the wall acrobatic move which reveals her beautiful oyster right smack on my face while she's trying to deep-throat me. I also found out from the hostess that one can rent a room frm the 9th floor for around $298 or $329 which is cheaper than the usual rooms rented out by the front desk. I do not know what's the arrangement but it seems that the 3 floors frm 6th to 9th were operated by the sauna. I paid $397 for the weekend rate at Miraton. No complaints at all, and to be it's well worth it.
Will be back for more. I must thank everyone for showing me CP. AG was the Shanghai King but apparently he also knows CP like the palm of his hand and generously share his knowledge. Cheers!

a $100 plus is a lot of money for a piece of ass in any Country , especially China. Seeing that many Chinese only make about $100 to $200 dollars a month. My guys that work in my shop can still get a BJ for $20 behind my store on pay day.
So I ASK , how much is the girl getting from this 800 RMB and how many other people are dipping into her pay? I hate paying commission and this is why I prefer to do the English corner and retail stores and other. Dan , you forgot the bill for the KTV room , drinks and all the other shit that goes along with KTV. The women are always hungry after you leave KTV , so don't forget the late night dinner.
A quick calculation in my head , this can run as much as $200 to $300 every night. Do this every night and this can run you $9 grand per month. Yes KTV can be fun , its always best to do KTV with many guys that you know like the CP gang. KTV serves it purpose but it can also drain your wallet.

Yeah, KTVs are expensive for China fun. And it is easier on the wallet if you go with 3 or 4 other guys and split the bill. Not only do you pay for the girls company, but they drink all your alcohol too. But it is like a mini party with girls that you can play with. And the best thing is that after the party, you can get some with the girl, guaranteed (you should ask in advance which girls can go out, around 95% of them can. They may not be able to because of their period or some lame excuse, ask up front). From experience, our total KTV bill (without girls fees) was close to 100usd per person for heavy drinkers/partiers. So expect to pay 100usd and 2-5- or 8 for the girl fees. If you know and book a room with a manager, mommy, supervisor, etc.. you may get comps for free food and/or beer . Try to stay away from booking with mommies, they will only send in girls from her "family" so you may not get to see all the girls. Managers are the best, I think they get commisions and will not hold back on any girls/mommies.

I saw the extra special girls, and they did not look so special at all. Maybe I never had my beer goggles on yet:) They sit in front of the elevator when you come down, they are sitting on a stage and are like mannequins.
Goodview, is one of the best KTVs. Girl selection is awesome, nice 4-star hotel/KTV, and prices were reasonable. Just far away from CP and in the middle of nowhere, 40 minutes by car.

$100 USD per person? Wow.. that's pretty crazy... we generally, with about 4 guys and 2 girls each, can only drink about $50 per person USD generally and that's with food, etc... Perhaps it's because we always go with the cheap wine with 7-up or Beer... we never go for the fancy stuff..
Although once, we did go for the Vodka at Jia Yi and mixed it with Redbull... that was pretty fun!

Spot On Tileman. This is the main reason I don't frequent KTV's or high end massage joints much and even slowed down on BBS takeout. I didn't come to China to be a poor man!
KTV's and High End Massages are great for those short time mongers, but can be a money pit for anyone who lives here or comes often. The prices reflected by Dan only show the cost of the girl and don't include the extras like room, booze, food, taxi and hotel (if your paying for it). Doing KTV/Massage every night requires a fat wallet and lots of stamina.

There are some bars and clubs available in CP. There is a nice bar across from the Miaraton, right across from the Miraton 7-11. It is on the 3rd floor and is called Modern Bar; American Bar is next to it. There is a live band, entertainment, and dance floor. The band is pretty good. Nice place to hang out and have a few beers. Bullshit dice is available too. There are drinking girls there to help get the party started and get you drinking more beers. You can bring a LT BBS girl there to party with if you want. A cheaper option than KTV. AG reported a new club across from the Walter Hotel.
But there are some clubs that should be avoided, because lots of locals and mafia frequent these. Senior members warned me to stay away from the club across the street from Jia Yi, pronounced Club Cindy.

Typically, for those of us who party hard and drink lots, we do average about 350 to 600 rmb a head for a long night which starts at 6.30pm and ends at around midnight or later. In some cases, if there is just two of us and we order a bottle of Scotch, the bill can come to about 850-900 rmb total for 2 incl of KJ and that is pretty reasonable IMHO.
This would be a share of expenses between anywhere from 3 to 8 mongers in a room with a bevy of women, lots of drinks, some food, fruits and the one lady drink that is part of some club's policy and KJ tip of 200 rmb. No tips for mamis nor others of course. Girl expenses of 200 /500/800 are no part of this bill.
Some of you may say thats a lot of money to throw for a night out but, if I recall what a typical share of bill in Singapore, HK, Macau, Malaysia, Korea or Japan would cost., then, this expense is pretty miniscule in my opinion.
In fact, in most of these countries, I DO NOT GO TO KTVS because those are the real bank breakers!
Of course, if you compare this with taking a BBS girl out to a small pub etc, its not the same thing because you are not comparing like with like.

To each his own and if I was getting paid in USD, I would probably do it more often!

So, if you are here 6 nights and do 2 of each (with friends for the KTV), the damage is around 4000 rmb, not including hotel, food, taxi, tips and extras. Thats about $525 USD a week just for girls x each month is $2100 USD a month (allowing you 6-7 days off a month to rest up), if I did this routine for an entire year, I would spend $25,200 USD a year on snatch.
Still quite a bargin, but for us that live here and/or frequent CP often, it's easier and cheaper to find freebies or foot massage girls now and then.

In August I went to the Jia Yi KTV. I was with two other guys, and let them handle all the ordering. In the room, there were 6 line-up girls (two each), 2 waitresses, and one mommy. We had lots of beer and some snacks.
The cost was 700 RMB for the party (7PM to midnight including all tips), 200 RMB for the girl I didn't take home, and 800 RMB for the LT. It was a great party - a night I will never forget. The party really began at 6:30 PM with the lineup and ended at 1PM when my girl left. So I spent 1700 RMB (US$230) for about 18 hours of incredible entertainment.
But I will continue to mix things up during my CP visits. I like to split it 1/3 of time KTV, 1/3 BBS, 1/3 massage.
Next time I would love to do a KTV where we can get the girls to strip and stay naked throughout the party...it seems this is rare but can be done if the price is right.

Cost varies for LT from 300-500 kwai, but you can get some even cheaper.

Flights - If I had to choose, I'd fly into CAN (Guangzhou), but because of the availability of flights and pricing, HK (Hong Kong) is always a viable option. There are just more hassles getting from HK to CP, since you have to essentially go through two sets of immigration (one in HK and another in China). And border crossings are usually a *****.
CAN - you go through immigration and you're using RMB to hop into a taxi to go to the train station or directly to CP. The trip from GZ to CP is about 45 minutes to an hour, and similar by train.
HK - has good options by bus or mini-van to take you RIGHT to your hotel of choice, so it's still easy to get there, but it involves more time.
In general, depends on your preferences, all things being equal, I'd fly into CAN, but since I'm a Cathay Pacific faithful, I always go via HK and just bear the extra time it takes to get across the border.
In terms of Hotels: My choice is Hui Hwa because I really like their KTV and how nice the rooms are.. but it is undoubtedly pricey compared to many other hotels... Others have stayed at Crowne Prince (it's too far)... and Miraton (looks nice and most mongers like it there)... I've also stayed at Hui Mei, which is one step down from Hui Hwa/Miraton, but still nice and clean (and cheaper). Lucky, is not my cup of tea, just because I'm usually in town for a vacation and I don't mind spending the extra $$ for the niceties that the higher end hotels have to offer.
Never stayed in Virgin or New Century or Walter, so others will have to chime in. i've also never stayed at Jia Yi or Versailles, but I think most hotels there are acceptable by western standards, some are just nicer than others.

From the East Guangzhou train station to CP, the journey itself is 35 minutes but you have to factor in travel time from the airport to the train station which could be a good 40 minutes by taxi or by coach (bus).
I prefer using Shenzhen airport if I was flying in directly to Southern China and the taxi ride from there to CP is only an hour thereabouts and cheaper at 150 to 200 rmb.

Hyatt Dongguan is situated in Song Shan Lake area, which is quite far from CP. The cheapest cab (private car) that I asked so far is 60rmb per trip from CP to Hyatt. Some asked for 100rmb. From the hotel to CP costs more because those cabs at the hotel wants more.
Thus I doubt the mummy will send girls to your hotel unless you are willing to come up with the pricey cab fare.
Do let me know how you resolve the cab situation. Much appreciated as I plan to stay there sometime Dec or next year too at this hotel.

For those of you lucky dudes finding yourselves in CP now, party on.
For those of thinking of coming in October. Well, think again.
The first week of October is the Chinese National Day holiday, one of those so-called "Golden Weeks" when the whole country seems to be on the move.planes, trains and automobiles will all be congested. CP may not be that badly affected though, because the Hong Kong residents, the main source of CP visitors, don't have the weeklong holiday. Still, you should expect higher than normal activities. Make your hotel bookings now.
October 15. 30 is Canton Fair season, expect to pay 10% more for hotels, and the rooms go fast. The whole town will be like a zoo (and you won't be the zookeeper). For that matter, Guangzhou and Shenzhen would be busy too. I remember watching with dismay when bus loads of Canton Fair attendees pulled up to the front steps of Hui Hua at 7pm. , destroying a view that was once picturesque with KTV girls in full battle gear going to work.
My dismay turned into despair when I walked into Kai Yin Ge. A little greenish coffee shop / restaurant opposite Hui Mei featuring a quiet, intimate decor along with pricey and lousy food. And found it filled with business-types talking on their cell phones and discussing contracts intently, as if oblivious to the goings-on of CP. Apparently I would have to line up even for lousy food. What is the world (in my book, with CP at its very centre) coming to?
I came to a decision.
I would leave the October CP to those poor saps who deserve it, and pay my pilgrimage to this place some other day. I turned around and March out in search of the next rogue taxi out of town. Until my innocent eyes fell upon yet another cutie pie bouncing around in the arms of yet another much-wrinkled old chap, as if in rhythm with his overflowing belly.
CP does have its merits. Even in October.
Yet for those of you who can help it, see you in November. Oh, Sweet November. Don't pinch me, dude, I am dreaming.

Flights - If I had to choose, I'd fly into CAN (Guangzhou), but because of the availability of flights and pricing, HK (Hong Kong) is always a viable option. There are just more hassles getting from HK to CP, since you have to essentially go through two sets of immigration (one in HK and another in China). And border crossings are usually a *****.
CAN - you go through immigration and you're using RMB to hop into a taxi to go to the train station or directly to CP. The trip from GZ to CP is about 45 minutes to an hour, and similar by train.
HK - has good options by bus or mini-van to take you RIGHT to your hotel of choice, so it's still easy to get there, but it involves more time.
In general, depends on your preferences, all things being equal, I'd fly into CAN, but since I'm a Cathay Pacific faithful, I always go via HK and just bear the extra time it takes to get across the border.
In terms of Hotels: My choice is Hui Hwa because I really like their KTV and how nice the rooms are.. but it is undoubtedly pricey compared to many other hotels... Others have stayed at Crowne Prince (it's too far)... and Miraton (looks nice and most mongers like it there)... I've also stayed at Hui Mei, which is one step down from Hui Hwa/Miraton, but still nice and clean (and cheaper). Lucky, is not my cup of tea, just because I'm usually in town for a vacation and I don't mind spending the extra $$ for the niceties that the higher end hotels have to offer.
Never stayed in Virgin or New Century or Walter, so others will have to chime in. i've also never stayed at Jia Yi or Versailles, but I think most hotels there are acceptable by western standards, some are just nicer than others.

I think it is more worry free for newbies to fly into HKIA, because the shuttle buses really direct you to the right buses at the border and you know you are going in the right direction. If you fly into Guongzhou, you need to either take a taxi or take the train. The taxi will be 400rmb, so if you are travelling in a group (2 or more), that be my recommendation. The train route goes like this:
taxi from CAN to train station is 100rmb (35 minutes)
train costs 50rmb (the wait was 2 hours for me:( ) (45 minutes)
then the taxi from train staion to hotel 20 rmb (10 minutes)

Miraton is ok, Hui Hua is much nicer, Walter is also ok as is the New Century and Hui Mei. I think many have stayed at the Miraton, so it is consider the Mongers Hotel. When I came to CP, before moving here, I prefered the Lucky Hotel at 199 rmb (corporate rate). If I wanted to do a massage or KTV there were within walking distance and I used the savings to get an extra piece of pussy.

I saw the Hui Hua rooms, pretty comparable (very similar) as the Miraton, but I feel the Miraton room is slightly better, not nicer, just better, because they have the glass wall for the shower, so that you can see into the room while you are taking a shower, making sure the girls not stealing your shit. But wtf, you should be taking a shower together :). Plus the Hui Hua does not have the shower head in the bath tub, which I like for a reason I dont want to mention :). Hui Hua is a newer and bigger hotel than the Miraton.
Walter Hotel, I never saw the rooms, but they are around 200rmb to 240rmb, if I remember correctly. The Amazon Hotel, is pretty cheap, same price as the Lucky, but kind of off the strip (10 minutes away by car) and in the middle of nowhere. But kind of close to Jia Yi and Club Xinde. But the rooms are way bigger than the Miraton rooms, like double the size, and for only 160 rmb, but this was my experience 5 years ago, when Amazon KTV was awesome. Plus, the bathroom has its own sauna/steam bath.

I have become very hooked on footies since moving to CP and get one almost every day. What better way to spend 35-45 rmb for 80 minutes of relaxation and chat with a pretty girl (hell, my putonghua has improved tenfold). You can also score a freebie/semi-freebie as well from these joints, by just buying her time out. Of course, buying her out does not promise sex, but odds are pretty good that if she allows you to buy her out, you can bang her (I'm batting 4 out of 5 with these girls) and to be honest, they are much more like a GFE experience.
Of the numerous places I have tried here in town I rack and stack the best 4 as follows (please forgive me for POI's as I cannot read Chinese):

Last trip in July, from CAN to CP, taxi was not metered, actually never even had a meter, and it was a van. We negotiated 400rmb. He actually drove us to another part of GZ to a place off the freeway, to a place where there were several taxis waiting on the side of a road. He was talking to them, asking them if they were willing to take us to CP for 200 rmb. And he finally found one. I know this, because the taxi gave the van guy 200 rmb, and we paid the taxi guy 400 once at the CP hotel.
I would not recomend this route, as we were scared that we were going to be hijacked. And we all never spoke the language, we were lucky that they were not bad people.
It felt like the trip took us 3 hours.

You can get the same thing at the Walter and other places. When you go to the Walter, go alone and ask for a private room with one chair and a massage table. Also, these rooms don't have the glass that allows the managers to look in.
With a footie girl, it's about how you treat them, not like a BBS where you can just go buy a girl. Footie girls need to be interested in you and you need to charm them. After a quick call to JOHNNY got directions to the PLACE which is in the alley ways behind the McDonalds across the street from the Miraton (look for a emply small red brick pitched roof structure). My newbie friend and I went there first at night then in the daytime. I guess it's worth a trip there for any serious monger coming to CP to have a look-see, but I personally would not partake in any of that. It's just a tad bit seedy, dirty, maybe even a bit dangerous and some of those girls look "wet behind the ears".

If you get a china mobile sim card and have over 100 rmb vaule on the phone card it all time even if you don't use for 6 month you can keep the same number and you can recharge 50 rmb or more at a time Shenzhen or Zhu Hai is a good city to get one cost is about 80 rmb with 100 rmb vaule on it and you can call anywhere even back to the US 5min call back to US is about 30 rmb.

Sorry I did not post for so long. I moved to the Lucky Hotel and did not have time to get the missing Cat 5 Internet wire. But it is located in the computer draw of the hotel, duh. Lucky hotel is not bad, but not spectacular. But it is in a better location than the Miraton and Hui Hua. It is 200 and 180rmb cheaper, respectively. So it is a pretty good deal. It’s about a 3 star while the Miraton and HH are 4 stars.
Anyways, the secret KTV I was talking about kind of went down a lot on talent, as the girls were not as pretty as I remembered, but the quantity is still overwhelming. Was so bad in talent, that 2 of us did not take any girls home. My 2 girls were only 5.5 in looks, and this was the best I could do. All the girls my friends had, I would not have brought home either, except 1, which was my friend’s freebie, she was smoking hot. And she is the stripper there, Well, not really a stripper, as she does not take her clothes off, but she gives you a hard on just watching her dance. I would not repeat as many of the BBS girls in CP are better looking. And the girls at this KTV sucked…….., not dick, just were not happy to be there. And he did not take commission. Very true guy and very friendly and funny guy. I think he is a newbie, because he is not too good with locations OR he is not familiar with the English pronunciations of names. Anyways, did not get the full blown experience of the NM, because my friend pulled a girl at the first shop, so we headed home. (150 rmb, 50 to mommy and 100 to girl……opposite of the BBS).

I'll be going over to HK for my friends wedding in September. I'm starting to plan a stag party for him and would like to ask memebers if they have any suggestions. Lion KTV is really cheap too (25 rmb for 1 beer, and get one free) , if you just go into the room area, not the bar, but the comfortable room with the same couches and tables as the regular KTV rooms. You can sing karaoke there and the system is good. The only problem is that you have to listen to strangers sing out of tune. It’s not crowded at all, that night there was only 1 other party there. In all the KTVs where they have a common performance hall you can opt just to sit in the main hall and there is a minimum per head charge. In the case of Jiayi (Taoyuan), it was around 250 rmb each. This is great when you have one or two of you only.

It is something like that. In the Hui Mei, the girls wear the badges lower thigh, means they are ok for take out. But when the badge is upper by breast side, it means red week. I guess the badge placement is very important.
At the Lion, the badge is , like you said, in the clevage for no take out. And it is actually red with smiley face on it.

It is no problem keeping your China phone number. I go to China every 6 months or so for the past 10 years and have kept the same phone number.
Right now my phone is good until Sept 2009. Every time you purchase 100rmb worth of time, your expiration time is extended by 6 months however you can only extend it for a maximum of (30 months I think) however when you recharge the next time, it will extend by 6 months again.
One thing to remember is that keep the password that comes with your sim card, this way if you lose your phone, you can recover your phone number.
I have lost (have stolen) my phone 3 times now and still kept the same number. Hope this helps.

I think they still work in the line ups, as they still can get the sit down fee. The badge placement is important, and if you want take out, you need to ask how the badge placement works in the KTV you are in.... Becasue I think all KTVs use different badge placement indicators.

Actually, I found out that travelling in the beginning and ending of this holiday is busy, but in the middle of the Holiday is not that bad. I hope that helps. But I think you will be ok because the Holiday starts Oct 1. So you will be travelling beforehand.
The night market is on the way to Yalan. It is directly (square) across from the small Hospital, down a narrow side street. There is a 7-11 wanna be shop there at the entrance of the side road.

The minimum is very cheap, like 2 or 3 beers, 50 to 75 rmb, respectively. You buy 1 beer and you get 1 free. We always go way over the minimum. We usually enjoy a lot of beer and it usually comes out to less than 200 rmb each person. That includes all the beers the girls drink too. Plus the default fruit platter, and all the extra little charges they tack on. And at these "lounges" there are servers (waiters/waitresses) that you do not need to tip. And it seems that they give you better service and are more attentive than DJs.
When we go to the KTV rooms, the charges per head is between 500 to 800 rmb. I hate the DJ fee, some of them are lazy but you still need to pay them the default rate.

My current expiry had been extended to 2009 already.

i'm a male in his early 20s currently working in dongguan, dongcheng and is quite familiar with the place around here. dont see much foreigners here, except in bars in jiubajie (bar st). is there anyone else here beside me?
so far, from what i've found out the bbs-es here costs about 120-130 a pop (even if you bring em out to your own place), and about 250-300 overnight. i've had a variety of experiences with this. at times, there's people who's really cold, but at other times if i try to be more cheerful and joke around with them, they can really warm up to ya, and give a sort of gfe.
there are tons of bbs-es rep001tered around in dongguan.
for bbs, usualy i have to pay upfront to the mama, before bringing the girl out.

I have been to Zhongshan and taken buses from 3 different long distance bus stations from that area. Zhongshan is a big place. There might be even a few more than just 3 stations. For Dongguan, where, it's a big place too.
To answer your question, most likely YES, but it might drop you off at the wrong end of town in Zhongshan. You need to ask what bus station in 中山; pinyin: Zhōngshān. The map below shows a few bus stations in Zhongshan. You have to find the icon for buses.

Have been in CP for a few days and decided to try the Miragton Sauna since it has been reported to be good.
Met Simon and was charged 518RMB even though staying in hotel.

I was in CP a few days ago and went to the Plutocrat Sauna. I read a review about the 'nurses' there, but when I arrived, I was not offered different prices of girls. Maybe it was because I showed up at 11:30 when they opened, since they only had 5 girls to choose from.
I chose a short (156 cm) busty girl from Sichuan. She told me it was her first day at work. I believed her since she was proud to show me all of the 22 different things that they are trained to do. Have been in CP for a few days and decided to try the Miragton Sauna since it has been reported to be good.
Met Simon and was charged 518RMB even though staying in hotel.

I am really surprised that all Simon could say was call him next time, I guess its my fault for expecting anything better from him.I "once" brought a Laowai out of the Matrix and into Dongguan. I did notice that a lot of the Meimei's were not "comfortable" around him. At the KTV they acted drunk or they told him they had their "Big Auntie" (period). During the morning debriefings, the Laowai was not getting anything close to what we were. As the week progressed, he lucked out and found a Meimei that could speak some English so his lucked improved.
I think they still work in the line ups, as they still can get the sit down fee. The badge placement is important, and if you want take out, you need to ask how the badge placement works in the KTV you are in. Becasue I think all KTVs use different badge placement indicators. Most KTV Meimei's work even if their "Dai yi mah" (Big Auntie. Period) comes for a week every month. The Mommy wants her girl to at least try to get the sit down fee. There is no stardard "sign: at KTVs to warn us that the Meimei is not available for take out. Some use the badge placement, some cross their hands together in front of their pussy some don't even let you know until you ask them out.
This is why I make full use of the "first 10 minute grace period" at the KTV.
1. I ask them if they are available to go out "ni fung ping ma? "
2. I ask them if they provide BBBJ "ni chui bu chui"? If she doesn't then I use it as an indicator that her service is going to be below par.
3. If I don't already know, I ask her who is her Mommy and which group is she in. This allows me to contact the Mommy if I run into any surprises once I am in my room.
4. If the Mommy is still there, I ask her how is her girl's service, is she open minded "ta cai fong ma"?
5. If it's a Mommy I am not familiar with, then I ask the girl to call her Mommey because I want to have a drink with her. I chat with the Mommy and tell her what my expectations are and if her girl's going to be able to provide the service I am looking for. The Meimei is there listening to my chat with the Mommy, so she is aware what her Mommy has promised me. The Mommy always say. "yeah I guarantee it or you don't have to pay her. " I say fine, I take the Mommy's card and make sure her mobile phone is on it. I tell the Mommy that if I run into any problems with the service from her girl that I will be calling her or waking her up.
With my protocol above, I have been able to minimize disappointment from Meimei's at the ktvs.

Hi there. I have the N95 and I made a post about it in the Shanghai thread as well as was going to make a posting in the shenzhen one as well. Tried the GPS in Shanghai it of course works but no native maps of China are loaded on the device. You may try the maploader application from Nokia.
In the same vein a member has started a google earth track of hot spots for shanghai. There is a GPS application for nokia do a google search 'nokia sports tracker'. It can track your movements via GPS and put out a google earth *. Kmz file. Possibly a way to put up some useful info for fellow mongerers. Just a thought.
Do you have any application for viewing Chinese characters on the N95?
Would appreciate some help on this: how far is CP from Shenzhen? I have to fly into shenzhen mid OCT and then go to Beihai for a day, will it be possible for me to do some mongering in CP then fly to Shanghai?

If your N95 does not natively support chinese characters. Then, no it wont work.
If your n95 is produced for the regions of china, singapore, hongkong dunno about taiwan. Then, all you need to do is to get your n95 to a nokia service centre in china to upload the map for you at 300rmb if I was not mistaken.
The map would be for the whole china. I myself own a n95, but due to long satellite locking time, I have since chosen the good old compass and maps. LOL.

Freshmen's minds are limited by the conversion rate of the Remminbi vs their own Matrix currency. Freshmen's classic mistake is that they keep on converting the Dongguan (DG) market prices into their own Matrix currency and they can't believe how "economical" things are compared to the Matrix they just arrived from. Freshmen under estimate the power (value) of the Remminbi (Rmb) in DG.
This is why I believe most Freshmen. Never make it on the First Jump; and they over pay the prevailing market rates. Freshmen think: "what is 10Rmb more for a cab fare? US$1. 40. Peanuts, what is another 50Rmb for tipping the Meimei? US$7. 00. Sure why not, it's like buying a drink for a girl at a bar back at the Matrix. 200Rmb more than the market rate? US$28, why not, I spent that much at the Matrix airport lounge waiting for my plane. " In the Freshmen's minds, they are not being "ripped-off" but actually getting an unbelievable deal because they keep on comparing prices in DG with their own Matrix currency.
I believe that it is the constant currency conversion to their own Matrix currency that prompts most Freshmen to over pay standard market rates. Freshmen keep on using their own Matrix as a reference point instead of using DG as their actual reference point. One way for Western Freshmen to break free from their Matrix is to stop doing currency convertions. Treat the Rmb at par. Would accept being over charged US$10 from a cab driver, Would really pay US$50 as a tip? Would you accept paying US$200 above what the guys ahead of you paid? Once Freshmen stop converting the Rmb and use DG as the actual and proper reference point then they will be free from the Matrix and realize they are a lot better off than before.
PS: By "Freshmen", I just don't mean the newbies or first year arrival into DG but all the non-local Sportsmen that keep on using their own Matrix reference point while in DG. I once was a Freshman too during my first Tour of Duty. When I returned 3 months later, I skipped the following semesters and became a sophomore;.)

Great observation, but it is written on ISG. Having said this, why do we even waste our time writing reports about where to go and what prices to pay if nobody is going to read or follow them.
If it is a freshman coming to DG unaware of ISG or WSG, then he has an excuse, but if he is a member of either of these sites, then it is his own selfishness and personal desires to do whatever he wants and pay whatever he likes.
I have heard; I am just one guy, how am I going to spoil the market? Well, here's your answer: One of us guys "In the Know" might pick the same girl you overpaid, she will expect the same. If price is discussed before sex, we will probably get inferior service, if discussed after the deed, and we stick to our guns, don't you think she will run back to the shop and tell the other girls we are not as generous?

Motorcycles have been outlawed in town. Major police crackdown on out of town vans too, new fleet of taxi's, going rate is 15 rmb, unless your lucky enough to find one that will actually turn on his meter.

I come over to China about 2 times per year now and I can understand some of the guys over paying since it is cheap compared to their home country. Some of the guys just give them more money because they feel sorry for the girls however you guys do need to think about the market and also how it is effecting the people who lives in China.
I know that 50-100rmb does not seem like a lot of money which I do agree that it is not a lot of money for guys who are only here for a couple of weeks but would you over pay 100 rmb per time if you are doing the girls 3 times per week 52 weeks per year and 20 years?
Some of the guys are thinking that "I am not really effecting the market because I am just one guy" however I have to tell you the way the Chinse girls think is that if one guy is paying me 100rmb more then so should the next guy.
What happens is that it ruins it for the next guy because she will ask for more money which is a real turn off for most of us.
If you want to do something nice for the girl, take her out and buy her something. Don't give her money directly.
Sorry to keep going on about this but I do know what OAH and other guys who are in China all the time are talking about. They have helped out a lot of us here with information and I for one don't think we should repay them back by messing up the market and therefore their fun with the girls. I am Just asking the new guys to think twice before giving that extra $. I will quitely disappear now.

Since Motorbikes are not available, a lot of the girls either take the bus or the meter taxis. Meter taxi starts at 6RMB and a trip from Miraton to Yalan is only startup fare of 6RMB. Although motorbikes are not available, there are still many "illegal" motorbike taxis around which we often see the girls using. They just do not wear the Vest.
The girls uses this excuse that Motorbike are not available to get more money out of you. Do not trust any girls or mummies!

It's ironic that China. Labeled as a "communist" country is so much more capitalistic in its market economy behavior than any western "capitalistic" country. Changes in prices are telegraphed to the market place as quickly as the commodity such as a Meimei can sms through her mobile phone.
I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to travel around the world. When I travel to a place, I know I am a "guest" in someone else's home and I have been taught to always show respect to my host. I assimilate myself as much as I can into my host's customs so I can better appreciate the local flavor and world diversities. I adopt my host's customs, drink the local poison, eat the local food and I don't purposely offend my host with blatant disrespect.
There are some "Tourists" who go to DG and China and they bring their "home" customs to China. One of these customs is TIPPING. Tipping is customary (and in some places almost mandatory) in the West. Tipping however is NOT customary nor expected in China. On my first Tour of Duty to DG, my host quickly brought this to my attention since he knew this was one of my first times into the mother land. I don't tip the bell boy, chambermaid, taxi driver or waitress and almost always they will refuse the "tip". Tipping a Meimei is another story. Since tipping is not a custom in China, a Tourist giving a "tip" to a Meimei is actually telegraphing to the market that a price increase can be tolerated. I have personally seen this at the ktvs where 2-5-8 was the Golden rate. Then the market came up with the Platinum rate of 3-8-10 for "special teams" or "manager's select". I didn't find anything special with them expect their rate. Then the market came up with the Diamond rate of 5-10-15 for "Model". I didn't find them model material; the only model I saw was an economic model where the supplier will push prices as high as the demand out there is willing to actually pay. It's this inflationary economic scenario which I see most local players becoming sensitive to. It has happen in the KTV senior market place and it will surely find its way to the BBS junior market.
I can understandable why resident sportsmen in DG are annoyed with freshmen, newbies or irregular players that insist on "tipping" beyond the established market rate. Yes, I agree; paying more than what the Meimeis EXPECTED to receive from the established market rates causes them to CHANGE their future expectations from the market (other customers). I also agree with a previous poster, having the Meimei ask for a "tip" after paying the established rate for the deed is a turn off. It's like having beggar kids asking for money; it spoils the aura.
Now I sense that there is a lot of negative chi coming from local player in DG about inflationary market forces coming from outside DG. While it's true that the likely culprits are Freshmen, it is also true that there are A LOT MORE Freshmen in DG than there are actual members or visitors to this forum. There is no reason to suspect that Freshmen who visit this forum are the actual culprits of this practice. Is there such evident behavior? If so then I concur with your disappointment with them, otherwise I don't feel Freshmen who visit or are members of this forum need to be targeted as the source of inflationary market pressures by overpaying or tipping Meimeis. Is it reasonable to believe that the Freshmen who obtain info from this forum are the actual culprits? Maybe the Freshmen who visit here are the converted.
What I am posting now may already have been written in ISG. I admit, I have not read through all 245 pages of postings in this forum. I have just been mainly doing a bit research on the latest DG scene during the past few weeks in anticipation of my upcoming Tour of Duty.

It was the BBS with 3 rooms next to each other, and it was the farthest left room that charged this price of 250rmb. I was mad and the girls did not want to leave. I'm not sure if it is a collaboration with all 3 rooms. Can anyone confirm?

Sorry about my earlier post on CP and beihai travel information, it was stupid of me to not to do the homework and post a more pointed question. I should be more specific. I know now, CP/Dongguan doesn't have an airport of its own. And beihai is not too close. Though my confusion earlier arose because the people from the beihai company told me its a short train ride from Shenzhen. On the map it looks a lot farther.
I'm coming into HK, Apparently there is a ferry into Dongguan Humen? (similar to the Sheku ferry) so no long customs lines. I'm confused as to where to go after after that, as to CP proper. From the RTFF Miraton looks good (should be a short cab ride? ), it has internet. But so does lucky and is close to the action. But I think Miraton would work for me. Though 'Dan Hawaii' moved to lucky, was it just to save bucks for mongering or any shortcomming by the Miraton?
I'll be there possibly OCT 15th to 17th. I need to go to Shanghai. From the RTFF I figure Shenzhen airport is closer? Since I will have more than a handcarry a taxi straight through would be expensive but most convienient.
I'll probably go to beihai on my return from Shanghai, possibly better that way. I've heard that island off the coast is a good mongering destination? I can't seem to find a specific thread for the city.
Do you expect a lot of Canton Fair mongerer spill over in CP? I am sure that would have an effect on prices.

The cops are much more active in town now and it started the day they stopped all motorbikes in the main areas. I sat at Starbucks for a few hours today and watched them pull motorbikes over that were carrying passengers.
The new taxi's are the same color as the new fleet of buses, bright yellow and green. Sometimes I can find one of those or the older taxi's that will meter, but it is not consistant and vans still want 15 rmb.
Last week I ran into a whole group of police that were checking business licenses and shutting down shops that could not produce one. On the street behind the Lucky Hotel, I counted 7 shops they shut down when I returned from doing my business.
For those of you who have been coming here for awhile, you will notice new traffic lights as well. Finally one at the intersection by the Hui Mei and another at the Yalan intersection.

i did stick to my guns. I even called the manager of the hotel to come and escort these fucking B.I.T.C.H.E.S out of there. He did nothing, he just stood there like a dumbass. I even called a ABC to come and explain the situation and he speaks perfect Mandarin. He even went back there to ask the mommy wtf was going on (he was in the area). She stuck to her guns and said the price is 250rmb. So I'am hopeing that a senior with some pull goes down there and speak their mind.
And I would wish to ban this fucking Yalan BBS, (the one with the 3 rooms, and only the one on the far left). They need to be taught a lesson.

The price behind Hui Mei was 150. Price at Yalan was also 150 but went up to 200. Now they want 250 :mad:

Personally, the Hui Mei area sucks ass now. You can still find a decent shot now and then, but on a good night, there is only 2-3 small shops open with a few girls in each shop.
The hotel behind the Hui Mei still has girls, but seems to be the same damn run-through ones there every time. MPV's are a good option and a few new mommies walking the curb in front of the Lucky Hotel area.
I was approached by some new mommies on the road beside the Hui Hwa Hotel the other night, did not go to look at their goods, but I suspect they are using the apartments back there that I reported about 5 months ago or the smaller hotel there. Sometimes you just need to be firm when they put up a fuss for extra money. Just ask them if you should call the mama to check. They will usually back down and leave in a huff.
Frankly, I have done around 5-6 girls in those shops and never had good service, although one did have short hot pants and high red boots one time. The mamas are always very pushy even chasing you outside with the girl in tow. I do go by and have a look, but rarely pull from that place anymore.

CP and Santa are absolutely right to insist on haggling and sticking to our guns and the established prices. Thanks to the old hands here for all the info and the clear price structure BTW. I have experienced in cambodia what unconscious wannabee mongers can do to a particular market. In a couple years prices for STs have shot up from $3-5 to 10, with some morons ruining the market by handing out $20 or more and boasting how cheap it is compared to home. Affordable travel will do that to a market after a while, alas.
CP is possibly the best place on the planet right now (well I'll have to see for myself in about a week but from where I stand the glass is half full) but it doesn't take long to ruin a good scene if you don't reign in excesses, boycott places like the one Dan H patronized, and mostly, let them know why. The main advantage of the Lucky seems to be 150 RMB less. The main advantage of the Mirathon is the nicer furnishings, the shower, the more elegant lobby, and the breakfast buffet? How are the furnishings at the Lucky?
rooms at lucky are smaller, the lights are dimmer, and there are some expensive condoms etc in the bathroom . furnishings are more antique looking. tv has less channels, and view is not as good.. Somthimes there are mommas with girls wandering upstairs at lucky.

there are always people that will rip you off in china. i have been to yalan many times, in fact i even stay at yalan hotel just so i can be close to the action and have never paid more than 200rmb. in fact, most of us don't even ask because that has always been the rate. i just think you got ripped off.
i think we should not take any girls from there but make sure the mamason knows why they are being punished by all the guys. we need to make an example of this by letting all the houses know that that we are not going to take this.
i believe if we stick together we can stop this otherwise other houses will increase their prices or worst, have different prices for different people.

we've all been in the situation where we had to pay a little more. what's good is you're sharing this info so we learn from your experience. i personally always, always ask first about price to make sure... believe me, it's from being hosed before, whether it's how much a drink costs, or how much the room fee is for something, i have been in situations where you get the bill and have to say "wtf."
even after not being back for a while at the ktv's i'll make sure with the girls what the pricing structure is like. (still 2-5-8??)
the tricky part is also the "15 minutes" of free sitting time in ktv's.. that's always a real questionable part for me... since nobody is "on the clock," you kind of have to do your interview early to see if you want to keep them.
i keep girls at ktv's for two reasons: 1) fun to party with and 2) fun to bang... obviously the 2nd one being more important...
i assess the fun to bang part by seeing if they're attentive, affectionate, or do they give the i'm just sitting here because i have to vibe... i think you can assess the chemistry pretty quickly...
then when i see chemistry, i'll do the interview... the "what time do you have to leave tomorrow?" the "will you be willing to come back to the room," etc...
after the interview and all things are a check, then i'll keep them... however, i always like pulling two at ktv's and watching them compete for my affection.. a little bit of the "bachelor" mentality where they still have to work for their keep.

then, if you are a newbie to mongering here, stay close to home (i.e. near your hotel), don't go venturing off into cp alone without being able to speak some of the language. don't freely go into any shop, let them open the door and you can quickly peek in to see if you like anything. going into a shop does you no good if you can't converse with the girls and just opens you up for the mommies high pressure sales tactics. flying solo is fine, you can get a girl around the main area of town, or from an mpv, for just 150 rmb, don't budge from this and just walk away from the mommy if she refuses to give in. bartering is a hobby in china, remember that....

Been there a few times since I stay at Yalan hotel with some of the guys and never paid more than 200rmb (over a year ago). Maybe things have changed however was never quoted more than 200rmb. I will find out later this trip.

I had never been to a KTV, so I was a really dying to try one during my inaugural trip to CP in late August. Apparently KTVs are popular throughout China and Korea.
Reviews of many of the CP KTVs can be found buried in the ISG. Some get rave reviews. The one that seemed to appeal to be the most was the Jia Yi KTV, which is about a 10-minute taxi drive from the Mirathon, where I stayed.
I arrived about 6 PM the Jia Yia hotel and KTV, which are isolated establishments in a factory zone. The KTV building is immense from the outside – detached building, two stories, with a footprint nearly the size of the football field. The KTV lineup wasn’t supposed to start until 6:30, so I got a quick bite to eat at the hotel restaurant, which is directly across from the hotel. (To order something, I looked at what the other customers were eating, saw something that looked like sliced chicken and rice, and indicated to the waitress I wanted that and a Tsingdao beer. Delicious.) From my seat next to the window I could see a stream of girls walking towards the KTV. During that thirty minute period, more than 100 very cute girls, all under 24 , most in tight jeans, walked by.
I had been told that KTV is not for everyone, and is better to do with a group of 3-8 guys. Also, you should like to drink, like to play drinking games or sing Karaoke. Also it is relatively expensive mongering (although KTV in Dongguan costs a fraction of what it would cost in Hong Kong, Seoul or even Beijing.) The ISG gang was not available that night, which is why I went alone. Being alone, my plan was to just check out the lineup, and then get a BBS girl down the street from the Mirathon.
I head in at 6:40. I see immediately that I am in an opulent, modern, sparkling Chinese establishment. To get to the main hall, I have to pass through a corridor, which is lined on both sides with about 40 (!) cute and young waitresses. They are all wearing the same purple dress. As you pass through, they scream out in perfect unison something in Mandarin(probably “welcome to the Jia Yia KTV, have a great time!”).
Then into the hall. How can I put this experience in words? The hall is about 20 meters wide and 80 meters long and two stories high. It is surrounded on all four sides by two stories of KTV rooms. There is moderately loud disco music playing, and various colored lights flashing (similar to an American strip club).
Stretching the complete length of the hall (about 70 meters), there was not just one line of girls, but four lines in parallel! Each girl was wearing a cocktail dress, each girl was under 24, each cute – short spinners, taller girls, girls with big breasts, jet black hair, brown hair, hair down to the ass, straight hair, wavy hair, short hair, all pretty, none overweight. Also among the group are 20-30 mommies. Each mommy manages 5-10 girls. As you start to make your way down the hallway within one of the aisles that are created by the four parallel lines of girls, the mommies aggressively try to convince you to take one of their girls. Since I am almost 6’, they were often throwing their taller, more buxom girls at me. (There were girls actually a few approaching 6’!). Some of the mommieswere indicating with their hands and mouth the girl they are recommending gives a good blow job. There were about 20 other guys (all Asian and probably mostly from HK) also making there way through the hall at that time. There were at least 200 working girls in total. I literally had to fight my way to the end of the hallway. When I got to the other end I had to jump into the alcove and catch my breath.
It was a Monday. Mondays are supposed to have fewer girls, as many girls take it off after the busy weekend!
My plan was to return to my hotel after seeing the lineup. But after arriving, I really wanted to try the KTV experience. I started to talk with two guys who were also getting a breather in the alcove. I figured they were from HK and would probably speak English, which they did. I eventually asked them if they would mind if I joined their KTV party and that I would pay for 1/3. They were very friendly guys and quickly agreed.
The KTV experience is complex and has an elaborate protocol. Briefly, groups of friends have a party in their KTV room with the girls they have selected from the lineup. In this case, the room was another rectangle, about 5 by 10 meters – very posh, with two glass coffee tables, three large flat-screen TVs, and a Karoake control unit. We each chose 2 girls. Two waitresses were also assigned to the room, and one mommy (who was about 40 and unattractive, but a great animator) was also in the room. So we were in total 3 guys, 8 cute girls, and a mommy in the room, for about 5 hours. Just a snapshot to give you an idea. About two hours in, we are all playing drinking dice games – liar’s dice and a few others. Everyone, including the waitresses and the mommy, was getting a solid buzz by downing a small glass of beer when you lose a game. We were shouting and jumping and having a hell of a time. At various random times, one of the working girls would get tired of the nightgown and go change into her street clothes. From time to time, someone would get up, choose a song and sing Karoake. Even though I lost more than my fair share, I was holding my own just because I weighed more than everyone else. Also, each guy is treated like a king in the KTV room. The waitresses give you a napkin as soon as you are done munching on something; our girls are wiping our faces, pouring drinks. Towards the end, we all danced in the room as if we had our own mini disco.
One of the girls I picked actually spoke half-way decent English. She came running up to me in the big hall, saying “I speak English, so you choose me, okay?” Physically she wouldn’t have been my first choice, but it was nice to have a girl I could communicate with. So I choose her without hesitation. She was short, probably about 4’10” and under 90 pounds, with brown wavy hair. But she was cute, with a smile that filled her whole face. I also chose a taller, slender, very pretty girl. My newfound HK friends also chose a set of nice looking girls. By three hours in, each had focused in one of his two girls and starting cuddling with her.
So at midnight, after high-fiving the HK guys and multiple final toasts, I left the KTV with my English-speaking friend. Only 6 hours earlier I had had a fabulous PSE with a sauna girl in the Mirathon. I was now in the mood for a GFE, and I was definitely getting it in the KTV room and back in my hotel room. She had only been working for four days and was very green. The sessions in bed (at night and in the morning) were romantic and tender. She didn’t even give me a BJ – and I didn’t care and didn’t need one at that time. She didn’t leave my hotel until 1PM the following day.
How much did it cost? Not cheap, but considering that we partied from 7PM to midnight, and took in the surreal lineup beforehand, it was not that bad at all. Each guy paid $100 for the party (including all the beer, fair amount of food, and tips), plus $25 to other girl (of the two girls) who we didn’t take home, plus about $120 (800 RMB) to the LT girl. Total cost per person was about $250 including taxes for one hell of party. I wouldn't want to do this every night on a CP visit. But I hope to do it once again (as well as BBSs and sauna) during my next visit in January.

Gotta admit it's a lot of work to adjust our mind to deal with different price levels going from one country or area to the next. You would have to do conversion and calculation for every transaction. After a while the brain gets really tired.

When you find fixed prices for certain market, that is very good indication it is tightly controlled by, for the pussy market, who else but organized crime.
In China the differences are usually so small when converted to US$ that makes it not worth the mental caculations and haggling to laowais. To locals, the differences may be significant and a good cause for concerns about inflation. Furthermore, we should all feel insulted for being taken as fools and gouged for more than normal market prices.
I was traveling with a few friends who were way too easy to be taken advantaged of by third-world people. They would buy drinks for any girl, however ugly and rude, take any girls suggested by mommies, pay any price demanded by the girls etc...Very bad habits. Interesting how subjects you never think about catch your eye. I agree that a good number of non-paying members post questions then never return. Or perhaps continue to lurk without contributing. Also, CPE and your points are well taken. A "private" forum affords a small amount of protection over a completely open public board. Putting up a small fee puts skin into the game. A closed forum may allow us to share information more openly and not fear the masses that could ruin the market? Then again, maybe I would never have found the site a few years ago if it had been a pay site? There are more issues but I'll stop there.

OAH, AZN Man, and I went back to the "3-room" BBS in Yalan (behind the Yalan Hotel), through the 2 green gates and found that all three of these BBS's are charging 250. Yeah, and these girls are KTV wanna-bes. I did see Dronnin there and told him the price is 250 now and he looked baffled. I do not know if he took one, but atleast I warned him about the price increase, so he would not get ripped. I did see a girl in the middle room that I liked and asked what the price was just to make sure, she said 250rmb, then I started to leave, then she pulled my arm and said ok to the 200rmb price.
I don't have the business cards to these BBS shop that are charging 250rmb. Yeah, and ISG members that patronize these shops are only a small percentage. But I just wanted to warn everyone.

Sounds good with me as well. Besides, this mommy has not cornered the market on xiaojies in CP, she also makes up a small percentage of girls for sale. On a good night, she might have 12-15 girls in her stable out of many that are in the Yalan area.

I'm been to CP 5times from last April Canton fair onwards, Price was 150RMB(50 to Mamasan and 100 to the girl). That's the standard price that have been told by the fellow senior mongers on the board. I'm wont pay any single cent extra except tips for supert service, haha.
I did see Dronnin there and told him the price is 250 now and he looked baffled. I do not know if he took one, but atleast I warned him about the price increase, so he would not get ripped.
Ended up taking 2 in fact, but from the get go the mamasan had indicated to me that it was 200 for each and when the deed was done that was all the girls asked for (100) and when I gave them something for their taxi fare they initially looked confused and then very pleased to get it.
Not sure if this was because of the big holidays but things sure felt slow this last week compared to when I was last there in August. Many of the BBS's had 1/3 to 1/2 of what they had last time. Even the mamasans looked tired - very few harassing me around the Miraton and when I got out at Yalan instead of the usual mad dash over to the van they just kind of sauntered at a sleepy pace and never got aggressive with me - and let me go without protest from their shops as if even they even couldn't foster enough enthusiasm to promote their girls. Sleepy time.
Unfortunately I came down with this recurring medical condition I have while there and it knocked me out for much of 3 days - basically slept and watched the StarGate TV series that I picked up there - wow 10 seasons for $30! - but still managed 4 sessions with 2 girls each time - 3 times from BBS's and 1 time from a KTV. Like last time it was very much hit or miss - mainly miss I am afraid - nothing terrible - just nothing very memorable. It is hard not to compare the service with what I am more accustomed to in Thailand and in almost every aspect it comes up short - except for looks - there really are some remarkably attractive women in the biz in CP.
Thanks to Dan and Johnny Chang I finally had the opportunity to experience a KTV -the big one whose name escapes me- it was certainly something everyone should do at least once - the line-up is everything people have claimed it to be - hundreds of women - some so attractive that my knees almost froze and it was only the fellow behind me that kept me going by pushing me - otherwise I would just have done a lot of starring. Trying to pick only 2 is almost cruel - there are just so many - I ended up probably making a mistake and took an ok looking one because she spoke decent English and told her to bring along a friend - when I saw the one Johnny took as well as a couple of the others I wanted to kick myself for not focusing more - but I imagine it takes training to be able to go thru that line-up and not get totally brain locked as to what you have seen and trying to prioritize them. Still the girls were fun enough in the room - lots of dice games and paper, scizzors rock - things that tend to bore me though after 30 to 40 games of it - honestly I was ready to take them way before everyone else was - I kept hoping things would get a little wild in the room but thats kind of hard because there is a never ending parade of people coming in with drinks, food, stuffed toys and trying to pawn more girls off on us. So not sure a KTV life is for me - though I would be happy just walking thru that line-up pretty much every night of my life!

Well, it was running late , close to 7pm and we had a KTV booking. I'm sure if I had time, i could have waited them out (just stare at them like watching TV), then they would have eventually left. Johnny Chan said this too. The other reason for paying them, was that we were going back to the mommy's BBS to confirm, and Johnny Chan did this, and she told him that the 250 was true. But, Johnny is kind of new to the scene so I think the mommy just brushed him off.
Sorry for not jumping in on this sooner. The mommy actually hung up on me after I told her 250 was b.s., and with the time being so close to our Jiayi appointment, there wasn't much else we could do. The next night when I was there she told me the same thing, and actually insisted that all three shops there were 250. I support the boycott 100%. Let her know the reason you are skipping her shop is because of her jacked up price. She'll feel the loss of business, even if it isn't enough to change her ways.

Regrettably, my first CP trip is a thing of the past. Dan and co, you guys were right, I should have extended my stay. CP really is something else. I thoroughly enjoyed it all and can't wait to go back!
I flew into CAN. To get to CP from there, I took the shuttle to the train station (16rmb), then the subway to the east station (4rmb), then train to Dongguan (50rmb). To get back to CAN, I took the train straight to the main train station (50rmb), then the shuttle to the airport (16rmb). I chose this route because, and also in general, flying into Guangzhou is cheaper than Shenzhen.
Stayed at the Lucky (thanks again CPE, I still owe you dinner). I recommend the Deluxe Honeymoon Room instead of the Standard one. It is bigger and more comfortable, and for only 10rmb extra per night.
BBS: The shops behind the Hui Mei didn't have much talent. Didn't get a chance to check out any MPVs. The Yalan area was much better, but still not the quality and quantity that I had expected. I'm guessing this was related to the long holiday. Took a ST back from the shop on the 2nd floor behind the Yalan KTV. Service was excellent, she was very eager to please. Paid 100 to mommy and 110 to the girl.
Night Market: At 10pm or so, selection wasn't all that great. Had a bad experience with a LT. The worst DFE I've ever had. Ended up kicking her out with just the 200rmb paid to the mommy.
KTVs: Of all the KTVs we hit (Lion, Jiayi, Virgin, some place in Qiao Tou I don't recall the name of), Jiayi was BY FAR the best one of them all. Lion was a good option for the price, but IMO Jiayi was worth the extra 200rmb or so per person. Virgin had the lingerie lineup, but I wasn't all that impressed with the quality. We went to Jiayi twice and I had the same girl both times. She ended up spending a couple days/nights with me for free, which was really nice. GFE was off the charts! Dan can attest to this. Easy Dan...
Speaking of which, Dan Hawaii and I discovered that we had almost the exact same taste in girls, and it became a pretty funny running joke towards the end. This guy is something, he speaks no Chinese and yet has the most fun out of everyone in the KTV rooms. All in all, it was a great trip. And it was great to meet and hang out with all of the ISG and non-ISG mongers. Until next time...

Thanks to the following Andy (who introduced me to the ISG guys), Johnny Chan, Dan Hawaii, Ken, Ronnie, OldAsiaHand, John, and Dr. M for sharing the KTV room at Jai Yi.
The 2 girls I chose with were attractive enough but it soon became apparent that one did not like playing second fiddle. After some light drinking and a request to feel her heated face. The older girl wanted to call it a night and take her sitting fee. The 2nd younger girl drank better and actually had classier looking street clothes than the older one when it came time to enjoy an LT.
I took her back to my place since I am living near CP. I hinted to her that I might be interested in DATY. I let her shower alone to see how well she keeps her self clean if no one is influencing her. She washed well and smelled clean and fresh. You know the old saying if it smells like fish don’t eat it. Ha Ha – This applies to Sashimi as well. This girl sincerely gets into DATY. She is also willing to 69. Followed up with some multi-positional (she likes guy on top best and insists on a cover). The sleep time was great as she cuddled close all night long and left me with a GFE experience. The following morning 6:00 I got ready for work with a quick shower. Thoughts from the night before were still racing through my brain. This woke my little brother. I went to the bed room and found her awake and making the bed (not all of the girls do). She saw I was happy to see her and without hesitation dropped to her knees to start my day with a BBBJTC.
Additional notes to fill in the CP trip - Dong Fang (DF) in Qaiotou used to be a special place to see a naked body dance show. That was the main attraction. This practice has since been beaten down by the town police. Now the best that can be hoped for is a no undergarments multiple girl dance towards the end of the night in see through dresses. It is not worth the time and effort any more. This was a low side to the CP trip.

The other less known item is that it is possible to bang out your frustrations for the other poor items in (DF) in their spacious bath rooms.
On a more positive note - was the extra curricular trip (during the same visit to DF) to Lotus Lake Resort in Qiaotou where Dan Hawaii found a sultry little minx. Apparently she became well liked by the group for a couple of days. Ken brought back an English speaking girl that I had been with a couple of times but didn’t want to tell him at the time. Now we can compare notes.
Thanks again fellas and now I can say "Hello from the new member of ISG." I’ll start posting some other DG experiences from my over 2 year stay here in the land of pretty girls.

For those of you that have been in China for a while you know that just about anything is possible, if you have the time.
Home massage is also a nice thing when your feeling like you don't want to go out. There is a local place in Qiaotou town that allows the pure massage girl to come to your place to provide the massage. The fee is 40 rmb per hour compared to the 30 per hour at the actual hair salon. The girl gets 10 and the salon gets 30. There is usually a 2 hour minimum until the salon realizes you can't always spare that much time.
Was just visited by a regular who I have cultivated to provide extra activities for the normal price. She cooks, cleans, will do the laundry or anything else during the visiting time. It is my choosing. After she helped with the laundry today she realized that my loose trunks were shaped with an extra bulge. Knowing the remaining time was short she played and moved me to a comfortable position for a BBBJTC. I'll drop her at work now and then head to CP for some food and footie action. Total cost for 2 hours good quality body and house helping including the fee for the company 175 RMB.

For informational purposes, 2 guys from Los Angeles have taken over the night club at the Hui Mei Hotel called the Sing Along Night Club. I will try to talk to them about prices and such for ISG members who wander in there looking for girls and fun.
-The Skirt ChaserHui Mei's sing along was being run by 3 parties. Louis and Richard were from Miami. They claimed to be Brazilian. Oscar is the 3rd player and is Chinese. Louis and Richard found that replacing a long standing venue of “no band, Chinese KTV lyrics” with a 7 piece live Pilipino band singing 95% English tunes was not popular in CP.
The Sing along club with the help from Oscar started out by trying to get local mommies to bring their less attractive girls to the tables to sing accompany the customers (cost 150 RMB not counting the drinks you poured into them.). This is because the Hui Mei hotel KTV mommies wanted to much of a cut for the start up business to be able to finance. Another major issue was the lack of advertising prior to the new venue. I visited about 10 times and after 2 weeks there had been nothing more done than to put a 1 meter tall by a 1/3 meter wide sign on the front of a podium set outside of the Hui Mei front door during the late afternoon and evening. This and the higher drink prices than inside of the KTV area spelled death to the business.
Now there are 2 guys (Richard and Louis) with a lot less money and the business has been restarted with some different rules. Hui Mei Hotel now runs the show with Oscar in charge of existing "Sing Along" Lounge. As of 10-7-07 there is only a 3 piece Pilipino band (1 female singer, 1 male guitarist, 1 male keyboard player). There are supposed to be 2 other musicians (1 male drummer and another female singer coming in the next 2 weeks). The hotel uses the see through evening gowned KTV girls to temp a customer into a sitting partner with the normal KTV options once your leave. 200 to sit, 500 ST, and 800 LT. The drink prices have changed to buy 1 get 1. If you want to listen to someone singing English “live”, then sit and have fun. If you want a date, you can always find a cheaper date, buy a CD player, and 3 or 4 English CDs for less than a KTV gal.

Based in Shanghai, I have a good experience of the SH and Beijing scenes, but totally newbie to the South.
I have an opportunity to visit CP from Oct. Fri 19 to Sun 21.
I just discovered that Canton fair will be going on during this particular period.
I would appreciate to get advise from anyone familiar with Dongguan to know whether CP is still worth the visit, or every place would be crowded due to the proximity of GZ.

Just got back from a 2 day road trip to Zhuhai and Macau. We hired a car from the Lucky Hotel in CP to Zhuhai (Macau Border) for only 400 rmb total to include the 99 rmb toll road fee.
This is a pretty good deal and can be booked from the Lucky Hotel Travel Agency. Nice new car and professional driver.
Decided to do cheap coming back (Damn Sands Casino) took bus from Zhuhai Bus Station to Dongguan City Bus Station as there were no buses to Chang Ping. From DG City to CP was a nightmare of a bus ride at 1 1/2 hours, I will never do that again.

The fastest way would be take a private car from a hotel. "AG" posted some info on it. Cheapest way is by bus, read my post for info. There were others who left input on transportation from ZH to CP around the same time frame.
If you are with a few people, then the best way is private car. With a few people generally you don't have to worry about, "taken for a ride".
There is a bus that goes from ZH to the edge of CP. You might have been to the wrong bus station. I took it twice, and then transfered to a local yellow bus for about 3-4RMB. I don't know how often the bus travels to CP.
From Zhuhai to Dongguan City then to CP, I have also done the same because I didn't know at the time. See link below for more info.

Not being a KTV guy, I stumbled into a sauna with a girl line up similar to some of the KTV line ups I read about.
What is the deal here, there where average girls in kind of staff dress, then two other line ups in silk dress's, clearly younger and more beautiful, is this standard stuff?

Was a hell of a fun time here in CP. Better than I could even imagine, even with many misses with girls, I got a 100% hit rate when it came to meeting new fellow mongering friends. This place is like Las Vegas, always meeting new travelers and seeing familar faces. What an awesome and unforgettable CP adventure.
I would like to thank Jackson for making this possible and all my new and old friends that I had the honor of adventuring with. It was defineately a highlight of my life.
