1. Always start at RMB 10 for just about everywhere around CP - and not take their crap about higher gas prices.... especially true during the weekdays - but you do have to consider RMB15 Friday - Sunday.
2. Always remember that in most cases, you'd be better off price wise if you took taxis as per bill's advise.

On taxis - remember - try to take the Yellow taxis as they're cheaper (cannot go out of CP) plus they're driven by local CP taxi drivers who SHOULD not be able to profess not knowing where to go. The Blue ones are a bit higher price but still cheaper in most instances vs the pirates (these ones can go out of CP)

I "partook" last Saturday and the way it was explained to me is that the Gal in any case was RMB300. Add to that is RMB 238 room fee - discounted to 218 with the VIP card, or RMB 190 if you use your own Miraton room upstairs.

Thus the cheapest option would be 490 - but would entail you doing the dirty in your own room - which really does get dirty with all that liquid being splashed about not only in the bathroom,. but also on your bed which you need to sleep on afterwards!!

Been there, done that. To be honest, when you move to candyland, you kind of get bored with the candy and start focusing more on the service and bad candy you get, rather than the fact you are banging just another young Chinese girl.

plus 100 for room service fee (just like how food room service is more than usual)
So 400 total to do deed in your own Miraton room.

The way I did it was to go down to the Sauna floor and ask for line ups. Then you pick one, you tell them your room number, and she meets you there 10-15 minutes later. Getting into the sauna late at night (around 1 in the morning, say) means you finish around 3. No managers will be around at that time, hence can't complain. The girls know that too, unfortunately.

Taking them up to your hotel room creates the same problem, tougher to complain. At the better run saunas, if you do the deed there, after you finish the managers always ask you if everything was ok, and give you an opportunity to complain, should there be any.

i'd always recommend taxi from airport to the high speed crh train. it's gonna be faster, safer, lots less expensive and i'd think more comfortable (exceptin' for the transfers in and out of taxi/train etc).

don't matter which airport as its basically rmb 120-50 taxi fee from either gz or sz airport to the crh train. and since these trains goes so fast (up to 220 kmh), either 25 mins from sz or 35 mins from gz. then you have the freedom to figure out which destination offers you the best air fare.

but if you insisit on going by taxi (yeah - you - mr bsd!!)from the airport to cp, then of course you should choose sz and not gz as its so much closer.

There are 2 bus service 6.am to midnight large blue bus every 30 min go to shennan rd near CITIC center cost is 33 rmb take about 1 hr 15 min ,mini van go to Lowu border cost 28 rmb but not as comfortable as the big bus .

I can confirm that the Miraton was 400 total if you sessioned in your room, as of January 2008. In my two trips to CP, I have had five sauna sessions, always at the Miraton. The first session was the best - the girl was really hot and I was pleasantly surprised by the routine. All of subsequent sessions have been somewhat disappointing as compared to the first one. Only once did I session in my room - the girl was also very hot, but wrapped things up in about an hour (incredibly long BBBJ though). Then she wanted me to order food from room service. After declining, the mood deteriorated. Another session, the girl, who came highly recommended from Simon, turned out to be chubby with her clothes off. Although she was very porno, I was turned off by her appearance and regretted selecting her. But on the whole, if you are staying in the Miraton, the 400RMB is a good deal.

Also, if I recall correctly, for the same price, you are supposed to get two hours during the day and 90 minutes at night.

The BBS mommie from Hell - Sandy from the Old Jo Jo's who have a habit of refusing to let us leave by sitting on us - has become the Mommie from hell at the Clipper.

First she managed to convince our Shanghai friend (who she knows are used to paying lotsa money to got KTV'ing in shanghai) with all sort of promises.

Well the bill for 3 - yup THREE of us - was RMB 1,256, plus 2 x 200 for 2 KDJ's (even though she had told us it's ok to jsut have 1 DJ when we first came) for a total of 1,556 or RMB 550 for each of us. That for 2 (plus suppossedly 1 free) bottles of red wine mixed with 7 up (do real guys really drink that shit??) and 3 plates of noodles/rice, some satay plus the usual fruit platter - which she insist we pay RMB238 for - and which 99% of the time we SHOULD get gratis!

AND the worst thing about it all is that the "suppossed" model type gals are actually...... the same BBS gals that we all used to bang for RMB 200 each!! Truly crap - and in fact our Shanghai friend, was "reserved" a couple gals by Sandy - one of which is shorty sex bomb Jo er (Joey) which I know most of you had pleasured and who was one of my regular standby when I couldn't get no one else!! OHMIGAWD!!

I was buying some bananas at a fruit stall opposite the Virgin Hotel, outside the dvd stores, when I felt something move in my right pocket. I turned to my right and there was nobody there, but I continued to turn and saw a guy with his back to me. I knew it had to have been him because he was the only person near. Cell Phone. I recently found my cellphone case dangling from my belt after getting off a bus, it still had the cellphone in it. How did that happen? Did somebody try to get it? I'm kind of careless with my phone because it's just an old $20 used nokia.

You can get velcro attached to the pocket lips at the cleaners for a few rmb. I paid 5rmb to velcro my back pocket.

Same thing happened to me a few years ago near Daili .. same type of setup. I was purchasing some thing from a stall at a market and felt my wallet moving in my right pants pocket..and when I turned, saw a guy with the exact same instrument you described.. a 12-15 inch tweezers. He only got the wallet half way out ... but when I looked at him and asked what the ^&^ he was doing.. he simply stared st me non chantey and none of the locals who must have known the score got involved. I use bus for long distance city to city and from airport to town but once of a while I use the taxi ,for in town I use mostly taxi and sometime moto bike because is faster during rush hr but now CP got rid of most of the moto driver.

welllll..... can you blame him? he is the perfect gentleman who always wants to appear gracious and not have to relate bad experiences. fact is, he was very visibly embarrassed when i started berating sandy and the assorted managers who came to try to placate me on the way over-inflated bill. it's not only the money - but i was way more upset that this mommie from hell had actually taken advantage of our buddy's penchant for always looking good under any circumstances - and had ripped us off.

as far as the premises itself is concerned - of course its new and its "ok" - but nothing great - at least not for those prices....in dgg! actually.... do you really care how the place looks? to me its the "vibes" of the place and whether i feel "at home' or not - which i certainly did not at the clipper as i felt it quite sterile and even cold in that "snooty" way that places can make one feel.

hell, my favorite ktv in dgg nowadays is the grotty swan lake ktv where transporter took me. its cheap (they actually have room charges to cover the basic fruit etc - but no minimum beyond that) and thus for toucan'ers like me - its great! and the gals - yes.... they are the same bbs gals - but just about everybody here opines that the swan lake do have pretty close to just the best gals in terms of selection, variety and quantity. and as far as i'm concerned, i've always had good 'service' from a swl gal. certainly a helluva lot better than sandy's gals - then and now!

and the best part - the charges are 1-3-6, and thus i get 2 gals to sit with me without breaking the bank and then play with both of them all night. send one off at the end of the evening with rmb100 - most likely with gleeful thanks from her and - and take the other one for a whole rmb300 (don't like lt/usually cannot fall asleep with them!) and have my nice "rounding off for the night." all for under rmb600 or so. now you tell me - isn't this a much better deal??

OK, what do I mean by acting like a BSd - it's a matter of attitude and approach to the various staff, manager, mommies etc that abounds at KTV's. A BSD would come in and NOT hardly ask about prices, minimums, what can be expected free and DO get all pumped up by the fawning of these KTV vultures - many times the unfortunate result of trying NOT to embarrass himself in front of other members of his party by nit-picking at prices etc.

This is fine IF he is going to pay for the whole evening himself (Lots of Local and Hogkong/Taiwanese Chinese do so to build up business guangxi - but the Mommies/managers etc know better than try to rip these lucrative longer term clients off!) - But really.... when its shared??

Guys guilty of acting like BSD's - those who has thin skin/gets embarrassed easily, used to paying much higher prices (in HongKong, Shanghai, Taipei, Japan etc - even Shenzhen I may add - and of course clueless Furreners!!)

What do I recommend?? BE NIT-PICKING and ask beforehand ALL the pricing matters - including your instructions that ANY orders must be confirmed in writing and signed off by yourself. Let them know that you ain't gonna be ripped off. And by requring your 'sign off' on any orders, gals/DJ's would be reluctant to order useless - and expensive - items, as they actually need to first ask you.

All this is gonna be hard to do if one amongst you really do need to act like a BSD and brushes off your concerns/need for info beforehand (and this DOES happen - some guys just do not like to be seen as being cheap - no matter that the people he is afraid he is gonna "look" cheap to are just vultures/lowlifes!) - but you really do need to do this to avoid being ripped off. Do it on the side and establish your "rules" to these vultures - there's nothing wrong and it is NOT el cheapo to do so.

OK - what is fair (and achievable) pricing per person (inclusive of all room/drink/meals/DJ charges - but exclusive of each member's 2-5-8 or 1-3-6) in CP? RMB 200 - 300 for in town KTV's, a bit more for places like Prince, Goodview etc. but in any case, definitely NOT anything over RMB500. One caveat - the number of persons in your party versus the size of the room (remember to ask the various mnimums for different size rooms) will affect the price.

Now some (hope not most) of you will probably not agree with my price caps above - but before you start going hot and heavy on me - please first review your modus operandi when going to KTV's - are you/your party guilty of acting like a BSD (even a little bit) or have you been a smart consumer?

I can say I usually end up paying 300-500, 500 when there is a bunch of people, lots of food, alcohol and a room 4x the size of the guys there.

CPrince is definitely 10% more with a minimum of about 1200 for a decent sized room with view of show (3-4 people + girls).

I often grab dinner at the KTV while it isn't cheap, it gets thrown into the minimum and because it is so early I prefer to eat later rather than at 5pm.

does everyone drink beer or is wine a decent option at any of these places?

You forgot to mention the fact that we were in the biggest KTV room at the Clippers and the room charge was already at $988. We were expecting another member to show up but he was not able to make it the last minute and there was no more smaller rooms left on Saturday.

Just like you said below, " BE NIT-PICKING and ask beforehand ALL the pricing matters". I agree with you on that point but we never asked if food and snacks were considered consumables. We were so hungry that night when we first arrived so we just wanted something to eat right away. I actually kinda liked the food there and most people in the room enjoyed it. The atmosphere we created that night was priceless. If you think the price of food is unreasonable, just don't order it next time as most other charges are relatively the same as other KTVs. I don't know about you but I had a lot of fun that night.

OK - what is fair (and achievable) pricing per person (inclusive of all room/drink/meals/DJ charges - but exclusive of each member's 2-5-8 or 1-3-6) in CP? RMB 200 - 300 for in town KTV's, a bit more for places like Prince, Goodview etc. but in any case, definitely NOT anything over RMB500. One caveat - the number of persons in your party versus the size of the room (remember to ask the various mnimums for different size rooms) will affect the price.

Now some (hope not most) of you will probably not agree with my price caps above - but before you start going hot and heavy on me - please first review your modus operandi when going to KTV's - are you/your party guilty of acting like a BSD (even a little bit) or have you been a smart consumer?

We always spend around 400 to 800 rmb per person at ktvs. I always seem to go with a large group, maybe around 5 people, sometimes more. And we seem to drink a lot all the time. I know what SEAJ is saying about them tacking on all kinds of charges, I see the bill listing many little charges, but I don't know what they mean, cause its written in Chinese. All I know is that 400 is cheap and 800 is acceptable at certain places and at times where you know you drank and partied.

I don't mind paying 800 rmb or even 1000 rmb. In fact i rather pay 1000 rmb for a kickass, party like a rockstar, party than to pay 400 rmb for a boring ass party. There is 1 key thing that has to fall into place for a kickass party to take place:

1. mood and attitude of the girls. Like no drama, no bullshit, etc... They need to want to party and click and have chemistry. Some girls are happy some days and some girls are mad at the world on others. But some girls are just happy most of the time. Everyone needs to pick girls that are happy, and um.. pretty. Hahaha. It just takes one bad apple to spoil the bunch or in this case, the party mood. Especially if one girl tries to pull some bullshit and makes one of our friends mad, oooohh that's a party killer. Then everybody feels like not partying anymore.

One sure way to have a good time.....

Then on a different trip to China, my friend said come to GV for a party and I was hesitant, cause of my previous experiences. My friend and HIS friend are VIP there. I mean, they go every weekend cause they live in HK. Not to mention that they have their favorite girls that they always pick all the time. So these guys have 5 girls each all the time they go. So we went and WOW, was one of the best ktv party I ever went to. At one point, everyone was dancing, was like a club atmosphere with so many awesome looking women. The bill was 800 rmb each, but the fun we had was worth way more than that.

You forgot to mention the fact that we were in the biggest KTV room at the Clippers and the room charge was already at $988. We were expecting another member to show up but he was not able to make it the last minute and there was no more smaller rooms left on Saturday.

Just like you said below, " BE NIT-PICKING and ask beforehand ALL the pricing matters". I agree with you on that point but we never asked if food and snacks were considered consumables. We were so hungry that night when we first arrived so we just wanted something to eat right away. I actually kinda liked the food there and most people in the room enjoyed it. The atmosphere we created that night was priceless. If you think the price of food is unreasonable, just don't order it next time as most other charges are relatively the same as other KTVs. I don't know about you but I had a lot of fun that night.

Please don't get me wrong - its not that I did NOT have a good time - I DID have a good time. What really bugged me was the fact that the Mommie from hell took advantage of the gregarious and generous nature of our friend.
On the room - the 988 is the MINIMUM charge for it - and it would be all in order if we did get charged the 988 even if we did not go to that amount - but for 3 guys to get charged RMB 1,268 - with all sorts of over charges is what got to me. On top of that, I believe that our friend had specifically asked for a mid size room (RMB688) but Sandy non chalantly just oversold him on the large room whilst I noticed when going to make our gal selections that there were still quite a few small and medium rooms dark and empty.
On the actuall charges - if I recall correctly (which I'm pretty sure) - it was:

Red wine 2 x 238 = 476 (but we suppossedly got 1 extra bottle free - who knows!!)
Seven UP 10 x 15 = 150 (Charging for mixers, usually some thrown in when one nit picks!)
Coca Cola 1 X15 = 15
Noodles/Rice 3 x 69 = 207 (Again - Mommies/managers quite regularly throw in these kinds of "goodies" to their "favoured" clients - which our friend definitely should be regarded as by that B...h!)
Satay 3 x 79 = 237 (ditto - plus each satay platter only had 6 satays - and you know what those should cost!)
Fruit 1 x 238 = 238 and 88 for other snacks (These items are the kicker that really got me all upset - cain't remember when I last got charged for these!!)
Grand total 1,411 - which was suppossedly discounted to that magic 1256 (or was it 1268?) figure.

What did we do wrong? For one - I thought that this Sandy would have given our friend the proper respect and consideration that he deserves and as such, I did NOT get nit picking at all and just left it as it was then. You - my friend - ARE precisely the type of guy who "educate" these mommies/managers that in most cases, they can get away with overcharging and bill padding. You'd come into a KTV with hardly a clue as to the "Flexi-pricing" that is common at all KTV's, not ask what ARE the charges, party hard (to the point of not caring when the bill actually arraives????!!) - and goes away oblivious to how you got overcharged! Yowich!!

I still remember that night at the ChangAn KTV. The bill came to 500 rmb each. There were 3 of us, plus Wapec as a late arrival. Same shit there, manager didn't give us any freebies. He has called/texted me numerous times since. I have told him once that he charged us too much. Haven't bothered to reply to him the other times. If I do go back to that place, I would book through another manager anyway. What do I have to lose? He was not giving me any breaks anyway.

I can report at JiaYi, I went there with another member and there were only like 1800 min rooms available, we passed (figuring it would go above that for two non-chinese speakers). We sat in the main area stage and I specifically told the waiter (with my bad chinese and translator) that he should tell me when the bill approaches 800 (we each had 3 girls), and were eating food. And he did it and gave me updates on paper, which earned him a tip because he did what I told him and minded MY money. Being the first time to KTV without a chinese speaker, I didn't want to get screwed.

I can say that worked - setting the line ahead of time, and not only that when I came back he also gave me tips on the girls. My new pengyou gave me good guidance and introduced me to some of the mommies.

I can say another time I went with one other english guy, and I set the line in the room at 300 (room minimum - medium room), not crowded and average place as we were only to stay two hours then leave. No food only beer and fruit. They managed to elevate the bill to 550, I tried to 'renegotiate' the bill with little success. Maybe that was the minimum per person (this wasnt in CP but inland), but I talked to the manager and let him know I won't be back - all in bad mandarin and E-C translator.

Unfortunately, for americans they know we are likely not to be the repeat customers that the HK and local (DG/SZ) crew .... are so they take what they can get. What is good is that if you do confront they usually concede
so as not to lose face.

Not wanting to lose face often puts the Chinese at a disadvantage if you know how to play it. (Throwing a tantrum in China isn't good for one)

FYI SEAJ, I have been to ktvs over 75 times, because thats all we do everynight I'm in CP. And during those 75+ times, 99% of those times I have always gone with a Mandarin speaking friend, such as Moody, AG, Jim Traveler, Charged Red, HK buddy, 2 SF buddies, one just married Zhu Hai buddy (forgot his handle), Cloudy Palms and his friend, Asian Bleu and his friend, and many more, even you SEAJ. The point is, that the bill always comes out to pretty much the same per person at certain esatablishments. We did tell the DJ to let us know when we reach the minimum, tell us when she orders something, complain, and ask questions, etc, etc, etc... And the bill comes out pretty much the same. It is no use for us to tell the DJ to notify us when we reach the minimum, cause an hour later, she comes and tells us that we have meet the minimum. It's just useless to do that if we drink like fishes, however, if you are a 2 can sam then it would work for you. I don't think we are getting ripped off, because many of those mandarin speaking friends that I have gone with, are ktv pros. And the bill still is around the same price. The only thing that I can complain about it if the DJ starts taking half full glasses of beers, wine, etc. off the table. That's what makes the bill go up. So I tell her with sign language and some fucked up mandarin that I dont like that. Or I tell my chinese speaking friend whats going on and he gets pissed and tells em off.

If you want cheaper ktv prices, you need to go to the cheaper ktvs. I posted some ktv price listing on AG's forum, FOR YOU, a while back. Here it is....:





The KTV prices are kind of unknown to me because the bill comes back in Chinese, but I'll try my best. In the order of most expensive:

Club NTT (New Dong Tai Entertainment Square), the druggy place, on my other posts, was the most expensive. Girls were 3-6-9 and 4-8-12. Beers were straight 38 rmb fees, no freebies. I guess if you are into drugs, you can go here, Jim Traveler, who I know and trust, says the girls are suppose to do the drugs with you. I believe it, because I went to club Xinde and the managers are the suppliers.

Crown Prince, beers and girls are 5 star expensive. I guess they have to pay for the show; last years show was better, was like Cirque du Soleil. The show now is just singing and magic. Different echelon of girl pricing ......2-5-8 (Red Tag); 3-6-9 (Green Tag); 3-6-10 (Blue Tag) or maybe 4-7-10. If the girls' hands are in front, they will not go out. Only the girls’ hands in back, they will go out.

Goodview, all girls are 2-5-8, except for the models, which are dressed in blue dresses with a big blue feather sticking out of their hair. They are sitting in front of the elevator. I don't know the prices for these girls, but they are not better looking, IMHO kind of ugly. They are just taller?? Beers are up there, but I think slightly cheaper than Crown Prince.

Hui Hua, beers are 35 rmb, buy 2 get one free. Girls are 2-5-8. Had lots of girls (300) on a Wednesday. Lots of 5-6 lookers with a little 7-8. Just got to get lucky.

Jia Yi, beers are a tad above average in price. Girls are 2-5-8. You need to buy a 35-rmb drink or snack for every girl, or the girl has to pay it on her own. We usually just buy snacks so everyone can eat it.

Peninsula was around average or slightly above in price. Girls are 2-5-8.

Hui Mei must be the average pricing for beers. Girls are all 2-5-8.

Lion; beers might be a little cheaper than average. Girls are 2-5-8.

PP is pretty cheap. Never been there but read a lot about the value from other posts.

I was just explaining that if you are VIP, usually the girls will show you a good time and the party would be kicking. Nothing about the bill. However, when I partied with these VIPs, the bill came out to what was expected from that establishment.

Every since we arrived in CP on Friday, I knew we are going to get a large room and we are totally comfortable with that even if our friend does not show up. We just made a simple request to the mommy for a smaller room but it was totally fine if none was available. If you think the 988 basic room charge was too much for 3 of us, you should let us know ahead of time and you were welcome not to participate. My friend and I had no problem covering all the charges. Just for the kicker, my friend and I went back to Clippers the next night and got a medium room. We even racked up a bigger bill with only 2 of us. What can I say? We loved the food and all the girls were happy with the snacks we ordered. We had even more fun the 2nd night.

I would also not call a place a rip off if we do not know ahead of time if they will charge us for something. You can't expect all the food and snacks to be free at Clippers just because they are free else where. You are basically saying, if I can get a bowl of noodle for 5 rmb at one restaurant, it should be 5 rmb everywhere else. We were being charged exactly by the book and nothing out of the ordinary. I would be pissed and call Clipper a rip off if they charge us something that they do not normally charge other customers there. On top of that, we were given a 10% discount. They are not going to give us another discount just because we have only 3 people in a large room.

The only problem that I recalled from the first night was we did not use up all the consumables for beers and wine. We should have ordered more bottles of wine even if we did not intend to finish them. But I was able to stay sober and had fun with my ktv girl that night back at the hotel. =) My pov.

Of course I know no flame intended etc - and that you're stating facts as YOU understand it. Well, here's the fact as I see it; The thing that bugged me most was the fact that our friend had been so good to Sandy all along and she instead pays him back by ripping him off. The 988 MINIMUM (not basic!) charge was definitely NOT the problem as it would have been less than 350@ and I would have been more than happy to pay such minimum AND, I do not have any problems with paying what I am suppossed to pay.


I would also not call a place a rip off if we do not know ahead of time if they will charge us for something. You can't expect all the food and snacks to be free at Clippers just because they are free else where. You are basically saying, if I can get a bowl of noodle for 5 rmb at one restaurant, it should be 5 rmb everywhere else. We were being charged exactly by the book and nothing out of the ordinary. I would be pissed and call Clipper a rip off if they charge us something that they do not normally charge other customers there. On top of that, we were given a 10% discount. They are not going to give us another discount just because we have only 3 people in a large room.
At most KTV's I've been to - especially when the mommie/manager knows that I am a good, long time client (as Sandy should know - if she wasn't such a b...h), they would go out of their way to give us complimentary foods, snacks - even drinks. Discounts are pretty well de-rigeur in most KTVs and regularly given - usually with big flourishes at bill paying time - to give "face' to the client especially in front of his friends. THAT - is the way business is in China

Yeap, you should of ordered the consumable alcohol and stored them. Most ktv lets you store your undrank booze and they give you a ticket for them. So the next time you go, you can give them your ticket and get your booze back for free. I think they only let you store them for 3 months or so, then it expires and you loose them.

Also, I stay at one hotel only and rarely shop around. It's best that some of the other members chime in since they constantly switch hotels.

Since you found the post for the rate for the Walter at 300rmb, I suggest you pm that member who posted the rate and ask how he obtained that rate. If you can't pm, join the board, the knowledge you can get through member's pm can pay for itself on your first visit here.

Wish I could be more of a service to you. I don't recommend mamasans since they can't be trusted all the time.

If you haven't been to CP and don't know the local language, I suggest you give this town a pass.

1st Open a corporate account. You have to sign some paperwork. You can start an ISG account at the Walter.

2nd Talk with Management and tell them you want to stay for about a month or two.

3rd If you know someone who works there. For example, sometimes a hotel's KTV mamasan can get you a very good rate.

4th Have your phone around and call your friend for other advice. Wonder
why your friend didn't come with you because you don't know anyone in CP.

I have post many report on travel to CP from ZH , the CTS bus is not that bad take 2.30 min and ferry and train will take too long you will need to go to shenzhen or humen first and take another bus .

I recommend if you don't know the area well take the bus or a private car and if you don't speak chinese is hard for you find a private car or you will get scam for sure .

I'm not an expert on ZH, but a few options I know about are:

1. From the Gongbei area, take bus to GZ, then train to CP
2. Take bus to DG City, then another bus to CP (I don't really suggest this one as it takes forever)
3. Hire a car as FE48 has said, try to find a driver that will do it for less than 500 RMB.
4. I have never taken the CTS bus from ZH to CP, but FE48 knows his stuff.

Going to SZ, is way out of the way.

I have taken the route for a bus a few times from ZH to CP. I have posted a report or two also. Please do a search. Someone also posted a number for trustworthly private car in ZH.

Now for public buses, it's not that bad. It's taking some of the cheaper private buses. Now these buses are mostly taken by the POORER locals and are very run down like no air-conditioner. These buses stop more often and will circle sometimes for more riders. They want to fill the bus before leaving an area. These buses are about a third the cost of a public buses but can take twice as long. You can even negotiage prices sometimes. They don't have their own bus stations and will try to take away customers from the public buses.

The best in my opinion is taking a mini-bus.. no need to walk the borders, you just go through the new immigration border control. Switch cars in SZ and then straight to Hui Hwa - door to door service. To get to the right place, when you come out at HKIA, go to the "B" section where all the hotels/shuttles are. The ZHGT (the name of the company) - is located towards the left (3rd kiosk) as you're looking at the U (with arrivals behind you).

Just say "CHANGPING" - a one way ticket is going to be 250 RMB and a RT is 350 RMB. Unfortunately, you CANNOT buy a RT from the HKIA airport... weird thing... you have to buy it from CP and use it in the future.

Been doing it for years, because it's just EASY. No bus transfers, you literally sit in a 7 person mini-van, no getting out, crossing the border done inside the van.

I think the best thing for dan is stay over night at Shenzhen LoWu and take the train to CP the next morning, the last train and bus ito CP s around 9. 30 pm private taxi will cost alot at night, I don't think mini van or bus run after 9. 30 pm from HKIA to CP but you can still catch a bus or taxi to Shenzhen.

I used to fly into HKIA via NW all the time. I've been Platinum Elite for last 8 years. Van service to major SZ hotel is available till 11 PM so made it most of the time provided no issue getting out of Narita. When I got stuck than stayed at Kowloon SHAGrila or Holiday Inn.

I'm arriving on NW flight #27 to GZ next Thrs night. Arriving at 11 PM. Man, last time I flew in/out of GZ was 10 years ago at old airport...

I'll up for KTV and mongering Sat and Sun nights (8/2 and 3) in DG or SZ. Haven't decided where yet. Had a blast with AG, Wadman and MD at naked KTV in Humen/ChanAN 3 months ago. Also went to Goodview KTV in Tangshia.

I am not sure, but i think you're pretty safe with 9:30. They may run at the latest until 10 or 11... but again, don't count on it... you won't know until you get to the arrival's center and check their kiosk. However, if that doesn't work, look for anybody else there and see about getting to SZ. Once in SZ, you can get any private car/taxi to take you to CP. although it will likely cost you about 200 or so to get you there...

There used to be a place once you got into SZ which were the taxi's that came from CP that were looking for a fare back.. i.e. they got paid to drive to SZ, but then needed a fare to go back. So there was a certain location that they all hung out at.... it was over by the place where people get their driver's license... but damn if I know where it is exactly... hilarious, you'd get a cab to drop you off there and then get swarmed with guys trying to make a deal.

I remember negotiating getting to CP for 70 RMB back when 8.2 was the RMB rate... it was a ghetto taxi, but who cares...

Anyways, sorry I can't be of more help... what I'll do for you ,since i'll be in HKIA in about 24 hours, is to ask when I get there and PM you when I get to HH.

I am not sure, but i think you're pretty safe with 9:30. They may run at the latest until 10 or 11... but again, don't count on it... you won't know until you get to the arrival's center and check their kiosk. However, if that doesn't work, look for anybody else there and see about getting to SZ. Once in SZ, you can get any private car/taxi to take you to CP. although it will likely cost you about 200 or so to get you there...

There used to be a place once you got into SZ which were the taxi's that came from CP that were looking for a fare back.. i.e. they got paid to drive to SZ, but then needed a fare to go back. So there was a certain location that they all hung out at.... it was over by the place where people get their driver's license... but damn if I know where it is exactly... hilarious, you'd get a cab to drop you off there and then get swarmed with guys trying to make a deal.

I remember negotiating getting to CP for 70 RMB back when 8.2 was the RMB rate... it was a ghetto taxi, but who cares...

Up through last night, everything seems fine on the KTV Front. I inquired about closures at HH and JY, the major ones we frequent and was told that it would be business as usual (I mean that is unless they really do crack down). Was told that while the smaller ones may be impacted because they don't have the connections, I guess when you own the only Helicopter in town with your own landing pad, you know some people and they're not going to prevent you from making money.

They did tell me, some lights may be off in certain areas and it may require non-regulars some guessing as to which door gets in you in, if you're a regular, or have ever had a chick or a manager give you a card, I think you can simply call them, and you'll be okay.

Been in CP for a few days now (was here last weekend) and the talent is still good and hopping. Can't say much for BBS as I really haven't explored, but I do notice i've been approached much LESS than normal.

Actually my suggestion is just to be smarter about flight bookings so you don't get stuck in HKIA unnecessarily. Obviously if it can't be helped, it can't be helped, but it'll cost you otherwise.

In that case, just get a private car, to pick you up at the airport and wisk you away to CP. It'll cost you the tune of about 1200-1500 RMB. But if you had a few dudes with you, it'd be well worth it.

For "Soulman", he is correct about Sky Limo mini-van service. The last van is at 11pm. Then the first van is at 5am. It can take you from Shenzhen border to HKIA or HKIA to Shenzhen border. The price is 130RMB but they will first ask for 150RMB. I had a very early flight and there were the only one operating at 4:45am at the 24hr border crossing from SZ to HKIA. I have a buz card from them.

Sorry guys, I thought I had already posted the time, but realized that I didn't. May be too late for some, but the operating hours are from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. So the last bus leaving out of HKIA to HH (direct) is at 10:00 p.m.

Hope that helps anyone. After coming int at 10, my suggestion is to get to the border somehow (maybe Xpress train - from HK). Or to check out the ferries, but at that time, it's tough goings.

Actually my suggestion is just to be smarter about flight bookings so you don't get stuck in HKIA unnecessarily. Obviously if it can't be helped, it can't be helped, but it'll cost you otherwise.

In that case, just get a private car, to pick you up at the airport and wisk you away to CP. It'll cost you the tune of about 1200-1500 RMB. But if you had a few dudes with you, it'd be well worth it.

Hui Hua service to HKIA starts at 5:55 am in crappy slow vans, arrives SZ before 7:30 and after transfer at bridge arrives at HKIA before 8:30 more than enough time for an 11 am flight. The Eternal East Service from Meriton leaves at 6:30 am, has nicer vans and a slightly more direct route and gets to SZ slightly behind the Huihua service and gets to HKIA in nicer vehicles just a little after 8:40 am. Just did this two weeks ago with the assistance of our dear friend Bill Lee. Anyone care to verify?

Getting to CP from HKIA always seems to take a little longer waiting for enough passengers at HKIA before getting everything coordinated on the SZ side of the bridge with a few more stops along the way at other hotels like Crown Prince.

The border crossing takes about 45 min now as opposed to 15 minutes tops before. They open the back of the card to look at luggage and very slowly check the passports. Think this is all Olympic gitters. Still got to the airport at about 8.55am which is about 30 min longer than usual but more than enough for a 10.30 - 11.00 am flight. Oh and now HK is enforcing seat belt laws so they make you put on the seat belt once you reach the border including in the back seats.

You need to get your ticket at the HH bus office (right next to the door) the day before at least. they will stop at 3-4 more locations, pick passengers and you are on your way. the drivers don't speak English, but usually there are a few HK'ers or someone that speaks some English on board, but really you don't need it. If you have your departure card just give them your passport. I find their service is good and quick (fast but safe drivers).

If you can sit in front, you'll be more comfortable. They do pack them in and don't sit on the left side (non-door) of the van as there is a bump there that will destroy your hip.

As for hotels, you can stay at the new Clipper or Penninsula hotel for only around 260rmb, thanks to AG for the hook ups. The Penninsula hotel is actually nicer than the Hui Hua and Miraton hotels. It's near the swan lake hotel. Miraton and Hui Hua are around 350rmb, if you are paying 360 for the walter hotel, I would suggest staying in the Hui Hua (HH), its right across the street from the walter hotel, but HH is nicer and better.

I can show you ktvs for escort, however, it is going to be the same ktv pricing for girls, 2-5-8. This occurs at the common bar.... Most ktvs have them, but not all, you just need to order a couple of drinks and mommies will send you over some girls to pick. Maybe I just got a bad van as I took E&E in June and ZHGT in July. E&E had nice brand new Toyota Vans and the ZHGT one was a busted up slow moving chinese vehicle and unfortunately as was reported I ended up behind the driver and bumped along with two other guys in the middle row. After several stops at other hotels we ended up in some back alley transfer station in the outskirts of SZ to transfer some of the guys to another van before we reloaded into another van with our dusty bags which had been left in the dirt and proceded to the bridge border were the Olympic trunk search added another half an hour at 7:30 in the am. Even the transfer vehicle at the border had a broken seatbelt that took a few minutes to get it too work on the Hong Kong side of the trip. Probably would risk going via E&E even though its a half an hour later but would have still given me nearly two hours before takeoff. Still would prefer to go out of HKIA than the traffic congested slightly longer ride to GZ. Just a point of view.

Ask the E & E / SkyLimo personnel to write in mandarin/chinese where you want to go on a piece of paper, because once you pass the SZ boarder, your chances of someone who speaks English goes down a hell of a lot ;). Once through the SZ boarder, go up the stairs and overpass. As you cross this small overpass, you will see a query of red taxis with gray roofs. Show them the paper of where you want to go, and tell them 200rmb, or just use your phone and punch in “200”. The trip took about 1 hour, cause the guy was driving super slow near CP, I’m thinking he did not know where Miraton was. Yeah, was kind of new that the SZ taxi took me all the way there to CP. Anyways, if you don’t have RMB, just tell them to go to the Hui Hua Hotel, cause that little 7-11 wannabe exchanges USD to RMB.

Arrived in CP around 11 or so. Went straight to the Miraton Sauna 7th floor. Told the peps I wanted to sleep over. They said 298 for room and 300 for girl. I was like holy shit, no ride to CP. Then I asked one of the girls running the E&E service what I can do and she told me about the cabs. Anyways, 200 rmb was all I paid from SZ to CP. I actually befriended 4 other guys while traveling to the SZ boarder, they were in the same van. One of them talked to the taxi guy for me, and said 200, so I was like cool thanks. And jumped in and the taxi took me there, without a transfer.

As for Air Force One, it's in Sucat. Yeap, flew PAL, and had 4 hour layover. Just tell the taxi to go to Sucat SM Mall, if he does not know where AF1 is. It is just a couple of blocks before SM Mall Sucat, it should be on the right side, same as SM Mall Sucat. Don't go to Mall of Asia. Fucking taxis try to take you for a ride. I bet they all know where AF1 is. On the way back, the taxi took me to the wrong terminal (terminal 1, supposed to be Terminal 2), I even showed the dumbass the boarding pass. I said PAL internationl flight. So I had to take another taxi from terminal 1 to terminal 2.

As for Miraton, if you book ahead with a manager, you can get the discount without VIP card, I think???

People always assume due to holidays and special events things will change. I seriously doubt it is a singular event that reduces the amount of girls in CP, rather the growing up of CP that will do the trick.

Sure crime is less than in SA, but crime is crime and until your the victim, nobody really gives a shit. It does happen in CP often, I have seen it with my own eyes as well, though I have never been a victim. Just remember to be smart at all times. CP is a city full of migrant workers, most of whom are very poor and they know the players come there to play.

It seems like the Olympics has little or no effect on the ground action here in CP. It seems like business as usual. However, I have not visited any ktvs yet, but my friend says the BBS s are business like usual. Race Track has been going to KTVs and has reported that no change has occured either. The only change that I heard was for Good View, the hall of 400 girls are gone, and they are only doing line ups.

Last week I went to JiaYi, Virgin, Prince, FuHao (semi-strip with private bedroom), and two ChangAn strip KTVs. I also hung out with EggSalad and the Singapore crowd, who were a great bunch of guys.

The KTVs ranking from prim-and-propoer to naughtier were Prince, JiaYi, Virgin, FuHao and then the two ChangAn KTVs. Of those KTVs, I'd say Prince and JiaYi had the most variety in girl looks.

In the CA KTVs, the girls do not strip naked all night. Typically we'd get about half the girls to strip during a game of strip dice (with ourselves often stripping first, since we'd lose). Visiting DG for a few days. I've been out in Chang An for the past few days. Different experience than CP, no mommies grabbing and locking doors here. Haha. Actually, I've only been doing Sauna's and KTV's here. CA is known for basically Naked KTV, Footies (with a little extra) and Sauna's.

As for Sauna + Massages, I went to Infinitude and Jin Long Dao. Infinitude definetly has better rooms, but it's 198RMB, vs Jin Long Dao for 138RMB. But infinitude's girls were as "fun". The one I got had nice tits, but only allowed one pop. I would recommend Infinitude, if you want high end girls, they have models for 800RMB (room fee not included).

Jin Long Dao had a catwalk for picking girls, which was definetly interesting. Had about 20 girls on stage for me to pick. Pricing is the usualy 400/500/600 I believe. I got the 500 type, nice service even had the soapland service.

I heard there was a place called Lian Hua Shan? Apparently they even have Russian girls there! Hahaha, I'll have to go check that out sometime.

Mamasan/captain/manageresse told me that they categorize the girls according to age. The older ones can be had for 300, the SYTs go for 400. So overall, a better deal than before.

On Chang Ping DaDao, keep McDonald's, Starbucks, Walter hotel on your left. Keep Miraton, Huihua on your right. Go 2 traffic lights past the major intersection, turn left. Go about 100 meters, the hotel is on your right. For those familiar with CP, "it's close to the BBQ chicken restaurant".

Went there at 11:15 pm on a thursday night after KTV. Saw 3 lineups, 2-3 girls each. Only 1-2 girls in the 300 category, because mommy said they were busy (on a weeknight, off the beaten track, yeah, right!). I don't like older, high mileage girls so I picked one from the 400 category. For those of you who think that older girls give better service, you are about to be vindicated...

The f*****g girl takes her sweet time doing everything! 40 minutes to finish the shower, with only a short BJ, not to completion. Then she had to finish washing herself. Did a lot of wiping during first round BJ, like 10 wipes every minute. It's obviously a time wasting strategy. I told her to cut it out, but she had a million excuses as to why she had to do things her way. And on and on it went. Lame massage as part of her routine, etc. Still got 2 rounds out of her, but the strength of this place is supposed to good service, and it definitely was not.

Mamasan was long off duty by the time I finished, but she called me on my cellphone to ask how things went. Yeah, I complained, but you know how these things get handled in China. She offers her apologies. She promises to get me a good one next time. She will talk to and discipline the girl. A couple more complaints like this, and the girl is gone. Etcetera. (That, and 30 rmb gets me a quick fuck in the catacombs).

Having said that, I must admit that mamasan sounded sincere. And she called (at 1:15 am) to ask. Most places wouldn't bother.

This is my second time there. The first time I picked an older, Sichuan girl. Excellent service that time.

First impression:

The damn place is overpriced! Five star my ass, this at most a 4star Westin type joint. But I did get the poolside room, which is nice for taking a quick dip. Room was clean, shower, not bathtub. Need to wait for a golf cart to get back to the main building. Each room includes one breakfast, the other one will cost 138RMB. Mostly tourists here during the day, during night time the place is filled with mongers. I was told by the manager that their rooms usually sell out each night, since guys bring the KTV girls from the "entertainment street" up to the hotel to do the deed.

Entertainment Street:

Just a lot of girls, nothing too special. A few lookers made me almost want to ditch the girl I brought, but I figured i'd get better GFE outta her if I kept her around. Anyway, sat around the tables on the street, watched the shows, (some were entertaining, some were eh....). I have to say the place is pretty family friendly, I saw some kids running around and even older couples (who brings their wives to china anyway?). Also noticed a lot of foreigners at this place, any of our readers out there visiting Goodview these days? haha

All in all it was okay, the real fun was with my KTV girl back in the room. Going to stay here for another day and back to CA for some KTV fun. The place is in the middle of nowhere, and with rooms costing around 1000RMB, I don't think I"ll come here to monger. Also Taxi's leaving goodview to downtown Tangxia cost 30RMB flatrate, but if you take a taxi back it's only 15RMB? I bet this place is getting a cut of the Taxi fees.

In CP, in front of the HuiHua hotel, there are taxis waiting. They too demand a premium, 20 rmb for a typical 10 rmb ride. The only silly thing is that the distance from those taxis to the street is about 10 meters. All you have to do is walk those 10 meters, save 10 rmb, and laugh at those cabbies.

The first week of October is the Chinese National Day holiday, one of those so-called "Golden Weeks" when the whole country seems to be on the move.planes, trains and automobiles will all be congested. CP may not be that badly affected though, because the Hong Kong residents, the main source of CP visitors, don't have the weeklong holiday. Still, you should expect higher than normal activities. Make your hotel bookings now.

The mami gave me the 30 discount (cause i talk her i'd call her instead of another mami next time who was not there) but wanted either 50 or 100 to have two girls for one room (they must get a cut of the room price? and little from the girls also?) I want to say it was 100. She guaranteed quality and I think explained that she got cut of room, so if 2 girls one room, she needs cut from room not taken and taking girl out of rotation.

Anyway their rooms are pretty nice. you get basically the standard Huihua room with your own sauna. they say that you can stay until 12 noon but they came knocking at 11pm. What is very weird is that there are not windows (yeah you knew that.) but it makes the room very very dark and makes for a pretty good sleep after a long flight so keep that in mind gents.
It is dead quiet too. TVs are old CRTS like in the std rooms at HH.

I'd heard good things about the Swan Lake so decided to try it at SEAJ's recommendation. IMHO, the rooms are as nice as the Miraton where I usually stay. I did not check the broadband connection since I was only there for the day. I think we paid 218 or 228 RMB for the night.

The location is excellent for the Yalan BBS chicken run and you even have in-house BBS talent from the KTV stock. The night market is also within walking distance. I am not into KTV much, but I did spend a short time with the boys there, but brought my own girl from Baby's shop. BTW, do I owe you guys any money for that?

There is a hotel next door called the Clipper. I had a look at the Western/Chinese dinner buffet for I think 70+RMB. I wanted to go for it, but the boys wanted to eat light. I ended up with a steak at Mito's anyway.

Actually..... another great thing about the swan lake is the KTV. Really!! Yes, the same gals from the afternoon when they are a BBS....but that is why it's a great place to party.

I stayed in Changping last April and commuted to the Canton Fair each day. I would take a taxi to the rail station where there seemed to be a train every half hour or so. Arrive in Guangzhou station or Guangzhou South Station and take the metro to the fair. It took a little over 60min each way but I was happy enough as my rewards was good on my return to Changping each night!!!!!!
I'm going again this year but I arrive on the night of the 15th October and stay 6 nights. I think if there was 5 or 6 guys in Changping and going to the fair maybe it would be worth it to take a private car each day(not sure how long it would take by road). The cost by train : taxi to the station- 15/20rmb Train to GZ-50rmb Metro-10/15rmb and the same return.
When you get the cheap 4/5 star hotel (300 to 500 rmb) and the girls when you want them I think Changping is the best bet.

I am not sure which hotel in CP you are staying.

A few CP hotels offer shuttle direct to the Canton fair, but it leaves early in the morning and only twice a day.

You need to book ahead.

Take about 2 hr with traffic, but if you are new to the area this is the best way.

If you count the taxi to train station, and the subway in Guangzhou to the fair, it is about the same.

I think Hui Mei and miraton and a few other hotel is offering this check ahead.

I am not into picture taking that much so I will leave that to some of the experts in this field. However, my experience tells me it can be hit or miss. Some will agree, some will not, depending on how you approach them and what state of undress.

Took the private car from GZ airport (Baiyun ....sp???) to CP, it took over 2.5 hours and costs 600 rmb. It takes longer and costs more, even with 7 guys. Only pro to private van is not having to transfer taxi to train to taxi.

No quite sure myself how I do it actually!! We arrived quite late at Swanlake KTV that night, around 9 or 10 PM. I wanted to pick 2, but could not find another one to my liking. The one I did pick was pretty, but kept finding excuses to leave the KTV room. I told her to stop doing it. She said she had to dance on the main stage later (they parade the prettier girls around) so had to leave again. Anyway, words were exchanged, and there was no point in taking her after that.

Went to a sauna instead, which is what I usually do after KTV. Unless I get some really good vibes off the KTV girl(s), I figured I will get much better service at the sauna.

Guys I have been around long enough and been to enough destinations to know that each destination is different.

I had always been quoted 500 for overnight with BBS girls, though it will depend on your negotiation skills and the time you take them. of course being a laowei negates my negotiation skills a bit. Might be less for locals for fluent speakers.
