From years ago, one of my first posts.
Left Mia on Friday 27th. Followed my usual routine of not telling any chica's I'm coming. This gives me a day to check out the new inventory before I fall back to the regulars.

He doe's a u-turn and stop's right in front of Domino bar. I hear my Sosua name yelled from behind the bar. I look up stupidly and say "hola mi amor" and "mas tarde" and go to Europa.

Using Irfanview thumbnails I can easily erase such information from photos.

I'm in Medellin in a few day's, and your right fare's are cheap now. Luna luneras, Sandiego, America's and Mayorista are my hangout's. These are strip clubs and strip's that have room's on site, plus takeout is avaliable cheap.

arrived sdq noon thursday 23rd. after getting luggage they have this long runway with people on both side's waiting. it's the closest i'll get to being a celebrity. at the end of the runway i see a guy holding an advertisement for gogo taxi. my stupid ass smiled thinking someone sent a taxi for me. the problem with that is no one knew i was coming. passed gogo taxi and negoitiated a 35usd taxi ride to palacio.

(damn i'm writing this as i travel metro bus sd-sosua, and all these fine chick's just got off at santiago). anyway left the park and got a call from jaososua. hooked up with him and he gave me the tour. stopped at 360, gpb, la prada, lapus etc.

First of all I learned everything I know about Sosua from you guys. Hell, I'd never even heard of Sosua before I stumbled onto this board. Shit, now you say you're going to Medellin, I wonder what else I have missed in my life.
What's "special"? The chica lives with her momma and bambina, far away from Sosua. Her life seems to revolve around them and the extended families. She has another branch of the family in Choramicos where she bases herself and the bambina when I'm there. She has family and friends working in Sosua, and she knows most of the "cousins" who work there in the bars, hotels and restaurants so it's obvious she was "active" there in the past. They (including the guys) all seem to treat her with a great deal of respect though,and with a wave of her hand she can send relatives, bartenders, motos, cleaning ladies and hotel waiters on personal errands for anything we might need. Charger, phone, usb cable, calle commida? It's all there in minutes, and for pennies.
The guys in her family are my buddies now, and when I was on the back of a motorcycle with the brother and uncle going to a bar in a town a hundred miles from the nearest white guy, I jokingly asked am I safe here? He put my hand under his t-shirt and there was a Glock stuck in his pants. OK?
The Money?, I give her most of my week's budget as soon as I get off the plane (she loves that) and she doles it out to family for bar b ques, Domingo party, bars bills, taxis, tips and such and generally spends less than I would. If I'm happy I sometimes leave a bigger tip, which she frowns upon usually. She keeps what's left. (You might say she's in competion with DR Man, lol)

One tactic I have taken with a repeat chica like this is to set the stage at the beginning of our time together that I only bring so much down on "vacation" and am not an endless pit of money. I then go on to tell her that her that whatever cash is left at the end of our "vacation" is her regalo. I NEVER tell her how much I start with and in my mind I set how much I want to give her based on the quality of the "vacation".
You will be amazed at how frugal the chica becomes, because now in her mind she is spending HER MONEY, not yours. She may start to want to skip meals, offer to cook meals, not be so demanding on doing something and so on.

Excellent advice, but it only works with the right chica, they're hard to find and it takes time to build that trust.
I guess it's a no brainer really. Who can lay on the best week's party at least cost. Me, or my local chica and her lifelong network? The hard part is finding somebody compatible who you can trust with your money.
I'm always looking around to see if I could replicate the relationship if (or when) this one should go bad.

What airline was that? I use Continental Airlines exclusively and they have had the 24 hour hold as long as I can remember. Originally they would hold your reservation without charging your CC for frequent fliers. Recently they changed that to now they charge your CC but you can cancel within 24 hours without a fee.

The DR already has a large haitian population (a million plus - more than 10% of the population) and it's fairly segregated. There are a lot of DR born haitians that speak excellent spanish but still are not citizens and can't get a cedula. Many haitian majority towns started as cane plantations and the DR has lots of 'bateyes' that started as cane cutter quarters. I don't know if 'El Batey' section of Sosua is an ironic reference to this or not but a Batey basically translates as 'Ghetto' in more the original euro-jewish sense and of course Sosua started as a jewish refugee settlement.(The word itself though is a taino word, it just has acquired this meaning).
Montellano is a good example near Sosua. Big old sugar mill (I think still closed for the last several years but I heard about deals to reopen) at the center and a number of traditional bateyes surrounding it. It's a haitian majority town going back generations.
The latest waves of immigration since the earthquake tend to go to the traditional haitian towns and bateyes. The tiny spillover in places like sosua is just a side effect.
There has been a lot of tension and occasional outbreaks of violence. Haitians are a classic minority underclass and have few legal rights and not much power. The current recession and influx of refugees make the tensions worse but they're a permanent aspect of Dominican society.

I use the free realplayer. After you download the free realplayer (choose to download the option for free video downloader tool). Afterwards when you open a browser (chrome, firefox or internet explorer) and you open youtube (or other sites with videos), when you scroll near the top right corner of the video, a small box should pop up asking if you want to download that video.
In realplayer you can set the folder where you want the videos to be stored.
After you have downloaded videos, you can open realplayer, click "My Library" then click videos and your downloaded videos will appear. When you scroll over the icon for a video, a list of options will appear, click more and you can chose convert.
Youtube videos are in flv video format and usually will not play on portable devices. Using the convert option you can convert the flv video to wma or quicktime or other formats so that you can see the video on portable devices.
I download music videos and convert them to mp3, easy and free way to get music.
All the talk on the DR boards is about the police crackdowns. Several months ago I visited the DR. I remember going into Passions(Peters place) and wondering how he could be expanding when economically everyone else was hurting. Its as if he had an inside connection who warned him about current events. On top of that CMP opened right up the street with the same model. They are in position to benefit by the street crackdown.

It is close to Sosua, doesn't have the Sosua reputation, and has been an older guys Sosua for years. The older guys follow their own pricing structure and choose not to monger with younger guys. They have funds to spare and pay extra to avoid the bullshit. Alot of these guys don't go near Sosua. Its as if Sosua was created to take the pressure off this paradise and allow it to fly under the radar, thus allowing the older guys to protect their secret.
My point is mongerers have to up their game. Learn spanish and explore. My next trip very soon will be about adjusting to life post Sosua.

Spent yesterday going to Puerto Plata to take care of some biz in the early afternoon. Then I called my Sosua favorita and asked her to come play house with me. We fucked, slept, and fucked again. After 20 minutes J hasnt purchased a drink, actually the girls working there got tired of asking him. I leave and go to Latinos to start my path to Classicos. I had invited my dominican bodyguard up from Puerto Plata to have a few drinks and give a few pesos. He told me he had a surprise for me also. At 11:30pm he calls and asks where I'm at?. I say latinos and he says meet him at Classicos. When I arrived he was at the bottom of the steps to Classicos, we hug and walk right in without paying. His new gig was doing security at Classicos.
Also just so everyone knows as of next week smoking will be banned inside Classicos.

Started the day out having Orange Juice at one of my favorite bars. A guy I met a couple trips ago was also there(lets call him Mark). I got back last night from my second DR trip - four nights in Sosua, followed by three nights in Blackbeard's. I don't actually think I did too badly for a newbie in Sosua; after all, I wasn't robbed, my pocket wasn't picked, and I got out of there with my luggage and my body parts intact. But I'm kind of ashamed to say that the highlight of my So-Sewer sex tourist vacation was the scuba diving!
How did I manage that? Simple - I was at cross-purposes. Mr. Gogo and Chief Justice saw that when I ended my one visit to Classico's early - at 1 AM - leaving without the cute little chica who had been waggling her bunda almost in my face - because "I have a date on the reef with a fish tomorrow morning."
Sosua impresses me definitely as the "Wild West" of mongering, and I've got to say I was definitely out of my league there. Yes, I had some good encounters and happy endings, but sure-as-hell not all of them. I erred more on the side of caution than on the side of "getting out there," and I blew some great opportunities because I hadn't prepared for the good side - like my brief visit to CMP that totaled two drinks and no play, because I'd carried only enough 'effectivo' with me for supper; I knew I had a bullseye on my back for the pickpockets, and I didn't want to lose too big a wad. I made the same mistake when I went up to Four Roses (and the chicken-grillers across the street - yum!) and one of the 'old hands' I'd been hanging with at the New Garden (a netizen of a board that competes with ISG - sorry, Jackson) took me up from there to La Passions for what turned out to be all too brief a visit. I didn't get pickpocketed, and I didn't get laid either. My foul, my harm.
The "combined high and low" has to have been my encounter with the Santiago Sisters, after lunch at the New Garden on Thursday. A Happy Hour gone remarkably wrong. I made all the mistakes - buying them lunch, taking them both up to my room, playing in my room's jacuzzi with the both of them; even though they're quite petite, it was much too crowded for the three of us in that tub. And I hadn't been prepared for the fact that 'Dickhardinho' would be intimidated by the both of them. No happy ending for me in that experience, but the amazing memory of the two of them sharing that hot tub with me is one I will cherish anyways.
The scuba-diving was by no means amazing, guys. It was good, certainly from the viewpoint of someone who was used to diving in five-foot visibility and wearing a heavy 7mm wetsuit. But I got four times as many dives as I got muff-rides and I came home with $500 that I failed to spend on pussy.
Damn it, I went there to fuck, not to fuck up!
Oh well. As I said earlier, I've been doing some personal inventory of the 'short comings' I showed last week in Sosua. After pondering these very seriously, I believe there may be some benefit to starting a sort of Twelve-Step Program to deal with such 'problems.'
Seems to me we might call our support group 'Chicaholics Unanimous'. (We are already anonymous enough behind our handles on ISG.)
Here's what I came up with for the Twelve Steps of this program:
Chicaholics Unanimous - the Twelve Steps
1. We admit we are powerless over our peckers, and our lust has become unmanageable.
2. We believe that punana could restore us to sanity.
3. We decide to turn our money (as appropriate) and our peckers over to the care of the chicas.
4. We make a searching and fearless immoral inventory of the girls at Classicos, La Passions, CMP, and those two famous blocks of Avenida Pedro Clisante.
5. We admit to ourselves and our selected chicas the exact nature of our desires.

I think as long as a chica can keep her body up they can float in and out of the Sosua scene as needed. This is not my magic, it comes from the WHO (World Health Organization) and it is known as ORS--Oral Rehydration Salts....
Given the velocity of the onset of cholera and the violent displays of watery diarrheas and vomiting, rehydration through saline drips is just too slow. They suggest first-aid at once:"711".
7 teaspoons of sugar
1 teaspoon of salt
1 litre of good water (boiled at least 10 minutes, chlorinated or bottled)
Administered orally until more professional assistance becomes available.

The occupancy rate in resorts from Puerto plata to Sosua to Cabarete has fallen mainly due to the economy and but it is possible that there are complaints of prostituition. So the government want to clean up the place and get rid of sex tourists. I guess it is the demand from the resort owners and new morality crusaders in the political establishment.
However all these girls will start plying their trade in the daytime avoiding bars at night.

I'm reminded of the vacant store-front across from Scuba Elite, with a realtor's sign in English and Russian ... which surprised me, but now it surprises me less. So in the course of a week, immediately returning from a Month long trip to DR I, ostensibly have returned to work, hated every second of life in the real world, fought with my girlfriend subsequently broken up with my girlfriend, ducked a bullet from the job for taking a MONTH off from work when I was suppose to only have been gone for 2 weeks and have Planned my return to the DR for 2 months extended in about 3-4 months, leaving in March coming back to the states in July.
Enough about my drama now on to the story so, as I alluded to in my self-absorbed preamble to my report I stayed in DR for one month I have dubbed myself a DR vet with a total of 5 trips for a combined stay of about 1 year.
But, I know I have so much more to learn. I feel like I have finally got my feet wet and feel like a puppy that has opened his eyes for the first time.
So, I have stayed in Santiago for about 2 weeks or more, Sosua for about a week, Samana for about a week. This report is about Santiago. I was surprised about Santiago. My first visit to DR I was told about women from Santiago that they were difficult, unapproachable, out of my league, etc. You get the picture. This couldn't be any further than the truth after my time there I developed a health rotation of women in and out of my room. I had plenty of women to choose from the phone would not stop ringing.
Location #1 Hotel Matum is the best stay was moderately helpful however they were completely unconcerned with who was going in and out of my room which could be a pro/con. CON: If you get robbed they don't have the girls ID. Pro: No added embarrassment for you or the girl having to stop at the desk to drop off ID and equally so in the morning. Etc.
Location #2 Bar Selena 2 its location is Nibaje, Santiago AV Franco Bido#53, which is about a 8 minute ride from the Monumento. The bar is in a decent middle class neighborhood. I found it buy chance. I was jogging through ensueno, one of the next neighborhoods below the monument, and I got lost. The neighborhood of Nibaje looks a little tuff but I have dark skin so I was able to blend in, I assume anyway. The owner and I are looking at each other like what the fuck the transmission is dead ass, aren't you going to check the fluid or look under the damn car. By 10am there was 4 mechanics out there 11 the first mechanic called 3 more by 12pm it was 10 assholes out there scratching their heads and there ass yes in that order looking at each other.

I found it buy chance. I was jogging through ensueno, one of the next neighborhoods below the monument, and I got lost. Santiago is not a prime tourist destination. I have stayed in Aloha Sol twice, and they are as you describe Matum, people get in and out without register in the lobby. I believe monger guests represent a low percentage of clients and that there is no problem with chicas in the area. Nice to read your travel report.

OMG Colonial is a shithole I wouldn't tell my worst enemy to stay there. Everytime I feel asleep I heard a huge rat at my window(with a great view of a brick wall) trying to squeeze his way in my from thru the air conditioner-fucking gross.
Platino had tiny rooms(base price rooms) I had just barely enough room to fit two ppl inside. OMG the cleaning ladies knocked on our door every day for 6 days at fuck'n 6am I couldn't believe it. she even tried to come in a clean I had to scream at her to stop it don't come and what did she do the next day. Knock on the fuck'n door at 6am I complained to the front desk. I thought I was in the twilight zone. Platino is in a great location, but the hotel is sub par to me.
Matum has got my business for at least another trip before I begin getting apartments. I love the casino next door and a fuck'n club builtin the hotel. U got to be kidding me am I in vegas...ja ja.
On one random night I was en the lobby one draw back no wifi in the rooms only in the lobby area, anyway I say 2 horrible looking chicas obviously working. I asked how much 100USD I laughed so hard I coughed the chicas were offended. I asked no really how much. so we played that game for a minute.

This is true packed up my crap in 10 min and rushed to the metro.
I didn't a lot of online, social networking sites, work that I needed more time to get girls over and set up a rotation like I'd done in Santiago. But the street action was low and risky. I needed at that time to get up to the SO-sewer and get around a better vibe and friends.
The quality of Santo Domingo is good but, its can cost. Places like 305 have some great quality however $100usd adds up after a while.
We did hit a couple of casas that were for the local crowd and were told that we could get happy hour 2x1 1500RD for one hour, this special is only good before 5 or 8pm. Again the quality was under that of the mainstream mongering spots like club 305 and that other spot on the same street.

Sosua news has an article about the meeting that took place regarding the future of Sosua. Seems the folks in charge of these changes and the crackdown, kind of know what they are doing is illegal, i.e. arresting any woman they want because they think she MIGHT be a prostitute. Kind of fucked up also since prostitution is legal in Dom Rep.
There is no Dominican Civil Liberties Union, so there are no lawyers who would work for free to protect the Rights of women who are lawfully walking the streets and being arrested for breaking no law.
Really no surprise why so many Dominicans want to get out of DR, there own government will abuse them with no way for them to seek justice. All because the guys in charge worship the almighty dollar.

Hey Combo, I have seen from some of your post that you a serious about visiting the DR. Here is my advice:
Given that Sosua at present is an "uncertain" destination spot right now (especially after yesterday) you may want to look at staying at Blackbeard's in Puerto Plata. This is the first place I stayed at during my first ever visit to DR. Its set up similar to New Garden and is perfect for someone who does not speak much or any Spanish.
At night ( ended up meeting a few guys while there) we would take a taxi to Sosua for 1500 RD both directions and the driver stayed until we found chicas (in Classico's) and were ready to go back to Blackbeard's.
This way you have yourself covered because if Sosua is only busy at night then you have all the chicas at BB's to occupy you during the daytime.
Read the Puerto Plata forum for more info. They are talking about the place all the time in there...

for the tree huggers there is the plan to clean the ghastly pollution from the sosua bay feeder rivers with a bio-reactor, whatever one of those is!. however, if you saw the presentation you would never bathe on sosua beach again.
the meeting then got really dull with legal type issues and association voting and it never addressed the 2 main issues highlighted by the president in his opening speech.
however.
i was introduced to a very, very big cheese who is orchestrating the puta crackdown and had the opportunity to discuss this issue with this person face to face.
this person confirmed to me:
a. that any girl that looks like a puta in the opinion of the police (from their dress style) that is walking the streets of central sosua (i. e. p. clisante and it's immediate environs) will be arrested.
b. there is no plan to enter bars to arrest girls, girls are at liberty to be in bars.
c. girls will only spend a maximum 24 hours in sosua police station.
d. there is no plan to send the girls to puerto plata prison for 3 days.
e. undocumented haitianas will not be deported.
f. there are only 7 bars targeted to be enclosed from view. they are bar bermuda, el flow, bar central, sosua life, winners circle, merengue and seacrets. with the exception of seacrets all have agreed to comply. i was told seacrets will be enforcibly closed tomorrow. no other bar or restaurant in sosua has to comply with this order.
g. this person agreed that girls could be in other areas of town with little fear of police attention due to the limited resources of the police.
h. places like cmp and similar venues are on their radar screens for immediate future action. meetings being held tomorrow with the owners. watch this space!
i. the authorities are also fully aware that what is being done is absolutely unconstitutional and oppressive and a legal challenge could come from the bar owners or a representative of the 'oppressed' girls at any time. looks like it's going to be a fun weekend.

Not to be a grump here, but Sosua had gotten a little seedy and a little rough around the edges. I am not the only Monger on this board that found Sosua to be less than desirable. A little cleanup, I have no problem with, how they accomplished the cleanup I may have a problem with.

Several casas in Santo Domingo have prices starting at 1000 pesos. A casa chica generally will not try to rob and knife you. Casa prices are not necessarily more expensive.
There were some undesirable Dominican guys in Sosua. I would never miss the smoke from some motorcycles in Sosua. Put emission controls on vehicles there, so you could walk around Sosua in clean air.

I had a rental apartment at Tradewinds in Sosua. I had a normal chica with me, she was from Bonao and she took the bus to visit me in Sosua. The Santiago pro had a nervous breakdown in the apartment, she started crying about her son, drama and my wingman lost all interest in her, he did nothing with her. He gave her some money and said he was not going to do anything with her. She tried to steal the cell phone of the Bonao chica. I would not let the Santiago chica out of the apartment, because she had the Bonao chica's cell phone.
The Santiago chica pulled out a 6 inch switch blade knife and came at me with it. I grabbed her wrist and took the knife away. The chica from Bonao was there and witnessed everything.
The watchieman came up to the apartment, the santiago chica got out of the apartment and she tried to attack the watchieman. Eventually the police came, and they told the Santiago chica to give them the cell phone she had tried to steal. She had pushed the cell phone up into her pussy to try and hide it. The police took the cell from her. The retrieval of the cell phone from her pussy occurred out on the street in front of tradewinds.
I had to drive to the small Sosua police station and wait. I was told to take off my belt and empty my pockets, I was being detained by the police. After about 4 hours we drove over to the Sosua government building and I went into a small office with the Judge and the chica. The chica said she had pain in her abdomen and it was my fault (maybe sticking a cell phone up your pussy will cause pain), based on her statement that I had caused her abdominal pain the Judge was considering sending me to Jail. The Santiago chica had no bruises, no marks anywhere on her body and I had two witnesses, the bonao chica and the watchieman (who was also attacked).
The Dominican Judge saw it as an opportunity to stick it to the Gringo and said I had to pay her 1000 pesos or I would go to jail. Going to Jail would not be fun and I would have to pay more money to a Dominican Lawyer to get me out of Jail. I bit the bullet and paid the 1000 pesos.
I learned a lesson. I had not chosen that chica, my wingman chose her, but she tried to steal the cell phone of my chica, so I got stuck with the problem.
Shit happens. I still love the DR and have lots of fun there. Bullshit can happen to anyone.
That acid stuff can be nasty, be careful with certain chicas, no matter how big and strong a guy may be, if you get acid thrown on your skin it will be terrible.
The police crackdown in Sosua is not such a bad thing if they can keep the hardcore nasty violent thieving chicas out of Sosua. Better for all mongers who go to Sosua not having those types of chicas there.
