For one hour of oil full body massage. From 150 k to 200 k (a bit less than hotel without the fucking random). Two remarks: first on the top of menus they write first with 1/2 hour, so be careful if you like one hour, second last night it was late around midnight a little thing of 40 kg bargain me hard 100 k for one hour so I said "you convinced me" haha. Ok so I'm going to focus this post specifically on NPK although I'll be posting more in the future.

Long time philanderer, brand new to mongering. Few weeks ago I met a business guy who insisted I go with him to get a massage that had a happy ending. Anyway, I went out again with the business guy to Lush on LTT but had to go home early because I had a super important meeting this morning. Horrible Experience or stroke of bad luck?

It's about 11:00 pm and I was pretty drunk and I walk in and directly ask the mama if this place included the "use of mouth" to which she said yes. No girls in sight but she promises the girl would be pretty. I ask her how much and she says 400 k so I agreed cause it just didn't seem like a ridiculous price compared to what the business guy paid for me to get a massage & HJ (1.75 million).

She leads me up to the room and tells me to get comfortable and I go into the bathroom to wash off my junk. I know girls appreciate that so I want to make them happy so they give me better service. The girl comes in and asks me to undress to my undies which I do. Shittiest massage I've ever had. She was slapping my back. After about 5-10 minutes she asks me to turn around and then starts giving me a HJ while licking and kissing my chest. I let her do this for a few minutes cause I want he to get comfortable with me while we talk and I feel her up. She's still in her clothes but let's me roam. Anyway after a few moments I tell her I want her to use her mouth. She refuses and then I say this is what I want. She says I still have to pay 200 k for the room. After we spend about 5-10 minutes arguing about what's what I decide to call my friend and ask him what he thinks I should do. He says just pay it and be on your way (I didn't want to initially out of principle but at this point was annoyed and just wanted to go home.) I ended up paying 200 k for a 5-10 minute massage with a little roaming and not the service I directly asked for. I know 200 k isn't the end of the world but it definitely sucks being cheated when you directly told them what you wanted and didn't get it (remember I told her I was only interested in the BBJ upon walking in.).

Take away for me is that you should ask them how much for the room, how much for the tip. I thought it was 100 k for the room and 300 k tip but she told me it's 200 k for the room regardless of whether or not I got what I wanted. This really annoyed me. Also I'd advise negotiating whether or not you can switch girls if she isn't up to your liking. Furthermore, I'd agree with one many previous people have said about not being rushed. I made this mistake too cause I was drunk and just wanted a quick service before going home and getting some sleep. Your power here is that they know there's dozens of other places within a short distance. Make sure you pull the mama / papasan aside before hand and tell them what you want or what you expect if it goes south (like with me).

Now that I think about it, maybe I shouldn't have immediately dressed but instead have asked her to get someone else? What do you experienced guys think about what happened to me?

Did you converse in Vietnamese? No communication issues? Just let the girls wash you in the cubicles. Don't expect a massage.

IMO girls do not like customers who are obviously drunk, unless they plan to rob them. If you have drunk a bit it's better to revisit a shop / girl who already knows you.

I wouldn't take a girl who was sent to me in a room or who grabbed me as I walked in the door. If you choose from a line up you get a chance to evaluate each girl's reaction and make an educated guess as to their attitude. Simply request a line up, and if they won't provide one, walk.

You probably should have gone down and demanded a replacement performer from the mama-san. Your friend was right to tell you to pay the 200 k, but no Vietnamese customer would have given them money for nothing but disrespect.

In general, it seems to me that foreigners have a tougher time punting in Vietnam than in most other countries in the region. It's a commercial encounter. It's natural for them to try to get as much as they can for as little as they can give. When they encounter any weakness or lack of experience it's like pushing at an open door for them. Compare the interactions with tourists at Ben Thanh market. And consider how few tourists want to return to Vietnam.

You are quite right about not being rushed. And walk. Practice walking away from transactions. Walk even when you see an attractive target. Make a polite excuse. You can always go back.

Being 30 (although uglier than your brother) you can find a gem outwith the P4P arena, but it will take time. Younger Vietnamese guys have the same problem. Hence the market for the hot tocs.

Also, not to cross threads, but I'd be interested in your experiences at 795 Ka Thy, taking a ST room and hanging around the elevator.

I mentioned in my reply that 400 k is the current price. If you had read the forum a little you would have understood that this is the full payment expected from tourists. In other words the highest, all-inclusive price. Locals tend to pay 200 k to the house and give 50-100 k to the girl. When you pay 400 k the mama-san takes her share and gives the girl her cut (you may call this the 'tip' - I would prefer to use the word 'fee'.

In the Western sense of the word, there is no 'tipping' in Vietnam, only overpaying. Bob is quite right about negotiating: it's standard to ask an inflated price to test if you are a sap / weakling / schmuck and then treat you accordingly, chasing more money and reducing quality of service.

Don't tip more than 1 m or maybe an extra 100 "lucky money" for Tet.

D2 is about 150 k each way in a taxi from D1.

Bamboo has disappeared: I wasn't a fan of the over boiled cabbage smell anyway.

By far one of the best options for mongering in VN. But in SGN / HCM in general. Went to the same shop on NPK about three times, and each experience was the same. So spectacular. From reading the forums I just remember 84 NPK. And just had my grab driver drop me off close to there. The street is filled with at least 5-6 shops, mostly on one side of the road, but a few on the opposite. For each time I went, I walked up and down the street, trying to stare through the windows to see how many girls were in each shop. Many of them will have at least two to three. There was one shop that always had many more. I don't remember the address but you can just do the walking method and look in. Anyways, there's usually a gentleman outside guiding you in, but you can always ignore. I politely decline. I know a little bit of Vietnamese, so declining wasn't difficult for me. Anyways, I always found myself back at the same shop, it just always had the most girls and the cutest, again sorry I forgot the address. They all wore yellow dresses. Sure you can tip up to 400 or even 500 if you wan't. It's your money. But why do that when you can just as easily pay the going rate of 200,000 or 250,000 ?

I found a lot of great HTGD in Saigon but I fear to share them. I'll come back a few weeks later and the expected prices will double or triple. You have to know the prices in Vietnam. If you don't the locals will eat you alive!

They will. We've seen it time and time again. I like to share info. Here it's not needed. There are 20 places posted here for the over payers to continue to visit. If you have a spine you can get away with paying the going rate in those places anyway. For now I have to keep the places I found to myself. But really they're not so difficult to locate. Just keep your eyes open and ask around. It's mostly Vietnamese guys who go to these places. In my experience, they're happy to show you where.

Of course they can be flexible depending on how busy they are etc. Most locals pay 300 k total, so it's a fair price.

400 k has been the standard price asked from foreigners since 2015 at Tuan Tam, other shops caught up fairly quickly. Of course they can be flexible depending on how busy they are etc. Most locals pay 300 k total, so it's a fair price.Actually, a "fair price" is 300 k, because that is THE price. My comment about 400 k being a fair price there was made in the context of other punters regularly paying 500 k and more.

I am an avid reader, but this is my first post. I thought I would share my experience at Bennys.

I was in HCM earlier this week from Tuesday to Saturday. After work on Tuesday, I had two hours to kill and decided to get a grab to Bennys Hot Toc. I stayed at the LE Meridien so it only took me 10 minutes to get there in a grab. The grab dropped me right off in the front. The door is wide open and is open to a mezzanine area. This is the first time that I have been to one of these or to Vietnam in general. Was surprised at how easy it was and how easy the whole process was.

Every HTGD has a house fee. It is usually 100 - 150 k. On top of that you tip. A tip is by definition up to you. In HCMC the standard is up to the price of the ticket. No Vietnamese guys pay more than double the ticket. Neither do I. Neither should you. Why would you? You don't get better service.

There is no "quote". You know the price, so you pay it. If you ask for prices in Vietnam, you are asking to get ripped off. Pay the house fee and double it. That means you would never spend more than 300 k on a blowjob. At most places you pay 200 k. That's it.

Addresses in HCMC can confuse people because the same street address, meaning same street name and street number, exists in different places. It's because they are in different district, that's why all address will have the district (in vietnamese quan, or Q) and subdistrict (in vietnamese phuong or P). So it's best to report an address with its Q and P number, a Q can also be a name by the way.

- BusMap is a very good App for the public bus system for Ho Chi Minh. Only 5K or 6K. It seems you need to get out of District 1 to get lower prices.

The problem is that's not really how it works. But foreigners have set it up so that some now think they can do this with white guys. In reality you pay AFTER. You can give a tip to the girl than pay the ticket to mom. Or you pay all to the mom and she gives the tip to your girl. Or you pay all to your girl. This works when you know the ticket price in advance. Then you just walk in and grab whoever you want. If they see that you're a newbie they will take advantage of you. Because this is Vietnam.

Funny thing is if you get away from the places where they see all the foreigners, they don't even know how to rip you off properly yet. So they won't even ask for the money up front. They just assume you know how it works since you're already there.

They only ask up front in places like Benny's and the NPK HTGD now because thousands of foreigners have wandered in looking clueless and asking "how much?

Next time, go to a place other than NPK or Benny's. They're not hard to find. Then just walk in. Grab the girl you like most, not whoever they try to push on you. Go to the room. Get head. Pay all to the girl after you're finished. All means 200 - 300 K. Usually 200. Then you walk out. They'll respect you as a seasoned old hand, and you'll be paying the proper rates.

I have been to HTGD literally hundreds of times and I have never paid up front even once.

To make a crude comparison, say Bangkok rates 7/10 as a destination for punters.

I would rate Saigon 10/10. Then,

Subtract 1 if you are unusually tall or heavy, or make that 2 if you are obese.

Subtract 2 unless you speak at least modest Vietnamese.

Subtract 2 if you are not Vietnamese, 3 if you are Caucasian.

Then consider how the typical Bangkok gogo or beer bar patron will fare here.

Given that you were already overpaying in 2017 and now the official price even for locals on npk is 200+200 you will probably feel that is acceptable. Also given that you have expressed sexual interest in a 45 yr old then the girls looks may be acceptable for you.

As to your cafe om, I believe your were grossly overpaying, 120 k for your coffee and the your would tip 100 k, at that time in 2017 it was 120 k incl the tip it was something like 40 k for the drink and normally you would round up to 100 k. So, I did not post about my latest explorations in HCM last year, but I can assure you that they were most enjoyable.
