I did indeed go to Chong Hua for one round of tests. (after Hi-Precision came up with nothing) And they recommended me to the infectious disease doc I'm seeing as she's apparently one of the five best in Cebu.
I'm sure whatever I've got is all over the place. There was some French guy sitting next to me in the waiting room 2 months ago when this started, the whole time flipping through his Tinder matches. He went in before me and the doc said he had the exact same thing but he didn't appear to be slowing down.
Oh, also, I looked it up on the CDC and there are actually 2 different recommended treatments using doxycycline- one lasts 7 days and one lasts 15. The good news is if the discharge is now less, it may be on the way out. It's funny how when a question like this pops up everybody weighs in with opinions.
Tests are always the first step, the docter takes a swab or you do a "first catch", test. That is, what (the politically correct word police won't let me put down the word for going to the toilet), you first let go after you wake up in the morning. Get that through the labs and you are at a starting point as you can see what you are dealing with.
You would be surprised how often it is something else. But! Your symptoms sound disconcerting. I would recommend the tests. You could probably fly to Singapore and get checked there for less than the cost and risk of a dodgy test in Phils. Countries like Singapore take public health very seriously and would certainly have a comprehensive response if you indeed have something. Sometimes the discharge is just dead DNA, so the test will detect chlamydia but you have already killed it if you have been eating azithro.
The other aspect of STD's is that of your mental health, you can feel like a total loser and having to lay off sex can drive you double crazy. Relax!, those bacteria were around way before you got here. Julias Ceaser died of syphilis. Its not so bad, you will get better if not already thanks to modern medicine and you are still a good guy. My experience is I think I have a STD. Eat the Azithro, get tested almost immediately, some tests have come back negative. Wonder if I am going crazy. (syphilis). Start the loop again ha ha.
A proper test should take several days, if they actually do the labs.

If you are having questions or not getting better, have the doctor use a different laboratory or use a doctor that uses a different laboratory or both. Most hospitals have their own laboratory on site and thus tend to be a little safer, though it is no guarantee.

I have no doubt there are many sham or cut price places about but I did not use them. The overall cost of the hospital and antibiotics was negligible for me but I am sure way out of the price range of the hookers who live more or less hand to mouth.

I completely agree, it happened to me afew years ago, the first thing I did was take the antibiotics for a week and then I was completely cured, it only cost like 200 php, so texting all the girls I had sex with was a no-brainer for me.

* Doctor consultation fee: 2,000.
* Lab fee for a urine test for gonorrhea and chlamydia: 7,500.
* Pharmacy fee for antibiotics: 2,000.
The whole process (doctor, lab, pharmacy) takes less than two hours.
Urine labs have results within 6 working hours (same day if you do them in the morning). You can get the results online. Make sure to ask them for the instructions while you're there, or you can come back for a physical copy if you forget. If you have symptoms, the doctor will likely prescribe you the antibiotics on the spot without waiting for the lab results.
If you have medical insurance and you plan to file a claim with them, make sure to request a medical certificate from the doctor. Insurance will deny your claim without it.
The doctors only appear to accept cash, but the lab and pharmacy accept credit cards.

This is just not true. A vaginal smell is caused by a bacterial infection. The only bacterial infections classified as STIs you are likely to encounter are chlamydia or gonorrhea. This is just not true. A vaginal smell is caused by a bacterial infection. The only bacterial infections classified as STIs you are likely to encounter are chlamydia or gonorrhea. Both of these will cause an odor. These are both identified with a pee test which a bargirl gets weekly. If the girl has HIV she will not smell. Once again, it's not a pap smear. That would be pointless to do weekly. They all have HPV and likely we do too. There's no test for men. The van is a pee test or a swab test, which would only find a bacterial infection, which would be the most common thing you would get weekly. If you read my post, I went over all of the 'diseases' you mentioned, and yes many require a blood test. None of my statements were false. Genital herpes is dangerous?? It may be a little annoying, and it certainly has a social stigma, but it is not dangerous. I am not advocating for anyone to do anything. First, let me complete the list. The bacterial STDs that are most common are chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis. All are curable, although gonorrhea may become completely resistant in the near future. Lymphogranulopma venereum is a type of chlamydia that is distinct with painful ulcers; after these heal, lots of big lymph nodes, some of which may ulcerate. It can be very painful and lead to numerous horrible complications like anal strictures and pus filled lymph nodes. It is not common, thank God and is curable with a long course of antibiotics. Mycoplasma genitalium is a bacterium that is common but mostly asymptomatic. Its hard to diagnose and doesn't respond well to antibiotics when diagnosed. It causes pain on urination, usually goes away on its own and the long term effects are probably minimal but a lot is unknown. Probably not a major concern, even though it is common.
Hemophilus ducreyi should be added to the list. It is a bacterium and it causes chancroid, a painful disease with ulcers and big lymph nodes. It is easily cured if diagnosed (not hard to diagnose, but it is rare and some doctors are amazingly uneducated). Really rare is shigella, which is most easily caught with receptive anal sex (ie, getting fucked in the ass). Most guys on the ISG don't need to worry. One should never forget pubic lice and scabies. Hepatitis A and be: Extremely rare to catch through sex but curable through antiviral medication. There are vaccines for these. You should get them.
Hepatitis see: Extremely difficult for a man to catch through sex because it requires blood to blood transference. Completely curable nowadays but it's expensive.
HIV: Requires a blood test. Extremely difficult for a man to catch during vaginal sex because it requires blood to blood or semen to blood to transfer. You can take PreP beforehand which will completely mitigate your risk. You can't get it if you are on PreP.
Life is risk / reward. Know your risk, evaluate your reward, and live.

Most of the risks of STDs can be mitigated by an STD check when one gets home from traveling-for those of us who are not ex pats. PrEP and antibiotic prophylaxis are pretty good as well, although at some time in the future the bugs will become antibiotic resistant- and doxycycline does not agree with my stomach! Of course, one can always use condoms.
We are adults here and can act upon this knowledge in accordance with our own personal calculations of risk and reward. It seems appropriate on the 4th of July to quote Thomas Jefferson: "the important truths {are} that knolege is power, that knolege is safety, and that knolege is happiness".

Sounds like the authorities are clamping down on antibiotic use among other things. Its about p260/ pill. You can break them in half for 50 MG each, and get 10 doses (p130/ dose). The stuff's effects last for hours, giving 1-2-3 pops per dose (lets call it 2 pops, p65/ pop). Is that math right? Its possible that I've been having too much pink-joy lately and my mind is a bit fried.
The same pharmacy has similar prices on other products as other pharmacies. They also accept credit card.

Daphne is easy to get otc in any pharmacy in Philippines. If you arrange with a girl before your visit, ask her to take it for a couple of days before you arrive and you will be fine. Just like the COVID reporting forms we used to have to fill out for entering the country, there is a lot of data entry but is anyone doing anything with it?
