And by revamp I mean, they've moved the entrance to the side furthest away from the Red Lion, and the entire walkway to the entrance is boarded off. This is smart work, I'm a big fan and it means you don't have to make such a velocitous exit once you've hooked up.

Wednesdays it seems are the best night to go. It's as packed as Thursday / Friday, but the guy / gal ratio is much more acceptable. Having done a few laps and lost a few games of pool, I was drawn to a stunning girl in a tight blue dress. Her name was Sara from Chisinau. Easily the prettiest girl I've seen in there in all my times frequenting the place. However, she wouldn't budge down from 1500 LT (and as a rule I've never paid more than 1k from the Rattlesnake). She couldn't speak much English, her chubbier, funnier friend did most of the talking (don't they always?) , but we seemed to spark up a bit of chemistry.

Anyway I was tired and decided to call it a night so I gave her my number and asked her to call me if she struck out by closing time (something I though highly unlikely). Having got home at 2am I was just about to go to bed when she called and asked for my address. Confirmed 1000 LT.

As with most beautiful EE girls in Dubai (as opposed to in EE) , the service wasn't exceptional, BUT, naked she was a goddess and honestly, well worth the money to see her bouncing around. She'd initially said CBJ but once we were messing around, and with me having been DATY with good results she responded in kind with a BBBJ. I was fully expecting her to make her excuses and leave after, but instead we ended up watching Castaway which had just started and we both fell asleep before it finished and went to bed. A rather sleepy second round in the morning before she left and I gave her taxi money without prompting.

Faith in the Rattler fully renewed.

Have heard reports from a number of the girls at Rattlesnake, the club and hotel are closing in April for a complete overhaul (lets face it the hotel probaably does need it!). Not sure if these are just rumours going round, but does seem a bit weird considering the amount of money spent recently on refurbishing the SkyBar and surrounding gardens. Anyone have any info on this?

The reports about the hotel renovation are indeed very true. Soon enough they plan to actually demolish the hotel and build a whole new property there. It has been in the works for some time now. Will be interesting to see where the girls go as this will surely mean the rattlesnake will be closed for an extended period.

OHHH NOOO! I was there some weeks ago and I noticed the new bar outside and the new entrance. But I had no clue they are closing. I had so many great times there over the last years. It's of course not like Premiere but I liked it. Going to be back in Dubai for Christmas and will have there for sure a last beer and a last girl.

I think I once met Sara and her chubbier friend. They were only then offering a threesome for 2000 aed but I only wanted Sara. They refused to separate. She was quite a stunner. It took some nerve to pass her by. She's in my top 10 of girls that got away ). No.1 was a blonde goddess i met in a cafe in Vladivostok whose number i lost. I'm still undergoing therapy for that )) Good on ya Callsign for holding your price.

Re: Rattlesnakes. I just booked a room for a week at Metroploitan Hotel at a much reduced rate for February '12. So they must still be open till at least then. Perhaps there lowering there rates in anticipation of upcoming work. Cheers Nickc.

Hi,

Very sad to hear and hope this is not true.

Last summer stayed there. First night a turkish girl and second an Uzbek. Loved the absolute greenery.

Cheers,

Myself, I was never too fond of the 'Snake, even though it was the closest bar to where I lived. It's non-negotiable entrance fee, the poor layout of the bar (too easy to lose a girl in the bar / dance floor bottleneck) , and there were just more appealing bars closer into town (Seaview for music+company, York for much wider selection), 20 minutes more to "better". But several Cyclone refugees took up residence there, and 1, Miss Canary, was a real treat on those "special" occasions; class act.

Still, do have some fond memories of some nice pulls from the 'Snake, and it certainly was a possibility when I didn't want to face the traffic, or wanted a convenient ST weeknight pull, short travel time beneficial to both of us.

Thanks for the confirmation, IAintSpecial. Only a bit surprised it hadn't happened sooner, given the location and its state.

Is the snake shut down already? No, it is still open, spent most of last week there. LOL. Not due to be closed until April, but you know how dates and times are kept to in Dubai, probably find still open in July / August!

It is just me, or is the new layout / entrance to the club a real pain in the arse, it is such a bottleneck to get near the bar. And when leaving the club with a girl, you have to push and barge your way through to the exit, whilst the VIP area is empty most nights

No, it is still open, spent most of last week there. LOL.Good news indeed. Is there a way to get snake girls up to your room without the walk of shame? Sorry, this might sound silly to experienced snake afficionados, but I rarely do Dubai and never been to the Metropolitan. As of now I am booked at the Ramada which I've heard is very GF.

It feels like the day they shut down Cyclone! SighReally? The Cyclone was really something remarkable, would have been anywhere in this world. 100 times more so given its location in the Middle East (made you forget you were in the region). The first time you enter (at least for me) , was a sight I'll never forget: paying the entrance fee at the gate in the outside wall, across the small courtyard, enter the double doors to the large foyer, pay phone in the small room to the right. Long coat check on the left, always with a couple of girls in the process of checking their wraps / bags, giving just a SLIGHT hint of what was beyond those double doors in front of you. The vast palace of seething female humanity, Chinese to the left, CIS / Stanis to the right of that invisible dividing line. 3 bars, easy to get a drink, even with crowds, possible to move, to see, be seen. Yes, it was expensive, no drink included. But the cream was always there. Walking through that set of inner double doors for the first time was like being in a dream. It was a sight that HAD to be seen, at least once.

The 'Snake? Nowhere close. So much smaller. 1 bar, hassle to get a drink, difficult to move. While some Cyclone refugees did land there, NOWHERE near the choice and selection. Always a gamble if anything inside was worth the entrance fee. Yes, it had a band, but the band sucked. It was only after a month's Cyclone visits that I realized they played music there (DJ).

FOR ME, the only equivalent of the Cyclone's demise would be when (not if, but when, as you know it will happen someday) , Seaview's band permanently returns home, especially the base player, Chery.

Chery rocks! The best and definitely most entertaining guitarist I have seen! .I agree. It's amazing how many YEARS she's been doing it. 7 nights a week. 11 months a year. As she once told me, she likes making music. It really will be a sad day when she finally says "enough" (at least for Dubai).

I know she doesn't "freelance" (according to all my inquiries) but she would probably be the one person I would say "Name your price!" Such is the desire to have her.

This helps a lot.

Rattlesnake is located in the Metropolitan Hotel on SZR (SZR = Sheikh Zayed Road)

When you come from the parking lot you enter from the right side.

Best of luck and don't forget to post your experiences!

Cheers.

I think it was famed as THE only club in the world where the most number of mixed nationality girls congregated in one place!

I am a bit surprised an equivalent replacement has not comeup so far.

The only place, where one can find lots of different nationalities ready for pick-up is the big german FKK's such like Artemis in Berlin or Oase and World around Frankfurt.

BUT, the mood and ambiance in an FKK never gives you the same experience than with a real gem in Dubai:

Behaving like love fools, doing the deed several times, go to sleep together, wake up together and start the day right with a nice BJ and sex.

Live could be so easy.

Take care of you guys and have fun!

Cheers!

Man you have been away for too long!

When was last time anything was done on time in DXB? Look at the Marina tram, still going and still a long way to go.

So while I agree you should visit Snake (business is really low accordign to some girls there) I am doubtful the place will close by March 15th as it has been announced.

But who knows. Maybe this is the first thing that does not get delayed.

I asked ahout Rattlesnake and was told "yes, everything, the whole hotel". This was from somebody I have known a long time and is usually well informed but I have not checked it out and it is a week earlier than the previously announced date.

Dubai: It's not bricks and mortar that make a place — it's the people who give it true character.

Dubai's Metropolitan Hotel has been a landmark on Shaikh Zayed Road for decades, a home away from home for many expatriates who lived in the vicinity.

As the hotel is reduced to rubble next week so are the establishments which have been favourite hangouts for hundreds of people in the emirate, shattering the hearts of staff and patrons alike.

While Indian restaurant Shahjahan is being moved to the Habtoor Grand Hotel on Jumeirah Beach, all the other popular joints at the Metropolitan will bite the dust next Thursday.

The Red Lion, arguably the most popular of them all, opened even before the hotel itself and soon became a favourite place to socialise.

Mali Munroe recalls attending the opening night.

"I first went there when the place opened on December 3, 1978 and I have been visiting it since then," Munroe said.

"Back then, it was the only place in the vicinity where we could socialise after a hard day's work.

'Great memories'

"I have some great memories of the place and I will definitely miss it."

Italian restaurant Don Corleone was an eatery no-one went to once.

"It's as if they are pulled by a magnet," said Valentine Fernandes, the manager of the eatery, who says he won't be able to watch the place go down.

"I'm going back to my native Goa, I cannot work anywhere else after serving at Don Corleone for so long.

"I have built a house in Goa and named it Don Corleone Villa.

"I'm planning to spend the rest of my life there with my family."

The 56-year-old said the place is etched in his memory and will live with him forever.

So I'd just keep in mind my there collected memories.

I suspect some of the WG have migrated towards JBR, as I never saw WG's in Atmosphere's ever but right before I left in April I started to see a few. There was one report of WG at Harbour but unconfirmed.

It is a salient question, where did the RS girls go?

What's JBR?Basically the Dubai Marina Walk area in general. Southern end of Dubai, towards Abu Dhabi right off SZR. Tourist area mainly, many higher end hotels catering to euro tourists. Some WG action in the area but I would call it low density, from my experience. OTOH, some of the best GFE pussy I have obtained in DXB has been from the JBR area. Go figure.

Would love to find a good AMP in the JBR area, though have not used very many as yet I admit.

No wonder I couldn't find the place when I was in Dubai in July.

I used to work with a Mali Monroe back in 82-84 but last time I saw him was in Dubai around 1988, him and his father-in-law had there own bar in them days.

I used to hang out at the Red Lion but the nightclub was not called Rattlesnake back then, can't remember the name now though.
