View Full Version : Club tour using public transportation

Planning a club tour using public transportation in spring, figured I'd share what I've found and maybe get some suggestions / feedback. My criteria is simple: club has to be easily reached 'or' at least have reasonably priced hotels (30 50 euros) nearby. I'd also try to avoid the overuse of taxi's if possible. The reason behind using public transportation is being able to reach clubs all over germany. I could rent a car but for the length of time of my trip a car and gas would easily cost over a grand. By preplanning and purchasing train tickets ahead of time I might get all those clubs into my schedule for under 200 euro's. Clubs that need little research are Artemis, Palace, Mainhattan and Oase. These four are well documented on the in's and out's of visiting using public transportation. I'll focus on clubs that aren't mentioned as often.

Sharks: easy access to an etap followed by a short walk to the club. Easily doable. On the list.

Atlantika: not easily reachable and since its such a small club I wouldn't want to pay any extra cash to visit. Off the list.

World: a few hotels nearby but some that are hard to book via the internet. I'm hesitant to use a hotel where the front desk person wasn't around for an hour (at noon). And 22 euro taxi ride each way to a giessen hotel adds up quickly. The club is a favorite of mine but questionable via public transportation.

Goldentime: not the easiest to reach via public transportation but several hotels nearby that would help with a longer stay for a multi day visit.

Villa Vertigo: not the easiest to reach, limited hotels nearby but the club has a great lineup on the weekend. Would try to squeeze in a day if possible.

Hawaii: close to public transportation. Limited hotels nearby tough. Possible visit.

Fkk Stuttgart: easily reached, multiple hotels to choose from. Possible visit.

Babylon: reachable by public transportation, some hotels nearby. Extra costs for services make the club questionable. Possible.

PHG: no hotels nearby, not easily reached. Lineup too shaky. Off the list.

Acapulco: you can get close via public transportation, several hotels in Velbert that are reasonable. Low entrance and lower costs for the girls offset any extra costs to reach the club. On the list.

Dolce Vita dusseldorf: close to public transportation, hotel nearby. Possible visit.

Samya: easy to reach by public tranportation but from what I recall one has to leave the club early to catch the last train. No hotels near the club so doesn't meet my criteria. Off the list.

Living Room: easy to reach, hotels nearby. On the list.

Fkk Villa: reasonably close to public transportation and hotels. Love the look of the club but its always been too far of a drive to visit. On the list.

Colosseum: many hotels nearby to choose from, easily reached by public transportation. On the list.

Harem: not easily reached, a few hotels nearby. An option since the club is so far out of the way. Possible visit.

By prebooking / prepaying trains I can pretty much cover all the major clubs in Germany. Even goldentime in Austria is reachable. An 18 21 day tour covering anywhere from 7 to 14 clubs.

p.s. trying to have this moved to the general topic section, didnt intend this as a new thread.

I am also planning an early spring smaller tour and this really helps as I will be using taxis / trains!

Off the list.If I understand the information from KVB in Köln correctly U 16 to / from Michaelshoven now got 30-minutes traffic all night long at Friday and Saturday evenings. If you want to visit Samya other days you still got a problem to go back to Köln late at night, but for Friday and Saturday evenings the new timetable is perfect news.

Whatever club you are interested in the best resource is bahn. de website. If you can't cope with the German version there is a link on the front page to an English version. It will give you accurate train, bus and walking times to just about everywhere.

Btw, FKK World is easy to reach by bus direct from Giessen for about 3 euros, if you are happy to walk 10 minutes at the end, although you might need a taxi to come back if yo are planning to stay at the club until very late

...And, there is always the privately owned HLB (Heissishe Landsbahn) train from track 12 in Giessen for 2 euros to Garbentech if you don't mind a 30 minute walk to FKK World. But, as you say, Optimist, late night return trips are not available by this method.

TIP: Install DB Railnavigator on your smartphone.

There is a version for all smartphones, and it really makes finding your way around germany very easy. Germany has an extensive network of ICEs, ICs, ECs, S-Bahns, RegionalExpresses, RegionalBahns, U-Bahns, Trams, Busses, Trolleys, and horse pulled covered wagons. Using this App makes useing this network much less intimidating.

And if you want to close FKK World, you can walk back to Garbenteich Sportsplatz and catch the first bus back to Giessen at around 4:45 AM. Except Sunday morning.

First time poster Basel wrote a three part report on his recent visit to Sharks. He traveled to the club via train / taxi and was able to catch the last train back to FRA.

Complete details are available here:

http://www.internationalsexguide.info/forum/showthread.php?p=1239320#post1239320

Info is of course always available on the DB sites, but is nice to see how it actually plays out, particularly as the taxi leg of the trip is concerned.

Take S-Bahn from either Cologne or Dusseldorf to LEV Mitte. From there you can take a bus. Relatively easy to get there. Journey about 40 min.

The easiest clubs to reach through public transport in my experience:

Palace: From Frankfurt Westbahnhof you can walk; or you take the U bahns to industriehof (don't know which, since I walk from Fra West). There are plenty of S-bahns and trains between Fra Hbf and Fra West.

Freude: From Bochum Hbf you take tram 603 (couple of Euros) to Breslauer strasse: 5 min walk.

Living Room: From Duesseldorf Hbf take S bahn 28 towards Kaarster See and get off at Ikea Kaarst: 10 min walk.

Samya: U16 from Cologne Hbf towards Michaelshofen: 5/10 minute walk, the tram keeps going all night long.

Mainhattan: Tram 11 from Fra Hbf, stop at Daimlerstrasse: couple of minutes walk.

Reasonable:

Oase: From Fra Hbf to Friedrichsdorf with the S5, then the Hessische Landesbahn to Burgholzhausen: 15 min walk (make sure you know the route).

World: Get to Giessen Hbf (50 min from Frankfurt Hbf) and then on to Garbenteich with the Hessische Landesbahn (goes once every 2 hours) : 15 min walk

Golden Time: Train to Kaldenkirchen where there is busses (can't remember the number) that take you to the busstop Tierpark. Come to thin of it, this is usually a terrible connection and you're better off taken a cab from Boisheim, Breyell or Kaldenkirchen (if you can find one). The train goes between Venlo (NL) and Duesseldorf Hbf and also calls at Neuss Hbf, Viersen and MonchenGladbach Hbf.

Parksauna Rezidenz: take the train from Cologne Hbf to Honrath-Lohmer, then a 20 minute walk true the forest (you should know where to go before you try it) ; you can also call a minibus (apparantly).

Acapulco: From Essen Hbf, take S9 to Velbert Nierenhof and then bus OV 8 till stop Eintrachtstrasse. You can also get there from Velbert Langenberg (link to Bochum Hbf) and bus OV 7.

Ying Yang (NL) : From Roermond Central station take bus 79 to MLK school: 5 minutes walk.

Enjoy!

Must have switches those numbers around. No problem FD, great job "goed gedaan jochie!"

Actually all Tram and the only Metro line in BO start with the digit 3!

In NRW, PHG and VV: not easy accessible by public transport. But it is do-able if you know the details.

Golden Dreams (Schüttorf (Niedersachsen), by train relatively easy accessible. Train to Bad Bentheim. Last 5km Taxi or call the owner of GD!

From the center of Cologne, like Hauotbahnhof, take S12 S-bahn to Hennef (Sieg) , and then bus 322 to Lichtenberg (2nd or 3rd stop after the bus leaves the main road). Remember to buy the return ticket to Lichtenberg, then the train ticket is also valid for the bus.

Last bus back from Bernds is 23. 5? (I cannot remember the exact time.

It takes a 7 mins walk from the busstop to the club.

I hope some others will start to use the bus, before they will cancel all the late buses, as there have been very few passengers, the last few times I took the bus back to Cologne.

Enjoy! In case you don't find any taxi waiting at the Kaldenkirchen station, go to the telephone booth, there you can find the telephone number of a nearby taxi, they speak English and they know where the GT is. The cost is around 17 Euros.

I just checked a few places via the German Bundesbahn site (www.bahn.de).

It tells you ALL you need. When the train leaves, where to change, when the bus leaves, where to get out and a map of how to walk there and how many minutes to walk.

If you get there in 50 minutes by public transport, why would one want to rent a car? Takes you much longer then that to check out a car.

I am planning a public transport German sex tour end of May most of June, will buy a Eurail pass valid for 2-3 weeks.

Around 900 dollars for first class travel all over Europe! And cheapskates save on lodging sleeping overnight on some trains. Get yourself a steel safety net to tie down your luggage, or the valuables of your luggage, while you sleep. www.rei.com Should have one.

There is also a German rail pass for less money. Contact me if you want to join. Add to that Wifi on most first class express trains, and bicycle rentals at many stations, my trip is set. Computer work, bicycling, doing some scenic train routes, even sleep on train, visit FKK and other brothels, stop over in Vienna or Prage, maybe. What more can one wish.

Oh, I am tired of fully dressed girls in Brazil, want to see them naked in Germany. Guess if I asked where else you can see great young decently priced girls naked (Prague?) would be too far off topic?

@ Brazil Specialist: Well done sir! I have been traveling to Frankfurt & the NRW for three years now and have always relied on the public transit. The Germans are quite effecient. Almost. On one trip to Bernd's I relied on my itinerary for my times. Unfortunately there was a rare time error made on the itinerary: I wound up leaving Bernd's too late to make my first train back to Frankfurt. The ticket was correct, there was just this difference on the printout. I check a little closer now.

I'll be making my 5th trip this June and have relied heavily on DB. Not using a rail pass, I find for longer trips a terrific discount is achieved when you book 3 or more days in advance.

Enjoy your trip. I intend to enjoy mine!

Should have one.The 'savings' of doing a public transportation tour is not spending that much money on trains. A car rental and gas costs about half that amount and you don't have to wait for bus's, take taxi's. My car rental is 89 euro's per week, I'm guessing I'll spend close to 150 euro's in gas. Car doesn't have wifi but I can roll my window down and stick my head out and no conductor will run up to me yelling for me to shut it. Joking here. The idea of doing a public transportation tour, at least my idea, was to spend several days at each club and then moving on to the next. Find a hotel nearby and try to save on other expenses. If you prepay for select tickets a month in advance, you'll see a ticket from say frankfurt to berlin for 29 euro's. Few days after you arrive you might find a ticket to Hamburg for 19 euro's. Few days after that, well, you get the drift. Your club hopping and paying less than 150 euro's and your going from one part of the country to the next. Berlin to Dusseldorf to Frankfurt to Munich. You can even go first class if that's what you want to do.

My idea on a club tour was saving money by doing long distances at a cheap price that a car would never be able to match but you'd have to spend several days in each city.

It is good to exchange ideas. The rail pass invites to the opposite strategy:

Go one day to one FKK. Take a train to the other end of Germany and sleep on the way. Next night go back to the first place if you still have issues to solve. Or really go to a different place every day. Also I probably will do 1 day FKK, one day biking or hiking or going to tourist stops, next day FKK again or so. The rail pass just gives me maximum flexibility. But I might be sorry if I want to stay at one place for 3 days.

You get a rental car for 89 per WEEK? Tell me more.

Tell more about car rentals, cheap hotel stays, and cheap train tickets. How exactly do you get cheap train tickets? How do you get cheap housing? Any android app for cheap hotels (I want my OWN room, but as cheap and simple as possible.) And probably in a good location, near the FKK. And easy reservation. Can you get places for how much? Starting 30 Euro? An app for hotel reservation with gps data and bus data to get you there by bus easily would be great. Youth hostels are an option? No, I am not youthful any more and don't want to share bunk beds.

There also is a Germany or Europe ticket with xx days within 2 months. Like 7 days in 2 months.

Take Acapulco for instance, great club but its in an area that's not the easiest to reach by train and the hotels are all higher (50e and up) priced. If you have a car there's hotels to the north for around 20 euro's a night (breakfast extra). You might find cheap hotels in downtown dusseldorf but you've got to get your ass over to Velbert, not an easy task. And then some of the hottest girls show up and you've got to leave to catch the last train back to your hotel. A car gives you more flexibility and allows you to maximize your time spent at a club. Time is money even if I'm on holiday. I don't want to travel halfway around the world and spend my time standing waiting for a bus. If your going to use public transportation, some clubs should be left off the list for this reason.

As to getting a cheap rental, I used Kemwel. Com this time around. I punched in my dates, selected the lowest class of car (free upgrade with kemwel) and hit 'buy it now'. Up comes the rental agency. Luckily for me it was Avis, had it been thrifty or budget I'd have 'issues'.

I find the best tool out there is a computer and google, using your phone's internet isn't as good. I use booking. De to research hotels, get the hotels own website if they have one and see if they have special offers (booking. De won't show you those). You'll find many hotels reward you with lower rates the longer you stay, free Sunday's with a weekend booking at some. I'll go to google maps and zoom in on the area I'll be in and type in "hotel" into the search field and all the hotels pop up.

You can do the journey in less than an hour and a half. Pleasant countryside to admire along the way too, and an opportunity to see more than the highway.

If costs are the issue, then choose a hotel in the city centre of Dusseldorf which includes a free VRR transport ticket for the duration of your stay. This ticket covers all bus, tram, underground, and trains with the exception of ICE throughout the VRR area (look it up). Although not quite stretching to Cologne, most of the popular NRW clubs are accessible FOC transport wise.

Thanks for the rental link. Very nice. Could even splurge and get a Porsche 911 for US$ 1200 for 3 days, to go 250 KM / h on the Autobahn (careful, you might die and miss the good pussy). I am not necessarily always cheap, if the surcharge is worth it. A Porsche on the autobahn certainly is an experience. But dangerous to the uninitiated. But actually any decent German car gets you to 220 km/h

Would be great to get actual links and quotes from hotels and stuff. I looked at booking. De. Cheapest hotels in Munich is 99 Euro. Is there a simple booking site for cheap skate? I know there are CHEAP hotels near the main station. Probably 40 Euro I would guess.

Here is how to get to Acapulco from Düsseldorf main station in exactly an hour, by train. Not even a bus is needed. Public transport allows you to read the news on your Android, instead of bothering with driving safety. I hate driving, love bicycling, and love to sit in nice transportation without having to drive. Well, too cheap to get a driver. Taxi at low rates for a few miles of course is a good option. But would like to avoid paying 80 Euros to a taxi if I can take public transport in an hour.

Well, I like to sleep early, so finding a bus at 3 am is not my typical thing.

To me the big game changer is getting the entire schedule, with timing, from bahn. De. Figuring out buses on your own would be a pain. Oh, and for android / iphone, a copy and paste application is needed for easy use of your phone for finding places. Also recommend Evernote to get all your notes written on the computer and accessible on the phone.

Question: which FKK allows you to SLEEP over there for free or for a fee? Which one has a cheap hotel next to it?

As already mentioned Acapulco can be reached fairly easily by public transport from Dusseldorf, although the last leg of the journey must be made by bus or taxi. The return journey however becomes more and more problematical the later you leave in the evening.

The cost of the journey from Dusseldorf is exactly the same as that from Dusseldorf to Living Room; that is Price Level B.

One option if you get up early enough is to obtain a day ticket Price Level B in Dusseldorf and head out to Acapulco to be there in time to benefit from the reduced price entry.

Enjoy the day and if you still need more travel back to Dusseldorf and then onto to Living Room that evening using the same day ticket for public transport.

Get up even earlier and you can make a side trip to Wuppertal and take a ride on the western half of the Schwebebahn; which I must say is pretty cool.

Hi I visited FKK World total about 10 days per year since 2010 now.

My typical day 1 is 1) arrive at FRA airport 2) check in a hotel near frankfurt Hbf 3) go to FKK World.

I have 2 questions.

Q1) Sometime ago, I found ticket price was same (13. 5EUR) for "FRA airport == Giessen" and "Frankfurt Hbf== Giessen".

Since then, I just bought ticket to Giessen at the airport to save about 4 EUR of "FRA airport== Frankfurt Hbf".

I usually took about 1-2 hour layover at Hbf for checking in a hotel etc.

So far there was no issue when train conductor checked my ticket on a train between frankfurt hbf to giessen.

I just got lucky? Should I buy 2 separete tickets ("FRA airport== Giessen" and "Frankfurt Hbf== Giessen") in this case?

Q2) It was only one time but I took express train (IC) from Frankfurt Hbf to Giessen when I only had cheapest 13. 5 EUR ticket.

Taking IC is nothing special for saving time as it takes same 40min from the Hbf to Giessen, same as a regional train (RE).

A conductor checked my ticket at that time and there was no problem at all. Again, I got juct lucky?

You are not allowed to interrupt your trip at HBF if you buy a ticket from the airport to Giessen.

You are not allowed to interrupt your trip at HBF if you buy a ticket from the airport to Giessen.

HBIt really depends, what kind of ticket you are taking. Do you have to change trains at HBF? Most tickets have a period of validity.

Even local inner city Bus tickets usually have a 2 hour validity, larger distance have a longer one. These tickets usually don't have a route printed onto them but rather are valid in certain zones. This is why they have a limit to validity, also a limit to not changing directions.

If it is a train ticket, with a determined route, a ticket which has start end end point written onto it, I suspect validity is much longer, a day or so. What distance are you riding (km, hours) and what is the price?

You ought to ask when you buy to be sure. Or read all the small print. If various conductors saw it and never complained, then it probably is ok.

I've made my first club tour two weeks ago, using public transportation.

From Dusseldorf Hbf, the Blue Note is very easy to reach, the Magnum is easy to reach, and the Acapulco is. Reachable.

Only problem for the Acapulco, there are only one or two buses per hour, depending wich line you take. I strongly advise to print many trip plans from the VRR (or VRS) website.

Boys love trains, and for many of us, myself included, the appeal never goes away. One of the joys of mongering tours in Germany is the chance to ride the rails (plus some buses) to the clubs. I made a 5-day trip back in July this year, based at hotels near the Hauptbahnhof in Dusseldorf (First at the Hotel Madison Novum, then CVJM Düsseldorf Hotel & Tagung). Between the strategic location near the train station and the NRW travelcard I got as part of the deal at the CVJM hotel, it could not have been easier to get from club to club by public transportation.

My itinerary was:

Day 1 Evening: Acapulco (Velbert)

Day 2: Dolce Vita (Dusseldorf)

Day 3: Saskia-Farrell gangbang party (Kaarst) ; Living Room (Kaarst)

Day 4: Arabella (Bochum) ; Magnum (Erkrath)

Day 5: Freude 39 (Bochum) ; Magnum (Erkrath)

See the reports in the various threads (and the Saskia-Farrell party in Gangbang clubs).

This useful thread seems to have been forgotten and overlooked with the result there are questions in club threads asking how to get to a club.

The answer in all cases is simple.

1. Do an Internet search (sorry, but members sometimes don't seem to think of this possibility).

2. Use www.bahn.de.Go to menu if you want English and choose "sprachauswahl"

3 Use this thread for detailed issues (for example, the break in hour ney issue at Frankfurt Hbf discussed earlier).

If you're around Dusseldorf, you can use vrr. De or the vrr smartphone app. Around Koln it's vrs. De or the vrs app. Everywhere you can use DB navigator (the official DB app). Google maps works fine too. All these apps don't use too much data.

BB69. Good ideas. For Frankfurt area rmv. De is useful.

* Train, bus, tram and subway.

* For entire NRW area.

* Valid for a specific number of days.

Correct?

Yes, that is what I am looking for.If your staying in dusseldorf you can get a free travel card if you stay in a couple of hotels. I have used cvjm Dusseldorf hotel and Bismark hotel both close to duss hbf. Free travel on train sbahn and regional express, also bus and tram anywhere in the region. You can save a fortune and travel to all clubs in the nrw area. There used to be a post on here with all hotels that give free travel cards while you stay at your hotel.

I slept in the Bahn hotel last time and it was 5 minutes away from the station and around 30 euros per night.
