Cebu feels like a better AC from years ago!

Ángeles now is crappy and Manila isn't much better! I will never go back to those two places! My first night in Cebu City I got in late so wasn't the best find! But tonight while I was waiting for Hive to open up which was previously J. Ave. I found a sweet little spinner for 1500 short time, no baby, super GFE, and tight as a drum! I haven't felt this good in AC for over a year! Lots of people are willing to help you here in Cebu City! You couldn't pay me to ever go to Angeles again!

Tomorrow I will checkout Mermaid which is close to the airport that is apparently better Oqtagon. I also heard about a place called Majesty close to Alaya which is more like a brothel style for 4000 longtime until 5 am.

Ayala mall. Reports say it's a good pick up place especially nears bos coffee. The few I saw were rough.

Mango area. A few gogo bars but I didn't venture in. Marshalls Irish bar and the sports bar above (a few girls in here), there are sw outside here and along the road, nothing special but ok, many LBs. Down osmena street there are some bars, one expat bar which is ok and there are a few sw along this street.

When I went to the ferry there seems to be loads of bars overlooking the port but this was daytime and all closed so I don't know about them.

Afternoon scheduled for another diving at sumilon island. This is also good experience with nice corals and marine.

Started for Cebu by 2 pm and on the way stopped for tumalog waterfall. Reached at Cebu by 5 pm.

Now I got the call from first taxi guy that girl is ready. I thought of trying last time. Finally girl delivered to hotel. Average girl. Fucked her 2 times. At least something scored in this trip.

Sleep for some time and lead to airport for return.

I'm assuming that was your first time to the Philippines. It takes many visits to a country before you can get the hang of it. You may have made a few basic newbie mistakes as well. I'm sure you will learn from them and get better next time.

1. Being your first trip, you should have just stuck to AC or LA Cafe. That would have got your confidence up. Quasimodo can walk into an AC bar and pick up three spinners for the whole night there. Anyone of any colour, dick size, smell or looks can get a root in AC. I've never been to Medellin, but if I did, I would just stay at the Mansion and dine in on Colombian ass. The online game in Colombia is on Facebook, but as a newbie (albeit with 35 years' of mongering experience), I wouldn't even think about it. Similarly, in Germany, a newbie would just walk into an FKK. I've been to the Philippines seven times, but only last year did I ever try online action, and that was with only WeChat and Tinder. Previously, I only ever went to bars. It takes a long time to understand the culture, the girls' motivation, the games they play etc. I wouldn't recommend dating sites for newbies because those Pinays will eat you alive. As a newbie, always take the easiest option until you understand how the game is played.

2. Cebu for a newbie can be daunting as it is geographically dispersed. Do you stay on Mactan or do you stay in Cebu? Just where do you start? You nearly got there at the Mango bars. The BF system is confusing. I think its 4 LDs, plus 5,000 PHP all inclusive for LT. You should have just paid the money and banged a hooker on successive nights!

3. I think all the girls could smell your desperation. It became a death spiral for you. The more times you missed out, the more your confidence was affected and your level of desperation just increased. The girls in the lower echelons where we mix can pick a mongers fear and desperation a mile a way. Refer to Point 1 above. Girls do not like men who are not confident.

4. You acknowledge that people with dark skin are less desirable in the Philippines. White skin is seen as pure and dark skin is seen as dirty. You can't control their thinking, but what you can control is how you portray yourself. You can come across as a confident, erudite, urbane man. Chicks love style and confidence. Walk into a bar or hotel like you own the joint. Wear expensive clothes and nice shoes to differentiate yourself from your countrymen. Believe me, in Asian countries, how you dress, how you smell and how you walk all get noticed. Leave the shorts and the Bier Bintang singlets to the fat, uneducated Aussies. You are better than them. FWIW, in Asia I only ever wear shorts at the pool or gym.

Bang, don't let one so so trip deter you because once you learn the lay of the land, cebu can be a great place to have some fun. I can name numerous cities where my second and subsequent visits were much better than my first.

If your next trip is to include diving try Alona, Moalboal or Malapascua towards the end of your stay. Only a couple of hours away and they can be used as a carrot to attract the right girl (s) to join you.

I've been considering a trip to SEA in mid / late September and was looking to be in Cebu. Mostly, I'm longing for a short vacation, but seeing as I was going to be in SEA, I figured I could rope in a bit of fun with girls. A buddy of mine suggested Cebu to spend some time and I figured why not. Although, I'm leaning towards going to Yogyakarta first to see the temples there.

So, I always RTFF as much as I can. The Cebu forum is a bit light though in volume of past posts and they get 5+ years old real quick. By reading the forum, I've gathered names of bunch of hotels (Quest / Mandarin, seemingly all GF), bars (seemingly not good), the mall, restaurants, etc. The girl part is a bit lacking, haha.

Then, I read that you got to do the social networking thing. Huh, okay. I registered for DIA and promptly got banned in an hour for who knows what. I can't figure it out. Somebody sent me a message, which I wasn't even able to see but I think that triggered it. I wasn't able to register with any other number, so DIA was out.

I joined PL and I actually paid for a month, since I figured I was definitely going. Kinda pricey for just a month, but oh well. Got some interests and a couple of numbers sent to me. I figured I could try to work on it. The forum said cultivate contacts, so I'm watering the damn seeds and cultivating.

Then, I see these last couple of posts about Cebu not being for newbies, go to AC, etc. , and Bang's experience listed below. Ahh, I share that particular unfavored heritage, so that's a cross I bear. And that affects the social networking thing as well.

FWIW, I've been to Phuket and Pattaya and was never stopped at any bar and my experience / behavior tends to be a bit different. (I wanted to write a post about it but I find that it always gets argumentative, so I didn't).

Now, I'm wondering if I should do Cebu or just call it off. I really like the bars (Phuket style) where I can drink some and hang out with girls in skimpy clothes (LDs cost money but I do it if I'm going to have a good time). I understand AC is where that is found, but I also like it to be a tropical paradise with 4* hotels. Great buffets, good wifi (a man's got to work to fund these trips), etc. So, AC doesn't quite fit the bill of vacation spot, which Cebu is.

What I don't get is all the masses of women saying they want marriage, serious LTR, etc. Are they just lying and are open to p2 p? Or they're just something else in their own minds. This is so true. If I or anyone I know is in a death spiral, my recommendation is to put pride aside and fuck something, anything just to get rid of the sense of desperation that everyone can notice. Once you have regained confidence, then you can refocus upon your priority girls.

Also, a wingman, preferably one who has been there before and knows his way around, can help considerably with a first trip to a city.

Bang, don't let one so so trip deter you because once you learn the lay of the land, cebu can be a great place to have some fun. I can name numerous cities where my second and subsequent visits were much better than my first.

If your next trip is to include diving try Alona, Moalboal or Malapascua towards the end of your stay. Only a couple of hours away and they can be used as a carrot to attract the right girl (s) to join you.

It happened to me once, I got 2 girls who cancel on me (both were shy and didn't want to meet alone) and another one we go out but she didn't want to come to my condo, she made up a lie that she was molested when she was young, I didn't believe her because she wasn't even molested just touch in the wrong way and she had trauma because of that. You know how much it is for 6 months stay?I guess you can pre apply and pre pay for 2 months but I have always arrived, got a 30 day free VOA, then a few days before that expired got a 29 day extension etc in country. Any additional extensions require a ACR (Alien Certificate of Registration) but the process is similar.

Allow about 3000 p for each extension plus the ACR and check where the extensions can be done near you. The regional offices are much faster and less stress. I'm normally in and out of Battangas in 15 minutes.

Use a taxi as very cheap or similar. Either way is better than walking. I have never walked that far ever in Cebu as easier to taxi (I never Jeepney ever!) but I would say 20-30 minutes depending on route and how long you stop to dry off the sweat LOL.

From Ayala to Robinson's Fuente (there is more than one Robinson's in Cebu city), streets would be: departing Ayala, a few blocks down Archbishop Reyes (also called Ayala street) to Gorordo Street (turn left), go a few more blocks down to General Maxilom street (turn right), then the long walk on Maxilom to Robinson's. On your left on Maxilom, you will pass along the way the Viking's group of gogo bars (see Planet X), Fooda grocery store on your right, Vienna Italian resto on the left, and Mango Square (both sides of the road, a series of bars with live entertainment, including Marshal's Irish Pub), then finally the overpass with Robinson's on the left and the Fuente Circle. My time-on-task for my slow / medium walk (lazy) is 20-22 minutes, and my more normal faster walk (to sweat) is 15-16 minutes. On more than one occasion in the late afternoon or early evening, I have beaten traffic going along side of me headed from Robinson's to Ayala (full disclosure: its closer to walk from Robinson's to Ayala than it is to take a jeep, as the jeep must travel farther to get to the PUV terminal at the rear of Ayala than my walking into the closer entrance on Archbishop Reyes St). I don't recommend this walk to anyone. One reason is the sidewalk is right against the street, where there are not only cars in the right lane in the near-constant rush-hour-like traffic, but also the motorcycles weave in / out in the right lane and use the far right side as their own lane, often brushing by as I'm walking (soooo close). Take a taxi or Uber, the cost is about $2.

Its rare that I get any download speeds slower than 10 mbps, with 20 being more typical. Consistent download speeds of 4 mbps are usually fast enough to stream -- key word: 'consistent'. Manila condos are often in the 20-50 mbps these days. However condo's out in the provinces, even with PLDT, are often in the 4-5 mbps arena (some such airbnb owners now advertise 'streaming Netflix' speeds). When airbnb-shopping, I contact the owner / caretaker in advance to ask about this. They rarely have any good answer to MBPS, but they know if their Internet wifi will stream Youtube and Netflix, and they will tell you if it is 'unlimited' or not. If not, its usually a Globe pre-paid pocket wifi. I decline any owner who says they will pay for the first few GB of data and the customer will load it after (that ain't 'unli' and its a good indication that they don't have a fiber, DSL, or cable hookup.

Having said that, I cannot say that Cebu hotel Internet speeds have improved, as the condo explosion caused me to run from Cebu hotels. I can get a condo studio unit along Maxilom (near Mango Park) or Ayala for under $25/ night with full kitchen and streaming Internet, or a 1-bedroom unit for about $35-$40/ night. Who needs a hotel in Cebu? The only advantage to a hotel that I can see is that they clean the room daily. Hell, I have cebuanas for that.

I always take Grab (BTW there was no more Uber last time I was there in June and July of this year, only Grab).

1. 8 km is not much, I'm also a fast walker so 15 minutes of walking is not bad in a hot weather, remember this is only during the Sinulog parade, the other days I will take taxi.

They run along Escario street, 1 block from Ayala. About 1 block up on Escario street (west, towards Fuente) on the right side are two laundries, almost side by side (there is a small resto between them specializing in coffee and treats). One of those laundries is 24 hour service, the other (closer to Ayala) offers 4 hour service for p160 for up to 3 kg of laundry. Perfect for a bloody bedsheet. Another block or two up is Trillium Residences (google map the location), where I have stayed before (love the location and price). Will also stay in the area at Sinulog in a condo for p1100/ night (see PG, page 3, #9433, enjoy). Also there is another laundry location, inside Ayala, just next to the Rustan's entrance at the parking garage downstairs, p35/ kilo. I was using the faster laundry on Escario, I'd drop off a 3 kg load at 9 am, and usually by 12:30 pm it would be done when I stopped back (two block walk).

Also for reference, there was a laudrette in the Raintree Mall, on F Rama St, across from Robinson's Fuente (one block up on Rama). Its inside the same mall with Bo's Coffee, in the back. Also there is a dentist there (p500 for cleaning).

No dryer; if you wash a sheet, it will spin dry modestly well, but then you have to have somewhere (inside or on the balcony) to hang it to continue drying -- better to take sheets to a lavanderia. OTOH, looked recently at a 1-bedroom unit that had both washer and dryer inside (plenty of room). I pack with 10 days of clothing (not necessarily 10 pieces of everything), so I might jaunt to the laundry every 6-8 days. I have also found that if you can wait a full 24 hours to get your clothes back, most laundries will pick up / drop off your clothes. Other answer: I have regulars in all of my joy-towns. Almost every single girl has volunteered to take my laundry home and bring back the next day (if she lives in the same town), and they never ask more than the going laundry rates, sometimes less. Example, I mentioned the laundry on Escario that works for p160. One of my regular cebuanas will also take it home in the morning and bring it in the evening. Answer: Have rarely experienced a washing machine in a studio unit, anywhere in phils (twice, once Malate and once Makati, both on the balcony). .....I have seen a few on Airbnb, I will look for them if possible.

Some washers do not spin, clothes come out dripping wet and take long time to dry.

Some will spin only, not bad light stuff is almost wearable, drying time can be a couple hours in the sun for jeans.

Some have air dry, basically a slow spin with air blown through the drum, they will dry but expect about 4 hours to finish.

Only one Airbnb with full dryer, wash to dry in about 90 minutes.

Also beware most condos have rules about drying clothes outside of visible from outside. The enforcement is sporadic like the enforcement of all rules here, rich foreigners can afford the fines, poor locals need to dry their clothes somehow so the property managers pick on the ones who will pay the fines and let the locals go.

Never had a bad experience of using laundries and some don't have a minimum amount / charge. Maybe I am lucky as I use the same one a lot and as they know me I get the service. Also took one pair jeans in and they washed and pressed in the same day (and repaired a minor issue) same day. Never asked them to repair the hole in the jeans but they did.

Westie, I jumped on AirBnB to answer my own question and several condos in Trillium specifically, and the Ayala area generally, now do have washers and some dryers as well. Even down to the $30 per night places.

I guess they are now becoming more of a standard inclusion unlike not so long ago. Look for photos of washer / dryers or desrcriptions of 'in the appartment' not just 'in the building, free or for a fee'.

I paid for the pinalove site. Regrettably, I didn't get much traction there probably because I'm Indian. It's not a hurdle that I could cross eventually. I had communicated with two girls. One girl flaked and said it's too late for her to come and I would fall asleep (while I was asking her to come). Then she wanted to come next day, but I took a tour out. I talked with another girl and it's hard to discern what she was after (being very insistent that she wasn't after money) but she wouldn't go near any talk of sex.

I then moved to the city. I went to the Quest hotel since it had decent reviews and reports of the best internet (including routers in every room). Quest hotel was mostly bad. I went and got a massage at "Massage and Spa" on Mango and Juana Osmena st. This is next to a Caltex gas station. I really just wanted a regular massage, but lady upfront convinced me to do a full body scrub. I figured okay, maybe I'll get something extra out of it. So, I opt for the full deal. This girl comes in and asks me to take everything off. I left my underwear but she came and said, everything off. I paid for the pinalove site. Regrettably, I didn't get much traction there probably because I'm Indian. It's not a hurdle that I could cross eventually. I had communicated with two girls. Shangri La is way out of town and unless you target girls in Mactan you will have limited chance of getting girls from the city as takes way too long to get there.

Internet speeds are slow in the country and it sucks so get used to it. It is well reported on in the forum so a RTFF would have told which is the better operator.

Am surprised by the comment in Quest as I have stayed there before and it was OK. But your experience is more recent. However wherever you go it is slow unless you perhaps pay for a pocket WiFi with higher speeds, but you will pay as the country has one of the most expensive internet services in Asia.

Lots girls Ayala if you are patient, watch and have a game. They not be to your choice (definitely not mine) but they are there and some will approach you if sitting outside at Bos or Starbucks.

Of course Shangri La is nice it a 5 star hotel and you paid top dollar. You would have more fun in Red Planet IMHO and paid far less IMHO! I have been there but only to eat etc never to stay. Why pay crazy prices and be so far from the action.

I arrived in Cebu City from Dumaguete Friday night. It took me a full hour to figure out how to get out of the airport. The domestic side was impossible with over an hour wait for a regular cab and no responses from Grab. I finally had the insight to walk over to International where there was absolutely no line (I think due to general lack of tourists and no flights from China at all). Still, another hour and a half in miserable traffic to the ABC hotel on F. Ramos St. The hotel is clean and close to the action at Mango Square. I got there about 9:30 or so. They eased the lockdown restrictions here at the beginning of the month, the malls started to open up, taxis appeared once again on the streets, my condo building (near Ayala Mall) allowed visitors again (they had to fill out an online 'health declaration' form before they were allowed in) but then suddenly on June 16 the authorities reimposed full lockdown again (back to ECQ) and all the malls had to shut and all taxis were taken off the roads and my condo building will not allow visitors.

All households (250,000 households, 1 million residents) in Cebu City had to apply for a quarantine pass back in March, to be shown before being allowed into a supermarket or to be shown if stopped out on the street by the police. These passes were suddenly cancelled last Tuesday and people were told to remain indoors until new passes were issued. And everyone under the age of 21 or over 60 (I am in my mid 60's) is still not allowed to go outdoors, even when the restrictions were eased up at the beginning of the month this age group were still not allowed to go outdoors.

I did go out this afternoon, I have been out most days since the start of lockdown, either to go out to get food, or for a walk for exercise.

I have not been issued with my new pass so technically I was breaking the law this afternoon and could have been fined, I went to Rustans to buy some food, there were very few people out and about and very few cars.Good FR Mdemde.

But its hard to get a real impression of what traffic is like using the internet. E. , Osmena, IT Park, Ayala etc.).

Given this is a first for me, I have made many "rookie mistakes" that I definitely learned from. Here's a few of such. Downloaded Pina Love and tried to gather up some girls who are willing to accommodate. Messaged one who seemed rather friendly and nice. We chatted for a few days and then "can you please help; I will do anything. Please send for load and food". She was quite the looker so I asked if she could send some pictures or videos. She did and asked for "help". I asked how much, and she replied 5000 pesos. Uh, wtf. I said no, she then kept lowering and lowering. I agreed to send 500 p she was rather happy and sent me some more enticing videos and promised to take good care of me when we met. Yes, I know mistake on my part but definitely learned quick. Fast forward a few weeks and received a message asking for help again. I told her straight up, no. She said it's okay don't worry sent me a few more pictures. Another few weeks pass by, this time with a new reason / excuse she needs help. "Please anything will help, my phone is in the pawn shop and I need help getting it back".
