Have they made any improvements to the water pressure in the showers?Yes water pressure has improved the last year or so. They re-piped many of the rooms & cleaned the shower heads. You actually get hot water now too.

It depends on the room. My room wasn't ready when I arrived and I had to stay one night in the double suite on the top floor, it had terrible water pressure. When I moved to a deluxe single on the same floor the water pressure was so good it seemed like it could strip the paint off of a car.

Nothing is worse than doing the needful when you are also sweaty and hot and can only take a cold shower afterwards.In my experience, I been there (8 times this year) the ac and the shower stability depends on the room size, it seems the rooms on the the side (by the disco) always run better, on the other side the higher the floor the worse the ac and shower. There is also a bomb pizza shop around the corner that I went to. It also seemed a lot of the same girls was active this time, most of the girls are not very engaging especially the ones who sit by the coffee stand right before you go into the restaurant area.

A small all inclusive in Juan Doilo. Was there this past year for a week. The only downsides I would say there is, is that everything is covered, you can't flush TP, and the air conditioning only runs in the evening and night hours.

The only downsides I would say there is... you can't flush TP, You must be new to international travel. This is the case in most countries. Or maybe you have been traveling around clogging mfs' plumbing!

I would always wake up in the morning because it got to be hot as fuck when they turned the air conditioning breaker off at the front desk off. I think you used to have to call downstairs to get them to turn the hot water on too.

Last time I took a very attractive and well developed young lady to a resort in Juan Dollio, from casa Theresa, she whined about needing me to buy her a new swimsuit. I ended up sending her back the next day by taxi, to get rid of her! Dominican women try to press the boundaries.

$420 a night is very high, based up on DR rates. And most girls from the casa in Santo Domingo would be overjoyed to be take to a resort, even with AC part of the day!

Can you compare both places?I've only visited DR once, and it was here. So I wouldn't really be able to compare it with BBs.

However everything at SPAV was included. Three meals a day, transit to / from the airport, as well as to San Pedro for a COVID test, and daily laundry. One 24 hour (23 hours a day really) girl included with the choice to swap them out every day, and extra girl for 12 hour day or night cost 100 USD.

I'll be candid, the primary reason I chose that was they have a forum with extensive review and testimonials, and that it was all inclusive. At the time I couldn't find anything on Blackbeards. I don't even think I found this forum at the time either.

When you first get there and its you're first or second time, the woman kind of smell blood. You will have 2 to 3 girls knock on you're door before you even settle in, do not fall for the happy hour they offer you. Relax, take you're time and peep the scenery.

There are two shifts of girls, day shift has less than the night time, change of shift is usually bet 430/530. Do not make appointments with a girl unless you are sure you want to be with her. Do get into habit of buying all the girls drinks, they will hold you to that everyday, move boss like you are the one with the money. There is a good brick oven pizza shop around the corner. More luxury go to Medellin, I lived there from 2017-19 you can live as luxurious as you want. The problem is you will have to "hunt" if you want to find working girls. You'll need to search for prepagos (escorts) online or go to Parque Lleras Thurs-Sat and see what's available. There is a place people claim is like Blackbeards in Medellin called the mansion or casa blanca (same place two names). I don't give a shit what people on the internet say, I have been there multiple times both as a guest staying overnight and as a guest to visit the bar they call the cave on the weekends, this is NOT like Blackbeards. Why you ask?

1) The girls set their rate. Although some are similar, on the weekend when some of the hotter girls come in they charge more.

2) NO FOOD. There is no restaurant on premises, you need to order out if you want to eat. They do make breakfast some days but ultimately you need to order in or go out.

3) NO DAY BAR. The bar is not open during the day. You have to go to the supermarket that is fairly close and buy some booze for day drinking.

4) In comparison to Nico and the managers at Blackbeards, the staff do not give a fuck at the mansion. I am pretty high maintenance when it comes to hotels and the staff at blackbeards ALWAYS delivers and they are professional. The staff at the mansion is laughable. The rooms are falling apart and in need of remodel and repair. (last time I was there was 2019).

5) Girls are not tested or screened. This comment is anecdotal because I cannot prove blackbeards tests there girls either. Take what I say with a grain of salt but I knew this girl that was working there regularly really nice, super pretty and she told me that she got herpes from some guy that she was with. She told me this while we were at the cave bar and she was working! BE CAREFUL! Again, maybe this happens at Blackbeards, but I have not heard of it specifically and I have been to Blackbeards multiple times a year since about 2013.

6) Its Medellin and can be dangerous. One time before I moved there I was staying at the mansion and one of the guests was robbed of his cell phone, wallet and watch right outside of the hotel. It seems like thiefs hide out nearby because the hotel is down a quiet very private street. If you yell, no one is coming. The general area the mansion is in is not super dangerous, its actually a really nice area but because that hotel is mainly tourists the bandits like to wait for gringos to go out alone. Blackbeards is in a gated village and when you are bored you can leave Blackbeards and really not have to worry. I have walked down to the beach area late at night because some of the bars on the beach have nightly Karaoke and its a very entertaining scene, I never felt threatened, and never felt danger at all at any time of day or night.

7) The girls schedule is poorly organized. There where multiple times at the mansion where there was no girls working or only 1 or 2 girls working with a full hotel. Not cool. Never had that at Blackbeards, ever!

8) This is my last point. I have made very good friends with guys that have stayed at Blackbeards. Hell, the last time I was there I met some of the coolest most chill guys ever. In fact one of the guys is joining me when I go back in March. I am going to offend some but at the Mansion there are some real douchbags go there to visit. Understand, Colombian women usually have lighter skin color than Dominican women. Some guys choose to go to the mansion because of this and you can feel the racist stank ass attitude the entire time. Lets face it, we are with girls for a few hours at a time, we spend a lot of time shooting the shit with our fellow degenerates, having a bunch of good guys around you can really enhance the trip.

Personally I did not care for the Mansion in comparison to Blackbeards. Yes, if you leave the mansion there is more "luxury" in Medellin, especially if you go just slightly outside the city to the area I lived called Envigado. That part of town has really nice restaurants, bars and nightclubs. It's usually safe in that area as well. I have stumbled around Envigado at 3 am drunk off my ass and never had an issue. You do need to speak Spanish, rarely did I meet someone that knew anymore than a few words of English.

Overall Blackbeards is a much more relaxing place. I can let my guard down, I can enjoy the girls, enjoy the hotel, the beach, the restaurants in Costambar and even if you want to leave the walled village puerto plata has some cool nightclubs with bottle service and some smoking hot women. Funny story, in November I was in Challos, a Puerto Plata night club and they had these two girls in costumes walking around trying to sell shots of Patron tequilla. The one girl was a solid 10 smoke show! I mentioned that to one of my friends. He was shit faced and told her. She looked at me and gave me that face like, Ok do something about it, Lets go! Like an ass I froze and didn't do anything. I got roasted by my friends for a week after that. I am a guy that likes luxury as well, if I wanted to go to a place that had luxury and not to have to "hunt" for women I would go to Hong Kong or Bangkok. In Latin America you can find luxury but you have to look for it, there are other places that do luxury better. You are kinda right about the quality of the girls. Its not that the girls aren't sexy, pretty, etc. The problem is the attitude. They are young and have no idea what they are doing. In November it was the most boring group of girls. Like I said in my post before, during the parties at BB's in the past it was a wild scene with girls getting tipsy and dancing all night. Now they just stand in the corner while Hildy\Hilda messes with the music. That's why I left and went to Challos Friday night, much more action out there. The girls need to be coached to approach the guys, talk them up, chit chat, flirt, snuggle all those things that get a guy in the mood. That happened before and that's part of what made BB's legendary. It's not that its bad now, its just not the same as before and guys need to put in a minimal to little effort to get some of the girls attention. The solution I found was that a few beers and some food go a long long way. Don't be a cheap bastard. Investing a few dollars in the girls by buying them a large beer or cocktail or a plate of snacks is DIRECTLY investing in your vacation and will pay dividends! If you bring some "gifts" with you it also helps. I personally don't do this, but I've seen some guys bring candy, chocolate. A friend of mine has a foot fetish and brought a whole bunch of shoes with him and the girls went nuts for it.

What I personally like to do is focus on one or two girls, chat with them, hang out with them, have fun with them, get their whatsapp, chat occasionally while I am home and when I return I bring them something a little more expensive (for them not me) like perfume or wine or something they want and can't afford or can't get in the DR. When you give a girl a gift like that, she will tell or brag to the other girls and they want to start buttering you up so they can get a gift next time. My name is Jay.Sadly I will not be at BlackBeards when you arrive since I have tested Positivo for Covid and currently in self quarantine in Sosua hoping for a negative test in time to make my flight home. I was at Blaclbeards briefly but stayed in the room (self quarantine) the whole time until I could get a hotel in Sosua booked.

Seems as if Covid is traveling fast around these parts. While in line to get tested at least five people tested positive. Two guys waiting result were taking their second test after testing positive the week before at Blackbeards both had come to Sosua to quarantine for the week. He said there were four in the group he tested with that tested positive. Of course this is what they told me and it may be all bullshit who knows.

Blackbeards is (or was) designed to be a place where a gringo who has zero experience or Spanish could just sit back and let the chicas approach. The Mansion was never set-up like that. At the Mansion you have to chat with the girl because they rarely approach you.

Greetings Team Monger. The once world famous Geolopes is here. After a long hiatus since 2016 I'm back. If I may brag, I was honored to be recognized as an ISG Reporter of Distinction from my 12 trips to BB's, 2 to the MDE Mansion, 1 to Panama and 2 to CR at La Amistad and Cocal. I'm out of practice and I have to take a mad piss typing this so please accept this rushed draft before I piss myself. I write this to get back in practice as I relearn this site, and to honor my departed best friend and wingman Richie. Richie was close to the BB's departed owner John. John lived in on the Inter-Costal in Pompano beach, FL when he wasn't running BB's. Richie had a condo there and would constantly visit John when he was slowly dying. I visited John at home once too and he looked great and not too thin. His house appeared comfortably modest on the outside but was incredible inside with his vast collection of indiginous art from Central and South America meticulously arrayed everywhere. He relied heavily on my posts, which he loved, and our personal, private reports to him on how well his place was running when he was away in Florida recovering. The general area the mansion is in is not super dangerous, its actually a really nice area but because that hotel is mainly tourists the bandits like to wait for gringos to go out alone. Blackbeards is in a gated village and when you are bored you can leave Blackbeards and really not have to worry. I have walked down to the beach area late at night because some of the bars on the beach have nightly Karaoke and its a very entertaining scene, I never felt threatened, and never felt danger at all at any time of day or night.

7) The girls schedule is poorly organized. There where multiple times at the mansion where there was no girls working or only 1 or 2 girls working with a full hotel. Not cool. Never had that at Blackbeards, ever!

8) This is my last point. I have made very good friends with guys that have stayed at Blackbeards. Hell, the last time I was there I met some of the coolest most chill guys ever. In fact one of the guys is joining me when I go back in March. I am going to offend some but at the Mansion there are some real douchbags go there to visit. Understand, Colombian women usually have lighter skin color than Dominican women. Some guys choose to go to the mansion because of this and you can feel the racist stank ass attitude the entire time. Personally I did not care for the Mansion in comparison to Blackbeards. Transportation and Check-In.

This time, I flew into Puerto Plata (POP) instead of Santiago (STI). The Puerto Plata airport seems to welcome the tourist trade more than the Santiago airport does. There was actually a trio of musicians (drum, shaker, and accordion) playing in the corridor just off the jetway. They were decked out in floral shirts and seemed to be having a great time. There were plenty of customs official working, and I got my passport stamped after waiting less than five minutes.

Jenny's has a WAY better exchange rate than airport cambios. When time came for me to leave, Blackbeards had a driver waiting for me to take me to the airport. Later, I stopped at Jenny's again on my way home to change some of my extra Dominican pesos back into US dollars; once again, the transaction fees were tiny.

I know it seems corny, but it was really nice to be welcomed by a few chicas cheering my arrival. Check-in went quickly. I paid for my room in cash (US dollars) and signed the blank account ledger for my room. I still wish BBs would adopt a more modern account system so that you could monitor your tab total in real time. To prevent myself from losing track of my expenses and getting a nasty shock at check out, I paid cash for all my meals and drinks.

The Room.

I requested and received room D2. It was where I stayed my first time at BBs; suffice it to say it has good memories for me. There's a comfortable king-sized bed with a firm mattress and lots of pillows, a couch with a coffee table in front of it, a small round table with two chairs, a refrigerator, and a moveable adjustable 4-foot mirror that can be angled to give you a view of all the action. The place feels spacious, with windows on two sides. It has plenty of closet storage and a room safe. The room was clean but needed maintenance. The tub bore the marks where a bathmat had once been affixed to it. The cover plate in the tub directly below the spigot was rusting away. I was at BB earlier this year for the first time, although I had been going to Sosua for years.

There were probably 8 to 10 girls around during the day. Sometimes a few more, sometimes a few less. Keep in mind that they work in shifts, so there will always be some in the rooms you are not seeing.

Interesting to find this post here. I'm an ex Su viditor that just tried Colombia for the first time. I was at BB earlier this year for the first time, although I had been going to Sosua for years.

There were probably 8 to 10 girls around during the day. Sometimes a few more, sometimes a few less. Keep in mind that they work in shifts, so there will always be some in the rooms you are not seeing.

I found the day crew to be more chill, just hanging out. There were generally two types. Those literally just hanging out with a few of the other girls. You approach them or just say Hello,. The other type was a little group together with one or two girls that would try to attract you over, or come sit by you at the bar.

These are just shifts really and the same girls. The week I was there I noticed some girls worked day shift some days, and other dats they worked nights. The shifts / girlschange about 5.

The bar. Restaurant. And poolside area are more active at night. More girls, more guests AR bar and restaurant more drinking, and more hookups going on.

One piece of advice I would give you is don't overthink or over-research it. The beauty of BB is that they are all right there, for you, andnot much to figure out.

You will run into seasoned vets very quickly, just talk with them. They ALL love to tell you how ling they have been there. Who else they know, and whuch girls they really like. They like to take you under their wing, I think it is exciting to them helping you pop your BB cherry.

I met one that was a real hoot. Been going for likr 15 plus years. He rents a condo next door, and also one at BB just to keep mgmt. Happy because even though he usually has 4 or 5 girls with him and buying drinks for them, he takes just as many next door out of the place a few nights.

Friendly and funny guy that loves to share his wisdom and stories of conquests. The old vets seemed to all know each other after bumping into one another so many times over the years. Its like a fraternity. Or a 40 year fraternity reunion as lots of lost hair, gray hair, and bigger bellies. Ha!

There just will not be a pool involved, and you can probably fuck them for less than the price of the drink at the Mansion.Sometimes, I feel like the mansion should pay me for the good press. Mr E, you are invaluable to this board. But I got to disagree with you here. I've yet to find a casa in MDE where you can sit around (for hours on end if you want) and flirt with the girls. Casas have their own lane and yes, they provide a daytime option. But the mansion (& presumably BB) provides a little downtime fun.

As for cost, the bar by the pool at the mansion (if you can call it that LOL) is not overpriced at all. As for the girls, yes, they are more expensive than most casas. 200 k is the going rate. But thr level of service, in my opinion, FAR exceeds a casa.

To each their own. We all have different preferences. I just disagree that the mansion and casas are comparable options.

You no longer have a need to go to the restaurant area to access the WiFi. The new management now takes the phones from the girls when they are working. Apparently, managers noticed the girls talking and writing on the phones while ignoring the patrons. In the evenings, about nine, the girls all go upstairs to the disco. Just prior to this is more or less last call for the girls. The mamason plays the music so loud, on several days during this trip, ALL the men went down to the restaurant. You cannot even hear yourself think up there. Immediately after the music ends, the girls leave for the night. Sort of a bad business philosophy to segregate the girls from the customers at the height of the night.....

Oh I miss it.I found HDR in San Jose, Costa Rica to be a dump full of overly aggressive putas. And the less attractive they were, the more pushy and aggressive. That being said, HDR was something that just had to be experienced at least once. I strongly preferred Sportsmen's Lodge for ambiance. More of a convivial "Cheers Bar" joint with nice girls willing to make you happy without being in your face. Few 9-10 stunners, but plenty of warm, wet, and willing orifices. For a kid-in-candy-store event, go to a large German FKK, with dozens of mostly naked 7-9's walking about ready and willing. For a fully immersive sexcapade, go to Thailand or the Philippines. Personally, I'm looking forward to my first Caribbean mongering experience visiting Blackbeard's in the DR in January. Not expecting anything on par with Bangkok or Pattaya, but I'm looking forward to a nice relaxing trip with my best friend.

Bartenders & wait staff seem to be old hands. Veteran guests knew them. Have no idea about cooking & cleaning staff.

The massage & mani / pedi offering is no more.

Recently returned from my first ever visit to the Caribbean, to the Dominican Republic, and to Blackbeard's Resort. My wingman and I have travelled the world together. Thailand, Spain, Germany, etc. I have myself mongered all over the world on my own as well. We wanted a destination a bit closer to USA shores. He had mongered in the DR before, but never visited Blackbeard's.

I found BB's to be somewhat of a middle ground between to our highly transactional experiences in German FKKs and with Bangkok bargirls compared to "wifing up" for extended visits with Thai civilians, or my experience with Pinay nannies and shop clerks looking for love in their overseas postings. BB's is clearly transactional, but you can form a bond, of sorts, with the girls. Frankly doing so enhances the probability you'll get exactly what you want from the puta (s) of your choices.

BB's is a nice, laid back environment. You can chill with your mates, watch sports, bend an elbow, then excuse yourself to get your nut. The girls for the most part are not too mercenary, but some push very hard to an exact time, an appointment, if you aren't prepared to say yes right at the moment. Avoid that trap. You might need to pay even if you chose not to go with the lady later.

Only had a "problem" with one girl, and it was when I failed to ensure, before we headed to my room, exactly what I wanted and more importantly what I absolutely did NOT want. I knew what would work for me, and what would make getting my nut more difficult, and no matter how strongly I said stop doing that, she persisted until I cut the session short.

Our visit was marred by an incident the evening of the Georgia-TCU blowout. Another guest, "Golfer John" from Florida, made a terrible scene, ultimately reducing a very competent and friendly waitress to tears because, frankly, he was an asshole. He was drunk, angry, and in the wrong, but wouldn't let go. His friends apologized, but I don't think he ever did. He should have, to both the waitress and everyone else there.

Nico was there, being forced to listen to the asshole's bitching. Instead of trying to diffuse the situation, he should have had security offer Golfer John the choice of either retiring to his room, or checking out, immediately.

Have to agree. I enjoyed my first trip to the DR and to BB's, but Thailand is far better along every dimension except travel time. Better food, better sightseeing, lower cost-per-nut, better & lower cost hotels & villas, ability to "wife up" or take a "holiday girlfriend" and get spoiled rotten in and out of the bedroom.

But DR is a hell of a lot easier for a long weekend mongering trip with your best mates.

Work at your pace, check out all the girls there before you jump right into it. Some will try to convince you to commit the entire day with them (more money), there are two shifts of girls the 10- 4 early shift and then the close out 4 -10 shift. About 15 - 20 girls on a good day. There is a good restaurant around the corner called ricks, Italian food they open at 5 pm.

I made a recent trip to BB's, I will try to comment on some of the questions below. First time since before Covid. Things have changed much, Nico is still there, another man that works there, don't know his name, was there last time. Some of the wait staff is still there, but I never new all of them. There used to be a booklet of rules in the rooms, and chica prices, but I didn't see that I my room but it was mailed. Prices for short term are $3000 (pesos). On the weekend on the evening shift, real attracive chicas, the bikini contest was incredible. During the day, most of the time, a few diamonds in the rough, but most of them stayed on their phone while I was there.

I did notice that if I wasn't ready at the moment, they would want to try and make and appointmen, and many tried to pair up with a chica for a twosome appointment. Simply learn to say "No thank you, maybe later" in Spanish, and you won't have any problem. I traveled solo, lot's of great dudes to talk with while there. This has always been the case, even more so this trip.

The beach area with restaurants is still there, pretty much the same, but most of them had changed hands. Sole mia still there. There was another place that I ate last time off the beach, can't remember the name but walked by it, also a different them now.

I made a recent trip to BB's, I will try to comment on some of the questions below. First time since before Covid. Things have changed much, Nico is still there, another man that works there, don't know his name, was there last time. Some of the wait staff is still there, but I never new all of them. There used to be a booklet of rules in the rooms, and chica prices, but I didn't see that I my room but it was mailed. Prices for short term are $3000 (pesos). On the weekend on the evening shift, real attracive chicas, the bikini contest was incredible. During the day, most of the time, a few diamonds in the rough, but most of them stayed on their phone while I was there.

I did notice that if I wasn't ready at the moment, they would want to try and make and appointmen, and many tried to pair up with a chica for a twosome appointment. I'll preface this review with a BIG disclaimer. I'm a little different. My perfect experiences do not match most mongers. So this is my opinion. Value it as you see fit.

First, the price for a taxi from within the port area is set. $25 each way. $50 round trip. For some reason the driver wanted to wait there for me. I warned him it would be several hours but he said that was fine. I suppose a taxi outside of the port area might be cheaper. But based on what I saw, I would not advise it. The drive, while feeling very safe, was not through the middle of a city. The area immediately outside of the port was fairly desolate. I didn't see alot of taxis and certainly, no obvious area to wait for a taxi. The taxi fares are posted so $25 is a safe bet. The driver also stopped at Jenni's on the way in and the way out.

Will I go back? I'm not sure. The place was nice enough. The limited staff I met was great. The accomodations, while certainly not luxurious, were adequate. And as others have mentioned, $3000 is the rate.

To be fair, this quick stop was never going to go very well for me. I am not a guy that looks to hit it and quit it. But, with only a few hours with my boots on the ground, that's all I had. It's just not my game. I like to chill out, share a drink or two, get to know them, etc. But knowing time was short, I chose the first girl that I found attractive. Her name was Carmen.
