If you find a good provider then it's happy days.
Downside is you have less choice and nothing is guaranteed.

This forum is all you need to explore the various AMPS that are reported on. I always use the Metro and have lately been staying at the Ibis on Al Rigga, not that there is any action in this hotel but its within my per diem and is actually within walking distance of many places that could be describe as a 'school boys dream'.
To find the actual location of many of these places download the App 2 gis, its brilliant and tells you what's in every building when you tap on the building (especially when you are looking for a place), another great App to use is Maps. Me it allows you to have a GPS on your Iphone without any data connection (it works off the cell phone towers), for roaming this is brilliant also.
Do the research on the net and you will always have a smile on your face in Dubai, must make mention of thanks to all the senior members who are the backbone of this forum, without them us part-timers visiting Dubai would be struggling, if I found something new I would sure report it, but only just visiting Dubai for a night every two months I can only ride on their shirt tails, but really appreciate the forum and their contributions.

From there on, it is really easy to find.

Parking for my car was easy to find and even for free during the afternoon hours.

I will simply describe this as the downstairs SS as it is right next door to Carrefour but not upstairs. Thought I would share my own experience for the water massage place behind Al Manama near bowling. Bought voucher online for 30 mins massage 30 minutes Moroccan bath so I called and made a booking and was keen to try it out for the 1st time based on some other good reviews.

For the first time I decided to buy a voucher (actually 2) through YB for a 30 minutes massage plus 30 minutes Moroccan bath. The facility is near a hypermarket recently mentioned several times.

In any case I decided to explore further to see what the house standards could be and asked for a BJ. She denied and said "No no". The conversation to clarify these basic points was quite difficult as her English skills are less than zero.
Actually I cannot imagine how any action could take place as the rooms have partitions and no door, just a sliding curtain that offers no privacy. Once finished the first half hour she took me downstairs, through the entrance hall, to a small room were she open the steam and left. It was a small room and the amount of steam was definitely insufficient. She returned and started a crappy scrub and tried again with the HJ that I firmly refused.

I used to be a regular at this AMP (PM me for the name). Had a few regulars there. Suganya and Maria (Thai) for FS.

There's an AMP between Reef Mall and Crowne Plaza in Deira. It looks similar to the one opposite York in Bur Dubai and may be run by the same people.
The price list is very similar - 150 Dhs for a basic one hour massage. The massage rooms are very nice. Tastefully decorated with modern furnishings. They are clean and look like they've been refurbished very recently.
However, the girls are terrible. Not great to look at and with a seriously bad attitude. They look miserable and are simply there to extract as much money out of you as possible. They give you a sob story saying that they don't have a salary. One asked me for 300 Dhs for a hand job after the massage!
So, not a great experience at all. I would not go back.
