Hi,

We're 2 americans planning a trip to CR; we'll be staying at La Amistad; we're looking for a group of 2-3 girls to have fun with. Should be into lesbi, as well as anal and fisting action. Non-clock watchers; we would prefer friends that know each other and more amateurish rather than pro. Wouldn't mind paying higher fees for the right performance. Any info on where to look for this would be highly appreciated.

Thanks!Well if you find some let us all know so we can get our hands up there also, I offer $10 to tickle her tonsils.

In fact get the whole del ray in, see who can reach the furthest. What a video that would be for the forum!

Does anyone have any recommendations for English-speaking on-line dating in Costa Rica similar to Date in Asia?

Thanks

A lot of Asian-Americans visit Costa Rica, and I've met quite a few girls who prefer them. Try not to get offended when even after telling them what country you are from they still call you "Chino".I had that in Costa Rica as well as my recent trip to Dominican Rep. It's the way they communicate and they don't mean any offence at all. Even had a middle age guy working in a hotel who extended his hand to me and asked "Hola Chino, how is your vacation so far?"

Are most guys visiting San Jose this year (and in the foreseeable future) no longer doing side trips to Jaco? Is it no longer worth it anymore getting out to Jaco?

Are most guys visiting San Jose this year (and in the foreseeable future) no longer doing side trips to Jaco? Is it no longer worth it anymore getting out to Jaco?I don't know about anyone else, but Jaco was the highlight of my trip. I went to CR for 5 days in October. Stayed at Cocal hotel and casino. Hotel Cocal is crazy on Friday and Saturday nights, and worthwhile on any other night, in my opinion. Like fishing in a goldfish bowl. Anybody with $50-$80 can fish for an hour.

Anyone been to the Pirate Club lately? Heard it is a pretty nice place these days and was going to be in CR in Feb and wanted to see if I should add it to the agenda?

Thanks

ThanksHaven't been to the Pirate Club or anywhere else in CR for over 6 months, but I'd recommend checking it out whether you hear from anyone else on this board or not. I've had some good luck there in the past. Like any place, it can be "hit or miss."

ThanksMr Jetsetter is right; the place can be hit or miss. Price if I remember correctly is $35 for a half hour and $50 for the hour. The rooms are nice but the beds suck, squeak, squeak, squeak, something terrible. Take a look at the photo session I posted a photo of a pirate's club chica from my August trip. Super wild in the room, my last trip in November they had a cute little 18 year old working there slightly plump but had smooth skinned tinder breasted 18 year old girl look to her. I was there last March with Mr. Jetsetter and there was a super-hot Puerto Rican girl working there who up in the room offered up her culo and did all three inputs all natural for a total of cien.

Friday nights they have lesbian shows on the bar, the place is owned by an American from North Carolina I believe the majority of the customers are local ticos but I have always felt welcomed there. It does get slow at times when there is hardly anyone there and the girls all look board.

Hope this helps

When is the best time to go to CR weather wise? Does the rain get in the way of mongering?

I was thinking of staying at La Amistad in July or August.

ThanksThe rain DOES NOT get in the way of mongering! The only thing that interferes with mongering are holiday periods surrounding Easter and Christmas. Peruse any guide book or a ton of other sources for weather patterns.

Blog article translates news from Spanish language news sources and includes photos of this guy's facebook page. They found him dead, naked in his Escazu condo after he took a bullet in the head. So typical, Colombian hookers running around when police show up at scene that was a big orgy.

Thanks, $If you like Rio, and I bet you did, you'll like Costa Rica as well. The latinas here have nice butts but the tits seem to be bigger. They seem to want to please their guy. I find the Germans as not nearly as pretty and hot bloodied.

You have two cities for mongering. San Jose, the capital and largest city is the main hub and Jaco Beach, a smaller beach community of 10,000 is secondary. Jaco women seem to be a little darker but still the same. Flight yes, so many direct flights. Most hubs you can be in San Jose a little after lunch. Come on down, you will be glad you did.

Wonder if he found his ladies. I'm figuring no. Reminds me of a request from some gentlemen coming down a few months ago had for me. We have a famous bridge here in Costa Rica over the Tarcoles river, where there are about 40 huge crocodiles just hanging around. I always stop at this bridge and let newbies look, take photos and just hang out for a few minutes before we continue to Jaco. Well, I had this request to bring along a live cat or chicken to throw off the bridge. Didn't do it but thought, Lord have mercy, you get all kind of request in this business.

Do they have hennessy white by the case at the duty free departure? I'm looking to buy a case on the way out, thanks in advanceI don't think I have ever seen white in duty free. I really don't know if they will let you buy a case either. What I do know is SJO is one of the only airports that let you buy duty free on the way out. The prices are great and the selection is good. You can get a litre of Stoli for only $10. You can get a 3 pack, (2) 1 ltr. Bottles Stoli's and (1) 750 ml bottle of Stoli orange for $26. Let me know what you find out.

. What I do know is SJO is one of the only airports that let you buy duty free on the way out. .? What-am I misreading something-it's just the opposite. Every city in the US will allow duty free outbound to SJ from the leg that is direct to SJ. But buying is not allowed anywhere in the US when you get in to the US unless you are transferring to another international flight. Just google duty free and the airport you are leaving from and you'll get all the info you need, but no where in the US can you get off of an international flight as your last stop and buy something duty free. They are of course going to ask for your boarding pass for gate delivery.

As far as what you can bring back to the US:

https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/190/

/bringing-alcohol- (including-homemade-wine). To-the-USA-for-personal-use. That's the US Customs website. 1 litre duty free the rest taxable. Not worth it. But, I've never been hassled about 2 litres though other then once with an admonishment to only bring 1 litre.

Maybe he meant this true fact: that CR is one of the few that you can buy duty free when you arrive there. (And take advantage of that-dirt cheap booze.) The problem with duty free on the way out of SJ is of course they deliver it to the gate. If you have a connecting flight in the US, you know you have to thru security again with your bags. So you are going to have to get your luggage and put your duty free purchases in your check in bags. They aren't going to let you board with that size liquid.

But, I recently had a direct flight from SJ to a US city and a bunch of people had bought duty free stuff, including me. Stuff wasn't at the gate. People were buzzing. Captain wouldn't let SJO Duty Free do it, so everybody got refunded, late departure, and everyone was asking why is this different then any other international duty free purchase into the US. Have no reason why this happened, the 1st time for me, other then it was a flight that the airline had just started booking / flying direct to SJ that week and I think the crew was confounded?

Here's what I do when I get to SJ duty free because most times I can't get a non-stop going back to the US on the times I want. I buy everything I need for my stay, and I buy everything I plan to take back to the states. Customs doesn't care at SJO if you bring 15 bottles. That way when I leave SJ to return to the US I pack all the duty free stuff I bought and pack it in my check in bags and avoid all that hassle.

Happy flying. You were responding to the original post about a guy wanting to take booze from "duty free departure","on the way out" of SJO, his words. He wasn't asking about out of the airport on arrival in SJ. No mistaking that. No, you got caught and now you are just trying to cover your occcasional mis-informing non sense and blabber just to post, really just to post spam with your website link, as many on another board have accused. Now that this board has provided you with a sub category as they have for other serial posters in the past, why don't you put your spam in there?

Really on occasional some of the stuff you post is good info for new guys, but a lot is just not true. Like routine gorgeous mornings and sunsets in Jaco in the rainy months / Green Season? Airplanes being diverted from SJO to Liberia due to lack of fuel? Your "free" rides from the airport "only for tips"?

It seems like they don't have hennessy white there. I frequent the dr a lot and you can buy cases comming or going there at duty free. Also no option of a direct flight for me, I called united and they said I could check it in when I connect. As long as they don't break I'm good with that.

If United says you can check it in upon arrival at your transfer flight city, I'm guessing it will be for $50 as an additional bag. Just guessing.

Hello gents,

I am planning on a trip in October and have a few questions:

1. Know it is rainy season right now and in Oct, does it rain all day, or in short bursts? Unfortunately I cannot really change the dates. If I went to Jaco, could I find pockets of sunshine to hang out on the beach?

2. Have been to the DR, chicas go for $40-50 short time, $90-100 all night. How does CR compare?

3. One thing I liked about DR was picking up freelancers at the various clubs, Rumba, D'Latin, etc. Does CR have an equivalent or best to stick to established places like HDR? Can you pickup from clubs and / or is it worth it?

I have not booked anything as I am on the fence between CR and Colombia right now. CR seems to be a bit more established and monger friendly than Colombia.

The chicas in DR were mostly slim / petitie, what I prefer, but I also like a lighter skin hence why the switch in direction.

CR / Colombia seems to have the lighter skin chica, but it seems slim / petite is not the norm, am I right or off?

Thanks!

Thanks!October in Costa Rica is a rainy month. I often tell people is to not confuse Costa Rica's rainy (green season) with S. E. Asia monsoon season. Sure it rains but just about every day starts off with a beautiful sunrise and clear. Plenty of time to go ATV, zip lining, white water rafting, fishing excursions or just chilling on the beach. Around noon time it starts to cloud up and by 2 it rains for a couple of hours, only the clear up for a chamber of commerce beach sunset. More common than not.

Jaco is going to cost you a little more than the D. R. You might find a few for the price you quoted but you will have to work at it. I have never been to the D. R. Myself but I hear the quality is better here. I have seen some gorgeous D. R. Girls working here. That might tell you something.

As far as petite, we have all types here. This is what makes C. R. So attractive. All types and all shapes and sizes. Gorgeous Latin hot bloodied ladies for the pickings.

The women in San Jose will tend to be lighter skinned than in Jaco. Jaco has a beach and San Jose is in the mountainous central valley 3, 200 feet up.

My suggestion is always this for first timers. If you are going to have a week or so for vacation and want to truly experience.

What Costa Rica has to offer as far as the ladies go, try both San Jose and Jaco. Both are unique and different. San Jose has a ton of M. P. 's for short time visits $30-$50. Jaco has more activities in the day and the night life is great. Jaco is better on Thursday. Saturday nights. San Jose is better the rest of the days. Just remember, for the monger, there never is a bad time to come to Costa Rica. It's beautiful Latin women, close proximity to the USA and value is what makes it probably one of the top 3 mongering destinations for Gringos. Come on down, you'll be glad you did.

Thanks!1.) Just returend from a six day trip to CR. Split my time between Jaco and SJ. It only rained two days while I was in country and both times only for a little while. Jaco was warm and sunny almost every day I was there.

2.) $40 to $50 not even close, Jaco chicas all start out asking for $150. And many have that hardened "you're lucky I'm even considering talking to you" attitude. In Jaco I paid anywhere from $80 to $100 for short time had a few that would not budge from $150, turned their nose up and walked away when I offered $100. In SJ all chicas start out asking for $100 I paid anywhere from $60 to $80 attitudes and service where a little better in SJ than Jaco. Every girl and I mean every girl I had in Jaco wanted to be paid first and with every girl I had in Jaco it was a five to fifteen minute debate about getting paid first. I had three chicas leave because I would not pay first, I never pay upfront and you should never pay up front. There are some attractive women at both Jaco and SJ but in my opinion many of the women in the DR are just as equally attractive.

So far this year I've gone to the Philippines twice, twenty days in Thailand, two weeks in Rio, a week in Medellin at the Mansion, been to the boarder working girl towns along Texas three or four times and have been to the DR seven times, Sosua, Santo Domingo and Black Beards, and this trip to the CR was the first time I've had to accept a coverd blow job this year every place I've been to I've gotten BBBJ. In Jaco none and I mean none of the chicas would give a BBBJ all gave CBJ and very, very few allowed DATY, it was a little easier to get in SJ but still could not always get it there either.

By the way you are over paying in the DR, at least in Sosua, you should only pay $40 tops for short time and $80 tops for all night.

3.) HDR and the Sportsman in SJ and the Cocal in Jaco, similar to Rumba and D'Latin in that chicas hang out at these places try to make eye contact with you and try to get you to take them home. Not similar in that Rumba and D'Latin are / where outdoor bars / discos. The HDR is a hotel / casino and the Sportsman is a bar / hotel.

As far as the CR or Columbia goes, it's not even close, it's like getting accepted into your local community college and also getting accepted into Yale. Which one would you chose. In Columbia you will find women who in my opinion are just as hot if not hotter, price slightly less to substantially less and attitude and service that is a million times better than in CR. If it's your first time, stay at the Mansion, you won't regret it, it's similar to the Sportsman's or Del Ray only more tranquil and the quality control is great, girls have to be invited by the mansion they cannot just show up. You wake up go down stairs and there are these hot ass model type women purring around.

Having been to both places I would return to Medellin any day any time and already have my return trips booked. As for the CR, only if I come across a really super deal on air fare would I consider returning. It's not that the CR is bad, it isn't bad its actually pretty good, it's just that these other places are great.

Chris

I lived in Costa Rica for 3 months per year for 5 years. Average trip length about 3 weeks. I have been currently living in Medellin for 5 months per year for the past 2 1/2 years. Average trip length over a month.

Costa Rica is a good place to take a short trip for someone who has limited or no Spanish. Costa Rica's positives are good infrastructure for mongering and relative safety. The Del Rey, Sportsman's, as well as other places are cool to hang out in and they have girls on the premises. Plenty of massage parlors close by. Costa Rica has limited disease, relative to most other mongering destinations, and nice weather also.

Chris. I enjoyed both your writeups on the Medellin and Rio boards. Looks like you are having fun. Good luck on your future journeys and stay safe.

Hello to all,

Cheers BradIt is every easy to monger all the beautiful women of San Jose, however, you must determine if you want to bring a woman to your room, or use a hotel. Further, many women know rooms for a short time (por un rato) , that charge 6-10 colones (About 20 bucks).

I, being a NEW senior, like to have a nice and comfortable room with amenties, however, most of these do not allow women. Further, you want to consider if want a breakfast included (none, continental or full). If you stay downtown, the most comfortable hotel is the Holyday Inn. It is within one or two block or ALL your mongering, partying, food, drinking needs. However, it is dangerous at night for gringos.

If you stay in a very nice hotel like the Park In by Radission or Tryp Sabana by Wyndam, they are on the End of the city and much safer, offering nice rooms, facilities and full breakfast, but it is a 20 minute straight shot down Avenida Central (Central Avenue) to Gringo Gulch.

Food, lodging and entertainment won't be a problem, the only issue will be safety and if you want to bring a girl back to your room. I don't do that, I go to places like, New Fantasy ($50) , Hotel Little Havana ($40 before 1 pm) and Pirate Club ($52) and do the girls there! Even if your hotel allows girls many want to charge an additional Guest Fee of $75 dollars.

The Famous Hotel Del Rey is a place to pick up girls, but you can't really have sex with them there unless you have a room. If you do have a room, HDR charges and additional $10 to bring them up.

All in all If you want to have a great room, be in the middle of everything within one or two block, reserve a from at Holiday Inn. Aurola downtown, or sleep in a block away. Both are modern and secure!

P. S. Always use taxi's with the Yellow Triangle and always use a working meter! Otherwise they will take advantage of you!

P. S. S. You should never pay more than $50 for sex and never buy a woman off the street. I promise you, $50 will be all you need to pay if not lower, and there will be some woman you will be attracted to that will accept it for 1 hour!

You will not need much money for food and if you take one of the many excursions, they always include either breakfast / lunch or lunch! So 15 daily for food! Again, many Tica's will ask for $100 dollars but you tell them no! $40 dollars! And they will take it! And do not tip! Never tip! (propina) never.

Christmas and New Years:

Many people post. There is no one there for Christmas and New Years. That is a big lie! I always go to Costa Rica for this exclusively.

I just got back from my 5th time for Christmas and New years, and there as Just as many there then as any time! San Jose is like New York City and there are always people buzzing around! However, this year, the Costa Rican soccer team won some championship and everything was closed! Imagine that!

There are more women because they are trying to get that last minute money to buy presents! How do I know, I talked to many of the freelancers! This is what they tell me! Plus the weather is very nice at this time! People still work, businesses hotels, HDR and everything is open! So don't let people lie to you!

Cheers BradSince you are a group of 4-5 friends,

1. Rent a car at the airport. Check all the travel sites for the best prices. Get full insurance for the car even if your credit card covers it. Buy ins when you pick up the car, not when booking.

Having a car or van will help you see many sightseeing places, take cars with you and have fun. Apart from mongering there is plenty to see and enjoy in Costa Rica.

2. Check this forum and there are many suggestions for girl friendly hotels. Nothing beats taking a girl to your room rather than go to a ST hotel.

3. Del Ray hotel or specifically BM bar downstairs is the monger central. Here you find girls in all sizes, shapes, country of origin. Negotiate directly with the girl or girls. Girls go for $50-$100. Some girls stay all night.

4. If you are in a group walking to any areas is safe. Otherwise taxis are cheap and plenty. Negotiate with driver or ask him to turn the meter on before getting in.

5. Plenty of good restaurants in San Jose.

I have not been to CR yet but have researched through the forums in preparation for my solo first trip this late spring. If I was going in a group I would not rent a car. Why risk it when and or if you take an excursion you can just all split the bill and not have to risk anything happening to the car or your credit. Unless you are traveling a ton in CR I would not rent a car. Just from reading through the forums one would see that at La Amistad the owner is now providing a shuttle service to and from certain areas such as Jacob. Speaking of Hotel La Amistad, thus far all fingers point for staying at this location. The all inclusive includes booze and food and there is never a guest fee according to their website. Also, there is a CRT discount available that is pretty sweet. 15% 25% I believe, the longer you stay the more of a discount you get. I have yet to read a bad review on Amistad I'm comparison to the other hotels discussed. I can understand the gentleman below only taking girls to other rooms but wouldn't you want the option to also bring a chica home without a $10, $35, plus fee added on.

Also, if I was going with my boys I would consider the Sportsman lodge for my stay. The supposed frat house yet a tiny bit more dignified attitude that I read about would probably be a fun environment to shoot the shit with your friends while scoping a chica or ten. I read the rooms are hit and miss though and you do not want one by the bar due to excessive noise and busy bodies watching you and your chica go into your room from the bar. There is a CRT discount on this place as well. Not sure if we can mention CRT but the discounts are listed on their webpage so I would go read there as we'll.

Again, this is just my opinion based on what I have was on here in preparation for my own trip. Have fun post pics and share more info!

Thanks again to everyone for the great stories and info.

Hi guys,

First time posting here and preparing for a trip in a couple three weeks. I was wondering what the rules are regarding banking rules? Can you open an account for a few days or open a safe deposit box?

Thanks in advance,

PS, I did do a search with no luck.

the rules are regarding banking rules? Can you open an account for a few days or open a safe deposit box?Easy Answer NO.

They have something called SUGEF which is relative to SEC and banking oversight. They are fastidious and pain in th b**t for the "you must know your client" part of the deal.

You will need paperwork and references and it will take time to open an account.

Deposit box might be different. As a resident I did not have any problems opening one, but had to show cedula. So for foreigner might be ok with passport. Would suggest you limit your search to San Jose banks, as the banks in the smaller centers really do not have anything available.

Enjoy.

Your best bet is to try the private banks and not the national ones. BAC or Scotia is where I would start, there are some others as well.

Hi guys,

So I am in a pretty bad predicament. I was suppose to go to Panama city for 5 days, but because of semana santa, I'm stuck in San Jose until Saturday and my trip to Panama is cut down to 2. 5 days. I didn't know that everything was closed (all buses) for Thursday and Friday for semana santa. My transit visa was only good for 12 hours, which means it will be a couple of days expired when I try to exit for Panama. I should have looked more closely at the visa, because my previous trip here before also said 12 on it, but it had "dia" circled versus this one says 12h. What kind of issues and problems and fines will I be looking at? What are my solutions? Also, the ticabus leaves here at 12:00pm on Saturday and my return ticket leaves Panama city at 11:00pm, which means I will on all technicality be out of the country for more than 72 hours if I get to the border by 6:00pm Saturday and get back to the border by Wednesday morning at around 10:00am. I'm on assignment in Honduras for a few months and have to get back by April 30th.

Regardless, anyone know if Hotel Little Havanna or New Fantasy or any of the other massage parlors will be open for Friday? I might as well make the most of my time here.

Thanks for any and all help.

ThomKatt. I don't think I would worry too much about leaving the country. They are not going to make you stay. I have never heard of a 12 hour visa. There is no rule saying you have to be out of the country for 72 hours. You can come back the same day if you like. The 72 hour rule is only for declaration of customs and only applies if you are going to Panama and bring goods back into the country. Hotel Little Havana, doesn't exist anymore. It was split into and 2 separate businesses were created, the Zona II and Scores. All will be open but slow. Everyone is at the beach in Jaco. This is where all of my clients and working ladies are this week. Pm me if I can assist you further.

O. L. D. One Lucky Dogg.Hey brother,

Thanks for your reply and information. I think the 72 hour visa applies for renewals. I don't think it really applies to me since I'm just in transit to Panama and back to honduras. I'm a little worried, but I think I can explain that everything was shut down so it wasn't possible to get out of the country within the 12 hour time period. I'm sad that HLH doesn't exist. It was a great place. I'm probably going to just check out a few places early Saturday morning before my bus leaves at noon.

Thanks again

The 72 hour rule only applies to bringing purchased products back into the country. Not a bad deal that the HLH split. Now you have 2 well established venues instead of one. Jimmy at the Zona II and Jeff at Scores, (formally HLH) both do a wonderful job. You will still find action on Saturday and the buses will be running as normal. Tell them the Bigg Dogg sent you if you see Jimmy and Jeff.

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn in San Jose. It was only two blocks from the Hotel Del Rey, the rooms were big and modern with a clean King Bed. The price was about $85.00 USD so it is not the cheapest place but it made my stay great. The food in the hotel was good as well. FYI. The holiday Inn is behind the Del Rey on the other side of the park.

After many trips to DR I will travel for first time to Costa Rica next August, so I have started to read the threads about this country.

In these threads I find a lot of information about prices for ST with the girls, but I do not find almost anything about the cost of TLN with them.

Is it something unusual to spend the all night with a girl. This is something very usual in DR and really I like it.

Can anyone give me this information. I will split my holidays between San Jose and Jaco.

Hello fellow mongers,

I was wondering if anyone can tell me if my unlocked Iphone 5 will work in CR with a local sim card that I can buy there. The Iphone 5 requires a nano-sim which is different than the Iphone 4 or 4's. So, if anyone can answer this, I would greatly appreciate it.

Otherwise, I may have to buy an inexpensive cell phone but I really don't want to. I always get a kick out of using those cheap phones but I tell the chicas it is an iphone 7. LOL.

In the DR they cut a regular size SIM to the smaller size. I have used a knife to cut regular size SIM's to the smaller size which works good if you have a nano SIM to use as a pattern.

Hello guys,

I will be heading to CR for my first trip in mid June and was hoping you guys could help me decide on a dilemma I am currently having. I will be in CR for five nights. I am planning in spending all of those in San Jose as of now. From your experiences. Is it worth it to make the extra effort (not that much) to stay in Jaco? I figure if I did go to Jaco it would probably be on a Thursday / Thursday night and would try to stay at Cocal. I was thinking of getting into Jaco by ten am and then trying to go to Manuel Antonio for a day trip then back to Cocal. Any ideas / suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks for the wealth of information you all have already provided.

Also, at hotel Amistad. Are you allowed to bring back two girls at one time? I want to think you are not which is a bit of a fantasy bummer LOL.

Also, at hotel Amistad. Are you allowed to bring back two girls at one time? I want to think you are not which is a bit of a fantasy bummer LOL.I just got back from San Jose and Costa Rica. There is no comparison between Jaco and San Jose. The quantity of the women is the same at both the Del Rey and at the Cocal; however, the level of quality is way better overall at Jaco. Just read the forums, and most will agree. San Jose does not have a lot to do and is not that nice. Jaco is only a mere hour and a half away, and the city is much nicer although smaller. The attitude of the women is the same in both venues so one cannot say this is a factor. All of the expats Of the few expats I met there that go there a lot, they also preferred Jaco overall. So, I would say to go to Jaco on Thursday and Friday, Saturday can be light. We went 5 nights and stayed 2 in San Jose and 3 in Jaco. If it were up to me, I would have stayed 4 nights in Jaco and 1 night in San Jose. I cannot answer your other question regarding La Amistad but is definitely monger friendly.

What is the current charge from the airport to Del Ray Taxi?

Is there a cheaper option?

I only have a small bag and I can take a bus to wherever and then take a taxi.

Greetings,

Anybody know how late zona 2 is open? How about Sportsmen's? More precisely Sportsmen's Kitchen.

Got a late arriving flight. Would like to start partying immediately instead of watching tv in the hotel room and waiting till tomorrow.

Thanks. The Sportsmen kitchen closes at 10. Zona II does it have a kitchen and closes around 9. There are plenty of eating establishments in the gulch area open 24 hours a dayear old L. The. One Lucky Dogg.

Will the bus accept dollar or Do I have to pay 500 colones?Sammon. Good questions. Sorry I should have explained it better. When you exit airport, go back upstairs to the departure area, pay your exit tax in advance ($29) Then head over to BAC San Jose and exchange some money, (551 to the $1) after that, walk back out of the building and turn left and go to the street. Turn Right and you will see the bus stop. When you see the Red and white bus that say's Alajuela on it, ask the driver if he is going to San Jose. If he is and not Alajuela, hop on, give the bus driver colones and take off.

Hi,

13th trip to Costa Rica next week. I haven't stayed at the Del Rey in many years. I think I would like the convenience at being at ground zero again instead of having to walk over there daily to check out the talent. Anyone can give me some input on the current condition of the rooms? I will probably just get a Standard room. Also, any advice on what part of the hotel has the quietest rooms?

Thanks,

On a future trip, I would like to go to Drake Bay so I could get in some scuba diving at Cano Island. I already know that there won't be any girl action down there as I'll get that in SJ. Question for any of you who have done it. Better to fly or drive to Drake Bay from SJ? I know that driving takes longer but if it's that much cheaper, I am willing to try it.

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping the experts on this forum can offer me some advice. I have been to Costa Rica several times, but have only done a small bit of mongering there. I have another trip this summer and I'm looking forward to checking out the scene at DR, Zona II, etc.

My question is this: I'd love a nice girl for my first night in town, a Saturday. It seems going out to DR or Zona II might be hit or miss--thus I'm thinking of lining up an escort. I contacted one agency that sent me a link to pics. The girls look nice and they claim GFE, which is impt. To me. They want $125 for two hours. So--for you more experienced CR mongers--is an escort a good idea? Or should I simply head to Zona II, etc when I get in? Basically I want two hours of good fun with a nice, hot GFE girl.

Thanks much.

Hi, I am planning on going to Costa Rica to get some dental work done. How would I go about checking the credentials of a dentist there? Is there something like the Better Business Bureau I could check with? I know this is off topic, but I was hoping someone would know. If this post is too far off topic, please delete.

Thanks.

Thanks.Horatio, probably is a little off topic but not by much. Let me explain. #1, no such thing as a better business bureau down here so you will have to rely on Google. Best thing since the BBB. #2 Many guys such as yourself do come down here to Monger and get dental work done at the same time. With the amount of money you will save (50-75%) you can have one hell of a time with the chicas and have a fresh smile to boot. Pm Me and I will give you some info on clinics. Keep smiling.

CKI would not do the escort deal although $125 for two hours is reasonable. That's close to talking a Del Ray gal to $60 for an hour. However, I got a really good deal at Veronica's, two girls for one hour for 35 k colones which equates to approx $63 at that time. I took advantage of this offer twice both with a girl I have known for some time and then some other young hotties. Lots of kissing if that's what GFE means to you. Another good deal was at Scores which was $40 for an hour if you do it before 1:00 pm. Lots of kissing here too and the babe was very attentive. And extremely good looking with a very solid body. Maritza was her name. Usually an hour is $55. I did one with another fine girl who goes by the name of Brandy. Also very pretty and a solid body. Both girls in their twenties.

However, in my humble opinion, the number one girl with truly exceptional GFE is a girl named Naomi at Zona II. She will be turning 20 tomorrow. This girl absolutely kicked my ass. Very, very beautiful. 36 c naturales. Looking back, I'm kinda sorry I talked her down to $100 for two hours. What a cheapskate I am cheating the girl out of $10. As soon as we got into the room she was all over me with passionate kisses. Her performance was very good. Every girl I was with on this last trip allowed CIM. However Naomi was so good, and so good looking, I took her home with me that night. I offered $150 but ended up giving her $200 she was that good. And made an appointment with her for another all nighter the next night. Unfortunately, somebody topped my offer and she cancelled on me. I spoke with the bartender at Zona II and she told me another client took her to the beach for a week. You know she's making some money on that trip. I know she's worth it. If you really want truly exceptional GFE, this is the girl. She especially likes cuddling when we're sleeping. You can consider yourself lucky if you session with this girl.

She also has a sister working there, Nicole, but skinny and not as pretty, but still a good provider.

This information is recent. I just got back today after a week there.

Hope this helps.

Hey fellows,

I'm in the process of planning a first time trip to San Jose in October. I've been trying to get some updated info as what to expect. What are typical negotiated prices to expect? Are there any places that come highly recommended to meet providers? Any hotels that come highly recommended? Is Costa Rica a better choice over Sosua in the DR? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

On Calle 6 in San Jose or as much as $500 a night for a private escort. Depends again on you. Most of the women at the Sportsmen and the Rey start at $100 but will settle for $80. New Fantasy, Scores and Zona II will run you $45-$55 for a half hour session. If you are staying in Jaco, the ladies are a little more but not much. Also, there are more 8. 5 - 9. 5 in Jaco than San Jose. However, there are no M. P. 's in Jaco but you are at the beach, so who needs them.

Chica Friendly hotels in San Jose gulch area in Alphabetical order. Amistad, Del Rey, Mona Lisa, Morazon, Scores, Sportsmen and Zona II Cost will run you between $49.95 - $325 a night plus tax, depending on your room.

Jaco. All are on the strip or close to the beach. Cocal, Copa Cabana, , Mai Mar, Monaco Jaco Luxury Condos. Pasada Jaco, Poseidon and the Vista Mar condos. This will run you for $59 - $650 per night + tax.

Can't answer the question on Sosua, never been there.

Hope this helps.

Planning first mongering tour of San Jose and I need some advice. Coming Sept 19 - 22.

Would I be better off coming Thursday and leaving Sunday or can I still find some action on Sundays at the bars / clubs?

Also, planning to stay at La Amistad. How far is that from places like Del Rey, Zona II, Sportsmans Lounge. Walkable or advised able by cab?

Appreciate the assistance.

La Amistad to Del Rey is about 8 blocks. La Amistad to Zona II is about 8 blocks also. All walkable. Area around Del Rey is gnarly at night, area around Zona II so-so, area around Sportsman's and La Amistad much safer, kinda dead. Zona II is closed on Sundays. The other venues mentioned are open.

Assman12 over and out.I would fly out on a Sunday. Everything is much slower that day than any other. Yes, there will be some girls around, but far less. At least in the MPs. For example, I went to New Fantasy on a Sunday and only 1 girl was working. Normally around 8-12. Sunday is family day for Costa Ricans. The girls will be home with their kids and parents. Amistad is no more than a 5 minute walk t Del Rey. No cabs needed in the Gulch area. Very safe to walk around in. Just avoid eye contact with the trannies (and try to walk on the opposite side of the street) late at night and you'll be fine.

Assman12 over and out.I would stick with the dates you have set. On Sundays the really on hot spot in San Jose is the Rey and it doesn't start until about 5 pm The ladies have to go to church first and then have Sunday dinner with the family. Key Largo at 10 pm Sunday the 21st will be a big Sports Day (NFL) at the Sportsmen (my favorite place to meet my buds and watch a game) and there should be a few ladies there. All the places you mentioned are a short 5 minute walk from L. A. Have a great time on your trip.

Great trip. Special thanks to O. L. the. For taking care of me. Started in San Jose and found some real talent. Loved Jaco and will return in the near future for a long weekend.

Arrived and Sid picked me up and offered a beer on the way to my room at Scores. Prior to arriving had a hard time contacting Scores and O. L. the. Stopped by and assisted with my hotel booking. Scores is a great value. The split of Little Havana into Scores and Zona II is a bummer. Not nearly as good as it used to be even though the two venues are really well remodeled. Having one location allowed more girls to be in one place vice having to go between.

Nothing new with San Jose and enjoyed linking up with some familiar faces. Moved down to Jaco around day 4 and loved my time there. A new favorite. Didn't realized the quality and quantity of providers plus a beach. Again, shout out to O. L. the. For a relatively inexpensive and relaxing ride down and back. Can't wait to get back in early September!

Someone can point out her name? She is the girl on the right with red hair.I know her as Brandy. Definitely a very nice person. If I remember correctly, she speaks very good English. Gives an amazing deep throat bbj. Other than the BJ, two things I remember most about her: 1. She is trained as a CSI investigator and just waiting for the employment spot to open up. 2. She was glad I paid the upcharge for the bbj since she does not like the taste of latex. It was a very good session.

I found no problems with the rooms at Scores. I've only heard one complaint. It might get noisy if the other guests are inconsiderate. However, I stayed at Sleep Inn on my last visit in June. The chica fee is high at $25,but the accommodations were great. The rooms at Scores are new, comfortable, and clean.

I also sessioned with another girl at Scores, Maritza. She too was a good performer, very pretty, excellent GFE and the room they gave us was considerably comfortable. Both rooms had air conditioning something I didn't find at other MP.

Hi fellas / fellow ISGers,

I've been reading a ton of posts and thank you everyone for your insight and advice, it's really helpful.

This will be my second trip to SJ but my first since 2006 so it's been awhile. Really looking forward to the action and hopefully having a drink with one of you when I get there in mid December, that's the plan.

I've been watching Cuba Dave's videos on which hotel to stay in as well as the posts in this forum. For newbies. To which I am one although I have been to Sosua a couple of times as well. If you're thinking of staying in the Del Rey, I called this morning and they charge $65 for a standard room which includes the 13% room tax or whatever they call it. If you want to bring a chica add $11 for each girl at a maximum of two. For you veterans, maybe you can bring more chicas but that's what the reservation lady told me. More than two might be too much to handle anyways, it would be for me!

I like Cuba Dave's suggestion of staying at Scores sports bar because at $45-50, it's a great price and apparently it's also close to the Del Rey where most of the action still seems to be (I didn't stay there the first time in SJ). I'm leaning towards the Del Rey because I'll only be in SJ 3-4 nights. I have a couple of questions I hope one of the vets can help me with. What is the website address or contact number to call Scores? I've looked online and can't find it. Do you agree with Cuba Dave about staying at Scores or is the Del Rey the best bet? Also, can you buy Viagra at a pharmacy there and is it any good? If not, where do you suggest one buys it? Thanks.

Bobby

I'm leaning towards the Del Rey because I'll only be in SJ 3-4 nights. I have a couple of questions I hope one of the vets can help me with. What is the website address or contact number to call Scores? I've looked online and can't find it. Do you agree with Cuba Dave about staying at Scores or is the Del Rey the best bet? Also, can you buy Viagra at a pharmacy there and is it any good? If not, where do you suggest one buys it? Thanks.

BobbyI've stayed at HDR 4 times so far in 2014, and have no problem with it. I've been to the other places, and, definitely, Del Rey is Ground Zero for activities, way better than all of the others combined. But, mainly, the girls like it better if you are staying at HDR, as they can go quickly upstairs to do their business and then get back downstairs to continue their rounds. Also, once in a discussion with a chica, if you have to go to another hotel, this can be an obstacle (particularly if it is raining!)- the negotiation is smoother if you are staying upstairs.

BobbyAlso, there's a reliable pharmacy one block away, on the corner. Viagra / Cialis on sale, both generic and genuine, decent prices.

Hi fellas / fellow ISGers,

I've been watching Cuba Dave's videos on which hotel to stay in as well as the posts in this forum. For newbies. To which I am one although I have been to Sosua a couple of times as well. If you're thinking of staying in the Del Rey, I called this morning and they charge $65 for a standard room which includes the 13% room tax or whatever they call it. If you want to bring a chica add $11 for each girl at a maximum of two. For you veterans, maybe you can bring more chicas but that's what the reservation lady told me. More than two might be too much to handle anyways, it would be for me!

BobbyAgree with Warthog, for being relatively new for SJO standards, staying at HDR takes a lot of the guess work out of your stay. Have to question why the need to buy viagra in-country when you can buy it cheaper here and take it with you. I buy Cialis in bulk through Topills and get delivery in three weeks or less. Never had an issue, no Rx needed for see or V. Don't buy it on the street outside the Del Rey; don't buy anything on the street outside the HDR for that matter.

BobbyBobby, after living down here for 8 years, I think I have a pretty good handle on things and know my way around. After all, I am in the tour business and mongers are the majority of my business. Let's see if we can help you. The website for Scores is http://crscores.cr/ They changed their website a while back. Scores is a good choice for many of my clients who come down here. 95% of my guys do not stay at the Del Rey for obvious reasons. It's a great place to visit and a must see but few of my clients stay there. There are a lot of great places in the Gringo Gulch area that are within walking distance of the Rey. All of these places do not have a Chica Fee. They are Scores as you mentioned, Zona II, Mona Lisa hotel and Casino, The Sportsmen Lodge, Amistad and Castillo. These are the places 95% of my clients stay.

Viagra, Cialis and Levetra are everywhere and safe to take. Brand will cost you as much as in the states, however, you can get the generic, same thing, for much much less.

Have fun on your trip.

I have search ISG and can't get a firm idea.Fuddzie, the price in San Jose range from $15 for a half hour on Calle 6 to $300 an hour at Tango India. Del Rey and Sportsmen around $80. Scores, Zona II, Illusions, Edem, 360 and New Fantasy around $50. Jaco, Cocal around $100. If you have not been here in 5 years, I highly recommend that you spend a few days in Jaco. Well worth the money. It's where most of my big guys go.

OLD One Lucky Dogg.Hello Fuddzie! (and One lucky Dogg)

I've been living in Costa Rica as a permanent resident for ten years, and now living in San Jose for the last seven years. I don't recommend staying at HDR unless you are a total party animal, don't care about your hotel room or comforts, don't like decent food, will risk the immediate dangers less than 2 inches out each exit 24/7, or want your pussy readily available to fuck immediately upstairs. They currently still charge a $10 chica fee. HDR is for viewing the most amount of beautiful pussy is a very, very short time. For example, you could be there 5-7 minutes and see stunners during the prime time (9-11 pm) Between that time, the super beautiful girls are being fucked because no one will take a chance to pass her up, and she will go to the first bidder she likes! Remember, some working girls will come to pick you.

If you are very good looking and intimidating to them, they most likely will not come to you because they figure they are not your type.

I recommend staying at Hotel Santo Tomas, or Sportsman's lodge. If you really want peace and tranquility with your pussy, stay at La Amistad. The areas are better, with better facilities and comfort. As one luck dogg stated, there are plenty of choices for fucking pussy on the "north" side of Parque Morazon, and great restaurants, facilities, yoga, museums as well with less risk. If you want "all" the amenities and the newest casino "fiesta casino" in downtown San Jose, stay at Holiday Inn aurola. They do allow guest but for $90! However, as One Lucky Dogg stated, you can P4P from $15 to $300! Also Holiday Inn Aurola has indoor pool, Jacuzzi, several restaurants, travel, departure tax service right there, and is north of Parque Morazon.

I would highly recommend going to a pension or service hotel like HLH for your pussy! Its safer, cheaper and convenient within walking or taxi distance. Try the Pirate club. It's a modern club and the owner is a cool American dude! You can get your pussy there. As the old saying goes "You don't shit where you eat!" LOL.

Practice your Spanish and you can reduce the price because they feel they can't get one over you, if you don't already speak it!

Finally, when negotiating, "don't be nice!" You tell them what you are going to pay and that's it, unless you are at a pension with set prices. There are in it for themselves and you are in it for you. Also. "Don't Tip!

Hello Fuddzie! (and One lucky Dogg) Thanks for giving the gentleman the advise Princzz. Good stuff. Let me add that there now is no such thing as the HLH. It's 2 different entities now. Zona II on the corner and Scores next door. Also Hotel Santo Tomas is not a place to bring back ladies. Not chica friendly. Nice place for family's but not so nice for the mongerer. Chica Fee at the Holiday Inn is something like $50. No mongerer stays there. Quality Inn, $25 chica fee. Some of my higher end clients do stay there and don't mind paying the Fee. Mona Lisa, no chica fee and has a One Lucky Dogg December special of $39.95 per night.

OLD One Lucky Dogg.Very good advice One Lucky Dogg! That's right Scores and Zona II are completed separate!

The price at Holiday Inn Aurola has increased from $80 to $90 for a guest. However, if you know the doorman, you can sneak them up for a tip! He is an American from New York City and now lives here. Also since there is a casino now, you can go up and they may not know that you aren't a couple (for the first time), but if you try to bring a lady up that is different another time, they will catch on. So. That may save you $80!

As One Lucky Dogg stated, you might want to try Tango India in the Uruco area. However, it is very expensive and the women may want $300 for pussy. Shit! You can have on average 6 pieces of pussy that, and if you find a $15 place, hey, you do the math! LOL.

Finally, as One Lucky Dogg stated, and I recommended, Hotel Santo Tomas is not Chica friendly and all of the hotels I recommended really are not, but I suggest this is what you want. You can travel around, enjoy the area, have a great hotel to come to after fucking women in many, many places withing walking distance (3-6) blocks max!

I still say don't shit where you eat. And when its time to relax after fucking the tender, creamy, young pussies, have a great, comfortable room, with all the services and amenities to come to!

Don't forget! Try Pirate Club! I think you will like it! But go around 11 pm!

Would like to know in Costa Rican Spanish how to say; Pussy, ass and cum. Not as in leche, but as in organism.Panocha = pussy.

Picha = dick.

Culo = ass.

Orgasmo = orgasm (can also say "venir" which is often used in a sexual context to mean "to cum" or have an orgasm).

I'm assuming you meant "orgasm" even though you wrote "organism" hahaha! When I first started going to Costa Rica and was still learning Spanish, when the girls would say "panocha", I thought they were saying "pechuga", the latter word often used to refer to a "chicken breast" LOL! Yeah, going to get me some "pechuga" at the Del Rey tonight hahahaha!

Last minute trip to Tamarindo next month to do a few days of body surfing. Looking to stay someplace affordable where I can bring a chica back for no or minimal fee ($25 usd). Any suggestions? I see Best Western is only $72 a night and 10 minutes away. I don't plan on spending a lot of time at the hotel (just play and sleep) so clean and affordable and close to the beach is all I care about.

Costa Rica has 2 main mongering areas. The largest and capitol city of San Jose and the beach city of Jaco Beach. That's just about it. If you like to surf, Jaco and next city south, Hermosa are the best place to catch a wave and find a fine piece of azz. Other than that, you are going to have to work hard for your loving.

Hello,

Sorry for asking too many questions. I did a lot of reading and research and wanted to get the latest info from fellow mongers. This is my first time in CR. Most of my mongering has been in SE Asia. My trip is only 3 days long due to other commitments.

• I rented a car, do I really need one? Should I cancel it?

• I booked a room at Del Rey Hotel for 2 which was $15 more that a single room? Will the hotel still charge me a chica fee?

• How long does it take from the airport to Del Rey Hotel?

• Is clearing customs quick? Only carry-on.

• Is Del Rey a 24-hour girlie operation? (aka I can get girls any time of the day). If no daytime activity is slow, what is the alternative?

• What is the going rate? Still $80 or $100 or. ?

• Can I get a long time girl (not hourly)? If so, what is the going rate?

• What else to do during the day when I'm tired of pussy? (I can't believe I'm saying that – picture worthy places).

Thanks in advance.

I booked a room at Del Rey Hotel for 2 which was $15 more that a single room? Will the hotel still charge me a chica fee?.1) No need for a car.

2) Yes.

3) 1/2 hour.

4) Yes.

5) Yes. The lookers are there between the hrs. 8 pm-midnight. Daytime is limited, go to the MPs.

6) Depends on how many flights are arriving at that time but you will be avoiding the wait for luggage.

7) Yes, $150-200.

8) Tour the city or take a sidetrip to the volcano, ziplining, etc. The tour desk at the King could help you arrange a daytime tour.

I am planning a SJ Halloween party weekend getaway, but old favorites are coming up short. Sportsmans, Del Rey, Zona II, Amistad, Dunn Inn no availability. Scores is closed, and I haven't heard a peep about Mona Lisa for a while. Even after RTFF, people just don't seem to stay at that many different places. Not all SJ hotels, even in the area, are girl friendly. Can you recommend a few that are? I am considering Hemingway Inn, Inca Real (doesn't come across as nice as others), Balmoral. I'd rather be in that area vice half way across town. I would sincerely appreciate your recommendations. OLD published a list back in 2014. Are there any other hotels I should consider?

Thursday, a "fuck you I'm a Tico and I do whatever I want" jerk, which is about 75% of the males, is walking down Ave Centro. Cowardly sneaks up on a Tica chick an does a video of her privates from under and behind with his cell. In broad daylight. On the major pedestrian walk in SJ.

Unlike us, he's too cheap to pay for it.

A normal Tico saw what was happening and he used his cell to video this shit. Got a cop to pay attention to him quickly, and I am still amazed about that. The perv got pinched.

Hit the CR media, social, personal and public etc. All over CR.

Outrageous right?

Not there.

Somebody stabbed this good guy to near death Saturday, two days later in his barrio. Family man. With retaliatory remarks.

If you can grasp this "I'm a tico and do what I want and stay out of my life" fact pattern, you will have saved yourself decades of figuring CR.

I was very comfortable at Hotel Morazan, and it is centrally located, and not too pricey.I hope guys are smart enough to look at the number of posts a guy has under his belt and how long he's been around the subject matter while weighing the credibility of the info.

Usually I do not comment on other guys posts even if they are indicative of a nube talking dumber then dumb about what he thought was cool. Its all fun, so if it was fun for him, super.

But when you see a guy in his first post saying the Morazáand is "very comfortable", you really have to wonder who he is. The place is a shit hole, has always been a shit hole. If your option is sleep in your rent car or there, it's a toss up.

So I suspect whomever this guy in his first post really is, some how he is tied into the shit hole.

Are there any other hotels I should consider?I'll be there as well, jaco Thursday and Friday del rey Saturday and zona 2 Sunday.

Any of you been to Tamarindo. I know already that it is not the best place but this boys trip was booked by the one guy in our group who is more interested in golf. Anyway, after Panama and Jaco I know this will be disappointing but I was hoping that someone could shine a light on any activity at all. We will be staying right downtown. Thanks in advance for any info.

I'm thinking of taking a trip to San Juan. I was curious what it costs for an average girl there for an hour? Do they do overnights?

San Jose girls range from 100-300 per encounter. Just depends on what you are looking for, how long, what quality, and how good of a negotiator you are.

I love mongering in San Jose and other parts of Costa Rica! Headed there soon myself!

I don't give a damn how many quotes you got. If you don't like Morizan, then I respect that. I don't respect the fact that you are questioning my opinion just because it was my first post. Lets go back and challenge your first post, or maybe the first 10 ones. Whatever. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I looked at multiple rooms at various hotels, including HDL, Sportsmans, Don Carlos, and Hotel Dunn. I was perfectly comfortable at the Morizan, and I am confident others would also. I would bet some people would probably call some of your hotels shit holes. I suggest you go back to "Usually I do not comment on other guys posts". IMHO, this is a perfect example of a senior member using his status to promote creditably. AKA, another form of bullying. Well, I am quite sure most intelligent people will see though it, and look at everyone's opinions and ideas, evaluating them for themselves.

Peace!Well, obviously this poster is not a very good negotiator because the idea of paying $300 in San José, Costa Rica is just insane. Completely, utterly insane. I lived there for four months last year and never paid more than $60 and even for an all-nighter $100 is more than sufficient. Keep in mind they don't really want to go home.

Furthermore, the currency in Costa Rica is the colón and all negotiations should take place in colones. Any chica who starts talking about dollars is trouble to begin with.

There is no need to criticize them, put words into their mouth, or accuse them of some false affiliation. I did not say the Morazon was the best hotel in the city. I simply said I was comfortable there. It is in fact a lower price option for some people to consider. My original post was merely a response to someone looking for more options. Maybe Dickhead is right- I probably am not a great negotiator. I just try to never be to cheap when it comes to mongering. I like to have the best possible experience. I really don't care to come across as a cheap bastard.

I've mongered all over the world- I have not ever been one to disagree too much with what a girl wants to make as long as I want her bad enough.

In Costa Rica if Dickhead is paying 60 $- then I am sure he is getting exactly what he paid for. I like the higher quality poon-- I am quite willing to pay between 100 and 150 even up to 200 for multi hours.

He is right 300 is strong -- but I have met a couple in CR that have been worth 300 and even more.

Actually- I met a Colombian in Jaco in March who I have spent several thousand on since. As soon as I got home I sent her back to Medellin and have visited her many times. She is a 10 by anyone's standards and well worth every dollar I continue to spend.

Truth is-- I don't give a shit about the money-- for me its all about living. To each his own I guess!

I have learned a lot from this board over the years. I thought that I contribute my own two cents, for what its worth. I have visited CR seven times prior to 2005. I stopped going to CR in 2005 because the quality was down, and I also had a business to run. I am 62, with six figure home paid for, and son in college. Overall, life is fine. I work hard for my money and place value on dollars earned. So, I decided to pay a quick four day visit to CR when my wife decided to spend some time with her sister who is ill. I stayed at the Del Rey for the entire four days. The quality is definitely down, but there are still diamonds in the rough. I was disappointed in the mercenary attitude of some of the ladies. All services were negotiated up front and written and shown on my phone calculator. There were some that did not come off the $100. I simply passed by. I was able to get the be team with a pleasant and grateful attitude for $60 - $70. There were three chicas, that despite negotiations, tried to upsell me in the room. They gamble that because I had paid $11 for Del Rey guest fee, I will accept bullshit. They each tried to charge extra for kiss, BBBJ, even though all of these were negotiated upfront. I simply opened my room door and told each of them to leave. The mood had been killed by then. I can afford to pay $100 for a chica, but I refuse to do so, because once the bar is set, it keeps rising. Many of our follow brothers will be put out of the market. As a matter of fact, because of the decrease in quality and haggling of the chicas, the number of Americans at the Del Rey is sharply down. There are more ticos now. This was never the case a few years ago. For the person who travels once or twice a year for vacation, a $100 may seem to be nothing, but for a regular traveler, it becomes unaffordable and out of the reach for most. I will give a breakdown of my expense to put things in a true perspective:

Airfare: $800 (out of Newark, business class, because of arthritic knees. Direct flight).

Parking at Newark: $135.

Hotel Del Rey: $319.

Transportation to / from airport: $60.

Airport taxes: $25.

Meals / Drinks for 4 days: $400.

Taxis / Tips: $100.

We are nearly at $2 k, if you add $100/ chica for ten chicas over four days, you are looking at nearly $300/ chicas overall. At this rate, this is unsustainable for a regular traveler. There will be less of our buddies in CR, and the quality will continue to go down, because there are less travelers and therefore less business for the chicas. Some will say, it is my money and I can spend it however I want, but you have to look at the overall big picture. At $300/ chica, I can get a beautiful Latina escort from Colombia in Philly or DC, spend an hour with her, and be back at work the same day. The lure of CR will begin to wean. We need to keep a handle on cost for the good of the chicas and for all of us. Right now, I am brushing up on my Spanish; my next trip will probably be to Medellin. I have visited this city at least four times, but to truly enjoy it, you will need a working knowledge of Spanish. CR is close to the US, but prices and service are getting out of hand. My own two cents. Take it for what it is worth!

The airport tax is now included on MOST airline ticket prices.

I stopped going to CR in 2005 because the quality was down, and I also had a business to run. I am 62, with six figure home...***** mongering is not for everyone. As a matter of fact I am really glad its not. If you go on the local board in my humble little city in the USA I wouldn't want most of those guys coming down to Costa Rica. I like the fact that its a little "out of reach" for most people. I don't give a shit if the average guy can afford a trip from the US to CR and spend 4-5 days with these fine chicas.

If you are in Costa Rica paying 60 bucks for a chicha- I promise you are getting exactly what you are paying for. If you like to pay more-- you will certainly get higher quality and better girls. I go to Jaco about once every 6-7 weeks. I am telling you for a fact that 60 $ WILL NOT buy a 8-9-or10. You can get a 5 or a 6 for 60-80 $.

If you are an older guy who is perfectly happy with a 5 or 6 level chica then more power to you.

I am a bit younger- I like the 21-25 year old hard body Colombians. These girls are 100 to 150 on average. If you have good Spanish speaking skills your negotiations will go much smoother. As this poster stated- If you want top quality pussy and don't want to pay a lot of money then Medellin is the place to go. I have a novia in Medellin and get there as often as I can. The down side to Medellin for me is the fact that it is still a very dangerous city and I like the relaxed and laid back atmosphere of the beach at Jaco. Medellin is more of frenetic and crazy place. An American tourist was murdered right in Poblado within the last few weeks. You will almost never hear these kinds of stories in CR.

To each his own-- but I find the last 2 posters a little misleading to new guys coming to CR. If you are coming and looking for 60 $ girls its not going to be a fun or easy trip. If you have a pocket full of cash and don't mind spending 100's and 150's then you will have the time of your life. The sky is the limit!

Pura Vida!

My dear brother: More $$ does not equal better service. I prefer the 5 or 6 with a great personality and attitude, than an 8 or 9 with a bad attitude. There are many stories of guys that have paid $100, $200, and even $300, and have had bad stories to tell. They complain that the chicas refuse to kiss them or give them a BBBJ. Money, for me, has value; therefore, I spend it wisely.

Guys, making a little trip down to CR after several years away. Just a few questions:

1. I'm trying to get some insight on some other hotels besides the obvious selections. Does anyone know what the guest fee is at Balmoral in San Jose? Anyone ever stay there?

2. Does Hotel Santo Tomas ever let guests in for a fee? Or is just no guests ever?

3. Is Pirate Club still open and still good? I haven't heard of anything about it lately. Is is open in the early afternoon around 12:30 pm? Every day? I used to love this place.

4. Guys a ton of nice MP's in San Jose, but (other then zona2), what MP generally has the highest quality and selection? I have limited time, to explore all the options.

5. Did Scores close?

6. Guys, is strip club Kamur any good anymore? Still open?

7. I think there is one strip club in Jaco? What is the name / location? Price / quality of talent? Anyone recommend?

8. Any working talent in Playa Hermosa near Jaco, or in Montezuma?

I'll make report upon return. Thanks.

Let me offer this. Someone else ALWAYS has access to the safe. Why would anyone every use in-room safes in a third-world country? Why? I guess as a 23yo (sorry to read about you being cut from an NFL team, whatever that is), you don't have enough real-world experience to know the pros and cons of hotel room safes.

For example, I am sure that the Shangri-La in Global City, Manila would have extremely good safes and SOPs to protect guests' valuables. But the safes in many down-market hotels in the good ol' USA might be rather insecure! Get the idea? BTW, some of the safes in cheaper hotels can easily be opened by any intruder.

Let me offer this. Someone else ALWAYS has access to the safe. Why would anyone every use in-room safes in a third-world country?Using that same logic, why would anyone ever put their money into a bank? Why did people give their money to Bernie Madoff? Why did people have their retirement in an Enron account? Why would you ever lock your car? Big deal. Someone can just break the glass to get into it. Or if they have locksmith tools... Stop fearmongering and being afraid of your own shadow. I have been to over 100 countries and used in room safes in most of them. Never a problem. Half the time i leave my stuff right in the open next to the TV anyway. Guys are running around sticking their bare dicks into strangers's mouths and into their holy of holies, yet usage of a hotel safe is where they draw the line. Give me a fucking break. Any safe can be broken into, not just the ones in third world knock-off hotels. The only guarantees in life are death and taxes.

And I gave you an unemotional answer. Maybe your response is just an attempt to camouflage the fact that your claims, like most of your posts, are not based in the real world.

Can you answer why, multiple times, you claim to have 25 years mongering experience in Tijuana, and another time you claim to be 23 years of age (and just dropped from an NFL team)? Do you even know the real world?!

Not so fast grasshopper. I don't know anyone who has ever been fucked on the safe, but I know plenty of people who have gotten fucked on a debit card. Not to mention, last time I was in Rio I wasted half a day running back and forth from the ATM to call Charles Schwab on the phone because they suspected fraud on my card after I popped it into the first ATM at the airport in Rio. Same freaking thing happened to me in Colombia. Luckily I have 3 banks and was able to use one of my other cards with success. Cash is king.

Yeah, had my ATM card cloned as well a few months ago, and it absolutely had to have occurred at the only bank I use, in Ipanema. I never use this card for point of sales, only ATM. This is a Bradesco branch with a large lobby, and normally there is a security guard in the lobby, so I thought it was one of the safer places. I think my cloning happened the only time I went after business hours and the guard was not there. Most of the machines were out of large bills so I tried several machines in the lobby, they have about 8. Must have happened then, though I did not notice any obvious modifications to the machines. They must have got my pin as well as they made ATM withdrawals with the clone in Sao Paulo and Florida. Again, I always cover my hand when entering pin, so not sure how they get it, unless the capture device can also record the pin?

You need it ten days before you fly. The AIRLINE was not going to let me fly without the certificate. Worked out I squeaked in without the certificate based on a time provision, or something. Best get the shot and the certificate ten days before you fly and don't mess around. I will be in Costa Rica first time from Dec. 26 -Jan. 9. I am hoping some kind hearted guiders can help me with occasional tips. I will be more than happy in return to document the highlights as well as the lowlights.

I booked the Belmoral hotel. It seemed to be in the heart of the action. I assumed this would mean it would be girl friendly.

Did I make an ass out of myself. Does anyone know if I will be rejected at the door with my meat socket on hand? Thanks bro's.

Now they've dolled up the place and made it more family friendly. I agree on the Morazan, it's a dump, but the girls like the convenience of a "hit it and git it" so they can walk back for seconds and thirds. A girl's got to earn a living!

I stayed at the Balmoral during this past Halloween and experienced no problems at all (there was a small "entry fee" I would never stay at the Morozan, however I'd have no problem taking a Tica back there for an hour or two.

Over the past 3 years I have been working off of the maps that are several years old. They seem to be rather outdated. Some of the places do not exist anymore. I found some new places that are not on the map. One of the things that would be interested in is any of the local massage parlors (or whatever you call them here). Occasionally I find one or two gems in these little places. Does anybody have any updated info or maps. As I do every trip here I will post what I find.

Anyone can help me on this?I know others have answered this, but I can say I was actually denied the flight from Bogota to San Jose.

I already had tickets to go to about 5 or 6 countries just hopping around. When I checked in to the airport in Bogota they asked my for a copy of my Yellow Fever shot. I said I might have had it before. But, they said I can't go. They said they might know of a clinic or something that would give me the vaccine and falsely the date to at least 10 days ago. But, I just did not have time. I was really disappointed. So. Since I had more days to travel from not being able to go to Costs Rica I took the next flight to Medellin again. So, I was not too upset.

What are best place to go beside Del Rey on Sunday during the day.If you want to watch football or sports programs the Sportsman's Lodge is a good place to hangout. There are generally 10 to 20 girls there, the food is good, and the crowd is a friendlier group of mongers than you will encounter at the Del Rey. Besides the Del Rey and Sportsman's there are several MPs open, most notable are Zona II, New Fantasy and Monica's.

I just arrived and I'm in town for a few weeks, and am looking for what I've found throughout my travel in South America to be a unicorn: a good massage. Most massage joints are basically brothels, and while as a fellow monger I'll visit several on this trip, I'd like to know if any of you who know this town could recommend me a decent massage place, with or without extras. Any suggestions?

Just got into SJO 2 days ago, and looking for a good massage, with or without extras. I've visited a few of the pensions around el centro, but am wondering if you guys could point me towards an actual massage. First time in SJO, and staying near Escazu.

Would those two locations be walk-in friendly or appointment only?

But, I am pretty sure they take walk-ins. You can get a legitimate or illegitimate massage there, or at least you could when I was there in Jan. '15.

Sportsmans was 10 girls a night and the girls were a bit barrio. Definitely a softer vibe and more relaxed place but the selection and quality was a joke. There is also a clique atmosphere there.

Del Ray was hopping every night and the fellow mongers were friendly and talkative. Selection was 1 - 10, any color, shape or style you were looking for.

Zona II is a shit hole. If you want to bang a chick in a disgusting concrete prison cell on a dirty mattress on a floor in a bar, it's the place to go. The bonus is you get to listen to the owner brag to you the entire time your there about how great he is despite the dirty, hairy and extremely sweaty appearance that he keeps. One out of the ten was doable and she was a fast ride spinner but you can't walk away feeling like you slayed her, it's just too dirty and disgusting a place.

The lineup varies daily with occasional gems to be found. The numbers never approach the quantity at the Del Rey. It is a hotel, sports bar first with some women that hang out. The Del Rey is more a pickup bar. The quality varies hourly. There is always something to look at there.

If you do not like Zona II then you will not like the rest of the MPs. It is actually one of the cleanest with sheets changed after each customer. It does have beds, not mattresses on the floor. It has showers in the rooms with hot water. It has a higher percentage of do-able women than the Del Rey when you exclude all of the old, fat worn out ones that are constantly at the Del Rey. In my opinion it is over priced for an MP at $65 for an hour for basic service. There are better deals to be had at 360 and Monica's with similar amenities. New Fantasy is overpriced and the showers are down the hall from the rooms. It goes down hill from these. Some are so dirty a cockroach wouldn't session in them.

Is Zona II fomerly Hotel Little Havana?

It's been a while since I've been to CR and I liked HLH.

Will be staying at Dunn Inn. I know there aren't girls there but it was girl friendly when I stayed there before.

They actually held the girl's ID at the desk while we played. They called me in the room when she left. They wanted to make sure she didn't cause problems before they gave her ID back to her.

Any suggestions for eating near there? Food at the bar at Dunn used to be good too.

Thanks,

GB41Zona II was formerly HLH. The food at the Dunn Inn is still good. A great place for lunch is Soda Peru (Delicas de Peru) about 50 yards up the hill from Zona II on the right. It is only open Mon. Through Sat. For lunch.

I called Dunn Inn to inquire about the guest policy. They no longer allow female guests in the hotel. They had problems and no longer allow it.

So I cancelled my reservation at Dunn and book at Sportsman. I assume they don't mind if you bring girls in from the outside. I know there are plenty inside at the bar too.

My GF, who is very attractive, and I are thinking about coming to San Jose to check out the chicas for some threesome activity. We've enjoyed ladies in Angeles City, Pattaya, Phuket, Cambodia, Panama, Colombia, etc. But never in Costa Rica.

From what I've read, the two places for chicas is the Del Rey and Sportsman's. We like to stay in very nice hotels so could anyone suggest a great hotel that is near them and guest friendly?

Also, should we consider skipping SJ and just head to Jaco Beach?

Thanks much for any suggestions.

Nice boutique hotel in a renovated former coffee baron's mansion about a 1 minute walk down a short side street to the Sportsman's Lodge. Google it. Ask about Amistad's "all inclusive" rate. Unlimited meals and bar but 1/2 price on top shelf liquor. Their business model works in that there are NO chicas wandering around the hotel unless with a guest. Totally chill place and TOTALLY guest friendly. Totally! All guests must leave their ID at front desk. You could safely walk from Sportmans with your chica (s) saving the taxi fare. At night I recommend a taxi from Del Rey, should cost only $2-3 for the ride. I liked Amistad's memory foam mattresses, slept like a rock. The Sportman could work but it has a bit more of a frat house vibe IMHO. I stayed at Amistad over a year ago (see trip report) as part of a 4 guy group and we all loved it. Best part is their guests get a free taxi ride back to the airport as part of the price. They even offer free round trip ground transport if you check out to see other parts of the country provided you check back in with them after the trip. We did just that on a 3 day side trip to Jaco, normally about $100 one way. So we saved $200 in transpo costs. If you decide to go to Jaco, just do Hotel Cocal. It's more expensive but on weekend nights (Thur-sat) especially there could easily be over a 100 chicas hanging out there looking for action. Most of them bus in from SJO looking for some extra cash and many are in the semi-pro category. Cocal is right on the beach too. Naturally, it's guest friendly.

Your ad would not be complete however without adding that an extremely loud, window-shaking train goes right by the hotel at all hours of the night, rudely waking you 2-3 times during the middle of the night. I would also add that the rooms are quite tired and old. Still, I will admit that the rooms were clean and livable. For someone on a budget, this hotel might make sense. Having tried it myself, I would quite happy to pay a little more for something a little nicer (e. G. Hotel Taormina or Hotel Del Rey to be closer to the action, convenience). Just me.

As for Sportsman's, I've visited on Friday and Saturday nights, but only found a fraction of the quantity of the girls that one finds at HDR. On top of that, none of the talent I saw at Sportsmen's ever interested me.

Good points. As you know the train doesn't run late at night but in the early morning it can be a big pain. The grade crossing flagman they hire to keep the noise level down helps out a bit, assuming they still do that. One can try for a room in the back and that dampens the noise. Disposable ear plugs helped me a lot too. My biggest problem with Del Rey is that bullshit $12 joiner fee they charge their guests to bring their pigs up to their room EVERY single time. I just totally disagree with that. I do agree that Del Rey has the best box both in terms of overall quality and quantity. I suggested Sportsman simply out of convenience to the previous posters. Sometimes good talent can be found there and it's easy for them to swing by there and check it out.

I'm thinking that staying at the Del Rey might be too overwhelming with a lot of men there and that may make my GF uncomfortable or am I wrong on this?

There really aren't any "top class" hotels in San José proper. You might be happy with the hotel behind the Del Rey. Check the hotel thread but I think it is called the Sleep Inn. They do charge a chica fee but they will let them in. I think it might be $20 a chica. But that info should be in the hotel thread. That hotel has a casino as well but will not be a fucking zoo like the Del Rey. If you want a plusher hotel, you would need to look to the outlying areas.

Is the Taormina as good as it gets?Toarmina does not charge a chica fee. Late in the evening, you might even see 4-5 working chicas visiting the hotel bar if plenty of guys are hanging out down there.

Everything there is very new and impressive looking. If I were taking a non-working girl with me to San Jose, Taormina is the first place I'd consider staying at.

Regarding the HDR chica fee, I too don't like the chica fee at HDR, but I end up paying it for the convenience. In fact, they are worse about the chica fee now than they were earlier in the year. I used to be able to take a chica upstairs for about an hour, then take her out for dinner for an hour, and then upon returning to go upstairs with the same chica, the guy downstairs wouldn't force me to pay a second time for the same chica. HDR is more strict now. Management has cracked down on the security guys and now they supposedly have to charge you for each chica elevator ride even if it's the same chica going up and down.

Would anyone happen to know if some of the plusher hotels further away from the DR (Hotel Gran Oro, Hilton Garden Inn, Radisson Park Inn) are girl friendly? These hotels would not be girl friendly depending on the situation. If you are 40 years old with a 32 year old date, you could probably stroll through to your room if she was conservatively dressed. If you are 60 and she is 20 it would be noticed. Age difference and appearance is what attracts attention and that is what the hotel would be concerned about. I have had several friends visiting town for business who were in their 30's who had no problem bringing in a guest to an upscale hotel.

After a week in Medellin I plan to fly to San Jose for a week before returning home. I notice Costa Rica has some requirements regarding yellow fever vaccination for travelers from Colombia. But I'm not clear if it applies to travelers able to prove (with hotel receipts) they didn't visit infected areas. Anyone can help me on this?I actually got denied even getting on the plane from Bogota to San Jose last year. This year I am going from Colombia, to Panama 4 nights, then San Jose. You are supposed to wait in Panama at least 10 days first. The airline person in Colombia this time was trying to be a ***** and not let me leave to Panama, just because she was asking about my Costa Rica ticket. She tried to get the other Avianca guy to agree, but he said it won't be a problem from Panama. She didn't like that, so she called someone else. And they said it wouldn't be a problem either. The ***** at Avianca was doing what she could to make me an unhappy traveler. There are some places that give you the shot, and they will fake the date for you. I just did have enough time to do this before making my flights.

BUT: As I just got informed here in USA by Kaiser Travel nurse, if you are in your 60's the shot can have deadly effect and may even screw up the nerves system. About 1-20,000 chance, about the the same as getting Yellow Fever in the affected areas. The recommendation is NO shot for people in 60's and get a waiver letter from your Doctor plus the CDC card stamped with the waiver to carry also. That should suffice if immigration requests Yellow Fever shot documentation if you are in that age bracket. Otherwise, get a shot.

In about 2 weeks I'm taking a long weekend and am having trouble deciding between Tijuana and Costa Rica. I'm sure I'll enjoy either one but was looking for advice from some of you that may of done both.

From the limited research I've done here are my main concerns.

It seems to me my money will go quite a bit further in Tijuana with the average bar girl in the $70-$80 range, and street girls $20-$30.

I'm also reading a lot of reports of us dollars with creases, marks, tears, etc not being accepted in Costa Rica, this could be a huge pain in the ass for me if I bring $1000 and only $800 of it is accepted there.

Also looking at bars to just hang out in and enjoy myself between girls, I'm not the dancing type I just want to sit have a beer and watch the girls around me, it seems like Tijuana's clubs are more like a strip bar and CR is more like a dance night club.

Don't worry about ripped dollars in Costa Rica. Don't use dollars in Costa Rica. Get local currency from an ATM. By the time you get done buying "ficha drinks" Tijuana will not be cheaper, if you have any idea what you are doing. CR scene is definitely NOT like a night club with a few exceptions. By the time you pay your "street girl" and pay for the room, you can go to the pensiones in San José just as cheaply and it's much nicer and safer that way.

CR all the way, to my way of thinking.

Kinda want to try out the new territory other than around San Jose. There are some good MPs in Heredia though they tend to call them Salas. If you call from BP or CL they won't give you exact locations until you are in the area. Best deal is get to Heredia then use a taxi.

The airline states they have a 'requirement' to see this before boarding, but then nobody from Costa Rica checked upon arrival either in Migracion or customs.

The Red Cross office in the Bogota airport charged in COP approx 77.000 ($28?) or alternatively, given proper notice, I could have had a free shot from the airports' vaccination office but they took last patients into their waiting room at 6 pm. In either case the requirement wasn't technically met because I was vaccinated on the day of my flight, and 10 day lead time is allegedly what the airline is supposed to look for.

Newbie here. I've read through dozens of pages but still have a few questions. I had stumbled on this site for a trip to Dominican a few years ago, but unfortunately that fell through. As a result I have finally been able to book a flight to Costa Rica, but do not know where to start. I will be there for exactly 1 week and flying into San Jose. In reading some reports, some people seem to advise Jaco for the weekend, then return to SJ? I'm just wondering if that seems to be the consensus? Also I am looking to do a bit of sight seeing and take in the culture, ofcourse while having this hobby as well. I was hoping you guys could point me in the right direction as to where I should go for some action, while also being able to chat up some lovely women? I should also ask that everyone seems to be booking hotels as opposed to an Airbnb. I'm on a tight budget for accommodation so just wondering if this makes a big difference or if it can be similar? I really appreciate any feedback.

https://news.co.cr/foreign-man-found-dead-del-rey-hotel-costa-rica/70125/Commentors on the site believe it was probably drug-related, and that seems the likely conclusion.

If you are a regular to CR please chime in.

I had a girl tell me even though she has a degree and can speak English she can only escort in CR.

She claims she has high credit card debt that has defaulted so she can't pass background checks because of credit so no legit company will hire her.

She claims the government in a way does not allow her to work so she can only working girl if she wishes for employment.

Does anyone in the know find this to be plausible, or is it the probably working girl lazy bullshit? Is something like this a possibility?

The govt part is BS. She is just too lazy to work as is usually the case with putas. So I would incline to agree. However the girl claims she has a lot off CC debt she defaulted on and because of that, when applying for college degree type jobs they turn her down due to said debts.

Any possible truth to that it can be anything but a lady ladyin?

Would also want to know about places like Monteverde, Arenal, and Tomarindo. TIA.To find erectile recreation meds. Any pharmacy has them cheap. Get generic brands just ask they will tell you.

As for chicas unless you speak Spanish and have game in those areas use Tinder. Those areas are not point and click and the families are rather conservative and girls would not be approved of approaching men for sex for $ outside of a brothel type location. As for brothels. Get in a cab and I'm sure in any area they can lead you.
