Hi all.

I spent some days in SS and I honestly admit that, as repeatedly stated here by several members, the SW scene is not easy and not offering as much as I was lucky to experience years ago.

To summarize my perception of the SS scene:

1) KissFresh.
It is reported as the main spot in town, but it has a key disadvantage: it is open only at day time. If one goes to SS to work or as a tourist, I dont understand how he can find easily the time to go there....
Me, I could not find the time to try it, because I was either busy with work, or visiting villages and tourist attractions outside SS, or just willing to walk in the centre to experience a bit of the local atmosphere.

2) SWs.
There are several ones after 9pm, along Paseo Escalon and Av. Roosvelt, as well as on Heroes. I did not venture walking alone at night along Heroes, athough when I do so I dress rather bad and I have only money with me. On PE and AR I met some ones who are not bad at all, actually, but I did not see such a gem to remember for a long time (as it happened to me years ago on Roosvelt) and that cannot be found in a standard casa/bar.
I heard there are several SWs at night in the centre, East of the cathedral, but without a car that's not a place where to go at night.

3) Bars.
They are often places with little or no selection at entrance. Therefore, you may meet also some pandillero with tattoos that is eager to show how strong he is. A night I wanted to try Luxor (on Constitucion, between la Chulona and Salvador del Mundo), but I was dressed too well for that place so I didnt. The taxi driver also recommended me to not go ("es no recomandable"), but I think that these places cannot be worse than 7$/ficha bars in Quito reported by Tungurahua and that should not be missed by any serious mongerer. In Quito, I tried 3-Stars at night and I had a lot of fun, although most customers were tattoed, drunk and very noisy.

4) Casas.
I tried La Oficina, Casa del Sol and Muses.

The 1st and the 2nd are as described in previous reports by others, so I will not repeat. I would just say that:
- Both are not the kind of places I like. You sit down, girls come, you choose in 1 minute by looking. Then, changing is a bit embarassing for me. In a bar, on the contrary, you sit down to drink and you can spend 1 hour just drinking, until you see someone that attracts you, or leave.
- La Oficina has a 5$ cover (not 7$, as I read). Girls are attractive, but look a bit
too cold and professional to my feeling. I chose one that I called "princesa", due to her noble face lineaments, who was not bad at all, although a bit too perfect and professional in the behaviour (BBJ only with extra 20$ tip).
- In La Casa del Sol it seemed to me that girls were a bit more on the wild side. I found a nicest 18yo morenita, claiming to be new at 1st day, thin and dark like an Indian, who actually behaved with the enthousiasm to please like she was new for real. One amazing detail: pussy so wide that if I had some lube I could have done full fist-f.
She said first that the only thing she does not do is backdoor, but I actually did exactly that :-) Extra tip not requested and accepted with surprise.

Some words about Muses. If I am not wrong, it was never mentioned in other reports. It is on Av. Jerusalem, very close to the garden square where it crosses Paseo Escalon. If you are on PE, you can go there on foot, since the presence of 5-6 bars and clubs in 3 blocks makes that segment of PE well populated at night too.
It is a kind of night club, with 4$ cover and 7-8 girls (60$ for 1 hour). Their appearence is lower than at Oficina and Sol, but I think you know that best mongering experiences seldom come with photomodels.
I spent my time with a girl that I thought to be 25yo (but she told me she is 33 and with 3 sons: unbelievable I would say). She is such a good girl! I had a wonderful hour. Btw, usually I dont like pro girls that simulate an orgasm, since I consider it impossible to be true, thus too fake to be exciting. Actually, in this case the clit became hard while I was fingering.... (!!). Backdoor first refused than enjoyed, BBBJ. Extra tip not requested and accepted with surprise.

i fully agree with prolijo (previous post).

the few lines quoted above are really incredible. leaving mongering apart, es is a gem, rich of outstanding nature, good and kind people, breathtaking sights, even some simple maya ruins, unexpensive in most parts, dangerous only in bad areas of sansalvador. add to this that mass tourism has not spoiled it yet ,and you understand why i like it (i am european).
you dont see this, while the only aspect you claim to appreciate is that "there are a few us-style shopping malls around with theater multiplexes, so you can fill up your time" (????).

however, i hope that many people will agree with you and not with me, so to leave es still different than cr.actually, i think that you were also being pretty diplomatic. i also like many aspects of lorenzo's posts and appreciate the fact that he has been to many many places. however....

the problem i have is that he seems to think that simply having "been" to a place could necessarily make him any sort of expert on that place. i'm sure he might be a decent expert on some of the places he has been to where he's actually taken the time to really look around and/or been to more frequently. however, it seems that more often his visits seem to be more about breezing through a place to mainly be able to say he's been there. going out to eat at a nearby restaurant (which you pretty much have to do anyway at some point during the day), visiting the local shopping mall (because its one of the few things you can easily squeeze in between mongering, is nearby and you don't have to leave the city for it), or going to a movie that is pretty much like you could see at home -none of that constitutes in my view what visiting a foreign country should be all about. all that just scratches the surface and thinking in those terms just shows incredible superficiality.

you raised some good points in your second post about the oftentimes incompatability of mongering and traditional tourism. seeing the more worthwhile sights of el salvador will require you to get out of the city (even if just for the day) and that will eat into your mongering. if you came to es mainly to sample its mongering and you aren't willing to make that sacrifice than you probably won't get the chance to see and experience those other things that es has to offer, particularly if you just have a week or less like lorenzo had.

you mentioned kf, which is high on any mongers list, is only a daytime joint. the hours there are definitely limited to the prime time for doing other mainstream tourist things. however, it is still possible to get in a kf every day and also explore outside the city, if you go there first thing in the morning before catching the bus to whereever you're going, spend the night and then return in the early afternoon the next day for another late afternoon session. otoh, this would still mean giving up one of your nights and would also mean you wouldn't have a real full day at the place you're going, but could be a fair compromise strategy for someone who wants to go further afield without totally giving up their mongering. personally, i don't go anywhere just for mongering and have no problem at all, skipping a day (or days) of it, if it means being able to see and do other more worthwhile things.

Thank you for your feedback. I didn't take any of your comments as flaming. However, I don't think you paid close enough attention to what I said, so I'll quote myself below:

Please note that my comments were regarding San Salvador, not the country as a whole, so I think it is a bit unfair to take me to task for saying there was nothing to do in the entire country, which isn't what I said. I was, and still am, well aware of what there is to do is ES, but I chose not to avail myself of it in order to focus on the low budget mongering paradise that SS is. And Prolijo, when have I ever presented myself as an expert on the places I visit? That may be your INTERPRETATION of my comments, but that isn't what I said. I only present my observations and my opinion. The only place I consider myself an expert on is Rio; beyond that, I admit to being a dilettante.

Regarding Prolijo's observation that I "breeze through" a place just to say I've been there, I'll plead somewhat guilty. This brings us to just what one's core philosophy of travel may be. To me the essential choice is breadth v. depth, i.e., do I want to visit as many places as possible, even if that visit is necessarily superficial, or do I want to visit fewer places and explore them intimately, get to know them well, etc? If my name were Bill Gates or Warren Buffett I might be able to do both, but unfortunately it isn't. I have enough assets accumulated over the years to allow me to travel freely, but they aren't unlimited. Travel, even budget travel, is expensive, so choices must be made. My goal, which I will probably never achieve, is to visit every country in the world before I die, and to die broke. I would like my last financial transaction to be a bounced check to the undertaker. One deterrent to the goal of visiting every country is that some places simply scare me--Somalia, Haiti--so I defer visiting in the hope that conditions there will improve. Maybe they will. I am going into this only to say why my visits to some places may seem superficial, but if that is so, it's by necessity. I respect other travelers' ways of doing things to accomplish their goals, and I only ask that others respect mine. BTW, I would also like to monger in every country I visit, but in many places that just isn't possible or practicable, e.g., the more fundamentalist Moslem countries. But maybe things will change.

I hope this clears up a few misconceptions.

I understand all your points. Actually I fully agree with Prolijo last post, but I understand also the clarifications of Lorenzo.
I cannot visit a foreign place just for mongering. I am curious to see.

Btw, any more comment on my post? I think that most people who writes on this forum is too biased towards casas. Bares and calles should be paid more attention.

Almost all medium to large towns in San Salvador have their places. Some of those in San Miguel and Santa Ana have been reported upon, but there are many, many others in much smaller towns as well. San Vicente has a place ("Fantasies" or "Illusions", I think it's called) that comes complete w/ pool tables and a swimming pool. Down the street a bit is "Sandritas"; La Union and Acajutla are rife w/ mongering places although granted most are aimed at the transient crowd of any port town. I've mongered in Usulutan, La Libertad and Chalatenango, as well. Apopa is crawling with them, including the famous "Fish Beer Club". You gotta love that name! Ahuachapan and San Francisco Gotera have a few, as well.

Granted, the smaller the town the more unlikely the place and I'm not saying any of them is consitently good and most are dangerous but occasionally one finds a gem. Prices are much lower. And the outskirts of San Salvador has the Hotel Verde (now closed, I think), El Oasis de San Simon and further toward Santa Ana within spitting distance of the ruins of San Andres and, especially, Joya de Ceren there is the Tequilla Rock where I've passed many enjoyable hours...and it's only open after 6 PM. Even El Congo has at least one. Metapan is filty w/ them, as are the areas around most of the border crossings...largely for the truckers.

I am not suggesting that the causal mongerer would, could or should visit these spots, but as one of you points out, there is much that makes up the total cultural tapestry that the serious mongering tourist might want to include. With a little persuasion (i.e. buy me a beer) I could probably be convinced to give a tour of them once I get off this damn medicine that has left me flacid!

I guess no one is going to own up to calling Richard and visiting the place he's advertising in the General Info section (complete w/ photos of the first chica working there), but he told me that two weeks ago some gringo called and visited and was pleased. I'd sure like a report if the guilty person is willing to own up to it.

I, too, very much appreciate that this board is not beset by the incessant flaming of many others. Messeges sent by Internet are, by the nature, impersonal and thus easily misunderstood, the tone being frequently misconstrued by one poorly chosen word. Jackson's insitence on NONE chatroom style writing reduces the chances of this, but some mongerers sure seem to be sensitive wbout their opinion, even though like assholes, we all have one.

Armed assaults and carjacking take place both in San Salvador and in the interior of the country, but are especially frequent on roads outside the capital where police patrols are scarce. Criminals have been known to follow travelers from the international airport to private residences or secluded stretches of road where they carry out assaults and robberies. Is it really that bad? Any problems there seen by the mongers who have been there?

You may not have said there was not much else to do elsewhere in El Salvador but it sure seemed to me that you were implying it. My bad, I guess. Anyway, there is certainly plenty of things to do nearby using San Salvador as your base (you just might not get back in town before places like KF close for the day.

BTW, I can appreciate you're having a different approach to travel than others. My own approach is not something that I find others always understand or appreciate either. I can travel comfortably for under $50/day to most parts of the world (if I don't monger every day) and once I can retire fulltime that still comes out to less than $20K per year or less than what it would cost to live in the US. Once that golden day comes I figure I could easily "knock off" a couple of dozen countries or more per year if I wanted to. So as it happens our 2 travel philosophies aren't really all that far apart. I also aspire towards breadth, but have a much more patient approach to it. I won't completely give up on depth if I find someplace that I really like or am interested in (like Rio is for you), while other places I don't think are worth spending more than a few days in. And still other places I could easily die never having had visited. As it happens, I've been to Haiti close to 2 dozen times, never by choice, and can assure you that you aren't missing much.

Most of that may be true, but consider also that reports by the US State Dept. are ridicolously exagerated, always, to be inclusive of all possible events to avoid that something happens and it was not warned before.
I read some exhagerated warnings about European countries too (e.g., Italy!).

What is true, is that in SS there is almost no police on streets. Only private security, at any corner, where there is a shop or an office or an hotel.
At night, this makes the situation surely problematic.

If you think that "something to do" in a Latin country is to go to a US-style small and see a movie, no wonder so many places strike you as being "shitholes."

As for me, absolutely the last thing I want to do when traveling is the exact same thing that I can do at home on any given Sunday. I don't want to travel thousands of miles to go to a Borders or McDonald's.
Seeing the more worthwhile sights of El Salvador will require you to get out of the city (even if just for the day) and that will eat into your mongering.Prolijo makes it clear that he loves to get out of the city and see the country side. From his other posts it is clear that he is very much a back-packer/outdoorsy kind of guy. That's cool. I like a little bit of that sort of thing too.

But I guess I take the path less followed. Because whenever two or more are gathered together, I've got plenty to do to keep me happy.

I travel to meet the people. I love to stroll into a shop, any kind of shop, and make conversation with the owners and employees. I want to fnd out about their lives, their interests, and their views on politics, the United States, and the world in general.

I will stop in a market looking for an obscure item so that I can see how many local shoppers come to my aid to interpret my pissant Spanish and give advice to help out this poor gringo. A hell of a lot more than would do the same in the States, that's for sure.

I will wander into a dive in a barrio where no gringo is reputed to have ever come out alive. Just to order a beer and start singing along to the jukebox in words I don't even fully understand.

The people get a kick out of seeing a gringo who appreciates their music and their culture.

Many laugh at me, but some laugh with me, and I seem to make friends easily in these kinds of places. Not to mention, so far I have walked out of every single one of them alive.

I can often find someone in a park or a cafe or even just on the street and easily kill an hour or two just getting into their head.

The whole time like to pretend that I am an ambassador-at-large in the service of my country, out to win the hearts and minds of the people of the world.

One of my favorite memories came when I stopped in a hole-in-the-wall cafe on the way to 747 and ChaChaCha in San Jose. It was definitely the kind of neighborhood and establishment that would register as a total "shithole" in Lorenzo's book.

But I found a sweet woman treating her family to lunch since it was the youngest ones birthday. I visited with Mom and her five children for over an hour. I got to know all their names and ages, what grade they were in school, their favorite games, and the name of ther pet dog.

When I saw they didn't have a birthday cake, I asked the waitress to bring a piece of cake for everyone and we sang happy birthday to the little boy. Then I sang it to him in English.

I enjoyed myself thoroughly. And I hope that for as long as they live these children will carry the memory that Americans can be pretty nice people.

Admittedly, it is not the same experience as going to a US-style mall to kill time at a movie, let alone hanging out with the all "beautiful people" down in Rio.

But I find it all rather romantic.

This is how I like to have fun whenever I venture into a Latin "shithole."

You may be interested to know that I did all of the things you write about in your post over 40 years ago when I first started traveling. It may also surprise you to know that I spent 2 years as a Peace Corps Volunteer and spent more time meeting people, strolling through shops, sitting in cafes, listening to indigenous music, learning their language, visiting their homes, and yes, fucking their women than you will ever hope to do. I also helped a lot of them to, including some who later achieved positions of prominence in their own governments, and there is no inkling of your ever having done anything remotely like that. All you seem to be able to do is photograph babes wearing your Dodger shirt, thus marking her as your possession, if only temporarily, like a tomcat spraying. So now that I am older and choose to spend my time differently when I travel, who the fuck are you to find fault with me? You travel your way and I'll travel mine.

For the record, I have only referred to two places as shitholes, at least in recent posts, San Jose and Nicaragua although in the latter case I really meant Managua. So I have hardly found "so many places" to be shitholes. And let me define "shithole": a place that is ugly and without any redeeming aesthetic value, and is dangerous to boot. So you don't need to distort or exaggerate what I say. In the future, why don't you just ignore my posts and mind your own business, and get back to what this forum was intended for, sharing information about finding women for sex. When it comes to that, I think my posts are as good or better than most posters on this forum.

Why don't we let that be the last word on Lorenzo's style of travel as this tit-for-tat is going nowhere. I'll just say a couple of things and this is no reflection on Lorenzo personally.

First of all, I agree that Managua is real shithole, big parts of it are vacant land so it is spread out and hard to get around and their
'great' cathedral is an ugly monstrosity that looks like a nuclear reactor. SJ is another story. Lots of first time visitors to a 3rd world city call it a shithole and in some ways it is, but I'm surprised that someone that has been around to as many places as Lorenzo has, including SPS (which I'd rate as the 2nd shithole in CA after MGA) would too. While there is much about SJ that is ugly or dangerous, it is no more dangerous or ugly than most modern 3rd world cities including San Salvador. Like SJ, you probably don't want to walk anywhere very far in Sal Sal at night. And like San Salvador, SJ has some nice little parks and squares, nicer quiet little neighborhoods with manicured trees and lawns and a smattering of interesting looking historic buildings in the downtown area. Are either of these places the prettiest or safest places one could spend one's time in either of these countries? No, and thats why most normal tourists travel there to get out in the countryside. However, we're not completely normal. We're mongers. And the best or certainly the most mongering is normally in the cities not in the little towns. So that is what we're stuck with. You can call them ALL shitholes if you want but its all relative and I think Lorenzo is giving SJ a bad rap here. But this is a better subject for the CR section.

My second comment is that, without getting into a pissing contest as to who has done it more, I agree completely with BOTH Lorenzo and DB about getting out and meeting the people. That is a big part of why I like taking buses to travel around CA rather than flying around. Its not all about saving money, though that is nice too. Its about having more chances of meeting the regular people. And back on the subject of San Salvador which is the main concern of this thread (you knew I was going to bring it back on topic eventually, didn't you?) the people and not the sights in or out of the city are the real highlight of San Salvador and ES. Maybe it is because there are so few gringos in their country to make them jaded or to build a negative impression of us, but the Salvadoreans in general are the nicest and friendliest people you will meet in CA.

It is all the little things. Stopping into a tienda to buy a drink and asking the clerk where I could find a good pupuseria and then being offered a ride there by a fellow patron. Offering to snap a group picture for a family at a lake and then being asked to join them for lunch. Being called over by a couple of students to join them for a few beers and to practice their english and then their refusing to let you pay for any of it. Small pickups stopping to offer you a ride as you walk along some back road with you're so much as sticking out a finger and then when they let you off often refusing any offer of gas money. Asking a couple of older women on a street corner where to go to find the bus to the Terminal Oeste and then being guided ther by one of the women that was going the same way. In SJ and most other cities in CA, it is often more about what the locals can get out of each gringo they meet. In ES, they usually seem to just want to be friendly and helpful. They appreciate the fact that you take an interest in their country and are willing to come there. And they like to get to know you as you get to know them.

When I go to a foreign land, I like to experience how the real people eat, drink and live. May not agree with their tastes, but I see their point of view is.

Isn't that why we travel?

I guess I'm more of an adventurer. I like to mix with the locals. Do what they do, eat what they eat (with exceptions). But, of course, it has to be SAFE. If the common local activity is "getting jacked" or grazing your cattle in a field strewn with landmines, I aint down with that. There are limits to my adventuring.

Interesting thoughts. I am in SS now for the 8th time this year. The sights and sounds are lackluster, but the people are the bright spot of my trip.

I have been to many of those Central American places that were mentioned. SS is probably the best one; especially for mongering. So, if individuals want to stay away, that I fine with me. Now, I am off to KF.

How oddly out of context considering that the very post you were responding to said not one word
about mongering, but rather was devoted to ways to get to know and appreciate the local folk.

But I guess you haven't bothered to read my other 400+ posts. I will stand on my body of work.

Sorry, I forgot about Okole's in my previous answer to your question. It is right behind the Real Intercontinental, posing as a barber shop. After much thought and back and forth, I've decided on San Salvador for my next mongering spot. I just booked a flight to Guatemala City and I'll bus it to SS. The fare from nyc to guat was 312 including taxes compared to 654 to san salvador.

Anyways, I've heard great things about El Salvador. And I know from personal experience (dated a Salvadorian chic for two years). Seems like most are GFE and a pleasure to deal with. Few Questions. Why doesn't anyone on the boards try to meet these GFE chicas outside of KF? What other options do I have for mongering in san Salvador. Discos, MP's. Does San Salvador have a casino? What would be a nice hotel. Centrally located to the action?

If you are going by bus from guate you should look into www.pullmantur.com . It's a first class bus serivce to and from el salv. leaving from the holiday inn(I believe) in guate. They handle the paper work at the border crossing etc. I think the tickets are $40 US but I dont remember exactly.

When you look at hotels you should download google earth and see where they are. Anything close to "metro centro" should be comfortable. Also ask about the guest policy...have it in an email so you dont have trouble.

My only concern about arriving in december is will the hotels etc. in san salv and coastal areas be full due to holiday traffic? Maybe cpteasy can answer that question?

By the way Im willing to share what little info I know with you but I dont think it would intrest other board members quite yet. You should sign up to be a senior member so you can recieve pm's. It sounds like it would be worth it to you.

I wouldn't worry about the hotels being full at Christmas. Any holiday increase will be more than offset by the decline in business travelers over the holidays. Many of the hotels will be booking parties, etc., but that doesn't mean the rooms will be full.

On the other hand, I don't like the MetroCentro area, but then again, I live here, so I have that luxury; and I'm no longer interested in chasing non-pros. I suspect that must be part of the attraction to the Metro Centro area. Airtisttyp is right about the "guest policy" altho in ES, "where there's a will, there's a way...everywhere!"

I say the metro centro area is the best bet because it is in walking distance to kiss fresh for me. That may not be true for other people.
Also I liked having the supermarket close to me along with movie theaters etc. The zona rosa area reminded me of a "car only" area that you might find in corporate downtown LA. It did not look user friendly. Im a new yorker so I like to walk around.

Both metro centro and zona rosa are connected to all the bus routes.

I've always used a CC at KF because, like you, I like to earn airline miles. There was only a problem once, when for some reason no credit cards would go through and I had to pay for everything in cash. Every other time, no problem.

Riggo: I have had that happen to me. I'm not sure of your nationality, but if you're American, under US law the bank issuing the CC has to eat the loss. It never cost me a cent. The bank cancelled my CC and issued me a new one.

I'm not an expert on this, and I'm just repeating what I read in the papers, but my understanding is that if you lose your card, or if it is stolen, and you notify the card issuer, your liability is limited to $50 for any transactions that occurred before the notification and $0 for transactions that occurred after the notification. However, if the card never left the card holder's possession, which is really what we are talking about here, the card issuer is considered at fault for approving a fraudulent transaction, and the card holder has no responsibility. In my own personal experience, the card issuer has always notified me, cancelled the card, issued a new one, and required me to sign a notarized affadavit that the card never left my possession. This has happened to me three times, twice in Brazil and once in the US. However, there was never any question of my being liable for the charges, even though they amounted to several thousand dollars..

I do know this as well: credit card issuers keep a profile of every card holder's spending patterns, and when a charge for a large amount occurs that doesn't fit your spending profile, they are supposed to deny it. I have had legitimate transactions of my own denied, but after I called and gave them identifying information, they approved them. Given this fact, the company really is at fault for not catching the transaction, so it is fitting that they eat the cost.

I don't post too often but I do read a lot of the helpful stuff here. Anyway, a few years back. 2004 I think. I stayed at this place called Siesta Hotel Casino. Does anyone know if it's still around and if it's still girl friendly? Thanks again.The rate was $87 for three of us in one room. No I did not try any takout chicas. I was with two freinds and we checked in at the last minute. Just went to Kiss Fresh and saw Gabby. Im here got in today at around 12pm. When I got to the hotel(www.hoteltazumalhouse.com) I was disappointed because I was surrounded by a residential neighborhood. I couldnt see a damn store in site minus the little bodega next door.

The room is cool but really basic for $31 a night payed for with visa. The ac works well and there is a little fridge. Im not far from metro centro but I dont know how to get there yet. I did find a movie cineplex and a great mexican restaurant close by. Tommorow the manager will give me a little tour to aquaint myself with the area..stay tuned.

I will go to novoapart hotel for 7 days as well if they confirm my reservation.

I had the honor of meeting our very own capteasy today. He picked me up at my hotel and took me to kiss fresh. I enjoyed meeting him very much and he was really helpful in making me feel welcome.

Its official I cant deal with the place Im staying so I went to novo apart hotel this morning. They gave me a deal I couldnt refuse $46 a night with breakfast and tax(pay by visa). I dove on it! I will move over there tommorow.
I dont see myself moving from san salv. I have decided to save the beach for the caribbean destinations. Maybe I will take little day trips.

I did things a little different in KF today. I decided to step up my game a little even if it means spending a little more (heart attack).

today the captain and i went out to the coast. first stop was lunch in la libertad( at a place called rockys). its owned by an american guy named "bob" . he also rents out rooms.

the captain asked around about brothels but the only name that came up was " la sirena" a bar / brothel in the neighboring town of san diego.

as soon as you get into san diego it will be on the right hand side if coming from la libertad. the hours of operation are 6pm until 3 am .

we got there at around 2:30pm. luckily there were two girls present but after buying them a drink ($6) each they quoted us $50 for the session . the capt got them down to $30 then they flipped back up to $35. we left right after that happened.

it seems that the mayor has closed most of the operations in la libertad and this is the only place to go. i assume its loaded with tourists for those prices.

I had a really fun day today. I met up with cloud alex for lunch then he showed me around el centro.

Alex is a young guy well spoken and very knowledgable about the different scenes. I drilled him with questions and he was able to answer all of them...many thanks.

It seems to me that anywhere you go la union sonsonate etc. its all very similar. At this point I dont regret staying in san salvador for a pure mongering vacation. It would be nice to move around but eventually I will take a day trip to sonsonate and see what that is all about.

Today I went hunting for the scene that member jaimito cartero wrote about. Yes! there is a budget scene in san salvador.

Alex dropped me off at terminal oriente (bus station) right on avenida juan pablo segundo. Along the way we saw these little cevercerias which are beer bars with chicas standing or sitting out front.

When I was left off I began walking back towards el centro (parque centenario). I hit a street not far from the reloj de flores area (thanks capt) that had chicas standing outside of bedrooms that led right out onto the street. Their bedroom door leads right to the sidewalk so to speak. Again this is walking on juan pablo segundo back towards el centro. You need to look down the side streets for the chicas standing in front of doors.

I asked a few girls about the service provided and the price. I found one girl offering $10 then another girl offering $5. I declined both of them because they wouldnt do bbbj.

I continued to walk down jp 2 and hit a row of shoe stores. One of them is a boot maker who will make you boots for $55. The only problem is at the moment he needs 3 weeks time to work on them. I can clear this up for you very easily. If you did not pick up a street walker you didnt miss much.

Do the math and you will see that an average of $20 for the girl plus hotel will come out to almost the same amount as a session at KF...so why bother.
I like to do the street thing myself just for the adventure of it but yesterday I started re-thinking the whole idea.

I went back to the cervercerias scene and found two girls I would have liked to session with but they both refused bbbj. At this point Ive been banging everyday and even with a bbbj Im almost numb so anything less is worthless.

I will go to another area and see how that goes. I do alot of budget mongering and alot of girls will not do certain things for $5/10 sessions...some will.

Im ending my trip one week early due to complications in traveling around the country.

Two weeks is a REALLY long time to be here but I managed to fill up my time regardless.

I would say if your doing a central america trip 4/5 days would be more than sufficient. Anymore than that you would need to visit a few of the tourists towns to make your trip worth it. I did that the last time I was here so I just focused on mongering...not really worth it unless you get a good price on a ticket. I paid $605 from nyc which was on the cheap side. That same money could have taken me to peru or quito.

The people of el salvador are really conservative so it makes sense that there would be sex dens all over the city. Howvever day to day life is very much a mall culture or they go to outdoor parks with the family. There are night clubs but I never went. I think it would have been a waste of money. There is really no bar hopping area like a great zona to party. Places are pretty far apart and you need to really know where your going or you will wind up going in cab after cab.

I wound up seeing movies every night.

I would say stay at hotel intercontinental novo apart hotel or la villa serena. All these hotels are in a central area close to the huge mall bus lines and 8 strip clubs in walking distance. The zona rosa IMHO would be way out of the loop.

The strip clubs/brothels on blvd de los heroes did not do anything for me. Girls drinks are $5 and service ranges from $35 - 50 and you dont know what your going to get. The girls sit around and try to mooch drinks off you. The shows are ok but only stay for 1 beer then go on to the next one. $3 is the usual entrance fee which also comes with a beer. Try to get phone numbers. My go at it didnt work out but yours might.

Out of all the bars blue,studio 49 and playboy had the best looking chicas but I sensed lame service. I might be wrong.

El centro was cool. I hung out mainly at Tummy 1 and 2 . They seem to be the best two but do walk around and choose for yourself.
Some girls would NOT service me. No problem I found enough that would. BBBj is offered but not always and sometimes they put no heart into it.

Otherwise walk around the parque centenario area on both sides of juan pablo segundo and you will see little beauty shops that offer massages. I asked a few of them about servicio and they giggled then said no. Not alot of shopping to do unless you have small feet for $55 boots...start at calzados don juan on juan pablo segundo near parque centenario then keep walking towards reloj de flores and look for the workshops.

I see alot of GFE possibilites here but you need to stay for awhile. I got the number of a little 21 year old but it just wasnt right for me. I really should have never fallen for her silly giggling. She called once then messaged right after. I forgot her name and asked who it was texting me...it was her! It just didnt look good.

Kiss fresh was good but I chose my women very wisely. I suggest you do the same. Dont go just for the looks because alot of them are young without experience. I got burned the first time with a girl who was giggling while I was doing daty on her.

I think the hilton is in the zona rosa...out of the loop if you ask me. However if your willing to pay for taxis ($6 each way) you should have no problem.

Artisttyp is correct, given his perspective. He liked to walk to the places and KF is a little too far for it to be fun, but I don't consider the Hilton and Zona Rosa area "out of the loop", given that you're willing to taxi.

With a little persuasion and the right day/hour, I could be talked into a trip to KF and getting your oriented. You're not out of walking distance from several other spots, i.e. the Office and the Sol, and the famous Lips strip club, Blackbox and Zone Blue aren't ridiculously far. To me, "de nuevo" sounds a bit more formal than "otra vez", although they clearly say the same thing. So in informal situations like this, I would say "Podríamos hacer el amor otra vez". "Podríamos hacer el amor de nuevo" just sounds a bit stilted.

I have lived and worked in Central America for many years and can offer a few common sense and updated security advices that can save you a lot of grief, hassles and money. I am "older" and a bit "old fashioned" in that I like to deal with people after meeting face to face, look in their eyes and read their body language. Some of the "Comedores" or small cafeterias offer great lunches for about $2-3US, I don't drink alcohol (but don't mind if you do) and I always advise keeping a low profile and moderation in travel activities.

Many of the "Club Bars" that operate in San Salvador will soon be closed by the Alcaldia (Mayors Office) due to increased crime, within and without the Clubs in recent times, I have todays newspaper article regarding the issue (pdf) español, will send url if you message me.

There are now serious security issues in all the Central American capital city. Including SJ, Costa Rica, which is getting very dangerous at night.

The small towns and beaches outside the capital city of San Salvador relatively safe and if you meet a nice lady, they all love the beach! Be very careful of your passport, credit/debit cards, excess cash and other valuables and always stay in a lodging place with safe or hotel lock box, don't carry around your passport (a photocopy will do) except one hotel to another or when leaving the country.

Most of the working girls in El Salvador are single mothers and most of the girls will not steal unless tempted, so don't tempt them.

The "daytime" establishments are more casual, especially if you arrive before 4PM during the week, often you can find a lady to accompany a night or so to the beach. Take your time, buy girls a beer, talk one on one, often chemistry is more important than "looks", once I was with a Nicaraguensa (Nica), who had looks and body that would put a Penthouse Pet to shame, after 5 minutes she started looking at her watch and told me to "hurry up", my ding dong went down and stayed down. Ruffies, etc.) never accept drinks nor "rides" from strangers, especially overly friendly English speaking guys you don't know. Always best to have a local driver with you at night when in San Salvador.

DFK: Das besos franceses? Literally, "Do you give French kisses?"
DATY: Me dejas chupar tu cosita?" Literally "Will you let me lick your pussy?"
BBBJCIM: Haces sexo oral sin condón hasta terminar en tu boca? Literally "Do you do oral sex without condom until I come in your mouth?
CFS: Haces sexo completo con condón? Literally "Do you provide full service with a condom?"

Needless to say, there are tons of different ways to say the same thing, but I think that the above will be understood everywhere (meaning in all Spanish-speaking countries) and are not offensive or gross in any way. Hope this helps, and of course, any other questions you may have, just ask.

I usually discuss services all in one long sentence, with pauses in between for the girl to reply. One final grammatical point: I think it's incorrect in Spanish to say "tu cosita," "tu boca," "tu culo." It should be "la cosita," "la boca," "el culo." Using the personal pronoun as a possessive for a body part is considered a redundancy in Spanish. I frequently see signs in restaurant bathrooms admonishing employees, "lave las manos," not "lave sus manos." A native speaker once explained to me, laughing, that this should be obvious: "who else's hands am I going to wash? Yours?" However, in English we say "your hands, my hands." Every language has its idioms.

I have been in town for a full week now. I have had some friends show me around. Their fav spot is Lips. I have to say I have not been disappointed with the quality. There's quite a few, Andrea, Alex, Beatriz and Jacky to name a few. They have come to our table and chilled with us, knowing there is no money or drinks for them. There's much fun to be had, if you play ur cards right. I have had onsite meetings with a few and never was any money suggested.

I have been considering KF, i just don't function well when it's a mechanical event. I like to the buildup and teasing first.

There are a few chain drugstores easily found by walking around the mall. The one I can think of is located in the metro sur entrance off blvd. de los heroes. You will see a pollo campero immediately on the right then an ADOC shoe store further down. Make a left at the ADOC store and you will see the pharmacy.

I just arrived in San Salvador today and am bemoaning my wretched luck and timing. I decided to come back to SS more or less on impulse about 10 days ago and used some Delta FF miles for the airfare, booked a room at the Real Intercontinental for 6 nights. Then yesterday, THE DAY BEFORE I LEAVE, I read Cpteasy's post that Violeta may be leaving KF but the business as well. Ah, woe is me! Violeta, light of my life, fire of my loins, where are you going?
.....OK, I'm being melodramatic, but she was the highlight of KF.

Anyway, I arrive in SS today and, after getting settled in my hotel, I call Cpteasy, who confirms that she has left KF, but he gave me a way that I might contact her directly. I tried, but so far no success. So, dead tired from having very little sleep the night before, getting up at 5am to catch a flight, then having a cramped flight on a Boeing 737, I trudge over to KF.

KF is not the same at first glance, but I'll report more on this as the week progresses. I saw only 3 girls I recognized, Claudia, Sirenna, and Dulce. I immediately latched on to Claudia for 2 reasons: she and Violeta are good friends, and she is as good in bed as Violeta. She confirms that Violeta has gone from KF and that she will be going to the US, although she doesn't know where or what she will do there. (Unless she has found a monger to marry her, I strongly doubt this.) To continue the streak of bad luck, Claudia has a throat infection, so I opted out of DFK. Nevertheless, I had a one hour session with her and wasn't disappointed: she is as good as ever, did everything I wanted and even thought of a few things herself. I gave her a $7 propina because I like her; she is as nice a kid as Violeta was.

Is it just the mood I was in, or does KF seem to have an unusually high number of skanks that they have hired? To be continued after my next visit.............

This morning I finally talked to Violeta on the phone. (She never called me back after I left a message yesterday; I'm sure she had no idea who I am.) She agreed to come to my hotel tomorrow but wants me to call her first tomorrow morning. We'll see if it happens. I also don't know if the Real Intercontinental will give me any trouble, but I'll tell her to dress conservatively.

So, knowing that I wouldn't be seeing my darling Violeta today, what else could I do but go back to KF. Today I told them to skip that asinine presentation, and I just sat at the bar surveying the scene. My eyes fell on a comely blonde named Ashley, who is one of the newcomers. She sort of stood out from the others in that she wasn't sluttishly dressed, but looked like someone who worked in a bank. While were negotiating services, she tells me that she has a sore in her mouth and can't DFK. She even pulled her lip down to show me her gums, which looked okay to me. I'm beginning to think that these mouth infections are going all over KF, or maybe it's just a way to avoid DFK. She agreed to do everything else I asked, so I booked her for an hour. I wasn't disappointed. Not up to Violeta or Claudia standards, but she gave good service including BBBJCIM.

I sat around for a while and then picked for my second session of the day, who else but Dulce! Now those of you with long memories may recall that I my July 2007 report on KF I said that Dulce was the only dud I found at KF. So why, you may ask, did I pick her again. Well for one thing I like her face and body, because she is unusually tall. For another, I'm an intuitive guy and I somehow sensed that Dulce would be much better in bed that she was before. I wasn't disappointed. She still can't kiss very well, but she does everything else well--has excellent pelvic movement when we screw, and ends with BBBJCIM. I sent you a fairly lengthy PM that appears to have gotten lost in cyberspace. The fact that I'm using a hotel computer may have something to do with it. Anyway, this post will contain the gist of what was in my PM anyway.

I am happy to report that I finally connected with Violeta. She visited me at my hotel, and we spent a delightful 4 hours together. Since the Real Intercontinental is a fairly upscale hotel, I told her to dress conservatively, by which I meant like someone there for business. We met in the lobby, and she was wearing a blouse with a bare midriff, jeans, and high-heeled gold open-toed shoes. She wasn't conspicuous, but it wasn't exactly what I had in mind. Anyway, we proceeded to my room with no problem. I was surprised to see that she has changed her hair color from blonde to brown, which makes her look even more like the girl next door.

Well, we spent a delightful afternoon together and gave new meaning to "steaming up the sheets." I still find it amazing that this wholesome looking girl, who could be your next door neighbor's daughter who matriculates at Wellesley next week, can be such a sexual dynamo in bed. I have been mongering for decades, and she ranks with absolutely the best anywhere in the world, at any price. She is beautiful and charming, and a true sweetheart as well.

We took time to discuss her plans. I think she is a bit naive and unrealistic about the world, to say the least. She joined an evangelical church a week ago, which persuaded he to give up smoking and drinking (but not sex). I asked her if they want her to donate 10% of her income to the church, and she looked at mein wide-eyed amazement, as if I were a wizard, asking "how did you know?" I don't know the Spanish for huckster or charlatan, but I said all churches like this were "ladrones" (thieves), something which I sincerely believe. I don't know if it had any effect.

She plansto enter the US illegally in March by "crossing rivers and mountains" and make her way to Santa Cruz, CA, where she has an uncle. I told her that illegals in the US were usually confined to the most menial jobs. but she says this is okay with her. I'm a little skeptical as to whether she'll achieve any of this, and I won't be surprised if she's back in "the business" before long.

I've been laid up with Montezuma's Revenge the last couple of days, so I haven't been mongering. I fell better today, but not well enough to go back to KF. I think I'll call the hotel masseuse and see what happens.

Unfortunately they raised their food prices by 100%. Last year the average price of an entree was $6/7 this year they were $12/15...new york city prices.

I'm leaving for a month in the US so dropped by KF to ease my nerves before boarding the flight. Without Violeta there, I figured I'd pull Sirena or Claudia cuz I wasn't into taking any chances. BUT, there's a little one there named Criscia, whose looks have always interested me...short, not fat/thin, morenita, mischevious smile and good personality.

I'd spoken w/ her once before and she said that she'd never done BBBJCIM but was willing to try. I'd told her to get some experience and then come back. However, yesterday her willingness combined with weeks of wondering about her skills, so I took a chance. No regrets.

I am actually staying in Guatemala City for a month and came to San Salvador for 3 day to follow up on a love connection with a woman I briefly met in San Francisco. Long story so I'll leave it at that.
I came down on Pullmantur bus, took advantage of the travel and hotel deal, and stayed at the Hotel Siesta.
My friend was a good tour guide and I saw a lot of the city and the beaches but she took up most of my time so I didn't get back to the hotel until late each night and was to tired to go out.
My last day here my friend was busy and my bus didn't leave until 3 PM so I had one shot and went Kiss Fresh.
What a great place with great looking girls. I was a taken back by the line-up and with them all standing in front of me I was asked to pick one. The good thing was that it was a liberal hour, no rush and now knock at the door.

I'd read about the search and holding the camera but I forgot about it until he started the search. Damn I thought to myself! It was in a zippered pocket in my cargo shorts, he felt it and asked "What is this, a cell phone?" I told him yes, it is my USA cell phone, I had my Guatemala cell in another pocket, he didn't even ask to see it. Just dumb luck I guess.

Beatriz is prime, one of the best there. I did not notice becauce of the pouring rain the last 2 nights but the area around my hotel (Casa Del Sauce) is crawling with street walkers counted over 12 walking back from the Metro Central and some of them are hot. First I apologize to all the regulars for not having posted since the days of another forum. I am not much of a blogger. However, I must whole-heartedly agree with the other regs that Kiss Fresh is the place to visit before 7:00PM. Hey guys. I'm heading back down to ES hopefully in March. Wondering if anyone has an update on LIPS and KF my two favorite spots to visit.

I usually take chicas from LIPS and am wondering what the talent is all about. I was recently in a forum from down there and I hear the lap dances are now $15. They keep going up. 5 yrs ago they were $12, then $14 now $15.

Any update would be appreciated.
