Okay you have to check out these places in Guatemala City:
1. El Paso on street "Aguilar Batres": Q50 - nice chicks 5-7 scale
No head. There are 2 El Paso. On in front of each other
2. El Paisano around the corner from el paso: Q50- nice 4-6 scale
No head. There's also one next to Hospital Roosevelt
3. Beatriz a few blocks east of el paso: Q40 okay 4-6 scale

4. Le CluB: My favorite. IMO the best strip joint in Guatemala, classy and clean club, good security, good service, chicks on a scale 6-9. 5. Caprichos in zona 9. Nice chicks, nice small club. I think service is $600

10. Watch out with the TV's in la zona 1. They're on la 5th avenue

12. Bars along "La San Juan" skanky. mostly older chicks catering to drunk construction workers and isht like that
13. Chantilly in zona 7, close to La Juan. nasty chicks Q60 w/head
14. Barranquito en la Aguilar Batres, south of El Paso. Q50 no head. Chicks okay. between 4-7
15. Country Club en el trebol and next to Hospital Roosevelt Q60 and no head. Nice chicks. Between 4-8
16. Buho in el trebol. skanky strip club and you can f the chicks for around Q50/ no head. gangsters hang around there. I don't recommend this place.
17. La Ronda in La Florida off la San Juan. Nast. don't go there. Around Q60 w/no head and skanky chicks
18. Maritzas in la zona 2 close to el hipodromo. Q40 w/head and decent looking chicks. The show pornos on some tvs while you wait.
19. Trebol show. In el trebol. Nice chicks but I don't like the area. Not sure on how much they charge but its up there
20. Lips, where Josephines was. I think it's about $200 and these chicks are hot. Supposedly you can only take them to a nice hotel and they come with a driver. Never been in there but I heard the chicks are hot as hell.

I recently returned from Guatemala, and can confirm a bit more specific with regard to some of your information. Went to Caprichos two nights. You are slightly off on your values. It is Q400 for a 1/2 hour, Q600 for an hour...but if you start out for a 1/2 hour and decide then after 30 minutes you want more, it will cost you an additional Q400, not the 200 to get you to 600.
Le Club. The price to take out is Q1000. At least that is considered the minimum. The girls might try to ask for more, but that is the minimum. I agree with you, there are some very fine specimens in there. The girls get a 600 cut of the 1000. I made a date with one and she agree to come to the hotel the next night for 600, saved me 400, plus, now I have her phone number and can get in touch with her even before I get to the country next time and set some things up.. One thing to note about Le Club. I tried to take a girl out once early in an evening, and there was no leaving until 11 pm..they said she was a girl of 'categoria A', and as such, no leaving before 11. Even tried to bribe the manager...no such doing...doubt if there are too many early birds in this group anyway...
I visited Paisanos..enjoyed it, but I would say that one might be a 6, and the others are much on the 4 side that the 5 or 6 side..still, a heckuva a value and lots of fun.

Damn Viajero! Caprichos sure did get expensive. I was just there in July of last year and it wasn't that expensive. I wonder why it went up so much. Le club happens to be one of my favorite. Let me give you and others a tip on taking these girls out with you. Let me tell you a little story about this other place called "Platinum" en la zona 8. One of my favorites as well. I went there in July, like I said, around 2am horny as hell and I have a seat, start sipping on my drink, taking a good look around and I see this beautiful chick. Hey Viajero. Never been to the Gold Club you mentioned. But like you said, a zillion places in Guatemala. El Paso is actually not exactly on la Aguilar Batres but that's the main street. Okay I think I can explain this to you. If I lose you, let me know but anyone in Guatemala or any cabbie will tell you where its at. Okay lets say you're coming from el centro and you pass La bolivar, that street turns into la Aguilar batres. There's about a 1.5 km stretch from where you pass la Bolivar onto la Aguilar batres and the first light where there's Texaco or Star Mart. Before you get to the light about 2 or 3 blocks, look on your left and you'll see 2 El Paso bars. One accross from the other. Here's a tacky map for you. Sorry for the graphics...lol

Hope I didn't confuse you but if you get lost, ask anyone and I guarantee you they'll guide you in the right direction. It's Q50 to get laid and they have nice chicks there. It's probably one of the nicer Q50/lay bars I've been to. They have tons of security there so don't feel threatened when they frisk you b4 you get in. I say they probably have about 30 chicks with both bars combined. They sell some good a@@ tortillas corn carne outside in case you're hungry. Drinks are cheap. My specialty is El Salvador, but I have been to Guatemala City twice. When I was there, I stayed in Hotel Camino Real in Guatemala City in the year 2,000. Most 5 Star Hotels in Central America do NOT allow chicas. This one finally made the exception. I did this every night for 23 days straight. However, I did not like the Le Club or Club Gold. I went every night to Marujas in Zona 13.
MARUJAS IS EXCELLENT. ALL WORKING GIRLS ARE FROM EL SALVADOR WITH A SMALL FRACTION OF GIRLS FROM HONDURAS.

That is the same testing that they do for the working girls (in the clubs, not the streets) in El Salvador. But if the girl picks up something from a client in Week 1 or 2, and then gives it to you in Week 2, 3, or 4, what can you do?
Most of the girls give BJs without a condom. It is dangerous out there! I know that in the clubs in El Salvador, the condoms that the clubs give the girls are 4 to 5 years old. My only trip to Guatemala City was in 2000, and I spent most of the time in Zona 1.
My flight arrived late in the evening, and the taxi ride from the airport took me into a more desolate and shuttered downtown. There were a cluster of streetwalkers on Avenida 6, and the driver told me they were mostly TVs.

had around 11 hours in guatamala two saturdays ago. thanks to everyone's help, i was able to be quite efficient with my time.
did a little extra research. i found a friendly, older taxi driver to take me from my zona 9 hotel to the men's club in 9 or 10. i asked him about several places.
he said that caprichos may not be so safe for americans. "muy peligroso." i didn't catch whether it was the area or the facility. my guess is the former.
he strongly recommended marujas in zona 13. i'm sure there is a profit motive, but he was fairly consistent with this reommendation even after he knew i wanted to try the men's club.
as i was a bit surprised by the atmosphere (compared to guadalajara, panama city and caracas), i thought i'd share a little for other uninformed gringos.
when we approached the facility, i was beginning to suspect a kidnapping. the men's club and, apparently, others like it are not marked with neon signs. in fact, they are not really marked at all, as far as i could tell. in the middle of a fairly quiet street, a taxi line appeared out of nowhere. eventually, i observed a well-guarded door opening slightly revealing several more men suspiciously peering outside.
once inside (no cover), most were searched (not me, as i am clearly the prey, not the predator), and allowed through a very pleasant enty way (seems like there was a little garden area and aquarium). inside, it was reminiscent of a mid-western bar -- no windows, some smoke but not too bad, a long, curvy bar with stools, soft couches and love seats spread through the floor, and a small, unused stage at the end of the bar where it narrows. the shape of the bar was in an "l" to accomodate restrooms and, i'm assuming, the on-site room facilities.
the total size of the place was smaller than i expcted. perhaps the size of an average mcdonalds in the states (special analogy for fatbastard). there were, perhaps, 20-30 girls when i arrived, and half as many guys. eventually, many more guys showed up (again, a saturday night).
the girls stay rather stationary, scanning to room attempting to attract eye contact. they ranged in looks from 3's to 7's, with the vast majority around 5.5's. these numbers could be inflated with a couple of drinks, or if you give credit for youth. the girls seemed to be from a variety of countries, including guatamala, of all places.
the conversations and flirting were fun. my beers were 30q's and the girls' around 40q's for mixed drinks. (add a third, then eliminate a 0 for dollar conversion. 30q = $3.90).
the flirting leads to propositions to use their facilities for 320q's for 1/2 hour, slightly less than double for an hour. very reasonable, especially for a guy on a time budget. the girl i spoke with most offered $200 for overnight., or a cell phone number for less, i'm sure.
as it was late and i had an early get-up, i managed to get a nice outside hj to a surreptitious completion -- a trick i'm not particularly proud of, but it saved me precious time and money...
looking forward to trying other places.

regarding the taxi driver and his recommendation for Caprichos over Marujas, etc. I think the motivation was strictly economic for the taxi driver. The area of Caprichos is not dangerous...I walk there all the time from my hotel nearby, and there is always a large crowd of taxi drivers and bright lights outside...with guards at the door..to the one side the streets are well lit and traffic around. As far as quality inside, there are 5-8 times more girls in Caprichos, most if not all better than what you will see or get at Marujas...Marujas is okay, the quality is fine, but thre prices are higher, slightly, but generally about the same. The difference is that Caprichos is a club scene, lots of activity, girls dancing naked on the stage (if there are enough people), lots of fun...whereas Marujas is sedate and quiet...depends on what you like...your choice, but Caprichos is fun...lots to see and entertain you, even if you don't want to pay for a girl..plus, you don't have to take a cab to get there from the major hotels in the area...Caprichos gives you the 1/2 hour option for 400Q or the hour option for 600Q, just make sure you decide in advance, because if you start out for 1/2 and decide you want an hour, then they will charge you the double rate for two 1/2's good luck

An American Ex-Pat took me to a place called "Caesars". The address on the card is 5 Avenida 3-85, Zona 9. There was no telephone number listed, only "Guatemala, Guatemala".
Apparently it was a safe place to park, as we stopped about a block away. Hawk, Caprichos is within walking distance of the Holiday Inn, if that is what you mean by the Holiday Hotel..the Holiday Inn is girl friencly, also..I have used the yellow pages before under masajes, I think...
Also, the major strip club is within walking distance of there..I forget which one, but they can tell you at the hotel..there are also a ccouple of low rent places in the area, but after visitng them, I don't think I would recommend one.
The local paper has listings under servicios privados for outcalls..
If you are staying at the Holiday Inn, there is the shuttle bus driver, kind of a younger guy, maybe early thirties..he knows all the places...will take you anywhere you want to go....He gets off at midnight and will take you around if you want to take him inside also..I forget his name, but he is relatively short and stocky..not like the bell hops..he is strictly for the most part the shuttle driver, although when not shuttling he does other odd jobs..
If you want to go to Caprichos, have a cabbie take you, but watch how he goes and keep your oritentation, you should be able to find your way back..just look up at the large hotels for orientation..

The cabs all know where the SW's are and give or take to drive around and fine one u like depending how far from your hotel ,$5.00- 10.00dlrs (approx. 20min worth of looking from my exp.was $10.00 and cab driver knew where they were close by and was helpful) , if around zone5, 9,10,11, it won't take long./ SW's vary and I have no complaints ,however shop around and watchout for "culeros" =TV's or SW's tooo aggressive .... I don't remember which newspaper, but the hotel has all of them for reading at the restaurant..all it takes is skimming through them quickly, down to the personales, o servicios section and you can find them.
As for places that cost less, I will tell you a place I like, but may not be for everybody...the price is great though..Q300, ($35-40).
Walk out of the Holiday Inn. take a left. The taco place is on the corner. Go left again, towards the double wide street. Cross that street, going just slightly diagonal. Chili's restaraunt is on the corner. Keep the corner of Chil's on your left, and the Princess hotel will be on your right about mid block. Continue down that street. There are some restaurants on your left. Go across the next street. I think there is pizza place on that corner of that street. Just before you come to the next cross street, look up at what is essentially a house, but there is a white sign with blue letters that says Oasis Club. Will only be 3-4 girls in there...but if there is one you like, I can guarantee that you will be satisfied..real low key place..typical central american, like 20 years ago....
If you want a back up, ask at the hotel holiday inn where is princess. Just conintue down the Princess street, staying on the left side..it is only a couple blocks. If you go one more block past the Oasis street (or turn there at the corner of the Oasis, I foroget) and take a left, you will go to Caprichos..what I do sometime is go to Caprichos..have a couple stiff ones and watch the girls dance nude on the stage, have a few rub up agains me and then go back to Oasis. Caprichos wants Q400 for half hour and Q600 for an hour, Oasis wants Q300 for an hour...

Holiday Inn charged me $10.00 It is pretty hard to sneak them in, unless it is in the middle of the afternoon and you take them up to the restaurant first and then try to skip over to the elevator on the second floor..but still, they know..those guys watch all the time..it is just easier to pay the money..they are very girl friendly at the Holiday....I had one of my locals refer to that Hotel as where the "puteros" (johns) stay. Don't worry about it. She just needs to leave an ID and you sign a form saying you take responsibility (in case of reporting her stealing, or whatever, which is really their biggest fear. Fucking women is part of the culture, so they could care less, they just don't want thieves.
He was referring to central americans, not gringos..I acted like I didn't know that (innocence works a lot of times)..but now I stay at the Princess when I am meeting with him, as he is a client

my last visit to ciudad guatemala was in 1999, but most things are unlikely to change in a short time.
it was necessary for me to stay in zona uno, and i stayed at chalet suizo (14 calle 6-82 - telephone 86371). the rate was about $25 per night (although the guidebook said $8) - maybe they saw the rich gringo coming. the room was spartan, and cold at night (no central heating or ac). guatemala city gets cool in the evenings. despite its latitude, it's at a higher elevation than denver.
on the plus side, it is entirely girl friendly. the guy at the desk would run down to my room and let me know that a girl (prearranged) wanted to visit.
the immediate area was totally safe. the police hq is two blocks away (avenida 6 and calle 14).
the big park in guatemala city is concordia park. it begins across from the police station and runs several blocks to the south, bordered by avenida 6 and avenida 5. the park was closed for renovation during my week-long stay, but i learned that this park had been the home for the homeless, who would do anything for a few bucks. unfortunately, i didn't get to check this out. a number of female beggars on the street were obviously **** (although i don't know what the legal age is in guatemala, or whether it even matters).
the club my ex-pat friend took me to (previous post) kept me well occupied, as did the telephone number (previous post) that i got from my first pro.
i do plan on returning. a buck goes a long way.

One aspect to Zona Uno that I didn't mention in previous posts is the SWs - centering around Calle 12 and Avenida 5 - extending their stroll up and down
Avenida 5.
Some were damn good looking, but I got tipped off that they were TVs. Luckily, I didn't take one home and get a rude surprise. The streets are desolate at night, and they are about the only people active in the area. The bellcap at my hotel clued me in, fortunately before I picked up one of the beauties.
He was the one (previous post) that made a telephone call for me and immediately delivered an 8 and a 9. I was supposed to make a choice, and I chose both. It began with a great three-way shower and continued into a king-sized bed with everybody doing everything. My instincts - and a good hardon - made me dispense with a rubber, and they totally wasted me. No anal, though, but it would have been available for additional Quetzals.
The fee was 600 Q for the two of them (about $85). I tipped the bellboy 100Q ($15).
I changed hotels the following day, though, because he told me that other desk clerks - depending on who was on duty - could be more difficult.
Chalez Suizo - a few blocks away - fit the bill. I'd tip the desk clerk 10Q (about $1.50) for any favors he did for me (even retrieving something from the safe deposit box) and he couldn't do enough for me. I didn't ask him to send me a girl (my spare time was already filled), but I'm certain he would have.
He escorted my visitors to the room, though, without any questions.
I'd recommend Chalez Suizo to anyone who only needs a place to sleep and a place to screw. No TV, no telephone, no amenities other than a shower which has to run five minutes before you get hot water. These are things I can deal with, when there are more important considerations to me.
I have been going to central and south america for the last 3 years on a regular basis. Guatemala City can be a very dangerous place and Zone 1 and 5 are really bad areas they are both right next to each other. I Would not suggest staying or looking for action there. Zone 9 and 10 have the best clubs. There are also a couple of upscale clubs in Zone 7 Le Club being the bestin zone 7. the in service is from 30 to 80 dollars for a hour Platinums(zone 9) is open the latest till 5am they have a full time strip show and in service starts around 300q or 40 bucks for an hour there is out service but it is much easier to get the girls number and call her the next day then you pay the same for out service as in service. Escape (zone 10) Gardens (Zone 9) there are tons cant name them all but the taxis know them all
There are some locals clubs that offer 15 minute in service for 70q or 10 dollars in Zone 12 and the girls are not that good but there are always a couple of nice ones but they are very busy. 2 of them are on one street 2 blocks from each other cant remember the name
If you are looking for a good place to stay Zone 10 has a little place called Las Torres 30-40 bucks a night depending on how long you are staying. clean safe and in the Zona Viva. 13 calle and la reforma.
Also the the pick up discos are called Perehas (zone 9 right next to pollo compero)and does not even open until midnight good place on sundays. Milleniums as well pick up disco in Zone 7 all the girls in there after 1am are good to go. also a sunday place since most of the houses are closed on sunday as well as bars
I wanted to add my own, delayed, report on Guatemala City. I was there about 2 weeks ago. I am a long time fan of Murahas (spelling?), but this time wanted to try something different--so I set out for Club Oasis and Caprichos. I was staying at the Westin Camino Real, so I walked it. The directions below are great. It is easy to find Chili´s, and the street with Caprichos is one full block past Oasis. Caprichos is a large white building with no sign. On the Friday night I went the whole block was filled with cars. I did not have to pay a fee at the door, but the drinks were $5 apiece. It was very crowded with a lot of locals. I think they were mainly there for the show. I have to say that I witnessed the most impressive, acrobatic pole dance of my life. All of the women were available--they would rub up against you or make eye contact. Most were a little large for my taste, and I settled on a young, slim girl named Isis. The rooms in the back are nice enough, but not air conditioned. The cost is only $60 for one time. Isis was good, but not particularly memorable. Club Oasis, however, was another story. It is right out of a time warp, quite old fashioned. The women were 5s at the best, and I refused to pay over $50. I selected Flor de Maria, who must have been at least 30 years old. She was from El Salvador and could not have been more accomodating. I loved how she felt against me after she took a cold shower. The BBBJ was excellent, taking it all in, sucking on my balls, licking my shaft, etc. She got on top of me and really got me off. Next came a long, relaxing massge. Then I was ready for one more time and got on top of her for the duration. I was not rushed at all and could have done it again, but I had nothing left! This was the fifth night in a row with a total of 7 women.
I had made my first visit to Guatemala several weeks ago. I had a wonderful time, both in Guate and in the rest of the country. I didn't hit any of the american "strip club" type of places. I did sample a good amount of local places, including El Paso. I got laid a total of approximately 10 times over a few nights, and probably didn't spend more than $150 in taxi fares, beer, and girls. I talked with a few locals and did my research on how much to pay for the various taxi rides beforehand. From Zone 1 to El Paso should only cost 30Q, which is what they would charge the locals. From the airport to Zone 1 should be 60Q either coming or going. When I approach a taxi, I usually tell them how much and where to.
I don't know if this has recently changed, but El Paso was charging the regular 50Q, but for only 15 minutes. A few of the girls would get past this by opening the door when the knock came, making him think that we were about to leave. As soon as he walked off down the hall, she would close her door again.
I was very impressed with the quality of the girls in El Paso. This is definately the best selection of all of the cheap 50Q places.
I also found a few treasures on the street around Zone 1. I picked up an El Salvadorena about an 8 on a 1 to 10 scale.. She was $20 for 1 hour, and ended up staying longer. She initially quoted $20 for half hour, and my counter offer was for the same price but 1 hour. After the act, we exchanged massages and chatted for a while. I think that is pretty much the going rate for the lookers. Some of the less attractive were offering their servies for $10. Of course my statement of "less attractive" is subjective, I would put them in range of 5-7 in looks. I was surprised that very few of them were old nor ugly.
I've been to numerous other latin countries, and I still give a definate thumbs-up for Guatemala.
Also, their local beer Gallo is pretty good.

I checked out one of the places I listed in previous post: the one at Av.Castellana 9-39 z.9. This place is about 6-7 minutes from the Marriott by car--if you drive, they'll let you park in their enclosed driveway. It appears to be a bar with pool tables, but comes equipped as well with 5-6 Guatemalan girls. This was my second visit, and I've found that though most of the girls were heavier than I'd like, I could always find one to suit my fancy. Indeed, I did find "Leslie" this time, a "7" with nice body and very enthusiastic attitude and well-skilled in the sexual arts: 19 y.o., BBBJ, and DFK, didn't ask for more. Here's the rate structure (you should mention you saw the "anuncio" in the paper to get the lowest rate plan): 10 min.(sic) = 50 quetzales; 20 min. = 100 q.'s; 30 min. = 150 q.'s. I opted for the latter (roughly $20) and couldn't have been more pleased. If you're looking to locate this place on a map, the Avenida Castellana is just north of the "Diagonal" that runs from the Avenida Reforma to the Trebol, shortly before you get to the turn off for the airport if you're coming from the Reforma. I will be journeying to Guatemala on August 19th. I have spent time in Panama, Venezuela,Colombia, Honduras, Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic. Any specific warnings or places to enjoy the hobby in Guate city will be appreciated. I hop I meet with other Forum members while I am in-country.
Does anybody know which hotels in the budget ($20-50) range have lockboxes in the rooms or at least rental safes in the rooms? I will be arriving in Guate city on the 19th of August and departing on the 29th. Are there any other hobbyists that will be there?

It has been around three years since I have been able to get back to the hobby. I sent wife #2 back to the Dominican Republic after it became clear to me that she was incompatible with the US and was unable to be in a country where she had no family members near. As you mention, you've met girls from El Salvador before, so you know that they give the best service, are the hardest working, best attitudes, best looking, etc. You get the idea. If you haven't been to El Salvador, you ought to try it. We're not big or fancy, but we're "real" and the women are breathtaking...and barely take a breath.

I am passing through Guatemala City on a quick business trip and wanted to check out several old favorites. Last night I went almost straight from the airport to Club Oasis (see the directions in an earlier post). There I hooked up again with Flor de Maria. Yes she is old (30+) and yes she is only a 5 in looks, but she has long, slim legs and is a tremendous talent in bed. We started with a BBBJ to completion--licking up every drop--and then relations two more times, both with me on top. Somewhere in between was a 30 minute or longer massage. The price is much higher if you want to take a girl back to your hotel.

Marujas will be closed at that hour, but Caprichos will be going strong. It is within walking distance of the Marriott, but all the cabbies know it.
Interestingly, I dropped by there last month. There was this really nice blonde and I wanted to find out about her. Turns out she is Russian, speaks more English than Spanish...her price is 50% higher...says it is for the Russian girl. I guess the Chapines are willing to pay more.
I wouldn't have paid more for her, although I don't know how good in the sack are Russians since I haven't had any; but latins are hard to beat and unless she was a total knockout, not worth 50% more. It looks like Caprichos has changed ownership or management or something, because the bartenders were different, and many of the girls were diffferent too, the whole place seemed to have some changes. I only stayed about 1/2 hour, wasn't really in the mood.
However, you can't take out at Caprichos, or so they say. I don't know about late at night, when the chances of them earning more go down...
The clubs can be expensive, but the Platinum would be the place to go..you can take out there after 11 pm.. I know, cause one time I tried to take out at ten and had to conitnue drinking until the bell rang...good luck

Viajero Tropico thanks for you info. Just got back and here is my take on the club scene in Guatemala. I had fun but it is pricey down there. I believe Guatemala has the highest GDP in Central American and there is a reason for all these girls from other countries working there. That being said I had a blast.
First night I went to Caprichos. Nice thick Salvadorian was dancing naked on the small stage. It was Friday night and in Guatemala the end of the month is also payday so the guys outnumbered the girls in there about three or four to one. Caprichos is a small place and it was crowded and the dudes in there were getting tore up. I heard glass breaking four or five times while I was in there but there wasn't any bad vibes, just dudes partying hard.
The music in there was too loud for my taste so I went on a stroll to see if I could find an available girl. I was surprised to see the Salvadorian unaccompanied and to make a long story short I bought her out for the night. I've been in Asia for years and I really missed the fine Latinas with those thick bodies. Nice girl, nice time. She was dropping hints about being free on Sunday but I didn't want to settle down yet.
It seems that all these clubs are closed on Sunday due to liquor licensing laws so if you are there over the weekend make sure you make an arrangement with a girl to go somewhere on Sunday. If anyone here knows of other options for a new guy arriving on a Sunday please post it.
Next night I hit Platinum. I prefer this club as there are more girls and it is not as crowded. They look good in their cowgirl outfits. A Nicaraguan named Sharon hemmed me up from the beginning. She is 31 and her face was not as pretty as the other girls I had my eye on but once she started wiggling that thick rear in my face I decided to take her out for three hours. The price for three hours was the same at Platinum as I paid for the whole night at Caprichos (both times was around or after 11 pm).
Once Sharon left it was after 1 AM and it was time to find someone to spend the night. I went to LeClub. This was the biggest club so far. I had a cramped seat by the stage when I caught the eye of a fine looking Guatemalan. Nice young face, dirty blond hair. We went to a booth and then it was time for her to dance. She came out in a schoolgirl outfit and had a fine body. I had to buy her out for the night.
We went back by the Holiday Inn and she wanted to go to a disco. There is a hip-hop bar on the opposite corner from the hotel down some stairs. It wasn't my scene. The girl said she wanted to see her cousin and wanted me to wait for her. I waited for about fifteen minutes but once all the kids in there started singing along to the chorus of "back off ***** back off" it was time to leave. Once I'm out the door here comes my girl. We go to a salsa bar right across from the hotel. Once I get a beer she tells me she wants to go buy some drugs. I ask if she wants some weed but she wanted coke. She asks if she could go off to score and I said all right. I wait for a few minutes then came to my senses and left.
It would have been great sex but she was a full on party girl and I think with some coke in her she would have wanted to stay out all night and meet some strange people.
Poorer but wiser I went to my room. It was Sunday morning already and I wanted someone to be with that day. Sharon was dropping hints about Sunday so I decided to go back to Platinum and wait for closing time.
Sharon was happy I came back and we partied until closing at 6 AM. Sharon and her friends talked me into going to the beach with them. Once of the girl's husband drove up in a pick up truck and we went to one of the northern zones to pick up the family. I get about an hours sleep in the back on the two-hour ride to Puerto San Jose. Partied, body surfed, and got a hot room for 20Q to make some love. We left around 6 PM and about a half hour into the drive a thunderstorm hit. Cold and soaking wet I make it back to my room about 9 PM.
I guess if you are looking for the girlfriend experience go for a girl from the other countries. They don’t get taken out much and would be happy to do something like go to Antigua with you. If you treat them nice then you should be good to go. As for the Guatemalan I wish I knew her name to warn anyone from buying her out for the night. Make no mistake she should be great to get for an hour or two.
Last advice is get to the airport early. The line for Immigration was very long and a lot of people were begging to cut the line because their flights were leaving. At a minimum I would get to the airport two hours prior.

Sorry to dissapoint you, but there are many reports about Caprichos, prices, etc., from mine and others reports...it seems redudant everytime a club is mentioned to say what the price is. I was just answering the guy's question, where? at this hour.
But, to tell what it was the last time I was there: Capricho was 400 Q for a 1/2 hour, 600 Q for and hour...always in house.
The platinum did have a take out fee, I forgot what it was...maybe $60 US and the fee with the lady if you can get he to go out is personal...I recall ageeing to about $100 US, which seemed extremely high, but this chick was a cross between a Salvadoran mother and a Belgian father and was one of the most beautiful women I have ever laid eyes on anywhere...I just had to have a taste of it, regardless.
Marujas, I forget the various prices, but you can take them out of the club for $90 US. I have never done it, always did the deed in house...and they have a 1/2 hour and 1 hour price, which is really 1 wad shot and 2 wad shots....they are slightly higher than Caprichos....
So, hope this makes you happy, but really, you need to scroll back many reports and see all that there is to learn about these places...

The girls will ask for the moon. And if you are a US businessman and can't speak Spanish you may end up paying whatever she asks. Some guys just don't care or are afraid to negociate. But if you give a report, please tell how much you paid and what you received. Knowing if a poster is fluent in Spanish or a provider speaks English is very useful info. And try to remember names and prices. After a while, a clear pattern emerges and it helps everyone out. That is the real power of the Forum. Hi,
I arrive in Guatemala City this weekend. I'm wondering about how safe it is to walk around zona 1. Are there many good SW's in the zona 1? As I mentioned, Concordia Park was closed for renovation while I was there, which the "Rough Guide" stated was a good location for an inexpensive pickup point (if you can screen out the TVs).

Have ticket flexible for travel to Guatemala City and I can go there anytime until March. I am planning mid January, tentatively Jan 15-26, just waiting to see if anyone is going to be there between mid December-end of January and maybe I will be able to plan accordingly if someone wants to hook up. I speak above elementary spanish.
My main questions are on cheap budget hotels. Can anyone give me an opinion on Fortuna Royal, Hotel Ajau, Hotel Colonial, Chalet Suizo(mentioned numerous times), Spring hotel, and Concordia hotel. I would like to spend less than 30US a night and some of these hotels are real low budget and are in undesirable areas and are less than 20US a night. Prefer safe box, very girl friendly(even accepting sw's as guests), and halfway clean. I am not too concerned about safety though I hear zona 1 is dangerous but have been to Mexico City and can't imagine many places more dangerous than there walking at night and I practice the usual caution. I have spent my first full day in Guatemala City. First of all I´d like to sincerely thank all the posters for their useful information, making my short visit as productive as possible.
Here's my report:
The airport is nice and modern, the customs agents very friendly, banks available for changing money and the taxi to zona 1, hotel Chalet Suizo is 60 quetzales as previously mentioned.
The hotel is exactly as previously mentioned. The cost now is about 160 Q. which is just over 20 dollars. Very basic hotel, no TV, friendly day and night staff, "guest friendly". In my opinion it is kind of far from the action, at least the places that I have been going to. However, since I am only going to be here a short time, I didn't bother looking for another hotel.
I feel safe here, but EVERYBODY warns you about safety, so there must be some safety/security issues going on here. Different people warned me about not taking a cab off the street, they said most of the time everything will be okay, but once in a while the cab drivers will trick you and meet up with their "associates"and rob you of everything you got. So I am using the same cab driver here, his name is Leonel, charges 50 Q per hour, knows all the spots. The hotel called him for me. If I don´t lose his card, I will post his cell phone number in a future post.
I did not go to any of the touristy expensive places. Went to the two El Paso bars, Paisano bar, Twist bar and Country. They were all as mentioned in previous posts.
Here is how it works in the bars here. You go in, sit down, there are usually about 8 to 10 girls in these places. You order something to drink which will cost you around 20 to 25 Q.
Nobody will bother you, in fact the girls will all ignore you until you motion to one to come over. Their drinks will cost about the same or sometimes up to 40 Q. per drink. I always had only one drink, enough for introductions, but I wasn´t there to drink! All the girls live on the premise, they´ll take you to their room, the full service will cost anywhere between 50 Q per 30 minutes to 120 Q. per 30 minutes. 15 minute sessions are also available. I didn't bargain, I just paid what they asked for, it seemed reasonable. For those of you who stay here a while and get to know the system better, you may be able to go even lower.
ALL the girls that I met were from El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua. I banged four girls and none is a local girl so far! They were all without exception courteous and gave good service. I do not have any complaints. The bar Twist has extremely loud music, wear ear plugs before going in. PAISANO bar was my favorite, I would recommend it as a starting point. I think I went to the one on zona 11, but there are two more Paisanos in zona 12 (I may have the "zonas"confused, but your taxi driver should know, if he doesn´t, get rid of him).
At night, I went to zona 9 and picked up a Honduran girl SW, 23, about a 5, very polite, good service. 150 Q and I could have bargained down but didn't. The prices in the bars are so cheap and the quality is good, so I am not sure if there is any need to pick up SW's. I also went to my own neighborhood, zona 1, but we only saw a couple of transvestites so I can´t tell you too much about the street action in zone 1.
Unfortunately as my bad luck would have it, this weekend there are elections in Guatemala, my understanding is that the bars are closed since no drinking will be allowed. Anyways, I´ll try to find something to do and post later.
My overall impressions:
The city is very big, don't come here if you don't like big cities. The people are very friendly. The prices are very cheap, in fact possibly even cheaper than Honduras. Security is a concern, but if you have a trusted cabbie, you should be okay. There are many many sex workers in this city, most of whom are from other countries. They will give you good friendly service. Consider finding a hotel which is closer to the bars than Chalet Suizo. The exchange rate right now is about one dollar to 8 Quetzales.
I agree with the poster "Pacifico" that you don't need to go to all the gringo/touristy clubs to get good sex, but to each his own.

Today Saturday not much going on in terms of bars since tomorrow is general elections and no liqour consumption allowed tonight.
I went to a massage/sauna place called ¨tres monos sabios¨or something very similar to that. It is on the way to Antigua city, right on the interamerica highway going from Guatemala city to Antigua city. It is just past the town Mixco. 250 Q. will get you one hour of massage, BJ and FULL SERVICE. I tried them once on my way to Antigua and then again on the return. It´s an auto motel, you go in, pick the girl, then they take you to a nice room which has behind it a bathroom and a small sauna. The girls are about 5 to 6 mostly, they give very complete and friendly service. The sauna and bath however is behind the room, if you decide to use them, keep your pants/money in the line of sight which will be difficult to do. Hours are from 9 to 9. I had a Guatemalan girl on my way in and a Honduran on my way back.
On the exact same road, a couple of miles more towards Antigua is another place called Sirenas. It was closed today. My taxi driver said it´s more expensive than the one I mentioned above.
My taxi driver´s cell phone number is 4014775, his name is Leonel. He doesn´t speak much English, but he has been a taxi driver here for 26 years, so he knows a lot of places. I believe he also works outside Marriott hotel.
Twist bar is on 32 Calle, zona 3. Wear your ear plugs if you decide to check it out.
Antigua itself was nothing exciting for me, there are a lot of shops, etc if you want to go souvenir hunting but I wasn´t interested.
This is a huge city with all the traffic and pollution that come with a big city. It has a very well established sex trade which will take me a full two weeks stay just to be able to scratch the surface.
I will again say that in my opinion, hotel chalet suizo is kind of far from action. I hope one of the Guatemala experts here can suggest a nice hotel closer to bars Paisano, Country, etc.

You did the right thing by getting a taxi reference from the desk clerk at Chalet Suizo, and sticking with him for the trip.
I agree that Zona Uno is deserted and dead after dark. The only street action seems to be the TVs on Avenida Cinco.
Did you check out Concordia Park? It's only two blocks from Chalet Suizo, but it was boarded off and "under reconstruction" while I was there. I had been told it was a good pickup place in the early evening. It's a safe area (as police headquarters are on the northeast corner), and they don't give a shit about chasing SWs. I admit that seeing teenage cops with automatic weapons is a little disconcerting, but I felt totally safe at all times.
Hotel Los Torres is in Zona 10 AT the intersection of La reforma and 13 Calle one half block in across from the Holiday Inn on 13th Calle best deal for the money in Guatemala City. Its near all the action of zone 9 and 10 and close to zone 12and 11 (near the airport)where those short time bars are off Roosevert or CA1.

I didn't check out the park that you mentioned. The only thing that caught my attention at walking distance from chalet suizo were the street venders and the shops where I had some tasty Choripan and Gauchitos(spelling may be off) for about 12 Q.
I agree with you in that during all my stay there I felt completely safe. I continue to highly recommend my cab driver. My last night, he came and picked my up at 4 AM sharp from the hotel to take to airport. Very good and reliable guy.

First night in Gte city.
Would rate it on par with Costa Rica!
Checked into Batman recommended hotel in zone 10, Los Torres. Day manager charged me $30 for a room, then said all he had left was one with the TV not working and right off the lobby, so it was very hard to sleep with all the noise from the phones ringing and people in the lobby. Night security guard did not mind if I brought a girl for the night, but said she would have to be out before 6 am when the day staff arrived. One guy from Chicago had negotiated a monthly rate of $330 for a room in the back($11 a night).
Am checking into the Holiday Inn for a special price of $65 plus 22 percent tax, a night for the next few days. They have pool, gym and 4 stars. Extra $20 if you check in a girl for toda noche. Tell them your fiancee is coming later, book a double room for the same price, and there will be no extra $20 charge when you bring a girl into your room later.
The girl scene is very good here. Many of the girls speak English some. Visited 4 clubs last night and ended up at Capprichios. Surprised that there are very few travelors here.
First was Platinum. There were about 15 dancer girls there dressed in black and white uniforms. They seemed aggressive and not nice, so I left after a trip to the bathroom. Average age of dancers were about 25.
Next the cab driver recommended Mens Club which was on the way to Cappricchios. Said the girls were younger, which is true. Sorry, Batman, I did not like the Torres and left after the first night due to the noise of being in the only room available off the lobby with no outside window and no TV. Thanks for the referral anyway. The price was only $30 including tax, and it was spartan. I was able to negotiate $65 at the Holiday Inn across the street and with the view, weight room and pool, plus free internet and amenities it was a better choice for my short trip. On a limited budget, though, with a different room it could have been better.
BTW do you also post under this name on AC2 message board? If so, hats off to you. You probably are more of a monger than I.
Did not make it to Antigua, will probably go to Mens Club tonight or try a SW for 300Q.
Still think that Gte is on par with San Jose, Costa Rica. Different location, about the same prices and distance to the beaches, alot more variety of girls from Russian to locals.

I was in Guate last week and I have to told you that some information posted in this forum is not exact.
First of all: be careful. Guatemala is a very dangerous city. Some people say they feel secure because there are a lot of cops in the streets and private securities. Don't be so confident. Even cops are dangerous. There are a lot of peoples using guns in Guatemala and it's very common that gangs try to rob the guys with the guns (indeed, they try to rob their guns), so, when you see a young man with a gun, stay away, you can be caught in the middle of a shooting.
One night I was near the CAFESA where, it's true, there are some nice sw. As I was wondering around came a police patrol, told me to put my hands up. They search me everything and took me 500 Q from my pockets. (surely they knew I was in an uneasy situation and won't tell anything what happened). They told me it was a fine for trying to be with hookers. They ask me if I had weapons, (because they said someone had told them that I had one gun) and I think that If I didn't pay them the 500 Q probably they will accuse me for having guns or drugs or something like that. Be careful.
So I went back to my hotel without my money and without sex.
Next day I tried the newspapers and I called PUCHIS (which is the same of LA SIESTA). Prices are 300 q for one hour, but each aditional hour it's only 100, so I asked for a girl for 3 hours. They told me they had 15 in their agency and that they would come in a van with a lot of them.
It was not true. Only two came and were, one 3 and the other 4 or 5 in aspect. But I couldn't say no, because they came with their gigolo who stayed strategically between the place where I was and the hotel. I have to payed in advance.

Caprichos is not a place guys have to be afraid to go to ... matter of fact, it's one of the nicest around with some of the highest quality chicas ... even though the prices are higher than other clubs nearby.
My favorite now is a new one that just opened ... the Moulon Rouge ... near the Men's Club.

I agree, no one, but no one got booted from Caprichos just for refusing to pay a price; he had to be beligerant, rude, loud-mouthed, drunk, fighting, or just down right a jerk to get booted out of there. I agree with Ricker. Going down to Guate the week of Jan 5th, will have to check out the Moulan Rouge;

Also a brand new(er) club just opened, right behind Caprichos ... called GAROTAS. Walk out of Caprichos ... go left about 10 yards and take that first left on the main street ... one block down to the left is Garotas.
Some of my old amigos that have worked in other clubs are working here now (i.e. doormen, security, waiters, etc.).
Went in for a quick looksie and saw some talent.
I'll check it out again after XMAS ... I'm off to Colombia FOR 3 WEEKS!!!

excuse me if my late post lead to confusion to anyone. when i wrote it i was very angry to what had happened to me in guate.
then i spoke with my friend again (the one booted from caprichos). indeed he had drunk alcohol. he said he was not drunk but very happy, and perhaps he shouted out or made something else that made the others get angry.
besides you have to keep in mind one extra detail. my friend is an argentinian, and you know, first of all argentinians are not very loved for the people all over the world (and specially in centroamerica), and second argentinians are very expressive in their feelings (they speek loud, shout and are pulling each everybody's leg all the time).
but, be sure that i didn't exagerate any of the other things that happened to me.

Here's a nice list/break-down of Guatelmala City that has been compiled over the past years; I have gone here a few times over the years. Some of it may be a year or two old, but I hope it helps (in a concise manner):
Below is my list of monger places in Guatemala City. It should be noted that monger places change by the hour, day, season, and holidays, especially in Latin America. In GC, the names of the smaller places have changed, but not their address based on my earlier visits in mid-1980s and early 1990s. So, please note that this list is probably not 100 percent accurate today.
The monger places are mostly in Zone 9 and in nearby Zone 10. Zone 4 also has places that I recommend. I have visited places in other zones, but they are generally not worth the effort unless one has a lot of time on one's hands. Zone 1 can be dangerous, but I would chance it more than Panama City's Central Avenue near the old Ancon Inn and certain streets of downtown San Jose. I have not visited Zone 2 and others. Monger places used to advertise in the classified section of the Prensa Libre, a daily newspaper. But, in 2000 they stopped and a new weekly newspaper, with obvious fleshy photos and words like sexo on the front and back, came out with a few ads of monger places and escorts.
Prices and other data were for 1999 and 2000 when (Q = quetzal) Q7.25 = $1 in spring 1999 and went up to $7.7 = $1 in 2000. Beer price rose by three quetzales from 1999 to 2000. I heard that Guatemala now uses the US dollars as its currency, starting in 2001.
Other mongers in late 2000 and 2001 cited prices for girls in the better clubs at $40 for short-time, $80 for three hours take-out, and $150 for all night take-out. Price can vary from girl to girl, place to place, before 10pm versus closing time.

Street address. For example, the cross street is 13th Calle in the address, 5th Ave #13-69. An address of 12 Calle "A", 3-38, Zone 1 indicates that Calle A is a side street running parallel to 12th Calle.

Casablanca (formerly Obession), 2nd Ave #11-28, Zone 9, 2p - 1a, Q20/beer, 5 girls, Q260/30 minutes. A large clean casa with several waiting rooms. One room had an adjoining bathroom for showering (did I give myself away on what I did?).

"Hotel Residencia del Sol", 3 Calle 6-50, Zona 9, 502-360-4833, Fax: 360-4783, delsol@intelnet.net.gt In late 2000, a single room was US$46.00 plus about 20 percent. It did not have a security box for an individual guest.
Zone 4 hotel:
Conquistador Ramada Hotel, Via 5, 4-68, Zona 4, 502-331-222, www.cr.centramerica.com, ramadaconquirsv@gua.gbm.net This hotel is located in zone 4 and is about six blocks north of Residencia del Sol. The area is semi-commercial. Ramada also never responded to my e-mails. I phoned and it gave me its special Friday and Saturday rate of $50 plus about 20 percent. Then a week before I was to go to Guatemala City, Ramada telephoned me to say that it was overbooked. You can also called the Ramada 800 number to make a reservation, but the rate was higher. I do not know if it is guest-friendly.
Zone 1 hotel:
Apart-hotel Sanmari, 12th Calle A 3-38, 502-253-1474, www.auik.guate.com/alfonso, $33 including tax. Quoted $3 for use of the room safe, but I used it without paying. Easy to do, if you know how to set up the combination. The only real drawback with this second hotel was its location -- about 9pm-12pm, the corners on 4th Ave. are occupied with transvestites, who were not aggressive if one does not get close or approach them.

Just as a side note, I went to GC in January 2002 & stayed at the Inter-Continental hotel in zona 10. I thought it was great. I paid 90/ night (22% tax included) & I had girls coming to my room with no problem. It all depends on how they look upon enetering the hotel. Some women had to show ID, some didn't.
I think "Marujas" is way over priced and some of the women think they got the bomb. I would NEVER go back there, unless I'm desparate. I guess each girl charges differently. I'm going in March, and will try the phone # for the taxi mentioned in previous posts (Leonel).
Been to Josephine's and it's good BUT I don't like paying the admission AND when I went there a bunch of Military guys came in & busted balls. I managed to "slip away".
I prefer the street action. Prime time seems to be after 6 or 7 pm (based on previous posts) in zona 1. Yes, I'll stay away from the TV's.

Well I certainly Mongered last night. Started out at Le Club,which is directly behind the Ramada Hotel in Zona 4. If you are on 7 Avenida and see a Taco Bell you turn right coming from Zona 1 or left if your coming from Zona 10.
It was very good all leather seats many TV´s and girls. They wanted 500 Q for 45 minutes and 1500 for take out. Charged 35 Q for a beer.
Next went to Capricho´s, I agree this is a very good place. Had albino looking Russian women that they wanted 3000 Q for take out as opposed to 1500 Q for the Central American girls.
Then went to Garotas which is on the street right behind Capricho´s, very close, going back towards Zona 10. Did not find any ladies that interesting.
Next went to Paradise nightclub, a club near Plazuela Espana on 12 calle between 7 Avenida and 5th Avenida. Nice atmosphere but the girls were not great.
The last place I stopped was a club Near the Holiday Inn, called Queens on 1 avenida and 11 calle, its about 2 blocks from the Holiday Inn on Avenida 1, which is one way, so its better to walk it.
Picked up some 19 year old girl,very pretty and took her back to my hotel for 1000 Q, They only wanted 260 Q for a half hour on site which is great considering how nice the area around Zona 10 is.
I like the younger girls as opposed to the professional hookers who have been in the business a long time, usually avoid the ones like the beautiful Russian girls who are relentlessly being screwed because they are in such demand.

I visited Guatemala City three times last year on business with my boss and would like to share our experiences on one trip with the local hookers.
We stayed at the Intercontinental. My boss invited us up to the concierge floor and at some point in the evening he and his partner decided to get some hookers. The partner had a phone number which he called but didn't seem to get what he wanted. My boss indicated through sign language to the waiter what he was looking for. The guy was not much of a waiter but responded very quickly to this request. It was quickly communicated the ladies would be downstairs at the bar shortly.
We all went down to the bar and two reasonaball attractive women showed up. My boss and his partner attempted to make conversation for awhile, why I don't know. After some time my coworker and I got tired of the show and went to his room to try to get on the Internet. This was a major ordeal; several calls to the front desk didn't help. (Later trips the Internet worked fine.) Finally we gave up and I was leaving to go to my room.
Just at this time a woman shows up, apparently supplied for my coworker by the boss. She had an OK body but was a little sketchy looking. My coworker had a hot girlfriend at home and was always talking about his high standards, so he declined.
I got on the elevator with her and gave her $20 for her trouble. (I wondered later whether she was prepaid, but knowing my boss, I seriously doubt it.) I hoped that my boss would have been thinking of me also and hopefully a better-looking woman would show up at my room.
I waited about 15 minutes but no luck. I was really horniy, so I wnet downstairs and the sketchy hookier was still there, talking to the guys out front. I invited her up.
She said she needed $60 so I gave her another $40 and we did our business. I was probably overcharged, I'll admit, but I didn't feel like haggling.
So nobody at the Intercontinental seems to care if you bring hookers in, and if you ask the right guy he might be able to set you up.
We are going back this week and will probably try some of the places recommended, with reports to follw.

Becareful though, there's some sort of sickness going around. AND it can be dangerous. If u go out at night. Don't take a cab that's marked with the hotels name on it.
Was in G city a few days back. Did not feel like going to any of the clubs. Looked in the newspaper in classified section. Under Masaje (massage) section. More than one agency listed. All spoke Spanish only so I could not communicate. Finally one put me on hold and connected me to a mamasan who spoke English. Here are facts.
Her name is Linda and she is originally from Houndras. Her local cell number is 416-1821. It is answered by her MOST of the time but not always. So be patient. All her girls (28 of them) speak Spanish only. She will bring them to your hotel and pick them up. Hourly rate is 300 Q (about 40 US$) and if you keep the person for more than three hours you can negotiate. May be get one extra hour free. You should have your own protection.
I tried two on two different dates. Both were clean, charming and wanting to please. Language was a problem. Linda (mamasan) met me in the hotel lobby and had drinks with me and her girls til I said I liked the girl. Hotel Tikal Futura in G City is not girl friendly. First day girl had no ID and they insisted "no ID no guest" I bribed security guard and it was ok. Next night with another girl, I sent the girl with other busload tourist in the elevator and met her a minute later. No ID issue was raised.
If you want to negotiate with a girl you must speak Spanish. The second girl (Emily) gave me her cell number. It is 494-2884. She receives 50% from Linda, so you can pay Emily 200 Q per hour and both of you are ahead.

Here's a report about a somewhat suicidal mission in Zona 1 of Guatemala city.
I noticed a remark in an old backpacker guide that "there is a red light district around the old train station in Zona 1". I stayed in Hotel San Martin (7 US$, 16 C 7-65) and scouted the area. The area definitely has to be rated "not safe".
Nearby 18 Calle is lively enough to walk with some degree of confidence, and there's a good range of restaurants on 18 C between 7 and 9 Av.
After an early dinner I proceeded to walk the area between 16/18 Calle and 7/10 Avenida.
Found a row of several nightclubs on 16 C between 9 and 10 Av.
Walked into one, named "Las Vegas", that had an armed guard at the door.
What a sad show!!
Local lower-class men, slowly and silently drinking their beers, outnumbering girls by ten to one.
For a lady drink (20 Q/3 US$) you get the privilege of sitting next
to a girl, chatting and touching her a little bit.
To take her out, bar fine is a ridiculously high 700 Q/100 US$ for girls that certainly appeared like they are good in bed, but looks were 4-6 at maximum.
I left after two beers and one lady drink. It was 9 pm.
The I found some street walkers on 16 C on the block just north of 9 Av. Asking price was 75 Q/10 US$. Ended up paying slightly more for a nice session including BJ and teaching her the term "69" which she had never heard of (well, to preserve my health I just fingered her, but her pussy looked nice and clean).
Hotel San Martin is safe but not guest-friendly, but there are several short-time hotels for 15 Q on the same block.

Just got back from Guatemala City. Was there for 4 nights,
and spent time at one place...in particular, Paraidse.
It is still located in Zona 9, but had moved from its previous address. It is located at #6-15 on Calle 12 in Zone 9. Between Avenida 6 and Avenida 7.
Found out 10-11 girls live in the house...it's very large, and others come in the evening from their homes, and return at closing. All total 15-20 are present to select from.
Had a sweet girl named Olga, from guatemala. Great personality,
very accomadating, and a real joy.

Back in Guatemala City for 48 hours. Tonight I plan to check out the recommendation from Eric7. Yesterday I felt compelled to stop by Club Oasis. It is kind of a dump, a few blocks past Chilis on Reforma. There is one woman there, Flor de Maria, who must be in her 30s and looks a little worn out, but she gives an awesome BBBJ CIM. If any one heading to Guatemala, please don't go to Samba Club or Samba Lux they have some serious problems with justice. The owner is accused to be the head guy of a kidnapping red or something like that.
I enjoyed Paradise, but my favorite clubs were Le Club in Z4 and Moulin Rouge in Z9. I spent time with 11 ladies in 5 days and took lots of photos for long lasting memories.

No problem at all with getting photos of the ladies once in the room.
Once they wanted to keep my camera up front at Platinum, but another time I got in without them finding. I have a very small and thin camera which is harder to find. Every nightclub gave me a very good patdown and it was found about 20% of the time, but only Platinum of the 18 places wanted to hold it.

Our trip to Guatemala City finally happened.
We walked around Zona Viva a bit after dinner and went by a couple bars. Valerie at Shakespeare's Pub was happy to give us a bit of local orientation but nothing really I didn't know from visiting here. She mentioned a Canadian friend of hers who owns Cheers, which I think is the Sean mentioned here previously. There seem to be a number of expat bar owners who are good for local information.
We got a cab to Paradise, based on recommendations here. Valerie mentioned Queens as being a cheap place but I didn't want to economize. Like probably everyplace else Paradise was dead on a Monday night so there were many girls to choose from. I took my time, while my coworker latched on to a very dirty girl right away. (Sorry I don't remember names here.)
I picked out a nice looking and slightly chunky woman (the way I like 'em, to tell you the truth) and we got busy. I had a great GFE without asking for it or paying anything extra- we paid 300Q, less than $40.
After we finished we asked to take a girl back to the hotel for our boss. We wanted two, one for his partner also, but we didn't have enough cash, and they wanted it all upfront. We settled on one for our boss, two hours back at the hotel for about $140.
Back at the Intercontinental they wouldn't let her upstairs. Now, I said in an earlier post they didn't seem to mind hookers, but those were obtained through Intercontinental employees. Obviously there is a racket here. My coworker went in a taxi with the girl to get her ID and I don't know how that panned out, since this is just after the fact.

I was in Guatemal for a month visiting family. I was in a town called coban. There is a place called Titanic it is close to the cementery. Had made friends with the door men and ended up with the dancers for free in their apartments. Some do have apartments others sleep in the ols club across the street that the owner has. Those prices can be found in zone 1 but its very dangerous. They also can be found off Roosevelt (zone 11)on the side streets about a kilometer past the turn off to the airport on the left hand side of roosevelt heading to Antigua. Again dangerous. If your not chapin (or packin and there is a good chance you will have to use it)not a wize place to be. Stick to the clubs in zone 10 and 9 IMHO.

It is down the street 2 blocks or so from the Princess hotel. If you walk out of the Princess, go right. Cross over to the other side of the street. Cross the next street (should be a bookstore and restaurant white buiding on your left). On the corner of the next block (or 1 more) is the Oasis. Is essentially a house, with a little white/blue sign up above. Have to go inside the little wall and knock on the door...that is Oasis..doesn't really open until evening...usually only 4 chicks or so in there..
What the f@#$ is up with caprichos? I went there and hooked up with a nice chica (19 yo, morena clara - Maria Celeste) but the prices quoted were 600Q for 30 mins and 1000Q!!! for one hour. Here's a nice list/break-down of Guatelmala City that has been compiled over the past years; I have gone here a few times over the years. Some of it may be a year or two old, but I hope it helps (in a concise manner):
Below is my list of monger places in Guatemala City. It should be noted that monger places change by the hour, day, season, and holidays, especially in Latin America. In GC, the names of the smaller places have changed, but not their address based on my earlier visits in mid-1980s and early 1990s. So, please note that this list is probably not 100 percent accurate today.
The monger places are mostly in Zone 9 and in nearby Zone 10. Zone 4 also has places that I recommend. I have visited places in other zones, but they are generally not worth the effort unless one has a lot of time on one's hands. Zone 1 can be dangerous, but I would chance it more than Panama City's Central Avenue near the old Ancon Inn and certain streets of downtown San Jose. I have not visited Zone 2 and others. Monger places used to advertise in the classified section of the Prensa Libre, a daily newspaper. But, in 2000 they stopped and a new weekly newspaper, with obvious fleshy photos and words like sexo on the front and back, came out with a few ads of monger places and escorts.
Prices and other data were for 1999 and 2000 when (Q = quetzal) Q7.25 = $1 in spring 1999 and went up to $7.7 = $1 in 2000. Beer price rose by three quetzales from 1999 to 2000. I heard that Guatemala now uses the US dollars as its currency, starting in 2001.
Other mongers in late 2000 and 2001 cited prices for girls in the better clubs at $40 for short-time, $80 for three hours take-out, and $150 for all night take-out. Price can vary from girl to girl, place to place, before 10pm versus closing time.

Went to a favorite hangout of mine in Guat City: Paradise Club. Zona 9.
Recommend Karin. Guatemalan, speaks english, having lived in Houston. 5'6" with big boobs. Big! Very accomodating. $35-$40 for 45 minutes, mas o minus.
Had selection of approx 25 girls. Some stunners among them. Nude dancers perform after 11pm. It's a $5 taxi ride from Zona 10.

So I went to the Men's Club in Zona 9. No cover, beer for Q25 ($3.25), about 30 chicas, of which I found six of interest.
I took a Honduran girl in back for Q320 ($41.60). I was surprised that the room was decent, with a huge round bed and mirrored ceiling.
Silvana promised lots of kissing when we were outside, but only gave two pecks inside. CBJ was average, then cowgirl, doggie, and mish. I was satisfied, but not thrilled. A nice value for a reasonable cost.
At these prices, I will be able to experiment once a week or so until i find a favorite.

That pissed me off. So I wanted to get all the prices clear before I paid the entrance fee. I was quoted an additional Q35 for a beer, Q70 for a chica drink, and Q700 ($92) to go in the back with a chica.
I really doubt if those are the regular prices. I think they took me for a stupid gringo and decided to jack everything up.
So, they got to see the back of this gringo's head. I turned around and walked over to Extacis, just around the corner and two blocks down.

My 2 cents. Don't know why anyone would want to hangout for 4 days or so, in Zona 1. Personally, I prefer Zona 10. Yes it's a tourist zone, but has numerous hotels/apartments to select from. Many cafes and restaurants. Upscale places as well. A 5 minute walk to a new multi-level mall, located next to (god-forbid, a Hooters restaurnat). But hot chicas that work there.
Many of the massage places/saunas are in fact in the Zona 1 area, but I wouldn't particularly care to stay there.
Also, the local newspaper has columns of escorts advertised, with fone numbers. It's in the yellow section 1/2 way in the paper. I have used this method many times when I didn't feel like going out. They come to the hotel.
Ex-pats hang out at Shakespear's Pub, across the street from Hol Inn.
Also around the corner from the H.I. is a bar called Cheers..owed by a canadian guy. Shakespear's is operated by an american girl, and has been there for about 25 years. 4 blocks down the street from the InterContinental Hotel is a bar called Los Estables...German guy owns that, and is a great place to chill out with great drinks and music. Upscale bar mostly for locals. Not a mongering hang-out.
Zona 4 has picked up tremendously in recent years, and is THE PLACE to hang out on a fri/sat night. Like a mini Bourbon street. Bar after bar with rock music, salsa, you name it. Elbow to elbow sometimes and cheaper priced drinks than that of Zona 10. Someone told me, this is what Zona 10 was like many years back. Taking a cab to Zona 4 from Z10 is still only around $5-$6.
Forget shopping for american style clothes. No particular deals as far as I am concerned. Quality clotthes from outlets and discount stores in the States are a better deal. Now if you like Che T-Shirts, you can find an abundence there!!
They have a tourist Mag in English, that you can find in some hotels and bars/rest. It's called Revue Magazine. Great great stuff in it. Hotels and rest. real estate, etc...throughout the country. They have the magazine on-line. the website is:

Most people that go to Guatemala for a while, only spend a couple of days in G.C. and then head off to Antigua or Lago de Atitlan...Panajachel.

The crime situation *Has Not* improved, in fact I'll say it's spinning out of control. The crime problem is all gang related and most homicides are rival gangs killing each other. Tourist being robbed is not common down here unless you decide to go site seeing in Zona 1 at night. Let me describe zona 1, when the sun goes down everyone shuts down and it's like a ghost town. When driving through Z.1 most people places their firearms in their laps including me. Crack heads, glue-sniffers and the homeless own the streets at night so IMO be careful. Zone 10 as eric7 stated is cool and you can have a really go time, theres even 2 Hooters here.
Dental work is very inexpensive here as well medicine (pennies to the dollar). Lasik eye surgery is also popular and that runs about $300.00, which I'm seriously considering having done.
Land/Business Ownership: You can buy land, own businesses on a tourist visa, something I have been doing since 94'. There are many loopholes so there is no problem in buying something (all legal).
Antiquities: Yes there are laws pertaining to antiquities and their pretty tough if you get caught trying to remove them from Guatemala. The locals find all kinds of antiquities and they don't no what to do with them. I have an interest in this also.

Re Zona 4.....too maany places to mention. It consists of about a 1 or 2 block radius, all next to eachother. All different in there own way.
I would not suggest one place over another. Part of the fun is exploring, and sticking your head in one place, have a drink and mnove on if you don't like what you see.
See which place the crowd is hanging out at, or follow the music that enchants you. All part of the experience while you are there.
You'll love it, and the weather is perfect year round

Sorry for not posting a reply sooner but as you know a hurricane past through here last week and has left many, many dead. Complete villages were wiped away and buried under 10-20 feet of mud. It's far worse than CNN is reporting. I had been without lights, water, telephone for the last 6 days (until yesterday). If you can Wanderlust it might be wise to re-book your flight for a later date or change locations. The Central American highway was serverly damaged and there is only one lane open from Guatemala City to Xela. The south coast was destroyed and the U.S military is here with some Black Hawks saving many people. It's a real mess but if you decide to come I have pleanty of beer and the ***** house are "Open"

Things are are fine here in Guate. The Carreterra El Salvador was closed for a day due to a mudslide, but is open now. We had gas lines for a few days during the hurricane, but no lines today.
There was an earthquake Friday, 5.0 on the Richter scale. I didn't really feel anything. Some say it means a bigger one is soon to come, but I am no scientist, so I don't know.
In the meantime, I am pleased to see that activity on this board is picking up. I have several reports I hope to get filed soon.

I tried Casablanca on afternoon in August, on a holiday. It was the only place open at the time. An overweight middle-aged woman answered the door and was very agressive. The one thing I can say in her favor is that her English wsn't bad.

I had a decent experience here in August, so I thought I would give it another try.

I found Dalia at Caprichos, the second most expensive club in Guatemala City. 600 Q for a half an hour, which comes to $78.
She seemed pretty shy, as I noticed her sitting on the back edge of the stage. I thought she looked really hot with long dark hair. I could tell that she was lean and toned, and when she stretched out it became apparent that she also had great legs.

He makes regular runs throughout Latin America and Eastern Europe, promising chicas that the money and conditions are better in Guatemala, then buses or flies them in. Of course, they need to pay back the fare out of their future earnings.
Once here, he owns several houses for them to live in, within walking distance of the club. I have been there a few times now, and they are not horribly run down, but nothing special either.
The chicas pay him $200 for room and board, which covers board and room. The cook is very rigid on the timing of the meals, and once Dalia has eaten dinner at 5 PM, there is nothing more until breakfast comes 16 hours later, at 11 AM the next day.
Since the girls work late, and sleep late, breakfast comes late. But since tiny Dalia eats very little at time, she needs to eat often, and 16 hours is pure hell for her.
The girls often come and the girls go, so at any given time there is anywhere from five to eight persons to share one television and two bathrooms. Multiply that times $200, and you can see that the boss has a nice little extra "profit center," in addition to his club.
The girls' every move is watched over by the "supra jefe" who lives with them, and doubles as security at the club. He decides when they can come and go. Dalia says that she has to pay him whenever she wants to leave to see me, so that he won't tell the owner.
Thus, Dalia doesn't like her work.
And she is bored out of her mind when she is not working.
Her life basically sucks.
So it is incredibly inviting to for her to have a nice place to get away and play for a day. She knows that it will be topped off by a chance to call home, and a good meal, and a present or two.
In fact she always takes home leftovers for the next day, so that she doesn't have to eat the meals there. When I cooked for her, she was thrilled, and took enough home to feed a moose.
She said that she planned to share it with the other girls. My guess is the plan was to make them envious.
By having a "boyfriend" to go see, it raises her status in the eyes of the others. She gets to come back to tell them all that she did and what a great boyfriend she has.
I doubt if she tells them that she comes here for free, but I don't know.

Got back in the game and found myself in Zona 4.
When I spotted the Conquistador Hotel I knew I was close to Oro Solido, so I stopped on in. The back door faces Avenida 6a, enter from the other side.

I haven't been in Oro Solido in probably five years, but your description sure sounds different from days of old. Used to be there were 30+ girls working in Oro Solido on any given night. The club must seem incredibly empty with only 12 girls.

Bad attitude.
A had a very strange night last night.
I went back to Cats, which has many top notch chicas for $52 on premises.
They didn't charge me a Q 35 cover charge like last time, so I guess I passed as a local. Maybe because I drove up, instead of arriving in a taxi.

2 - The pricing seems pretty high. $40-50 for 30 mins? I'm used to being able to walk out with at least a 7.5 for TLN for that amount in several areas of Colombia, Brasil, Peru, DR, etc. Why so high in GUA, esp. for an hour or less? What am I missing here?
3 - Are there places where the middle class locals go for mongering? If so, please name and locate.
4 - What are the typical TLN rates there?
5 - Are the local regular (non-pros) chicas in the weekend nightclubs pretty receptive (easy to score) to gringos? I speak decent Spanish, so communication is not an issue.
6 - How are things during New Year's Eve? Any mongering to be done, or everything pretty closed down?

1-No specific names of discos. Places to go to would be "Grados Cuatros" (check the spelling) or basically in Zona 4. It's a 2 block strip of bar after bar, after eatery, tapas places..really awsome. Wall to wall on Fri/Sat nights. Bars have an open air entrance where it's completely open the width of the front , thusly you hear and see the people inside. Music of all styles. Jazz, rock, salsa, etc...some live as well. Cobblestone streets with palces lined on both sides. Max. security around, so no riff-raff about.
Lots and lots of professional chicas (white-collar type!) and students abound.
They like conversing w/gringos. Had a local bartender in Zona 10 tell me "this is what Zona 10 USED to be like. Wall to wall people and cheap drinks." And it's true...worth going to if you are there fri or sat nite...dead other nites of the week.
Zona 10, is the "tourist" zone, and prices reflect that. But you have choices to got to...there is an Italian Rest. right around the corner from the InterContinental Hotel. Lively bar inside with local yuppies.
Also an ex-pat bar called "Shakespeare's" caddy-corner from the Holiday Inn.
Nice locals and some english speaking people, but not a true pick-up joint. I have had luck however on some nights, as the place can get packed, or stay empty, for no rhyme or reason.
Lastly, a long-time favorite and really a cool place is "El Estable" owned by a couple of german guys, who have been in Guat City for 25 years. Lots of upscale locals and business types, but very laid-back. Hot chicks, who are locals also show up. Down the street from I.C. Hotel. All these places are w/in 10-15 minutes walking of eachother.
2-Going prices are in fact $38-$40/$45 for usually 45 minutes for the most part, at the clubs that are mentioned over the past 3 or 4 pages. That's just the way it is, in the areas of Zona 10, 9, thru 4 . In Zona 1 you'll find lower prices, but a more dangerous area. However, the prices are right and many places to select from. I have never played in that area.
You have to keep in mind, Guat City is the largest city in Central America, and has money, as is evident by the high sky-rises, and in the cost of Condos in Zona 10 & surrounding areas. Also, I see a ton of mercedes, BMW's, porches around town. Lot's of suits and white shirts walking all around the place in the afternoon.
I will mention that the local newspaper has about 3 huge columns of escort/massage services. Many to choose from. I have taken that avenue and the normal price is $40-$45/hr dropped off at your hotel.
Always, the lower prices are in Zona 1, or perhaps other surrounding cities in the vicinity. But in Guat City, these are pretty much the prices I've seen.

Along with websites to all these places. It also lists the same thing for all other locations throughout the country, incld. Antigua, Lake Atitlan, Tikal etc.

Well, I went to Guatemala ostensibly to do some aid work near Antigua and Panajachel. Very interesting and rewarding in and of itself. Once I made it back to Guatemala City to fly out, I got stuck there on account of Hurricane Wilma. Being a single guy travelling alone, and finally having some time to myself, what did I do? Why I sampled the local cuisine, of course! The restaurants ain't too bad either, by the way.

When you return back to Guatemala after the first of the year, could you do some recon work for us guys? That is in addition to the "Hunt for the Elusive Yani la Colombiana" at both Cats and Baron Rojo. Leo Linger wrote an excellent report on 12/9 about a little casa de cita he stumbled across only a couple of blocks west and south of the "Eiffel Tower". I have been to Cd. Guatemala a billion times and still don't know what that horrific monstrosity is really called! The cute little spinner in his report at the casa was well worth an hour of one's time. I love these dumpy little "budget" casas. It is much more fun to spend $25 bucks for an hour in bed talking, fucking, laughing, and visiting and getting to know a girl, than it is to drop a hundred over at Caprichos for nothing more than drinks.
Would you find the place that Leo Linger is reporting on and give us better directions? Location, signs on the building, caliber of girls, fee structure, hours, etc. How about details on a couple of other Wal-Mart equivalent casas in the downtown?

I didn't see anything advertised in Zona 9 or 4, amost all were in Zona 1.
However, I am definitely inspired to explore this avenue when I return. I will let you know what I learn.

Stopped overnight in QC on my way to Xela. Tried to find some of the places mentioned in past posts with no luck. I was staying in zona 1 and you really don't want to wander around at night.
The next day I bought a copy of Prensa Libre and checked the listings for massages (masajes). Some listings are outcalls only, but many had both tel and address. There were a bunch in zona 1 so I walked around to check a few out.
The ones that I saw were very pleasant - appeared clean and the girls were in their 20's. prices varied, but ranged from Q130 for a half hour to Q200 for an hour). I imagine you dould do better. I ended up with Carmen for an hour for Q180 ($23). She was late 20's, pleasant, very clean, very affectionate and very accomadating. Very positive experience. I plan to go back on my return.
If your spanish is ok you can call and get prices. If your spanish is as bad as mine you need to go to the place and negotiate in person. Just ring the bell or knock on the door. These places all look like normal residences. Good luck.

I am in Guatemala City for 3 days on my 30 day sex tour of Central America. I am visiting all 7 CA countries and plan to monger in each one. Last night was Guatemala City's turn. It turned out quite differently from what I had hoped, but I'm not complaining.
I had read this forum thoroughly before starting out, and the clubs that looked like they would be most to my liking were Venus and Exstasis. I made a big mistake in not writing down the addresses, because when I got in the taxi, the cabbie had not heard of either of them. I told him I was looking for chicas, so he took me to Club Elite, saying it was the best in the city. It turned out to be a glitzy Vegas style night club. When I entered they told me the cover was US$25, which included all I could drink. Since I wasn't there to drink, this didn't mean that much to me; had I been thinking wth the right head I would have turned around and walked out. Instead I said what the fuck and paid and went in. I stood and surveyed the room for a while. The chicas were reasonably attractive, but none outstanding, and no head turners. Some of the chicas up dancing were actually fat. One chica came over and I sent her away. I finally summoned one to my liking, and we got down to business right away. She said she wanted US$400 for an hour, then came down to US$300. I sent her away. It gradually dawned on me that this was a very expensive place; no wonder I have never seen it mentioned here.
I next sat with a very attractive Chica named Maria Fernanda. I thought I might wangle her down to a reasonable price, so I foolishly agreed to a $17 chica drink. Some time later, when we were still negotiating, one of the managers made it clear to me that it was a house rule that if we went with a chica we had to buy her a half bottle of Chivas Regal for US$250. In addition, the room is $50, and the chica wanted $300, so the total would have been US$600! And no, I was not mistaking quetzals for dollars; they made it quite clear they meant dollars. So I left, having spent $42 for just a gin and tonic and the chance to stroke the inside of Maria Fernanda's thigh for a few minutes. Avoid this place at all costs.
So I got another taxi. This driver recommended Night Club Platinum. He said Venus was too dangerous. I suspected he would be getting a kickback, but I didn't see any money change hands. Platinum was an entirely different kind of place, more downscale, less glitzy, but the chicas were just as attractive as Club Elite. I settled on a 20 year old Honduran spinner named Jessica. She wanted Q600 for a half hour and Q1200 for an hour. She wouldn't budge from this. I know that this is much, much more than mongers have reported paying, but I didn't want to go to yet another place. Besides, she had agreed to all my sexual requests, and I found her attractive. The room was not bad at all, and she was outstanding: DFK, DATY, BBBJ, CFS. Best sexual encounter I have had in recent memory. I think I'll go back tonight.

I've lived throughout CA and ES is the best. The Chapines are secretive and scared; the Catrachas are lazy; the Ticas are confused and it all goes back to the unresolved war; the Ticas are snotty and think their "kitty-cats" don't stink. The "Guanacas", on the other hand, are generally open, honest, hard-working, innovative, grateful and deserving.
EXAMPLE: Years ago my dad came down w/ some state politicians, one of whom wanted to go to a cathouse, so I took him, and he fell "in lust" w/ one at a now defunct place. So, I negotiated cuz he wanted her back at his expensive hotel. We had to pay prior to pulling her, however. He gets to the hotel and security won't let her in and runs her off, so he goes dejectedly to his room figuring she's got a great excuse to skip w/ the bucks. A few minutes later, he hears a tapping at his door. She's found a back way up to keep her end of the deal. Typical. BTW, he missed the outbound flight in the AM cuz she had him deep inside her when the airline shuttle left him!!

Followup on my previous report. The next night I went back to Platinum and requested Jessica. She was available and we went back to a different room for an hour. One final observation on Guatemala City: the cabbies in GC are absolutely the dumbest I have ever seen--anywhere! I could understand--maybe--their not knowing where some mongering spots are, given that most of the customers appear to be Guatemaltecos and presumably drive their own cars. But one cabbie who picked me up at Platinum had never heard of the Holiday Inn! I just told him 'zona diez' so he would drive in the right general direction, thinking I might find a landmark. Eventually I saw the Holiday Inn's neon sign towering on the horizon and pointed it out to him. I also had two that couldn't find well known restaurants in zone 10. It's a good idea, if you are going somewhere in a taxi, to have the address with you. However, none of the mongering spots mentioned in this forum are in the phone book, for whatever reason, so you'd best get the address from ISG.

I was in Guate until last week. I spent 2 weeks there and had a trusted family member (cousin) as my mongering guide and comrade. This is my second extended stay in the capital and I am fluent in Spanish wich helps lots. We went to a couple of regular clubs first. Bora Bora is a cool almost outdoor type place with a live band and lots of cute girls but the more happening place is Alfred Hitchcock's. Lots of hot Guatemalan babes in their 20’s and 30’s (same as us). If you are looking for a legit girl to try and hook up with, I would recommend both.
We ended the night at Le Club International or "Le Club" as everybody calls it. Apparently this is the best and classiest chica club in Guate City. This is what I was told, not personal experience. This will be a summary of my recent month long mongering trip through all 7 Central American countries. I plan to post this report on the forums of all of these countries: Belize, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Panama. As some of you know, I have alraedy posted several reports for each of the individual countries, some lengthy, some sketchy because there wasn't much to report. The responses to my reports were overwhelmingly positive, and I want to thank all the guys right now who posted positive responses on the threads and who sent me PMs. I got at least 10 PMs, all of them supportive, and I am grateful for these. A small number of negative responses were posted, all of them on the Honduras and Nicaragua forums. This was probably because I was less than enthusiastic about these countries, and some mongers apparently felt that I had insulted their favorite haunts. Now I am not an especially thin-skinned guy and can take my lumps, but I thought these few responses were surprisingly vicious. The posters seemed to feel the need to attack me personally. They seem to have no conception of the fact that reasonable people can have differing opinions on the same subject and still be civil to each other. I made it quite clear in each of my posts that it was my first time in CA and that I was taking this mongering trip largely out of curiosity to see how the mongering situation was in some countries I had never been to before. I made it clear, and want to make it clear now, that my reports are not intended for the veteran CA monger but for those, like myself, who are veteran mongers but who are new to this area, or at least some of the countries, and to this extent they may be helpful to some. If that isn't the case, well you can always ignore it and move on. But the negative posters just couldn't grasp this. They couldn't grasp why someone who is in a city for the first time might prefer to pay $55 to an escort service to have a chica come directly to his room for some excellent sex, rather than attempt to guide a brain dead taxi driver through the slums of Managua to find a hole in the wall massage parlor where he can get laid for $10. They seem to be unable to grasp that my time and my convenience are worth money too. These doofuses seem to exemplify Oscar Wilde's definition of a cynic as someone who knows the price of everything but the value of nothing. But I guess some people will always be terminally stupid.
Anyway, on to mongering. First I want to make a few observations about visiting CA, based on my trips through these 7 countries, that some might find helpful:
1) With the exception of Costa Rica, the taxi drivers in CA seem NEVER to have change--NEVER. So you will be well advised, early in your stay in a country, to stock up on the country's smallest paper currency unit.
2) The taxi drivers in Guatemala City and Managua are the dumbest in the world--and I've been all over the world. In GC, always have the address written down. In Managua you can't even do this, because there aren't any addresses! By contrast, the San Jose taxi drivers seem smart and helpful.
3) Even top of the line hotels may not have all the amenities you might expect. For example, I didn't once see an English langauage newspaper in the 6 Spanish speaking countries; I guess they've never heard of the International Herald Tribune. This is surprising, because it can be found all over South America. What is even more surprising is that it is often hard to find newspapers even in Spanish; the Holiday Inn in Guatemala City had no newspapers at all. Similarly, if you need toothpaste or deodorant, don't expect your hotel to have it; you'll probably have to go to a tienda.
4) You will need to have some knowledge of Spanish--period. This is especially true in El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua.
5) I found Central Americans to be exceptionally warm, friendly, and helpful during my trip. I even had the manager of a Guatemala City restaurant drive me back to my hotel when I couldn't find a taxi. I didn't meet a single nasty person. But read on.
6) In all of these countries, watch your back. Your physical safety comes first. If you don't know an area, don't assume it's safe. Take a taxi from door to door, even for short distances. Take only official taxis, and except in Managua, don't get in a taxi if another passenger is in it. (In Managua, taxis are routinely shared.)
Now on to my comparative country ratings. In evaluating the countries comparatively, I took the following factors into consideration: the ease of getting pussy; the quality of the girls, i.e., physical attractiveness, without considering their expertise; the quality of the sexual experience, which means the sexual skills of the girls, physical attractiveness aside; and price. For the record, I had sex in all 7 countries, 11 girls, 14 encounters (3 of them repeats, obviously). I'll make comments on each of these factors for each country, and then I'll give each country a rating from 1 through 10. What am I using as my paradigms? Well, I'm a veteran Rio de Janeiro monger, and to me Rio is the pussy capital of the world, so Rio would get a 10: easily available sex, beautiful girls who are highly skilled sexually, and reasonable prices (although Rio has gotten more expensive lately). Bangkok would get a 9.75, only because Thai girls are not always good kissers. As for a 1, I've never experienced a 1, but it would be something like what I imagine a conservative Moslem country to be: a place where getting laid is difficult or impossible, and might even be dangerous. So those are the parameters, and herewith the individual country summaries.
BELIZE: There is only one reliable place to get laid in Belize, which is Raul's Rose Garden near the Belize City airport. An hour with a bored chica or Belizean girl resulting in lackluster sex will cost about US$75. A few posters say they have gotten connections to girls from taxi drivers, but I had no luck with this. OVERALL RATING: 2.
GUATEMALA: Guatemala City has the highest concentration of quality chicas in all of CA, approaching but not equaling the termas in Rio. They are also very skilled sexually and I had them do everything I asked. However, it is also the most expensive. In the two best clubs, the rates are US$78 for 1/2 hour and US$156 for an hour, fixed by the club, not negotiable. There are cheaper places, but the quality of girls is nowhere near as high. Avoid the Club Elite; it's a ripoff for people on expense accounts and gullible tourists. OVERALL RATING: 8
EL SALVADOR: This country is CA's hidden gem. Pussy is readily available, All the girls I was with are quite skilled sexually, and DFK/BBBJ/DATY/CFS seem to be the norm. CIM was no problem. And it's incredibly cheap! There is a slight variation in the prices at the clubs, but the average is about US$25 for 1/2 hour and US$40 for an hour. So what's the drawback? Simple: the quality of the girls is not high. There are some attractive honeys available if you look, but the majority of the girls in the houses are skanks, and some are outright pigs. But as I said, the good ones are there if you look--really look. On the San Salvador thread, Cpteasy's posts are quite informative. OVERALL RATING: 8.5
HONDURAS: A wretched country; if Honduras has any redeeming qualities, I didn't see any. Don't come here for mongering. If you must come here, I suppose you can find something. You'll probably fare better in San Pedro Sula than Tegucigalpa. On the SPS thread, Ford's posts are pretty good. As for Tegucigalpa, forget it. It's easier to get laid in North Korea than Tegucigalpa. (If you think I'm exaggerating, I'm not: read my post from the North Korea forum: http://www.internationalsexguide.info/forum/showpost.php?p=400531&postcount=44.) All I could manage to get was a hand job. As far as I could tell from the Tegucigalpa thread, that's all that anyone got. I read every single post on this thread and didn't find a single person who got laid or even got a blow job. OVERALL RATING: 1.5
NICARAGUA: Not quite as wretched as Honduras, but close. At least Leon is interesting as a tourist attraction, and I have heard Granada is too. Managua is a chaotic city where the streets don't even have names. Your best bet for mongering is to call an escort service in the Yellow Pages and hope for the best. I had good results from Bellamaris; cost US$55. OVERALL RATING: 4
COSTA RICA: Costa Rica, especially San Jose, is one of the best documented forums on this website, so I don't need to say a lot. Pussy is readily available, all over the place actually. The girls are uniformly good in bed, DFK/BBBJ/DATY/CFS the norm. Prices are reasonable; I never paid more than US$60 for an hour. Quality of girls overall is so so. There are some very attractive ones available, but a large number of skanks as well. Your best bet for finding quality chicas is the Sportsmens Lodge. What keeps me from giving CR a 10 is the fact that San Jose just isn't a very interesting city, so there's not much to do but monger. The tourist attractions lie elsewhere in the country. But pussy seems readily available, and I assume that what I paid was representative. But my rating will have to be tentative because of my limited mongering there, so I am basing it largely on other mongers reports as well as my own experience. OVERALL RATING: 7

I've been to both the Del Rey in San Jose and LDV in Cartegena. I would say that Guatemala is to those two places as a mosquito is to an eagle.
But you might be able to find a honeybee or two here...
Guate is not cheap by any means. Normal price scales at the places where I've hung out, all quoted for 30 minutes:
Platino's, Le Club, and Capricho's 600 Q
Oro Solido 500 Q
Cats and Paradiso 400 Q (Cats adds a mandatory 10 Q for a condom)
Men's Club, Venus, Extasis 300 Q
Multiply each 100 Q times $13.
The prices typically double for a full hour, as there is rarely a volume discount. It is much better to engage a girl for 1/2 hour, and then tip 20 Q to the little old lady who runs the rooms.
Do this BEFORE you begin your session, while asking the mamasita for "un poco mas tiempo, por favor."
I haven't had one of those warning knocks at the door since I started doing this.

You will find the higher class SW in Zona 9 around 12 Calle and 6 Avenida. Watch out though, the majority of them are TVs.
Cheaper SWs can be found trolling Zona 1. You definitely need to address safety issues in that part of town at night.
Do NOT ever bother stepping into Elite in Zona 10. In addition to a $25 cover charge, the girls want $150 for 1/2 hour on premises. It's a total clip joint.

This has always been my experience when trying to find these cheap places, both inside and outside the city.
First, you spend hours trying to find some place because no one leaves decent addresses or directions on the board.

But on the whole Guatelmaltecos are kind, generous, honest, and good people, who are willing to take extra time to try to help you.

I finally got specific directions from a fellow monger for "La Linea," so called because it is a long row of working girls alongside a railroad line:

Don't bother going to Oro Solido. The chicas are not worth 500 Q.
The three high end clubs worth going to are Platino's, Le Club, and Capricho's. The going rate is 600 Q at all of them.
All have quality talent, and it seemed to me that they took turns being on top.
Platino's seemd to specialize in spinners, if you like that type of girl.
Le Club specializes in pushing over priced drinks and chica drinks every 25 minutes. It certainly has many hotties, but they act surprised if you actually ask for servicio.

The locals will warn you not to go into Zona 2, and probably not to go into Zona 1, either.
Certainly, shit can and does happen. But it rarely does, and it never happened to me while I lived in Guatemala for a year. Except for a couple times when the policia shook me down for a bribe by threatening to send me to "Yale."
And even they were extremely polite as they extorted me.
I have found that all around the world the locals will forever remember a murder that happened somewhere eight or ten years ago and vow never to go to that particular neighborhood ever again. In the meantime millions of people have come and gone on a daily basis without incident, including yours truly.
So you should take the warnings with a heavy grain of salt. I fully expect that you will be fine here, and that you will have a great time!

Does anybody knows a place called MEDITERRANEO in zona 9? I´ve heard the place is a kind of "after party" for prostitutes. A lot of 7-9 chicas goes after 1:00 AM looking for drinks, but I've never been in that place.
