I completetly disagree about Panama been dangerous, come on guys do a little bite of research before you post shit like that, like any other city in the world there places within the city that you have to be careful, but overall Panama to me is safer than any other major city in Latin America.

You might not realize this but panama has a treaty with the U.S. Panama's military now is the U.S. military, nothing is going to happen in Panama without the gringos knowing about it.

About the police, about 3 month ago they arrested and fired quite a few cops for corruption and the report that I read in the newspaper said that it was a ongoing investigation to rude out the bad apple in the police force. I know this because I have family in la Guardia Nacional.

Things are not perfect but come on guys. The pussy business is booming in the ithmus so enjoy. We have Colombianas, Ticas, Brazilian, Argentinians, Dominicanas, and the list goes on.

Indeed, anyone who calls Panama unsafe is an idiot.

I am an American living here for about 2 years and think it is 1000% safer here than any city in the US. As far as women are concerned, Panama City is it. For the most part, the pretty girls are Colombians.

Hola otter,

Come on down its increadable here in panama, words can not describe how much fun panama its. I've just moved here from the states I'm trying to get every thing in order, but my goodness the females. Their is alot of thing going on here in panama right know, they are building clubs and bars left and right they've really making this place a fun city to live in. About the girl I'm more particular about colombian girls but thats just me, the great thing about panama city is that they have a ton of colombianas living here pros. and non-pros is really amazing. you can pretty much fine whatever you like here and if you get bored buenos aires, brazil, or colombia are nearby. this is a site I found on escorts in panama city; http://www.elcomplaciente.com/zaf.html check it out a little something to look at, well hope you make it down here one of this day.

Those Copa fares don't look that good. I have found that Copa usually isn't the cheapest airline to get to/from Panama. Especially since they were bought out by Continental. It always amazes me that I can fly Delta to/from Panama from/to San Antonio via Atlanta cheaper (usually) than I can fly Continental/Copa directly from or to Houston. I just purchased tickets on Delta for December 27th for Houston/Panama for about $450 (round trip). The same flight on Continental/Copa, although direct while Delta will change planes in Atlanta, was nearly $600. Taca was offering the same price as Delta going through San Salvador by the way. I did buy the tickets through a discount travel agent also, which always gets me a better deal.

With regard to the stability of Panama, please allow me to share some insight. Until Oct 2004, I had been living as an ExPat in Panama for almost 5 years.

Panama has been safe for the past few years. Of that, there is no question.

The reference made to Panama's instability is also true, however. In the past year to two years, there has been an increase in crime, both aggravated and non-aggravated. Stolen cars were almost never heard of, but they were becoming more and more common. Muggings were almost unheard of, but they have been becoming more common. Holdups at restaurants, banks, etc, have also been on the rise.

This is not a political problem that will grab US attention. It is petty crime (ok, and not-so-petty crime) that is coming out. This has been blamed on the country's economic recession since the US military pulled out 4 years ago, and on the influx of illegals coming in from Colombia and Venezuela, among other countries.

But be sure to put this in perspective. With all the ongoing activities today, Panama remains a relatively safe country. I can tell you that I would much rather be walking the streets at night in Panama than in most any major US city.

I have since moved to Mexico City. I have my own safety-related problems here now!

I hope this helps clear up some of the confusion with respect to Panama's safety situation. Yes, it is still relatively safe.

I am trying to decide between Panama City, Panama 1 week w/a week at the beaches of the Pacific Ocean (Panama) following that, or a week in Heredia Costa Rica with a week in Samara Beach (Pacific Ocean Costa Rica).

Which would be better for a late 20s, clean cut American with lower intermediate Spanish skills?

I definitely want to meet girls during those 2 weeks as well as avoid being a crime victim. I'm leaning towards Panama at present but am interested in some honest feedback/comparison

Thanks.

Hello,
I could use a little help or guidance.
I am planning a trip now and have been unable to find what I need.
I have an event that I am going to attend in Panama City, Panama on 8/14 & 15, arriving on the 8/13 and departing on 8/16, and I want to stop in several other hobby friendly places while I'm in that part of the world.
So what I want to do is spend like 3 nights in Buenos Aires and then 3 nights some place else, Brazil, Colombia, Peru or Venezuela, in South America. And while in Central America I want to spend 3 nights in maybe Costa Rica or El Salvador.
I can leave Los Angeles, CA any day of the week and don't really care where I go first, as long as I'm in Panama City on 8/13, and have no set date that I have to return.
I've been trying to do this on the internet and just can't seem to find the right order for things. Everything brings me back to the US some where along the way or I have to stop some where else between stops. I know that there are local airlines that might work better but when I get down to the smaller ones they don't have a website or there in Spanish.
Thanks for any help you can give.

Hi,

Try Taca.com. They fly through Central America to South America, go to Buenos Aires, have a hub in Lima, also go to other s.a. destinations. They also go to Panama City and other c.a. destinations. I've flown them a bunch now and like their service. It is a long flight to Buenos Aires with Taca, though. You stop in Costa Rica and Lima. On my flight from San Francisco to Buenos Aires, I had enough of a layover in San Jose, Costa Rica to go get a massage and relief. It helps to break up the long day.

Really NiceGuy,

I'd suggest LA to Panama for your deal then to Cartagena, Bogota and then to Sao Paulo, after that I can't say. There are great connections from PTY to CTG every day on Copa or Avianca. There are at least 6 flights daily from Cartagena to Bogota and Avianca has great service to Sao Paulo.

OK,

Here recently I have received a few PM's from guys that are thinking about moving to Panama City or give it a shot for a few months. After reading some of your questions I firgured I would post my monthly expenses for everyone to read. This way you have SOME idea of the cost of living here, etc. BUT please remember this is MY standard of living, NOT yours. Granted, I am sure there are plenty of people that would live within similar means as myself, but just take MY expenses for what they are worth. I started charting EVERY penny I have spent since arriving back in Panama City on Sept 15, 2004.

So, I will post my expenses on Oct 15, 2004. I would also like other people that live in Panama City to chime in, if they dont mind. Gaunt, Man, etc. Of course this post will not be ready for a little while but this gives time to other guys to start or post their monthly expenses for others thinking about making a serious move down to Panama City.

Greetings everyone,

Effective immediately, King of Sluts has been relegated to posting in his own section titled "KOS in Panama". He is no longer permitted to post in any other section.

Those of you who wish to join him in his discussions may do so in this new section.

Hopefully, this will bring some peace to the Panama section, and possibly encourage some new reports from some otherwise reluctant potential contributors.

Thanks,

Hi Jackson,

yes that is a good idea to give KOS his own section. Banning such clowns is not very affective as they soon would come back with other names.(as he himself already told!) Let him rant in his own private section, maybe you are doing him a favour in letting him tell his frustrations about Black Panamenians, gay men,Europeans and other misfits in his eyes.

Sooner or later he will see that his posts are seen only as a medicine for laughing.
I for sure will not answer any of his stupid postings in which this "gent" offended black people, fellow board members and God knows what else.

Good riddens!!

As I hinted on another board. Queen of Sluts has returned. The thing about KOS, is that he is such a moron, and he is so predictable. Johan007

Hi Nibu,

if there is one country that is fairly stable in central America it's Panama!!!!
They have the US $ as national currency and a lot of banks....Up till 1999 there were about 20.000 US soldiers at present in PC to secure the canal zone.
Turism isn't the largest sector....that is the service sector (banking, insurance etc...etc..). However turism is on the rise nowadays.
However I think Panama is maybe NOT the cheapest country of central America. IF you want that better go to Honduras,Nicaragua or Guatamala.
Sure Panama has problems like any other country too. One big mayor pain in the ass is the drug trafficing;maining practised by Colombians.
Other problem is that many people drive fast and drink alcohol(or use drugs)....so a lot of deaths in accidents there! (even in the city area!!!)Watch out for them "diablos rojos"...;-)These are old US schoolbusses that transport people;they drive like hell.
Costa Rica is even more expensive regarding hotels, real estate and laborforce. Hookers are (what i heard) also more expensive then in Panama.

P4P is also not very divers in Panama, and rather expensive. However if you speak spanish (and I know you do) you can meet lots of non-pro chicas.
Especialy in panama City. Outside PC the culture is more provincial and more conservative ie it's harder to find girls that are open for gringos.
During carnaval PC is a wild place to be:-) Be sure to book your hotel up front for this period.
Inland airfare is rather cheap.....driving by bus is also a great option and not expensive. Panama is not a large country (78.000 sq. kms) with only 3 million people!!
The only barrio in the capital i would NOT go to at night is casco viejo. During the day it's a pretty colonial neighborhood...but at night it's dangerous.
Colon itself is also NOT very safe during the night. Even at daytimes stay in a group or with more people. Colon is a large area with much tax free shopping;so manly (rich) panamenians go there to buy clothes, electric stuff, luxery goods and computers. The train ride from PC to Colon is awsome from what I heard.....so give it a try.

Unlike what our brother comediant King of Sluts said there are many Panamenians that are light skinned! The darker (black) negroid people are mainly in the capital itself. Most of them speak english. The latinas however mostly don't. The black girls are (IMHO) easier to approach then the latinas.(regarding their attitude) And I have seen some fine and nasty looking women among them!!!:-)
T&A. well....you get the picture.

have fun dude.

Johan.

Hi Muf Diver,

I stayed in the Montreal Hotel (via Espagna) and it was decent...chica friendly and had a pool! I payed US $ 22,- for a night (no breakfast). The place was ok to me. They even have a FREE pick up service (if you book a room in advance) from Tocumen airport!! (I only had to pay the road tax wich was twice 2 bucks....)Considering the airport is a good 15-20 km drive from the Montreal it's a bargain:-)
here is their website:

http://www.alfatravelguide.com/english/pa/bpahDet.asp?id=1421

Another hotel i stayed in was the Hotel LATINO.....close to via Cuba (in that street is the cuban embassy). Here I stayed in a large room with 2 king size beds for 25 bucks. (no breakfast) In this area there are LOTS of the same price range hotels between US$ 20-30 a night. JUST ask any taxista....they'll know the way.
BOTH hotels had free internet. That is they had 3 PC's running with (slow)internet. So if you don't mind waiting...because you can imagine that with so many guests 3 computers will be occupied fairly long time. But for check my hotmail/gmail and to chat once ina while it was OK. The prices in the capital for internet are very low;I was in some cybers were I paid 25 US Cents an hour!(a very big cyber with 2 floors!)

The Latino hotel also was chica friendly;-) AND had a pool; an absolute must for me as a swimming freak.

In the montreal they had some indoor Colombian hooks whoch were staying LT there.
The montreal Hotel has a website, the latino doesn't.
Both hotels are situated in "safe" areas....even at night.

If you are also going to David (border area with Costa Rica) I can recommend the Madrid Hotel and Hotel Fiesta.(the latter one is abit outside the centre BUT has a great pool) Hotel Madrid gave me a discount because i stayed more then a week....for 18 bucks a night. Hotel Fiesta was 25 bucks.

This might also help:

My recommendation IMHO, go to penonome, las tablas is too crowded with many problematic people. Hi all,

Got a question about the two Marriott hotels in PTY. (Panama Marriott Hotel and the Courtyard Panama Real Hotel)

How are they? How are the locations? Are they both guest friendly? Guest friendly for a fee?

I have a "hook" with the Marriott chain so price will be reasonable at both places but of course I want to be fairly centrally located and I (of course) need the ability to bring in company. ;)

thanks guys...........

I dont think they are guest friendly at least not for free, but just to avoid that kind of problems with the lobby people, just go to one of the "push buttons" that rent a nice room for $10 for 2 hours or try Los Arcos for $21 a night

Yes, yes I would certainly be interested. I always thought it would be interesting if some of the board members would organize and work out special rates, deals and packages into paradise. It would be a fun to meet and greet some of you guys and of course we would be up to our ears in beautiful women! :)

Some organizing efforts were attempted in the Dominican Republic in the past, but (from what I've heard) they never worked out too well.

Guys on the World Sex Archive site have already done this in the Dominican Republic. Someone owns a hotel in Puerto Plata set up JUST for mongering. It is called Blackbeard's. WSA members get discounts on room rates, taxis, and chicas. Don't believe there is a discount on plane tickets yet.

HEY NIBU! You wanted some info on those mrcado bars in panama city, well they are your kind of places! They are cheap (7-15$), easy to get to (walk a cpl blocks down hill from ped mall, but only in day!) LOTS of differant girls 24hrs a day, many from columbia and others from Dom. Rep., the area is safe during the day with cops everywhere, but about 7pm the cops go home and the BAD GUYS come on duty! If you take a cab there take one yuo know and trust! While inside these places you will not be bothered because there are under cover cops there! The best place is two bars that have become one, just go in and hang out (I have never bought a drink), look around and spot the cops and talk with them and they will give you tons of info!! LUCK.

sad to say, but non pro action is very limited unless youre fluent in spanish in regular clubs. Most of the time if you manage to make contact, it might be a freelancer or part time pfp. Sadly also panama is still a very conservative society. Anyways you can give it a try, but most regular girls tend to look down upon gringos, but what a heck!! you might get lucky anyways!!

u know what I mean!! not to sound disrespecfull or that im antigringo or anything like that!!, but Ive seen girls just run away or make rude remarks when a gringo approaches her, not that it happens all the time, but basicly
thats the regular temperature that I felt when Ive managed to witness this kind of situation. But you know better than anybody know that this isnt the situation everytime as you have hanged around with me during some good parties back at the club!! (now i no longer work there)

How is it possible that Panama City has a casino on every corner and no one has a clue how to play blackjack?

I found it a real bonus to have all the casinos in Panama City. In addition to being a great place to meet girls, they are also a good way to spend time while rejuvenating. I really enjoy playing blackjack and understand the basic strategies of the game.

The tables all are $2, $3, or $5 minimum. I did not go into any high roller rooms. I also did not play any of the variations they have on the game as the rules were too hard to understand with my little Spanish. The blackjack rules are very favorable for the player. All casinos offer surrender for half and many allow you to double down after your third card. They also play very slow so you can make your decisions. Usual stand and hit rules for the dealer. Insurance is very confusing, but I never do this anyway.

I saw every basic strategy of blackjack broken multiple times. No one has a clue on when to stand or hit based on the dealers face card. They are also inconsistent on this so you cannot predict their actions. I saw people split 10's and the ultimate was a guy who surrendered with an 8 on two cards. They also jump in and out of the game at will. Your playing a 5 hand table and next thing you know two people decide to sit out a couple of hands. This is just not proper blackjack etiquette. If you are trying to watch the flow of the cards and predict what if going to happen, forget it.

After a couple of days I just played the table minimums and killed time.

By the way check out the new Venito. It really has a Las Vegas or Atlantic City feel to it.

sad to say, but non pro action is very limited unless youre fluent in spanish in regular clubs. Most of the time if you manage to make contact, it might be a freelancer or part time pfp. Sadly also panama is still a very conservative society. Anyways you can give it a try, but most regular girls tend to look down upon gringos, but what a heck!! you might get lucky anyways!!

I am a bit surprised about what you wrote.

I plan to go to Panama city and to stay around 1 month. If I believe you, Panama city won't be a good destinations for non-pros???????

I do SPEAK SPANISH quite well however not fluently....I am less than 40 years old....
What would be my luck there????

Any point of vue about that subject would be great.

There are a lot of tables playing a blackjack like game that has bonuses for all kinds of strange draws. This explains some of the weird stuff you may see. The games look just like bj.

Go to the one in the El Panama. One table in the back throwing one deck. Just playing basic it has a positive expectation. Best game on the planet right now. No heat for counters spreading bets either. Just don't ruin it.

Hola,

I am planning a mongering trip to CAmerica the last of May. I plan on being in Panama City from Tues May 23 until about Sat. May 27th. Then on to Costa Rica for a week or so.

I would like to hook up with an experienced monger who has been to, and is familair with Panama City, who will 'show me the ropes' for a few hours and in exchange, I will be happy to treat you to dinner and a few beers.

I have researched the Panama City threads and have jotted down all the good info for hotels, clubs, casinos, MP, SW's, etc. but would still feel more comfortable with a "wingman" for a while, until I learn 'the lay of the land'.

I am not a 'big spender', and have found out that you can just stay longer and make the fun last longer, if you don't overpay for hotels, food, girls, etc.

I have already scoped out some suitable hotels in the $ 22-30.00 range, and hopefully I can get laid a few times while there, for a similar price, or not too much more.

If you will be 'in country' during this time, and don't mind meeting and passing on some of your local expertise to a fellow forum member, then please PM me.

Gentleman,

I've just been advised that I will be spending a week at the Royal Decameron in Costa Blanca. I've been advised that the hotel is about 2 hours away from Panama City where the most of the action is taking place. I have 2 requests:

1. I haven't seen a list of must see places in Panama posted on this thread I would appreciate it if one was posted by one of the more experienced members of the post.

2. Could someone advice me as to the posibility of finding some chicas at the resort.

Thank you in advance for your help.

It's going to be a long week. You may be able to connect with chicas in the disco or at the casino but it's usually filled with family types, I think the chances are slim to none of making out. Very nice place to stay, good food and all that but not a place to play. You can rent a car at the National office and drive to the city and make the rounds. Have fun.

Unless you can pick up tourists, the chances are zero. All-inclusive hotels are for the truly desperate vacationers and families and do not allow guests in the hotel.

I need to leave Costa Rica for 72 hours to renew my visa. I am hoping that I can have a great mongering trip too! Can anyone give me some specific advice on Bocas Del Toro, like what the scene is like, prices, types of places, etc. I currently monger a lot in San Jose, Costa Rica and also love Philippines and Thailand.

Also, if Bocas doesn't have a good scene, which city in panama should I go to? I am trying to keep travel costs and travel time (from San Jose, Costa Rica) down to a minimum!

Any help would be great! Feel free to PM me too!

Luv Webcam,

RTFF! Why should people take the effort to help you if you won't take the minimal effort to read the hundreds, possibly thousands, of valuable posts on this and many other threads? When I see posts like your, I wonder why I bother posting at all. Then I remember that there are many mongers for whom informative posts are valuable; they helped me and I like to help them. But first you have to help yourself and become informed, THEN ask questions if you read something you don't understand. And, be prepared to pay back by posting your own experiences.

Hola,

Like Elberto (from the his thread) I am wondering about information on finding Viagra or Cialas in Panama.

Is it available without a prescription like it is in Costa Rica?

I will be in Panama City in 7 days, and need to replenish my supply of Vitiman V.

Any tips, locations where to find it (names of Farmacias), and the current prices, etc, would be appreceiated from any of you 'old Panama veteran mongers.

Hi Elberto

I asked the same question a few months ago and there was a reply.I have since tested this with Cialis. It is available without prescription. You have to ask for it at the pharmacy counter. I am not aware of generics.

The best price I found was $60 for 4 tabs. This is at the pharmacy on a side street just off Via Espana past the Crown Casino.

Hope this helps.

Both pills are available in Costa Rica in generic form. They are inexpensive. Gen V approx $1.50 to $2.00, C approx $5.50 to $6.00 at Park Farmacy. It is located 50 yarda north of the cathedral in Parque Central.

Good luck......

I saw in the other thread that Cialis and Viagra might be prescription-only in Panama, so I wonder if it would be better just to get some to take with me? I've never used ED drugs before, but then again I've never been anywhere with an endless supply of available pussy, so it would be better to be safe than sorry. I have two quick questions about customs.

I plan on bringing about 50 condoms, two small vibrators, and a bottle of lube when I come into Panama. I checked some of the online sex toy companies and they ship to Panama so I don't think it's a problem, but has anyone been questioned about this sort of stuff when entering the country?

Also, I see the guys posting photos and I was wondering if you upload them from inside Panama rather than bring the photos home still in the camera memory? I don't want to invite any scrutiny by the wonderful fellows of the TSA.

just my opinion, but i don't think panamanian customs would give a crap about the condoms, lube, etc. nobody has ever said anything about my condoms and massage oil. i have heard of u.s. immigration looking at photos on digital cameras and even laptops of people who traveled in places like cambodia and thailand. presumably they're looking for photos of **** chicas or chicos taken by pederasts. given that you're not one of those sicko's, and that panama isn't a big destination for the perverts, i don't think you'd have much to worry about -- worst case would be an embarrassing experience.

The screening of baggage into Panama is pretty perfunctory. I have never seen an American hassled for anything there. I would not worry about it unless this special vibrator is shaped like a gun!

My last few trips I have been taking my laptor and transferring all my pics there. No one has ever looked at it. I have read on this board about some guys returning from the Far East getting screened. Apparently they do a search for certain file types ie GIF, JPG, BMP. A couple of ways you can beat that. Manually change the file extension on all your hot pics to something else. You will have to change them all back before you view them again. The other is to copy them all into several Word docs and then erase the original files. Make sure the new Word docs dont appear in your recently opened files list and give them an innocent sounding name - not BBBJPanamaHottie1 for examples.

But I still believe that it is unlikely they will look at US Customs.

Good luck

CA customs tend to ignore North Americans arriving regardless of what they bring, unless they are locals living in North America. I have yet to go through customs in Managua for example.

If you cannot figure out a way to remove the memory card and replace it with one with more traditional photos, you have not tried very hard. I travel with a computer with an external hardware encryption hard drive. The images are stored on an AES encrypted disk image on that drive. Good luck seeing the contents.

Note if you have some older digital camera without removable memory cards that must be like 1 MP get a proper camera. Put in the cheap-ass 16 or 32 MB card that comes with it, take a few monkey and tree pictures and that's the one in the camera when you return not the one in your coin pocket in your jeans, right?

I think the two best places to play serious BlackJack are the side room tables at the Fiesta Casino (El Panama) and the $5 tables at the Majestic Casino (MultiCentro).

In both, you can double with 3 cards (holding 9, 10, or 11), and allow just about every other rule beneficial to the player. Almost all make the dealer hit a soft 17, which is bad.

However, I find that the Royal (Marriot-no 3-card double) can often be the most entertaining environment, and the drinks come much faster there than others.

People do tend to do a lot of griping at the tables, and often in complete ignorance, which is most irritating. The bad play one can see at any casino in the US, but the locals complain more. They gripe at me, and I just smile and nod.

Airport to Colon is gonna cost you an eyeball, is like driving state to state in the US so make the numbers for a cab making that sort of tour. The Airport-Panama cab should like $12 using a regular cab, not the ones parked in the airport, those from the airport should cost around $20. You'll make the difference between them by the type of vehicle some times(airport cabs= a little more luxurious type of vehicle) or by looking at the license plates, the airport ones begin with SET(Servicio Especial de Turismo or Special Tourism Service).

Is a lot cheaper and interesting if you rent a cheap car and drive to Colon(get a copilot that knows the way around!). The bus ride should be around $10 or even you can take the train that costs around $25 and will let you sight see for a while.

www.blackjackscience.comI checked the site out, and the advice must have been written by a casino owner. Follow it, and you are guaranteed to lose.

Here is an actual quote:

"If you have 17 points or less, always draw. This is because the only way to win when you have 17 is if the dealer busts. The dealer can draw when he has 16, right? So, why wait on chances when you can give it a go?"

Thank god the dealer "can" draw, as 8 of the 13 available cards will bust him and guarantee that you win: 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen, or King.

But if you draw, you will hand over your money 9 times out of 13 before you ever get to see what the dealer draws.

This advice to draw is totally insane.

Hey Guys,
(( To Answer Questions from PerfectSW and Foto Guy ))

If you need information about Panama City - go to the Panama forum, do a search of whatever you are looking for....whether it be information about hotels, chicas, or whatever....you will find nearly everything you need to know - because nearly 99 % of everything has already been fully covered before by someone on this forum.

So newbies, please do some research first before asking for specific recommendations on where to find a suitable hotel, where to eat, where to find the chicas......etc.

Here is 'my 2 cents worth' on Panama City :

Best Deals on a Hotel & Best Transportation Deal from PTY Airport to Hotel:

As far as I know there is only one hotel that will pick you up at the airport and shuttle you to town (in a shuttle van) for FREE.......there may be others but I am not aware of them.

This is the Hotel Marparaiso. They are centrally located downtown, and the rooms are $ 22.00 per night for a single which includes double bed, color TV, air conditioning, hot water bath. With a restaurant/bar on premises. This place is very clean, and safe - as far as I know.

This is a very good deal since the average ride in a taxi from the PTY airport to downtown is around $ 26. to 27.00.
So you can stay a night in this hotel, and come out making 4 to 6 bucks profit on the deal. Basically like getting a free night at the hotel.........

Do a search on Google for the hotel, and then when you find their website, contact them, tell them when you will be there, flight number, and such, and when you do they will send a driver with your name on a card to pick you up. He will meet your plane and pick you up for FREE. Then I usually stay the first night at the Hotel Marparaiso, and then go elsewhere for the rest of my stay, as there are better, cheaper, or more convienent hotels.........elsewhere.
I am not sure if the Marparaiso Hotel is particullary chica friendly....unless you show up with her and register with her....when you first get there....then you won't have any problems at all.

If you arrive alone, and register first, leave, and bring a chica back with you...there may be questions about her, or a fee....so best thing is to check first.
But for the first night in town, (and I usually arrive late around 10-11 PM and just stay in the first night as I am usually tired from my flight) ........it's just a great bargain for only $ 22.00 per night.

Here is a brief list of the other hotels that I would recommend in Panama City.
These are listed by price, from the least expensive to the most expensive -

Hotel Latino, downtown....single rooms here are $ 20.00 per night (or they have a 2 night special for $ 17.00 per night) and have all the amenities and everything that is listed above (for the Marparaiso) plus the Hotel Latino also has a very nice swimming pool on the top floor that overlooks the city.

The Latino Hotel also has taxi drivers who hang out there either outside or in the ajoining restaurant - looking for fares....and these guys, especially Javier, ( his phone # 670-946-29 ) will turn you on to almost anything you could want. They know chicas who live in the neghiborhood and who will come to the hotel, to meet you. And in the past I have had some nice Colombian gals recommended by Javier (he set me up with them) over who would come to my room for an hour or so in the $ 40.00 range. Very economical, and they were nice gals too. The Latino Hotel is very chica friendly....never a chica fee, and they do not say anything when you walk in at anytime of the day or night, with a gal.

If your budget for a hotel is more than $ 20.00 per night - like in the $ 40-45.00 range...then my choice is the Las Vegas Suites hotel...and they are closer to the action around the Venetto Casino, Oasis Massage, Manolos Restaurant (across the street from the Venetto hotel/casion) and a good spot to find chicas after 9-10 PM - as the will sit at the outside patio tables just waiting for you to come up and talk to them.
These chicas will usually not be the $ 100.00 per hours ones you will find at the casino's...but will perhaps be more economical, ( in the $ 40-60.00 range) and will sometimes be the semi-pro type who only wants to find a casual date a night or two per week.

If your hotel budget is over $ 75-80.00 per night, then spurge and stay at the Venetto Casino. You will find lots and lots of chicas downstairs in this casino (who will be simply walking around the casino floor looking for some action).

It is oftentimes difficult to spot the working girls - chicas who are looking for dates.....as you are out and about....but not at the casinos. You will be able to spot them by their dress...usually more sexy outfits than normal gals wear, and also they will oftentimes approach you and ask you, "que pasa" or "what is going on".....when you meet up with them. The average (non-pro) that you encounter on the street will not usually do this.

Highly Recommended & Best Food Bargains -

On the same block as the Venetto Casino and Manolo's Restrurant....right next to the Osasis Massage Parlor.

There is a food court with a Baskins/Robbins, a Dunkin Doughnuts, a Wendy's, a place for steaks - and best of all a local Pizza place where you can have a small raised crust pizza (just right for one person) and a Coke for $ 2.59.

Plus with the pizza and Coke, I usually get a really nice large dinner salad with lettuce, tomatoe, cucumber, and carrots, and dressing from the 'steak place' for $ 1.50

This makes for a really good, filling, and inexpensive meal for less than $ 5.00 ..... and you don't have to leave the "action area" to go eat.
You can get a pizza at Manolo's restaurant (across the street) for twice the price....but it's not nearly as good as ones from the pizza place in the food court.

Going To Colon:
The best way is to take a taxi to the Albrook Mall bus station (about $ 3.00 from downtown) , and then get the direct bus for Colon.....usually several per day. Fare is minimal (around $ 3-4.00 for the bus) If you try to to take a taxi from Panama City to Colon - it will probably could cost you upwards of $ 25-40.00 - one way, as it is a 50-60 mile trip.

The only thing worthwhile, in my opinion, in Colon, is the Eastern side of the Panama Canal - if you want to see it from the Atlantic side.

But I think it is much better to go to the Multiflores Lock (sp) on the Panama City side to see the canal. The other redeeming thing in Colon is the Free Zone shopping area.....but even the free zone area is nothing to write home about....as you can buy most everything elsewhere at the same price.

So really why go to Colon ? ...... I think it is simply a dirty, slum ridden city, with very little to recommend visiting it.

Speaking of price from above......if you will be in Costa Rica....then the prices for pills like Viagra, Cialias, and such are much, much cheaper in Costa Rica than you will find the same thing for in the pharmacies in Panama. Get your prescription pills in Costa Rica, or Mexico for that matter. Prices are lots cheaper in either Costa Rica or Tijuana than for the same exact thing (pills) in Panama.

If you know you are going to be in Panama or Costa Rica you can order Cialis cheap in the net without a script. I bought 120 20mg pills for $86.00 They are manufacured in India but a lot of the meds you buy in the us are too, you just don't know it. Order early because it takes about a month or 6 weeks to get them. The last place I bought was a company called Alldaychemist.com It makes them less than $.75 cents each and you can usually get by on taking a half. I buy them and give them to my panamanian friends who could never afford them on their own.

Since I'm going to PTY at the end of the month. I've read in some posts that one needs a prescription in Panama. I find that mind-boggling if true (no other country south of the border that I know of requires a script).

No prescription necessary in Panama. Definitive. But it is not cheap. No generics that I am aware of. Based on discussions with others the pricing is higher than CR or Colombia.

You have to ask for it at pharmacy counter. Some sell 1 packs others 4 packs.

So gentlemen, info is needed on that type of hotel.

Most appreciated.

Hello Puerto La Cruz,

Finding hotels around $50 with your request in no problem, your problem is the dates. Carnaval is coming and hotels get crowded so whatever you do make calls now.

Do a search and you'll find many.

Hope this helps

Greetings, recent travellers to Panama were you required to show proof of the Yellow Fever vaccination to enter the country? The CDC site says it's not required if travelling from a risk free zone(I will be),State Dept. site refers to the CDC site. Just wondering whats happening at the airport, sometimes this info is not correct.

Thanks and enjoy!

It's recommended, but not required. Certainly nobody checks you for immunizations if you are coming from the U.S. to Panama.

I can recommend Hotel Montreal on via espagna aswell..i stayed there in 2005 for a week and it was clean, safe and cheap (22 USD a night). It had also some inhouse Colombian hookers...which were too expensive (IMHO).
Hotel Montreal has FREE pick ups from Tucomen Airport if you make a reservation before via internet....you only have to pay for the freeway toll booth (back then 2-3 USD...)
They do have a website....if you google arround a bit you'll find it.
During carnaval the city (during day time) is a bit dull and boring...and many shops are closed.

Also I can recommend Hotel latino....good,clean,safe and cheap rooms...AND a piscina on the roof!!!!!!!!:-)
In this barrio (close to the Cuban embassy) there are more hotels like this...
Ask any taxista arround and he'll certainly can show you some hotels in the same pricerange (20-35 USD a night).

the president announced a week or so that all colombians are now required to get a visa in order to enter panama, that he was going to notify the colombian president about this measure, since the violence level due to colombian drugs/prostitution was way too high. In the past there was an agreement between panama and colombia that their respective citizens didnt require a visa to enter the 2 countries.
Now this doesnt means that all colombians are drug runners/prostitutes!
As matter of fact Ive seen more frequent raids to the SW in the Venetto area

Hola Amigos,
I am thinking of going back to Panama and Costa Rica in a month or so, and am wondering if anyone has had any dental work done in Panama City.

I have the name of a dentist in San Jose, CR....where I may go, but actually prefer to hang out and monger in PTY....so I would like to get some information about a good, reliable, and fairly inexpensive but fully qualified, dentist in Panama City.

I know that dental servies in San Jose are fairly inexpensive compared to the same in the USA....but do not have any info about what is available in Panama.

If you have any information please reply by private Email to: stevewxly

Thanks, Steve

I can understand why the Panamenian government does this. I think it's OK.
99% of all Colombians in Panama are having to do with either prostitution....drugs...or illegal fire arms.

If you want to f*ck Colombian hookers go to Colombia...there ye have way more pickings and cheaper as well!!! IMHO.
No need to pay 100 USD an hour for overpriced CO hookies:-(

keep Panama clean...save...and tranquilo....so OUT with the Colombians:-)

Hey Stevewxly,

I just came across your inquiry about PTY dental work. I have had extensive work done here and am VERY satisfied. The dentist is Dr Waldo Avila. He is a member of Integra Grupo Odontologica. I had 19 teeth capped with new crowns at 1/3 the price that I was quoted in SW Florida. Took 3 days. That was done 3 years ago---no problemo of anf kind. DR's phone is 265 5836.

Hi all,

I have about a 4 hour Layover in Panama and was wondering what I could do. I would hate to wait at the airport for 4 hous. But I'm not sure if I'm allowed to exit the airport and wonder the city. Do they stamp passports on Layover countries? If I am allowed to leave. Is there taxes to pay? What is close to the airport to waste about 2 hours?

Thanks guys!

I had a layover at PTY in March, coming back from Ecuador, and I was not allowed to leave the airport. So making a run to a local massage parlor in the city was not an option for me.

However, the duty free shopping there is excellent, so that's something you can do while you are stuck there. Also, there are some super hot women wandering around the airport, so if all else fails, just grab a seat, and enjoy the show.

That's what I ended up doing!

Newbie, greenhorn, lurker, troll to this site but not to the pursuit. My first trip to Panama coming up in Oct. And will be staying at mentioned hotel. Any and all info on hotel, casino and spots nearby in Colon to view the talent would be helpful. Was going to post on Colon thread but no postings there for the last 6 months.

Thanks

The Hotel is very nice, a bit old with plenty of history. Decent but very small casino, real nice pool area on a big lake.

Colon is very, very bad. You will not want to sight see or even look around town. There are however some monger attractions. Your best bet is Ice Palace, it was written up here a while ago but is still very good.

Depending how long you're going to be there you may want to take the 1 1/2 - 2 hr trip to Panama City where it's real nice, big casinos, nice restaurants and lots and lots of monger venues.

Good luck!

Special Request: Old Gringos (45 years and above, ) stop leaving your sexually deprived lives in the USA for these warm, wet, chochas caliente in America Latin. You're creating inflation in the prostitution market by over-paying for something that is free! Some of us have to exist within these countries and you "simps" paying $100 and above for sex is fucking up our "stilo. "

Since when did a third-world prostitute have the confidence and courage to quote $100 or $150 for sex? Since you "Old Gringos" hit the scene is the answer. You make these 50-cents hookers believe their "pink box" is actually worth $100 when it's actually worth $0. But, any market is determined by what someone is willing to pay and you "Old Gringos" are paying anything quoted and worse is that you're putting on your credit card.

We young USA, ex-pat, studs banging these Latina broads have fight through your inflationary pricing and I'm tired of it. Don't [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) on my wheaties by trying to impress a prostitute with your financial wealth, via credit, with the mis-conception that Gringos are rich and foolish with money. Sure Gringos are financially foolish within the USA, but don't perpetuate this irresponsibility abroad. Don't be a millionaire for 4 days on a credit card paid vacation or "business trip. " It's the above syndrome that keeps me from touring those mongering capitals: San Jose, Costa Rica; Medellin, Colombia; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Stop trying to impress prostitutes with your credit card payment or retirement check wealth. Why are you trying to impress prostitutes anyway? Get masculine. Just because your first and second wives have castrated you, please don't walk around like a unic (mispelled) trying to impress prostitutes with your success at age 50 plus.

Fortunately for me, they call me when they want some real Meat Loaf after they've fleeced you, but the bullshit I must encounter initially is my diatribe and thus the reason for this diatribe.

You working-poor or retired-poor millionaires are making these broads think I have money.

Hence, they're trying to get pregnant; talking about marriage; and other nonsense because you're helping promote this fallacy of we Gringos being rich. Stop It! You should know: Buy Low, Sell High. So why are you guys buying high and selling your little peckers low? Where's the Beef? I take pride in paying as little, if any, for any broad and that's assuming I'm not charging her for the Meat Loaf.

Fellas', I needed to get this off of my chest since I was solicited multiple times last night by high-priced hussies thinking they were worth $100 and shunning me when I replied "Hell No. " Now, for $99, I may have said yes: La Bodeguita, Cd. Panama.

Sounds like a little boy who is unsure of himself. If you can't play with the big boys, get out of the game. Take your ball and go home. You are fast to accuse everyone, maybe with a little more maturity you will know how to pick up the women without paying at all and not have to complain. I very much doubt if the women are chasing you around either. Of course, it depends on the quality you are used to. You have a lot to learn about many things, especially life.

Though, I don't believe in irritating anyone, I believe the fellow may have a point. I've been to Panama on several occasions, as late as last year and I have never paid a provider over $50 with the exception of Golden Time (Now, that is some primo ass!!!). One has to respect other people's turf, especially when traveling. These people are sources of information on the ground (I assume he lives in Panama) and share their insights with all of us. We need to toe the line in not raising prices to outrageous levels, just like it seems we have. Can you imagine 100% inflation on anything anywhere? How would that make you feel? That's what seems to be going here right now unless we learn to make the market a buyer's and not a seller's market. Yes, I know, sometimes we can help ourselves (Ass is the bomb!). But as a group we cannot continue on the course some of us have taken and can't get off. That is my humble oppinion.

These places establish a "Gringo Tax" that is 2 or 3 times the local rate 'cause of the inflation caused by short-term Gringos with obnoxious payment patterns.

First and Foremost, how is possible that this international city, mongering mecca only has 8 pages worth of reports? I don't want to be the only contributor, but my posts may guide and encourage others.

Last night, on Fridays, I start my party at 1500. Went to "La Mayor" and got ridiculous with a bottle of Chivas. Hell, I got paid again and wanted to spend some profits / commissions. SOS.

Returned home to sober-up at 1700 and decided to check-out "Habanos Cigar Shop" in front of the Marriot. Gross: Gringo Central. No Gringo spoke Spanish. All the broads are Colombian speaking Spanish and "Love you Long Time, Suckee Suckee. " (Wow, I forgot to pay for my first beer. Sorry. I guess I should return and pay sometime. Accidents and oversights happen.) Nonetheless, the prostitutes quoted me $100. (I try to avoid "Gringo Places" 'cause they are usually phony and over-priced.)

The funniest thing I heard last night was when Steve was communicating with a pro and she was showing him her daughter's picture and about her life in Colombia. The child was under 1 year of age. Steve asked "where's the father" with this tone of wonderment. Funny. I spit my beer out laughing. Tough life: From the maternity ward to the street corner.

As usual, "La Bodeguita" was packed-and-pumping. They love white people at these places and are treated like kings or at least financial marks.

Caution with the taxi drivers trying to take you to over-priced clubs where they receive a huge commission.

I'm gonna' stick to the "non-pro" circuit of Cd. Panama 'cause the mongering scene is lame-and-overpriced.

O. K. This is my first post, and it is rather lengthy. I am coming from a different angle than most of the writers on this forum. We all have our own styles, needs, and methods. My hope is that this rather long "post" provides useful info. For those readers who are interested in enjoying the fruits of Panama, by using another approach. We are all brothers here, and trying to get to the same "end". Enjoy, and let me know if you have found any of the information helpful. "Permant Damage"

I had a wonderful experience recently. I lived for some 2 ½ years in the small country of Panama. I would like to share the highlights of the stay, along with some of my observations, and general information for those thinking of traveling or living there. Throughout your reading of my experiences, please remember that I am just a regular guy. On a scale of 1-10, in the U. S. , I am a "5". If I am dressed up, maybe I can be considered a "6". I am afraid that I would never be considered higher than a "6", unless the woman judging me had bad eyes, was drunk, strung out, or a combination of the three. I have a nice speaking voice, and I can be charming, so I can land a few women out of my "average looking" class in the U. S. In the U. S. , as far as most women between 18-50 years old are concerned. I am a fat, balding, middle aged guy. I am 6’2", 260, and have a receding hairline. I was 38-41 years old when I was living in Panama. I just returned to the U. S. 5 months ago. In Panama, my world was turned upside down. I had first moved there with my ex-wife who was from South America. She did not like Panama. She decided this almost upon arrival. She was from a more conservative, cooler area south of the Equator. She felt that everything in Panama revolved around sex. I, being of a more naïve persuasion, did not immediately recognize this. I learned very quickly that this observation was more or less correct. It seems that in the tropical areas of the world, sex, sweat, and shorter unions are more the norm. Thank God for the Tropics!

I first settled with my ex-wife in the city of David, Panama. This is the capital city of the Western Province of Chiriqui. The city is not much to look at, and seems to mainly serve as a stop over point when traveling, by road, from Panama to Costa Rica or vice versa. It is also a jumping off point (bus station, airport) for those travelers looking to enjoy the cooler climates of the Chiriqui highlands. Most notable of the highland towns are "Boquete", and "Volcan". Because of upper Chiriqui’s cooler temperatures, and Panama’s great treatment of foreigners (tax breaks, discounts, and retirement incentives), many foreigners wind up living in the "mountains". The elevation goes up to about 9 or 10 thousand feet. There, one can experience spring like temperatures all year long and a refreshing departure from the U. S. And it’s policies. I had checked into places to settle outside of the U. S. , for my Latin wife and myself, as she did not much like the U. S. I was game to move, and after extensive research, I settled on Panama. I though that the city of David would be a good place to start, as the highlands are only 30 minutes away, and should we choose to, we could live in upper Chiriqui, and work in David. In David the salaries were low, but we could of managed. My ex-wife yearned for the feeling of a larger city, and there were very few jobs in the highland, so it was destined that we would ultimately wind up in Panama City. We stayed in David for only about 5 ½ months. We moved to Panama City, but our relationship further deteriorated. We split after being in Panama City for only 3 ½ months. Free at last! I had been faithful to my ex-wife while we were together. In Panama, from the time I stepped off the plane, to the time I boarded to come back to the U. S. , I was a celebrity. I am tall, but not too great looking. What made me a celebrity was my white skin, long face, brown hair, and green eyes. Most (98%) of the People in Panama were darker skinned than me. I am not pale, but just a regular white guy. I look "different" and that alone was the key. My hair is a mouse brown color, and my eyes are a regular bluish-green. This combination in the "States" will get you ground beef. In Panama, it will get you prime rib! While still married, with a ring on my finger, I had girls (18-25) calling to me on the streets, flirting with me in shops and restaurants, and several times (yes, more than 4 times) touch my chest while I was walking down the street alone. This was in David. This was in broad daylight, in the shopping district. These were nice looking women who were shop workers, and shoppers. They were not prostitutes. I had many (20+) women try to make dates WITH ME during the time I was in David. I had my ring on my finger every single day. It was amazing! I am not a flirtatious guy, but something was definitely working in my favor here. When shopping with the "ex" in supermarkets, or walking with her in the streets, I still got lots of attention and smiles. This was the root of most of the problems that I had had with my "ex". I looked different, and that was enough to get attention. I was also from the U. S. Because of this combination I got a lot, I mean a lot of attention. For the Panamena (Panamanian woman) I represented an amazing "catch". To the Chiricana (Girl from Chiriqui Province), I was the catch of a lifetime. Not too many Gringos spend any time in David. To some women I represented the chance for her to escape, and move to the U. S. (Green card). For others’ I was thought of as M. R. Moneybags (Greenbacks). Some women saw me as having the ability go give them a light eyed (blue, green, or even light brown) child (Green eyes). To some women I would be someone who could support her, and shower her with affection like most Panamanian men could not (Her friends would be green with envy). Other women really were attracted to white skin, and wanted to "eat me up"(White). Others’ though that I would help in the average girl from Chiriqui’s desire to "mejorar" (improve) her families blood lines (Red). Ironically the provincial flag of Chiriqui is not Blue, White, and Red, like the true Panamanian flag, rather it is Green, White, and Red! The funniest thing is that it did not matter that I was married. I became the fantasy object of many women. In Chiriqui, which has lighter skinned people than most of the rest of the country, a white gringo will garner the most attention. Many of the families prefer that their daughter hook up with a whiter guy, than a darker guy. Forgive me for saying this, but that is the sad state of affairs throughout much of Latin America. An average looking black man will probably not fare as well in most places in Panama, as an average looking white man. This is just a fact. This is embarrassing for me to say, because I don’t like racism under any circumstances. A black man looking for quick sex may do better than a white man in other places (ex. Germany, parts of the Orient, Scandinavia, etc.) Because of my "look". In Panama, I was Brad Pitt. It was heaven! I, being crazy about Latinas and black women, did not do any complaining. The women in Chiriqui are known throughout the country as being both the most beautiful, and also most insatiable. Personally I like my women a little bit darker than the Chiricanas! All Panamanians joke about the hot-blooded "Chiricana‘s" reputation. There is even a nickname for the hot.blooded women from Chiriqui. "Ganado (Gana’o) Bravo". It does not translate well, but if you want to make any guy in Panama smile, mention the "Gana’o Bravo" that you recently hooked up with! If you prefer the Latina look to the mixed race (black-white) look, go straight to Chiriqui!

In general the country of Panama has many, many, many, more "Black" people than neighboring Costa Rica. Because of the many foreign workers who came to Panama during the years of the building of the canal, Panama has a wide variety of "looks". Chiriqui is a long way from the canal (6-7 hours). The people in Chiriqui, are generally kind, but are among the most racist in the country. If you are white, however, you will be more "welcomed". The "look" in Chiriqui is more of the Latino look. What we consider a Spanish (from Spain) and Native Amer-Indian blend. Panama City, however, is full of people who are ¼, or more, "black". Most are at least ½ black. The city of Colon, on the other end of the canal (50 minutes away), is full of what we would call true "blacks" (90%). Most are descendants of the workers who came from Barbados and Jamaica, to help build the canal 100 years ago. Many people in Colon speak English. Another place with a high concentration of true "blacks", is Bocas del Toro. Many people speak English there also. "Bocas" can be an expensive place to spend a few days. This is a beach/island community on the Atlantic (Caribbean) side of the Western part of the country. " Bocas" is on the other shore, across the land, from Chiriqui, which is on the Pacific side. Bocas has the Caribbean crystal blue water, friendly islands, and extremely expensive real estate! While in Chiriqui, I did not have any sexual experiences outside of the jealousy prompted high energy sessions with my ex-wife. I write a lot here on Chiriqui, because for a single white guy, you will be in heaven if you like aggressive "Latina" looking women. Personally I like the darker skin a bit more! If you are a regular Joe, and don’t want to pay. You don’t have to! While some think that it is cleaner to pay (business transaction, nothing else), you will probably have your hands full by buying a dinner or two, or paying a taxi fare, or sometimes without even having to pay a dime for anything, if you are just decent and kind, or a good B. S. Artist. As mentioned, I spent most of my time, and all of my "single" time, in Panama City. I never used the services of a prostitute. It was heaven there. I was working full time, but not earning a lot of money. I averaged about $1000..$1300. A month! $500. A month is an unheard of salary for an unskilled worker. In Panama, most workers in stores make less than $200. A MONTH! This is for 44 to 48 hours a week (almost 200 hours a month)! Do the math and see why $15.$20 is a windfall for a store employee! In Panama City, a city of sexy Latinas, and black girls, I was white, uptight, and out-of-sight! My first experience was that self-same night when I had escaped from my ex..wife. I had reached the breaking point, and had left (for good), with my 2 suitcases and a large box, nothing else. I got to a really cheap hotel in Panama City and paid for a week, so that I could get my bearings before moving elsewhere. An hour after I got there I saw a "vision" talking with the girl who worked the front desk. Later, though a door that was open only a crack, I saw this "vision" changing her shirt in the employee workroom. Oh My God! To cut to the chase, I started talking with her when she came out, and decided to take her to get something to eat. A girl like this would not want to be seen with me in the U. S. Remember, this is Panama, not the U. S. She ate and talked with me, and then wanted to go to the casino (careful: all women want to go to the casinos, or shopping. JUST SAY NO! Until you have things under control) After eating I said that I was tired and just wanted to go back and sleep. The whole evening. With 2 taxi rides, and the two meals cost me less than $10. 00, yes I said $10. 00! We wound up back in my room. She said she had to go meet some friends, and then (without warning) your humble narrator, acting completely out of character, came on to her super strongly. She responded well. In minutes she was lubed, and I was primed! I could not believe that I was enjoying the treat of "having "this beautiful creature. I gave her no money, and had only bought a meager dinner for her. She had amazing breasts, and a nice bit of hair in the right place. That night I did whatever I wanted to with her. She stayed with me for 4 hours. In-fuckin’-credible! The next night she came back to see me, and asked me for $10. 00 for something or another. I told her I was poor, and I couldn‘t (No girl will believe that you are poor if you are a Gringo). She left in a huff. Believe it or not, she came back later, and stayed the night. We talked, and did other much more delicious things too! Many girls here respond when you are a tough guy, or even a bit of an asshole. She obviously thought I was attractive because she kept trying to convince me that her German boyfriend was "even better looking" than me! Hell, of course he‘s better looking than me. I’m a fat old bald guy. I’m not too good looking. Am I? Am I? Am I?

Am I? Am I? Actually, from that day forward I started believing that I was good looking. I also convinced myself that beautiful girls were just as easy to get as average girls. Let me tell you. Perception is reality (repeat that! )! I acted as if I deserved a lot of quality women, and I got a lot of quality women. I hooked up with some dogs along the way, but 95% of them really got me excited. What follows is one example of "off track" thinking that initially slowed me up: At first, when in Panama, I had some trouble convincing myself that I could land a nice black girl. In the U. S. , if I had brought a black girl home, my friends and family would think that I was a little crazy. Also I might have trouble going into a "Black" neighborhood in the States. I dated very few black girls in the States. I had had a mental block, and I thought that it would also be harder to hook up with a black girl in Panama. I was living with this "perception", and limiting myself. As soon as I changed my mind, I changed my reality. I had no trouble with any of the races there. While "single", I hooked up with over 60 women in a year and a half‘s time. I never went to a single club, disco or casino (allergies to smoke). I bedded well over a dozen teenagers (18 and 19 year olds), and women up to 54 years old. The girls were rich, poor, tall, short, young, old, educated, non-educated, married, single, super beautiful, borderline pigs, white, yellow, cinnamon colored, brown, black, and dark black. I had 2 virgins, several "anal" virgins, several pregnant or nursing girls (yummy! ), and one who had had 5 kids before reaching 30. Some had tight glistening bodies, and some were out of shape. My collection included Panamanian Indians from the San Blas region, from the Darien regions, and the Chiriqui region. I had no East Indian girls (from India), and that is a shame, because I find them sooooooo beautiful! I did have two Chinese girls though. Chinese represent 5-10% of the population in Panama. I hooked up with many other foreigners. The Chinese girls were just O. K. , actually one of them had just gotten married to her sweetheart less than two weeks before we first got together. She lived close by, and I never had to pay for a taxi, or anything. I saw her several times only. I had met her at her family’s restaurant, some months earlier. I would see her occasionally in the street. I saw her in the street one night, spoke with her about 5 minutes, and went to kiss her goodbye on the cheek. She instead kissed me on the mouth. Wow, I hadn’t expected that! Here we were, a tall Gringo, and a "Chinita" kissing in front of a hundred pairs of Panamanians’ eyes. She didn’t care, I didn’t either. I grabbed her hand and led her to my apartment, and then had her in many positions. Additionally, I had several girls from Colombia, several from Nicaragua, a Peruvian, one from Honduras, one from El Salvador, two from Costa Rica, several Dominicanas (Dominican Republic), two Jamaicans, a Mexican, a Cuban, a Venezuelan, and a bunch of good ol’ Panamenas. Most Panamanian girls, or girls from the tropics are not that into giving, nor receiving oral sex. I have a theory. Because in the tropics everyone is always sweaty, straight sex is the norm, and least threatening. When I went down on some girls (dining at the "Y"), they were surprised, and even called me a pig. Needless to say, because I insisted, there are now several happy, newly indoctrinated, oral sex fans in Panama. Many women could care less about condom use in Panama. It is your call. I had read about a Gringo on one of the S. A. Or C. A. Boards that didn’t like to use condoms. He was young, and supposedly very good looking. He told all of the girls that he was looking for a wife. He told them as soon as he got a girl pregnant, he would immediately marry her, and take her to the States with him. The girls never protested for not using a condom. He was both a convincing liar, and had been properly snipped (vasectomy) several years earlier!

Where does one meet all of these available girls? On the street, in the stores. Anywhere! When super horny, I could go out hunting and get 5-10 numbers within an hour. Many did not pan out. Sometimes when the girl had time to think things through, she would change her mind. Catch the girl off guard, and come on strong! Strike while the iron is hot! When I lived near the shopping district, I could go on the hunt, and (4 out of 5 times) bring a girl home within the hour! I sometimes would get 2 in a day, and even once, I got 3 in one day. My quickest conquest is when I locked eyes with a girl in the street, spoke with her for less than 40 seconds (I bullshit you not! ) and asked her to come back to my room. We walked a quick 6 minutes. Before the door closed (well not actually before the door closed), we were pulling each other’s clothes off, and preparing to do the horizontal Mambo!

I would meet friends of friends, and get them back in my room, with no embarrassment on either end. You never had to explain what had happened when you caught up to your original friend (be it a guy friend or girl friend). Everyone knew that hooking up was just part of life. Several times I remember eyeing up one girl while chatting with another. After chatting, and visibly writing down a phone number, I would walk over to the second girl. No hard feelings, and if the first girl saw me talking to the second, the subject never came up later. I was playing a new game, and playing it well. Remember, I never went to any discos, clubs, or casinos. I did have a good looking black Canadian friend who liked those avenues. He was in the clubs every night. He stopped writing down the girls’ names in his record book, after he had bedded more than 100 girls within his first year there. Everyone has their angle. If you had told me that it would be possible for me, a 40 year old, balding, fat guy to "gain entry" into the intimate lives of over 60 females (plus have some delicious "near misses". Such as kissing, groping, or oral sex without actually hitting a home run) in a year and a half, I would have thought that you were crazy. Actually, I probably had another 10 or so girls in my bed, but for whatever reason, I did not "seal the deal". Girls in Panama seem to respond better to a guy who takes control. Girl won’t ask you "What do you think you’re doing? " when you are trying to work your hands under their clothes, instead they just smile and assume that you are taking what you are entitled to. When you have the attitude that you are taking what you deserve, everybody wins!

Some of my experiences were amazing, and some not so great. Some girls were talented, enthusiastic, and energetic. Others were dead fish. Most were shaved (they say because of the heat, it is more hygienic). Personally I like the fuzz, . Hell, I actually prefer the jungle! Not many girls were into giving oral sex, but a few enthusiastically swallowed the idea. Life was not perfect! I did get slapped in the face a few times, had a few girls run out of my apartment like their hair was on fire, had a few offer death threats (the girl’s brother, father, boyfriend, or husband was supposed to come back to kill me), but somehow I still survived to tell this tale. Malls, and the streets are good hunting grounds. All of the girls who work in rich households, as maids, or cooks, get one day off on the weekend. They ALL head to the malls. I know nothing of working the clubs, bars or discos. Higher class girls are universally a harder nut to crack. I got a few in each class, but had the best time with the middle class girls (salesgirls and students). I did have a lawyer, 3 teachers, and 2 nurses, among other professionals. I did lie a lot to get into many pairs of panties. It is par for the course. It doesn’t matter if you lie. If you treat the girl decently, you’ll do well. As everywhere, some girls need to, and want to be lied to. They all should be lied to if you want to get anywhere! Always oblige, by lying, if you need to get in her pants. Always offer to pay their taxi (it should be $2-3 round trip). They will take the bus for 25 cents, and then take your money. You will feel better though! I probably spent no more than $500. 00 to entertain all of these girls. Taxi money, an occasional movie, something to eat, or a spare item of clothes). Some of the girls I saw once, and some 10 or more times (remember I was quite busy with my harem). I was off from work only on the weekends. Many weekends I saw three or four girls. Some weekends 5 or 6! I almost died, from exhaustion, a few times! Needless to say, I was sometimes shooting very little, or "couldn’t" shoot at all. Yes, there were even times when I could not. Uh, you know! In those cases it is always good to have an agile tongue, and some toys to "leave no customer unsatisfied! "

I came up with a brilliant idea one day, I though about placing an "ad" in the newspaper, looking for a masseuse. In the "ad" I put that I was a Gringo looking for a masseuse without experience. I put a low price like $3. 00, or $4. 00 an hour, for two hours. Wow! Did the phone ring! I nailed (you know, got jiggy with) about 80% of the respondents. There were some that were only interested in giving a massage, and nothing else. Others were just too ugly to be "getting in to"! I always got a descent massage though.

I was seeing this beautiful black girl from Bocas who worked in a call center, and spoke English well. She lived in Panama City, but had a boyfriend in Bocas. She responded to my "ad". After about a month with her, she said that she was interested in a threesome with another woman. Once again, I used the newspaper to my advantage, and placed an "ad". It read something like. "Bi-racial couple (Gringo and Morena) looking for an open minded female for. " From this "ad" I received about 20 calls, met 11gals, bagged 3 with my "girlfriend", and got together with 3 behind her back (she didn’t care, but boy were these 3 girls excited that they were "pulling one over" on another woman! ) I could not have pulled this off in the U. S. In 100 million years! Contrary to what I have read about the working girls, and had heard about the Panamanian girls from my friends there, I found women in Panama to not be too jealous of you spending time with other women, and many of them really enjoy the sneaking around type games. I sometimes told some of the girls that I had just met, and gotten into bed (and basically had finished with), that we had to hurry because I expected my girlfriend to return soon. Some of them really got off on that! I had left Panama in Early March of this year, for 5 weeks. I went back to Panama just for a week to wrap up things to move back to the U. S. To tend to an emergency here. Before going back for the week, I vowed to bed 10 different girls in that week. I did not quite make it. I did get nine different girls. Two were brand new girls, and seven were old "girlfriends". I popped a few of them several dimes during that week. Yes this was accomplished, even by this old, fat, balding, pasty colored white boy. All in all, I probably has 20 bouts, of fighting the "good fight". Not bad for someone trying to wrap up loose ends, close accounts, sell junk, get rid of an apartment, and leave the country with two suitcases. If you have some money to throw around (shopping spree for the girl. A pair of jeans, 2 tops, and some underwear for her to model) you will have girls falling into bed with you. The aforementioned shopping spree will set you back only about $30. 00! If you take a girl to any of the all inclusive beach resorts ($35-$40 per person, per night) you will be a hero, and will get whatever you dream about. The girl will be telling her friends about her experience. For years! Lie about your motives, but treat the girls well, and you’ll go far. Make sure to tell them you want to find a woman, settle down, buy a house in Panama, and split your time between the U. S. And Panama. This will work wonders for your "game". Make sure that in all instances that you make the move to get in their pants at the first opportune moment! (there is genius in boldness! ). If you act so, you will be pleasantly surprised, and quite busy! Do not wait: if you see an opening. Go for it, if you see a crack (by all means available to you). Fill it!

I am sure that Panama is not the only place that you can do this, but it is the only place where I did "this! " When I return (early 2008) I am definitely going to have to spend some time in Chiriqui.

2 ¾ hours from Miami, and less than 5 from N. Y. If you like Latinas and black girls, you’re in for a treat. Be nice, learn a bit of Spanish, smile, wear American clothes, and talk of returning often, wanting a steady girlfriend, wanting to settle in Panama, but also of maintaining a residence in the U. S. This will get the panties soaking. ! Make up your mind that you are going to win, and you will, Big Time! As they say in Mexico. "Cohelo suave, pero Cohelo" Perception IS Reality!

Great report Permanent Damage, thanks for taking the time to write it up. I think a lot of time the administrator will nominate a new member's post for a Report of Distinction to keep him interested and posting. But in your case, it really deserves it.

Oh, Panama!

Just thinking about that place, and my eventual return, brings a smile to my face.

In my last article, I painted a rosy picture about meeting, and "getting down" with women in Panama. I had to pause while writing the this last sentence. I had wanted to write. "getting down" with Panamanian women. Well, because there are so many women from different countries, living, studying, working, visiting, and hangin' out in Panama, I instead decided to write. "getting down" with women in Panama.

My last article focused a lot on the Western Province of Chiriqui: Specifically the town of David, in that province. Now I shall give some information on the Capital: Panama City. This may be of interest most to those members who are contemplating a visit to Panama.

Panama is a melting pot of cultures, races, attitudes, and reasons for existence. As noted in my last article, I had many, many experiences with non-Panamanian women, in Panama. I thought I would expand on how I hunted, and went for the "kill" with so many foreigners. The gene pool in Panama is as varied as that of New York City, Singapore, Hong Kong, or Turkey! I found the native "Panamenas" (Panamanian women) very pretty, and with a multitude of different "looks". I love steak, but I don’t like eating steak every night. It is the same with women. There is always a plethora of foreigners in town for various reasons. Let us then, to help other hunters, explore the "advantageous" angles of this "benefit", in this present article.

Because there is some sort of pact between the countries of Central American (not South American) countries, it is relatively easy for someone from Honduras, Guatemala, Costa Rica, etc. To enter Panama as a tourist. I believe that a passport is not even needed. I am not sure, but I think that country issued I. D. Cards will allow any citizen of a Central American country to trip through the other Central American countries with no problem.

For this reason, many young women, from poorer Central American countries, leave their families (sometimes their children, too) to search for a chance to earn more money in a richer country like Costa Rica, or Panama. It is quite easy for them to get in. Unbeknownst to most of these young women, however, are the strict rules in place for foreigners to live, work, or reside in Panama. The great majority of these young women (90%) wind up working in family households, as maids or cooks. They make less than a Panamanian woman, but they keep their mouth shut because they are making more than they would at home, and are also working illegally. If they are in Panama more than 3 months, they are illegally residing there also, and need to be careful about being seen on the streets.

These women are practically slaves, and only get a chance to leave the house 1 day a week, or in some cases, 1 day every 2 weeks. If the girl does not look like a Panamanian, she needs to be careful of being stopped, and possibly harassed by the police. It is a hard life for an overworked, pretty, young, horny, foreign girl. These girls rarely frequent the clubs and discos, because they are: a.) afraid of being picked up by the police there, b.) being ratted out by a Panamanian girl there, who wants to punish all pretty foreign girls (just not the Colombian girls. More on this later), c.) does not want to go out alone, because she does not know a soul outside of the family that she treats well, but that they treat her like a dog, or d.) sometimes has to be back at work by 5PM or 7PM, on her one day off! Horrible, no?

When there is a problem present, there is always a solution, or in this case, an opportunity!

The two places that are a sure bet for seeing, or meeting a foreign illegal worker on her day off are the bus station, with a big mall and food court attached, or one of the other mega malls in town (Multiplaza, and Multicentro). The police rarely target anyone in those areas. You can spot these young women pretty easily. Many of them seem to be walking lazily, and staring off into space, as if in a trance. They are out of the house, and away from the pressures of their jobs, and just "zoning out" or daydreaming. These girls do not have much of a salary to spend, as they don’t make too much, and they send much of their earnings "back home". To get their interest, you just have to go up to them, say a few kind words, and you are in like Flint! Sometimes you can score an afternoon "Horizontal Mambo" lesson on the spot. Other times, you will make a date for the next weekend. Is this so bad? Not at all! The latter situation is sometimes better, as the girl has been thinking about you all week. I am not kidding! Think about it. What else has this pretty 18-25 year old girl got to think about all week, except for her upcoming "date" with the Gringo in a few days. These thoughts (about meeting the less than handsome, slightly overweight, balding Gringo) are better than replaying the horror stories of what she experiences every day at the hands of her unscrupulous employers, and their bratty kids. You provide the promise of taking her on a short vacation from her hellish reality. When you run your game that you've crafted, and get her in bed, she is ready! Trust me! She has really been (consciously or sub-consciously) getting hot for you for the last several days. You become the savior. You do not have to be an amazing guy, you simply have to be there. Providing a different opportunity for this young girl. It is amazing how these girls will come back to your apartment/hotel, under some silly false pretense, and how they will be so willing and eager to jump in the sack for some unabashed, uninhibited naked wrestling! Many of these experiences rank in the highest realm of my "hottest" sessions!

There is nothing else to say on this topic. You now have the tools, go and get the job done.

As I mentioned in my previous article, the newspaper "ad. " where you are looking for a non-professional "masajista" to come to your place to give you a massage, works like a charm. Many of the foreign girls, mentioned above, fall for this one. They need a few extra bucks to send back home. Your ad. Specifies "non-professional", and states a pretty low price. Besides, they have nothing special to do on their day off. When running this game, I was a semi-fat, balding, pasty white 40 year old, who did not have a beautiful body. Did that stop me from getting a lot of "tang"? Of course not! Think about this; the girl is on your bed, touching your body, and she has (in many cases) not been with a man in months, or even years (Really). You've got sex on your mind, she's got the same thing on her mind, you know she's got it on her mind, she knows that you know that she' s got it on her mind. . Well, in the famous words of the rap artist Young MC. "What comes next, just Bust A Move".

What did you not understand? What else needs to be said?

You now have the tools, "Come and get it".

Colombians: Let us see.

Remember that 90+% of the world's cocaine comes to us from Colombia. 90 percent of the population of the U. S. Thinks that all men from Colombia are drug dealers, and that all women from Colombia are prostitutes. 99. 9 percent of the population of Panama thinks that all men from Colombia are drug dealers, and that all women from Colombia are prostitutes.

Sadly, this is the case for the Colombians living, or working in Panama. They come from Colombia with this overwhelming prejudice there to face them upon arrival. What does one do in this kind of atmosphere? Try to blend in, and/or resort to keeping out of sight, for fear of getting roughed up by the police, or one’s neighbors! There are many nice Colombians that I have met, but the majority are up to no good (this is common opinion, and also my opinion).

Panamanian women, specifically, seem to despise Colombian women (Colombianas), more than they despise Colombian men (Colombianos), and much more than the Panamanian men despise Colombianas.

Unlike the people from the Central American countries, people from Colombia (in South America) need to show proof of economic solvency, upon arrival. (showing $500. In cash). Many times this is recycled money: money that helps one young person get in, and then the $500. Is send back, via Western Union or MoneyGram, to Colombia so that a friend can get in with it. Repeat this as many times as possible. You understand. So there were many Colombians with $500. In their hands yesterday, but today they do not have a dime. What can a prettty Colombiana in Panama without a work permit do to pay for her living expenses? Hmmmm, I don't know. Can you think of anything?

It is almost impossible for a Colombian man to get a work permit in Panama. Overall, the Panamanian men despise the Colombian men. Maybe 1 in 1, 000 has a legitimate work permit. The other option for the Colombiano is to marry a Panamanian for "papers" to live and work in Panama. This is a legal route, but is abused routinely. So, 10% of Colombian men are married, and living and/or working in Panama legally, but they are still despised. 90% of the Colombian men who stay past their visa expiration date (usually 1 month visa), are criminals, or at least perceived criminals, and need I say that they are despised? Well, what can we do with a bunch of illegal Colombianos? They cannot work legally, and they are illegally residing in Panama. There are not too many options available to them other than crime. The rest is history. And now on to the Colombianas (Colombian women). Because the majority of Panamanians have darker complexions than the Colombians, everyone knows who is who. The lighter skinned Colombianas, with their more European features, are celebrated by the men folk, in Panama. The Strip Clubs, and Massage Parlors are full of them, almost to the exclusion of women of other nationalities. There is a loophole for some of these women to get into the country through. There is a special "Performing Artist" type visa that these girls can get to enter into Panama legally. The label "Performing Artist" is used in the loosest form of the term! These women are recruited in their native Colombia to be sex workers in Panama. They arrive, and live like indentured servants, and taking on many men daily. I am sure it is not all fun and games. Many of these young women know exactly what they are getting into. Some actually make the circuit, and return to Panama every couple of years after doing their stints at clubs in Aruba, Curacao, Costa Rica, Cuba, or other sex destination locations. There is a lot of money to be made by pretty Colombianas in Panama and elsewhere. All women back home in Colombia seem to know this. It is the perceived "ticket" out of poverty, and out of Colombia. If a Colombiana stays in Panama after her 3-12 month "artistic" contract and work permit expire, she becomes a freelancer. Freelancers can make a lot of money, but have to pay off the police when they get caught with expired papers. A Colombiana could also marry a Panamanian man, to stay. But why? A club worker, or freelancer makes 2 to 5 times as much as the average Panamanian man does. Some freelancers make more in one night, than a Panamanian government worker makes in a month. Does this girl then want to stay, and marry, so that she can work a "regular" job, and make $1. An hour? No, she would rather move on, or go back home when the going gets tough. Colombianas are world renown for being some of the most beautiful women. The Panamanian men are crazy for them, as are the many tourists that frequent the sex clubs. The rhythm is kind of screwy. Some of these women are "protected" by some of the Panamanians who want to keep them around. This type of girl will know that she is in high demand. She will have connections. The Panamanian women will not blow the whistle on her because their brother, or uncle, or father may have a vested interest in that certain Colombiana. The Panamanian women might be scared of getting into trouble with the Panamanian men. Panamanian women steer clear of the prettier Colombianas, because they (the Panamanian women) want to stay out of trouble. Freelancers don't fear the police, they understand that they will occasionally have to pay them off. That is just one of the expenses in running a business. Pretty Colombian women in Panama have "rights"! That is the breakdown of the Colombianas plight in Panama.

With all that said, their are always a few Colombian girls in town who are true tourists. Usually higher class girls. Like many women in Latin America, these women prefer to be with, and be seen with, white men. Again, forgive me. I don't like this sad fact, but I do take advantage of it. You can sometimes land a date with a travelling Colombiana, if you try hard enough. Personally, I don't prefer the whiter skin, and the haughty attitudes of these "rich girls". Sometimes, however, we all need a change of pace. Just because you love the Lily, doesn't mean that you have to despise all other flowers. I have been told that although Costa Rica has lighter skinned people than Panama, on average, the Colombiana situation is very similar there. They are considered better looking than the locals, y tienen "derechos". I hope that this article is useful, especially for those who plan on traveling to Panama.

Mr Damage I would like to ask you to put some specific information about girls like phones, where do they work, photos, etc. I travel to Panama frequently so I know some of the places to monger but sometimes we are in a hurry so we need specific info to act quickly. About your report I don’t understand how to spot the Central American women from the Panamanians; all looks the same to me. Also if the are illegal and don’t have family where do they go? You mention they pick some buses or something similar but I don’t get it, because they are foreigners and don’t have any place to go, only the boss’s home.

Thank you for your questions. I regret that I do not have too many specific answers that you will find to your liking! I cannot give out phone numbers, because these girls are not really interested in "blindly" meeting just anyone for a roll. Please do not interpret this as an ego trip that I am on! No offense meant to you, nor to anyone on this board. Most of the girls who responded to the ads in the paper knew exactly what they might have been getting into, and they had a chance to talk to me before they made their decision to "come". Those girls worked all over the place. Some in stores, some in offices, some in houses. Some did not work at all. Many thought, from the wording in the ad, that what I was offering was a real steady "job". Those who thought that, got off the phone real quick when I explained that it would be an occasional "job". I made no mention of sex on the phone, and when one of the girls offered her services (for sex. At her price), I always declined. I took no pictures, and this I regret. Most of these girls would not have wanted their pictures taken. With the recent scandals on this "Panama section", among others sections, I would have had to block out their faces. Pictures of clothed women with their faces blocked out is not what anyone is looking for here.

To spot the foreign home workers among the Panamanian girls takes some practice. Look for them at the Albrook mall, and the Multi-Centro and Multi-Plaza, Look for someone who is dressed a little differently, has a slightly different manner, has a different gait, and is not moving quickly with the crowd. A wide eyed look, and a slightly sad face sometimes are giveaways. If a girl looks a little shy, and seems to be on the lookout (for the police, their employer, their former employer, or the "unknown") you might have spotted your target. Because they have "no place to go", they just waste their day off roaming the malls. Test the waters. What is the worst that could happen? You might go home with a Panamanian girl instead.

Other places to meet women, not necessarily foreigners, are the Peatonal, and Calidonia.

The whole of the portion of the street closed off to traffic so that store patrons can walk without being killed by busses is a great place to see millions of women in their natural habitat. Think about this combination: Women of every class, Cheap stores, Panama City (where everyone says there are at least 2-7 women to every man). You don't want to miss the "Peatonal" which is also called Avenida Central.

Another part of what is actually "Avenida Central" is the shopping district of Calidonia. This place is not closed off to traffic so be careful crossing the road. Be careful, also, of crime in this area. Be on high alert around the big overhead sign of "Rica Deli". There are many girls here, and if you like street rats, this is the place to strike up a conversation/cut a deal with a Calidonia resident. If she is not interested in what you are asking about, she will probably tell you that her friend, sister, or cousin might be able to help you.

Bonus tip: Many of the girls that work in the highly visible shops in the area around Via Venetto/Plaza Concordia are available to dote on a foreigner for a few hours after work, if the price is right. You will pay more than you would if you land a shop worker from the previously mentioned shopping areas. Everyone has their preference. The girls in these last areas are usually a bit higher maintenance.

I hope that I have provided you with some help, albeit not specifics as you had hoped for.

Greetings!

Great article on the low down of life in Panama. While there are many diverse peoples in the country, sort of a mini United Nations, there are different types of bigotry. There is a seperation of nationalities, class and race.

Never heard a Panamanian say anything good about any Colombian be it male or female. While there are some very nice Panamanian lady's, they cannot compare with the Colombiana. They are in a class by themselves, sort of like the Garotas in Brazil.

It is also true that it is tough for a Colombiana to work in Panama. Constant red tape and police harasment. One would think the Panamanian government would be more understanding. The Gringo's who enjoy pumping the Colombiana's are also pumping the Panamanian economy by real estate purchases and business.

While I try not to overpay for my Colombiana's, I know they are working hard for the money, and I wish them well. I hope they can make money to support their family. If they are smart, and some of them are, they are also saving to buy a condo or start a small store/business once they retire and go back to Colombia.

I enjoyed your article. Nicely thought out.

Those in Panama know that today is "Independence Day from Colombia" and tomorrow is "Flag Day. " Therefore, it will be very active throughout the city. Great time for the non-pro and pro action.

I enjoyed your two long descriptions of Panama- It gives information and insight not found in other reports we see everyday. Some of the guys here haven't the patience or drive to learn more about a country and need to complain. I for one, enjoyed the information. Thanks for all the details and for sharing your techniques. I think much of what you write could be used in other Latin countries.

I was in Panama City, David, Boquete and other areas of Panama last summer and could clearly relate to your perspective.
I'm headed to Peru this weekend and will use some of your ideas about meeting ladies. Thanks again!

One really big difference that you miss out, is to look out for huge breasted ladies, most of the colombianas are enhanced. Most panamenians girls arent not naturally big breasted or have enough resources for a boob job. Colombianas are mostly big boobed by nature or had more access to enhancing surgeries

"For this reason, many young women, from poorer Central American countries, leave their families (sometimes their children, too) to search for a chance to earn more money in a richer country like Costa Rica, or Panama. It is quite easy for them to get in".

Hello Permanent Damage,

Your two reports about Panama are very interesting and I really enjoy reading them.
What would be your point of vue about the fact, that girls from poor country in Central America could also go to Mexico...
It seems to me that it would be easier as Mexico is much bigger than Costa Rica and Panama. Much easier also to be anonymous there.
Do you have some informations about that?

Personnaly I've never been to Panama. I know Lima well and I would say it's a bit more conservative in comparaison of your report. I mean it's a bit more difficult to have sex with a normal girl right away the first day.

Do you have some informations about that?No way you can sneek into Mexico from Central America! Mexico has tough law enforcement along Chiapas. Mexico's illegal immigration isn't like the USA. They shoot along Chiapas. And I believe you get federal prison time upon your first immigration violation. There is the freight train that Central Americans jump on-board to enter Chiapas, but that's dangerous as hell and they get caught. There is a huge gang community that loots the train riders in El Salvador, Guatemala, y Chiapas if you make it into Mexico.

I knew a Chava that took the train from Nicaragua towards Mexico, but got caught and deported in Guatemala.

Mexico doesn't want their citizens which is why they encourage them to go to the USA. They for sure don't want Central Americans within Mexico. Mexico only wants people that have money so they can loot them. This statement is made in view of the economics and social composition of Mexico exporting their citizens to the USA. I never knew Mexico was a white country until I left the USA and lived in Mexico 'cause everyone I ever saw within the USA that was Mexican was a dark Indian.

I lived in Mexico for 7 years all over the country and this is learned experience I write.

Your question about why girls from other Central American countries do not head off to Mexico, to look for work, is a good one. For girls from the more Northern Central American countries, it would seem to be a more natural choice.

What follows is 100% my opinion. Forum members, please feel free to correct me, or add to what I am saying here. I am just trying to help out by lending my "opinion". I am by no means an expert, and only lived in Panama for 2. 5 years.

In Panama, one does not hear much about Mexico. In my experiences, the Panamanians to not seem to know or care what goes on in Mexico. It is so removed (distance) from Panama that it is of little interest. Please remember, also, that much of the population in Panama is uneducated by U. S. Standards. Their sense of geography is terrible. Many do not even know where Belize, or El Salvador are on a map. You sometimes will get a silly question out of a girls such as. "My friend lives in Los Angeles, and my brother is in Miami, tell me is it three or only two hours drive from Los Angeles to Miami? " SO. "where is Mexico? " "I think it is near Spain, no? "

Mexico is a different world. Most uneducated, and semi educated Panamanians feel that their culture is most like the Puerto Rican culture (food, music, recreation, tropical mentality). Panama, for the most part, is a Tropical country with a tropical feel.

My ex-wife from South America believed that the Mexicans were very racist, and whenever she spoke with any Mexicans in Panama (very few), they always concurred. If that is the case, that might explain one reason why Panamanians did not have too much interest in going to Mexico.

Your questioning, however, was why these girls from other Central American countries did not wind up in Mexico, as opposed to Costa Rica, or Panama.

In line with what I mentioned above, with regards to race relations, I believe that many Latinas from Central American countries feel that they may be discriminated against in Mexico. Although people in C. R. Are, on average, much lighter skinned than in Panama, I believe that race problems are not as great there, as in Mexico.

Another plausable reason why these young women tend to end up in Panama is the weather. Much of the population of Central America lives in a tropical "climate". Mexico City is not "The Tropics". For a young woman moving from San Pedro Sula (Honduras) to Panama, it is not that big of a climactic change.

The rhythm of life in the Caribbean, and the tropical areas of Central America seems to be similar.

Mexico City represents a whole different set of rules, customs, and weather. So the three reasons seem to be that, in Panama, the climate is what the Central American woman is used to, the customs seem to be similar, and the young woman will not feel (because of her skin color) that she is in the lower class of society.

Again, these ideas are my own, no information was gathered from conducting interviews, but rather these are mere speculations based on hearing bits and pieces about the girls' formers lives, and why they were in Panama.

P. D.

This question wasn't addressed to me, but since I know the answer I'll weigh in. It's more difficult for women from certain Latin Countries to enter Mexico legally. They need a visa. I know that's the case for the Colombians and Guatemalans, and suspect it's also true of Nicaragua, Honduras, etc. And there's no shortage of plain looking Mexican hookers, so the Nicaraguans, for example, probably wouldn't find it worth their while. There are high end hookers from Argentina and Brazil in Mexico BTW. I don't think they need a visa to visit Mexico.

Surprisingly even the Panamanians need a visa for Mexico. My ex-novia, who was working a regular job, could not qualify. I was going to take her to Cancun. I was really surprised at this. We ended up going to a nice resort in Costa Rica instead.

I also know that there are quite a few Panamanians in the P4P business in both CR and Guatemala. These tend to be the hard core working girls.

I have also spent quite a bit of time in Panama and agree with the geography & climate comments.

Regarding Mexico, you need to remember that Mexico has a very active "Mexican Only" illegal immigration policy and they to not want other latin countries using Mexico as a pathway to the US. Requiring visas and strict deportation laws are two methods of facilitating this policy.

The two army divisions along their southern border with Guatemala also helps.

I haven't found any sex clubs in Cuba, where are they?80% of all hookies in Panama City are Colombians, and a small number of Dominicans.

Outside PC their numbers are below 25% I guess. Panama girls go "working"in Europa as they don't need a schengen area visa for 90 days;-) But their numbers are small. Most latin hookers in Europe come from Colombia,. Brasil, Venezuela or the DR.

I'm fuckin' tired of broke ass fools!!! These sons-of-b*tches and daughters-of-wh*res are really pissing on my Wheaties. I'm not fuckin' rich nor wealthy and it seems that these vichos (leaches) swim in the same tide searching for carne (meat) that may yield sangre (blood.) ¡Chucha!

The First Episode: That broke-ass fool I wrote about a few days ago ended-up spending all of his money on putas at the majestic casino. When I saw him last he was heading to Tocumen, and when I arose he was at my Marbella door bags-in-hand. ¡Chucha! This was on Monday. So here I have some extra weight loafing around the condo for 2 days. Yeah, I like partying if I pay for me and not thee. Nonetheless, I gave him some scratch to return back north after securing re-payment terms.

The Second Episode: Every Wednesday I have a maid come to the condo and clean for about 5 hours. She calls me this morning and asks if she can have an advance. ¡Chucha!

The Third Episode: I know this bourgeousie, b*tch from an Ivy League school who does asset management here in Cd. Panama. This punk-ass-b*tch doesn't like me 'cause I keep it real. And I don't like that phony, toothpick shaped sl*t with her champagne demands and 40 oz. budget. She asked me for a temporary loan, which never are temporary, for whatever. Fellas', I opened-up a can "Whoop-Ass" that only Stone Cold Steve Austin can challenge. And she "Knew Her Role." (WWE reference.) ¡Chucha!

Occupationally, I'm a financier and deal with naive prospects and clients 8 hours per day. I'm forced to hear nonsense, ridiculous, and foolish business practices and aspirations so when I hear culeros (assholes) socially asking me for money it really makes me blow-the-fuck-up!

Now, my girlfriend was here relaxing and waiting for some morning loaf only to witness these onslaughts. (She's already experienced my reaction since she too tried to "hit-me-up" for lana (money) one-time.) Charged-up like the energizer bunny, I knew I had to get physical! Of course I could have chosen to beat that pussy-up with my lodrillo (meat loaf,) but I wanted to have fun and not love or so she calls it. Therefore, La Mayor I went and she went to sleep.

Walking into the place two doors down from La Mayor, I saw all the usual wh*respects. I banged this thick and juicy pale Colombian girl before, but wanted to do some damage to a hymen. (Girls to me are like candy bars: Sometimes you want king size, sometimes you want funsize.) I walked right-up to this chapa (small girl) and told her I wanted to f*ck. I told her I ain't got time for that 15-minute bullshit and wanted an hour for $40. (Hell, after these "mo-fos" have been asking me for money all day, $40 was well worth my sanity.) Yeah, we fucked for an hour; I broke her spine; I got the number for home-delivery; washed my pipe; and I returned back home with the afternoon still available, a new attitude, and my girlfriend still sleep.

Thanks to seco rum and that wh*re, I was uplifted and resumed my business day with composure.

La Mayor is 24-hours and with over 100 putas available it's a fail-safe location.

When you take a cab directly to GT, the driver gets a $10 commission. If instread you have him drop you off at Noveys or even Popeye's and then walk over the rate is $84. Cabs are easy to find over there, often there will be one waiting, if not just walk out to the street and flag one down.

Biff, See Pty Seminole's recent posts in Panama City thread about the best love motels.

If you're pulling from Casinos and clubs and want something closeby, your best bet would probably be Los Arcos, based on Seminole's and Mr. Enternational's reports. Also, I've used Hotel Montreal; it's cheap and Colombian hookers sometimes hang around the place, but it's not available on an hourly basis. Both of these are close to the main freelancer spots and to Le Palace and Elite strip clubs. And neither is a "push button" type place, meaning you shouldn't have a problem getting a taxi when you leave.

If you're taking out a woman from Miami or Golden Time, I'd recommend you keep driving on Tumba Muerto away from downtown, toward the airport, until you get to Transmistica. Go to the right on Transmistica and there are love motels (push button) close to where the two highways intersect.

I'm planning another trip to PTY soon. I like the city much more than other central american cities. Can anyone tell me where I could find a chica friendly hotel with a pool? Last time I stayed at Las Vegas suites, but I'd prefer a pool.

Thanks

Tiny 12
02-02-08, 22:55
BaitandSwitch,

The Veneto and Marriott have pools and will let you bring a girl in without a surcharge, but cost a lot more than Las Vegas. Executive Hotel charged me $10 to register a guest, and they have a so-so pool. Hotel Montreal is extremely girl friendly, has a rooftop pool and is cheaper than Las Vegas Suites. If you're looking to bang someone in the pool you might be able to get away with it at the Montreal. I've stayed in all except the Marriott, and basically you get what you pay for -- the quality is comparable to the price. You can read about the Veneto and Marriott ad infinitum here. Executive Hotel is very close to Le Palace and has a 24 hour cafe that some of the dancers will come to around 5:00 AM. It's well run, and the street noise won't bother you as long as you run the A/C. It's not as girl friendly as the others. Montreal is a little run down; no problem at all bringing women back, and there's a bar on premises that from time to time has hookers. I have used the Montreal as a short time motel.

For what it's worth, I've brought women back to the Bristol and Miramar Intercontinental without being charged. But the Bristol reception gave me the third degree (they see an attractive looking woman with a Colombian accent and automatically assume she's a hooker. Well, O.K., they were right.) And I was discrete at the Intercontinental, so I don't think I really stress tested it.

Tiny 12
02-07-08, 00:13
I don't know why this slipped my mind, but if you're looking for a mid-priced place that's girl-friendly and you want a good pool, this is the best choice:

http://www.plazapaitillainn.com/insta_es.htm

I paid $50 a couple of years ago, although I note they're advertising $95 on their web site now. The nice thing about it -- it's right on the sea. I like the 10 foot high windows all the way around the rooms too, great views from some of the rooms, and kind of kinky when you're banging someone. The restaurant in the hotel is reasonably good. It's a few minute walk from Multicentro mall, which has some great restaurants and bars on the ground level, and from the bar in the Radisson, which is one of the coolest in the city. It's a little run down, but for the $50 I paid a great bargain. The biggest drawback, if the traffic is bad you're looking at 30+ minutes to get from there to the hotspots on Espana, and even longer to GT. But if you avoid traveling around rush hour, this is manageable.

Hey I'm planning a trip tp Panama city strictly for mongering. I have a few questions that have come across only AFTER reading most of this Panama forum.

I guess the las vegas hotel is best place for first time mongering? I'm looking for a nice hotel with casino under $80 with girls either coming or carried in allowed.

Would you say there are many options for hot girls around this area (is it a red zone or spread out? ) how much for typical Todo la noche or una Hora?

We have 2 of us spanish is second semester mongerspanglish. What about safety? Typical third world scene, no jewelry, stay out of slums, leave flower gringo shirt at home.

Any help would be nice. QR

Que Rico, I think you already answered some of your questions (Las Vegas Hotel is a good choice, your assumptions about safety are good) Take a look in Reports of Distinction to a link that I placed to Fantasy's map. This will show you the main mongering area and hotels in the area. I can't think of a place for $80 that's girl friendly and has a casino, but see some of the suggestions in the post. I'd also recommend Hotel Plaza Paitilla in that price range if you don't mind spending time in a taxi to get to mongering area.

In addition to the area on Fantasy's map, Golden Time and Miami in El Dorado are well worth visiting.

Prices -- you can pay $20 for a street walker up to $500 (including bar fine and drinks) at Le Palace and Elite.

07-14-08, 03:24
There are several beach opportunities in Panama. The most prevalent are the Pacific side beaches. There are many beaches and well developed resorts west of P-City, 1.5 to 2 hours west. The beaches are OK, with brown sand and dark green water. You can also take a 45-min boat ride to Taboga; it's much the same there.

You can fly 30 min to Contadora in the Pearl Islands in the Pacific. Supposedly nice beaches; I've never been.

3 hours north of P-City is Isla Grande in the Caribbean. Very nice, with white sand, crystal water, coral, but it's small and basically only two small hotels. It's a drag to drive there.

Perhaps the best beach opportunity is Bocas del Toro, a 1 hr puddle-jumper flight from P-City. Developed tourist industry, really nice caribbean beaches with white sand, clear water, with snorkeling and scuba available.

If your inquiry relates to chasing tail, I can't offer much advice, other than to say it's definitely not a target-rich environment. I've mostly seen families, bonded pairs, and mixed groups. If you speak spanish and got game, perhaps you could scrounge up something at the Pacific side beaches.

I'm in Panama City now. When you get here you buy a visa at the airport for $5. I'm pretty sure it's good for 30 days.

Come on down, this place is nice, crawling with Colombianas, but pricey, bring your bank.

Happy tales and tails guys...play safe. It's a pity we can't f*** them all.

I have noticed that doing a search for Panamanian females (18-30 years old, Panama City) returns a good number of attractive females with a single picture that are either implicitly or explicitly selling sex). I emailed some , but no response (yet).

Does anyone have any experience with this that could give me some information? Any other web sites that are effective for meeting chicas in Panama?

Thank you in advance for your help!

I came into Panama on 18 September and explicitly asked the immigration guy how many days I get. His answer was 90. As you will learn here, the law is one thing, any bureaucrat's interpretatiion and exercise of it is another thing. No where, either in my passport or the form you get from immigration, states I get 90 days.

My advice: ask the guy/gal when you enter: "por cuantos dias? Quiero 90, por favor". The new law (as of August, 2008) says Americans, at least, are entitled to 90 days but best to ask.

Thanks to Lome Togo for providing info. On an important matter.

It is no joke to show up at the airport ready to return home, bags packed, physically drained, and drained of money, only to be told by the airport officials that you need to go to the downtown Immigration Office (the next day), and get your papers in order before you will be allowed to leave the country! Believe me, it is no joke!

An ounce of prevention.

I entered Panama on September 3rd, 2008.

I received a tourist card when I picked up my plane ticket in Orlando. It is better to get this card when leaving the U. S. , so you do not have to stand in line in Panama to get one.

The Tarjeta de Turismo states (on the back).

This card enables the bearer to stay in Panama for thirty (30) days and may be granted an extension for an additional sixty (60) days, provided he or she is duly registered at the Foreign Registration Office within the Department of Immigration and Naturalization or ant other of its branches in the territory of Panama.

My stay in Panama was for about 38 days. I called the Immigration office after 25 days there saying that I would be staying for about 35-40 days total. I asked if I needed to go to the Immigration office to get my stuff in order so that I could leave with no problem. I was told that U. S. Citizens could stay for up to 90 days without the need to change anything. I read the back of the tourist card to the lady on the phone (in Spanish), and she said that the rules were that U. S. Citizens did not need to do anything to change their status if staying more than 30, but less than 90 days. I called a second time the next day. A different rep. From the same office (Main Immigration office in Panama City), gave the same info. I called again about 2 days before leaving. The response was the same. I asked this person if they were 100% sure, as I did not want problems at the airport. The voice responded 101% sure!

I just showed up for my return flight to the U. S. On day 38 of my stay in Panama, with my passport and original "untouched" tourist card that had been stamped 38 days earlier, and was granted passage with no problem.

If ever in doubt guys, just call the Immigration Office, or the immigration section at the Tocumen airport. I believe the number of the former is 507-507-1800.

I know there´s a pharmacy that sells Viagra or Cialis on via Espana, but can anyone tell me what's the protocol on acquiring some? Do I just march up to the pharmacy and ask for it straight out? Will they give it to me no questions or prescriptions asked? Does anyone know the price of a pill?

I tried looking in the papers for the person who sells vit v and c and so far no luck :(

Can anyone please help?

Thanks,

GBYou just walk up to the pharmacy counter and ask for "Sidenafil" (the generic name for Viagra). The last time I bought some was for $4. 79 a tablet of 50ml. At the El Rey supermarket pharmacy. The actual brandname "Viagra" was about $15. 00 for 50ml. I have never been asked for a prescription or even received a curious look from any pharmacist (male or female).

I'm not sure about Cialis since I have never tried it.

SarmaDepending on the day and time (from 8:00 pm. to 3:00 a.m.) of your arrival you could go to Miami or Golden Times on Dorado Area. If is in daylight you could go to Caribbean Center also on Dorado in front of Do it Center, ask the taxi driver for both places. I don’t know about a place nearby the airport. These places are like 1 hour from the airport depending on traffic and rush hour.

I'll be coming from Colombia to Panama City for a few days then returning to the USA.

Thanks for any info.I spent two days on different trips looking with no luck, asked everyone who might know. The closest I found was a barber shop in El Dorado right behind Miami club that had a girl doing massages.good massage, after a lot of talking did give a HJ, as the area was behind the barber chairs with only a curtain covering the door way had to be very hush hush there has to a real place with so many Chinese around, but they won't tell any nonChinese, if you find one please pass it along. I am arriving in Panama City at 1:00 am on the 26th of March. This is my first trip to the fabled land. I am staying at the Hotel Centro Americano (Av. Ecuador Y Justo Arosamena). Does anyone know if this hotel is Chica Friendly? Is this close to probable action spots? I do not drink and I am not inclined to hang out in bars. Soooo, where am I likely to score. I would probably prefer non-pros.

Thanks for any and all suggestions.

I’Ve taken a lot from this site in the past and would like to give something back, hope this helps people as much the site helped us on our trips. I tried to limit to only what we personally experienced.

Panama City in general:

• 100% use of US dollars

• Season of travel is very important. Most pros gone by Thanksgiving and return in (I believe) February?

• Seems like 90% of the workforce is Columbian

• Most of the places listed below can be Google mapped and they show up!

• Most Taxi drivers are pretty straight up, except the ones creeping around at night near the clubs. The establishment will charge you to pay their commission (usually $10). (Even if they do not really drive you there! ) when a Taxi follows you around anywhere near a club tell him to F-off

• If you take a Taxi to go most anywhere between the locations listed below, you should never pay more than $4, more like $3 max. (from El Cangrejo to El Dorado for example). Negotiate w/ driver before getting in

• You can walk pretty much anywhere in the Ground Zero Area, print out a map and start hoofin’

• There are police everywhere on the streets with SMG’s to protect you, the tourist, believe it or not. You will not be harassed by Policia, unlike other Latin countries, the will protect you from being harassed!

• Most of the Panamanians are great people. Very helpful and appear to be refreshingly honest

• We had a great time, awesome country!

Where to stay:

I would not stay too far from Ground Zero, which in my opinion is El Cangrejo area, between Veneto Hotel / Casino and Habano’s Cigar Bar (in that basic area) kind of centered on Via Espana street

This means for cheaper rooms: Las Vegas Suites Hotel (yes: companion friendly). http://www.lasvegaspanama.com/ *warning, do not let them stuff you in the "mini studio", a cracker box dump. My partner booked it for me and when I saw the single cot prison cell I went to the front desk and told them to F-off. If you’re going to stay here get the "studio" at least, about 60-70$/ night and descent. They don’t answer there emails so we had to call with a credit card and they were fully booked in early November (something about a national celebration weekend)

I ended up walking to the Veneto and got a walk in rate of around $210/ night for a nice suite.

http://www.wyndham.com/hotels/PTYWV/main. Wnt

Beautiful room, pricey, but worth it. Included a full blown breakfast/ brunch buffet. Probably get a cheaper rate if you book ahead.

I grilled the front desk on guests and was assured there would be no issues and. I had no problems.

Food:

OK restaurant across the street from the Veneto, cheap, descent food, good service and cold beers.

Martin Fierro Steak House, down the street from LV Suites, Calle Eusebio Morales, pricey but good.

Activities, by area and time of day:

1. Calidonia Area

• Afternoons, best before it gets too late in the evening

• Club La Mayor

• On Av Pablo Arasomena along the water in the fish market district

• Any taxi can get you here, no more than $2. 50 from Veneto w/ tip The taxi driver said "you don’t want to go there". This thread said some negative things also. Good motivation. This place is a 3 carrot gem in 2’ of grass (my opinion). A few dollars cover charge includes a couple of beers. All locals except me & my partner. Beer, shots, mixed drinks $1. 00-$2. 50. I settled on a dark skinned young modelo and by buddy got a euro looking tall thin cutey who accepted corn hole action. Negotiated for $35/ 1 hr. Excellent service, but the rooms were pretty gross. Got her # and called her a few days later but couldn’t see repeat with so much selection. Love this place! Dirty and cheap. Locals were cool too.

There are other clubs near La Mayor: Bar Hawaii, Bar Nicks, El Capitan, La Panamerica, Las Vegas Bar, Baro Boca Torena. I cannot vouch for these. We only had 3 days in P. C. , but next time I am going to do the full tour of Calidonia! (around Callle K & Av Central)

2. El Dorado Area

• Good from mid evening to later, around Midnight

• Have the taxi bring you to Casino Fantastic; go inside until he leaves, it works! (great advice from this thread)

• Walk to these from hear:

• Crazy Horse, between Fantastic Casino & Miami Club. $3 cover for (1) drink, seemed like $80-$90 for activities, did not stay to find out, sparse talent and questionable quality

• Miami, walk down Av 17 B Norte away from Blvd El Dorado and where you were dropped off at Fantasy Casino. At the corner of 72 ½ Oeste. Quantity good, quality good, can’t remember cover charge for a few drinks, $10ish? 45ish for a beer. Quoted at $95/ hour in house rooms incl. Seemed like a descent place although did not partake. Worth the walk, good atmosphere.

• Golden Times, long walk from Miami, but we did it, saved the taxi commission, $10 I think. A ***** to find, in a strip mall, expected to see a Trader Joe’s next door. Go back toward Crazy Horse & Fantastic Cas. Cross over Blvd El Dorado. Ask people walking around, guy waiting for bus gave pointed it out to us. $84/ 45 min. No taxi fee. Opens at around 7pm. Thai Massage style # cards on their chests, pick what you like and write it down. No bar, kinda boring for waiting if you get your rocks off first. Descent quant & qual.

3. Back to El Cangrejo, Ground Zero

• After 10pm starts jumpin.

• Habano’s Cigar Bar & Pool Hall, I love this place, across from the Marriot, walking from Veneto walk toward Crown Casino, turn right for a short jog and cross Via Espana at your own risk, quick left on 50 Este and it should be on your left at Ricardo Aragon. Ask anyone and they will point it out. A must experience, try to get there early to get a good seat. A lot of pros circulate here before working their way to Veneto at Midnight or so. Great Cigars, cheap beer and a pool tble, most important, plenty of poonany milling around the patio.

• Elite II, a little difficult to find, but walking distance from Habano’s. Down Ricardo Aragon, pass 50 Este and turn left on 49 este, right turn on the next street. Start asking around if you do not see or look for the stalking Taxis itchen for commission. Did not see that much that was all that great in there, our drinks from the cover and bailed, forgot how much, but too much.

• Crown Casino. Working back toward Veneto. Part of Continental Hotel. Wondered through that place for way to long and did not see any action? Did we miss something. Thread says good activity. Are we blind? Hmmm.

• Veneto Casino. Hands down I say the best, true Ground Zero. Analagy: the Del Rey of P. C. Advantage: I was staying there. Action starts at 11pm, clears by 5:30 am as I personally witnessed. Great selection, all sizes, shapes, colors. Some English spoken. Cheap drinks. A round of J. W. Blacks and beers, 3 people was around $10. Reminded me of old school Vegas. The pricing was a little wacked. They must have all gotten together for a strategy meeting on there last X-mas trip to Medelline. They all were start out wacked in the head at $150. 00. My reaction was always the same, immediate laughter. The stuck up douches that I wanted nothing to do with stormed off upon hearing my laughter. The more desperate or aggressive ones got a chance to see me drink a ¼ of what they were asking worth of booze in the 15 minutes or so that the sat there with a stubborn look on there face. That weeded out ½ of the preditors. The other half laughed when I laughed and sat with us and drank shots and enjoyed themselves. I got a good Vibe from Columbianas on that trip. I took them up as fast as the vitamin L would revitalize my blood vessels. Very, very fun. Good quantities, 6’s-9’s a plenty. The most I paid was 90 w/ propina and I got a desperado at 5am while she was droppin’ the last of her coins in the slots my last morning there for $60 with epic service and muy fresco, questionable quality though. You get what you pay for.

4. After breakfast activity, morning MP’s.

• All within walking distance from Veneto.

• Relax Oriental MP, tucked into a complex behind Blockbuster on Via Espana, $70ish 45 min or so?

• Oasis MP. Toward Via Espana after you leave the lobby of Veneto. Around $65 before 2pm, 45min, after 2pm goes to around $85.

• River Club. Near Relax O. MP. Did not look so good from the outside.

Depends when you come in.

Factor two hours to get out of the airport and get back to your gate, a little less to get out and a little more to get in.

That leaves you 4 hours. Subtract an hour for getting a cab, traffic, and the cab rides. Three hours.

Three hours is plenty of time to go Golden Times. You can even do two polvos in that time. Will you be able to be at GT between 7pm and 5 am?

Are you arriving in the after noon? Get there between 11am and 2pm and you can have the $50 lunch time special at Oasis. They don't close till 2am.

Feeling a little raunchy? Try Relax Oriental and River Club behind the Blockbuster Video on Via Espana. Good for afternoon and evening.

GT will be closed. If I were in your shoes, on my way to Cali where the women are cheap, beautiful and plentiful, I'd pick a good meal over a visit to a massage parlor, and would recommend Siete Mares. It's on Calle Guatemala in Cangrejo (the central business district). Try the cazuela de mariscos -- better than a bad blow job any day.

By the way, if you're stuck at the airport, I think Copa will let you use their club if you pay them a nominal amount. Or you can get in for free with a platinum American Express and a Copa or Continental boarding pass.

Heading west you'll find more traditionally latin-looking women, at least as a gringo or european would consider it: olive skin, straighter hair. I've also heard that people in Los Santos province are the lightest. I've never been there but have seen examples in the city. For example, that Latin American Idol chick is from Los Santos.

Hi Guys,

My first trip to Panama coming up 9/10, for 6 nights. I don't see a "Hotels" section here, so I'm wondering if anyone can give me a couple of recommendations. Has to be chica-friendly, in a nice area, and I can spend up to around $100. Am I being realistic? Thanks in advance!

At slightly above that price range I can recommend the following.

1. Hotel Ejecutivo -- Within walking distance to the top freelancer bars and high end night clubs. No street noise if you keep the A/C fan going (a big consideration for me in this area). $10 joiner fee if they catch you with a date. Location is downtown in the business district. Good restaurant. Rooms are a little run down, but comfortable and functional.

2. Plaza Paitilla -- Girl friendly, on the ocean, with a bit of a resort feel. The location can be a plus or a minus depending on your perspective. It's not far in terms of distance from some of the best mid and high end monger spots, but if the traffic is bad you'll be spending significant time in a taxi. On the other hand, it's close to a mall, the main drag beside the ocean (Balboa), and a great bar at the Radisson.

Others recommend Las Vegas and Torres de Alba in your price range -- I've never stayed at either of these two -- both are located close to good mongering venues. Las Vegas is more popular with mongers while Torres de Alba gets better reviews.

Is the Riande Continental chica friendly?

Thanks for any help.I stayed there twice about 5 years ago, and at that time it was very chica friendly. But I read a report here a year or two ago that indicated they wouldn't let working girls enter. I won't stay there again -- the street noise drove me nuts. If you don't get a reply from someone who's stayed there recently, try contacting Paisalov99, who reported he was there not long ago, and took a woman to his room.

Thanks Tiny, I'll check those out. Noise is a very important factor for me too - Extremely important!

Do people generally prefer to rent a car or use taxis? I'll be going to the beach maybe once or twice and the canal, but that's about it. I'm wondering what comes out cheaper, if my hotel includes parking.

In terms of area: El Cangrejo vs. Bella Vista/Marbella?

And since I'm getting in at night and like to hit the ground running, any suggestions as to where to break my Panama virginity? Thanks, guys!

I have been to the DR more than 30 times but I think Panama will be a better option for retirement. Since my wife will coming this time the usual mongering places will not be a good idea for vacation. Not that she is opposed to my having fun (since she is Dominicana she understands all that stuff) So any ideas on a vacation stay and any help on best places to look for home to buy would be appreciated. I was highly recommended the Torres de Alba, which is unfortunatly offering a great price right now because they are under construction starting at 7am (Told to me by the hotel as well as a friend who lives there). They say you can't hear it at buiding three but my girl there says it's a lie, so if you like to sleep past 7am I wouldn't bother.

I like Plaza Paitilla but it's not near enough to the action. Coral Suites gets so-so reviews and is high at $150. Las Vegas was recommended somewhere here but I'll be with a gf, so I'm not sure if it's nice enough.

Can SOMEBODY please help me with a hotel or two recommendation? Preferably in the Cangrejo area? I'll have plenty of times to slip out for some individual action so it would help. Thanks, friends!

Oh and I can pay $100 mas o menos.

Offbeat question but, does anyone know where to score some weed near downtown Panama City?

Many thanks

Well I ended up getting a double suite at the Coral for $112 all taxes and breakfasts included, through some brokerage website - PM me if you want the site.

And I think trying to buy weed in any another country is very stupid, among other things. Your embassy WILL NOT help you!

Thanks, guys!

You should think twice before buying weed in Panama.

The average Panamanian hates drugs.

It is probably their proximity to Columbia but the penalties are harsh and I doubt you would be leaving any time soon if caught.

The Navy randomly brings drug dogs on sailboats in Panamanian waters and they do it whether anyone is aboard or not.

Ok, here´s the scoop on Coral Suites: Good hotel, great staff, great location. Good deals, especially on hotels dot com, and little kitchenettes, very clean. Only drawback is a "chica fee" of $20. I just found out because they tried to charge it to me but my gf is registered with me so they couldn´t do it.

I am here with a girl I met on latinamericancupid. She is great, and I am having a blast - And you know all that talk about whether they are faking it or have 20 other boyfriends or are for real and all that? I don´t give a shit. I´m just having a blast, living moment to moment. It really works! And it isn´t costing me anything, beyond a few meals and cab rides. Do the math. It works.

go for the beach resorts. choices are decameron or playa blanca.
food and customer service is much better at playa blanca but night entertainment is better at decameron.
the rsvp restaurants at decameron are also great, but ill definately go for the buffet type of playa blanca

I have been trying to find credible sites to join but am apprehensive.

Any tips from anyone else are welcomed as well. Again, like the Doc I don't necessarily need to fall in love etc. I just want a steady that I can have loads of fun with upon arrival.

I have not posted much here for various reasons that are no longer operative, so I will post a little bit more to give back to the community. I will address a few issues that have been discussed here in the last few months.

1. I am here now.

2. Veneto is open for business. They had kicked out the chicas, but bar and casino business plummeted so that was reversed. Don't worry. They are everywhere now.

3. Someone addressed marijuana. If you take enough cab rides it will be offered to you. As it is highly illegal, and you don't want to wind up in a panamanian jail, I suggest that you decline.

4. From the downtown area, there isn't anywhere that you will want to go that would cost a panamanian in a cab more than $2. If you walk out of the front of the Veneto, they will quote you 10. 2 or 5 does not make a big difference to me, so my preferred methodology is to say, for example, "Golden Times, 5 dollars". They never say no and the extra three dollars buys someone who looks out for you for the night.

5. I don't like Golden Times. Yes the women are hot but in my opinion it is very cold, sterile, and professoinal.

6. Cabbies try to get you to to to Golden Times because they get $10 out of it. Same with Elite. Don't go to Elite, it costs a fortune.

7. Royal something or other (enchantment?) also pays cabbies, so they might take you there. It's $80 dollars and chicks are so-so, but there is a bar where the beer is cheap.

8. My personal favorite is Club Miami although it is widely panned here. It has that full strip club atmosphere. So that is just a matter of taste. Chicks not as good as Golden Times on the whole, but they are good and some are great. Price is $95. Beers are pricey at $5, and the chica drinks are $12. I have a certainly loyalty to the place also because there is a beautiful chica there I have taken out on nights she does not work for no charge. Very nice. Also, I once passed out there from too many Tequila Shots and woke up with my life, money, and passport all intact.

9. Panama City is very safe, just don't be a *******. I know people who have gotten in trouble, but that is because they go after street *****s to save a little cash, and the *****s later tell their gang-banger boyfriends about the gringo with $500 dollars in his pocket.

10. If you are down here for a long time, there is no need to pay if you speak spanish. Go to Bennigans on Thursday night. The local chicks start drinking there, and then go out clubbing nearby later. Just be straightforward. Remember, Panamanian men all treat them like crap. Look right at them, tell them you want to go out with them, but be polite and have a smile and you will have no problemo.

11. Nobody even consider buying property here without talking to me first. And, I have no interest in receiving a million inquires from all you fellow perverts who dream about living here but never will. If you are deadly, deadly serious and are moving here for sure, PM me. Even most panamanians have no idea how to navigate the title and land registries. I can help you-but only if you are here and you are serious, I don't have the time for casual inquiries.

A couple of comments about your point 11.
Buying titled property in Panama is very easy, especially compared to Colombia and Nicaragua, from my experience.

Find the property you want.
Get the Finca, Toma and Folio number from the title.
Go to https://www.registro-publico.gob.pa/
Enter the number in the form and you'll see a complete listing of the transactions for that particular property.
Take the information to a Real Easte Attorney and let them do the rest. Do not use an Attorney picked from sites directed to expats moving to panama. There are several large firms that specialize in property transfers like Motta or Fonseca. The Attorney will do everything from transfer, registration and exoneration if it applies.
You can also purchase Title Insurance to be extra sure....(American Title).

NEVER use anyone who claims to be a Panama real estate expert unless they can give positive references that you can verify.

I've lived here for 16 years, bought 5 properties, sold 2, and have watched time and time again expats being seperated from their money by instant experts.

Excellent post, I didn't know that was online. Yes, it is easy if you just take the basic steps- but most people don't.

Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has made a shell company in Panama? I have overseas business and would like to transact it through a shell company in a more tax-friendly country.
Naturally I am a little concerned about maintaining control of the company and not having someone run off with my money.
I would also like to find out local prices. I see places advertising online for thousands of dollars seems like a few hundred a year should be enough?
The total amount is probably on the order of $50,000 a year, so not a huge amount, money coming from the EU (UK especially), but also Singapore, China, and Japan. So I am thinking my tax liability on this is about $7,000 a year so if the expense of mainaining the company and bank account to repatriate the money eats up a significant portion of that I guess it might not be owrth it.
So any info on ease/difficulty of receiving international wires in a Panamanian bank would also be appreciated.
Please let me know if you have actual experience with doing this or know of someone wh has done this and succeeded/failed etc.
Thanks!

Based on your posts on the Thailand board, I'm assuming you're a U.S. citizen. If that's not the case, you can ignore what follows.

You do not want to do what you describe below. If you are planning to try and hide behind the anonymity of a shell corporation, you should realize that the IRS is on the warpath, in Panama and everywhere else. Do a news search in Google. They are opening an office in Panama City. The potential penalties if you get caught are ridiculous -- for example, if your company has a bank account and you don't declare it to the U.S. Treasury Department, their current policy is to take $10,000 PER YEAR or 50% of the maximum value in the account FOR EVERY YEAR you have the account open, whichever is greater. And they can screw you over even worse if they want to -- the maximum penalty for failure to report a foreign account is $500,000 per bank account per year and one year in jail, I believe one year of jail time for every year and every account for which you fail to file the form. There are also other penalties, for failing to report your beneficial ownership of a foreign corporation, and penalties and interest on unreported taxable income -- income from certain sources that's taxable to you, the shareholder, even though it was realized by the foreign corporation. If you're caught, you may be stuck paying an amount considerably in excess of the value of your foreign business.

On the other hand, if you're not trying to evade taxes, and you're willing to file the forms required to stay legal, there are potential tax savings to be had from owning a foreign corporation. However, given the cost and hassle and accounting expense, for $7000 per year you should abandon this idea.

Greetings everyone! I live here in Panama and visit the Veneto often. What I have found is that there is no consistancy in regards to letting the Colombiana's in the door. Some days, they turn them all away even if they are with a guy. Other days they let them in. The normally fat, and oftentimes homely Panamanian women are let in with no problem. I guess if the women is pretty it is assumed they are an import and not let in. Also, on Friday and Saturday nights, the place is full of Panamanian's playing big shot with their homely girlfriends/wives. The Panamanian women HATE Colombiana's with a passion. Thus on weekend's the Colombiana's are not usually welcome. I have also noticed that they will let in the Colombiana's later at night, when most of
the Panamanian families have left. This occurs around midnight or a bit later.
For about the last year or so, the Veneto has been going downhill in regards
to the number of girls in the place. I feel they really don't want them there.
I know that is stupid as it reduces business from the Gringo's, but as a whole,
most Panamanian's are not that bright and really do not know how to run a successfull business.

Paesano63

I've been to the Veneto Casino many times and they try to discourage the Colombianas from hanging around the bar area, but you can easily spot the working colombianas sitting in front of a slot machine looking bored and try to make eye contact.

And there are many beautiful Panamanian women. I've scored many a student or working mom. In the Veneto. Try walking around the slots arteas or walk around the stage where the live music draws the local women.

Please forgive my long delay - I haven't looked at this board for awhile. I would recommend Tagged.com and latinamericancupid.com. I have gotten great sex, a few girlfriends, and some good friends from both these sites. Good luck.

Now, if anyone can recommend a really nice hotel in the central area (up to around $150 or so) I would really appreciate it. I like Coral Suites, just looking for a change and something a little more luxurious. Thanks.

The rumors of the demise of action at Habamos and Venetto(not being chica friendly) are false. The only caveat is that there are less women working at Venetto and Management stops you to sign them in if they see you bringing in a worker. Plenty of fun awaits you!

In the process of my researching where I want to monger next, I like to check out a destination from various angles. What I don't want to do is allow pussy or my libido to cloud my judgment (even if that is what I wish to satisfy for the most part).

I don't mean to rain on anybody's party but I'm wondering if any Panama full-timers would find accurate the following post I found on an expat website.

Some might consider this guy a spoiled American crybaby while others not:

"Retired"

Gents, I moved to Panama 1 year ago, but I'm back in FLORIDA.

Oh, where to begin.........

PANAMA is a beautiful country, USA is more beautiful!

People are friendly, 95% in Panama City do NOT speak English, and that includes the "service" people.... that leaves 98% of Panamanians OUTSIDE of PC do NOT speak English.

I don't know where to begin..........

My partner is Panamanian and I speak broken Spanish, so language is not an issue for me.

EVERY aspect of trying to get something done is a major problem!

Getting a drivers license: 2 months with 6 trips to various governmentt agencies.

Auto Registration: 2 months of inspections, paperwork and various agencies.

Opening a Bank Account: 3 months of something they call "DUE DILIGENCE" which you will hear while trying to get ANYTHING done legally in PANAMA.

ALL documents from you MUST be originals (they do NOT believe in copies), MUST be notorized, certified by the Panamanian Consulate in the USA and sometimes stamped by the American Embassy (which is another PAIN) in Panama.

We purchased a new Panama City High-rise with cash......still took 3 months of paper-work, requested documents from the USA.

Shipping our car, furniture, personal belongings, setting up the apartment, buying furniture, appliances, and getting installers to do all the work was a joke of monumental proportions!

The people in Panama drive like NASCAR with NO regard to SAFETY. If you are in the left turn lane waiting for the traffic light or on-coming traffic, they will go around you and pull in FRONT of your car and make the turn before you. That's why there are few traffic lights in a city of 1 million! We have been rear-ended while stopped twice in 6 months!

There is NO organiztion, responsibility, concerns, discipline, or anything else that would make sense to a "normal" person......these people don't care about anything but "partying"...which always happens during any of the dozen or so holidays Panama celebrates which completely shuts down the country for days at a time, sometime ALL week, depending on the holiday.

I could not take living in Panama another day.

To top it all of, on October 17, 2009, my partner, Marco Martinez was murdered in our PC high-rise.......he is the poster two posts above, so you can see, that even though this happened, I am not biased against Panama, because Marco (and he is Panamanian) wanted to move back to Miami, as I did. Unfortunetly, we didn't get out before this happened to Marco.

Panama has NOTHING to offer Americans. Panama City is actually MORE expensive than Miami

so don't let anybody tell you Panama is cheap..IT IS NOT!........

We traveled all over the country for 12 months and did not find anything that impressed us about the people or the country!

I would NOT recommend Panama to anyone.

Panama is more developed and technologically advanced compared to the other Central American countries......which is VERY sad for Panama, because they will stay in the past.

The roads are horrible, pot holes everywhere, cops stop you for no reason to "shake you down" for money.....I was stopped at least 6 times for NO infraction, they just pulled me over because I'm American and they think we are all rich, so they were paid between $20-$60 each stop.

STAY AWAY FROM PANAMA...............

And since I'm being honest about Panama, I'm sure some of you will not like some of my comments, but I speak the truth!

Good Luck with whatever your decision is!

high speed internet costs the same as in north america ( 55 bucks a month ) for a lesser speed ( 1.8 mega) and you must sign a contract for 12 months minimum.

rent or housing northamerican standard runs from 800 to 2 000 dollars a month.

security is low because of the high unemployment or underemployment and you will see security guards at all banks and shopping centers and middle class stores.

homes in the suburbs display 8-feet walls dressed with barbed wire and barking dogs .

but, if you venture to the interior ( boquete or david in the province of chiriqui towards costa rica border) it is a different panama, more quiet , less crime, less expensive.

if i had to return to live in panama, david or boquete ( all-time spring weather) would be my first choices.

I totally aggree on this report, however, it only took me a few days and found out that Panama is not on my list to re-visit. It sucks and I did not even like it there one bit. The total time sucks. If you don't believe me, just visit and you will find out.

I'm a long term full-timer, and I essentially agree with all of his points, although they're probably more negative than how I would characterize them. P-City isn't Miami. It is chaos, filled with very unfriendly people compared to the rest of latin america.

Everything you do is harder to do here than in the US, except for finding pussy, and other vices well regulated in the US (drinking, gambling). Compared to other latin american countries, I feel it's safer, and more US-like.

And the interior is much more calm and filled with friendlier people.

But what he complains about relates to living and running a business here. I don't see anything in the post that should discourage anyone from mongering here.

The people in Panama drive like NASCAR with NO regard to SAFETY

I disagree completely on this. More like Death Race I'd say

See earlier post for context.

I agree with "retired" with his assessment of Panama as a country to settle down and live for few years. I went to Panama looking to buy some property but gave up on it as i saw early on into the process that I do not have patience for it. It is still a typical third world mentality with a bit more financial stability than the neighbors. Having said that, apart from the murder issue, the other frustrating things he mentioned are minor and could be ignored or you get used to it. On the flip side, for a foreigner wanting to settle in USA, life is not going to be easy the first year either.

Moving on to Mongering, Panama IMHO is a fantastic destination for our hobby. Compare to say, San Jose CR, Panama city is safer, cleaner, better restaurants clubs, hotels and most importantly few smoking hot Colombianas. So go there for a week, have fun and get out.

"Retired" did not mention the most painful part of Panama for me: Humidity. It is high all year round but if you hit at the wrong season, you are fucked. And getting fucked by nature is not something I could get used to.

Hello,

I can't claim to be an expert on living in Panama so please excuse me if this report is unwanted, but as the son of a man who has been living there for 10 years and being kept abreast of his efforts in obtaining his current "Pensionado" status and working on citizenship (he currently owns property) I can say that reports from members like Vitrea, Tp Horn and Biff Dangler all hold true with the things I have heard from my father. It is NOT an easy process or for those who are not positively sure that Panama is the country for them. My old man has extensive experience in all of Central America and has been going there off and on (for business and personal reasons) for the past 30 years. He originally retired to Costa Rica to quickly found that it had been spoiled by tourism. He chose Panama due to superior overall infrastructure and security as well as benefits afforded to pensionados. Bottom line, it was a personal choice just as all must make after weighing the options but an informed one. Take it for what it is :) I have an acquaintance who also has extensive experience in Latin America and he chose Honduras and loves it there, he leaves his family there and travels outside for business.
My experience in Panama (I've been there several times but never for more than two months at a time) is pretty much in line with what Victorn posted: there is PC and Panama, very different places. Personally, IMHO the capital is fun to visit with lots to do there. Good P4P action but expensive and many good clubs, bars and restaurants, etc. I wouldn't even think about buying property in PC unless I had business there on a regular basis. Most of my time was spent in Chiriqui and a little of the interior. I found Chiriqui to be very much to my liking as you can read in some of my posts. The people are mostly very warm and friendly, I have met several people that I consider to be very good friends and never treat me as "the rich gringo." Of course there are those that do view me that way but they are easily avoided. The P4P action is not as abundant in Chiriqui but if you have a working knowledge of the language and are friendly, it is not necessary. There are many pretty Chiricanas who would love to have a gringo boyfriend, not just because they want your money but because they love to be treated as human. If you only want a piece of ass then it will get around and there won't be a shortage of putas available as in any other place on earth. Personally, I haven't had a problem getting laid in Chiriqui by putas or "normal" girls, depending upon the situation. Of course there are also cathouses available although nowhere near the quality of the strip clubs in PC. In summation I would say that for straight mongering PC is the place in Panama, go and enjoy for a weekend or maybe a week but bring plenty of cash but for living and finding some good, quality ass Chiriqui can't be beat in that country. For what it's worth, my $.02.

[QUOTE=Doc Bill]Please forgive my long delay - I haven't looked at this board for awhile. I would recommend Tagged.com and latinamericancupid.com. I have gotten great sex, a few girlfriends, and some good friends from both these sites. Good luck.

I have also found these web sites to be very productive for introductions with some quality latinas, especially in the DR and Colombia. For Colombia, the best site I found was colombiancupid, the response rate to my introductory emails was phenomenal!!!

Your last sentence said it all; if they allow girls in, they loose money on the potential gaming revenue cause Gringos like me leave with them. In addition, it was noted in an earlier post that the Columbianas were stealing from the hotel. There may be other reasons as well. If not allowing Columbianas in makes it more desireable for their country's peoples, then maybe they get more of them in to game. The casino doesn't get a cut of the Columbiana action, so why should they bother? Just MHO.

Making my first trip to Panama soon, staying at Torres de Alba Aparthotels near Veneto. Anyone know if this hotel is GF? I have RTFF and viewed nothing on this particular hotel.

Any info appreciated.

Hey Guys,

I have read the reports, but for those of you who have been to San Jose AND Panama City, I would like your opinion.

I have been to San Jose 6 times. I like to stay at Hotel Presidente (90. 00 a night) and I like to hang out at Del Ray. I tend to stay away from the MP's.

Knowing this, where would you stay in PC that is close to places like the Del Ray in SJ? I would just like to be within walking distance or 5 minute taxi ride from everything.

If it's not out of your price range, my first choice would be the Veneto. Hotel Ejecutivo (Executive Hotel) is around the same price and level of quality as the Presidente, and charges a $10 joiner fee if they catch you coming in with a date. Others here have recommended Torres de Alba, which also costs about the same as the Presdente. Finally, Las Vegas Suites is cheaper than the preceding, but not as nice either.

All of the above are well located, within walking distance or short taxi ride of the hotspots, except for Golden Time and Miami Club. All are girl friendly unless something has changed.

I have lived in Panama, in Chiriqui, for 5 years. I am married now and mongering is not high on my list of priorities. Let me say in the highlands of Chiriqui it is fresh year round and at sea level it is hot and humid.

Pop. Density is low in the highlands so a guy looking for action will find it lacking. A friend found a solution, rent in the highlighlands and at the same time rent in a sea level city (David). This way you enjoy the best of both worlds.

I have found Panama to be safe and peaceful but if you look for trouble it will find you, just like anywhere. Like the US, real estate has been hit but not so hard. Rentals are easy to find.

In any destination if skin is easy to comeby it can indicate that poverty is abundant but so too is the risk factor. These destinations work fine if you are a tourist on a short vacation but do not work well for extended stay visitors.

A young guy with an excess of testosterone might find Panama boring but an older guy cruising into retirement might find it enjoyable. Panama is ideal. With the pensionado program offered by the govt. You get a 25% discount on air fares. Panama City is the hub for Copa Airlines. If, for example you travel to Europe from Panama and you book with a locally based travel agent, you get a 25% discount on all tickets booked here. You get 15% discount on restaurants, hotels and other things. Not bad when you consider Panama is cheap to begin with. I pay no income taxes, and no property taxes (20 yr. Exemption) and enjoy the best climate on the planet. Life could be worse.

The town I live in is a healthy mix of expats and Panamanians. You see plenty of older guys with stacked 20 yr. Olds hanging from their arms and pockets filled with viagara.

What is better the people in Panama are passive. If you get in a shouting match they will always back off. That means that the majority of crime is nuisance crime like breakins. Murders are rare.

Remember that Panama is only a 2-1/2 ride from Miami so you are still close to home base and yet centrally located to other interesting destinations like Cuba or Colombia. Believe me you could make a far worse decision than moving here.

dont blindly trust on this. Panamenians ARE NOT passive, depending on the area where you are, and the status of the person you are shouting with(high or drunk)you will be tangled in fisticuffs or worst...

i am a guy that has lived here more than 5 years. i know what i am talking about. the average panamanian will avoid confrontation. they will also avoid going up against authority figures. i have been in community actions where the local mayor had to be confronted. the panamanians, without exception disappeared into the woodwork. if you have a business dispute, poor quality work etc. and ***** they will back off as they are unaccustomed to confrontation. this is unlike anything i experienced in central america. i have witnessed police reluctant to take on an out of line protester. in any other central american country the offender's head would be billy clubbed. i have seen people go out of their way to offend locals, and, in any other central american country they would be dispensed with by the offended parties and their acquaintainces.

i temper this with caution. if you are an arrogant son of a ***** that has no respect for the rights of others, eventually you will have your come uppance. if an intruder breaks into your house and you shoot him, expect to see the family come for revenge. a lot of it is applying common sense and treating people with proper respect.

i have experienced little animosity from local people and a tolerance for foreigners i have not seen elsewhere.

go to a bar and get into a dispute with a drunken local, the rules change. go to the wrong part of town and the rules change again just as they do back home.

go to laceiba honduras or san jose cr and walk around at night and compare that to panama. big difference. push the envelope anywhere and there will be inevitable problems. you are much more likely to come out unrep001hed in panama that other locations. that is my point.

tourism and residency is a priority in panama. if a gringo is killed or injured here it will be investigated and someone will go to prison.

First, allow me to say that I have never lived permanently in Panama but my father has lived in Chiriqui for the past 15 years and I visit frequently. I don't know if I would classify all Panamenos as "non-confrontational," but I have noticed that if one stands up for oneself (especially if one is in the right) they do not push the issue. It helps if one can speak a little of the language but not really necessary. Of course common sense is necessary and self-restraint goes a long way. Acting like a complete asshole is likely to get you in trouble anywhere.
I also have found that foreigners are very well tolerated and even given a little more leniency in some respects. The locals seem to understand that foreign dollars bring opportunities for many and we "dumb gringos" can't be expected to automatically understand their way of doing things. Even locals that are not fond of foreigners are unlikely to initiate trouble, they prefer to treat us as if we were invisible and go about their business.
I will say that there are many that look at a foreigner as a walking wallet and will be quick to offer "friendship" and assistance as long as the beers are paid for and you might be able to "help out" a little with a loan, but there are some who would never dream of accepting money even if offered as a gift. Personally, I believe that kind of false friendship is found here in the states as well maybe just not as often.
Overall I quite enjoy my time in Panama and especially in Chiriqui. It is definitely in my top three of places to retire so far. For what it's worth, my $.02.

Agree, if you arent being a real dick with people around you wont get into trouble
