Week in Yangon.

First trip to Yangon. Just under an hours flight from Bangkok. Thai Airways 8,000 baht return. E-visa online $50. Picked up Telenor simcard, and speed was good. Airport Taxi to Park Royal hotel was 8,000 Kyat.

Park Royal Hotel, breakfast buffet was good, rooms on roadside are noisy, ask for one overlooking swimming pool. Wi-fi was decent. Lobby bar had happy hour 6-9 pm, and great Chinese.

Restaurant on second floor. Hotel was guest-friendly, but ladies need to have ID card. Basement nightclub called Club 5 had approx 20 ladies every night, free-lancing, they were asking $100 longtime, but this was negotiable. Their English speaking skills was weak. They were there from 8 pm onwards.

Ice bar in basement of Sedona Hotel had a few freelancers, and a great Philippine band in the evenings.

Pioneer Club at Yangon International Complex had a lot of ladies working, but venue was so smoky, and music so loud (techno type tunes) I didn't hang around long. Their is a second room adjoining main dance floor where a lot of ladies hang-out. Outside their was a busy Black Canyon restaurant too.

My favorite venue was JJ's, all the taxi's know it. Lots of ladies inside, also groups of ladies in traditional dress dancing for tinsel. Freelancers were requesting $80 in there. A couple didn't have ID, and their English was not very good. The only negative with this place was from lady escorting you upstairs, waiter. Toilet attendant, lift operator, they all hang around for a tip. When you sit down, you get get bombarded with groups of girls, you have to be quite blunt and choose one you want to stay, and send the others on their way. A few local guys dancing and drinking inside too.

I never got to Emperor's but did walk past it in the daytime, round the corner from Chinatown. Saw a couple of massage shops in Chinatown with young girls sitting outside, that looked like they had potential.

Facebook and Wechat doesn't seem to have impacted on Yangon yet, most girls had Viber. I had a great week, loved the food there, and its not nearly so touristy as Thailand. If you are after sophisticated conversation and nudity then definitely not the right place for to go) but if you want something different, then Yangon is an interesting city.

I went to the 3rd floor massage Narawee or something similar, I had read that a HJ was 20000 kyat + oil massage fees (some said they were offered with traditional massage).

Paid the 17000 for the oil massage and had a mediocre massage with a 25 year old cutie (she looked younger than 25 to me), she asked if I wanted a 'special' massage for 30000. Decided I could have gone to Shwe de gone hotel and paid a for a 35 k oil massage with a 20 k for extras, so oped out as I wasn't too into it.

Nice girl though, washed me up and there appeared to be no hard feelings. I respect if she won't do less than 30 k, but I wasn't ready to pay more than 20 k, so that was that.

That was all to report unfortunately. Read a lot about the oil massage in Shwe gone hotel, and heard rumors of a nasty brothel on the 6th floor of Mingalar theater on the same block as emperor. Supposed to cost somewhere between 23 to 30 k together.

You are absolutely right! The thing that was off putting about JJ's is the sheer amount of guys hanging around outside I really don't understand why they have so many boys / young men outside the establishment. My taxi driver a respectable family man was scared shitless because of the mafia outside JJ's $80-100 is honestly pretty over priced for these girls I am thinking that the mama sans get most of that most of these girls live in like a share house with the mamas so they expect that payment when they pick them up. The overpriced nature of Myanmar nightlife is maybe my biggest issue but it was interesting and something different and maybe if its only once in a while worth it.

Emperor is kind of better than JJ casue you don't have that pressure from the men hanging around in Emperor but a tip is to get there early before all the fashion show bullshit starts prices at Emperor are the same as JJ's there must be some price fixing happening in Yangon ATM. The girl I picked though was super GFE she allowed Creampies and anal and extremely friendly at Emperor compared to the JJ girls which were trying to get out the door as soon as I came. Visited Emperor Club on Thursday 25 August. The entrance fee is still 5,000 kyats. You get a coupon for a free drink. There were around 50 girls of all sizes for around 10 punters. Was surrounded by a few. Most girls hardly speak English. One girl held my hand for quite a while and all she could say was 'I love you' 3 or 4 times. Some requested to buy them water.

I selected one girl called D D. She started with 80,000 kyats and said she will stay till 6. 00 am She also indicated she will allow anal and 4 shots will morning.

Left the club at around 10.00 pm And got a taxi to hotel for 2,000 kyats. No problem at the hotel to get the girl in. Did her 3 times from 10.00 p. M to 01.00 am She was enjoying as much as I did. She was wet as soon as I fingered her and her nipples were hard in no time.

Then she got a phone call and wanted to leave. I told her she had agreed till 06.00 am She said she needed to go and accepted to reduce her fees to 60,000 kyats. I let her go.

I have to be honest I wanted to see how far they would take this and it cost me 30000 kyat so I could submit this report. I also assume this is not limited to night life and their obsession with bills that are not used or dirty is a real thing.

First of all I agreed to 40 k (+20 k) just because I just got here to Yangon and it was about 1 pm. So this guy on the bridge over the intersection near emperor in China town. He shouted at me in English and asked me where I was going. I ignored him at first but he was persistent. We all know that means set-up but to what extent? They try and scam you out of $5 here and there in Myanmar peanuts compared to prices in Bangkok sometimes I just let the shit happen if its less than 10% and I'm not in the mood to argue. You could say that I am contributing to a price hike but sometimes I'm not in the mood to crusade. Lets get to the scam.

So we get in this really rundown room Asia Girl Spa? Its in a building on the same street as emperor quite ways up from it. He tells me to wait and he brings in 2 girls which are 2/10 at best so I pass. He then brings in a 7 and some 6's so I take the best looking one for 60 k. They proceed to crowd me and I hand them the money 10 k at a time. After I personally counted out 60 k they looked at one of the bills and proclaimed that it was dirty and they wanted a replacement this was the misdirect and they pocketed 30 k, which I honestly lost track of, they managed to successfully misdirect me. I was confused for like 2 seconds there. So they asked for 30 k to which I protested naturally and called them out on it but with no evidence of the latter I was kind of SOL in a backroom of this brothel. But this was their scam / set-up so I decided to see what would happen if you paid that extra 30 k and it continued as a normal session and when I came out they were no where to be found. Much later on I had to cross the bridge and the guy had the balls to ask me how it was. I think that since sex is provided that these potential marks kind of brush it off since its such a poultry amount that gets scammed. They will also try to relieve you of another 3-4 k ($2-$3) for a condom and wet wipes (sanitary this is not, that's for damn sure).

If you come to Yangon just go to these places yourself and avoid the touts they are only after like $10-15 unlike Tokyo where the scam can cost you upwards of 1000-2000 but you already know this story so avoid this guy and any touts for that matter.

Right now they are asking 80 k ($67. Come on pretty affordable now) almost across the board. Pay the 80 After the deed is done and some will try and do a runner actually I kick them out when done I don't want them to hang around unless we have some sort of chemistry. Emperor is dark as fuck so bring something to light up their faces with. They will ask for TAS-E money but if they short time its 80 k its the same price as long time so that's up to you when you want to kick them out and tip or not I don't tip if they stay short time but that's just me. There were like 30-40 girls there ranged from good to too old, some are pretty pushy don't be afraid to roam around its dark as fuck so they probably won't see you sitting down and will not come over. That being said I never make it past Emperor because I always find something there. Compared to pioneer where the girls were very worst for ware super old and very hardened and turned out. Emperor has girls that aren't star fish I don't know if they tell them to not be but they will go through the motions of moaning and writhing which I enjoy.

I always have disasters in shady brothels and success at these churn and burn type establishments maybe it just suits my needs better.

Visited Emperor Club again on Saturday night at around 11.45 pm It was already closed. There were few taxis near the Mingalar Cinema who proposed girls and asking for same price as the one in Emperor Club. The girls looked old, will not allow kissing and will not do BJ etc.

Was walking along the road where there is Emperor. As I had read in previous posts, there is some action on the 6th floor of the building where there is Wang Fu Seafood restaurant and Mingalar Cinema. Tried my luck there. As you enter the building, there are two escalators to the restaurant. On the right, you have lifts. The place is on the 6th floor. As soon as I reached there, I came down within minutes as the quality was really very poor.

Be weary of taxi's with large cargo space in the back compartment, shaped like a station wagon. Men can hide under a dark blanket, and then, mug the unsuspecting passenger in the backseat. Do not get in if you cannot see clearly of an empty space or if there is a second passenger already in the front seat.

Having RTFF and considering the easier proximity to my hotel, am planning to target Emperor for hunting..Cover is 5000 but suggest you get private room for 15000, not expensive and that way it's well lit. You can order a drink, have different line-ups and not deal with the crowds and dance show. Ask one or two to sit with you to see if they meet your standards and of course negotiate on every detail or else they'll jump ship after one pop. Get there by 8:30 Enjoy.

Yes, the Best Western Chinatown is girlfriendly. Girl must give her ID Kert tu Rezeption and get back when leave. Emperor was ok but more girls in the JJ disco. Parkroyal only a vew girs and noch so beautifull. In Parkroyal they want 100 US $ for short time. Creazy.

I was in Yangon recently and stayed at the United Grand 21 in Chinatown. No problem bringing a date back. Just leave the ID with the guard downstairs. Lobby is on the 4th floor, so no walk of shame. Pulled a cute spinner from Emperor for a 2 pop. She stood firm on 80 k kyet ($60 USD). She did a good job and was a lot of fun.

Emperor was an interesting setup. Pretty packed with freelancers. I'd estimate 50-60 ladies floating around. Mostly Japanese and Chinese mongers. I was lucky and found a couch near the back bar on a corner. Was able to get a good look at all the passing talent.

Overall, I had a good time and would return if the opportunity arises.

I was also there last week. Seemed all of Mingalar Mon where JJ Entertainment was located has been shut down. As it was the best place in Yangon it is very negative development for a city that was already struggling. Some taxi driver said there is another large place, but that it is 35 minutes out of town. Unfortunately I could not go then and could not find him again later, so I don't know the veracity of this.

I also passed through Keng Tung. I didn't find any action there, but didn't try very hard. It's a very rural place.

Stayed at Hotel Melia, a new large modern hotel. There is a mall next to it and in the mall there is a club (Fuse or Fusion? Upper class Burmese, no p4 p I could see. Melia seemed relaxed about bringing in girls, didn't even stop them for ID. Near Melia there is BME club, not so far to Pioneer (which I find over rated) and a couple of other similar places.

I was in Yangon last Saturday. Emperor has increased its entrance fee from 5,000 Kyats to 8,000 Kyats. The entrance fee still includes one drink. Girls are still quoting 80,000 kyats for whole night which means 3 to 4 hours, E. G. , from 10 pm To 1 or 2 am, depending on your negotiation skills, usually 2 pops.

Thanks.The one on Google map in Chinatown is correct. Emperor is on Shwedagon Pagoda Road between Maha Bandula and Anawratha Road. I stayed at the Hotel Grand United 21st on Anawratha Road and 21st Street. Bringing a lady back is no problem. The lift is on the ground floor and reception is on the 4th floor. Just smile and wave at the security guy at the entrance and head up to your room. Have fun.

It's not 1984, a HIV+ test is not a big deal, she can go on treatment to lower her viral dose & come back, it's safe to assume that a good % of sexually active girls are HIV +, generic Truvada is cheap (Thailand Govt brand is $30/ month), if used daily. It should work better than a condom, as long as you stay from A+/ Period.

As for HIV+ girls, its important to have them start treatment so they can live a normal life & it lowers the viral dose, its better to have sex with an HIV+ girl who is on treatment, than a girl that wants to hold on to her unknown status (high viral dose = higher risk of infection + poor health).

I stayed 4 nights in Yangon and pretty much had a girl every night. I stayed in Best western chinatown.

Night 1- Went to emperor around 8 pm. Met a nice lady at around 8:10. I was out by 8:20. Day 5: My flight was in the evening. Found out about couple of massage place with HJ in day time. L*der spa at excel tower level 4 and another spa at level 3. This info was from other forum.

Other misc info: Taxi guys who work for best western chinatown and some bell boys can arrange girl. They pestered everynight when I go out. There is also local brothel near mingalar cinema / wung fu restuarant, taxi drivers before these establishments pester you to take their girl. Koreans are the kings. On night 3 , I saw 20-25 girls lining up near them to get picked. This happened thrice during the night. Quite funny. Quite a pandemonium when they enter. The WG availabilty is very good in Emperor and standards vary as per taste.

Based on my own experience, one can get happy ending massage in any 5* hotel in Yangon. Therapists would make sure you have a hard-on during massage (in many ways), and then propose "special massage". Mate, 100% of Yangon hotels are GF. The only question is whether the hotel will want to see or hold the lady's ID card. More likely the better the hotel and the later at night you show up with the girl. This is for your protection. They will call you when the girl tries to get her ID back just to be sure she hasn't stolen anything and is pulling a midnight runner on you. If you don't want the girl's ID affiliated with your stay (some places keep records, others don't) then bring the girl into the hotel bar or restaurant and then slip out going directly to your room.

When the fire at Mingalar Market prompted the decision by the city to close the adjacent businesses and redevelop the property which led to the demise of JJ Entertainment, a great resource was lost, that is until JJ ownership revived the business, now called Apple Entertainment and relocated to the Diamond Lake Hotel.I've seen this fairly widely reported but have yet to see any info from anyone who's actually been to Apple. Have you??

At any rate, below ground floor disco pub is same setup as before, only newer but with same uniformed militars and tip hound waiters. 10 k kyat admission waived if staying in hotel. Hotel (50 usd) floors 5-6-7, KTV rooms lower floors, with resto at top floor. Rooms nice view but entirely Chinese in style as is the whole place: ethnic chinese ownership and clientele (no friendly Burmese Buddhist manners here). Girls: lots. Several groups of fashion show ladies, with mamasans sitting in the back. Price quotes 120 k with 50 k going to the house for fashion ladies. Others 100 k— quoted. Location 12-15 easy minutes from airport is in pleasant, quiet part of town, short stroll to food options and amenities. With airport proximity, it's good to go direct from airport when you arrive, then a couple days on the way out. Other hotels nearby, but it would compromise for convenience with the girls as they try to short time. (I'm a 'medium time' partaker, preferring a good sleep with late wakeupping.) At DL, some stay all night, others will bail at 1:30 am To go home with their group, friends, mamasan, whatever. Sounds like exactly lie JJ's which I used to like for the show but for sleeping partners chose Emperor.

On the plus side Emperor seems to have rid itself of the dubious aged girls promoted by mamasans and at least the girls I took were very much that it was a positive career choice.

Also, I'm absolutely must wake up with the girl and enjoy all that so maybe it's a differant strokes scenario ...

3. Lastlly, Are Burmese girls biased against Indian men, the way some Thai are? I mean, some Thai people think that Indians in general are stingy with money, so we got to overcome that sometimes. Is that the case with Burma?

4. You picked up a couple of 19 yo outside your Hotel. I am guessing they are freelance / street girls. Which hotel is this?

I am going to be spending 3 nights in Yangon. Any advice is much appreciated.

First time in Yangon. Will try to be detailed since there are not a lot of posters on this forum. Thanks to all for the information posted on the board even though there is not as many post as some other countries. I apologize in advance as I'm sure many will accuse me of price inflation but I found the emperor prices to be quite higher than what was listed by previous users. I attempted to bargain but maybe due to the kyat rapidly losing value over the past couple months the prices have gone up.

Stayed at Best Western Chinatown. No problem getting girl upstairs, just had to leave ID with security guards. You must go through lobby though. Anyway here is my report:

Day 1: Went to zero zone first across the street from emperor, was completely dead, not one person. Hit Emperor around 730 pm (opens at 7 pm). Google maps is wrong on location. Not located on 24th street but one block east on Shwedegon Pagoda Rd. Easy to find. Around 200 girls and only about 4 or 5 guests, all Asians, no Indian or white people seen. I am Asian myself. Its low season currently. 8000 kyat cover which includes one drink. I'm seated and the girls make a mad scramble to line up to be shown. Almost all girls are 18-20 and many quite pretty. Many waiters speak English and were very helpful to explain the process. 4 girls are shown at a time, I'm free to keep waiving till the next. I would not worry how dark Emperor is as the girls and waiters use flashlights so you can clearly see girls faces. I chose one girl 18-20 yo who spoke no English to sit with me. I waived her away eventually, she does not ask for any money and is OK with leaving. Another girl 19 yo, tall, face 8, body seems good. She quotes 180 k Kyat for LT. She tells me she is expensive compared to other girls. I get her down to 150 K but eventually shoo her away. Later I chose another girl with Indian features with white skin. Decided to take her to hotel. First fashion show starts at 930. She tells me she can't leave until after the fashion show though. She quotes 100 K, but mama-san specifically demands that I buy her 3 flower ropes during the fashion show at 10 K each in order to take her home. I wanted to leave before the fashion show but the girl says she couldn't in case other customers send her flower ropes cause mama-san needs more money. I found the whole process quite annoying. But in the end I still got to taker her to hotel. So just know that if you choose a fashion show girl before the fashion show you have to wait until after the show is over.

At hotel shot 3 times, agreed for her to leave at 8 am, but I kicked her out at 630 am just cause I was finished. Face 9, body 10, perfect see cups probably one of the best looking girls I have been with, I'm not even into Indian girls. Hygiene is definitely an issue here as girls don't wear deodorant. Indian girls body and breath smelled like curry. Took a shower but her body odor towards the middle of the night started to seep out again. Small price to pay to bang a girl this pretty though. She gave me a short unskilled reluctant BBBJ, and CFS x 3 did not attempt DATY. Was pleasant throughout. Damage 130 K + taxi and tips. All of you lucky mongers living in SE Asia used to getting off 8 x in one night for 10 USD should remember that in the developed world having a 19 yo head turner for overnight would cost me 2-4 K USD in my home market so still happy even though I'm pretty sure I overpaid. The exchange rate helped though.

Days 2: Tried to find daytime action mentioned in this forum around Park Royal hotel. Don't know what that poster was talking about as I did a complete circle around the hotel at mid day and didn't see anything. Decided to wait till evening for emperor. Would be helpful if someone could post where to get daytime action. But I figure low chance considering the lack of activity on this thread.

Had to leave early the next morning so went in search of short time at Emperor. Again the process was super annoying and I probably overpaid again but I wanted to hurry and get out of there. Decided on previous girls friend for short time who was also a fashion show girl. In negotiating short time they said the girl needed to be back in time for 11 pm fashion show. Again annoying that the fashion show puts limitations on you. May try non fashion show girl next time. ST evidently means 2 x which was fine with me. They asked I pay 100 K for ST. Again probably an overpayment but I didn't have time to start over. Mama-san was there sitting with me and waiter kept chatting me up telling me his life story. Did not come here to talk to guys. Took girl to hotel. Guess I didn't look closely enough at her face but back at the hotel her face was 6, body 5 after she took off her massively padded bra. She was a darker Burmese looking girl and was 18 yo. Attitude was 10 though so I guess that was my consolation. Again with the hygiene thing, washed her off as well as I could. She was 18 yo though which was hot to me. Shot 2 x with BBBJ x 2 and kicked her back to the club.

Overall I found emperor to be quite annoying and I hope my information helps others. The waiters can be aggressive about asking for tips and they will spring surprise charges on you (the flower rope thing) after you have already settled on a price and not let you take the girl when you want cause mama-san needs girl to be in the fashion show. Place seems to nickel and dime you constantly. That being said from what I read unless you go to clubs looking for free lancers its the best game in town. I will be in Yangon for another two days before leaving Myanmar and will write another report then. In the end I was satisfied with the service back at the hotel room and its still a bargain compared to back home, so I guess its worth it. Good luck out there.

A very entertaining report Dizzy21. I will be doing a Yangon visa run from BKK shortly, so I found your report timely and informative. The last time I was in Burma was 2008. I expect a lot has changed.

Don't worry about the price police. Every small thread seems to have few. Their bark is worse than their bite. I completely ignore them on the Phnom Penh & AC thread. The main thing is you got the girl you wanted (the 1st night) for the amounted time you wanted, and she performed nicely. Way to go! I especially thought your description of your 2 girls' hygiene was very telling and spot on. I guess I won't be doing much muff diving while I am in Yangon. LOL. But I also plan to hit Club 5 at the Park Royal (the high end) and some other joints further afield, so who knows.

Apple Bar is the rebirth of JJ. The management is the same. Recently I used my reward miles to Yangon, have not been here for over a year. Apple Bar is in the Diamond Lake Hotel. It is really really far from the central Yangon. So expect to pay 20 to 30 K for round trip taxi. I made 2 visit to Apple Bar during my stay.

The entrance fee is 15 k. The system is similar to JJ or Emperor. There are two types of ladies, the ones that do the fashion show and the ones that hang around the disco, but all girls are managed by mamasans. The girls and mamasans have really limited English, so they always call some concierge guy to translate, but these concierge are aggressive in demanding tips.

My first visit, after walking around many loops checking myself and also mamasans many rounds bringing girls to show me, I decided on one of the girl mamasan shown to me, her face was pretty, look very nice in her dress, slim, she was a normal girl (non show girl), quote me 100 K. I asked a few normal girls their price, some are firm on 100 k, but some are willing to get a pay cut.

This girl was okay with 90 k, but has to go at 6 am, claimed has to go school. She called her regular taxi to send us back to my hotel, a really long ride. The session was quite okay, very gentle, tits were a little too soft for my liking, but very accommodating, condom-up-to-me kind of attitude, but I learned my lessons before, used my reliable super thin, morning before she left, even asked me if I want one more time, very nice girl.

My second visit, I decided to take a room at that hotel, it is 50 USD a night, got a high floor nice view, the wifi is somewhat weak, but works, include breakfast. You get free entry if you show your room key. Second trip there were very few customers, so basically you can choose and pick slowly, there were several that are look alright for me, and one show girl with really nice shape and cute face. The male concierge explained to me how to take away the fashion show girl. It is similar to a bar fine, you have to buy a flower garland for 30 k for her, then she is reserved.

The concierge guy told me the fee is 100 k until morning, buy told me to confirm with her again. So I paid the 30 k garland for her. After the show, she came and I checked her more closely, nice face, late teen, price 100 k firm, will not accept less, can stay until 6 am, again claimed she needs to go school morning.

This one is not as accommodating as last one. I guess quite popular girl, using very expensive phone, but still quite friendly, let me do almost anything except deep kissing and licking her back door. Very nice firm tits, very slender tight body, so I don't demand too much from her. During the night, I had trouble sleeping, she let me do another round, but after that, she asked me if she can go home early because she had to prepare something for school, I knew it is excuse, I let her go, it was 3 30 am, these girls seem to have regular taxi drivers they call for sending.

Apple Bar is an alternative if you get bored of Emperor, the girls quality I would say pretty much the same, number wise, I think Emperor has a little more. It is a long long way from central Yangon, unless you spend the night at their hotel, the taxi fee, entry fee really add up. The standard price is 100 K, show girl garland 30 k extra, price still can be negotiated.

To central Yangon, expect to pay the same as you would from the airport. Taxis in Myanmar are possibly the cheapest in Asia, and there is GrabCar. To utilize Apple Bar, staying at the Diamond Lake hotel is the way it makes sense. Bigger issue is with traffic now. For the clubs around Inye Lake, stay at the Melia. For downtown, I stayed most recently at the new Pullman and would recommend that over the Park Royal (unless you specifically want to spend evenings in their music club). In all these places, girl turnout (like customer turnout) depends on day of the week, with most on Saturday.

You can try Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake or Park Royal. Both have bars. You can pick freelancers from the Music Club at the Park Royal Hotel.

I was in Yangon a few months ago, kept putting off the report until now.

Emperor was my first stop, it's dark and loud with lots of girls led around by different mamasans. It's best to come early, 7-8 pm as things start to slow down after about 9 or 9:30 pm.

Walk up to the entrance to the building past the touts and taxi drivers, there is usually a guy dressed in a white button down shirt who'll ask you if you are heading to Emperor, they will then accompany you to whatever floor it was and guide you to a seat after making sure you pay the 8000 kyat with a free drink. It's very dark inside at first but your eyes adjust and you can make out the many bodies of the girls clustered around the club, some talking to guys seated at various tables around the club while others line up close by ready to be called. Along the way I made eye contact with a very pretty Chinese looking girl in a tight red dress but continued to my table.

Girl to guy ratio that first night was about 6:1, maybe 7:1. I was led to my own area and my "waiter" identified himself as no. 31. He asked me where I was from and what drink I would like, then he explained girls were 100,000 kyat per night LT and 80000 Kyat ST. He then kept trying to ask if I wanted to see the girls, but I was still trying to get used to the place and wanted more time to take it in so I asked for a rum and to hold of on looking at the girls for the time being. Nearby I could see a Japanese guy sitting awkwardly with a girl, minimal conversation, lots of nervous smiling. Didn't seem like he liked the girl but didn't know how to get rid of her. Other tables had groups of drunken Japanese and Koreans, a few white faces and some geriatrics dancing to the music as if they were in their 20's.

31 returned three minutes later, forgot what drink I ordered and kept trying to get me to see the girls which I declined again. Less than 5 minutes later, under pretext of offering me peanuts, asked again if I wanted to see the girls, then less than 3 minutes after that asked again. I wanted to see them at this time but made him wait another five minutes just for being annoying. The nervous Japanese guy and his equally nervous girl nearby got up and made their way out together after some talk with the mamasan. The way the tables and seats are arranged, you can easily see what's going on around you so I guess the dude was just a little shy, which I understand. When they bring the girls to your table, it's dark, the mama shines a light so you are all pretty much illuminated and everyone can see.

31 came back from across the room with a mamasan and bunch of girls trailing him, despite there being a cluster of girls much closer by. There was a quick exchange between them, I could hear him telling her where I was from before she got seated. She showed me about 9 girls, all young and pretty, ranging from a strong six to solid nines but I wanted to see the girl I passed when I came in. I asked to see more girls, this time 31 disappeared again to a different corner of the room and came back with a mamasan with around 5 girls. I negotiated for 2000. We almost got in a fight when we arrived because he claimed not to have the right amount of change.

Back to my hotel, the girl was a nice and pleasant performer, I thought she may have been a starfish but she was just very shy. Great body, with a flat stomach and small but perky tits with small nipples. She was tight. I popped three times like we agreed and she did not protest a fourth attempt but I was way too exhausted so I sent her home around 7 am and slept the rest of the day.

They are very noisy, running around, some of them are taking girls and swapping them with one another.

The girls I'm offered are not as good as my previous three nights and there are less of them so I decline the first batch. All of a sudden 31 pops up out of nowhere and acts like we are old friends, claims to remember my drink and gets it wrong, forgets again where I'm from before asking if I want him to show me girls. I also saw they had those "fashion" shows some nights when the girls did a show in front of the whole bar. I did not see the girls chosen for these shows to be any better than the regular girls, maybe they picked the best one from each group of girls but there are plenty to go around of the regular girls that it's not really worth spending an 130,000 kyat on them. Or maybe some of you will think it is. I'm pretty sure I saw one or two of the "fashion" show girls in the regular lineup on the non fashion show nights.

Overall the quality of the girls in this place was nice, sixes to nines, a couple of tens in my book. Performance wise, two of the six or seven girls I had from Emperor were really into it while the rest needed a bit of encouragement and did not seem as enthusiastic or as skilled. None of them said no and I got three pops from each. None of them left earlier than the agreed time, usually between 6-10 am. I tipped them all 7-10000 kyat which they were happy with. Of the girls I took, I think only one brought her own condoms and none of them brought lube. Not at all like seasoned pros seen in neighboring countries where girls come equipped with their own instruments and implements to ply their trade. I was in Yangon a few months ago, kept putting off the report until now.

Emperor was my first stop, it's dark and loud with lots of girls led around by different mamasans. It's best to come early, 7-8 pm as things start to slow down after about 9 or 9:30 pm.

Walk up to the entrance to the building past the touts and taxi drivers, there is usually a guy dressed in a white button down shirt who'll ask you if you are heading to Emperor, they will then accompany you to whatever floor it was and guide you to a seat after making sure you pay the 8000 kyat with a free drink. It's very dark inside at first but your eyes adjust and you can make out the many bodies of the girls clustered around the club, some talking to guys seated at various tables around the club while others line up close by ready to be called. Along the way I made eye contact with a very pretty Chinese looking girl in a tight red dress but continued to my table.

Girl to guy ratio that first night was about 6:1, maybe 7:1. I was led to my own area and my "waiter" identified himself as no. 31. He asked me where I was from and what drink I would like, then he explained girls were 100,000 kyat per night LT and 80000 Kyat ST. He then kept trying to ask if I wanted to see the girls, but I was still trying to get used to the place and wanted more time to take it in so I asked for a rum and to hold of on looking at the girls for the time being. Nearby I could see a Japanese guy sitting awkwardly with a girl, minimal conversation, lots of nervous smiling. Didn't seem like he liked the girl but didn't know how to get rid of her. Other tables had groups of drunken Japanese and Koreans, a few white faces and some geriatrics dancing to the music as if they were in their 20's.

31 returned three minutes later, forgot what drink I ordered and kept trying to get me to see the girls which I declined again. Less than 5 minutes later, under pretext of offering me peanuts, asked again if I wanted to see the girls, then less than 3 minutes after that asked again. I wanted to see them at this time but made him wait another five minutes just for being annoying. The nervous Japanese guy and his equally nervous girl nearby got up and made their way out together after some talk with the mamasan. The way the tables and seats are arranged, you can easily see what's going on around you so I guess the dude was just a little shy, which I understand. When they bring the girls to your table, it's dark, the mama shines a light so you are all pretty much illuminated and everyone can see.

My experiences and lessons learnt at Emperor in my recent 10 day trip.

1. Girl: Guy ratio is like at least 5:1; so do not panic into choosing early; there's plenty of stocks left over when the night closes.

2. The later you choose; the more mamasans and girls will surround you all night long showing their wares.

3. If you are the choosy type and choose before you see the models parading; you will have buyer remorse like me.

4. Most models will still be available when the night's over.

5. You don't have to buy flowers for the models you like; just beckon the waiter to bring the mamasan over.

6. If the model has been taken for the night, which is rarely; just arrange with mamasan for next day.

7. Do NOT tip waiters at all; however nice and helpful they are to you. They are nice and helpful because if you pick a girl they introduced; they get a tip from the mamasan; a waiter told me it's from 10 k to 20 k kyat.

8. Price for girl is 80 k kyat. Do not go over; they will try to negotiate you up with tactics like she's a model; or 80 k for short time only; etc. Move on to next model if mamasan baulks. She will get the message very quickly.

9. You can also get the girl to come over and negotiate direct after her walk routine is over; but language may be an issue. If so, use the waiter.

10. There's no such thing as lady drinks, so don't be carrot.

11. ST is also a new strange concept; so don't introduce it. The default position is always LT; which means they go back at 6 am. I have to kick out my FL at 8 am as l had something to do that morning. Try to adopt these as non-negotiable. Remember the market is in your favour as supply exceeds demand five fold.

12. The girl told me that she split 50:50 with mamasan the fee.

13. There's no such thing as barfine.

14. Entry fee is 8 k kyat which entitles you to one drink.

15. There is a one page laminated menu on the table offering about eight items. Most beers are 2500 kyat or 3000 kyat.

16. If you stay within 1 km of Emperor; just wave all the hangers on and touts and taxi drivers away and start walking. Your girl will follow. Do not allow her to push you into a taxi. Show her whose boss. If she baulks; just put up your arms in a cross sign to tell her the deal is off. Go back into emperor and choose anew.

17. If you choose non models; the place is dark as. Use your iPhone as light. Many punters do. It's still not fail proof; and you will get buyers remorse back at hotel. That's why I prefer the models as the stage is brightly lit and you get what you see.

18. But even if the non models disappoint back in the hotel; they are all still young which is a saving grace.

19. Do not negotiate for 69; DFK; etc. Take it as a given. The P4P industry here is still in its infancy; so there's no all these nonsense rules. In the room just do it. The initial resistance from the girl, if any, is only token.

20. Kindness is not appreciated. Better to keep it as boss / prostitute relationship. You will get better service. I brought one WL to a small meal as I was hungry myself. She started treating the session as BF: GF and telling me her troubles. Back in room she starts getting lazy; and wasn't enthusiastic on BJ. Wtf. Lesson learnt. All WLs from that night onwards- straight to hotel and f f f. That's it.

How much cheaper can you possibly need? What's the goal - to go somewhere and try to spend as little money as possible? And, why be next to Emperor: you're just going to go at 8:00 and be out by 9. There's nothing in that neighborhood. But, OK, the cheap and preferred choice is: Hotel K on Pansodan St. Get the corner room on back side of building, but if the extra 10 $ is too much you, the cheap corridor rooms are quiet. To Emperor, 2000 kyat taxi, if you can't afford it, but walkable 15 minutes. Hotel K, , unless you can afford Pan Pacific or Park Royal.

I don't know how long you intend to travel. My last trip was for 73 days which was a long marathon swing through SE Asia to be shagging at least one girl a day. Hotel G is a 4 star hotel and totally western style, thought it should be managed by British team. Room not big but well-designed modern style. Also the items such as towel, robe, Shampoo, Shower gel are high quality imported from Australia.

Ok, so I am back in BKK as of yesterday morning, having just wrapped up 4 great nights in Yangon. I like Yangon and there are plenty of eligible girls here, but you have to seek them out and things don't get started until 9 pm at the earliest. In some ways Yangon nightlife more resembles Jakarta than BKK in that the watering holes are spread out and taxis are necessary. First, let me state that I am still a newbie when it comes to Yangon venues and although I have visited Yangon 3 times once in 2008 before the thaw, then in Oct 2018, and recently this May 2019, I have only visited 3 nightspots in total: Club 5, Emperor, and Pioneer, so I don't think I am qualified to state categorically whether Club 5 prices are reasonable compared to other night spots in Yangon. Or more importantly whether there are better night spots with higher quality girls. That said, I have no problem paying Club 5 prices (130,000 k ($86) to 140,000 k ($93) for ST because this is the current going price in Club 5. It would be different if a particular girl in Club 5 asked for more. Then I would think she was being unreasonable, and I would pass on her.

Now we all know that Club 5 FL's ask more than Emperor girls usually do (80,000 k or approx. $58). That is a fact. If you don't think Club 5 girls warrant the incremental cost, that is cool with me. Don't go there. Personally, I had no issue with paying between 130,000 to 140,000 k. I liked Emperor too, but I found that Club 5 has its advantages.

Club 5 is a 5-star Asian Hotel FL pick up bar not unlike Bats & CJ's in Jakarta, Darling Darling in Phnom Penh, and Brix in Singapore. The girls that work in these establishment ask for premium price compared to their sisters working in other bars in their particular cities. That is a fact. IS IT WORTH IT? It depends on the quality of the girls that one finds in these bars and level of service. It is also a highly subjective question and each monger has to decide for himself if it is worth it.

Obviously, I like Club 5 thanks to the one girl I took out of there. She is a keeper. So, Club 5 is where I struck gold. YMMV. I also liked Emperor. If I had a free night I would certainly go back.

But having become a favored repeat customer with my girl, her price has remained the same, regardless of whether she stays for a couple of hours or all night, one shot or many. And we never talk about price after our 1st night back in October.

Specific Costs (actual monies spent on her this last trip):

And I think, considering the quality of the girl and the level of her service, it was a good price. Anyway, I am happy and that is all that counts. In fact, we are already talking about our next get together which will probably include either a side trip to Ngapali Beach for a few nights or I might fly her into BKK and take her down to Southern Thailand.

I agree most of your parts.

I have been to Yangon 4 times. It is the truth that I found the most gorgeous girl in Club 5. Although with high level price. She was really a stunner in face or body and age aspects. She can compete any stunning ladies I saw or had in Thailand, China Korea or Vietnam.

As Myanmar's current inflation is over 11% (Aya Bank website), every price has increased. About double in last 5-6 years. Some items seem same price, but only due to shifting to local factory or low quality import from Thailand and China. Yes, those factories made different QA standard products for various export destinations. I have seen similar brand packages from Bangkok and Yangon, and the price is same after currency conversion, but taste and quality isn't. Anyway, I digress. Apologies.

Thus, the standard fare for Yangon service providers have double to 80 k - 100 k kyats. This assumes a freelancer. Obviously, you'll pay surcharge to house / papasan / mamasan. It can be 30 k - 50 k MMK. So, expect to pay 130 k (80+50) for low end fashion show girl at Emperor, 150 k (100+50) for high end model fashion walker at Emperor. There are no more independent contractors or FLs at Emperor, JJ / Apple, or Pioneer. Therefore, you'll pay 50 k as flower tip money (or barfine in Thailand / Philippines) to takeout. Since the girl gets some of that flower money, she can deduct that in negotiation or forgo it, I. E. 30 k barfine.

As for the ladies' price of 80 k - 100 k, they usually don't budge from it, because their mamasans control the price point. Some mamasans take half of it, due to providing room & board, transportation, mobile, and security (or rather protection from LE). Some fashion show managers are ok with their share of flower tip, since the ladies have their own house / apartment and ferry / taxi.

Similar set up is at JJ / Apple.

Of course, maybe you are skillful, suave, young, or handsome, and can bargain down. But why, for only a few bucks, since it's still lower than ST in Bangkok / Pattaya.

As for Club 5 at Park Royal and Nice Bar at Sedona, I haven't really investigated, but I believe that there's a house fee for the ladies to work there. And, maybe hidden mamasans, so no true FL is there. I heard that the ladies got penalty or fine if they didn't show up for "work". Ouch.

Outside of Pioneer, Brave, Vibe, and Myanmar Plaza (Fuse, Eclipse, and Harry's), you may get offers from taxi drivers acting as papasans. I have not fielded them out yet. By the way, you won't find "official" working FLs in local bars and nightclubs anymore, but you can encounter bottle bunnies / rats, club's plants, and obvious P4 P.S. Off-work from KTV, Emperor, or JJ / Apple. You can try your luck if you spot them, but it'd be like hitting on normal chicks. Or, bring your own barfine, buy a bottle, share with her friends or new friends, and enjoy. Just like in Thailand and Philippines.

For those arguing / complaining about high taxi prices near bar / club exits, I highly recommend Grab App. You don't need local SIM card to set it up, if you already have an account elsewhere and your own SIM number roams in Myanmar and can receive call / SMS / mobile data. I arrange for pickup while inside a place and as I walk out with a girl, I just tell her and the taxi drivers around that I have already arranged my own car. If you don't speak Burmese, just show them your smartphone with Grab App. They understand that and turn away to easier marks.

And, I do not recommend walking away with a girl from an obvious place of selling girls, such as Emperor, because there is police vehicle (s) down the street waiting to catch the girl for prostitution. So, call GrabTaxi or get in a taxi, even if your hotel is a block away.

Last note: most Yangon providers are expecting one shot for the price above, whether it's an hour or overnight. And, most overnighter end at daybreak (due to using their sponsored taxi / ferry truck), so better to end your party early and go back to your hotel soon, unlike Thailand / Philippines, where you can dance till sunrise. As always, YMMV, and depending on your negotiation skill or charm, you can turn an ST into LT for same price.

I usually offer to pay for taxi or call Grab to their home, so they can release their waiting driver. And, gain few more hours of their time. Other offerings are breakfast, lunch, shopping, city tour, pagoda visit, etc. I am sure you all have your own ideas.

You're right about the villagers flocking to a metropolitan for an opportunity to earn money (not just to sell their bodies, but also for regular jobs). It's not just in Myanmar, but I've observed this phenomenon in most Southeast Asian countries. Unless the world economy suddenly equalized living standards and wage disparity across the board, urban centers will be supported by a pool of low income laborers from rural areas. But, I digress.

What I want to say is that not every sex provider in Yangon, Bangkok, Saigon, Vientiane, Phnom Penh, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, or Manila is "being dragged into this business". I've learned from extensive testimony that many are locals from the city within. They all have different reasons for choosing (not being forced) to be a sex worker or borderline job, such as masseuses, hostesses, karaoke singers, show dancers, club models, or dating gigs. From as serious as hospitalized family member, as noble as school tuition, to as frivolous as the latest iPhone model. Sigh.

About technology, I've stayed in a roadside hamlet a few weeks ago in upper Myanmar, and there are mobile shops, 4 G / LTE service, satellite TV, and QR-code payment-accepting mini-marts and tea shops. In some way, these places skipped the "time lag" and fast-forwarded into modern or near future era, whereas my home bank just started to issue credit cards with chips or my house broadband is finally going above 20 Mbps. SMH.

Anyway, to the potential visitors, don't worry about G's broad generalizations, check out Yangon (and the mongering scene) as it is still changing and modernizing, before the city stops being a "novelty".

Plenty of good looking girls but conservative. Did find a girl at Aungsan market but nothing to write about. Simple act and paid 50000 kyat. Went to clubs like emperor, roof top bar etc but girls are not aggressive. Hard to figure out who is into fun or who is just hanging around. SS.Booked cultural show and dinner at Sarawak palace. $25 for one person. I have seen better show and better dinner. Highlight is met this older lady and a younger girl. They asked me if I am alone. Answered affirmative they asked me to sit with them. Older lady is from Philippines and says she is doing some business there. Younger girl is her niece. Young girl likes to drink like a fish. Got her number and met up with her next day and had fun. She could spent only couple of hours because her aunt is very strict she said. She came to Yangon to help her aunt. No money given. SS.Park Royal Hotel is girl friendly. For your security they look at girl ID. I took multiple girls into room every night over three days. You can pick girls from this hotel bar (entry is free for hotel guests). These girls are not trafficked but will stick to minimum $100 some are eye catcher. So Yangon scene is not like Bangkok or Manila but is ok in case you have to visit there or try new city.

As Myanmar's current inflation is over 11% (Aya Bank website), every price has increased. About double in last 5-6 years. Some items seem same price, but only due to shifting to local factory or low quality import from Thailand and China. Yes, those factories made different QA standard products for various export destinations. I have seen similar brand packages from Bangkok and Yangon, and the price is same after currency conversion, but taste and quality isn't. Anyway, I digress. Apologies.

Thus, the standard fare for Yangon service providers have double to 80 k - 100 k kyats. This assumes a freelancer. Obviously, you'll pay surcharge to house / papasan / mamasan. It can be 30 k - 50 k MMK. So, expect to pay 130 k (80+50) for low end fashion show girl at Emperor, 150 k (100+50) for high end model fashion walker at Emperor. There are no more independent contractors or FLs at Emperor, JJ / Apple, or Pioneer. Therefore, you'll pay 50 k as flower tip money (or barfine in Thailand / Philippines) to takeout. Since the girl gets some of that flower money, she can deduct that in negotiation or forgo it, I. E. 30 k barfine.

As for the ladies' price of 80 k - 100 k, they usually don't budge from it, because their mamasans control the price point. Some mamasans take half of it, due to providing room & board, transportation, mobile, and security (or rather protection from LE). Some fashion show managers are ok with their share of flower tip, since the ladies have their own house / apartment and ferry / taxi.

All foreign construction projects stopped; the cranes are not moving. Big hotels downtown like Pullman and Shangri La are shuttered. Pan Pacifics on other hand are open with Park Royal rate a bargain at 45 usd. Practically zero Westerners except the mugs who have jobs here. It's crawling with Chinese though, practically taken over. The best Western food places closed, so if you want something good (and safe) must eat in hotels. But you want to know about Emperor: girl rate is 60-70+ usd. Entry price 5 usd. All girls working there have club IDs now and work through mamasan pimps. Total brothel experience chinese. There's ones on the street though. This is your new normal. Rainy season will be starting soon, so you may want to wait until September. There's now an official exchange rate and an unofficial, so you need to bring cash only -- and that's pristine only otherwise you're in for annoyance. New flights from Chennai, India to Yangon announced. Can take a short trip while in South India to see how Madras was when British left in 1947. And of course monger. Sweet people but as we know can be very cruel.

Are there any other fashion show type bars / KTV's in Yangon? I found Apple and Emperor. I don't like the private room type KTV's. Tried asking acouple of Grab drivers with some english, but they werent much help.

Thanks.Friday and Saturday gets busy, most of the time. I would say that 22 h00 onwards is pretty full with a great ratio. However, best talent disappear quite fast, unless you know the girls and let them know at what time you are going to be there.

An update of my July visit, which I have posted on the other asian forum as well.

Back from a 2 day trip to Yangon from Bangkok on visa run, compared to pre coup era, the place feels very unsafe, midnight curfew in place. Visited emparor, the place closes at 11:30, took a lady and on the way back to hotel was stopped at a check point, too much hassle with the officers (soldiers) regarding identification and why I was with a Burmese lady at this hour, finally they let me go but not the lady, no idea what happened with her.

Stayed at the hotel the next night and checked out. Myanmar off the list for sometime. Scary.
