Since this is my first trip to Montreal in about 10 years and my first trip here as a monger, I got a lot of good info from the ISG boards before I went.

Anyway, my trip was Saturday June 23rd to Sunday June 24th. I booked the Espresso Hotel with my wingman. We got a room with two queen beds for about $145 a night (underground parking was another $20 a night). The hotel was two blocks from Saint Catherine so it was right in the middle of everything. It was previously mentioned how easy is to exchange currency in Montreal. This is true, but just a remember about the exchange rate. USD and CAD is currently at per. CAD went down a few US cents for the last months, but it is back to +- CAD 1. 00 = USD 1. 00. Look, when I post something on this site it's coming from my own personal experience, not hearsay. When I go to a new city for the first time I always check on here for some advice from the more experienced members and when I see a discrepancy or an untruth I will point it out. Similarly, if I see something is factual I will add to it because not all of our experiences are the same at the same clubs in the same city. Case in point, I have had $250 lap dances at Chez Paree, but I've also gotten laid for free from a couple of the girls there. Mini Guide To Montreal.

I lived in Montreal for five years so I know the region. Here's my mini guide to give you the basics required for a nice quick trip there.

Why Go To Montreal?

Montreal is the best city to monger in North America. The French Canadian women are friendly, super sexy and very open. The prices (as I'll cover later) are better than in Toronto or Vancouver and the scene is relatively hassle free from the cops.

Anytime during the year is great to go and it would really depend on what other activities you want to do while there. Besides the women, there are great festivals during the summer and great snow skiing / boarding in the region during the winter. International airport (YUL) has direct flights from many US cities and is a 5-6 hour drive from Toronto.

Where To Stay.

All major hotel chains as well as local independent hotels are found throughout the downtown area. If you are not driving, any of the brand name hotels downtown are great. The main party areas are the bars on Crescent St and surrounding streets. This is where the main Anglophone (English speaking) tourist area is. The French speaking equivalent is on St Denis. Personally, I would not recommend going there unless you are proficient in French. Unfortunately, there are politics in Quebec and many local French Canadians would rather not socialize with Anglophones (especially from English speaking Canada).

Keep in mind that the downtown hotels normally charge extra for parking so another option I would suggest, if you are driving a car, is to stay near the Montreal airport. This is what I do. Parking is free at most airport hotels. Again most chains are represented there.

The two chain airport hotels I usually stay at for my own return visits are the Econolodge Airport and the Rodeway Inn Airport. Both have the most affordable room prices, have free breakfasts, free parking and no problems with girls coming into the location. I like the Econolodge better because their free breakfast is better.

Most downtown hotels also usually have no problems with girls coming in for outcalls. There will also be no hassles from the law for outcalls to hotels either.

Strip Joints.

Montreal has some really hot strippers in its strip joints. Two of the best downtown are Chez Paree and Wanda's. However, lap dances are $20 per song (with contact). There is another club called Cleopatra's which is a lower level club but the lap dances are only $10 per song the last time I was there. Downtown strip joints are usually not for any take out with the girls or any hanky panky while on the premises.

If you want hanky panky in a club environment, you have to go to a club that is off island. Montreal is technically an island and once you go to the outskirts off the island, there are clubs where you can go further. One is called Hill Top about 30 minutes west and another called Club Frontiere, about an hour west along the main 40 highway near the Ontario border. The girls in these clubs bring you to the private booths usually curtained. It's in these booths where you can get full contact lap dances for $20 per song but they will also offer BJs and full service.

I've been to these full contact clubs but never did full service since I personally don't like the setup. The booths are quite small and the prices are around $120 for full service but you have to complete your thing in 3 songs. There are no problems about privacy in hotels. In some parts of the world it may be different. Take for instance Brazil where most hotels are girl friendly. Yeah, I wasted precious time and money during my trip to montreal. I've mongered in many places, but for whatever reason I never got around to it in montreal. Nothing has changed in the Quebec laws, but legislation has been challenged in Ontario and the criminal code is a federal jurisdiction. I guess that LEAs don't push too much on that side these days and they tend to react to complaints (ie neighbors) , not to search "new customers", plus entrapments are illegal in Canada. It is possible that they work on something, but still no visible smoke about that.

Here we go with my first post!

First of all, thank you all who said this place was worth a try. It IS. In answer to the most-asked question, it is not FS. Maybe for locals it seems like a tourist trap. Buying sex or trying to sell it in public areas involving people under 18 can be found illegal and punishable by up to five years in prison under a sweeping new prostitution law introduced in the House of Commons.

A new offence of advertising sexual services would also be created, and police would be given new powers to seize "voyeuristic" materials, on obtaining permission from a judge.

The new law modernizes the purposes of the anti-prostitution law: instead of trying to contain a nuisance, as under previous laws stretching back generations, the law says that its aim is to promote human dignity and equality, and protect vulnerable people.

The new legislation what Justice Minister Peter MacKay calls a "Canadian model" is the Conservative government's answer to a Supreme Court decision that last year struck down some of the country's major prostitution laws. The court found that bans on street solicitation, brothels and people living off the avails of prostitution create severe dangers for vulnerable women and are unconstitutional.

The court suspended its ruling for one year to give Parliament time to respond, creating a murky enforcement landscape in which provinces started taking a case-by-case approach to prostitution offences. Mr. MacKay had promised to roll out the new legislation well before the December deadline, and by tabling the bill Wednesday, lawmakers will have the opportunity to scrutinize the Conservatives' plan before the House breaks for summer recess later this month.

"It was a challenge, there's no question, Mr. MacKay told reporters Wednesday before the bill was tabled. "This is a very emotional and often very divisive issue, and very personal for those whose lives have been touched and in some cases devastated by prostitution. ".

He said the bill would recognize "the inherent dangers associated with prostitution, including many of the other real challenges in the country, including poverty, violence, addiction, mental health. And whatever we do legislatively will of course be accompanied with programming aimed at helping women predominantly women exit prostitution. ".

A lawyer who helped persuade the Supreme Court to strike down the country's main prostitution laws said the new law doesn't answer the court's concerns about safety of sex workers.

Alan Young, who teaches law at Osgoode Hall Law School, said keeping prostitutes out of areas in which people under 18 are found, while also banning advertising of sexual services over the Internet, leaves them with no safe place.

"At the end of the day it still raises the question of what is a safe forum for someone to legally sell sexual services, he said in an interview. "I think the government position is 'we don't want to provide a safe forum. ' But that isn't really their call anymore. ".

The Supreme Court case garnered so much attention that the Justice Department launched a public consultation to hear the views of Canadians, including those who work in prostitution. "I personally sat down with a large group that covered the spectrum from those who advocated for complete legalization to those who advocate for complete criminalization, Mr. MacKay said.

The Conservatives' new take on prostitution laws was foreshadowed earlier this week, when the results of the month-long consultation showed a majority of Canadians felt purchasing sexual services and benefiting economically from the prostitution of an adult should be criminal offences. "There is a strong body of evidence to show that this approach is harmful and inconsistent with sex workers' constitutional rights to health and safety, the Canadian Alliance for Sex Work Reform said Wednesday before the bill was tabled but amid widespread speculation it would take the Nordic approach. "This form of criminalization reproduces and increases the harms and violence that sex workers experienced under the laws that were struck down in the Supreme Court case, Canada v. Bedford. ".

The group said Canada should respect women's constitutional rights and take the New Zealand approach: rather than criminalize prostitution, it should take a minor regulatory role, such as limiting the purchasing of sexual services from those younger than 18 and requiring that condoms be used.

Asked by reporters about his thoughts on the Nordic model Tuesday, Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau would say only he looked forward to seeing the bill and discussing it with his caucus and Canadians across the country.

I was simply trying to assist another member who requested incall options in Montreal, and I was happy to recommend them based on my booking. I do admit this was my only contact with them, which I stated, and I may just have been lucky. According to news media reports, 3 days from now, on December 6, 2014, a new law becomes effective in Canada that makes it legal to sell sex but illegal to purchase it. See, for example:

The new law gave me impression Canada's Constitution must have no Equal Protection Clause, but while writing this I looked it up, and I see Section 15 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms says "Every individual is equal before and under the law and has the right to the equal protection and equal benefit of the law. . . . " So I think Canada's anti-prostitution law is unconstitutional because it treats the same act unequally depending on whether you are the seller or the purchaser.

Canada never was the best place to look for a woman's companionship for which she insists on immediate compensation. A problem with Canada's sexually oriented businesses is that, with the exception of a few "massage" businesses where you might be able to spend three or four minutes talking with a masseuse before deciding whether to hire her, almost everywhere in Canada spending even five minutes of conversation or getting-to-know-you-time before saying yes or no to a woman in a sexually oriented business isn't allowed. It is impossible to know if they are simply in denial about this. There is indeed reason to think the law won't be enforced: The law against maintaining a "bawdy house" or house of prostitution that the Supreme Court of Canada declared unconstitutional was very openly disregarded in many parts of Canada for many years.

Another common response is the same sort of semantic obfuscation as south of the border in the USA where prostitution is illegal everywhere except some counties in Nevada, namely, playing word games such as claiming an orgasm a woman gives a man with her hands (a "hand job") or a woman getting naked and laying on top of a man's naked body and doing a "body-to-body" massage without vaginal penetration, is not a "sexual service". " Reports about this place suggest that includes a woman massaging a man's penis with the inside of her vagina.

To some extent, talking in code language to avoid criminal prosecution is already in progress in Canadian massage businesses or "massotherapie" shops. Exceptions, at least between now and December 6, 2014, are Studio Pussy Corps, 263 Rue Sainte-Catherine Est, Montreal, where a man who is apparently in charge presents customers with a line-up of a few (when I was there, topless or in one case bottomless) young women and openly and without mincing at words states prices for hand job, blow job, and "sex" (intercourse) with whichever woman you choose out of the lineup, and Ambassador Spa, 1270 Finch Avenue West in Toronto, where one of the young women working there openly told me prices for hand job, oral sex, and intercourse.

The managers of these businesses know whether the women working for them are attractive or not. If they know they are attractive and that seeing them will entice you to spend your money, they'll let you see them (in person, not just photographs) without charge. If they know the women working for them are not attractive, they'll try to get you to pay before seeing who is available. Sometimes they say you have to pay first but will get a partial or full refund if you don't choose to spend money on any of the women you see, but the same reasoning applies: I always say no to this. Within a block of Elegance Massage and Montreal Nuru Massage (where you have to pay before seeing the women) is OohParis at 1402 Rue Drummond, which is exactly the same kind of business but without having to pay first. According to a man I talked with on a nearby sidewalk, OohParis has better looking women than Elegance or Nuru, as I would have predicted, and after seeing the OohParis line-up, I think he is probably right.

From talking with them I learned there are many people working in these businesses in Canada, and many customers, who don't know about the law that goes into effect on December 6, 2014. I get up to Montreal a few times a year and apologize that I have not posted about my experiences.

This forum is not that heavily posted, so I guess I'll start with a generic overview of the situation, at least from my limited perspective before turning to a couple of very recent experiences.

Montreal has a superb scene. It is professional, and the service levels are normally very high. It is wise to stick with the well-reviewed agencies. Booking is easy, most of agencies have helpful phone staff. You can also text if I know exactly what I want. Most hotels are girl friendly, although a few will require that you meet your "guest" in the lobby, which can be a touch awkward late at night when it's just you and the bellboy and a desk lady. But I've never been terribly uncomfortable.

Rates seem to run from 160-300 per hour, with most of the reputable agencies in the 200 per hour range, plus or minus 20.

Most of the scene is outcall, although there are a few agencies that book rooms for the ladies in downtown hotels or have apartments. I have stayed at Marriott, Best Western, Sheraton and the Omni Mont Royal (this is the nicest of the bunch, with huge beds and sofas that are great for romping around. Last report from my recent trip to Montreal.

Trip to Montreal to attend GG7th Heaven Day 1 report.
