I am traveling for work to Singapore / Bangkok.
Wondering when things will become quiet for Lunar New Year (Feb 10). Is singapore dead the week before?
Between Singapore and Jakarta, which destination is more fun? I'll be arriving in Singapore first and then heading to Jakarta. With a total of 5 days total, I'm considering spending 2 nights in Singapore, and 3 nights in Jakarta, or is it better to just skip Singapore and spend all 5 nights in Jakarta that might save me on travel time, costs, immigration hassle?

Singapore has dozens food hawker malls scattered all over the island:
Maxwell Food Centre, Nelson Food Centre, Chinatown Shopping Complex.
It all depends what you are looking for? Singapore is very expensive both girls and food, and even hotels are expensive, but is a great city. If you haven't been to singapore, you could probably spend a day / night if not skip and focus on Jakarta.

Approx two weeks before my trip to Singapore, I logged into Sugarbook and MR to see what is available in Singapore. I also read the forum but soon realized the market is pretty dead. I was supposed to have two girls fly in from Brazil but that went to shit in January so here we are.

It was actually a strategy I adopted for Brie many years ago after picking it from here. My flight into Singapore would arrive in the evening, by the time I got to the hotel, showered, unpacked and had room service dinner it was pretty late, and I was pretty buggered from the early start and long flight, but of course Brix would be well into high gear and of course many women coming over from OT as well, so I'd head to Brix, grab a drink and a table in the corner where I could observe the action, take my time with the drink, and any ladies who approached me and I was interested in, I'd explain I had just arrived and was so tired but would love to catch up the next day or the day after, same routine for seeing one you were interested in on the floor and catching her eye and having her come over. So I'd get some numbers, head back to my hotel and crash. The next morning I'd start lining up some daytime visits for the afternoon. This is basically 'downtime' for them and they are usually not making any money at all, so they're usually willing to visit you and at lower rates because it's a 'bonus' opportunity for them, doesn't take away from their earning potential in nights at the club.
Arrived approx 10 pm and it was pretty slow. I was able to get a seat at the same bar from the night before and had a beer to check out the scene. The band is pretty good and the music is cool. Not too many locals and way more tourists. No cover.
About an hour or so later I saw a nice skinny girl and invited her over for a drink. Using Google translate, we started to get to know each other. According to her, 80% of the girls are from Vietnam and the going rate is 400/ ST and 800/ LT but she was willing to do 300/700. The half-now half-later is certainly a good safe compromise. When I used to frequent Brix my other approach was, let's say the girl wanted 250/ ST (back many years ago when pricing was more sensible), I'd suggest 200 plus 50 based on performance, if she really looked after me that extra 50 was hers (also made it clear this was the full amount, no 'plus taxi money' nonsense). Every time they put in a solid effort, maybe this was their normal form or maybe they were extra-motivated, but they'd always leave me very happy and walk away with that bonus in their pocket.

I had a total of five days to explore, opted for a combination of two days in Singapore and three days in Jakarta. Singapore is a great city with diverse food and culture, its definitely worth to spend a day or two to explore, but pricey just like Dubai to monger. Everything is imported from surrounding countries, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, China, Indonesia, Philippines. If your purpose is to monger and have the option, just skip Singapore and go straight to these destinations where they can be had for more authentic, convenient, and affordable experience.
If you are here on a short layover and want to explore local talent, I would stick to Geylang. Other places Orchid Towers, Ipanema, Little India, Chinatown are more expensive or more or less the same cost as in Lorong houses. See my Geylang Talent field report under Geyland forum. Orchid Towers or Ipanema can set you back by $200 for short-time and $400+ for long-time, whereas Geylang it's $50 for 30 minutes, $100 for an hour for Thai and Vietnamese, and double this amount for Chinese as they considered as exotic here. There are lot of massage spas in Geylang, Burgis malls, Little India, Chinatown -- standard rate is about $60 for an hour, extras are $50 for HJ, and $100 for FS.

It's definitely not open, and no recent reports here sat it's open. Brix and its parent Grand Hyatt Hotel have been closed since 2022 for major renovations.
I'm hearing Brix and the Grand Hyatt will reopen later this year but nobody is taking bets on if it will be the same Brix as before. Especially as Singapore appears to be cleaning things up in the 'night life' arena, and without OT down the road to provide and encourage the flow of WLs walking between OT and Brix, Brix might just become a boring place.
But then again, look at Ipanema, which is the sole survivor from OT and moved to a downtown location in an office block, promotes itself as a live music venue but has turned out to be pretty much the same pick-up joint as before, expect that the prices are sky-high so most punters and WLs seem to walk away empty-handed.
So to answer your question, I'm not sure the 'quality action' has actually moved anywhere.

There are a also a lot of MPs that offer extras mostly by Viet or Chinese women. Then there is the domestic helper scene with Indo and Filipina maids if you have time for that. On top of that we are 2 hours from BKK, HCM, PP, 1 HR from Jakarta, 3.5 hrs from AC and flights can be had for less than $200 RT to any of those destinations. We can also hop a ferry to Batam. Endless options. So don't feel bad for us.
