Thanks WorldTraveler for the list. As someone who's only stayed in a friend's apartment in Brazil, I'm unfamiliar with the hotels in SP. Do hotels tend to allow "guests", or do they typically not allow them?

I would say that you would have contact the hotel of your choice.

I see that the Spell Checker screwed up most of the Brazilian names in the List.

Not on the list but that accepts guests:

Sheraton São Paulo WTC Hotel. It is in Brooklin next to Hilton (I have even seen escorts there in the bar).

Hotel Pullman São Paulo Vila Olímpia.

Transamerica Executive Moema (several WG live there).

I would say Hotel Renaissance and Hotel Unique also do as I have seen escorts there also in the bar.

I would think most Mercures, Transamericas and Hotel Emiliano would accept guest easily.

Hotel Pullman Ibirapuera is really nice, girl friendly and well located. A short walk to Tangara if you are pursuing daytime fun.

Glória plaza hotel is way more motel than hotel, but has not bad overnight rates and they're super guest friendly. Stay in your room and they front desk will just direct them to your room.

I stayed 6 nights in this hotel in a Privilege room. Big room with relatively small bathroom and a balcony. I had made the reservation for one person only, but no problems at all with visitors. One of my visitors came with her own car. I waited her outside and we drove directly to the parking hall and took the elevator straight to my room. Very good 4* experience. I have booked this hotel again for my next trip.

I also stayed again in Mercure Times Square. I have never had problems with visitors there.

I stayed in three Mercure hotels and 2 Novotels during my trip. Excellent cleanliness in all these hotels. Something positive from the pandemic.

Nordico, I stayed at the Grand Mercure Itaim Bibi recently and I recommend it. It has a great location, 1. 5 blocks from Bamboa, my room was spacious and came with a balcony & a streaming WIFI TV connection, the rooftop pool was a plus, and the buffet breakfasts featuring fresh fruit and juice were all I needed. The major difference between this hotel and a significantly more expensive 5 star hotel is an ornate lobby. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

I'm undecided between this and Pullman Ibirapuera for the 6 nights I haven't reserved yet. I usually divide my stay in Sao Paulo between Jardins and Moema. I reserved the Mercure Alameda in Jardins for 10 nights. I will make my final decision after I see if there are any Black Friday discounts.

I visited Bomboa twice this month and I was wondering how is the walk during the night?

I reserved the Grand Mercure. There seems to be more nice restaurants in that area than there are around Pullman.I think you made a good choice. The Grand Mercure is a good hotel and it is in a better neighborhood than the Pullman. Check out Barbacoa (R. Dr. Renato Paes de Barros, 65, Itaim Bibi) if you like Brazilian churrascarias. It is one of the best IMHO.

I visited Bomboa twice this month and I was wondering how is the walk during the night? The walk is fine. I walked back from Bomboa to the Grand Mercure several nights after 1 am-1:30 am. No problems. When I left Bomboa I turned right and walked along Rua Paula Oliveira a block to Rua Dr Renato Paes de Barros, took another right and crossed Av. Pres. Juscelino Kubitschek to the Grand Mercure. It is a quiet walk past some nice high rise apartment buildings, a few townhouses, and 3 or 4 restaurants. The only time I took an Uber back to the hotel was on the night it was raining cats and dogs and I did not have an umbrella.

Update on three hotels I stayed at last three weekends.

Marriott Executive Apartments:

Nice rooms, good hot water showers. I have never had a problem taking girls there. Uber brings them to the front door and I go collect them. The staff is very helpful and most speak at least some English. Parking is Reai 35 per night. There is a buffet breakfast. I am a Titanium and lifetime Marriott Platinum but I am not sure that makes too much difference. Within a short walk of Parque Ibirapuera where I really like to visit and walk. It takes me about an hour to walk to Tangara.

Renaissance:

Nice higher end hotel. I really like the concierge lounge for dinner and breakfast. Only problem I ever had there was when I took two girls up with me. They charged me $60 for the second girl. I should have fought the charge but live and learn. Again, no problem meeting girls out front and taking them to my room. As an expensive higher end hotel, parking was expensive and it is a higher traffic part of town. FYI I ran into a few pilots and airline attendants that stay there. Probably take Uber to Moema and Jardins clinics.

DoubleTree by Hilton in Itiam:

Stayed there for the first time this trip. IMO not as nice as the other two hotels. In a very busy traffic area with bars etc so nice to walk around and get food. Had two different girls come at different times so the same staff saw them, no issues. Breakfast is pretty good. - I am Diamond status with Hilton so it is free. It is a 20 minute to the Marriott Executive apartments and so a little over an hour walk to Tangara.

This is the first time I rented a car. I used Localiza. I was able to drive through Sao Paulo and in the country side using Google maps on my phone surprisingly easy. Pickup and return is easy at GRU.

Ibis ibirapuera was a good option but isn't ideally located for walking and stupid Uber gives the wrong pickup location to drivers to the back of the building. I didn't take a girl myself while there but I did see others do it and I usually book for 2 peolple just in case. The location is about halfway in between Bomboa and the cluster of clinicas in Moema.

On Hotel Flor do Ipiranga it is a budget friendly option and love motel but I never notice any girls hanging around and the location is terrible. Uber drivers canceled constantly on me because Ipiranga is very out of tge way for them, its also where 2 canals converge so your ride to and from there will smell. I got stranded at Casarao Friday night because of the uber drivers being shitheads and I was forced to pay a taxi driver 70 reals to get me back, he recommended a bughet hotel named Colombo or something in Republica.

I will be staying for a week at this Marriott, quite close to Parque de Ibirapuera. Any one have some recommendations for lanchonete, reataurants, and small bookstore, coffee shops? Quiet bar, with no or low volume music would also be nice. Of course, I can consult with the hotel staff, but I don't have a girlfriend there, so probably stay sozinho.

Grato.

I had to drive away to a hotel after my AirBnB host gave no sign of life. Didn't even send notice to the residence front desk. Doesn't answer his phone. 869 euros, I hope AirBnB will reimburse. AirBnB has no real-time assistance (unlike Agoda). Answer promised within 24 hours, meanwhile you're in the street.

The apartment is in FL Residence, rua Elvira Ferraz. The host is named "Gust***. The ad reads "Moderno flat na Faria Lima". Be warned.

Grand Mercure Itaim 200 euros a night. Hotel Renaissance 300 euros a night!

If you live in London spare yourself the flight, call a London escort at 300 an hour.

Went to SP in June, a quick report about my hotels.

Tsue Palace (Moema).

Just like the previous report I can confirm the noisy sound of the planes due to the nearby airport. But that is also true for all the hotels in the area. Other than that the hotel is clean, staff is friendly, breakfast is simple but complete. This hotel is GF. No Key Card needed, the staff will call your room if you have a visitor.

This place is just 5-7 minutes walk from a Commercial Center. Clinica's nearby. Good restaurants. Safe area.

Mercure Alamedas.

Good situation near Paulista Av. Rooms are big and nice and the hotel is pretty quiet even with a central situation. Staff is helpful but does not speak so much English. The hotel is GF. A card is needed to use the elevator.

Transamerica Paulista.

I can't say if this place is GF or not as I didn't have this situation here. I assumed yes if you book for 2 people. But it sounds like some administration and talk with 2 receptionists always present and I security guard constantly in front of elevators.

.Thanks for the info. I booked Tsue for mid July. I plan to walk nearby to.

Clinicas and do a lot of daytime visits. We will see how much plane noise I can take during the evening naps. Before recharging for a night of debauchry.

I recently stayed at this hotel. I liked the rooms and the buffet breakfast. The employees were friendly and checkin and checkout were very smooth. The Wi-Fi was adequate. I got speeds in the 20 - 30 Mbps range when I ran a speed test. The area is very safe and there are many nice restaurants within a few blocks of the hotel. The big drawback to this place is the noise from planes flying in and out of the local domestic airport. The noise starts on most days around 7 AM or so and continues on and off until 9 or 10 PM. I stayed in two rooms. One in front and one in back. They both had noise. In the future I will avoid this entire area (Moema) due to the noise. I will probably concentrate on Jardins for future trips. I am a light sleeper, others may not experience the noise problem to the extent that I did.

Marriott Executive Apartments within walking distance to the park and I have walked to Tangera from there. However, now I just get an Uber because is is a long walk. As far as the hotel, I have taken girls up to my room every time I have stayed there and have not had any difficulties. Every time I have stayed there since 2018 there have been English speaking attendants at the font desk. Usually female. They have been very helpful.

Just a quick review. Bourbon is right Ibirapuera Shopping.

Got an Executive Suite for around $115 (includes breakfast). Very spacious room with a table for food and a desk for laptop.

There is a new chain of flats that has been opening up around Moema, Itaim, Vila Nova Conceição, Olimpia that I considered staying. It's called Charlie. Their prices are very good (like $50-$70 range) and some of the rooms / apartments in the picture look pretty decent some with a full fridge and kitchen sink. I may try one on the second part of my stay.

I know this hotel is directly in the flight path for the airport as you can look up and see (and hear) the airliners. I'm considering staying here the next time I'm in Sao Paulo, but I won't do it unless and until I'm convinced airplane noise is not an issue with their rooms. Others have said it isn't. What was your recent experience?

I am getting mixed signals about this hotel. I'm considering staying there since other people here have said its GF, but I just wrote to them and they said they charge 150 reals for visitors. Even if I book for 2, I'm a bit worried they would still charge me for having more than 1 visitor during my stay. Anyone have experience with this?

I just wrote to them and they said they charge 150 reals for visitors. If I were thinking of spending a great time with a pretty girl, I would very easily absorb any extra charge and enjoy myself rather than thinking about the extra 30 USD which I can save when I get back to USA by drinking less hahaha. But that is my take on it.

Even if I book for 2, I'm a bit worried they would still charge me for having more than 1 visitor during my stay. Anyone have experience with this?I just spent a fair amount of time at the Hyatt SP on my recent trip and I can assure you they are guest friendly. Most of the time I was able to walk my girls straight to the elevators and up to my room, but a couple of times the girl had to show her ID at the front desk. To be safe make sure you book for 2 persons.

Hyatt positives: it is a real 5 star and one of the best hotels in SP, CENTRAL HEAT in every room, nice pool & garden although it is a little loud from highway traffic, ample and well-appointed rooms, good breakfasts and late-night room service, a friendly staff, and very attractive rates are occasionally made available for Hyatt members. I stayed there pretty cheap!

Hyatt negatives: location, location, location. Not only is it a long ride to places like Scandallo, but the neighborhood surrounding the hotel is commercial and very uninteresting. There is a big fancy mall 4 or 5 blocks away, but the Hyatt neighborhood vibe is a big fat zero compared to staying in the Itaim Bibi or Jardin neighborhoods. The view from those Hyatt rooms facing north is iconic.

The bottom line is I like this hotel and it is one of my favorite hotels in SP despite its location.

There is a new chain of flats that has been opening up around Moema, Itaim, Vila Nova Conceio, Olimpia that I considered staying. It's called Charlie. Their prices are very good (like $50-$70 range) and some of the rooms / apartments in the picture look pretty decent some with a full fridge and kitchen sink. I may try one on the second part of my stay.I have looked at these with interest for my next visit. Has anyone used them and can report on girl friendly or not? I stayed at an airbnb in Pinheiros last trip and had to sneak the girls in.

Stayed at Bourbon So Paulo Ibirapuera Convention Hotel *in Moema. In my opinion, THE most important consideration when staying in Moema is soundproof rooms. I can confirm the rooms are soundproof. I stayed at other places in Moema including Airbnb, suites, and apartments, and regret not checking first about the soundproof room. Waking up at 0600 am sharp because the small jets taking off from CGH suck.

Bourbon is a damn busy business hotel with meetings and families. My criteria were peaceful sleep over taking chicas and garotas back to the room. I did clinicas. The superior room is as good as the Executive room. I never woke up in time for breakfast nor care about it. The front desk is competent, busy people, and the day shift: and night shift need retraining.

After a serious night of drunken partying at Scandallo at 0400 am I left my iPhone in the Uber. Realized it when got to the hotel room. To recharge iPhone. Frak, many of the apps including Uber require 2 FA by mobile phone number. I had no alternate way to sign in from my laptop due to 2 FA. That sucked. Finally found one of my old email accounts with no 2 FA to sign in, emailed, and alerted Uber.

Very good customer service response by Uber. The driver woke up at 0500 am to bring back my iPhone. The stupid night shift at the hotel told him I wasn't there in the hotel, they did not know the name, blah, blah. The driver went back home with my phone. I nearly blew a gasket after finding out he returned to the hotel at 0500 an and the night shift turned him away. Over the next 24 hours, frantic trying to reconnect with the Uber, driver.

After a while, I said frak it walked over to Prime on Sunday afternoon to console myself with a Duplo with Karen and Camilla. Damn, Camilla is great. A deepthroat sloppy BBBJ skills. I used cash as always. Could not risk getting the occasional text of a security verification alert while using a credit card. After an exhausting session walked to the hotel. Checked with the front desk.

Lo and behold my iphone was returned. The dayshift team smartly figured if a Uber driver is returning an expensive iPhone the person will show up. I gave the front desk gal a big hug, then immediately signed into my apps to turn off the 2 FA for text or mobile and kept only sending by email.

The phone and data were backed up, of course, the 2 FA was a frustrating part about losing my iPhone and those incompetent night shift team for not accepting the damn iPhone when the driver returned the first time.

Reasonably priced, Big and busy with lots of action, and you can't get any closer to the clinicas in moema than that, and the mall across the street, great for the food court and shopping, and Scandallo is only a 15-20 minute uber ride away.

Wish there was a compiled list of Moema places confirmed as garota-friendly and soundproof windows.

It's a great walking neighborhood or a short Uber ride to Clinica and Scandallo.

I like places in Moema, one bedroom, with a kitchen, coffee maker, guest bathroom for the garotas, and soundproof windows.

I have looked at these with interest for my next visit. Has anyone used them and can report on girl friendly or not? I stayed at an airbnb in Pinheiros last trip and had to sneak the girls in.They run quite a few apartments in SP. I stayed in one recently in Moema, right near the Bourbon hotel. They are a new breed of rental agency where everything is automated. It is not a hotel, not even close to it, its more like an airbnb, no room service, no daily house keeping. Security was tight, but all virtual, there is no doorman. You ring a doorbell and someone probably in a call center somewhere lets you in if you're name and picture match what they have on file. They explicity say only registered visitors are allowed. I didn't try to bring anyone in, but I am pretty sure they are NOT girl friendly. The place itself was actually pretty nice, but I think overpriced. Hope that helps.

Sounds like not the place for me as I enjoy having friends come over for the night.

I am sitting in Scandello on a Thursday night writing this report / inquiry. The ride from Moema (Mercure Times Square, my hotel) to Scandello is horrible. It takes 30+ minutes due to heavy traffic. I have gone every day this week, and the traffic is always there. Plus the Mercure requires cards for their elevators, which sucks as it make it weird to bring girls to your room with a small lobby. The funny thing is when I booked the receptionist on the phone clarified there was no card entry. This is obviously not true! Anyways, hoping for some personal suggestions from fellow ISG'ers on hotels (no airbnb please) that are a short cab ride away and DON'T require card entry to hotel nor elevator.

I also stayed again in Mercure Times Square. I have never had problems with visitors there.
I would not personally recommend this hotel. (1) I did wake up once due to plane noise (2) Elevators require key cards (3) There is a security guard during the day time and maybe at night (don't remember the night part). (4) Drive to Scandello is heavy traffic and takes 30+ minutes (5) Ubers are hard to get as many drivers keep cancel (I used uber x primarily, and maybe that is a general thing in SP). (5) They don't have any cups in the room if you need a drink of water you go to the lobby. There are pluses too. Its a super budget hotel, with a decent staff, that is close to daytime clinicas (and high-end ones, I think I have been to all now. KKK, which I finally understand means LOL).

I think when the fellow ISG'ers have a different definition of girl friendly. To me, GF means the girl can walk straight up to the room w / o a elevator key card, or reception ID check, or reception calling you for visitor, or security guard gatekeeper. Thats not the case here for this hotel! I am coming to think there are no hotels like this in SP. If you wish to avoid all the above, you need to book a lush motel and meet the girl there, which is not convenient.
