First, the bird's eye view: Guadalajara is a feasible option when one is desperate to escape the sex prison for a few days. It's well-connected to the USA with several daily flights, it's efficient to get in and out (no covid test required to enter Mexico) and half-hour sessions at local places can be had for 600-700 mexican (current rate is 20 mexican for 1 usd, so $30-$35). BBBJ is not included, extra charge is common, between 200 and 500 mexican. It's not as great as Brazil, and the talent selection is rather limited, but I found it to be accessible and safe-ish, with not much BS.
Transportation: Guadalajara airport is very sensible and easy to get through, both inbound and outbound. Breezed through the immigration and customs, was riding Uber about 20 minutes after the plane landed, and got to the hotel about half an hour later, still less than 1 hour from plane landing. Going to the airport, basically the same story in reverse.
Hotel: I stayed at a no-name place near Plaza Del Sol (easily within walking distance to Hobbie Inn and Palacio). That area is very safe and walkable, although not very exciting. But then neither is Guadalajara as a whole.
Covid test: things can get complicated with it. There are 2 pharmacy chains that offer antigen test for about 350 mexican, and 1 testing lab chain "salud digna" that does it for I think 280 mexican. All of them require appointments, though sometimes the appointments are available on the same day. I visited 4 places like that with no success before I learned my lesson. Eventually got it done at a farmacia benavides, where they made an appointment for me for a few hours later in the afternoon.

Other things.
Money: most places take credit cards, my visa or mastercard worked for 95% of what I needed, although there were a few places that only took cash. ATMs also generally accept foreign cards, though Santander bank doesn't. Be careful. ATMs can run out of large bills, and they usually give you warnings before dispensing stacks of cash.
Food: generally more expensive than other places in Mexico, though still cheaper than in the USA. I had surprisingly hard time finding guacamole.
Gambling: there are several casinos in the city, I visited Winland Casino and Casino Majestic, both are within walking distance from Plaza del Sol, both are dark-ish and depressing. I was there in the late afternoon, and there were no table games active except for one baccarat table with one player. However, there was a lively crowd of degenerate gamblers pushing buttons on the slot machines.
Fun: there's a circuis!! Also near Plaza del Sol, on weekdays has 2 x shows in the evenings and on weekends it has 4 x shows throughout the day, tickets are only 100 mxn. It has clowns but no animals. Performance level is kinda similar to decent street performers, but overall it's an unusual distraction and it's much cheaper and a lot less pompous than the dusoleil thing.
Other than that, museums are open, the downtown historic area is open as well, and walking tours are available.
The hobby.
I am going to be very brief. I visited several esteticas masculinas (Hobbie, Paloma VIP, Palacio, Top Flight, Luigui, and Mr. Rubio). I also ordered from alexscorts. I don't remember any of the names.
The only place I visited several times was Hobbie. They have the most selection (3-4) and hot water in the shower. Paloma had a girl with a terrible attitude, this was the only girl whose name I wish I remembered so that I could warn others. Top Flight had only 1 girl who I didn't like so I didn't stay; Luigui was open but with no girls; Mr. Rubio had a nice selection of 3 girls, one of them quite likeable. 1 hour is 1300-1500 at these places, hhr is 600-750, BBBJ is extra 500, and there's basically no negotiation on those. There's a ton of those places sprinkled around town, so there's room to explore.
Ordered a lovely creature from alexscorts. She showed up exactly on time (even 1 minute early), the cost was 1500 + 200 for BBBJ, she hugged before the deed and cuddled after the deed, and would probably do it a second time if I wasn't too old for it. She stayed for the full hour (even a few minutes extra) and I'm very happy with the experience, will repeat.
Question for the regional experts: what island/ beach destination would be safe, reasonably priced, and good for the hobby? Guadalajara would have been perfect but there's no ocean, and I have a strange desire to sit on a balcony and watch the waves when I am not meeting lovely ladies.

That part of town near Plaza del Sol is more upper middle class so the cheap food would come from the street carts. The east side of town will have food prices for the more frugal among us. I have not found any of the coast in that part of Mexico to my liking. When I am in GDL I prefer to go to the pueblo magicos in the hill country. The town of Tequila is close by and an easy day trip for example.
Perhaps others will have beach suggestions.

I don't mean specifically in Mexico, I mean generally in the region between USA and let's say Colombia. Colombia is too far for me logistically to make a weekend-ish trip worth the effort.
In the old days I liked Jaco in CR exactly because of that. I could get a hotel right on the beach at a reasonable price, and bring some reasonably priced beauty there from that bar where beauty was to be found. But now as I understand things have changed in CR.

Well I'm happy to hear you had a semi good experience in GDL. I'm confused on what exactly you were looking for or to do when you mentioned that it's pretty boring. Also not sure what type of restaurants you visited and what you wanted. I've found many great places to eat in GDL. Usually I am a steak guy so I don't know if you ate just more traditional Mexican food. Next time you visit if you do I'd recommend Santo Coyote. They have a bit of everything and certain times they have traditional Mexican dances. Also if you order guacamole they prepare it at the table for you.

First time in this Guadalaraja thread and even considered moving there from the USA. After reading the last 11 pages in order to see in general what this city offers, the conclusion that I've come to is:
-- All BBBJs are an extra charge, unlike my experiences in Brazil, DR and Thailand where it seemed standard.
-- If all I wanted is a BBBJ (no other sex, I'm sometimes lazy) like I experience in BJ bars in Bangkok, the price in guadalajara for only a BBBJ will start around 1000 or so mexican pesos due to there always being a standard charge for the girl plus an upcharge of around 500 pesos for the BBBJ.
Disappointing, as 50 US dollars for just a BBBJ is too high, no matter what city you're in, in the world. No relaxing solo BBBJ for me, at those prices, I would be forced to bang as well (sorry USA girlfriend). Looking forward to returning to Thailand, that's for sure.
Am I understanding anything incorrectly here? Still think I may visit, but definitely concerned that haggling over prices and dealing with upcharges on all kinds of services that should just be standard may take the fun out of this trip. Happy I didn't read anything in the 11 pages concerning outrageous stuff like an upcharge to touch a girls' tits (but maybe I would have, if I read the last 20 pages).

I have thought to one day do the Progresso-Merida angle but alas have not been able to pull that trigger. Family always got in the way. One day.

BBBJ service is considered extra if it is even offered. Some ladies will only commit after they feel comfortable with your hygiene. If your a repeat customer some of them will do you deals on price, service, etc. But that would take time and as always YMWV.

In Cancun, I kinda figured out where I can walk around and where I can't. Similarly in GDL (seems generally a safe place) and CDMX (generally unsafe but tons of options for incall and there are street taco joints everywhere).
For Progresso and Merida, the logistics of getting to them is something of a challenge. No easy airports nearby.
My dream destination would be some island where I could plop myself on the beach and every few hours go get a girl or arrange for a visit. Then when I get bored I could walk into town and get a local version of a taco.

After reading this thread, I am planning my first trip to GDL in late October. I finally signed up for Twitter and have been researching and finding women that I would like to meet on my trip. No worries getting one at the airport but you may have to wait for a bit as the Spanish speaking mob will beat you to it. Next option is just get to your hotel and ask the receptionist where the nearest Telcel shop is. Cheap and easy.

No luck at the airport from memory. When you come out the gates at the airport they mainly have taxi services or car rental. Then you have a Starbucks and places to eat so I don't recall seeing a Telcel. Just outside the airport they have an Oxxo. I would just look on google for a Telcel close to your hotel and stop on the way or after you check in.

It's in a better area and more fun at night and places to eat. It's not much more of a cost and as for the noise you can get eat plugs. Which they have coverage many places. It's slower than TelCel and at times it does not connect when you need it most!
Just get a TelCel sim, load it up with a few bucks of time and you will not regret it.
Better yet if you have a backup data phone. Just keep your Tmobile phone and have your TelCel phone. Its the best of both worlds and you will see just how much faster TelCel is.

You just take a taxi from the Airport or San Diego border and say "Hong Kong". All the drivers know.
Cascadas is the hotel next to the bar and during the week the prices are lower otherwise somewhere around $90.
There are 2 main other bars that are next to HongKong which are also safe. Tropical and Adalita's.
Don't go to Honkkong on a Friday or Saturday night if you don't like crowds (I don't either). Go in the afternoon like 2-6 pm. Many girls still but not so crowded with others etc.
I have been to bars in Ensenada. There were a couple but are pale in comparison to HongKong. The place. The staff. Are exceptional.

I don't believe any OXXO sells the SIM chips but once you do get the chip. You can reload the card at any OXXO which I have done many times.

So I looked on inDriver and offered 250 and was picked up in 10 min. Got the drivers # to take me back to the airport when I leave for the same price. Highly recommend this app if you visit.

I have Sprint, which is now part of T-Mobile and used it in Tulum last winter. It connects automatically to the Mexican service provider in your area and there is no extra monthly charge for this international service. Texting is free though international calls (receive or call) are. 25 cents per minute. However, if someone from Mexico calls me on my US number using their Mexican service provider they will generally incur a telephone call charge. This is not good for mongering because most Mexican women have inexpensive plans that charge to call international numbers so they will never call you unless you have a Mexican cell number.

Well unfortunately I didn't spend time with any girls this trip besides drinking. I did reach out to a couple of escort agencies and Twitter girls but didn't do anything for various reasons. So most of my time was eating, and going to the strip clubs at night. So if you have dining questions just ask but will only talk about the strip clubs on this report.
First club I went to was Casa de George. Been here in the past and like the set up. When here before they didn't have much of a selection and when I went back this time it has gotten even worse. The only good thing is that they don't have a cover or a minimum drink. I seem to remember before having a 2 drink minimum.
Second club was Cesar's. This club is just a few blocks from Casa de George and planned on just walking but the taxi guy right outside said he'd take me for free since they give him a commission. I always like this club and it didn't disappoint this time. It had more of a crowd and girls compared to Casa de George and just the life and atmosphere in the club was fun. I hung out for awhile watching one girl that caught my eye. Finally invited her over to have a few drinks. Now the drinks are expensive if your use to Tijuana but I don't mind. I think the drink price is 350 or you can do a mini bottle for 900 a full bottle for 3400 and they have higher priced ones but don't recall the prices. So the girl was from Colombia as most seem to be from Colombia or Venezuela these days in these bars. She didn't have very good conversation skills and seemed like I had to engage her more and not her doing her job. She may not be the type to drink much or she only wants the high price bottles that she makes more from. As far as the driver calling you at the airport to be picked up it's that if your not a airport taxi or just a regular person and try to pick someone up at the Oxxo they will get a large fine. So you just have to walk down a little ways where the can pick you up. The taxi driver I had last time told me for clients that have his number he will just use his wife's car so they don't fine him. I have some general comments about Tinder and Agencies in GDL that you may find informative.

It can trip you up but its a fun learning experience. For burgers and hot dogs, I have to watch them because if you don't they will put everything under the Sun, as sauces go, on it. I like mine quiet plain compared to Mexicans.

Beef in Mexico is cut much thinner because it's tougher, so whatever type of beef taco you get, it will be properly cooked through. Al Pastor gets sliced thin enough off the trompo, and finished off on the hot griddle beneath, that it should be completely cooked through when it's in your taco.
In the 20+ years of eating street food in that part of Mexico, I've only gotten sick twice, and both times it has been Chorizo / Longaniza.
A cousin and I ate at the exact same mariscos stand once, and I had a regular "Coctel de Camarones" and he had one with Pulpo (octopus) and he got food poisoning and I didn't.
If you like Quesadillas, at any taco stand, you should ask if they can make you an Americana. It has different names, sometimes they call it a Nortea or a Gringa, but it's basically a flour tortilla, with a bunch of Queso Fresco and meat of your choice. Sometimes you just have to have a bacon and egg sandwich and forego all the Mexican breakfast dishes. Its a few blocks west of Ave. Chapu off of Ave. Vallarta. Right on Av. Chap near Cotilla is Qin, similar to Panda Express, that is similar in quality of the food. I thought it was reasonable in price and the food is good.

But it is a decent place to get your vegetables and it is very reasonable in price, about 90-100 pesos for all you can eat, not including drinks. I have tried 4 of them, and they are almost the same in terms of quality of food and price. Nothing special about them but you can eat a lot for a little.

My advice, don't bother, they may have some type of show but it is not a strip club (table bar in GDL).
Its a place to have a meal and drinks with a pretty girl, like the saloons of the old west. They are there to provide you company at your table during your visit.
