I would definitely like to hang out with you in Nuevo Laredo but unfortunately I won't be able to go down again until Saturday, December 15th. If you do go down there this weekend, I would suggest staying in the downtown area at La Montera, Emilianos, La Rhumba and Jorrochos (the latter after all other bars close after 1:30am). Jorrochos is the only game after all others close and it is a pretty fun place. Some good looking women. If you are heading over to NLBT, I would suggest hanging out on the street where Papaguayos, Marthas, Shamrock are. This is the street going straight ahead when you enter la zona. This is the advice I was given by the duena from Shamrock. I will be honest with you and tell you that I had some bad vibes even in the Shamrock. NLBT is not the same at all, especially with all the best bars like Papaguayos, Tamykos and Danash closed. The owner of Shamrock pretty much pleaded with my friend and I to not go over to the bar Los Arcos or the other street. I would take her advice. I'm sure that Bbond will probably confirm this.
Now as Bbond indicated, there were a lot of new girls in La Montera Saturday night. And many were pretty good looking. Don't know where they came from. I talked to several locals who told me that things are way better downtown. You can see it as people are walking the streets everywhere. This is a good thing.
I got some scoop on the shooting in the Blue Fox. Apparantly, two dudes wearing some nice clothing (designer jeans and cowboy boots, etc.) gunned down the two people in the bar. After that they walked into Emilianos very calmly looking for someone else. After they entered Emilianos, the establishment shut down immediately and ushered everybody out of the place. This freaked everybody out and all got off the streets quickly.
The good news is everything is looking better downtown. Just make sure you stay away from Laura (you can't miss her. Big ole rack and nice body). Let me know when you want to go down to Acuna for an intersting change of venue.

I have some business to attend to this Friday & Saturday in Laredo. Now that the situation in NL has improved, I think I will head to NL on Thursday night, then return on Saturday night, staying until Monday or Tuesday.

About 3 weeks ago, my friend and I went to Acuna and Hunter's Ranch up on the hill. As I walked in the establishment, the waiters immediately ushered me to sit over by what they said was a "new girl." I went ahead and obliged, finding myself sitting next to a beautiful blond haired girl wearing a fishnet outfit revealing a beautiful rack. We started chatting and immediately hit it off as she told me she was from Ensenada (Baja California). I told her I had been down there on fishing trip many times and she knew all the places I told her I have been. Restaurants, cantinas, etc. She proceeded to tell me that she just started working at Hunter's on the advice of a girlfriend. Her main reason for coming to Acuna was an older, possessive, jealous as hell boyfriend that she wanted to get away from. She told me she could not go anywhere without his consent, which was rare. Additionally, he did not allow her to wear makeup in public as he thought it would attract other men. He also beat her regularly. In short, she had to get out. One evening, her boyfriend told her to go buy groceries and she faked being seriously hill. He went ahead and did the shopping leaving her at home. This was her opportunity. She quickly grabbed whatever clothes she could get her hands on, stuffed them in a suitcase and had her girlfriend come and take her to the bus station. Hence ending up in Acuna.
We spent about 4 hours chit chatting and had a great time. She said she wanted to stay overnight with me for $150, of which I agreed. As we got into my room (nice room next door at Club Rio which has since burned down) , she asked me for the money up front. I told her I would give it to her afterwards, at which point she said not and quickly exited. The next morning, I saw her in Hunters drinking coffee and she apologized for not trusting me. I told her it was ok. She next told me that she was going to Zacatecas the following Monday as she couldn't make enought money at Hunter's. No business. I told her to wait and give it some time but her mind was made up.
She regularly texted me everyday once she got to Zacatecas, asking me how things were going and stuff. She said she was working in a bar there with a friend a making more money than at Hunter's and that she was happy. I asked her if she would like to come the weekend of 12/15 to Nuevo Laredo to spend a weekend with me. She told me that she would.
Two days ago, beautiful Sandra from Ensenada, along with 6 others were shot dead by three gunmen who entered their bar and opened fire.
RikiMichaels, that is so sad, especially to happen to the girl who just wanted to get away from violence.
I have no clue where Zacatecas is. However, I was in NL from last Wednesday to Sunday. I was amazed at the vibrancy of the Old Town (I did not go into other parts of NL except twice by taxi to Boystown). People were out all day and night. I felt very safe even as late as 1 to 2 AM. It's really amazing considering that there's no police at all (and when the drug gangs were somewhere else).
I will have a more detailed report soon. I am real busy at work right now.
Violence is returning, in the last 24 hours 9 killed. 7 in a restaurant, La Palma, where we often eat carne adobada. Saturday 2 grenades were thrown in a bar, Taverna de Moe, it's a ways from centro, but goes to show shit is flying again. Wednesday night the Montera was unusually slow, the Herradura has re-opened, Intimo is supposed to re-open next week. The Herradura is open but with even fewer clients that before, being almost empty all night.

Finally managed to arrange an escape and trying to decide between the two. Since I have not been around for almost a year, any recommendations would be appreciated. If I am lucky, a 32 year old ex-Papas girl may be able to cross into Laredo Texas but I will not get confirmation until Thursday.
With all the craziness in NL, I might want to stay in the downtown area if I go but not sure whether to drive or walk across. My favorite hotels are located further in but I worry about getting car jacked. If I drive across, do any downtown hotels include secure parking? I do not plan to stay out late as I want to find a girl for all night and not leave the room until morning. The last time I went to NLBT I managed to get my favorite door girl Adriana to accept a similar deal.
As for Acuna, I have had success at Jessie's bar and know the hotel across the street allows guests (for a fee). I made several trips last year and found downtown bar girls willing to do 3 hours and 3 attempts for $60 (usually young and 7 to 8 range).
Since this is a unique opportunity, I want to maximize the fun by getting at least 6 hours time. If NL is too risky, I can opt for Acuna instead.

If you do plan on driving, I would recommend staying at my favorite hotel. Hotel Meson Del Rey. This hotel is a couple of blocks south of Bar Montera and does have secure parking. Believe me, contrary to what others have posted, this hotel is the best. Puts the Fiesta to shame. Nice rooms and nice staff.
Personally, I am getting tired of the Nuevo Laredo scene. The Montera is about the only happening place but it is full of what I call "token collectors." These are girls that will hustle you over and over again to buy them beers so they can collect their dollar per beer. I am also finding that the quality of women is getting worse. You can find some pretty nice women from time to time but the pickens are slim in NL. Went to NLBT two weeks ago. Hit the Shamrock, which is owned by the same owner of the now closed Blue Fox. I found NLBT to be sadly dissapointing and rundown and a waste of time.
I would really head over to Acuna. You can hit the Corona Club, Tochos and Jessies. Once in a while there are some cuties in these places. If there aren't you can always head up to Hunters and grab a girl to hang out downtown so you don't have to pay those ripoff drink fees. That ripoff owner, Tino, will initially charge you 100 to take the girls out but you can negotiate 40 or 50. There are much better looking women in Hunters.

On a different note, the girl named Laura that I have previously written about. Generally from a very disappointing point of view. Who is a good looking nicely endowed women but a biotch. Saw me with my good looking girl Lety two weeks ago and apparently got jealous to the point where she has basically threatened me with the following remark:
"We will see what happens to you the next time you come down here." Unfortunately, I have to take this comment seriously as I'm sure she is well connected and just cold hearted enough to do something. Therefore my friends, I will not be visiting Nuevo Laredo for a very long time.

Looks like the Acuna option is less likely because my Saturday morning schedule may have been moved up. Appreciate the responses. From the sounds of it, NLBT is not worth the trip and downtown is crawling with "ficha-cudas" that I definitely find irritating (especially since I am no longer a drinker). At Acuna, I avoid running into them by hanging out in the street until I see a girl that catches my eye then a quick "estas taloniando" (are you working?) and I ask the girl out of the bar to discuss the conditions of the offer. In any case, unless I want to leave Acuna super early, I am weighing my two Laredo options.
Option One: The old faithful (32 year old, ex-Papas girl) that got her papers and can spend the night with me on the Laredo Texas side. She might be a 7.5 in the looks department but she is a 9+ in the bedroom department and she can probably be talked into accepting $180 for all night. The money I save on the girl could be spent on dinner and maybe a stay at La Posada.
Option Two: Fresh meat (18 to 20 year old, Safari girl) is the daughter of another old faithful (ex-Papas) but I have to see her on the Nuevo Laredo side. I have not seen her lately but she was a 9+ in the looks department but an unknown in the bedroom department (her mom and aunt were both 10's so hot sex could run in the family). On the down side, she insists on $250 for all night and I need to pay her mom $50 for pimping out her daughter. I also have to risk crossing over into Nuevo Laredo (described in some posts as a war zone).
I will definitely provide an update on how my trip turns out. On a side note, what's up with the Safari club (is it in NLBT or downtown)?

Had a gringo associate attempt to go to Boys Town Saturday night. The taxi driver told him NO, that it was closed and had been for a long time. Needless to say he didn't push the issue.
Said he found a place downtown with decent girls. He emailed me a pretty detailed report, ill see if I can repost here.

Traffic was kind of crazy downtown so I parked close to Compass Bank and walked to La Posada ($114 plus tax for king size bed). I checked in when and managed to retrieve my car to park it downstairs when she called and asked for me to cross over to help her across. She was all panicked about finding her way there and also explaining why she was crossing so late so I ended up walking across into Nuevo Laredo around 8:30pm. Things seemed relatively safe at that hour so I might take the chance with Option Two next time and get a place downtown. The problem with getting a room in Laredo Texas is that I have less options if the plans change in any way. She drove us back across on the walking bridge and the line took about half an hour. I told the border guy she was my friend and we were going shopping and he was ok with our story.
Once at the hotel, I got one off in time for us to make our way to the restaurant before it closed around 10pm. Food was tasty and plentiful but pricey. I got her back to the room for a second round which I also completed. She was either a great actress or she really enjoyed both rounds (either way I was pleased). For the record, she was 33 and not 32 as I first reported. She was worried about her kids and did not want to be out driving too late in Nuevo Laredo so she asked to leave around 11pm. As a result, I only paid her $100 for the two rounds and she was cool. I sent her on her way and enjoyed sleeping in my luxurious bed.
Based on my observations, downtown Nuevo Laredo seemed relatively safe around 8pm. My amiga's nervousness tells me to not venture out to Boystown too late (after midnight or so). Glad to hear from BBond that door girl's are still available as I managed to successfully get some to do hotel visits before (for bargain prices). If I am lucky, I may get another chance to escape right around March for Spring break.

Walk down the main drag, Guerrero until you get to the first stop light, Hidalgo, look to the right you will see bar Montera. Ignore any pleas from street touts for assistance, you will be fine. The Cadillac Bar is long closed, sorry, good food sometimes, but not always, anyway, closed. Get a membership here to get PMs activated, I have lived here 4+ years, have know downtown a lot longer than that, almost everyone downtown knows me, I am usually here every day, more than happy to assist anyway I can.

But downtown has always been pretty good, average girl is about a 5 maybe; I would like a supermodel type every once in a while but a 5 is good enough for me when I only pay about 180-200 pesos with room total. And even after a caguama or 2 its all good. Stick to jessies and tochos and theres a new little joint they opened that was once a part of tochos that was on the side, ithink its called la granja now its getting some decent action with decent girls I haven't seen.
PN I don't know man. I just wouldn't go just too many firefights out there and as far as the BT is I wouldn't drive with the police corruption, but you can always take a cab and then you never know if those guys are halcones and end up taking you elsewhere.
Trust me about acuna, I go about twice a week and I've only felt unsafe about 2 times I've ever gone.
I just made a trip down Tuesday night. It was super slow but no competition. Some decent looking girls among the few that were out and no competition. Stayed at the Fiesta and had no problems whatsoever. Was really quiet. Montero is about the only thing going right now. Stuck my head inside of Herradura and saw nobody inside. Only one other American that I saw all night, Beavis likes these conditions.

What is the story on mp's in neuevo laredo? What are the prices and can I get a map. I have only been to juarez and I wonder what it's like in your area.
No MPs in Nuevo Laredo. Most of the action is in the downtown bars. Boys Town used to be the place but it has pretty much dried up.
I may have a chance to go to Laredo in a week and I was wondering what is going on there.

It is with great sadness that I have had to depart South Texas (San Antonio). I accepted a position with a firm in San Diego and began working there this past Monday. In doing so, I am leaving behind some wonderful memories of two of my favorite border towns, Nuevo Laredo and Ciudad Acuna.
In particular here is what I am going to really miss:
Nuevo Laredo:
- La Mina Bar: My all time favorite little bar on Guerrero since closed. Great juke box and open aired where you could watch people walking by all day.
- Papaguayos: The first cantina I ever hit in Nuevo Laredo in 2006. Was run by a great lady since passed away by the name of Ophelia but has since closed. In its heyday, this place was funner than hell with a lot of fun girls.
- Tamykos: A gaudy Chinese themed bar in NLBT with a few decent women. Great old lady owner and daughter. Great jukebox where we would play Chicago, Santana, etc. Closed down now.
- Danash: Nicely decorated strip club in NLBT with some of the most beautiful women I have seen on this planet even though the drink prices for women were high.
- La Montera: Great, fun bar downtown with a live band. Once in a while you can find some real good looking women in there. But few. Great waiters and drink prices and you can dance there.
Ciudad Acuna:
- Corona Club: My all time favorite country themed bar ever. In its heyday, various country performers played there including Pat Green, Jack Ingram, Radney Foster, etc. For some reason, country music when played in this establishment sounded fantastic. A couple of Antonio Banderas movies were filmed here. Its a one of a kind place even though few visit there now.
- Crosbys Restaurant: Closed now. In its heyday and fabulous restaurant and bar with great food and ambience.
- Hunter's Ranch: Cantina that used to be great five plus years ago with some beautiful women. Could be even better if the friggin owner, Tino, lowered his drink prices that are outrageously high.
Now my tribute to the women of these South Texas border towns:
- Letty: Met her in La Montera. She is absolutely the sweetest, melloist, go with the flow, always had a good time, never asked for money woman. One of a kind that I will probably never meet again. She wanted to move in with me in San Antonio in February but hasn't answered my texts in over a month. I totally love this woman and will never forget her as long as I live.
- Veronica: Met her in Pullman bar in NLBT. Cute little blond that was as sweet as Letty and loved the hell out of me. One of a kind. Tough life for this sweet girl. I pray to God that her life turns around. Would love to see her again.
- Yandell: Beautiful brunette used to work in Papaguayos. She and I have had some tumultuous times together but I still like her.
- Laura: Beautiful rack. Frequents La Montera. A total hustler that I threw out of my hotel one night because she lied and said I bit her nipple.
I want to thank Bbond and McKlipsch, amongst others, for there postings and responses on this board.
I am really getting sad thinking about what I am going to miss but hope to someday return. In the meantime, I will be heading over to Tijuana quite a bit. I actually met a cute girl there this past week. We spent two days together, went to the beach and a fun little bar where we played jukebox music until the wee hours (Bee Gees, Chicago, Santana, Earth Wind and Fire, Luis Miguel, Christian Castro, etc.)
Adios all my amigos and amigas. I am going to miss the hell out of all of you.

Whatever your problem is why don't you go find a forum that is interested. I am sure that CNN has a forum that you can go smear your oral diarrhea and you might even find one person who is interested. All you have ever posted here are news threads filled with the dangers of visiting Mexico. We don't care what you can find on the internet to dissuade people from going. We all have people that we know and trust who we are much more likely to listen to than your constant badgering of Mexico. If you had contributed even one valuable post perhaps you would have a tiny bit of credibility but you haven't. So I am sure that I am speaking for all people who use this forum when I request that you take your waste of bandwidth elsewhere.
All you have ever posted here are news threads filled with the dangers of visiting Mexico.Beavis, I can see your point, SusanX does seem to be stuck on the security situation in Mexico, but this is a factor when visiting Mexico. I blame the demise of NLBT solely on the lack of good security out at NLBT. (The demand for good pussy sure hasn't dropped.) The lack of good security has greatly affected Juarez also. Americans going to the market area in Juarez is down 98% due to Americans being afraid to go to Juarez.
The fact that NL doesn't have a police force should be an embarrassment to NL. They feel they can't field an honest police force. That's why they don't have one. (Juarez can't field an honest police force either, those crooked fucks.)
I don't think Blourogus (sp?) or Kosherkowboy go down there anymore. They're just tired of the bullshit going on down there. It kind of kills the fun.
I'm not going to Juarez right now, because of the security situation in Juarez. It's helping my bank account a great deal, but to be honest, I'd rather be going to Juarez and having fun, and getting some good pussy.

Feb 1, 2013:We've had mongers from El Paso, robbed and hassled by the federal police, while mongering in Juarez. The federal police in Juarez can be just as bad and corrupt as the municipal cops in Juarez. Mexico can't get it's act together on law enforcement in Mexico.
Also, the Mexican soldiers do randum searches of houses in Juarez. Many Juarez residents complain the the soldiers just start robbing them of items in their houses, while doing these searches.
The little I've mongered in Juarez, I haven't been hassled or robbed by the mexican soldiers, or federal police, but I have been robbed and hassled twice by the municipal cops. They are real blatant about it. Their attitude is, "Fuck you if you don't like it."
Also, Cumbianow was robbed and hassled by the NL cops, back when NL had municipal cops. He was in that downtown area that Bbond hangs out at, and was walking from one mongering bar to another. A municipal cop spotted him, and told him to give him $50 bucks, or he would take him to jail. Cumbianow gave him $50. That's the kind of shit going on.
Last Thursday I went to Boystown with the trucker vans. It cost 25$ round trip. They leave at 7:00 pm and comeback at midnight during the week and at 1:00 on the weekends. They let you off at Safari or Martha's. The van driver tries to impress upon everyone that those are the only two safe bars so stay away from the others. Since they get some kind of commission from these two bars I don't know how true that is. I walked around a little myself and everthin was real quiet. Onyl a dozen or so door girls working. The Safari had a good line up and I recommend a girl who calls herself Lola. Everything goes and a massage at the end. They ask 60$ and 15$ for the room. Beers are faily cheap.
You can buy a bucket of 5 Coronas in Safari for 5$. The girls drinks are 5$ also. I went to Martha's also but the ineup wasn't as good as Safari. i will say this since the general consensus of the reports are safety any more. mexico can still be done and safely but, if you are one of the ones who are weak at heart and scared of anything more than a car door slamming you probably won't feel safe. i have no problems whatsoever but then again i have been to places that would scare the pants off of many. i have spent a lot of time in mexico and more deep in mexico than the border towns. only on two occasions have i heard gunshots and one of those was me firing a line throwing gun at a couple of drunks. the other was two zetas getting popped near the hotel fiesta so make your own decisions. i am sure bbond has a lot more stories than i do on this matter but he spends more time there than anyone on the board. he lives there and still posts. yes there is a chance you will get shot. there is also a chance that you could get eaten by a great white shark, struck by lightening, attacked by a grizzly bear, and raped by a team of college cheerleaders. all of these are possible scenarios.

I drove down to Laredo in hopes of catching a festival in Laredo by day and monger by night. Instead my car decided to break down in Cotulla, and required some walking to the nearest Autozone and a very helpful shadetree mechanic to get me driving again. Instead of getting there at 2pm, we got there at 10:45pm. I was hoping to get to see Safari before midnight for once, since I heard some of my favorite doorways girls are working there now, and hit some doorways after that.
That was pretty much scrapped, and we ended up getting there, after napping and showering, at 1:45 AM, and the place was packed with anything but BT action. It was hundreds of little punk teens and their girlfriends hitting the dance clubs and buying narcotics, just packing the streets with people, and no place to park. Marthas and Safari has already closed. Alot of my doorway amigas weren't there that night or left before I got there. At least there weren't trannies hitting us up.

If you're still at NLBT after midnight you will see a significant population of 0 Taxis at the gate. If you're a decent fellow and not uber plastered, you can after hours go to the food stands in the middle main street and ask one of of them if they can give a you ride in carro to puente internacional for cien ciquente pesos. It's better than nothing. Otherwise you'll have to wait till 7am. The key to that method is presentation skills.
Danash is still under repairs, but Marthas and Safari have hot women and they're there till 12am, and 1am on Fridays and Saturdays.
That sounds like a small step in the right direction. If the taxis would go ahead and resume full time I am sure that BT would make somewhat of a return. I am sure it will never be the same but if we could remove the aspect of getting stranded there it would help. The streets are no longer maintained and are extremely rough, especially after a rain. Many people both men and women are still afraid to venture there, when I hear locals advise against going it shows they are concerned about the safety aspects there. One poster reported seeing a guy with an AK-47 on the streets, I have seen that guy and gun twice, very openly displaying it. I spoke with a door girl that I have know for years, she says they won't bother anyone, that would only lead to further the problem of people returning. Where it is calm today, tomorrow we could have shootings and grenades thrown.
The reason for this forum is to keep others informed of the situation as it applies to the monger, looking for girls. A monger's safety is also important, no one wants to be involved in any problems while in search of said girls. Current info is needed, problem is, what is current today is old news tomorrow.

You guys think I can get a GFE in Nuevo Laredo?
Last week I went to Reynosa Boys' Town, and I was taken aback by how cold & defensive the girls were, even after I offered them a large tip.I cannot comment on Reynose (never been) but I have frequented Nuevo Laredo and Acuna where I have obtained GFE. Admittedly, I speak fluent Spanish so I probably have an advantage but the phrases needed should not be too complex. You may need to provide more specifics on what GFE means to you for members here to provide some favorite phrases (example. With kisses included "con besos incluyido").
Another thing I notice in your post is that you wait to offer a "large tip". I do not find this to be an effective method. My preference is negotiate everything expected up front in the base price to avoid getting gauged in the tip department or finding out too late that the request is simply off limits to the individual girl (for whatever her reasons may be). This is also why I avoid middle-people because a girl may be willing to do many things as long as no one knows about it. Good luck and happy hunting.

The security situation in Mexico directly affects your safety while mongering in Mexico. I've been robbed 3 times by the cops in Mexico, and threatened to be thrown in jail each time I was robbed by them. That affects my safety while mongering in Mexico. I would probably get beat up in a mexican jail. Also getting kidnapped by the cartels would cause me mucho problemas.
Well I too agree that if any pertinent info is posted then thanks. However links to websites don't really merit a lot of value. Especially from somebody who obviously doesn't have much experience in the area. This is a board for information on the mongering scene not a blog of opinions. Everybody knows of the dangers from visiting the border towns. If this is prevalent in your decision of whether or not to venture then its your choice.

I went down Friday night. Saw a lot more Gringos than before. Bars all doing good business. Quite a few girls out later at night even some hot ones. I know it can change at any given moment but right now was the closest I have seen it looking like the old days in a while. Lots of people in the street. If Boys Town would just make a small rebound life would be good.
I have been to NL for many years, although not on a regular basis. Sometimes I go twice in 3-4 months, sometimes twice a year. Bbond is an old friend and can vouch for me. BTW, Bbond, I plan to come down at the end of April. Will PM you.
GFE: I have had GFE girls quite a few times. Then I have had non-GFE girls too. However, I have never had a girl leave before I am done. Regarding GFE, I tend to get that when I repeat with the girl, I. E. She is comfortable with me and the way I will treat her. Also, if she is good I generally tip her 10-20 pesos on top of the agreed price of 300-400 pesos. I also think the girls talk to one another and shared information, so it is important to set and maintain some standards (don't put up with bullshit) as well as show compassion and reward them for good effort. REMEMBER, these girls are poor, with lots of dependents, and it is still very cheap for us.
4-5 Hours: I have also done this many time but always with a girl I have already sessioned. You really don't want to be stuck for hours with a girl that is a turn-off. The best times I had were when I asked the girls to come to my hotel room around 3 to 4 in the afternoon and stay until 9 or 10 pm. They can still go back to Montera if they want to. One other thing: almost none will spend the night with me because they have children to go back to (maybe boyfriends / husbands too).
Finally, just because you have money does not mean the girl will want to go with you. She may not go with you one night but is anxious to go with you the next night. Unlike other mongering places like Tijuana or Costa Rica, these girls are free to choose. Perhaps their boyfriend / husband is around that particular evening, perhaps she's having her period, perhaps she truly has a headache, whatever, if she does not want to go with you, don't get pissed off. Go find another girl. Come back to her another night. That being said, there are also a number of girls who don't session. They just want to drink and dance with you.

well, the last time i reported on this site was back in january, right before i moved to san diego from san antonio. it was a sad day leaving san antonio, after spending 7 great years there. i am originally from california but i will take texas anyday over this high priced congested friggin state. gas prices for premium, of which my rx8 takes, are $4. 50 a gallon. i paid as much as $4. 95 three weeks ago. the roads out here are great and so is the weather, but everything else sucks.
two weeks ago, i called my buddy from san antonio and told him i was coming to town. we decided to head over to ciudad acuna friday night and then nuevo laredo on saturday. i procured a rental car and we headed down to acuna at about 12:30pm. got into acuna at about 3:30pm i had made arrangements to meet up with a cutie from hunter's ranch at the infamous corona club (this is my all time favorite bar to listen to country music. something about the acoustics makes the sound great). she told me she would bring a girlfriend for my amigo. so, we get into corona club and proceed to drink some corona's. well, after about 4 of them, and an hour and a half later, the dates are a "no show." of course my calls and texts to my girl went unanswered. so, after realizing that they aren't going to show, we head over to the corner bar called "tochos." this is an interesting place. looks and smells like a total locals dive and plays nothing but puro ranchera and nortena crap. once in awhile, there are one or two real cuties in the place. it is a hit and miss proposition. unfortunately for us, there were nothing but the usual gorditas in the place with a bunch of drunk locals sitting around drinking their 32 ounce beers (tor****s). yes, they sell or allow the locals to come in with these beers.
after two strikes out (first corona then tochos) , i head over to "jessie's" bar, which is a pool hall / bar. there were virtually no women in the place but i enjoyed myself playing some great rock and roll tunes from their fine juke box. my friend has a girlfriend in acuna and he met up with her. after a few drinks, i went back to the white river hotel where we were staying in hopes of seeing what my friend was doing. he was in the room with his girlfriend having a good time. i went into my room, showered and headed up to the hill to "hunter's ranch." i figured that it had to be a better venue than the previous three locations. much to my surprise, i was wrong. there were hardly any women in the place. i hooked up with one of the few good looking women in the place and we went back to my hotel downtown about 3am. all i remember is her totally rushing me saying."how much you pay me." "you pay me o no sexo." "you need give me propina." this girl was a total hustler. i gave her $40 and told her just to go home. well, my buddy had a good time with his girl but my return to acuna was a total bust. i would like to tell all of you thinking about going down to acuna to not waste your time.
well, the next day we head over to nuevo laredo. i called my girlfriend that i have known down there for years and she was going to meet up with me at about 2pm. we get down to nuevo and check into our favorite hotel downtown call el meson del rey. this is the best hotel in nuevo for the price, believe me. don't waste your money going to the dirty old beatup fiesta. the location, where a lot of shootings have taken place next to this hotel, is horrible. recently, i posted that two cartel thugs walked into the bar right across from fiesta called the "blue fox" and point blank killed a waiter and a woman patron. this was one of my favorite bars and it was subsequently shut down never to reopen. the duena now runs the "shamrock" down in boystown. been there a few times but it isn't that great and the waiters have told us stories of the friggin cartels driving around and indiscriminately robbing and shooting people.
well, to make a long story short, my string of bad luck continued. my girlfriend from nuevo never showed up nor did she respond to my texts. i found this interesting, as both of these aforementioned women have always showed up and have been dependable. i don't get it. thought the economy was supposed to be bad down in mexico. so, my friend and i get ready and head over to la famosa club montera. as i walked in the place, i was greeted very nicely by the meseros and several women. it had been awhile since i was in the club and it was like the good old times again. i must have had some bad karma going though. i met this beautiful little blond and asked her to hang out with me. she obliged and we drank and danced for about two hours. the next thing i know, she is all of a sudden gone. i walked around the bar and saw her in the arms of a local. as i saw this, i stupidly flipped her off. about 10 minutes later, she comes back over to me and i summarily dismissed her with the word "chingate." she got the message real quick and left. then i got to thinking that maybe i should have given her a chance. oh well, this made five strike outs in two evenings for me.
i had previously reported on a beautiful woman by the name of laura that frequents montera among other bars. her name is laura. this woman is a viper and will steal your money faster than you can blink. the way she does it is to seduce you with her remarkable assests (beautiful rack and body). then she gets you to commit to paying her for sexo. when she gets you in the room, she makes up some crap like when she told me "you bit my nipple. i no like that." of course, i didn't. this was just her way of skipping any semblance of foreplay to get the deed done so she can collect her money and get the hell out of there. she has done that to several gringos. avoid her at all costs. we saw good ole laura plying her wares but she refused to say hi or acknowledge us.
my friend and i, after a rather dismal evening, except for the fun time dancing and meeting old friends, headed over to jorochos. this is a bar that picks up after montera closes. i met an older woman in there and we spent about 2 hours making out and drinking. the next thing i know, she tells me she has to leave with her friend. shortly after that, i met a cute blond sitting with a friend. i went over and sat down with her and we had a great time talking, drinking and dancing. she was a sexy looking diva. in walks a waiter from the old blue fox who takes me in the corner and tells me to absolutely stay away from her. that her boyfriend is from the the mafia. just my damn luck. strike 7. i decide to walk outside and order a couple of quesadillas. they make the best ones right outside of jorochos. i eat my first quesadilla and this blond that i previously saw in montera walks out the front door. i look at her and say,"do you want to come with me to my hotel?" she said yes and off we went.

My opportunities to visit Mexico are rare and especially because I need an excuse that my wife will buy. So, dropping my in-laws off in Nuevo Laredo around 6pm, my story was that I planned to cross back over and spend the night in Laredo Texas and get back in time to go to work around 10am on Monday. I dropped off my in-laws around 6pm and then headed off to another area of Nuevo Laredo so I would be unseen. I had prearranged two different plans with two different chicas in the hope that Plan B would work if for some reason Plan A did not. During my out of sight time, I start calling the two girls with no success. So, I head back downtown around 7pm and was not impressed with what I saw. I realize I was probably too early but with Plan A & B failing I decide to cross over and head to Acuna by way of Del Rio Texas.
Bridge 1 traffic takes forever and I do not cross over until around 8:30pm. I make a quick stop to eat and drive up the road as fast possible and arrive around 11:30pm in Acuna. I check into San Antonio hotel only to find that ALL the bars are closed on Sunday because of a new city law! I am no stranger to Acuna and have had much success arriving around 8pm on weeknights (back when I could get away with work week adventures) , picking up a chick from Jessie's and having my with with her until around midnight for the low price of only $60 to $80 (two to three shots on goal included). I must admit that I have even gotten Hunters quality girls for that price. Most of the girls liked the deal because they could either go back home or party the night away with the money. So, I realized 11:30pm was late but did not anticipate a law would close the bars totally down. The place was a ghost town.
I had old phone numbers but they were over 6 months old so they were worthless. I asked the guys at San Antonio hotel to help but they proved worthless. Would I have paid $100 at this point (knowing I would not return for another 6 months)? Hell yeah! Heck, I was willing to pay $20 for a taxi driver to bring me a girl. Next time, I will try sending you a private message a week before I arrive to see if you can hook a fellow traveler up. Thanks.

And yes, forget NLBT, with maybe the exceptions of Safari and Marthas, perhaps Shamrock too. It seems Danash will not re-open ever, as they removed the lettering on the building and gutted the interior.

Thanks Bbond for the information. I hope NLBT opens again actively. It was my first experience at NL 3 years ago and I remember how much fun I had. Danash is a waste of time. Went there once and returned in few min. I knew it was high end and overpriced for simply no reason.
I wish to monger in NL preferably in down town where there are common people around and it would probably be safer than BT. I do not know however if there are enough gringos crossing into NL these days.

I don't know this Letty you speak of, I can ask around a bit. She, as many girls do, hook up with some-one, husband / boyfriend gets out of jail, etc, or go back home for a period of time. They disappear for a number of reasons, but she'll probably resurface sometime in the future.

For guys travelling through south texas, they now have a direct flight from reynosa to 4 places in mexico by viva aerobus which will cost you just 150-200 dollars round trip. Besides travel time is under 2 hours. Its great inexpensive airlines which I frequently take crossing the border from mcallen texas to reynosa airport.
Reynosa to veracruz.
R to Mexico city.
R to Guadalahara (Will start from September)
R to Cancun.
I do not suggest Cancun as mongering destination. I have been there but chicas are expensive without GFE.

The leader of the Zetas drug cartel, Miguel Treviño Morales, has been arrested, according to a current and former USA official.
Treviño, who's wanted on multiple indictments in the USA, including five murder charges in Laredo and is allegedly behind 2, 000 killings, was arrested in Mexico, said Mike Vigil, former chief of international operations for the Drug Enforcement Administration.
A current USA law enforcement official speaking on condition of anonymity also confirmed the arrest to the San Antonio Express-News. That official said Treviño was arrested Sunday during a shootout with Mexican military in Nuevo Laredo.
A spokesperson for the Mexican attorney generals office could not confirm the arrest, but said information would be forthcoming later today.
Vigil said Treviño, known by his radio call sign 'El 40, ' was arrested with his nephew by Mexican marines.
The arrest would be the biggest drug war victory for new president Enrique Peña Nieto, who took office late last year. Treviño is considered one of the country's most ruthless gang leaders, and his Zetas' empire is considered the largest drug cartel in Mexico.
'This is a major feather in the cap of Pena Nieto's counter-drug strategy, and is probably one of the more significant arrests in the history of Mexico, ' Vigil said.
Treviño's accused of smuggling tons of cocaine and marijuana into the USA and laundering tens of millions of dollars here through a number of businesses, including horse racing and real estate.
He also stands accused of murder for allegedly ordering five killings in Laredo, but the allegations go farther than that.
His brother and right hand, Omar, known by the call sign 'El 42, ' once bragged to a USA informant that the gang leader had killed more than 2, 000 people. 385 of them USA citizens, according to a search warrant filed last year in a North Texas federal court.
The informant 'asked '42' why he kept count of the murders, ' the affidavit reads. 'Omar Treviño told (the informant) that they just kept record of it. '
Its been awhile since I've been to NL, currently I see Cherry and / or Irma. But that's been over a year. Up until 5 years ago we used to be regulars at Boys-town. I always preferred the slightly older ones. My favorite was Jenny from Monterrey. She was an alcoholic but a fantastic lover, funny, spoke English and had a visa to.

Just got home from an almost normal night out. Forgive me but I just have to post this. I have witnessed, over the last few weeks, some complete idiots at their prime.
I mean these guys give girls a LOT of money to "keep them", and for them to stay away from the bars. But as soon as the guy leaves, she is fucking everything she can, all on his dime. Guy communicates his return time and date, so she knows exactly when she has to cool it. So it all works out.

I have friends that forked over thousands of dollars to their Mexican girlfriends, including buying cars, expensive jewelry, etc. I am actually a victim of "freeing a woman from prostitution." Years ago, I met a beautiful woman at the infamous Adelitas bar in Tijuana. She had to have one of the most beautiful racks and ass I have ever seen. Unlike your story, she was actually one of the sweetest and loyal woman I have ever met. I used to go out with her and guys could not keep their eyes off of her. Some were so brazen that they would actually come over and talk to her while I was with her. Almost got in some major fist fights as a result. She would summarily dismiss them, while remaining totally loyal to me.
The deal is that I saw her for 8 years. During that timeframe, I paid her rent and gave her food money under the assumption that she would find a legitimate job outside of prostitution. I paid for her to go to beauty school but she could never make more than $10 per day. She couldn't find a job outside of working in a factory making $60 a week as she didn't finish what they call Prepa or High School in Mexico. She tried coming to Texas three times and was caught by la migra and deported each time. A federal immigration judge told her she will get 10 years in prison if she gets caught crossing illegally again. To make a long story short, years went by with me forking over rent and food and other items such as clothes for her kids, assistance with her mother in the hospital, issues with her in the hospital, etc. Basically, her lot in life never changed and I got tired of forking over money knowing she would never make it to the US.
So, for those of you reading this post, take note of what you might be getting into if you ever consider a serious relationship with a Mexican woman. Especially the net impact upon your wallet.

And working wasn't an option of her because she had to stay home and tend to her young children and jobs in Sabinas for someone with a middle school education meant working odd hours for $40 pesos a week. Aside from that and I hate to say it, but aside from loving her the way I did, I felt sorry for her. Her life as a youngster was difficult and marked by strife. At birth she was left by her mother, who at the time also working as a prostitute, with a friend until the age of 10. During the 10 years she spent living in that home with here mother's friend she fell victim to abuse by the man living in the home with the lady supposedly taking care of her. By the age of fourteen she was pregnant with her first child. She married the guy who got her pregnant and lived with him ten years until arriving home from work unexpectedly one night to find him in their home in their bed with another woman who happened to be her best friend having sex. All in all, I can say that I have spent over $20,000 over the course of the six years I have known her. So, gentlemen be wary of serious relationships with these kind of women. Think with your head and not your heart. Easier said than done sometimes but absolutely necessary in this game. I couldn't pass this one up with the opportunity to comment on this issue. Just as RikiMichaels3 admitted and as Bbond stated, I have also been a victim, although for the most part allowing myself of this self-deserving inflicted pain of "Freeing a woman from prostitution". My "love story" has gone on and off for about 6 years now. I met this 24 year old cutie at what used to be Tamykos at the time. She went by the professional name of "Azalea", but her real name is Anna Maria. Sweet sexy looking recently divorced at the time cutie from Sabinas Hidalgo, Nuevo Leon. As the story usually goes she would say that she didn't like working as a prostitute but was doing it for the money to support her kids back home. I've been trudging the NLBT streets since I was 17 years old (I am now 56) and never have I allowed myself anything more than the head that hangs between my legs to get involved with any of these women. But as fate would have it I quickly took a strong liking to her and soon enough found myself with a dollar gulping mistress. And I can admit now, a bad mistress at that. Got down to San Antonio Thursday at around 5pm from San Diego. Went to pickup my car rental and they had a Hyundai Sonata reserved for me. Just for the hell of it, I saw a white camaro sitting in the lot and asked if I could trade straight up. The guy told me it would generally cost me 100 a day extra but things were slow so he gave me the camaro for only $9 extra per day. Brand new 2014 camaro to cruise over to NL. Wow! What a great start to my trip!
Spent the night in a hotel in San Antonio and picked up my buddy after he got off work at 12:30pm. We both proceeded to drive down to Nuevo Laredo. Got into Laredo at about 3:00pm and parked in the trucker lot by the bridge and hotel La Posada. The soldier waved us through as we entered Mexico with no luggage check. Noticed there was no military vehicle at the crossing with that grenade launcher mounted. Though to myself that maybe things have actually cooled down. Was a good sign.
Walked over to Emilianos and ordered a beer. Two minutes later, Yandell walks in all dressed up and looking beautiful. This is a girl I met in Papaguayos about 6 years ago. She has a beautiful face and pretty good body but is getting up there in age. About 38 years old. She was a stunner when she worked in Papaguayos. Anyway, we had a couple of drinks and listened to some music. Took a couple of photos, etc. We then decided to get some Chinese food. There is a real good Chinese restaurant about one block south of the square over by the Hotel Meson Del Rey where we always stay. After dinner, she came over to my hotel. We had a good time and then she left to take some food home to her kids. Said she would be back in a couple of hours.

He has even come to my hotel late at night begging for money. My friend said he saw her a few months ago in the Montera looking beat up with big ole sunglasses on and that Javier is probably to blame. Well, to make a long story short, after about an hour, I see they are not hanging together and that Javier has touched base with her a few times during the evening. I asked him what was going on and he said he didn't have a clue. We leave the Montera at 2pm. When we walk out, we see her and Javier walking down the steet. My friend is like."What the hell?" This is after spending several nights previously with her in a hotel.
So after witnessing the above, we head over to Jorochos bar, which is the bar everyone goes to once Montera closes. The place was packed. I noticed that one of my previous girlfriends that I hadn't seen for a long time was working behind the bar. A cute little blond named Cecelia. I walked over a said hello to her. She and I had gotten into a couple of arguments previously and never fully hooked up as a result. We went over to a table and had a couple of beers. I hooked up with a cute dish and danced and drank for a couple of hours. Next thing I knew, cute Cecelia comes over and sits to my left with the other girl to my right. They are both holding my hands. I always wanted another chance to hook up with Cecelia and dumped on the opportunity. So off we went to my hotel and spent a fantastic night of rekindling our relationship. I love this girl. She is a mature, no game playing girl that doesn't expect anything. Great evening!
The next morning I spent time consoling my friend after what he experience the previous evening. Next think I know, his phone is ringing and the girl tells him she wants to come over as she feels bad about the previous evening. She comes over and they spend the whole day together. He was real happy, thinking that the relationship is back on. He said he was going to get the lowdown on Javier and her but never asked. I head over to the Montera later that night and the two of them showed up as well. They danced, drank and had a good time. At about 2:00am I head over to Jorochos as Montera closed. As I go over there I see Adelina at the entrance but with no friend of mine. I asked her where he was and she said she didn't know. Anyway I hang out until closing and Cecelia and I head over to my hotel for another fabulous night.
We wake up the next morning and my friend proceeds to tell me that he got a knock on his door at 3:00am and Adelina and Javier were standing outside. She tells him to give her money and nothing will happen to him. He asks himself what the hell is going on. After a great day, she shows up to extort money with her henchman. Javier is on the cell phone not even making eye contact with my friend the whole time. My friend tells her to calm down and give her $100 and they leave.
Hola RikiMichaels. Just my 2 cents worth of opinion, your buddy should have shut / locked the door on the extorting Pinche Pendeja & Pinche Pendejo. In my opinion, they were bluffing / B. S. ing your buddy with a veiled threat of harm to scare him into giving them money.

Man I feel bad for your friend it is unfortunate because of the drug war in Nuevo Laredo it has allowed low scum criminals like this Javier guy to intimidate people but I will bet this bastard will wind up dead some where.

I read your most recent post regarding your trip from San Antonio to N. L. And I notice that you mentioned that you parked your rented car in the truckers parking area next to La Posada. I am just wondering, did you then walk across into NL? I live in Laredo and have most of my life frequented NLBT quite often in the past but when the violence practically shut down the place I stopped going and changed my MO to visiting the downtown bars, although less frequently. I used to go all the time with a buddy of mine who would take his vehicle across, but his wife got wise and but his balls in a jar and through away the key, so NL is off limits for him which means that I am on my own. I'd like to get started on going again but not to sure if I should take my vehicle (truck) into NL or just park it on the US side and walk across. Which is why I am asking about the parking arrangement. Have you at any time driven your vehicle into NL? Or do you mainly walk across? Either way I am wondering which is safest or more / less risking. It would seem as if any of the ways has its pro and cons. Any info from any member on this subject would be appreciated.

The lot he refers to is, I think, the city lot close to bridge1. I know guys that park free, in the street, in neighborhood areas. How this will impact the operation of the Intimo, Angel pool hall, Bar Redaccion, Bar La Junta, and Bar Gusanos, is not clear. They closed Thursday and may re-open after the funeral. His family may continue to operate them I don't know the whole story yet.
Most people that frequent here also know that the Bar Herradura [Horseshoe], once quite famous here, is closed and for sale. It is my understanding the lien holder is, or at least was, going to auction it.

An auto accident in Mexico is a criminal offense, not a civil offense like in the U.S. / Texas. If you get into an auto accident in Mexico without Mexican Auto Insurance and are found at fault for the accident. You better have the cash to be able to pay for the damage to the other vehicle & possible personal injury / injuries. If you don't have the cash, you will be arrested and your vehicle impounded. Bbond posted recently that the NL Transito Cops are back working and some back to their extortion tactics.

You never knew what surprises those gate keeping thieves (so called cops) at the entrance would come up with. It's almost damned whatever you do. If you drive you run the risk of having an auto accident and dealing with that mess or being stopped by the transito for any made up infraction and having to pay your way out. And if you walk you I feel you're exposing yourself to being mugged by hoods on the street or even the cops patrolling the downtown area. Damn, it's too bad it's come to this.

Did Tomas also own the Angel Pool Hall?Your placement of Arkanos and Herradura is close, Arkanos is on the south-west corner of those streets, Herradura the north-west corner. The Intimo now has only one pool table, and it's condition is poor, Tomas rented the building for Angel across the street (used to be a restaurant) , I understand that arrangement will remain.

This is an introductory report on the NL monger scene, veterans to the scene please feel free to correct where I have made mistakes and please feel free to add anything I may have missed.
Nuevo Laredo (NL) is a Mexican border town across from Laredo Texas. Nuevo Laredo had / has a boys town (BT) a walled community where prostitution is legal, similar to the zone in Tijuana (Tijuana) and at one time rivaled Tijuana in terms of quality and quantity. Today however it is just distant shadow of its former self. Corrupt police shaking down gringos for bribes, drug wars with killings car bombings and kidnappings killed BT and now it is just a shell of what it once was.
The action in NL is in the down town bars, there are two bars where you can find P4P the Montaro which is the main bar and then late at night after it closes the action moves a block down the street to the Jorochos bar.
When traveling to NL you want to cross from the USA side to the Mexican side on highway 35/83, right before you come to the border crossing you will see signs for parking on your right. Take the right follow the road down it will run right along the Rio Grande there will be a park along the river to your left and to your right you will find the secured parking. The lot is secured and I have never had any problems with my car when parking there. Cost is around $10 per day. Once you park there is a building next to the parking lot, go up the stairs and to your right and you will see the crossing for the bridge, there is a small fee of a $1. Or less to pass through the turn styles and cross the bridge. On the other side the Mexican security may have some cursory check but for the most part they just allow you to pass right through. Security in NL is now done by the Mexican military, there are some traffic police but they are only a problem if you decide to drive into NL.
Once inside Mexico the main street in front of you running North and South in Garrero (sp?) for the first couple of blocks you will see pharmacy's and other type of stores, there will also be many hucksters trying to convince you to stop into their store or asking if you want to buy all kinds of various things, be warned if you allow one of these individuals to take you to a particular store your prices just went up as you are paying a commission for their services. About a block or two in you will come to a little town square with shoe shine stands and other various venders, continue walking for another block or so and you will come to the street where the down town bars are and the P4P. The street for P4P is Hidalgo Street. On the corner of Garrero and Hidalgo if you make a right on your left had side you will find Montaro the main bar for P4P it is a few paces from the corner it's a down stairs bar if you walk all the way to the other corner than you have gone too far and have to turn around and come back. The other bar for P4P is the Jorochos, when at the corner of Garrero and Hidalgo instead of making a right to the Montaro you will make a left and walk down a few paces and the bar will be on your right painted pink you can't miss it. This is an afterhour's bar and really does not have any action until after Montero closes.
Down Town Bars:
As stated above the main action is in the down town bars, I want to stress that these are bars for the locals, you will find a few gringos from across the border but the cliental are mainly locals I also want to stress that I felt perfectly safe in these bars at all times. Montero is the main bar for P4P the bar is filled with regular girls semi pros and pros many girls are there with their boyfriends many of their boyfriends don't mind if the girl gets a customer and makes a little money however, some of them will mind and it can be a bit of a land mind at times determining who is available and who isn't. From my experience about 90% of the girls in the bar are available from one degree to another. Be warned the girls get a commission if you buy them a drink and many girls will try to get you to buy them drinks all night rather than go with you. The place can become quite packed at times and can become quite fun. The Montero is open in the mid afternoon and gets going in the early evening. You can find girls there in the early afternoon available for P4P but the numbers and the quality is not that great. The quality of women in my opinion is in the 5 to 6 to 7 with a few 8 thrown in. The other bar with P4P is the Jorochos, this is a late night bar that does not get going until after the Montero closes, pretty much the entire crowd from the Montero moves down to the Jorochos and you probably won't find anything late at night at the Jorochos that you didn't see at the Montero or on the street earlier. Waiting until after the Montero closes and trying to pick up in the Jorochos can be difficult in my opinion as the number of girls available has diminished many who are available are now hanging and drinking with their local boyfriend or are now just in a party mood with their friends and not as easily approachable, but it is still possible to pick up chicas there at that time.
Hotels:
I stayed at the Fiesta 410 pesos a night, I probably won't stay at this hotel again it has a $5 chica fee after the first chica often however if you bring in chicas during each shift the person working does not know you had already brought one in. The hotel is clean and safe but does not have wifi or safes, there is municipal wifi provided by the city which you can pick up often in the lobby or on the second floor balcony. The Fiesta is located on the corner of Pino Suerez and Ocampo it is basically one block over from where the Montero is and a two minute walk at the most from where the action is. If you walk one more block south from the street where the Montero is you will find an XOXO store on the corner which is open all night turn to your left and walk on block down and there you will find the Fiesta on the corner.
If instead of turning left at the XOXO and walking one block down U-turned right and walked one block down you will find the hotel Regis It is on the corner. I looked at the rooms and they looked nice and clean was told it was completely girl friendly no fee was told it was 395 pesos a night and was told it has free wifi, probably the municipal wifi.
Free Lancers:
You will find freelancers on the corner of Garrero and Hidalgo along Hidalgo running a block or so in either direction around the front entrance to the Montero and occasionally on the corner in front of the Fiesta Hotel and also one block north right before you come to the corner of Garrero and Hidalgo, many of these free lancers in this area seemed young and not used to going with gringos but preferred the locals as their customers. You will also find freelancers standing on the corner across from the XOXO but many if not all of these free lancers are trannys and I came to call this section tranny corner. The number of free lancers is not great you will not find loads of them but there are a few and you will be able to notice them. There are a few beginning in the early afternoon around the Montero and the corner of Garrero and Hidalgo but there numbers start to pick up in the early evening and continue until midnight or one or two in the morning. You can still find a few after that but their numbers start to diminish.
Boys Town:
Boys town is just a shell of its former self the cost of a taxi ride from down town to boys town is $10 USA one way, had a couple taxi drivers refuse to take us there for safety reasons. BT is a walled compound that today looks like an abandoned decaying ghost town 90% of the buildings are abandoned and decaying the streets look like they have not been repaired for the last 20 years and there are only two streets that have any activity on them. Once you enter boys town right across from the entrance you will find the Shamrock which is still open and was told it is open all night going down the street you entered boys town on you will find Safar at the end of the street and on your left before the end of the street you will find Martha's, these three bars are the only ones that are still open in BT, both Safari and Martha's close at midnight and all three of these bars were extremely slow often we were the only customers in them. The women were in the 6 to 7 range with a few 8, was told Sunday and Monday nights are the best nights for the BT bars. NL is a major port of entry for goods produced in Mexico and shipped to the USA on Sunday and Mondays truckers assemble at the boarder to pick up their loads and bring them north so many of the truckers visit the BT bars on those nights. There is also a van service where a couple of guys will pick up people at a truck stop on the USA side and then bring everyone over in the early evening until midnight for a small fee.
There are still a few door girls even in the day time, however there numbers are not great, during the day we only seen 3 or 4 and none of the clubs were open, at night there were maybe a dozen or so door girls. The door girls are mainly one block to your left once you enter boys town. When you enter you will see Shamrock in front of you on the left hand side of the street and if you go up the street you enter on you will find Safari and Martha's however if instead of proceeding strait when you enter U-turn left and go one block over and then turn right you will find the street with the door girls, there are some attractive door girls many worth doing.
Once you enter BT turning to your left and going strait you will find many bars that cater mainly to the locals and are more for locals to come and dance and have a good time. There really is only one block where you will find any activity in BT the street you enter on where the clubs are and one street over to your left where you will find door girls, my wing man and I walked all around this block and felt perfectly safe no problems at all. The other streets looked completely abandoned and its probably best to stay off of them. There were a few, not many, other bars that looked open but when we poked our head into them they were completely dead absolutely no one in them. Taxis from BT can be a problem there are no taxis waiting in BT occasionally one will come through to drop someone off but for the most part there are no Taxis available when leaving. However, in the three mentioned bars, Safari, Martha's and Shamrock we were told that one of the waiters can give you a ride back for the same price you would pay the taxi if you session with one of the girls there and that is what we did when we were ready to leave. You will find a few gringos in BT but not many, it seems some locals like to come in drive around and look at the place and then go to the local bars mentioned above for dancing.
Prices:
Most chicas will go for 400 pesos in the down town rather on the street or in the bars, however there are a few in the down town bars who will hold out for $50 or even $60 USA in boys town the street girls were asking anywhere from $25 to $50 for 20 minutes with a tip needed for complete nudity or BBBJ or extra time. The BT clubs were charging $50 USA for a half hour plus 200 pesos for the room.
Services:
The services from girls no matter what venue, the down town bars, freelancers down town or the BT club or door girls was good. With the exception of the BT door girls who required a tip for it, all girls gave BBBJ allowed DATY and gave me very good even GFE service, I was pleased with the services I got from the NL girls.
Safety:
I felt safe never an issue at all day or night, we even felt safe walking around the one block mentioned above in BT. I was out down town at all hours of the day and night sometimes as late as 3 or 4 am either with my wing man or alone and felt safe. There are very few gringos there but the place is mainly filled with locals enjoying the party scene but they seemed eager to have our business and wanted to impress upon us that the area was safe for partying.
Bbond:
Bbond is the defacto mayor of the NL party / monger scene, he's a great guy and always willing to help newbies to the NL party / monger scene he can be found on the boards and will extend some helpful information and advice to you when it comes to NL. Buy him a beer or two or more for his help and you won't go wrong.
Money:
NL works largly on pesos you could probably get by using dollars but you often get a better deal using pesos. You will find money exhcanges along Garrero once you cross the boarder leading all the way up to the Montero.
Language:
Spanish everyone speaks Spanish but enough people know enough english to get by. The girls will only know a few words in English. I do not speak Spanish but never had a problem when communicating.
Final Thoughts:
There is a definite vibe to the NL scene and you will find P4P in NL at a good price. However, it does not compare (yet) to other monger destinations throughout the world it is more of a local scene but if you are in South Texas or find yourself in South Texas it is worth checking out, personally I believe it is safe and fun and can be had at a good price.

The bar used to be away from the corner, it was renovated and is now on the corner, the old part of the bar is still there, that is probably the Calle Bravo address. Galeana is the next street over from Ocampo, Bar Intimo and Angel pool hall are at Hidalgo and Galeana, Cascada is about as far north as Galeana runs, but it is one way running south. Bravo is the first street that you can go left on after crossing bridge 1, at the north end of the 1st plaza, it is one way running east. There are several locals bars in that area too. To get there walking from the Montera area, I would suggest walking north on Guerrero, cross the plaza and continue down (Nicolas) Bravo, the main entrance to Cascada is on Galeana just north of Bravo, there is another entrance thru the parking lot, close to the old part of the bar.
I just looked at google maps street level view of that area, the map pics are old, they show the bar before renovation. It looks quite different now.

Nuevo Laredo (NL) is a Mexican border town across from Laredo Texas. Nuevo Laredo had / has a boys town (BT) a walled community where prostitution is legal, similar to the zone in Tijuana (Tijuana) and at one time rivaled Tijuana in terms of quality and quantity. Today however qvhvchjzit is just distant shadow of its former self. Corrupt police shaking down gringos for bribes, drug wars with killings car bombings and kidnappings killed BT and now it is just a shell of what it once was.
The action in NL is in the down town bars, there are two bars where you can find P4P the Montaro which is the main bar and then late at night after it closes the action moves a block down the street to the Jorochos bar.
When traveling to NL you want to cross from the USA side to the Mexican side on highway 35/83, right before you come to the border crossing you will see signs for parking on your right. Take the right follow the road down it will run right along the Rio Grande there will be a park along the river to your left and to your right you will find the secured parking. The lot is secured and I have never had any problems with my car when parking there. Cost is around $10 per day. Once you park there is a building next to the parking lot, go up the stairs and to your right and you will see the crossing for the bridge, there is a small fee of a $1. Or less to pass through the turn styles and cross the bridge. On the other side the Mexican security may have some cursory check but for the most part they just allow you to pass right through. Security in NL is now done by the Mexican military, there are some traffic police but they are only a problem if you decide...[/QUOTE]

So I haven't been on this forum in a while, but last time I was in NL, my friend was telling me the fun stuff is gradually transitioning from Boystown to the streets of Calle Hidalgo. Maybe I misheard him or he's mis-informed, but maybe someone could verify? Have only been to NLBT three times since May, nothing noteworthy to report. Although this last time, during daylight hours, I had a Mex mechanic replace my car's catalytic converter that went bad for $40, and later that night driving back into Laredo, I made the mistake of telling BP the truth, I had my car worked on, Border Patrol interrogated me for TWO HOURS trying to get me to crack up. Probably would've been quicker to lie and tell them the drugs and aliens are in the trunk of the car in line behind me. Double negatives and unwanted guilt trips and all.
My previous mentioned globe trotting involved a few days in Los Angeles, and while no one was looking I stealth drove the rent car down to San Ysidro for a one nighter in Tijuana. A little bit different from Laredo and Reynosa, and all these mongerings and broken Spanish got me prepped for the role, so no sweat. Some things are different, others are the same.

I told that to a male agent once, he said I could do the same in Laredo, I told him that in Mexico the women were easier to catch. He laughed.

I will be visiting South Texas border today or Sunday evening. I can go to any one of the three. Please help me decide:
A) Will cross in evening and return tomorrow morning. Which is the safest centro to go to. And which hotels are good.
B) Which are are good night clubs to visit in the city you recommend.

Also on a first visit it really pays to have someone show you around, until you get a feel for the place, you will find Nuevo Laredo easy to navigate. The street touts, the guys that grab new people and try to offer their service, all know me and don't bother.

For hotels, I always stayed at the Fiesta, close to the bars, and girls know it well.

Laredo Texas report.
I had a conference in Texas so I decided to check Nuevo Laredo. I went one day before my conference and my friend was supposed to come three days after I arrive so I have one day to check and explore the area myself. The last time that I went to Mexico I didn't have a pleasure visit so you can check my previous post for more details. Because Laredo is before Nuevo Laredo I decided to check Laredo first before crossing the bridge.
I went to couple bars in downtown Laredo Texas and everybody told me that Nuevo Laredo still very dangerous so I changed my mind and decided to stayed and checked the USA side (Laredo). In Laredo Texas I went to couple bars in downtown and most of the places were empty or with bad quality girls. So I decided to find a room. When I was driving around I found a small bar in Santa Maria street and I decided to check it out. I went inside and saw couple girls who asked me for a drinks. Most of them were low quality so I refused to pay a drink. I was standing when I saw a beautiful girl around 8 or 9 in the scale of 1 to 10 but she was with two men. I past in front of them and went to the bar to ask for a bottle of water because I don't drink alcohol. One of the men asked me where I am front because I speak Spanish but not like Mexican. They told me that they were front Honduras and they don't know how to dance Mexican music. I told them that I don't know how to dance Mexican music also but I will love to learn. They told the beautiful girl that were with them to teach me. She came to me and said guerito (white men) I can teach you but I Said the next time. I wish I can dance. She took me to hotel that wasn't that bad and charged me 40 dollars and the rest (60) I gave to her. I just made one stop for condoms. So my friend got into an argument with me because I didn't give time to her to look the souvenirs, plus she was complaining because the prices were in pesos no in dollars and when she asked she cannot communicate with the people because she does not speak Spanish as I do. So my trip was a disaster. Scared plus arguing with my friend so we left.
The next day She received a called from a friend who want her to buy a liquor in Mexico so she asked me to go back to Mexico. I told her yes but she has to relax because the currency and the language will be different. So she changed some dollars to pesos bought the liquor and we had lunch (little goat) in Nuevo Laredo better experience than the previous one. I noticed that the people are not crossing to Mexico because I assumed they are scared.
My friend left on Friday and my flight leave on Monday so I have some days for myself. So on Friday I called my new friend on Laredo Texas and asked her if she can spend the night with me which she accepted if I give her 100 dollars and I can pick her up around 7pm and drop her around 8am. I told her I can give her $60 which she agreed but I have to pick her up around 11pm instead of 7pm. I told her fine and she told me that she will call me around 11pm so I can pick her up. She never called me and never answered my calls. I finish that night watching TV. I didn't know what happened because the night that I was with her she was so nice and she is really into sex which I love it.
The next day Saturday I decided to go to Nuevo Laredo by myself during the day. I was so scared. I checked the bar La Montera. I saw about 12 girls most of them look bad for my preferences. I ordered water. A guy told me that I dropped my jacket which I jumped when he told me. He asked why I am so scared and told him because the reputation of Nuevo Laredo. I went to the lady and ask her how much she told me that she charged 300 pesos but my friend told her that she can charged me only 200 pesos. I asked her what is cover under 200 pesos she said suck and front penetration. I asked her what about back penetration and coming in her mouse. She said I can come in her mouse but I cannot penetrate her in her back. So we agreed. We went to a room and they charged me 100 pesos for one hour. The lady suck me for a while and she asked me if I want more or if I want penetrate her. It was a nice and long suck. So I got in the top of her for a while when the bed broke and I hit my legs. I told her that I am fine so we went to the other side of the bed and after a while I asked her to open her mouse I came in her mouse. The next day Sunday I felt a little guilty because this guy showed me and went with me to the bars plus introduced me to some girls and he paid for my drinks and his drinks and also offers to pay for the girl which I didn't accept. I know what I make in one hour he has to work at least three days to make that amount. Similar cased with the lady. So I went to the stores and I bought a sweeter for the lady which cost me only 10 dollars and a watch for my new friend. After I bought it I went back to Mexico to give the gifts to them. I found the lady and I gave the sweeter which she appreciated and gave me her phone number. She told me that this is not what she normally does for living, the problem was that the immigration returned her to Mexico and she is trying to make some money so she can go back to Dallas Texas. I went to different bars to try to find my new friend but I couldn't find him. So I decided to go back to Texas and rest. If I go to Nuevo Laredo one day I will try to find this guy because I really appreciate it what he did for me.
In general. Nuevo Laredo is not the same. Not many tourists mostly locals. For me look scared and didn't go during the night. I never stayed overnight in Mexico. They told me that boys town is closed but I didn't tried. Not too many girls. I didn't have any bad experience but definitely our USA friends are not going there. I learned a lot from this website so I feel obligate to post so others can benefit like I did.

From the La Montera you will make a left in Guerreros street and will see it in couple minutes on your right. I am not really good in directions. I hope that help.

Made an impulse decision at 5pm on Saturday to rendesvous with my buddies down in Laredo later that night. First mistake.
Got there and they were meeting someone for quick 11pm brunch be back around 12:30-45 let me nap from the drive. Second mistake.
So when they finally got back at 2:45 and we drove down to downtown NL it was 3:15am and Monterro had already closed for the night. There were maybe two bars open but not for that reason. So we soldiered on and went to the NLBT.
Not a whole lot going on. What few usual suspects I prefer were unavailable that night. Just a bunch of rowdy punks going to the dance clubs, and just about everyone of those girls were attached to some dud.
I was tired, and a little bit edgy, and the slim pickings were kinda making me wonder why I bothered coming at all.
Briefly ran into a fellow gringo at a pool hall next to the food stand lady, said he was from either Kentucky / Kansas forgot which one but he's lived in Laredo. Totally forgot the guy's name, but I was kinda half awake at this point.

I dipped into the archives and had to comment on this post of yours. Man, I have to tell you that this post brought back some fond memories. I remember Sonya very well from Papaguayos. She had an awesome personality and was really a good person overall. Man, Papaguayos was great in its heyday when patrona Ophelia was running it. It first started going to Papaguayos in 2006 and had some great times there, as well as in Tamykos and Danash. Jamie was a great guy. Worked the door at Papaguayos and eventually waitered at Danash as you mentioned.
My buddy Chente (from Nuevo Laredo) and I used to hit up Papaguayos first, then Tamykos, then Danash, then Pullmans. We loved the juke box in Tamykos as it had a great selection of the rock and roll we liked. Journey, Santana, Toto, Chicago, etc. We spent many a night in Danash with some of the most beautiful women that one has ever seen. Pullman was fun as I met a sweet little blond that I dated for years.
Anyway, thanks for the memories with this archived message about Sonya and Papaguayos. I hope to see you sometime in the future, maybe in Nuevo Laredo. Hope you are doing well.

Got into Houston Saturday and drove down to San Antonio to pick my friend up and we headed for Nuevo Laredo. Got in at 8pm, took a shower at the best hotel downtown (Meson Del Rey) and headed for La Montera. Ordered a couple of Jack and Cokes and immediately had company. Cute little blond girl that is a regular. I proceeded to order her a beer and kind of got upset as she drank four in a matter of 10 minutes (I kid you not). Told her my buddy and I were leaving. We proceeded to walk around. I saw Bbond sitting at a table with 2 others and shook his hand. Still owe him a beer. We honestly didn't see any attractive looking women at all after being in La Montera for about 2 hours. We headed over to La Rhumba and were faced with a similar scene. Nothing to speak of. So we next headed over to La Zona. Man, the place was totally dead. Safari with 3 or 4 women (nothing to speak of) , Martha's with nothing and then Shamrock with nothing. We know la duena in Shamrock and there was a pretty good selection last time I was there 8 months ago. Two girls total. So off to Jorocho's at 2am. The place was totally packed, but nothing to speak of. I guess all the good looking girls went home for the holidays. Had to be one of the worst Saturdays I've ever seen in Nuevo.
I think I've gotten spoiled living here in San Diego now and frequenting Tijuana. There are beautiful women in several bars down there in La Zona, including Hong Kong, Adelitas, Bar Tropical and Chavelas. I have a girlfriend down there that looks like she walked right out of Playboy Magazine. It's a different vibe down in Tijuana. While the girls are more attractive, many are total professionals who will ream you out of every penny you have. There are some nice girls though. I still like the vibe in Nuevo Laredo and especially Montera where the drinks and cheaper and people a lot nicer.

Hit delays getting down to Laredo Friday night. Held up at work plus thick fog pretty much all of IH35 south of San Antonio. Got into Laredo at 3AM, went straight into NLBT. Again, very slim pickings. Did meet up with one of my usual flings, so that was good. Meant to leave at 6am, got distracted, left at 7:45am Saturday, and was patiently waiting in line for 4. 5 hours. And I yelled at my buddy the whole way this was avoidable.
Pretty much from here our Saturday daylife plans were shredded since we were counting on being back at the Laredo apt at a decent hour to recharge and be back in NL by 3-2pm but since we got to the apt at noon with zero sleep that didn't happen. Still sore about that whole snafu being 100% avoidable. Little things like the one time I should've had my cell phone with alarm with me instead of in my car. Unlike my veteran monger buddy who calls his name when knocking on our door for that 6am exit, this rookie monger buddy knocked once, heard nothing back and walked on thinking we were getting busy. I asked each time he knocked for her to shout "Quien?" and she motioned me off saying it's no one we know because she's used to the other guy calling his name. A trifecta of screwing up.
So we woke up at 9pm to meet some actual friends in NL for late night brunch. The said friends were an hour late from waiting for a 20 minute long shootout to die down, plus several federal police roadblocks they had to endure to get to us downtown. Did our brunch thing, then I wanted to take a look at the bars like Monterra and Jorrachos since they were close by. Literally got to Monterra 5 minutes after it had closed, followed the Google Map I screen grabbed to Jorrachos, which was in fact the bar we walked in two weeks prior. Same as last time, this Saturday night, nothing too red light, general bar setting many people, mostly couples and platonic groups. Looked around, tried to ignore guys in mens room snorting white stuff, think I saw working girls sitting at chairs without tables just 8-10 feet away from bar counter nearest front door. Even if they were, they didn't really float my interest to negotiate with them with the music pumped like that. Us three gringos stood around for about 5-6 minutes and bolted. Looked around for any other downown nightlife, what was found, one other nightclub on Morales st and one other place didn't really float our boats so we wrapped up in prep for Sunday afternoon's quest.
Wishing my firends lived in Reynosa instead.

Back in NL again, been down once or twice a month for the past six months and all is good here. BT is slow this weekend because the truckers arnt in town do to the holidays so all of the BT girls are down town in Montero. Apart from that all seems to be good and safe with plenty of pretty girls.

I had been taking my concubine to various "love motels" for a few months, she lives a ways from centro and does not go to the bars, (go figure, I met her in the Intimo, years ago). She told me that passing the Motel Paradise, on the bus enroute to meet with me, that they were running a special of 200 pesos for 4 hours, normally 300 pesos for that amount of time. We decided to check it out. WOW, nice place, I had been there before about 5 years ago, took a Papaguyos girl, I was drunk, (so what's new, LOL). So now, it's close to her house, and it's cheap, and NICE. Once or twice a week we meet there, don't usually stay the full 4 hours, come on, a guy can only fuck so much. I give her 400 pesos. Once in a while I give her a 500 peso note cause it's all I had with me, she looks at me weird, I tell to take it, I know she has kids. Then again when she on the rag, I may give her 300, cause all she did was suck a couple nuts, she happy with that too. My recommendation on Motel Paradise is 100% good. Problem for most guys is that it is not close to centro, cab fare there prolly be 200 pesos, then how do you get back, have them call another cab. But for me, I live, and drive here, it's a good deal.

OK, so Friday night Jan 31 / Feb1.

Went to Nuevo Laredo last weekend. Got there on a Friday, driving for 6 hours out of Houston. Showered and went to La Montera. Hung out with Lucy (mentioned in previous post). For anyone else venturing down, please be careful with the back side of the bar, the dance floor side, generally speaking, the girls over there are not working, that is why they are over there. These people have made it almost impossible to monger in Reynosa without feeling threaten by them. My plan of staying out of NL was definitely short lived. I will, however, do my best to stay out of La Montera. That place just gives me some bad vibes. We got down to Nuevo at 5pm on Friday and I walked over to Emilianos for a beer. About 5 minutes later I saw Chente walking by and we had several beers together. We headed up to La Zona at about 10pm and Safari and the new bar to the right of Safari were jumping. Had a great time there and then headed down to Jorochos. I hung out with a girl there and danced a bunch of times but she didn't want to come back to the hotel.
Each time I come down to NL I head over to La Rhumba. I met a girl in La Mina named Fabiola years ago. Nice looking woman, about 38. Hung out several times with her in La Mina. I think Fabiola and Cherry are (or at least used to be) regulars at La Rumba.Mike is not only a bartender at La Rhumba, he's the owner. Also owns Mike's Bar and at least one other bar, Casa Frieda. La Rhumba is having an anniversary soon, g / f and I are invited, g / f is a drinking buddy of Mike's. And I am still saying, that I believe it to be a fact, the Faboila Rikki speaks of is the same one I know, and will wager that she is. If you can remember the furniture from Danash in boystown, it was purchased by Mike and is in use at Mike's Bar, (actual name of bar), at corner of Juarez and Hidalgo.
I know "safe" is a relative term in tamaulipas right now, but is it still safe to chill out and have a few cold beers in Emiliano's? I'm reading about all these places that the whole place or different parts of the bar are owned by Z and stay away. I'm trying to not step on any toes and I would like to stay as far away from Z as possible. I'm a respectful gringo that just likes to have a few cervezas and perhaps meet a beautiful Mexicana, that's it. I don't act like a fool and I would never start any trouble. Where is it safe for me to go?
Where is it safe for me to go?Emilianos, or any other bar in centro is relatively safe, I am out most every night. The military, state, and federal police, cruise by now and then to keep an eye on things. Don't let the Z scare you, they are in business to sell drugs and want to keep the peace downtown so they can do their jobs. They will even help protect you from common criminals. The only recent problems have been shootouts between civilians and military, the military nearly always gets it stopped quickly, but flying bullets have no eyes, and being in the wrong place at the wrong time is always a slim possibility. I am usually available if you want someone to show you around to get comfortable with downtown.

Last night there was a lady in a wheelchair in the Intimo and later in Jorrochos. Emilianos and some other downtown bars are easily accessible too.
