I went last year with a friend to the Monaco and we were directly told that no guests were allowed. They said that I had to come with them to see the judge. There were a lot of people around so I felt reasonably safe walking with them. On the way, when I didn't understand most of the things that they were saying, they got out the phone and had a man tell me in English.

I'm staying at Hotel Mina and like it and think it's an excellent value. It seems to have a wide variety of customers. Here are some of the pros and cons.
Pros:
Location – it's easy walking distance to the Hidalgo metro station, the Hidalgo girls, the Walmart girls, restaurants, and lots of taco stands.
Price – room for 2 with queen bed is $429 pesos, including VAT & city tax (booking).
Room – large, clean, comfortable bed, nice desk and chair, night tables, small closet, nice sink with hot water and large flat area for toiletries, good hot shower, good TV, phone, good lights and outlets, sliding window for fresh air.
GF – I think so, but haven't tested it.
Cons:
No temperature control – no thermostat, A/C, or fan (that hasn't been a problem, room temperature has varied between 69 and 73 degrees).
No shower curtain – area around toilet is wet for a while after a shower.
No room safe.
I forgot to mention, the hotel has good free Wifi in the room (I almost take that for granted these days). Also, there is a free daily bottle of water, soap, shampoo, and hand cream.

I need to report another attempted scam. It doesn't add much to what has already been reported but some of the details are different and may be of interest. I was very thankful that previous scam attempts had been reported on ISG. Those reports helped me tremendously. Even real cops might try to scam you, see my report of 9/11/17. You did good, gramps, don't be afraid to make a scene and don't let them take you to seclusion. Walk away, as you did, that is the best defense and walk where there is a crowd. A real cop, if you are truly detained, won't let you walk away. I don't recommend pulling out your cell phone, he might grab it and run (nor your wallet). You were smart to carry only your ID photocopy. Write on it the 24-hour emergency number for the US Consolate and ask the "cop" (real or otherwise) to call. A real cop or a fake cop will back off when exposed. "For after-hour emergencies, please call the Embassy at 01-52-55-5080-2000, press "0", and ask the switchboard operator to connect you to the duty officer."

I had barely settled into my airline seat for the flight home before I vowed to return, and I have — to coastal resorts and colonial cities, to Cuernavaca for language lessons, to archaeological sites from Chihuahua to Chiapas.
We also have traveled to other countries, but nothing has ever topped that first trip. Mexico showed us its best: the attractions, of course, but especially the warm, welcoming people who introduced us to the pleasures of travel.

What are you writing to them? Though I was there on Sunday, which is usually a slow day, I was able to get at least 5 responses but mainly because I already had a room ready to go. I recommend that you stay at whatever hotel most convenient and comfortable for you and then take an additional short-term room at a hotel as arranged with your date. Many will visit your hotel, depending on your location, but only if it is worth their while in terms of your offer and their own schedule. Short term rooms range from about $200 pesos ($10 USD) to $650 pesos ($32 USD) and usually for 3 to 5 hours. About $300 pesos ($15 USD) is the norm. Except for Fridays and Saturdays, you can usually take the same room for 24-hours at the same price but you must ask. All of the girls that I have reviewed will visit a hotel on Calz. Tlalpan, it is escort central for escorts in my price range. Upscale girls mostly visit the fancier de paso hotels to the west or southwest sides of downtown; colonias Roma, Condesa, Patriotismo, etc. But some of them will also visit Tlalpan. The upscale girls will very likely visit your hotel at the Hilton or Sheraton or whatever, as will many Tlalpan regulars.

Spent five days in CDMX last month. Here's the good bad and ugly.
The good.

A reliable source tells me that there are two expensive Karaoke bars in the Zona Rosa with gorgeous girls of many nationalities for take out. It seems that the best, safest way to get there as it's not busy until 11 pm or so, is to take a taxi. Do you just let the taxi driver know that you want to go to Calle Sullivan and do they pretty much know what you're going there for? I'm guessing that you just have to get a taxi from the street rather than have your hotel call one for you or else everyone in the hotel is going to know where you've been? Also do the taxi drivers drive slowly so you can look at the girls and then once you've picked one, do you let the driver know and does the negotiation for price and what you want happen with the girl coming up to your taxi window and speaking with you while the drivers stopped or do you just have to get out and is it safe to walk up and down the street? And then if you go up with the girl, does your driver wait for you and the taxi meter keeps going or do you simply just go back onto the street when you're finished and then just get a new taxi to take you back to your hotel?

I don't trust or understand the criminal justice system, not even in the USA. If I choose Hyatt Regency in Polanco, how can they really prevent your guests from coming in? I'm not talking about street girls, but girls I meet online. I stayed at the Amazonas and I was stopped while going upstairs by security who asked me who I was (I don't speak spanish well enough to know what he said but I'm guessing it was for that). I showed him my room key and then he let me go up. With the Harare I had no problems. It's been about 4 months now so it may have changed at the Harare but when I was there some girls were in the lobby and there was one guy behind the bullet proof glass check in window that honestly didn't seem to care less or even notice who walked in our out so maybe your luck might be better at Harare for multiple appointments without a fee.
The only thing I would caution about regular, straight hotels is that you won't have a problem with them BUT when I stayed at the Hampton Inn & Hotel Catedral in Centro Historico the sliding automatic doors were often even locked during the day (required your room key to open them) so if you weren't meeting your girl in the lobby or on the street, she would've had to have been let in and maybe that's where the hotel will ding you with whatever the charge is for a guest (I'm guessing considerably more than the $5 TO $10 USD in the love hotels).
If it were me I would highly recommend (if a lot of girls are involved in your trip) just staying in one of the love hotels like Amazonas or Harare. On my last trip, I made the mistake of staying at the Hampton Inn and then having a "fuck" hotel down in tlalpan. It ended up eating up so much time going back and forth between the two and honestly the two hotels I listed above, while not Hyatt quality, had nice enough beds, a tv, nice enough shower and quite large rooms. Train or bus are easy to get onto from there or just do what I did and get an uber to wherever you planned on going for the day. I would've saved so much time, money, hassle and would've been able to see at least 1 or 2 other escorts if I had just done that in the first place.

You are not going to find something like HK, TB, AB, etc in Mexico City. Drinks are extremely expensive (think $12 USD+ for a beer), many reports suggest girls are at best 6 or 7's and those higher rated ones are rare to find, and if there is anything offered apart from a tame lap dance it will be extremely expensive (as in if you've complained about paying $100 for a HK BG you'll be paying a lot more in Mexico City). All in all you're going to end up walking out of these clubs like you've been reamed. You would have better luck if going with friends of seeing if there are any pool parties and other events similar. There is also some info on the forums here re: a sex shop that may have some a couple of girls (not the most attractive) to have some fun with while there.
Your best bet is doing the escort scene and if you're there with a group of friends you may have some luck in having some of the independent girls and their friends they offer duos with meet you all for drinks somewhere before retiring to a hotel room together or separately. The strip clubs are really pointless and Tijuana has Mexico City beat in this area.

I had to pay 150 extra because I was having a threesome.
Google Maps has it listed as 2 stars but it was recently remodeled, meaning the room still smelled a bit like fresh paint.
