Yes I finally tried la famosa Carolina at BSD recently. I often wonder why she does not work at one of the other places (like Meau Meau) where her price would be a lot higher. Anyway, I did not see my favorita Isabelle at BSD this night so that opened the door for Carolina. I had heard she was fairly mechanical in the bed and I found the same to be true. She did allow some kissing and I did not ask her for DATY.

I asked her if she worked the next night even though I was going back to Arizona. She said she was not working but she did say "I would like to come to your hotel tomorrow on my day off." My taxi was there waiting for me as soon as I stepped out of the room., so I did not pursue it. But if she is there next time I go, I would like to get her at hotel Samil maybe. Away from BSD, she might be more open and not so mechanical.

On the way back, I asked the cabbie to stop at La Mosca. When we got there, parking lot was empty but right next door is a new place (new to me --it has been open about 6 weeks) whose name escapes me at the moment. As soon as they saw I was a gringo (I was only gringo there) then they were very friendly. Set up like american strip club. I saw a couple lookers in there but did not pursue anything there. Maybe the next trip I will ask them if they
go back to hotel. My cabbie enjoyed himself there stuffing peso bills in their thongs so he was a happy ******.

Hello Joe. We all had a good time. Another buddy unexpectantly flew in to town so there were a total of three of us.

We all met up on the Mexican side Friday night about 12:30 am. My first friend got us all rooms at the Chinesca Hotel. The hotel is centrally located in the zone and the price/quality was very good. It cost us $28 per room per night and was clean. It could be a bit noisy at times so I would suggest bringing some earplugs. I had mine as I always travel with a pair. My bilingual friend was told at the front desk that you were allowed to bring in one guest. We did not do that but it is good to know the place is guest friendly. If anyone stays there please verify this for yourself if you want to do this. All in all it is a good clean hotel in a good location at a good price. We later went to the Amazona strip club and had a few drinks. Not much happening there. Walked and bar hopped around the zona and about 3 in the morning got a cbj from one of the girls working the hotels. My one buddy got laid and the other found nothing to his liking. A fun, OK night.

Saturday we had breakfast and spent the afternoon walking around. We had a few beers later in the afternoon and then took a short siesta. We then went to the Bar San Diego. I can't remember the names my two friends were with but they said they were good. I was not going to partake as none of the girls seemed the least bit interested in being with me. I have done a bit of mongering internationally and I don't go for the most attractive. I instead try to find one with the right chemistry. So I was just sitting at the bar thinking I would get something later that night when Daniela approached me. It seems to work better when they try to sell you too. She is about 5 foot tall, 105 lbs or so and in good shape, twenty something years old and told me she was from Vera Cruz. She sold me so off we went to room 26. She started of with a good massage she promised me and then on to cbj, reverse cowgirl, cowgirl and finished with doggie style. One of my better experiences and probably my best with a Mexican girl. She was into it like Columbian or Nicaraguan would be. I will be looking for her again on our next trip.

We finished the night at La Casona. A nice place too. Had a lap dance by Isis. Most of you would probably say there were prettier women there and at Miau Miau but Isis really worked for me. Her smile and beautiful eyes just had me. I thought about trying to get some extras there or even barfining her but was not sure how to go about it in an economically tolerable way. If someone knows the rules there please share them. We plan on making another trip to Mexicali the first week of May and would glady spend some bucks for her.

We left Sunday morning. Walked back to AA parking on the U.S. side. It took us twenty minutes total hotel/car. Took us a few minutes to get through customs though. My buddy and I were the only anglos going through and it took us longer then anyone. Not sure why.

All in all a good trip. Next up for us is the Philippines at the end of March. My second trip and my buddy's first. Can hardly wait.

Went down to Mexicali SDB. I was there for a while on a thursday night. Didn't see anything I liked until this young thang walked in named Pamela. Pamela is short long hair, big tits, very pretty face, she 5 ft tall. Well we got a room. She started off with a great Covered BJ and I mean great. I know this is not a great report. But I gotta say it. I went to SDB last Sat. night. Got there about midnight. I know it is kinda late. Maybe some of the girls have gone. But there was not one girl I would even think about sticking my johnson in there. I know there not known for having the great looking girls, but talk about lizzards. It was sad. I visited these clubs tonight 2-28-06, and had a blast. It was expensive but so much fun. Just wanted to thank Joe Arturo for his driving directions, I have been to Mexicali 100's of times and never knew about Forrester road/Central. Thanks for the hot tip, it saved me at least 30 minutes off the drive time. Lots of hotties in Miau-Miau. I, for one, have had enough of the uglies in the other clubs. I am happy to spend a couple extra bucks to get down and dirty with a total hottie. You only live once guys. I have a date with one hottie next week!

La Mosca is on Coumohetec (I know I am spelling it wrong) which is also known as Aviacion by the locals because the airport was there a long time ago and going East it will take you to the road that goes to the newer airport. There is a Carl's Jr on the corner of Justo Sierra and Coumohetec. And Coumohetec is the next major intersection with a signal south of Las Americas which is one of the routes to BSD. Go east on Coumohetec and La Mosca is on the right side in like a block or two. There is a new club just east of La Mosca on the same side of the street that I have not tested yet.

There are some new talent at Excalibur (formerly Pajaritas). Isabel is an older (about 35) gal that used to work at El Establo. She still has a great body and is excellent in the sack. Janet is a short blond with real white skin from Caborca. She is about 20 years old. There is another new one that is 19 years old with black hair that looks like she is about 16. She is really cute with a cute little giggle. I can't think of her name right now.

And at El Establo, I found a gal named Melissa that gives head almost as good as Alicia used to at BSD. She is an art student that is working her way through painting school.

Changing gears. I read an old copy 2/14/06 tody of LA VOZ the local newspaper and saw many ads inside for masaje. Some even spoke english. Interesting - most ads from women with a few from men to serve the gay population.

Hi Jack. I have tried the massage newpaper ads 3 times in the past. One of the times a chica that could not have been older than 15 showed up. They always show up in a car with somebody else driving for protection. I had the same results all 3 times. The gal would lie there like a sack of flour or like a piece of wood while I fucked her. Fred. If they don't know you, the girls at BSD never seem interested in being with you. That is because they don't make any money fichando (selling drinks to you that they ddrink for commission). They ususally sit around in groups with the other girls and chit chat. They hardly ever will approach the customers. I have found in the past that the ones that approach you are usually not good in the sack. They are only interested in going to the room as many times as possible during the night.

Believe me these girls are indeed interested in being with you. That is why they are there. Pick out one that looks good (I usually look for the smile and the laugh while they are chit chatting with the other girls) tell Castillo (or Mike on Castillo's day off) that you would like to have that one come to your table. Chit chat with her. Ask her if she wants a drink. If she floats your boat, ask her to go to the room with you. They won't say no.

On my only visit to BSD I was very fortunate to have been approached within 2 minuntes by none other than Alicia. I started at La Mosca. Apparently there are two La Mosca's. I went to the one right in front of The Forum disco dance club place. Walked in around 8:30 pm. It was very lonely about five people. Although I lived in EL Centro for nearly 2 years I never got familiar enough with Mexicali to know the whereabouts of any of the bars. I am heading out next week for 3 or 4 days of R & R.

I was considering heading to Mexicali to try the local scene there instead of my usual Tijuana haunt. How ever I would like to know the names of maybe 5 bars to try out. Maybe a hotel or two that are 4 star types (chica friendly would be nice but upper level hotels frown on that sort of activity). And also the addresses or locations of these bars so I can find my way about.

Incidentally if any of you will be in Mexicali on the 9th through the 12th of April I'd love to hook up with you and see the sights together. Thanks for any help and happy fornicating.

My best advise for the noobie is to do what I did when I wanted to learn about the night life in Mexicali. If you read the reports in the forum you will find directions to more than 5 bars. You will also find info on the hotels in town. The best hotels are the Grand Plaza and the Lucerna, neither of which are chica friendly. The higher end chica friendly hotels are Hotel Calafia, Hotel Colonial, Siesta Inn and the Araiza. I have had my best luck at the Califia and Siesta Inn. You need to register as husband and wife, make up a Spanish name for your wife and tell them that your wife will be meeting you later. Now if you want to stay at the Lucerna or the Grand Plaza, you can always take a chica to Motel El Moro, Motel Samil, Motel Mediteraneo, or Motel Olympio. All of which are owned by the same owner and are set up for the hobby that we all love. They charge around $25 for 4 hours and the rooms are like suites with a garage for your car and the entry to the room inside the garage. El Moro and Mederaneo are very elegant. El Moro and Mederaneo have a Jacuzzi Room for more money and a room with a swimming pool inside for more money. They generally rent for 6 hours. I will be in Mexicali the nights of April 9 and 10 and you can generally find me at Excalibur.

Suggest reading prior reports. I suggest starting at BSD, after u cross clx poe follow aeropurerto sign past Justo Sierra to Rio Culican about 3.6 miles and turn right for .4 miles. Otherwise stay in the zone i..e bear right after crossing clx poe and go two or 3 blocks turn right and check out the bars. El Establo is also good althoug hard for neebie to find.

For those of you traveling to Mexicali one suggestion I have is if at all possible use the P.O.E. at RTE. 7 because the taxistas(cabies)are protesting the high cost of fuel and blocking alot of the intersections in downtown Mexicali. Avoid the drive and walk across, most of the bars are few blocks anyway.

I was in Mexicali yesterday. The word was that the old border crossing was blocked by the taxistas to protest the high gas prices. Pemex (the only game for gas in Mexico) is owned by the Mexican government. The news said that the taxistas of Mexico were going to block every border crossing in Mexico (California, Arizona, Texas) at 11:00 AM yesterday if the government did not make a positive commitment to lower the gas prices. The governmet in fact made the comitment to lower the prices and the blockade did not happen. This was all on the news on the local Mexicali TV station. When the governmetn made the comitment, the blockade at the old border crossing in Mexicali was lifted and everything was back to normal. The taxistas did promise that they would block all border crossings if the government did not make good their comitment to lower the gas prices.

This was a good thing for all Mexican citizens and for all of us that buy gasoline in Mexico. The taxistas are now heros in Mexico!

Attempted sojurn Tuesday around 6 p.m. and street leading to MXL was closed. I asked the CLX PD and he said border closed and to use new border or CLX EAST POE. Understand taxi drivers protesting again and that it started around noon. I elected to stay in USA as new POE closes at 10 p.m. and I was not sure I could return.
If planning a trip verify before going.

Thanks, M.L.Okay, I do not recommend Excalibur for HIGHER CLASS "stripper" type. Higher class stripper girls would be Gua Gua, Muai Muai, La Casona (my favorite), La Mosca. At these bars a drink for a girl is $7, your drink is $3 a private dance is $20 in the back room. A lapdance in front of everyone is $10. At La Casona and Muai Muai you have to buy three private dances at $20 each and then whatever the girl wants for full service usually another $60. So the times I have gone it comes out to a total of $120 plus my drinks I usually don't buy the girl drinks. Some times the strip club offers 2 dances for the price of one so I buy 4 private dances and whatever the girl wants and I save $$$. If you want to take a girl out to a hotel might be a little bit more expensive since you have to pay a bar fine and whatever the girl wants. I have been quoted from $120 to $200.

Went down yesterday, Wednesday, and bought gas at PEMEX station on corner of Mexico st just north of clubs on that street i.e. the cross road going to airport once crossing POE. Price was $2.47 gallon and conversion rate was 10.9, not that bad. Price in valley was $3.459.

Any one been to BSD lately? Haven't been there is 3 weeks or so and would appreciate an update. Gas prices are down at least compared to CA prices and peso if around 11 to 1 so prices are good. The down side is that the lines seem longer all the time. The days of a 10 to 20 minute wait are gone with the increased emphasis on security/immigration/full employment.
Finally, yes girls can be found at 7 a.m., check SG's or drive by hotels in the area. It goes on 24/7 just keep your eyes open.

I went to BSD 10 days ago. It seemed like the same as always. Some of the upper tier girls were gone, but all the regulars were there. I took up Rosa. She had a fantastic body and a little horse faced, but overall good. She is strict on rules and such, no kissing etc, but there was something about her I really liked. Was in BSD a couple days ago. Got there in the afternoon and was dead except for Paloma the bartender, her friend Karla and one other chica I did not get the name of. Started out in the Zona at about 6: 30. Hit Gallo Gira and Tres Aces. I believe most of these bars are now ficha bars and its hard to get someone to go to Kennedy. There were some fine looking chicas outside all the Hotels in this area, but decided not to go. Went to Excalibur at about 9: 00 but there was not much action there. Only one chica worth looking at. She was about a 6. Went across the road from Excalibur to Mas Moras and the service sucked so I left after waiting 5 minutes for a drink. Not much in there anyway. Went to El Establo and there were 5 or 6 hotties in the 6 to 8 range. They were all very young. Had a few to drink then went to La Cabana just up the road from El Establo. Alot of hotties but very expensive for the girls to dance. Has anyone taken any girls out of here? If so whats the going rate?

About 11: 30 went to BSD. There were about 7 girls in there and I was the only ****** there. There was one 9 and the rest were about 6 to 8 range. Called over a chica that was in my age range named Rosa. She was about a 6 on looks. 5' 9" and about 170 pounds and nice 38DD. Not fat but big girl. Very pretty face. She was very friendly and alot of fun. Alot of fun in the rack too. After the first 1/2 hour I decided for another go round. Performance wise she was a 9. Has anyone been to San Felipe. If so are there any good bars there? I am going regardless. I hear that there is good sea food there.

Read any report by Joe Arturo, he is the master of high class chicks and his reports are truthful and accurate. Everyone has different standards and YMMV so RTFF look at older posts as things really don't change in Mexicali. Sounds like you want to spend the big bucks so stick to the high end clubs on Mexico Street or other high end ones.
As for getting there, drive. If paranoid about that and on a cherry busting tour park on U.S. side and take taxi.

Thanks to all the info on the town, guys, really makes a first trip something to look forward to.
After reading up, I've pretty much decided on a visit/pass thru on a Thursday night in the near future. I'd like to get a room to clean up (street girl friendly is cool, I'm not spending the night.) , eating and hitting BSD if I don't find that 30yr old sweeting hanging out, or even if I do.

I did look at mapqwest, but cant find a way to search the names of bars.

I'm not going to drive, way too paranoid. My questions if I may,

if I take a cab to El moro or mederaneo for short (4-6hrs time), is that the 26 dollar range? I believe street action is near? Are either of these convenient walking to either Los Arcos or BSD?

Obviously, I could just get a cab between each but I'd rather not look too much like a dumass if they are very close! I can get lost in my own neighborhood, so its just me that cant make much sense trying to put the posts, streets together.

Thanks in advance for any advise, I'll surely post anything substantive on return.

have the bar call a cab. sometimes they wait outside BSD. One waiter Castillo at BSD speaks english. I would not have the cab wait. Even a long ride to BSD should be $7, I would consider one of the smaller cabs you see.

El Moro is a great motel but is not close to anything. It is on the road that goes to the airport and is pretty far east of everything. It is not really set up for coming and going. They don't give you a key. It is set up for taking a chica for a 4 hour stay. It is $280 pesos for 4 hours (Betweeen $25 and $26 depending on the exchange rate..

The action in Mexicali is spread out all over town. Before I rented a house here, I stayed at hotels that were in the $50 to $60 range, like Hotel Calafia or The Siesta Inn and always registered as a husband and wife and made up a spanish name for my soon to be wife and told the desk clerk that my wife would be joining me later.

I have never stayed in any of the hotels that are in the zone so can't advise you on them. A friend of mine told me that Hotel Kennedy is decent but I have not verified that.You can also rebt a room at Motel Las Dunas which is connected to and used by the girls at BSD. The rooms are not that great but if it is only for cleantin up it would suffice. There is also the motel at El Establo that has nicer rooms than the one at BSD. But these motels are not close close to anything except for these particular bars.

I tis relally hard to do Mexicali correctly without spending the night. If you come to Mexicali on one of the Thursday nights that I am here, I could be a tour guide for you if I don't have a date that night. Thursday night is usually a date night for me. I ususally take one or two working girls to La Taberna on Thursday night because they have a great rock and roll band there and the working girls don't mind taking Thursday night off of work. And on Sunday I usually go to La Taberna by myself because a lot of the working girls take Sunday night off of work and go to La Taberns to dance. This is a way to meet the working girls without buying them a lot of ficha drinks, but you have to know who is a working girl and who is not at La Taberna and it really helps a lot to speak Spanish.

I ratify Joe's remarks. Hotel Kennedy is a dump for a RON. I use it for quickies and $8 is my kind of rate. I would not recommend an over night there as those rooms are on the third floor and the heat is a killer this time of year climbing 3 flights of stairs. Suggest Hotel Colonia ($70+) just after Crown Plaza. If you turn right past the Sanborn's (see old Denny's sign) there is another cheap hotel at $55+ a night. You can walk to Los Arcos from either of those hotels, however, I would take your car.

I also suggest coming down on a Thursday. It is a good night. Further suggest taking Joe up on his tour offer. He knows the area and is a compendium of knowledge about how things work in Mexicali. An hour spent with him will save you time and bucks. If you don't drive RTFF about where to park in Calexico.

Went to MXL around 1p.m. Thursday during the day and many young chicas hanging out at 16September and Hotel pacifica as well as hanging out on streets. They must be desparate for work. Life is great.

I spent last week in Mexicali and as usual spent a lot of time at Bar Excalibur. I noticed that every day last week that there were more and more girls working there. Friday night I counted 24 girls working at Excalibur. All shapes and sizes anywhere from 5s to 10s. To get to Bar Excalibur, take Justo Sierra south. Veer to the left after the first statue. This is Benito Juarez. Keep going south. After the glorieta at Lazero Cardenes, you will pass Giau Giau and Harrahs on the right. Go all around the glorieta at the statue of Sanchez Taboada and go back north on Benito Juarez. This glorieta is where Benito Juarez and Lopez Mateos come xtogether. Bar Excalibur will be on your right next to the Mercado de Pasteles.

The chicas start arriving at 7 pm. The better ones arrive between 8 and 11 pm. Hope to see you there sometime.

I'm defineatly walking across, and taking a taxi about. I don't speak Spanish so having a few destinations in mind should be a good start.

I eventually did make it by on a very hot Friday late afternoon. I had to pick some stuff up ar Kragen's near the border and after asking where to park was invited to park around the side in the lot. It may not be the best plan next time, but no problem on this day.

I walked on the west side of the street, eventually hitting the signs of no admittance in Spanish on the edge of the vehicle entry point. I had missed the pedestrian walkway altogether and entered Mexico w/o even so much as a turnstyle. "It may not be the best plan next time, but no problem on this day."

I was greeted by a taxi driver(AC!), and though I would have liked to tour around a bit on foot, it was 104 and the sun was shining on Mount Baldy. I rode to Los Arcos, nice enough place, but was served some nasty dried out bacon wrapped shrimp. I had not encountered anyone speaking English, (only one on the visit) , so perhaps I had ordered the day old micro-wave variety.
I was polite as always, WTF. I tipped the waiter well, requested a cab, then waited more than twenty minutes for same. The sun was still up, so I'm pretty sure I didnt just miss him.

Shortly after I stepped into the Mexicali sunshine on a beautiful August day, another Gent came out and waited for his cab. He was a local, the only person to speak to me in English. After ten minutes, he explained to me that I must not have called a cab, and that the cab coming was his. I wasnt going to go in and check with the waiter, but I advised him it was indeed my cab. He then said mine had left already, I must have missed it. Polite as always, I looked ahead down the road after doing what our moma's have taught us, - 'if you cant say anything nice....etc", after taking just a bit longer than usual peak at him.

The taxi arrives, no ac , and off we go. I suggest bar San Diego. I bit down the road, he asks me if I'm from El Centro, or, so I think. Later, I though he may have asked if it was my first time in the city. After this young man drives around, nearly hitting EVERTHING IN SIGHT, for fifteen minutes, circling the area of Playboy Club and 16 de sptiembre, I realize he must have asked me if BSD is IN CENTRO. Oops, he's lost and I helped.

He clobbers me with a backhand slap after I ask a bystander where BSD might be!! lol. I laugh and he almost smiles. (by the way, in my former line of work and current hobbies, that could get a guy hurt real bad, real quick)
I finally got out near a hotel with a suitable bad time twirling her hair in the hallway. He's surprised to get ten bucks and a have a nice day. I'm happy to see booze and play in my future at last.

I paid 25 for her (the 30ish thin, long dark haired babe in white I can't pass) and another five ,I believe, for her room. The shower was hardly worth it, the bj and sex was pretty darn good, and off I walked. It was good to not have to insist on removing all clothes or negotiate services, and good to get another offer before getting out of the hallway! Not happening, however, on this day.

I went into Playboy Club, my cup of tea wasn't there, so, I had a beer. I had several more in different dives before being intoxicated enough to try another taxi.

I flag him down and hop in. We roll up the windows and he turns on the AC. Let's get lost for a while, I hope. Even Better, he knows where BSD is.

As we pull in to the lot, jeeesh, a 30ish CURLY dark haired beauty dressed in white. Sha-wing! I ordered a couple of chilto(sp) girl sized beers, and sat around like a dumbass for thirty minutes. She would pop in and out with others, the girls where having a meal, but never sit long or without a group. Now I'm not shy, or stupid, but I do struggle in a strange setting without being able to comunicate outside of taking her hand and heading off to the room. Which I didn't manage to do.

I unfortunately didnt know where the room was, and was further intimidated(uh-huh) by the aloofness of especially her, but nearly all of the girls. I realize this is common, but it is still problematic for me to get up, walk across the very quite room, and hope for more than just goofyness. It didnt help that I could see many dudes sitting alone, and no one dragging anyone by the hair to make whoopie. Then I started to review my day, and thought another steamy room after the drinking would most likely send me napping in the steets.

I came out of the restroom for the third time, looser, and saw a pretty thing sitting off to the side. After I moved my beer and sat down, she was quite willing to suffer thru dialouge with the illiterate old guy. I got the virtual tour and house plan, and the name of the cutie I had seen. She was very accomadating and relaxed, refused a drink and seemed to like to help without obligation. Not the slightest pushy and didnt even ask me if I wanted to get naked. Those traights have to be all good in the room , and she was.

The room was great, clean with the AC on. Shit, what was I waiting for. Lillliana (i think) was very friendly, kisses, willing to switch postions several times, everything carefully covered. I like them a tiny bit thinner and a we bit more 'Whoey' (WTF kind of word is that!), but we fopped and slopped till the knock and then just enough more. Damn good time. 50 plus 20 I believe, I gave her another ten as she waited with me for the cab, which came quickly with AC and knew the way to the border. Cool.

Hey Ed....sounds like you did alright. But I can tell you that every taxi driver in Mexicali knows where BSD is. He probably had a call to pick someone up in El Centro, so took you there.

Next time you are in BSD just tell Castillo (the waiter) who you want to talk to and he will arrange eferything. He speaks perfect English.

The girls in BSD don't mollest you because they don't make any commission(ficha) on you buying them drinks. Like you said, they sit around in groups and talk amongst one another and are generally aloof with the customers because they know that most cusomers go to BSD because the girls don't molest us; The girls are there to fuck and that is the only reason that they are there. Castillo is extremely helpful.

Next time you go, hopefully I will be in town and I can be a guide for you. Because there is much to see in Mexicali. It is my favorite candy store!

The taxi driver was indeed very lost. It took him a looong time to come to (find)the restaurant, and he was very frustrated and I suppose embarrassed by not finding the place. I felt bad for him, really. No harm done.

Castillo may not have been there at BSD. That would have worked fine, next time I'll ask if necessary.
There was a waitress only as I saw, she didn't speak English but did like to touch as she talked and would hesitate a moment to linger and drag a finger on me as she walked away!

Most times I won't hesitate to approach, but sometimes I believe they may not be as willing as I like if they can't even glance a tiny moment my way. Even back when Chicago Club in TJ had the most aloof hotties on the wall, the 'more' interested ones would at least occasionally make eye contact. Still, I'll never forget the time I was 'recovering' but still couldn't quit staring at this cutie in a plaid school girl outfit, white blouse lol. The third time she looked in a half hour, and I didn't get up, she flashed a dagger and left the building in a huff. So, I know better, I just can't seem to do better. When there seems such an excess of choices I seem to just sit.

Ed... There are no waitresses at BSD. The more experienced workers will work the crowd especially new gringos. No harassment like grabbing your privates but the pros may stop by shake hands or sitting down with you. They are not there for drinks or fichas. She was being polite for some business. Girls serve the customers when the waiters are not there.

I am thinking about taking a road trip to Mexicali Labor day and was wondering about any advice.

Have some experience with the night life and hussle in TJ but no experience anywhere South of the border mongering.

I have much experience mongering all over the US but I know Mexico is different.

Wondering if anyone has any advice on things like...

Should I park in US or take my vehicle down.

Should I sleep in US hotel, Mexico Hotel or vehicle.

The exchange rate is the same in all of mexico ? (internet says 1 US = 10.1 Peso atm)

Going rate is 25-60 for street girls and 60-100 for club girls plus tip if they do the trick?

Basically trying to get a feel for how much cash, besides gas, I should plan to bring for Sat day+night and Sun day+night.

Any advice would help here, pms are kewl. I post on other forums as same handle if you want to get a feel for my character.

If I really enjoy this it may become a regular thing.

Plus if anyone comes to Los Angeles I will gladly return the favor.

First off Mexicali is a large city. Almost one million now. Secondly Mexicali is much different than Tijuana. Mexicali has many super places to monger, but unlike Tijuana they are not in one central area. If you read the forum you will find out that they are in all all areas of the city.

I recommend that on your first trip you do not drive if you want to hit Bar San Diego, El Establo, and Excalibur. They are a little difficult to get to if you dont know the city well. The city has and is undergoing a major change to its streets. Many overpasses on the freeways has and is being performed. Therefore get a Taxi. They will gldly take you to any of these places for $5. You need to get a good map to learn the city. I cant remember the insurance place where I got an excellent map a couple of years ago but it was one on the left side of the road in Calexico on the road that leads to the border crossing to Mexicali.

I love mexicali and love the city for more than mongering. If you like Chinese food it has the best. this is because the Chinese were used to build canals in the early 1900"s and they stayed in Mexicali.

Mexicali has a Centro area as does Tijuana but it really does not have the calibur of clubs as Tijuana. Mostly ficha bars and high end titty bars. However there are alot of ficha bars in Centro and if you like to dance it only takes a few cervezas and dances and you can take a lady to the local hotel like Kennedy and have your brains screwed out for $40 to $50. There are a few bars that Mexicali Jack likes in Centro where you can go to which are not ficha bars. All you have to do is ask the ladys to dance and buy them a few cervezas and bingo like before off to Kennedy for a fun time $40 to $50. The bar is Gallo Gira.

I will be in Mexicali tomorrow, 09-14-2006 until Sunday 09-18-2006. I will be staying at the Hotel Reforma that is kitty corner to Mau-Mau's. (It's always been chica friendly for me) Cheap and convienant. It's right across from a great Chinese food place. Not too far from the zona, probably considered the centro district.

Look for the Dane. If you are there, let's get together and compare. I usually go down to the zone and find a girlfriend for the time I am there. It would be nice to meet fellow travelers who enjoy the sights.

I recently parked in Calexico, walked across, and was back in the USA in 4 hours after having lunch & attending a function in Mexicali. My ideal trip would be to walk across, go to BSD or similar, do my business and walk back across in the same time. Can this be done? I speak Spanish and look latino. I just need to figure out were to find a safe taxi once I cross and get to and from where I need to go to have my fun. Anybody game?

Good game plan but watch out. Years ago a friend of mine did the same thing as he was without a car at the time. Again, most who go to MXL drive. He crossed and mentioned Bar San Diego in English and the driver started driving West toward San Diego i.e. to TJ!
I have not checked the exact mileage but here goes. Cross POE and follow "Aeropuerto" sign, in other words bear to the left From CLX POE is is about 2 miles to Justo Sierra and another 1.6 or so to Rio Culiacan. Before Rio Cul you will see a school on the right and at night there is a sign with a guy in a business suit just past the school.
Turn right and go .4 or so miles. Directions on BSD site suck but if you want to try them go for it.
Have the bar or waiter Castillo telephone for a cab. The cab should drop you off right next to the border so follow the SENTRI signs. You have a 100 yard walk to border. As to prices watch cabbies just after you cross as any gringo is ripe meat. Ride should cost $5.

Last weekend I had a blast in Mexicali. Thanks M. Jack, you're previous reports were very helpful.

I drove and stayed in a nice hotel an took a taxi to bar San D. The cabby didn't know where it was and since my spanish stinks I had him radio for directions.When I got there It was like I was in a candy store. I sat down at a table and began looking around, there wasn't an ugly girl there. I saw one that I liked so when the waitress came back with my drink I asked about her. Of course she said she was very nice and then went and brought her and introduced me to her (which I thought was very nice) Her name I think was Paula, she had long sandy brown hair, nice legs, perky breasts , and a beautiful face. I offered he a beer which she fused so I just laid $10 on the table and asked if she wanted to go Back to the rooms. Spanish really helps as she spoke no english. So once in the rooms I did the expected shower and when I came out I just let her do her thing. Nice strip show, nude lap dance,she was on top, then I was behind,etc, it was great. Never rushed real Gfe. I didn't know how much so I offered $50 and she happily accepted. They called a cab for me. I enjoyed it so much I went back the next night!

I can't imagine a better bar. Mybe Mex. Jack can let us know, is ther a better bar in MxCali?

Glad to see BSD did the trick for you. Suggest you stay with what you know for now. Otherwise hit the zona bars and study a little espanol. I got by for years just asking girls to dance and then inviting them for a beer. After a few beers or dances say "vamos" and "bend tee dollars" for starters. Hotels in the zone go for $5 to $8 for quickies. You are not paying for the Marriott. There are many good bars but I suggest frequenting BSD for your first few trips and that is always a fall back position. Try the Corrale a short distance from the Coca Cola plant, otherwise stick to the zone, about 4 blocks from the border. Mexicali only gets better and better. Get your comfort level up and try driving. It is not that bad and navigation is fairly easy in Mexicali. I start with the zone i.e. downtown then BSD. For more RTFF especially older reports. Joe Arturo is also an expert. His reports are excellent.

Headed over to BSD Saturday. Alot of new talent. Few 9-10 and many 5-6. Of course I went with a 9. Her name is April or Abril. Dark skinned girl young beautiful smile. Making my first trip to Mexicali this weekend, and have done my homework and read the thread. I moved to AZ recently from NY, and have mongered quite a bit in NY and Canada. A few questions for anyone experienced with Mexicali.

Should I stay at a nice (non-chica friendly) hotel, or someplace like the Reforma or Kennedy where the chicas are welcome? Not taking the trip for the ambience of the hotel, if you get my drift.

Better to leave my car in US and taxi around town, or get the Mexican insurance and take my car over?

Plan to hit BSD one night and the ficha scene the other night.

Before I rented a house here in Mexicali I used to stay at the Siesta Inn or the Calafia Hotel both of which are on Justo Sierra. I would register as a couple and tell them that my wife was going to arrive later. I would make up a Mexican name and register it as my wife, like Maria, Sara, Ana, Lupita etc.

As far as driving into Mexicali goes, it has always been nice to have my car with me in Mexicali. If you look at one of my older posts in like 2005 or 2004, I gave explicit directions on how to get to the Siesta Inn and Calafia Hotel from the old port of entry. You can always take a cab from the hotel to the various destinations.

I have never parked on the Calexico side. The one time I tried, the pay to park which was pretty far from the poe was full, so I bought the insurance and drove on in.

From the old port of entry, go straight on Madero (follow the signs for Aeropuerto). You will come to many ALTOS and signals and eventually will cross Calle A, Calle B, etc. The first signal past the ALTO at Calle K is Justo Sierra. There is a sign in the air that says Corona Agencia. Turn right on Justo Sierra. You will eventually come to a statue of Benito Juarez. As you pass the statue veer to the left. You will now be on Benito Juarez. Keep going straight on Benito Juarez. You will eventually arrive at the statue of Lazero Cardenas. Round the statue and keep going straight on Benito Juarez. A little bit past Home Depot on the right will be Giau Giau (pronounced Wow Wow) and Harrah's will be on the right in a little plaza a little bit past Giau Giau. The old Excalibur is a little bit further on Benito Juarez on the other side of the street just before the statue of Sanchez Taobada.

Went to San Felipe two years ago and found nothing. I did import so I wasn't looking too hard but did not really see anything other than people riding around on ATVs. Read OTHER AREAS within NW Border Towns and there may be more. I have not heard anything really positive and there are other cities like MXL and TJ with much more action. Please post anything positive and in the interim I would import or pick up something in MXL on the way down.

I have gone to BSD over a number of years and on an infrequent basis. Unfortunately Alicia retired some time ago, about year and one-half or so. I believe, along with many others, that she is missed. Those of you know her incredible talents and she was a rare one.
However, last Saturday I found one better - incredible talent and all for $20 for 40 minutes of slow, delibeate and reverent worship of little jack!

I haven’t been to the strip clubs in awhile so this past weekend me and a couple of friends decided to check out the scene.
The club with the best girls: Fido's, next to the original Mosca but I don't like the atmosphere too much...cold and at some tables your back is exposed to a lot of empty space, I don't like that feeling.
New club on the scene: Moscas's #3, the old Aquarius...very nice looking hot talent but the lighting can be dark and some seating has blocked views. The tables along the northwest wall are good for viewing the entire club. I recommend you take Honey for a privado, she will bbbj for a few minutes without additional tipping so imagine what she will do for a propina. Some Colombian girls there...gorgeous 9-10s!
Gaous Gaous (spell check) pronounced Wow Wows, a traditional strip club with a few good looking chicas who want you to buy them drinks and to get you in the back for a privado, table dance is only $8 and just as much fun if you have a couple friends with you.
Las Juntas: back to the old name of a couple years ago, it has been Madonas and Kind of the same old tired scene, it’s also ran but it’s in the Devil's Triangle so a place to visit. I wasn’t impressed with the talent.
KAOS: this place is just plain nasty with the guys groping the girls like animals, one guy sitting next to us started vomiting and we got up and left...a few cuties but the management needs to rein in the low lifes frequenting the place.
Meau Meaus: Still my personal fav..there is a girl there who likes me and will do the big nasty with me for the price of 3 privados ($60). I have always liked the atmosphere in this place, I always feel safe, the waiters know me, the selection is usually good, and in the booths your back is always against the wall. Always a nice selection of 8-9s and the occasional 10 on the Mexico circuit plus a few regulars who have been there for years. You can take the girls out but that is pricey, look at about $200-225 for everything including bar exit fee, hotel across the street, a couple of drinks, misc tips and the girls fee which you negotiate, the hotter she is the higher the price but usually around 100-150 for an hour.
BSD: We stopped by there just to check it out and the place was dismal, stinky, lopsided tables and sad tired looking women....it was never an upscale place but it seems to be in a state of decline. I also lament the retirement of Alicia (I heard she got married) and the absence of Carolina. It may have been an off-night but it didn't look good through sober eyes.

In the stairways and entrances of the sleazy hotels in the zona you will find 3-7 SW each. There are about 5 hotels that have their harem. Most of the girls are undoable, but with persistence you will always find the diamond in the rough. Went to Mexicali yesterday, got there early in the morning because I had to take care of things and visit with Family, Well i was done earlier than expected and I wanted to go to the meow, but it was a little early around 4ish, Since I had time to kill, I decided to cross the border into Calexico with my car and park it and walk back across so I would not have to wait in a long car line later. It was dark out and if you are not familiar with the area I would not recomend this, Take a taxi, its safer. I am fluent in spanish and feel comfortable with the locals, since I have family there I pretty much know whats going on. Well I arrived at the meow at around 6:30 it was not to packed but the girls there were pretty much 7-high 9s. There was a very good assortment. First, thanks go to all posters who gave outstanding reasons to go down South. I am constantly amazed about the sheer number of women available early Saturday night looking for a little action be it simple companionship, the pros, or even semi-pros or first timers out on the streets.
It is so easy, just ask and see if they want a "cerveza" if you don't speak any Spanish.

Women were of all types, the relatively young 22-26 seems to be the average. What I characterize as a "normal" situation. Women has one or more children and is quite attractive. While ugly women can procreate the hotties often have the kids, excess baggage so they need to work as the father supplies nothing but grief.

These people are poor and the cost of living is about the same except for housing costs. Gasoline, transportation expense and food are about the same as in U.S. Unemployment is high. After age 40 there are limited opportunities to work in Mexicali. The point is these women need the money.

My preference is ages 28 (twenty eight is GREAT) to 40 something. The 40 somethings know they have to work and I have been the lucky and grateful receiptent of many BBBJs.

I say everything there just waiting. The guys were simply drinking to excess. I did my 2 or 3 beer routine to get my BA up to an appropriate level and to move my attitude up to par then went on the prowl. Started at Gallo Giro and then went to 3 Aces, a simple trip to the zone. Suffice it to say that $20 still goes a long way in Mexicali and the rooms are $5-$8 for a short-time quickie, my kind of place.

Line going back was horrible and the wait was over 1 hour. It was nice to see Mexicali officers patrolling the line to keep people from cutting in. So unless you have a motorcycle or SENTRI pass park in Calexico and either walk for take a taxi to the zone or other destinations. First timers should hit BSD as that place is a win-win situation. Suggest arriving anytime after 5 p.m. on Saturday. I prefer to sit in a bar and wait for the troops to arrive. When I see something righteous I make the move i.e. dance or invite for a cerveza. It is that simple. First timers should RTFF, I cannot list everything in one report.

Mexicali is not TJ and there is no comparable place like Adelita's (over 100 doable women all hot in one place - nothing else like it except for maybe Brazil or Bangkok) but Mexicali is safe and you can drive and there is no "hussle" type atmosphere - all gringos are not targets for some scam.

Well finally made it back to Mexicali. Did not drive because my car is in shop and won't drive my new truck into Mexico. Anyhow went to Centro first and saw the beautiful lady that Jack talked about. I wanted to go to Mexicali on the 22nd and 23rd but due to work and having a bad cold I had to wait until the 23rd.

I stopped at La Cabana and some hotties were there but I had one drink and left for Excalibur. I had told a chica muy bonita named Yolanda I would be back on the 22nd. What happened is that I was living with Lupita. I have known her for 3 years and lived with her on and off during that time. We were really good friends. We were friends for 6 months before we even had sex and although she was a puta, I never had to pay her. But I did end up paying her with my soul.

I received no reply, so I went to the Ministero Publico (district attorney) to report that she had been kidnapped.

It turned out that she had not been kidnapped. She was trying to rip me off for the $30,000. When the agents found her, she was fucking a drug dealer. They are both going to prison for 7 to 15 years.

I am now paying for a psychologist for her kids who are now living with their grandmother. She has a 14 year old daughter and a 12 year old son that are both great human beings but are suffering a lot for what their mother did.

I came across this website and decieded to register. I am a long time visitor to Calexico / Mexicali and a loyal visitor to the El Establo Bar. It is a place I have always very welcome and safe, despite the taxistas recommending BSD and Excalibur.

In my many visits there I have had the absolute pleasure of visiting with real gems like Melissa, Suri, Tere, Kenya.

My standard routine is to park my car a few blocks from the POE and walk across. I do a small exchange of dollars for pesos and then flag down a taxi.

I flag down a taxi at a nearby taxi stand and have him drive me to El Establo I make small talk with the driver to inquire about anything or something he thinks I may be interested in. Not all drivers are interested in small talk.

The taxi ride will cost me anywhere from five to seven US dollars depending on how busy the drivers evening is. On arrival I greet the doormen and make my way to a table. I try and make friends with the waiter and tip him well as I use him as a very good source of information on any new talent in the house, or someone I have not encountered before.

I generally limit myself to just a couple of cold ones because of the LE on US side after my visit I flag down another taxi and head "a el norte".

Crossed the POE Sunday around 5 p.m. parked close to Gallo Giro. Place was packed and met with my novia and had a few beers. I enjoy watching the coming and going. Wherever there is an emotional connection, kidnappers have the leverage to extract cash. Brides get kidnapped because they know the gringo husband or boyfriend will pay. Gringos get napped because their companies or families here in the states will pay. So, it works either way. Not to get paranoid; but, there is always risk there.

In regards to Asuncion vs. Buenos Aires, I’m glad you asked because these cities are like night and day. But you will have a wonderful time in either. They are truely South American; as opposed to Mexico; you know you are on another continent. I have been visiting both on and off for the last 25 years. Which one you chose depends on what your tastes are; for example here are some contrasts:

WOMEN: In BA the women are very European, yes; you can still find a traditional dark haired, dark eyed, dark skinned Latina. But, you will also find tons of taller, whiter, brunettes and blonds. Many are very well educated and cosmopolitan. The native Paraguayans are decedents of the Guarani Indians, who were know by the Spanish Conquistadores as the “whites” Latin America. The typical woman in Asuncion is light skinned, dark eyed, haired, short, and fairly petite. Although, again there are many typical looking “Latinas” there, too. Paraguayan women are poorer educated, less sophisticated and more provincial than those of BA. So, if you have a strong preference for a certain type of woman that may be you’re deciding factor.

COSTS: As you probably know, Argentina went through an economic melt down about 4 years ago. However, the economy is now booming and the hotel and tourist bargains are now gone. Nevertheless, the melt down plunged millions middle class people into poverty, which they will likely never escape from. The good news for you is that there are now, more than ever, plenty of attractive, young women now dedicated to the oldest profession in the world. However, Asuncion is much cheaper to travel or live in than BA; at least a third cheaper for housing, food, hotels, etc. Also, the senoritas are much, much cheaper in Asuncion than BA.

CITYSCAPE: BA is a “gran” city in the European sense; big boulevards with lots of impressive monuments and buildings, with a thriving arts and cultural scene, very sophisticated, rich people still live downtown in expensive flats. You really feel like you are in Paris, London or Madrid. Asuncion is really a backwater Latin American provincial town; you wake up in the morning and forget whether you are in Managua, Nicaragua, Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia or Asuncion. The downtown sucks, all real life has moved out to the suburbs. There is no arts or cultural scene to speak of, and the people are very unsophisticated (some would call them hicks.)

SEX: BA P4P women, many of which have some Italian blood in them, make great lovers and often give a GF experience. The encounters seem to be more like two equals coming together for a good time. BA has a lot of kinky sex, if that is what one wants. The Paraguayan P4P scene is also excellent, but the women are more submissive, needy and less often GFE. I have gotten excellent sexual service, with a wide menu of options, in both places.

SUMMARY: When I’m traveling, usually on business, and need to fix of “culture” and “sophistication” I go to BA for that and the P4P scene. When I just want to screw, I go to Asuncion. Both cities are reasonably safe, if you take precautions. They are not like Central America or Mexico City, where personal security is a constant concern.

In a few years, I will be retiring to South America and would seriously consider moving to Asuncion. I like being a big fish in a small pond. I've been coming to Mexicali for many years now. Tonite, I decided to vary my routine and headed downtown. It was about 9:00pm on a Wednesday night. My first stop was the Gallo Giro. It proved to be a major sausage fest with about 20 Mexicans and a couple of fuglies. Next I hit the Playboy Club. Going to Mexicali for the first time in 2 weeks. Everyone in the forum agrees that Hotel Calafia and Siesta Inn are comfortable places and chica friendly; if you register for two. However, I'd like to be right in La Zona if possible.

Lonely Planet mentioned Hotel Mexico, Ave. Lerdo de Tejada 476 for $25, which must be right in La Zona. Also, they mention Hotel del Norte, just south of the border for $43 a few blocks from La Zona.

I'm sure these are not real nice, nor quiet, but does anyone have any experience with Hotel Mexico or Hotel del Norte; and know if they are chica friendly?

Also, in this forum someone mentioned the Chinesca Hotel, right in La Zona, for $28. I might give that a try.

The more I read the forum reports, the more excited I get to visit Mexicali. Anyway, both Mexicali Jack and Joe Arturo have mentioned La Capilla bar and the bar at the Hotel Lucerne as being good places for 30 - 40 year old semi-pro action. Is that still the case or are there other places now for this?

At 50 years old, I love these kinds of women because they tend to be elegant, great conversationalists, and know how to treat a man in bed.

I'm assuming if I hit those place, which are outside La Zona, it would be best to get a room at Hotel Calafia or Hotel Colonial. Those women would probably appreciate that rather than being taken down to La Zona, which is an obvious puteria. And those hotels would be closer to these bars, right?

Son fuertes, feos, y a veces mal gusto…si, tiene interés en estos temas te recomendarías leerlos. “Diablo Guardián” por Xavier Velasco (XV) es bastante bien. También, “Luna Llena en las Rocas” por XV trata de la vida de un putero en el D.F. (Trabajo mucho en D.F., donde estoy hoy día.)

Hello All,

I'll be staying at the Araiza Inn in the next couple of weeks. I have been to Mexicali once and unofrunately was in business meetings all day/night. Upon returning to my hotel the only number I could locate for action was a massage service (seemed legitimate) which ended service at 10:00 PM. I called at 11:00 with no luck.

Is there an outcall service that sends girls for massage or FS to hotel? I most likely won't have time for the night clubs and will have to rely on calling in an order. I will keep my eyes out for the local newspapers as well this trip. They usually have some nice window ads for services.

Lastly, has anyone stayed at the Araiza recently? I don't expect a problem as I hope to plan accordingly.

Araiza Inn is not that far from Bar San Diego or Rio Culiacan. Taxi driver should be able to take you there for $3 to $5. From hotel should go north on justo sierra then right on cuhmotec (spellling). BSD stays open so anytime up to midnight would be OK. If you RTFF plenty of directions to BSD.
BTW, when you check in tell your wife is joining you later. Othwerwise may have a problem getting in.

Several years ago, I tried these ads from my hotel room here in Mexicali, but I never had a decent experience. At times, my hand would have been better. When are you going to be in Mexicali? La Voz for Mexicali is like the New York Times, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times. It is the main newspaper for Mexicali. You can buy it at any Oxxo (which is like a 7/11 and there is one on practically every corner). If you are in Mexicali when I am there, I can hook you up with some good providers. But like Mexicali Jack says, Bar San Diego is a great alternative.

Does anyone have any suggestions for someone who wants to go to Mexicali but does not speak any Spanish? From what I have read on the forum and from other sources it appears that Mexicali is not a very tourist friendly place and getting around while speaking English can be some trouble. Are there any tour services that cater to our hobby that I could use that someone knows of? All suggestions would be apprecieated.You have three ways to go. FIRST, go to Bar San Diego. For directions after crossing CLX POE bear left at AEROPUERTO sign and follow that for 3. 6 miles and turn right on Rio CULICAN. Proceed. 4 mile and you will see the bar of LEFT. Decent taco stand just before BSD. Once inside order a beer. Either approach a waiter (Castillo is bilingual) or waive the girl over. Cost is $50 + $20.

SECOND opition is to hit the zone. This takes some balls if you only speak English but it works. After crossing bear right and go about 4 blocks. If you go to MEXICO street you've gone too far. Zone is 1 block South. Any bar is OK but Playboy, 3 Aces, Gallo Giro any bar. YMMV is it is best to find a table and drink slowly until something comes in the bar. Most working women are single mothers and need the $20 for support. They move around from bar to bar so patience is a virtue. Many 3-4's (out of ten) I. E. Too many tacos but if you wait a 7 or 8 will show. Game plan. Once you see something hot approach her and say "cerveza" and invite either to dance or to your table. If you dance in a ficha bar custom is to pay $1 or 10 pesos. After a ficha or two ask to hotel or simply "vamos". Albeit crude it works. Don't pay more than $20, $30 tops. For phrases CHECK THE SECTION ON PHRASES and write them down on a card. I like "poor la bow ka ben-tay dollars" (asking for a BJ for twenty dollars). You will either get a shake of the head in the affirmative or "si" which is yes or a "no" which is no in any language.

THIRD option. In the zone drive until you find either Hotel Pacifico or Hotel 16de Septembre or any hotel with girls outside. Pussy is everywhere. Cost is $20 plus room. Room go from $4 to $8 and believe me you are not staying at the Marriott. Only problem is that these girls are fresh from the farm and the Mamma San tells them to charge for everything else so no top or no clothes (sin ropa) is $5-10 extra. They seldom do BJ's. Further, most do not even get undressed and start by simply lifting their skirt (no panties) and expect you to do everything I. E. Get hard on you own. Frankly, I expect a little more even at that price. See options 2 or 1 above.

I would stay away from newspapers. If you try that go on line to the classified section then servicios.

Mexicali is tourist friendly and safe. Many do not speak English. A little espanol does help but it is not necessary unless for certain bars like Taberna.

Do most of the Taxi drivers speak English? If one enters Mexicali from the main POE in the city of Calexico (not the Calexico East one) are there usual taxi cab drivers waiting at the border to take you places? Some of the older reports I read said that they do not but these reports were quite old so I am hoping this has changed.

I can see from other reports that one should ask Castillo at BSD to call a cab for you to get home. Is this still accurate or can you actually hail a cab now. Since I speak no Spanish I have to plan ahead. In fact if someone here could e-mail some directions in Spanish that I could print and hand to a cab driver on how to get to BSD I would appreciate it. I would be happy to help you with questions about the Phoenix, Arizona scene if you ever happen to be in that area.

If a moderator reads this post I would also like to say it would be nice if you would change the name to Phoenix Man, not Phoenx Man. Phoenix as in the city in Arizona.Phoenix Man,

You have 2 options finding a cab from the West POE. One is to cross the main boulevard immediately after crossing. There are usually a line of cabs immediately to the right from where the cars come in. Option 2 is to stay on the same side of the street after entering Mexicali and walk down a couple blocks (2-3 at most) and you will find taxis. You may even get lucky and find one dropping someone off at the turnaround. If you're headed to the zona it's actually close enough to walk in from the POE.

If you're just going to BSD, any taxi driver will know how to get there and lack of Spanish sould not be an obstacle. (You can always say Bar San Diego en Rio Culiacan (Kwee-yah-conn) por favor...cinco dollars?) I've paid anywhere from $5-$7 but its been awhile since I've cabbed it.

Yes Castillo will call a cab for you..in some cases the chica will do it for you as well when you're ready to go, just ask! I've had this happen with Paola (daytime bartender) and Monserrat. Mexicali is known for being home to agriculture, high tech manufacturing, cross border trade, and has very good regional universities. They have made a decision to “pull ahead of the pack”, become competitive internationally and it shows. Crime is low, the streets are clean, and prosperity is obvious. They say “no one dies of hunger in Mexicali, though you can die from the heat!”

The one thing I was not expecting was a high quality, though small, arts scene, which the local and state governments are backing. In a three-day weekend, I was able to: 1) see an exhibition of Rodin sculptures at the Centro Estatal de las Artes, 2) attend a poetry reading at La Casa de la Cultura, 3) visited the Museo de la Universidad and 4) could have attended the world famous musical production of Carmina Burana at the Teatro del Estado.. Later in March there was to be one of the best rock concert festivals in all of Mexico. They also have a theatre for kids. Not bad for a border, backwater town! Look for the Calendar of Events in your hotel room, for more details on cultural activities.

I travel for business in Latin America. So, I’m basically spoiled. I don’t have to put up with the problems that are typical of Mexican border towns, i.e. crime, drugs, indigence, hustlers, and a calloused attitude that looks only to take advantage of Americans.

he seated me in a booth near the dance floor, brought me a coke for $2 usd and we started small talk. i told him i was in no hurry whatsoever and had all night to find “miss right.” but, within a few minutes, he said “i got the girl for you” and pointed to karla, who was “fichando” (drinking for dollars) with an old mexican. he told me “don’t worry, that guy only buys drinks, he doesn’t do carry out.”

pedro waved to her; she nodded, and in a few minutes politely excused herself and came over. she must be around 5’ 8”, very thin, “a” cups, dark, brown skin, dark eyes, and very long black curly hair – almost a caribbean, topical girl look to her. she was dressed in tight blue jeans and a flimsy, revealing top. she must have been a knockout when she was 18, because even now, at what i guessed was early to mid 30’s she was very, very doable. (i never ask a lady her age; they don’t like that. would you, if your livelihood depending on being young and beautiful?)

pedro explained to her what i was looking for. then, she just turned to me, hugged me, and kissed me on the cheek. (she had already begun to drop her guard; the panties would come off later!) i had pedro bring her a drink; it was $5 usd and she was given her $1 or $1.25 as a “ficha”. over the booming music we talked about everything for more than an hour. i gave pedro a couple of dollar tips at various intervals, but he was not pushing the drinks hard. karla was originally from ciudad obregon, was a mom, and had a 9-year old and an 11-year old. karla was sweet and we were clicking.

finally, i asked her to accompany me to my hotel for a couple of hours, to which she replied “i’d love to!” she got up, went over and signed out. i paid pedro the $10 usd “salida” (bar fine.) karla was back in a flash with her beaming, toothpaste commercial quality smile.

as we stepped outside, i said “let me have the bouncer call us a taxi.” she said, “no need too, we’ll take my car.” we sauntered across the street to her small, old, blue hyundai. a street person offered to wash the dust off her car. she agreed; so, we got in the car, popped in a mana disk in her cd player and began to make out to the music. every once in a while the washman would tap on the window and say “you kids behave in there!” we all laughed and she just kissed me all the more passionately.

when he was done, the washman snapped his rag across the shiny; or, at least less dusty, hood. karla, tipped him a few pesos, started up the beast, and off we roared into the brisk, mexicali night. we rolled down the windows (they actually worked!) and sang along with the music. i was on the road to heaven and there was no st. peter at the gates to detain me from entering.

i had her stop at a oxxoco convenience store and made a big deal about taking her dinner order. she was laughing and trash talking me, saying all she really wanted was a sausage and two eggs! adjusting, the alignment of my sausage in my jeans, so that i could walk, i got out of the car and went in. she stayed in the car singing. in a few minutes, i emerged with snacks and drinks. she was delighted as we roared off again, only to brake hard in three blocks as we screeched into the parking lot of the siesta inn; our “nido de amor” (love nest.)

The Mexicali hotel market is different than most Mexican towns. It has few, if any, mid-range hotels in the $30 - $60/night range. You either get a dive for under $30 or, a business class hotel for $60 and up; there is nothing in between. The hotels in La Zona (Mexico, Chinesca, Reforma, etc.) looked pretty sad and very noisy. As Mexicali Jack says “stay away from them.”

The trick is to find a decent hotel that you can drive right up to your room, park, and go in; without having to go through a front desk/reception area/hall of shame walk with your “chica.”; that is if they will even allow you in with her.

On advice from this forum (Thanks, Joe Arturo) I stayed all three nights at the Siesta Real at Justo Sierra #899. It is a friendly place oriented toward Mexican families and business travelers. Take one of the nicer rooms in the back (Room #’s in the 300s), they are newer, nicer and quieter. I paid about $60/night for a king sized bed in a newer room. While it was a respectable and safe place, bringing in “chicas” was never a problem.

As an aside, one thing nice about this hotel is that it has a combo tub/shower. Most Mexican homes only have showers; so, if you bring a chica back to your room she will love soaking in the tub. Bring some bubble bath if you’re a romantic type…rub a dub dub in the tub!

Make a reservation; they fill up fast on the weekends. From the US, call 1-800-426-5093 or www.hotelsiestarreal.com on the net. Also, there is a good Chinese restaurant (which offers food acceptable to American tastes) right across the street and three doors down.

I also looked at the Colonial Hotel, Blvd Lopez Mateos & Calle Calafia. The price was around $65 - $70 and included breakfast. It has the same set up, where you can drive right to your room. It is slightly closer to La Zona and cultural venues. This hotel has a decent pool and grassy area in the courtyard. I plan to try this hotel sometime, as it looked promising.

in mid-march i had a business commitment pop up all of a sudden, which required my presence in mexicali. i flew in from mexico city on a thursday afternoon, got a taxi from the airport to my client’s business, and had a short business meeting followed by dinner. so, then by nine o’clock i was free for the three day weekend. i checked into the siesta real and started “chica” searching, which was not hard (see karla story below.)

the next morning, i shipped a package out from the dhl office just around the corner and taxied down to the university a few miles south of the hotel. low-and-behold in the bookstore across the street, i bumped into a 22-year old, recently graduated, accounting student. though, i’m not an accountant, i mentioned we should compare accounting practices (that always turns girls on!) soon thereafter, we were at a restaurant (sanborns?) down the street talking and eating pastries; not bad for 10:30 am on a sunny, friday morning. actually, nothing came of this; she was much more reserved than i had hoped. but it was a nice warm up exercise and i got some good spanish novels to read for the weekend.

Munch Lunch wrote a series of excellent reporting for MXL and area. He hit it right-MXL is not TJ and it is safe with women a plenty for reasonable prices. You can walk the streets half drunk without a fear of getting rolled and the prices are excellent like $20-40 for a quickie and a little more for overnights.
To each his own but I think his little head effected his big head as to prices. In any event, it is his money for his use. Went to bsd Wednesday, great experience, forgot the girls name but she was what I was looking for, good head action, the fucking was good, but when I told her to stop couse I couldn't have hanged, she didn't and a came too quick for my satisfaction, but all in all it was a great experience, kinda costly and hated being ripped of by the taxis, 10 dollars to bsd, and 10 back.

Mexicali Jack, I am not usually criticized for prices. I’m considered to be a pretty thrifty monger. So, without getting defensive, here are my prices paid. And, in keeping with the helpful tone of the Mexicali forum, please offer your specific thoughts on each one. (I paid everything in pesos; so, any of the following references to USD are based on roughly a 11:1 exchange rate. Also, I guess comparing the chicas on a price/minute basis isn’t quite fair; but, it is interesting. Sometimes, what seems cheap is actually expensive.)

YOLANDA – The Hotel Girl: $220 pesos (USD $20); 20-25 minutes + about $7 USD for the room. (Roughly: $1 greenback/minute to the girl.)

PAMELA – El Establo: $50 USD for the girl, 40-45 minutes + about $15 USD for the room. (Roughly: $1.20/minute to the girl.)

The pricing for the two above were based on all the reports right from this board; so, I’m sure they are very close to correct. However, the following are probably worth discussing:

KARLA – El Gato Negro: $60 to her + $10 bar fine to take her out = $70, and 4.5 hours. (Roughly: USD $0.26 (twenty six cents/minute).) I am not including the few drinks we bought in the bar or Pedro’s tip. These were not really necessary to take the girl out. I was just enjoying my time in the bar; as, they were not pushing the drinks. There was no cover charge and this foreplay with Karla was hot. She was my chauffeur, so I saved on taxi.

GLORIA – Street Girl: $40 for 2 hours inside my hotel room. (Roughly: $0.33 (thirty three cents/minute). Also, I gave her an extra $10 because she let me sodomize her. The $5 taxi was just a gift. I didn't include the cost of the Chinese food I bought her; because it wasn't necessary to the transaction; I just enjoyed the time with her.)

KARLA – Round Two: $40 for a little over 2 hours in my hotel.

Questions: We each have our own styles and, as you note, it is our own money to spend as we want. So, we can agree to disagree if we need to. But, is $40 for two hours in one’s own hotel room really overpaying in your town? If it is; how low can you go for a good looker who is hot?

As for the first night with Karla; $70 may sound high but, I did get 4.5 hours of non-stop sex, taxi service, and deep throat with a cutie GFE. Do you guys really get that for less in Mexicali?

As you can read from my posts, I love Mexicali. Mexicali Jack, if you can convince me I overpaid in any of these situations, I will be even happier with Mexicali! (Where is the blue light; I must be in Wal-Mart!)

I am thrifty and pay a little less. Hotel girl street prices are a low of $15 and average $20 paid in U.S. dollars, not pesos. I pocket the $2 idfference in exchange rate. Actually it is a quart of beer! My average is $15 that's it.
Other girls at hotel or anywhere are $20 to $30 never $40 unless a knock out and most have had too many tacos if you know what I mean. The street price is $20, no mas. I get a 40-minute BBBJ for $20 (not $220 pesos) twice a week. She cleans my tubes and it is refreshing.

Call me cheap - I do not want to have happen to MXL what has happened to TJ with the inflated prices. It does sound like you spent a lot of time so your prices are justified considering the time expended.

Have funIf you are walking along Mateos and away from the border (the street with the railroad tracks down its center) then, keeping the tracks to your left, keep going until you come to a 3 Hermanos shoe store on the corner. (Trademark is a red "3" with a red three-pointed crown over the "3"). At 3 Hermanos go right or away from the tracks. (Ignore other 3 Hermanos tiendas you might see. Just look for the one on the corner of Mateos.)

As you walk the short block south you will encounter Juarez as the first intersecting street. Cross it. (Lung Kong, a fairly good Chinese Restaurant is now to your right as you continue walking.)

You will soon encounter a white Banamex building at the corner of the next intersection (blue signage). Take a left. Near the end of this first block is the Playboy Club. The sidewalk tiles in front are randomly shaped (broken) and multicolored. If you keep going straight, pass Playboy, and continue to the next block, you will find El Gato Negro. It is on the same (northern) side of the street as Playboy. Black and white sidewalk tiles in front.

Directions by landmarks are usually better than street names, in my opinion. Mexicali street signage is "incomplete" -- and walking around looking at street signs signals that one is unfamiliar with the zona.

If anyone here gives other directions, use theirs. I am new to Mexicali, but I am adjusting to it.

Hope this helps. Goto Mapquest site and in left-hand portion is international. Click Mexico then Mexicali. Adjust the SCALE and move the map and you will see very good street signs. Just follow from CLX POE and you can't miss. Gato Negro/Playboy/Galla Gira is on Tejado (sp) just south of the main street bearing left after crossing POE. Titty bars on Mexico Street/Reforma. While we are on the topic of directions; where are BSD and El Establo? What are the cross streets, or address or directions to these brothels? I'll be driving this time and not in a taxi. (Is is safe to park at these places?)

I'll probably be staying at the Siesta Real Hotel on Justo Sierra. Likely entering in Mexicali from the east border crossing. Can anyone explain how to get to BSD and El Establo from the east part of town and not the downtown border crossing?

Directions to Bar San Diego

These directions are a little longer than I would go, but easier to explain and easier to use for first timers.

After crossing the East Crossing, turn right on the main street that you come to. I don't remember what its name is but is "Colon" on the West side of Justo Sierra. Eventually, this will turn into a one way street heading toward the West Border Crossing. You will eventually come to an intersection where you will have to stop. This is Justo Sierra. Turn left on Justo Sierra and go to the intersection where there are Pemex stations on both sides of the street. This is Las Americas. Turn left on Las Americas. Go several blocks until you get to Tacos Tonios on the right hand side. This is the corner of Rio Culiacan. Turn right on Rio Culiacan and Bar San Diego will be about one half block on the left. The sign also says Motel Las Dunas. Park inside the motel parking lot and it is 100% safe. Enter Bar San Diego through the back door.

Directions to El Establo

After crossing the East Crossing, turn right at the major road that you come to. You will come to an intersection where a major street is entering from the left. This is Gomez Morin. (The street you were on turns into a one way street at Gomez Morin). Turn left on Gomez Morin. Gomez Moren is known as Periferico to the locals as it is a street that circles the outer areas of Mexicali. You will come to some construction where they are taking Gomez Morin under another main street that goes to the airport. You need to go around this construction and keeping going South on Gomez Morin. I can't tell you how because it changes every day.

You will eventually come to a Ley store on the right. This is Independencia. Keep going straight on Gomez Morin. Eventually you will come to a bridge that goes over Gomez Morin. I think it is green, but it could be a blue bridge. Get in the left lane before you get to the bridge and turn left just after the bridge. You will be going East on Lazaro Cardenas. Go to the Coca Cola plant on the left side of the street (This is at the intersection of Caranza and there is a Mega store on the right side of the street) and hang a U Turn. El establo will be about one half block on the right. Once again park in the parking area of the Motel part of El Establo and there are guards there to protect your car. Give them a tip for this service.

Just to add to Joe's helpful directions, the Coca Cola plant has a Spanish Colonial facade colored mustard-brown.

You make a U-turn there as Cardenas has a center strip preventing an earlier turn into El Establo.

El Establo is a yellow set of structures, one of them resembling an "A" frame. Look for the complex shortly after you continue west from your U turn and pass the Coca Cola plant/offices.

Color coded directions. Even I can find my way now.

At times I seem to repeat myself and if that is the case I apoligize in advance. Went crusiing Saturday night and the same faces were all over the zone. What was nice were the new ones. Young "working" mothers looking for some action and a little respect. They were all over. Fine looking women of all types - whatever your preference be it face, legs, ass, tits...it was all there.
I certainly hope the recent increase in gasoline prices has little effect on visits to Mexicali. As always the locals were getting shit faced and not spending time with the women. The women were everywhere and all types. You can find a good 6 or 7 for $20 without much effort. The dollar is not doing good against the peso and the rate was 10.70 which sucks but still at any rate any gringo be he middle or old aged can literally live like a king for a weekend in Mexicali.
Ask the waiter for a seat and tip him 5 to 10 pesos. Order a quart of beer or get your buzz and simply wait. The women were roaming all the bars and the view was terrific. All it takes is a little $$, no Spanish is needed although it does help, make eye contact and the rest is history to be made.

Hit the zone first, drank my quart of Pacifico and headed east. Joe's directions were quite good. From the CLX POE follow the "aeropuerto" sign for about 2 miles to Justo Sierra, turn right and proceed .3/.4 miles to AVe Americas and turn left, then 1.1 to Rio Culiacan (turn at Tacos Tonos) then BSD (Motel Las Dunas) in on the left. Turn left and park inside the hotel.
Once inside it was nice to see some nice, thin women. In the zone more normal looking *****s but at BSD the hotties are out. Saw two that are doable, one with a nice set of D cups and long beautiful hair.
What was surprising was that at 7 p.m. which to many is starting time I only counted 9 there. No guys in the bar. I guess the economy is getting tight OR I was too early.
BTW, ate at tacos tonios and they have some of the best if not the largest in MXL. Each was 12 pesos but large size with all condiments. Life is good.

I went to La Capilla (The nightclub that is at Hotel Lucerna) Friday night and it was like a candy store. I was sitting at the corner of the bar. The side of the bar to my left had 3 single women. The side of the bar across from me had 5 single women. The side of the bar to my right had 3 single women. The 5 tables behind me had 14 single women. And two tables to my left had a couple at one table and 3 single women at the other table. Of course the tables around the dance floor were all couples. And there were only about 5 single men in the place. I had a date, so reluctantly left with plans to return on some other Friday night.

I have been to Mexicalli twice and found a zona roja which is near the main poe. (3Aces Bar, Gateo Negro, Hotel Kennedy)

Does Mexicalli have another zona which is better than this? I found some great looking door women but they were like sacks of flour in bed.

I went to La Capilla (The nightclub that is at Hotel Lucerna) Friday night and it was like a candy store. I was sitting at the corner of the bar. The side of the bar to my left had 3 single women. The side of the bar across from me had 5 single women. The side of the bar to my right had 3 single women. The 5 tables behind me had 14 single women. And two tables to my left had a couple at one table and 3 single women at the other table. Of course the tables around the dance floor were all couples. And there were only about 5 single men in the place.

Joe, I was there last night (Friday, 5/18) for 45 minutes between 9 and 10 p.m. There was one couple and a male patron at the bar in addition to my lonesome self. Service staff were attentive but not overbearing; "The Chapel" is a different and up-market change of venue from other bars.

There were fireworks over Calafia Stadium last night, so perhaps all the ladies were at the Stadium instead. Or does La Capilla fill up later than 10?

Went to Algodones Friday to get teeth fixed then onto Mexicali. Got a room at hotel Casa Blanca only 500 yards from bar El Establo. Newer section added about 4 months ago. Double room very clean with refigerator and cool new AC. Payed $49. Went to bar El Establo about 6:30. There were about 8 chicas all in the 5 to 8 range. Had a couple beers then to Las Casonas. Only 5 chicas. 3 were 5's one was a 6. The other was an 8 and stuck up. That pissed me off so onto Excalibur. I've searched through the reports on hotels in Mexicali (in recent years) and see that some hotels are better than others for bringing chicas to the room. Does anyone know if the Crown Plaza is chica friendly? I haven't seen any recent reports on this hotel.

I know where Crowne Plaza hotel is but have never stayed there. I do know it is one of the nicer hotels in Mexicali and the high end hotels tend to not be chica friendly. One of the nicer hotels that I know of which is chica friendly is hotel Posada or hotel Posada del Sol. They are both in the civic center of town. They have run me $55 to $65 per night and are very nice. They give you the key and you do not have to check with them each time you enter. The other hotel I like is hotel Samil. It is not in the civic center but it is nice and is only $29. You have to be sure they know you want it for the entire night. Sometimes they will not let you have the room for more than 6 hours so make sure they know you want it for the entire day and night. I know some other nice hotels that are clean but small. It all depends on what you are looking for. If you want you can PM me.

Thanks for the info amigo69. I was looking for a decent hotel rather than the cheapest. In doing some more searching, it seems that Siesta Royal Inn may be a good choice. Also, Calafia and Colonial are in the same category and well located. Anyone have info on these for ease of binging chicas back to the room?

The Hotel Lucerna also seems to be a nice place and has the Capilla bar on site (which was discussed in a recent post). However, other posts say that it may not be a chica friendly place. This does not seem consistent with the discussion of the Capilla. Can someone elaborate more on this? Is the Capilla a good place to search out girls for a one-night thing or is it just a hangout for the young crowd search young guys?

I hope to stop for a night in Mexicali the end of next week. Unfortunately, only for 1 night. Thought I'd do some research ahead of time. Any info and advice is welcome and appreciated.

The Crowne Plaza IS the best hotel in town. It is where Pavarotti and Luis Miguel stayed when they performed in Mexicali. IT IS DEFINITELY NOT CHICA FRIENDLY. Hotel Lucerna is the second best hotel in town. IT ALSO IS DEFINITELY NOT CHICA FRIENDLY. La Capilla is a place to pick up 30 to 45 year olds. It does not have putas. If you don't speak good spanish, it is tough to pick up on one of them. They are usually with girlfriends and it is hard to get one for the same night because they don't want to leave their friends. I have always made a date for the next night when I was successful there. This is true at just about all the places where you can pick up non-professionals.

Hotel Calafia, Siesta Royale, and Hotel Colonial are my favorites. If you register for two people and say your wife will meet you later and register a name for her that is spanish, like Maria, Guadalupe, etc. you will not have any trouble bringing a chica to your room.

Of course, if you want a sure thing, go to Bar San Diego or El Establo.

This is my second visit to Mexicali and it was even more fun this time than the first. In both visits I got a chance to talk with Mexican mongers and we traded stories. La Zona is working class, and if you are willing to put the time into it and are a regular, there are some real bargains to be had.

Also, unlike a lot of places in Latin America the streets are safe and the people are honest. I parked my expensive European car all over Mexicali and never had it stolen or vandalized. You can walk anywhere in La Zona without fear.

However, the bars in La Zona are cheap and mostly run down, the music is loud Norteno, which I hate, and the talent can be hit or miss. I’m not in Mexicali for an evening out on the town; I’m there to get laid, preferable by a beauty model, in a nice brothel or in my own motel. La Zona is not my cup of tea.

Bar San Diego and El Establo have excellent talent, are clean, neat, businesslike and you don’t have to spend a lot of time to get laid; however, they are expensive when compared to La Zona. I had a chance to discuss my pricing and services received with a few Mexican mongers at these places. I did not over pay; however, these are businessmen prices and not working class prices. If you want this kind of treatment and facilities you are going to pay for it.

These clubs are located on Francisco Montejano, just south of the “Glorietta” (circular traffic intersection at the Benito Juarez Monument). That is just about three traffic lights north of the Hotel Lucerma. North of the monument the avenue is called Justo Sierra and it splits into a “y” at monument and becomes two streets to the south. Look on any map and you will see this triangle of streets; the clubs are on the west side of the triangle.

I found the place, parked on the street and within a one block zone there were about 6 clubs. They are: Rex, M2, Hijole, Deja Vue, etc. Most were really modern discos, one was a deluxe banda nortena clubs, and two were nice, but deserted sports bars. These were very nice places, with an under 35 year old crowd of wealthy patrons. These are the “beautiful people” of Mexicali. Because of my age, I could see I didn’t fit in so after walking around inside each club I didn’t stay.

I started talking to a couple of Mexican businessmen, who having just finished with some chicas, were sitting in shinny, new, Ford pickup truck getting ready to leave. i checked in to the hotel colonial. it was $2,900 pesos for three nights, two persons (my imaginary wife maria); for the most expensive, pool side, ground floor, executive room. (rooms 300 – 318 are the nice ones.)

there was a nice lawn and pool right outside the room, but very little pool noise. it is a nice, older family hotel and completely safe. i recommend this hotel for our hobby as you can drive right up to your room without going through a lobby.

Thanks guys for all the good info that has prepared me for my upcoming trip to Mexicali. I have read the post going back 2 years and I would be thankful if someone could answer 2 questions that I have not seen covered before.

1. Once I cross the POE, if I ask the taxi driver to take me to La Zona, will he know what I am talking about? That is, La Zona being the area where Hotel Kennedy is located along with Playboy and other clubs. I understand I can walk from POE to La Zona, but I prefer to take a taxi when I arrive my first time at night.

2. On the Calexico side, near the POE, is there any hotels I can stay at and walk from the hotel to POE?

Your taxi ride to the zone will be less than 2 minutes. Go 3 blocks to ALTimirano and turn right then 1 block to the left. The Map Quest program has a map if you hit outside the U.S., Mexico, then Mexicali and adjust the scale. You can't miss.

There are 3 or 4 that are within 3 blocks of the border crossing site and are ok. Only a 5 minute walk. They are not your 3 or 4 star motels. They are small but clean. I have stayed at Don Juan which I believe I paid $40 per night. It is on 4th street. The other is the Border motel and I believe I paid $45. It is also on 4th street and better than Don Juan. There are a couple more on 4th street also but have never stayed in them. I believe if it is your first time to Mexicali this may be your best bet. There are some good hotels in Mexicali also that are not so expensive. If you have any more questions feel free to PM me or RTF as Joe Aurturo and Mexicali Jack are excellent for any questions you may have.

I arrived in Mexicali Wednesday afternoon and was planning to leave on Friday morning. A good friend of mine, Leonardo called me and asked if I wanted to join him Friday afternoon to watch the Mexico vs Cuba soccer game. I said yes but if I was going to stay in Mexicali Friday night that I wanted to watch the game somewhere close to La Mentirosa. La Mentirosa is a night club where the twenty and thirty year old crowd hangs out. I will turn 60 in July, so I normally don't fit in in these places, but on Friday and Saturday nights, there is a great group called "Los Signos" that plays Rock en Espanol, which is my favorite type of music. I had not been to see the group in quite a while and told my friend Leonardo that I wanted to go there after the soccer game. We agreed to meet at "Chabelas de La Justo" which is in the same plaza as La Mentirosa at 5 PM, as the game started at 6 and at 5 we could get parking spaces and have a table in Chabelas to watch the game.

I arrived at 5, parked my car and entered Chabelas and noticed that Leonardo had not arrived yet. I also noticed that Rosalba/Melisa/Natalie was there with two other gals and a guy. La Mentirosa is in a little plaza just South of the statue of Benito Juarez. If you take Justo Sierra south, veer to the left at the statue of Benito Juarez. This is where Justo Sierra changes into Benito Juarez. There is a little plaza on the left (East) side of the street that has a little HSBC bank, a restaurant named Sushi Villa Fontana, a club named Chabelas de la Justo, a club named Cimaron (which has Norteno music) and La Mentirosa.

The rock group is there every Friday and Saturday night starting about 10 pm. Parking is hell, but if you get there early it is a lot easier.

The Hotel Across The Street From Miau Miau Is Clean And Safe...it Is Often Used By The Girls At The Clubs Across The Street For Dates But I Know A Couple Of Guys Who Have Stayed The Night. Rooms Are Clean. I Would Compare To A Motel 6 In Quality. It Is About 6-8 Block Walk Or A Very Short Taxi Ride From The Poe.

Just back from Mexicali this past weekend and I had mixed results. For example, at 16 de Septiembre hotel, there were at least 7 girls in hallway. I said “hello, how are you doing” in Spanish and they did not respond. They would not even look at me, they pretended as if I was not standing there. I was surprised since so many guys on this post stated girls in Mexicali were friendly. This has never happen to me in Southeast Asia or TJ. Anyone care to tell me why this happened? I am not Brad Pitt but I am not an ugly guy. I was nicely dressed and groomed.

Also, in the La Zona area around 1:30 pm this past weekend, there were only 2 ugly girls walking around. Wow, where are the girls? In TJ by the same time, lots of girls in La Zona. I also went to BSD, gee, the girls just sit around and will not approach you. In the places I have been for the past 11 years (Asia, TJ), I would say that the girls in Mexicali are lazy and not friendly. In Thailand-Pattaya, for example, girls will make an effort to smile and be friendly and approach the customer, same for TJ, HK, PI, etc. I also went to El Establo around 3:30 pm, gee I was told they open at 7:00 pm. Does anyone know what time Excalibur open and if it is a good club. Maybe, in the future, I will give Mexicali one more try.

Sorry to hear that your Mexicali experience wasn't so good. I want to tell you that MEXICALI IS NOT LIKE TJ! Daytime action is very sparce in Mexicali. The girls don't want to hang out in 100 plus degree weather. If you want a lot of action during the day, TJ is the place, although I don't go to TJ as it is also the most dangerous city in all of Mexico.

For daytime action in Mexicali, you need to go to the higher end strip clubs, which of course cost more money. Most of them open at 2 PM and some open around noon.

I can't tell you much about what went on with the girls at 16 de Septiembre, as I never have been one to go with a SG. I do know that if police are around that they act a lot less friendly than normal.

I can however tell you what happened at BSD. It has been my experience that at BSD if a girl approaches you for business that 9 times out of 10 she is not all that good in the bedroom. At BSD, the girls don't make commissions on drinks that you buy them. It is the only place that I know of in Mexicali (or TJ for that matter) that the girls don't hound you to buy them drinks. That is why I like BSD so much.

At BSD, the girls are there for only one reason. They are indeed friendly, but want the customer to choose them. If you don't speak Spanish, Castillo, the waiter, is there to help. You pick one out and tell Castillo that you want her to come to your table and she will come to your table and be friendly. Or you ask Castillo which one speaks better English and he will tell you. Even for those of us that speak Spanish, Castillo is the MAN. On Castillo's night off the other waiter (Mike) is also very helpful, but I have never spoken English with him so don't know how well he speaks English.

Once again, Mexicali is not TJ and hopefully it never will be.

Well I have been working hard and decided I needed a break. So I went to Mexicali for 1 day. Arrived around 8:00 PM and it was still hot as hell. Decided to stay at the new section of hotel Villa Blanca (I think that is the name) which is only 300 yards from El Establo. I recommend this hotel as its less than a year old and the AC is new and they let you set it where you want. Nice and cool and I needed it as it was hot as hell in Mexicali. Also it is chica friendly very clean and only $49.

Because of the current heat I would start later like around 8:30pm unless you want to get your BA up with a few drinks. Once you cross CLX POE proceed straight or slightly to the left. Follow the AEROPUERTO sign. From the POE turn RIGHT after 3.6 miles on RIO CULICAN then go .4 miles, BSD is on the left.

Another way. Proceed from the POE and at JUSTO SIERRA (2 MILES from POE) turn right and then left at the 2 PEMEX stations. Proceed about 1.5/1.6 miles to TACOS TONAS (stop sign) and turn right on Rio Culican. BSD 100 yards on left.

It depends on the day and time. Usually Fridays and Saturdays going out by car are long. I would say 1 1/2 hours max. Going by foot to get out is not as long. Maybe 30 minutes to get out max. Late at night or early mornings are shorter. Now that summer is here its not as long either. I usually drive from Mexicali to Algodones to leave and the wait is maybe 20 minutes.

Spent late Monday afternoon at BSD after some business in Mexicali. Temp outside was 120 but the A/C was cranking and the beer was cold.
