Yes you have to work a little harder at the smaller clubs like Tropical, but it is worth the extra effort. The girls at these smaller clubs don't go upstairs as often as they do at AB and CC. At these clubs, the girls usually only dance with the local Mexican workers, most of these worker can't afford to take the girls upstairs, because they are paid so low. The locals like their women with a little meat on their bones thats why you see heavier women then at American strip clubs, but if you look hard you can find what you want.( I usually get a girl fresh off the bus from Culican Mexico, 20 yrs, and very nice looking, that rarely goes upstairs. How I spent Valentines Day.
This was a one day trip of business and pleasure and both worked out great.
The main reason for the trip was to check out some dentist and get some prices for the work I need done. First appointment 9AM then one at 10:30AM.

I am going down about once a month.
Last two times I got a room. I will never go down and not get a room again.

Dude, sorry I don't know what a Flaca chick is and I don't even know what the south side of the street is. It was the same side as Cascades hotel. Yes about half way down the block. Very beautiful face, probably a 9, yes skinny, small chest but the rest of the body was pretty much flawless.

Tropical, is known as a FOB bar in TJ and other forum sites the deal only in Mexico. Most girls here have been in TJ under a month, most will go back to Culican disappointed, and broke.( some refuse to go upstairs, others just can't make much money dancing with the locals.
You have to ask where they live, if they live upstairs in a motel, chances are good they only been in town for a few weeks.
You don't have to speak spanish to go to LC, and the other bars, but you should practice with a translater knowing a few phases, like, Where are you from? How old are you? How long have you been here? do you go upstairs?

Pokey you are right, on this last trip one of the ladies was explaining that she just got to town two weeks ago and that she would not be in town long. One of those if you like me now you better take me things. I did take her to the room. When I asked to see her health card she took it out and it had around eight entries on it. I never said anything, but she had quite a few entries for just two weeks.
Anyways, I took a trip to TJ to get over the shell shock from my last experience. I took a cab from the border to Lord Blacks. That is where I like to start, to get into the frame of mind and see a couple of ladies before going down to get some pun.
Just a note. The Taxi Libre drivers are using their meters, and the meter starts at five dollars. That is five dollars just to sit down and it spins on from there. Be sure to negotiate price before hand so that there is no misunderstanding. I flagged down a Taxi Libre cab to go from Lord Blacks to Adelitas. I asked how much and he said five dollars. When I mentioned that I normally pay three dollars he said we will just use the meter which was at $5. Before we got underway a cop pulled up and began speaking to him for pulling to the curb on Revolution. The cab driver told me that he was going to be a little while talking to the officer so I should flag another cab.
Moving on I got down to Adelitas at about 4pm. It was full of nice ladies, and the floor show was going on. I had a bit of energy so I took a walk over to the alley. I ran into a young lady that stands out in front of the Miami bar. She was dark skinned, with jet black hair. She had front teeth that looked like she sucked her thumb when she was a child. You are correct Explorer. The taxi libre meters start at $5 during the day and $6 at night. That's pesos guys, not dollars. So the meters start at less than .50 and .60 cents American. The vast majority of ATM's are in pesos as well. So are many of the prices you see marked around centro in stores. Afterall, you are in their country, not the US! Although anyone can use dollars or pesos in TJ, which are both accepted at any time.

Paying $5 American for a Taxi Libre is as dumb as letting a taxi take you Lord Blacks. My only experience with LB was sad. First they tried to get us for an $8 (American) cover charge and then when we were going to walk away they dropped it to $3. I seem to remember that lap dances were not cheap (maybe $20 American) and I know for a fact that the girls wanted about $300 for some action. Granted they were VERY hot, but still not worth it.

Weekend trip:
Went to TJ with 10 guys to throw a bachelor party for one. Started the night at HK just before 11pm. Was anxious to see the Lesbian show for the 1st time and wasn't sure if it was here or MB. I had to make certain to walk over at least every half hour. Wanted this to be special for the bachelor and the rest of the gang. Around midnight, I asked our server when the Lesbian show would start and he replied 12:30ish and again at 2-2:30ish. Cool, I couldn't wait. round 2, saturday:

left tj around 2pm on sunday, 1/2 hour wait at the border and absolutely no traffic all the way home to o.c.

I agree with Pokey about the church idea. I don't suspect that it would interfere that much with the activity in the area (except that it might make guys like me have a guilty conscience as we are walking up the stairs to bang a young choir girl). I think it would serve to meet the spiritual needs of the ladies we are talking about on this forum.

Well, just had my first bad experience in TJ last week. If you guys want a good time, I suggest you stay away from this chick named(alias)"Samantha" at HK . About 5'3"-5'4", 100-110 lbs., light skinned, with long black curly hair down to her waist.
Her service was very lousy. No touching, kept wiping her mouth while giving a bj like she was alergic to latex or something. Hell, if she really hates what she does why even bother being at a place like that anyway. And no, I'm pretty sure it was not me. Neither my look,hygience,nor attitude had anything to do with it. Went on a tour of massage parlors in TJ today but I think that Frijole is writing a report on that so I won't double up on the report.
We did end up in Adelita's at around 6:00 p.m. based upon some recent reports on this link claiming that the afternoon crowd was picking up in quality. I would have to say that in my opinion these claims are greatly exagerated. There were two hot girls there but they have been there forever and one of them used to work at Chicago. Other than that the pickings, if not the ladies, were mighty slim. Did run into another monger I know and he seemed as happy as pig in slop so different strokes. Well I went to a new (new to me) massage parlor in TJ. The place is called Maria La Bonita it is right by the Paris massage parlor. However, it is not on Revolucion but, instead its on Calle Hidalgo. I went in there about 4pm and they had 6 gals each appeared to be about 20-22yrs old. They told me that it was $40 for 1hr massage for the house fee but, additional "services" would have to be negotiated with the gals (standard procedure). The girls were not very attractive thus, I decided to visit Paris on Revolucion. In Paris they only had 4 girls but, all were as unattractive as the gals at Maria La Bonita. A friend of mine had previously mentioned to me that he had been going to the Zone during the day and that the quality and quantity was great. Saw a news report that cameras are being out on Revolucion. This is to deter crime by the POLICE! Keep a look out for the cameras going into the zone. That would explain the renovation and lighting.

I remember maybe a year a go I could walk up and down the streets of TJ and the worst part was the hustlers. Now the worst part is cops everywhere who are the criminals. I have heard exactly the same thing about the cameras, but forgot to mention it. My friends were shocked to see how cleaned up it's been and how well lit the area is now. Many haven't been down for a year or longer and they've noticied the improvement.
The federales have been scrutinized for several years now over too many officers and officials being currupt. The government needs businesses to survive and their own agencies are threatening the general population, including tourists, thus, causing businesses to fail. We need the cameras just as much as them!
TJ reminds me of Downtown Disney now - the happiest place on earth.

Just a heads up. Have lived in the area of San Ysidro/Tijuana for some time. I work with many folks who were born and raised in Tijuana and work in the US. It is common knowledge among these folks that Zona Norte as we know it will soon be gone. The reason for improved streets, sidewalks, and lighting is to upgrade the whole of TJ in general. Just as Las Vegas style gambling was abolished there in the mid 1930's, so will the "ladies" and their clubs become a foot note to history. Those great clubs and "ladies" we all have come to know and enjoy so well may generate mucho bucks for a lucky few, but the city fathers and international powers that be will soon enough make it no more than a fond memory.

I find it pretty hard to believe that the zona norte in Tj will be closing anytime soon. Almost any large city in mexico, and just about any other country for that matter has a red-light district, whether it's legal or not. With the disparing differences in economy within the borders of the US and Mexico, it's hard to believe that a business such as this would just shut down. It's quite possible the streets of zona norte may be cleaned up, but it'll just move or become more discrete.

About two years ago I made my first trip to Buenos Aires, Argentina. I fell in love with the city and the people there. It broke my heart to see so many people less fortunate than us. There are many children that don't have adequate clothing or food. Shortly after my first trip I had a goal of starting a non-profit foundation or charity to help out these people. I was surprised when Jackson (owner of WSG) was at my apartment in BA and told me that he was in the final stages of starting the same type of charity. I was amazed and touched that we had the same idea. There really was no need to redouble my efforts.
The news media likes to talk about a side of the hobby that the majority of us aren't a part of yet they don't talk about the other aspects. I'm not quite sure how much WSG Charities has raised over the past year but I'm proud to say that many guys have contributed. Some have made very generous donations of $1,000 or more. I think that's wonderful! There are so many guys that receive benefit from WSG. Directly and indirectly. I posted the following below and I would ask you to read it and make a contribution.
Maybe Jackson will decide to branch out and help feed the poor of other cities. There is so much good we as a collective group can do. There is nothing better than helping someone less fortunate than yourself. Please give generously.

Barabash's lawyer, Daniel A. Hochheiser, said the case is weak and the indictment is politically motivated.

Depending on what study you read, somewhere between 40 and 80% of sexually active Americans have HPV. It basically means you have warts on your genitals. For men, it has absolutely no health consequences whatsoever. For women, it can be considered pre-cancerous when found on the uterus or ovaries. You may someday develop cancer because of it. You may not.
Condoms don't protect you from HPV, and if you've had sex (or even rubbed aginst) more than a few lovely ladies (working girls or not), you've probably been exposed. Probability of Getting Herpes

I have just returned from my first trip in to TJ.
I must admit I was quite surprised by the amount of beauty I found there.

Here is what I can pass on: Adelitas and Chicago are definately the two best in the safe area. Adeliteas definately has a lot more girls to choose from, and a higher precentage of hot babes. My initial reaction is that it blows away Tijuana given what I want, which may not be what others want. This is the strangest trip I've had. Friday night 4/2/2004.

i don't know about hotel above ab, but i recall the hotel in sg alley next to miami bar was something like $21 on friday night per person. this hotel has a lobby area with about 8 or 9 seats, vending machine and a tv attached to the ceiling that's always on. i was with some monger amigos i met while walking to the red light district, and they stayed there. i myself never stayed there and don't know their girl policy.

As a further clarification, the above caution is true for any hotel in the ZN. For example, the AB chicas will not go to Cascadas without an extraordinary infusion of cash, or if they know you. The Miami chicas will not go to the AB Hotel without the same.
One of the basics of planning an overnight trip to TJ is picking a hotel, since that basically limits your subsequent action.
An alternative is picking a hotel outside the ZN, and being ready to do without SGs and paying bar fines for club girls.

As a FURTHER clarification, (and certainly no disrespect to my fellow mongerer Dosequis), my 2pop last weekend was at Hotel Leyva, with a SW who didn't know me at all.

The actual border to Mexico is quite a distance from the San Diego Airport. I'd say half an hour by car? Not too sure about that, but if your coming by plane you don't have many options, other than flying directly into Tijuana.
Vegas won't be cheaper than TJ. You may be able to find something in the street scene off the strip, but even then I wouldn't recommend it over the Adelita Bar. You can get a quick romp in the sack with a street girl for about $25, including the room. Don't expect much though. If your looking for a hottie for a half an hour romp, expect to spend between $60-$80. A lot of the street girls don't do BJ, and even less do BBJ.
Although some may disagree with me here, finding a girl to do BBJ from the bars is possible, and isn't at all too uncommon, you just have to ask ahead of time. It is quite a distance to the border from the airport. Taxi would be more than your mongering budget. You can get to the San Diego Trolley pretty easy. Take it until the last stop and walk across the border. Many locals take the trolley to save on parking $$ at the border.

I agree that the "heat of passion" plays a major role in our decision making, it certainly does mine. In Tijuana, the girls will always go for what they want. Well I checked out some of the TJ massage parlors this weekend. First, Luxor at the Pueblo Amigo Plaza was closed both Friday night and Saturday afternoon. It did not have any of the government stickers on the door so I really don't know what is going on and whether it will reopen. On Friday night I also checked out what used to be Deja Vu but is now called Hotel Lu***** or whatever. About ten girls there nothing that caught my attention so I moved on. SHAME ON ADELITAS BAR.
I witnessed a very disturbing scene this weekend at AB. The messero's were kicking out poor smucks from Adelita's if they did not have beer goggles on. Apparently the fight in the TV had the place packed and to make room, the messero's started kicking out anyone that was not consuming beer like water.

I hear if you show the Pueblo Amigo a Triple AAA card they will charge you only $75. I'm not sure about this because I have never stayed there.

How would you advice me If I wanted to visit TJ say from 2PM to 8PM. I know I cannot take the rental car from San Diego. should i take a cab and have him drop me off and take cabs where ever we go or should i rent a cab from 2pm to 8pm? Any other solutions.

I know most of the people don't recommend driving into to TJ. I've been there dozens of times, and have always driven through. I've never had any problems, other than a traffic citation once(a trap and a joke). The downside is waiting to leave and pass through immigration.
When I take a trip to hit the AB or CC, I always park in the same parking structure across the street from the gigante. So, my actual driving time in TJ is about 5 minutes. no big deal.
If your a newby, try walking across and picking up a cab. Just say adelita bar, chicago club, o zona norte. They know.

I am making my first trip to TJ in 3 weeks, I was wondering what is a safe hotel to stay at that is near the action, near CC and Adelita bar. I was refered to Las Cascades but when I called them the man said the rooms are booked. I read "Brockton O'Toole's FAQ report on TJ !" and the hotel refered was La Villa de Zaragoza Hotel, which is located at 1120 Avenida Madero, between 7th and 8th Streets, is that in a safe area?
Also I'd like a hotel with Air conditioning and I prefer a TV.

Well I strongly recommend you do not rent a cab for the entire time you will be in TJ. First, because it is not necessary, there are cabs waiting outside of every club and cat house. Second, its going to cost you lots more than it should. There are two types of Taxis in TJ, Taxi Especial (which take you wherever you ask), and Taxi Libre (which are community taxis and have a set route. I've never used the Taxi Libre's but, I know lots of people who have. They are much cheaper than a Taxi Especial. However, the Taxi Especial, usually they are yellow, usually charges $5-$6 dollars to take you from point A to B.
Considering the time of day that you will be in TJ, I would greatly recommend that you walk across and take a cab to Adelitas Bar (Adelitas Bar is in the Red Zone or Zona Rosa, most of the clubs discussed on this board are within walking distance, Chicago Club, La Tropa Bar, Mermaids, ect.).
If you decide to visit the massage parlors (Monte Carlo, in Zona Rio, Luxor , which is next to Pueblo Amigo Hotel, and others). I recommend that you have the taxi drop you off and make sure they do not escort you in to the establishment. They usually tack on $10-$20 to your bill because, that is what these places pay taxi's for bringing them clients.
When you are ready to return to the US tell your taxi driver to drop you off on the “Sentry Line” (Linea Sentri) side. This will make you walk across to the US much more pleasant.

This is the first something like this has happened to someone I know( to him not me ) I found my regular Jazmine on the corner by the Orange hotel and went up and had a great time. What is the easiest way to get from LAX Airport down to Tijuana? Is there a bus service from the airport to San Diego? I don't want to waste money on a car when I can instead contribute it to the Mexican economy.
The cheapest way out of LAX is to rent a car, assuming that you are returning. I just checked recently, and a compact car was going for $11.99 a day unlimited mileage and $14.99 for a midsize. I'd much rather do that than take the supershuttle, which is available but with a limited schedule. The other option is to take a taxi to the greyhound station.

There is no good public transportation option from LAX to anywhere outside of metro LA.
Your options for getting from LAX to TJ include:
1) Take a bus from LAX to the train station, take a train to San Diego, transfer to the Trolly to TJ, walk across, catch a taxi. ($3+$25+$4+$5 = $37 one way)
You could also catch a Taxi from the LAX airport to the LAX train station, I'd guess that runs about $20. There are also various airport van shuttles that hang around at the airport, which probably run closer to $10. (Either one is preferrable to LA City busses.)
Even though this might sound like the worst option, if you're not renting a car, it's probably the best.
If you left the train station (via train), headed for San Diego, and a friend left at the same time via car, you would make it to SD first about 80% of the time. No traffic, nice ocean views, comfy cars... hard to beat.
2) Catch a Cloud 9 "LA Porter" service, arranged in advance (you can't flag one down), the price was ~$200 when I checked in February.
3) Get a super cheap rental car. try www.hotwire.com. If you don't mind being seen in a car that looks like a jelly bean, they can be had for $15 a day.

I was hoping someone here would be able to help me with a few questions I have.
I will be going to Las Vegas from the UK in a few days time, and after looking on a map I've noticed that it's only about 400 miles from Tijuana. I don't drive, so I was wondering which options I have to get there. I can't find any details of flights from the net, so I assume this is not an option. I see that I can get a Greyhound bus there, but it says that this takes over 24 hours! Is this normal for only 400 miles? Forgive me for my ignorance of US public transport. So that leaves the train. Is there a train service from Las Vegas to Tijuana? Or at least to the boarder, I'm quite prepared to walk across. Well, basically what I'm asking is for the best options for getting to the boarder from LV, if you could include roughly how much it will cost and how long it would take it would be greatly appreciated.
Secondly, from reading some of the previous reports it seems that most people only stay in Tijuana for a couple of days and some actually go back to stay on the US side each night. Is there any reason for this? If I were to stay for a week would I soon become bored? I'm used to Pattaya, Copa Cobana etc etc, any similarities? Will I get a better quality of hotel for my $ than I would on the US side?
Well, that's enough questions for my first post in TJ section.

The times I saw her were during the week and she arrived around 2pm. She is very tall, with long, straight black hair to her lower back. 1. Flying from Las Vegas to San Diego (USA) is probably your best option and should be investigated. From the airport you can get public transport or a short cab trip to the nearest tram station, which then runs trains connecting to the border every 15 or 20 minutes or so. The San Diego airport is maybe 20 miles from the border. It might take you 2 hours longer than flying directly to TJ (if that were available), but you would make up the time by avoiding an 'international flight' and resulting security delay in both directions.
2. Staying on the US side of the border is not necessary and not very interesting. Prices for hotels on the US side are slightly higher ($ 40 a night) compared to comparable hotels in TJ ($ 30). You can drink the water in the US , of course, and should not do so in Mexicao. You may feel safer than staying in the Zona Norte. But there are reasonably safe and cheap Mexican hotels.
3. TJ is a 20th century developed border town, not a historic Mexican city. The cultural center and IMAX theatre should be visited for a half-day. There may be a good music program one night in a week. It has some good restaurants. But the beaches are not nice, and in general you will not be reminded at all of Copa or Pattaya. Attitudes are less friendly in areas frequented by tourists and mongers; Mexicans as a whole are warm and welcoming people but the Tijuana scene is one of a mass influx of drunk and (to the locals) rich and arrogant Americanos and the women strike many commenting visitors as jaded.
With a week, I advise you to choose somewhere else in Mexico. Or at least consider Ensenada on the same trip... you can get there in 2 hours from TJ by bus or shared cab, if bored. Renting a car would let you explore more of Baja but is relatively expensive.

On getting to TJ from LAX via mass transport:
Of the options that have been mentioned, here is a strong recommendation for choosing the train.
I would go with the option of taking Amtrak down to San Diego, and from there take the San Diego Trolley/Tram down to TJ.
Timing of the train would require investigation up front, having taken this myself I would say this is the most painless way.
The train has a stop right at the tram terminal. Even living in LA and having a car, I would consider taking the train and trolley, I am not speaking for everyone but its nice.
The trolley/tram drops you off right at the border gates.
If timed nicely, train/tram is 2.5 hours maximum ETA.
Driving is a minimum of two hours, without traffic.
Many options, bus, shared taxi or vanpool exists to get you from LAX to train station cheaply. Taking a solo cab is more like $40-50
from LAX to Downtown.
The train/tran option is so cool I am motivated to check out times to see if I can take it down and get back after work.
And when you get down, remember to bargain, a common myth is that high pay will induce great service. Down in TJ, you have labeled yourself a major sucker and you may have the chica trying to play the "how little can I get away with providing to this gringo so I can brag about this to my friends" game. Remember, market rates are already very healthy for chicas down there based on exchange rates, so don't get taken. $50 max at AB, $60 max at CC. room is extra. If you don't bargain, you will be seen as a non-regular and a patsy.

I also agree that taking the train is fantastic. However, I would take the train from Irvine to San Diego, and the trolley to the border. Total time from Irvine to the border is 3 hours, so from Los Angeles must be about 4 hours. Still beats driving sometimes, nice to kick back with a few cervezas on Amtrak.

I'm making my first TJ trip in 2 weeks, flying out of Vegas and taking the trolley to the border seems to be the best option, i'll have to see. Southwest has alot of great deals(terminal C out of Vegas), I paid about $30 each way. Vegas has direct flights to Mexico and the international terminal in Vegas is small and very convenient but I'm not sure if any go to TJ.
I go to Pattaya beach Thailand 2 or 3 times a year, it's a great place, makes Vegas look like Sunday school.
