What a great story! It was kind of gross at first... cottage cheese? That's disgusting. I never look for that but I guess I need to start. I just hate looking at vagina in general. It is so ugly. I am going to make a trip to TJ soon and I want to ask some questions. I have been to TJ (AB, Mexico Lindo) before. I'd like to get some responses to the following:
1. Little Blue/Vitamin V. Everyone talks about using it but I am not sure why. I have never used it myself. Are you guys buying it because you need it to get the lil' soldier into action or are you using it because it keeps the lil' soldier in combat even after the first "explosion", thereby eliminating downtime or rebound time?
2. Where is the best place to pick up reliable vitamin v on the way to the Zona?
3. I've never done the alley thing. What is the risk of getting hooked up with a SG that lies about her age? Anyone ever hear of guys being set up?

Sorry that this message strays off topic a bit but it may be of interest to you and a few others in the LA area.
If you're in the LA area, you don't have to drive all the way to TJ in the off chance of finding a low budget Asian. I haven't tried any Santa Monica AMPs but if it's $150, like you say, I think that I'll have to take a pass. The going rate up in the Oxnard area for FS is typically $40-$50 for the room plus $40-$60 tip for the girl. There are at least 10 AMPs in the area. Even a few Mexican girls some places. Ironically, they tend to be overprice themselves. The Inland Empire (Pomona/Upland/Ontario) is not a bad place for AMPs either.
I've thought about going to TJ several times but I just don't "recharge" like I used to. Too long a drive and too much hassle for only one to two pops. I also prefer more of a GFE experience and it sounds like that's hard to find down there. I'll make it though, one of these days, when business takes me down San Diego way.

Update:
Some of you hobbyists wanted a quick update on the girl from Oaxaca that I brought to the U.S. (I found her crying on the side walk not far from the bus depot. The reason why this went so well is because I was right and didn't do anything stupid. I had the answers, spoke politely but firmly taking names etc. If you get stopped by the cops, don't be wrong if you can avoid it, it's a very weak position to be in with these guys because they'll gut you like a fish.

Such a well written story! I'm sorry that you had to go through that. I've always had my doubts about the policia there, from other trip reports and from things I have seen while being there. I have never (knocking on wood) been in a situation with them and don't hope to be.
Everyone over there is looking for money, even the policica. Who can you trust?
Kudos for standing your ground and giving them not a dime. This is another example of what we all need to do. If we quit caving in to these guys, then they will leave us alone and stop trying to make fake accusations to get $ out of us.
I had plans to go last month to TJ but it didint go through, but next Friday on the 20th I have a business trip in S.D and im going to bail out early and head over to TJ. Thanks for sharing your experience. When I talk to a fellow monger about TJ, they get a sour taste in their mouthes, I think it is because TJ treats their guests like sh*t, they have given themselves a bad reputation.
I live very close to TJ and have only been there a few times, I would go more but I would rather save my money for Thailand, I go there 2 or 3 times a year and have a ball, I'm going back to Thailand in 5 weeks. I've been thinking of going to TJ this fall but I might go to Dominican Republic instead.

No, picking up a SG won't get you a free room at the "TJ Hilton"; but there WILL be a problem if you try to fuck her in public (e.g. in the street, in your car- you get the idea). Just keep it in your pants until you get a room, and you'll be alright.
Incidentally, I have a friend who did get picked up one time by TJ's Finest for a legit misdemeanor-type violation; I mention that because when they got him, there was NEVER any mention of money by the cops until the judge discussed bails/fines at the station. No money to the cops, no ATM trips in the back of the cruiser, nothing.
My guess is that this is what a REAL arrest looks like (the cops don't start talking about "fines").

AlleyKat 19, Bouncing In The Zona with Jtull.
Anyone who knows Jtull knows that any trip to the Zona with him is an experience and a half. Not only does he know the girls, they know him. Operation AlleyKat 18 A No Show
I logged a bunch of miles on Thursday , in Tijuana and Tecate. A long day and I was tired but looking forward to meeting Diana at the hotel tonight. An early start, an early finish and a good nights sleep were in order. I felt that my performance would be somewhat lackluster because I was so fucking tired.
I got back to the hotel just before 8 and alerted the staff that my girlfriend would be showing up, so see her to the room and they were VERY co-operative. Being nice to these people goes a long way.
8PM turned into 8:30, no sign of Diana. I thought to myself “Fuck man, what’s wrong?” I know she understood to meet me at the hotel, I know I had the time right. I decided to drive to the Zona to look for her. As I left the hotel I reminded the security guys to watch for her, they said they would.
I drove to the Zona, got there about 8:45 and could not see Diana anywhere. I went to the club, she was not there. The guy at the door said she did not show up yet and to check back at 9PM. OK. I parked the car, walked the zona, no sign of Diana. 9PM came and went, no sign of Diana.
I decided to head back to the hotel, maybe she was waiting there, but this was not to be. The guys at the hotel said there was no sign of her. WTF? By now it was 9:30 and I was getting a bit worried. Did something happen to her? Did she find a higher paying gig? All of the above?
Back to the zona I went for one last look. The worst I would do is a good nights sleep. Jeez, I needed it.

My report on yesterday's alley girl follows but first the alley concrete paving is only done for half the alley, the east half, not the whole alley like I said a few days ago. There is no place I can think of where you as a newbie in TJ can drink, smoke and party without worrying. I sleep with one eye open.
If you're looking for an all nighter out of the box with no previous experience in TJ then you're going to have to go pro all the way, and that could cost you. How much money you got? You should really PM me. If you're a nice guy, I might be able to help.
There are nice hotels that start at about $85.00, and others in the $45.00 range. You have your skank hotels at between 20 and 35. These are in the Zona, the center of the excitement.
Sounds like you might want to hook up with a brother with some experience. It could save you some grief. Now I am no authority and there are posters who know more than I do, but that's my 2 cents worth.

I used to go twice a week, but have since slowed down. Its too easy to monger in TJ compared to Chicago. So if you want some help mongering in TJ, don't hesitate to PM me. I might be able to arrange my schedule to help out a brother monger from my hometown.
Country John is right about flying into San Diego airport....its only about 20 minutes drive to TJ. I'm sure you'll get cheaper flights than flying direct to TJ.

Modoc Man - Staying in TJ is not that bad. It's important to learn the lay of the land and learn what hotels are good to go. I don't stay in the Zona. Pueblo Amigo is nice and there are several others close by that are not bad either. Staying in TJ saves a lot of time and money.
With all that is said about how terrible TJ is, LA is not that much better if at all. I've had no problems with any hotel in TJ, Monterrey, Guadalajara, Culiacan or anywhere else in Mexico. While the bad elements do exist, I find most Mexicans very pleasant people and especially those in the hospitality industry. I speak NO Spanish.
So give it a try. You might like it!

i've heard about bolero and tried to go there once. problem was that it is a cab ride away and when i got there (around 8-9 p.m.), it wasn't open yet. apparently it's like cc and didn't start happening until later.

My research shows that Bolero is in Pueblo Amigo just after walking across the border. I haven't been there myself but plan to look for it sometime to check it out. If one continues straight as if going through all the yellow taxis (instead of turning right to walk towards the walking bridge and the huge arch at Revolution) and cross under the highway overpass, there is a hotel, gamnbling, and shopping center (Ley, Senor Frog's, etc).

Don’t ever take those yellow cabs and other cabs that charge $5 and sometimes $6 to get from the border to downtown and vice versa. Use the Taxi Libres. Here is how.
As you enter Tijuana, turn right instead of going straight out the far turnstile gate where most of the taxis sit. After going out the right turnstile gate, cross the street and turn left. Continue on past the MacDonald’s (on the right) for about another ½ block. You will then see a string of Taxi Libres in a line. It is a fast moving line. Sometimes you have to wait your turn in the line of people waiting, but usually not.
The meter reads in pesos so don’t get upset. Typically the meter reads 14 pesos when you arrive at Revolucion or Adelitas. $2 equals about 22 pesos so $2 is adequate.
When I return, I usually give the cabbie $3 since the meter usually reads about 19 pesos and driving all night is a really crummy job. To get a taxi back, just stand on the corner and wave one of them down. They are easy to see since they have a bright light on top.

First of all, the legality of buying Viagra w/o prescription in Mexico is very unclear to me. I have heard everything from "It's OTC" to "You will go to jail if you don't have prescription from Mexican doctor" (and everything in between). That said, even if it is completely legal, if the police found you with it and had nothing else to pin on you, they would most likely try to hassle you about it.
When I buy it in Mexico, I try to take it within the pharmacy itself right when I pay, and leave the package and receipt with them. This is good also for US Customs because if they find receipt or package (but no pills) they might think you're trying to smuggle it into US, and subject you to intensive search. HOWEVER, some pharmacies won't let you open it up package and leave it there. In this case I just go to the nearest bathroom. My recomendation also is (if possible) to go to a pharmacy in a mall, or grocery store, during the day, instead of going to a pharmacy only shop in the zona late at night. There won't be police in the mall, there could be by pharmacy.
Viagra will work fine for you, and I use it for the same purpose. Actually I usually use Cialis but that might not be what you want as it lasts 36 hours instead of just 4 (though it also has benefit that it will still work if you're not on empty stomach).

I don't think taking viagra is any big deal. I've done it dozens of times. However, a friend of mine was harrased by the cops there once, and when they found him with "1" V pill, they gave him a harder time. Turns out they were just looking to get money out of him. I usually buy two or three, and bring a couple back with me. I've never been searched to an extent by the border patrol, that they could find it.
My suggestion if your not accustomed to using the pill, is to shoot your wad first, and then take the pill for the second and maybe third round. IT takes between 30 mins. to 1hr for the pill to take effect...depends on if you ate, or have alcohol in your system. The reason i think you should use the pill after your first pop, is the take advantage of it's peak periods.

Anyone who takes the time to research this simple issue of drugs in Mexico will find that, in the simplest of terms, it is ILLEGAL to possess prescription drugs in Mexico without a prescription, the same as it is here the the USA. Why would Mexico be any different? Do your research.
There are wide shades of grey in enforcement however. The cops will see it as an opportunity at the bare minimum.
There people in jail today who worked at the various Farmacias on Pharmancy Row for selling prescriptions OTC without a prescription. The newspapers are full of stories.
Bottom line is if you purchase prescription meds in Mexico OTC without a prescription then you are breaking the law in Mexico. Only you can evaluate the risk.
The Mexican authorities can be quite smart on these issues. For example they can index a drug as to maximum prescribed quantities. If your Viagra prescription usually runs for three days and you have a weeks supply then they'll take that up with you even if you have a "prescription."
The list of "prescription" drugs is different in Mexico than in the USA. You should check that out too.
Don't think that because you're in Mexico it's OK to fool with prescription drugs.

I don't think it's that simple (after all, this is Mexico we're talking about). I have purchased Cialias in at least a dozen different pharmacies throughout Mexico (including big corporate chain pharmacies) and have never been asked for a prescription. It is treated as OTC even if it isn't. The consular sheet is talking about "controlled medication", I think that is analogous to "controlled substance" in the US, which is stuff like Xanax and Valium, but most certainly not Viagra, Cialis, Levitra, where the laws are substantially more lax. You do hear people getting in real trouble IN MEXICO for possession of controlled medication but I have never heard anybody getting in real trouble for Viagra (or arthritis medication, or whatever).
Equally confusing is the US Customs policy on importing it. The wording on the CBP web page is confusing but SEEMS to suggest you can bring 30 day supply of non-controlled medication w/o prescription. However, I have asked CBP agents and they said this is not the case (you need either Mexican or US prescription).
One way to combat problems in either Mexico or the US is just get a prescription in Mexico. Many pharmacies have doctors on-site, and supposedly will write you a prescription for anything for around $10-$20 w/o hassle. Has anybody tried this?

Of course you can buy meds OTC in Mexico, Farmacia Row has been there for 50 years. It's nothing new.

You can buy meds in Mexico OTC all day long without a prescription. It is not legal however and you run the RISK of being caught.
A great way to shake down a gringo is to watch him leave the Farmacia and then approach him to find several V pills, then ask for the prescription and then giving him the opportunity to pay the fine now. Keep in mind that you might not ever get shaken.
But you are a sitting duck also.
I am not trying to discourage you here, I think it is important to understand what your position in this is however because there seems to be a lot of confusion about this issue.

Farmacia Row is just across the border if you exit out the right side (rather than straight ahead, which is the way to the Taxi stand).
The Zona, including Adelita and Chicago and Hong Kong etc, as well as the alley, is perhaps a 6-7/10ths mile walk across the bridge from Farmacia Row. IMHO, it's a perfectly safe walk in daylight, at night, I'd recommend a cab. Simply walk toward the arch. The zone is another 1 block past the arch and then head down hill.
If you take a cab, the route is much more roundabout, and will seem like it's a couple of miles.

You're right about selective enforcement. I've had more than one TJ cop nicely and enthusiastically give me directions to the closest farmacia, some even smiling and saying "good price on veeagra", without me telling him what I wanted.
They welcome you to buy almost anything without a prescription, but then their buddy will shake you down for money while leaving the same farmacia if you dont have the RX. It how they make their money off the touristas and Americans. If your hispanic looking, you can walk out with needles in your arms, and nothing will happen.
Since I've yet to use vitamin V, if and when I do, I will take it there right in the store, not giving them a chance. I've been hasseled on the street before, just for talking with a local, got followed for blocks then seached even though I had nothing on me. I was nice, polite, yet firm that i bought nothing from the local, so once they saw i was clean, they didnt ask for money.
I personally feel that ANYONE carrying drugs in TJ is just asking for trouble and better have some extra cash on hand. Unless you hide it real good and then take the V at a bar, its a dangerous game to play. Take your shit in the US, cross the border and THEN, bang away.

I have been a poster for several years and I have been going to TJ for ~ 3 of the last 5 years. Sadly I have been not traveling to TJ for the last 2 years. However, I luckily went there this week for 2 days. Report later in Adelita forum on the girls.
Boy has it changed! Outside Adelita’s the street is paved with a meridian strip and the cops keep traffic moving. Lots of police presence. I observed a fight starting in the SW alley and within 1 minute the officers were running in from 2 directions. Even the sidewalk in SW alley is paved with decorative swirls and is twice as wide as before. The girls have resorted to tossing a small piece of paper instead of tugging on your sleeve when you walk by.

Many people like to use it as a recreational drug. Every single case documented there is for Valium or Ritalin (or the other one case of 6,000 tablets "including controlled substances"). These are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from Viagra (especially, 1 tablet of Viagra), and subject to completely different laws. I challenge anyone to present documentation of real trouble - beyond a police shakedown - for somebody carrying 1 tablet (or any single digit quantity) of Viagra. I've never seen it - in newspaper or even claimed in Internet mongering forum.
That said, of course be careful. Don't be stupid, don't buy more than one or a handful, and don't do something else to arise suspicions. If you do it casually and don't create other problems, don't go to pharmacy at night, you will be perfectly fine.
Also, bringing medication INTO Mexico w/o prescription is just as "wrong" as buying it w/o prescription, so I don't understand the advice to buy it online, then bring it into Mexico. If police find you I bet you would get into MORE trouble for having an unmarked pill than you would having sealed package from pharmacy.

Anyway, going there in the morning is nice. The food is not great but not bad for he price and location. I can sit there quietly watching the tube. been lurking in the background of this board for quite some time, and thought i would finally add something. moved to socal a few months ago from nyc, and found oc and the inland empire to be basically dead from a monger's perspective.
i had been to tj before, but only one other time to monger. i was not disappointed yesterday. parked on the us side of the border and started slowly at first as tj can be a bit overwhelming - so many places and girls, so little time and money. as predicted by many of you, the taxi driver tried to steer me to a massage place with the promises of cold beer and hot women, but i held firm and had him drop me on revolucion.
i have a bad back, so my first stop was aztec massage. it is close to the arch, on the third floor of a building right on revolucion. (look up to see the sign painted right on the building). aztec was busy yesterday, and i had to wait about 35 minutes. it seemed like a pretty clean place, so i decided to wait. they claim to have safety deposit boxes for your valuables, but i didn't see any sign of this. i felt pretty safe, though. once you get in the room, there are big signs on the wall saying the massage is non-sexual. thanks to this board, i already knew that, so it was not a problem. the therapist was pretty nice looking, so i would not have minded a few "extras". it was a very nice massage that lasted close to an hour, and was not rushed at all. the cost was $20, and i left the girl a tip as well. afterwards, you can take a quick shower if you want, and it seemed very clean. if you are looking for a place to relax - or just take a break from mongering- then this is a relatively cheap (compared to the us) massage and i would recommend you give it a try.

i have found that there are a lot of things in tj that cost less than 5$ - taxi rides, beer, shoe shines, tips, whatever. next time i go, i will take along a lot of 1$ and 5$ bills to prevent this kind of thing from happening again. nobody can short change you if you're not looking for change. another thing to watch out for is buying the girls drinks. don't be afraid to say no - they won't sit with you if you don't buy a drink. when you do see a girl you like, wave her over and offer to buy her a drink. then use this as an evaluation period - is she worth taking back for a dance? if you don't like her, tell her to get lost and if you do like her, then go for a dance. the trick is to avoid buying too many drinks for too many girls. i was in and out of that club in 30 minutes - all i wanted was a beer and a few lap dances, and i think i managed to get pretty good value, again relative to an american club.

there are many farmacias on revoluction, and the guys who work there would hassle me every time i passed by one. i was tempted to get some v, but after reading some of the horror stories on this board, i decided against it. one thing i noticed about these farmacias is that they were all empty - even on a busy saturday afternoon, there was nobody in them buying anything. this seems different than when i was last there. maybe word has gotten around that americans are being hassled by the mexican cops for buying prescription drugs otc. at any rate, with so few other shoppers in the farmacias, i figured i would be an easy "mark" for a cop if i ventured in and purchased something. soemtimes, there really is safety in numbers, so i took a pass yesterday on buying any vitamin v. didn't end up needing it anyway, as i went to ab for a beer but just didn't have time to go upstairs. (and for you more experienced tj travellers, don't worry, i will not drive the price up at ab - $50 max, pay after, and maybe a tip for exceptional service).

Traffic was great going from L.A. to Tj. this past Sunday. I parked on the U.S. side and walked to the Zona. Passing by Revolution, there was a street festival going on with live bands playing. You can probably get a share-a-ride shuttle van or taxi to the border for $30-40. OR from the San Diego airport, take a shuttle or taxi to the nearest trolley stop or the Amtrak station. The trolley goes straight to the border. Also, I have been told by a real cheapskate friend that you can take BUDGET rental shuttle from terminal to BUDGET lot, say "thanks!" and walk around the block to Washington Street, get in TROLLEY and go to San Ysidro (last stop) walk across border,and bingo. Take a TJ cab from the border most places for $5.

I've taken the trolley from the airport to the border dozens of times. Its really easy and takes about an hour total. Once you arrive, exit the terminal and look for the signs for the 'Airport Flyer' bus (992) and take it to the trolley station, Plaza America. Hop on the Blue Line trolley marked 'San Ysidro' and take it to the end. Follow the crowd up the walkway to the Mexican border. I assume you know what to do from there. The whole trip costs around five bucks.
Last time I was in San Diego,(2weeks) the trolly was being repaired at the border. I was wondering if anyone knows if it is running now, all the way to the end?

The SGs in the Alley - except for Cascadas - are all gone. I attended a meeting of the SGs a few minutes ago, and here is the report:
Some authority gave the order today that no SG can work on the street in the new Alley.
Legal representation of the SGs is filing a stay of the order for the SGs to leave the Alley, but it cannot be filed until Monday.
Hotel Eduardo is planning to swiftly create a lobby for their girls, but completion date is ***.
This action only covers the Alley, but the general feeling is that the rest of the Zona will evict the SGs if this works.
There was a long discussion as to who gave the order, it is not clear that the Mayor is responsible, it is possible that it is just the substation police.
I noticed that the Cascadas lobby is filled with their prime SGs, about 5 deep, lined up like cows. They are inside the lobby, not on the street.

I guess the club owners got fed up with all the empty seats during the week (and some during the weekend) and decided that it was time to get rid of the SGs. Let's face it, it would take a hundred years to transorm the place into a tourist refuge fit for the kids so something else is up.
They can move the SG's where ever they want. We'll find 'em. Anyone stupid enough to patronize the clip joints in the zona will get what they deserve. Hopefully the members will stay away and give the clubs what they deserve for driving the girls away- no business.

But guys, it's NOT really about the $7/drink clubs. The clubs have business with or without SG. Maybe more without the SG and when the only girls in TJ are IN the clubs, but that's not the point here I think.
It's about the $5 SHORT TIME HOTELS. Without the SG bringing guys there, they have NO BUSINESS. ZIP BUSINESS! They ALL go broke and shut down?
For instance, think about the "hotel business" at AB. Forget the drinks. The girls are there to generate $$$ for the hotel. Notice there's never an "exit fee" and they don't really "push" drinks? Because at $11/pop for 30 minutes---they do just fine. The AB girls are there for management ONLY to service the hotel. My take on it.
Same goes for the SG. They make the $20-25 service fee, but the hotels take in $5-6 for the 15 minute pop (no towel, no hot water, no sheets, etc) and are the ones making the big money on the street because maybe a dozen OR MORE SG use the same hotel. Do the math!
So I don't know how they're going to justify putting all the little hotels OUT of business, just to give the clubs MORE business?

Was in the Zona yesterday (Saturday 9/25). Was in Adelitas for a good 2-3 hours, and spoke to many of the girls. It was pretty crowded yesterday, and there was everything from about a 5 to a 9.5 working. Something for everybody, I guess.
It's funny, but after reading this board, I would have thought that you had to initiate contact with most of the girls at Adelitas. Not so. I took a seat at the bar over in the back corner, where I could watch both the back area and still keep an eye on hottie central. Couldn't really see the main stage, but that didn't matter. Walking along Constitucion, there were many SGs in front of hotels and standing on corners yesterday. Again, it surprised me that there were so many and the fact that they are not shy about calling out to you - they know what you're there for, and that you're going to AB. A couple of them even slapped me on the ass - how's that for subtle? Didn't try any SGs yesterday, but maybe I will if/when the situation changes. Hopefully, the prices will not change as a result.
Overall, a very good trip yesterday, despite the crackdown on the SGs. Zona Norte is a cool area, with something for every taste and budget. Just play it cool, don't get drunk or act like and A**hole while your're walking around, and respect the people and the laws. And, of course, play nice and play safe.

1) What is the problem with Cascadas that you guys don't recommend going there? (CJ- you mentioned a "boycott" in one of your earlier posts, but I didn't really get why). Should the rest of us be avoiding this place?
2) Where is Hotel Leyva and La Perla restaurant in relation to Adelita's? I looked for them both yesterday but could not find them

If there are 3+ in different cars with assult rifles, you're probably going to get out of there without a scratch unless you have drugs on you (the one's with assult rifles are actually good guys. They earned the ability to carry those guns. I've hugged one before, and offered to give him $500 for not stealing my money. He got kinda pissed, but then laughed at me and then with me when I started telling him stories.)
Becareful walking in the Zona or on Revolution. Mexican guys follow you around to go into clubs so they steal comission. The cops see this and think their taking you to get drugs. They'll plant drugs on you if there is only 1 cop, or 2 cops and their partners.
If you get put into a cop car, demand to go to the US Embassy IMMEDIATELY. Also demand an abagado. With luck he'll set you out in the middle of no where and you can try to flag down a taxi to get back. If ur not lucky, he'll take you to TJ jail which is worse than hell itself. Don't ask how I know.
Other than that, you should be safe.
Okay anything else of importance that wont take long to type.
1) There are no Cuban Cigars in TJ. Their all counterfit. One shop has real ones once in a while, but their almost all fake. Offer no more than $3 a piece for them. If you want real ones and are near LA PM me. I know a place that has'm, but their $15 a piece.
2) Clubs that take a cover are MUCH safer than any club down there. I'll explain before I click submit.
3) Don't bother with Revolution, unless its Madonna's. If you want cheap sex, go to the Zona. If you want expensive sex, but safe, Luxor/Purple Rain/Monte Carlo.
4) If a girl lets you go bare back, she's let a thousand guys before go. Even if she swears "it was just that one time, and it was still a mistake, but she reallly likes you." I've never done it, but I've had girls offer in many countries and TJ is one.

Some times good there, some times bad. I have been going to TJ for about 14 years and have never had any problems with the Polica till this past time.

He went through every pocket, twice, finding nothing but my ID, ATM, 50 dollars american & 50 dollars in pesos, he said I could go. Telling me next time go to the ATM by yourself. I told him as I was leaving its kind of hard to do that if you don't know where it is.
I guess I can thank my lucky stars we were on Reveloucion Blvc and in front of many people. That was probably my only saving grace. I had 100 in cash and did not loose any.
Lesson learned, don't go anywhere with any local no matter what.

You can feel comfortable taking Taxi Libre taxis anywhere.They cost less than half, even if you pay in dollars. Border to Adelitas is $3, that's with the tip.
They usethe meter, figure nothing less than 11 to 1 in conversion.
Not every cop in Mexico is a thief. In all fairness, not every one is a saint, but if you avoid compromising positions, they will not seek you out. I have NEVER been stopped in a taxi on the way to the border.
I have NEVER crossed the border with more than $300 and never a credit card. This mention of thousands is, well, unusual. Don't be put off. Many have the time of their life with $100 or less.
Newbies: If you take the time to go back through the threads, you will learn all you want to know about clubs on Revolution, or any place else for that matter. A cab from there, by the way to Zona Roja is the same $6 in a yellow, $3 in Libre cab.
Thumperr's views are from a hobbyist. I live in the Northeast and am in SD on business 3 or 4 times a year. Hardly a regular, but enough to know the ropes.

Went to TJ over the weekend. Looks like they had cleaned up the street a quit bit. I was very impress. Chicago was okay. More guys and girls. No one really hot working that night. Sorry that this is a late post, but have been busy since my return from San Diego and my trips to TJ. I did make one post on CHICAGO area, but decided to make a final post here for my first few visits to TJ and thoughts.

The recent comments about the demise of CC do not match up with my eperience. About two years ago, I used to go to TJ once or twice a month on a regular basis for about 6 months, always in the late afternoon/early evening. While I had some good times in AB, I always preferred CC because it was more laid back and less crazy.
I went back to CC this last week for the first time in long time. No doubt, CC is kind of 'dead" in the afternoon, not many hobbyists and only a sporadic floor show. There were aybe 20 girls total. I saw at least 10 that I would rate 7+ on the looks scale -- the talent there was very impressive.
I ended up with Roxanna, who is favorably reviewed in an earlier post. Good looking, nice body, great and friendly service. I definitely would see again.
So if you want a more quiet and laid back atmosphere where the talent still appears to be high quality, I say CC still is the place.

I think I'm going to give TJ a break for a while. I try to make a trip from LA several times a year, but I think a hiatus is called for. Saturday I just had a unique experience I'm a long time lurker but I thought this shareworthy. I've been back (in the US) from Asia a couple of months and recently made a business trip to San Diego. A friend of mine told me I should check out Tijuana and gave me the email address for a couple of white dudes that live there. They supposedly do transportation, translation, etc, he said. If you want a quick 30min trophy fuck, then adelitas is the place for you. While, AMP's caters to you more and spends more time and effort with their clients. A way to get a top-flight experience at AB requires some time, sitting down, drinking and talking with the chicas. If they are cold or are rushing you to go upstairs, you probably won't have the best experience.
On my most recent trip, I was there in the early evening (7ish) and was standing at the bar on the left side of the room as you walk in. I think I can say with confidence that there are no such "animal" shows in TJ. Occasionally, you'll hear a tout or barker mention a "donkey show" to an unsuspecting group of guys, but it's an urban myth, not reality. There is no donkey show. Never has been, as far as I can tell, and every vet I've ever heard on the subject says it's just baloney.
This has been especially true during the ascendancy (and now decline) of the PAN political party in Baja California over the last fifteen years. In the early nineties, lots of the Revo bars had nude dancers. And at Manhattan Bar you could even see the legendary Scorpio strip down to her birthday suit and do insertions. But all that's disappeared, thanks in large part to the conservative and parochial morality of the PAN. So don't hold your breath waiting for "donkey shows" to appear.
Now getting back to the bird, the darts, the razors, and the goldfish.

I understand your frustration. What follows is some general experiences and conclusions that I have drawn in my travels as a moger. While it may not be specific to TJ, I think that it is equally applicable to the TJ experience.
I mentioned in an earlier post that there is something for everybody at AB, and I firmly believe this. The advice of others on this board is very sound, and is in keeping with my experieces in TJ and other places: the hottest girls are generally less likely to give great GFE service. They don't have to, so why would they bother making the effort? The hottest ones will have always have guys lined up to pay then $60 (or more). They are the high volume girls and don't care about repeat customers.
Many of the other girls in AB - the 7s and 8s - are really pretty stunning, also. These girls are well aware of where they stand in the pecking order (and believe me, there is a pecking order in every strip club, AMP and AB-type bar in the world). If you are nice to them, and try to connect with them by chatting with them and showing an interest in their lives, I think they appreciate it, and it pays off later. Yes, it may cost you a few drinks, but this can be a good way of testing the waters. After you have had a few drinks and spent some time chatting, you will get a pretty good idea of the service level that you will receive upstaris. If she is rushing you, pushing to get upstairs, drinking her drink quickly, and not engaging in conversation, then these are all warning signs that the session will not be GFE. If GFE is what you are looking for, then it might be time to blow her off and bail.
Not every 9.5 girl will be a 5 in bed, and not every 7 will be a GFE. There are exceptions to every rule, but as a matter of course if you are looking for a GFE, it is best to go with one of the 7s, and invest some time with her up front. Once you find one who treats you well, I find it is best to continue to go back and see her - it only gets better after the first time, especially if you convince her that you are there to see only her. Once you find your special girl at AB, bring her a small gift or something, or take her to lunch, the next time you go to see her and watch her enthusiasm and the service level go way up. (Just don't spoil her and raise the bar for the rest of us!)
Finding the perfect 7. I think it is best to go to clubs during the day when it is less crowded, and you are more likely to find the 7s and 8s working. At night, the 9s and 10s are out in full force, things really heat up, and demand outstrips supply. There is less time (and tolerance) for talking and getting to know somebody up front.
Next piece of advice: ask and you shall receive. If you're not sure if she'll do what you want, just ask her. It may cost an extra $10, but it will be worth it. If you like going to AMPs, then you may enjoy a massage before getting laid (who doesn't?). Some of the girls, particularly the lower volume girls, will do this for a few extra bucks. Get the room for an hour, get her to give you a nude massage, and then get your board waxed. Anne Marie of Mexico City offered me this for $50 plus I pay for room for one hour ($72 total). Much cheaper than the $160 that FS at an AMP in the US will run you - plus a much better selection of girls.
Last piece of advice: you are more likely to have a GFE with a club girl than a SG. When you are seeing a SG for the first time, you just don't have the time to invest up front chatting, drinking and getting to know her. As a result, you really are just another gringo customer to her - there is no emotional connection whatsoever. A lot of guys don't care - they're just looking for a hot girl, and this is the beauty of the SG scene. You can make the same investment in a SG as with a bar girl (as others on this board have done), it just takes a few more visits.
Anyway, I hope this helps. Don't give up on TJ just yet. Your GFE is waiting for you!

NOTE: They are tearing up the walk-thru border entrance on the TJ side, they have closed off the walkway that turns right, so you now HAVE to walk straight thru into the Yellow Cab lot. THEN you can turn right and walk toward the McDonald's, pedestrian bridge, Taxi Libre stand etc. Apparently part of the plan to "beautify" TJ, which is like putting lipstick on a pig.
Friday and Saturday nights are the WORST time to go for ABs. Anytime is the worst time to go to Chicago Club. I think the best time to go is Monday and Thursday nights. Lots of potential GFEs to be found at ABs.
Regarding guys looking for GFE in TJ, the true GFE only comes from the E from your GF. There have been some advise that you should buy the chica a few drinks to test the water before you go upstaires. But remember these drinks are expensive($7 + &1 tip) and take only a couple of sips before the tiny glass is empty. So you might end up ordering a few drinks($16 or more) while trying to guage the chica for potential GFE. Is it really worth spending that much more money ? I don't think so. I would rather use that money to enjoy one more SG or other club girl. Why care so much about GFE ? I don't know about other mongers but I am in TJ to experience a variety of chicas, the good, the bad and the ugly. Maybe not the ugly :)
If the chica lets me do normal routines(missionary, doggy, on top) I am fine with that and I will move on to the next target. If I was looking for a GFE, I could get it here in the US. However, I have to admit that the service from chicas in TJ has been on a downhill. Heck, everything seems to be deteriorating in TJ for that matter. The difficulty of GFE seems to be a Tijuana-specific problem. In every other country, and even most every other part of Mexico, GFE is not something you need to butter up a girl for, it just happens and is part of the deal. Let's take something as fundamental as KISSING. I love kissing prostitutes (especially those with braces - they drive me wild). In other border cities of Mexico, say Nuevo Laredo, kissing is pretty much assured with any girl in a club - usually DFK. In other countries girls initiate DFK. Trip report, Sunday 10-10-04,

Can anyone who is a fellow Canadian tell me if you need to carry your passport for crossing into TJ or back into the states? Again, please note that I hold a Canadian passport, and other forms of Canadian picture ID.

No problem getting into Mexico, it's returning to the USA that you need to prepare for.
You should have your travel docs with you (return tix to Canada) and your passport of course. If you stay in a Hotel Stateside, don't leave them there. Take special care to safeguard them in Mexico too. The Zon is no place to leave stuff lying around.
Take your check book and credit cards as well as a current drivers license. They are going to want to make sure you have an active residence going in Canada. You SHOULD also put your most recent paystub in your wallet to verify that you are employed. They are concerned that you migrating through Mexico which is common these days.

I think Country John may be going further than is needed. I had no problem crossing the US border with my passport and another form of picture ID (driver's license).
Technically going into Mexico, we Canadians need a visa but Tijuana seems to be in a special zone and although there are officers in the crossing area they don't check id. I've read that if you head south out of town there is another checkpoint where presumably they would ask for the visa.

I think that Country John's main reasons for caution are with respect to re-entry into the US, not entry into Mexico. To the Mexicans, we are quick revenue. To the US, we are potential illegal aliens.
I have travelled to many countries including Mexico during the past few years (but never before to TJ), and the only place where I get hassled at customs is upon entry into the US. When I say "hassled" in this context, I am saying that they ask a LOT of questions. No rubber glove yet, thankfully.
Do you have amy comments about the Canadian ID that you were asked to present when you re-entered the US from TJ?

Country John is correct. You should definitely take your passport, proof of return ticket to Canada and a pay stub or some other proof of residency / employment in Canada. While Canadians do not need passports to enter the US from Canada, they are required to carry them when entering the US from a 3rd country (i.e. Mexico). After 9/11, I think it is good planning to carry your passport whenever you are entering the US, even for a short time.
If you are worried about your passport, buy a money belt from Wal-Mart (cost: $7) and put the passport and money in there - there is virtually no chance of it being lost or stolen. When undressing in the hotels with a girl, take the money belt off, put it in the pocket of your pants, and then stuff a sock in over it - makes it very hard for the girl to steal it or for it to fall out. Just make sure that you still have it when the girl leaves. The girls are fast at getting dressed in TJ, and she'll be out of the room faster than they can raise taxes in Canada. Now that's fast!
As for needing a visa in Mexico, this is not quite true. All foreigners (including citizens of both the US and Canada) need a tourist card once they get past a certain point from the US border and into Mexico. These cards are purchased inside the Mexican border for $45. In the State of Baja California Norte, these are only required if you venture further south than Ensenada on the western coast or San Felipe on the eastern coast OR if you stay in the border zone (i.e. Tijuana) for more than 72 hours. As a general rule, nobody will ever try to enforce this rule in TJ as most tourists are there only for one day.
Have a great time in TJ. If you're there on Saturday, 10/16, look for me at the bar in ABs, as I would be happy to buy a fellow Canadian a beer.

Sorry that it wasn't clear. My first paragraph was about going "into" the US from Mexico in response to what Country John wrote.
That is: going from Mexico back into the US, I had no problems with my Canadian passport and one picture ID. The border officers asked no questions (unlike at airports where I agree with you they ask more questions than most other countries). Once the officer put my machine readable passport through the machine but that was it.

Funny thing is as a duel citizen I have never had a problem. I have both U.S. and Canadian citizenship. Have crossed the border at TJ several times without problem(Coming in) and crossing the border at El Paso. I tend to get hasseld at the airport more then at N.American border stations.
I do use my US passport quite more then my Canadian one simply because it's easier to get around. As you said All I need is a DL and SSn card and or CC's from the us to ever prove anything. I use my Canadian passport since I work overseas it's less hassele then a US passport.
At MIA I made the mistake of putting my Canadian passport in my luggage for a flight back to Winnipeg one year. I have never seen so many customs agents on a person at once which happened to be me. Just be careful there.
Easiest border I have ever crossed U may know it Blue I don't know if you have been there. The crossing Between Alaska and the Y.T. I was about 8Km's imto Canada before the station was there. And all they asked me is if I had any guns.

Visited TJ and was able to line up an appointment via email with Tania from escortmexico.net. She picked me up at the McD's just across the border in her white Honda.
