Anyways I was thinking of asking her if anyone in her family could help me in finding 1 or 2 good casas particulares once I am in Habana and also if any of her relatives there can help me find me find some good "mamitas" (non pros or semi pros) or at least help me get some decent pro jineteras for "non-yuma" prices less than 30 CUC (from I read I think the general consensus is 30 CUC is the max for ST). I know that she will be discrete if she helps me but I was just wondering what people thought? Is asking a family friend for local help to maximize my trip a good idea? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.I'm sure her family will find you a Casa no problem, if not check out Cuba Junky - http://www.cuba-junky.com/ . They have a fantastic app for smart phones. Or you can check out http://bestcubaguide.com/ . I have used both of these sources to find good Casa's. You will have zero problems finding a chica.

I was thinking about taking a trip to Havana in a few months for my first trip to Cuba before it comes completely ruined and was wondering if any members can give me some advice regarding something. My family has a Cuban friend who has been friends with us for over 15 years and who has family in Havana. She periodically goes back to visit her family there (in fact she is in Havana now). I am Hispanic, can speak Spanish somewhat fairly fluently, and relatively in shape. Our friend is not judgmental, is a realist, and is pragmatic. Thanks in advance. It's best to get a paid membership here for $20 and then maybe some more experienced members will help you via the private messaging. Havana is a fairly big city. Some areas are much better to stay in than others. If you speak Spanish it will help you a lot.

Recent posts by Americans paying 70-80 CUC. Also saying that if they are quoted high prices for anything, just say you are Canadian!

Damn you Americans!! LOL.

Cdns have been going to Cuba for decades, you Americans come along, piggyback on our name and friendly reputation to get better prices and then OVERPAY for girls.

Geez, guys. Can't you just fit into the program and not wreck the prices for the rest of us and ruin Canadians reputation there?! I know it is exciting, but think ahead, use the head on your shoulders, no the one on the end of your cock.

Hi,

I'll be in Havana the second week of March and would like to know if anyone could forward me telephone numbers or e-mails of owners of casas particulares. I would like to deal directly with the owner and not through the websites because I want to bypass the commissions. I speak English and Spanish, so the language is not an issue.

Thank you so much.

Any of the long time Havana visitors will say the same. Also almost all casas in Havana do allow you to bring chicas back. The casa owner normally asks for the girl's carnet (ID card). This is for your own protection. I've also been going to Havana for almost 14 years and was there in December. Maybe my statue is next to Prison Break's, Terry's and a few others. LOL.

Booohooo. So many guys whining more than the wife I'll never have. I get it, you found a slice of heaven. You found a place like Colombia, Cuba, and Venezuela that for one reason or another got less foot traffic by [Deleted by Admin]. Too bad. I always laugh by men who ***** about how a hooker can demand getting 1 months pay out of a guy in 1 hour, or the guy who "foolishly" pays for it. It's called capitalism. It's ruthless. It'll run over you like a tank in Tienanmen square. And it's the reason that the women of Cuba will have more fruitful options with the men that employ them for their time. Incidentally, it's also the reason you have enough money to travel to these countries and bang these chicks at whatever discount you were celebrating. So deal, you don't always get to have your cake and eat it too, deal with it. Invest in an oculus vr and fleshlight, learn Spanish, hit the gym, put some extra hours in at work or whatever it's going to take for you to manage with or compete at the now inflating price. [Deleted by Admin]

That being said, I will be going to Cuba for the first time next month, and if it's important enough to me, I'll just find a way to pay more for a chica than you did last year, whatever.

Booohooo. ......I have to agree with the content (but not the tone) of Dexter. We are the ones with the money and can make our own choices. I make it clear that I'm a 'murican. I make it known that I'm willing to pay for quality. I spent 500 CUC on a chica for a week (in Santa Clara) and thought that she was worth every penny and even told her so. I know full well that 40 CUC is the rate for an hour or two with a jinetera. I didn't want a jinetera, but rather a nice chica.

Hey fellow mongers.

Might as well post this now since I am still putting my shit in order after getting back from la Habana.

This place is happening and it's fairly new at least it's for me. It's centrally located in the Vedado area.

I was not able to go in since after being told about it, I could only drive by with a friend who's Cubano and not into any sort of action.

I asked him to stop and I was impressed by what I saw from the street.

I will tell you this (I was told is not a jinetera joint, not yet anyway) I was told this is a hang out for the nouveau well to do Cubanos / as or new entrepreneurs that are "making it" in today's Cuba.

I think if you have some game and dress accordingly, no flip flops guys, you'll be able to have FUN here. Either dress to impress or at least in good taste.

Anyway, hope someone here reports back after visiting and let us know a take on this joint. By the way the parking attendant told me the best action happens on Friday's during Happy hour, yes you read right, Happy hour in la Habana. LOL.

Also, it goes the whole week but Mondays is Gay night, so unless you are into that scene stay away on Mondays.

La Esencia is the name of this place, link below. Also, I would Uber it, I mean take a taxi there as there is no parking anywhere around it.

Prices have gone up? They were pricey as it was.IMO that was the smartest thing you could have done! Even if you had to pay for damages for your own car, it was probably the cheapest option. Guilt is based on your ability to pay and hence the gringo is always guilty. Cuban witnesses will always side with the Cuban. What? You didn't do anything wrong? What does that have to do with anything? Okay, so you don't want to pay? Well then, we will have to go to court. Your court date is 1 year out. And oh, you can't leave the country until your court case is settled.

Gringo always pays.

It's very funny seeing the Canadians mad that the Americans are coming in town. Well, I will be making my first trip to Cuba soon, so yep-- Americans are here and we will be taking over soon enough (like the 50's). I tend to try to stick with the norms of pricing but the fact is, if someone chooses to pay more, then that is their choice. These women are trying to make money and will obviously want to get the max they can. If you don't like that, you probably shouldn't be in this hobby and rather try to find a nice chica to settle down with or head down to an area like Venezuela.

Just returned from a quick 5 days in Havana. My last trip was 2001 after 911 primarily because of the changed passport requirements to enter Canada and Mexico. Booked an Airbnb two-bedroom roof top Vedado Casa at $40.00 a night. Traveled solo and had no problem finding a satisfactory evening companion in the $40-60 range. My best and a repeat out of the five-night stay cost the least. Go figure. Thursday, Friday and Saturday were chuck full of selection at most hot spots.

Yes, there have been changes since my last trip but the players are the same. Touts, police, pro's and local girls on vacation. Glad I had a few prior trips to draw some experience from but overall most anyone could repeat my weekend trip. Maybe luck was just on my side which is about time. After many trips to the Philippines & Colombia Havana was a breath of fresh air. The music and more laid back atmosphere is what I missed the most not traveling to Havana.

87 CUC to the American dollar but I also had left over Euros which got a much better exchange at the airport. $25.00 cab ride to Vedado Casa. Received 94 CUC on the street from the local tout and word is the 10% American dollar tax will soon disappear. Still good music and $2. 00-$5. 00 Mojitos in the local or touristy joints.

Yep, safe water is available for sale in a lot of retail stores throughout the city. I usually buy the large bottles along with a smaller one for when I go out.

Also, it would be a good idea to take anti diarrhea meds in case you get hit with Montezumas revenge. Remember when having drinks with ice in it to ask about it being made with bottle water.

Have fun and report when you get back.

Hi,

I don't know Cuba at all and I'd like to ask 2 questions. I'm 60 yo, I'm in a good shape and good looking.

These are my 2 questions:

1) Do girls pay attention to age in Cuba?

2) I'm noticing there are some website renting good furnished apartments. Is it possible to rent an apartment or will I have some problems? I know if you like to reach Cuba you have to live in a "casa particular."

I know well Asia and always I get very good relationship with 20-30 years old girls. But I think Cuba is very different than Asia. I will have 20 free days and I'd like to rent an apartment and to get 2-3 girlfriend experiences.

Thanks for your reply.Hey BH,

I am not familiar with Asia, other than living in Socal there are lots of places with Asian women here. That being said and having been to Cuba many times over the years I don't think you'll have an issue meeting / dating 20 to 30 year old Cubanas.

You don't mention your age so I have to guess you are older, that said if you have some "game" and / or looks meeting gals in the age range you mention and having an GFE experience shouldn't be that hard, IMHO. If by any chance you are a young stud the sky is the limit. Just remember to treat people / women with respect.

As far as renting a place there are many online places to help you on that endeavor. Start by googling "casa particular" and you'll find a bunch of sites there with prices and pixs.

I'd recommend you find something around la Habana Vieja or el Vedado neighborhood. Hope this helps out and don't forget to post your report when you come back.

Back in the time you mentioned, it's expected with the Obama administration advances toward normalizing relations with Cuba that the 10% gravamen on the USD would be history by now.

Fast forward to now and the embargo still is in place, so as far as Cuba is concerned, they can't use USD freely as any other nation can, thereby it cost them more to use USD and so the 10% hit on USD is still in place.

Not many people truly understand the consequences of the US embargo on Cuba.

Hi Mondo,

Thanks for your reply. I'm 60 yo but with good shape and good looking. Can you tell me I can to fuck only prostitutes with my age or freelancers or regular girls too? If I can fuck only pro girls I will reach Asia again.Hi Mondo,

Back between 97 and 01 I was flying into Havana a couple of times a month and even on my days off I would jump on one of our aircraft and go down for 4 or 5 days. I did love that place! Made several post during that period. Posted on some good places to eat. That was my biggest problem about Havana back then. No idea if any of those places are still around.

When out one night with the Captain after flying in there (I believe he must of been 63 or 64 and I had to of been in my late 40's.) and we picked up a couple of girls in their early 20's that took care of us very, very well. Its funny I am doing some packing now and came across some photos of the night. The girl the Capt was with was 10 times better looking than the one I had! I would post them but they are prints.

Just remember, they want your money and are not out to marry you! You can look like you just got hit my a MAC truck and as long as you got money in your pocket it's game on!

Some think he just goes around the board asking questions like this (same or similar) and some think he is not all what is seems.

Does make for interesting reading (well amusing) at times but those in Cuba have been forewarned.

Some think he just goes around the board asking questions like this (same or similar) and some think he is not all what is seems.

Some think he is an albino as he said in Davo he was not out much in the daylight.

Does make for interesting reading (well amusing) at times but those in Cuba have been forewarned.

Some examples.

And he does the same in Brazil LOL.Hey Wicked,

Thanks man, I am not much into this whole trolling thing so when I come to this website or the other one in the states I do solely to either post a review or some helpful info for other mongers and / or gather some intel from other mongers postings.

I guess it's live and learn.

I am planning my second trip to Havana in May. My first trip was back in February with several couples. Although I was able to sneak out one night a find a hook up on the Malecon, I didn't get to do anything else. This trip is for the guys only. I have a house rented in Old Havana about a block from Parque Central.

Where and what is the best approach to finding girls in Havana for 3 guys ages 55-70?

Any online sites to set up dates prior to arriving? I used Colombian Cupid for my recent trip to Medellin. It worked like a charm.

ABSOLUTELY! They have casinos as well! Vegas can't hold a candle to Havana!LOL.

So I've been looking at places to stay at airbnb and I've been asking all the hosts about having girls over and some of them say its fine if they are over 18 but they need to check in with their night guard that registers them.

Are the girls going to be okay with that or do I need to find a place where they don't check the girls in at all?

For your info, whenever someone checks the girls ID that puts the girl in a bind since it can be viewed as prostitution if her ID turns up at a lot of places that's why girls prefer not to have to show their ID's.
Btw, for everybody's info, prostitution is illegal in Cuba.

My suggestion would be to rent an independent apartment where the owner is not able to check who comes and goes, that way you can bring in your gals without any issues about having their ID checked.

Indy appartments go anywhere from 30 CUC daily and up depending on condition and area.

Hope this helps and report back when you return.

P.S., Hey Sammy that was pretty funny.

Is it true that Havana will remove all prostitutes, during high season? If that is true, what month?

P.S., Hey Sammy that was pretty funny.I just got back from Havana and it's a mixed bag with how these girls operate. One girl I picked up on Prada was scared to walk near me and another girl I picked up on the malecon held my hand as we were walking in front of the police with no fear. I MO the girls that sit around in the hooker spots are known by the police and either give the payoffs or are harassed. I've also noticed the police don't hassle Blanca (white) hookers as much as they harass black hookers.

If you are living in a respectable neighborhood the neighbors will snitch if you are bringing in multiple girls, so the casa owner better be checking ID. If it's a more relaxed neighborhood people will mostly mind their business as long as the girls aren't starting trouble.

P.S., Hey Sammy that was pretty funny. Thanks for the information. I'm excited for this trip. Me and my 2 buddies were originally going to Jaco, Costa Rica in 3 weeks but we decided to try something new since we have already been to Costa Rica 4 times so we just changed our flight this week. Although Costa Rica is a blast, it's time to try something new.

From reading all the posts on here, it seems like it will be a challenge. But I am not going to go into Cuba with the same high expectations as of Costa Rica. A lot of the girls in Costa Rica know English so it's easier to connect with them since I don't know much Spanish and prostitution is legal over there so you do not have to worry about the police.

I found a place on Airbnb and told the owner straight up I wanted to bring girls back to party and I told him about the advice of getting a place that doesn't check girls ids or anything and he said that he does check ID but it's for the safety of the house because 70% of the girls steal so ID is needed at first just in case something like that happens to report.

So we are going to book that for a few days and if that doesn't work out like we plan then we'll find another place to stay.

Just go with the flow and don't worry about the ID situation too much. I have stayed at places that check IDs and never had an issue but it is easier to find places that are independent and are not operating as a rental unit. Nevertheless, my last time in Havana was in 2015 so can't comment on whether things have changed since.

I have been robbed in an independent apartment but I think that's a one off. You can swift through my posts to find my story. LOL.

Just returned from my first trip to Cuba. I'm not a rookie as I have traveled all over the world with my job for many years. After all the good info I got from ISG I thought I should at least take the time to give a report. First day. Got in at 5 on a Sunday night. Checked into my casa then took a walk down to the Malacon. Not much there but did get approached by a group of three ladies who proposed a 3 on 1. Messed with them for a bit then started back to my casa. On the way there was an "Angel" standing in the doorway of her casa. Young beautiful and in a nice dress. "0" English and my Spanish was not good enough to get very far so decided to go on my way. Three doors down out comes a Chica "Reina" who speaks good English and has watched my encounter with Angel. She gave me a hard time about my interest in Angel and said I shouldn't give up on her. We walked back and started a conversation with her. She was 18 and had been sheltered from all bad guys. Reina suggested we go around the corner and have a beer. We started to leave and out comes big brother who had heard about our plans. He puts a kibosh on our beer plans and tells Reina to go with me but not Angel. They all argue and finally Angel says she's going anyhow. Now Mom comes out and joins the resistance against our beer plans but Angel decides to go with us anyhow. I'm a non drinker but had a Crystal beer anyway. They chugged theirs down and finished mine too. They suggested we buy some beer and the 3 of us go to my casa. OK. With a little fear on board I agree. We each are carrying 2 beers and walking down the street with them a few meters ahead of me. So obvious!! Get to my casa without seeing any cops. We go in and hit the bedroom with 6 beers. Reina explains to me that Angel has only been with one man and that was when she was 16. She thinks this might be a good time for her to teach Angel how to make a man happy and get some $$s too. So, how much? Reina says 40,15 for her and 25 for Angel. I was pretty sure they were messing with me but said I'm all go!! Angel was nude in 30 seconds and yes she was hot! Both ladies were laughing and I'm still not sure where this is going. Reina expertly removed all of my clothes and gave me a nice deep kiss and then one for my hard dick. She told Angel to get after it but all she did was laugh. I pulled Angel down on top of me and gave her a kiss. Needless to say she had no skill and again all laughter. With encouragement from Reina she started playing with me and also thought this was funny. A little precum and Angel flinched like she'the been stung by a bee. Did not like that stuff. Reina puts a condom on me and convinces Angel to get on board. She actually did board and started wiggling back and forth and of course laughing. Not sexy at all but I must say she looked beautiful sitting on top of me. After a couple minutes this was enough for me and she got off. Reina was on the rag but said she wanted Angel to pay attention while she made me happy with her mouth. Wanted Angel to join, but no way. Put a new cover on and convinced her to do little sucking. Sorry not sexy. After lots of laughter by all, Reina finished the job expertly without cover. After we laid around for an hour or so, and they finished the beer. They left insisting that I stop by and get them later in the week and Angel would do better. What a weird start to my trip but I must say it was very interesting and made me think I was going to have a good time in Cuba.

It gets better as the week goes on and I'll try to give a few of the highlights in another report. Summary is. I can't wait to go back to Cuba!

Following my earlier report on my first day, the rest of the week went very well.

2nd day.

Early morning walked to a nearby park near the University and sat on a park bench. Here I met a 25 y/ o German (very cute) doctor doing a guest internship at the University hospital. Spoke more than 5 languages fluently including English and Spanish. She said Cuban medicine almost on par with Germany, just lack some of the latest equipment. We connected and spent a couple hours talking about her time in Havana and suggestions to me about things to see and do. She invited her Cuban boyfriend to have lunch with us. He too was helpful with information. Verified wages of Cuban doctor at $40 cuc per month. Many moonlight at tourist restaurants to get tips. They work because they like their job and the people they work with and some have family money. Owner of my Casa repaired cash registers for 12 years and made $14 cuc per month. They get by because they have the inherited casa to rent out, but still can't afford any luxuries (no auto). Strolled around the neighborhood in the afternoon. Came across chica sitting on a wall chatting on her phone. I sat down near her and could tell she was talking to a girlfriend and overheard her say a nice looking man had sat down near her (me). I winked at her and said Gracias. She kept talking as if she was talking to her friend but actually was talking to me. She thought I might be the type of guy to party with. I asked her if I could afford her and she laughed and said yes for sure. She said follow me and strolled to a nice private area. Her deal was 20 cuc and if she did a good job I could give her an extra 10. Deal as my Casa was only 2 blocks away. We had lots of fun and she earned the extra 10. I'm thinking this is really fun. Having been a hunter and fisherman all my life I realize I enjoy the "hunt" more than the kill and this Cuba environment was perfect for my desires. Most places mongering has you go to a bar or brothel to find a lady but here you find them right on the street and they don't act like pros (and some aren't). After a short rest and a light dinner (very good chicken dish) I went on another stroll. Passing Hotel Colina I winked at one of the Chicas on the patio. She got up and followed me about a block and I offered her 20 cuc and she was on. Very young (showed me her ID 18 y/ o) and inexperienced (had a 4 month old baby and had a "C" scar) but we had a good time and both of us were happy. Now it was about 8 and I decided to catch up on some sleep.

3rd day.

Made a promise to myself to be "picky" and keep my standard very high as it seemed to be a "target rich" environment. First thing in the morning while walking searching for breakfast I was approached by an older (31) Chica asking me if I was looking for something. When I said breakfast she said "follow me". We went about 2 blocks and indeed the breakfast was excellent. She only had a cup of coffee. After breakfast she asked "what next"? I told her I wasn't interested in sex but a massage might be nice. She said how about 10 cuc for an hour. On to my Casa. I went nude and she kept on clothes. The massage was very good and at the 1/2 hour time she asked if she could take her dress off for comfort. OK. Nice body with boobs larger than I like but in great shape. After 10 minutes of her in her panties she asked if she could show me something. OK. She takes off her panties and shows me the wet cum in the crouch and said she was really turned on. Suggested how about sex for another 10 cuc? Of course she was very experienced and very good at letting me last and really enjoy the situation. I gave her 30 cuc total. Now she says she'td like to take me to Old Havana and see the sights there. We get a 3 wheel bike taxi for 5 cuc and he dropped us off at the capital. After 2 hours touristing we biked back to my Casa. Now about 4 and I'm exhausted so I turn her away and take a 2 HR nap. Great dinner (food in Havana is very good) and stroll down to the Malecon about 7. Meet a chica (21 y/ o) dressed in running clothes with great athletic body and nice face and very white teeth. We chatted and she said she was a track athlete and participated in Cuba national meets as a sprinter. We went and had a pineapple juice at a stand on the street and decided to go to my Casa. It was great! We got nude, cuddled, made-out, joked and laughed and finally had some great sex. Photos emails, phone #'s and she was on her way. Cuba is great! Sorry I'm so wordy and detailed but I'm trying to express my great time on my first visit to Cuba and hope this info might help someone enjoy this place as much as I do. It's payback time for all I learned about Cuba on this site. I'll try to find time to share days 4, 5, 6, and 7. It can't get much better can it?

I'm going to try and cut my stories shorter and just give some highlights and some things I learned about Cuba that might help a first timer.

4th day started by meeting my track athlete at my favorite breakfast place the Nana Cafe which is one block and of the Hotel Libre (great for lunch or dinner too). I forgot I mentioned to her that I would be having breakfast there in the morning, but she was there waiting at 8 am. She said she had arranged for a good friend of her's to take us around to see some sights, 4 hours for 15 cuc. I liked being with her so I took up the deal. After finishing breakfast (juice, coffee, eggs, bacon, toast & toast $3 cuc) she called her friend Carlos and 10 minutes later he was there in a pretty beat up Pontiac. We got in the back seat and the windows were not rolled down. As we started driving I asked if I could roll the windows down so he reached in the glove box and handed me a socket wrench to roll down the windows (the handles were missing) LOL. We saw the normal tourist sites and also the neighborhoods where the "rich" people lived which were very nice houses. Got back to my Casa about 1 and my date wanted to have some fun. Rolled around with her for about an hour (great hard body) and she left with 20 cuc. I'm now out of bullets so I spend most of the day on Avenida 23 taking photos of the best cars and hottest women. Some smiled for the camera. Dinner by myself at BKey on San Lazaro very upscale but reasonable price.

5th day I'm still not much interested in ladies today so I spent about 4 hours down on the Malecon watching and talking with the surf fishermen. I plan in future trips to explore other areas of the country to see if I can find some good fishing on my next trip. If anyone has any info about fishing in Cuba, I'm all ears! I go back up to my photo shoot spot and one of the ladies I shot, stopped and came and asked me what I was doing. Told her I loved Cuban women and was taking photos of the best of the best to take home with me. We chatted a little in English and she showed me photos of her as a professional dancer. She had lots of photos of her in groups performing dancing routines at various clubs. Went and had a beer or soda at a nearby bar. On the way we were walking and talking together and past 2 sets of cops without any problem. I asked her about that and she said they could tell who the problem girls were and left the others alone (they call them "pasenate" translate strollers) We talked for a couple hours and decided to get something to eat. She had a favorite spot and it indeed was very good and cheap. After dinner bought some beer and cola and on to my Casa. After a couple hours of hanging out (it felt like a date), we decided to shower together laughing about whose idea this was. Great sex and fell asleep together and I woke about 10 pm. I promised her I'the contact her again before I left for home. (my last day I borrowed a phone from my Casa owner and called her to say I'd stay in touch by email).

6th day Decide to go by myself to check out the beach near Guanabo for future trips. Got a taxi to agree to take me out there and back for 25 cuc. Many choices of places to stay and play. The beach was pretty nice. Not Hawaii or Cancun but OK. Got back to my Casa and walked up to the park. Met two University students (guys) and talked for about an hour about their life as students. Studying to be a physical therapist and expect to make about 15 cuc / month after getting a 4 year degree. Wow what a different culture. They took me and showed me the casa where Fidel Castro was born. The upper two stories has been modernized and each year the top 20 students at the university get to use the rooms as dorms. Gave them each 5 cuc for their time and they were very happy. They said they only eat one meal a day. Not many fat people in Cuba! That evening walked down and found my ladies from my first night. We bought beer and went back to my casa. Unfortunately my beautiful 18 why / o still was not any good in bed even though she tried harder than the first time. Still had fun with them. Gave them 25 cuc for both of them.

Last day. Casa owner arranged for a friend to pick me up for the airport at 11 am. He arrived on time in a 58 V8 Buick in mint condition. He said he had been offered $40,000 for it but uses it to make a pretty good living. About to leave and my lady who took me to Old Havana shows up and is friends with the Buick owner. She asks if she can ride along to the airport and both I and the driver say Ok. Upon getting to the airport they ask me which terminal I'm at. Duh. Didn't know there was more than one terminal. I'm flying SWA (the best) and they don't know which terminal they fly from. We go to terminal 1.No SWA but find out they are at terminal 2. (check which terminal when you arrive) I get there with plenty of time. I give taxi driver 25 cuc and tip the lady 5 cuc. Good-by Cuba! In the waiting area for my flight there were about 50 US passengers. We all huddled together to compare notes. With no exceptions everyone had a great time and planned to come back again.

Summary. Cuba exceeded all my expectations and I rank it at the top of any country for friendly beautiful sexy women and friendly people in general. Very clean and safe.

P.S. I forgot a funny story part. While walking around one evening I was invited to play dominos with four guys on the street. (They play all over). I tried to refuse but they got me into the game. After a couple minutes they explained that we were playing for money. Ow Shit I'm going to get ripped off. Of course I lost and had to pay. How much? 1 peso National currency which is 4 cents. Also for info the bus fare around the city is 1 peso also.

Fidel Castro was born in Oriente north of Santiago. And nowhere near Guanabo.

Sorry, I'm on newbie to Cuba. Maybe they said Fidel lived there. There is an exhibit on the main floor but I didn't look at it detail and maybe that's all BS too. It's on San Lazaro near Espada.

Although not sure myself, it was prolly the place where he lived while attending La Universidad de la Habana.

Thanks for your great reports.

I spend time in the DR and enjoy it very much. I have been following the Cuba forum as a possible option. You are the 1st guy who made me want to consider changing up. I a afraid of getting pinched for doing something illegal in a foreign country. Did you ever feel this was an issue.Hey Old,

There are a few things you should be aware of when visiting a foreign country. In Cuba's case two things that I would advise you to stay away from bringing are drugs and pornography. Also, as in most countries you travel to, firearms are not allowed.

Other than that, I, would recommend Cuba. Let us know if you go and post your experiences.

Thanks for the nice report. By the way, Fidel was born in Biran, just outside Holguin.

Great reports, I can't wait to get back. Havana has the potential to overtake other very popular Monger destinations.

To answer your questions. Where was my casa? You know you never tell someone exactly where your favorite fishing hole is but I was about 4 blocks north of the University. There are many choices on Airbnb and you have a choice of how much you want to spend. I think anything between the University and the Malecon would be a good safe choice.

Was I ever fearful of getting in trouble or being arrested? I thought about this while I was there and was careful not to do anything stupid or illegal. Winking at girls on the street isn't illegal by itself right? The locals joke that Havana's population is 2 million and 1 million of those people are policemen. They are everywhere and seem to have their eyes open about what goes on around them. I tried talking to several and none spoke any English. I saw several with dogs. The dogs had a wire muzzle on and I think they were used to smell weed or drugs. One evening I watched for about 15 minutes while two policemen with a dog stood by a busy bus stop. As people walked by, every so often the dog would viciously bark at someone walking by. Scared the people "big time". Police made no effort to stop this behavior of the dog so I'm not sure of the purpose of this little game. Periodically it looked like they picked some male passerby, stopped them, and checked their ID. Maybe they were profiling. One afternoon on my way to lunch I was approached by two obvious pros who asked if I was interested in having some fun. I wasn't interested in either of them, and told them so. Looking up I saw a cop walking briskly toward us. I said to them "police" and quickly walked away in the direction of the approaching cop. He passed me without comment and went directly to them. As I walked away I looked back and he was checking their ID's and talking to them. I didn't stick around to see what happened.

One day while on my favorite viewing perch near a busy bus stop and within 40 meters of two policemen, a guy who spoke very good English approached me and asked if I was interested in a Chica. I said maybe and within a couple minutes he brought a very nice looker over and introduced me. We got to the price negotiation and when I said 20 they both gasped with No! He said minimum 40 so I said "you got the wrong guy". Within ten minutes he again showed up with a very decent looker and the same negotiation transpired with the same outcome. I tell this story because after these two encounters the guy went and stood and talked with the two nearby policemen for at least ten minutes. Maybe they were on the take or maybe it was part of a trap to catch "nice guys like me". I'd stay away from any "pimper" as you really don't need their help and it might be a trap.

Some other interesting tidbits of info that maybe has been broadcast before but I'll tell it anyhow. Almost all the old cars operate as taxis. If you go to the curb and wiggle your fingers (like our thumb up for hitchhiking) they will stop to pick you up. You tell them where you're headed and if they are going that direction they let you get in. Many times the car is almost already full but you squeeze in. You give the driver 50 cents cuc for the ride. Standard fare all over the city. I decided this is where Uber got the idea for their company! Also the buses are very nice and they are frequent to all parts of the city. Standard fare is one peso (National) which is 4 cents. Busses are full most of the time but people are very courteous, not like in Central America or Mexico.

I have attached some photos of interest. Photo of the 58 V8 Buick taxi to the airport with the owners of my casa. We have since exchanged several emails and next trip I'm going to deal directly with them. Photo of my taxi driver rolling down the back window with a wrench. Photo of a young chica hitching a ride by a passing taxi for 50 cents. Photo of a policeman with a muzzled dog standing near a bus stop.

P.S. Since returning home I have received emails for two of the Chinas I spent time with. Very intelligently written with some emotion thrown in. I plan to go back in September for a couple weeks and get out of the city.

I wasn't interested in either of them, and told them so..The police are in on the game but they aren't a threat to us. In all my years of going to Cuba I have never had a conversation with a cop, tourists are off limits unless you are involved in drugs. On my trip last month I'm sitting at my favorite outdoor cafe Sofias when a known tout starts a conversation in english. Suddenly two cops appear and ask for his identification, and he complies. The ten minutes they took to run his ID he was talking to me ten feet from the cops. He said he was probably going to go to jail and did I have 80 cuc to pay the cops off. I said I didn't have any deniro. They handcuffed him and he said he would be out in a week. Meanwhile my buddies who had been partying at La Grunge came and I told them what happened. I said it wasn't my problem to help him and they were disappointed. One hour later the tout was back to talking to me at the same spot without the cops. If they spent 10 minutes checking his ID then take him in, why did they release him? Probably a hustle on me to get some cash but the cops couldn't come at me.

Same as some girls can walk with you hand in hand and others hide from the cops. The girls who give the cops pussy and payoffs are allowed to work whereas the hardcore girls who don't pay are run off. I've heard of cops waiting outside of a gringos casa waiting for a girl to come out alone to take her money.

Cuban pimps are the most hands-on guys I've ever encountered and that shit turns me off. I've had pimps actually follow me and the girl from club to club and had no problem making his presence known. One time in La Calqueta club in Santiago de Cuba, I was exiting with a girl. This pimp walks up and he snaps his finger and my date ran over to him to talk for a couple minutes. When she tried to return I waved her away and back to him and went in the club to pull another girl. Cuban pimps don't have any trust in these Cuban girls.

Now in the Dominican Republic pimps got their girls in check and respect the hustle. You will never know they have a pimp as they know how to be invisible.

When me and my boys was there last month, we had a party at our AirBNB casa with about 30 girls, and a cop showed up. I didn't know he was a cop until the next day, when the guys and I was going over the details from the night before, and they told me about who he was, and that he was checking all the girls ID. Didn't really seem like an issue, and everyone got their nut off until about 4 am.

Sounds like someone is promoting Uncle Juans newly refurbished casa in Havana especially since Cuba has not turned out to be the hot tourist destination expected.

I've been traveling to Cuba for 15 years and there is one thing Cuban women fear and that's is police attention.

These type of parties are few and far between in Cuba. There have been major crackdowns in Dom Rep, Thailand, Rio etc so don't think Cuba is going to do a 360.

Remember gentleman that you never want to draw attention to yourself when you are in Cuba.

Just got back from Cuba on Monday. Here is my quick report.

I went with 2 buddies. When we first got there we went for a stroll near the Malecon and met a random local guy who knew English. We asked him if he knew of a bar to go to so he took us to a place called University bar. He knew of some girls and he called them out to hang out with us. We drank a little bit then we took them back to our casa in Nuevo Vadado that we airbnbed which was about 10-15 minutes away. The location sucked but it was a nice area. Our security guy asked for the girls ID and 2 of them didn't have it on them so they had to leave. The guy we met called 2 other girls to come. They were all 7's to me and we had fun with them.

The next night, which was a Thursday, we went to Casa De Musica in since I've been reading that was the hot spot. We got there at 10:30, we found out that we had to buy tickets that were $15 cuc each to get in. When we got inside we saw mostly all tourists which was disappointing. Inside the show started and it was so crowded to tourist that there were people standing up so we couldn't even see the stage. We met another group of guys from the States and they said last time they came 10 years ago this was the spot. We did not see any prospects so we got inpatient and decided to go somewhere else. Outside my friend saw 3 girls and he got one of them while me and my other buddy did not want the other 2. We got home and my other buddy called the girl he had the night before and she called a friend of hers for me and it turned out to be one of the girls from the night before and she had the best natural body I've ever seen. It was a good way to end to disappointing night.

Friday night we decided to try Casa De Musica again. Outside there was a line waiting to get in and it was a bunch of tourist waiting in line. We were deciding what to do next and we met another group of Americans and we told them it sucked and they said to go to La Cecilia. We had to pay a $10 cuc door fee for each person. Inside there were tables and a stage just like Casa De Musica. In the back were working girls, about 20 of them waiting to get your attention. The other group that we met outside of Casa De Musica asked me if this was a brothel. I thought that was funny because I thought they knew what they were getting themselves into. Everyone eventually left with someone. Me and my buddies were looking for a Club to meet girls instead of these places with shows but were in no luck. Also we had to take separate cabs from the girls we had back to our place.

The next night we were planning to go to Frabica De Arte Cubano but when we got there they said it was closed for a month due to remodeling. We stopped at a place called Rojo Salon and they were trying to charge us $35 cuc each to get in because they had a reggaeton artist performing so we ended up going to La Cecilia again. It was less girls that night then the night before and I only saw 1 girl that I liked but she was with a group of older gentlemen. One of my friends got a girl that was friends with her and she told me she was just spending her time with them, not sex. So I took her home. The bad thing about her was that she was the only one who gave me a BJ with a condom which I hated. Plus when we were banging, she was breathing heavily with some wheezing LOL.

Sunday night which was out last night we wanted to go to a bar. 2 of my friends called up previous girls that they had. We stopped by a couple of new places, saw the guys that we met at Casa De Musica and they said they went to a place called St Johns the night before and on the 14th story they had a bunch of girls. Wish we knew about that place.

So ended up at a nice club called Fantasy. It was an exact place we've been looking for the whole trip. A nice club with good music and girls all around. I found me a nice quiet beauty with a nice body. We stayed there for a couple of hours and went home and had fun. On the way home we were about to take 2 taxis home but for some reason we took 1. So we had 3 guys and 3 girls in the car plus the taxi driver. About 3 minutes from the club, a police car stopped us. The girls were scared as hell. The taxi driver got out and went to talk to the officers for a few minutes and came back. The cops did not come to see who was in the car. When the taxi driver came back he said that he had to tip the 2 cops $10 each so we reimbursed him for that.

It was a fun trip. I would put this as my favorite trip I've been on. One thing about Cuban girls. They are very passionate in the bedroom. They also like to take there time. I never felt rushed and I paid ahead of time. Yes you need to know Spanish. Especially numbers. We could not find a place to exchange our money for a good rate, we had to go to those quick exchange places which gave us 87 cuc to 100 US. The girls can be had for 40-120 cuc and they stayed until the early morning hours. Well for me and my buddies they did. We are in our early 30's and decent looking so that might have played a role.

I definitely will be back in a couple of years or so. The only thing that really sucked was there was no internet. Had to look for parks that had wifi, which they sold 1 hour internet cards for 3 cuc. The food wasn't all that great but we did go to a nice place called El Bacon Restaurante & Bar. It had some delicious entrees.

Probably the next time we go, we would find a place closer to the action because we spent a lot on taxi and research more clubs that we were like Fantasy.

I think you went to Casa de musical in Miramar because the one in Havana was closed when I was there last month. It's funny because you were exactly where the spots are but missed them. St John on the 14th floor is our hangout (check Grownman boom boom room in the DR section) for his Cuba reports that are recent. St John's is 500 feet from "La Grunge" , "Tikoa" and Sofias cafe which is our area. Sounds like you did okay for a newbie so you might want to go sooner than two years from now so you can build on your first experience, things change quickly in Cuba. I get 95 for new 100 bills, my casa doesn't screen guests and we pay 20-40 for girls, but you have to be a regular visitor. Again, thanks for the report.

I have been traveling to Cuba on and off for about 12 years but haven't been down there for about two years and everybody knows how quickly things can change down there. I typically end up splitting my time between picking up girls in the street, socializing over afternoon beers in the cafes and doing some of the more expensive clubs at night I will end up spending between 25-80 bucks depending on the venue and the chica, but while the streets and th cafes seem to be largely stable the club scene changes all the time. I have frequented Salon Rojo, Sofias, The place next to Zorillos, La Cecilia, El Johnny, Dos Gardenias, Casa de la Mucia, Don Cangrejo, LE Maison. Some of the places around the Jazz Cafe and even occasionally the Riviera (although I heard it's pretty dead now). I know there are some new places to see and although I can ask the taxistas when I get there I put more credence in the information I get from my brothers, so I'm hoping you guys might be able to add some of the newer places that are becoming good places to pick up. I've gone back 6 months in posts but there isn't a lot of discussion about new clubs in that time, so I'm hoping that some of you guys might be able to throw out some names and general descriptions of places I might like to see. Indoor or outdoor venues. I will be going down in 2 weeks and will report back what I find. Thanks guys!

The biggest loss is Casa de musica in Havana. The place was huge with a 20 piece live band. The girls were aggressive and over priced but it was still a good place to suck up Cuban culture.

The hotel down the street from casa de musica, Deauville has a disco in the basement that has girls.

Havana 61 in Havana vieja is the preppie upscale spot to eat and watch videos but no hardcore girls mostly non pro.

La Cabana in Havana vieja has music all day, is on a corner to people watch, and has good food. Within 200 feet walking toward the malecon from La Cabana is three outdoor bars that girls pass by.

La Rampa has the ghetto ass Tikoa, La grunge, St John's, and assorted bars but ask a local because the venues change nightly.

It's going to be hot when you go so everyone will be hanging on the malecon. Also in July they close a portion of the malecon for music festivals.

The key is having a local to school you on the scene, saved me a lot of time learning from them.

Don't know how old you are, nonetheless if you are game and have some (game) try La Esencia.

I visited la Habana this past January / February and even though I didn't make it inside this place I was told it's happening at the time in la Habana by a local that I get info from when I visit.

Read my post (# 4516) for additional info on place and address.

Report back if you make it to this place.

If it is the same place I'm thinking of the cab driver drove us by. Big line outside. I was trying to decide the average age of the people in line. Seem like a mixed bag of 30's or younger. What is the legal drinking age for hard liquor?Hey Pilot,

Yep, you saw the typical crowd at La Esencia. FYI, this is the in place for the up and coming nuveau rich in la Habana. They even have "happy hour" time a la USA style, LOL.

BTW, Cuba has no restriction on drinking, so as long as you have the dough, you are good.

While it's true there is no legal drinking age in Cuba, you (theoretically) must be 16 to buy it.

I've NEVER seen ANYONE asked for their ID before buying alcohol in Cuba. If you have the dough then you're good to go.

I'll summarize it with this quote;.

"the sale of rum is widespread in Cuba and I never heard that someone was asked his age. In practice the Cubans are flexible with this rules. Said one Cuban jokingly, the moment you can open a bottle in Cuba. You can drink. ".

Things are changing rapidly here. Staying in Vedado near la Rampa. Salon Rojo appears to be closed permanently now, but does open for special events. La Cecilia also appears to be closed, although this is less thn 100% verified. The taxistas just say they don't remember it being open lately. Definitely closed Saturday though. Dropped back from there to Casa de la Musica Miramar. Huge Amermrican presence, mostly from New York, guys and girls. So many that they drove the working girls out into the street, literally. Too many squares in the club for the girls to make a inside. They were clearly unhappy. Tikoa still has too many kids but Sofia's is good. Lots of street action, not so much on the Malecon. St, John's appears to have picked up the slack where Salon Rojo left off. 5 CUC entry also gets you a free drink. Drinks are small and cost too much, but 100% P4 P inside, and prices for girls much lower than they used to be at Rojo. No roblem getting girls out for 40 CUC. A few girls at Gato Tuerto but not really a mongering spot. Street price holding steady at 30 CUC.

Her Mr G.

I've explained this before, I'll do it one more time.

To eliminate the 13% gravamen on the USD the embargo has to be lifted.

BTW, it's not actually 13%, it's 10% since ANY currency you bring into the country gets a 3% exchange tacked on when when you do the transaction.

So, Just so you understand without the embargo being lifted there won't be a change to eliminate this 10% gravamen.

Yeah, I too would love to see this 10% eliminated and soon. It's not in anybody's best interest to have this go on.

Mondo.Hey Mondo,

With airline prices so high for the DR (just returned from there yesterday) I will probably sneak in a Havana trip soon because prices are 250 usd.

I thought last April an agreement was reached that once Cuba completed a few international transactions that the ten percent penalty on American dollars would be lifted? They find ways around the embargo, just like they did for travel. I thought the penalty was Castros response to being alienated from international banking. So it's not really the embargo that prevents Castro from lifting the penalty. The embargo doesn't state that American dollars must be taxed ten percent.

I could be wrong but that was my understanding.

Mr Gogo

'Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez said Thursday that Cuba had decided to do away with a 10 percent penalty Cuba charges on exchanges of USA Dollars but only if new USA Banking measures allow improved Cuban access to the international banking system.

The new rules make it clear USA Financial institutions will be able to process cash, travellers checks and other USA Dollar-denominated monetary instruments indirectly presented by Cuban financial institutions and that correspondent accounts at third-country financial institutions used for such Cuban transactions may be denominated in USA Dollars.

Rodriguez said in the next few days Cuba would try to make dollar transfers through third-party banking institutions and if they prove successful and don't result in sanctions against the banks, Cuba would eliminate the 10 percent surcharge."

Its the Cubans who are responsible for the ten percent tax.

Was wondering if you can help. I've got a week off unexpectedly and have decided to go to Havana before Trump closes the door again. Also I have been to DR many times and want something new rather than the rat race in Sosua or flying all the way to Asia to the Philippines or Thailand.

Anyway I don't even know where to start with Havana. I see I can fly there now from Miami no problem (I am American). But I am lost on what to do next. Specifically:

*Recommend a hotel / place to stay with wifi, close to the action (SW first / clubs second).

*Anyone have a recommended driver? I want to see some of the historical sights without trying to figure out public transport.

*Where are you exchanging money?

*STD's a problem in Havana in general? Although I always use a condom a BBBJ is something I would like.

*How are you getting back and forth from the airport.

Any other relevant info is appreciated.

I promise to write an excellent report when I return as I always do.

Thanks.

I've booked an Airbnb apartment for a week. Have only seen lackluster reviews of hotels and Airbnb has many choices, all over the city. The renters often give indications in the descriptions of whether they are agreeable for "visitors" to come back to your place. Read a few and you'll see what I mean.

Another benefit of Airbnb is that they almost all offer to have you picked up at the airport.

According to the earlier posts, there is some question on the 10% penalty for changing US dollars. If you have time to wait, the problem might go away. That's what I'm hoping.

Just Recently got home from Cuba and it was the first time I've taken the plunge in international waters. Let me tell you it might seem like you'll have to go somewhere specific but it was way easier than I ever expected. Me and my friend were walking down Obispo (popular street with many bars) and I literally walked up to a random local who was giving bike carriage rides and I said "Donde esta las chicas. " immediately the guy knew exactly what I was talking about and he took me to this smaller bar two blocks off of Obispo. As I waited there he sent his friend to bring back two girls to see if we were interested in them. We were just looking for something easy so he brought back two 7/8 out 10 dark skin girls. After that he told us we had pay for a room which was 20 cuc. I only want a BJ so it cost me an additional 40 cuc. The girl was amazing took about 15 minutes and I was on my way.

The next day I went back out looking for some more fun on Obispo and I happened to run into the friend who brought the girls to us the night before. He took me to the same bar and this time he asked if I wanted a black, mulatto or white girl. Something the guy the night before didn't ask. I said I wanted to try either white or mulatto this time and a few minutes later the most beautiful girl I've seen in this line of work walked up to my table. We talked for a bit, I bought her a mojito and we went back to her building. She was amazing, a spinner with some be perky breasts and a nice round ass I wanted the full experience and it cost another 20 cuc for the room and 80 for the FS. I popped after 10 minutes and I begged her to go again, she let me have a second round after I gave her another 10 cuc.

All I have to say is WOW and I highly recommend spending time in Havana. If you are looking for fun just talk to the locals and you will find so many of the girls are in this line of work. A tip would be to specify what type of girls you are looking for (white, black or mulatto) and to determine the price before you go in. And bring your own protection. I was charged 20 cuc for a pack of 3 condoms. At first it will seem sketchy going into these dark small apartments with people around you speaking a different language but all the people there are just looking for some extra money and both of my experiences were really safe.

Go to Cuba while you can before the current administration fucks it all up.

For more risk takers I'd suggest to google "casa particular" or Cuban Junky and you'll find lots of places to peruse and it'll be cheaper than Airbnb.

2nd, don't wait for the 10% gravamen to go away anytime soon. Not before your trip anyway. Cuba's government will not drop it until they can freely use USD, and that won't happen till the embargo is dropped.

Having said those 2 things, just enjoy your trip and report back your adventures both good and bad when you get back.

Showdown.Hey Show,

I'll mention a couple of things and maybe by RTFF you can figure out the rest.

To exchange USD you go to a cadeca or a bank. You'll get the official rate which is for 100 USD you get 87 CUC. (CUC is the official currency visitors use).

If you have a connection you can get up to 97 CUC or sometimes 1 to 1 but you a need connection for that to happen. Also, you might take a chance on the streets but I wouldn't chance it if I were you.

As far as STD's the rate is low, but again, if you use a hat that wouldn't be an issue, and as far as BBBJ, in my case I wouldn't be worried about it, just my take.

The standard fare from the airport to downtown Habana is 20 CUC. There are lots of private and state cabs outside the airport terminal. You want to make sure to discuss the rate before you get in the cab. If it's a state cab it might be more expensive, I do not have knowledge on those, maybe someone can chime in on that.

Remember to exchange some currency in the terminal before catching a cab since other countries currencies won't help you to pay for the cab. There is a cadeca before you exit the terminal.

If you want to check historical sites or take a trip somewhere you can hire a cab to take you there or go by bus (pretty good buses) google "Viazul" and this way it's a lot cheaper than hiring a taxi, so it's up to you which way to go. Usually around La Rampa there are lots of taxis and inside the Habana Libre hotel they sell tours to different historical sites. Last time I went (February) I got a rate of between 60 to 70 CUC for 8 hours in la Habana, if outside the city it will be higher.

One more thing I only carry enough money to last me for the day and don't flash too much cash around, not that someone is going to hold you up or anything just a precaution I use anytime I travel anywhere.
BTW, before I leave for my trip from home I make a copy of my passport and once I arrive at the casa / hotel I stash my passport in the safe and only take it out when I need to exchange currency, that way there's no chance of it getting lost / misplaced. Also, when you exchange currency that's the time you need the passport with you otherwise you'll not be able to do the transaction. I only carry a copy of my passport, unless I'm exchanging money.

One more thing, 2 things to avoid when going to Cuba are porno and drugs. So, if you take any of those and get caught at the terminal when going thru security you prolly will be sent back to where you came from.

Hope this will help you out and like you promised make sure to write a report when you get back.

Mondo pretty much summed it up, good shit. It's going to be super hot in Havana for the next two months so be prepared. A portion of the malecon will be closed for free concerts.

The old car taxis are cheaper and negotiable. I like the old fiat taxis over the bigger and shakier old American car's.

Be sure to report back.

Also the airport guys will stick to 25 cuc from the airport to Havana in a newer air conditioned yellow taxi. Some are 20 cuc but it will be the old car taxi that won't have cold air.

Also no one has compiled a list of clubs and massage parlors. Is it best to find a reliable (if there is such a thing) taxi driver and ask him?

Right at the start of the Malecon there's a long street with a plaza in the center going down called Paseo del Marti. Lots of young women sitting on the stone benches will whistle and cat call you. You're supposed to go meet them off to the side so the cops don't see. That's the closet I've seen to SWs in Havana. No hooker outfits. Most of the time no makeup because they can't afford it. I've also had women open up their windows as I pass by a residential building and they would holler: 'Hey beautiful!

I know Havana very very well, and places like All of Old Havana / Esp near Obispo, Prado, Malecon, La Rampa, etc are good spots to meet working girls. I am curious, though:

1. How much have you all been paying and for what services?

2. Also, do you find that BBBJ is common or uncommon?

I am trying to get a general idea of prices and whether BBBJ is common.

So, please, ALL OF YOU chime in!.

Thanks in advance and will report back post-trip!

Had a couple of days of Turista, so that cut into my time quite a bit, and I was afraid to move around too far for 2 days, which sucked, but can confirm that Casa de la Musica is indeed better during the week with no US weekend crowd. Went to Don Cangrejo for the first time in a long time too. I was shocked when they told me the entry was $25 CUC, but I had my first timer friend with me and we wanted to go so paid it. Havana Club girls with free samples just inside the door. Live music started even later than it used to at 1:30 am, but the club was full of gorgeous girls. Staring price was $100-120. Snort. Guffaw. Chortle. I'm afraid I might have laughed too hard and she stalked off and then I became persona non grata to her little circle of friends. My wing pulled a girl for $60 but I left empty handed. One interesting piece of info was that a couple of the girls said that when they don't work Don Cangrejo they work at the Tocororo club, which is one that I don't know. If anyone knows about it or can check it out would love to hear about it. These were really good looking girls and I'm betting prices are much better where the guy doesn't have to subsidize the ridiculous entry fee. Of course it was a special event night, but still.

As a side note the Capri is now selling internet cards at $1. 50/ HR, which is decent. El Litoral still makes an excellent meal and the California Cafe makes a pretty decent meal relatively cheap (tropical shrimps excellent). Water issues all over Vedado at the moment.

The current USA President has decided to announce his new Cuban policy on June 16-2017. Its the location (Miami) that should have us a little worried about this new policy. He wants to make his announcement before the South Florida Miami Cubans. Don't expect anything good but let's hope he doesn't chop the tree completely down.

From a logistics stand point I like the direct flights for 200 usd, before I had to sneak in from Grand Cayman islands for 450 usd. Before I had to worry about my passport being stamped and being questioned by customs in Miami, now I'm worry free and getting my passport stamped is no problem. Before violating the embargo was never enforced, will it be after Friday?

Actually the few amateur gringos I do see now aren't a problem, because there are so few as we speak. I see your point though; preserve it for the few who appreciate what it has to offer.

I have to agree with you as far as us mongers is concerned, before all the changes, specially since before 12/14 things were a lot better for us mongers.

I have to say if you look at things from a Cubanos / as perspective the majority of them would like normal relations with the USA since there have been some improvement for lots of them.

I agree with you as far as getting there before 12/14 and how much easier it's now as far getting in and out not to mention the cost involved. My last trip I hopped on at LAX (Alaska Air has now direct flights from LAX) and was at Jose Marti Internacional in less than 5 hours! Also, all this convenience for $320 round trip! Yeah, I got a sweet deal since they were just starting this route, I think now its around $400 round trip, still not bad for the convenience.

As far as getting thru customs, I never had an issue although back in 2013 coming back from Cancun had to go thru customs in Dallas / Fort Worth and the customs officer asked me "where I'd been" told him straight out in my declaration card both Mexico and Cuba, he gave me a dirty look and said, don't you know you are not supposed to go there?" Just told him straight out that I thought this was a free country so what's wrong with going to Cuba. After this he just gave me a dirty look and went thru my bag but that's the end of it.

One more thing, just in case the Cuba policy gets reversed, which knowing Trump's MO, he can prolly talk his way into blaming the Cubans for his policy change, I suggest you do not lie while going thru customs coming back. I have a friend that was caught lying and he got himself in trouble and had to hire a lawyer to avoid a possible 10 grand fine! (this was back in 2008).

Any suggestions on what area of Havana would be best? Old Havana, Vedado, Miramar?I just got back from a 5 day trip to Havana and had an amazing time. This was maybe my 40th time there and as usual I was not disappointed. The restaurants get better and better but some prices are inflated by dumb tourists over-paying. WE stayed in an upscale Casa near the Playa in Miramar; with a pool and bar. We paid a bit more but still much less than a room at the Melia Havana. Had no issues with guests and music. Great Sex, Imported Booze and Cuban Cigars a plenty. Near a main street so np with getting taxis or private cars.

For those who go to or have gone to Havana regularly --what's written below is not for you.

I have been going to Havana since 2002 and it has changed a lot in those years. Used to be that you rented a cheap car and cruised the streets or Malecon and swarms of Chicas would hop in for a 'ride'! Although there are still times and spots this will happen its far to risky driving there and chicas of quality are rare this way. There are always the Clubs and Bars; but there also many ask for a lot of dineros and typically not the GFE experience you expect. In addition, the Casa's you used to get for 25-50 cuc are now double and some have rules not allowing fun and games. What I suggest for Newbi travellers today especially if you don't speak much Spanish is to hook up with an experienced guide. They have contacts for restaurants, casas, taxis that won't rip you off and entertainment. Once you've experienced the true flavour of the city you can always go back on your own with or without the guide. For me; I don't mind spending the extra few cuc per day.

If anyone wants a good contact I can recommend one if you pm me.

Man, I recognize the place you stayed at! I stay about a block away from there (twin buildings) Wanted to ask you about the restaurant you mentioned since I've seen it but haven't set foot in it. What kind of food is it? Cubano home cooking or cubano fast food? I usually go to the place on "M" called La Roca, OTD with dessert and 1 beer for less than 5 CUC, typical cubano food menu sans the platanos maduros and short on the black beans but otherwise ok.

What was the damage for the rental? Was this an indy apartment or a room?

If I was in Canada or had access to Loonies for sure I'd take 'them, however if I needed to exchange 'them then I'd just take USD. When I go I take USD and exchange 'them around 94 or 96 to the USD.

You prolly don't have a connection there so you'd need to do this on the streets and take a chance which in my opinion is not worth it for the risk you take.

First let me say since your moniker is Tx I take it that you're from TX, right? Well if you are not then my apologies, LOL.

I would NEVER walk up to a non pro Cubana and prop her since most likely she'd slap me silly, not recommended on this corner.

I'll give you my take as far as some of what you ask. In Cuba prostitution is illegal and most of the ones that do it (except for the hard core putas, yes, there are those too) do it to "resolver" (make ends meet) and are not looked down the way it would be less say here in the states.

If you are looking for hard core Jineteras then yes I think it'd be possible although lately with the influx of American "tourists" their prices keep creeping up.

Now, I would be willing to bet that most mongers here go to Cuba for a different experience and to meet not some hard core Jinetera but a Cubanita that's doing this as a side to make ends meet for her and her family and a lot of times if the chemistry is there you end up with a wonderful GFE experience that would last as long as you live. At least that's what I hope for when I visit.

So, to summarize I'd say try to approach your visit this other way and maybe you'll enjoy it more, just saying.

Anyway, enjoy your trip and when you come back let's know the good and the bad.

What's sad is I might expect such behavior from a young inexperienced guy but not from a 50 plus guy. We are very blessed individuals to be able to travel to other countries and experience their women, all these countries ask is that we respect their culture and be somewhat discrete.

If you really want to advance yourself just practice learning the local language and dance, it's that simple, but guys are lazy and want naked girls welcoming them at the airport wanting to fuck for free.

Rapid fire guys like that are doing themselves a disservice and don't even know it. It's more gratifying for me to make it a mutual satisfying experience and not just P4P. This way you get a session that is more natural and not strictly business. It's the difference between a girl wanting to fuck you instead of a girl needing to fuck you.

Mondo.I'm looking for something very specific. No 18-24 year old is going to have much in common with a 50+, so P4P is a given. I'm looking for an intellectual chica to provide a physical, emotional and intellectual experience. The purpose of the payment is to jettison social skill demands. I intend to throw in a laptop, English lessons and tutoring in mathematics, statistics and / or computer science for the chica that spends 10+days with me. On my last trip, I seemed to have better luck offering a bounty for people to network for me. Now that I think about it, offering a bounty to a chica asking if has a friend or relative interested in my proposition is less insulting that directly propositioning. If she is interested, she would likely just say "pick me". Success is the goal. If I don't have success, the cleaning girl from the last casa I stayed at is interested. I liked the straightforwardness of that cleaning girl who made it clear that she was offering me a fantasy, not a relationship.

You need to bring your passport only when you are doing it legit, in other words when you go to a Cadeca, a bank or at the airpot.

Be careful since when you are doing it on the streets it's illegal and on top of that you might be taken advantage of by having more to lose that whoever is doing the deal with you. Also, there have been reports of counterfeit CUC, so be carefull.

Just invite them over for dinner or rum. I also have taken the mobile phone chargers you can get and give them that gift. That has worked great. Those cost over $100 there.Really! I have a 4 yr old laptop that I don't want anymore that I planning as a gift that would bring about $200 if I sold it on Ebay. There's a driver I know in Santa Clara that charges me 1 CUC for every two kilometres, I was thinking of hiring him as a wing man. The spot I had in mind was a bus stop in front of a university.

Let us know how that goes, I might want to try Havana a second time. It has been two years next month from my last visit.

Hey Ramone,

No way. Do not bring your passport if you are exchanging money on the street. You only need your passport to exchange money in the bank. Otherwise leave it in your room. Thanks for your help BlackLexus and Mondo707!

If anyone wants a good contact I can recommend one if you pm me.Thanks for your advice.

I am just wondering what is the age range of those non-pro prostitutes in Havana. I read somewhere that the age of some of prostitutes there is lower than 18. Is this true?

I am just wondering what is the age range of those non-pro prostitutes in Havana. I read somewhere that the age of some of prostitutes there is lower than 18. Is this true?Always. Always. Always photograph their ID (Carnet). If you take the chica's word for it and she happens to be under 18, the penalty is 8 years in prison. Also, referring to a non-pro as a prostitute or jinetera could very well result in her walking away and wanting to have nothing to do with you. The word you are looking for is companion or compañera.

What? Are you serious? That's crazy AF (as fuck)!. OK I'm blown now. Wow!Actually it's not a bad idea but he didn't think it through. Unlike in other places Cuba doesn't have wifi connection in most places and the places that do have it is expensive. So girls in Cuba aren't spending all day on social media and the internet so their batteries shouldn't need a charge for the phone. Now if it's an older phone the battery is just going bad so a charger won't really help.

Someone suggested an old laptop but without the internet it's not that glamorous. I get dresses at the flea market for 5 usd and bootleg perfume and the girls go crazy over this.

Someone suggested pulling at a bus stop in front of the university and I'm against a gringo trolling a bus stop looking like a desperate monger. Even though the girls need money they don't want their friends and fellow students knowing they are tricking. Probably best to team with a Cuban guy who can talk for you and arrange things at a public high profile spot like the university. I have pulled a college girl near the university but it wasn't an easy task. First she wasn't keen on talking to a gringo so we spent 30 minutes sitting next to each using the WiFi we just purchased. Then I played dumb and she helped me log back in. I finally started a conversation and she said she doesn't drink or party. Another 30 minutes went by with her ignoring me as I had given up. She got up to leave and I brought up the conversation about the dresses and showed her the video and her eyes lit up.

We walked to my crib and I keep all the dresses folded neatly on the bed to see the surprise in the girls eyes when they walk in. She picked one and she went home with a meet for dinner later in the evening. She was worth the wait and she hit me yesterday on IMO asking for 10 cuc. I told her I will be there in a few days and I have more than 10 cuc for her.

My point is you got to get lucky and set things up smoothly. It might take some time to get these non pro girls to loosen up, usually a gift and dinner. Outside of Havana everything lightens up but while in Havana remember everyone is watching.

I'm definitely buying some perfume from the Dollar Store / Flea Market & buying a few cheap dresses sounds like a good idea. Did you change all of your $ in CADECAs? Thanks for the info Mr. Gogo.I've got a very good spot in Habana to exchange money for .95-.98 on the American dollar. It took three trips and a good hookup to get this connection with crisp 100 dollar bills being the premium. Everything in Cuba is done through connections, its hard going solo and be tuned into the local scene. The clubs rotate, they open and close regularly so that connection can save you some time and point you in the right direction. The girls are plentiful but you might need that connection to make the intro to get into her group. The connection has access to casas that are low-key and don't advertise on the internet. Me and Grownman go to spots with our connection where we are the only foreigners.

As far as the street black market never let your money go where you don't. The guy counts the money out in front of me then we do the exchange, none of that I will be back be shit. One time we were with a Cuban friend and he took us to this huge mansion by the airport. They were rich guys but they had no American deniro for an upcoming shopping spree in Miami (CUC are not accepted in the States) so they gave us one to one on the dollar. I only exchanged 300 usd because I didn't want to do a big deal and when I ran out the next day the guy was already in Miami so I went to my guy in Havana and he gave me. 92 because I only had 20's and no 100's.

I was there on New Years and the hotels ran out of money and guys on the street dropped to. 90 sensing our desperation so if its a holiday don't wait till the last minute. Hope this helps.

Hello everyone,

Longtime lurker. First trip report. I want to give a shot out to Grownman who has been a big help who provided me his Cuban brother Alex contact information. Wait until you see him again Gman. He dyed his beard blond to look like a tourist. LOL I also want to give a shout out to all who provided trip reports in the past. It's hard work keeping track of what you did LOL. I'm not a writer but I will tell you my experiences. I went to Havana, Holguin and Santiago the first week of July. It was hot like everyone said but I wouldn't say it was any hotter than Panama and Thailand in July. Except for the last two days in Cuba. It was so hot that the locals were complaining LOL.

I booked my flight on United airlines. I contacted Alex a week before I flew out. He told me to email him my flight details and how many days I needed an apartment for. I was staying in Havana for 4 nights and then fly out to Holguin. He found an independent apartment for $40 a night. I will try to upload some photos. I was flying out of Newark, NJ with a straight flight to Havana. Arrived at the airport on a Saturday and went to the end of the airport where they were issuing the Cuban visa which cost $75. They didn't ask no questions. (Just like Grownman said they wouldn't) Just showed my passport, purchased the visa, checked my bag and off I went. This was the first time where I seen an airline charging to watch movies. Luckily I already had some movies downloaded on my Ipad. Flight was about 3. 5 hours long. Touch down and exited the plane. The sun was strong and when you entered the building it was like Antarctica. Now, there are two conveyor belts. What the airlines failed to mention is to check both conveyor belts for your bag. Its not like in the US where its digital and tells you the flight number and what carousel your bag is on. We were all waiting at one belt for a while and then I saw someone check the other belt and found their bag. So I decided to do the same and sure enough my bag was on the other belt. Meanwhile, I called Alex and he assured me that he was still outside waiting but when I went outside I couldn't find him so I called him and finally found him. Real cool peeps. I haven't received my cell phone bill yet but I know its going to be ugly.

Hopped in Alex in ride which was an old box shape car. I couldn't tell what it was but he was telling me he was going to sell it. We left the airport and took about 25 minutes to get to the independent apartment. Which was about 2 blocks from the Capitol. When we got there. There was a beautiful white girl standing at the doorway. I asked Alex was that the owner of the apartment and he said yes. I fell in love at first site. Her name was Denisse but everyone called her Deni. I told Alex if he found me something like that. I wouldn't be going home empty handed. We take the elevator up to the 5th floor where the apartment was. She showed me around the apartment. I loved it. It was perfect. The only downside is that it didn't have a safe but I was cool with that. I know how to keep my things safe. Never had a issue with anyone stealing. Alex had to go run an errand and he told me he would catch up with me later. So I paid him for the ride from airport and he left. I stayed talking with Deni for like an hour. I was so falling in love with her until she broke my heart and said she was married LOL. She even drew a map of the area which was pretty accurate. I paid her for 2 nights because there was a little mix up with the amount of nights I was staying. Alex sworn he told her 4 nights but she thought it was only for 2 nights. She was one of the nicest people I have met. If I had any problems she told me to call her no matter what the time. She even had money to exchange for dollars but it was at the bank rates which absolutely killed me on this trip. The next time I would be Canadian dollars which would be better.

From the map she drew I was able to found the store and walked to area where the WiFi is. In Cuba, WiFi is only certain places. Its not everywhere like other countries. She told me it was possible to find a WiFi card for $3.00 CUC but I can only find one for $5. 00 CUC. Which had a username and password on the paper card and it was only good for 1 hour. For some reason my Skype would not work. So I could my fam at home to let them know I made it to Cuba safely. I bought a couple bottles of water which was a $1.00 CUC per bottle and a couple of bottles of Presidentes. Cristal was the local beer but I wasn't ready to try it yet. Got back to the apartment. I was going to dress up but decided to keep what I had on and get ready for the night. I was so excited. Alex already told me it was cost me between $5 - 10 CUC to go to Sofia's restaurant using one of the old cars. Here is where I encountered my first deceit in Havana or at least I thought. I will continue tomorrow.

Very good beer it is.

Lex.Yes to post photos they must be small, like about 300 pixels or whatever you call it, what I do is I downloaded a simple app and take my photo and it re-sizes them down to this size. Once you get the hang of it it goes fairly quick.

We would love to see some of your photos. Please!

I am thinking about taking some dresses and perfume with me to Havana in a couple of weeks. What size dresses do I need to take? Any other suggestions on what to take? Two years ago on my first trip I teamed up with a veteran Cuba monger, he has been visited all of Cuba for the past 12 or 14 years and travels twice a year, well each time he brings one suitcase full of inexpensive blouses, dresses, panties, two-piece bikini, perfumes and fashion accessories. He buys this stuff all whole sales at close-out auctions, like on ebay and let me tell you he trades with the girls, they love it. He showed me his whole operation, when the girl got back to our casa he would let them pick out some items.

For sizes it is mainly small / petite and medium (ie sizes 2, 4 and 6). Don't forget the fashion accessories, these are just as important as dresses for the girls, and these accessories do not cost much (ie $3 USD give or take each). Again he bought stuff by the lot on eBay and stored it in his garage until his next trip. Oh he also has connections in Cuba, boutique clothing stores that he sells these same item to which pays for all his travels 100%, I went with him a few sales trips.

Report back please.

Please help.I was in Havana in February and going back in two weeks. I use "support for the Cuban people" In February and this trip, taking goodie bags of soap, shampoo, lotion and candy to give out to people. Also will take cloths and jewellery for the chicas. The "people to People" category seems to be the one where they are more strict. But someone else may know better than I. I'm not sure if they will ask for proof of visiting a relative or not. In my case, if they do, I show them the stuff I am bringing to help the Cuban people.

So I took one of the old cars to Sofia restaurant. The driver told me it will cost me 10 CUC. When we arrived I asked if he change for a 20 CUC. He said yes and handed me 10 but at that time I didn't know he gave me 10 CUP. I went into Sofia's restaurant. At first I'm saying to myself where is the club because people were talking about listening to music but the only music I heard was from the live band. I was hungry so I order grilled chicken and rice and salad. Which is my favorite plus you can't mess up chicken LOL After I finish eating I asked the waitress about the club. She said it's downstairs but its closed. Later I figured out that Sofia's restaurant is like ground zero where the chicks who are working are walking up and down the street past Sofia's. I heard about Tokoa's so I walked over which is like 10 feet away. I went downstairs and paid 5 CUC. No one was there. It's like 11 pm. Just me and the bartender. So I order a cristal beer. Not bad but I went to pay the girl with the 10 that the driver gave me and she said this is no good. I was like what you talking about Willis?? She explained that I had 10 CUP which is like 40 cents not 10 CUC. I'm like that bendejo! He got me for 10 dollars basically. After I paid for my beer. I started thinking back from earlier in the day. When I went to get water and beer. I was walking back to my apartment and I was hungry. There was a sandwich shop on the way. Now the prices on the board said 10 for a big sandwich and 5 for a small sandwich. I wanted a small sandwich because I didn't know how it will taste. I handed the girl a 5 CUC and I ask for a water. Which was 1 CUC. So I give her a coin. At this time the girl is smiling at me like a Cheshire cat or the cat that swallowed the canary. I'm like what is this girls problem but I didn't think nothing of it. NOW. I know why. She beat me for 5 CUC. I was suppose to have gave her 5 CUP which is like 20 cents. Damn that bendeja! You live and you learn. I will post the picture of the two currencies so you won't make that mistake.

After receiving the hard knock life lesson. I decided to go to St Johns which is right around the corner from Sofia's restaurant. If you are leaving Tokoa's. You turn right go to corner where Sofia's is. Then turn right and you will see St John's on the right hand side. There is usually a guy outside yelling discoteca. Paid the 5 CUC and then you take an elevator to the 14th floor (top floor). Here's where I make another rookie mistake. When you get off the elevator you make a right. The bathrooms are straight ahead. In this area people usually smoke near the bathrooms. You make another turn to the right and there are some stairs. As I was going up there was a chica on the stairs that said Hi to me. She was OK looking. She ask me my name and where I am from. I told her and she follows me upstairs. I'm saying to myself here we go. I order a beer and the chica that said Hi was sitting at a table with a cuter friend. She calls me over to sit with her. (Pause) This is where you say no thank you and keep it moving but no my dumb ass said yes and sat with them. Her and her friend knew some English. So with my elementary Spanish and their broken English we were able to communicate. I order drinks for them both. Now at this time is still early about 11:30 and there was a group performing dancing and acrobats. They were pretty good. The show lasted until Midnight. Meanwhile, I'm being entertained by the chica. We are laughing and she is giving me few kisses here and there. She steps away to use the bathroom and I was talking to the cuter friend. This is where I should have said your friend is OK but I really like you but I didn't. As the show ended chicas started pouring in. I mean some really cute chicas. I'm just getting myself in the ass because I spent some time with the chica. The club really gets going after the performance is over. They play hip hop, raggaeton and salsa. After dancing for a few. The girls ask can she leave with me? I wanted her to stay over night so we made a deal and off we went.

Now, this is where the cat mouse games begins. This particular time it wasn't that hard. We walked across the street and one of cars had tinted windows. At this time I couldn't remember the name of my street but I knew I was about 2 blocks from the capitol. Just get me to the capitol and I know the rest of the way. So we made it back to my apartment and we go upstairs. We go into my bedroom and I was looking for something in my luggage and she notice the Victoria Secret stuff and she goes crazy and start grabbing for one of the lotions. I was like whoaaa wait a minute. I told her in Spanish if she gives me good service then she can have it. She starts to strip and get into the bed. I go to the bathroom to freshen up and brush my teeth. I always ask the chica when was the last time they had a massage. Either answer long time or never. So I always ask if its ok to massage them. This is my way of checking out the goods naked. After I finish massaging her I start kissing her stomach and working my way to nipples and then start kissing her. Then I lay down so she can give me blow job. Her skills was OK. Then I made her get on top and then we change position and I finished from the back. When we were done she starts to get dressed. I said to her wait I thought you was staying to the morning. Once again another rookie mistake and I didn't negotiate if she didn't hold up her end of bargain she would get less. I was going to put up a stink but being in Cuba for the first and my first night. I didn't want any problems. She is talking about having to take care of her baby and blah blah blah. So I told her no she is not getting VS gift and then she wanted my deodorant. She lucky I had a extra one. So I gave it to you. Then the bendeja. Had the nerve to ask for money for Taxi. I must have gave her the look like be. Please. So she start saying disculpe disculpe. Which is sorry in Spanish. I just showed her the door. I usually ask for a pic but I so mad I just said f. It and went to bed.

Good shit bro, they got me also with the money switch my first trip, just call it the Cuban initiation LOL. You did the tour me and Grownman have been doing the last couple years, bravo. FYI, you set the rates with the old car taxis, tell them what you want to pay and either they take it or leave it. They are bullies with their tight shirts with a few muscles trying to intimidate tourists, stand firm. I've had my share of run ins with these guys I will describe after you finish your great reporting. You need to follow your alter ego more but I love your honesty in admitting your faults.

Thanks.

Showdown.New regs don't come into effect until the agency writes them and puts them through the normal adoption process, including a comment period. Months at least. Haven't heard any news that they've even begun yet. I get the feeling that no one really wants this to happen except the hardliners in Miami.

I booked my trip before the rule change was announced and am grandfathered into the old process. I don't know if someone booking a trip today will be subjected to extra scrutiny later, but my amateur opinion is that they won't.

Was wondering what cell phone do you guys see girls use in Cuba and I saw someone say about bringing extra chargers. Would that be like portable chargers or just cable wire and piece to plug in.

I have like old iPhones that's why I ask. If I bring old iPhones to Dominican Republic, those women would laugh, Dominicans ask for iPhone 9 LOL.

I brought a couple unlocked Samsung phones to Cuba and they will work, but they will need to buy a chip to put in it, the chips are easy to find, the girls will know where to get them. The model is a Samsung. Galaxy J3 (2016) 4 G LTE with 16 GB Memory Cell Phone (Unlocked) available at Best Buy for $129.99. Amazon may have them as well.

LG K7 4 G LTE with 8 GB Memory Cell Phone (Unlocked) may work as well, $99.00.

BTW, the girls will love you long time if you bring them a cell phone!!

Quick question. Under which OFAC category of travel did you put down to get into Cuba? I was thinking about using my Cuban friend who lives in Havana and say that she is my relative and I'm visiting her and her family (I'm Hispanic). Please help.People to people. Very simple, no questions asked. I have been twice in the last 3 months, headed back in October.

Dear fellow mongers,

I will be in Havana Aug 26 - Sept 8 and am asking if any of you fine gentlemen could refer me to a trusted person who could be my "personal taxi driver". I speak decent (enough) Spanish so this person doesn't have to speak English. Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

I plan to go on a cruise to Havana in October (first time ever in Cuba). I don't think I will be doing any mongering because I will be going with my older brother (87 years old) and my nephew. My brother only wants to see the city and the old cars. I am thinking of taking gifts like toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, and shampoo to give to the local people as part of the people-to-people interaction. Has anyone taken those kinds of gifts to just give out randomly? If so, have you encountered any problems doing it?

Plan on finally hitting Havana next week, and have a few questions. From reading around here it seems best to hang out in Malecon. Would any of you recommend staying in Malecon or would it be better to stay in Vedado? Also, is there any major difference in booking with Airbnb vs Casa Particular? Trying to get in contact with someone like Grownman so I can get a personal taxi to hit up the best spots as well on specific info on where to get the visa in the airport without hassle. Thanks for all the info you all have already provided.

Forgot to mention on my last post about insurance. The apt that I rent in Vedado section a few trips back I had an issue (medical) and when I asked the owner about seeing a medic, she referred me to their neighborhood clinic.
When I arrived told him about being referred to this place by the owner where I's staying and without hesitation after giving him the addy, he proceeded to address my issue. (made me rethink market insurance as compare to universal one)

Now, one other thing, if an emergency arises and you need to be flown out of Cuba, then, YES you'd have to buy insurance here before leaving. Don't think the Cuban government will fly you out. LOL.

I just wrapped up another trip to Havana (all within the last 4 months). The trips were very interesting and fascinating. Cuba is definitely worth seeing at least once in your life time if you can, especially in it's current state. I have been wanting to go to Cuba for years. I would have gone years ago, but I had my hands full traveling to my other favorite destinations, so going to Cuba took a backseat. But with the Obama era easing of the travel restrictions and direct / cheap flights to Cuba, I decided to finally take the plunge. I originally wanted to go for sight seeing and taking in the culture, with mongering being at the bottom of the list of things to do. Since the scene was more in your face than we expected and I was with others who didn't really share my non-mongering interest in Cuba, I ended up mongering way more than expected the first time, LOL.

TRAVEL.

Anyone thinking of taking the plunge, just do it while you can (especially guys from the US). Easy to book and fairly cheap flights (between $350-$500 from the west coast). Expect to pay $50-$100 more for the tourist visa, depending on which airline you are flying with. The airport in Havana is a breeze to go through. The only drawback can be the checked luggage, which might take a while to go through the conveyer belt. The return trips back to the states were seamless as well. I went before and after the Trump announcement and nothing has changed, SO FAR!

MONEY.

I've read conflicting opinions on the subject of exchanging dollars to euros. It seemed like too much of a hassle to me, so I opted to stick to my dollars. Thankfully, I came in on the first trip with some CUC's I exchanged with someone else I knew that returned with extra CUC's, so there was no need to exchange at the airport. Other than that, all of our money exchanges were through the casa owners and we were only getting 1 to 90. We were never able to get anything better.

CASAS.

We first stayed at a casa that was recommended by a friend of a friend in Vedado (next to the university), which was not far from the action. Very lively area throughout the day and night. A little bit of a distance from the main tourist area of the Capitolio and Old Havana, but if you can hack it, it's not a bad walk. They charged $80 CUC for the private apt with two bedrooms (extra bed in one, not bad if you are with others and split the cost). The location was great and no need to check in the chicas.

TAXI.

I believe the first time we went, the taxi cost about $40 CUC (our pre arranged driver didn't show up and we had to scramble at the last minute and ended up in a shuttle type van to our casa). All the subsequent trips to and from the airport cost $20 CUC, but they were all pre arranged with drivers we met throughout our trips.

At first we were getting hit for $10 CUC to and from the Capitolio, but later realized you could go for $5 CUC or take one of the taxis that pick up multiple passengers for $1 CUC. The taxi drivers that hang out in front of the clubs and at LA Rampa at night will charge $10 CUC. Same with the classic car drivers that park in Old Havana and the Capitolio. Like others have suggested, just tell them how much you will pay ($5 CUC) and they will either except it, move on or find you someone who will go for your asking price. After the first trip we mostly walked everywhere, unless we were pressed for time or it was too hot.

P4 P SCENE.

As far as my experience with the P4 P scene, we pretty much concentrated our efforts on La Rampa, Malecon and the Prado (to a lesser extent) over the course of the trips. With the vast majority being at La Rampa. We only checked out one club, Casa de Musica in Miramar, once during our first trip and the pickings weren't that great and the chicas were asking for a lot. Never checked out any other club after that.

For anyone who doesn't know, La Rampa is Ave (or Calle) 23, which runs through the Vedado area and stops at the seashore aka the Malecon. The action appears to start really jumping off after 10 pm or 11 pm. The main stretch of interest is from Calle 0 to about Calle M, but mainly between Calle O and and. From Calle O to the Malecon is mostly guys, so beware. A lot of LB's are also on the stroll too, so be very careful. Other than that, as you walk along the strip, there are chicas lined up on both sides of the strip, although some nights the strip was very weak. Some were outright bold in their approach and others will just give you the look. The police are usually present throughout the strip, so some chicas will be very hesitant to talk to you in the open. So try to be discreet and careful for their sake, because they will be the ones in trouble, not you.

The Malecon (the sea wall along the shore) seems to pick up in the late afternoon / early evening. The action was mostly concentrated further east from where La Rampa and Malecon intersect, particularly in the area around Ave Italia aka Galiano (good landmark is the big blue hotel called the Deauville and the large black statue of lady). The chicas along the Malecon were usually a little more subdued in their approach, but they will usually let you know if they are in the game. I found that making eye contact and seeing their response was the best approach, even if they were with a guy. A lot of the working girls will be hanging with their "amigo" aka pimp, who will either step aside when you approach or try to play the middle man. Again, be discreet because of the police presence.

During my first trip, the Prado (the walkway plaza that separates Old Havana and Centro that leads to the Malecon from the Capitolio) had a lot of action, but during the subsequent trip it was pretty dead.

Since I don't necessarily like taking any chica back to my place, so at times, I tried a handful of the nearby temporary rental rooms. Usually the chica would have a nearby place that they preferred to frequent, if not then it was easy to find someone (usually the amigo / pimp) who would point out a spot or take you to a spot. I generally paid between $10-15 CUC. The places ranged as far as cleansiness, a couple were out right filthy without any place to wash up (I usually carry a backpack with a small towel, wipes and gel, just in case) and others were pretty decent with what appeared to be clean beds and shower. I felt odd walking through the living room with family members present, while they lead you and your chica to the room, LOL.

For the chicas, we mostly paid within the range of $30-40 CUC. Most will quote you $50 CUC or more, but can be talked down to the $30-$40 CUC price range most of the time. Most of the chicas would try and ask for a tip or taxi money towards the end. In all my travels, I have never encountered so many chicas who asked for the money up front. This happened to me 99% of the time. I never caved in to those request. Most would relent after I either assured them that there wasn't going to be any problem with me paying them or showed them the money. After a while, I had to admonish the chica before we even came to an agreement, that the money would come after the session, which was something I've never really experienced in the past.

Also a lot of chicas wanted any little item you could give them. Anything from wipes, gel, soap, lotion, candy, snacks etc. If it was out in the open, they wanted it. One chica proceeded to open my backpack looking for items I could give her. A few just wanted the stuff for their relatives / siblings, like one who asked me for underwear for her little brother.

The two issues that stood out with the Havana P4 P experience were the large presence of pimps / jineteros and the police situation. The pimp situation, which I noticed practically everywhere the P4 P was present, was what I hated the most. I mostly avoided it, but it was very entrenched in the scene there from what I experienced. They usually played the middleman and would usually ask for $5 CUC for merely introducing you to the chica. Some would stay in the background, like pimps usually do, but you could tell they were pimping the chica. Also be prepared to constantly being offered chicas by the Cubanos throughout Havana. Other than cigars, that was the second most frequent thing that we were offered, once they realized we were tourist.

The police issue was a little bit confusing in that some seriously feared getting caught and some didn't seem to care at all. I had some who did the whole, walking separately and entering / exiting the taxi separately. One chick tried to use the police situation to get me to take a cab that belonged to her friend and I declined, since I was staying at a casa that was a short walking distance from the Ramp and I had walked with other chicas from there without any issues. When I finally told her, she could take a cab by herself and meet me at my casa, she relented after she realized that I wasn't going to budge. She had no problems walking with me back to my apt and even insisted on holding hands. I even had another one use the pay off to the police to justify the higher rate she was asking for. Not to say that the fear of the police isn't real, but just be wary of chicas using that as an excuse to get more money out of you.

FINAL THOUGHTS.

Anyways, I really liked Havana for the cultural and historical aspects of it, but the P4 P left a lot to be desired. To me it was too limited as far as different venues. The heavy presence of pimps in the game was a major turn off. And while there are definitely some sweethearts and beauties there, most that I encountered were trying to hustle you for more money whenever they could, not let you do much during the deed (don't touch this or that, no BJ, no to different positions, etc) or rush you. I found the work ethic and performance of most of the chicas I dealt with to be subpar. I wouldn't necessarily recommend the place solely for P4 P, based on my experience, but like they say YMMV.

I went in with an open mind, so a lot of the other issues people write about in Havana in this and other travel forums didn't bother me much. But I expected a little better from the chicas, as far as performance and attitudes. That being said, something about that place makes me want to go back and give it another try, despite the short comings of the P4 P scene. Compared to the other places I love to frequent, Havana is easier to travel to, much cheaper and fascinating. Sorry this isn't as exciting as Black Lexus's report, which I'm looking forward to reading more of, but this is my take and hopefully it's helpful to someone out there.

Great report dude, plenty of good info and well written. It appears you did your homework and read previous reports going back. You handled yourself like a true veteran. Cubans think they are always smarter than everyone else and like to dictate everything, just the way the culture is and I respect that. You did a great job of sticking to your terms and that probably frustrated them, oh well.

As far as the Cuban pimps they are the worse and usually hands on. They have no idea of how to be discreet and invisible. Goes back to the control thing with the culture I guess.

I've traveled all over the world mongering and Cuban women are the only ones I can't figure out. It's so many dynamics within the Cuban culture that unless you are Cuban you will probably never figure them out. Always thinking, completely unreliable most of the time, slightly arrogant, hidden agenda but they are hot and the sex is the best I have ever had.

And it is VERY illegal in Cuba -- with severe penalties for the women (but not the customers).

You look at places where our hobby is legal (Brasil, Colombia, etc), there is very little need for a girl to have a pimp. Not saying it doesn't exist, but it's not nearly as widespread as it is in Cuba.

I do agree that the Cubanas are as hot in the cama as any chicas, save possibly the Brasilenas. I will be returning to la Habana in November and I can't wait!

Great report! How would you grade the appearance of the chicas? Body type? Age? Also, how fluent in Spanish are you and how did that affect your experience? Thanks! Thanks everybody.

The chicas ranged in looks, age and body type. Lots of gorgeous to pretty Cuban woman in Havana, can't say that what I saw on the strip (LaRampa and Malecon) was as good, but there are definitely diamonds in the rough if look hard enough.

As far as Spanish, I can speak some, but far from good. I know enough to get the deal done, but not much for anything beyond basic questions and some convo. I can't say it would have made a difference because most were looking to hit and run. However, I will say if you speak the language, there seems to be a lot of potential semi to non pros available to you, if you're up for the chase.

Your reports and posts were very helpful during my research. I'm still trying to find that elusive hot in the cama Cubana you talk about though, LOL (although, I will say I had one that came close). I will keep trying, hope to try again (maybe Sept, when it cools down) before the new OFAC rules are published.

Thanks again.

CASA's

We first stayed at a casa that was recommended by a friend of a friend in Vedado (next to the university), which was not far from the action. Very lively area throughout the day and night. A little bit of a distance from the main tourist area of the Capitolio and Old Havana, but if you can hack it, it's not a bad walk. They charged $80 CUC for the private apt with two bedrooms (extra bed in one, not bad if you are with others and split the cost). The location was great and no need to check in the chicas.

Good one Ee2002 ! Is it possible to get the contact info on the CASA you stayed at? PM me if you can, Thanks!!

Been going to Brazil and Cuba for 15 years or so. IN Brazil you can 'point, click and pay play. ' Don't get me wrong, It's GREAT.

But in Cuba -- IF YOU SPEAK SPANISH FAIRLY WELL -- the chances for non-pros are tremendous, far better than Brazil.

I think they are very reliable compared to women of other nations. If you tell them to come to the casa at a certain time, they are there right on time ready for some fun.

What's up fellas. Sorry for the delay. I want to first say great informational report from Ee2002. One day I will be able to put my report together professionally like that. I only know how to tell a story and keeping it real LOL. So its Sunday morning and I'm hungry. I took a walk past the capitol and followed Deni's map (the pretty owner of the apartment if any one has forgotten). Took sometime but I found a restaurant called the'next. They have a good selection of food and the price is reasonable. I believe they stop serving breakfast about 12:30 pm. They have very cute waitresses with asses so you know I will be back. After eating I headed back to the apartment. I bought some rum and coke and dropped it off at the apartment. I wanted to get familiar with my surroundings. So I decided to walk the Malecon. I walked all the way down Obispo until I hit the Malecon. Like Ee2002 said its the long road by the water. You can't miss it. I decided to turn right and walk back to the apartment. You can see huge cruise liners in the water. It seems like I was walking forever. I came across a little neighborhood. I met one Cuban dude with a Philly's hat that look like someone from the states. He spoke good English. He asked me the usual questions. Cigars, girls and touring. Chatted with him for a bit. He asked if I wanted a beer. I said sure we walked over to some lady house who was selling beer out her house. Tell me why I ended up buying the beer for the two of us and on top of that. They were only cans and charged me 4 CUC. Just shaking my head. Anyways, finally made it back to the apartment. When I opened the bottom the door Deni the love of my life (I wish) was standing there waiting for another client for an apartment. I asked if anyone sells ice (sounds like yellow in Spanish) She say no and said she can bring me some trays in a half hour.

Well apparently she came but I fell asleep. Woke up and called her and she brought me a ice tray. I took a shower and decided to walk the Malecon again but this time take a left to see if there were girls out. The breeze off the water was so perfect. There were a lot of people out after 9 PM. Mostly couples and families just sitting out enjoying the nice breeze by the water. I don't if it was early but I didn't see any girls looking for action. After reading Ee2002 report. I must have been in the wrong part of the Malecon. I was walking for a heck of a long time. I almost made it Sofia's restaurant but my dogs barking and my legs felt like jello. Most exercise I've done in awhile. I hopped in a ride with two dudes who took me the rest of the way to Sofias for 5 CUC. Had dinner again at Sofia's and I was just about to walk over to Tokoa's but as I was walking two girls went by and of course the less attractive one says hola but sneakingly. They stop and we seat on the concrete step. Cops were coming so they got up and started talking to some Cuban guys near by. The cop stop and asked ID from some other people near by. So girls suggest we go to a place around the corner on the opposite side of Sofia's. It was a small bar I forgot the name of it. Order some beers and then the girls went out to have a smoke. A few minutes later the unattractive one comes back in by herself and said her friend went with family and will be back. I didn't want to wait so the unattractive girl suggests we go to St. Johns hotel which I was going to go to anyways. She also starts to explain to me that St. John's wouldn't let her in because she was wearing short shorts. She said she can get a dress from one of her friends near by. At this point I didn't care.

I took the elevator to the top floor and went up stairs. There were girls there but not nearly as many that was there on Saturday night. As I was standing there drinking my free drink that came with the entrance fee of 5 CUC. The cute friend from last night approached me. I was so happy to see her. I really should have took her instead of her friend. I wasn't going to let her go. So I bought her a drink and then we started dancing. Drank some more and then decided to go back to my apartment. As we were leaving the two girls I met earlier was outside. Apparently, They were waiting on me but I walked by with my new date in tow. LOL She had a driver so he followed me in my taxi back to the apartment. Washed up real quick and about to get busy and she stops and ask for money first (here we go sigh.) I put half on the table and she was cool with that. Gave her a massage and she return the favor with a good BBBJ. Kissing and everything. Just what I wanted. Let her go with a Victoria Secret lotion and some pics. Went to bed a happy camper. To be continue.

I have to disagree with the Cuban women being unreliable. I think they are very reliable compared to women of other nations. If you tell them to come to the casa at a certain time, they are there right on time ready for some fun.I agree and let me clarify my statements. They are very reliable when it comes to fast money for a fuck but I have developed special relationships with several girls that involve time spent, money and relationships. My statement was based on those relationships where they know I'm coming then vanish and pop up at the end of my trip. Now I understand they may have a regular Cuban novio and maybe they couldn't make the arrangements or as one said the typical "Mom has cancer" excuse but my time is important and I expect them to be ready knowing I'm coming. My main girl is special but she has times where I can't find her and know she is with her euro boyfriend and that's cool. Now she is telling me she wants a serious relationship probably after the euro boyfriend has dumped her again. That's the ulterior motive part of my statement. She wants marriage and a baby and maybe a visa and I don't want that so I accept the fact and her happiness is my concern even without me. That's the story of my life, losing a great girl because I don't want to commit. I'm 53 yo and have never been married and I've had a vasectomy but I have to be honest with myself because I love traveling the world spending time with beautiful women having great sex. I spend money when there (never send money), buy dinner and drinks and bring gifts. If that's not enough then so be it. I think my problem is that I have a tendency to go for the young girls (age 21-25) and they want money, babies and marriage once they really get to know and like you. Maybe I have to use my Dominican Republic strategy of shopping for the older (30-35) girls who are more appreciative and settled in their lives and take things as they are.

But the passion the Cuban girls come with is unmatched in all my travels. Cuba is the only place that made me challenge my own passion. Several times the girls have been giving their all and I'm just going through the motions. After thought, I realized I had to let go completely and lose myself in the moment. I'm talking about sex where it could be a fire next door but you don't care. I'm talking about sex where I have seen girls lose themselves and transform. Outside of the bedroom I never feel completely in control maybe because the culture is stronger than me or maybe because I can't fully have things on my terms. Either way I don't want my post coming across as someone out to bash Cuban women. In fact I think they are the most passionate women I have ever had.

I actually got my soaps, shampoo and tooth paste products from a local hotel. If you have a contact at a hotel, it would be much cheaper than dollar store. I took 144 bags in February and taking 50 bags this trip.I was checking stuff to bring, like shampoo, deodorant, toothbrush and tooth paste, I found tsa bag that cost half the price if you buy everything seperate, I got it at target for $6 jUst wondering if a couple these would be good.

The bags I did had soap, shampoo, lotion, all from hotel stick. Gave to me by a friend that owns several hotels. I added candy to that in individual baggies. Those I actually gave to people on the street, older people, kids, ect. I had jewellery, perfume and some dresses for the chicas. The kids and people on the street were very appreciative. The chicas liked their gifts as well. I will be posting trip details soon from my second Havana trip.

I can buy earrings like in the photo for 1000 pesos (35 cents) in Medellin. I will be going to Medellin before going to Havana. My question for those who have been to Cuba, will those earrings be appreciated? I want to do something for the people, not to imply superiority. I plan to make up bags with the following for under $4 each: toothbrush, 2 travel size toothpastes, 2 travel size shampoos, a bar of soap, and deodorant. I'll also add some Hershey's Kisses. As I said in a previous post, I will be on a cruise, so will probably only be touring in one of the old cars and passing out the gift bags randomly.

And to the two smarta $ses who felt it proper to criticize me for not going on a mongering trip with my brother and nephew (who will be on the cruise), get a life! I respect other people's feelings and desires.

I recently returned from my second trip to Havana. The first was more of a sightseeing adventure, this trip was specifically for mongering. Here are my observations.

First thing is Havana is hot and humid in August. Temps were in the low 90's with high humidity. We didn't experience any rain and the breeze from the ocean helped some, but still very hot. It reminded me of the Bangkok. Hot!!

We stayed at an airbnb in the Vedado neighborhood of Havana. The apartment was nice, the building had an elevator which was nice. Good cold AC in the bedrooms, fan in the open areas, so it was a nice retreat from the hot afternoons. We had a balcony that looked out to the Malecon about a block away. It was very private and no problem bringing chicas back. The apartment was nicely located, we could walk the Malecon and up to 23rd st which was 2 blocks away. The area was extremely lively, especially on 23rd st. The Malecon was loaded every night till 3 or 4 in the morning.

Our mongering opportunities came primarily from the two block walk from our apartment to 23rd st. There is a small cafe about 2 blocks off the Malecon called Sofia's. We could get drinks, some food and watch the people walk by. Very busy corner in Vedado. Every day there were chicas in Sofia's looking to meet. We could get a table and within a minute, they were moving tables to get closer to us. They would make eye contact, blows a discrete kiss or motion with their head to let's go. All were young attractive chicas. You have to be very discrete because the policia were usually not very far.

First night, we picked up a couple of really nice looking chicas. We bought them dinner at another restaurant a couple mile away from Sofia's. We took separate cabs to & from the restaurant. No problems there. We decided to go back to the apartment for some fun. Took separate cabs back to Sofia's. Walked from there to the apartment. The girls walked about 100 yards behind us. As we approached our apartment. 2 cops stopped the girls and began to question them. We went into the apartment lobby. After a few minutes, they came on in. Obviously very nervous. These girls were not pros. They tell us that they have to pay the policia $50 cuc. So, I say adios. Finally gave them $20 cuc to just leave. It was ashame, my girl was an easy 8 and a dancer. Very disappointing. We waited about 20 minutes, walked up to 23rd st, picked up another cute petite blonde on the half way there and cam back. She was extremely hot, blonde, about 5 ft with an ass to die for. We negotiated $50 cuc for a couple hours. She did not disappoint.

Second day, was kinda strange. Made my way up to sofia's and saw one of the most beautiful Cuban chica there is. About 5'8", slender, not a blemish on this beauty. She walks far behind me back to apartment. No problems. We get in, have an afternoon drink, Start to kiss and make out, then off to the shower where a nice BBBJ ensued. Get to bed, lay around a little, massage for her and then off to the races. Very sensual and erotic young woman. Here is where it got strange, that evening as we are leaving the apartment, I open the door to find 4 chicas waiting outside. One of them had been with my friend the night before. They come in and we try to tell them we are going to dinner and to come back tomorrow. I guess the rum got the best of us so we settled on BBBJ's all around. Got finished and went to dinner with 2 other friends staying in a separate apartment up the street. We had more chicas scheduled for that night after dinner. They were arranged by out friends host. We get there, two of those did not show, so I said OK, I will walk back to my place and pick up one on the way. As I open the door to their apartment to leave, a nice looking black chica was standing there looking for one of my friends she was with earlier in the day. Of course, he was busy, I took her in tow back to my place. Absolutely the best BBBJ CIM I have experience and the sex latter was pretty good too.

Third day, we do a few touristy things around Hababa Veja during the day. We get back to apartment and sitting on the balcony and here comes that same black chica with a white friend. I said crap, what is it with these girls. So, we send them on their way. Latter we walk up to Malecon, pick up a couple more and back to apartment. This was Saturday night. There are people every where. The Malecon is pack. There are cops everywhere too. Everywhere I looked there was cops and dogs. If you can be discrete, you can be ok. We were very discrete and didn't have any problems except for the first night.

The Vedado area worked out pretty good for us. We were propositioned every where we went.

We picked out the best and moved on.

Service was very good.

Average prices were $40 to $50 cuc.

You have to remember, the Cuban people really don't have a whole lot. I did just that on both of my trips to Havana. Walking around and handing out the goodie bags is a great experience. The earrings would be a nice touch, but not really necessary unless you are planning on doing some mongering.

I will tell you that Medellin is a great place to visit and to monger. I absolutely loved Medellin and still regularly chat with some very nice chicas I met in Medellin. It is my number one spot over many I have been to.

Any input about a place called St Johns? I know the hotel, and I assume this is a club at the top of it? But I am not sure.

I would love to know more about the location, quality, range of ladies, price ranges, etc.

Hey everybody. I have been to Cuba many times over the years. Typically, I meet ladies here and there, but nowhere in particular. Yes, you have your usual parade on La Rampa and Obispo. But other than that, I usually meet mostly non-pros in Cuba and it is usually not in the main areas I mentioned.

I would love to know what you all think are the best spots -- whether it be a club, bar, street, whatever. For picking up some fun, sexy pros.

Thanks fellas!

THANKS!Hey MJ,

Yes you are correct. St Johns is a hotel that is around the corner from Sofias restaurant in Vedado that has a club on the top floor. Entry fee is 5 CUC which gets one drink. Many pretty chicas. Especially Friday and Saturday. Since many tourists frequent the place. Girls ask 60 - 80 CUC. You also have club Tokoas and La Grunge that's near Sofias. It seems to be a younger crowd in both. I picked up a girl in each and paid 30 CUC for one and 40 CUC for the other. Like Bdb013 said you can pick up girls all night outside Sofias. Just have to be discreet about it.

THANKS!Hey MJT,

Yep, you are right it's a hotel and it's just around the corner from the Sofia bar / restaurant that sits on the corner of 23rd. And yes, the place where the action is sits on the top floor.

I was there a few years ago and took the elevator to the top floor. Forgot how I paid $5 CUC, either downstairs before catching the elevator or upstairs but remember that there was no action there when I arrived. A few gals hanging around and a band playing. Left soon after having a drink.

Come to find out later that as most night spots in la Habana, things don't get going till after midnight!

I've read some reports on this site about the action, maybe you can search them and find out more or someone with hands on experience here can chime in.

That spot has been there for years but only in the last year or so for P4 P. It's on the 14th floor and used to just be Cabarette type of shows. Pretty good synchronised dancing. The girls would hang around by the entrance for P4P.

Grownman has been at this place many times recently and has reported on it in his forum (Boom boom room) in DR section of ISG. He posts their because it's his open forum and it has a mix of the DR and Cuba, good reading.

Here is a secret guys; Brush up with your Spanish dance lessons (YouTube has free videos), I say this because Sofia's has live music and the girls love to dance. Want a smoking hot non pro? That's how you get one.

Also within 500 meters of Sofia's is La Grunge disco and Tokias disco.

You see many girls in that area sitting around using the Wifi for 2-3 CUC. I like to find a hot honey sitting by herself and sit next to her using the wifi. Don't initially say anything and be patient, you don't want to scare her off. After about 15 minutes act like you are having trouble logging in to the wifi. This might break the ice and get her talking. If not be patient and act like you are interested more in the wifi than her, you don't want to come off as a pussy hound initially. Usually they develop a comfort zone and want to see what the nice gringo is up to. Everything in Cuba about the foreigner is how you set up the approach. The non pros require you to be tactical and slick.

Hey MJ,

Lex.Which is it, I am confused? I know la gruta.

Why are the chicas so bold in this locale? In most of Vedado, if a male tourist gets near a young attractive women, the police are all over her. Thus the chicas are generally very shy about socializing with us out in the open. What makes Tablazo different?

I've posted about this place before but nobody has written anything on it so I take it nobody visited it.

The place is called La Esencia and it's located on Calle B, between Calzada and Linea in the Vedado section.

Last time I was in Habana, in February of this year, someone told me this was "the hapenning place" in la Habana. I didn't have a chance to check it out myself so I was hoping that by posting here someone would have checked it out by now but no such luck.

I think this is mostly the up & coming young crowd or the "nouveau rich" in Cuba than hang at this place. Friday being the hottest day of the week, so I was told.

I think you prolly need some game here but if you are not an old slob you might have a chance here. Report back in case you visit soon.

Prado and vedado have cops on the lookout for P4P. If you stand out wearing flip flops, shorts and a tank top expect the police to covertly pay attention to you and the women that go to you. If you don't dress like a tourist and hangout while attending to your business (using wifi, listening to music, drinking and dancing) the police are less likely to take an interest in your intentions. The police in Vedado are on the take and are only looking for a payoff from the girls but they give their game away by associating with an obvious tourist who is only looking for pussy.

I did notice that the girls had lookouts watching for the police and would get a text message and would disappear, only to reappear a few minutes later when the police truck had cruised by. Keep in mind that this was after 8 pm. This place worked out great for us because we had a private casa only a 5 minute walk from Tablazo's (Apartment Alenjandro Vedado), excellent casa on the 16th floor overlooking the Malecon.

We got a kick out of Tablazo because if you sit outside the girls would come right up to the railing and talk to you while you where eating / drinking. If you invited them to come in (yes, they hungry) and sit at the table with you. The Police would not hassle them, but once you left you have to do the "Havana walk". We picked up several hot chicas here and didn't have any issues.

The only time I had problems with the police was in Vieja at a nice Italian restaurant, (can't remember the name). I took a beautiful chica to dinner one evening and the police was waiting for her when we left, thanks to my taxi driver who haggled with the police for 20 minutes, they cut us loose for only 10 CUC, pheeew, my chica was scared shitless, she was terrified!!

Edit - Couple of things, at the Casa I mentioned, there is an outside bar at the base of the building facing the Malecon, there's always chicas hanging out here after sunset.

As far as eats, the best place to eat in Havana is a place called "Paladar Los Amigos", excellent food and relatively cheap.

I met a genius in Havana, and this genius was a beautiful chica. This girl had every (car) license plate memorized in Havana, she could tell you who was driving the car, weather or not he was an under-cover police or a friendly.

She had a photographic memory that was amazing, she could walk out of the room, and return 2 hours later and could spot anything that had been touched or moved, I know cause I would test her without her knowing it, I was astonished!!

I was very intimidated by her because it was obvious that she was far far smarter than me!! LOL.

Man I had some good times in Cuba, looking forward to returning. Cheers.

TTM.I have stayed in contact with a couple chicas I met last winter, and they saying it's extremely hot this summer, more so than usual.

I made 5 trips to Cuba, from November 2016 through March 2017. The weather was VERY pleasant during those months (75 F - 85 F) no rain and the bluest skies I have ever seen, looking forward to visiting again this fall.

On the 14th floor of the Saint John Hotel is a club called Rio Blanco. It's on the same block right around the corner from Sophia. You can usually see your top notch pros and semipros on the outside headed directly to the club. This is open P4 P gentlemen. The girls prices range from 50 to 100. These girls know the game and will come up to you within a matter of seconds. On a good night there maybe as many as 30 girls of different varieties. The girls asked a lot because the place and atmosphere is totally organized. The hotel the pimps the cops and chicas all play there position. Most of these girls do not walk the Streets. Most of these girls will have one very nice clothes hair done and accessories. I like the atmosphere because the place plays a little hip-hop in the music selection.

It really sets me in the mood. Once I get a good feel of the mood by talking with several of the top not shakers in there; I didn't go outside and find a Chica from one of the other clubs at a much cheaper rate. I don't like to hit the club until about 12:30 By 1:30 - 2:30 I am outside feeling good and getting my catch for the night.

If you are in Havana and want to keep things simple you should fuck go this route. Even if you don't deal with the girls on the outside.

Most of these girls prefer tourist and stay away from locals. My local road dog goes out of his way to look more touristy and hopefully no one will notice him. He's Cuban and actually says girls fuck tourist better.

Hey all,

My first post here, but I have been to Havana over 10 times. However, my experience may differ a bit.

I'm in my 30's, so whenever I go with friends, we tend to go to the local clubs for our talent. We prefer it more than the street workers and girls around the malecon.

However, as many of you may already know, things move and change very quickly in Havana. Which is why I am here. Are any of you familiar with the more popular "local" clubs? Mainly around Miramar.

I know of these ones:

1: Bolabana. Great club and usually very lively. Mix of music and crowd. No obvious "pros" but the girls are beautiful and if you run your game right, they'll head home with you.

2. Mio why Tuyo. Same as above, but more of an afterhours club.

3. Fantaxy. Last time I was there (2 months ago), this was the new "up and coming" place. Talent was decent and the music was similar to the other 2 above.

4. Las Piedras. I'll never forget walking into here the first time (about a year ago). It was literally 25 hot young girls. The only guys in there were myself and my buddies. They were all working girls but the experience was fun. I think this place closed down. Anyone know? It still has the sign up but never seen a lineup there anymore.

5. Shangri-la. Never went but heard so / so things. Open? Closed?

I've never attended any of the Casa de la Musica clubs.

Can anyone share their experience with the above and perhaps add to the list? I'll be going back next month.

Thanks!

However, my friend went earlier this year and apparently, Don Cangrejo was the happening spot some nights. Nobody seems to be reporting on Dos Gardenias. Is this place still around? During my last visit to DG, the quality was subpar at best.

I am not into the street / malecon scene so pick up bars tends to be my preference.

For my understanding the clubs offer a better selection during the matinee session than the late night sessions, also, the hard core Jineteras/putas don't like to come out early, LOL. Just a FYI.

Fabrica del Arte, even though this place it's not necessarily a club there is a variety of venues here that offers lots of variety and a healthy variety of Cubanas wondering around. Let me know when you are heading down since I'm also heading down next month.

I went to Dos Cárdenas a few times in the past and never liked it. You have to take a taxi outside the city to get there and when we left there were no yellow cabs waiting out front. We had to take the old car taxi because he was the only one there. Five minutes he runs out of gas and me not knowing if it's a setup or not proceed to walk with his objections. Here I am in a quiet upscale area with not a person or car for several minutes, it was something out a scary movie. After 15 minutes I saw a cab and went to Sofia's. Also they make everyone wait in this cramped room till the bigger room becomes available, the bathroom had 15 people in line.

Casa de música Miramar has late afternoon shows but it's mostly couples going to dance, didn't see any P4 P. Casa de música Havana is now closed but I loved the place. Sure the 10 CUC cover was extreme and the hookers were aggressive but the place was huge and the 20 piece band always jammed. Say what you want but that place was special and is missed by me. In all my travels I have never seen such a large venue with a live band and even hookers available.

Some place not mentioned here at all is Deauville hotel that's down the street from Casa de música going toward the Malecon. Five CUC cover and plenty of hookers. Kind of small as the disco is in the basement. You really need to beat the hookers off as they come in waves. Maybe that's why guys don't go there because the hookers can scare a guy who is easily intimidated.

Mondo.I've always seen the lineup to get into Fabrica del Arte -- certainly seems popular and the crowd is very much different than anywhere else.

I'll have to check it out.

My flight down is on September 26 and we'll be staying in the Miramar area (which I'm very familiar with).

Hoping someone can make some suggestions for the clubs. Has anyone attended the ones I mentioned? Bolabana or Mio why Tuyo?

Some other interesting random points. I'm not sure what the flee market / bazaar is called off the end of the Malecon (usually not too far from where the large ships dock), but I'll say this. I've walked through that flee market a handful of times and every time, you'll find some beautiful women / girls all working at the little stands (which all sell the same thing, more or less). A bit of chit chat here and there, and they're happy to come back with you. Also, I would constantly drive between Miramar and Alamar (to the east). You would be surprised at how many beautiful girls there are just looking for a ride along the same path.

Ya, the stretch of road passing Alamar has some mighty fine lookers waiting for the buses, but then again, there is a fairly high population concentration living in those soviet style apartments.

The "flea" market or crafts market in Habana Vieja is government run and strictly for tourists. Walking toward the boats, you often find chicas sitting out in the evenings. Might have something to do with the summer heat. For those of you biased against the street scene, in the Carribean life is on the street, it is not the same stigma as in other countries street scenes.

Along the malecon, groups of chicas pay the cops to keep the area clear so that only they can work it. I found out because a Cuban friend's wife got shaken down by cops walking along the stretch by centro.

Places like Bolabana have lots of dancers but I don't think they are there all the time. Sometimes it is just lucky to run into a party in one of those places. Summertime, all the top musicians are touring Europe so the chances of running into a good event where all the 10's dress up are slimmer. Winter (dry season) is too cold for Cubans to be in the streets so you have to hit it just right.

Legit taxis don't like hanging out in front of clubs as they want to earn a living but not put up with the b.s. from the hustlers. The gypsy cabs hanging outside clubs at night are all hustlers ripping you off. If you must, set the price before getting in and have the right change as they will not.

Your message box is full. I would appreciate information on your guide. Thanks.

I just got back from a 5 day trip to Havana and had an amazing time.
