Cuba is much cheaper than the places you mentioned. You can find girls for 20 CUC. Buy perfumes, earrings and accessories for them. It will be worth than the money.

Not in Havana though. You have to visit smaller cities.Your information seems to be a bit dated, when was last time you were their? Their not even on the cuc anymore, please explain! Thanks.

Lets go!Yes, they are opening 15 November but probably it is wise to wait a week at least. 15 November is the tentative day the nationwide protests is going to happen. Nobody knows what will happen on that day. Cuba is very unpredictable. january 2022 is another story altogether. they might come up with another policy next year!

Hope this helps!Melia Habana in Miramar has a outdoor bar with a big screen. It opened like 5 or 6 years ago. They call it a sports bar and I see a lot of soccer games on. Maybe they will have the Super bowl. At night that bar usually has a few very sexy chicas but they ask top dollar there so I pick up at other places.

The situation for Cubans are getting worst by the day and those in control won't do the only thing that will make things better: open up the economy. In Moscow you'll pay $100 for a girl who in London will be $500. If Cuba is now very poor won't prices be very low? For example will a girl live with me for a week 24/7 for $1000 cash?

They don't want Cuban pesos because they can get better deal with US dollars, and that's what they want right now that they can go to Nicaragua without visas and dollars are better for them than Euros. They expect that the US dollar could get between 100-150 pesos in the street, the government would give you just 24 to the dollar, and you bet that many will fall for it. I just made a reservation for next March with an airbnb in Havana.

https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/39860905

They will give you a key and you can bring in whatever guests you want to. Technically she has to show her ID to the owner, which is required by law, however I have a suspicion that the owners may look the other way and not notice who is accompanying you wink wink.

They advised me to bring euros in ten euro notes to pay for expenses and they will help me exchange them when necessary for 70 CUP per euro, however some private businesses will take the euros.

Been to Cuba a couple dozen times. Last trip over 10 years ago. Planning a trip Jan 18 for 2 weeks. I speak enough Spanish to get around.

What's the latest on Havana Casas. And guest policies?

Best places to meet ladies? Not the hardcore clubs, just the normal jineteras?

What's the going rates for the ladies? Used to paying 30 bucks USD for 24 hours.

Do I need a rental car like in the old days?

Thanks in advance, gents!

Thanks in advance, gents! There are lot of changes in Cuba. Local currency CUC not exists anymore. Local moneda national CUP official rate 1 $:24 CUP Black market rate 1 $: 72: CUP 1 Euro: 90 CUP.

Most Stores not accept money anymore, no CUP, no dollars, only not American Bank Cards and you need passport to buy even cigarettes. So you need cash to pay taxi, casa and chicas and you need not American bank cards to pay food and things in the stores.

People reports that streets are empty and no girls on the streets. Probably the best way to find ladies to ask house owners or pimps. Guys who went to Cuba before Covid to find ladies now prefer to go there with girlfriends from their countries.

I didn't know those were free before. This looks funny only because you took it out of context. In fact government wants to control all transactions. Government introduced MLC cards so each Cuban use it instead of money. It can happen that for casas and taxi soon you can not pay cash, only transaction to their MLC card. Some tourists who have chica already don't give them cash but instead make transaction from bank cards to chica's MLC cards.

Looks like Cuba is open for international flight as of Jan 1. AA and others fly in from Miami, only 150 miles but they charge big bucks. Must be a lot of rich anti-Castro exiles anxious to sniff Cuban pussies hehe.

Copa also flies from Panama. Prices are still high. With lots of CoVid unknowns, not even sure if Cuba will let them land after Jan 1.

Would have loved to have joined you, but with Covid restrictions I wasn't sure. Are you there now. Was thinking of taking a trip to Varadero at the end of Jan if your still around. Do you mainly stay in Havana or do you venture elsewhere?I will be in Havana January 8 till the 13, just a quick trip this time. Too bad you won't be there. I usually just stay in Havana though I have traveled the island several times in the past. A lot of Fun. I am down for crossing the island again sometime later this year.

Thanks for sharing but most of these are fake. Third link is a chick called Brilliantly Divine and doubt that's her.I agree that, based on Facebook, it would appear that Cuba has now become home to many of the world's hottest Latina porn actresses, some of them even have a few profiles under different names. I guess it's the Communism which is attracting them likes moths to the flame.

All that I can say is remember the golden rule: Never give a penny to anyone you have not met in person. Seeing is believing.

Most of these profiles may be actually one fat old bald guy named Jose who is scamming people for phone recharges, however I think that there must be some real girls in there too.

At any rate, here are a few of my latest Havana friends. I think that the best strategy is to keep sending these profiles friend requests and then facebook will send you more Cuban girls as friend request suggestions, send them friend requests and continue until you are in Cuba and you can put them to the test with face to face meetings and then please tell us how it went.

With lots of CoVid unknowns, not even sure if Cuba will let them land after Jan 1.Not anti-castro exiles but those who made US authorities believe they were prosecuted in Cuba but as soon as they become legal they fly to the island. They don't care about politics, just the money.

There are quite a few making money carrying articles to sell over there, they call them "mulas" (mules).

The prices to go to Cuba is nothing compare to the price of a ticket to Nicaragua, as high as $3,200 one way!

Tickets will stay high for a while. Fortunately, I travel to the Dominican Republic!

I've been to Havana many times and have always had to fly thru a gateway country. Cancun airport had 4 flights daily (Cubana and AeroMexico).

Big problem is that Cubana is very unreliable and connecting flights home are easily be missed.

Cubans are being led to believe that poverty is because of the blockade.

I'm wondering what are the current restrictions in Havana. Is it mandatory to wear mask on the streets, is there any curfew, are the bars and restaurants working normal? Can someone who is in Havana right now (or have been in the recent weeks) gives accurate info? Info on Google can be quite misleading about things like that. Thanks.

Here is a list of some of my recent Facebook friends from out in the provinces, in case anyone plans out venturing there. I have the impression that the number of female Cuban facebook profiles is increasing quickly now that gringos are back. I'm up a thousand friends now. Everyone I chat with is fine with 60 euros a day (euro is preferred to dollars, it's now about 90 CUP to the euro on the street) and they don't mind signing in with the casa owner. What I have noticed also is that I don't immediately get asked for phone recharges anymore. Whoever is making these profiles seems more interested in getting that 60 euros per day. I also have the impression that girls from the provinces will make the journey to Havana if someone is willing to send them bus fare. I don't accept responsibility for anyone sending money to a person sight unseen.

I am very curious to hear about anyone's on the ground experiences. Are girls afraid to hang out in the clubs and on the street which was previously the method used to meet up? Is facebook the way to go? What about badoo, tinder or other online sources? What are the actual prices, what about registering at the casa, etc.

It's very likely that nothing will happen to you but remember that those in power are not too friendly to the State of Israel, they support the Palestinians, they even fought against Israel during the Yom Kippur war. Just go, bed a few Cubanas but flight under the radar. Don't make any unnecessary noise.

But if you can't find a buyer, you could get a good deal with the ladies there. You'll have nothing to lose.

Not sure what they would think about an Israeli bringing in goods to sell on the street. In fact the Cuban Americans who are bringing stuff to their family members wrap their luggage with cellophane so they will know if the Cuban authorities have gone through it. I would be careful here, you want to fly under the radar in Cuba. I've been telling girls on facebook that I am posting their facebook links on this website and now girls are sending me friend requests. How many are real and how many are phone recharge scammers, I am hoping that someone here will soon check that out. One girl told me on facebook messenger that her profile photos are fake because she does not someone to steal her real photos and then she sent me a "real" photo. Who knows. Seeing is believing.

I believe that many people have some confusion about the law in Cuba regarding sex. These are the relevant citations from the Cuban penal code, translation courtesy of Google Translate.

The Cuban Penal Code:

https://www.wipo.int/edocs/lexdocs/laws/es/cu/cu004es.pdf

Article 299.1. He who commits acts of active pedophilia using violence or intimidation, or taking advantage of the fact that the victim is deprived of reason or felt or unable to resist, is sanctioned with deprivation of liberty of seven to fifteen years.

2. (Modified) The sanction is deprivation of liberty for fifteen to thirty years or death:

A) if the victim is a minor under 14 years of age, even when they do not attend the made the circumstances provided in paragraph 1.

B) if as a consequence of the fact, serious injuries or illness result;.

C) if the act is carried out by a person who has previously been sanctioned for the same crime.

Article 303. (Modified) It is sanctioned with deprivation of liberty of three months to a year or a fine of one hundred to three hundred installments to which:

C) produce or circulate publications, prints, tapes cinematographic or recording, recordings, photographs or other objects that are obscene, tending to pervert or degrade customs.

Article 305. The one that has sexual relation with a single woman older than 12 years and under 16, using abuse of authority or deception, incurs a sanction of deprivation of liberty from three months to one year.

Article 310.1. (Modified) The one that uses a person under 16 years of age, of either sex, in prostitution or in practice of acts of corruption, pornographic, heterosexual or homosexual, or others of the dishonest conduct of those provided for in this Code, incurs a sanction of deprivation of liberty from seven to fifteen years.

Here are links to more profiles of Cuban women. I have tried to choose those which in my opinion look more "real" however I cannot personally vouch for anyone. I am hoping that hard working members will soon make the sacrifice and do the needed research, up close and personal. I am also wondering if Facebook is the best method to find women today in Cuba or are there other better ways of doing it. I just keep sending as many friend request as facebook will allow. I am now over a thousand female Cuban facebook friends and for the past couple of weeks I have about ten more each day sending me friend requests. I have a feeling that Cuban girls are now using this actively as a way to market themselves; sort of a covert Cuban backpage or Craig's list.

My advice would be to go to the clinic around 7 am to avoid the huge lineup.

Took mine last Saturday, and had my result at 2 pm on Sunday.

Having spent a month in Cuba without seeing barely any tourists, also knowing that it's the second most vaccinated country in the world (after the UAE), and 99% of Cubans wearing masks, inside and outside, I would have been pretty unlucky to test positive. LOL.

I have a trip planned for end January, and whilst I still have a list of spots from previous visits (last one in 2018) I'm aware that some of these will probably have shut down altogether, others may not yet have reopened, but new ones have sprung up instead. LOL.Vaccinated with what and for what? If their vaccine were any good, they would be selling it to anyone, they've been trying to dupe countries from the beginning when they said they had the cure (interferon).

My daughter, after the third shots, got the virus real bad. Most of my family got it too and, four people I knew personally (among them a dear friend from my youth) died from it. In the other hand, in the country where I live, with the higher number of cases (infections and death), I only know of a few cases of infections and one death. To be in the safe side, do not believe everything the government there says. They tend to be a whole lot better on "paper" than in real life. My daughter is ready to go to Haiti if she could. She scared me the other day, she told me "if I find a reliable about, I'll be on the way, no second thoughts. ".

I am wondering if it's the opposite: Due to US imposed restrictions there are few passengers going from Miami to Havana while from Madrid to Havana there are many more. (My flight would be Tel Aviv. Madrid. Havana.)

I am not bothering to check my facebook profile anymore because I am overwhelmed with hot Cuban girl friend requests. I don't have time to bother with them. If even one in ten are real, then I am ready to go. But first I want to see some good detailed reports from mongers on the ground. How much money do the girls want? How are casa owners reacting to female overnight guests? Are the police chasing girls always from foreigners?

For what it's worth, this Facebook photo gives a very positive impression and mentions the exact location of the festivities.

You are correct that it is virtually impossible to book Viazul tickets online. In the past, there was room on most buses, but my preference was to go to the bus station the day before I left and buy my ticket (s). They are inexpensive, but depending on the time, you may have a wait. You will need your passport.

Keep in mind that Viazul is designed for tourists. Cubans can use the national bus system (which is even cheaper) or Viazul, but mostly use the national system. The Viazul buses are a little nicer, although by American standards they are second tier. I have found them acceptable.

The Viazul terminal used to be across the street from the Zoo. Indeed, much of the internet information still references it as such. However, shortly before the pandemic, the Viazul terminal was moved into the National Bus Terminal, which is in Vedado. (Which I think is actually more convenient.) I suggest double checking on its location. Your taxi driver will know. Just make sure he understands that you are looking for Viazul (not just the bus terminal).

There will likely be a stop half way through your trip, wherever you are going. It will be much longer than necessary for a rest stop, as the bus driver will get a free meal for stopping there.

Viazul is a good way to see the country. Enjoy your trip.

I guess our kind of girls are easily recognisable. But can you tell me any other popular places where I can check the local talent? And what are the usual rates for ST or whole night? I tried to find such an info bud sadly did not find any.

Expect full report with the actual places and prices when I come back.

Expect full report with the actual places and prices when I come back. Not sure what you are expecting. But it is a cat and mouse game on the streets. Gals won't even look at you if there are police around. And they won't walk with you, generally don't want to talk very long. And they will not be obvious in any way.

Don't know if any of the music clubs are open, but other than that there are no places you can go to check local talent.

Rates I have no idea. I have not been there since before pandemic, and rates were in CUC which don't exist any more.

Are you fluent in Spanish? You will not find gals that speak English normally.

Cell service may be spotty or non existent. Same with wifi. Sometimes hard to find although if you stay at a hotel you can usually buy some time.

A local cab driver or tout of some kind may be able to hook you up, but you will pay. Anyone that talks to you wants something, usually involving money.

Sorry, but it's a tough place to work this game. But once you know your way around and can communicate well enough it can be rewarding.

If your street instincts are good you are going to find the location on the Malecon pretty fast there is a square near Persevencia and the Malecon with benches, and if the police are not cracking down the girls will be walking up and down anyway. Don't forget they want to meet you too. Just make eye contact and if they avoid you, then they're probably not working. If you suspect they might be don't approach them directly but hang around the area, they are really good at it and will probably make their way over to you. I've heard through a friend who lives there that things are pretty much wide open again but you're about to find out.

Rates I have no idea.In Cuba the girls respond to a whistle. Like whistling for a dog. Not offensive like in other feminist countries. And they will follow you to your casa particular (private residence or room) walking about 30 feet behind. If you get a cab you may have to tip the driver $10 because they know what is going on and could report the girls. $20-$40 is reasonable for all night. No BB, strictly with condoms. Their government puts out TV ads on their local govt channel. First offense, the girls get a ticket and no jail. Second time they get 30 days in detention, like a jail.

Thanks, hard to believe they turn down us money as that's all that is sent over their from all the Florida strippers!!They don't want the money sent directly to our relatives but to a type of card that our relatives can only use to shop in their stores where they sell everything way over priced. Let's put it this way, we Cubans living in USA wouldn't pay those prices here in this country, but we have too many Cubans allowing them to take advantage of us. As for me, I haven't sent any money since Western Union stopped to operate there.

Even if you take Euros with you, the exchange rate with the government sucks and they're beginning to criminalize the "black market" exchange which right now is over 100 CUP to the dollar and Euro while the "government" gives you 20 something CUP to the Euro.

I think I have two or three posts. Send them friend requests, then send their friends friend requests, etc.

I have no idea how many are actually female or are posting authentic photos. All will request phone recharges however obviously don't give money to anyone you have not physically met.

Also, this youtube video regarding prostitution in Havana is only 10 days old. In the comments the creator told me that it's still $30 a night.

As of now, USD100 is around 10500 MN and Euro100 is around 10700 MN. Notice the big jump? Do the math and tell me which currency is better.

Long time listener and first time caller LOL. I have been RTFF, but a lot has changed since the pandemic and currency situation in Cuba, So I was hoping to ask some questions for those with boots on the ground.

I will be going to Havana in a few months and would really like to purchase some cigars. I will be touring a few of the cigar factories as well.

1. Can I purchase cigars directly from the factory gift shop or are those types of purchases only done at LCDH (la casa del habano) stores?

2. can a mlc card be purchased in the United States (where I live) or will only be able to purchase one when I get to Cuba?

3. Can I use US dollars in the country at restaurants and other non government owned places or should I get my currency exchanged on the black market for cup or should I take euros or Canadian dollars?

4. I have heard recently that LCDH shops are only accepting non US credit cards, is this the only option currently?

5. how can purchases be made at the "duty free" store at the departure area after the x ray (also heard only non US credit cards may be used)?

In regards to the currency, a lot has changed over the last year and I would genuinely appreciate anyone that can help out.

Moneda nacional was the name of the currency in order to distinguish it in the past from CUC, which was Cuban Convertible Currency, which no longer exists.

Most of the fb profiles you mentioned before are the same kind. I chatted with some of them to see. Girls trying to sell fake pics of Colombian girls in order to get a recharge. Cuban girls have been famous for that now thanks to stupid mongers sending money for naked pics and vids which can be found all over the internet for free.

Just out of curiosity, what can you sell in Cuba? I live in Israel and have an Israeli passport. I can freely travel to Cuba.Last time I was there, even like the simplest things you wouldn't think twice about in my country could become a luxury item in Cuba due to the planned economy.

For example, I was told that hair ties and hair pins (which they sell by the whole bag in my country) is an item that is somewhat hard to get. Hygiene items like toothbrush, toothpaste, razors, etc are also hard to get. Apparently beef is super expensive and controlled, so when I brought a bag of Costco beef jerky people were treating it like some delicacy. And simple things like Hershey's chocolate were sought after. A good pair of socks could fetch $3-5 dollars on the black market.

But I wouldn't bother selling things, though. I would just bring small items like that as gifts to give out to people I meet and people who help me. I imagine if you're from Israel you probably live a lot better than the average Cubans so why would you want to waste your limited time of your Cuban trip trying to sell small items when you can just be enjoying yourself?

But are there any reliable guides Q+As in terms of current nightlife / best accomodation options for company? Are hotels in Havana generally guest friendly? I'm guessing the casa particarles are not?

Sorry for the noob questions.

I'll keep working through things here.

Any high level info / nightlife / accommodation hotspots for this hobby would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Thanks.Hopefully others with more recent experience will respond, but hotels may not be guest friendly, it depends on the relationship with police and current climate for that. Sometimes the government is cracking down on prostitution, other times ignoring it, and generally getting their cut (police that is).

Casa particulares vary. Most will at least tell you that guests have to be registered, sort of. One host told me that he had had problems in the past with a guest that got robbed by 2 girls in his apartment, and he had been in some trouble for not having collected their names. He told me to wake him up, any time of the night, if I came back with a chica as he needed to record their ID.

This is PERFECTLY said! There's no need to deal with wack Facebook want to be girls. Its very simple to just walk the streets and meet plenty of chicas. Don't make it harder than what it really is.This is the most recent actual report I can find about meeting women on the street in Havana:

"Street action: I walked down La Rampa twice during my stay. I did see many women available, but also many police and cameras; was not worth my time to play the 'Cat and Mouse' game. It was the same on the Malecon. Others have had luck, but I had enough on my plate, so I didn't waste my time."

http://www.internationalsexguide.nl/forum/showthread.php?495-Havana&p=2427798&viewfull=1#post2427798.

However that is dated 02-25-2020; in other words just before COVID hit. Apparently at that time, the standard process was: visit certain nightclubs, give a woman your address, leave, she will show up at your address soon after. She will need to provide the apartment owner with her identity card. Give her 30 USD in cash for the night.

The question is: What is happening now? Same situation? Major changes? Obviously the poverty is much worse than two years ago and domestic unrest is greater so perhaps the police are easing up on prostitution. Or not.

Hi all.

So, I guess this is my 'hail mary' in terms of a trip to Havana. I live in Canada and have a work trip to the Southwest in May. I was hoping to take a week's vacation and travel to Cuba due to the obvious cost savings. I have been to Cuba once, in 2010, and I loved it there. If mongering weren't a consideration, I'd be going in a heartbeat for the music and for some Son classes alone (which I plan to do when I travel).

The thought of going to Cuba totally excites me, I love the country. But I also now factor in the opportunity to meet ladies when deciding on any trip. This is an important part of my trips as a long-time single guy having been stuck in Canada for the last two years due to COVID, apart from a quick trip to Tijuana recently.

I have just gone through the last 50 pages of comments. That sure was fun. During this time I have run the gamut of emotions. From "I need to get to Havana now" to "Havana is a terrible idea" - mainly the latter, sadly. From my destination in the Southwest, I can get to places such as Tijuana and Cartagena for half the price of a flight to Havana, but Havana is my ideal destination if mongering is not a consideration.

Full disclosure. My Spanish is non-existent, but I learnt enough to get by during my last trip to Tijuana and have 3 months to learn what I can. I'm also not great with approaching women, but I can. To be honest, I would be happy with one lady, maybe two, during a 5 day trip (which this will be). But I do want to get some reassurance that this at least could happen wihtout any major issues.

Another issue. My career, and the current stage of my qualifications, mean that any kind of arrest which would have to get back to my employer would likely signal the end of my job. It would also mean that my employment options in my curent city / province would be extremely limited. So much so that I may need to move. I'm not in a special role, but am in a very precarioius position in terms of qualification / money invested in getting where I am. All this is to say that I can't take any chances whatsoever in terms of being arrested.

I should stay away from Havana, right? As much as it is my ideal destination for non-mongering reasons, the fact that I will be actively seeking to meet ladies seems to put too much risk into things, in a current situation that doesn't sound to great right now, even if I wasn't worried about negative consequences.

From what I've read, Badoo may be an option, and I'd consider that. I'm not concerned with 9's, 10's etc. I just want some 7/8's company and time for a few of the nights that I'd be there.

Is arrest a real risk of meeting ladies in Havana right now? And, if not, for someone with average skills and little Spanish, is the chances of meeting 7's /8's a realistic possibility with a 5 day trip (I. E with little time to put in groundwork to build up a base of contacts)?

If I didn't love Cuba, I wouldn't be making such an effort to try to get some positive indications that my trip would be fruitful. I can just as easily head to Colombia or Tijuana for less cost and be relatively happy. But I really want to get back to Havana for other reasons. I just want to make sure that mongering is still likely to be positive, and relatively risk-free, given my circumstances above.

Sorry, a bit of a weird post. Hopefully you understand where I'm coming from.

Thanks.

I have lived in five LatAm countries and I come on this thread and all I can say is WTF. Why go to Cuba when you have so many other alternatives where toothpaste is available and commercial sex is legal? I fucked a Cubana in Buenos Aires and she was a dead fish, and a drunk. Obviously that is a sample size of one, but is the pussy there really worth putting up with all kinds of bullshit? It just sounds like a lot of hassle for no real reason.

I've hired Mexicans, Columbians, Venezuelans, Americans and Cubans in my five years or so of mongering. Cubans were the best followed closely by Columbians. Then the Mexicans, then Vennies and of course last the Americans. Cuban girls are special and I miss them. Fucking Covid.

Cuba is a bit rough for comfort seekers. But the girls are GOLDEN!

That said, I never liked Havana. I enjoy our hobby in 2nd tier towns and provinces. Things are more relaxed there than Havana including girls vs cops.

I get mistaken for a Cuban / Latino so I don't attract much attention. Sometimes the chicas don't realize I'm a foreigner until I'm engaging them! And I'm fluent in conversational Spanish. So if you don't know how to order food comfortably in spanish it will detract from enjoying Cuba.

Things I miss about Cuba:

1- Cigars.

2- 25 cents cheese pizza. LOL.

3- College students especially from other towns living in the dorms.

4- Son cubano in Santiago.

5- Buying eggs in the blk market. LOL.

6- Hunting fresh province chicas arriving at the train station in Camagüey!

I really think Cuba should not be your first destination especially with little Spanish. Hit a few other Spanish speaking spots like DR, PERU, Colombia. Etc then you'll be ready and appreciate the GOLD!

P. s: How difficult is it now for Americans to pay for daily expenses there? Any fellow americanos out there since the new payment system has been deployed?

My complicating factor is that I'm not a US citizen but need to fly back into the US to get my independently-booked flight back to Canada.I have been to Havana 16 times, and have always used the Support the Cuban People for my reason for travel to Cuba, and never had any issues or questions from anyone including authorities.

I just came back from Havana on Monday no issues at all. This is like my 20th trip down in the last 5 years. No real questions asked when I arrived in the us they said why did I go an I said to visit a family friend that was it.

It just sounds like a lot of hassle for no real reason.I agree, I am not afraid of tough environments, I have plied my trade in the rough ends of places from Riga to Jakarta, and had fun in them all, even though frequently I didn't speak a word of the local lingo. I still recall with fondness the night I spent in long impassioned conversation with two stunning girls in Yangon, even though neither I nor they could speak each other's language, what we discussed I have no idea but it all ended up advantageous for all concerned.

In the early 2000's I had reason to frequently visit North America and the first time having heard so much about Cuba I scheduled a visit, I learned Spanish in school and can get by. I stayed in the Hotel Nacional, and given that these were the days before ISG I was shocked to discover that I couldn't bring guests back. Really, I am an adult in my 30's, staying in a supposedly five-star hotel and I am being treated like I am back in my college dorm? All the white-jacketed waiters and mojitos on the lawn don't make up for that indignity. Hey-ho I went to the Commodore (is that the name?) and was impressed by what was on offer, less impressed by the arrangement of how to get what I wanted, waking up some poor family at 1 am so that they could rent me a bedroom in their shabby apartment.

Lesson learned, next visit I rented my own apartment, pretty grim, but I kind of got what I wanted, but on the whole it was rushed and impersonal. None of this hot Latina passion they tell me about.

Giving it one last bash a year later, I did both, stayed at the Nacional and rented an apartment (I am not stingy with the cash when I know what I want). Sheesh, things had got even worse. The Commodore had closed, I met two nice chicas, so I thought, on the Malecon, we got chatting they asked for some cash, sure I am a generous guy and gave them a few dollars and asked them to accompany me to the apartment where they could earn some more. I was told to * off and they wandered away with their measly handful of dollars.

That night I met a "young" lady with slightly faded looks but who still had the body of the dancer that she once was. We had a couple of drinks and she agreed to accompany me back to my place. Back there, she proceeded to take out some crystal meth, which she began to grind on the metal kitchen table. Under the bare bulb hanging from the ceiling I could see she was a lot older and more careworn than she appeared in the bar, that combined with the thought of a raid by the cops (perhaps she worked with them) to arrest the gringo with drugs, I paid her off and showed her the door. I went back to the hotel and settled for a mojito on the lawn.

I never felt the need or desire to return to Cuba again. Sure, the regulars will post about how us lily-livered sex tourists don't know how to find real Cubanas, how we need to put the effort in, how we have to go here, do this, say that, and then we'll get all the passionate sex we want.

Yeah, whatever, there's the whole of the rest of Latin America and Asia awaiting me with none of that shit and hassle. Good luck to the long-term residents, enjoy living in a clapped-out country where toilet paper is a luxury but the girls still get to be so picky. The rest of us have a whole world out there and we don't need that sort of dicking around.

Hi all.

I've read through the last 100 pages of posts here. I've also looked at the licence requirements to travel from the US and I'm comfortable that I'll have an itinerary that will satisfy the "support for the Cuban people" category.

So. I'm travelling to Havana in May! This will be my second trip. My first trip was in 2010 and was purely non-mongering related (I didn't even know what a monger was at that point). This trip is also not monger-centric. I am travelling with no expectation of meeting a chica. But if I were to find a novia for my trip, it wouldn't be unwelcome.

A few questions:

Is anyone here likely to be in Havana during the last 2 weeks in May? It would be great to meet up for some company.

Would anyone be willing to share any casa particular (entire place) recommendations that are guest friendly? I've been searching airbnb and I have a few shortlisted that don't have any strict rules, but having contacted them, they have all said that guests need to register. I get that response. But hoping to find someone friendly who won't mind one, two maybe three guests during different points on my trip.

Does anyone have good contacts with a huster or two who I can perhaps chat / meet with to show me some of the better clubs and / or chicas? I'll only be there for 5 days and a lot of the daytime will be activities which will be "supporting the Cuban people" so my actual downtime will be limited. It woudl be good to get a head start in terms of connecting with one or two guys who can help facilitate a pleasant downtime.

Thanks all.

Thanks all. When they say that guests have to be registered I wonder what that means. When I stayed in a casa particulare a few years back they said they had to register anyone I brought in, but not the same as being registered as a co-guest. Might need clarification. It also could be an airbnb thing, I'm not sure how they operate in Cuba. I know that the casa particulares all had to be government licensed before they could display the little symbol for a casa particular, and their fees were also regulated. I'm assuming airbnb has to fall under that system as well. But I don't know for sure.

I know latam from the 4 years I have been here so I speak with authority that Cuba is worth the challenge if you are up to it.But have you been anywhere else in LatAm? I live in Guatemala and can get everything you people talk about in Cuba and there is plenty of toilet paper, I don't have to lie about why I am here, there is food on the shelves in the grocery store, and so forth. And it's not ridiculously hot.

I am Cuban by birth and have plenty of family and friends there, it could be very convenient for me to go there, see my family and monger but I don't for the same reason you stated. Since I left the island, I've only been back once, that was more than enough for me. Cuba is not worthy and if I wanted to be with a Cuban woman, we have plenty of them in Miami and elsewhere.

I heard that when "Cuba" first opened up, the ladies were cheap and compliant but as you know, once stupid mongers start to go to any place, quality and service goes down.

Since 2015 I only travel to the Dominican Republic were I have a relationship with a regular woman.

Might need clarification..The casa owners have no problem with you bringing chicas over to visit or even overnight as long as you register them. But they are in serious trouble if an unregistered guest (chica) is found inside their casa. The problem is that the chicas do NOT want to be registered. If their name shows up more than a few times in these registers (which are monitored by the government) they are thought to be selling sexual services. And that's not allowed.

If I know you (and I do LOL) you are probably going there to support the people of Cuba.Right now it's hard to find an available seat to Cuba (and out of Cuba). Cubans (living out of Cuba) are buying tickets at any price, and Cubans (living in the island) are paying over $3,000 for a plane ticket that would get them to Nicaragua!

They know who the putas are, the registration "thing" is more to control the "casa" owner than to know who is going to the casa. Do you know that the owner can even lose the house if they don't comply with the regulations?

I have never read the Havana thread before but it's possible I may pay a visit in late March. I have a flight to Honduras and Bay of Islands from US this Saturday, March 5th, and will stay for about 9 days. Then, I will visit some jungle mountains areas near the town of La Ceiba, a large port city off the coast of the Bay of Islands. Originally, I was going to return to US via Roatan (one of the bay islands) to US but noticed La Ceiba actually has a direct flight to the Cayman Islands (at $250 j with their national airline, Cayman Airways. It's only about 1 1/2 but more importantly it also flies to Havana from Gran Cayman. The latter flight is only one hour to Havana and a Sunday flight one way is about $200.

Well, I certainly know I don't want to stay long in the Caymans. The hotel prices are outrageous and apparently there is zero mongering or P4 P with a limited night life. So perhaps two nights and onward to Cuba where Havana AIR BNB showed some very nice places under $40 per night. As a result, I decided to check out this thread, I went back about 9 pages to early September and was disappointed to find hardly any discussion about where to find chicas. No discussion of bars or clubs and it mainly consisted of walking around and eyeing up girls and hope the cops are not around plus a few tutorials about how to get a chick in a casa particulares.

Most of the discussions here seemed to center around the currency being used, which was helpful since I did not know US currency can be used now and may be worth more than Euros according to one poster. Also, some lively discussions about the switch to MN from Cuc and the excessive cost of airline flights into Havana from Florida, US and Europe. Since I am coming from the south, I may have dodged a bullet there but I'did see a one way flight on JetBlue to FLL from Hav for about $260. I should note that I have never been to Cuba but can speak a bit of Spanish but not fluent though know enough verbs, grammar, and common words to get around. But when the discussions centered around meeting girls, prob fake, from FB posts contacts but no discussion of sites like Tinder, bars, clubs etc. Or do they simply not exist? Is the prime way to meets chicas is simply like walking around? If so where, the Malecon, different plazas? Anyway, inquiring minds want to know.

Ok. Rant over. Would be interested in any comments on how to meet girls and fun things to do or visit in Havana? Should I consider other places like Trinidad or Cienfuegos etc.

I suppose Russians are pretty thin on ground now due to the Ukraine war but perhaps some could not get out or are broke?

I read elsewhere that their numbers are up and the Canadians are down due to Covid etc. But now that the sanctions have taken place, perhaps that increase will change permanently.

I read elsewhere that their numbers are up and the Canadians are down due to Covid etc. But now that the sanctions have taken place, perhaps that increase will change permanently.Canadian numbers of tourists were way down because of Covid. That will change next winter season if nothing goes backward with getting over Covid restrictions. But Canadians generally stay in the all inclusive resorts, very few venture into Havana for more than a sightseeing tour.

As for finding bars and clubs, etc. And there not being reports. Could be because there have been none operating and virtually no one going to Havana. It has been very difficult to do so. But if you go back a couple of years in the reports there would be talk of the various music club venues, etc. How many remain in operation is unknown, and whether they allow working girls to operate in that way is unknown (to me anyway). A fun activity in Havana is finding somewhere you can buy a tasty meal. That is gold. Or it might be walking down a street in an area that has had no recent restoration done, and a girl calls from a doorway, and you go in to a falling down old commercial building, and she leads you across a bridge over a spot where the floor has collapsed, and knocks on a door and talks a short bit. And then the family that lives there comes out and goes somewhere else while she and you rent their bedroom for 20 minutes. A bit of adrenaline and sex can be fun.

Anyway, its not like you go bar hopping and pick up a gal at a bar somewhere for the night, or for an hour. But, if your Spanish is good enough, and if you have time, you can find your way around and fun.

Thanks for the advice recently about my potential upcoming trip.

I've decided against it for the time being. Partly because of the current unknowns in terms of clubs, ladies. But mainly because my spanish isn't where I'd want it to be to speak to (non-working) women. It was a tough decision because I love Cuba and would be happy going for a week for the music / dance alone. But with my own carnal drought during COVID, I've decided to prioritize that and go for the 'sure thing' of Medellin, with the compensation of still partaking in some cuban salsa / son one-on-one lessons when I am there.

But I hope that in the near future that my Spanish fluency will be much improved and that there will be an improvement in general conditions and reports. I will continue to read this thread with particular interest.

Thanks again.

So this is my hail mary. I'm not making a joke of that.

I REALLY want to travel to Havana in May. I'm visiting the Southwest then, which makes a trip to Havana significantly less expensive than normal. Normally, I'd be happy for a 5 day trip to be purely about 'supporting the Cuban people', salsa / son classses in particular. But COVID has resulted in a distinct lack of intimacy and, frankly, if I have the choice of a non-P4 P trip versus a P4 P trip, I have to choose the latter.

I've RTFF for 100 pages and, as in inexperienced visitor, I don't see any likelihood of meeting someone for comfort.

Can anyone speak to the current availalbiliy of finding female company in Havana? (by PM if necesary). To be clear, I really want to visit Havana, but I also want to meet one or two locals to enhance my time in Cuba. I don't generally do clubs, nor am I particularly attracted to club ladies.

Thanks.

Hello friends,

I am going to take the dive and try my luck in Havana.

I plan to travel the last week of March.

Any and All advice is appreciated. Anyone have a tour guide they recommend?

I've already met several good prospects online via Tinder.

I need advice on Best location to try and stay in Havana for reasonable price and fun?

Please advise any hotels or apartments etc to rent per your recommendation?

Thanks in advance for any help or advice in these regards.

Salute!

Is anyone willing to share (privately) one or two recommendations for a casa particular on airbnb? See $50-$80 per night, private entrance, understanding host? I'm weeding through the thousands of entries on airbnb but always end up down a rabbit hole with some of the wording and some of the responses of the hosts don't really clarify matters such as to being able to come and go without any interaction or registration. I like my privacy.

He seemed very nice and very understanding about having female visitors however I don't believe that anyone will put in writing that they will allow unregistered visitors. That's apparently a fairly serious crime.

You can send them a WhatsApp message. They will send you photos of girls and discuss prices. All were happy to provide a girl for two weeks, 24/7, for 1,000 euros. All girls are willing to register with the casa particular owner.

I haven't yet been to Havana to actually try this, however if anyone does try them, please let us know. They sounded legitimate to me.

Gentlemen, can anybody in Havana give me an update about the best places to go on the prowl?

I used to visit the city very often, but now have not been there since before March, 2020.

What are the best bars, restaurants, clubs, streets, areas, etc. these days to track down some ladies -- working girls mainly (other otherwise)? I don't even know what's still open after the long shutdown there.

Thank you in advance for your responses!

I don't think I will have much free time this trip, but hope to have an afternoon to enjoy with someone. Last time I was in Cuba was 2016 and it was easy to find someone on the Malecon. No idea what it will be like this time.

What I am seeing though is that the CUP is now at about 103 to the dollar and MLC carda are 114. Here is a link for other to track the going rates:

Also, laat time I was there, it was easy to find money exchangers in Parque Fe del Valle. Will report back if that is still true. Sounds like just sticking with Dollars or Euros will be best for the most part.

Hello!

Just returned yesterday from 10 day trip Cuba.

USD is King. Most people ask for dollars. 100 cuc to 1 usd was street rate. Most would not take Euros or Canadian. I had both.

Make sure you get a sim card. WIFI / internet almost non existent. Cell service worst country I ever visited.

Be ready for gas shortages and food shortage. Not much meat. Lots of rice, beans and bananas. You cannot hardly buy bottled water, if you see it, stock up.

Many taxis will exchange money for you.

Met my girls on Tinder.

Nice, pretty and sweet.

Airbnb best place for getting apartment / room.

Had ocean view, balcony. 13th floor, beautiful view $35/ night. No problem girls. Plus can pay on credit card usd.

Will give better report later.

Watch out for scammers, girls / guys.

Remember, must take enough cash for trip if US credit card etc.

Happy Hunting!

Met my girls on Tinder.

Nice, pretty and sweet.Great, how much did you pay them? Do they prefer there Short-time (1 h sex, then leaving) or can you have them for a longer time like a Holiday-Girlfriend (staying the night, making trips)?

And how would you compare the Personality and Quality of Sex of Cuban women with the women from other countries of Latin America (Caribbean, DomRep, Colombia)?

I have always understood that the Cuban police were the main obstacle standing between foreign men and dollar hungry Cuban girls and being seen publicly with a foreigner or staying in his apartment (which meant registering with the owner) were good ways for girls to land in jail. Has that all gone away now?

Hi mate any news from Havana?

How was your trip? Were there shortages of seafood and lobster? How about chicken and pork. The beef has never been very good anyways. What about restaurants, bars and clubs? Are many closed up? No bottled water is a bad sign.

I just got back last night, 4 day trip after 2 years of not going. Was good to be back in Cuba. Went with a Buddy from New York who only spoke English. I speak both so it made it easy. His first trip. My 50th or 60th trip. He loved it.

I actually found Cuba in better shape than I expected. I stay mostly in the Miramar area. I like walking to the Comodoro, Melia Havana hotel and the Business center. Always a chica around for a quick pick up and lots of restaurants and bars to walk to. $30 a night for a nice quiet casa in that area that is walking distance from everything. It's a very safe area.

I did not run into too many shortages. At least any shortages that affected me. I was able to find restaurants stocked with at least Chicken, Pork, Fish, rice and beans. Plenty of beer. That's all need. I did hear of hygiene product shortages but I had my own.

Cuba sim card is definitely worth getting. I was able to stay connected and even have you tube for music and videos. I had my Cuban Contact buy me a sim card so that when Landed in Havana I was ready to go as soon as I was outside the airport.

I have a new driver, Nice very dark young lady with a decent car. I paid her $60 a day She was always just a phone call away. She probably would have taken $50 but I thought $60 was fair enough. She also exchanged money with her at $100 Cuban pesos for a $1. At that rate things become cheap. I had lobster meal in old Havana for $6. LOL Daquieri at la Flordita used to $6 now $1. 80 at the new exchange rate. Oh Yea do not exchange in the banks. I am not sure what the rate is there but I heard 25 to one. You will easily find people willing to buy your dollars at $100 to 1. I exchanged once right in front of the flordedita for 110 to 1. I did not run into to many scammer but maybe because I speak Spanish they stay away from me. As with any any third world country always be aware of your surrounding however I do find Cuba much safer that any other Latin American country I have visited. I do suggest not to walk around with your cel phone in your hand. Keep it in your pocket when walking. If stopping to take a pick, Take the pick and put it back in your pocket.

I got my chicas on FB. Once you become friends with one of them, you will have access to all of their facebook friends were you can see their pics before you contact them. Going rate for me was about $50. Rarely do I spend less than that. Can you get them for 30 or 40? Probably but I'm not real cheap with mine chicas. I even got me a few female athletes that train every day. I spent a bit more on them but they were worth every penny. I try to be fair and these are usually girls I have been in contact with for a while.

Day trip to the beach with the driver was well worth it. Fresh snapper meal for us $ 16 oceanside. A bargain. Found a nice chica at the beach and back to my place.

Clubs and bars are working, Plenty of chicas.

If you need a good driver with a car let me know. She was worth the $$. I accidentally left my keys to the casa in her car and she contacted me to return them. If that had been a regular cab I would have never gotten them back.

As far as currency you will be good with either US $ or Euros. I am not sure about Canadian dollars. I would ask first. Forget about us Credit cards. They don't work.

I will upload some pics later today, any questions feel free to PM.

I am going to try to go back mid to late July let me know if you want to tag along. Flying out of Tampa on Southwest.

I probably had 10 to 12 girls in 4 days.

Viva la revolucion!

Viva la revolucion!First of all: fantastic report! Thank you!

However what about the police? Can I simply approach an attractive girl in a club, on the street, wherever and walk with her back to my Airbnb without the cops harassing her? And are the girls willing to register with the apartment owner?

Secondly what do you get for $50? One hour? Uncovered blow job? What is the attitude of the girls?

Excellent read. Thank you for being so specific. As you seem very knowledgeable on Havana could you please share the driver details.

I am going in a couple of weeks and it seems like a great idea to have a driver.

Also, would you mind sharing some chicas details as well?

And any other bars, please?

Thanks again for your thorough assessment of the current Cuba. I has been extremely helpful so far.

Secondly what do you get for $50? One hour? Uncovered blow job? What is the attitude of the girls? The Police will bother the girls, best to have them meet you at your Airbnb or all of Jump in car. On the street You can go up to a girl at any time just make sure no Police are around. They police will do nothing to you so don't worry. Its the girls they like to bother. Don't get her in trouble. As far as bars and restaurants, the police do not enter those places unless there is a specific reason to. Like a fight or some type of disturbance.

The Airbnb I stay at in Miramar do not ask for the girl to register. In fact I had a completely private entrance so the owner does not even see me enter. I would not stay at any that would insist the girl register with the owner.

For $50 the girl will usually stay as long as needed. I have never felt rushed when I pick up on the streets. One thing I like about Cuban women is most do not rush you. When picking up at night at bars and clubs you will find the pros. They will want $100 and up and they will rush you so I stay away from the night action. Find one during the day and have her come back at night. My advise is to Stay away from the Clubs all together as far as mongering goes.

Thanks again for your thorough assessment of the current Cuba. I has been extremely helpful so far.Driver is a great idea, she can also supply you with neighborhood chicas, not pros.

I have no problem sharing driver detail. PM just please don't contact unless you are sure you are traveling. They get a lot men hitting them up that have no real plans on going and turn out to be a waste of time.

As far as bars go, Walk around old Havana in particular Obispo Street during the day or early evening, any girl that catches your attention just go up to her. Invite her for a drink and from there she is all yours. The Comodoro shopping Center and Hotel has a nice new Open air bar that operates during the day. Free to get in and cheap beer. I am sure you will find some girls there. I don't go out to bars or clubs as night I stay away from the pros those are the ones you will run into problems with.

Sorry I can't help you much with the nightlife, I'm usually with a chica by 10 pm in my casa with a bottle of rum. I am sure the driver can recommend a few good spots for the night action. Oh I did hear that the club at the Hemmingway Marina works on the weekends at night. That's always been a good spot to pic up local girls. I had many a good times there with out any problems. I think there is also a good daytime bar at the marina. I would have your driver with you when you venture out at night. Its good that they see who you are bringing home. I am attaching a pic of the Driver girl.

He was extremely understanding about my plans to meet girls and apparently there is a separate entrance. The ad says: "Designed to enjoy it with total privacy. " However when asked the owner explained that by law guests must register with him. However maybe he just had to say that?

So my trip ended up being a bust. I only had 1 short window of freedom and wasn't able to find anyone on short notice. I tried sitting at Hotel Inglaterra and I did see about 5 or 6 women walk by who seemed to be looking for some business but they not ones I wanted to spend money on.

As for money, that I did get a good handle on. Forget about Plaza Fe del Valle. I did not find anyone there. I did get a couple "change money" whispers on the pedestrian street between Hotel Inglaterra and Plaza fe del Valle. But where I got the most offers was over by Plaza de la Catedral. Found one guy who was reliable right near El Rum Rum. Got 100 pesos per USD there when Eltoque was saying the average value was 108 or so.

Casa owners were offering 80 to 90 CUP per Dollar which was pretty weak.

But really your best bet is to try to find someone who is about to try to get to the US. A friend from a prior trip was getting ready to fly to Nicaragua and then transit Mexico and was liquidating everything. I think I could have easily gotten 110 or 120 if I wasn't that friendly.

Also as the other person mentioned, there seemed to be some bottled water scarcity, so if you see some, buy some.

Food scarcity was the typical. Just ask restaurant staff what they do not have and then assume the next 2 things you also ask for they won't have. Rum, fruit, and juice are all still in great supply.

WiFi was also much more prevalent. Half the places I stayed had it for free.

I wasn't trying to bring guests back, but most owners will want to cover their ass and do not want to get caught with girls in their place. Somy best recommendation is to read between the lines and see if it is a whole place and private or shared entrance or what. Ask if you can bring a French woman over without issues or something along those lines. Or just don't ask at all until you are there.

I looked at the link from your Airbnb and I don't see a private entrance. Also from what I remember many of the casas in that specific area are a bit strict with bringing girls into your casa with out showing ID. If you ask them straight out they may respond with an answer to cover their ass. I would not recommend that Airbnb for what you are trying to do. I can send you a link to a better Airbnb that works for the hobby but it will be in the Miramar area. A 1 bedroom apt all to yourself. The owner does not even live in the area. I would also not mention to them about bringing girls to the casa. They know what you are there for. No need to tell them.

Tried to subscribe but seems like a very hard work buying bitcoins etc.

Could you please try to send me contact details of the driver girl.

I would like to use her for a full week. Perhaps she can meet me at the airport and then drive to Miramar.

I'm in Havana from next week. Supporting the Cuban People. So I'm airbnb'ing.

I'd like to know if anyone would be willing to PM any details of an airbnb with ok wifi that will not give me any hassle if my friends come to visit. I do have an airbnb booked but I'm paying over the odds, purely because they provide a cellphone that you can use for a wifi hotspot. I don't plan to work much but I WILL have to check emails a few times and potentially download a couple of sizeable documents, so I wanted the security (as far as a promise on airbnb goes) that I'll have the best chance of being able to access the internet when I need to.

Most places with wifi advertised do not allow guests, and most that appear to permit guests do not advertise wifi! Looking for the airbnb unicorn LOL.

I'm low key, and will not be having parties or groups, or even that many friends. Maybe one or two. The Wifi is pretty important though and if I have to sacrifice having friends around to have a place with wifi, I will have to do that.

Can anyone help?

I would take the girl friendly apartment and bring your laptop to the lobby of the nicer hotels that have wifi you can connect to with an internet card that you can buy with wifi access on it. Please give us a report as to the conditions on the ground as to chicas, restaurants, clubs ect.

Can anyone help?If you only need to check email and get downloads a couple times per day just use one of the public wifi areas in parks or the big hotels. Your connection speeds will be better than a cellphone hotspot. You do need to buy internet access cards to use these public wifi hotspots. At least that was the system my last visit a few years ago.

And find an apartment you can easily bring in chicas. They are not that hard to find in Havana

Hi fellow travelers!

First post here!

It's been about 3 to 4 years since I visited last. Havana is not the same as before, tourism has just reopened and finding new friends has become a bit more difficult. I'm staying at an Airbnb in old Havana.

Hustlers are still annoying, I was trying to find some weed but the only thing they could find for me was "hachi" some brown little balls that are supposed to be mixed with cigarettes, anyway, it was all bullshit at the end. So don't even try.

Exchange rates are about 1:100, someone tried to give me 1:90 but I walked away and the guy left it at 1:100.

I walked around old Havana trying to meet some new friends but all I could find was 30-40 yo pros 3-5/10. Nobody I would like to spend time with.

Today I'm trying Miramar and in a couple days Santiago.

Like some other users mentioned bottle water is scarce so I would recommend bringing a life straw or Britta bottle.

All in all I'm disappointed, I've been traveling to Cartagena and Bogota so I'm used to young babes. I was supposed to stay here for a month but if things don't improve I'll cut my trip short and go to Colombia instead LOL.

I'll update how things are in Santiago and Holguin.

Peace.

Thanks for the report. Talk to some of the pedicab drivers in old town. Some of them know hot chicas. How are the restaurants doing? The restaurants leave much to be desired but a meal can be anywhere between 200-1000 pesos or 2-10 dollars. Many of the businesses closed, la rampa and malecon are essentially dead but I guess the government is investing because I saw like 5-10 buildings under construction throughout Havana.

I tried talking to some locals, I speak Spanish BTW. And one tried to introduce me to his "cousin" but she was in her 30's and had a belly and saggy tits so I passed, she did danced for me and was grinding her ass into my crutch so that was nice.

By the time I was leaving she followed me home, she said she was a masseuse and wanted to give a massage, tho earlier she said she wanted to eat my ass LOL, I politely declined but she followed me home. She wanted to get into my building and was starting to make a scene so I pushed her away and closed the door.

Maybe I'm just unlucky, I don't know.

It's been raining every day in the afternoon.

I hope I have better luck in Santiago.

When you want to support Cuban people stop using this American company taking high commissions and book your room from a taxi driver or street hawker. The old system for booking "casas particulares" was phone based. You could find places online on their site, but at their end they phoned the owners to check if they really were available for the dates you wanted. So it took a couple of days for a confirmation.

Not sure if enough people have access to the internet to use Airbnb for their places. And my guess is that those that do have to pay a fee directly to the government for this. When I was there the casas particulares had to pay 50% tax to the government almost immediately. Perhaps Airbnb has a similar deal with the Cuban government.

The point of booking before you get there is to know what you are getting, or that you have something. Using a street hawker or taxi driver to me is a very bad idea. Very bad. But perhaps you were not serious.

No questions on this one (I think).

Just planning an 8 day trip to Havana in November with my Filipinia girlfriend.

First (and last) trip to Havana was around 2004. Time seems to pass and before you know it you've gone from a youngish man, to an oldish one. (sigh).

I stayed at the Gran Hotel, had good drinks at Flordita, remember watching some salsa shows and other dancing places. The yellow coconut taxis on the street.

Couldn't talk to locals on the street much, or the cops would come ask them for their papers. One guy started talking to me on the Malecon and that exact thing happened.

As for girls, there was a place by the water at night? Or (god I forget) but it was outdoors. You paid to get in and there were lots of girls hanging about. Was fantastic! Tried to bring her back to the hotel and a big deal was made. I had to end up paying a security guard money to let her up the back and she could only stay a few hours he said. Shift change?

Switched to a local room in someone's house and from then on had no problems bringing girls. Was one of those fantastic trips that always stays with you and sort of haunts you. Of course all that is gone now. Just bare snippets of images left in my head.

Hoping this trip will be similar. The exchange rate from the informal market is fantastic. Curious if anyone knows or remembers the outdoor place?

Peace.Try your luck on Badoo, maybe you can find some hotties there. I haven't been to Cuba in a few years as well, but it has worked for me in the past. It was always a good back up.

Hoping this trip will be similar. The exchange rate from the informal market is fantastic. Curious if anyone knows or remembers the outdoor place?I guess it's the '1830' restaurant, where they have open air salsa concerts and tables, overlooking the sea.

A great place for the eyes, both for the place than the chicas!

I think the club you are referring is Johnnys Rio Club which is right outside of the Miramar Tunnel. Not sure if its out of business but that placed used to rock 15 -20 years ago.

1830 Restaurant is located near old fort, yes open air, loud music. East side of tunnel and North side Malecon Road.

Johnnies Rio Club actually West side of tunnel, 1 block off Malecon road, dance, drink, girls.

Good times.

Heading to Havana in a couple of weeks. Trying to figure out how much $$ to convert to Cuban pesos. Wondering if you pay the girls in USD or pesos? Any advantage in giving them pesos, since the exchange rate is so high? Or do they insist on dollars? Or does it not matter. Most girls I have met in Cuba have highly developed mental calculators and can do the conversion in an instant.

Second question: Heading out to Camaguey. Anyone know a driver, please let me know. Thanks. Agradezco mucho.

Where are the best areas and best bars to meet girls? I know Havana well but have not been since 2019. I'm looking for some accurate info about the best spots. Is La Rampa still have anything going on? Anywhere else in Vedado? How's Old Havana these days?

I prefer to avid Miramar but what's happening out that way?

Thank you in advance. Will report back to anybody with good information to share.

Cheers!

https://us.yahoo.com/news/havana-announces-blackouts-cancels-carnival-133618260.htmlTrue. If you're old enough to remember the special period days and early 2000's, you probably remember times like this. There were some obvious upsides but quality of life was not one of them.

Are you in Cuba, LN?

I just booked August 26 for 4 days. In need of a trip. Here is a pic of one that I met last trip 3 months ago. Great spinner body. I usually like then a bit bigger but she was fantastic. Super Horny Girl! She was down for anything! If any one wants to tag along on the trip PM me.

I am thinking of going soon for my birthday, August 13th. I have had three shit birthdays in the last three years because of an ex.

Is anybody going up real soon? I've been talking to a few on a Badoo. I know almost zero in Spanish, so it's interesting but I am a decent-looking guy and confident; I've been messaged by one girl who is a nine and her so-so friend at a 7 for a three-some and overnight stay over. They came back with a price of 7000 CUP, converted at a rate of 1-100 CUP, it's about 70 USD.

This is a fair price; thoughts? Concerns? They are both 18 and 19; they agreed to present ID and be registered.

Anybody with feet on the ground that can give a report of what its like out there?

How is La Rampa night life?

How are the restaurant and chica prices?

Is the oil fire causing blackouts in Havana?

Is it better to convert to pesos or just use USD? I also have 50 cucs, are they still any use?

Would appreciate any details aa to what its like out there in todays world.

La Rampa (23rd) and calle L where the 24 hour La Rampa cafeteria is. In that area you can find chicas. Also near Parque El Quijote. The cafeteria is reasonably priced. 400 pesos for a meal. I went with the chicken breast, also comes with a drink. 100 pesos for 1 USD is the norm but not at official government exchange locations. You will get 24/1. I heard from locals that you can still exchange CUC at banking locations but expect to probably get 24/1. Best to negotiate with a local or taxi driver. Most places take USD and will give pesos back in change 100/1. Same with taxis if you want change in pesos. Cubacel sim cards are 1000 pesos and are good for like 330 days unless you continue to load it to extend service. You can load phones on Ding. Taxis are cheap. I was able to get around for 300 pesos average. Also took coco taxi.

MongerHunger thanks for the info sounds like theres some work to do out there.

Is the 23 ave jazz club open with the english telephone entrance?

How are the cigar prices?

Is anyone out there right now that can give an update on the electricity situation? How bad is it? This is my biggest concern about planning my trip.

I found a good article about Cuba increasing exchange rates!

LaGruta can make a regular night into heaven LOL.

Strongly considering a trip in the coming time, hoping for some normalcy out there.

Also does anyone have contacts of recommended girls in Havana? So one of the girls was a blonde, slim; slender sent a photo of her minus the face on a sideward angle; and she sent a photo of her friend from behind on the bed. I also received a picture of both of them at what appears to be a club. They initially just gave me the rate in CUP; 7000 for overnight; 10,000 for sex again in the morning. Are these the girls?

I only really wanted the blonde, but she insisted on working with her friend; I mean, I've done worse but not usually when paying for it. Still mumbling it over at booking a last-minute trip; anybody in the area right now? I've got 2 5's at my best that want the cock for free; but I am not sure if I want the nightmares over it.

Surely, somebody must have some intel to share about the current scene. Two years is not that long of a time, but Cuba is no exception to the fact that the world was utterly different 2+ years ago. So, I ask again, what's the scene in Havana these days?

Flew in to Havana from NYC / Miami. Had no problem with uncomfortable questions. You check the box on line when you buy the ticket. When you check your bag, the lady at the ticket counter asks you again which category you are flying under. After that, no one gives a sh** why you are traveling. No one asked, either leaving or returning. Wondering why they even bother to make you go through the charade.

Spent three days in Havana, then three in Camaguey, then four more days in Havana. The culture has drastically changed, due to lack of tourists, lack of imports, and poor economy. Bars along Obispo are mostly closed or close at 5 PM. Difficult to find Cristal beer, and only saw Bucanero one time. Other, random beer imports are available. Beer now 2 to 3 bucks a can (as opposed to 1 dollar pre-pandemic). Real challenge is finding bottled water. Restaurants will have perhaps 25% of what is on the menu. The boutique restaurants like the'Next seem unaffected, although their prices are now on par with US prices (8 to 10 dollars for a standard breakfast with coffee.) Bargains are not what they once were, pre-pandemic.

First 3 days in Havana: stayed in Havana Vieja. Need to change $$ to pesos. Black market money changers on the street are everywhere. (In Havana they prefer Euros. In Camaguey they mostly looked for US dollars.) I was changing at 110 to 1. But be careful. Some money changers will try to short you. The wad of bills you are handed is ridiculous. Head back to your Airbnb to deposit the loot and then head back on the street to look for companionship. This is where the change is really visible. I like to stay in Havana Vieja because my friends are there. So walking around this area, there are very few girls out. Along Obispo I hardly saw any. In the evening, you could find some low quality girls along San Rafael (this is the pedestrian street that begins next to the Hotel Inglaterra). The street is crowded with locals who have money or are looking to make money. Frustrated by the limited options, I took a working girl back to my Airbnb and we had fun and all. She was about a 7 on my scale. Fun but not a real beauty. And that street is packed with locals at night, so a middle aged white guy stands out. Makes me a little uncomfortable.

Another very odd thing was that the Malecon was packed with people but I saw no working girls. Not like the pre-covid times. Also I saw no police. Not one. I walked it every night. The people were there because there was no lights or electricity in their homes, and so they come out to the Malecon to cool off with their partners or children. I also found few people drinking -- they just don't have the money to buy the booze. So, disappointed by any action along the Malecon, I found a few girls along El Prado, the pedestrian walkway connecting Parque Central to the Malecon. Like the Malecon, this area is jammed with people trying to cool down. And few if any police. The middle part is taken over by skateboarders. They are relentless. Mostly older teens and "Hip" youngsters who look and dress like goth teenagers, but are way into skateboarding. Also families and little kids. Found a young lady sitting in a doorway along the side, with a cute smile and playful personality, located closer to the Parque and sessioned twice with her. She was a non-pro, at least on the first night. Paid 4000 pesos plus tip, which is about 40 bucks. On the second night she must have spoken to someone because she raised her price. We negotiated and settled on 4500. (I am not going to quibble when this beautiful girl is willing to share her body with me and let me put my tongue wherever I want.) She looked cute in the babydoll clothes I brought down from the US for her. I say no-pro due to her age and the fact she never mentioned the word "condom". She also did not want to do oral on me, although for a tip she let me finish in her mouth. Hey -- got to have standards. Second night she was wearing the Underoos I brought down and didn't want to take the panties off when we fucked. She pulled them to the side and said, "Haven't you ever done it like this?" Well, so much for being a non-pro. Finished on her tiny tits and I was the happiest man in town.

Camaguey-- putting this here because I see few recent reports in the Camaguey section. Taxi to Camaguey cost 150 US. (Bus travel is complicated these days). I like Camaguey because, to me, the people are real and genuine. But now they are struggling mightily. Camaguey has major power outages. Bars owned by the state have no beer. None. Only rum. I began to drink the Cuba Libre out of despearation. El Cambio -- the signature bar for foreigners in town -- was dead due to no beer and no softdrinks and no power to run the fridge or the overhead fans. But they stayed open until 11 or midnight, even in the dark. Worst of all, no girls walking around. I did not see a single girl on the main street, Republica, or at Parque Agramonte. Did not venture out to the disco. I saw friends and they took me to the independent restaurants where there was much food and Cristal beer. AC when the power is on. Friends told stories of how there is no work, no product in the stores, food shortages. After three days of no girls, I headed back to Havana. Taxi was only 50 bucks on the way back, cheaper as I knew it would be due to sharing a ride.

Havana for the last four days -- Once again went down to the Malecon to find anything. Lots of people. No working girls. Checked out the Rampa. Maybe it was too late in the evening. But saw no girls along the street.

In the taxi back, I noticed they were all hanging around the Hotel Nacional and the Havana Libre. I should have figured that out myself. But did not want to continue walking. If I were to return, I'd be hanging around those "tourist" hotels for sure. Back on the Prado, I enjoyed a beautiful negrita who was so fit and athletic she owned me. A forceful, powerful fuck. She was sitting with friends along the Prado. Had a choice of the three of them and took the one who spoke and smiled the most. Again, no talk of a condom. Non-pro and really into the sex. Couldn't decide where to cum, so, for a change, I came inside her. (My wires are cut, so no worries of pregnancy). Felt great. Also found another girl there, same spot, but don't remember much about her except that, when I offered her some sexy clothing, she insisted on trying to get more from me. Last two nights I spent with the same girl who I found, once again, along the Prado. She was light skinned and had blond streaks in her hair. Very cute and playful and a total GFE. Great shower together where she immediately went down on me. Great BBBJ where she insisted I play with her hair and massage her scalp during oral. Fun girl. Very chatty and quirky. I wanted to cum in her mouth but she said, "No. Do it on my face. " I obliged. As a long term girlfriend, she would be a challenge due to her high engery. But for a couple of nights, she was perfect. I repeated the second night and we went out to dinner before hand at a place that actually had food and an atmosphere that resembled the before times. Each of these girls were negotiated to 4000 per session, plus tip.

The overall impression of visiting at this point in time was a desperate, defeated people who, nevertheless, are determined to survive. Not having the "party atmosphere" in Havana was a real bummer. Obispo is nothing like it once was. Malecon is a nice walk, but different. A dramatic change is needed to bring back the tourists, which will bring back the dollars and Euros, which will bring back the music, the local beer, and the girls who are looking for fun outside of their rationed existence. To a person, the dozen or so people I spoke with are unhappy with the government and are predicting a major uprising. We'll see.

Considering the amount of control and respect the government has over the people; I doubt very much there will be some type of civil unrest.

How were the power outages in Havana? Did they impact you. Without AC it could be miserable in Cuba.Sort of, mate. It's great to fuck in a boiling ht apartment, sweat it buckets at a time. Finish on your girl. Slam some water or juice, then cotinue with BBBJ or transition to the whatever seems like it's on the table for next.

Estoy moriendo de frio sin estar cintigo, amor.

I,
Facebook might work, but don't know where to start.

Any input?.You can start with these. I have not yet gone to Cuba so I haven't yet met these women however the profiles look realistic, they are in Havana and active recently.

Sort of, mate. It's great to fuck in a boiling ht apartment,.I plan on renting an Airbnb in Havana the entire apartment with a private entrance. Are there any problems regarding bringing girls in? Or are there so few tourists that the police aren't playing their usual cat and mouse game trying to keep girls away from tourists?

Flew in to Havana from NYC / Miami. Had no problem with uncomfortable questions. You check the box on line when you buy the ticket. When you check your bag, the lady at the ticket counter asks you again which category you are flying under. After that, no one gives a sh** why you are traveling. No one asked, either leaving or returning. Wondering why they even bother to make you go through the charade.

Good report. Full of information. Thanks.

Ask the host. Only way you will know. They can get in trouble if they do not check the ID of gals.Right so that's the problem. Prior to arriving and meeting him in person, I don't think that anyone will be willing to put it in writing in a text message that they will allow it. I was just hoping that perhaps in the present dire situation, the police have other things to worry about and in general no one is concerned about this silly issue.

Being ready to take another international trip and looking for a new adventure locale, I started researching new places to travel I found a great deal from ORD-HAV for $350 RT on AA with a short layover in Miami. I was so excited to get to Cuba that I stayed at the airport overnight to catch the first flight out. I took the first available flight on standby during both legs, getting me into Havana 6 hours earlier than scheduled. The flight from ORD-MIA was packed. However, taking a Boeing 787 (Dreamliner) for the short flight from MIA-HAV was virtually empty. The flight was very short so no beverage service. At the airline gate in Miami, I used my CC to pay the $100 fee for the Pink Tourist Card to Cuba. This was the last time for this trip that I would be able to use my American CC.

After two smooth flights, I landed in Havana Airport Terminal 3. The airport seemed very basic but functional. First was the health screening. I handed to the screener the pre-completed internet form with QR code (https://www.dviajeros.mitrans.gob.cu/inicio) and was allowed to proceed. Then, I presented my Mexico passport to Immigration and was stamped in with no problems. Next, everyone has to put all their luggage, belts, shoes, etc. , on the screening belt to pass through security. The lines get long and move slowly here. However, here in this part of the airport there is free WIFI (30 minutes) available. I used this time to let my apartment owner know that I arrived to Havana early and would be arriving at the apartment soon. After the security screening, a spot check is done for some passengers at Customs before finally hitting the airport exit.

After walking outside of the airport, I saw the line for money exchange. USD traded for 110 Cuban Pesos /$1 USD. Knowing that I would get a better exchange rate in the city, I changed a $50 USD bill so that I could get myself to my apartment. Next, I walked across the street and through to the 3rd hut where the ETESCA cell service office is located. For 1000 p, I got a permanent Cubacel SIM card good for 330 days. It included 3 G data, phone and text. I also got 300 p worth of credit to use. I hand over my passport to the agent and she takes care of everything. Then, I negotiate with a taxi driver a ride for 2500 p to take me to my apartment from the airport. While there is a bus service that goes from the airport to Vedado and I may try it next time, at this point during my first ever visit to Cuba I just wanted to get to my apartment.

Accommodations. My Airbnb apartment was on the 4th floor (no elevator) but the view of the water from the balcony was gorgeous, and at $17/ nt. I was very happy. I stayed in Miramar near Centro La Puntilla and across the street from the formerly famous Disco "El Yoni"(here in Cuba, it is important to have a landmark to communicate with taxis). It is right on the edge of the Vedado / Miramar tunnel and a short distance from Embassy Row. It was far enough away from the tourist section in Vedado so that I could live among, and communicate with, local people. My area was very walkable, which I love! However, for 500 p ($4), I could get anywhere in the city. My host was easily reachable and provided me so much help with info. She had a contact for everything when I asked. My place does not have WIFI but I had plenty of data to use with my SIM Card. My Aircon worked great as the temperature was about 90 F most days. This area is a mixture of well kept homes amongst some aged Soviet-era apartment buildings (my Airbnb was one of those apartments).

Getting around town. There are plenty of yellow taxis. None have taxi-meters. Always negotiate before entering the cab. Always negotiate because they will rarely give you a good price as the first offer. You should have an idea of what you think is a good rate. Also, you can stand on the side of the road with your arm raised to signal a taxi, and in this manner you summon regular car taxis (non marked) to get you around. Same thing, negotiate before entering. Finally, there is no Uber in Cuba, but they have an Uber-like app called La Nave. They quote you a price for the ride and you pay in cash afterward. If you have an iPhone, you must download the app from the USA but you cannot set it up until you are in Havana. The app also requires a Cuba cell phone number to register. There are also WhatsApp Taxi chat groups that require a local number but helps summon transport to your location; I frequently used these late at night. Also too, it is important to be fair in fare negotiations with taxi driver because petrol cost is very high right now due to availability.

Havana Hardships (indirectly sanction-related). First things first, this is Cuba. WIFI is extremely uncommon here, though most have some level of connection through cell coverage, or for locals, at local parks. At local parks, locals can connect through their pre-registered account (which includes their Cuban Identity Number.) Second, for iPhone users, the app store is unavailable online in Cuba (absent a VPN connection) so you cannot download any apps to your phone while you are in Cuba. Next, electricity blackouts currently happen on a rolling basis throughout the metropolitan area. Cuban electrical grid gets its energy through petroleum. A recent oil depot fire devastated the country as it killed approximately 40 young firemen performing their 2-year national service and resulted in these rolling blackouts (https://apnews.com/article/cuba-fires-c . 60635168 b4). The blackouts occur in different neighborhoods at different times and can last for up to 4 hours in Havana.

Havana Hardships (sanctions-related). Due to US sanctions, life is made more difficult here than elsewhere in Latin America and that affects Locals and US Tourists alike. First, your US credit / debit cards are not accepted anywhere (unless the business uses a VPN for the charge which is hard-to-find). Foreign credit / debit cards are used in many places, so the infrastructure for these transactions do exist (Note to self: open Mexico debit bank account using my dual nationality). In line with this, there are many official shops that only take foreign CC or Cuban debit card (None of these stores accept cash: No USD / Euro / Cuban Peso). These shops sell items that are hard to find, things such as bottled water, liquor, etc. , and without having one of these payment cards, you cannot make a purchase there. Also, all items sold in these official stores are priced in Euros. As a result, it is more difficult and expensive for a US traveler to buy things from these shops (here, having a local friend with the Cuban debit card helps A LOT! That said, a lot of the things I bought for my apartment (Pepsi, Beer, Snacks, etc.) were bought in little neighborhood stores that accepted cash.

Restaurants. When visiting restaurants, its common not to have a menu, and if they do have a menu you still must ask what is available for that day because shortages mean they don't have many of the items available on the menu (for example, if there is no chicken available that day, all the chicken items may be unavailable). TIP: Don't order steak here in Cuba. Its a relatively new item in Cuba and they will most likely have little quality beef available and, where available, they don't have the knowledge to marinade it or they will overcook it. That said, my favorite restaurant was Jota Jota (JJ). Located at Calle 0 entre 3 era why 3 era A in Miramar neighborhood, the food there was great and the staff were beyond helpful! The chef actually classically trained as a chef. He also was the guy who often ordered my La Nave rides The owner is a great guy. He was also my primary contact for money exchange (he gave me 130 p /$1 USD when most street changers were offering $120 p /$1 USD). The wait staff girls were beyond awesome! Two of these girls there were my first two lays in Cuba. They also showed me many bars / clubs that I didn't previously know about. At times, we partied together until 5 am! As for other restaurants, there were plenty but JJ was the most memorable for me.

Drinks. Plenty of Havana Rum and local liquors available but it is very hard to find Cristal Beer (Cuban beer brand) anywhere. If you are a beer person like me, you will be drinking mostly-unknown imported beer brands from Europe or China. Corona Beer, and to a lesser extent Modelo Beer, is also sold here, though I try not to drink those during my travels because I drink those so often in the USA. That said, I loved Cristal Beer and look forward to drinking it again!

Beach. I went to Mar Azul in Playa del Este in front of Hotel Tropicoco. The water is so beautifully blue and warm. I went on a Sunday, the one day of the week when it happens to be packed with families. This beach was PACKED! It was great seeing all these families having fun. At the same time, plenty of working girls on the beach and it usually just takes you striking up a conversation to get numbers. Jineteros (middle men) will also help with this as they expect a tip from both you and the girl, but if you have confidence in talking to women yourself, you don't really need them. For food at the beach, I had warm-water lobster which melted in your mouth! I brought Pepsi, Water, and Beers with me to the beach and bought some drinks after these ran out.

Tourist places I visited. I did a lot of walking through historic Habana Vieja. I tried to visit Museo de la Revolucion, but the interior is closed as it is currently being restored and is expected to reopen June 2023. The neighborhood had so much old architecture that I couldn't seem to stop snapping photos of everything. During my trip, I did take 1000 pictures and videos. I stopped at both Ernest Hemingway spots to have the mandatory drink of the bar: La Bodeguita Del Medio (Mojitos, payable in Cuban Peso) and La Floridita (Daquiris, Foreign Cash / CC only). I also did Havana Club Rum Tour (https://havana-club.com/en/museum/). Booking was done via Facebook messenger (https://www.facebook.com/HCRumMuseum). I did the upgraded tour for 500 p (regular is 350 p) which got me samples of some of the higher end Rum. Another important note: For the organized tours, such as cigar tours or bus tours around town, are only bookable through the hotel tourist desks and they only accept foreign CC (no cash or US CC). The only organized tour that I was able to book and pay myself was the Havana Rum Museum Tour. This is another reason why I need to open my Mexican bank account! Another tourist thing to do is to ride in one of the old 1950's American cars (convertible) around the Malecon. This is something that I did not do but will do once during my next visit.

Safety. I never had any issues. I never saw any issues. At night, I walked alone with no problems. I saw women walking alone without being harassed. During my trip, I saw no beggars and no homeless people. I always felt safe. I heard some stories about low level crime, but I never witnessed anything and was told that even low level crime is rare.

Things to bring from home. On top of the usual travel items I usually take everywhere, here are some things I took with me that helped a lot this trip:

1. Gatorade Bottle, Gatorade Powder, Funnel.

2. Power bank.

3. (2) Old iPhones (iPhone 6 and iPhone SE) and (2) apple watches (Series 1). Very popular gifts that are too old for use in the modern USA. I also gave away several wired earbuds that I never use anymore.

4. Unused essentials. Deodorants, soaps, toothpaste, toothbrushes, perfumes, colognes etc. , that have sat in my closet forever. I even gave away my aspirin and allergy pills.

5. Mosquito Repellant. Dengue Fever is quite common in Cuba. I met several people that were recently very sick with this mosquito-borne illness. Every visitor to my room wanted my bottles of OFF that I brought with me. I gave away my remaining stock on my last day.

6. Next time, I need to take my Camelbak for all the walking I did around town!

7. Electricity is 110 v (American style) so no need for me to bring power converters.

Exit. Prearranged taxi pickup for 2500 p at 7 am. Arrived to the airport in 40 minutes from my apartment. Due to Trump (US) embargo, now Cuban Cigars and Rum of ANY quantity are illegal to bring back with you. Is it possible: yes if you do not declare them. For me, I don't want to risk losing my Global Entry status for some souvenirs so no stop for me at Duty Free. I checked in and cleared immigration with no issues. I walked directly to my gate. One note for HAV airport exit: Bring a snack with you. All shops and restaurants here only accept foreign CC, no cash. There is free WIFI at the airport gate to pass the time until we fly out. Flew into Miami, signed in via the Global Entry Kiosk. The CBP agent asked if I had anything to declare. I said no and he waived me through. From there I connected home.

In my next post, I'll write about my experiences at bars, ladies, prices, etc.

Note. Everyone wants dollars. Everyone will quote in dollars. You will get offers from everyone to change your dollars. I get what people want. However, NEVER pay in dollars. You lose the value of the exchange rate and end up overpaying significantly when you pay in dollars. ALWAYS negotiate and pay in the local currency. Do not get freelancers used to payment in dollars! In the end, I was always fair, gave girls gifts in addition to pesos, and all the girls I spent time with continue to blow up my phone.

Common contact methods: WhatsApp, SMS, Facebook Messenger.

Facebook contact before my arrival to Cuba. Be prepared for every girl to ask you for "recargas / reloads" to their cell. Every girl asked, and I never did as I looked at it as a RFM. Some girls didn't like it. Others accepted it and still met me during my trip. Some talked to me plenty when I was in the USA but never responded to my messages once I arrived to Havana.

My view of the scene. I had a lot of fun with the freelancer scene here. It was easy to talk to talk to girls here. Everyone was approachable. I saw girls that were with other guys and still giving me the eye or that special smile. I felt comfortable talking to waitresses, freelancers, people hanging with friends on the Malecon, etc. I never felt that anyone was "unavailable. " The going rate that I paid 3000 p-5000 p plus taxi. The service standard for all the girls I saw was BBBJ and CFS. Also, I never had any problems here with Cuban police when I was in the company of girls and had no problem riding with them to my place in a taxi.

Bars / Discos. I had an amazing time at the clubs here in Havana. I noted the club's Instagram pages (unless otherwise listed).

1era y 70: http://www.facebook.com/paseomaritimo1ray70/. By far my favorite place to visit. This is a group of outdoor clubs along the beach in Miramar. Each place had different music and vibes. When you wanted a change of scenery, just walk to the next club. There were maybe 10 clubs or so, maybe more. This place is also popular for families; it opens at noon and the bars all had restaurants plus a park area for k*DS to play games. You have freelancers at the bars, you have freelancers walking between bars or hanging out on the beach.

SangriLa: sangrilacuba. This was my favorite club in Havana. One of the biggest reasons is that it has a nice set up inside and isn't so damn packed like other clubs. You can actually move around here. There are groups of girls here, and I was making out with a beautiful (drunk) blonde girl most of my first night here, then later headed home with her friend at the end of the night (oops).

LM Bar: lmbarcuba. Above and beyond, the most popular bar here. Cover charge changes based on the day, but you get 4 drink tickets with the payment. However, there is no "capacity limits" here and this bar gets insanely packed. Its best to get a reservation for the upstairs where it is more controlled. Tables on the main level experience the capacity issue and there is little space to even raised your drink to your mouth when it gets to that level of busy. Music is very loud here, so don't plan on talking all that much. There are plenty of freelancers here. Girls here usually ask $100 USD here, though it is better to get their number and call them later. I did this and paid 4000 p for girls to come to me in the daytime instead of dealing with their drunken / tired selves in the wee hours.

Mio why Tuyo: mioytuyohabana. Another cool bar. Smaller than LM Bar but no where near as packed. It tends to get busier later as people move here from LM Bar. Cover charge gets you one drink ticket. Plenty of freelancers.

Salt Zucar: saltzucar_bar. Cool bar similar to Mio why Tuyo.

El Encuentro: barencuentrohavana. A Neighborhood rooftop bar (on the second level). It gets busier after 2 am. They also offer beer towers for those that like them. When I was there at 12 am, people were paired up but was told freelancers show up in droves as the night progresses. I heard there is a club on the first level but saw no evidence of that, though I was there on a Sunday so maybe it that had an effect.

Skyline Bar: skyline_restaurante. This was a cool bar to visit and get a beautiful view of the Malecon from above. It is on the 35th floor. Great music, DJ inside. Everyone here was paired up. Here it's BYOB (Bring your own Bitc*es). Many of the people drinking here are workers from the US Embassy which is located across the street. The vibe here was a little more foreigner than local.

Salon Rojo del Capri: https://www.facebook.com/SalonRojodelCapri/. I ran out of time and never made it to Salon Rojo. It's still on my list to visit during my next trip.

La Escencia: la__esencia. Same as above. Maybe next trip?

I never had any problems here with Cuban police when I was in the company of girls and had no problem riding with them to my place in a taxi. And what about bringing girls into your apartment? Since you rented an entire apartment with your own entrance there were no problems, just bring in anyone you like, just like any normal country? Also what about BBFS?

I've already got reservations for Barcelona in November however if there are no headaches with the police, I think I'll do Havana in March.

Hello All,

I have been to Havana back in 2012,2013 and in 2019. All 3 times I booked apartments that specifically said they were private and I would not be sharing the apartment with anyone (other than my travel buddies). Make sure you get a place like that and there should be no issues bringing back any locals to your aparwnt since there will be no one there to check.

If you're interested, I was actually able to find the apartments I rented on airbnb. The first link was where I stayed in 2012 and 2013 (on the Malecon). The 2nd link is in Old Havana. Never had any issues with guests at either location.

And what about bringing girls into your apartment? Since you rented an entire apartment with your own entrance there were no problems, just bring in anyone you like, just like any normal country? Also what about BBFS? BBFS wasn't the standard in Havana. I had an apartment in a multi-unit building. The apartment owner was not on scene so I never had to register any guest.

Public TV promotes condoms. Sex with a condom is like a handshake. Means very little. And they are jinateras, translated, horse riders or jockeys who ride you for money.

Perhaps the government has come to it's senses due to the present horrific situation. I've got so many facebook friends in Havana who are willing to spend a few days with me, 24/7, for $150 total. I'm tempted to forget about Barcelona. Thank you so much for all the amazing information.

It is a variation of the Canadian term jinette (Hope I wrote it well), which is how prostitutes were called in Canada when Cuba opened up to tourism.
