Wrx2005 gives good advice. If you are staying in a location longer than a few days keep in mind that if you do what he says after a short while they will stop bothering you. You'll be recognized as a guy who's just not interested and they don't want to waste their time.

Boca Chica and Sosua are small towns. Within a few days everyone will know you.

Also look at it from their POV. They are entrepeneurs. They are trying to make a living. Appreciate they are just doing due diligence in asking you if you want to buy something. It's not easy. They aren't having fun asking you either.

Relax. It's just a free market. If you don't want it just say no. After a short time they won't ask anymore.

ThanksCab. They will try to charge 20 - 40. $15 if you are being hard. There is hotel on the corner of the park. It's OK think they are asking 45-55.

As soon as you exit the airport the taxis will be there they ware yellow shirts and hold up signs that say Taxi. They will tell you its $40 but if you negotiate and are willing to walk away you will probably be able to get it for $25. I have never paid more than $25 for the ride. Its only about 15 or 20 minutes from the airport to the strip in Boca. The hotel I think Grownman is referring to is the hotel Madera $40 a night for a standard room. I've stayed there a few times its ok good location being right between the beach and the strip Duarte. Bad Wi-Fi except for in the lobby a bit noisy in the mornings because of all of the activity from the beach.

Beach the park and along the strip during the day for chicas. Piano bar in the early evening and after about 1 am disco Batey. But generally any where along the strip during the evening. Heavy concentration of Euros in Boca especially Italians, most American expats hang out at the Boat House during the day, Its at the far end pretty much across from where disco Batey is. You will know its the right place because all of the Massage girls wearing white uniforms hang out in front offering massages during the day.

Camaro in Boca Chica again.

Purpose of the trips.

I have been spending more time in Santo Domingo it is a pleasant diversion from Puerto Plata so while in the Capital it's only a 40 minute drive over to Boca Chica and I have a good friend who lives there. Flying out of Las Americas is much more economical than Gregorio Luperon so I can stay a couple nights in Boca Chica or the Capital and fly out and kill 2 birds with one stone.

On my last trip I went home to celebrate with my son on the occasion of his first child. It was great to spend time with family but the Dominican Republic has become my home. It's weird how many things I dislike about this country but she is like my sexy wife who gets on my nerves but I am not ready for a divorce.

Hotel Garant.

This most recent trip I stayed at Hotel Garant which is a short walk to Calle Duarte. I have stayed there countless times and it just feels comfortable. They will fix breakfast for you but they don't have much of a kitchen or restaurant however there are a plethora of places to eat in Boca Chica. The rooms are basic but comfortable. They have queen size beds flat scree TVs and a refrigerator. You can easily get a room for about $50.00 per night and I am always treated well by the staff.

Piano Bar & Agua why Sal Restaurant.

There are plenty of places to eat and chica watch on Calle Duarte but the Piano Bar is one of the primary chica gathering places and I always enjoy the food and Agua why Sal restaurant which is next door. I can sit at Piano Bars tables and order my dinner from Agua why Sal and have the best of both worlds.

Talent.

Boca Chica is no Sosua as far as quantity and quality but you can get the job done. I would surmise in comparison some would conclude Boca Chica chics are less attractive. One thing I have noticed is that Haitians have a little different attitude in Boca Chica than Sosua. It seems as if there are a handful that are popular with the European crowd so since they get top dollar they are a little more flashy.

I offered one Dominicana 2000 pesos and she laughed at me saying "no salgo con nadie por 2000 mil pesos. " She said she gets 4-6 k. I told her I wasn't paying 4 k for 15 minutes of sex and she just looked at me with a blank expression. I have seen her since and she now looks at me with a curious look on her face and I just smile at her. She's real sexy light complexioned with an almost perfect hour glass figure she states she is half Colombian and half Dominican so she might get a higher price than the average Boca Chica chic. I might take a swing at her again.

Conclusion.

Boca Chica is a decent diversion from the North Coast so I will stop by occasionally. Recently I met a chic who was cool when we talked at the Piano Bar so I pulled the trigger. Sex was decent but she insisted on CBJ but she wanted a propina. The CBJ actually was very good but I wasn't giving her a propina. We did the stare down in my room for about 5 minutes and she finally relented fussing. There are risk in Boca Chica like every place else but I enjoy the diversion.

Got to SDQ a couple of nights back. The flight was supposed to land at 7.20 PM, we landed at 6. 45 PM. Euphoria! Hmm, the A/C at the airport does not work, there were about 300 people at the immigration counter because thanks to the US, there are now fingerprinting all in this place as well and the line moved at a snail's space. After about 70 minutes, I got out by which time, the crowd was almost over. Imagine, it was only one place load!

Got out and went to the departure deck and found a goy willing to take me to Boca Chica for 500 pesos in his car and so we left. Got around to BC center and found a spot at Casa Coco $33 but no TV which is the reason for me to take it.

Went out for dinner at the pizza place next to Suiza something. Damiano, the owner, actually was making the pizza. In any case, I asked for a plate of spaghetti al dente, aglio olio, peperoncino with a Presidente. Followed that up with a nice espresso. Excellent meal; went to bed by myself.

Next morning changed some money at Caribe 45.8 to the greenback. Got a concho to take me to Andres, had my clothes dropped at a laundry, bought some mangoes at the veg market and had a haircut and a shave for 200 pesos left the lad a 100 pesos for a beer. Never had a shave at a barber not to speak of his rate and he did a plum job.

Got robbed: around three PM felt hungry and went down to the street. Met this one with big bosom who wanted to show me her place on Duarte, dragged me and then her friend joined in. One touching my dick in front and the other picking my back pocket which felt like touching my butt, in order to persuade me. I left because I was not interested and went to eat at Acqua e sal or perhaps agua why sal. I ordered a "frittura mista de pesce" which included calamari, shrimp and fish fried with a side of papas salteada. The meal was excellent as I did expect and then after the coffee, I dug into my back pockets for the money first one, then the other and came up with. Nothing which is when I understood, I have been had. The classic trick and finally I am the sucker after all these years and in broad daylight too (a good summary of Boca Chica). I told the woman at the restaurant the situation and she let me go to the hotel for the money. I came back, paid and went to the police station near the park to file a "denuncia" and then returned with two officers and 5 others in their jeep to where these women apparently lived and I have been had. The good news is that I did not have my wallet and about 4000 pesos in bills. The woman apparently is well known and we will see what happens to the process after I brought the document to the fiscalia, if anything. But it was funny to see seven guys in uniform marching in. Some carrying big shot guns.

At 6 pm, went back to the airport to get my rental, which was another funny experience. The rental place is inside and cops are sitting at the gate. I had to scream at them so one took me inside to the rental counter. Driving back, entered BC through Andres again and at the intersection of autopista, see a woman walking briskly with her earbuds plugged in. Waved at her and she stopped and we spoke for a few minutes she was out walking as exercise. 32 with two kids, gave me her phone number but was not available right then. Nice boobs which I touched quickly as she brushes off my hand.

Disheartened, I drive along. It is almost getting dark and people are walking running etc, as I go around the rotary in Andres and head towards Boca Chica. Wave at two girls, one stops to speak and gives me her number but "not now".

I go back to the hotel and decide to go out again in search but keep it out of Boca Chica. Head out to Andres, by now it is dark and driving through the area finally land at the densely populated intersection with autopista. Plenty of food carts in sight, music blaring a la DR and lot of fried chicken. I parked and walk around to explore the area but nothing that catches my attention. As I head back towards my car, see a very dark skinned woman, flashing me a smile when I wave at her. She goes on to speak with a woman sitting in front of perhaps a "drink" with blaring music. As they both look at me, I wave the one to come to me. She does and I tell her, "let's go for a ride". She thinks over and says bye to her cousin and gets in the car. The rest I leave to your imagination but my dick is happy. Damage: 1150 pesos.

Later at night, I take the younger girl who had given me her number and had already responded on whatsapp, to a pizza, who came with her friend and I drooped both at their house in my car. She will need more working.

Boca food for me has been purely Italian and it is seriously good, not only because the owners are Italians but also because of the genuine ingredients. Towards that the Sosua Italian places are equally good and for the same reason. However Sosua has more variety, in addition to Italian. Yesterday I had a Schnitzel at the Germany bar and grill if you know where that is and it was excellent. Perhaps the papas salteada could have been better, rosemary instead of onions but that is only my opinion.

I sure would love to try Cantonese food sometime but Santo Domingo so far has not been a serious lure.

Malecon in San Pedro has a lot of bars and great nightlife. Good place to check out local non-pro offering during the weekend nights.

Paco Drink & Latin Quarters. Loquito, Boca Chica.

I had a couple of dates scheduled with a Santo Domingo & Boca Chica chica so I decided to take an excursion south.

Paco Drink is a bar and club in sector Loquito 5 minutes outside Boca Chica. There are 2 Paco Drink establishments in the Boca Chica area that are affiliated to one another and I believe they are both owned by the same person. The Paco Drink establishment I visited on this trip was the larger and newer of the two and is attached to the casa de cita Latin Quarters. Like many clubs in the area you are greeted by security at the door and they pat you down for weapons after which you allowed entry.

As you walk in there are couches in the foyer area and several VIP areas with couches on the peripheral of the club. There is a very small dance floor next to the DJ booth. There are chairs and tables in the center of the club and in the rear there is a large bar. When I was there in the early evening it was slow and I don't believe it gets cranking until after 11 pm at night. The ambiance with the red lighting was very seductive and it looked like a nice place to have a good time.

Latin Quarters.

Latin Quarters is a casa de cita that is next to the new Paco Drink. There is security who stands in front of a large iron gate which he manually opens for you to enter the venue. Upon entering the venue you walk through a court yard and to your left are the chicas rooms and in front of you is a pool. Behind the pool is a sitting area where they play music and you can get acquainted with the chicas. There was no bar per-se but they were selling beer and soft drinks.

There was the typical casa presentation of about a dozen chicas that were all shapes and sizes. Of the dozen in my opinion there were 3 or 4 that were doable and I'd give them a 7 on my grading scale. My understanding is the chica turn around is high so a chica there this week might not be there next week. Occasionally Venezuelans are working there since the situation is so dire in Venezuela. I do not believe any of the chicas present at the time I was there were Venezuelans.

Initially the man in charge advised the prices were 2500ST in house and 5000 TLN take out, he later came down to 2000ST and 4000 TLN take out. I did not visit the in house rooms so I cannot advise on their condition. Apparently when Paco Drink is really busy the chicas work the club also which I am sure would make for an interesting dynamic.

Perhaps on my next trip to Boca Chica I will visit Paco Drink in the evening to see what kind of vibe there is.

El Batey, Boca Chica.

El Batey is one of the premier night spots in Boca Chica it's an open air venue with a bar and dance floor with seating throughout the venue. There is a mix of music played between salsa, bachata and merengue and of course reggeton. El Batey is also known for its dance competitions individuals will compete with one another and everybody will surround them and cheer them on. El Batey reminds me of Kviar in Puerto Plata in that all the chicas are not working in fact it is a regular Dominican hang out spot especially on the weekends. Generally speaking if you look for eye contact and how the women are dressed you can tell who is working and who isn't but sometimes you just have to take a risk offer a drink and see where it goes from there.

Generally El Batey doesn't get cranking until after 1 am and depending on the night the ratio of men to women can be 50/50. There are some differences from the El Batey of the past the most notable is it appears as if Haitians are being discriminated against. One Haitiana chica came behind me and security would not let her in. I was told that some Haitians are being charged to get in and some are being turned away. The other difference is there are Venezuelans in the house! While I was there I saw two separate groups walk in and I was thoroughly impressed, unfortunately I made my choice for the night otherwise I would have tried to sample.

The bottom line El Batey is a to do spot if you are in Boca Chica.

It's 2:30 am and I'm currently in Hamaca disco Texas. Entrada Es 500 pesos but the club is lovely. I'm sitting here like a curious tourist and the girls are giving me the squirrel eyes watching me as I nonchalantly watch them. They think I'm a tourist and are acting hard to get as am I. I know from my personal experience that dude is very generous and considerate. Last week when I was in BC I stopped at the gas station outside SDQ airport. Number one applies to those that actually interact and value their existence in their lives. As a opposed to those who do not want or care for an association. 1) The main role chicas see in foreigners, expats non local men is for economic reasons, appropriation and transference of resources and materialism. Beyond that, except for feigning love and loyalty, these men have no other value to these women. Its not always whether or not someone wants or doesn't want advice. In some instances the information offered although helpful where it belongs. May not be applicable in another context.

Those instances may include situations where the person offering advice / information has no clue or understanding of the other persons interests, motivations, concerns or course of action down the road. To simply conclude the person just doesn't want advice, or to say they just want to learn the hard way, is IMO doing the other person a disservice. There may be more to it. Their course of action or inaction. More than one way to execute, or more than one course of action to take.

At the very least, one may have decided to lay in the cut until they decide to act. If the person offering advice / information doesn't grasp that, that is where that input can seem like an imposition even though that was never the intent. You are correct that no one man can impose his beliefs on another. But realistically, it's not uncommon for a person offering advice / information to assume wrongly the other person wants to learn something the hard way, or figured everything out when that may not be the case at all. The other person in that instance may have another plan or time frame the advice / information giver hadn't considered.

No not really. The advice giver may be correct, or incorrect. But the indivdual himself has to make the decision and deal with the consequences. Frank is Canadian and speaks with Brooklyn accent. I talked to Frank, the owner of the rib joint. I asked him his national origin and he said he was Greek But he lived in Canada for 25 years. We conversed in both English and Spanish and he does have an accent but it's not from Brooklyn. It's very rare that someone speaks a language other than their mother tongue without some sort of an accent. He speaks four languages so his accent has to be pretty unique. I flew American round trip from San Diego to Santo Domingo for $730 and some change.

Airport taxis:

I met a women on the plane that had a house near Santo Domingo. Her boyfriend was picking her up at the airport and they offered me a ride to my hotel in BC. I stayed at Hotel Garant & Suites. Got one of the suites for $83 per night. There are many cheaper and closer places, but because it was my first time in BC, I just booked that hotel. I liked the place. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Communication:

Because I have the T-Mobile North American plan, life was quite easy. My plan gave me unlimited data at 2 G speed, calls at 20 cents per minute, and free texts. Thus, I started using WhatsApp on my regular phone. I started chatting with chicas before I left. As long as I had a WiFi signal, WhatsApp was free of charge. I was chatting on WhatsApp, Facebook, and Skype; including video calls for no charge whatsoever.

Transportation:

No need for other transportation, everything was in walking distance.

The Beach:

The beach had quite a scene. A mixture of families, tourists, and CHICAS! Lots of beautiful bodies passing back and forth. And of course, the vendors. But they need money to live too, so I understand the hustle.

Other venues:

Piano Bar: The entire street closes at night and tables and chairs are set up on the street. Every night, I enjoyed sitting on the street watching the action at the Piano Bar. All the meseras are available for take-out. But be careful, it was rather awkward when I was sitting with a new chica and our mesera just gave me a tongue colonoscopy the night before!

El Batey: One of the big night spots in BC. I took many women in the place, and once I was there, even more come over to say hola. I fell in love with a sweetie of a mesero named Karla, de Venezuela. That chica worked at least 14 to 16 hours a day. I also ran into that crazy ass Patricia from Sosua; she's still fucking crazy. El Batey stays open late; not sure when it closes.

There were other venues, but I was only there for four quick nights. Thus, I did not explore other places; I was content with the Piano Bar and El Batey. I also enjoy the beach place Paradise during the days.

Chicas:

There was a good mix in BC, from the sweeties to the hardcore. The ones I was with, we never discussed money and I didn't have a single problem during my stay. It helped a lot to know some Spanish just to be able to communicate with the chicas.

Having said that, I talked to three different guys that got ripped off by the hardcore chicas. I could spot those hos a block away. They say stuff like, "Recurdame?" I had two that came up on me fast on Duarte and both tried to hug / rob me. As soon as they grabbed on to me, I spun out of their hands and yelled, "No me toques!" " No me des lata!" also works.

Cupid Girls. I had two lined up to meet, but I had my hands full, literally, in BC. So I did not bother to follow through.

Tinder. Surprisingly, I did not have any hits on Tinder. Most of the girls on Tinder lived in Santo Domingo.

My intervention:

Flight:

I flew American round trip from San Diego to Santo Domingo for $730 and some change.

Airport taxis:

I met a women on the plane that had a house near Santo Domingo. Her boyfriend was picking her up at the airport and they offered me a ride to my hotel in BC. So of course, I bought them a round or two when we got to BC. I tried to give her some gas money, but she refused. Returning to the airport, the hotel called me a taxi and it cost $30.

Money:

I had a lot of pesos left over from Sosua, so that helped. The next day I used one of the cambios on the strip and got a rate of 46.6 to 1 US. When I ran out of dollars / pesos, I abused the ATMs.

Hotel:

I stayed at Hotel Garant & Suites. Got one of the suites for $83 per night. There are many cheaper and closer places, but because it was my first time in BC, I just booked that hotel. I liked the place. The staff was very friendly and helpful..

Then add the fact that from a logistical standpoint it's much better for me than Sosua. My point of view is that Sosua doesn't any value in the mongering arena. Sosua has much better food, a nicer beach and more options. But if you want a better beach than what is offered at Boca Chica, Juan Dolio is right down the road. Plus if you are in Boca Chica and decide you want to switch up your game (Big City, Non Pros) for a few days, it's much easier to do that from Boca Chica than Sosua.

El Batel in Boca Chica is the night club in BC similar to Classicos in Sousa. Piano bar is a place in the middle of the Duarte strip that girls hangout at. Guys need to go to Sosua they might not like Boca Chica LOL.

You might compare to the hop-pickers sheds in England where I slept for a few weeks when working on a farm when I was young. Concrete floor, camp bed, cut your own firewood, water and toilet in the farmyard. Could be a shanty village where farm laborers and sugar plantation workers camped. That is the reason why the name is found all over the DR.

Excuse me for not posting a report of my trip. I thought it was pretty lame compared to some of the reports I had read but hear it goes.

8 Day All-Inclusive Trip to Boca Chica.

Arrival and first impressions.

Flew into SDQ and owner met me exactly where he said he would. Drove back to hotel / compound and while it wasn't as nice as the pictures it was decent enough, strong AC and a small TV and fridge. Add to that all food, drinks, and the ability to swap out chicas with no extra charge, yea I can deal with the 2 star accommodations. I put my clothes away and took a shower. After the shower got dressed and met my chica who I had pre-selected. She was the same girl, darker than I expected but nice body. She spoke no English but hey I'm in her country we'll make it work.

First "Dance".

We exchange pleasantries, at least the best we can, and head to the room. I've been waiting to see this girl for two months and she can tell. She gets undressed and alright alright alright, body that looked a solid 7. 75 before is now sitting at 8. 9. We get down to business and no BB BJ, bummer, she's quiet and mechanical, double bummer, but the owner had told me on the ride in to treat them like a girlfriend and they will warm up so I decide to see where this will go.

Chicas (first).

The second day another couple is going on an excursion so I decide to go along and take my chica. On the boat ride to the island I notice that she sits with the other chica but that doesn't bother me as I'm chatting it up with the other guest and one of the tour guides who speaks English. While we are on the island I notice the other guys (lets call him Bret) chica getting us drinks but my chica is just laying in the sun. Am I back in the DMV? But hey no worries I just let it go (shouldn't have). The next day I go out to dinner with another couple to celebrate the birthday of guy b's chica. Her and my chica are best friends. Again she sits with the chica and doesn't pay me much attention. Now a word about that I don't want a woman underneath 24/7 at home and I found out I don't want one like that on vacation either so that's not the issue. The issue is that when we are back at the hotel she's pretty cool but outside she's very distant. Since her best friend is there and her client and I are getting along well I decide to give her one more day. The next day we go to a little spot on the beach about two blocks away. I had hurt my ankle before coming and was walking slowly with a slight limp. At the beach again she's distant but I'm used to this by now but on the walk back to the hotel she just takes off with her girlfriend. I actually stop for a few minutes to see if she would even turn around to see where I was. Nope, she never did. That was it, I had paid too much, time to swap her out. Later I learned that another guest had the same issues with her and had swapped her too. I had already told the owner that I had been thinking about make a move so he had another girl lined up. She was smaller than I normally like but hey what did I have to lose. I could always change her too.

Chica (second).

Wow, what a difference. While the body was about a 7.5 her enthusiasm and energy made up for it. BB BJ and ride them cowboy. She's got me planning my next trip and I've got 3 more days left on this one. I usually like women that are about size 6-8 and above this little thing has me changing my entire thought process about little chicas. She was about 5 ft and 110 pounds. Anyway I'm planning on seeing her next week. Any advice on how to balance seeing her and other chicas too? I'm planning to arrive on Tuesday but told her I was getting in some time that week. Of course she keeps asking me what exact day and where I'm staying but I've avoided answering her directly. First night in town we are going to find this place.

Close Encounters.

So. While my chica is at the mall and before I head out for a walk this other chica is there giving me the look. She has the best body in the place but is there with a guy that just wants to draw pictures of her all day no BS. She actually wants to leave even though she making money for nothing, literally. She says to me in her sexy broken English, "Whats wrong my friend, you no have fun?" I'm thinking long and hard about proposing a side job for her as her man is away but I decide against it. Hmmm second guessing that one.

Overall Thoughts.

Would I do it again? Well I probably wouldn't go the all-inclusive route unless I was going with a group and they wanted that type of experience. I met three guys down there and we still stay in touch, those budding friendships may be the best part and that's not a bad thing. I definitely enjoyed 2 of the 3 chicas. That first one had so much potential but it just wasn't to be. Heading back next week to do what I labeled in my spreadsheet as the adventure. Here is a rough breakdown of cost, over eight days, not using Club Fantasy Island, (of course, everyone's mileage may vary):

Tourist Card-$10.

Hotel stay-$480.

Food and drink-$1200.

Sex-$360.

Taxi to and from airport-$60.

Tourist sites and souvenirs $320.

Miscellaneous-$160.

Total-$2590.

You would save $560.

The food and drink includes alcoholic beverages and bottled water.

With the tourism I am making the assumption that you are doing touristy stuff and buying souvenirs every day (which is unrealistic, since many mongers do not spend so much time looking at the sites, but I am giving you a conservative estimate).

Chica is assuming that you are paying a bit over DOP 2000, at the present rate of exchange. I never pay this in Boca Chica, where the action, to me anyway, is cheaper than in Sosua, Santo Domingo, or Santiago. Only casa chicas will cost this, or more, in Boca Chica. I easily pay half this, with the street chicas.

In other words, $2590 is on the high end, for my estimates and over eight days I barely break $2000.

Bateyes were used to play ballgames too, no Caribbean series were held by taino indians as far as I know. There are a couple of well conservated bateys in Puerto Rico from the pre colonial era.

Yea I thought it was a little high too but it was my first time and wasn't ready to just try it out on my own. One thing I didn't mention was the food was very good. I could have had shrimp and lobster every night if I choose but a recent about with gout told me that wouldn't be such a good idea. One thing I will say is that when they say all inclusive that was true. I literally could have come down with my pockets empty.

Next week we've got a two-bedroom at the Parco Del Caribe. Anyone been there? Hopefully it's chica friendly. We plan to get out and really check out the town this time.

The few times I've used a cat house the experiences have been good but I find such places waaay overpriced. YMMV is an understatement. I speak the language so I just focus on street action. The people you will want to be doing business with will speak enough English to understand that you want a beer or a blowjob. In my experience, the people who do know English well are often the people you don't want to talk to. At times, it seemed that German, Italian or French was the dominant language in BC, depending on which bar you are sitting in.

That said, the people who will approach you speaking plain English trying to do you a favor are the one's trying to lighten your wallet. If its an attractive female, that can be a good thing. But, some of these girls are more aggressive than a Pattaya ladyboy.

My friend, let me assure you that you won't have any problem there. A greater annoyance will more likely be someone telling you "Je ne parle pas anglais!" The people you will want to be doing business with will speak enough English to understand that you want a beer or a blowjob. In my experience, the people who do know English well are often the people you don't want to talk to. At times, it seemed that German, Italian or French was the dominant language in BC, depending on which bar you are sitting in.

Yesterday's adventure was going to San Pedro from Boca chica. I learned the different classes of gua guas. A raggedy blue bus stopped as I was walking to the bus stop near the Burger King. I had the 50 peso fee in my hand but waited till he asked for it. The bus had no cold air and wouldn't go over 35 mph. I love Boca, but why 14 nights there?

This is a country where your average 25 year old woman has a kid or two, and is not only willing to fuck any foreigner who is reasonably nice, but clearly enjoys the experience. It has multiple different P4 P opportunities ranging in cost from $20 to $250. And the "semi-pro" scene is unbelievable.

IMO: Boca is mostly hardcore prostitutes, many of whom are delightful but the country has so many more fun and different venues for getting laid.

There are several short term hotels there but I wouldn't recommend them because you are a newbie and the BC vultures might see this as a weakness and try to exploit the situation. Anyway on the other side of the highway there is a nice one for 350 pesos for two hours. Its very nice with jacuzzi and clean rooms.

Next time PM guys who visit there and get up to date info. A word of warning; BC is no joke and your game has to be top level to not have problems (read my report below). When you tell them you are a first timer staying in an all-inclusive, you have now opened yourself up to the hyenas. They will know anyway that you are new because they see the same faces all days and new guys stand out. You are not dealing with a shy, submissive Asian girl, you are dealing with wolves who are trained to read your body and mind movement to exploit the situation.

You might want to follow Mr Forests advice but being you are a DR newbie its not wise for you to venture out solo for adventures. The key to BC is to fish in the surrounding areas of Andres, La Caleta and San Pedro but not for a single newbie. The touts are waiting for you in BC and they are the best I have ever seen. After several years of visiting BC they have finally given me the respect I want. Do you speak Spanish? Do you have a tourist mentality? Are you adventurous and willing to explore beyond the strip? If you want to stay on the strip and don't speak Spanish be prepared for games you probably have never seen before. Just say no and take your time, patience kills all the bullshit and saying no.

I think BC actually has pretty good food especially the Italian restaurants that most have shrimp and lobster. I like the food better in Boca Chica than Sosua. Boca is a smaller Sosua with more hardcore hustlers, they are waiting on you LOL.

There are number of restaurants right on the beach that serve seafood. If you don't mind spending a few extra $$$ the Boca Marina is a nice restaurant right on the ocean. Increase your Spanish skills and don't be afraid if you don't have perfect pronunciation. Neither do they. On my first trip my friend and I were paying 2000+ for short time, sometimes much more but we had fun and more importantly we were learning. We both knew a little spanish but did not feel comfortable speaking and we paid premium prices for it. Arrived Aug 18th in Boca Chica, stayed at Hotel Garant & Suites (Great place to stay). I had company my two best friends, we decided walk down to the beach. We were harassed the moment we hit the beach, beggars, sellers, and a few crackheads! We got something to eat, walked back to the hotel and to my surprise there was 5 chica's waiting on us LOL. I tell them both that her girlfriend agreed to 3000 pesos the night before and never mentioned any dinero for transportation. I went on to tell them that she knew if she asked for 3000 and another 2000 that my partner would have told her no and that now she was pulling this bullshit. Nope you aint getting chit else now get out! I did feel a little bad for my chica because I would have given her more than 2 mil but her girlfriend had caused too much confusion and she should have checked her too.

The town at 8 AM appeared dead. The Ole, Frio Frio, banks, and many other places were shot down even if it was not raining and the wind was not much of anything. People got afraid of the non stop warnings even if the maps did show clearly the South coast would not be affected significantly. At about 11 AM the wind picked up and the rain started to fall at intervals, very heavy at times. There was thunder and blackouts not lasting long were in effect all afternoon long. It is 7 PM now and it is calm with a drizzle. Only damage I observed was a fallen tree near the Ole. The buses from the capital are not running because of reported waves invading the southern lanes in some places. AILA is closed, JetBlue site is down and the waiting time on the phone is around 25 minutes. They keep changing the parameters for waiving fees so I don't know when I will return to normality and besides Jose will approach next week.

I knew all parts of the island, except Boca Chica. So I decided to go there for 3 days. Now I know that I will never come back there.

First of all, the beach is the worse that I know in DR. It looks like a very low-cost beach, with restaurants and sun chairs right at the edge of the water, where you can not walk neither see the sand anymore. At some places, the beach is inexistent. Add to that a family crowd that dispose all their trash on the beach. Floating bottles in the sea, plastics glasses and trash on the sand. It seems that no restaurant cares about that, as I could see nobody cleaning the place. That was a very negative point for me, as I do enjoy sea, beach and sun.

That said, the night scene is friendly, with the restaurants and bars invading the street at 7 pm, becoming pedestrian only. The strip is very small (100 m) but some places are packed, like Piano Bar.

Quality is quite low (5-6), but could find a gem though. 4000 was agreed for LT, but cutie stayed with me 2 days without asking more. I took care of her of course. For those who like friendly tall, slim and dark negritas, BC has a lot of Haitianas, I should say more than in Sosua. I stayed at Garant Hotel, wich is great. Nice bedrooms and 100% girl friendly, close to action and supermarket OLE. Just don't eat there, as it is not really good, and go to have breakfast at "pequena suiza" on the strip (calle Duarte). It seems in DR that nobody cares about the sunlight in the bedrooms. Once again, The door has windows and no curtain to block the light (same as Casa Valeria in Sosua). Awaken then at 6;30 am.

Conclusion: If I have one week to spend in DR for strict mongering purpose, I would go straight to Sosua at New Garden hotel (take a Platinum bedroom) and stay there. Better chica choice, better environment, better beach, better food.

I hung out mainly at or by the Piano Bar and due to the fact that several new bars opened nearby the price for Cuba Libre's was $100 pesos or just over $2. 00. The exchange rate at the cambio's on Duarte was 47.80 :1.

I went to the Batey, the after hours club which doesn't get cranking until about 1:00 am, on 3 occasions and the talent level was solid each night.

While I agree that Sosua is better than Boca sometimes Boca is a good deal. In my case the airfare was $400 less than it would of cost to fly into POP. I didn't feel like busing for 4 + hours each way. Boca also has about 4-5 restaurants that I like which are reasonably priced. I ate at the Frio Hot, the Madhouse, Casa Greca and spent around $10 for dinner each time.

The one thing I hate about Boca is that some of the ex-pats that live there are as bad as the chicas and street hustlers. If you go sort of regular they will ask you to buy them drinks ect. Also be careful not to share a bill, or tab, with them while drinking. They will walk out on checks and stick you with them and when your not looking add chicas drinks to your bill. When I walk into a bar with other guys in Boca I always ask for separate checks so I don't get screwed after a night of partying. I watched 2 different guys get stuck with checks over this weekend.

At the airport I was able to take out cash over the counter at Banco Popular and top up my Orange phone, so effectively everything I needed to get my trip started.

Busy time for Uber so trip had a x3. 5 multiplier, so the 200 peso fare was 700. I could have waited a little for it to go down but my southern brain convincingly argued that considering the miles I'd flown, $10 was an insignificant amount of money to get going as quickly as possible. My northern brain couldn't really counter that, so off we went. I had to be out of the hotel at 5:30 am the next morning so needed to book a taxi in advance. My new Uber friend offered to do it for 600. Although it's a 200 fare, I wanted someone who was motivated enough to set his alarm and make it on time, I wasn't going to risk missing my flight to save 400 pesos. As it turns out, there were plenty of Ubers floating around SDQ at 5 am and according to the app would have driven to BC to drive me back to the airport for under 200 pesos. No regrets though, my new friend showed up 7 minutes early (yes you read that correctly and yes I promise I was in the DR) and I made my flight in plenty time. I guess my point is, if you're not under time pressure, it's 400 round trip, if you are keen for a shag or have a flight to catch, it could be 1300.

Booked a place on Airbnb. $20 a night for a small apartment. Great location, between Hotel Garant and Hotel Azzura. Not very modern but good enough for a night or two. The only thing I wasn't completely happy with was the 24 hour security. It's not what I was used to from Sosua, it was more like a guy who just sits there let's people in and out. He didn't bother asking my chicas for their cedulas.

Checked in, tried to secure my belongings as well as possible in a room with no safe, then headed out.

I had met one girl online and chatted to her very briefly. She works at a restaurant / bar so I headed straight there to have drink with her. Got there around 5 pm. She was meant to be working till midnight but her friend offered to take over her shift from 6 pm for 500 pesos. Never expected to pay a bar fine in the DR but this girl was stunning and super friendly, so considering my expectations of the standard of chicas in BC and the limited amount of time I had, I was happy to pay 500 for a guaranteed hottie over going out searching and ending up disappointed. This girl was amazing! She left at 10 pm and I had a decision to make. She'd completely drained me but I wasn't willing to fly all the way to the DR for one chica. I thought I should at least go and check out the piano bar and see what happens.

It became quickly apparent that I hadn't set my expectations of BC too low. The young and skinny chicas looked so skanky that I felt like I'd want to use 2 condoms if I was desperate enough to take one for a quick shag. The rest were too old or too fat, or both. There were a handful of attractive chicas but they were either taken or looked way too snobby for my liking. After sitting there for a while a chica made eyes at me who I actually liked the look of. Long story short, she came over and was extremely flirty / dirty. She was licking my neck and ears almost immediately. I slipped my hand up her skirt and she obligingly moved her panties aside for me. She was everything my earlier GFE was not, but I thought why not, it'll make an exciting change, so I took her back to my apartment.

When we got there I asked her to hand her cedula to the security guard, at which point she started chatting to him in very rapid Spanish. My basic Spanish is coming along nicely, but I stood no chance at her pace. It was for too late. There was no way this chica was coming into my apartment. I told her to leave which obviously didn't go down well. She wanted 1000 pesos. I gave her 200 and showed her out. She sat on the sidewalk crying. I felt bad but I reminded myself that she'd made a joke earlier about needing a cedula in case she slit my throat in the room, which I'd laughed at at the time but seemed a lot less funny when she was resisting handing it over. This is where being mates with the security guard is handy. I always make an effort to tip them, come down and drink a beer with them when it's quiet etc. The entrance to my apartment was visible from the road and I obviously didn't want her to know which apartment I was in, so couldn't go in while she was there. My man was keeping me out of her line of sight and chased her off after the smashed glass incident.

I've stripped out a lot of details, but I wanted to share the highlights of my experience and my thoughts on BC.

The bottom line for me is BC is a dump, but there are gems in every dump. I would never make a special trip there, however, if I was in Santo Domingo for long enough that it was worth going but not long enough to justify a bus to Sosua, I'd go again. It has a beach, albeit not a great one, it has plenty chicas, albeit not many hot ones, it has food, accommodation and shopping. I could do a lot worse.

Left Boca Chica this morning and paid only 210 Pesos to the airport. Interesting in that while I was watching on the app when the drivers time increased from 10 minutes to 12 minutes and he was going the opposite direction and found out that from where he started he had to go an additional 8 KM to do a you turn on Avendia Americas. I'm not sure how these drivers can make much money at less than $ 4.25 after UBER takes it cut, and when it costs approximately 5 to seven time that in a private van or taxi. Great guy and he was shocked when I gave him 100 Pesos!

The X-ray machines were down so nobody objected to the 80 pounds of assorted food and tools that I brought with me. The fingerprints check has already been in place for a long time and in my opinion does not really slow down the line. January has again been a very rainy month and it seems the trend continues this month. Not that long ago this was the dry season. The beach since the evictions of many "figones" looks a little cleaner and better. Dollar is back at 48.50 and regular gas a very high $4. 52/ gallon.

Welcome back! I was there two weeks ago and just miss a rainy week. Rain wasn't a problem until Sunday when the beach was packed prior to a national holiday. The old Jamaican restaurant is gone. However, A new German restaurant has replaced it. It looks promising.Thanks! The restaurant is Swiss even if the menu is German. The owner flies the white cross in the red field and as I learned over the years here many German speaking Swiss nationals don't seem too kind to the Fatherland. The prices appear to be fair and I will try it this week. Will post.

There are consistent recommendations for the Hotel Garant and one recommendation for Hotel Batey from a trusted member. I assume both are guest-friendly. Any hotels I should avoid?

I prefer to meet non-pros via DC. Some good girls have refused to meet me in Sosua because of its reputation. You are sending too much money before you are even tasting the merchandise. By the sound of it she has also spit out the 'sick bambino' speech. I have gotten this so much that I no longer even listen to this. If you want a good piece of advice you need to cut your loses. Whatever you spent on this woman take it as a learning experience and move on. There are attractive women in Sosua, Santo Domingo, and even at Blackbeards. Even if you overpaid by twice as much it still will be cheaper than the money you are dishing out for this DC chica. Something tells me that there is some novio in the background but maybe this is just my paranoia. By the sound of it if she is playing you she is playing someone else.

She cannot be more attractive than a Santo Domingo casa chica who charges 4000 DOP (and I find this to be overpriced, but still cheaper than the DC chica you are talking about). If you need some hand holding Blackbeards is the way to go. It is a controlled, safe environment and you have people all around who can translate for you (they will even pick you up at the airport). This is the best bet when you have serious doubts. I would leave that DC woman alone. Stop sending her money. Please do not be offended and this is just my take. I've been hustled quite a number of times in my life so I know the feeling. Good quality women are to be found and not only on DC. Again, just my take.

Most likely additional requests for hairdresser, nails, care for kids or mother, food supplies for home while she is away will follow. Plus the real possibility of a no show after collecting goods.
