This small town is about 15 minutes from Sousa. There are many hotels and restaurants here. There is Casa de Equipo and Las Briases clubs. Many of the hotels are not guest friendly. There are numerous banks and internet stores located here.

I have been here every trip since 1997. There is always a chica around to peak my interest. The best thing about this place is eating shrimp on the beach with your favorite chica, at Casitas .

During my June 2002 trip, I noticed there were less chicas at Las Brisas, but there were more hanging around the bar at Western Union. El Equipo was backed as well. I came here about 10 times during the trip. I got a $12 massage during the day and there was plenty to do, if you know what you are looking for. I found this 19 year old beauty who I brought back to my Hotel for a session. She is there maybe 2-3 months at the most.

During my September 2002 Trip I noticed action picked up a lot here. We rented a car so we were able to check out the action here daily.

Drugstores
Viagra is sold everywhere without a prescription. It costs around $12 per pill.

Good day to you all.

I was cruising through the DR forum, and I came across a post that listed "guest friendly hotels" in Caberete. Now I can't find it again, after hours of searching. Can someone tell me please hotels that are guest friendly in Cabetete, and any other information that they find pertinent to my cause, websites, contact numbers, etc.

I like to windsurf/kitesurf, so that kills the day, but in the evening i think I would like female companionship.

Thanx --- Kev

Hi all. I will be in DR for the last 2 weeks in Oct. Does anyone here know any areas in this particular town where older street women can be found during the day? Also, are there any safe rooms that charge by the hour?

Thanks,

Donnylad.

Visited Cabarete over an extended weekend; I'm no expert on the town, but you don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure it out.

I guess things aren't as happening in Cabarete as they are in Sosua, but coming from Boston (USA), I'd say the whole thing was completely excellent.

There were a lot of girls hanging out at the Tricom Plaza Bar - an open air bar in the center of town. If you're going to Cabarete for windsurfing or kiteboarding just get a hotel room in town and walk over to the Tricom from the evening to the early AM. Honestly, the town is not very big, and if you spend a short time there the girls will figure you out and probably tag after you. Yell at you in order to get your attention. Some of the girls are aggressive sellers & although I had a couple who I tought were very attractive, it's really annoying to fend off the uninteresting ones. In a way, if you are planning on spending time on the beach, but want to monger around at night - I'd suggest spending the day in Cabarete and the night in Sosua.

You don't need to stick with a girl just because she lured you into the bar. If you see something you like better just focus your attention on her & let the two girls have a little cat fight over you.

I had girls for a variety of prices. 1000 pesos. 2000 pesos. 150 dollars - an all nighter. I don't really like all nighters, this girl was the first one I ran into in the DR and I ought to have read the messages on Sosua before arriving....generally, after FS it's just annoying to have to share a bed. esp. if you can walk out the door and get another girl for around 2000 pesos or 55 bucks.

The super market on the north east side of Cabarete has Durex condoms. None of the girls I dated had thier own condoms - that pretty little thing could easily carry tuberculosis, hepatitus and HIV. Not the sort of thing you want to be dealing with after the party is over.

Hola Mates,

I`m spending another vacation here on the north coast (primarilly in Sosua) so I thought I would throw something current up on this long neglected board.

The whole Cabarete scene is concentrated in a small crammed downtown area. Place is loaded with tourists mostly from Europe - England and Germany. Cabarete is packed with exchange houses but the prices are generally lower than the exchange price you can get Sosua. For example price today in Cabarete (2-16-2004) is 38 RDP to 1 USD. Price in Sosua is 42 RDP to 1 USD.

Bars

I checked out the following places with my personal rating 1-5

Jose O`Shays Irish Pub Price 1 Ambience 4 Food 4
Chill Out Oxygen Bar Price 2 Ambience 2 Food 4
Satelite Sports Bar Price 4 Ambience 2 Food 4

Most of the Cabarete locations are very pricey and very touristy.
I`ve heard some good things aout the three Italian restaurants located on the left side on the beach. I`ve heard food is good but also pricey.

Salida Bars

Chiringuito Restaurant Bar
Open 24 hours, appears to have girls working just about all the time. 500 pesos exit and 1500 - 2000 expected for all night. 14 different girls working on last saturday night.

NO Name Bar (Above Joan Carlos fresh vegetable stand)
Huge open air deck is used to showcase the talent. 12 girls working on Saturday night being swarmed by German guys. 500 pesos salida.

Tiki Bar
Small dimly lit bar directly across street from Joan Carlos. 4 girls working on Saturday but I understand there are usually more. Bartender was a real dim bulb, couldn`t get her to tell me about Salida - for that matter couldn`t get her to acknowledge I was in the Dominican Republic.

El Joker Bar Sala de juego
Place was closed down recently for unknown reason. Huge open-air deck looks like it might be worth checking out if any of you future visitors see any life up there.

Cheers,
FORD

Greetings folks:

I was planning on visiting DR for some suba & muff diving. I plan to dive in Sosua. From what I have read on WSG, Sosua is not the best place to stay at. I found some nice places to stay at in Caberete online.

Is Caberete a good place? Are their any good hotels you good folks could recommend. I am not on a budget, so I am looking for a nice luxurious place to stay at that is Chica friendly.

Any recommendations?

Has anyone stayed at Kitexcite Beach Hotel (3 1/2 stars, they claim!)?

Thanx for your help!

Caberete is where I began. Its a great place but everything costs more money here and many less guest friendly hotels here. There is high season and low season here. Hotels go from $40 - $200 depending on the season.

Sorry I didn't notice it before, but it's not Caberete, it's Cabarete.

Check out hotel reviews by former guests on
www.debbiesdominicantravel.com but it is only tourist info, not ******* info. It may not cover some small hotels, I do not know how big the resort you mention is. Try it.
Also read all the reviews on a place, some guests may have a distorted view from one experience.

I am thinking of starting a service to marry mongers to chicas in the DR. $10 per ceremony for legitimacy. Let me know it you need this. I'll meet you by the synagogue in Sosua. Reception at the Shark Bar afterwards.

caberete - day 1

ok with only ten posts, and the least amount of information on the sd board and not one photo to this city i was really expecting it to be dry – very very dry, i was driven up here from santo domingo but it took us much longer than the expected three hours, due to the weekend traffic also making their way to the north coast for the weekend. the route we took was over the hills and yes the roads were winding and in parts very narrow but overall it did not make me sick from the experience or was i suffering from any type of altitude sickness. my first impressions, as a town it’s very nice, in fact for a place which is just over ten minutes by car or motor from sosua, since we drove past the town on the way here, i would have expected much more posts from the caberete. obviously, the reason people come here is for the [CodeWord117] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord117) (no not those types of [CodeWord117] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord117)) but surfing, windsurfing & kiteboarding, the first thing that strikes you when you come here is that this place is filled with germans it must be a favourite destination for this young sporty crowd. i have been here a week and i hope i am not tempting fait but i feel relatively safe here and i have walked about at all hours to be honest, i have spotted a couple of undercover police walking about with their concealed weapons, or at least i hope they were police they could have been the local gangsters.

anyway, obviously i had to suss this place out a little but because i am with my friends, whom i am their guest; therefore i have to be very discreet. i managed to slip away and jump in a taxi and go to sosua to get one the famous massages that nefarous posted so much about, so i arrive at belkin’s saloon which didn’t have it’s sign out front but because of the photos, supplied by nefarous, i recognise the place instantly and who should be sitting just by the door but katti herself. as there were no customers inside i was not sure it the place was still open or just about to close, as it was only coming up to 5pm. through my poor spanish i ask for a massage and katti tell me to wait a moment, i am shown into one of the small rooms and i ask about the price but i am told no problem, i am confused.

another older woman comes into the room and tells me to lie on the massage table, but i ask if she is doing the massage and she replies yes, but i say i would prefer katti and she says no problem and calls her. katti is then trying to explain whether i wanted an hour or half hour massage but i still don’t get an idea on the price, i think she was saying; up to you with a tip for a blowjob. i go for a 30 minute and proceed to get my kit off, the massage starts good and then when i turn over katti checks with me before she begins the bbbj, i have a feel around but she pulls up her top to give me a good feel around of her tits. after a while i come in her mouth and she spits this into some paper towel and then continues the front side massage. i give her 500 pesos (u$11) and she takes this without even questioning it, so i have a feeling i might have overpaid, because i went back and check nefarous’s post and i am not sure whether he paid 300 pesos with extras or 300 pesos (u$7) & 200 tip for the bbbj cim, all in all worth the money to relax you during the day.

i had the idea of only staying in caberete whilst i was with my friends and then moving up to the europa hotel for three days, but from what i have seen here there is actually quite a bit of mongering to be had, plus you should note that at only 350 pesos (u$8) to get to sosua in taxi or less for a motor and a ten minute ride its not exactly difficult to go out mongering. plus, i like the hotel i am staying in the villa taina, reasonable service and also has dsl internet connection, best of all if you are discrete there is no problem bring back the chicas. www.villataina.com the only down side is that i don’t know what the hotel is made from but the cell phones won’t work in the rooms and maybe bringing back girls from sosua, but there are plenty of girls here to be had in town.

the scene in caberete exists and is alive and well; please note that its only ten minutes up the road by car or motor to get to sosua and from what i can tell the girls move about from location to location scouting for business. the girls realise that many of their customers also come from caberete, many whom are renting vehicles to get about.

you can find business very easily, if you know what to look for, i have been approached several times, whilst just sitting having a drink, girls might come up and sit close to you making eye contact or start talking outright as has been my case. i declined because these girls were not my types to be honest a bit rough, one was quite old as well and told me she worked there and asked if i wanted her as my chica i responded thanks but no thanks. don’t get me wrong the choice is not as wide as you can find in sosua but there are girls around to be had. from what i can see most of the hookers tend to hang around the obsessions bar (see photo) so that they can easily spot customers and the place next to it, i am not sure what it is exactly called as there are number of names above it, but i have posted a couple of photos of the venues. for those of you interested there is also a sex shop here that sells a ranged of vibrators and is opened until 11pm, should you be caught short of international brand condoms. i am also currently working on a couple of the girls who work in the local stores around here during the days, i have asked two out for dinner one agreed too readily that evening after her shift and gave me her number straight away and then i asked her age to which she “claimed” to be 19, which probably means she’s closer to 17, since i don’t fancy sampling the delights of the local dominican prisons, whilst i am here, i will pass on that. the other girl who is a university student is much more hard work since she has seen what most of the guys here get up to so she’s been very reluctant to give me any play. she keeps telling me to come back in august when she is on holiday from university and right now she only studies and works and is too busy for any romance, but i will see how i get on.

a day time photo of obsession bar, where some action can be found from late afternoon until the early hours.

Day 3:

The next evening I grabbed a bite to eat in one of the many places along the beach, many to choose from, sea food lovers will love it here and the prices, I then planned to go over to Sousa, walking down the strip, Caberete, I was being watched by a couple of girls in one of the bars next too Chiringuito and Obsession. I walked over to this bar and a girl was looking over at me, she looked young so I asked her age and was told she was 21, she was obviously a hooker, but I got talking to her and exchanged telephone numbers and said I might call her later, but not before she asked me to buy her a Presidente, I said later, should I not find anything in Sosua.

On my arrival in Sosua at around 8pm I decided to have a quick walk around town to get a feel for the place; passing a couple of places a couple of girls were calling out to me – decided to continue going - after all I had all night why rush it was not yet 10pm. One girl then followed me along the street, first whistling and then calling out to me as I ignored her; she wanted to know where I was going. I had a good look at her but this girl looked not only rough but also very desperate; I continued walking and met up with a couple more girls who wanted to know where I was also going and where I was from. I get the impression that if they know where you are from they set their prices accordingly. Japanese at the top of the scale, followed by Europeans, then Americans & Canadians – then Latin Americans and next the local price. The disco opened at 10pm and with time to spare I decided to grab a soft beverage in the amusement arcade, Fun Centro and noticed all the machines were from Germany, as they had signs on them quoting Deutsche Marks I got talking with the pretty girls they have working in there as more people were slowly buzzing around the area.

Sitting outside I was now watching as a few of the girls who had been calling out to me, earlier, were now walking passed with guys who had recently come along. One of the girls who worked in the arcade I got talking to her and with limited Spanish we exchanged telephone number but I think she wanted to come around to my hotel at 5am, when she had finished working since she had told me she lived in Caberete along with a couple of the other girls in the place. The rough looking girl I had seen earlier was still stomping around looking for a customer for the night.

Then on the back of a motor, I spot this pretty chica I looked at her and continued with another walk around the block , then later I saw her passing again this time I looked at where she got off and walked towards her, two other guys had spotted her sitting in a bar but just sat there looking, I decided to walk towards her and then said e multo bonita we stopped and talked for a while and I asked her where she was going then she said a bar called Rockys and I decided to go along with her, I brought her, Yasmin, a Presidente we chatted for a while, a few people in the bar greeted her, the clientele was all American from what I can tell, apart from a couple of local girls one of them catches my eye, it would seemed she, Yasmin, was a regular there as she knows a few people who work there. I invited her to my hotel and she agreed but asked if she required her identity card as she didn’t have it on her – I asked why but she couldn’t explain or I couldn’t understand; no money was discussed before we left for the hotel.

We finished up the drinks and headed to catch a taxi to my hotel naturally we had no problems whatsoever walking in. In the room we wasted no time getting down to business although she must have thought my Spanish was better than it was because she kept talking away much too fast for me, I caught only one word in five. She started with kissing and cuddling a true GFE, and then with the BBBJ she didn’t seemed to bothered with asking for a condom and I was getting a bit worried when she was gyrating on my dick getting closer and close and I thought – wait – stop think what are you doing here and I went and grabbed a couple of condoms before we got too carried away. We were at for a couple a hours and once I was done she was in no hurry to get away and no money had been discussed at this stage, I treated her like I would a girlfriend, so I didn’t want to risk upsetting her by treating her like a puta.

The next morning I had planned to go jogging along the beach, but didn’t want to risk leaving her there and coming back to find all my shit gone. However, as my alarm clock went off Yasmin stirred and then cuddled up to me, naturally I was now again horny and this didn’t pass her by because without asking she initiated sex once again for a wake up session. One thing I can say is that Yasmin certainly enjoyed the sex. I walked her out of the hotel and gave some taxi money of 1,000 Pesos (U$23) she didn’t even look at it, just putting it straight in her purse, with a kiss on the cheek and promise I would call her - she was off. What I found strange is that when she got dressed she put on her thongs back to front so the label was sticking out of her hipsters. Then the top she was wearing was also on back to front and she was worried about this that changed it on the stairwell on the way out of the hotel. When I came back to my room, after breakfast, I found she had left all her jewellery, ear rings and watch, this was strange because I wondering if she was planning to come back the following night, especially when I am planning to look for some fresh action.

A photo of Yasmin, but she would not take any nudes

A photo of a couple of girls who operate in Caberete, who frequent the local bars and walk up and down all day/night looking for customers. The one on the right, sat next to me in a bar made eye contact, gave me her cell number and asked me to buy her a Presidente. I spotted the one on the left with various clients at different times.

However, there are many more girls who frequent Caberete, this is just to give an example.

Day 4:

Wake up and I seem to have caught just a little too much of the sun whilst attempting some surfing the day before - and yes black people do also catch the sun. What I like about Caberete is that during the days it’s somewhat relaxed, laid back, just as much of the DR seems to be, but always one for a challenge I have been talking to a few of the local regular girls (not putas) I regularly pass working in many of the stores here and asking them out to dinner. A couple have already agreed but because they work rather long hours it’s difficult to set a time; I will see how I get on later. I also notice that a few of the female tourist, 70% German and Scandinavian must also be looking for action, with a little effort you would have a chance to score with them, although to be fair you would need to be Dominican and under 30 and reasonably attractive to stand any real chance because the competition from the local “beachcombers” guys is pretty fierce for the tourist putang. Sitting in one of the bars I spot a couple of the local beachcomber are with a pair of female German tourists, one of them a bit rough the other doable, I had seen earlier in conversation with them near the beach, obviously showing them the local sights.

Now that I have found my bearing here, being just a small town, I imagine I could easily rent a motorbike or car to get about in, Sosua is, literally, just up the road, an option I might consider for another trip. After my success the night before I want to see what else is available so my plan is to hire a taxi driver to take me to a couple of the local hot spots so to speak.

That evening I decided to go to Rocky’s bar to first drop off Yasmin’s jewellery as I can’t reach her on her cell, I spot a couple of girls I had seen from the night before and they remember me by waving at me, I then go back into Fun Centro and spend about 30 minutes in there as I buy one of the girls, who likes flirting with most of the guys, who come in, and my taxi driver a drink. The girl I was talking to the night before, Oscarna, wants to do something the following day, to go shopping in Puerto Plata, my taxi driver agrees telling me this is a good idea and he could take us, but since this isn’t a free service, I decline his offer, but as she already has my cell number I say to Oscarna to call me tomorrow and I’ll see what I am doing.

I then drive around to a couple of the bars in Sosua and to be honest only one or two girls I spot really catch my eye and they were talking to people, always the way, I am not too bothered tonight whether I get any action I am just interested to see what’s happening tonight. My driver says to me it is still early and if I was to go to the disco I might have better luck. I have a bit more of a scout around and then decide to pass on the disco this night and head back to Caberete.

About one kilometre west from Caberete is a place called Case de Equipo, we go there and there are around fifteen girls that I can see and around eight customers at the bar. It’s a strange place a bar outside in a courtyard but let’s be honest we’re only here for one thing, sex. I sit at the bar and order a drink and a couple of the girls come over, she speaks only Spanish and with the music going on I can only make out about 40% of what she is talking about, other girls walk around trying to attract business. This first girl, Francesca who obviously thought she was very hot stuff standing there in a red dress with her cell phone in her hand, I however did not; comes over to ask what I want. I say I am just looking and she proceeds to tell me the prices. I clarify, its 250 Pesos (U$6) to take out the girls from the casa and then the girls want paying on top. Francesca then quotes me a whopping dos mil Pesos 2,000 Pesos (U$44) I am thinking to myself this one obviously looking for me to purchase her a new camera phone, so I laugh and say its too expensive and that she must be crazy and she tries asking why, and with the noise & language problems, she calls this guy comes over who speaks reasonable English to interpret. I say for 2,000 Pesos I can get two or three girls in Sosua. Francesca repeats that the casa gets 250 Pesos of that money, but that still leaves 1,750 Pesos (U$39) which is way too much. She then quotes me 1,700 Pesos (U$38) but I am still not interested. When she realises that I am serious Francesca tries the, OK for you a special price then, with everything included only 1,400 pesos, (U$32) I am still not interested. If Francesca was much more hotter, then maybe I might have considered it. Then my driver is now getting restless since he had agreed to take someone to the airport in Puerto Plata that night and didn’t want to be late. He says I can stay, but at this stage I am more than happy to do without, especially at these prices. I then spot a rather fit looking woman with a strong pair of thighs and breasts walking towards the bar, but I opt to come back another time for her and decide to leave the bar.

As I am leaving I then spot two fit young ladies by the gate going somewhere and I ask them if they want a lift into Caberete and one of them automatically launches into business negotiations. She says she is off to Puerto Plata but she can come with me to my hotel, if I want, out of the two the friend looks much better but apparently she was not a puta. I asked the question how much and the response was – “oh it’s OK up to you.” But since I have heard this expression many times I thought I would press for an exact figure, so I asked again and the response was: “how much will you give me?” I said OK 500 Pesos (U$11) for the night and she responded I must be crazy, 500 Pesos (U$11) such a bonita chica like me then she says un mil Y quinientos 1,500 Pesos (U$34) – so there you go, so much for the ”up to you” she had told me earlier, I decide to pass on this offer.

I continued and headed back down to Caberete and decided to walk around the strip to see what girls were about, one of the girls I had seen the night before was now with a customer as they were jumping into a taxi; just as I was continuing my walk a guy calls out to me: “hey brother!” Although, I couldn’t actually see the family resemblance here, somehow; anyway this guy obviously fancied himself as a fixer so he begins by offering me a range of drugs, of which I am not interested in. Then he says do I want a girl? dude what the hell am I doing here? Then he calls over this girl standing there with another girl, who looks very young, I asked for her ID but she claims she doesn’t understand, I insist and then she pulls out her id and I see that she is born on 1979 making her 24, but she has such a young looking face. Then my man, who obviously fancies himself as a part time pimp, as well as a big time drug dealer, begins the negotiations – he quotes me 3,000 Pesos. (U$68) I laugh at him and explain that having just come back from Sosua and Casa Equipo where I was offered prices much lower than this – why would I now be paying much more than that? He then tries the come on bro in your country its only small money. I explained that I am happy to go back to my hotel alone, and for this girl Julia the best I would pay is 1,000 Pesos (U$22) for and hour and half, because I want to go jogging in the morning. He keeps telling me no way its not enough, I said to him look around where are the customers who are going to pay this price and I walk off, then the girl decides that some money is better than no money at all and agrees to come with me.

Once back at my hotel one of the local workers on reception, says something to Julia and asks her to sign in and leave her identity card at the front desk, no problems with that; he then says I have to pay for the guest, U$10, expecting me to pay in cash there and then I ask him to stick it on my bill, which he says he will do. Talking to Julia it turns out she has two kids, the first at 16, but in the light of the room the belly and tits were a little sagging though and she doesn’t look as young as in the dark. I am not in the mood for a heavy sex so I say to her that she can just Chupero so I have her there just sucking my dick, which she does a good job, whilst I am watching “Men in Black” on the television. She also enjoyed posing for the photos and was more than happy to adopt different positions for me, she enjoyed being a model. After nearly two hours of her company with BBBJ CIM and resting in between, she make no attempt to leave and it looks like she wants to stay all night, but I encourage her to go, especially when she takes a shower and comes back to bed naked and climbs back in cuddling me. I thought she was going to start putting her clothes back on when she came out the bathroom. A nice girl but I am one of these funny guys who sometimes prefers to sleep alone and get up early to go jogging especially when I have such a wonderful beach behind the hotel. I didn’t get her telephone number because she said she didn’t have a cell.

Anyway just a couple of photos of Julia from the night.

day 5:

la cabaret disco & la latin disco

i had decided to check out the night clubs of sosua, so i thought to get up there i would take a motor, in the dark, not a very wise idea when as we were going along suddenly there were horses in the road. anyway i arrive at just after 10pm, which was still early for sosua and went into my favourite hang-out fun centro my usual girls were not in there but three other stunners were, they had changed shifts to the day time. as i still had time i took a walk around the bars to see what action was available, apart from the absolute hard core girls there was not much to speak of in my books.

i then visited one bar to have a quick drink and asked them where the happening discos are, the girl was not sure but suggested i try the la latin disco or the la cabaret disco, just around the corner. i went back to fun centro and struck up a conversation with one of the other girls on the other shift there, still just as pretty, however, she said she couldn’t tell me which the best night clubs in town were, as she didn’t go to them. she called over this guy who told me try la cabaret as, it was free entry, unfortunately, this information was wrong because they charged a whopping 100 pesos (u$2) entry and latin disco was 50 pesos (u$1) - outrageous! as it was now after 11pm i walked down to the latin disco and chatted to the door staff asking if there were many people inside and was told that soon a crown would be coming caberete and the then the place would be buzzing, they suggested that i go inside whilst it was still early; i said i was also from caberete, then i noticed this pretty-ish girl standing outside, i think to myself things look promising here.

i decided to have another quick walk around the bars before going inside the club and the same women that had been calling out earlier - were still calling out. then i had spotted a group of european tourists going inside the la cabaret and thought this would be a good time to go in. so i walk in pay up my 100 pesos, which entitles you to a free drink and head inside, but who should also be there as well, but the girl i had seen outside la latin disco, a slim girl reasonably attractive and the two of us walk in together, when we get there at now 11.20pm the crowd that i had spotted going in earlier were the only people inside, apart from us – doh!!. the two of us make our way to the bar to get our free drinks whist jessie, sits one place from me but i invite her to sit next to me and with my limited spanish she asks me about what type of music i like. all i know about her is her family lives in another part of the dr and she is up her, alone, studying i believe with a pet dog. about twenty minutes later another group enters the club, i expect coming from caberete like myself. a couple of the “big” european women, you know the types that you only take to a “eat all you can” type of restaurant, have local dominican guys in tow and with not even being in there five minutes the two pairs are going at it with their tongues down one another’s throat standing near the bar.

jessie spots this and points this out to me laughing because these girls were big and pale with their hair in plats by the many haitians women here who are so expert and fast at doing this; i imagine that with these beach comers types it must have felt like they had won the lottery. she asks me what type of women i like, which is a bit of a silly question since i had travelled all this way for the beautiful, exotic, dominican women, when if i’d have wanted one of these pale big girls all i have to do is visit my nearest mcdonald. i said i found jessie very beautiful and the next thing she has her tongue down my throat and i pull back a little for air and she apologies and seems slightly embarrassed. i mean she had only drunk half of her presidente, i wonder if she is already drunk? i tell her to calm down and there is no need to apologise. then the music changes, for old school rock type and jessie suggests that we go to the la latin disco, i agreed as we walk down there a few spots of rain are now starting to come down and we walk in and the music is much more agreeable to our taste mainly r&b and hip hop and a big video screen. we make our way to the bar and the place is just filling up now and there are quite a few women in there and one local girl comes over when i was sitting at the bar with jessie and looks me up and down and quickly looks at her and has a disgusted type of look on her face – i don’t know what her problem was, but jessie say huh! i ask if she knows the girl and she says she doesn’t because i certainly don’t.

with a drink in hand i notice a few of the guys who are walking about in groups eyeing up the available women, in the place and also looking at jessie. still sitting at the bar i notice this local guys who is stood right behind men and he seems to be rubbing against me, not in a normal way that most guys in any other country would be comfortable with, i look to the left of him and there is room so i can’t understand why he is right up on me. i look at him a couple of times but he appears to be oblivious to this, i can only conclude that either he was gay getting a cheap thrill out of me or his trying to pick my pocket - i pray it’s the latter option. jessie then leans over and says why don’t we go to your apartment, i explain that i am staying in a hotel, but its no problem. she asks even if its ok, as she has forgotten her identity card; i say sure its no problem. at this stage, i think i should mention the subject of money, but then this would make her a normal puta so i once again decide not to raise the subject and nor does she, i imagine she’s just a typical girl on a night out.

we jump into a taxi and then as we arrive at the hotel all the heavens open up and its pouring down now, as we make it to the hotel lobby we are drenched, all the way through, then we have to go to the other block, out the back and right now the rain is still chucking it down, we are both soaked through, literally. then just as we get into the block some nigh watchman, armed with a two foot stick, who watches the back of the hotel from the beach tells jessie she can’t come up to my room. i question this and stand my ground because the conversation is in spanish between the two, so i go back to the main reception, in the rain, and sort this out. jessie doesn’t have her id, which doesn’t help the situation. in the end i explain, look we are soaked through it 1.30am and all we want to do is dry off, amongst other things. the guy on reception relents and lets us go in, and says i have to pay a surcharge of u$10 per night, he wants cash, i say put it on my bill, we go back to my block and up to my room and the night watchman is now nowhere to be seen.

we go up to the room i thrown jessie a towel and we both peel off our wet clothes and she puts on the beach town. i also switch of the ac because it feels freezing in the room now and i grab a quick hot shower. i return and quickly get down to business, starting off with a dominican favourite bbbj, we moved onto other positions, the only problem was that jessie was one of these very noisy lovers because she kept crying out and staying in a hotel filled with german families i was worried my next door neighbour would soon come knocking on the door with all the noise she was making at 1.45am. i also used my vibrator on her and once again she was crying out making a lot of noise i had to cover up her mouth with my hand. she was really into the sex and i would also say that she was something of a nymphomaniac; she said she came with the vibrator, we spent close to an hour doing the nasty and then we fell asleep. i was half debating about kicking her out but with our clothes still wet through the downpour i decided to leave her be.

on her body i notice about six large burn type marks, one about six inches square it looked quite bad on her stomach i don’t say too much about this but she said that before she had a dominican boyfriend who always beat her up and attacked her – so now she won’t date dominican guy again.

the following morning i wake up early for breakfast and don’t go jogging along the beach because the day before i went out with no shoes on and my calf muscles are still aching. i decided as she was still fast asleep to leave her, whilst i went down, but not before carefully locking up all my shit in the safe deposit box. obviously i couldn’t get my lap top in there and half way through breakfast my mind is telling me, maybe right now she is just running away down the street with my laptop. i come back from breakfast but she’s still asleep i start writing up my notes quietly on the balcony and then at around 10.30am i hear her stirring so i come in and she calls me over to the bed and she initiates another session. we make out for another 45 minutes and she gets up and showers and dresses to go home to her place and feed her pet dog. the cleaner woman then wants to come in to tidy my room and i ask her for 15 minutes more. i walk jessie out to the taxi stand and as i leave the room, the maid is standing their waiting to get into my room.

as i walk jessie to the taxi stand she asked me if i am going to call her i said yes later, and promised to send her copies of the photos i have taken. i then offer her some money for the taxi, 1,000 pesos and she takes it’s and says nothing just putting it in her bag, apart from if i will be calling her later.

when i return to my room, the cleaner has been and gone and i am a bit embarrassed because i didn’t have time to tidy up the room before the maid came in and on the bed side table next to the vibrator, tube of ky gel and a used condom which i took off in a tissue and left on the bed as jessie was in the bathroom and forgot all about it, then the empty condom pack picked up off the floor and it wouldn’t take too many guesses to know what we had been doing.

note:

just a pointer guys but if you want to stand a good chance with some of the regular chicas do as i do and dress smart, in the two night clubs i visited i noticed that some of the guys dressed very scruffy indeed and ok the average dominican guys may not be as wealthy as his american or european counterpart, but at least they don’t go to the nightclubs in their beach wear clothes that they have had on all day, they make an effort to impress. take my advice and smarten up!

as i am not sure whether jessie is a regular puta so i have decided to mask up her identity and not reveal which city she is from, although she really liked the photos i took of her and wanted me to send her copies.

Hey Juniour,

I have been following your reports all over the DR and I have to say "real good stuff man", awesome! Great detailed reports and great photos, thanks.

One small pointer, the word you're looking for is puta, not putta. The first is a strickly p4p girl - the second sounds a little like what I ask my caddie for after I just hit a 9-iron onto the green! :)

Keep the great info coming, you are the man!

Cheers,

Hello Juniour:

First off I want to say how much I have enjoyed your posts, and Pics.

But I do have a question...why do you censor your pictures? I have posted many a pic on this wonderful site of ours and it never crosses my mind to use Photoshop to modify my artwork.

I must admit that I do not go as far as having the chica sign a release form but I am not profitting from the photos, and since money has exchanged hands my lawyer has assured me that I am not in an actionable position.

Please don't take this the wrong way...I would just enjoy the pic more if I wasn't distracted by the colored rectangle that obscures the chicas face.

Peace:

.......... I think he is probably doing it out of respect to the girl, who's family may not know that she is in this line of work, and so that she may maintain her anonymity.

WSJ3 you are correct though! I don't go as far as having the model sign a release form either, but I make sure that the girl realizes that I am paying her money for the purpose of not only spending time in her company but also for permiting me to "take and retain photos of her" both dressed and in the nude. As a result, I have propietary ownership of the photos as any photographer would in a professional photographer/model relationship.

Gentlemen,

Good point, about masking people identities, but if someone has some objections about me taking photos I will usually change the name and mask the eyes. When I say objections I mean good legitimate reasons as to why, when I speak to them one or two of these girls I have met are obviously looking to meet Mr Right and get out of this line of work, so having your image out in the world doesn't help.

On the last girl, Jessie she had several burns on her body and she told me she had been attacked by her former boyfriend – so without going into too many details I can only assume that she was running away from something.

So what right do I have to ruin someone’s life?

The other point is that if I do reveal their identities and they no long work at the establishments, then how will fellow mongers be able to enjoy the experiences I had? Anyway I have a couple more other girls who had no such objections that I will post.

Juniour

And FORD I have ammended the posts to read Puta and not Putta - damm Spanish words

Day:6

OK for my final night in Caberete, please note that I did not go out mongering every night because I must be getting old and my body can’t cope with up two women a day, every day as much as my mind thinks it can. So I am putting my hands up here and being honest I had a night off. But its true there are many women to be had up in this part of the country you are only limited by how many you can physically cope with during your stay.

Anyway, this last week I had to work hard on this regular Chica who has kept me busy during the days, her father has some aversion to her mixing with foreigners, maybe he’s seen too many in Sousa with the putas, so its been a struggle trying to convince here that I am really a nice guy. We had arranged to go out for dinner but in the end it was only a take away pizza at her store where she works. She asked me how many Ninos (kids)I had, when I respond none, she asks why and doesn’t believe me, I have to get my recently issued passport to prove I have no dependent relatives (children), then she asks about girlfriends and chica and naturally I lie through my teeth about the chicas but when I am working on her I keep spotting a couple of the local putas walking up and down looking for business, I avoid the eye contact so that they don’t say hello to me, especially the one who gave me her cell no earlier in the week and keeps asks if I am interested in her now.

I was feeling somewhat energetic this evening and decided to walk to Casa Equipo it’s about a kilometre outside of Caberete on the way to Sousa to see if any action could be had and if the prices had come down to a realistic level, from that of what I was quote a couple of nights ago. As I have said earlier Caberete is very safe so even me walking alone in the darkened road for 15 minutes I did not feel unduly worried in any way about being robbed or in any physical danger, a couple of people, obviously felt sorry for me and stopped to offer me a ride on their motors but I explained that I was walking purely for exercise.

When I arrived just after 10pm I was the only person there and the girl who thought she was hot stuff from the night before, Francesca, comes up to me grabs my hand and says something in Spanish that I can’t make out and then tries to grab my nuts. I continue to the bar and I am the only person inside, OK it was early at 10pm and the place does close at 8am, I was informed. Francesca is just wearing a pair of jeans and t-shirt, which I comment on because if I wanted to see girls dressed like this I could have gone to the local supermarket, her red dress looked quite well on her, she sits next to me and asks if I am interested in a girl, (what does she think I walked up here for?) I said yes, at the right price and she asks me how much I will pay and I say, 500 Pesos (U$11) she replies with some shock & surprise to her face that its impossible! A couple of the other girls are also sitting around trying their best to stay awake from the look of things. I make a point of not taking more than 1,400 Pesos (U$32) out with me because I am now confident that up here you don’t need to spend big money to get any action. I estimate there are about 15 girls in there, ranging in quality 3-7 being generous, but a see a few of the local guys who pop in so I imagine that this caters more for locals than foreigners, although later one European guys comes in with a girl. OK in my opinion there were only two girls in there I would have done, Francesca at 19 and she told me she has a three year old child, and some other girl that has a big ass, thighs and breast, that if I could choose where to die, it would certainly be between a pair of legs like that. So looks like one of these women that can handle some serious dick and loves it as well. But it’s quite dark there so you need to have a good look around to see if anything else catches your fancy.

Francesca asks me to buy her a drink and I say later, she goes on to explain that the minimum the girls will work for is 1000 Pesos (U$23) and the bar takes 250 Pesos, (U$6) so therefore the minimum that I could get anything for would be 1,250 Pesos (U$29) on site or take away. I ask to look in one of the rooms and Francesca gets the keys and shows me the room, but they are a bit dingy, I suggest when you go there if anything catches your eye have a take out instead, but if you are staying in an all-inclusive hotel you won't have much option. I drink up and much to Francesca’s disappointment I say I will return later, since its open until 8am.

I then walk back to town and there is some place close by that I have passed many times in a taxi and always seen chicas sitting out there but want to investigate this wondering if this is some chica house, when I get there one local guy calls out hey man what you want, you want some beer, but as there are four guys sitting out there its hard to tell, as is always the way, when I get to the place there is now only one girl sitting out in the distance. Since this could just be a birthday party or typical Dominican evening I opt to pass on this, and not risk the wrath of a normal family thinking I am here looking for some F”* House.

I get back into town and decide to walk around a bit to see what’s happening, I spot my two undercover or plain clothes policemen riding about on a motorbike, obviously inspired by Miami Vice, I have seen them several times during my stay this week, once running about with their weapons during some traffic problem. Then when a couple of the local kids were cleaning my shoes one day, well I am also trying to help the community here, but these guy must of thought they were robbing me. These guys pulled up on their bike and walk over to investigate; these bare footed kids at what about two foot tall each, robbing me in broad daylight, right in the middle of town?? Please………..?

I look at the typical haunts and there seems to be not much happening about three girls are hung around at the hookers’ hang out bar, then as I am walking back to my hotel three girls approach and one grabs hold of me and asks if I want a chica, I look at them take her hand off from my shoulder and say no, but the group persists I look at them and think, no. Arriving at my hotel, I walk into the lobby, then one of the girls decides to follows me in, she obviously knows the receptionist, who was the one on the desk the previous night when I brought Jessie back. The pair speak quickly then he says to me: “you don’t want this chica, she is my friend.” I then reply: “want her for what?” He then tells me that I can take her to my room no problem; so now in the light I take a good look at her and say that I am not interested in an all night, as I want to rest up “alone” tonight, he then persists trying to convince me she is a nice chica however I then say OK we can go up to my room and talk, so she comes up and in the light she has very striking features and then the negotiations begin, I offer 500 Pesos (U$11) for a quick and over session but she keeps saying its not possible and suggests 1,000 Pesos (U$23) that she can stay all night, but I am not interested in an all night as I am leaving in the morning and need to pack my stuff up. So I suggest that she can just chupero (BBBJ) for the price, plus some photos, to which she readily agrees.

We get down to business and to be honest she is very good, I ask for her cell phone number and she says she doesn’t own one. She also has one child and she originally comes from Santo Domingo where her family lives. She stays for an hour and a bit and seems very pleased when I say she doesn’t have to stay all night. What I point out to her is that she looks very photogenic and she looks at the photos I have taken and is pleased by the results.

About two hours later the guy on reception calls me and asks where this chica is because she has left her identity card behind, then in the process of the conversation this guy says to me that if I give him 300 Pesos (U$7) he won’t charge me U$10 to sign in guests, especially after the night before when we spent close to 15 minutes before I could take Jessie into my room. Then walking back to my room the night watchman apologises for the previous night and says its his job to watch the back entrance to the hotel, blah, blah, blah but suggest instead of bringing girls through the reception if I come straight to the back and now he offers me a deal that if I give him say 200 Pesos (U$5) that he won’t say anything – you cannot make this up, have got to just love this place!! The one on the front wants 300 Pesos and the one on the back offers me 200 Pesos, to let in the chicas all that grief from the night before was probably because they weren’t getting a cut out of the transaction. As it turns out that when I do receive my bill upon checking out none of the chics I signed in and was told that I had to pay a surcharge of U$10 per night have appeared on my bill. So take my advice and never pay up any cash when you bring anyone back to your room, just tell them to stick it on your bill.

I then get ready to depart back down south to Santo Domingo the following day. I have enjoyed my time in Caberete and will certainly come back because here I have the best of both world the good eating places of Caberete, the beach and the with Sosua just a mere 10 minutes up the road all the chicas I can handle, providing I have the strength for them. I regret I did not have more time because of some of the other girls I had met during my stay who wanted to go out that I just didn’t have enough hours in the day to take things further. Some of these girls were promising as well, but I guess I will have to leave that for another day.

I will add a couple of photos of Josephine and one of Francesca.

Guys, need your help.

Other than Villa Taina (thanks Junior -excellent and very amusing reports) which hotels in Caberete are chica friendly?

I am looking at Albatros, Cita del Sol, Koaba and Cabarete Condos. Any of these ok with with "guests"?

Thanks

Hello Mugsey,

Check out Hotel Voramar. It was reported on by Vladamir in January of this year and from his posted information, was within walking distance to the Palace..

On their website it says that they are 'single friendly'. $30/night which includes all taxes and surcharges. This place is in Sosusa or on the edge of it.

Sorry Mugsey,

I posted for Sosua instead of Cabarete. However this hotel, Voramar is according to its website only 5 minutes from Cabarete, by bus .

On checking the web, I noticed The Palm Beach Condos-use the search engin Yahoo- and type 'hotels in cabarete, dominican Republic". I have not been here but since they mnarket themselves as condos I do not believe they can restrict access to guests.

It seems they charge $30/US/night plus the usual 22% markup for a studio after September 1st.

Hope this helps,

Hello,

Having returned from a week in Sosua and Cabarete over Christmas, I will share some of my experiences with you all. First, a bit about myself as a reference point for you all. I am a 25 year old white male living in New York City. I don't have problems finding girls to have sex with in the United States, but have more than a slight obsession with Latin women. Before this trip, i had never paid (money) for sex, mainly due to the fact that i don't need to. I speak enough spanish to get by in Spanish speaking countries. Also, i had never been to the Carribean or Latin America. Ok, now on to the good part.

Monday:

My flight left JFK at 7:00 a.m. with a layover in Miami, then on to Puerto Plata. I arrived at the airport around 4:00 p.m. and was picked up by a taxi driver who worked for the condo complex i was staying at in Cabarete. I would definitely reccomend asking the hotel you are staying at to send a taxi to pick you up, as it can be a little intimidating stepping off an international flight in a strange country. Once we arrived at the Condos, i paid him $20-25 USD with a $5 tip. I checked into my room and went in search of an ATM to withdrawl money to buy beer. I made the mistake of getting onto the back of a moped taxi and asking him to take me to buy beer, not just opening my eyes and noticing supermarkets all over the main street in Cabarete. Of course, he realized i was fresh off the plane and ripped me off. Truth be told, i should have known better as i was aware of not only the exchange rate from U.S. dollars to pesos, but of approximately how much i should be paying for a taxi ride. Note: a cab from Sosua to Cabarete, which is a 10-15 minute ride, should be about 8 U.S. dollars, which is approximately 200 pesos. This is a good gauge for how much taxi's should cost you in the DR. Anyway, he immediately took me down a dirt road into the heart of the barrio to some shady supermarket that was probably owned by a friend or relative, and must have essentially said to the owner, "rip this guy off. He's new, white, and has money." It was already dark at this point, and i just wanted to get the fuck out of there, so i paid the high price for beer, then got a ride back to my condo. i paid 100 pesos for each 22 oz. Presidente (should have been about 50) and 500 pesos for a 2 minute ride on a moped. It's alright though, i'm sure it's a rite of passage of some sort in the DR, as i take comfort in the fact that i'm not the first American to get ripped off there, and definitely won't be the last. Also, I would reccomend carrying small change, as people in stores or taxis see you walking around with 3 500 peso bills, which in actuality is only about 60$ U.S. dollars, but is not something people will want to give you change for, so they will try to just take the whole amount as payment. Anyway, this sucked, but i was in the DR, and now had a shitload of beer, and was ready to begin my vacation. I drank some beer, and went to a restaurant attached to one of the hotels in Cabarete. It was a buffet and sucked. I paid 400 pesos for all you can eat and drink, but like i said, the food was nothing special. Went back to my room afterwards and went to sleep.

Tuesday:

I woke up hungry and decided i needed to buy food. Let me make a suggestion at this point. If you are an american with above average intelligence regarding international travel, you will soon come to relaize in the DR that the restaurants have a captive audience. Americans, Europeans, and other people from priveleged countries that have the luxary of full shelves in supermarkets in their native land are in the DR for one reason: vacation. They (tourists) don't want to cook and can afford to eat shitty, overpriced food while on vacation. I however, quickly noticed which way the wind was blowing regarding dining in the DR, and found my way to Janet's Supermarket at the east end of Cabarete. Long story short, if you're staying in a condo or hotel with a kitchen, i would advise you to buy groceries and cook food for yourself, as most of the restaurants and bars are cheesey, overpriced, and catered to white people. A perfect example of this would be "Jose O'Shays" a (you guessed it) Dominican Irish bar in Cabarete. Lame right? I was in the DR to fuck beautiful women, drink Presidentes, and get some much needed sun on the beach, not go to bad restaurants and bars with cheesy tourists. At Janets supermarket, i bought bread, pasta, cheese, water, salsa and chips, eggs, milk, cereal, and beer. I paid about 25 U.S. dollars for all of this, which lasted me most of the week. Again, i remind you that a cheeseburger at one of the touristy bars along the main strip costs you 8$ U.S. dollars and is not what you want in a cheeseburger. This goes for the pizza as well, though living in New York, i had to at least try a dominican pizza (which in comparison, was also pretty bad). I hope i'm not boring you all with the basics, but i feel some of these early observations in my trip made the rest of my stay much more enjoyable and cost effective. Now onto the chicas.

So tuesday night, after having laid on the beach all day and having finally gotten a decent meal in me, as well as some beers, I decided to check out Cabarete night life. Cabarete is essentially one street paralleling the beach, that takes about 5 minutes to walk from end to end. Along this street is alot of lame all inclusive hotels, bars, and restaurants. At night, everyone is just kind of walking around eating and drinking, not much else. However, i was in search of one thing. This place is crawling with women. I came across what i saw as really the main bar in Cabarete to meet hookers. It is an outdoor bar in the center of the strip with anywhere from 10-15 girls sitting around bullshitting at night. as soon as you walk up, they just go nuts. One after the other, they try to make eye contact, then touch you, get you to buy them drinks, give them your cigarettes, etc. I would like to take this time and give another piece of advise. "quizas luego senorita" is a polite way of saying, "perhaps later woman" when you are propositoned for sex but don't want to go with that particular girl. I choose Ana. She was 29, had big tits, and wanted 3,000 pesos. I laughed and told her i would pay 1,000, to which she agreed. We went back to my condo, got a massage, cbj, and FS. After about an hour, she got dressed and left. Couldn't have asked for more. Another note. Alot seems to be made about guest friendly hotels and whatnot on this board. My experience in the DR was that if you played it low key, no one really said shit to you. Most hotels and condos have security guards, but if they approach you about bringing a girl to your room just give them 100 pesos ($4 U.S. dollars) and they will look the other way. I would also say it is a good idea to get on the securities good side if you plan on bringing girls to your room frequently. A good way to do this would be to offer to buy them some water, food, or beer during the day, as many of them seem to work almost 16 hours a day and are mainly just hanging around making sure nothing bad happens to the guests. By the time the night rolls around, they remeber you as the guy who offered to buy them a beer, not the tacky american whose here to fuck their beautiful women. More on this subject later though, as it kind of came around to bite me in the ass. Ok, i'm tired of typing but still have another 6 days to report on, so i will do that later.

Hi,

I were for one week in cabarete, it was my second trip in DR, the las time I were in Boca Chica, in december 2004.

My hotel, the Tropical Casa Laguna, is in the center of cabarete, near the beach and the mainstreet. Good hotel with four swimming pools, good services and food for the price ( one week all inclusive, with the flight from Paris and the shuttle Puerto Plata-Cabarete, 440 Euros, roughly 500 dollars.).

I was disappointed when I saw the prices asked by the girls, and if you can fall the price, the service is bad. The girls think you have a lot of money because you are white male from Europe or US, ultimately you are fed up with this attitude. Even if I speak spanish, bargain is hard because you know after the service is minimum when is not bad.

There is a bar on the beach "Brisas del Mar", good place with local music, with dancing and the price for drinking is cheap, beer Pesidente 70 pesos. There are a lot of girls,(20-30 old),they are very pretty, but very expensive, minimum 2000 pesos, and bargain is very hard. When you know that a waiter or charwoman who work in the hotel earn for 1 month 4500-5000 pesos!!

Another bar in mainstreet, "Chiringuito", girls more older and less pretty, but the prices more attractive.

If I pay the same fare like in my country, I prefer say no. The two times I had sex for 1200 pesos, bad experience, but maybe I didn't have luck!!.

I prefer Boca Chica, people more loyal with the tourists, but it was before the crackdown.

The next time I will go to Colombia maybe, I think the mentality is better for mongering, when I read reports, but DR is very good for the beach and cheap vacations.

Hi Jack01,

THAT what you mentioned is exactly the reason why i stopped f*cking arround with pro-girls. Some of them even wanted to steel things fro me...!! FTS..hate that. What do they think we are?? If you speak reasonable spanish, look half way decent, are nice to the girls and are no fruit cake you CAN score NON-PRO girls!! It only needs a bit more time..and some $$$.

NOT all girls in DR are hookers...!!!

take care.

Hi Johan007,

I have read your answer, and I like your opinion. For my next trip in DR or other country of latin america, I will look for more non-pro girls.

When you arrive for only one week in a new spot, the facility to have sex, it's to go in familiar bars or disco, but you are right the result is better with non pro even if this take more time.

Jack.

Was my second trip in DR, as I had met a nice girl in juan dolio previously thanks to a swiss guide who knew the boss of the bar where she worked, things had been easy.
But in Cabarete, I was staying in an unfriendly big "all inclusive" hotel located 3miles away east (Camino del Sol). There was a small bar in a muddy path with dim light 300m which had rooms at the rear but I did not find nice cheerfull girls; they seemed quite bored. If they had invited me to share one of their dances, may be... I went 2 times, and saw not great action, so I went into Cabarete along the main street, up and down to spend the time (I am not a surfer nor windsurfer, just a small middle-adged monger).

During the day, always 3 or 4 very average looking girls waving at passers by, in a Pattaya-like bar in the middle of the street. However I inquired about the price; 1300

Pesos seemed a joke ; it was not.

Some girls waited in beach bars too near volley field, seemingly waiting for tourists , but i am shy, and these bars are not sex oriented as in Thailand, so I just looked, one noticed me and came to me on the beach, quoting again 1300P , she was better looking, but I assumed I should have no room included, so I left.

Another tourist had found a 1000P middle-adged lady not to bad, where there are small barracks farther, but I only saw 2 or three monsters.

I went to the "car wash" located 500m after petrol station (direction Sosua, at the right).

At least I saw 20 to 30 girls, some were quite handsome (not as much as in kenya however), and they had room at the rear, 1300P all included.

But as I am stupid I thought it was 3 times my pattaya beach girls and they were not better, furthermore I believed I could not even take any pictures as souvenir inside their brothel.

I felt very frustrated when I went back home without a fuck, angry because unlike asiatic, they never negociate, they prefer not to work.

One day , coming full of sand from beach in a small path, a youngster on moto proposed me a chica for 1000P, but I was not ready.

Went to Sosua by gwa gwa (minibus), but it was around 5pm, all bars where empty. Did not try nights, regreted to be stuck in Cabarete where the scene is narrow.

but for those of us not living in DR and that dont have tremendous time to invest...we have to make due...now, I will say that bargaining power increases exponentially later in the night, when many of these chicas dont have money to even get home...and all they have to look forward to when they get home is a hungry bambino! even if their performance is minimal...that is what the booze is for! I always in invest in at least 2 drinks for the chica when an investment opportunity is spotted...and then keep a cheap bottle of brugal in the fridge for the nightcap...truss me...it works every time!

Hola,

I haven't been down to cabarete for awhile...since last january.I plan on going down the week of dec 11th.I usually stay at hotel kaoba which has been great for me.I was just curious about two things.

Have the prices for food gone up?

I've gotten girls for $40 has the asking rate gone up? I can sometimes work local girls since I hang out in the neighborhoods etc. but last year the money situation took an obvious pinch to my wallet.Lets just say I ate alot of pizza with my pussy.

Thank you for any information.

Just spent a weekend in Cabarete. The bar where most of the pros used to be, "Las Brisas", was shut down last week; nobody could tell me if or when it will reopen. I found that some girls now are at the "Bambu" bar, also at the beach just a few houses away from las Brisas. They were sitting in the back at the bar close to the men's toilets.

Hope that this info will help somebody in his search for some fun.

Hello,

Having returned from a week in Sosua and Cabarete over Christmas, I will share some of my experiences with you all. First, a bit about myself as a reference point for you all. I am a 25 year old white male living in New York City.

And then? Go on, man, we're curious!

Planned to return to Sosua for another night of bar hopping, but I hooked up with a group of fellow tourists at the resort bar (3 girls and 2 guys) and they were telling me about the rocking Cabarete beach bars. Again, if you got a game, that is a great tourist freebie solution. Two of the girls in our group gave it up while partying there (including one who was married with hubby back at the resort LOL ) --just not to the old guy in the group.

We ended up at the beach bars, which really rock after midnight. My plan was to dump my free taxi ride companions, until I discovered just how open-minded my group was. I just went out to the main street buffet and intervieved some companions. Joanna (20yo) was the friendliest and prettiest one I found, and I invited her for a drink. After a round there, we figured out the spanish enough to establish our intentions were mutually beneficial, but we needed a room. She proceeded to use her friends to find a little ST spot for 300 RD.

She was hot, and clean, so LL chose to do the DATY route with this one. LL loves making a hooka cum. She instantly becomes your girlfriend. That is especially true with the wonderful ladies who are friendly anyway - like DR girls. Did I mention we never even talked price? She never asked. LL put 1000 into her hand as we left the room. She asked if she could come back to the disco. Why not? She is hot and wants to act like my G/F, this works for LL.

We spent several hours drinking and some outrageous grinding on the dance floor--this girl was having fun. cool. One of the guys started telling me about the 500 RD CBJ he had gotten on the beach from the overweight chica he met immediately upon our arrival. I think he was attempting to enlighten LL to the fruits of the DR. He looked at LLs chica and commented he should have been more selective.

the rest of the report...

LL then reported to my new friend the upgraded solution to his gratification needs. He was a bit concerned over health issues, and the cover was recommended. LL then helped him locate some more attractive companionship and he was energized to action, immediately hitting upon a fine looking pair of chicas, and leaving with one.

Here LL was, in a far-away land, converting a tourist who was merely taking a walk on the wild side into a novice monger. Wait until he emails me and I intoduce him to the ISG and USG... Let it never be said that LL is a good influence on others.

I am enjoying the company of my beautiful new girlfriend on the beach bars of Cabarete, drinking, dancing and flirting. I watch in amusement as a Dominican guy and a Sweedish guy got lucky with the girls in our party. My new monger friend came back with a smile on his face and a report of doggie being the best...

LL decides that Joanna needed to put some of her dance-floor moves to better use on a matress, so we bid the others good night and proceeded to re-create the magic that was ours the first time. When I left to go home to SWMBO, she was asking if I would be coming back tomorrow night, and I knew with sadness that was probably not possible.

Joanna is about 20y.o. small frame, 5'3", A cups, medium dark skin, shaved puss, mid-back length reddish-bleached hair. She wore a white ball cap when I met her. She is a gem, treat her well.

Well, tomorrow night did come and SWMBO wanted to check out the beach restraunts and discos after hearing how much fun I and the others in our group had (all verbal reports were edited for content, of course). When asked who I danced with LL reported a "regular" Dominican girl at the dance floor. LL had made a show of catagorizing the regular girls from the prostitutes we noted all week in the recons of the area.

It was also a bonus when a sluttily-dressed pro came up and propositioned me while I am escorting SWMBO into the place and again while we are walking on the beach!!!! I was not polite, especially the second time when I found she had her hand in my pocket. SWMBO remains convinced I would not fall for the whiles of such a gaudy creature as one of these prostitutes!

The restraunt was excellent. The real fun came when we went to the disco and Joanna spots me with SWMBO. She cracked up but kept her distance. I went to the banos and she found me for a quick ID check on SWMBO and I told her I hoped to see her manana. A peck on the cheek and she went to work on another gringo. She managed to hang around for the hour or two we stayed, and we excanges many a glance, smile, and wink. To her credit, she did not behave like a prostitute , so I finally pointed her out to SWMBO as the "regular chica" I had danced with the night before...

Introducing your S.O. to your latest paid sexual partner -- THAT is what LL calls taking a walk on the wild side... :D

Our last full day came and SWMBO was in need of a massage. LL needed to pick up a few trinkets we had seen but not purchased. She hit the massage table and LL the taxi to Cabarete. Gave myself 1½ hours to shop and hunt. shopping was done in 10 minutes. I'm a guy, so I don't take so long to shop, hunting on the other hand...

Unfortunately it was mid afternoon, so the chica population was smaller, but I noted at least 20 possible companions. I checked every sleazy bar in central Cabarete in my search for Joanna, which was unfruitful... I was down to my last 45min, and so I sat down on the bench at the bar where I had found her (directly arcoos the road from the entrance to the Bambu bar and Shark ber), and a very attractive chica who I had made serious eye-contact with at the "upstairs pool-sports bar" sat across from me with her amiga. Apparently she had been hunting me since I left the place with an appreciative nod fifteen minutes earlier. Body language and some more serious eye contact and the seating arrangements were changed so that I was on the bench with Julie. Anyway, Julie is about 21y.o. small frame, 5'1", B cups, medium light skin, shaved puss, bobby cut black hair. A quick bite to eat and I advised her of my time constraints, so she ate quickly and we bid her amiga adios. Her choice of hotels was a bit upscale from Joannas. This one, the Laguna Blu, was a whopping 500rd, but sported a fan and in-room bathroom. She did negotiate her price, and I knowingly gave in at 1500 which was too high, but time was not on my side for this afternoon delight, so I paid for convenience.

Afternoon delight it was. Her body was beautiful, and although the BJ was not steller, the mish then doggie was excellent and just what the little LL needed. And I got back to the resort almost on time and with all my shopping done!

A good first trip to the DR. In addition to the free sex with SWMBO, LL managed three excursions, four chicas and five pops in the week. I can only immagine what havoc a swath Little LL might have cut if given seven full days and nights of mongering...

Watch for my follow up trip to Nogales MX @ end of Abril.

LoveLOS

PS I read several negative reports hear on Cabarete, which is the main reason I was not planning to monger here. I have to agree that the prices and selection are slightly higher than Sosua and a LOT higher than Pattaya, Thailand. However, I found friendlier and prettier companions here as the pretty ones in Sosua are asking more pesos also. They seem more hardend there also. As for LOS, all I can say is that is half a world away, so why compare?

PPS SWMBO = She who must be obeyed.

More later...I met johanna 2 years ago the first day she came from SD to CAB. I know this other girl in CAB, that has been there a long time and tells me who the girls are.

Johanna is a gem. I spent the whole time with her and took her to other cities. The johanna you know now is not the girl I met then. I knew what would happen. She lives just outside of CAB. I still remember the nights of listening to adventura CD"s with her. Llorar is her favorite song. That trip I also met these sisters 18/20 who were stunners. Johanna made me forget them. I guess it depends on what you look for.

My next trip in may I will stop in and see her.

BLJust an update for you guys. This place is still closed. Got back next week and it has been closed the last 4 trips i have been there this year. According to one local he said the rental price was raised way out of control and they had to close down. Other reports were the owners stepped on some toes. But i would go with the first reason because i have heard that a few times.

Good local food at reasonable prices. 4. A German storefront, a little farther south. Good, big breakfasts for about 100-200 pesos including coffe.

Chily,

With all due respect, I don't follow your post.

Several portions of your post were taken word for word from the DR1 website's message board - (DR1 Dominican Republic Forum, Travel, North Coast) from a member of that board who calls himself "Papa Benito."

It appears that you called your post a "somewhat rambling report" ostensibly because it is basicly a "drag and paste" compilation of other peoples work.

What exactly are your first hand observations about the so-called recent incidents of crime in Cabarete and what are you infering or discerning from others?

thanks mate...........

Ford,

I agree that the report by Chili is somewhat disjointed and hard to follow. As far as the cut and paste approach I believe Chili and Papa Benito on DR1 are one and the same person.

BTW what does AR mean in the title of his post??

All were written by me, either posts or emails. All happened, at places where i was living. Cabarete area has become the Wild West. No laws are enforced, the polica are impotent and on the take, driving is an adventure of potential death. I am returning to live in Buenos Aires, AR.

That makes sense. The last time I was there the food prices were unreal. I wound up eating pizza everyday from that german place and dominican food from that little window joint below street level.
The crowd was really weird too. I thought I was in saint tropez or the south of france..very boojwah (spelled wrong) type of scene.
The price structure doesnt fit the scenario. The DR is very sketchy but people have been risking going there for other reasons. Once those are gone your back to nothing.

Btw Chily ,

How is the casino in Cabarete ? I was there in April and the girls working there where looking great ! (Is there potential with these girls) ---» i didnt have time to explore this option .

The bar upstairs was pricy but nice . In a matter of 30 minutes i spoted one sexy girl dancing with her friend . We had a few drinks and i asked the girl what the ods where of me and her hitting it off that night . She told me 100% sure we would . She then took my hand and scorted me outside . In the cab she was all over me (my condo ''El Magnifico'' is 2 minutes from there) . We had a blast ....

Cant wait to go back .

Just arrived to Cabarete. After my first dinner I am walking along the beach and there comes suddenly this woman from the middle of nowhere. She is all over me pushing her ass against my crotch and touching me all over. I can barely breath. Luckily I can get some air and she dissappears. Mumbling something like condom and I should wait here. After a minute she comes back and starts to fumble again allover me. She says she will meet me further down the beach.

I rather go to the next bar and after I want to pay for the beer I just ordered I notice that my wallet is totaly empty, no cash only credicards and driver's licence left.

I guess I am superlucky that the lady just took the cash and left all the cards untouched! Thank you Cabarete! I know it was my mistake being so careless. This gave me a great lesson and I am not that upset that a lot of cash is gone. I hope it helps for the survival of same people in need!

I am fully recovered from the shock and this morning I went to the casino bar since all the other places close at 2 am. The bar was quite empty but still enough to have some fun! Too bad the security was clearly not a friend of haitians.

Well, first time arround she steels my hole vallet and then quickly disappears with it to a sehideout where she can filter the content. Than she comes back and slips the valet back into its original position.

I must say, I was deeply impressed by her high-class artistic action and noble behaviour. I would like to thank her in person. But she will probably not show up pn the beach until I am gone, at least she got now enough money to do some important maintance things around her shak.

The following day I was better prepared. I had all my cash in a waterproof softcase attached to my pants. A pregnant lady tried to run off with it, but had left puzzled with my purse untouched. To me this turns out to became a special kind of evening distraction!

Looking for some current info on Cabarete, in particular "chica friendly" hotels or apartments, as well as any info on the current state of "the scene" in Cabarete. I am currently considering the condo's at Magnifico's. If anyone can advise it would be greatly appreciated. Did Sosua last year and had a great time, a little afternoon delight everyday at "La Passions" ...great girls. Met some nice ex-pats hanging out at little burger joint mid strip, run by a nice Danish man named Tom, great conversation and cold beers. Also hit Clasicos everynight and found some good talent. All in all Great trip, excellent value, amazing beach.

Chefstir ,

I was there is April and only girls with CEDULA could go . Remember that when you sign in you are respinsible for anything that happends in the room .

The last day i was there i had a girl for a few hours at the condo . She provided a fake scedula (the gradian told me afterwards). Aside that she was the best lay i had in Dr. when it was time to leave (i was so tired) it was raining outside , she wanted to leave with a towel from the condo , she wanted more $$$ for a cab , she was yelling in the condo in spanish .

After a whille she left in the rain and all was ok but things could have gone rocky . Next time i will stay somewhere a bit less nice and new . This way i wont give a shitt about what happens .

Rodeo 9112 you could try the hotel voramar in Sosua. They offer normal rooms and 1 or 2 bedroom apartments too.
The only drawback of this particular hotel is it`s loacation. it is located a bit outside of sosua right next to the casino in Sosua (playa chiquita).
to get to the center of sosua will take you round about 15 depending on fast you walk.
if you don`t want to walk everyday you can rent a scooter at this hotel for 20 dollars per day or take a motochonco everytime you want to get to the center, beach...
their webpage is www.voramar-sosua.com

Hey EG,

Villa California and the place across the street is overkill for this lone traveling monger. Any classy mongering places less than $100 that is private that you know about where I don't have to worry about being mugged? There is one phone number you posted earlier for a fun chica that I am super interested in and don't know how you can get it to me. I have a username called ho_hunter in a form for the SF bay area that maybe you can pass it to me there. I am afraid to put up a link because that is against policy for this website. I have a fresh post placed in the obvious area for the topic. I am open to other suggestions as well. I tried to private message you but your user was blocked for some reason.

I am not sure what sf forum you are talking about, but as far as a place to stay I would call or look up www.amberguardian.com for a house or condo they have everything from$50, to $1500 a night. Be up front all tell him you want a girl friendly place, I know they have some condos right by the water front, then you don't need a car and you can walk to everything, tell him (Richard) you would like to spend X amount of money per night, he is a pretty cool and savy person to work with, E G

Ho_Hunter,

I caution anybody about staying in cheap/dive hotels, I have dodged a lot of bullets in my younger days and sometimes wonder how I did it. Getting mugged leads to fighting for your property, which leads to hurting someone, which leads to hospitols or jail or both. I enjoy spanking all the young beautiful girls in the DR and I would rather spend the $500. 00 to $1000. 00 on housing rather than jail or medical bills, that way you can avoid the problems that follow dive places and focus on the mission. www.velerobeach.comI stayed at Velero Beach Hotel back in early August for a few nights. Really nice clean place but not very tolerant of girls. Stupid rule that they have to leave by 5:30 or 6am and they enforce it with threats to you and the girl. I was like a zomby there from getting up every morning to walk the girl out. Then they let them come back at 11am which doesnt make sense but no walking around hotel or pool with them. There is a small neighborhood bar right next door with some decent chicas for hire. If I return I will stay elsewhere so I can enjoy the girls more without hassel.

Hey Corpo,

I was in Cabarete Dec 2007 on a 5 day driveby. Had I known of BlackBeards at that time I would have spent my time there instead. Anyway, I was out one night with my puta and her sister (who I banged together 3sum style) at a small club right on the beach called, "Bambu". There were half a dozen smoking hot slavic looking girls all decked out with their Johns dancing, etc. The Johns looked like gringos to me. I learned later that this was an outing sponsored by the "Vikings" outfit that I'm told specializes in this type of operation down there with imported slavic girls. Most of them looked like models to me. I also saw a few nordic looking women out at night with their young, fit looking dominican surfer bum type guys. I'm told by a reliable source, who lives in the area, that there is a rather underground scene with white lady cougar types that vacation down here doing the dark dick sex fantasy thing. Can't say I blame them, after all we guys are down there doing the same thing with the chicas. Other than that I'm not sure what else could be happening with Russian girls unless they are tourists on holiday.

Funny. I was riding the Rio San Juan guagua last night to Cabarete when three devushkas boarded near Sea Horse Ranch. Looked like two w h o r e s and their mamasan. They were all drunk and stopped the bus by arguing with the driver. I was late for a dinner date so I was not best pleased. I yelled a few Russian obscenities at them (about all I can remember from my former studies) and that surprised them so much they shut up and we got started again.

So ride the guagua every night. You might get lucky, though you are welcome to those two!

I agree. I always stay in Cabarette just to be away from the slime in sosoua (as you do in POP) though I do spend a lot of time is Sosoua on every trip. Cabarette has great beachs, good cheap condos, good food always available and only 10 minutes from Sosoua. That being said, I have scored MANY chicas IN Cabarette. In fact just 2 weeks ago I had this little Haitian that was off the fucking chart.

Sounds like Hunts stayed there and did not venture out to Sosoua for chicas, which is VERY limiting and might explain his "fair" chica rating.

Hunts, when you asked the question I asumed you had some experience in this area so next time (if there is a next time, and there absolutely should be) PM me and I'll give you some tips.

I've been to the DR at least 15 times but had never stayed in Cabarete so I had limited info. The best action we had were with semi pros at the casino superbowl night. Cab fare to Pop only. I was at Bambus several years ago & it was loaded with chicas. This time was limited. Day time activity was also very limited. The food on several of the beach front rest. Was very good.

I could have used your "tips".

After just few nights of Sousa I had enough and moved to Cabarete. Not a big move I know, but I'm lazy. Overall I find it much better. Got a room at the Surf Hotel by Janets supermarket, no A/C or TV but being on a 2nd floor it enjoys breeze, has a balcony to the pool and is very quiet. $25 after discount. There is no surcharge whatever you bring to the room, as they don't really care.

The night scene is different as there are these "cool/lounge" beach bars at night where tourists are supposed to hang out, only thing is that right now there isn't anybody so the working girls are even more visible. Not much quality, but 1, 000p can always be had. The nicest to look and talk to was a waitress but she said she would not budge and if know women a little it's true that she would not. Another stupid waitress at the Arriba bar gave me some attitude, incidentally the owner is my same nationality so she got a couple words from him too. The rest are very hardcore or ugly at that place. At the beach during the days you can also meet the occasional "masseuse" actually the one of today looked better that the average cannon butts girl, but I didn't partake.

Anyway I'm through with this place also, tomorrow I go to se San Juan, I'm told there is really nothing there.

I'm just back from having a a drink at the little bar on the street where my hotel is. There are some luxury resorts here around that look really nice.

A well produced lady chatted me up, there were some more kinda like her, all overweight. Long ans silly conversation, only to reveal she is a want to be sophisticated type and that less than 3, 000p would be offensive for her.

On top of that seems like there is a barfine to pay too!!

Avoid. Tomorrow it's really time to move on.

Hi

I hear there is some good wind surfing in Cabarete? Is that true? Does any one know if there are places there that offer wind surfing classes?

I would be interested in learning in between mongering in Sosua

Cheers

A158Yes. There are plenty of schools that will teach you. One of the best places in the world for this sport from my understanding. Not cheap either. Caters to the european jet set crowd as does the rest of Cabarete. I have not done either but from what I understand, wind surfing is harder to learn but more satisfying while kite is easier to learn but not as enjoyable long term. Hard to say that when I see these dudes catching air like 25 feet above the water!

The kite boarding looks amazing.

In youtube do a search for kite boarding cabarete or wind surfing cabarete, there are many videos.

Usually white foreign chicas topless on the beach in Cabarete.

Visited the North Coast a couple of months ago. Spent about 10 days in Cabarete and 3 days in Sosua (that was enough for me.) Seems the forum members have missed the latest developement in Cabarete, so I guess I am letting you in on the news here.

First of all, Cabarete is a much nicer place than Sosua, even though the beach in Sosua is nice. I like the setup with the bars and resataurants directly on the beach, and the vibe is in general less slimy, if you catch my drift.

Every day in Cabarete there were about 30-40 working girls around the main discotek on the beach. And the quality was a bit better than at the Sosua bars actually. Of course many of them was not doable at all, but I found a new girl almost every night, and I tend to be very selective.

In general, I just found the whole vibe in Cabarete a bit more relaxed than in Sosua, making is a better spot for a beach / mongering. Holiday. And if you want to expand your horizon, Sosua is only 10 min. Away. (I did do take-out from Passions in Sosua to Cabarete one evening.

I remember 15 years ago it was a nice and not to dangerous place, but I made a bad experience and also heard ugly stories, so today it must be even worse as all tourist places that get bigger, in adittion the problems they have in Haiti will certainly bring some thieves over. For mongering I wouldn't choose the Domrep, I prefer less touristic places in Latin America.

The place is full of thieves, pickpockets, bad providers, druggies, and chulos!I was just there for the Thanksgiving break and the jazz festival and the place was great! When I'm on the north coast I usually bounce back and forth between staying in Sosua and staying in Cabarete and Cabarete is hands down more upscale than Sosua. There are crooks everywhere in the DR not just in Cabarete, but I see far less of the underside of the DR in Cabarete than I do in Sosua. Sosua beach shuts down at night its so dangerous, Cabarete comes alive at night with all of the eateries, bars and night spots, no comparison.

The mongering in Cabarete is not the same point and shoot like it is in Sosua but it is there if you just look. If you have a choice I would strongly suggest that you stay in Cabarete and monger in Sosua, its only a 15 minute drive away.

A trusted chica told me many girls arriving tonight in Cabaretter. Some usually stay up until the superbowl. Most of them are staying there however instead of getting harrased in Sosua. There is a Salsa festival tonight and I hear every Monday. Final Bash will be Monday after Superbowl. Time for mongers to step up and head there on Mondays check it outt

Over many years, they are all worthless= liars, non providers, thieves, etc. The latest was an attractive 6'3' Haitian and her small, conniving accomplice. It started from an immediate demand of 4000 each, up from the agreed 1500 pesos TLN. But Denied. Just terrible sex! Avoid I think one of them is named Genny.

The old saying goes."You have to let this one go, if she come back, she is yours, if NOT, then she never was."I can have her back if I want, anytime I want. In fact she sent me some very sexy pictures last night wearing a bra and panty set I bought for her. The only thing is when I met her she was a regular girl from the campo and now she's working in a male only resort (her words) working with the russians, everyone from different countries minus the Dominican republic, I'm curious. She tells me she's not a chica for hire, but I'm no fool. Never have been. Not chasing anyone either, I've got 5 different girls down there 1 is a working girl. I only give money to my live in. I don't even pay the working girl, we are friends with benefits. I take her and her kids to the beach / movies etc.

Don't get me wrong I pay for meals, cabanas, sometime gifts. But the cash for sex deal I don't have to do unless I want some strange. Then maybe I'll pick up a street girl or go to a casa.

I will post the tamest pic later and you can tell me if I'm crazy.

Cabarete is a BIG city, there are thousands of resorts. Come on!Cabarete is a small beach town. New condominium construction in the last ten years in Cabarete. I have not been in Cabarete in years. Cabarete is famous for wind related sports activities, the wind is usually always blowing hard in Cabarete. Punta Cana / Bavaro and Puerto Plata have numerous resorts (all inclusive hotels). Cabarete has maybe a few small all inclusive type hotels.

I loved my first trip to D. R. Sorry no photos of the girls they were too afraid to take picture because they were afraid I would post them online. Haha.

Now I have a buddy who wants to go with me, but he would like to stay in a villa / apt that is obviously girl friendly and away from Sosua. He was thinking Cabarete or further east.

Since my experience is only with Sosua, I am not sure of the places to stay in cabarete that would offer privacy and amenities.

Anyone have information on villas or apt in cabarete, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I just got home from a week on the north coast and had time to check out the new strip club in Caberete that features Russian girls.

It is above the casino in town and the club itself is absolutely stunning, I used to be a big time frequenter of strip clubs all over the USA as my work travels took me and this place was right up there in respects to decor, lighting etc. 100% top notch.

We pulled into the parking lot and there were only four cars and it was Friday night, WTF. We went into the casino and there were literally only six people in the casino. Asked about the new strip club and they pointed to a velvet curtain, no signs of any kind. This led to a stairway that led up to the club that was behind another velvet curtain, again, no signs. Upon entering I was blown away by three things, the drop dead gorgeous Russian girl onstage, the over the top decor and last but not least that we were the only people in the damn joint.

We were seated and and a Dominican girl came over to take our drink order (also a dime piece) and a little later the Russian manager came over and we asked him how everything worked. He spoke perfect english and politely explained that they actually weren't officially open yet. They have a grand opening on July 30th and have ten to fifteen more girls all Russian coming in and at tht point there would be a ten to fifteen dollar cover. He made it perfectly clear that they were not a wh0rehouse. They offered forty dollar five minute lap dances in private rooms / booths. Asked him about "takeout" and he again stated that they weren't a wh0rehouse but he had "escort services" but he was hesitant about his definition of what that meant, he was trying to tell me that escort meant escort and no sex but then he said something about what happens between the two parties-and then kind of caught himself and stopped talking.

After a little while the two girls working there came over and we chatted them up or at least tried to, one of them spoke almost perfect english and the other almost none. They were both stunning. They did not dance nude, only topless. At this point I was ready to bounce and head to Sosua, if I want a forty dollar topless lap dance with almost no touching I'll stay in fucking Connecticut for christsakes.

We called for the check and the manager came over and asked for our opinion of the place and my wingman put it to him as nicely as possible but told him he was doomed to fail if he didn't change his business model. People that visit "gentemen's clubs" in the DR expect to be able to buy sex at the establishment, period. His answer was that there were plenty of places to have sex on the north shore and he was offering something different, an alternative. That is fair but dude, the fucking place is empty and you have a sign that that goes across the entire main street announcing yourself, HELLLLOOOO! The girl that spoke english chimed in and said that before she came to the DR she was in Thailand and tried to tell us that she made a boat load of money by NOT offering sex, ummm yeah okay.

We ordered three mixed drinks and five shots and the bill was about a hundred bucks.

I'll go back in after they are fully open just to check it out and report back here but me and my buddies figure they will be out of business in ninety days or so if they try to hold the line at being just a high end strip club.

There was one near Blackbeards a few years ago. I can only assume they have something to do with laundering organized crime money.

Probably they don't want to tell you that sex is available, because they are not licensed for on site massage and wary of running foul of the pimping laws or bad publicity. Why would the lap dances be in private booths if there was no hanky panky? It wouldn't make any sense, and no one in the DR would actually pay cash for anything less than orgasm.

I can absolutely guarantee that they have not done any real market research into the demographics of tourists in Cabarete, how much disposable income per day the average male tourist has, etc, etc. Possibly they are hoping to appeal to wealthy Dominican businessmen or to professional athletes from the USA, but whatever, it won't fly.

Why would you go back to some place that charged you $100 for 8 drinks? Even if you are a severe alcoholic, you could have bought a whole bottle of liquor and two girls for the night for the same money. In my view there is no grand opening, no fifteen girls. The plan is to rip off suckers like you. Why would they have the place open if it wasn't really open?

You have already been scammed one time and you are gullible enough to think about going back for more? The unnamed person who took you there or mentioned it to you was probably in on the scam.

I am neither gullible or a sucker. Many businesses open their doors prior to having a Grand Opening, they could have a "sucker" like me come through the doors every hour and drop a hundred bucks and it wouldn't be enough profit to pay the damn air conditioning and light bill, give me a break.

I went to check the place out and report back here to my fellow members, a hundred dollar bill isn't going to break me otherwise I wouldn't have gone there. I plan to go back out of my own curiosity and to report back to the members here, if you don't want to know about the place do me a favor and don't read my post about it but yes, I will go back there and get suckered for another hundred bucks to find out what the score is over there.

Yes I could have bought a bottle of liquor and two girls for that hundred dollars, in fact I already had the liquor in my hotel room and my girl for that night was waiting for me back in Sosua.

You actually think I am dumb enough to mention names of my friends on this board, surely you must be high on something. I went there with two of my friends that I travel with regularly and trust me neither of them are scamming me for a cut from this place they don't need the money trust me, WTF.

I went out of my way to take notes during my trip to Sosua so I could make a detailed and informative trip report but after this BS (from a senior member nonetheless) I won't fucking bother.

Possibly they are hoping to appeal to wealthy Dominican businessmen or to professional athletes from the USA, but whatever, it won't fly. There are enough seriously rich Russians, Ukrainians, etc, living near Cabarete to sustain a place like this. I understand half the places at Seahorse Ranch are now occupied by Russians plus many of the secure villas in the hills. They are not particularly obvious because they keep very much to themselves, partly for language / cultural reasons and partly for security, as most of them will have made a lot of enemies while making their money. Nothing for them to drop US$1000 during an evening out, and they might just like to have their own place to socialize. Plus the money-laundering factor which you rightly mention. But if so, I am not sure why they would want to advertise the place so obviously to others.

Frannie, you were a bit rude to Manizales, who is one of our most "hard-boiled" members and least likely to be scammed. I think he was very generous to lay out US$100 in research for ISG. (Sorry, I would like to chip in but I am a bit short this month).

I agree Russian / Ukrainian women are the best in the world. Past it at 30, though, because of all the beer and sausage they consume.

I went out of my way to take notes during my trip to Sosua so I could make a detailed and informative trip report but after this BS (from a senior member nonetheless) I won't fucking bother.Frannie must have had his account hacked by the Murdock crew. Frannie, please tell me that you were drunk when you wrote your response to my post.

I am neither gullible or a sucker. Many businesses open their doors prior to having a Grand Opening, they could have a "sucker" like me come through the doors every hour and drop a hundred bucks and it wouldn't be enough profit to pay the damn air conditioning and light bill, give me a break.I rarely drink, although I did have a glass of red wine with dinner last week on my birthday, but it never ceases to amaze me how gullible drinkers are when it comes to paying for booze.

When someone goes into a place where they are the only customer and pays $100 for drinks, then you have to be suspicious. OK, you are wealthy and $100 for drinks is small change to you, but the average tourist on a budget who gets stuck with a $100 bill for a few drinks might feel differently.

Maybe, as Charles Pooter says, the real target market is wealthy Russians, and maybe that is where the seed money comes from, but then again, they didn't get to be wealthy by throwing money away either, and why anyone would pay $40 for a few minutes lap dance beats me, when you could have a beauty entertain you all night for the same money. The only reason I can think of is for a conspicuous display of wealth, the Russian equivalent of making it rain roubles, but then why would you have private booths if you wanted to show off?

Probably the business plan is to get customers drunk and then get their money, but I don't see it working. In a country where any woman will show you her parts for free, stripping for money is like trying to bottle sunshine and sell it. Good luck, comrades.

He has usually been a class act. Maybe he just was having a bad day, but please keep posting Mani, good or bad.I'm sorry if I came across as snarky. Manizales should be congratulated for warning readers about this rip off joint. Others might have been naive enough to buy overpriced drinks for the girls, pay $40 for 3 minute lap dances etc. And having read his report they will know to give the place a miss. And as for the potential [CodeWord908] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord908) and pimping issue, let's not even go there.

PS, I am not having a bad day. It is sheer paradise here in Sosua with beautiful weather again today, bright sunshine and a cooling breeze, great food, gorgeous women etc. I spent the morning riding round the narrow lanes of the quaint little town of Charamicos, which reminds me a little of Italy or Greece, and was hailed by a lovely woman who invited me into her apartment for a glass of water and some freshly squeezed pussy, which I declined (not the water). Then on my return I got some medication from the pharmacy for a sick chica with a stomach ulcer, and took a long, long swim in a lap pool.

Life is too perfect (maybe the lull before the storm) , but I don't like to hear of people getting ripped off in sleazy US style strip clubs. I have never actually been in one, but once had two neighbors, one was a lap dancer and the other a stripper, who worked in a couple and they told me many stories of various ways to rip off customers. Ultimately they both left the business because of the problem of other girls stealing their tips and crooked and abusive management.

I wrote a detailed report about it a couple of weeks ago. From what I hear, there is a new place opening up in mid August. It will be a 'Passions' type hooker joint in Cabarete. Supposedly, there will be girls from EL Bohem and Cristal. Have you heard anything about this? The location is opposite Ocean Dream behind 'WOW' bar on the right hand side as you enter Cabarete from Sosua and the entrance is the small underpass in Plaza D'Alexander.

Check out this place http://www.vrbo.com/386507

I loved my first trip to D. R. Sorry no photos of the girls they were too afraid to take picture because they were afraid I would post them online. Haha.

Now I have a buddy who wants to go with me, but he would like to stay in a villa / apt that is obviously girl friendly and away from Sosua. He was thinking Cabarete or further east.

Since my experience is only with Sosua, I am not sure of the places to stay in cabarete that would offer privacy and amenities.

Anyone have information on villas or apt in cabarete, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Newbie here going to DR for a few days and planning to stay in Cabarete. My goal is to kite-surf during the day and then hit some action during the night, will also check out Sosua but I would like to stay in Cabarete. Can anyone recommend a nice girl-friendly hotel? I have RTFF but doesn't seem to be any clear recommendations.

Very clean and well kept condos. They need I'd, but no charge.

Just double check with whomever takes your reservations that it is ok, I have not been in a while.

Cabarete is a great place to hang out for me too.The police in Cabarete are cracking down on chicas working the beach. From time to time they arrest any Dominican / Haitian girl on the beach without a foreigner on their arm and keep them in the cells overnight. This is because they do not want any more overt prostitution in the area. In Cabarete the two authorized bars with girls are Exotica and Red House. There is another bar in the center called Arriba, which the police leaves alone. However, that bar doesn't have rooms so it is difficult getting the girl home and the nearby hourly rental rooms are real flea pits. No sheets on the bed and no bathroom.

It has not been a success. No one goes there and the girls are all quite old, not very attractive and plaster on the makeup with a trowel. I think they will probably drop the sex angle, because now they seem to have more success as an afterhours place. All the bars on the beach close at three, but Exotica goes on until about 5 in the morning, so the young surfy crowd goes over there. Then the only girls you see there are foreign girls with their boyfriends. They don't let unaccompanied Dominican girls in and their own girls seem to knock off before this after hours gig gets going.

I'll go back in after they are fully open just to check it out and report back here but me and my buddies figure they will be out of business in ninety days or so if they try to hold the line at being just a high end strip club.Your assessment was correct. The place didn't last more than a month after its official opening. The big sign across the street has gone. You are right. There are bars in the US that charge a $30 cover and bars in Milan that charge $20 a drink and bars in Berlin that charge $40 for a lapdance, but that charging structure just won't fly here. It must be something in the air here, but suddenly people get cheap when they land. For example, people will queue to pay $10 dollars for a coffee from a cart on the concourse at Miami airport waiting to board their flight to POP, but as soon as they get here they moan they have been ripped off if they are charged $2 for the same in a beach front bar! Jees, it's like getting blood out of a stone sometimes.

It could be that being in the DR makes people aware of how much they are ripped off in the US. I was at the Emergency Room of a private clinic in the DR last night with a woman who had severe chills, fever, sweating, vomiting, headache, flank pain and the total cost of the visit including urinalysis, blood count, an injection of an antipyretic, physician consult and prescribing was exactly 1200 pesos (US$30) without insurance. This was NOT a government hospital. This was NOT a copayment. The same treatment at an Emergency Room in the US would have been an absolute minimum of $US400, probably more. Same price (1200 pesos) here in the DR for a private physician consult including an ultrasound.

Or you can get a bottle of cold drinking water in the DR for about US 25 cents, and the same thing costs a dollar in the US at the supermarket and more at the gas station.

You might want to check out the prices in the departure area at Puerto Plata airport. I think it is about $US10 for an order of french fries. It is not just Miami or Puerto Plata. It is the same ripoff in airports all over the world.

Most likely I’m not the first to guess this, but I figure that with a bit of luck and proper marketing, in 20 years time Cabarete could become something similar to the Kuta / Seminyak area in Bali: a world renowned destination with some discreet p4p options.

As of now, Cabarete town is a stretch of road probably no more than a half a mile long. Don’t go picture a main road with some quiet side streets: it really is just one road with businesses on both sides.

The bars & restaurants area along the beach is even shorter, so that you can walk it in about 1 minute.
Also, while restaurants shut down around 11pm, nightlife doesn’t really get going until 2am, making it difficult to give a rhythm to your night out.

I wasn’t in Cabarete looking for company, and didn’t search out some of the places mentioned here: I just made a note that there were about 5 (clearly on the prowl) girls between Bambu and Onno’s (bars on the beach).

In the end I can only agree with what’s been said many times before: your activities in Cabarete, your mongering in Sosua. They’re only 15 minutes apart.

LA CASITA DE PAPI
Between Lax and Bambu.
Eating on the beach side in Cabarete will prove expensive, in some cases to European levels, but the food in this restaurant is absolutely worth it.

I'm going to be arriving in Cabarete next week, Friday. I've heard time and time again about Passions in Sosua. Yes, I'm well aware of it. And yes, there's a good chance I'll stop by it. Despite the short distance to Sosua from Cabarete, aside from hitting up Passions, I doubt I'll be going there much at all. With that in mind, I expect to spend the majority of my time in the condo I have rented Cabarete.

I'm not going on a sexcation per se. I'm actually going for a legitimate vacation, complete with touristy stuff like horseback riding, etc. But I welcome the added companionship if the situation presents itself. That said, something I feel that's a little difficult to come across is the sex scene in Cabarete. Through some diligent research, I've learned that Red House, Arriba, and Exotica are all in Cabarete. I believe Oxygen is in Caberete as well, but is priced for people who buy Bentleys. I drive a Kia. So, in other words, Oxygen is out of my price range. Especially since I already have a place to stay in.

So, other than Oxygen, are those three (Red House, Arriba, and Exotica) all that's available in Cabarete? What is the quality like? And how are the rates? I know there are separate rates for keeping someone on the grounds, and taking them off. I'm interested in both, but don't want to feel like I'm wasting my money on my condo, if I'm never there. Are the streetwalkers any better? Or should I stay away from them altogether (I've heard about them robbing people).

I've never done this before. So, forgive me for my ignorance.

A second night with one was 1000 DOP. I had one short time gal at a short time room at the west end of the strip that was about 1400 DOP.

When I was there May 8-19 Bambu was closed (as was at least one other place) for renovation. It seems. I was approached on the street just about every day, and it appeared that there was always one or two hanging out be the Kaoba hotel at the west end of town. There is a second floor bar called 'Arriba' (I think) on the opposite side of the street from Bambu and a little bit east or west (it has a fairly prominent sign mounted high).

Be sure to wander or concho west of town to Gordito's Mexican for great tacos and try pizza at Pomodoro at the west end of town on the beach. Sandros is good for sancocho and about mid-town on the opposite side of the road from the beach are a couple dudes with ratty looking hot dog stands. But the dogs are really good and damn cheap. Friends at the west side of town on the street is great for breakfast or coffee and the Bon ice cream shop is darn good.

Damn I miss that place. I had this little beauty for 4 days and she only asked for 5000 DOP (plus I gave her roommates 500 DOP to buy us all drinks and another 600 for a pedicure and flip flops for the girl).

You know if the hotel Viva Wyndham Tangerine is girl friendly.Stayed there last October. It is an AI (all inclusive). When you check in, one gets a wrist band. If you check in with a chica she'd get one too, but you would have to pay for her visit. Wyndam Tangerine is a great place for couples and families, but not for mongers. I recommend you staying in Sosua at one of many hotels, like New Garden, Casa Cayena, El Rancho, Terra Linda, etc.

kite beach hotel is great value with one of the most conscientious owners on the north coast.

but what are you guys coming for? if mainly for [CodeWord117] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord117) (the oceanic kind) with the occasional sexual adventure on the side, you made a great choice.

if you are coming mainly to fuck girls, you will get a lot more choice and action for your money by staying in sosua.

hello,

next week i will be in the dr cabarete on kite beach, and planning to make trips to sosua.

i did a week in bb almost two years ago. great time, but i am more of a hunter than having my food handed to me, with some [CodeWord118] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord118) thrown in, hence the destination change.

i did not know about this board then, but i am glad to have found this board now. lots of good information!

does anyone know:

1. what is the mongering scene in cabarete? i did not want to stay in sosua because i plan to get into [CodeWord118] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord118) on the beach, with a side of chicas 2 or 3 nights. i am into mostly into light-skinned dominicans or mullato is fine too.

2. what is the best way and how much to go to sosua (should i not find what i want in cabarete).

3. anyone have a referral for honest reliable scooter rental in cabarete?

any other tips for cabarete.

if you are in bb / costambar, lookup carlos for scooter rental, ask the bb front desk. he was honest and reliable

do not go to cabarete to monger, cabarete is only for kiteboarding and [CodeWord118] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord118), and that is the reason i went.

one night in search of a chica at ojos club in cab, i actually hooked up with a young beach blonde aussie babe whom i met earlier kiteboarding.

cabarete is a bizzaro reverse sosua, older euro and aussie women running their racket on young dominican men, who worship them.

it's not true that you won't find any chica's in cabarete, it's only a handful and not worth it.

based on the fact that the last post was mine at the beginning of my trip, nobody goes here anyway.

Hello,

Next week I will be in the DR Cabarete on Kite Beach, and planning to make trips to Sosua.

Any other tips for Cabarete.

If you are in BB / Costambar, lookup Carlos for scooter rental, ask the BB front desk. He was honest and reliableThe major scene in Cabarete is this place called the Oxygen Adult Resort, which is an all-inclusive. And I really mean ALL-inclusive. It's a little pricey, so check the website. I had a great time there. If it is within your means, I would recommend trying it out for at least one night, and you can decide whether to extend the stay. When you see the girls there, you can pretty much presume that they are the best the island has to offer. You can then decide whether you want to drop a notch. I decided that I didn't. An added caveat is that that one night price would include your pickup and transport to and from the airport. Personally, I wouldn't want to ride around in a scooter in that area.

I did hear that new place called Field of Dreams has opened nearby, which has a similar set up. I have no experience there, but the forum shows that experiences have been mixed.

If the center of your stay is in Cabarete, Sosewer might be a bit of a hike. Regardless of what advice you may get, do NOT move your base out of Cabarete. I travel alot for surfing and diving, and have learned that it is always better to commute to party rather than to commute for daytime activities. Water activities are usually better in the morning, with high tide. Better to just wake up and hit the waves.

The major scene in Cabarete is this place called the Oxygen Adult Resort, which is an all-inclusive.I would not exactly call OXYGEN Resort "The major scene" in Cabarete!

At $800 / night, this is no bargain, I spend that in a week on FOOD, DRINK, & CHICAS in a week, mas o menos.

Your "average" monger probably spends $150-$175 a day on a one week vacation (ALL IN) + airfair.
Different strokes for different folks.

Different strokes for different folks.Perhaps calling it a "scene" was going too far. I was just trying to give options located in Cabarete. I think that travel books like Frommers and Lonely Planet can give the impression that Cabarete is an established city / destination, which I think is misleading.

Yes it is pricey, and it has definitely gotten pricier since the last time I was there, when it was about $650 / night. But I would definitely defend it as a superior experience. But yeah, $800 is high. I am hoping that the manager is following the forums, and will slightly lower his prices accordingly.

Manny, it's YOUR money to spend as you choose, great you can afford it.

I personally choose to budget my monger dollars differently, I am just a poor working schlepp.

For that kind of wood, I would rent a suite at VIPS in Rio with my three favorite Garotas.

better to go to cabaret for [CodeWord118] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord118) and stay in sosua; the day or two your are tired to do [CodeWord117] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord117) you stay in sosua, but ofcourse i never tire of the night scene in sosua, so better for me.

anyway, i'm glad that you were able to figure it out and have a good time.

I said I want to stay only a few nights there and then maybe get a place in Cabarete for surfing. He said it's easy to find transport to and from and booked my whole stay in Sosua anyway. We'll see how that works out.

I heard the best surfing is at Encuentro which is about 7km from Cabarete. I'm hoping to find easy commute there for early morning surf. Can anyone tell me if there are board rentals right there on the beach?

I would love to hit up Cabarete for some nights as well and see if I can pull some tourist chicks and not just rely on Sosua chicas. It would be nice to have a hotel right there for easy commute showers, and not worrying and trying to get back to Sosua late at night-I'm 6'2, 235lb and 34yo but I know I can still be harassed in the wrong place at the wrong time.

All in all, I'll be in DR for 9 nights. Any tips on hotels, surfboard rentals, commuting, or anything else would be awesome.

any tips on hotels, surfboard rentals, commuting, or anything else would be awesome.sorry to disappoint you, but cabarete isn't really a surfing / boogieboarding place. what it is very well known for is windsurfing / kitesurfing. the waters are somewhat calm, and yet very windy, which makes it a great place to windsurf. that's what cabarete is known for, and there are many places to rent, and if you just show up there, you should have no problem.

my comment to the other member was basically about the choice of picking hotels; the common quagmire of either commuting to [CodeWord120] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord120) versus commuting to party. and when talking about these decisions, they were from experiences in other destinations, like jaco in costa rica and bali, where the two activities can be separated by some physical distance. very few destinations have everything in one place. the only destinations that i can think of that are close to ideal off the top of my head are phuket (diving) , rio (surfing) , and los cabos (surfing). bonaire used to be good too (diving) , but not anymore.

the choice may be difficult for you because, at least when i went there a few years ago, cabarete was still pretty barren, with minimal tourist infrastructure. i remember thinking that books like lonely planet had been a little misleading. but that was a while ago, and things may have changed. my understanding may not be current.

As a beginner I cannot tell you much besides the waves are small and the water is very shallow. I almost split my head open on some rocks. That was the end of my surfing career.

The biggest club in cabarete is ojos, open only on Friday and Saturdays believe, has a rooftop patio and a main floor, other days the place to be is onos bar, small but popular, there is also another bar next door.

You can find chicas but very limited and small selection, the reason I moved my base to Sosua.

Any tips on hotels, surfboard rentals, commuting, or anything else would be awesome.Agree with others, cabarete main reason to go is windsurfing or kiteboarding. The best kiteboarding is at kite beach, about five minutes on a motoconcho from central cabarete towards Sosua. Extremely high winds there, perfect for kiteboarding.

Did not see anyone surfing and only a few windsurfing, almost everyone was kiteboarding.

In terms of tourist chicks, it's a challenge. As I said earlier, cabarete is where tourist chicks go to hook up with Dominican men. I got lucky in hooking up with an Australian hottie with a tight body only because I met her earlier at kite club, took lessons together, had lunch so there was chemistry already. Every other European or Aussie chick dancing with Dom guys.

Good food at gorditos, ask hotel front desk for directions.

Interesting report by a guy on the ground that post in a blog:

Cabarete is a Goldmine.

Posted on March 23, 2013.

It's 7am right now and I don't usually work on website stuff this early but I have a good story to tell from being out most of the nite, cause I don't usually go out at night. As you readers and website members know I'm pretty sick of Sosua. I complain about it all the time, because its worth complaining about. It's a tourist trap and nothing more. A filthy, run down ghetto full of overpriced mostly FAT and dirty hard-hustling 3rd world hookers that wear the same clothes everyday. (some girls believe they have lucky clothes that help them get picked more, serious.)

If its your first trip here you may think of this as heaven simply because they are all new faces to you being fresh off the plane. If its your 3rd trip or you happen to have moved here to flee from pending warrants, mafia hitmen, or dog the bounty hunter then the sights get old rather fast. How often do florida residents go to Disney World? Not too often. So you get my drift. So yeah man after a while you've basically fucked the whole town, all the sosua working girls know you on a first name basis, and the street hustlers don't even flinch when you walk by. That I don't mind. But you long for some new pussy and new experiences. Unfortunately as a gringo you're always going to have to pay for it, either in money, clothes, cell phone minutes, whatever. Some girls take canned food from me too on their way out the door. One even took my spare lightbulbs. They take what they can get. But regardless new pussy is new pussy.

Anyhow here is what I discovered about Cabarete. There is a handful of gringo bars there on the main strip and a few on the beach too. There are hookers there too but mostly on weekend nights out in force. All new faces. Its nice what can I say. So anyhow I met this nice little joven princess and told her I'd come back in an hour for her. She calls me in a half hour mumbling some spanglish and when I get back there she's gone. Whatever. I got her number and theres plenty of working girls to go around. One that made eyes at me with big fucking brown eyes and curly long hair was still there so I talked to her for a minute. She wanted a beer. Wasn't going to happen. Explained to her that I'm a cheap ass, then further explained I'm leaving now and if she wanted to make 1000 pesos the option was there or she could try her luck with other gringos who would likely pay her more.

Now what puzzled me is why would a girl of this caliber with a nice model type body, pretty face, no scars / tattoos etc NOT be in Sosua. I had to ask her. And she simply said 'Sosua mucho chicas'. And I accepted that answer on face value, took her home, cooked something nice for her, and fucked her for a good 45 minutes or so til she said no mas. I didn't get my nut and was dissappointed somewhat but whatever. For 1000 pesos you can't' work them that hard or expect too much. On her way back home she asked me to translate something on her phone, a text message from her american boyfriend who sends her money. Anyway I put 2 and 2 together at this point. Her ass was in Cabarete not because of the 'mucho chicas' in Sosua but because she has an american boyfriend wiring her money and she can't risk being seen / caught in Sosua else the gravy train may stop. And you know all these cops, firefighters, correctional officers, bus drivers, etc know each other via frat houses, masonic halls, alumni, or other various organizations so a chick can't risk being seen in Sosua while running the good girl game. And this was a good girl with a nice basketball ass, low mileage, beautiful sexy hair. I won't elaborate to keep her identity on the low low but she's the type of girl you would see at Ballys on the elliptical machine at 5am running like a train.

So basically I fucked somebodys western union girlfriend for 25 bucks, probably less than the fee that W. U. Charges for the sender. I think what happens is girls get in jams in between money transfers and need a thousand pesos here or there to pay bills or emergencies that suddenly come up. Or some are just greedy working girls. So just cause they're not in Sosua doesn't mean they're not selling pussy. A working girl will sell pussy until she drops dead. But yeah, Cabarete is the low-key spot because there are not very many sex tourists there. I certainly didn't see any taxi minivans full of big 300lb football n* roll up there last night and I hope it stays that way. What can I say its nice to fish in some new ponds and get some fresh talent. Also by the way Cabarete is a wonderful place to bring your 'real' girlfriend out on a date. You wouldn't want to walk the streets of sosua with ANYONE trust me on that. Chances are I've fucked her along with everyone else in a 5 mile radius.

Excellent! Thanks for posting.

After 10+ trips in 18 Months, I totally "basically fucked the whole town, all the sosua working girls know you on a first name basis, and the street hustlers don't even flinch when you walk by"

Yet, contrary to the writer, at 11pm I still get to be at D'Latin. Nothing I can do about it.

I do usually manage to find a very special girl in Sosua most nights. It just takes work. And if I really like her, I'll take her to finish the night on one of the beach discos of Caberete.

But yes, Cabarete is a Goldmine. I've met or taken there quite a few girls who would not hang out in Sosua by fear for their reputation. Including one that fits exactly the writer's case.

hi everyone,

french guy with good english but basic spanish will be staying for a week in wydham tangerine on my own (kitesurf class ). looking for friends to go for a beer outside of the hotel from april 22nd to 2!hi houba.

i hope you get a response to your appeal, but very few here actually stay in cabarete so you may be unlucky.

if no response, i suggest you take a trip to sosua (15 minute ride). easy to meet guys there, on the beach in daytime and at numerous locations described here after dark. i suggest first trip by daylight to find your way around. cost you 35 pesos (less than a dollar) each way on the carrito publico (shared taxi running on a fixed route) so not much to lose. and there is little to do in cabarete besides [CodeWord117] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord117) so you will be glad to have a change of scenery. the publico route ends in sosua so you cannot go wrong.

incidentally this is a sex board. the only two activities you express an interest in are kitesurfing and drinking beer. are you on the wrong board? if you are actually interested in meeting girls for sex then say so. you will find this a lot easier to do in sosua.

i assume that you will not be allowed to take putas back to the tangerine so you will have to pay for a room whichever town you are in.

while in cabarete, make sure you drop into the kite beach inn for a look round. it is not as plush as the tangerine, but a nice hotel and a lot cheaper. and the owner can introduce you to some reliable ex-pats who will make your holiday more enjoyable. you might make it your choice for your next visit.

i am indeed also looking for girls.

i have unfortunately already paid for accomodation. i am stuck in tangerine.

i actually picked up a full package which included flight + accomodation + kitesurfing.

next time i will split the 3.

as far as girls are concerned, i am happy going to sosua, is there any particular place where there is "higher" quality choice? i am a bit selective and prepared to pay for a higher price if the quality is there.

I have unfortunately already paid for accomodation. I am stuck in Tangerine.Yes, I assumed that. I was writing about any future trip.

Although the Kite Beach Inn is not a monger hotel (you cannot adopt a revolving-door policy for taking in different girls) , the American owner is a straightforward and friendly guy who knows all about the monger scene and can hook you up with other mongers (but not directly with girls) if you talk to him discreetly.

Incidentally, do not confuse it with the Kite Beach Hotel. That is a different place.

I actually picked up a full package which included flight + accomodation + kitesurfing.

Next time I will split the 3.I have no reason to think you will not have a thoroughly enjoyable and value-for-money holiday at the Tangerine. It might work out cheaper to do it your way, so I would not rush to change your strategy. Just make enquiries and price up alternatives, and the time to do that is when your boots (or flippers) are on the ground.

As far as girls are concerned, I am happy going to Sosua, is there any particular place where there is "higher" quality choice? I am a bit selective and prepared to pay for a higher price if the quality is there. There are many issues here.

(1) This is a sex board, so we assume (not always correctly) that sex is the main objective of the trip. But if you are just looking for a conventional sports holiday, with the odd sexual adventure on the side, then the all-inclusive hotel route you have chosen may well be the best option.

(2) If fucking numerous different chicas is the main object of your trip, then all-inclusive hotels can be limiting, as you either have to pay a day-pass for each chica you take in (and many don't offer than option. I don't know about the Tangerine) or you have to book a short-time room. This makes sex expensive and is not always convenient.

(3) All the girls in Sosua are free-lance. They are not obviously working for pimps or establishments. That means it is down to you what type of chica you pick and how much you negotiate to pay. There are a hundred posts about that in the Sosua section if you read up.

As to "quality" there are at least three definitions:

(1) Physical looks. And everyone of us here has different preferences. Some of the chicas the guys proudly post I would not fuck even if they paid me and I am sure the converse applies to my choices. It is a good thing we all do not like the same.

(2) Variety of sexual services provided and the skill and enthusiasm (or lack of) of the chica.

(3) The overall character of the chica, intelligence, honesty, companionability. For those of us (often the older guys) who like to spend extended time in a chica's company this outweighs other issues.

But everything is on the menu in Sosua. It is up to you to make wise choices according to your personal priorities. Meeting up with a few experienced mongers and ex-pats early in your trip should help you learn how things work and avoid some of the usual pitfalls.

I came here from Europe on monger trips for four years, and have been living here for five, and I have never found the slightest correlation between "quality" and "price paid". Others will tell you differently. Of course, if you want a fair-skinned "cheerleader" type they are at a premium in the DR and will cost a lot more, but they come with no guarantees as to criteria (2) and (3). If you only like fair-skinned girls you have come to the wrong part of the wrong country.

The pay-for-sex scene is a lot more limited in Cabarete and more expensive, but for a short trip may satisfy your needs. Cabarete is preponderantly for younger couples and groups of friends, so has a lively "conventional" nightlife. The nightlife in Sosua is dominated by working girls and semi-working girls hunting for prey. Depends what you like and are looking for.

Thanks Charles,

I am indeed also looking for girls.

I have unfortunately already paid for accomodation. I am stuck in Tangerine.

I actually picked up a full package which included flight + accomodation + kitesurfing.

Next time I will split the 3.

As far as girls are concerned, I am happy going to Sosua, is there any particular place where there is "higher" quality choice? I am a bit selective and prepared to pay for a higher price if the quality is there.Sosua is a town where the primary product of the local economy is pretty much based on visiting punters. There are many bars with ladies hanging out. If you go to Sosua at night, especially after 9 pm, you can't miss it. As to whether these ladies are to your liking, that's a matter of taste.

There are some organized places called Blackbeards and Field of Dreams. You can read about them. Very good environments, though they are far from Cabarete, especially blackbeards. You would need a car if you are basing yourself in Cabarete for kite surfing.

There is one higher end place called Oxygen Adult Resort. Its right in your neighborhood, maybe about 5-10 minute drive past Cabarete. You can check out their website. It is an all inclusive place, though they went through some reorganization lately and may offer ala carte. This place has always been expensive, but they recently upped the prices and now it is REALLY expensive, so much so that I think few could afford it. And the only way it even approaches being cost effective is if you stay there. For ala carte only, that makes the effective price even higher.

So basically I fucked somebodys western union girlfriend for 25 bucks, probably less than the fee that W. U. Charges for the sender. I think what happens is girls get in jams in between money transfers and need a thousand pesos here or there to pay bills or emergencies that suddenly come up.Or perhaps she just gets horny from time to time and what else can she do when her W. U. Boyfriend isn't around?

You read the same stories on the Philippine or Thai boards. Quite a lot of girls get (multiple sponsors) over time and are not too coy about it. We are all only human, or do you think their sponsors remain chaste when they are back in The World and will save up all their juice for when they are back in Pattaya or AC?

Any advice or recommendations as to which school to use in the Cabarette area to learn to kite-surf. Also any recommendations for rentals, s etc and what makes the most sense for a newbie to this sport. Will be staying in Sosua for three weeks and saw some flyers with instruction and rental rates, etc. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Nice set up in front of Millenium Spa resort (2mns walk on the beach from Viva Tangerine). But no wind today.

So I have decided to go girl surfing this afternoon.

I rented a car and will start exploring.

I like them both but the main attraction for the timid, lazy, or unfit is that you can live there in a sheltered environment and enjoy home comforts and ample sex without venturing out. But not the most economical to visit and a way smaller selection than on the streets of Sosua.

But if you did fancy visiting Field of Dreams you certainly would not need a car. Board the guagua outside your hotel and alight outside Field of Dreams. 60 pesos (US$1. 50) one way (50 minute ride). Blackbeards is further and a lot harder to get to on the cheap.

Oxygen is just a rip-off to entrap those who know nothing.

I have crossed swords with Manny before about rentals. I think he has shares in a rental company!

My first post as a member. I just came back to the USA After being in Cabarete for 5 days. Great learning and pleasurable experience. I was lucky to find two great economical hotels and both were Chica friendly, Hotel Alegria for $35 dollars and an even better one San Souci with Ocean views, with a cheapest room for just $30 dollars including tax. The San Souci was better because is an Apata Hotel and it has the beach next to it. The two hotels are next to each other and all the bars and all the beach bars and clubs are within a short walk. A great location with a big supermarket nearby and transportation to Sosua, Puerto Plata and other towns is right there. I was able to find nice chicas in the beach bars in Cabarete (So I did not have to go to Sosua at all) and brought nice chicas to both the Alegria Hotel and the San Souci apartments. The prices of the Chicas are negotiable but $40 or $50 is more than enough per chica and for a couple of hours. My only concern is that you have to be careful or watch out for the overly friendly Dominicans. That was my problem for becoming friendly with some Motoconcho people. I am Dominican born but has not been in the DR for 25 years and almost fell for the overly friendly and humble Dominican that some want to portray. Those types of guys for the most part just want to earn your trust to later get your money and can get you in trouble easily if you begin to trust them. So just be careful with those. Someone who was overly friendly and I was beginning to trust was offering to take me to various places. He convinced me and took me to a place next to the Alegria hotel where they have some high end Chicas. The girls were for 6 to 10 but expensive and I took one of the girls for 2 hours to the Hotel for $100 dollars. The girl was stunning for my taste but she sucked in bed. She was like a doll and did not do anything. She just lay in bed until I got it done. I did not feel like doing her again even thought she was so pretty so then I told her she could go if she wanted and she called a Motoconcho guy and left. As for the friendly guy, I did not have any unfortunate event thank God, because I stop interacting with the guy after a security guy at my Hotel told me to be careful with the guy cause he was a thief and that the guy likes to pray on tourist. He said that the guy one time sold some drugs to a tourist one time to later get some Police to get money out of the tourist. Next time I saw the friendly guy, he was telling me some sorry story and that he needed some money. I told him a lie to get him off my back and told him that the chicaI got from the place took all my money and that I needed to leave to the USA the next day because of that. I did give him 25 dollars for taking me to the brothel next door and for various Motoconcho services and that was it. In any case, the experiences with the Chicas from the Cabarete bars was very pleasant. There were many hatians and dark Dominicans, some pretty some ugly ones, and some local Dominicans women that come from other towns of DR. Even for me a Dominican born was hard to distinguish some of the dark Hatians from the dark Dominicans until the hatians spoke with their french accent. I met a really pleasant white Dominican chica in one of bars / Club on the beach strip. She wanted 60 dollars and then I negotiate to 50 or 2000 dominican pesos. She seemed pretty Happy with the $50 as they tend to get less money and I took her to the Alegria Hotel for two hours. She was real girlfriend experience, sweet, active.

And very accomodating. Because of the nice experience, I decided to see her the next day and the next day was even better. The next day the girl said she wanted me to be her boyfriend but I told her thanks but no, and that I couldn't cause I did not want a long distance relationship and also I that had a girl in the US (a lie). I think this is a way the girls try to get money from guys from other countries that they meet and like but I did not fall for that trap. I told her that when I come back to the DR again I will call her and treat her good. Also the next day I changed Hotel to San Souci Aparthotel. This Hotel was even cheaper and better Just 30 per night with very good security and informative people there. I recommend Cabarete and the San Souci aparments for those experience and new mongers like me.

I am a little foxed though. Are you into kite boarding or wind surfing? If not, do not see the value of cabarete. Prices are higher for women and you have had to fend off the friendly Dominicans. Besides, you being of Dominican extraction, isn't it easier for you to go the friends / family route?

I agree the info on the hotels is great. Sosua has a taint to some DR people that Caberete does not. You invite a girl to Caberete you are a hero. Invite the same girl to Sosua you are cad. Many natives know about Sosua rep for putas and will not go. You can wine and dine a sweety and still be close to the action in Sosua. I have two sisters I plan to hit. One in SD and the other in Caberete may be.

In this trip, my plan was just to visit the DR and see different places. I found Cabarete to be a great base to visit other parts of the countries as well as to enjoy the.

Beach and the chica environment. Also I wanted to learn surfing, but my plan changed after I burned my back the first day then I concentrated my efforts in the Chicas. I was born in Santiago but most of my family migrated to the USA 25 year ago or more. Also no longer have a connection with my old friends therefore that was not a.

Priority for me. Women variety and prettyness is much better in Santiago but the Chica environment there is very limited compared to Cabarete or Sosua. Also I found the Chica athmosphere in Sosua to be too much for me, and noticed too many tigres (tigers) as Dominican call the delinquents and huslers there, therefore I preferred.

Cabarete to Sosua. The overly friendly guy in Cabarete was just an experience that taught me not to associate or befriend too much the local low class or any class of.

Friendly people or huslers. Those guys or girls are everywhere in the Island. I visited friends and family in Santiago and Santo Domingo thought but came back the same.

Day to continue enjoying the Cabarete experience. One thing I loved about Cabarete besides the Chicas was the transportation of Guaguas, the small Cars and Caribe.

Tours or the Metro could connect you easily to towns (capital, Santiago, Samana, etc) nearby and far away and then you could come back before dark easily. I Did not.

Venture into renting a car after seeing how terrible people drive and after finding how accessible was the public transportation. I don't mind getting into a crowded.

Guagua or Car and found it to be much safer than being alone with an unknown guy in a Motoconco or a regular Taxi. The family and friends I had in the DR are not into.

Mongering or would find my lifestyle disgusting, besides they were just going to take my time away if I decided to stay with them. I will be back again to the DR to.

Continue exploring the Island from a good base like I was in Cabarete and just onmy own as I did. And I still need to learn how to surf and Cabarete seems to be a good place to learn surfing.

I think that The prices of Cabarete chicas are similar to Sosua. It all depends on how much you willing to pay, your negotiating skills, and also the girl's look and her price range. Some girls will go with you for less than $20 dollars or less if you are looking for cheap girls. I found girls willing to go with you for 500 pesos or something like 13 dollars.

Some asking for 3000 pesos or 70 dollars. I usually don't take the cheap one because they are usually not that good looking. The Hatians will go for almost anything you give them in you like hatians. For myself, I like nice looking and light Dominican chicas and I am not that cheap when I find one that I like. Also don't like to overpay. I tend to pay $40 or $50 for a nice one or even more when I find a pretty and sweet Gem.

I am surprised that despite the fact that you are of Dominican extraction, you are paying full price, without getting into Sosua / Cabarete comparison. I would think that one such as yourself, can get hooked through introductions by friends and family. The fact that your family may look down upon your "hobby" was even more bewildering as on these boards it is commonly held, that it is a game played daily by the local males, irrespective of age, across the island.

Tempoecorto,

It is true that friends and family can help a great deal with introductions. However, the type of introductions that good friends and family are more prone to find are for long term committed relationship types, not what I want now. I don't think a really good friend or family member is the one that will be helping one get hookers. Also, what kind of friend is that that will be helping a female friend or family member to date a gringo or foreign guy so that the friend gets played by the gringo or foreight guy. I grew up in DR Santiago till I was 20 years old. That was like 25 years ago. Back then going to brothels or finding hookers was not the norm and was some type of aberration that many did, but discreetly. An uncle took me to a brothel in Santiago when I was 16, but he asked me then not to tell my mother or anyone. Although it seems from staying in Sosua or Boca Chica and seeing so many chicas and guys looking for them and because it also legal that getting the chicas is normal, it is still considered a lifestyle of the perverted. The perception of most foreigh people also changes from being on those chica populated places and I noticed that many think that all Dominican women are putas or chicas and this is not true at all. From the time I was living there till today, I can see that prostitution has grown greatly, but it is still not view in the Dominican society as a good thing. Many local guys like to play the games and find chicas for themselves, but this is still something that is done by the local guys very discreetly (also many brag about things they don't actually do and you may get the perception that they are players but they just talk bull shit and don't do shit) as no one wants it to be known that that they visit brothels frequently or go to Sosua or other places to get hookers. Or just try this experiment, try to assimilate the society, move to a nice middle class or upper class neighborhood, and tell people that you are a gringo that goes to DR to pay for chicas, bring the chicas in to the neighborhood, be opened about it, and see how people will react. You will be called soon "el gringo de las putas" and will soon be an outcast despised in the neighborhood. The chicas will still love you though and Sosua will still receive you with open arms. Introductions with Dominican women for long term relationships is not my thing as for now I am happy as a free monger interested in exploring the world, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, India, the phylipines, European chicas, etc and not just the DR chicas. As your name implies, time is short, therefore we have to make the most of it and enjoy it.

Can you provide more info about the love motel on the east of Cabarete that you are referring to? The east is too long of a stretch. What is the name and address? And about the chicas in the pic? Did you bring those chicas in or do they work there? Its about 3 miles (5. 5 km) outside of Cabarete heading east to Sabaneta de Yasica, on the right. If you are in Sabaneta, you've gone too far. As far as I know, it's the only one on that stretch of road. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name or the address. I've only talked to people there through a carousel in-bedded in the wall. I should admit that I have not read this thread for a long time, the name might be mentioned in post down this thread.

No women work there as far as I know.

In the past it was a good spot to take a waitress. That is, someone who wants to spend time with you, but can't be seen hanging out with a foreigner. In my experience, flirting with local women in Cabarete, sometimes everything hangs on having a discrete room and way to get there without locals seeing you (I. E. Your own car or a trusted cab at night).

However, these girls were from Sosua; we traveled together along the north coast for a couple of days. You can find them on the beach in Sosua. The girl on the left speaks some Spanish and a little less English, her friend only speaks Creole. I did pull a local Cabarete girl off the street and took her to this spot in December last year. There are less expensive, less discrete spots around. These girls seemed impressed with the room though; they yanked out their phones and started taking photographs of themselves; it was really fun.

Sosua is a better mongering destination than Cabarete thought. For that reason is the preferred destination of ISG mongers. I agreed that It is a loud and is a poor neighborhood, a slump by DR standards and can also be dangerous in some areas at night. But staying within the confines of Pedro Clisante and a chica friendly hotel nearby, and the beach during the day and afternoon, Sosua is a relatively safe mongering paradise. As for Cabarete it is totally different environment. It is more relax and for the families, loved couples, and sport wind surfer traveler. It is an interesting feel when you are dining and drinking with a hooker in Cabarete in one of those restaurants on the beach srip and beach view. Feels like you are in a honeymoon with a hooker, so romantic LOL.

I am considering a trip to Cabarette or Sosua this summer. I am glad to see that two great Cabarete chica friendly and affordable places continue to advertise in booking.com:

1) San Souci apartments http://www.booking.com/hotel/do/san-souci-apartments.html.

From $34 per night for studio apartments and $50 if you want an ocean view.

2) Hotel Alegria http://www.booking.com/hotel/do/alegria.html.

$30 per room and $38 rooms with ocean view and apartments starting at $45.

That being said, Hotel Alegria looks like a great place. It's ranked #7 of 19 hotels in Cabarete and won a Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor.

San Souci Apartments (listed as Playa Sans Souci Hotel on TripAdvisor), is ranked #16 of 19 hotels in Cabarete. The reviews mention shady employees, personal items stolen from rooms, and a run-down complex.

Just my two cents.

Thanks for the info. I speak for experience thought as I have used them both. I liked them.

Both. The Alegria was a bit more secured because the setting is more like a hotel that you have to pass a reception area or security at night to get to your room. I liked the San Suci more more because was more private with the apartment setting with no need to check a chica via a reception. It has one of the most impressive beach views I have seen cause its constructed so closed to the water. The facility was pretty clean and not run down as the trip advisor you noted at least when I went in 2014. There was a security guard at night patrolling the area and I saw no security during the day, only a reception area opened to check in / out. I did not meet any shady staff. In fact a security guard was helpful to me and alerted me about not hanging out with a motoconcho guy that was a thief and I was using a lot. No items were stolen from me cause I don't leave any valuable items and in the DR no matter which place you are high class or low class, you don't leave valuables such as a smart phone, wallet, laptop etc in a room or they will disappear. In 20-4, I check the reviews of a hotel in Boca Chica and all reviews were great, and when I got there the hotel was a dump. Best thing to do and I do this often is not to book too many days in advance or just one day or better to check the place in in person before booking. TripAdvisor is a good tool but keep in mind that many people in the world are pure complainers and have nothing positive to say about anything, just like in this board LOL, and give bad reviews of places that are in fact pretty good.

I've used TripAdvisor quite a bit in traveling to 21 different countries since 2008. It's only steered me wrong once (Guatemala City), so I have a lot of faith in that website.

CerebroI strongly object to this. I on many occasions stay in hotels that have no "lockers" and I have left my money and passport in my bag (and definitely my laptop. Charging on the desk) including my trip last month. I have on occasion, left the woman (granted this was no woman I picked up in a Sosua bar for an hour's tete a tete) in the room watching TV while I was chatting outside, again with my things inside my bag. Finally, and I have recounted this story, that I left an expensive watch in a hotel in Bonao and when I became aware of it missing and called the hotel two days later, they promptly said they have the watch which means the cleaning staff had brought the watch to the reception. People can be poor in any land but most are with a moral compass, DR is no exception.

Yeah you maybe right. I guess that is just my general rule when I travel that I don't leave anything in the room that is of value except for my dirty clothes. I rather carry my passport, credit cards, money, than leaving it in a safe or locker. And that is not only the DR where I'm this paranoic, that includes any country I visit.
