If someone is in Dr. i would like to know how much is the bith controll pill (monthly)
I believe the morning after pill is available on the north coast. I had an unwise, unprotected, but extremely pleasurable time with a chica desperate to be my novia. Later (after the presidentes y brugal wore off) I told her we need to get a morning after bill. After I explained what it was she hit me with the "no puedo, soy católica". So I managed to find a "good" catholic girl that doesn't believe in birth control, but will fuck me sin condon after knowing me 3 days. She did confirm that the pill is available.

Actually, I'm not aware of her doing that... not saying it didn't happen, but just not to my knowledge. (what do I know) I was actually referring to the fact that I thought she was a good bartender, and seemed to make sure that other staff ( waitresses) handled my orders promptly.

Went to Passions, then Classico's. To make a long story short, I found who all in my group agreed was the hottest chica in the place! I snagged her up quick and me and another dude decided to go back to BBs with our prizes. Eagerly anticipating the ogling eyes of other mongers the next morning at Breakfast--I just knew I was gonna want this one all night and all my "equipment" (baby oil, candles, lingerie) was back there and I really wanted to enjoy this one. The car was parked in front of New Garden. I went in to grab my stuff, noticing how easy it would have been for me to just skip out and not pay. So, I'm a little hot under the collar right about now, but, my big head helped my little head try to salvage the night and we went to a Cabana "Hollywood". Man, this ***** was a starfish, a brick. I tried massaging her, relaxing a bit before going in for the kill. She was all business and not even trying to make an effort. I did something I never thought I would do in DR.

Anyway, since she lived in POP, I drove her to her place and gave her 1000 for her time and loss of income for the night. See I am a nice guy. I did drive off on her ass before she could close my door though. The morale to the story is: Watch out for these Classico's hoes. Study them, get a good feel for what you're going to get when you leave, before you leave. Above all don't pay until the deed is done. If it doesn't feel like she's gonna be into it, she's probably not--don't get inside her and you'll be justified in not paying. Will I go back to Sosua and Classico's? Hell yeah, those bitches are bangin and just require a more judicious screening process.

1. Would you recomend getting a room for a week or renting a apartment?
2. How easy is it to find lets say the other pleasures of a south american country i.e the white or green (carlos escobar)? I dont want to get robbed going into the ghetto i have heard brazil is a dangerous place.
3. What is the most i should pay for tln?
4. What is a good amount of money to bring for the week? Girls and party favors included.
5. Would you recomend renting a car or using taxis?

Some of the questions are so dependant on personal taste they are almost impossible to answer; like asking "should I have the apple or the orange?"
As for the DR: (North Coast)
1. A: It depends. How much experience do you have in this area?
For a first-timer, a hotel is probably better. (IMHO)
2. DR: NA
3. It depends. Location/circumstances/girl.
In Puerto Plata (Blackbeards) TLN is typically 2500 pesos.
In Sosua, depending on the quality of the girl, time of night, how desperate she is/you are, you can get it for less.
4. It depends. How much do you spend on food/drink/girls/miscellaneous?
Some guys pinch pennies, some throw cash in the air.
Some can have a blast with 2,000 dollars US for a week, some need twice that.
6. DR: First-timer should use a cab. Suicidal local drivers, corrupt police, unfamiliar locations, etc.
5. You have to do the math here, amigo.
DR/North Coast:
food: $10 US per meal (average)
hotel: $30-80 per night (your choice of accomodations)
girl: $30-40 short time (average)
$60-80 TLN (average) depends on factors above
bar: $2-3 per beer (average) depends on you.
You really need to do some research on things like accomodations, prices for sex, etc. Advice can help, but you gotta "do the math" yourself.
Its too individual-dependant.
No substitute for experience. Start conservatively, and go from there.

Interesting story Rodeo. I think we've all been there. Some nights things can just fall into place and go like clockwork. Other nights, it's just like your experience. Sosua's like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get. You need to spend more than just one day there to get the real experience because the new guy on the scene is gonna get tried out real quick.
My first trip there was a bit of a rocky experience but I didn't give up on the place and when I returned my second time I had a fantastic time because I knew the area, some people and the way things worked in Sosua. I can still remember seeing guys who were obvious newbies and saying to myself that was me a couple of months ago. Looking forward to going back ASAP.

People always say don’t go to the DR in the summer because it’s too hot. While it’s true that it gets warmer here in June, July and August. It’s not that hot. It’s cooler than it is in Florida and many times, cooler than it is in Southern Ontario. For all you non- Canadians, to find Southern Ontario, go to Rochester and look North. You’ll see the lights.
There are several good places to stay I Costambar and deals can be had.
Blackbeards, the perennial favorite will run you $63.60 to $138 depending on the type of room that you want and it has one stop shopping.
Around the corner from Blackbeards is Residential Atlantic One. This apartment complex is managed by Ricardo 809-970-7245. Fully furnished 1 bedroom apartments with AC in the bedroom. Daily maid service, pool and an on site restaurant with pretty good food. The price per night is $50.
Down the road is Loase Raquetball Club and Resort. www.loase.com. The owner is Joe and he can be reached at 809-970-7831 or 809-837-6845. The rooms are a little tired, but they are clean and comfortable, air conditioned and the price is right. Nice pool, but no real bar or restaurant. Rates are $40 to $65 a night, but this time of year he’s open to negotiation. I know that some people are paying $30 a night. CASH ONLY.
The same owner also has an incredible villa for rent called Casa Obear.
Their website is currently under construction, but you can reach the owner at the numbers for Loase. If there’s a group of you coming down this is definitely worth checking out. An absolutely incredible view. There are 6 bedrooms with baths, huge kitchen and living room, beautifully landscaped property, pool, BBQ, private security, permanent water and electricity and maid service. For a small additional price, they’ll even arrange a cook for you. At around $1200 per week for the entire villa, it’s a heck of a deal for a group of guys who want to have a serious party.
If you’re looking for one stop shopping and don’t care about price, Blackbeards is the way to go. If you are a little more adventuresome or budget conscious, the others are well worth checking out. While you won’t find chicas on site, they are all chica friendly.
Even in this country the law of supply and demand holds true. Remember, the chicas are here all year round. If there are half the tourists, do the math. They still want to make some money. THERE ARE DEALS TO BE HAD

I can handle lunch and dinner.Just around the corner from Bieke's Bar, the is a place called R & B Bakery. It's run by a German baker and his Dominican girlfriend. Breakfast starts off with juice and coffee, pancakes, homemade bread and preserves. After that comes bacon and eggs. All the coffe you want. The owner is very friendly, the food is good and plentiful. It's also only RD$160.
Spikes Bar ( formerly the Gym Bar ) across the road from Buddies, puts on a more traditional Gringo breakfast. I've never eaten there, but reports are good.

I can only speak for myself here and let me touch on two things.
First a story. On my third trip down to the DR I made the mistake of not bringing my own protection with me. I didn’t think much of it as I went to the pharmacy in town in Costambar, talked to the guy behind the window at the pharmacy and bought some rubbers he recommended to me. On my first liason with these new rubbers, I was finishing up doggie style with my chica and the sensation went from very nice to "WOW, this feels good". Shot my load soon after and when I pulled out to take off the spent rubber, nothing is there but a rubber ring at the base of junior (Now you know why I strongly recommend bringing your own latex from home). Out of my mouth came the immortal words: “OH CRAP!!!” She looks at me, eyes as big as half dollars and in a mild panic asking me if I "leche" in her (Oh yeah). There I am sitting with a small "rubber band" on junior muttering a constant stream of “Lo sientos” in disbelief. I quickly try to size up the situation. My chica is obviously of prime childbearing age and I’m not shooting blanks, and although she is tested for STD's, she does engage in risky behavior (as do I). I don’t want any “Little Ponderosa’s” running around the DR, I already had my kids. I also didn’t sign up to get aids or any other STD’s either. Long story short, I got tested for STD’s every 3 months for a year (all tests negative) and I saw the chica on my next trip with no belly bump (thank you), but with a lot of worry and sweat during the process.
Second a predicament. Fast forward and I now have a novia in the DR. She quit the business several months ago (I must say no-one really ever knows for sure if they totally quit the biz, money is hard to come by and I really couldn’t blame her) and she got a health certificate since to ease my mind. I will be making a trip down in a couple months just to be with her, but close to BBs in case things blow up. The condom question has already come up. For some stupid reason I understand how sex without condom is a way for her to show her man she loves him and he is not a client. Although I went through the story above, I don’t know how I am going to handle it. I have always touted the refrain “no glove, no love”, but I must admit I am torn. I think I will push for a condom, but I am weak. Understanding the culture here is a double edged sword. My novia would not necessarily have a problem having my kid and I understand this.
Moral of this for me, is that it is complicated. I have a harder time preaching use of latex. I really do have a problem with the normal punter not using protection, but I understand the exceptions.

Having been in this same situation, I can tell you its murder on the nerves.
First trip to BB a few years ago and had US-quality condoms break TWICE
with two different girls. (I was uh, enthusiastic on my first visit).
Damn, I don't want those kinds of problems again.
In case of such accidents, I researched and purchased the "Plan B" to take with me, so I can have some peace of mind if it happens again.
Only about $20 US per normal dose.
Just something to keep in mind.

On Thursday I sent a reservation-request to BB for the period of 24 June - leaving on 4 July. The answer was quick: yes, we have rooms available. Within 6 hours I send them my credit-card details to secure the reservation. The reply was: Sorry - we are fully booked.
Obviously their business is good. They even did not bother to advise when they have alternatively rooms available.
Anyhow - back to my old mongers paradise Rio or the north of Brazil I guess.

Having been in this same situation, I can tell you its murder on the nerves.
First trip to BB a few years ago and had US-quality condoms break TWICE
with two different girls. (I was uh, enthusiastic on my first visit).
Damn, I don't want those kinds of problems again.
In case of such accidents, I researched and purchased the "Plan B" to take with me, so I can have some peace of mind if it happens again.

Been to POP many times over the last 15 years and this trip noticed a change in behavior.
When dealing with the ladies working or not I usually get pretty friendly—give ‘em a hug, kiss on the hand, or a peck on the cheek. They usually like it smile and hug back. This trip was different. Worse then no response—they backed off!

A bus ride from Santo Domingo to Sosua will cost you 250 pesos which is round about 6 dollars and will take you round about 5 hours depending on how heavy traffic is in Santo Domingo and Santiago. Sometimes on Metro they show movies and their buses seem to have nicer interior.
Major difference is that the Caribe tours bus will drop you off in Los charamics and from there you will have to take a motochonco or a taxi to reach Sosua. The metro bus will drop you off right in the center of Sosua right next to the gas station (la bomba) so new garden hotel, casa valeria, europa... are all in walking distance.

I know this thread has been pretty much hijacked as the BB's thread, but, I thought I'd ask a non-BBs related question: I've been to both Cristal's and Classico's and it seems to me there is better quality at Cristal's. Is it just me? Granted, I went to Cristal's on a Friday and Classico's on a Wednesday, but, it just seemed that given the high numbers of girls both nights, there would have been a better choice at both. It seemed like the only 8s and above were normal girls with their novios or esposos. I'd like to hear other opinions of the variance of quality chicas at the two clubs.

There are lots of places in POP besides Blackbeards. Blackbeards is OK, and some people are very happy with it, but I was not impressed with the selection of chicas there. Each to his own. There are the upmarket places I've never been to, which might be great for some guys here, at least it's on topic if they are in POP. There are other good monger hotels like Mustang Ranch and Harbor View from where you can pick out from Cristals and the many small bars and independents.
About light skinned girls, I would go to Santo Domingo instead. Or Santiago. But Santo Domingo is probably easier.

I personally don't see any contradiction. You just have to choose according to your tastes.
The information regarding weather is pretty accurate. Cooler weather in fall/winter/early spring is good, but do bring an umbrella.
I've been in October, January, Feb, April, and recommend the cooler seasons. - but carry an umbrella. Did I mention an umbrella? This is tropical downpour country. The streets can flood.
Check out your intended accomodations to check their seasonal prices.
I would not advise the Christmas/New Year period, but the rest is fine.

In all sincerity I suggest you take some time to look at the various threads and posts to get a feel for each area and its environment.
Sosua is probably the "Capitol" of such activity on the north coast. Because of the tourist-town aspect, girls looking to make a buck are everywhere, with a wide spectrum of girls, ugly to gorgeous, sweet to hard-core hooker, honest to thief.
Don't look to the cops, they are more corrupt than the hookers.
Classicos disco and Passions massage parlor are hubs of activity.
If you have some experienced guys to hang out with, you are okay, but you are essentially "on your own" in that you have no one to take your complaint to. If you are new to that scene, definitely take "wingmen".
Definitely "Buyer Beware". Once you are more familiar, some love it.

I have stayed at MRR, when I visited POP, The security is superb. Sometimes you feel like, your in prison. LOL. No its beautiful and clean, the downfall is Mrr caters to mostly groups, If you go with a group of guys, then you will have a blast, If you go solo, then you feel real lonely, Its not like BB, where guys and girls hangout, most of the time, people very rarely interact with each other. You go to Crystals, pick your chica, then you have fun". I rarely saw other people there. But you feel real safe, and the place is kept up immaculent, extremely clean. I am returning there at the end of July, but will venture over to BB, for the bikini contest at the end of July. If you are on a budget, then Mrr is your best bet, for 180 its all inclusive, food, lodging, chica is also included'so you just relax and everythings taken care of. I loved that aspect of Mrr, its a 'One stop shop'. LOL The staff is also inbounds, if they agree, but you can't bugg them, I banged Theressa the bartender with the owners blessing, he helped set it up. I have stayed at MRR, when I visited POP, The security is superb. Sometimes you feel like, your in prison. LOL. No its beautiful and clean, the downfall is Mrr caters to mostly groups, If you go with a group of guys, then you will have a blast, If you go solo, then you feel real lonely, Its not like BB, where guys and girls hangout, most of the time, people very rarely interact with each other. You go to Crystals, pick your chica, then you have fun". I rarely saw other people there. But you feel real safe, and the place is kept up immaculent, extremely clean. I am returning there at the end of July, but will venture over to BB, for the bikini contest at the end of July. If you are on a budget, then Mrr is your best bet, for 180 its all inclusive, food, lodging, chica is also included'so you just relax and everythings taken care of. I loved that aspect of Mrr, its a 'One stop shop'. Just got back from a 5 night stay at the Ranch and must say I truly enjoyed myself. I initially planned on going solo, but through this wonderful site and paying for a membership I was able to meet a fellow ISG monger and he booked a trip and we met up there.We ended up meeting a group of other guys which made the trip that much more memorable. I honestly do not know if the trip would have been as memorable had I just did my entire trip solo as I originally planned. I felt secure at all times, and the place was clean and the staff super friendly.
Theressa the bartender was definitely in play, but she quoted me an outrageous price because as she said she is no "puta", so I politely declined and she was okay with that. This is my first trip back to the DR since Billy sold Field of Dreams to Crystals, which they turned into the Mustang Ranch. I'm staying at Billy's new place (Harbor View Condos), and since I've only seen sporadic reports about it on this site I thought I'd post some entries over the coming week.
This place seems ideally suited to those who enjoy Puerto Plata's "fish in a barrel" chica hunting, or to mongers who may have some experience in other countries, but who want to get their feet wet in the DR. Billy is a great guide, as many here will attest. Yesterday Billy gave me and a newbie the grand tour of this part of the north coast. From Puerto Plata to Sosua to Cabarete and back, checking out well-known places like Crystals in POP and Classico's in Sosua. We also stopped in to a couple of the local Dominican bars that Billy knows, getting the rundown on how those places work (pretty much the same as the tourist P4P spots, with a higher skank/hottie ratio from what I could see, but no way are the Dominicanos paying tourist prices for working girls at these places.)
After an excellent steak dinner in Sosua, our second-to-last stop was Passions, where I selected item #2 from their monger-menu and went in the back with a very pretty girl named Milagra. Since this post is about the condos, I'll describe them. The building is on a small hill overlooking Puerto Plata, its kind of a pinkish color. The rooms are apartments with a kitchen, one or more bedrooms, and a living room area. Most of them are owned by someone (hence 'condo') who then rents it out through Billy when someone like me shows up. The pool and hot-tub are basic, as is the bar and cooking area, but the food is great and the place is very comfortable. The wireless access is also very good, I'm writing this in my second-floor room, and I have not had any problem with the connection.
I'll post some more as my week here progresses.

Back on Tuesday I had made an appointment with a girl for Thursday night around 7. I'd been with her before and I'd had a great time, but I should have known better than to make plans with a chica that far into the future. She didn't show up, and I couldn't reach her by phone. This being Puerto Plata, by 8:30 I'd been introduced to a tall, slender black girl named Alex-something (Alexis? Alexandra? Don't recall). The hour we spent hanging out there gave me a chance to get to know her. I'm one of those idiots who needs to establish some kind of rapport with a chica in order to really enjoy spending a night with her. As with all DR chicas, she was pretty hardcore but extremely affectionate as well.

Go to Sosua. Everything you need for a good time is close by and walking distance. You can do it on a budget as well, I do each trip. Allow yourself so many dollars each day and you'll be fine but understand the amount of fun is directly proportional to the amount you spend. Don't be afraid to bargain and walk away if you have to, there's always another opportunity around the corner. New Garden is a great place to stay as far as meeting guys to hang with who are looking for similar experiences, especially for your first trip. A 5 day trip to Sosua should be perfect because it is a small place and you will see the same faces after awhile. Puerto Plata is too spread out and time consuming to find action. I just came back from my 1st visit to Blackbeards, June 25 - June29. It was awesome, and to make the situation even better was that my wife joined me, we are a team. I know this is primarily a single guys website but I wanted to share a small report with you guys.
I was a little nervous about bringing my wife to a place where the clientele is mostly single men. I found that my knowledge of Spanish proved invaluable. Because I speak some Spanish, and this is just me, I was able to talk to girls in Puerto Plata. In fact, I went to one's house, did my business, then joined the family for lunch. Everyone appeared comfortable, although my Spanish was better understood by some more than others. During lunch, I spoke Spanish to the cousin from the U.S. who spoke English. He would then "translate" my Spanish to the others. I found it interesting.

I just came back from my 1st visit to Blackbeards, June 25 - June29. It was awesome, and to make the situation even better was that my wife joined me, we are a team. I know this is primarily a single guys website but I wanted to share a small report with you guys.
I was a little nervous about bringing my wife to a place where the clientele is mostly single men. But boy I was totally wrong, all of the people I met at BB’s were awesome, they respected me and my wife. They thought it was awesome that a woman could go to a pussy palace with her man. I felt like the MAN. A day later we heard that there was another couple that had recently arrived. And much to our surprise they were another young good looking couple looking for the same type of fun we were, beautiful chicas.
Each day my wife became more and more comfortable not only with the girls but with every one. All the people we met were class “A” people, even the single guys who I would like to thank for being totally respectful and not the slightest bit judgmental.
We gave the girls a whole bunch of temp. tattoos they seemed to like that. Mostly all the girls were super friendly and not the slightest bit pushy. A couple tried to overcharge at first but a quick talk with Charo straightened that right out and no problems after that. We want to give a special thanks to Charo for her recommendations of chicas. We told her what we wanted and she hooked us up big time we were most satisfied. A couple of the girls were total freaks and turned us both out. Most of you probably could already guess who they would be if you are a regular.
The food was very good with a lot of flavors, unlike here in the states and very reasonable, the wait staff was also very good. Special thanks also to Jose and Paco, what ever we needed they responded right away. I needed a Orange phone card to charge my cell It was delivered in 10 minutes right to the hotel.
The wife was even a judge in the awesome bikini contest, which was won by Johanny, but was so close the last three standing Ivel, Maria, and Johanny should have all won, but only one could win. There also were girls that obviously didn’t want to be in the contest, beautiful but uninterested.
I would absolutely recommend Blackbeards to anyone (Even couples) that is looking for a slow fuckfest, go at your own pace. I know a lot of guys like the Sousa experience but BB’s was the pace that we were looking for and we plan on returning again soon.

But from what I understand, you DO need to know a fair amount of Spanish to navigate effectively in Sousua, correct?I've been in Sosua for 4 days and I agree with the members on the board that you can get away with little or no knowledge of Spanish and still be successful in your hunt. However, with that being said, I'm not coming back until I can say more than 'Si', 'Gracias' and 'Hola'.
Most of the chicas here are great and they try very hard to understand what you are saying, but it can get a little frustrating and it's a constant conversation stopper. To get the real gems, at least an intermediate knowledge in Spanish is a must IMHO.
On my last night I wanted to see some local spots. Billy and I met another expat and they took me to a couple of places in POP. One reminded me of the small-town brothels in Colombia back in the 1970s. You walk into what looks at first like an alley, but it was actually an open space with a couple of trees in it, and in the back was a disco with an honest-to-god disco ball in it. There were tables and chairs and a bar inside, but the music was so loud we decided to sit outside.
A woman greeted us and another took our order (rum and cokes, a beer), and the third helped us pull the table over to a spot on the small patio where we could sit comfortably. The first woman who greeted us, slender with some pounds in the middle and a bit past her use-by date, was acting like the manager, and the two younger gorditas appeared to be the waitresses. Through the door into the disco I could see a couple of guys sitting at a table looking toward the front of the room at something that I couldn't see at the angle where I was sitting. There were pink and yellow lights, plus that disco ball was sending bright flashes around the room, so after a few minutes I got up to look inside to see what the girls looked like, but I must have chosen the wrong moment because I didn't see any girls in there.
The rooms for the clients were outside past the disco. There was a tiny courtyard, and on the left I could see a wood structure with blue-painted walls and white doors that I would have had to duck a bit to get through. The rooms couldn't have been more than 8 feet long. On the right side of the courtyard were additional rooms, but from where I was I couldn't see them clearly.
Billy suggested I ask for a tour. I looked over at the older woman and asked if I could see the rooms. She was probably not much older than 30, but I thought of her as 'older' since the two stocky girls were clearly in their early 20's. When I asked her to show me the rooms, she jumped up all excited and ran and got some keys. It looked like they were going to have a slow night, there were only a couple of Dominican guys around, although it was a bit early.
Billy and the other expat were grinning at me as the woman came back with the keys. She tugged on my arm and I followed her into the courtyard, and she steered me to the rooms on the right. These rooms were in a cinder block structure and apparently she was going to show me the 'nice' rooms.
She unlocked the door, then quickly darted inside to close an inner door to a tiny area that I barely caught a glimpse of. It had a sink and some mops and a bucket, but she got the door closed before I could tell if it was supposed to be some kind of dual-use closet/bathroom or what. The room itself was barely big enough for the queen sized bed that was wedged into it. The bed had an ancient bedspread on it, a sag in the middle, and no pillows. As functional as it gets. The woman came back, but now with a gleam in her eye, and it dawned on me why those two damn expats were grinning so wide – these were the girls! I'd assumed they were the staff. That's why no girls were in the disco, all three of them were outside waiting on us hand-and-foot. And now this woman showing me the room had thrown her arms around me and has gotten me into lip-lock, and then she starts trying to judo me onto the bed.
I was caught by surprise, I said "no, no, I only wanted to see the rooms! " and she got a crestfallen look on her face and said something about how if she's too ugly for me, the other girls are probably prettier. And suddenly I felt guilty. I apologized and said I wasn't ready yet, I was just curious about the rooms, and no she's not too ugly, she's very pretty. She called me a mentiroso (liar) but I got a smile and another kiss, then she pulled the door closed and I followed her back to the tables.
I knew that the others had another place in mind and I wanted to go check that out before deciding what to do. The truth is, her excitement had gotten me aroused, I've slept with much worse than that with absolutely zero passion or excitement (a condition referred to as 'marriage') so I decided that if the other place turned out to be a dud, I could always come back here later. It would have only set me back 500 pesos.
As we were leaving I slipped 50 pesos into her hand and said "gracias pa'la besita, " and I got another one that almost made me stay.

Following that road up a few blocks, there are streets that are one-way going into and out of the central part of Puerto Plata. I can't remember which street it is but its only a few blocks up from the Malecon, there's a place in there called "Yellow Beard's". I don't know which came first, them or BlackBeard's over in Costumbar, but there is no confusing the two. YellowBeard's is a local place. It's on a one-way street that leads out onto that road that's under construction (and less than a block away from it), but by car you have to find the back-streets way in.
It looks like a house. There were several Dominican men on the small front porch, and I caught a glimpse of at least one chica hanging out there also before the city power went out for the umpteenth time that week and everything went dark.
A light came on inside, by battery or generator I couldn't tell, and we made our way up the steps. We exchanged greetings with the guys on the porch, and stepped into a nice room with a bar and pool table, a kitchen area on the far left, and next to that a curtain (a sheet) over a doorway that led to the back rooms.
The woman behind the bar was cheerfully plump and had a great personality. She was calling for the girls to come in, "come meet our guests", and one by one several really nice looking chicas came in and sat quietly at the bar next to us. They were not aggressive at all, not like they are in the gringo hangouts, and it was hard to get a conversation going with them.
Sometimes the girls have to check you out for a while before they feel comfortable with you. That's part of the reason they like to have 'regulars', and why guys they know get a break on the prices. So I talked with the woman behind the bar, and with the other two guys whom the girls knew, and just relaxed to see what would happen.
A woman named 'Judy' came in, Billy knew her, and she introduced herself with a smile and a handshake and I was conversing with her right away. She was another who was a bit past her use-by date, but she had mostly kept her figure. She was only 29, but had been doing this for a lot of years, and puta years add up more quickly than normal. Nevertheless, soon I was dancing with her and she was responding to my touches and maintaining contact with me, so she's the one I ended up with. I suggested going into the back at first, but on my last night in the DR, when she suggested a TLN over at Billy's place, I decided to go for it. 2000 pesos.
In bed she was not assertive, but she was very responsive, a trait that is much more common in third-world women in general than the aggressiveness that most gringos experience at the tourist bars. The man is "The Man" and women from Latin cultures can get pretty frustrated when we don't take the initiative and lead her throughout the dance.
She slept snuggled up to me all night, and I awoke with my mind trying to figure out how to miss my flight so that I could squeeze a few more days out of this trip.
I gave her a nice tip, then she caught a motoconcho back to her place, then when Billy took me to the airport I tipped him plus gave him some gas money for dragging me all over the North Coast for the past week. I don't know when I'll be back, I have a couple of trips to elsewhere planned this year, but the Puerto Plata area could easily become a home-away-from home for me, there is a lot going on in that town outside the normal tourist traps.
Here is a bit of additional info:
The ATM's here work, and give you a very good exchange rate, but you can only get 10, 000 pesos a day out of them. If you pay cash for things, you can avoid a lot of taxes. Some hotels tack on 20% or more to bills paid by credit card.
You can rent a room at Mustang Ranch for something like $50 a night, and bring your own girls in. If you do it that way, you would be paying a premium for the food and booze (compared to their package deal), although I think you still get a break on the salida for Cristals girls if you decide to use them. If I was there for a long weekend I'd definitely take the package deal, I've had a lot of great experiences with the Cristals hotties on my previous trips, although I didn't go there on this trip. But if you already have the numbers of some favorite amigas in the area and just need a room, the Mustang Ranch premises are very nice, as good as any of the other resort-type places in the area.
For some reason small bills and coins are scarce. The banks just don't seem to have enough of them for all the small businesses in the area that need to be able to make change for their customers. Even at the grocery, I bought some stuff and my change should have been something like 57 pesos, and they had 50-peso notes but not enough coins to make the remaining 7 pesos. So they gave me a piece of hard candy instead, which looked like it came out of a dish by the register. So if you're the kind of person who has to have everything perfect down to the last penny, be mentally prepared for a third-world environment in which people make do the best they can with what's available to them.

I think that everyone would agree that for a first trip, just a few days,
no DR experience and no Spanish, BlackBeards is just the ticket.
Talk to other guests, take a few short trips into Puerto Plata or even Sosua,
and you'll be better prepared to venture out on another trip.

You will learn so much from the other more experienced guests that you will meet there. Many of them will invite you to tag along for trips to Sosua other discos etc. When you leave you will be a different person!

I don't see why you couldn't have a threesome at BB. Just make sure that the two chicks you take have good chemistry with each other as my buddy tried a threesome(not at Blackbeards) and it resulted in a lot of unattended problems. AI are NOT girl friendly for obvious reasons.

Sosua Bay Hotel is not girl friendly but you can rent a room at Rocky's for cheap if you want to take a girl there or Calpyso Hotel also rents rooms by the hour. Both these places are very basic to say the least, ie: no A/C and not really conducive to a really good experience. The girls seem to like staying LT with you if you have a nice hotel with A/C and TV and shower, at least that's what I've found. Why don't you stay at a hotel like New Garden instead, you will end up spending less and having more fun.

You should have no problem with a 3-some. At BB its called a "Happy Hour".

The Bikini Contest starts around 4:30 if memory serves correct and last around two hours, more or less. If it rains they rearrange the tables in the restaurant area and hold the festivities there. Last I heard there was a cover charge for those not staying in the hotel. Nothing major, but be aware of this.
The girls are allowed to go "off campus" from BBs as they are independent contractors and most of the girls in the contest as well as quite a few hanging around on the sidelines are available. There are cabana's close by for short term stays on the main road on the way to Ocean World and all the girls know them. Just make sure to secure the price before leaving campus because the pre-negotiated price technically applies only to those staying at BBs. The all-inclusives don't permit "guests" as a rule.
(Don't want to shock the family trade).
If you need a getaway, right across the road from Playa Dorada is the
"Cristal Mustang Ranch" (CMR). No girls on site, but rooms are $50 and they will take you to the club to pick one.
If you like, get a room for overnight, get a girl, maybe their "all inclusive special" (up to you).
Also, there are cabanas about 6 miles away, on the other side of Costambar (a cabbie can take you). Pick up a girl at BB or wherever, and the cabbie can take you where you need to go.
You might find some local girls in the Playa Dorada disco "Mangu" (is it still open?).
But again the problem is the no guest rule. For that CMR might be the solution.
Use the first trip to look around by day, to check it all out.
Try calling a local, Leonel, (local number is 829 702 0874).
He was highly recommeded as a guide who can also fix you up with a date.
Try to get an all-day rate from a local cabbie.

If you do not include flight and hotel and have $1000 USD (United States Dollars) for everything else, it will depend on your drinking and libido. 1000 Euros goes alot further. I tend to spend about as much in a week on food and drinks as I do on my hotel bill. The chica's are a set rate of 1300RD pesos (about $38-40 USD) for ST (1-2+ hours), and 2500RD pesos (about $75 USD) for TLN (evening to morning- all night, at least two sexual liasons). If you are going to Barba Negra (BBs) your best place to exchange money is at Jenny's market soon after you enter the gate to Costambar on th right side. I have only exchanged USD there and others may comment if they exchange Euros. I am pretty sure Euros can be exchanged at a small cambio (money exchange house) on the right side of the same road as you enter Costambar just past all the shops and Phamacy. It has a small sign and you go through a gate and down some steps to get there. The Airport is probably the worst place to get money exchange as they have the worst rates. The US Dollar is king in the Dominican, but the Euro is well accepted, especially in Sosua (a popular city on the other side of Puerto Plata). I have never had to use an ATM in the Dominican, but I have been told the closest one in Costambar is on the main road near the Texico gas station. Others can comment better than I.

Stayed at the Allegro Playa Dorada a few years ago. Place was okay, not fancy by any means. At that time Mangu and Crazy Moon disco were happening. Pulled girls(or they pulled me!) out of both places and ended up in the cabanas across town past Costambar. It's abit of a process with taxi required but if you're set on staying at Playa Dorada this is one option. Cristal's is not that far away and any cabbie should know where it is. Girls are way more expensive there as compared to grabbing something out of a club. Now I hear Mangu is closed. At that time it was a happening place with the younger crowd but I had more success at Crazy Moon. It was smaller, cozier, not as loud. Just grab a seat at the bar and the girls will strut their stuff. Not alot of selection but decent. Anyone else been there lately? Curious to know if it's still going. Have some good memories as everything started there for me. Located on second floor of Paradise Beach Club.

Generic Cialis is available in any pharmacy, by the name La Pela. Its very inexpensive. Your best bet on the cigars is the US Customs website. I checked and the personal exemption is $800 of merchanise, as long as you declare it on the form. So, if you pay 800 for 8 cigars,...? or 100 cigars, as long as they are for your personal use and they are declared.
Of course, Cuban products are prohibited, but no problem - regardless of what anyone says, they are NOT selling you Cuban cigars in the DR.

I need some help. I speak a little spanish and is going to be in PP on Aug 21st for a week but my wingman who speaks spanish got hurt at his job. So i am looking for a hotel near the action. All i as is that its clean with a/c and an a safe i will be fine. I read about the Mustang Ranch Resort but is it girl-friendly and what is it near. I could stay at BB but i am reading bad thinks about it. Hope someone can help me.Mustang Ranch is a couple of miles out of PP, halfway to the airport. It is across the road from Playa Dorada tourist complex, and about 6 miles from Sosua. Girl friendly? The owner also owns Cristals a club/cathouse in PP. You can bring your own in or they will provide one for about $100.
If you are new and don't speak Spanish, you should seriously consider BlackBeards. No one on this site will argue that for new DR mongers, it is the perfect introduction.
Don't know what you've read so negative about it.
Then try Sosua or MRR on the next trip to check out all sides. I have been to the Sosua scene, and I prefer BB cause I'm so damned lazy I'd rather spend my time screwing than prowling the streets for cheaper girls. And I speak excellent Spanish.

I have no problem with the hunt because you can find a diamond in the rough sometimes and look at the local who are just gorgeous. I just like to walk around but only up and down the main strip or beach. So i probably take you advise and stay at BB and gadder info for my next trip around xmas.

I bought the 36 hour cialis, 4 pack, for around 1700 pesos, just about all the pharmacies in the Dominican Republic, sell Viagra, Cialis, and others. The la pela costs about 50 pesos, but they gave me a headache. The 36 hour cialis is pricey, but it never gives me headache or makes my face flush red, after drinking beers. And of course no prescription necessary.

Nothing at the Coral Marian, the beach is kind of private, with the iberostar next door. You can take a taxi to crystals near the malecon in puerto plata, it is safe, no one will bother you. You can also take a taxi five minutes to playa dorado complex, which has close to 10 hotels, 2 discos and bars. I have been to Mangu's disco in playa dorado, definitely working girls there, though a little pricey. The other disco there, crazy horse or something I don't know. You can also take a taxi to sosua, about 30 minutes away. Lots of putas in Sosua even in the daytime, just walk around or go to passions massage for something.

ThanksIt depends on your priorities. If the women are the primary reason you're going, then definitely BlackBeards or Mustang Ranch would be better in that regard. You can probably discern the difference between the two by checking the threads and reports.
If you are committed to your current reservations, keep in mind that Cristals' chief source of customers are the all-inclusive guests sneaking out for a "quickie". You can get a cab driver to take you to the Cristals club/cathouse in PP. Expect to pay about $100 for a Short Time.
A few miles further west in Costambar, you can also visit BlackBeards for a few hours or spend the day. I believe an "hourly" room is available. Action and selection are slowest early in the day and early in the week, so keep that in mind. Its easy to form false impressions from a quick look at the wrong time. Not sure what the room charge would be, expect to pay about 1500 pesos ($45) for a Short Time there.

The owner, Billy Lane, has been in the DR since '92 and he can show you around, fix you up with a date, or show you where you can find your own. In Puerto Plata, between the city and Costambar.

There is a definite difference of experience between "the controlled environment" you talk about at BBs and I would assume MRR and working with the freelancers in Sosua.
Negotiating things up front is much more important in Sosua, although I do recommend making expectations clear even in controlled environs for anything outside the normal oral and FS. In the controlled environment venues, the girls answer to someone, whether that is the owner of Cristals/MRR or Charo, the mamma-son at BBs. The chica's do not want have a client complain to their "boss" about lack of service. There is a bit of a built in mechanism to insure some level of quality control, or at the minimum, to register a complaint.
I Sosua, the main impitus for quality control is that the chica wants to pull more money from you (ie. more than one encounter). Keeping you happy on your first liason increases here odds you will want to repeat, thus more money in her pocket (cha-ching). I do not care where you monger, you are an ATM cash machine to these chicas. Having Spanish speaking ability and "game" with the freelancers can be very rewarding (but I will tell you the same can be said about the contolled environment venues).
The sheer number and variety fo chicas available in Sosua on any given night can easily put the controlled environments to shame, as well as the ability for Sosua to be party central if that is what you are in to.
I am glad you are giving things another chance, but the important thing is to each his own. Find your level of punting and explore and have fun with it. Everybody's definition of fun is different, and everyone's expectations are different. Find yours and enjoy.

I wasn't going to post this, but there is alot of conflict in the Photo Gallery about BB's versus the rest of the PP scene, and it seemed to make sense to try and share some of my limited knowledge regarding the goings on in PP.
First of all, I am in PP alot, and I mean alot, so I'm not some first time poster who's just returned from my first trip and think I know it all. Having said that, let me say that although I don't personally care for the BB's environment other than to stop in for a couple of drinks and something to eat on occasion, I'm not posting to criticize those who do enjoy the environment. As they say, to each his own.
Most people know about the "established" monger locations of PP, i.e., BB's, MRR, Crystals, and the former Frank's, which is nothing but a shithole now, IMHO. And, to be quite honest, these are perfect places to go for the guy who is traveling to the North Coast for, say, anywhere from 3-5 days, and even up to 2 weeks. After all, who wants to spend the time and money traveling there for such a short duration and have any portion of that time and money spent on hunting down some punani when you could have it served up to you on a silver platter? However, there is some good pussy to be had in PP, if you have the time.
I travel to PP often, and for stays of up to a month, so this gives me the opportunity to get around quite a bit and engage in the normal routine of a daily life that is required when spending so much time in a particular location. I have to shop for food, which is infrequent; I eat out, which is often; I have to pay bills, electricity, phone, etc., and I hang out at a lot of the local hang-out spots with the locals. So, doing the typical, mundane types of things is what brings me into contact with a lot of the local chicas who are not your normal run of the mill putas. A few examples:
I was once eating at a restaurant on the malecon and began talking to one of the waitresses who I thought was fine. I was spitting my best game and although, initially, she accused me of being a tiguere, my local friends convinced her I wasn’t. Before the night ended, we were standing behind the restaurant having a kiss. We ended up spending a few nights together after that and would probably have spent many more were it not for her greed.
On another occasion, I decided to stop in at a local salon on Avenida Colon for a manicure and thought the manicurist was cute. Just for the hell of it I asked her for her phone number and I’ll be damned if she didn’t give it to me. Unfortunately, I decided not to utilize it as I realized that she lived pretty close to where I stayed, and thought it would be better not to cause myself any undue drama if……well, let’s just say I don’t think it’s smart to shit in your own backyard.
And, finally, my brother recently decided to move to PP for several months. We stopped in at the Claro/Codetel office on 27 de Febrero so that he could have the SIM card changed in his phone. Being the extremely impatient guy that he is, my brother started to complain about how long it was taking, and exchanged a few words with the woman behind the counter. In an effort to invoke the old adage that “you can catch more flies with honey than you can with vinegar” and, hopefully, teach him a lesson about the importance of exercising patience in the DR, I decided to play a little move that I’ll do on occasion with the chicas. When the woman brought my brother the receipt to show him what it would cost for having changed the SIM card, I grabbed the receipt, looked it over, and said there was a problem. The chica paused for a second and asked what the problem was. I said that it was missing her phone number. She asked “Por Que”?, and I said “Por Que no”? In all honesty, I didn’t expect her to give me her number, but was simply trying to calm the tension that was building between her and my brother. My brother gave her the money he owed and she walked away. She returned, gave my brother his change, and handed me her name and number. Anyhow, just a few examples.
So, the idea that there are “other places” to go in PP to pick up women is a wasted one. Outside of the established places mentioned, there really are no “other places”, per se. It’s all about getting out and being about. But, as I’ve said, this probably doesn’t work well into the schedule of the monger who is there for a short trip. For those who do have a bit more time, I would strongly encourage it. I’ve met many chicas who weren’t reluctant to let me know that they don’t like Dominican guys because, in the words of the chicas, they’re “lazy and they cheat”. Be sure to tell the chicas you’re not lazy. LOL. What you’ll also find, too, is that these chicas are certainly not being fucked on a nightly basis, which works for me. I’ve always worried, in some of the other places, whether or not I was the one who fucked her that day, or simply one of many. Hope this helps.

Yes, I agree. If you make regular trips to the area and learn some Spanish, it is inevitable that you will meet plenty of attractive women with whom you can cultivate relationships. Through them you will meet more people, and before you know it, you will have a network of chicas.
I started out as a BB monger a few years ago, but am now retired in favor of a monogamous relationship with a young beauty I met in a restaurant where she had come in to speak to the waitress who was her sister. Once I was in a supermarket and the checkout girl three checkouts over from where I was buying groceries was smiling at me and making eyes so much that I had to get her phone number and see her later.
This does not happen in the United States, but it is an everyday occurrence in the DR.
To me this kind of thing is much more pleasurable than fishing in stocked ponds, but if you are coming for just the occasional visit or for the first time, then the stocked ponds mentioned above are exactly what you need and want.
To sum up, I started out mongering because I wanted sex with the kind of attractive younger women I could not get for free, but when I realized that even a middle aged schlub like me could get a young beauty for a relationship quite easily in the DR my focus gradually changed away from mongering.

I haven't been there in close to a couple of years and my understanding is that it was taken over by some Dominican(s) some time back, and they've just run it into the ground, ripping customers off, etc. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone at this point, unless there've been some changes, and I highly doubt that.

No situation is perfect, but a relationship with a Dominican woman may be better than what you can find at home.
But as I have said before, if you are just casually visiting Puerto Plata you might just as well fish in the stocked ponds, because the girls you meet there won't really be much different from the girls you meet working as waitresses and shop assistants anyway and they will probably give you less grief in the long run.

As you've noted, of course not, though I am not quite in the "old geezer" category yet. Getting close, though.
I guess my point (and it's one I've tried to make to the chicas I've spent some considerable time with) is that if a chica wants, hopes, expects me to take care of her in a way beyond what a casual relationship would entitle her to, then she needs to reciprocate. If all she's going to do is lay down and spread her legs for me and, in return, expect compensation, hell, I can get that anywhere.
You've mentioned that you are presently in a monogamous relationship. I'm assuming that you're getting more out of that relationship than just sex. I've been with putas whom I've met on a given night who, after fucking me, got up and washed the dishes, or cleaned the house, or something, and all they've received is compensation for the fuck. On the other hand, I know some guys who are in relationships with DR women who take care of the guys real well. I just have an issue with a woman who doesn't mind asking me for $300 for whatever she needs, but won't ask for $30 to go to the store and buy some groceries to cook me dinner or breakfast. That is why I, too, continue to stay in the mongering game.
In all fairness to the DR women, I have been to a number of places throughout the world (just returned from Rio yesterday morning) and have found pretty much the same. There are what appears to be a handful of women whereever you go who would make good wives/girlfriends. But, the vast majority of them are just after the dollar every chance they get.

So my question is: what do you folks suggest I do for hotel and mongering the first 2 nights?

Ms. Get your butt over to sosua you will have a blast. Hotels are cheap and plenty of girls and things to do. We stay in sosua and then take road trips to other places (I just think sosua is a better home base) why be stuck in BB for your trip. From what I have read on isg its something to see for the day (swimsuit the contest) and maybe stay a night and enjoygirls but with the homework (and 1 trip) I think for the money sosua is the best value.

If you arrive early, you can still get a bus to Puerto Plata, and a taxi to accomodations in Puerto Plata.
If you arrive late, you have to spend at least the first night in Santiago.

I understand the question. I bailed out of my first TLN (todo la noche - an all nighter) because I did not speak Spanish, and I wondered what I had in common with a twenty-something year old from a different country. I then went on to learn some Spanish because I saw I could enjoy these girls more if I communicated with them (I am somewhere in the intermediate stage, verbs still kill me) and I was amazed how much I enjoyed the company of the right lady. You are not going to hit it off with every chica the same, just as you would not in your home country.
When my wife was alive I never spent much time discussing the Dow Jones anyway, so this is not a deal breaker for me, and really, for me it is much more about the company and compassion these chicas have for me. I am astonished how I can connect with the right twenty something with 2 kids, and how the chica has had to mature far more quickly than many of the same aged girls in my country. I have had some really in depth life discussions with these chicas and the connection pays dividends. And anyway, like I said in a post long time ago, even if half of what we talk about is BS, who cares??? It is a date and my fantasy. Why not enjoy it??

Agreed. Sosua is the place to be. It's a great home base once you get a feel for how things work. Everybody has to get that first trip under their belt and after that you're off to the races. FunInTheSun

Although I appreciate the props, I can't lay claim to having any vast wealth of knowledge. In spite of the fact that I've been fortunate enough to have spent alot of time and have had many experiences in PP I, like you, realized early on that there were some nice "dividends" to be realized if I was willing to invest some time first.
I'm returning to PP tomorrow so maybe I'll post some stuff from time to time while there.

A couple questions. I just booked a single deluxe room at Blackbeard's for the week in November. There are a few discrepencies in the price though and I figured who better to ask than you guys? ! Well the website says the room is $60/night and it turns out it's $70/night. Keep in mind I'm staying a week so it makes a difference. Also, it says that they'll pick you up from the airport for $35-40 on their website, but they sent me something that it'd be $45. Now I don't mind paying a little more. But you guys know more than anyone. Once they start nickel and diming you, it's gonna start to add up! Just wanna be sure that they aren't taking me for a ride. Thanks in advance fellas. Also, does anyone know how to sign up for the newsletter? I looked all over their site and don't see it anywhere. Do I just email them?

Well, I did not stay at BB's, but around the corner. As far as the private taxi, I took one last November from the airport to Costambar, and I paid US$45 if I remember correctly. It certainly was not less than US$40.

The website probably needs updating.
On the taxi, you may be able to do better by getting your own cab at the airport. Just tell them you want to go to Costambar.
Once you get on the road, or inside the Costambar gate, tell them you want to go to Barba Negra (BlackBeard).
You may be able to get one for less or may be able to split the fare with someone. The cabs in Costambar run a monopoly and jack the prices up.

While I have been enjoying my trips to the DR, I have been working on my business plan to open a facility in the DR that will rival your other options. I know what I like and dislike but more importantly I wanted to get some input from members here and find out what are some of there bells and whistles I should add to enhance the experience.
Here are some of the things I would like to learn.
Do you like the pay as you go model or would you rather have an all inclusive price?
If you don’t want every thing all inclusive what if your drinks and food where inclusive and you paid extra for your Entertainment?
Would you rather be in a private exclusive setting like a house instead of a hotel?
Would you pay a little more for a higher quality companion $60 Short $100 Long?
Are other activates important to you while you’re in the DR, fishing, golf etc.?
Any input you can give me on what you would like to see in this facility would be appreciated I want to make sure I create an environment we will all enjoy.

I started traveling to DR about 5 or so years ago, and the North Coast a little over 3 years ago. I, too, entertained the idea of opening an establishment early on. As I believe anyone should do with any business, I started doing my research and observing the P4P environment over a period of time. What I noticed over those few years is that most non-Dominican P4P establishments (particularly those that were even remotely successful, i.e., Frank's, Field of Dreams) were eventually taken over by Dominicans. It could very well be a coincidence, but I can tell you that I no longer entertain the thought of doing such a business.
If I had any advice to give, it would be to be weary of your competition, otherwise you could very well find yourself building up a business that, eventually, a Dominican will end up owning.

Brother, I did not stay at a hotel, but at a timeshare. No, I do not suggest it at the least, as I was told from the door that it was not chica friendly. Moreover, it wanted to charge a significant chica fee, but would not state the fee initially. I simply rented a short-time room at BB's on the two occasions that I needed a room. I continue to thank Ponderosa for helping with this matter. I was ready to risk an international incident, becuase I WAS going to sneak that hot sister into my apartment and was not taking prisoners.
There exists several condo apartments in the general area. I am certain that some of our members can suggest one or two.

Personally, I avoid mandatory all-inclusive resorts. I prefer to have the option, then choose not to exercise the option.

The BB's example works for me. I have never been to a house option, but I feel that it would have to be sufficiently large for me to feel comfortable.

No these businesses are not profitable so the owners are happy to get out alive and often the Dominican entrepreneurs who take over don't do any better.
Trouble is, it is very difficult to run these businesses honestly, offer good value, and make a profit.
Domincan employees are a nightmare, and there is much absenteeism and pilfering, so good luck to anyone who wants to give it a go.

When it comes to officials and getting through a process its part of the culture to make some payments to get it expedited.
As far as getting strong armed, I’m not aware of any incidents like this but there is a private security firm that is trained by the police and have the authority to carry weapons the locals know they mean business and to stay clear. I used a company like this in Mexico and they where very effective.
I understand there have been a few buy outs but look at BB for example it’s a great place, no problems from the locals and it’s owned by an American from Cuba.

As far as I am aware, one pays each of the girls the standard fee, but one advantage is that one expects to have twice the time as a 3-some.

If neither you nor the Santiago driver are familiar with the route to Costambar, you could spend your night and budget looking for the location.
Again, I highly recommend the Harborview Condos for the first night or two.
Billy, the owner can coordinate where the taxi can drop you off and he can pick you up.
Check his website, call/email him and explain your situation. You will get service you won't see from any other place.
He can show you around, maybe take you around before heading to the condo, and if necesary, fix you up to have a date waiting for you.

Sounds good. Looks like you are speaking of a model that Mustang Ranch Resort uses. I think they have packages that include room and 3 meals (someone correct me if I am wrong).
You could have the room/meals all inclusive, and the "entertainment" a separate thing one would have to negotiate on his own, such as at Blackbeard's.

You could keep a library of DVD's for people to check out at the front desk. Keep up with who has what by having people sign for the DVD's upon check out and return of them. Probably will be very useful for guys who negotiate TLN with chica. Gives us yanks a opportunity to show them what REAL American cinema looks like (just make sure the DVD's have Spanish subtitle options, lol).

If both options could not be offered, I suggest pay as you go.
Unless the all-inclusive price is extremely reasonable, one has to eat like a pig or drink like a fish to get value from it.

Suggest golf, horseback trips, maybe short cruises, with swim/snorkeling, - but things one might take a girl/date along.
The high-end thousand-dollar-a-day venues are covered.
Focus on good value for the money, in terms of room, food/drink, women, etc. Not luxurious.
Keep the filet mignon and Egyptian cotton sheets if it means another $50-$100 a day.

Point here is that I (my taste) would rather have a flock of pretty, sweet, enthusiastic, girls who are fun in bed than model look-a-likes who cost twice as much, and are duds.
I would further counsel that the employees be Dominicans, but the managers/supervisors not be. You need service-oriented, attention to detail types that are hard to find in the DR.
Blackbeards, as you stated, is not a bad model, with some tweaking regarding physical plant (constant electricity, AC, etc). Quality control environment with the girls is best handled by another Dominican woman.
And have a very good lawyer, because unless you bribe the right people constantly, you’ll need one.

No, I haven't. But, I think you'd be a fool to be "strong-armed" and then advertise the fact that you've been strong-armed, especially if you intend to continue to reside here.

Food inclusive. Drinks extra (prevents drunk, loud people and keeps costs low). Entertainment definitely extra.

Hotel is ok with max rooms 20-30. House ok with rooms > 10.

Definitely. Quality is impt. $60 is still way lesser than $250 in the US.

Not outdoors activities but some time of the day or weekend that we get to meet ladies and like-minded folks (mongers) e.g. BB's bikini contest gets the mood going. Poolside parties or other harmless fun creates the right environment.
Any input you can give me on what you would like to see in this facility would be appreciated I want to make sure I create an environment we will all enjoy.Some important things (must haves):
(a) Good free breakfast for guys and their gals.
(b) Laundry facility.
(c) Manager/concierge that can arrange cabs, tourism, money exchange, etc to get our minds off the travel arrangements part.
(d) A good bouncer/security to keep things in check - e.g. check cedula of girls brought into the rooms.
(e) Proximity to regular places such as drugstores, ATM, a quick burger, condoms, toothpaste, mall, etc.
(f) Safe, dependable arrangements for pickup from airport (paid is ok).
(g) All adhoc charges must be made to room tab. Helps keep the mind off the constant currency conversion.
(h) Access to a bunch of dependable taxi guys for hire 3-8 hrs on-demand.
(i) Wi-fi access.
(j) Safe in-room or on-site.
(k) Clean drinking water (bottles or on tap) but very reliable.
(l) Good online reservation. Not like the BB crap.
And the nice-to-haves:
(a) Price minimum for house girls. Helps the girls relax as they do not need to negotiate and attracts the best because they then know what they would earn before the enter the door. Hence most of the deal is done before they enter the resort. Reduces the unpleasantness (if any) in the transaction.
(b) A price ceiling also protects both. Not necessary if the girl deserves it and the guy is willing to pay higher.
(c) Fridge in room for the borachas - increases sales for hotel too.
(d) Cellphone rental in hotel.
(e) Tourism with house girls. Group travel with amigas can be fun.
(f) Map print out of area. map printout of city with attractions ans bad areas highlighted.

As far as the legal issues and bribes and competing with the Dominicans although it is a legitimate concern, I have been running businesses in South America for almost 10 years and again it’s a culture and easy to maneuver through once you under stand it.
As far as competing with the locals that’s also a process that you have to understand I own and run business in Mexico and Columbia, two of the most corrupt environments you could possibly deal with, and it’s amazing what can be accomplished when you bring in a small investor such as a judge, or federally it’s amazing how eager they are to protect there investment without greasing too many palms, for 6 years now I have a judge as a small investor (less than 3%) in one of my business in Chapala Mexico and in that time I have paid out less than a tenth of a percent of my profits in donations to local officials. Early on I tried it on my own and paid out 1/3 of my profit to get a building project completed in the Monterrey Mexico. It was an expensive lesson to learn, but in ten years I have learned a lot about the culture and how to manage through the process effectively.

The funny thing, as a side note, is that the U.S. Government realizes this through its tax policy. The commentary to the tax code and the tax cases, which very few people other than tax lawyers and law students read, explicitedly disallows (does not allow) business deductions by companies operating in foreign jurisductions that must provide gifts, payments, and the like in order to do business. The commentary goes so far as to say that the IRS will not allow such deductions even where it is a known fact that a business must make such a "payment" in a foreign jurisdiction in order to do business. It further adds that no deduction occurs even if it is legal and a bona fide business practice. I remember reading a case years ago that involved a major, blue-chip U.S. company doing business in a country south of the border. The local jurisduction required a small cut. The U.S. company could not deduct it as a necessary business expense.
One must read between the lines and acknowledge that the information provided by others on here is quite correct.

Never tried using travelers checks there.
If not, a simple solution would be to cash the traveler's checks at BB and then exchange the cash at Jenny's.

More to the point, you may want to ensure that you have a flight booked at a price you can afford for the dates you want before you make a reservation at Blackbeard's, because once you have arranged the flight your money is pretty much committed.

I have used Travelers checks at BB's but they will not change very many into US dollars. They (BB's) will give you pesos but the exchange is not as good as Jenny's. I go to a bank to exchange Trav. Ck's. Banco Popular is about 10 min. away. There is always someone staying there that has a car or one of the girls can take you there on their scooter. Give them a tip to cover gas and time. Bring your passport with you to the bank.

Okay, this is the alternate suggestion.
Take your funds in 100s in an envelope.
Keep it on your person (ie, money belt, buttoned back pocket, etc).
Upon arrival in POP, take a cab/car direct to Costambar.
Secure most in the room safe, take the rest as needed to Jennys to convert to pesos.
You should have no problems considering you travel direct from airport to hotel. If concerned about security (not necessary in this scenario) keep minimum in your wallet or keep a "throw-away" wallet with a few small bills.
