Krystal, Yohanny, Delaniah all are on point from what I have experienced you area right. I will be there 12/4 to 12/8 to reconfirm that. Thanks for the heads up.

I've spent time with her several times and every time I wonder how her body doesn't fall apart,my ex-wife looked like shit after just two kids.

Care to type a few words on DR nights? Price is kinda high, but was it fun? Chica quality? TAV?DR nights in Punta Cana was a good time, you pay for what you get. Hotel was a resort right on beach, girls were very good looking and accommodating. Food was good, there were about 6 or 7 restaurants to choose from, but the price was high, I don't know if I would do that again. TAV is cheaper, girls again are good looking and accommodating, only one restaurant to choose from, and there hotel is in Boca Chica which is not the best area in the DR, Accommodations were adequate for the purpose, again TAV is mich cheaper. I am going to try Blackbeards, I am pretty sure I can have 2 girls a day, and still be around $1500 or $1600 for 6 nights, which is still $900 cheaper than TAV and alot cheaper than DR Nights.

Well just got back from BB's the last time I was there was at the end of Aug. This trip was my best. Much better then my experience in Aug. The place is running real smooth right now.

My observations: (not saying these are positives or negatives just what I saw/noticed)

1-The girls are now smoking up stairs and around the pool, never noticed that before.

2- Cell phones are being used much more by the girls around the pool and disco. They were making many calls and texts.

3- Better talent and the girls seemed happier then in Aug.

4- Better guests then Aug.

5- Have not seen it mentioned and the cab didn't know about it but there is an ATM to the right of the dirt road about a 1/4 mile at a café.

6- Yes Yohanny is back what service and she looks better then when I saw her in March.

7- Staff went out of their way several times to accommodate my needs.

As I was leaving some very hot chica was starting that had worked there before moved to Iceland and now is back. The only reason I mention it is that many of the regulars knew of her.

Bottom line BB's was great Guys!

Hired a taxi driver who happens to be big that I knew and trusted from previous trips(as much as you can trust anyone) as my translator to take me to some local bars in PP; ones not known for pros. Strange feeling to be in a place as the only white guy. I had some luck but she spoke very little English and I little Spanish and she didn't know PP very well. When we met the second time she asked "dónde vamos" well I don't speak Spanish but I knew enough to realize I was in trouble! Questions for the real veterans. What are the names and locations of some good bars/discos and hotels; yea I am not taking someone back to BB's, that you could take a non-pro.

A final note, this is for all of you that drive over there. We came up on a fresh scooter accident where the scooter driver was dead and mangled. My cab screeched to a halt and he flew out the door as well as the girl I was with to the body. They tried to pull me over to him but I stayed on the side walk. Within 30 seconds there must have been 100 Dominicans surrounding him yelling and screaming. I saw uniformed guys with sticks out. Now I sure as hell wouldn't want to be an American standing there as the guy driving the car that hit him!

When there are nasty accidents, the locals come out in droves to see the aftermath, I have seen dead bodies on the highway between Santiago and Santo Domingo and there is always a big crowd of people.

There is a nice bar on the top floor of the building that houses the Sea World (Ocean World) casino. Supposedly the nicest bar in Puerto Plata. You could also take a chica to one of the bars that sit on the Malecon, that sit facing the beach, in Puerto Plata.

Depending where you are with the chica, you can visit the bars in Playa Dorada complex, a few minutes past the Brugal factory on the road that goes to the airport. Many local chicas love to hang out in Playa Dorada complex (many cannot get in, unless they are accompanied by a foreigner). There is Hemingways bar, Roadhouse and Coco Boingo. Playa Dorada is a gated complex with about 8 all inclusive hotels, security inside those bars should not be a concern. You don't have to be a guest at Playa Dorada to enter.

Doker,

Nice report.

You got my juices flowing about this Iceland thing. Let us know the name of the globetrotting chica.

I drive down in the DR and my re-occurring nightmare is to have a motoconcho do something stupid and kill themself and I would get blamed.for it. I too have seen the crowds of people that gather when an accicdent like this happens. I have been quite fortunate (or maybe lucky/talented enough to keep out of trouble). I do have nightmares about things that may go wrong though.

Playa Dorada has several nice bars/nightclubs as long as you escort the lady in. Ocean World in Confresi has some top notch lounges and entertainment as well as a lobster bar. Also as mentioned, there are a couple riealy nice places on the Malacon in PP to take a non pro.

Lesser restaurants in the area that are still very nice are Los Tres Cocos in Las Rocas (the next little town west of Costambar) Great food and nice ambiance. Chris and Madys right by the main enterance to Ocean World in Confresi is another nice restaurant and you won't break the bank.

If it is obvious you and your non pro are going to need privacy, go to any of the Cabanas that line the main road between Costambar and Santiago. That is what they are there for.

Enjoy yourself.

Hello, all,

I am thinking of making a get-away to the DR the week between Christmas and New Year's. I have some experience (all good ones!) in SD, BC, and Cabarete but BB's has caught my eye. From all of the great info posted on this forum I think that this will be a good choice for a relaxing week of lazy mongering however I am a bit concerned about the holidays affecting the number/quality of chicas at the resort. Has anyone stayed a BB's during the holidays before? Any input would be great appreciated!

Stay horny my friends.

I was there 2 years ago Dec. 27 to Jan.4. It was not bad at all. There were plenty of girls around. The place was about 70% full. I do not think you will have any problems at all. John puts on a nice New Years Party.

One tip...if you want to be with a "special" date or 2 and really want to bring in the new year with a "bang" then set that up a day or so before. The best dates may have plans (dates) already lined up.

Have a great time.

Hi:

Has anyone out there taken a bus from Santa Domingo to Puerto Plata? How long does it take and is it relatively safe since my Spanish is essentially non-exixtant.

I have been to DR only once before (BB's) and am interested in seeing the country a little more this time while staying at Santa Domingo and mongering there but also heading back to BB's for a short return as well.

Also, is the bus station in Puerto Plata kinda close to the airport? I'd like to gauge a fair cab fare to BB's from there.

This is officially my first post since joining ISG. Thanks

She is smoking hot, I can not imagine how she can look that good after 5 kids, that is simply amazing. One thing to keep in mind, because of the kids she doesn't hang around too late and I don't think she'll do TLN, other members may be able to confirm this but I have always taken her in the daytime because that is what someone told me.

The most memorable threesome I have ever had in my life, and I've had my share of them, is her and Ybel (spelling?) they were a legendary pair until one of us mongers took Ybel to Canada, I heard she is back in the DR but I haven't seen her. Attached are a few pics of Ybel performing in one of the bikini contests. I have several videos of her performances but I have no idea how to post videos, if anyone can guide me through it I'll gladly share them with everyone.

I believe the no TLN is due to the infant. Can't be more than 2-3 months old.
I had done a TLN with Yohanny last summer, but last month, she couldn't do the TLN.

The PP bus stop (guessing) is one third of the way from BB to the POP airport.
(If BB is a $45 fare, the fare from bus stop should be about $30).

Sosua and its bus stop is much closer ($5-6 miles?) so if the airport is the destination, take the bus all the way to Sosua and get a cab from there.

With a bunch of kids to feed, clothe, etc, she has no time to sit aound getting fat.
And if you have ever had her in bed, it is absolutely obvious how she burns off a ton of calories!

If she has 2-3 clients in a day, she does more work in a day than most women, and in the days of the Yohanny-Ybel "marathon sessions" its a wonder she never dropped from exhaustion!

Two major bus companies, Caribe Tours and Metro. I just posted a few photos of the Caribe Tours station in Santo Domingo. Metro has a nice bus station, I am fairly certain on Avenida churchill not far from Avenida 27 de febreo in santo domingo. Caribe tours has their schedule posted online. Both bus companies are safe with modern buses. Metro buses I have been told are a little better. I have been to both the Caribe Tours and the Metro bus station in Puerto Plata to drop off chicas who were returning to Santo Domingo. Both of those stations are somewhat in the central part of Puerto Plata, $30 dollar taxi fare to BB, from either of those two stations sounds about right. I usually rent a car, so I am no expert on taxi fares.

I don't know if I can believe this.
I checked the FOD website, and no change.
If this email is to be believed, its another "Dominican Disaster" in the making.
Take a well-run, well-priced business, jack up the prices to an absurd, business-losing level.
If not bad enough, set up several of the same within a few miles of each other so they take business from each other.
Someone tried to make the "Mambo Plaza" work a few years ago, and its been one more abandoned facility, a testimony to the poor business sense that drives such things.

Add to that a two-bit English translation for promotional ads and you have all the makings of another failed Dominican-run business.
Alberto is no fool. He would not be the author of such madness.

I emailed Bill "Dominican Billy" Lane for some info. Will post when I get a reply.

Say it ain't so! It is no secret that Alberto has been looking for a buyer for some time now, he offered to sell it to me back in April.

When I was at FOD in September I spoke with a guy who told me his relatives who were in the real estate business and were lawyers also had a client who was in the process of buying FOD. I witnessed them going through the due diligence process of taking inventory of everything on the property, right down to the silverware. As someone who has bought and sold quite a few businesses in my life I know what I was witnessing. It is always possible that the deal fell through after that but usually when you get to that point the deal goes through, maybe an adjustment of the final sales price if inventories aren't what was previously quoted, but with a place like FOD I don't see that as being an issue because it is primarily a real estate sale not a business with big money in any kind of inventory.

I will e-mail the guy and try to find out what is going on and report what he says.

That "someone" who tried to make "Mambo Plaza" work is the same (German) guy who is proposing this whole scheme.

I wonder where he has spent most of the intervening years? (Nudge, nudge, wink, wink).

Say it ain't so!I read the same thing as well, as a little paragraph from Billy saying he no longer wanted anything to do with FOD anymore. I was hopeful that maybe it was a scam as their website had not changed. Attached is a copy of what is supposedly the new flyer for FOD.

I emailed FOD asking whether anything had changed and if their room rates were same, but haven't received a response.

BTW. I think it would be quite foolish to try to rent the FOD rooms out at USD190 a night. IMHO.

I got the same response.
Thanks Buscemi for the PM with the url for Billy's posted comments.

Seems this is a trial to try to bring in some additional revenue because the place is not bringing in enough as a well-run well-priced establishment.
This alternate membership sales plan will fail, of course.
I'd encourage all who appreciate the place as it is to patronize it as regular guests, so it can survive and thrive as it is.

The "VIP Club" B.S. will certainly fail, and an effort should be made to save the place as it is.

So what is going on here with FOD???

Are they still doing regular rooms and pick out an independant chica or are they selling VIP Club memberships and charging an arm and a leg for a room and then a chica???

Are they doing both?

I read on another website that DR Billy is distancing himself from all this and that this may be a temporary trial balloon.

Does anyone know for sure?

The dumb thing about this is that the more confusion that this causes within the "monger comunity" (much of the target audience for FOD in the recent past) the less likely they are to go either route.

PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND!!

Your not the only one confused reading through these posts. The question I keep asking myself is "How can you charge 190.00 a night?" with BB's right down the street at 55.00 to 60.00 a night and Sousa 30 minutes away. Something doesnt make sense.

Just when FOD was starting to build its self up again to the level of success it once had they head down the wrong path. Have they learned NOTHING from the past difficulties? Why would anyone pay these prices in the DR? I just hope that the fallout created when this place crashes and burns (and it won't take long) does not hurt our hobby! John at BB's will be laughing all the way to the bank.

BB's survives because they fly under the radar, they offer one stop shopping, provide a quality experience for a reasonable price. They are proof that you can do more than survive in a tough economy if you are smart.

If you want to compete with a successful well established business you better offer more for less and not less for more.

Of course, only the completely uninformed will opt for the "VIP" option.

According to Billy, FOD is back to normal:

THE KROUT IS OUT!

I am happy to say that the Field of Dreams Inn is back to normal with even a few more amenities to offer the guests. Alberto has kicked the krout out. We had a meeting here at my bar with Alberto and 3 of his investors. Plus two lost hotel guests from last week when the rate was $100us a night.

Alberto had not read the BS that was put up on his “world wide” Field of Dreams VIP timeshare web site. Opening 7 venues in 2010, 700 chicas on call, 300 in the Plaza Mambo disco etc etc.

Now Jessina the hotel manager who has had to field all the irate calls and questions is a happy camper once again. She is will handle all your reservations as before. [http://www.fieldofdreamsinn.com/]

The rooms are: Standard @ $60us, Deluxe Suite @ $86us and the Superior Suite @ $110us. All taxes included with breakfast.

Alberto is presently separating the dining area from the bar so there is a quiet place to eat. For those who don’t mind the music there will still be food served in the bar area.

I will also add that Josie and all the chicas are much happier with the ouster of the krout and his rules (750 pesos an hour to use the jacuzzi).

For the walk in visitor from the Playa Dorada or those of us that live here you can still get a room for 4 hours @ 450 pesos. Of course that is just so we have a place to change when we use the jacuzzi or pool.

According to Billy, FOD is back to normal:

This is great news.

For all those who haven't been, FOD is a great place to stay.

In spite of the scorn from "expert" mongers, I like BlackBeard's and I highly reommend it to mongers who want to spend less time hunting and more time feasting. Especially for a first-timer, it is THE place to get an introduction to the DR, without the pitfalls of the street action.

Likewise, Field of Dreams is a very attractive, well-run well priced place.
Not as "high energy" as BlackBeards, it doesn't promote the chicas as much (though it should) and is more quiet and laid back
Great service, great bar, great food.
Sixty bucks a night, breakfast included is a great deal.
For a day or two with a "special" chica, this is a great choice.

Depending on the level of "energy" you're looking for, if you arre new to the DR, or haven't tried FOD yet, I recommend both places highly.

Has been closed for four years and is in serious disrepair. No plans to reopen it as a nightclub. It might even be converted into something quite different like workshop units.

The building is huge, used to house around 300 in its heyday as a venue for live music but there are no longer that many affluent gringos around to support a club that large in that location.

Hello, all,

After reading previous posts, it seems that I have been unable to form an opinion on this subject. Is there anyone who would be willing to fill me in on some specifics? I am no stranger to the DR but most of my mongering has been solo and without the aid of the popular mongering resorts.

I am interested in some nice, lazy mongering and it seems that these two spots are popular. But, I would like the input of some vets out there. Has anyone been to both places and be willing to educate me on the differences?

Specifically, the differences in:

1. Quality of accomodations/ammenities

2. Quality/quantity of chicas (looks, attitude, performance, etc)

3. Price of chicas LT/ST

4. Proximity to beaches, attractions, etc.

5. Quality/helpfulness/attitude of management and staff

6. Attitude/type of usual guests

I am a very friendly, MOSTLY laid-back guy that loves to hang out at the pool or beach during the day, with an occasional outing to nearby attractions. At night I enjoy the camaraderie of fellow mongers and of course to flirt with chicas, I'm not exactly a "find one that makes your dick hard and drag her to the room" type of guy. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Stay horny my friends

28 July to 1 August 2009 Comparison Trip to BB and FOD

Report:

MONEY EXCHANGE:
POP Airport exchange kiosk rate: 32.3
Airport unofficial money changer: 35
BB: 34
Jenny’s 35.9
FOD: “you can try at Playa Dorada”

PHYSICAL LAYOUT: Very Similar
Both: A central swimming pool, overlooked by a bar/restaurant area, surrounded by rooms. (FOD is currently all ground-level rooms). All enclosed and accessed only through the reception area).
FOD: Attractive bar/dining area, 20-ft marble bar (if that matters to you), TV, 2 computer stations, pool table, darts, etc. There is a Jacuzzi, but it is smaller, and not enclosed.
BB: (For new guys) Pretty much the same. Bar is smaller. One computer station. (Didn’t try the WI-FI at either one, though am told they both have it). New furniture in the dining area, with glass on the table tops.

LOCATION: This debate depends entirely on one’s taste and how one defines “isolated.”

BB is located in Costambar, far from Puerto Plata, Sosua, etc.
Costambar is a quiet, mostly residential area. A few restaurants off-site, no other night life. On the other hand, if you aren’t driving, you can walk to the supermarket (Jenny’s) or pharmacy in 5 minutes, to change money, buy water, or whatever in the market or condoms, generic Viagra, Cialis at the pharmacy. You can walk around the corner to get a pizza or try one of the places on the beach.
The Costambar beach is 5 minutes walk away. Its not Sosua beach. Its quiet (usually have the place all to yourself during the week) and pleasant. Can buy a beer, rent a cot and stretch out with a girl in the shade. If you want crowds, and to pick up chicas at the beach, then its Sosua you want.

FOD is just 4-5 miles east of Puerto Plata, about 5-6 miles west of the airport, 8-9 miles from Sosua, across the road from Playa Dorada all-inclusive. It is centrally located, - but you can’t walk anywhere but Playa Dorada. One could walk to the beach area in Playa Dorada in 10-15 minutes.
If you want to buy water, tooth paste, try a restaurant, bar, etc., you need a taxi/rental car. A taxi was usually seen in the parking lot at FOD. So according to my definition of “accessible” FOD was centrally located, but accessing anything needed wheels, not feet. It would be easy (and safer) to conduct “expeditions” to party in Puerto Plata or Sosua and return with a girl by taxi to FOD. It is not as visible from the street, so, yes chicas can go topless in the pool. If one wanted to “get away” from the pace at BB, FOD is more laid-back.
I thought both were good, -just different atmosphere. If you want a place for a group to party and have the place pretty much to yourself, with taxis/wheels to go wherever, FOD is a pretty good choice.

ROOMS: Very similar.
FOD: Standard room= $47US + tax. Clean, well maintained. Marble floor throughout. Small (cramped) but adequate shower, washbasin, toilet area adjacent to bedroom. TV, safe, AC, ceiling fan. (The rooms have small fridges, - but just my luck, my room didn’t, so no comment on whether they have ‘mini-bars”).

BB: Had both a “Deluxe Single” and Standard.
Deluxe Standard= $60US+tax; Standard= $55+tax.
I hadn’t stayed in a Standard for a few years, because the Deluxe rooms in the main building had power when the electricity failed. Since the upgrades, I see little benefit now. The Standard bedroom was the same size, same features as FOD. The bathroom however, was much larger. All tiled, the shower area was spacious, with 2 removable showerheads and a tiled bank/ledge area where one could sit/lie down (soapy massages?). Lots of room to “shower with friends.”
Prices are comparable, but based on upgrades and bathroom, I preferred BB in this category.

FOOD: Both good.
At BB I ordered a grilled sea bass fillet in garlic sauce, potato and a side salad for 275 pesos (that’s only about 6 bucks!). I enjoyed it.
(Burgers? Don’t know. - I can get those at home).

At FOD I ordered exactly the same meal; price 365 pesos (about 10 bucks).
(To be fair, the filet was also about 40% bigger too); smaller salad. Also well prepared. I was the only guest in the dining area in both cases, and amazingly, the meal arrived at BB slightly quicker than FOD.
I had the Dominican Breakfast (eggs, ham, mashed platano (mangu) at both, with a fruit plate. Both very similar in quality/price.

GIRLS:
BB: There has been about a 90% turnover of chicas at BB, with emphasis on slim girls. A variety of looks. Girls are usually required to take a day (11-6) or night (6-1) work shift. Early in the week there are usually few guests (Tuesday-Wednesday about 3-4) so many girls are allowed to take time off, so as not to waste their time. I usually saw about 10 or so, even on the slow days. It was emphasized to me by Rosalba or Luchy, the mama-sans, to tell them which one I wanted, and they would call her in. On the weekends, as guests start arriving, the number of girls increases as well. To spend a few minutes there on one occasion does not provide an accurate impression. Like the guy who visited New York during the Blackout and said he didn’t like it because “it was too dark.” I spent time with an “old favorite”, some new; - and there were some really cute ones that didn’t show up till the morning I was leaving (as usual).

Reviews:
Hilda: An old favorite. Dark, fantastic body with full, well-toned legs and bottom and natural D or DD breasts. Very competent in bed. Friendly, laid-back. We converse in Spanish and I like her. A good gal with a good heart. (For those who can appreciate that).

Joanna: There less than a year. Petite (maybe 5 ft) with white skin, green eyes, European features, small (nice) pert breasts, -and a Dominican booty. The hair always changes, but hers was (then) straight, ash-blonde, looked good (and with green eyes, I have no idea what the color really is). Just a little “meaty” in the hips, bottom, thighs for me, -but nice and “voluptuous.” Five pounds would be a lot on that tiny frame, but if she dropped 5 and tightened up the booty just a bit, she would be HOT!
She is intelligent and we conversed a while beforehand, and “clicked” with a little chemistry, so the bedroom play was nice. (As always, YMMV).

Giselle: Medium-light skin tone, breasts are probably natural Es. I tried a little massage, but she was too ticklish and giggly for that. Very nice, friendly and accommodating. Surprised me a bit when she applied some lubricant between her Big-Uns and started me there. She must get a lot of requests for that. Very soft (and natural, as they are starting the trip down) -but when she lies on her back, its like two Astrodomes. (Get them now while they are still above her waist).

Kilsia: Cute face, blonde hair (for now). Tiny breasts and pretty, slim figure/bottom. Okay, but no fireworks (for me). YMMV.

FOD: When I walked in Thursday afternoon, there were about 10 girls around; about half formerly from BB. (Elizabeth, Wendy, Jackie, Josie, Santa, Diana, etc). FOD currently does not emphasize chicas like BB does, so its much more laid-back, less organized. (Angelita, the supposed mamsan wasn’t there during the 2 days I was around). This place at present is “pot-luck” or “bring your own.”

Wendy: Formerly at BB. Relaxed, very accommodating. Exceptional bottom and legs. As stated in another report, she is the Energizer Bunny; will keep going and going, and going… Get some rest first.

Josie: As some have called her, “Sporty Spice.” Very friendly, helpful gal. Small breasts, slim body, light caramel skin. (Hairstyle/color? What day is it?) We enjoy each others company, so was very friendly and fun in bed.

Don’t know if FOD will make chicas their major feature like BB. If they chose to do so, the competition could be fantastic for consumers, but at present, it’s not their priority.

In all other aspects, the two are very similar; but for chicas, at present BB is much better, since its much more organized, and the selection is greater.
I like FOD; I could see spending some “quality time” there with a chica, or bringing a group to have the place all to ourselves, but if I wanted a good variety of girls within arms reach or a phone call away, I have to award this point to BB.

Observations of a Generation X Curmudgeon

Newbies: I don’t know everything, but IMO you will always get back what you put in. I find if I take time to know a girl (okay, speaking Spanish helps) I have a much better time in bed. Building just a little rapport pays back with interest in bed. A girl with a first-time client doesn’t know your preferences –or whether you’re an abusive psycho. Treat her like she was your woman and she’ll treat you like you were her man.
Most chicas are there because they are poor and without opportunities, not because of your sexy self. Act like an imitation pimp, like they are only “worthless hoes” and you will get what they are obliged to provide, -but not the “little extra” they give to someone they like. Act like you are the only human being in the room and the sex is like masturbation with assistance.

I guess it’s a “maturity thing”….
What is it with “Generation Y”? A major fashion trend on the East Coast must be skinny beards and huge, fat asses and bellies. Saw them at both places. FOD: 20-something white hip-hop wannabes with the whole uniform. Baggy shorts and jerseys, the “bling” thing, and ain’t none of em seen a gym lately. Imagine Jabba the Hut with a backward baseball cap. Playing profanity-laced hip-hop at deafening volume on the bar sound system in the evening was enough to drive me from the bar. (Class is about how you consider/treat those around you). I weep for my country’s future.

Saw a couple of 30-something BUFFs at BB as well. (BUFF= Big Ugly Fat F**k). Apparently the city noise in NY and NJ has made the population deaf, cause these guys were always loud. Listening to their crude chica humor at volume in the dining area was a treat as well. Did Clemenza father all these guys? They must look for blind women to reproduce with.
Both incidents remind me of how these chicas really earn every peso they make.
These guys would repel farm animals.

And then:
Friday night, after a year apart, in walks my “ex.”
Even at BB, eyes and heads turned as she moved through to where I was sitting.
Long, shapely brown legs; high, firm, ample Dominican bubble-butt.
Slim waist, tight blouse showing off her cleavage. Add long, black hair, lip gloss.
I was toast.
Spent the rest of my last evening and night with her, -and do I need to say it was the most intense sex of the trip?
Next day, she accompanied me to the airport. She stayed to watch from the observation area. We waved as my group was walked out to the aircraft. From my window seat, I could see her there watching until the aircraft began to taxi and took her out of view.
And yet I knew that she would be working that night, to pay the bills and save up for the small business she wants to start. (She got her business degree last year, but DR jobs are few and pay poorly). Just a “worthless hoe,” right?
Makes life complicated. (At least for me it does).

It seems I have been properly chastised for not spending enough time on research, sorry guys. I didn't look far enough back in the forum to answer my own questions. The more recent reports that I DID look for and find were very confusing and contradictory, thus the posting of my questions. Sorry for littering.

To Yanqui. Thank you for your kindness!

I'Ve been a monger and a lurker on this forum for quite awhile. Don't know why I haven't put in any reports before – maybe lack of time or writing ability – anyway, this is one I just had to share.

I just got back to the real world from a trip to Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic. I had done the Blackbeard's thing and it's great, but getting a little boring. There are a handful of good looking girls there, but when you get past those...

I was looking to get out of the hotel and a friend recommended "The Man Tour". Ed, the American guy who runs it, is an ex-pat, monger, has lived in the DR for 3 years, speaks Spanish, etc. He's just getting started, so there is no set itinerary, he just finds out what you want to do and makes some recommendations. He knows the bar owners and provides transportation. At least it beats relying on some taxi driver.

But let's get to the incredible Iberi – WOW is all I can say. First we went to a couple of regular Dominican dance clubs – Canita, Teraza CariB. We were early so there wasn't much going on, but the places looked promising for later. Teraza Caribe had a lot of good looking waitresses who were sitting around strategically throughout the club. Do they double as semi-pro escorts? Then we went to some clubs I'd seen from the street, but never visited, and a couple I wouldn't have known about. One of them (Consulado?, or Choca-something?), had some girls stripping. Most of the strippers were fugly, but one of them, Iberi, reminded me of the green stripper girl from one of the star trek episodes. She had an absolutely smokin' body and moved it well. My guess as to her age would be 19 or 20. I couldn't take my eyes off her. So while my friends were buying drinks for some of the (not great) other prospects, I grabbed Iberi and sat her down beside me.

Ok, we both knew what we were there for, but I'm sick the usual businesslike sex you get hookers and wanted to see if I could achieve the proverbial GFE. Therefore, I did a little experiment. I started treating her like a girlfriend with no more than some hand holding followed by an arm around her waist for about the first 20 minutes. I tried to treat her with some obvious respect. WOW, was I rewarded! After about 15 minutes she started making the moves on me. Typical hooker behavior you say? True. But what the hell, you have to use a little imagination. We started kissing and feeling each other up like teenagers on prom night. Next, I decided I was going to NOT ask her to the back room and see what happened. With a lot of the girls its about 5 minutes of fake foreplay then, "come on, let's go fuck now, then they start looking at their watch. " Not with Iberi. After about another 10 minutes or so, I couldn't take it any longer, so I asked her if she would go in the back with me.

When we got to the back room, she was already wet. The whole thing was like my Junior High fantasy with the green-skinned star trek original series girl. (What was that episode? Actress?) The room itself was a piece of crap, but my god – Iberi. I got a great BJ plus we did it in about 4 or 5 different positions, and both of us came at least twice. Yes, she let me recover for round two and didn't just head for the door after round one. All I know is I was on wobbly legs getting out of there, and it wasn't the Presidente's! The cost was 1500 for the girl plus I think a 300 or 400 peso "salida", with the room provided by the management. I also gave her a decent tip and got her phone number. (Nope, you can't have it!, I plan to call her when I come back in March. I hope she will still be there and not have turned into a big ***** yet. What do you think are the chances?)

My buddies weren't so lucky, so we closed the night out at Cristal's, which has some gorgeous young girls, but was pretty expensive (at least relatively from a DR, Puerto Plata point of view). $100 for an encounter on the premises (3600 pesos), and I don't remember how much for an off-site Todo La Noche. I think 5000 pesos or so? Iberi was just as hot or hotter than any of the girls at Cristal's, and AWESOME in the sack. (My buddies had mixed results at Cristal's in the "good in the sack" department. I've got to do some more research there!) Drinks at Cristal's? $200 pesos for a drink that would cost you maybe 60 outside – ok, you do get the half-naked girl sitting in your lap along with it, but if she's drinking one, now you're up to $400 pesos for ½ hour. So, let's C... 800 pesos and hour is about $24 an hour US. Oh well, that's still 25% of what my divorce lawyer makes, and I'm having a whole lot better time with her than I did with him.

Anyway, if you're in Puerto Plata or Sosua and want to do something different, I would reocommend the Man Tour – the web site is themantour.net. I would definitely do it again. The price is $75, and includes transportation, a meal, and Presidente's in the car. There is a discount code they advertise at the airport which gets you $10 off the price of the tour. (It's AP0912AU). The four of us paid $65 each which is more than we would have spent on cab fare, but it was worth it to not have to worry about getting "gringoed" by all the venders, plus having a local along to steer us out of trouble and into the right nightspots. Incidentally, I don't think the girls get a huge percentage of the prices – so medium tips are well appreciated. Dominican men hardly tip at all.

P.S. Thanks, Jackson for providing this great forum. Now on to Costa Rica! Next time: photos.

Stay safe.

At BBs or FOD what are the Normal services the ladies provide?

For example is BBBJ and CIM normal or extra and have to be negotiated before?

I have read the great reports but very few describe the services of the ladies.

Thanks

I have a friend who will be staying in Playa Dorada complex for a family type vacation. I suggested to him that he visit Field of Dreams and that he can walk there from the hotel in Playa Dorada complex.

I have not been in Puerto Plata in a while. I know Playa Dorada complex has two entrances with gates. The western most gate would be in the direction of the Brugal factory and the eastern most gate would be in the direction of the airport.

Which of the two gates is closer to the road that goes to Field of Dreams?

Thanks

ThanksWell I think we all know what "normal' services are provided but just in case you don't they provide vaginal intercourse and oral sex for a fee.

BBBJ has to be negotiated if you want it to be guaranteed,my experience has been without negotiating it to be about 50/50 recently, just ask them they aren't bashful trust me.

CIM is a whole different thing and is rare but can be had but that usually takes multiple sessions with the right girl as most won't do it under any circumstances. I only have three chicas that I have found in all of POP that would do CIM and I will only share the name of one of them and only to senior members, they probably know already anyways though as she has been at BB's a long time. The other two no longer work at BB's and they are my "private stock".

Normal service provided is oral (covered or not) and covered FS (multiple positions).

If BBBJ or CIM or any other service (ie. Anal, Multiple Shots on Goal, etc.) is important to you, it is best to discuss it up front with the chica herself, or if you are uncomfortable with that, talk with the mamason.

BBBJ or CIM normally would not require extra payment above and beyond the standard 1500 peso ST or 3000 TLN, but some may ask for more. Other services might be extra and should definitely be discussed beforehand. A good rule of thumb is that if it is something that is important to you, discuss it first. Disapointments happen when you assume.

Business is down right now for the chicas and because of that I believe you will find them to be a bit more accomodating to these requests. I don't know if this is good or not, but it is the situation they are in right now.

Correct. In fact the entrance to FoD is almost directly opposite that gate, on the other side of the main road. That gate is sometimes known as the Puerta de Servicios as it is used by service vehicles and staff and rarely by the hotel guests.

Just got back last night from POP.
The familiar blue and white FOD sign was changed to a seashell-shaped sign that I recall as greenish.

Seashell shape was pretty distinctive.

Young guy here 25 age

Was wondering when is the best time for a rookie like myself to go to Pop

How much $$ should I have to spend if I plan to leave a Thursday from NYC and come back on a Monday

And is a rental a good thing. This time of year is normally high tourist season. Tourism is way, way, down, however, I suspect due to the US economy. Therefore, there are bargains to be had.

Rental a good thing?. Depends on the rental. If you are here for just a few days, there are plenty of places to stay that won't cost a lot.

Money: I would estimate a room will cost between $30 and $60 a night, food: $15-$20 per day. Chicas: depends, but $100-$150 a night should make you happy. You could get by on less, but it takes some hunting. Drinks are about $2.

Depends a lot on you.
Taste in women, accomodations, etc. Spanish ability?
Do you enjoy fishing for your own or just "eating fish"?
In POP, for a first-timer, probably BlackBeards.
Accomodations, $55-$65 night.
Meals, average $10
Beer, $3
Girls, $45 for 1-2 hours; $85 overnight

I have seen her a couple of times around the bars since. I hope it's the start many favorable reports from satisfied customers. Let know man leave the DR without a story worthy of ISG!

This is Ed, Head Man Chief Cook and Bottle Washer of TheManTour.net. Yep, we're new and just getting started on the North Coast of the DR. We cover activities in Puerto Plata, Sosua, and Cabarete. I had been thinking about the need for a "Man Tour" for quite some time. Our mission: Man Fun.

My history: I got sick of corporate America and of being in a bad 20-year marriage. I met a fantastic lady on a mongering trip and now have two great Dominican/American kids. I've been living in the DR for 3 years and employ 5 other "extranjeros" who make business to business cold calls to businesses in the US to set up appointments for outside sales reps there.

Now that my Spanish is fluent and I found partners to help with the startup costs, I have been able to launch "The Man Tour". I won't tell you all about it here, except to say that I plan to write a classified ad to place in the proper sections of this forum. In addition to acting as tour guides for mongers, we offer airport pickup/drop off service from Puerto Plata airport to/from Puerto Plata.

The company is in it's infancy and very much under development, but here are a couple of rules we plan to follow:

1) You will get value for your money.

2) You will never pay more for a product or service if you buy it on The Man Tour, then you would have paid if you went by yourself.

#1 should be obvious, but there are a lot of tourist type propositions around the world (and here in the DR) which I consider a total ripoff.

#2 is important because there are many tour "guides" who do nothing more than take you to overpriced places and share the exorbitant price with the establishment owner in the form of a kickback. (Ever see a tourist couple drinking great big drinks out of a coconut accompanied by a local "guide"?) In fact, when I was first setting up The Man Tour, there were several establishment owners who suggested just that. That's exploitation, and we won't do it.

On the other hand, taxi drivers do get a commission when they bring prospective clients to some girlie clubs. (Do you remember your taxi driver ever hanging around the club with you then talking to the management off in the corner? He's waiting for you to score a girl so he can collect his commission.) In most cases the client pays no more to the establishment whether he was brought there by a taxi driver or got there under his own steam. The Man Tour does collect commission in this case, which is a profitable item for us and also lets us keep the cost of the actual tour down. It's a win-win for everybody.

Thanks again for the mention, Billy.

Got your calculator?Kid, I agree with Yanqui regarding BlackBeards for a short tour, especially for a first timer. If by rentals you meant apt/condo rentals? Forget it. Not for a long weekend. In Sosua, you should play it safe and stay at the New Garden Hotel. Sosua is the ONLY place for you to be if you aren't interested in BB's. The only thing I differ with Yanqui is that a really robust dinner at BB's will run you around $20. 00. However, I ate great breakfasts there for maybe $12. 00 with a small tip included. Pay cash as you go and avoid using your credit card at BB's but OK to use elsewhere when eating out or buying shit.

Just a heads up, the taxi union is very jealous of the POP airport pick-up monopoly and they can get very unpleasant. If you are planning on doing it frequently they will notice and make you an offer you can't refuse.

The lower the frequency, the use of different people, anything to make it less obvious to the taxi drivers waiting there will be in your interest if you try this.

And is a rental a good thing.Airline prices are high around major holidays, Christmas and Easter. Use Kayak.com or Orbitz.com to compare airline prices. Jetblue had prices last october for $311 round trip from JFK airport, New York. Try different dates in the above sites to get an idea when the airline prices go down. If you use American Airlines, they have connections through Miami and San Juan Airports, some guys hate Miami airport because of the long walks between some gates. Keep in mind that if you fly with American Airlines with a connection in San Juan, if your plane is late leaving New York, American airlines usually has only one flight to Puerto Plata from San Juan per day. If you are late getting into San Juan (and the connecting flight to Puerto Plata has departed), then either you have to sleep overnight in San Juan or take a flight into San Domingo and then a bus ride to Puerto Plata. Direct flights are best, but are usually more money.

Rental car about $220 for 7 days, I would suggest you pay extra for the third party liability insurance, in case the car hits a person (usually an extra 5 dollars per day).

On my recent trip to the DR one of the things that pissed me off was the exorbent charge to get from the airport to BC. It was bad enough to pay $25 for the short trip to my hotel, but the smart ass remarks from the drivers when I balked at the fee,and then to top it off the asking for a tip was the final straw. These guys will not be happy with a new guy on the block.

Everybody has the right to make a living but these guys are absolute crooks. On my most recent trip to Santo Domingo I had a taxi driver try to charge me 3500 pesos to go from the airport to the Jaragua hotel about a 25 minute drive. I almost went to jail that night because I wanted to kill him for insulting my intelligence to such a degree. Thank God I had a chica with me because she kept me from punching this guy and I definitely know better than that.

There are a couple (Viktor and Alberto) here in Puerto Plata working for the Techi-Taxi agency who are reliable and charge fixed, reasonable prices. Very pleasant and helpful in other ways, too, especially considering I don't give them much business.

But generally I would agree with your comment.

So the best thing is to just hire car, right? Shouldn't be a problem if I'm already experienced with the road chaos of the developing world, correct?I usually rent a car in Dom Rep. I usually rent from Alamo/National and choose the optional tire/glass insurance for an extra 3 dollars per day and the third party liability insurance for about an extra 5 dollars per day. (Avis tried to charge me over 300 dollars for a blown tire and the Avis office in Puerto Plata always tried to charge me more than the price I received when I made the reservation online). My Mastercard credit card provides coverage for Loss Damage Waiver, in case the vehicle is stolen. Most rental car companies will put a 1000 dollar hold on your credit card at the time of rental. Alamo has some coupons that you can find online that will save you some money on the rental.

Whenever you use a credit card in the Dominican Republic always study your credit card statement afterwards. I had to cancel at least 5 credit cards after using them in the Dominican Republic, when bogus charges started appearing on my cards. (I know at least two other guys whose cards where used fraudulently after traveling to Dom Rep and have read posts where this happened to other people). Appears some people get the information from the credit card and then clone the card. Someone was making purchases in Mexico with my card and I haven't been in Mexico in 20 years. A friend of mine had charges on his credit card from Germany, after he traveled to Dom Rep.

Good idea to call your credit card company before you travel and tell them you will be using your card in the Dominican Republic.

Just an additional thought if you have the inclination and nerves to drive here.

I have gotten very good rates with the website http://www.vacationoutlet.com/car in both Puerto Plata and Santiago. I stick only with the well known rental car companies.

I always bring down a stash of $1 bills for tip purposes and my best "investment" of a couple of those bucks is to tip the guy who checks out my rental car for scratches and dents as I pick up the car. I am constantly amaized at how many scratches and dents they find for 2 bucks. I have never had a problem with the rental car company hitting me up for fraudulent damage because of this. I use my credit card for loss damage waiver and get the third party liability also. I have never purchased the tire damage waiver and always figured if I had a flat I could take care of it before I returned the car.

I also do the trick of calling my credit card company before I leave to let them know when I will be down and back. I also only use my credit card for rental car and gas. Cash is King in the DR and that is what I use for everything else.

Cash is King in the DR and that is what I use for everything else.Thanks. As far as I know the rental car companies in Dominican Republic are independently owned franchises of the major car rental companies. The main office in the United States can help resolve problems. I am just about 100% certain that someone in the car rental office of a major car rental company in the Dominican Republic was the one who gave my credit card information to use fraudulently. I know two other guys who only used their credit card for a car rental at that company and they too had fraudulent charges appear on their cards. I complained to the main office of the company here in the United States and maybe they have resolved this situation. I have read posts where people had problems with their credit cards after using their cards in the Zona Colonial in Santo Domingo. I suspect one particular bar in Zona Colonial, compromised my card after I used my credit card to pay for drinks at that bar, I was with a group of five people and the bar tab was high so I used my credit card.

I usually try to use only cash (Most of the larger Hotels where I have used my credit card, there have been no problems). One possible advantage to using a credit card to pay for a room is that some credit cards provide a sort of renters insurance. I guess how it works is if you use a particular credit card to pay for a room and something is stolen from the room, then possibly the credit card company will reimburse you for the loss.

The two tires that I had go bad, were beyond repair. I had a tire go bad on a Chevrolet Aveo while I was on the highway from Santiago to Santo Domingo, I pulled over quick after I heard the tire go flat. The outer part of the tire had completely separated along the sidewalls.

The one advantage for me with using the same car rental company is that after numerous trips I know most of the people who work at the car rental company. I will usually give them a tip or a small gift, sometimes works for getting a bigger car for the price of a smaller car. I never had a problem with them trying to charge me for damage to the car. Every time I rent a car here in the United States, I am given a non-smoking car (Most rental cars here in the United States are non-smoking). The rental cars in the Dominican Republic you can smoke.

So the best thing is to just hire car, right? Shouldn't be a problem if I'm already experienced with the road chaos of the developing world, correct?

There have been some good posts already on the subject of rentals.
My two cents:

Stick with national companies. If a locally-owned business rips you off and tells you to go to hell, you're stuck.
With a national franchise you can take it up with the company after you get back.

I have had very good experiences with the Budget office out of the POP airport.
Always get the liability insurance in case some idiot on a motoconcho or local rust bucket causes an accident YOU have to pay for.

I always use the insurance that my credit card offers.
Once had an idiot on a motoconcho slam into me as I started to make a left turn from the left lane. (AFTER signalling the turn).
(Moron was rocketing past trying to pass and slammed into my left side).
Repairs were charged to the card initially, but the credit card rental car insurance covered it. Shit and motoconchos happen.

Tips to the guy that issues cars and checks for damage is a good practice.

Make all turns, lane changes gradually, to allow idiots you can't see to adjust.

make all turns, lane changes gradually, to allow idiots you can't see to adjust.

drive super defensively; as they say, "watch out for the other guy. "luckily i have not been in any car accidents in the dominican republic. a few times when i wasn't paying attention i almost caused two accidents.

drive defensively and expect the unexpected. my last trip on the highway from la vega to santo domingo (it is two lanes each direction), i had a car coming at me at 40 mph going the wrong way in my lane with a bus to my left. eventually i was able to change lanes and the car going the wrong way just kept going in the wrong direction on the highway at night. i have seen that before on this highway, a car going in the wrong direction at night.

driving between puerto plata and sosua, you have to watch out for horses. one night a black horse was in the middle of the road near playa dorada complex, it was not easy to see it and i had to hit the brakes hard and swerve to avoid hitting the horse. same thing happened on the new highway to samana, a horse on the highway at night. visibility at night on many roads is not great. sometimes you have to leave the high beams on to be able to c.

the road to sosua from puerto plata is one lane each direction. on the sides of most roads are deep gulley's for when it rains. one time i was driving from sosua to puerto plata and i was near the sugar cane fields, it was around 5pm so there were alot of cars on the road. two big trucks decided to pass other vehicles in the opposite direction of travel, one truck passed the vehicles and returned to his lane of traffic, the other truck had not finished passing and he was in my lane coming right at me. there is not much of a shoulder and then you have to worry about the deep gully to the side of the road. i pulled as far over to the right into the shoulder as i could and the truck passed me while still in my lane going in the opposite direction of travel.

you will not be able to see all the potholes at night. i have hit plenty of potholes at night at speed and was amazed the tires never blew out.

alcohol could play a part when you see people drive stupidly in the dominican republic. one time a chica in santiago wanted me to follow her with my car, she was drunk, i tried to stop her from driving, but she insisted. she made a left turn onto avenida sadhalla estrella from overlounge, going the wrong way and that road at that location has a concrete barrier separating the lanes, luckily she made it home safe.

in the fields near sosua there is a bull that will come after cars, if you drive on one of the very small side roads there.

now i drive relatively slow and take it easy.

This is where you went wrong. Dominicans rarely, if ever, signal. 90% of the few vehicles you see signalling will be driven by foreigners.

If they see you are a foreigner they may plough into you expecting to reap rich rewards of compensation or excessive damages, maybe a new moto.

Checked out BB and did not like the area, far away from everything with no A/C and old looking rooms. On my way back to Playa Dorado the taxi driver took me to FOD. Got a very nice room with A/C large flat screen TV. CLEAN

The rate is $60 and worked a deal for airport drop off($15). They told me the VIP program is gone the owner kick them off the property. With Playa Dorado across the street I have everything for a 200 peso taxi ride I need that I can't get here. Talked with one guy yesterday who rented a room for 600 pesos for 4 hours, he also was staying at Playa Dorado. He told me that he always stays in a all inclusive and just gets a taxi across the street when he waits to.

This place is first class, the staff speaks english and are willing to help book tours and talk with the taxi drivers for you. I now know why it is called the Field Of Dreams.

I was in the Sosua Car Wash one night and some kind guy pulled in on a 125cc motorcycle. He ordered a bottle of Brugal rum and was chugging the rum. Imagine, then, the surprise of the poor woman who was his passenger!
They both went sliding down the asphalt, for about 20-30 feet.
She ended up with a nasty road rash.

Thanks to the quick thinking of my companion, we took her and the "idiot" to a local clinic, which, (in contrast to a hospital) was not obliged to involve the police, so I got off lucky in that sense. No corrupt cops.

Yes, I imagine even Dominican montoconchistas wouldn't deliberately try that stunt with a passenger on board. You did the right (and sensible) thing taking them to the clinic. Glad to hear it worked out OK for you.

800 pesos? Surely you jest.

The female passenger got x-rays and got some serious bandaging for the injury to the leg. The idiot got an exam and some treatment bandaging for minor injuries.

I was sweating bullets, thinking of an emergency room medical bill in the states.

In the end, medical treatment for the both was under $100 US.
And I was so damned relieved, don't think I tried to haggle with the doctor!

Accomodation-wise, FOD is a very nice place.
Have eaten there and the food and bar were fine.
Good location too.
Only major difference is the chica situation.
Obviously BB heavily promotes the chicas and is way ahead there.

FOD is quieter, fewer chicas on-site, but if they ever choose to initiate a similar chica arrangement, they would be on equal par with BB.

I wish both establishments luck, as such an arrangement would be good for both chicas and customers.

Hey I need some help!

Planning my first trip to Pop and ima travel alone!

Was wondering for a first timer as myself who speaks no spanish

Should I stay at FOD or BB?

Also if I do stay at either one can I go to the second one and get a room for a few to bang a sexy chica!

Do the girls who work there have there own room where they can service cliental?

I need a room with Ac.All of BB's rooms have A/C and the American owner installed an $18, 000 generator to power his whole facility during the frequent blackouts down there. BB's policy is that if you're not staying there as a guest you are certainly welcome to enter to eat/drink at his bar and restaraunt. If you want to take a girl out you need to pay a reasonable bar fine. I forget how much that is but its probably less than $30 USD. BB's allows you to bring in beach girls, if there are any, into his place no problem. Girls at BB's do not live there. There are 2 "shifts". Day shift swishes into work around 1100 and night shift does same at 1800 hours. The girls have a locker room where they can change and grab a towel when you are ready to bring them up to your room. The girls are considered independant contractors but the fee they can charge is strictly set by the owner at roughly $35-40 short time, and about $80. 00 all night (not worth it IMHO). As far as, "getting a room for a few", that all depends on room availability when you arrive. The cheapest room at BB's is $55-60 USD per night. Don't just walk into BB's expecting to find a room without a reservation, yet if you do, and they have room, you won't have any problems paying at the door so to speak.

Finally, I can't comment on FOD as I haven't been there but I will be stopping by there to check it out on 12/30 during my vacation. The 2 locations are about 25 minutes apart by auto. I'm already reserved for BB's for most of my upcoming stay. Take care and be well.

I need a room with Ac.

Both places have A/C. I don't know why this subject became a discussion. A while back BBs had no A/C when the normal power went out, but that has long since been remedied.

Traveling alone and speaking no Spanish, I would point you in the direction of BBs. FOD is great, but more selection at BBs and for the first timer, very easy to navigate.

You can bring chicas to and take them out of both places. BBs has a "salida" or exit fee for girls that work there, and leave with guys not staying at BBs of 800 pesos, I don't believe FOD has such a fee. If you bring in outside girls, make sure they have a valid cedula (identification card). This is for your protection, believe me.

You will need to rent a room at either place if you want to do something on site, either short term or as a regular place for you to stay. The chicas come to your room for service.

Whichever place you go to, you are not making a mistake. Just treat the chicas with respect, sit down with them first and see if there is any chemistry and enjoy yourself.

My 2 cents,

P

I talked to Alberto (the owner) about this and he said in a few months there would be twenty chicas every day. I went back a second time and the average was closer to six or seven a day and a couple were good looking, especially one that sits at the bar alone every day, smoking hot. Both times I went I brought my own girls just in case and I am glad I did. Otherwise FOD is a really nice place. My recommendation to anyone without spanish speaking skills and/or chica contacts already established would be to go to BB's the first time.

They haven't been immune to the global economy and its effect on tourism, but they are doing pretty well. Been hard to get a room at times.

Wi-fi is available though I'm told connectivity to the rooms is poor, and you need to park in a seat in the lobby or restaurant/bar area.

Many urban centers with large Hispanic populations will have shipping services to latin american countries.
If you live in NY/NJ or Miami, no problem.

UPS is insanely expensive, but they do have service to DR.

Considering the expense, consider looking at local purchase.
(I know this may not apply to everything, but I found a local purchase of a microwave at Sirena department store cost about the same).
The cost of shipping on top of the price of a flat-screen tv from Best Buy was about the same as buying in DR.

Private shipping, or buy local.
Anyone else got anything? Would love to find out if there's something better.

There is a high risk that the product shipped do not reach its final destination. It will end on customs (on customs employee house), on a postal office (that really means postal office employee house) andif you are lucky to the person you intend to send the product.

If you send something you have to declare the items sent. If you send a polo do not write Lacoste polo, just write cotton polo. If the polo cost $80 dollars write $10 or $15 instead of $80. Describe the item as a gift to avoid taxes. Most products are going to be shipped to a local postal office, not to the person's house so the person has to pick to product to some place. The previous was an advise from a local.

Do not purchase something in the U.S. because it costs less with the intent of shipping it,you won't save anything and you risk it getting broken or it will disappear.

What's a reliable way to ship products from the states to PP? Like small electronics like TV, stereo, etc. Is it using UPS, FEDEX, USPS, or something alternative. I don't want to fly with these items because I fear breakage or customs issues. Any advice would be welcomed. Thanks in advance. My last trip to DR some guy at JFK at Jetblue had a 37 inch flat screen television with him that he was bringing to DR. Many Dominicans here in New York ship stuff to DR for reasonable prices. I'll find out the name of the shipping companies.

Not sure what the custom fees are in the Dom Rep if you bring into their country electronics gifts on the airplane. Usually there is a minimum amount that has to be reached before any duty (tax) is imposed. (Maybe a handshake with a 20 dollar bill with the customs person, may expedite things at the airport if you are bringing in good amount of stuff).

LG sells a lot of appliances in the Dom Rep, I don't recall seeing any other major name brand appliances for sale there.

Hello, everyone,

I just had a question about the blackbeards pool. In every picture I never see anyone in the pool, chicas or guys. If it 85.90 degerees, I would think more people would be in the pool. Also in every picture every guy has a shirt on(not that I want to see pictures of men without shirts)but again if its 85.90 I don't think I'll be wearing a shirt by the pool. Also, do the chicas only care about the money there getting regardless of what the guy looks like or do you think you would get more attention if you were a good looking guy who works out all the time? Thanks for any input!

After my first couple of trips to the DR I thought renting a car would be a good way to get around the (what I thought were) high taxi fares. I based this on the high taxi fare from the airport to my hotel, then assumed that all taxi fares would be high, all public transport would be not the way to go.

I couldn't have been more wrong. Yes, the taxi drivers do have a monopoly from the airport to your hotel. Also, when you get in a taxi to go anywhere else, and they can see you are a gringo, they will try to get a higher fare than market price. The taxi drivers also have a monopoly for fares leaving Costambar. So if you call a taxi from anywhere in Costambar, they will try to charge you more. If you are really cost-sensitive you can walk outside the Costambar gate and get a taxi or moto at market prices.

The defense: Know the correct prices and negotiate the fare before you step into the taxi. A taxi ride from one side of Puerto Plata to the other should cost about 150 pesos. Points in between should be correspondingly less. Motoconcho rides should be about 50 pesos from one side of town to the other with shorter trips correspondingly less.

The only reason I would ever rent a car here would be for a trips off the beaten path. If I was just going to bars/discos/chicas/restaurant/beach/hotel/airport, I would use public transport. Taxi and moto fares can be negotiated for the usual destinations and they are plentiful. For city/city trips, the way to go is Caribe Tours or Metro bus. The ride is air conditioned, and it costs less than $15US to go from PP all the way to Santo Domingo, plus you can meet chicas on the way.

Driving in the DR takes some getting used to. All the assumptions you grew up with are out the window. Running red lights, passing over double yellow lines, driving the wrong way, are common. So go slow (so other drivers can adjust), and keep your head on a swivel. You can treat red lights where there is little traffic, like stop signs. If you do rent a car, you will need all the insurance and damage wavers.

Driving at night: Driving within a city is ok, but unless you are a bus or truck driver, driving from city to city, (with the exception of Puerto Plata/Sosua) at night IS DANGEROUS. There are livestock on the road, huge unexpected potholes, and most other cars have headlights that not only are on "bright" but are often amped-up with after market parts that make them even more blinding to other drivers. (Vehicle safety standars are not enforced in the DR and this is what you get.) Add to that motorcycles without lights, put-put motos that can't get past 25 mph, and one-eyed broken down cars...

Take care,

I just had a couple of questions about Blackbeards pool. It seems in every picture I have seen, nobody is ever in the pool. Isn't it like 85- 90 degrees, doesn't anybody go in the pool. Also in almost every picture every guy has a shirt on(not that I want to see men without shirts), but again if it's 85.90 degrees I don't think I would have a shirt on. Does anybody think it makes a difference to the girls if you were in really good shape and good looking or do the girls only care about making the money. Thanks for any answers!

hey boston. the pool is fine if not a little small. it might be that some guys are sensitive to the sun so they prefer to keep their skin covered. it might be that some guys got thrown into the pool with their shirts on. i suppose some guys might be embarrassed with their beer guts and flabby man tits, but hey, we're all gonna die anyway, so what's the big deal.
the girls are people too. money comes first for them of course. they need to eat and feed their kids. they sometimes can and do form slight attachments to guys who might look like dash riprock but if you just treat them like humans, they seem to open up to that even more. i'll be there in 2 more days. yippee!!

Haven't been there yet, so I may not be "entitled to an opinion"; but:

Could it be that "Barba Negra" has to be careful not to advertise the P4P attraction of his resort? He may have been advised that showing pretty chicas in the pool would "cut too close to the line," and give "The Law" an excuse to bear down on him for running a "disorderly house" (as a wh*rehouse used to be called in American courtroom language).

Whereas none of us really want to have the pool shown full of chunky guys in wet T-shirts, do we?

I have been down several times, one time the pool was closed and it was July and around 95 degrees (well I wont get into that). Guys do hang around the pool w/o the shirt and read as well as sun bath with a drink.

The girls will get in on their own, but keep in mind I get texts that it is muy frio and I look at the current weather in POP and it is 78 degrees. One of the things I learned about the girls and the pool is often they are waiting to be asked into the pool but also keep in mind by doing that you maybe moving towards the room in her mind.

As far as looks I am sure it helps but money is king and they expect that from everyone! The advice below is the best...treat them like you would a woman you like in the states and that will get you several steps ahead because you will not believe how badly they get treated by some, every time I go down I come back with a story or two from what I see and hear.

If you want easy access to casino's,fancy restaurants and golf courses then FOD is better because Playa Dorada is across the street. But you better not need to buy the simple things like toothpaste or a bottle of soda or something because there isn't any stores nearby.

If you want a decent beach a stones throw away and some decent restaurants with some local flavor,a general store, pharmacy etc. all within walking distance then BB's is your place. In addition there is a local karaoke bar where some of the waitresses and working girls go on their days off close by too,a real good place to party at night.

I have been to both places a bunch of times and BB's gets my vote.

This works fine if what you're bringing in is stored in your luggage. If your bringing in a tv then it's likely it'll be noticed.
A few years ago I was told by someone on another board that I could bring in a tv during Christmas and, using my residency, would be exempt from paying taxes. I brought in a 32" flat screen and was stopped, had to pay 500+ dollars (only cause I didn't produce the receipt and claimed the value at $500+ instead of the $900.00 it actually cost) and was rightly pissed off. So, a $900.00 tv cost me $1,400.00 in the end.

I was in LaSirena in POP a few weeks ago (purchasing a microwave oven to replace one I had purchased only a year ago) and saw Panasonics, Sharps, Sony's and, I believe, Samsung tv's. You'll pay more for electronics in the DR than you would in the states but, if you factor in the addition of import taxes when bringing an item in from the states, it is ultimately cheaper to purchase in the DR.
On the other hand, I question the quality of shit bought in the DR. Things purchased there don't seem to last very long.

Happy New Year.

Having lived in the Caribbean for 30 + years, I would NOT reccomend buying appliances here. Yup. The price is low, however in my experience, in many cases. The West Indies has been a dumping ground for low quality goods, seconds, rejects, out of date items.

There are some wonderful values/bargains throughout the West Indies but low cost appliances is not one of them. When you factor in packing, shipping, handling, customs. The bargain factor gets smaller.

Lastly, when. (not If but when) the applicance breaks down, it might be a bit difficult to return it to the place you bought it from for warranty repair. Of course, if you live here, you simply replace items as they break down. I. E buy a next low cost refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher.

Forget who provided the quote. " the sweetness of low price is soon replaced by the bitterness of poor quality. "

A friendly consumer message from Strato

Last time I checked, they charged $45 from POP airport to BB. (about 11 miles). Add 3-4 miles fare to get from BB to Sosua.

Given the ripoff rates the Costambar taxi monopoly charges, look for creative ways to avoid taking a taxi from Costambar.
I have found that renting a national agency car (ie, Budget) costs me roughly 30 dollars a day, though late night drinking trips to Sosua might not make that a good idea.

Can I negotiate price with girls in BB or is it a set rate?

As previously mentioned, about 1-2 hours.

Can I negotiate price with girls in BB or is it a set rate?.

Actually you can negotiate prices with them as the party line with BBs is that the rates of 1500 pesos ST and 3000 pesos TLN (all night-two pops minimum, evening and morning) are the MAXIMUM the chicas can charge. But really, this translates to about $40 US and $80 US respectively. Are we that hard up that we need to knock them down in price??? I like others may tip for good service on top of that, or treat them to a meal or a couple cervesa's.

Word gets out quick with the chicas who the nice guys are and who the "cheap Charlie's" are. You get treated better if you are a nice guy.

Another dumb thing about the P4P services here, don't grossly overpay either. Then the chicas think you are a patsy and that is not a good thing either.

Also anyone got any coupons or rate codes to probably get me a cheaper rate from JFK to POP.

There are a couple of websites that will track airfares and let you know if they come down. I can't think of them right now, but I am sure others can chime in or google for it. From memory, JFK to POP is American Airlines, JetBlue and Delta. Keep an eye on those three.

My 2 cents,

P

Xman,

No offense but this is a pretty broad question and the standard answer is RTFF.

There is a thread for the DR just on Sosua hotels. Go back 20 or more pages in the Sosua, Puerto Plata, Santo Domingo and especially the Reports of Distinction threads to get a flavor of where you might want to go here in the DR. Then if you have a more specific question, feel free to post. Most of the questions for the newbies have been addressed multiple times. I know it takes some work, but believe me, it is worth it.

Good luck and I hope you enjoy the DR when you do decide to visit.

The girls are not allowed to charge more than 1500 pesos for ST and expect exactly that. Anybody that tries to knock the price down lower than that is a f**king douchebag if you ask me. If I have a decent session with a girl I either tip her or offer to buy her a meal or a couple of drinks. I go to places like BB's to have a good time and party and the prices for chicas at BB's is already a reasonable rate so why ruin the good time by turning a vacation into a "business" trip over a few dollars. That is not to say one should throw their money around but the girls have bills to pay too for christsakes.

The fact that you have to ask a dumbass question like that rather undermines your authority as an expert on puta prices in the Puerto Plata area.

I live in Puerto Plata and I can assure you that standard prices for ST here are 500 to 1000 pesos. Bearing in mind the cost of the facilities and the ambiance at Barba Negra, 1500 is certainly a fair price but "bargain basement" it is not.

I have no quarrel with Manizales, one of our top posters, but "class" has nothing to do with the amount of money being spent. That misconception is only held by those who don't have any class.

I think the prices at BB's are good. It is easy to budget. Yes you can get it for less if you are willing to hunt for it. My time is limited so I am willing to pay a little more to experience more. ST is just that. 2 hours or one pop is the standard. Standard TLN is one pop at night and one in the morning. I (and others) have gotten more than that depending on various factors. Why? Because there are 1001 ripoffs out there when you are new to a scene, regardless of your experience.

- Chicas who are great in the bar, but whip out a stop watch and rule book when you get them to the room, or worse try to scam you.

- Bartenders, taxi drivers, street venders, store clerks, waitresses,. Who will short change you/charge too much/you name it these folks are creative

Sure, you can prevent some of the above by reading up on the forums, getting 3 estimates for everything, going to the right places at the right times. Even after years of mongering, though, I still get "learning experiences".

I would rather spend my time having fun than worrying about all that. Having someone local you can trust who knows the players, prices, and scams is worth it's weight in gold. Ed, the guy who runs the tour is an American in his 50's and an experienced monger who speaks fluent Spanish. He knows the owners of the establishments, the chicas, the street venders, bar tenders, waitresses, police, con artists, and people don't try to rip him off because they know he will be there tomorrow and the next day. He's not just a tourist who they can cheat and forget about. I even had him negotiate chica prices and services for us with great results. Doing it yourself throws cold water on an otherwise hot date and potential GFE.

I wish there was a similar service everywhere I go! It would have saved me a LOT of money and headache. My biggest hurdle was getting past my own pride to accept some outside advice and assistance. Relax, pay the $65, and let someone else do the driving and dealing with the BS. It's also great have someone sober to drive you back to the hotel at the end of the evening.

That misconception is only held by those who don't have any class.I never mentioned "class" in my post and my reference to anyone being a douchebag for trying to get the price down lower than 1500 was clearly referencing the girls at BB's. If you can get QUALITY for 500 pesos go ahead, knock yourself out.

She's right there, a few yards from your room. And isn't a "Blackbeard's Girl" (if I can put it that way) at least vetted by the management? Or at least by the mama-san? This could be worth the few extra dollars. To me, at least.

I go to places like BB's to have a good time and party and the prices for chicas at BB's is already a reasonable rate so why ruin the good time by turning a vacation into a "business" trip over a few dollars. That is not to say one should throw their money around but the girls have bills to pay too.As a first-timer to DomRep, I would like to make things "as easy as possible, " and BB or FOD sound very "easy" for me. If I pay a premium for the convenience of Blacbeard's, I think it'll be worth it.

Charles, as a local, you know the girls and they know you. When it comes to "the price of poontang F. O. B. Puerto Plata, " you're certain to out-do the tourists. When I do get to visit. Soon, I hope!. I would very much value the chance to "fly wingman" with you and learn from your experience.

Cheers,

I have no problem with the prices at BB.
Yes, indeed you can find sex for less on the streets. That is bargain basement, but bargain basement is often hit or miss.
Sometimes a good experience, sometimes not so good. (Read some of the horror stories in the Sosua thread).
You are in part paying for a certain "quality control" that ensures you have a good expectation of a good experience everytime. You know that the girl has had a monthly medical checkup, no thieves, no crazies, no druggies, etc.

Additionally, a local girl working at her leisure doesn't have any overhead to pay for, either. BB has certain mandatory requirements like dress codes, grooming, monthly dues to pay the salary of the mamasan, etc.
Among the normal "overhead" for clothes, hair, girls that don't live in Puerto Plata also have to rent a small place locally, - (many rent small apartments in Costambar).
So I consider the equivalent of $40 ST, $80 Overnight to be quite acceptable.

I agree with Manizalez in that anyone who can afford to travel just for sex should not be fighting over a difference of $15 with a woman living at a level well below his. It is a myth that the one who dies having exploited the most people wins.
(Unnecessary insults aren't a sign of class, either).

While I do not reside in POP, let me add that Charles is on the money. While visiting, I have met a girl or two :) on the street, and RD$500 to RD$1,000 was the rate. Now, as Charles added, the house was nice but not like BB's operation. Of course, she did treat me to lunch following our interaction.

Meese my man I see your new here but do your homework. Go over some of the past posts to get most of the info you need. 45pesos is just over one dollar, do you think a girl will screw for a dollar?Funny. You comediaaaan!

Discussion is about taxis. I've been to plenty of places in the developing world where a tax ride of these distances is a buck or two.

God, I'd never do a screw for 45 pesos, let alone $45. Ha!

I'm an experienced monger and I would argue just the opposite – it's the experienced guys who know it makes sense to go with a service like the man tour. Why? Because there are 1001 ripoffs out there when you are new to a scene, regardless of your experience........

Billy B

Billy B and Mantour Guy,

Here I go again, stepping into a pile of sh*t, but I just felt I needed to pop in with my unsolicited 2 cents on this.

This report and the others posted by you both feel to me a bit like ads for the business under the guise of a report. Frankly, I don't know if both of you are in fact one in the same person. I say this for a couple reasons.

First off, you are a new business and the only person with a report on the place has less than 5 reports total on the board. Even the Mantour guy has only a few. It is all too easy and has happened in the past where newbies sign up to the board and start hawking their services under the pretence of a report. (Nothing against newbies here, we were all newbies once!)

Second, there is a thread for those wanting to advertise their business and it is called the Classified Ads. Anything posted there is obviously from someone trying to push one business or another, but it sure does not look like you are a shill trying to post a report that is thinly disguised as a regular report.

Please understand where I come from, I have no problem with anyone pushing his or her business and trying to make a living. There are just ways to do it without looking like, well, a shill. I guess the older I get, the more jaded I become.

I would LOVE to hear more about the business from someone on the board with more than 25 posts. There are a lot of well-respected guys on this board who would give an unbiased opinion of the service offered.

Before everyone jumps on me for lobbying for a freebie or being the guinea pig, I am the wrong guy for that. I already have my comfort zone down here and I don't have time to mess around with this on upcoming visits. Believe it or not, I think a service like this has some merit, especially for that AI guy needing to have his hand held on an afternoon or evening away from home base. FOD is another good place for that and in close proximity to the AI's.

I don't want to start a flame war here, but to me there is an 800-pound gorilla in the room housing the ManTour and I guess I just wanted to recognize it. My suggestion is to offer someone (other than myself - please) a freebie who is respected on the board and have them give their unbiased opinion. Look at how BBs, FOD, Passions and the like handle things here. They let the customers tell of their experiences and only chime in when there is an issue that needs to be clarified. Otherwise they let their customers do the talking, and I for one respect that.

Believe me, that will go a much longer way to pushing your business.

Billy B and Mantour Guy.Could be a useful service for guys new to the Dominican Republic. I read their webpage, they offer two tours, one starting at 10am going to 4pm and the other starting at 8pm going till 1-2am. Their webpage states group sizes are from 4-6 guys plus the guide. Prices for both tours 75 US Dollars each, with presidente beer in the vehicle and a meal at some roadside restaurant.

I would want to know what type of vehicle they use, 7 guys in the same vehicle? Or do they use two cars? Problem with traveling with 6 other guys in the same vehicle is that one or two guys may like a particular venue and the other guys may want to see a different place. Who decides how long you stay at each venue? Another question is whether there is a minimum number of guys that have to go on the tour in order for the tour to go forward or will the owner operate the tour with only one paid customer.

Interesting to know what venues with chicas are open at 10am on a Tuesday morning in Puerto Plata (besides FOD and BB). I would think most non-pro type places would be better Friday and Saturday nights.

I went to some of the discos the Man Tour goes to over Christmas. You certainly wouldn't want to go alone to some of these places. Paying the 75 dollars for the service and having the extra people there would be wise. We were definately the only Gringos there at some of the places we went.

Manizales, please read what I wrote. I said my post was not aimed at you but at someone who hasn't got a clue whether RD$45 or US$45 was the more likely price for a taxi to Blackbeards but then has the nerve to add his opinion on what is the correct price for pussy.

And I agreed that RD$1500 was a fair price for ST at Blackbeards, given the safe and agreeable environment they provide.

No, you did not mention "class" but he did, implying that paying more is classy. No doubt he thinks that "making it rain" in Classicos is the height of good taste.

Yes, I have had quality at least equal to most on view at Blackbeards for 500 pesos. Not often, because I don't do ST often. I like to spend at least 12/16 hours with a nice chica at a time and this I have done many times for 1000 pesos. I am not talking about street hookers, though I did have a quite attractive and clean one two weeks ago on successive days for 300 pesos ST (which included her doing my ironing).

She was an exception as I usually go for "semi-pros". Yes, there is more of a "pot-luck" aspect, but I accept being disappointed 25% of the time because the girl hasn't got the technical skills or feels uncomfortable with fucking a gringo or for whatever reason because the other 75% I get a far more GFE experience than by fucking hard-core w h o r e s in a brothel like Barba Negra.

Not that I want to criticise BB. I would always recommend it as first stop for newbies, and I do. It was during my stay at Blackbeards that I fell in love with the DR and planned to immigrate here. It took four years but I'm here now, and it's great, so I have a lot to thank BB for!

Peace and out!

You are likely to pay cheaper prices, make more useful contacts* and have a better all-round experience by mixing with locals.

Believe me, that will go a much longer way to pushing your business.Actually the mention The Man Tour got on ISG took me off guard. I initially found out about the DR through forums, but kind of forgot about them after I starting coming here regularly then stopped reading them completely when I moved here and didn't have enough money to travel anywhere else anyway, plus had all the pussy I could handle right here.

I had been targetting The Man Tour to all those poor bastards who take all-inclusive vacations nearby (Playa Dorada, the Riu hotels, etc.) and have no idea they are only a cab ride away from true paradise. (I used to be one of those all-inclusive goers by the way. It sucks to be in a bad marriage in the USA nookie desert.)

I have had some success with the All-Inclusive crowd, but after getting mentioned here, I started getting a lot of interest from "mongers". It turns out there are some reasons why even experienced guys would want to take The Man Tour.

As a result of the interest, (and just the fact that I am gaining more experience and insight), I am rewriting the web site and changing pricing, discounts, and details of the tours. When that's done, I will be putting a classified ad here, and on other forums, and will be encouraging Man Tour customers to write reports about their experiences.

Nope, I'm not going to spam the forums. I agree with you that the best way to interact with them is as you describe BBs, FOD, and Passions do.

I suggest an itinerary and it's a joint decision as to where we actually go and how long we stay. Of course, we are chica-hunting so if we don't like the prospects at location X, we move along to location Y. I don't have a minimum right now, but probably will at some point in the future. I'm redoing pricing with quantity breaks for more people and different prices for Puerto Plata vs. Sosua. Also will be offering an airport pickup/dropoff option. I have some good ideas for a day tour, but I'm dropping it for now due to lack of demand.

Do they treat him like they would a gringo in Playa Dorada (or another tourist trap), or like another Joe at the bar? I get a mix of reactions, from "my friiiiend my friiiend" to "just another Joe".

One surprise for me. They don't react like you would expect in a similar situation in the states. Imagine walking into a local bar in any rural community and immediately having all the girls gravitate to you instead of the locals. I would be expecting someone to want to kick my ass. No so in the DR. The worst I've had so far is having questionable looking beggars in the street ask for money.

Wow, that Billy be is some kind of writer. 2 reports, both on M*ntour and they both end up in the Reports of Distinction. Amazing. What are the odds of that happening? And the second report listed by someone with now 7 reports total, runs the M*ntour and said he would not spam the forum to shill his services.

I guess not spamming the forum only related to the Puerto Plata thread. Now I can look forward to M*ntour listing all mentions of his service, whether by real board members or those "One Post Wonders", now finding its way into the Reports of Distinction thread.

I am staying in confresi this Thursday and Friday, then on to bb from Saturday until Tuesday, and then Sosua for Tuesday and Wednesday. My question is while in Confresi what are my best bets for some action? Cristals in puerto plata? Someone told me a cab ride to sosua will probably run me $60 both ways, so I was wonderring a better alternative. My hotel in confresi is not chica friendly. Apparently I'm only 10 minutes from bb, but can you just stop in there for action, or do you need to be staying there?

I thought he was bullshitting and just shaking the table but the glasses at the bar started falling all over the f**king place, then the ground started to pitch and roll holy fuck. Then I looked at the pool and the water was swishing around like a son of a *****. The chicas were freeked the hell out I tell you. More later.

You are correct, BBs is only 10 minutes from Confresi. You can stop in there for some action, but if you take them off site there is an exit fee ("salida") of 800 pesos if I remember correctly (about $24 USD). Since your hotel is not chica friendly, there are a number of cabanas (short term hotels) right near by and very discreet for this sort of thing.

You can also see if they have a short time room at BBs available and then you would not have to pay the "salida".

If you do take the girls off site, make sure you are clear on pricing expectations before you leave. The girls are only bound by the pricing structure while at BBs, and off site they can charge what they want.

I would let them know you have reservations at BBs for the upcoming days and maybe management will waive the fee. I wouldn't count on it though.

Enjoy yourself and write a trip report when you return.

There are also a number of roadside w h o r e bars between Cofresi and Puerto Plata like Escape, La Choza and El Ferry which are very close to cabañas.

I agree Barba Negra gives you the best selection if you can get the pricing right. But remember that you have to get in and out of Costambar, whereas if you stick to places along the main road you can do it all for a few dollars in public transport. A lot depends on the weather. It has been pissing down for weeks now. If it is like that I would stay warm and dry in Cofresi and watch a DVD!

You might do well contacting BBs via phone or email directly. If I remember correctly, there was a mention in one of their newsletters that they made arrangements with a local hotel for "overflow" when they are booked solid. I also believe that if you book through them for this that any "salida" for the chicas is waived.

I am going by memory here, so if other board members have different or more accurate info, please chime in.

Even if BBs can't help, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Hey Kid, I will be at BBs for a few days starting Feb 4. They are booked on Sat night Feb 5 but I got the last room a few weeks ago. The best alternative is FOD across from Playa Dorado. Chica friendly and chicas there as well. Look me up at BBs if you come by Feb 4-7.

You are incorrect,if you tell them in advance there are two people in your party they will charge you $60. each way. If you do not tell them that there are multiple people in the party they will charge each guest the $45. each way.

The local taxi mafia has their rates posted on a board when you step out of the terminal into their waiting arms. You can pack the taxi with as many guys and bags as will fit and the driver will take you to BB's for $45.00. And how do I know you ask? Because I WAS JUST THERE 3 weeks ago. Just tell your driver that its $45.00 and point to the sign. If he balks, start talking to the next driver in line, etc until you find one who isn't a scumbag thief. You won't be waiting long I assure you. You really don't need to use BB's drivers, though they are considered trustworthy. If its your 1st time and your worried then do it their way. If you're experienced then do it my way described above and save a few bucks. Enjoy.

Charles,

Tell me more about these bars. Prices? Quality? Exact locations...

I am always looking at alternatives.

Thanks.

PI can't tell you anything about El Ferry, I never heard of it. La Choza is about a mile outsI'de of Puerto Plata on the way to Santiago. It's right besI'de the Zona Franca and across the road from the university. They have Dominican prices for PresI'dente and Cuba Libres. You can even get a frosty Carona for Road$100. The there are about six "waitresses" working there, all of which can leave if you pay the salI'da. This runs between Road$300 and Road$500 depending on your negoitiating skills. The girs are passable, but nothing special. You can usually get ST for about Road$1000. There is one girl named Fabiola who is probably about a 6 but performance wise, she's a solid 11.

Escape is about a half mile farther down the road from La Coza on the same sI'de of the highway. It also has Dominican prices for booze. Most of the girls are the dregs of the P4P girls. Several, I'm sure, bark at the moon on a regulars basis. Some seriously nasty stuff. They have rooms there, but there is also a nice cabana across the street. The salI'da is Road$300 and depending on the day the chicas will charge you between RF$500 and Road$100 for short time. If you do go there, ask for Monica. She'll hurt you and you will thank her for days to come. She's not bad looking at all. Got a great body and is a real crowd pleaser.

Thanks, I know just where to look for these places. I will keep my eye out on my next trip.

I am a bit scared of this "bark at the moon" comment though..LOL

Any areas I should avoid in Sosua, Costambar or Puerto plata.

Any sexy girls who speak fluent english and where I can find them on a regular basis.

I cannot speak for the others, but I walked freely around Costambar by day and by night. In fact, I observed the taxi organization during its night games. Please note that I speak Spanish. Also, I would tend to avoid fluent English speakers among providers. In my limited experience, such tends to suggest a pro.

I guess I have been accused of something. I really don't visit the forums that often. Anyway, my reaction:.Whatever- I really don't care. It's not worth any more text.

Hardly a secret. Regardess of how the mag portrays it -they have to fill space you know - IMO, it's common knowledge to most people.

Women I know everywhere know that there are hundreds of completely straight all inclusives and independant resorts (think golf, eco, etc) throughout the country and if one wants to look for it, P4P.

Essence reported this back in 2006 and there is even a book called "Don't Blame It on Rio", focusing on Brazil of course, but "sisters" are well versed on the DR issue, essence is just rehashing an old topic.

Nah guys I read this article, this is different, it's 4 pages! Yes it is an old topic but......this article breaks everything down, I mean EVERYTHING!! It really goes into depth and just about every black woman or black beauty shop subscribes and reads this magazine. I already warned my married friends because this topic WILL come up in the black family household, especially if their husband or boyfriend went more then once. It's one thing to wonder what goes on, but it's another thing when some ***** ass writer takes 4 pages to explain the process. He captures every topic and leaves nothing out, from ticket prices, pesos exchanges, the golfing in the daytime, the clubs at night and even the many excuses used to go on vacation period. At first I was pissed off the first time I read it but then I thought hey fuk it, it won't stop anything. But trust me from my personal experience it will open the eyes to many curious wives and girlfriend and cause an issue.

THIS IS ONLY IN REFERENCE TO HOW I FEEL AND HOW IT WILL AFFECT THE PEOPLE AROUND ME, SO TO THOSE WHO IT MAY ALSO AFFECT IN A SIMILAR MANNER, HEADS UP! THE MAGAZINE HAS REGGIE BUSH ON THE FRONT, SO IF YOU HAVE THAT IN YOUR HOUSE OR WHEN YOUR GIRL GOES TO GET HER HAIR DONE BEWARE!

WITH THAT BEING SAID.......SEE YOU GUYS IN APRIL! CHAU

What do you think happens when there is a "girls only" trip to Jamaica?Or the european women chasing young Dominican men in Cabarette?Women do the same shit. That article was an "aha gotcha"to justify womens belief that men arent shit.I aint ashamed of nothing i do.What pissed me off was the authors reaching. He said a guy video taped himself with 9 different prostitutes, without using a condom. What kind of guy goes around banging many different working girls without a condom, video tapes it, and uses it as a bragging tool?Nobody i know, but sure there are fools everywhere, but im not buying it.Then he said men go there for gay sex.Thats another reach.Ive never seen a group of tuity fruity mongers happy about going to get dick.It could happen but im not believing it.The porn industry exposed Rio,plus Rio doesnt have the all-inclusives for couples and family that the DR has.Plus the Dr is close to America and very affordable. If the author was so smart he would have focused more on sosua than boca chica. The author knows sex sells magazines, but its an even bigger topic for an all-womens magazine to catch men fucking up.

On my last trip I saw many Gringa's with young DR men. Mostly in BC but also in Sosua. The funny thing to me was the women seemed to flaunt it. Myself and most Mongers I know when we are in public with a much younger girl we tend to be low key. Funny how when these same women are in a group they look down on Mongers but when the shoe is on the other foot then look out. LOL

Just got back from Puerto Plata a couple of days ago, and I took the mantour. It was pretty much as advertised, for $75 he took you anywhere you wanted to go. It was only me on the tour and we went to Sosua. Our first stop was Passions, we had a beer, looked over the place, they had a menu on what was available, but it was too early in the evening to get any pussy, and besides I was looking forward to going to Cristals. So we left after our beer and we decided to bar hop along the main street of Sosua, it was pouring rain. We went to a bar, got a seat, had a couple of beers, and then I noticed sitting right behind me was one of the prettiest girls I have ever seen in DR, I have been to DR 5 times now, so I had the waitress send her over a beer, we saludo from a distance, then went over sat down and talked to her. Her English was fair. Talked for a while, then went upstairs to disco for an hour or two, checked her ID to make sure she was of age, and then Ed from the mantouor took us back to my hotel, where I had one of the best GFE experiences of my life. She left the next morning around noon. The reason I used the Mantour is because my Spanish is not the best, and I wanted to check out Sosua, but did not want to go alone and wanted somebody who spoke Spanish and could translate if need be. Needless to say we never made it to Cristals, maybe next trip, but I had a great time and I would recommend the mantour especially if travelling solo and your Spanish is not that good.

When you walk in the women attack you (in a good way). Thanks Mark601...I was planning a trip with a couple friends in March we were planning on trying the tour but all backed out going to the DR so now I am solo and I was wondering if I could still try it without a group. But do you think they have or know any local spots as opposed to going to Sousa?

Just trying to make sense of this ManTour.............

Mark601 you mean to tell me you were picked up in Puerto Plata, driven to Sosua for $75 round trip including the time you spent hanging out at the bars. Something just doesn't seem right when guys post they are paying $45 one way from the airport.

I would have to agree with a previous post by Ponderosa.

Billy B and Mantour Guy,

........Please understand where I come from, I have no problem with anyone pushing his or her business and trying to make a living. There are just ways to do it without looking like, well, a shill. I guess the older I get, the more jaded I become.

I would LOVE to hear more about the business from someone on the board with more than 25 posts. There are a lot of well-respected guys on this board who would give an unbiased opinion of the service offered.........

Sorry Mark601 but with only 7 posts I would have to question your interest in ManTour.

Cristals the bar/strip club. Is it closer to Sosua/New Garden or Costambar/Blackbeards. I will be at both locations in March just wondering when I should visit, of course the cost of the cab will probably be the Difference.

Field of Dreams, what time of day is the best to visit to get a look at the chicas. Anyone ever just go there to visit and have a drink. Any barfines to pull a girl out of there to Sosua? Same question as above is it closer to Sosua or closer to Costambar?

I just got back from FOD,you want to get there early as the girls disappear about 8-9 p.m. because most guys are gone then. Any time after noon is good. FOD gets a lot of guys from Playa Dorada coming through for a drink and to check out the chica scene so don't hesitate to come just for a look. They also have short term rooms available though when I was there they were seriously considering stopping it because of all the problems they had with young locals coming in at 2 a.m. drunk and making noise.

I will be posting a report soon on FOD,many changes, all for the better. Alberto hired a guy from the U.S. with a degree in hotel and restaurant management and has turned the place inside out.

Manizales911
01-25-10, 22:02
I recently made an unexpected trip to FOD. I flew into SDQ and was planning on going to Azua to hang out with my "regular's" family but I gave her a choice of going wherever she wanted to go and she chose POP because she has a lot of friends there and doesn't get to see them very often now that she doesn't "work" there any longer.

We stayed overnight at the Riazor which is a decent place for the money and took the Caribe Tours bus to POP in the morning. I have taken Caribe buses to other cities before and they are always clean, comfortable and on time barring issues beyond their control such as accidents, landslides etc. If you are from a warm climate bring a sweater or jacket if you ride the bus because the A/C is a little cold,I am from the northeast U.S. so it didn't bother me but my girl froze her tetas off. The ride took just under 5 hours.

I have posted my opinions and comparisons of FOD vs. BB's a few times and other members have as well and there would be no need to do it again but there have been some major changes and more to come so I felt compelled to post what I experienced.

Alberto, the owner of FOD finally hired someone that knows and understands how this place needs to be run. I have hired and fired plenty of managers of the various businesses I have owned and can tell in one day whether someone has what it takes and "gets it" and Randall "gets it".

The first thing I noticed was about half of the staff is new,Randall had been there only three weeks when I arrived and he had already fired several people and fired two when I was there. He is a reasonable guy but if a person doesn't do their job they are gone. A couple people on the staff were stealing money so they got the boot right away and a few more were let go because well, they were freeking lazy and/or stupid.

Randall was also the guy that got them guys that were advertising the place as a timeshare and trying to charge like $190. U.S. a night to stay there and apparently they didn't even own the place yet,I never got the whole story there.

The biggest improvement has been the number of girls working or visiting there. I have always brought my own girls there because of the lack of quality girls or just lack of girls period but I can assure you next time I go there I will be traveling solo. Every day there were always 10 to 20 girls there, some familiar faces and some not so familiar. I am bad with remembering names but the few I knew that used to work at BB's were India,Josie,Vanessa, and one of my ATF's Ibel. There were several others that I knew from previous encounters but I can not remember their names. There were also several cuties that I did not recognize but sure wanted to get to know further. The one thing that I still don't like about FOD is the girls leave very early. This isn't necessarily FOD's fault but I am not a daytime player when it comes to the ladies so I am forced to choose a little earlier than I would like to because as soon as the guys start disappearing the girls do too.

Randall showed me a new restaurant menu that had three times the choices on it than the one that was in use and said it would be in use within a week. If anyone has stayed at FOD for a week or so the menu gets boring.

They took out the three computers in the bar and moved only one of them to the front near the office and the girls are told to immediately get up and leave it if a customer wants to use it. I didn't see any girls using it because I think they don't want to be away from the "action" in the bar. The room where the computer is now is being turned into a small store that will have some of the essentials that mongers sometimes forget, toothpaste, razors, etc. He is also going to bring in a variety of U.S. condoms and Victoria's Secret lingerie. I welcome the condoms but the lingerie is just another unnecessary thing to spend my money on.

The restaurant is being moved out of the bar area and is going to be in the middle of the courtyard where the gazebo used to be and the bar is being turned into a sports bar with couches and a couple more TV's and a private area with a stripper pole for "previewing" girls.

while I was there the hotel was three quarters booked most days and fully booked on the weekend. They offer rooms for short time and quite a few middle aged to older Dominican couples use FOD to get their freek on due to most families living in small quarters with no privacy, I saw several examples of this. Unfortunately they also get some hooligans late at night all liquored up making noise,I got woken up twice at 3-4 a.m. by people yelling which pissed me off but it didn't last long as Randall lives at the hotel and his room was right next to mine and he promptly threw the perpetrators out.

One of the biggest complaints most people have about the DR is the taxi drivers and their thieving ways. When I sat with Randall the first day I was there I explained this to him and he said he was looking into possibly getting a van to shuttle hotel guests around. Randall has lived in the DR for three years so he knows about the problems with the taxi's,he told me that they had the names of some reasonable taxi drivers and if I needed a taxi the girls at the front desk would call one for me. My second day there I took my girl to Maimon for lunch and the taxi driver tried to charge me 1700 pesos to go there and back. I told him to get lost and gave him 600 pesos,he wasn't happy but I knew that was the correct fee. I went and talked to Randall and he immediately called the guy up and brought him into the office and me and him reamed this guy a new a**hole, Then he explained to his office manager why the tourist industry was down due to things like this and she tried to tell him that there was nothing that could be done about it. He fired her two days later, gotta love this dude. He then arranged a meeting with the supervisors of several of the taxi companies in the bar at FOD and explained to them that if they kept ripping off his customers he was going to get a van and drive them himself, they were pissed to say the least. For the rest of my stay I used a taxi driver named Johnny and so did the two guys I was hanging with while there and none of us had any problems with him. The people at the front desk have his number,I also have it if anyone wants it,I think he speaks enough english to get by for those that do not speak spanish. The ride from the airport to the hotel is still controlled by the taxi mafia as only they are allowed to wait in the airport but you can negotiate a decent price to the airport from the hotel. Billy picks me up at the airport for 20 bucks but I don't think he is looking to make a job out of it but it wouldn't hurt to ask him.

The earthquake in Haiti hit while I was in the bar at FOD and it was quite scary, being from Connecticut I had never felt anything like that before. I was sitting at a table in the bar with Randall and a few guys and we were drunk as hell. I thought Randall was busting my balls by moving the table around as he said we were having an earthquake. What I didn't know was he was originally from California and had felt them before so he knew what was happening right away. As it got worse it was obvious it was no joke so we walked out from under the ceiling of the bar to the pool area and that is when things really started to rock and roll. To watch the water in the pool swish around like the drink in my hand was something I will NEVER forget.

This report is already way too long now so I will close it out by saying that this was my fourth time at FOD and by far the best due to there being other guests to party with hence a lot more girls.

Randall keep up the good work.

I have met Doker and he is a straight up guy. Why not give him a freebie of your services in exchange for an unbiased report? Just let him say in his own words and without prejudice if he thinks the tour is anything to brag about. He has some interest in the tour from prior posts anyway. What do you say???

It's closer to Blackbeards. When me and my wingman go to DR, on are our first night we do a round robin tour that night. We stop at La passion to see what new girls Peter has working, then we head to Cristal after getting a bite to eat at Baileys. We like to reach Cristals about 10:00pm, then around 11:30pm we head back to Sosua since the clubs there don't really kick until 12:00am.

Please note that the girls in Cristals go for $140 to take out. Sometimes you can get a real nice diamond in there. Be warned when you head back to Sosua you may see her cousin in Classico that looks just like her and charges $70. The only time I pay $140 is when I'm in Santiago at a club call Pasion Night Club. That's the cheapest rate to get them out unless your Dominican.

As I stated before on another post the local girls in Santiago that frequent the normal Night Clubs will pretty much sleep with a gringo after the 3rd or 4th date for free, I'm not the type to spend 4 nights of dating to get to that point. I like to hunt and slaughter my prey on the same night I see them. Further more these 3 - 4 night dating chicas are looking to get out of the country or they may call you a week later asking for help financially.

This sounds like a SIGNIFICANT change.
If this guy stays a while, I can foresee that FOD's fortunes will rise significantly, to the point that it is a solid competitor to BB.

The cab thing is great.
Hell, if I were in the area and needed a taxi, it would be worth going over just to have a drink and line up an economical cabbie for my stay.
And you said India and Ybel were there?
Oh my! Now there are two GREAT reasons.

[QUOTE=Manizales911]I recently made an unexpected trip to FOD.

This report is already way too long now so I will close it out by saying that this was my fourth time at FOD and by far the best due to there being other guests to party with hence a lot more girls.

Randall keep up the good work.

Oh my! Now there are two GREAT reasons.I agree with your opinion of Ibel and India but unfortunately I wasn't able to partake due to me having my regular with me, she is friends with India and would have gladly done a threesome but I don't do threesomes anymore as it is a waste of money IMHO. My buddy tried to negotiate a session with Ibel and she stood fast on 2500 pesos ST. My buddy laughed and walked away. He said several girls tried to tell him 2500 but they quickly came down to 1500.

Ibel looked better than the last time I saw her, her body looked real tight. I lost a little respect for her though when she showed up with her 15 year old daughter and proceeded to introduce her to everyone in the f**king place, her daughter already has a child making Ibel a grandma, haha.

Excellent long report. Thank you

By the way, approximately how far is the SDQ bus terminal from the airport or how much is a reasonable cost for a cab from SDQ airport to the busstop?Santo Domingo airport (sdq) to caribe tours bus terminal is about 40 minutes. Some guys go upstairs to the second floor of the airport at sdq and get a cab there, that are dropping off passengers. Cost for taxis from the airport varies. Usually about 40 dollars, sometimes less.

Metro Bus terminal is about 10 minutes further away from the Caribe tours bus terminal. The traffic on avenida 27 de febrero can be terrible, depends the time of day you will be traveling.

Hold the beer. How about just posting some quality info rather than just coming in new and hawking your service. If you are as knowledgeable as you purport then you should be able to share some info as you must have much, much more if you are in fact as knowledgeable as you claim.

Nothing personal, as this is just business, right!?!

I agree. Sometimes the people in the Dominican bars don't know how to react to a gringo in their bar.

P.S. Hey Charles Pooter, why don't we meet in the real world sometime. Maybe we already know each other. I'll buy you a Presidente. That goes for anybody else on this forum too. Free drink on The Man Tour guy in Puerto Plata! That's a standing invitation!

One of the guys I spent time with at FOD during my most recent stay is a retired newspaper reporter and broadcaster. He wrote this piece and sent it to the newspaper he used to work for a few hours after the earthquake. Some of you guys may know him as he is a frequent guest of both FOD and BB's his first name begins with "F", an older gent and all the ladies know him. He told me I could post his name but I won't. I am soooo glad we didn't rent a car and go to Haiti, I could be dead right now.

It was Jimmy Buffett who phrased it so well. "It must be five 0'clock somewhere. "* Yesterday "somewhere" was the Island of Hispanola and the nations of Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

In the sea-side resort community of Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, this retired reporter and three new friends were seated in the lounge of a very small hotel, waiting for the 5 pm round of refreshment when suddenly everyone on the entire island was having the same conversation.

With the unanwsered question in everyones eyes you heard, "did you feel that? " *

At my table the question came in english, the locals asked in spanish and the Haitians, about 120 miles away, asked in french.

Seconds later it was no longer a question as the floor was moving beneath sandal-clad and bare feet. *

Although, the lounge has a roof, it is essentially an outdoor facility and everyone could easily have escaped into the open center of the hotel compound in just seconds. * The trouble is, your first thought is to hang on to anything solid until it stops, so a bunch of mature vacationers could gather their wits and take a few unsteady steps to safer ground.

*

Ten to 15 seconds into the 40 second event the shouts changed from "did you feel that" to "look at the pool! "

Most of the pool water had gathered in one end of the pool and was rushing toward the empty end. * It was a psunami in miniature.

That turned everybody's conversations to the possibility of a real psunami. * With the Caribbean Sea only* hundreds of yards away and virtually no buildings between us and the ocean, a truly sobering moment had arrived.

None of the buildings in the 20 room hotel were more than nine or ten feet high, but that was better than trying to outrun the deadly force. Should it happen.

Motor vehicles were not an option. None were available. * The employees use public transportation and the guests generally use taxis for local travel. * With everyone using their cellular phones, the ability to call for help was very limited.

It was quickly decided that the younger guests and employees would help the older guests onto the roof, if necessary. * It turned out not to be necessary, as there was no psunami and no after-shock activity in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic.

By 5:20, or so, people* were beginning* to realize that the event had run its course, locally, and blood pressure, if not conversations, began to return to normal.

One of the conversations only 24 hours earlier was centered on the possibility of renting a car and spending a day or two in nearby Haiti. Just to say we had done it.

Thanks Mark601...I was planning a trip with a couple friends in March we were planning on trying the tour but all backed out going to the DR so now I am solo and I was wondering if I could still try it without a group. But do you think they have or know any local spots as opposed to going to Sousa?Yep. We also do a Puerto Plata Nightlife and Puerto Plata Gambling Tours. See my classified on the classified ads forum for more details, or themantour.net

Just trying to make sense of this ManTour.

Sorry Mark601 but with only 7 posts I would have to question your interest in ManTour.Initially, all tours were $75. Definitely not a great business model for a one person trip to Sosua. (Although propane to get to Sosua and back is only about $15). We both had a great time despite the rain. I just revamped our tours and pricing structure. It's now $110 for a one-person tour of Sosua. See our new classifed ad in the classified forum.

M*ntour Guy,

You continue to somehow get your "services" mentioned here, why not take me up on the idea of giving a freebie to one of the board members here who is well respected and has more than 25 posts?

I have met Doker and he is a straight up guy. Why not give him a freebie of your services in exchange for an unbiased report? Just let him say in his own words and without prejudice if he thinks the tour is anything to brag about. He has some interest in the tour from prior posts anyway. What do you say?

Doker, sorry I didn't check with you first on this, but I don't think you would mind.

M*ntour, I know you read the forums, let us knowI've read Doker's posts and he seems unbiased, so, sure, I would be happy to have Doker on a tour for free. I'll also extend a 25% discount to his buddies if they want to come along.

Nothing personal, as this is just business, right!?!I don't know why people think they can do anything in the name of business, and think it's ok. "It's just business that I just stabbed you in the back, so don't take it personally. ". Not saying that you did that Rjsss212, I think you have a valid point. Time permitting, I will post information here if I think it will add to what's already been posted.

Actually, reading these forums, the majority of the information is absolutely correct. But here is something important that forum members may not regularly consider: Some people. Even senior members. Seem biased to the point where I start to believe they are working on behalf on one establishment or the other. How do I know? By comparing what they say to the reality on the ground.

So, people should double- and triple-check the important stuff.

There is lots of competition here, especially when it comes to tourist dollars. Everyone has their turf, and they get upset when someone new starts taking business they think they "own". The Man Tour, for example, helps broaden horizons for guys who might otherwise have spent their whole vacations in their hotels, spending all their vacation money there. I know a hotel owner or two who are not 100% pleased with that.

Is anyone on this forum naive enough to think that the larger establishments that depend on monger revenue DON'T have friends and supporters who regularly spin stories their way? Maybe even as part of their job at hotel/restaurant/brothel X?

Happy Hunting,

I can't tell you anything about El Ferry, I never heard of it.

Got a great body and is a real crowd pleaser.El Ferry is a p4p discoteca on the same side of town, but closer in. It's on the north side of the main road close to Juan Muebles. Outdoor tables, bar, and dance area in front, indoor tables, bar, and dance area in the rear. There is space for a few cars inside the compound for those who are shy about having their ride seen on the street.

Girls are 6's. Usually there are half a dozen or so there. Like all the discotecas, most of the girls are bottom of the barrel, but you can sometimes find a gem if you get lucky. A friend/relative of one of the regulars who doesn't know the town that well but feels comfortable working beside a friend/relative.

Be careful about getting too drunk there (or at any of the discotecas). Pretty soon they'll have you buying expensive drinks for people you just met or find other ways to separate you from your money. Here is an important Spanish word everyone should memorize: "NO".

Can my friend tag along with us? NO

Would you like to buy the lady over there a drink? NO

Give my aunt/sister/cousin some money for dinner? NO

It comes in handy in a lot of situations.

PPonderosa is so right. I don't feel we need to name the place in Costambar or that place near the airport on the way in to Puerto Plata. Please Understand, My report was only in reply to the report of the "MAN TOUR"

And was to show I was solo and went all over the place and found everthing I was looking for and without speaking alot of spanish. In addition, it was to show I was not spending all the $$ at just one place like was refered. I was solo in a nice suv rental car from Budget with all the insurance and felt free to go where ever.

Just in note. I found some super looking chicas at a bar that a lot of the girls hung out at before and after work in Costambar it a karoka bar.
