I don't know if it's still an issue, but a while back, there was talk of counterfeit 2000 notes, so that is why I would avoid those guys, not to mention the negotiation. At the exchange house in Sosua, the guy offered 37 for a dollar, and I said no. Again guys, I only haggle there, not in the USA He said, what do you want? I said 38. He said 37. 50, and we had a deal.

As for the Cialis, etc, I came across a new product called Mambo 36, which I think I bought for 34 pesos each. The usual La Pela was going for 50. When you buy in bulk, don't forget to ask for the volume discount, which is usually 5. Now, if I were smart, which I'm not, I could fund my trips with the bulk purchase and resale of this drug, which is expensive, and hard to get in the states. Ass din some cartons of smokes from the duty free, and even some cigars (which requires more research) , and you could pay for your trip.I forget the exact price, but Latino's Supermarket had generic viagra for something like 1000 pesos for a box that contained 96 pills, or something close to that. That would be about 10 pesos a pill. Maybe it was 1500 pesos for a box, but very cheap anyway.

Are there any issues with bringing the pills back through customs? On pain of perjury, you are required to write down a description and price for any overseas purchases on your US Customs Declaration. If you were not honest and they searched your baggage and asked about the pills, you could perhaps say that you had bought them on a previous trip and forgot they were still in your baggage as you have no need for such medications. You can add they are non prescription in the DR and that you bought them in a supermarket. If you are searched by a female customs officer, you could perhaps ask her for a date. Or perhaps not.

Weather is a-okay. Day I was there bit of rain. Very chill. Probably 6-8 guest and 15-20 girls. Its kinda like a retirement home with an adult theme but plenty of talent. I would go back for 3 days and relax eat and get fat. But to me its too quiet. So. Foods good. But I went solo, if you have wingman nice place to lay around for a few days.

You could also simply carry them on you. For this, you have to be careful, since believe it or not, if the packaging is metallic, it could set off the walk through detector at airport security. An easy way to transport a large quantity is to take them out of the packet, and put them is a plastic bag, or prescription bottle.

I really haven't seen pills for less than 50 pesos, until I found the 'Mambo 36' for 34 pesos. Also, guy's, the Viagra generics (blue) , can not be compared to the Cialis, which is 36 hours. The blues are only 4 hours.

I have had them have all my belongings completly gone through by several people on more than one occasion and they never said a word. They like to take fake and real Cohiba cigars from people but have yet to run into someone who got their Viagra taken. I go in and out of DR and Colombia with few dozen at a time each trip with no problems.

since you mentioned cigars, i'm curious as to what customs will allow in (quantity). of course, they will confirep001e cubans, but dominicans will package cubans in a box that's sealed with a dominican seal. i know the official limit of cigarettes is 2 cartons, and i have heard that 100 cigars is allowable. any info?

As I recall a card of 4 x 100 mgs sildenafil is 75 pesos, and even cheaper rate if you buy a whole box.

They also have general Tadalafil (Cialis) , also equally cheap. I only knew about this because they run a block advertisement in that free English language magazine that is everywhere in Sosua. I later got to know the owner of the store who is an English guy married to a Dominicana.

If you want to find the store, walk past Casa Marina on your left and keep going 2 or 3 hundred yards, go past Bologna restaurant on your left, and then the store is on your right just after the junction with Calle Ayuntamiento (the road with Calypso and a liquor store and a bank on the corner at the other end of the street at the Pedro Clissante junction).

Dave, the store owner, quoted those prices to me, even cheaper if I got some friends together and took like 5 boxes. It's easy to find, maybe a 10 minute walk at most from New Garden. He was even handing out free samples to try, this was in July on my last trip.

ThanksIt is not chica friendly in the sense that you can run girls in and out but you can certainly check in with one girl if you are wife'd up and she has a cedula. This goes for any of the all inclusive's in POP.

Hi! I am a newbie at this so here goes nothing!

My friends and I are planing to go for two weeks in the Dominican republic at the end of February 2012,

The week in Sousa and the last at Blackbeard's my questions are to do with Blackbeard's resort, the first is what quality of the chicas (good looking, average, plain) ,

Next is the price (1 hour & all night long) , and the last is can you get something special (Mother Daughter duo, Sisters, Pregnant chicas, etc.)

Thanks

ThanksYour questions would be answered by reading the threads here and visiting the Blackbeards website.

Unless you have a particular reason, I would suggest you stay at Blackbeards first then stay in Sosúa, but no big deal.

I have never heard of Mother / Daughter acts at Blackbeards or of obvious preggies, but if any pair of chicas you may fancy are not already sisters they will soon become sisters at the sight of a couple of blue bills.

The advantage of doing Mother and Daughter combos in the DR is that you don't have to mess with any old women. If the daughter is 18, the mother can be in her mid-thirties. Those less discreet than me might enlarge on that statement.

Thanks Charles Pooter,

I fond the info on pricing in older posts, as for the mother & daughter combo of course I meant 18 and older, it's just that when my friends and I went to Sosua at the

End of May 2011, we went to Passions and according to a friend there was a mother & daughter combo working there, unfortunately the combo stop working at Passions.

Since then.

Last question for now is the ratio guest to chicas at Blackbeard's, in other words is there lots of chicas to choose from.

Thanks

ThanksMost of your questions, except for the M / D duo, preggies, etc, can be answered by doing a couple of very simple things like I did recently. Go to BB's website, subscribe to their newsletter, then e-mail them a polite question or two about the "services" and pricing. They will send you a full menu and policies and procedures. It's better than asking questions here, you'll get lots more info. Remember, be polite, and not gross.

I'm currently talking to a girl on facebook who I met through a mutual friend. I never met her, but I told her I was going to be in Puerto Plata for the first time and and asked if she wanted to hangout. She said sure, and she gave me a couple names of hotels and I check them out. Most seem to be on the expensive side, more for families and don't seem to be chica friendly. Which one of these hotels would be good for me from the list?

Looking for a reasonable price hotel max at $100 a night and chica friend hotel just in case she don't show up and I have to go hunting and bring a another chick back to the hotel.

Lifestyle holidays vacation clubManizales answered this question for you a few posts ago. Don't you believe him? These are all AI places.

Best value in Pto Pta for mongers at present is the former Field of Dreams, now upgraded and just re-opened as Fiesta Resort. Rooms are US$65 but they need to build up some reviews and client base so you could probably negotiate a better price for 2/3 days.

Ok guys, I have a question for the sage and more experienced mongers.

I went to DR earlier this year, stayed at BB and spent some time in Sousua and had the absolute best time in my life. The whole experience still blows my mind to this day. Anyway, that was my first time in the DR, in fact that was my first time outside the US, I don't get out much. While I was there I made friends with several guys and many of them told me that yes, the DR is nice but there are places that are even better. Many mentoned Rio, Germany and Thailand just to name a few. And while I am sure that all of these places are great (well, except maybe for Thailand, asian girls don't do anything for me, no tits and no ass. But I will def check out Rio and germany when I get the chance) , they are also much more expensive. Then I met this one guy, (he reminds me of that old pimp from the movie Hall Pass, you know the bachelor that helps his buddies meet some girls) and he told me that he has been to just about every place that there is to go multiple times and that when you consider cost and the quality of women, there is no better place in the world than the DR. In fact, he loves the DR so much that he moved there! He has this bitchin' bachelors crib right off the ocean.

So, is this true? What do you guys think? I have a week off in a few months and I was planning on going back to the DR. I have about 2500usd (including price of plane ticket) to spend for the trip and last time I went I saved the same amount, stayed for about 5 days and brought back over 400usd so I had more than enough money and never felt like I had to hold back. I've searched some of the other blogs but nothing seems to come close on this side of the globe to the DR deal of 40usd for a hot island chica that will fuck the hell out of you all night long. Tijuana seems like a pretty good spot too. So is DR the country where you get the most "bang for your buck?" Is it the best spot in the world? Remember, I want to stay under 2500usd.

Remember, I want to stay under 2500usd.I would stick with the DR until you don't have a good time any more. Why go further and spend more money when there is absolutely no guarantee you will have a better time?

DR is a Caribbean island, Germany is a north European industrialized country. Don't get me wrong, there are many beautiful parts of Germany like the Harz mountains or the Black Forest, and I also speak German (a bit rusty now, but I could get it back) and I have been there many times in my youth. But why do you think there are so many Germans in the DR if Germany is so great? Probably the guys who tell you Germany is great were posted there in the military, had friends there, and enjoyed visiting the brothels.

You can fly from the US to Sosua without an overnight flight from the east coast of the US, land only 5 miles from the center of Sosua, have fine weather all the year round, go on foot and be independent of public transportation or car rentals if you so wish, and when it is time to leave you can just scoot up to the airport a couple of hours before departure time after a morning at the beach or the pool and a leisurely lunch in your favorite restaurant.

If you want adventure and want to see the world, there are any number of countries you can go to, but if you just want to have a relaxing beach vacation with plenty of sex, then the DR is your place.

Several sensible and experienced mongers have told me they are great. Not my scene (too "automated") but DR Sexalot might like them. Certainly you will find every race and body-type there. However Germany is an expensive country and if you have to get there from the US it all makes for an expensive trip.

I would stick with the DR until you don't have a good time any more. Why go further and spend more money when there is absolutely no guarantee you will have a better time?Dr Sexalot, I second Frannie's advice. He put it in a nutshell!

RIU HOTELS**

Puerto Plata Village**

Blue bay villas doradas**

Iberostar Costa Dorada**

Barceló Puerto Plata hotel**

Coral Marien**

Lifestyle holidays vacation clubThese all appear to be all inclusive hotels, which are not chica friendly for free. For a fee, or if you wanted to rent another room for the chica at one of these hotels, you could get most chicas in. If a chica is with you when you check in, then she will be allowed to stay with you.

Hello, guys:

Fantasy Star Club in Puerto Plata advertises all inclusive 3 days packages with either Eastern Girls or Latina Girls at a beachfront villa.

Has anyone tried the club or knows anything about it? www.fantasystarsclub.com

I really appreciate the help.

You could be right, but I am guessing they were thinking about the FKK clubs. Several sensible and experienced mongers have told me they are great. Not my scene (too "automated") but DR Sexalot might like them. Certainly you will find every race and body-type there. However Germany is an expensive country and if you have to get there from the US it all makes for an expensive trip.On the other hand, if I was young and had money and had never been anywhere other than the US and the Dominican Republic, I would forget about the sex and get out and see the world. My favorite place of all is Greece and the Greek Islands. I would go there, but not in winter time, maybe in early summer and see where civilization started. I believe there are some brothels in major cities like Athens, Rhodes, and Heraklion, but with all the drunken female tourists and backpackers anyone with a budget for recreation can easily find female company if they are not too old. You might as well use your brothel budget to be a rich boyfriend, and avoid the stigma.

The bonus is that it may soon become extremely cheap!

1. I was in a FKK club in Frankfurt area. Last time in April 2011. Had 5-6 hours in between flights. The sauna which I love after a long distance flight was fantastic. Went with a Polish woman in her room. It was humdrum. Went to the Kino (porn movie room in a theater ambiance) and had a Greek woman work on me. In semi darkness that worked wonders. Finally, after lunch, had another Polish woman in the kino room. The whole nine yards, out in the open.I enjoyed the kinkiness. There were a couple of other women including one Russian beautifully named Anastasia.who I was interested in but after three rounds, I did not have time and some of them wanted the privacy of the rooms. By the way, all these women spoke English.

2. I do think Germany is an interesting place because of a sane and sensible attitude towards anything carnal. It is also safe for the women as they are protected legally. Outside of Holland, Australia and NZ, I do not know of other civilized places where women are treated this well.

3. The DR to me is a different place however in that the EU experiences are only with Pros. However, in the DR, the experiences with the locals are notably stimulating. I was at a mall. Going up the escalator to the food court. I noticed two women were stuck at the bottom hesitating to get on. I traveled down and asked them if I could help. One sister pointed at the other who was scared and so I held her arm and she came up without any incident. Until now, this is standard. I have done this many times in other places including in the US. The latter part is what makes it interesting: I was eating by myself at the food court and the other girl. Turned out she was younger, came back to me and asked if I was alone. I said yes so she asked me to join them. At the game parlor. I told them I really was not interested in video game but I would be happy to have her phone number. A couple of days later, she called me and we met up and the inevitable happened. She also asked me if I could help her with a little contribution. Which I believe as the Delphi would confirm, is the usual tendency. At least for me, this uniqueness. Perhaps because of the linguistics plus the statistical probability of getting lucky more often, makes this place stand out.

4. On another note, I prefer Indonesia any day to Thailand (I am told the DR experience can happen also in Indonesia but I do not speak the language and I believe the White male which I am not, has an advantage in Asia. Singapore is also rather open and safe albeit higher cost. I have been to these places 40-50 times so far. But at this point of time in my life, unless one is exploring the world and yes, I am interested in Kenya, the logistics of DR is definitely the other allure.

I was looking at the website for Blackbeards and it seem like a nice place to stay. But once I reserve a room at Blackbeards my only choice of chicas will be the ones working there.

Just wonder if Blackbeards chicas are better than the regular / freelance chicas in the Puerto Plata area (comparing price, looks, attitudes, sexuality)

I would suggest you do half (BB) and half (PP) and let us know your thoughts. Remember BB is not in PP it is in Costambar so it take 15-30 minutes depending on your mode of transportation and traffic to get to the center of PP. Is this your first time to the area?

Just wonder if Blackbeards chicas are better than the regular / freelance chicas in the Puerto Plata area (comparing price, looks, attitudes, sexuality) Blackbeards is essentially a brothel where their girls are there for the taking. It is structured feewise about what you pay and for hor long. It is essentially catering to American mongers who want a safe place to stay,

Monger, eat. If you are looking for no hassle fun this is the place for you. Besides the location is really isolated and unless you have a rented car hard to go anywhere. Taxi is not cheap.

If you are adventerous and want to experience all aspects of meet, chase, sweet talk the local girls staying at blackbeards is not for you.

I just returned from BB's. And I also feel there is a good enough selection that I don't see why you would want to bring a girl in. The girls are there for you. But I have seen guys bring in girls.

The weather was beautiful there when I was there, and there were girls available at the beach. But this has not always been the case when I have been there.

You can also pick up girls a local places in PP like Cristals. But this can be expensive.

As said, you can also split your trip between BB's and Sosua if you are looking for more girls. I know many people who do this. It would really not be worth it to bring a girl from Sosua to BB's. For one thing the cab could cost more than the girl.

I book separate trips to BB's and Sosua because I hate splitting W / E's between the 2 and because cabs are so expensive. But I still think that when you are at BB's there are always enough girls there to satisfy your needs.

Will be in BB's starting on Sept 29th. Have read a number of posts here, great info!

Like someone mentioned is worthwhile, I am planning on staying at BB's for 3 or 4 days, then heading out to Sosua, getting a condo out there and take-out from.

Passions, etc.

For blackbeards can anyone tell me:

1. Will chicas accept Canadian dollars, US dollars or should I have cash only in Dominican pesos? Where is the closest bank if I need more cash?

2. Should I bring condoms, lube?

3. Any issues with electricity, hot water, wifi at BB's?

I have mongered in Cuba and amsterdam. What are the chicas at BB's like? Mostly looking for slim or petite light-skin latinas or even mullatos are fine.

Your Canadian dollars can be exchanged at Jenni's supermarket just inside the gate entering Costambar. There is an ATM at Provocon on the main road to Santiago (take a local motoconcho). Scotia bank and others are in Puerto Plata.

2. Bring what you are familiar with, otherwise condoms are available in the supermarket or Blackbeards. There is a Farmacia near the supermarket too where all is available.

3. No issues at all!

BB have a good selection of chicas. I'm sure you will find what you want. Oh, and BTW, take outs from Passions are expensive!

Yeah Sosua does seem pricey, just wanted to try something different, other plan is to stay at the kite hotel and try some kiteboarding during the day, chicas at night.

Only know a bit of spanish though so don't know how hard will be picking up local chicas at local bars. Suggestions for trying this? Where is the best spot outside of BB?

There is only one reason why single Dominicanas will be in a bar where tourists go and that is to meet tourists. This also applies to females working in bars as waitresses or cooks. They are the hunters and you are the prey, hence the only seduction skills required are to make eye contact, smile, and tell them they are beautiful, and they will be all over you like white on rice. Spanish, therefore, is optional. Believe me, it is very easy.

POP chicas don't go to bars looking for guys like in Sosua. They meet guys on the internet and as you say "in their work place", but they don't fuck quick because they want you to believe they arent tricks. If you don't speak Spanish you might strike out in POP unless you are paying up front top dollars. Therefore I respectfully disagree POP is not easy.

Essentially, long time reader. 1st time poster of relevant info that might actually be helpful to fellow members. Note: Previously, never thought I could add any more than wasn't already said numerous times before! No sense being Dr. Regurgitation (sp?)

Have been to the DR more times than I care to count. Sosua, BB's, PP, SD, BC, etc. So I'd like to think I know my way around a bit. Just recently spent a week bumming around on the North Coast and decided to stop into Fiesta Fantasy Resort (F2R) , aka the old FOD, and check the place out.

Arrived F2R around 7PM on a Thu nite a few weeks ago only to find no one staying there yet and no ladies present. Nonetheless, bellied up to the bar for a few beers and talked with the American owner & Dominican Mamasan. Here's what I was told while drinking (& eating dinner) , along with what I saw:

- ST = 3500 (2 hrs)

- LT = 5500 (from 10PM to 10AM'ish)

- Around the clock = 7500 (24 hrs)

- Management feels they will be able to command this premium based on the fact that they intend to recruit 18-24 year old "fresh girls". Mamasan's word's, not mine, so hold your fire!

- So their business model is to try and be say 1-2 notches above BB's quality, thus the higher price points.

- They are not affiliated with Cristal's in anyway, but I'd suspect this is the type women they intend to try and recruit going forward.

- Food & beer pricing similar to their competition.

- Place completely upgraded. See attached photos. And there are flat screen TV's & murals everywhere. In my opinion, it was all nicely done!

- Rooms will start at $60 and work their way up, but the $60 room is nice.

- Food was good!

- As was stated in previous report 5457, the location is is pretty good being right across the street from Playa D.

- Per management, website to be up and running in a week or two, and that's when they intend to start their marketing blitz.

- Per Mamasan, she will not start bringing in women until they start booking rooms, so it's a chicken or egg type situation.

- For more info, see previous report 5451.

All in all, I liked the place and think the new owner is on the right track in his efforts to be a viable alternative to BB's. And due to the location and security, I think it would be a great place for 6-10 guys to hold a bachelor party. BUT, as we all know, it all depends on the talent. And the economy of course!

Questions = fire away. Hope this helped?

Over & out!

P. S. Just called it like I saw it. No skin in the game!

Great stuff Fuzz Bucket! I was wondering what was happening with the old FoD.

New owners sure have made the place nice but I wouldn't want to stay there unless the place was full of talent like BB. The prices are a bit OTT. I suspect it will be used by guys escaping from Playa Dorada for a quickie, which was the intention of the previous owners. I believe the rooms are available short time. It's nice to have an alternative to visit. I hope it's a sucess.

I said that if there are single women in bars frequented by foreigners, they are looking to meet foreign men. Respectable PP girls or even girls with any pretenses will not be found hanging out in bars. Hell, I will not be found hanging out in bars either.

I did not say anything specific about Puerto Plata. Puerto Plata does not have many bars where foreigners hang out. Sosua does.

I agree with what you say about meeting PP girls from Web sites.

However, my main point remains. The chicas are the predators, not you. If they need money and they like the look of you, they will find you, even if it is walking down the street, in the supermarket, or anywhere else.

Speaking Spanish obviously helps to enhance the quality of any interaction, but it doesn't necessarily mean you are more likely to get laid. However if you know enough Spanish to make eye contact, smile, and tell them they are beautiful, it may plant a money making idea in their head that wasn't there before.

It may sound difficult, but I think that once you are in the DR and have gotten laid a couple of times, you are in a much more relaxed frame of mind when it comes to flirting, because you always know you WILL get laid that night one way or the other. It his just a question of who is the lucky girl.

Flat screen TVs in the rooms. Wowee!

Yes, they can get fresh girls. It is not difficult to recruit such girls in the Dominican Republic if you can offer the girls room and board and a chance to make some money far from their home town and people they know. Same business model with La Passion in Sosua.

More likely the real business plan is to pay commissions to taxi drivers to bring in guys from Playa Dorada, hence the high prices.

i dropped in with a few friends to see the place one late afternoon a few days after it opened. there were only two very ordinary chicas visible (one of whom i recognized from the old field of dreams) and, as far as i could tell, no guests. but as i say, early days yet. my friends ordered a very simple and basic meal which you would think almost any restaurant in latin america could cope with and we all speak enough spanish to communicate our requirements clearly. it took seven reappearances of staff to confirm what my friends wanted (three from our waitress, two from the cook and two from the owner). so i give them 100% for eagerness to please but they will need to sharpen their act if they are ever more than half-dozen guests eating.

the ambiance there is great, beats any monger hotel on the north coast. similar to blackbeards but nicer, and it is not stuck in the middle of nowhere like blackbeards as you can easily, quickly and cheaply get to puerto plata and sosúa without needing a car or paying for a private taxi.

their proposed chica prices are crazy. sounds like they are going for the same type of chica as peter at passions. but they will be lucky to attract and retain a crop as good as passions because peter and his wife have massive experience and contacts. also fiesta resort cannot offer the chicas as much business as the passion girls get, so the best ones will move on to passions or elsewhere.

someone just posted that field of dreams was built to attract guys from playa dorada. if that was the plan then i can assure you that very few of its clients came from there, partly because any attempt to promote the place within the ai was cracked down on. i don't know why the new owners will be any more successful if that is their plan.

there has been a lot of money spent and improvements made by successive owners since the original and much-loved (at least by its loyal clientele) field of dreams and the place looks great. however i knock off two points for the ubiquitous and huge murals of chicas in bikinis, crudely done in dominican style. not classy, and one was alarmingly (though totally accidentally) suggestive of ****philia. nothing sinister there, just an incompetent painter.

one point not much mentioned is that you are, allegedly, very welcome to take in your own chica. if so, it makes for a very competitively priced monger hotel for those who want a change from sosúa (or, like me, never wanted to stay in sosúa). but if you are just going to use the hotel's chicas then bb offers better value. i don't see them finding better chicas than bb and i wouldn't necessarily place much credence in "fresher". new to this area, maybe, but that doesn't guarantee "fresh".

Agree Sosua is really not pricey, especially compared to North America!

TLN for 90$ in DOM vs. $$600-1000 in North America.

Hence the reason we go to DOM.

Just got back from one of many trips to BB's. Love the place! From the staff to the chicas to the mamasans, all things were in top form. Eventhough John wasn't there and Martha was on vacation, Tim, Cliff and the rest of the staff did their jobs and did them well!

While there I meet some old friends and found out that one had moved to the DR! One afternoon the three of us went to lunch at the old FOD, now Fiesta. We meet the manager, Jeff and also saw Criss, the old BB's night manager.

As in previous post, the inside of FOD was completly redone. There are numerous murals through out the place. I personally did not like them, I thought the quality was kinda low and thought the artist was not good, not 25k good.

Jeff the new manager has a lot of big plans for the place and appears to be very energentic.

One funny thing that Jeff told me happened, I ordered a BLT and none of the staff knew what it was until Jeff had to explain it to them.

On the way out, we were talking about the chances of success, one guy gave him a 50/50 chance while the other gave him an 80/20 against. I gave a him a 60/40 against but only because of Jeffs energy and excitement.

Anyway, BB's will always be my place.

Re: quality of ladies and what their company is worth to you = to each his own.

Re: quality of murals / decor = to each his own.

And all I know is this, the current owners have invested a tremendous amount of time and money to create what will hopefully turn out to be a nice environment to enjoy The DR. Only time will tell!

If BB is like Red Lobster (of resorts) and Oxygen Resort is like Ruth Chris, then I think F2R is trying to be like Bone Fish. Variety is a good thing. And once again, to each his own!

Frannie

Was the first place at that location Mustang Ranch? No, when it was first built, actually even before it was built, it was called "Field of Dreams" after the movie of that name, which was subtitled "Build It And They Will Come". Only they didn't come as much as had been hoped, and since then it has gone through various incarnations including the Mustang Ranch, a not very subtle attempt to copy the name of a Nevada brothel.

The idea has always been that if you have a sex establishment close to Playa Dorada, you should get plenty of customers, however the owners of Playa Dorada hotels have always vigorously opposed promotion of the same-which is not surprising really, and I don't think they are allowed to rent out short term rooms.

I have stayed there once or twice, but basically the problem is that it is in the middle of nowhere with no amenities. Playa Dorada is in the middle of nowhere but, has beaches, shops, discos, golf courses, casino etc. All within the complex, and guests get all their food and drink there, plus excursions etc. You can walk from Field of Dreams / Mustang, whatever it is called now, to Playa Dorada, but it can be a bit of a drag when it is hot.

People SAY that Blackbeards is in the middle of nowhere too, but in my opinion Blackbeards is in a charming area with a beach, places you can walk or cycle around, a couple of restaurants and small shops within walking distance, etc. When they say it is in the middle of nowhere, they really just mean that it is not close to other prostitution bars.

People SAY that Blackbeards is in the middle of nowhere too, but in my opinion Blackbeards is in a charming area with a beach, places you can walk or cycle around, a couple of restaurants and small shops within walking distance, etc. When they say it is in the middle of nowhere, they really just mean that it is not close to other prostitution bars.In six years of reading thousands of monger reports I cannot ever remember reading of a monger bicycling. In fact you see very few cycles on the North Coast except the health nuts cycling along the Malecon in Puerto Plata.

You are right about Blackbeards and Costambar. It is a pleasant location and safe to walk around. I spent two weeks there on my first trip to the DR and was never bored.

What I mean by saying that it is "in the middle of nowhere" is that it is very inconvenient or expensive to get out of (especially at night) to visit other towns unless you have rented a car. Many of us don't want to drive in the DR and I wouldn't recommend any newbie to hire a car without full understanding of the risks and the insurance issues.

Whereas Fiesta Resort (as it is now called) is located on the main road between Puerto Plata and Montellano, Los Cangrejos, La Union and Sosúa, and you can be in any of those towns within 10 to 25 minutes for around a dollar.

Both places have their advantages and disadvantages and there is room for both.

I could pick up chicas without even dismounting and was able to explore every nook and cranny (of Sosua and Charamicos) very easily. It was also handy for transporting shopping and 5-gallon water jars. Parking was very easy for restaurants, as you could leave it by the curb (kerb U. K.) where you could keep an eye on it. Best of all I never had to use a motoconcho and risk burning my leg.

Some good points made about the new Fiesta. First as Pooter said I have run into former BB's girls in cristals and talked with them and they were there because they told me there wasnt enough business at BB's. Yes BB's does well but the girls werent making as much money as they thought they should so I can only imagine the problem Fiesta will have getting top notch talent and keeping them happy. By the way you don't want girls that are anything like the girls in cristals, those girls are so fried between some living there and guys getting drunk and acting like a-holes, many of them I think just hate guys. Brad Pitt himself couldn't get a rise out of most of them! This brings me to a few more points. Am I the only one that thinks BB's has plenty of top notch talent, I am particular and I see great talent at BB's and most have an awesome attitude, so why would I pay these absurd prices at Fiesta. Lastly, like another poster mentioned I don't agree that BB's is in the middle of nowhere. At BB's you have a beach where you can meet locals and DR bars within a mile or two that you can pull from! I wish them luck and it can't hurt to have options but I just wonder where this top notch talent is going to come from to justify the expense. My guess is the talent wont be better then anywhere else. The guys that pay those prices are across the street with family or friends and can only slip away for an hour or two so the have no choice. Sorry I am just really against unjustified and random price hikes.

Places that stay open long term in Latin America have better quality chicas and do I have to name names? Nope goes without saying.

They were almost always full and he ran a tight ship and there were plenty of great gals there, I stayed there a bunch of times during that timeframe. Whoever owns the place now should hire him back and get the place back on track. You are spot on that the places that are open the longest get the better girls because that is where there is an established customer base for the girls and the girls know this. I have always said that the biggest difficulty in getting FOD (or whatever one wants to call it) back on track is if there are no guys staying there no girls will show up, no girls hanging around, no guys will stay there. That is why Alberto always gave the girls a free meal, albeit it wasn't enough to entice them and they started doing deals on the room prices and that brought in guys and the girls started flowing in, I loved staying there. I and a couple buddies were there when the earthquake hit in Haiti and the water in the pool was sloshing around and the glasses in the bar were shaking. We had one hell of a party that night, one of my drunkest, craziest trips ever.

I want a reason to stay there the proximity to Playa Dorada beach and Roadhouse disco is appealing to me. The prison they call Playa Dorada AI's don't appeal to me. Didn't the guy that managed it last go to Sosua Bay?

I've heard it second hand that there was a Bikini Contest at Fiesta on Saturday. Twelve chicas in the parade with only eight clients in the audience. There was a difference from the bikini contests held in BB. They don't even wear bikinis! Butt naked! Well, they have to do something to get the clients in, eh?

To be fair the photos only showed five or six of the contestants but it wasn't pretty I'll tell you that much. I will say the the venue looks pretty decent & is pretty good to watch football games & toss back a few drinks.

Are there any apartment to rent for a week in Puerto Plata?I believe blue bay is an all inclusive hotel in playa dorada complex, puerto plata (gated entrances with armed guards). Years ago I stopped and picked up two 25-30 year old year nicely dressed Dominicanas who were walking along the main road not far from playa dorada. They offered a happy hour, but I had busted a nut earlier and wasn't overly enticed by them. They asked me for a ride to Road House Bar in playa dorada. The guards at the gate wouldn't let me enter with the two chicas.

Having lodging in playa dorada complex may not be conducive to mongering.

I tried to ask about Fantasy Star Club (www.fantasystarsclub.com) in my post 5552 but did not get a response and decided to go there and give it a try.

I have extensive mongering experience all over the world and I could easily say that this trip was one of the best trips of my life.

I arrived around 12 noon and there were 3 Russian Girls and 3 Latinas. The girls were so pretty that it was really difficult to choose.

I chose a Russian Girl for the first 24 hours and had a fantastic time.

Next day I went with Latina girl / s but I regret it as there was a huge difference in class, attitude, communication, sex. Etc. But I've always been prejudice to white skin especially Russians Girls (personal preference)

Choose a perfect 10 Russian Girl for the last 2 days and it was one of the best sexual experiences I've had in a long time.

The villa is 25 minutes from the airport less than 100 feet from the ocean and it is an all-inclusive deal.

Accommodation: 4-5 stars.

Food: 9-10.

Location: 10.

Girls: 8-10 Hot Hot Hot.

The cost was not cheap but if you like Russian Girls and considering the travel cost to Ukraine or Russia then it is very reasonable being so close to the US.

The whole trip was heavenly and should be done at least once in a lifetime but highly addictive and I am already planning my next trip.

For those that don't know, Dominican Billy was the original monger in the continuing tradition, before j i m m y d r and the various DR monger websites. He started Blackbeards (before it was Blackbeards) and then Field of Dreams. But he had been mongering in the DR for a decade even before that when Puerto Plata was the center of the trade and Sosúa was nothing. Tremendous store of stories but has a very short fuse so watch out!

Thank youI guess taxi is the obvious answer. Must cost about $60 now. Me, I would take a motoconcho to Javilla bus station in Puerto Plata, costing about $2. Then take a Guagua (minibus) to Sosua, costing about $5. Best pay in pesos which you can get in Jenni Market in Costambar.

I been traveling to Sosua for the past two years, but this time I want to stay in Puerto Plata. I been looking for a place to stay in Puerto plata and noticed all the hotels that pop up on sites like expedia or tripadvisor are all inclusive. I assume all inclusive hotels in Puerto Plata are not chica friendly. I'm planning on being with one chica during my stay.

I search the forum and only place I seen pop up lately was Harbor View. Does anyone have a list of non inclusive hotels, hostels, apartments, or villas?

That page lists: The Sunshine Hotel and Restaurant; Aparta-Hotel Lomar; Portofino Guesthouse; Montsilva Hotel; Hotel Castillo; The Mountain View Hotel; Puerto Plata Beach Resort.

On this webpage you can search for hotels in Puerto Plata and you will get a list of 28 hotels with their contact info (includes all inclusive hotels and non-all inclusive) ; http://www.hotel-dominican-republic.net/

If your DR chica checks in with you at the All Inclusive Hotel, or you give her name at check in, there should be no problem having her stay with you at the all inclusive hotel (many Dominicans stay at All Inclusive Hotels on weekends, holidays and vacations). I stayed in all inclusive hotels in DR with Dominicanas, numerous times.

Which non-all inclusive hotels in puerto plata are good and chica friendly, I don't know.

The non inclusives in Puerto Plata are small locally owned shitholes. Plenty of villas if you are traveling with at least one wingman or are willing to shell out some serious dough and have the place to yourself partying like a rock star, LOL. If you are chasing down pros you could always stay at the newly opened formerly FOD and Now Fiesta Fantasy Resort but better not bring a non pro there, price is right though, $60USD a night. I am hearing now that the long list of things out for sale are actually left over from renovations and they are in fact still open. I will wait to comment further until I have solid info. My apologies to whomever.

Greetings gents,

I'll be traveling to Puerto Plata soon. I hear that some places on or near the Malecon turn into clubs or bars at night. I'd like to know where the pro's and semi-pros hang out at on the Malecon. Also, what's the going rate for said chicas? Gracias amigos!

I believe Cristal rates remain unchanged though I stand to be corrected. 2500 salida and 5000 TLN for the chica. Only sane course is to negotiate privately for when she is off duty, but many chicas live onsite so that is sometimes impossible. Only people with more money than sense patronize Cristal. The drinks cost double as well.

EdHi Ed. Where will you be staying?

I am not sure what you mean by "turn into" clubs and bars at night. Do they turn back into pumpkins at the first light of dawn?

But there are are a number of bars, for sure. The only club I can think of is Cristal which you already know. Enigma closed a few months ago and I noticed only yesterday the whole building is for rent or sale so I guess there is no immediate prospect of it re-opening. Crap place, anyway. Same story for El Bohen.

Bars for picking up non-pros and semi-pros near the Malecon include Charley's and the one diagonally opposite (sorry, forget the name. Something like "Chalo"). They are a short walk up the first side-street to the west of La Sirena.

Spaced out along the ocean side of the eastern third of the Malecon are eight little stalls or "casitas". Each of these contains four very tiny bar or cafe businesses though only about half are active. Most are pretty dead at night but a few attract hookers.

Another bar with a tiny, tiny dancefloor where you can pick up non-pros and semi-pros is El Furgon which lies about two hundred yards on the right along Avenida Luis Ginebra travelling from the Stadium gyratory into town. Very busy at weekends and not totally dead midweek unlike most places.

Cristals is the only place I can think of near the Malecon with a stock of fulltime putas. There are one or two others in the town center but nothing I could recommend.

In short Puerto Plata is dead as a short-trip monger center. If you have the time to stick around and build contacts with semi-putas then I think it is better than Sosua because not so hardcore or pricey. That is why it is a shame that no-one can get Field of Dreams up and running successfully. Such a place is badly needed in the city.

To pick up non-pros you will need one or more of the following advantages: fairly good Spanish and / or reasonable looking and under 50 and / or dance Latin dances well, and you won't get anywhere with non-pros or semi-pros without some Spanish.

Like your post the only thing I will say is you don't have to be under 50 take it from me a guy far older than that.Yes, but do you speak reasonable Spanish? Or can you dance bachata or merengue or salsa competently? I heard that one can find pros and semi pros in a place called Playa Dorada and Golden Beach.Playa Dorada is a large complex of all-inclusive hotels a couple of miles outside Puerto Plata. Most of the guests staying there don't venture outside the complex except in guided tours because they are afraid to and the tour companies encourage this fear because they want to keep all the spending on-site. And also because they don't want to waste time with dumbasses who get lost or into trouble.

So any pros and semi-pros working there have a small but captive market of clients who are unaware of the standard pricing outside the gates and are happy to pay double and think it's a bargain.

Golden Beach is just one hotel within Playa Dorada.

You seem to be planning your trip "ass about face". Why are you not staying in Sosúa? Why are you stuck on Puerto Plata if you haven't even selected a hotel there? It is not the easiest monger environment for newbies who don't know the North Coast. On one had you want a cheap hotel, but on the other you are willing to pay double to pick up wh o re s in Playa Dorada.

As you obviously haven't booked your hotel yet I would suggest one of the following options:

1) Stay in Sosúa (wide choice of cheap hotels) and meet up with some guys who know the area to show you the ropes.

2) Stay at Blackbeards. You will be looked after there and still pay less than you would in Playa Dorada.

3) If you are set on staying in Pto Pta as an "independent" (and I cannot understand why you are) then stay at Aparthotel Lomar on the Malecon. It is cheap and you get what you pay for but it is within walking distance of Charly's and La Sirena superstore (another good place to pick up non-pros if your Spanish is good enough).

Personally, I would NEVER stay at Playa Dorada unless I was hosting a trip for my grandmother's church ladies. LOL. Unless you are trading a timeshare, you can find more reasonable places yourself. Even if you are trading a timeshare, you may prefer to try Costambar or Sosua. You must be discreet, though, when using the timeshares. The girl rates at Playa Dorada will be horribly inflated, as I understand, and does not represent the real DR.

The Professor and Charles are spot on with their recommendations. Go to Blackbeards in Costambar (I would imagine they have a room) or go to Sousa. Either way I would quickly connect with some Vets at either place. I promise you that a couple of beers with a Vet or two will save you from making mistakes that we all made early on. 15min of reading some of the previous posts in either the Sosua or Puerto Plata threads would help you greatly with the quality of your trip. Even if your spanish is good and you are under 50 it can take a bit of time to familiarize yourself with whats happening and where to go.

I am not sure what your budget is (many posts on costs etc.) but I hope you brought enough to have a good time. The difficulty with non pros is it could take a little time for you to seal the deal. Not sure if time is an issue for you.

Either way I hope you have a great trip and find everything you are looking for.

Also, if his interest in non-pros and semi-pros is in the hopes of saving money, he is likely to be sadly disappointed. (To be fair, he has not suggested that, and there are other good reasons for preferring them).

I have done this several times. $125. A night all inclusive for two people is a pretty good deal if you plan on wifeing up for a couple days. Not a place to pick up girls but I have seen some HOT pro's in the discos, how they get in there I have no idea because the guards at the gate are pricks about not letting in local chicas that aren't with a foreigner.

It is much cheaper for locals to get in. One girl I met during a golf trip was a real knock out. Initially I thought she is a tourist from Colombia. She charged me 2000 Road for one time but decided to stay the whole night for no extra. She told me there are many like her who stay at AI. Usually you can see them at disco or casino close to the resort. Once you hook it does not cost you anything extra because all drinks and food are included including room service.

What I suggest you do is change your reservation at Blue Bay to two people and before arriving pick up a girl and bring her with you. Or spend your evenings in Sosua and get your freak on with a girl at one of the short time hotels there. Or go to Passions and do on site. Another thing you could do would be to try Fiesta Fantasy Resort which is directly across the street from the second (employee) entrance to Playa Dorada, I have heard their prices are very high though. A buddy of mine just got home from the DR and he was going to stay there for a couple days so I am expecting a field report on the place any time now and will share what I have found out.

Do I take her back with me or do they have spare rooms for this type of action and price, There is no such thing as a strip show at BB's. If you are referring to the bikini contest it is on every other Saturday, not Sunday.

Yes you can take a cab to BB's and take in the show but be prepared to bend over and take it in the ass on the cab fare.

BB's will rent you a room for short time if they have one available but on weekends they are full quite often. You can barfine a girl out of there but it will cost you 7 or 800 pesos, I can't remember.

These questions have been asked and answered here in the forum a thousand times, you may want to consider RTFF, you will learn a lot.

Do I take her back with me or do they have spare rooms for this type of action and price, Option One

You will have a room already paid for in a chica-friendly hotel in Sosúa. Walk out the door and find yourself a chica you like. Total price $1500 short-time or $2500 for the night.

Option Two

Take a cab to BB ($1200) and watch the show. Find a chica you like and pay the salida ($750). Pay $1500 for a cab back to Sosua (because Costambar taxis are notorious crooks). Pay her $3000 (yes, I know it's only $1500 at BB but she will be spending a lot of time and losing other potential customers) for short-time or $5000 for the night. Pay her fare back to Costambar. She will ask for private taxi fare but give her a generous $300 to find her own way back by publico and moto. Total $6750 short-time or $8750 for the night.

Option Three

For the physically or mentally impaired who cannot find their own chicas, even in Sosúa. Walk down the road half-mile to Passions. Pay $2500 short-time or up to $7500 for 24 hours.

Option Two could be managed a lot cheaper, but those with enough savvy to do that also have enough savvy not to bother.

For your next trick, why not book a room at Blackbeards, take a taxi to Passions and take a chica back to Blackbeards for the night?

Since I consider bb to be a brothel type I would not like to take any girls from there. Even if I pick up a brothel girl on the street not knowing it is good for me.

Once at night I picked up a nice girl who works at a restaurent in Cabarete. She was waiting on the roadside I guess for the bus or line taxi to take her home to Puerto Plata.

We stopped at a local bar and got to know each other drinking and dancing. We hooked up for three days and I did drop her and picked her up after work. That gave some freedom to do ST during daytime.

They say the Internet is the place. Try aa. Com.The hotel's website might have the best price. I usually use Orbitz, promotion code dealpro10 will knock 10% off the price on orbitz. All inclusive hotels in DR include the 26% in taxes. Other hotels in DR you have to be careful, some websites will list the prices without the 26% in taxes. For all inclusive hotels you don't have to worry about that. Starting mid December all inclusive hotel rates will go up and stay up through April.

Dominicans can can oftentimes get good prices for certain all inclusive hotels. Casa Marina All Inclusive in Sosua is usually inexpensive.

Dominicans can can oftentimes get good prices for certain all inclusive hotels. Casa Marina All Inclusive in Sosua is usually inexpensive. The cheapest hotel in Playa Dorada is Puerto Plata Village.

Hola Fellow Mongers.

I have been away for 4 years, trying to get back the the DR. Finally got my kids through college so not as broke and don't have to work as much. I was last in Sousua Dec. 07, trip report 1476, just looked it up, suprised it was still there. I have let my Spanish skills laps, but just got a Spanish language CD and brushing up. I kept in contact with my Novia over that time, maybe talked on the telephone once or twice a month, very broken conversations. I was one of the W. U. Guys you speak of, to the toon of maybe 50 bucks every other month or so. Made me happy to know I was helping she, her two kids, mother & extended family out. She was living in Sousua but moved back to Santiago about a year ago. Researching the board it seems like right around the time of the Tourist Policia?

I'm still in the process of setting up the dates of my trip back, looks like the beginning of Dec. 10-14 days. I was trying to get away from Sousua scene on the trip back, I like the slower pace, less noisey package. I'm still a hunter, Love the chase but I have an adventurous soul. I was trying to get to Haiti as a volunteer relief worker, then come to D. R. On the way back. But if you can believe it, Haiti if not accepting volunteers until maybe Spring of 2012, guess that means more time in the D. R. Found a volunteer program in Munoz, DR. Just outside of Puerto Plata. I will be staying in a compound named Sun Camp, they have on site villas or apartments that I saw pictures of, very rustic and open air. During the day the volunteers help the local Haitian immigrants in their village. I can also take a Spanish class while there.

From my understanding I will have afternoons and evenings off and pretty much on my own. The camp directors are English speaking so that won't be a problem. I like to get out and get lost in the area, check the people out. I am looking for ideas of things to do during this time. I'm not a big drinker, partyer or gambler. I do Love my women though! I will be in the camp for at least 5 days, maybe 7, depends how it works out. I reserved some time for my Novia and I hope to get to Santiago and hang out with her family a few days and check the town out. Problem is, its been 4 years and IF, things have changed drastically between the two of us, I'm out! I will be hanging out in Sousa on the beach and if Herman is still their, sipping on his beer.

Over all gentlemen, thought I would put my schedule out there and ask for some ideas. I will be in the D. R. Early December for at least 10 days. Just working on the camp schedule. This will be my first of I hope many trips back to the D. R. I fell in Love the D. R. And her people my first trip, my goal is to explore the north coast, then branch out to the rest of the island. Any help would be appreciated. I would also like to thank all the contributing members for your reports. A lot of them were very entertaining and informative. Mr. GoGo, I really enjoyed your thread and got a lot of information off of it. As I was checking out my old post and it looks like we were in the Sousua at the same time. I know I hung out with some mongers at that time & had a great time and learned a lot. I hope I can meet some more. Anyone use the man tour here, and what did you think? I read their schedule, and they all go late into the night. Anything else out there?

Oh, if anyone on the board has any experience with Sun Camp or Munoz I appreciate it if you would enlighten me.

Thanks.

When I stay overnight in Puerto Plata on a future trip, I might try a place on the Malecon. I can remember years ago when they pumped sand, from I believe Rio San San Juan, to rehab the beach near the Malecon. Some old buildings just off the Malecon, takes me back in time when I see them. The last time I was in Puerto Plata, to meet Mr Pooter, I drove by a beautiful small park, lit up at night, soldiers and police standing at attention, while the Dominican National Anthem was played.

How does one go about getting the current lineup of girl pictures at Blackbeard's?

EdEd,

You can google blackbeards resort and then sign-up for their monthly newsletter. They always send pics in the newsletter of the current stable. Out.

F. D.Thanks for the props bro. I'm sure we have seen each other because in 07 Domino bar and Four Roses were my daytime hangout. But Sosua is not like it was before. There is no daytime activities. I just reviewed your 07 posts and found them interesting. I would like your permission to post them in my forum to show people how Sosua used to be. Also any info I can give you would be my pleasure.

Anyone use the man tour here, and what did you think?

Oh, if anyone on the board has any experience with Sun Camp or Munoz I appreciate it if you would enlighten me.Hi FD, welcome back to the DR. I having been living in Puerto Plata for two years. First year I visited Muńoz a lot, but I haven't been there for a year for various reasons. I know of Sun Camp, it has been going some time, but have never visited it. I would be interested in having a look at it with you if it fits into your plans. I am surprised they will accept volunteers who stay only for a few days, but I am sure you have looked into all that.

You say you are adventurous and like to "get lost" on your own. I was the same but one of the reasons I stopped wandering round Muńoz at night is that, as a result of the earthquake and also the declining economy on the North Coast, the inhabitants were getting increasingly desperate and bitter. Many were on the edge of starvation. There was a distinct change of attitude. I don't know what things are like now, but watch yourself.

The Man Tour is an honest service and fair value for newbies. I cannot see how it would benefit you though. It is for those who are too nervous or inexperienced to find their own way around, or for those who are so affluent, and value their time so highly, that they want everything laid on a plate. You don't sound as if you fit into either category. The North Coast is pretty easy to master as everything is strung out along, or near, one main road from Cofresi to Cabarete.

Mr. GoGo & Mr. Pooter.

I really appreciate your help and comments. Just trying to get a feeling of what may be waiting for me in the area. Mr. GoGo you have my permission to post the old reports, I hope it helps the new guys. I was just reading back on your thread yesterday and I was disappointed with your current opinion of the D. R, have things changed that drastically? I really had my hopes up for my return visit, and continued exploration of the D. R. Something about it brings me back to the old south. You go into a small city and everyone knows and accepts you. I remember when I visited my Novias little Barrio everybody knew each other and accepted you. People wanted to talk with you, feed you, the amigas were sizing you up, that was good stuff. I just loved the people, couldn't speak the language, but I knew I was accepted. I sure hope that isn't lost, that was the appeal for me.

Mr. Pooter, from my understanding Sun Camp is a enclosed compound. During the day time volunteers head out into Munoz and swing hammers, dig ditches and do whatever is necessary to enhance the living conditions of the villagers. I know the villagers are Haitian Immigrants and conditions are not good. I made a commitment for one week, I figure if things are good that 7 days, not so good 5 days! And if you want to hang out and show me the ropes while I keep you swimming in Frescas, I would just love it! Your on the ground, I'm sure you know alot more about the area and conditions than me reading brosures and looking at images. I appreciate all the information I can get to prepare myself.

I was primarily looking for things to do during the afternoon & evening time in Puerto Plata. I don't want to stay out to late and short my volunteer work during the day. I'm sure there are plenty of things to learn about the culture and the Chicas. And ideas for things to do if things don't go well with my "estranged Novia".

Thanks Again.

Guys, I am going to stay in Black Beards in a few weeks. Have never been there before. Could you give me an advice? They are out of what they call single deluxe rooms. But they still had the standard single and the double rooms. So I have requested the double room as I was afraid standard single may be a bit too small. But now I am having doubts and may be the single room will be just enough? The price difference is pretty significant, especially over several nights. Does anyone have experience with different types of rooms in BB?

I have stayed in both. I have been to BB's several times and in the past always had a single deluxe but this past time, for the first time, I had to get a standard single as that was all they had at the time. I found the standard single to be small but adequate. But will always take a deluxe before a standard. So I would tell you not to change. When you get there, take a look at a deluxe and you will see for yourself that you will be ok. I also stayed in the Jacuzzi room and like it better than the deluxe eventhough the Jacuzzi itself was no big deal. If this is your first time, you will be fine. Spend time getting to know the place as YOU WILL be returning. I'm sure you will make friends with some BB vet's, so be sure to ask them questions. You will love the place!

Hi

Been to Punta Cana 3 times and my next visit to DC will happen early next year.

So far I have chosen to play the tourist and find the girls that match my taste.

Every time I am extremely tempted to go to BlackB though. What always makes me decide not to go is the quality of the girls I've seen on the pictures that some of you are so kind to upload.

A pre-qualifier, I am into slim girls. I know that kind of counterfeits the nature of the curvy Dominican girl. Hence the reason I have chosen PC so I can pick myself.

My question is, am I missing the full picture. Basically. Am I wrong?

There are lots of slim girls in DR, and at bb's. Lucky for you, the slim ones have lower self esteem as they're considered less desirable. Jaja!

I go for the slimmer girls, and have found what I like at BBs. It costs little to show-up and walk around.

The pictures in BB's newsletter are such a welcome addition, however what you see is on a fraction of what is there. If you have a specific taste you need only to ask. There are so many girls that you could stay for several days and not see all that BB's has to offer. On the days of the Bikini Contest you may come close to seeing everyone but you still won't see a 100% of the girls.

My experiences at BB's have always been great. But I also make sure that if there is something specific I want I ask.

Best of luck!

I live in Puerto Plata and like it, but nowadays it is an unusual place for newbies to the DR to start mongering. Usual reason is that they have booked into an all-inclusive hotel there for reasons of economy or security but this does not apply in your case. Can you tell us why you have decided to stay in Puerto Plata rather than the more usual Sosua, Barba Negra, or Santo Domingo? For example, what do you mean by "hot spot"? If you mean somewhere you can get guaranteed instant action with chicas of a certain standard, the only place answering to that description is Cristal, but those that can afford to monger there aren't usually concerned about staying in budget hotels. Also, what's your Spanish like?

Thanks in advanceI recently stayed at P. P for two nights and took Charles' recommendation of Apart-hotel Lomar. Took a room overlooking the water. Much appreciated. This woman does shows on streamate, probably live jasmin as well. Appears to me she is in DR. You can occasionally get streamate or live jasmin chicas' contact info. Lots of Colombianas on these sites, for those guys who go to Colombia, could be a source for chicas. Very, very few Dominicanas on these sites. Mundo Anuncio classified advertisements online sometimes has pics of big titty chicas who offer their services for p4p. You may want to send ISG member Mr Booblover a PM, he has found many big chested women in the DR.

In Santo Domingo, the casas always have big titty chicas. You could visit Hooters, Eagle and La Base bars in santo domingo, could be some big titty waitresses available for p4p.

Obviously for 1000 pesos it is going to be a bit basic, but would you care to give a more detailed appraisal, as this question of where to stay in Pto Pta often pops up and other than what was Field of Dreams and Harbor View (which locations won't suit everyone) there is no obvious answer.

Wrong choice of word! You had "mentioned" it.

I wanted to be close to the beach and this Lomar place was right in front of water which worked for me. Called them on phone and on discovering the rate is much higher than what is mentioned on some website, the woman mumbled something about an "old promo". The fact is I just liked the location and the night spots of P. P did not matter to me. When I went up to check the rooms, I wanted one with a sea-view. That is looking at the sea direct rather with a lateral view. I was shown the 3rd floor room but it had two beds so probably bigger so I had to cough up 1200+ pesos.

In general I had no problem (I am also a low maintenance guy) the beds were clean (I make sure I tip everyone including the cook so that is a no-brainer). And the view from the balcony was excellent for me with big. Windows so the breeze was blowing across. Going to the beach was just crossing the street (careful. No one stops for the pedestrian). I stayed up on the balcony with the woman I was with, drinking Baileys, in the nude enjoying the tropical storm and the street was rather deserted, what with rain.

Food downstairs was standard fare. In addition, they carry a menu card so you could order food from a restaurant that belongs to the owner. I ordered lunch at 4. 00 PM the day of my arrival (after having worked up a healthy appetite) and the guy manning the place went on Hi s motorbike to get the food. There is also a regular restaurant practically right next door (I ate their once in four) and the supermarket "La Sirena" about a 15 minutes' walk away.

Met a nice guy from Spain who spends a month or so there. It just so happens that the girl I stayed with brought one of her friends for lunch the day I left.so this "Juan" hooked up with her. He is the one who took us to the restaurant next door as he frequents it.

Hmmm. One flaw, the Internet does not work in the room. Only at / around the first floor.restaurant area.

Rooms seem somewhat secure? Sliding balcony doors can be an entry point for thieves.Whoa, a astute observation. Yes, the sliding doors worked but they are always a little dicey (as often times they can be forced. My house in Singapore inside a gated community was burgled that way once) and as a matter of fact, I thought about it as there are no lockers in the room or if there were I did not check it out. The hotel was quiet with few guests and given that I was on the top floor somewhat soothed me. If I were on the first floor, I would have been a lot more worried. I also carried my passport along with me at all times. Which to me is more precious than money.

Staying at a hotel or an apartment on the malecon, seems it could be nice. The beach was refurbished not too long ago, the pavement on the malecon is fairly new and when I used it was in good shape. Having a view of the Ocean is nice. Some hotels that have sliding balcony doors have a metal pin that you can push through both doors to keep them from sliding. The built-in locks on several sliding balcony doors I have seen in DR, always seemed somewhat defective.

They can trust me, I'm English!I tried to send you a PM about a month ago, but your box is full (popular Englishman). Let me know if you need anything from New York. I could get you a pair of the inexpensive reading glasses (less than $10). If I don't go to puerto plata, I could give the stuff to a chica and let her deliver it to you (I'll try to find a cute Haitian woman for the delivery and have her meet you in a nurses uniform, LOL).

Thanks guys for the replies to my post about the BB girls. I'm going.

I have previously travelled form Bir and Man in the UK to Punta Cana. And I can see Thomson has Purto Plata flights starting from Ł450.

I live close to Malaga in Spain. Can anyone recommend a different route to Puerto Plata than to go via UK flights?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance.Start from the destination airport's wikipedia page, you can see all the airlines that arrive at that destination:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gregorio_Luper%C3%B3n_International_Airport.

Also consider looking at arriving at Samana airport, as it's not a very long drive away:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saman%C3%A1_El_Catey_International_Airport.

At PP, looks like there are airberlin as an option.

At Samana, there are 2 flights from Milan, and luckily for you, one from lisbon which is closer to Malaga.

Hey,

Long time no post. Life got in the way, but I am now getting back into the swing of things. It is good to be going back to the DR.

I am traveling down to the DR and arriving on the island paradise in Santiago (STI). I have always rented a car on my previous trips to the POP area, but I am exploring my options. My question is, is it worthwhile to cab it from the airport to the bus station (Caribe or Metro) , bus it to Puerto Plata and cab it to Costambar? It may be more expensive than renting as I have to do this both ways, but I don't know. I have never gotten the additional liability, but I am a little skittish not to this time around and I did price it out for this vacation. Rental car with tax it is a little under $200 us, plus gas. I have no idea how much the bus option is.

If anyone has input on this, please do so. Is one bus company better to use than the other? How long does it take to do the bus scenerio? Is there a better option than what I laid out?

Thanks in advance for your heip.

PThe topic has been covered several times by grandpa Poot and Jao but the topic of asking every monger looking dude on your plane where their going hasn't been covered it is what I do if I don't rent a car found several gringos heading to Puerto Plata and one staying at same hotel as me with a driver waiting so I went with him. You have lots of time to ask people when your waiting for that stupid fucking tourist card in STI airport.

I have given at least one guy a ride into Santo Domingo, that I met at the airport, who was probably on the same arrival flight as me (after picking up the rental car). I have chatted with people on the same flight, while waiting at the baggage carousal.

Field of Dreams is re-opening tomorrow as "Field of Dreams" managed again by Randall. I assume from the reversion to the old name that the "Fiesta Resort" crowd are now out of the picture and ownership has reverted to Alberto, but that is only my assumption.

Standard rooms are US$30 for cash throughout December. After that I assume the price will rise depending on demand but, again, that is just my assumption. Not sure if 16% ITBIS will be added to that price, but it never used to be under either Billy or Randall. Check before you book.

So that answers all the people who want somewhere chica-friendly to stay in Pto Pta, at least for December. No idea if there will be chicas on site yet, or ever, as there were previously, but that is excellent value just for the room. It's a really nice location now all the original planting has matured and with many improvements by successive lessees.

Yes, it's a 20 minute walk and you cannot take a motoconcho because they are not allowed inside Playa Dorada. But it's a pleasant and safe walk through the PD grounds past the golf course. If the beach is a big part of your holiday plans then don't stay at FoD. (They have a pool of course, but it's not for serious swimmers).

Charles Pooter
12-03-11, 17:10
I assume FoD has the same rules like blackbeards. No outside girls in the resort and no outside food. Right?Wrong. Neither Blackbeards nor Field of Dreams have ever stopped you taking in outside girls whether to visit or stay overnight. Some guys have reported that they or the visiting chicas were made to feel uncomfortable at Blackbeards when doing that, but I don't think it is a big deal. As for Field of Dreams, if they tried to discourage guys from taking in chicas they would be out of business in no time, as that has always been the norm there and the main advantage of FoD over Blackbeards is that it is located on the main highway and you can bring in chicas from Pto Pta to Sosua and all towns in between very cheaply and conveniently.

Not sure what you mean by food. Obviously you can eat what your like in your room but few restaurants in the world would be happy with you eating outside food at their tables.

Manizales911

I assume FoD has the same rules like blackbeards. No outside girls in the resort and no outside food. Right?Blackbeard's most certainly allows outside girls as long as she hasn't been banned from there and she has a valid cedula. I am sure the same would hold true for FOD. Outside food is NOT allowed at BB's and I would guess the same for FOD but I'm not sure. It would not make any sense for them to allow outside food as that is one of their main sources of income. BB's doesn't allow outside booze either except one bottle of liquor kept in the room.

Costs FoD relatively little but a big incentive for guys who want plenty of beach in their holiday. And the bathing adjoining Playa Dorada is better than the somewhat suspect bathing at Costambar because the current brings the pollution from Pto Pta westwards.

You are right about the pollution in Costambar Charles, I rented a beachfront villa in Costambar for a week once and overnight the current or whatever it was brought in a TON of trash and deposited it on the beach, absolutely disgusting. I told him I would be leaving and then making a return trip to BB's in a few weeks and I would stop at the FR. So now I'm leaving for BB's in a few days and I would like to know is Chris at FODS?

Also are there chicas on sight and what are the rates if there are? I thought the rates at the FR were far too high. The said they were looking for the market between O2 and BB's, but there is no such market. So I am not surprised that there has been a change.

I read back quite a bit in the forum and couldn't find a 'newbies' guide to Black Beard's, so I decided to write one by a newbie for the newbies and give my perspective from day one to day last. The purpose being for any newb to push aside any trepidations, make the reservations and get over here. I'll put my lessons learned at the end of each day.

Day 1, Saturday. Got through the Puerto Plata Airport customs and immigration with no problems and climbed into the taxi with Jeff Gordon Rodriquez. This was an E Ticket ride right up there with my ride in Bejing China with Tony Stewart Wang to the Great Wall. Worth the price of admission. You will first notice the amazing amount of small CC motorcycles, scooters and Mopeds. Everybody and their brother rides one, quite often the same one. Not unusual to see a family of three or more on a 125 cc Honda. The one that got me was two people on a scooter hauling a 20 gallon PROPANE tank. What could possibly go wrong? Then I figured out why no one rides in fear of being ran over from behind as they weave in and out of traffic. They don't have any rear view mirrors. Well Shit, problem solved, what I can't see can't hurt me.

I checked in and paid for my room in cash for the three days, no one asked for a credit card. I walked through the lobby, and the bar to my room and was dazzled by young beautiful women. One young stunner asked if I needed her now and I was a tad overwhelmed so I declined.

I spent the rest of the day talking to the veterans, Capn's John and Tim, drinking Presidentes, and meeting the ladies. Had dinner, showered and changed for the Miss Universe Pagent. After which I partook in a Lovely Chica. My oh my. If you haven't made a choice before the activities start, no problemo. The rest of the girls are 'advertizing' so it's easy to smile and say 'Hola'

Day one Lessons Learned. Bring your own shampoo, Bring your favorite condoms so you don't have any anxiety there. After you settle in, sit at the bar and converse with the vets. All of those sexy chicas can be just a bit intimidating, but they don't bite, unless you ask them to. If you need to call home, you can buy a minutes card at the bar and use the house phone. You can also get Vitamin 'V' and 'C' at the desk if you want to partake in that. Spending time talking to John and Tim is worth every second, as the learning curve goes up rapidly. You can charge all your food / bar to your room and pay in cash when you check out. Muy simple. Channel 299/300 on the TV is Porno. Cool.

However I would advise other newbies not to run tabs anywhere in the DR but to pay as they go because (1) Most Dominicans are innumerate and (2) Many Dominicans are dishonest. Probably less of an issue at Blackbeards than most places but several mongers have complained of padded bills there. Even if, in many cases, it was their (drunken?) error and not BB's, you don't want to depart with a dispute and a sour taste but with only happy memories.

Blackbeards is a wonderful place for the inexperienced or unconfident to dip their toes in the erotic cesspool that is the DR. I was both and I stayed there two weeks on my first visit to the DR and loved every second of it.

Fellow Mongers.

Just a quick report about F. O. D. 's while I'm still here. Went to Santiago (Rodriquez) , if you can believe that with my novia. I didn't know there was two Santiago's in the Dominican Republic so make sure you ask you chica or you may be disappointed if you visit the other. It is a small noisy barrio, with mucho, mucho exhaust fumes. Nice to meet the familia but it was time to get out of there.

Made it back to F. O. D. Today because it is a very nice. You can definately pass right by it if you don't know what your looking for. Thanks to fellow mongers Charles Pooter and Horney D. For helping me out in directions. It is right across the street from the employee entrance of Playa Dorado, I think there is a sign across the street that says something about athletic field on Playa Dorado property. There is a cement wall blocking the view of the F. O. D. And a long drive from the main driveway. First time in my motococho rider knew where the place was. Second time in the taxi driver was unfamiliar with the location and passed it and turned around.

From previous reports by other mongers I don't think things are much different. Randal, the proprieter is on site. He told me that they just opened and they are running a $35 dollar special for I. S. G. Members. I believe he told me there are 19 or 20 rooms here. The hotel is a courtyard with pool, outdoor bar and dinning area. The courtyard is lighted and all the furnishings are very nice. No broken chairs, tables or shoty design which I had seen in the D. R. It seems that is typical of some facilities in the D. R, you wonder what were they thinking when they designed the place. I have the Jr. Suite which is a nice room, nice 40" cable television mounted on the wall, clean bath which is seperate from shower. The bedding is very nice with large closet space. For $35 bucks I think it is a good deal.

Beware, right now there are no in house Chicas for the mongers. Randal told me he is working on that currently, but they just opened. There are a few other guest here, but not the party atmospher you maybe looking for like B. B. I brought my on Novia so things are good for me. I guess you can post questions to Randal as to when that will happen. He told me he will try to post on I. S. G. And be responsive. Very nice person, and it appears he will have everything ready in short order. Oh, the kitchen is open with cooks until 11:00 pm, I just finished a chicken salad which was very good. I hope this will help the traveling mongers in P. P. Or greater area.

As I sit in the bar of FoD. Having my morning coffee I would like to thank fellow mongers Mr. Pooter and Horney D. For private messaging me and giving me directions from my former location to FoD. FoD is currently Bring Your Own Chica until they are fully up and running.

F. D.Glad you found the place and thanks for your thanks.

Just to clarify something as your post is a little ambiguous and another poster was asking:- Even when FoD have their own chicas on site (I was there today and none are around yet) you will be welcome to bring in your own chicas. Indeed, Randall, the manager, has in the past organized trips to Sosua and other places for guests to bring back chicas.

Not sure if you still around on Saturday, Forever Det, but I am hoping to turn up at the end of the barbecue around 2. 00pm.

I would like to find a house / apartment that has a ready to use kitchen. Ideally around the water front or close to the beach. My goal is to have people visit and spend a day or two with me. Eat, drink, chat and of course. You know what. I would like them to cook and I am speaking of regular Dominican food. Meat, rice, habichuela and so forth (spaghetti bolognese or Mac and Cheese would not do (for me) nor would sashimi for that matter, for the women) so ideally a market close by.

Question: do / es any of you know of such a place / s. Ideally I would like to have the place for 5-7 days but it can be less. Of course, whoever rents it has to be non-judgmental and I on my side will be discreet. Of course, being a cheapskate, I would not like this to cost me an arm and a leg (smiley) so no fancy villas please!

I am posting this in the Puerto Plata forum but who knows how Nagua for example might be. Cannot think of far away places like Samana or Las Terrenas as I would like the visitors' travel time to be short.

I am in no rush and thanks in advance for all help / pointers!

Blackbeards: Day two. Breakfast is really good. A great way to get all prepped for your days chosen activities. A note from the previous night, if you are not up partying with the crew in the bar or in the disco, the music can keep you awake anyway, so don't plan on sleeping until after midnight or so. But it's great to sleep in late after a great night time work out. Then if you have a mind to and the weather co-operates, take a nice long walk on the beach and an ocean swim to get the blood perking. Walk through the neighborhood a bit to get the lay of the land. Enjoy the bar and talk to the other guys. It's amazing how much you have in common. Grab some lunch, (Have the Sancocho soup, it is delicious) then a nooner and rest up for the evening.

Lessons learned from day 2. Don't over drink. A couple of guys I was hanging with started pounding presidentes early, shifted to wine with dinner, and some shooters. After the Disco party one of them tried a happy hour and failed miserably, the other couldn't remember if he had fun or not, and felt shitty. He's Canadian, so he's used to it (just kidding man). He did find that the mojito is good hair of the dog. 3. Bring bug repellant. Those damn mosquitos are tiny but they leave an itchy little bump. Mostly attack your lower legs so apply liberally after your post sex shower and before bed.

I haven't done it yet, but a couple guys went to the casino. Absolutely stunning waitresses and dealers. Don't know if they offer takeout. In my mind a happy hour session is more for your mind than for your body. Mine was less than satisfactory. So what the hell, try again tomorrow with two new chicas. Appointments: They are not really necessary unless the chica you prefer is one of high demand or may not be working on a given day. You may be able to arrange with her or the mamasan for her to come in for you for a session. Don't pass up dinner at the Italian joint, Sole Mia just down the street, great pizza. (unless you happen to be from new york) Enough for today, got to rest.

. I would advise . not to run tabs anywhere in the DR but to pay as they go because (1) Most Dominicans are innumerate and (2) Many Dominicans are dishonest. You are too kind in your assessment. Do not run tabs unless you want to pay more, anywhere in the D. R, period.

We want to dance and have a good time if its close to the beach it would be a plus but not necessary.

Black Beards Day Three.

Time in the pool with bikini clad beauties is always time well spent. Great advertising for them, great viewing pleasure (and some mutual hands on time) for us. Win Win! Word of the day: Sunscreen. (If you forget your own, it's available at the bar.) Not much else to say today. Great Lunch, Exceptional afternoon happy hour, shot for the rest of the day. Can't believe I have to go home tomorrow already.

Black Beards Departure Day. Have a swim, good breakfast, pack, and then have a morning appointment with your favorite muy boninta chica. It gets your head on straight to a) face the journey home and be) cement your resolve to return to this little piece of heaven on earth.

No hurry on requesting your taxi to the airport, one can be at the gate in three minutes, but make sure you give yourself enough time to checkout, settle your bill, have lunch and your final Presidente. (airport food is crappy and expensive). You also might want to check your favorite flight tracker program to verify your flight is running on time. I forgot to do that and had an uneasy ride to the airport filled with 'oh shit what do I do if's' thoughts in my head. The 2d taxi ride was just as exciting as the first. OK this is important: Give yourself a lot of time at the airport, so you don't have to stand in long lines or get in a hurry. Arrive well before all of those last minute passengers so all you have to do is mosey through the ticket counter, customs, security, duty free, and the coffee bar. I got to the airport 2 hours prior and it was a breeze, very nice people, but I can see where it could become a headache with a crowd. American Airlines ticket agents aren't very quick or efficient.

OK my final lessons learned. Do Bring: shampoo, bug repellent, your preferred condoms, a travel umbrella or poncho if the weather channel shows showers or rain, your lap top and charger, a spare full color copy of the identification page of your passport, (carry that with you, leave your wallet and real passport in the room safe) plenty of USA or Canadian cash in multiple denominations. Hundreds to change at Jenny's or the desk for pesos, some 20's for taxi and other stuff, a few 10's, (tourist card / other stuff) a couple 5's and 10 or so singles for tips. Upon departure. Once at the airport all of your purchases can be made in dollars, so if you can figure to put all of your pesos into the taxi ride (1600) then add dollars to the balance you can leave the DR with very few pesos in your pocket.

Don't bring: A bad attitude, over inflated ego, swim fins and snorkel, illegal drugs, dress clothes, weapons, other stupid shit.

This place is a safe haven for lots of sex with beautiful young women. You can't go wrong with that.

Casalinda you probably would like to have a car. 2,3, and 4 bedroom houses with pools and free Wi-fi in a gated community, guest friendly if they have I'd. Coole-Mr

This place is a safe haven for lots of sex with beautiful young women. You can't go wrong with that.Paying with dollars whether they be USA or CAD is throwing money away, dominicans are innumerate and to insure they don't fuck themselves they will quote a much higher price in dollars versus pesos. Changing money at BB's is another no-no, they give a very unfavorable rate, use Jenny's or the cambio place in town. I never worry about having left over pesos at the end of my trip because I know I am going to come back, I actually go out of my way to make sure I go home with about $200. USD in pesos when I return from either the DR or Colombia, that way when I return to these places the first thing on my mind when I get there is pussy and not how or where am I going to exchange money.

Thanks in advance for all the help.If you are traveling with several friends then I would strongly suggest a villa. Most have their own private pool and you will be a hit with the ladies. There are tons of them in the Sosua area and most are in safe gated communities. I have been kicked out of a couple of villas for loud partying in the wee hours but if you contain yourself inside after midnight or keep the noise down outside you will be fine, my group deserved to be thrown out both times. Your gals may or may not have to leave their cedulas at the guard shack so make sure whomever you bring back to the villa has one. You can go to the local grocery store and load up on food and booze and the girls will be glad to cook for you, not usually a money saver though because you will over buy at the store and at the end of the trip the last girls standing will take all the leftover food home with them. I have rented at Residential Hispaniola several times, beautiful villas at good rates.

Planning my first 9-day trip to PP for Feb 2012. Two questions for those willing and able to advise:

1. How would you rate the looks of the BB chicas vs. Passions-Sosua chicas? I'm guessing they're something like 1/2 as good-looking for 1/3 the price? Can anyone confirm?

2. After a few days at BBs I'm planning to go to Sosua. Looking at terralindaresort. Com and New Garden. The former seems to have much nicer rooms. Any other reason I should lean towards New Garden? P4Ps at the pool?

Thanks in advance, and will report on my adventures in a few months.

VERY overpriced, but have a beer and see for yourself. Passions is very safe and the girls will not steal or change the price. If you are a newbie with a pile of cash, it is perfect for you.

If you are patient, you can find stunners, and hotties @ Rumba or Classicos/Merengue for 1/2 the price. ***Learn basic mongering Spanish before traveling, you will save a lot of money and have a better time!

Terra Linda is a bit more expensive, $69 (incl. Tax) but much more laid back and beautiful pool. I personally do not want to be harassed by street rat's poolside. You can always go visit the New Garden pool and see these poolside skanks for fun. The ONLY downside of Terra linda is the cost, and pretty strict about no unescorted ladies, which is a good thing in my book. Have a great trip.

No control over the room air conditioning which sucks, the tv's are tiny, no more than one girl at a time (I enjoy my threeway's) and laid back to the point of being boring as hell, at least there will be a few guys at New Garden to have a beer with and compare "notes". The skanks around the pool at New Garden generally leave you alone. If you stay at New Garden spend the extra 14 bucks for a room in the new wing, you will be glad you did.

Too bad Terra Linda limits to one chica at a time. Would be a much easier decision if it allowed more. Maybe I'll have to book a few days at each. One more question. How common are more GFE services like BBJ and PSE services in DR? I'll definitely be confirming with the chicas before I take them back to my room. But I'd like to know how realistic my expectations are before I start negotiating.

Preface.

My spring strip to Sosua was a bit of a disaster so I decide to party in Sosua and deal with the craziness and drama for four nights, then spend for what I hope would be four nights of pampering at Black Beards. Well my first visit to BB was a huge success. It far exceeded my expectations.

Ride to Costambar.

Wednesday was the first nice weather day of the trip. After breakfast and saying goodbye to the prior night's Honey Dip it was time to pack my bags and check out of the New Garden. I spent the afternoon hanging with friends at Scuba Elite (no diving all week, seas too rough) , drinking beer and just general BSing. Around 5pm it was time to head to Bleak Beards. Grabbed a cab from in front of the NG. Listed fare from Sosua to Costambar is $45us. My $40us offer was quickly accepted by the same driver that picked me up from the airport. Along the way we took a tour of Puerto Plata and the Malecon. It was quite a ride. The driver used the car alarm instead of the car's horn whenever he passed a motto / car or went through an intersection (traffic lights & stop signs are just guidelines in the DR). There were points during the ride I had to close my eyes. Anyway I arrived at Black Beards around 6:30pm.

Side note: Driver picked his son up from school on the way out of Sosua and dropped him off at a taxi stand in some little village just outside of Sosua. Sign at village taxi stand showed a 500 pesos price for a ride to Costambar. What a 'rip'. $13us for locals, $40us for gringos.

Arrival.

I was warmly welcomed by the manager who quickly took care of the paper work and explained the rules and services available. Rules are very reasonable and sensible. 'No outside booze or food, if you have it kept it in your room'. Makes sense to me. This is one way the hotel makes a profit and I found the prices of booze, beer and food to be reasonable. The other major rule was basically 'don't be a jerk'. He also apologized for the Jacuzzi being repaired. No big deal. There were plenty of other things to occupy my time.

Next the manger took me on a tour of the hotel. The common areas were nice, well maintained and very clean, no trash, cigarette butts or towels lying around. The layout is great. There is an open air bar with several high top tables with chairs and several over stuffed chairs. The pool looked inviting and had a bunch of plastic lounge chairs around it. Off the pool was a patio area with picnic tables and umbrellas. A small open air restaurant was just off the bar. The lobby had conformable chairs & sofas, a computer for guest use, and a pool table.

I was them introduced to the Mamasan who showed me the board with pictures of the available chicas and asked if I had any preferences. I told her I just wanted to get a feel for the place and I would find her if I had any questions or requests. Never needed her services but I did find the board useful. There were so many chicas it was hard to keep track. I often checked the board to put a name to a face.

My room.

I was showed to room D2, at the top of the stairs, on the left just off the disco's entrance. My original thought was this is not good; the noise from the disco will be a distraction and keep me up all night. But I soon learned that BB runs on a very different schedule then Sosua. It was never a problem.

The room was great. It was large, with a king bed, end tables, moveable minor, love seat, coffee table, dinette table w / two chairs, windows on two sides, two large cabinets with hanging and shelf space, tube type TV, good size frig, A / C, ceiling fan, proper lighting and a keyed safe. The bathroom needed updating but was also large with plenty of vanity space. And guess what? Everything work! A rarity in the DR.

Food.

The food at BB is decent and fairly priced but the menu is limited. Two mornings I had eggs. Another day I had a cheese burger for lunch. The burger was large and came with fries. It was just ok but that was because the beef in the DR is nothing like what we get in the states. For dinner I had a grilled pork chop, fettuccine Alfredo, and chicken Fajitas twice. All were very good & under 300 pesos.

The kitchen was a bit slow in getting out the food. When I was dinning with a chica or enjoying a cocktail & the eye candy I did not mind. But it was obvious one afternoon. A crew from Sosua was in the process of ordering lunch when I was offered a ride to the grocery store. When I returned they were still waiting for their lunch. At times it was difficult to get the attention of the waitresses. I soon learned to get my own menu and condiments.

One afternoon I had lunch on the beach which was great. The menu listed a quarter of chicken with rice and beans. I was expecting either a piece of fried, roasted or BBQ chicken. Instead I got pieces of boneless chicken breasts cooked in a yellow sauce. It looked awful but was actually delicious. The combination of curry and pineapple gave the sauce a unique taste.

I did not see any restaurants except for the beach shacks during my wondering around Costambar but two guys I meet knew a couple and ate out several times. Unfortunately our schedules never matched. They were morning guys and I was always in the middle of my evening session when they were ready for dinner.

Security.

Unlike Sosua there are no security issues at BB. You are not going to get mugged, robed, or cheated and you do not have to worry about crazy drugged up chicas. Just use common sense and all will be good. I was concerned about the keyed safe and asked the guys where they hid their keys. I got a strange look and was told that they did not hide the key. So my key to the 'mother lode' and a couple thousand pesos were always lying around either in my pants pockets or on the table. I never had an issue. One evening l left my hat and cigarettes on the bar. When I returned several hours later they were still there untouched.

I was also told it was safe to walk around Costambar and night but I don't know why you would. It's very dark and there is no place to go. Bring a small flash light if you think you will be going out at night. You will need it.

During the day Costambar is a small mixed community consisting of some high end villas, middle of the road condos and of course the typical run down or abandon or never completed properties. It's a quiet community with only a few European tourists and upper middle class Dominicans wondering about. There was some poverty but not extreme. No one was panhandling. There were a few vendors on the beach, a lady wanting to brad hair, a lady selling fruit, a guy selling ice cream. But they were few and far between. I felt comfortable and safe exploring Costambar.

Customer Service.

Service was excellent. Check in / out was efficient. The maid did a great job cleaning & straighten up my room which was always a wreck after the prior night's activity. I never got up before 11:00am and by the time I had coffee or something to eat and went back up she was done. The barmaids were also great. Never had to ask twice for anything

BB is serious about customer satisfaction. A manage & Mamasan were always present and watching. They were around the bar and pool during the day, bar & restaurant at night and in the disco. They watched the guest to see how they behaved, what they spent their money on, what they liked and disliked. They also watched the girls & staff to see how they interact with the guests. If there was a lull in the disco the Mamasan would make the girls get off their butts and dance and mingle with the guests.

BB's management will do whatever is necessary to ensure that the place is running efficiently and the guests are enjoying themselves. If you are not an asshole, spend a few bucks and have a problem go to them, if possible they will fix it.

Guests.

Hooked up with Peter and Gary the first afternoon both were BB veterans and cool guys. Peter was from Staten Island and work for the NY Post. Gary was a financial advisor from Rochester, NY. Hung with these guys during the afternoons at the pool and partied with them in the disco.

Meet Harry, Friday afternoon at the pool. He is a regular who goes down ever few weeks for long weekends. He rolled slower than Peter, Gary and I. He spent the afternoons at the pool reading and talking with anyone who came buy. Around 4pm he would disappear with a chica and would not be seen again until the disco open. He would then select a chica and sit in corner with her until it closed. Then disappear until the following afternoon.

Willie was another story. He had to be pushing 70 and was doing the chicas nonstop. He book back to back appointments all afternoon and evening. Then he would party in the disco with his harem until it closed. I have no idea how many went back to his room but I bet more than one.

Maurice an accountant from DC showed up every day. He had a condo around the corner and would spend the day hanging out at BB. A cool guy who had a SUV and did not mind driving guys around.

There were several crews but they kept to themselves and only came out of their rooms to pull a chica.

Chicas.

The Black Beard chicas can compete with the best that Sosua has to offer. They ranged from attractive to beautiful, were young (early 20's) , came in all shades and had great bodies. Most had limited English & my Spanish is zero but we found creative and fun ways to communicate. A few had stretch mark issues but were still very doable. Hint: If she is wearing a one piece bathing suite there may be stretch mark issues.

What sets the BB chicas apart from the typical Sosua chica is their attitude. They are not aggressive at all. Sure it's about the money and they gave their sales pitches whenever possible but they did it in a very subtle way. They were not constantly hanging all over me, grabbing my dick and whispering in my ear all the lies about the nasty things they wanted to do. They did not approach until I showed interest or another chica introduced them. Once contact was made they took it slow. They had no problem spending time sharing a drink, talking (the best we could) and general just being playful until a decision was made. If I lost interest they gracefully move on.

Once the chicas got to know me and how I roll they were a lot of fun. I enjoyed just spending time hanging with my 'regulars' at the pool, in the bar & disco. And they enjoyed my company as much as I did theirs. Sitting at the bar staring off into space or into your drink, hiding in your room or being cheap will result in a bad experience. The key is to develop a friendship by treating them well and interacting with them. Trust me, the chicas do not want to sit around being board all day and night. They would much rather pass the time by interacting with the guests even if it does not result in a session.

The chicas start arriving around 11am. By noon they are all in their bathing suits. Around 6pm the evening crew arrives in casual attire. Some of the day chicas do stay for the evening shift. By 8pm they are all dressed to empress and ready for the disco.

Short term 'happy hours' worked real well at Black Beards. For the most part the chicas hangout / hunted in pairs so I was assured of a compatible team. None of the sessions were true PSE girl on girl sessions but the girls were not shy and most did not have any problem with some girl / girl kissing and groping. The happy hours provided variety and livelier sessions. There is nothing sexier then have two beautiful chicas trying to outdo each other. The happy hours also provided some insurance. If one was not good at one type of activity I had a backup. I'm also not a young stud. It takes some time and work to get me off. When one got tired of sucking or fucking the other took over. I always had a rested chica ready to go.

BBBJ & DFKing were the norm. I did not experience a BJ to completion but that was my choice. I always wanted to move on to the main event. My guess is most of the chicas would have complied with a cum in mouth request. I also did not get the chance to try anal a favorite of mine. Just too may chicas and too many other things to try. But I bet Roni and Mildred would have provided it in a solo session.

With few exceptions the BB chicas provided great service.

General info.

Defiantly bring / buy some booze, beer, soda & water for the room. The hotel's bar shuts down at midnight & you will want provisions for late night room parties. About half of the waist high refrigerator was available. No one said anything when I stocked it with beer and bottled water. But in a pinch I used the hotel's stuff from the frig. It was fairly price and convenient. The frig was restocked daily and what I used was charge to my bill. I did not keep track of what was consumed but it was considerable. We hit the frig hard a couple of nights so the $30us I was charge at checkout seemed reasonable.

A pharmacy and Yenny's is an easy walk from BBs. Yenny's is small grocery store that stocks just about everything you need, beer, soda, water, condoms. The pharmacy was closed the day I was in town so I have no Intel.

Bring more condoms than you think you will need. I went through a large box this trip and had to buy the local brands. Happy hours require numerous condoms and the chicas used condoms on the toys. A package of 3 can be purchased at BB's bar for 150 pesos. Don't buy the local brand at Yenny's (20 pesos for 3) the girls hate them. Go for the American type for 80 pesos. I think they were called RoughRiders.

Make sure you bring enough cash. Your BB bill can be paid with a credit card but it will cost an extra 20. I did not see any banks or ATMs.

Do not run a tab at BBs. Pay in pesos as you go. I don't believe they would intentionally pad your bill but mistakes can happen and you avoid sticker shock at check out. Paying as you go allows you to keep better track of how much money you spent & what you have left. A 10% tip is automatically added to all food & bar bills. I also left whatever small change I got back.

The front desk's exchange rate was RD36 to $1us and Viagra / Cialis were available. If I recall correctly two pills for 150 poesos.

Money can also be changed at Yenny's at a great rate. I got 38. 40 to the dollar. The best I did in Sosua was 38. 25. It's safe and easy. Just see the man at the back of the store. He has a small office where the transaction takes place.

Free Wi-Fi covered the entire hotel including the common areas and my room. My Claro' phone worked fine also.

How I rolled on Wednesday

The first night was a disappointment. By the time I checked in and cleaned up it was 8pm. My first stop was the bar where I approached a cute spinner sitting on the stool next to me. She had the looks I go for cute face, great eyes and smile, killer spinner body, and soft shoulder length curly hair that highlighted her face. But it was quite painful trying to get something going because she was so shy. The manager who was keeping an eye on me to make sure I was settling in saw this and got the Mamasan. Apparently it was the girl's first day on the job. Hearing that I decided it was not a good idea to pursue her any further so I went to dinner. Sorry I don't remember her name.

Note: Harry tried her one afternoon and reported that she was shy but once she became comfortable with him she was an excellent plaything. So don't rule out 'newbies' I got burnt but Harry found a gem.

I finish dinner around 10pm and returned to the bar where I meet Barbra. Barbra had a great sales pitch. She was very outgoing & gave little lap dances. Eventually she asked if I'm going to take her up stairs. I was a bit turned off by the direct approach & started to have second thoughts so I said maybe later. She then explained that there would be no 'later' because the bar was closing and everybody was going home. I could not believe it. 12am and the party was over. In Sosua things would be just starting up. At this point our communications got screwed up. I asked her to stay the night but understood she could only do ST because of issues at home. The next thing I know she led me to the front desk. Of course the manager & Mamasan were there in a heartbeat & wanted to know what was wrong. I said that I had no idea, I just followed her. The problem was she did not think I had a room and it turned out she could stay the night. So up to my room we went where she laid on the bed fully clothed and started to watch TV. I decided that I could deal with this for a while so I poured us a couple of Dewar's and laid down beside her. After a couple of more drinks I had enough. I undress, pulled her clothes off & tried to get something going but nothing I did worked. I then made a critical mistake and broke my 'get yours first' rule. I offered her a massage. My thought was a nice back rub would relax her and on the flip side a titty and pussy massage would get her going. The first part of my assumption was correct. Unfortunately she became too relaxed and passed out. In the morning she was embarrassed and blamed her behavior on the alcohol. I just wanted the bad experience to end so I paid her the standard 3000 peso TLN rate & showed her to the door.

There was a lot of discussion around the pool that afternoon on how I should have handled the situation. Some of the guys said I should have complained to the Mamasan, some said I should not have paid her at all, some said I should have paid only a portion of her fee. Everyone thought I was a sucker. And I guess I was for paying 3000 peso for no sex. What I found out Barbra was only working at BB's for a couple of days. But you would not have known this by the way she delivered her sales pitch. In the bar Barbra was more outgoing and aggressive than the other BB chicas. Basically it was a big mistake to put two 'newbies' together for the night. She had no idea what to do and neither did I. Remember this was my first night at BB and I was still trying to figure it all out. We were like young teenagers having sex for the first time. Also all the booze we drank did not help. Since it was both of our faults I could not complain to the Mamasan or stiff her completely. Hind sight is a wonderful thing. I should have just paid her half the fee and called it even.

How I rolled on Thursday.

By 11am I was showered and headed down stairs for coffee and something to eat. After BSing with the guys it was time for an early afternoon session. Unfortunately I did not give the selection process enough thought. My selection had serious stretch marks and gave a CBJ. But as I pounded away in the doggie position all was good.

That evening things took a turn for the better. Sitting at the bar was the lovely Roni and Annabel. This time I made the effort to get to know my potential dates and it paid off big time. After a couple of drinks and a few laughs, off to the room we went. This was the most intense girl girl session I encountered. When I came out of the bathroom they were on the bed kissing and groping each other which went on until they decided I needed some personal attention. They both gave me a BBJ at the same time. I was in heaven as they passed my dick back and forth, sucked the jewels and played with my ass hole. Having a three way kissing experience was great. During the breaks they kissed and fondled each other. Roni found my toys and was experimenting with them while I finished with Annabel in standing doggie. Annabel added a little twist to this position by resting one leg on the bed which allowed great access to her tight pussy. Wonderful session and I bet Annabel would have been superb solo. I know that Roni is. More on that later. Paid each girl the standard 1600 ST peso rate.

At 8pm everyone headed up to the disco. Maybe there were a dozen guys and three dozen chicas dress in sexy outfits trying to get the guys attention. I was given dozens of mini lap dances as the girls come by to say Hello, and numerous times I was pulled out to the dance floor for a bump and grind dance. Nothing like having a chica gridding you from the front with her ass while another is gridding you from behind. Once I showed an interested in learning how to salsa and bachata I had no problem finding willing and patient instructors.

About 9:30 I went outside to make a call to the states. When I got back I was surprised to find most of the guys were gone. Peter and Gary were still at the end of the bar, Willie was holding court on the other side of the room & there were a couple of wall flowers staring off into space. But it was not a problem, more chicas for me. By being nice to the girls & spending a few pesos on drinks I soon had a harem. No jealousy, bickering, or aggressive behavior. Everyone just danced and partied the night away.

Instead of going nuts trying to decide who would be my late night entertainment I decided whoever was sitting on my lap when the disco closed would be my date. Well guess who was sitting on my lap? Yep it was Roni and since I had my arm around her friend Lilly who also partied with me most of the night I decided another Happy Hour was in order. Don't remember what we actually did or who took the load but I ended up spending time with both of them again so it must have been fun. What I do remember is Roni showing Lilly how to us my toys. At one point I had two chicas moaning as they work themselves up to an orgasm. Quite a site. I also remember they both enjoyed receiving oral. As I dined on one the other played with herself. Back and forth I went. I did not ask then to spend the night and neither asks to stay. So about 2:30am out the door they went with 2000 pesos in their pockets. I decided that the girls deserved the 400 pesos tip for partying with me all night in the disco.

How I rolled on Friday.

Again I started my day around 11am. I was sitting at a picnic table chatting with a crew from Sosua who dropped in for lunch when Maurice stopped by. He had a SUV and offered me a ride to Yenning's to pick up some supplies. It was a hot day & I had no idea how go get to Yenning's so I accepted his offer. We got lost anyway but it was more comfortable riding around in an a / see SUV then walking. When I got back I decided to check out the beach and have lunch. It was only a few minutes' walk to the eastern end of the beach. But the beach is long and it would take a good 30 minutes to walk the entire length. The bars / restaurants / shops are in the middle of the beach. Some facing the ocean some facing the road.

I got back from the beach around 4pm and ran into Roni. Roni was becoming my favorite. She was a freak in bed, up for just about anything, liked all kinds of sex, loved my toys, got off easy, had lesbian tendencies, looked after me and introduced me to some top notch chicas. This time we did a solo session & fucked the afternoon away. She was in no hurry to leave so after a napped we headed down for dinner.

We finished dinner around 9pm and headed up to the disco where Roni introduced me to Francesca and disappeared. That night I was passed along to so many chicas I lost track. At one point I ask the chica gridding my crotch what her name was. She stopped, turned around, looked at me funny and said 'I'm Francesca'. I through to myself 'boy I'm losing it'. Wanda came by several times asking about a happy hour but did not stay & party. She was getting a bit annoying so I told her whoever I'm with when the disco closes comes back with me. Well it was a great night and I had the chance to practice my bachata and salsa steps. Turned out Francesca was on my lap when the lights came on. As we walked to the door Wanda caught up to us &I had the impression that Francesca was ok with doing a happy hour with her. So they went to get their stuff and I headed to my room. A few minutes later I'm in the shower and hear two hellos. Entering the bedroom I got a big surprised. Instead of Wanda I see Francesca using my large dildo on guess who? Yep Roni. And the girls were really getting into it. Several hours were spent in paradise until I was done and it was time for the girls to leave. Each left with 2000 pesos in their pockets and a smile on their faces.

How I rolled on Saturday.

Again I came to life around 11am and headed down stairs. Ran into Wanda and she was not a happy camper. She wanted to know why I disappeared and did not give her the room number. Apparently Francesca dumped her and picked Roni up as her happy hour partner. Such is life.

Anyway round 1pm decided it was time for an early afternoon session. Again I did not do my homework and made a poor pick. Once again it was a CBJ so we got to the main event pretty quick. Cow Girl is not my favorite position and the girls usually give up before I release a load. But this little thing gave a nice ride and was successful. By placing her hands on the bed by my knees & leaning back she created a good bit of friction.

Dec 3rd was a bikini contest Saturday. Unfortunately just as the contest was about to begin it started to rain so it was moved to the restaurant which was not big enough to accommodate the crowd. Lots of walk-ins. Gary & Peter collected 3000 pesos for prize money. 2000 for first place. 1000 for 2nd and 500 for 3rd. Don't remember who won and I question how honest the contest was since both were judges. The bikini contest was fun but not something I would plan a vacation around. I got a better show from Roni and Danielle at the bar. After the contest I took Roni and Danielle up to the room for an early evening session. Roni was superb as usually. Danielle was ok.

While I was having dinner Lilly and a friend came by to say Hello. They wanted to hang with me in the disco and said they would wait in the bar. Of course they got tired of waiting and decided to meet me in the disco. Lilly quickly found me which was not hard to do. The disco is small and it was not crowded. Peter, Gary, Harry, Willie & I were the only guys and there were a lot less chicas. We all partied, drank, danced and basically had a great time. At one point Lilly had to go to the bathroom and her friend Mildred saved her place on my lap. When she returned the party really kicked into high gear. These two were a lot of fun and we continued the party in my room. We danced, laughed, fucked and drank until the early morning hours. And boy did we drink. Finished my bottle of scotch. 12 beers and opened the bottle of rum from the frig. Lilly was great in bed and very funny. Mildred was wild & would be great solo. Together they made a great team. At one point Mildred asked if they could spend the night. I agreed because it was very late and the party was not over. Lilly gave out first and the last thing I remember was Mildred drinking a rum & coke while using the dildo on herself. Next morning they left with 3000 pesos in their pockets and pounding heads.

How I rolled on Sunday.

By Sunday I was done. Slept until noon, had breakfast, said my good-byes, checked out and caught a cab ($45) to the airport. The Costambar cab union is a pain in the ass. Not only do they charge an outrageous price they are hard to deal with. Harry has a regular driver and we were going to share a ride to the airport. To both of our surprise his driver would not take me because it was against union rules and he would get in trouble. The cab in front of BB's offered to take me but we are stopped at the taxi stand and I had to change cabs. Apparently it was not his turn. What a pain.

I had a pleasant and not so pleasant supprise at the airport. Found out I was upgraded to first class even though I was traveling on a frequent flier ticket. Got to the gate without a problem. About a half hour before departure I head my name being called over the PA system. Seems that TSA wanted to search my checked bag and I had to be present. I figured my dive gear look suspicious in the x-ray. My concern was I would miss the plane. The Continental representative assured me that they knew I was with her and they would hold the plane. I'm thinking yea, right! Any how I was not the only one from the flight who were having their bags searched. And I was right they wanted to go through my dive bag. Unfortunately my toys were also in the bag. Of course the storage bag for my toys was right on top so that was the first thing they go through. The young kid actually doing the searching thought it was very funny & was showing the toys to his supervisor who did not think it was funny at all. All I wanted to do was craw under a rock and die. Anyway my bag and I survived the search and I made the plane. 4 hours later I'm back in New Jersey with only memories of a great vacation.

Conclusion:

On check out John the owner took me aside and said he knew I was a member of the board and asked if I had a good time. I said I thought his place was great and the only complaint was that two bath towel just did not make it. His response was 'our goal is to please the customer and make right whatever we can, a couple of bath towels would have been a simple fix, why did you not say something? ' I did not have an answer for him.

Black Beards is a first class operation. Don't be cheap or an a-hole and you will have a safe and great time. I'm a convert and will return in June. If I can set up some hassle free diving I'll spend the entire week at BBs. If not I'll spend a couple of days in Sosua diving and partying them a few days at BB.

I lived large and the eight nights cost me less than $2, 300.

Thanks Buscemi and Manizales911 for the feedback. Do like my threeways as well sometimes.

Off to search for a Spanish Mongering Dictionary. Or better yet the Mongerer's Rosetta Stone.I throw a girl out of my room if they don't do BBBJ! 95% have no problem with BBBJ, what can I say. Many chicas are freaks / PSE's and some are just regular girls that like to fuck and get paid. You will not be dissappointed, my last trip of two weeks, I only encountered one starfish who had a tasty toto and great tits, and another that complained when I stuck my entire lubricated middle finger up her ass, otherwise I enjoyed every experience.

Treat the chicas right, and you will be a king, and I do not mean overpay them, a little music in the room, some beer, soda, a snack in the room goes a long way towards a GFE/PSE. I fed my "Happy Hour" a 1/2 a pollo, and these two took turns on my dick and balls for desert, for a mere extra RD140 pesos they were fueled and ready to hum. This was a 6PM Happy Hour BTW, and I only paid them RD1,000 a piece.

PS: I just noticed you actually asked about going bareback with a PRO......WOW.....is all I have to say.
