I just got back from Puerto Plata. Had a great time and stayed at the F.O.D. for two weeks. Place was great. No hassles and Billy and Chris were amazing hosts. Regular massage girls available and a phone call from Billy can bring in some local talent. I'm a very low key monger so it was great to be able to just relax without chica pressure when you wanted to. It was also an easy walk, but expensive taxi ride, to the resort across the road with the golf course, disco and casinos and mall.
Billy and Chris were great about taking guests to Sosua or P.P to explore the chicas at various locations. Bar was great, food was ok but there is a Pizza Hut etc. across the road for a little variety.
I'm a Canadian so it was great to be able to watch the Grey cup at the hotel and various other sporting events with the guys. A sports bar, chica friendly playhouse and beer. Gotta love the D.R.

This has become a rather lengthy post at the request of other like minded individuals that need posts like this to get them through until their next visit to paradise.
Well I just returned from 8 days at BB’s and as usual had a great time and met many like minded gentlemen. I have no complaints with any part of my experiences at BB’s in fact just the opposite. I have been treated very well by everyone every time I have been there. Anytime I have had any difficulty with anything it is taken care of right away. Contrary to some of the posts I do not feel that the prices for anything are too high. The food is very good and at times it is outstanding. As for the service again there have been times it may have been a bit slower than I would have liked….but hell I am on vacation. I have never eaten a meal alone at BB’s and have either been enjoying the lady(s) of the hour while eating or having a great conversation with some of the guys. I’ve got nothing but time. I would also like to add that on the rare occasion I have needed to eat and run I have told one of the girls that I was in a hurry and I have not had any problems.
I have read the recent posts and I do enjoy the debate over BB’s vs. everywhere else. It reminds me of the debate about Pepsi vs. Coke. Each will have its own loyal following and critics, but in the end who cares. I ask you, did you get what you came to the DR for? Hell yes!!!
As far as the girls are concerned, they are everywhere in all shapes and sizes. I like the consistent prices it is easy to budget and plan for. There is someone for everyone after all its all about personal tastes. If you don’t like what you see or feel the need for some variety there is always take out in POP or Sosua. There is no problem bringing back someone.
I have been to BB’s five times in six months and will return again in December for New Years. My over all my satisfaction level is very very high and I enjoy meeting and hanging out with guys that share my interests but also come from many varied backgrounds and countries.
This most recent trip was interesting as it was over Thanksgiving. Upon my arrival on Sunday I was led to my room by two girls I try to see when I am there and waiting in my room were 8 topless girls, lots of food that the girls themselves prepared plus wine etc. Each of the girls danced on and around me and basically teased the crap out of me for thirty minutes. Not a bad way to begin the week.
On my past visits I have brought various small gift items mainly for the girls I stay with but occasionally for the BB’s staff. She has increased the over all quality of girls (by suspending and or removing girls that are over weight, that don’t follow the rules or provide poor performance and by bringing in new girls) and the level of service is up a 100% since my first visit in June. When I or anyone else at BB’s has had a problem it has been fixed. When Charo says your gone you are gone end of discussion. The other thing that is very positive is the continuing Health Education provided to the girls by the DR Department of Health. Participation in this program is not optional nor is the regular STD testing required for every girl. If you do not provide proof of this you will not work at BB’s. How many other places can make that claim?
On Monday I spoke with John, Charo and Tim about the Thanksgiving Buffet that was being served on Thursday. It was perfectly timed on my part because unknown to me they were about to place the food order later that morning. I arranged (paid) for all of the girls to eat the special Thanksgiving Feast and get one drink each at the bar. The girls looked incredible and the restaurant was set up beautifully and the food was outstanding.
It turned out that one of the guests was a Chef and prepared what I can only say was some of the best stuffing and gravy I have ever eaten. It was such a festive occasion and we all had an amazing time. It was such a big hit that I have asked John, Tim, Dave and Charo to arrange the same thing for New Years Eve.
Friday evening was pay back time. While I was being kept busy off site the girls all arrange a special “Surprise Party” in the up stairs bar in my honor. The girls (with the help of all the BB’s staff) decorated, secured two cakes and many bottles of Champagne. I got to sit center stage for some of most amazing XXX dancing I have ever seen. There were too many girls that wanted to perform so only 5 were selected. While the night may have been for “me” it was enjoyed by absolutely everyone there. The smiles on every ones face told the whole story. I have never seen so many cameras in one place before.
Saturday brought on one of the more subdued Bikini Contests I have witnessed. It was probably because it was the second one in two weeks. I was asked to judge with two of the funniest guys I have met. The girls looked good and thanks to a generous donation of one of the guests the pot was sweetened nicely. The owner of the Lo Solemio (spelt wrong) Italian Restaurant just up the road donated one large pizza to each of the top five girls.
To help clear up some of the false information that has been kicked around here is the truth:
1. Barbi (Monyenka) blonde very large chest is NOT engaged. The ring is a joke supported by the girls.
2. India is back and won the Bikini Contest.
3. Girls that were to heavy were suspended until they lost weight NOT fired.

I have NEVER been in the DR for the Super Bowl though, and this February I am there. I just got back from BB's the beginning of November and already I booked to go back!
Anyway - where is the best place for a SB party? I think that Blackbeards put a big screen in, that sounds good, but does anybody know of any other place to be that night?

I know that BB's has a new projection screen in the up stairs bar. I will be there from Dec. 29 to Jan. 5 and would like to watch the Bowl Games up there. When I return I will report on the quality. I know that during the day there is to much light up there. To many windows and no way to darken the room enough. It will be very good for the Super Bowl becuase it will be dark so the viewing both on and off the screen will be great! I am sure that John will have something special planned.

Some of the most vulnerable women in the DR are married women who have to have unprotected sex with their husbands, many of whom are faithless and/or using intravenous drugs or having sex with other men on the down low.
Many of the girls in Sosua are relatively sexually inexperienced prior to starting to sell sex to support their children. A typical story is that they were seduced by an older Dominican guy who had sex with them four times, left them pregnant, then left the scene. If they then always use condoms with clients, their risk factors may be less than you might think.
If you really want to have bareback sex with a girl, you can buy over-the-counter AIDS testing kits in local pharmacies for, I think, about $12. While these do not give you an absolutely cast iron guarantee of seronegativity, they are a lot better than nothing. I would only consider this if you have started out with a girl using condoms and want to continue the relationship further and she agrees to a mutual pact that neither of you will have unprotected sex with others. Most mongers, though, don't want to take things that far.
If this advice is coming too late and you have already had bareback sex with a girl in Sosua, the good news is that even if she is HIV positive, the chances of this being transmitted to you by one act of sexual intercourse are statistically extremely slight, probably greater than one in a thousand.

Let me first state that I am by no means an expert on the HIV / STD subject but have been in the Health Education field for over 20 years.
Remember there is NO way to eliminate (100%) the risk of contracting HIV / STD's or pregnancy. You can only reduce the risks.
For most males the risk of contracting HIV or any STD via sexual intercourse is (unless you have a cut on your penis or genital area) not high. The percent of risk increases with oral sex. The reason is that you can have small painless cuts in your mouth where vaginal fluid that may be infected can enter your blood stream.
Many people with HIV or STD's may have NO symptoms (other than flu like for HIV) and unless they get tested will have no idea they carry the disease. Bareback sex is much more dangerous for the women. (*Side note: if she is willing to go bareback with you how do you know she doesn't for others?) When and infected (HIV / STD) male ejaculates into the women his sperm can live for days. Some method of douching again only reduces the risk of sperm remaining in the vagina. Many women (not for hire) will have microscopic cuts in the vaginal wall from regular sexual intercourse that are painless. The odds of these cuts goes way up for the pay for play girls. These cuts combined with infected sperm living in the vagina for several days increases the risk of the women contracting HIV /STD.
As for the validity of statistics it is difficult to know for sure. In the USA with the advanced communications systems we have for reporting such information it is difficult at best to know an exact number of infected people in a City, State or Country. If we (the USA) have difficulty what are the chances that anyone in the DR has a clue about the percent of infected people!!!!
My last point is about testing. HIV is not as easy to detect as other STD's. The window period for HIV (the time it takes for detection) is about 3 months from the time of exposure and even then the recomendation is for follow up testing again 3 months later to be sure. There is NO cure or vacine for HIV only medications that slow it down. Most other STD's (except for Herpes which is with you for life) can be treated easily if detected early. The CDC (Center for Disease Control) website (I hope mentioning this site is permited) has great information.
A personal recomendation would be stay covered and be safe. If you are going to be in a committed relationship with someone who's past may be a little gray (like ours) you both should get tested first.

I don't think you are allowed to have two valid passports at the same time. If you want to have a DR passport you have to renounce your US citizenship and become a citizen of the DR. I think. You are now probably on a whole bunch of lists you weren't on before you made this post. (Just kidding.)

People can get two passports if you have the US one prior to getting the other... I had dual nationality because I was born in US and grew up in Australia... got a US passport and then Australian before I was 18. You just keep renewing them and obviously don't show both at once.
But when applying for a US passport they ask you to denouce all other national allegiances.

I am also a naturalized US citizen. I specifically asked the INS staff about maintaining my prior citizenship and the passport that comes with it. I was brushed off so brusquely with a perfunctory "Yeah, no problem." that I was afraid to pursue the matter for more clarification in case he changed his mind.
I applied for and received my US passport with no difficulties. I have since renewed my foreign passport also with no difficulties. The US passport application does ask about foreign passports, but I have met so many Americans with dual citizenship and foreign passports that I don't think it is paid much attention by the State Dept.
The issue with legality and other problems seems to rest more with the foreign countries than with the US. My original country only legalized dual citizenship 25 years ago.
I'm surprised to hear it's seemingly so easy to aquire multiple passports. It seems that in this age of ultra high security consiousness it would be one of the highest priorities to to keep very tight control of this.
Perhaps things are more tightly regulated now than when Escort and George got their multiple issues.

I just purchased my plane ticket for my stay in Costambar in April. This is my fourth time within a year and I'd really like to rent an apartment this time instead of staying at BB's. Does anyone know a nice spacious apartment rental that they would suggest?
I was just wondering if there are many girls at BBs between Christmas and New Years. I went to Sosua and Cabarete once during the holidays and several clubs were closed, or only the skanks were left.

Of course, the main action is in Sosúa. The one time I took a taxi to Sosúa, it cost me 200 DOP, with a lot of bargaining. That was in the morning and I was carrying my luggage. Without luggage / at night, prices may be lower / higher.

My room was paid for by Bruce (from TSM), who’s an investor in the hotel.
According to the web site, the room rate is 43.10 USD + 16% taxes, which adds up to a round 50 USD.

LosoSounds like business is pretty bad if the cost of a room for $50 a night includes free transportation around the town, unless Field of Dreams transporttion services is getting commissions from the clubs they take people to. I don't know if that is the case or not, but it might account for some of the quite high prices for companionship mentioned here. I never know what goes on in the minds of some people. Most of the difficulties that guests at BB's experience are a result of poor communication. I have always told "newbies" to speak with Charo or Elizabeth (Charos great new assistant) to make sure that all involved know and agree in advance as to the expectations of their date.
I just returned from 8 day at BB's and I again had a great time...met some new girls and enjoyed all of the guests. I learned alot and offered my advice to those that asked for it.
There was another communication error that occured while I was there. A girl I have been with several times on each visit was eating breakfast alone and waved me over to join her. She speaks a little english and I offered to by her breakfast as I always do. She said her date from the night before was paying for her meal as he told her to "go eat breakfast" as he wanted to sleep. Time moves on a Charo sits with us to eat and I buy her breakfast. I stayed at F.O.D. for two weeks in November and got to know Billy pretty well and yes he does have a temper. Usually he only loses it with people he has low regard for or whom he suspects are trying to rip him or the girls off. I never know what goes on in the minds of some people. Most of the difficulties that guests at BB's experience are a result of poor communication. I have always told "newbies" to speak with Charo or Elizabeth (Charos great new assistant) to make sure that all involved know and agree in advance as to the expectations of their date.
I just returned from 8 day at BB's and I again had a great time...met some new girls and enjoyed all of the guests. I learned alot and offered my advice to those that asked for it.
There was another communication error that occured while I was there. A girl I have been with several times on each visit was eating breakfast alone and waved me over to join her. She speaks a little english and I offered to by her breakfast as I always do. She said her date from the night before was paying for her meal as he told her to "go eat breakfast" as he wanted to sleep. Time moves on a Charo sits with us to eat and I buy her breakfast. i post this lengthy report for those of you, like myself, who enjoy going to blackbeards and for those of you planning a trip in the near future. having been home now, for just over a week, i have once again begun the count down for my next trip in march. this was by far my most unusual trip as it was over new years and the place had a very different “feel” to it. many of the girls were away with their families (which i knew would be the case) and there were not many guests. the guests that were there, were as always, great company and i once again made many new friends and learned much from them sharing their past experiences from all over the world.

one last story to serve as a reminder for all of us when it comes to girls, money and loyalty. while sitting at breakfast one morning with my date from the previous night one of the guests and his date (who i have been with many times and know well) joined us and he tells me that this is his dates last day at bb's. he says that he will be paying her expenses and that he is paying for english classes. as he leaves to settle his bill she asks if i want to have a happy hour with her the next day. she goes to the airport with him and returns to bb's ready to go to work the next day! i did see her leave on two happy hours and saw her in the jacuzzi. she is not the first nor last girl to play this game. there are several girls (at least 4 i know of) that have multiple boyfriends sending them money.

I have found that (for me) using Charo and Elizabeth to help set up some over night dates with girls I really like is great. This is especially helpful if you want someone that is in high demand. The girls also like this because they now have a sure thing for the night and it is easier for them to make arrangements (baby sitter) in advance. I have set up some great dates (for later that night or next day) in the morning at breakfast as the girls that have just finished their over night dates are leaving. It is a win / win for both of you. Short Time dates during the day allows me to be with some girls that I might not normally choose. Its less costly if the experience is not what I wanted.

The pictures on the web site need to be updated. Some of the girls pictured are no longer there. The best way to know who is there is to find someone that has some pictures they took from a recent Bikini Contest. I have taken pictures at the last two contests but because of the lighting (I was a judge) the sun made the picture quality very poor.

The penthose has 2 separate bedrooms, 1 large marble shower bathroom and a smaller bathroom. It has a large living/dining area and all rooms are air conditioned. It's nice except that sometimes you lose water pressure and I didn't appreciate the 3 story walk-up when you've had a few cocktails.

I have never stayed in the Penthouse. I prefere to stay over the bar and like the privacy it gives me. I hate the walk up to the third floor. I have done it for a few days when nothing else was open. I have heard that water pressure can be a problem that said I have been told it is very nice.

In most cases, that's probably true.
Although they've appreciated in price over the past two years, (what was US$35K is now 50K, there are few "screaming deals".
Cash up front (no/rare financing)
Management/condo fees (about US125-150/mo)
As mentioned, most of the market is Sosua and eastward (though if the DR keeps renovating Puerto Plata that may spread westward).
If you have the cash to park and intend to use it as a future second residence, it might be okay.
If just a cheap short stay, you could probably rent a condo cheaply (or split the cost with friends).
I would encourage you to check realtor websites for the area and just check periodically to check the market.
If they ever started offering US-stye mortgages, I personally think the place would really take off.

I did not have any symptoms of Molluscum Contagiosum before I went to DR and shortly after my return they appeared. I was with more than one woman in DR and I have no way of contacting them and whats to say they would be honest about having an STD.
I read up on Molluscum Contagiosum and it can be contracted through other means than sexual activity. Also I have several women I see here in the US so it is possible but not likely that I got it before going to DR or after coming back.
My thoughts are, do to "my" behavior/promiscuity I have contracted something and I can't say for sure where it came from nor can I be sure at this point if I gave it to someone else. I don't feel good about this nor do I want to have this experince again.
By the way this is not an attempt to bash the life style or be preachey. I'm just sharing my experinces the good and the bad. After all thats what I beleive the site is here for.
Also as far as the "bumps" being cut. I was given a general anestetic next to each bump, it felt like a small prick followed by mild burning. The doctor then used a tool that looked like a tiny ice cream scoop to remove the bumps. It was pain less. The spot where the bumps were look like a healing pimple.
I'm just happy I don't have Herpes and I have my peace of mind.

Field of Dreams Hotel is not far away, but costs about $50 per day. There is no short time cabana real close to Mangu. You can go to cabanas around Puerto Plata by taxi. Sensacion is on the edge of town on the road to Santiago, a bit far away for you.
I don't know how much of an issue money is for you. If you are staying at Playa Dorada, you can get the public taxi or guagua down to Sosua in the evening, or daytime for that matter, find a girl in one of the discos or bars and take her to Calypso in Sosua, which is only $10 for short time, though the rooms are BASIC (but fun if you like fucking). The fare is $1 each way. You can also rent a decent room at the hotel Europa for about $50 per night. You can rent a room there late at night if you find a girl and there are rooms available. More likely midweek.
If money is not an issue just get a taxi from outside Mangu to a cabana. It will cost you the earth, but what the hell? So will the girl.
No sure about the salida question at Kristal. Whichever way you slice it, you will end up paying quite a bit there. If they charge you for the room, but not a salida, it may be six of one and half a dozen of the other. Again if you want a takeout a taxi to a cabana is best.
If you are staying at an all inclusive, and are on a tight budget, but want to get laid, your best bet is to go down to Sosua after eating your free evening meal. Drinks are pricey in the discos etc, but if you stick to juice it is a bit less, and don't buy too many drinks for the girls, especially not tequila or whisky, which are exorbitant. Make them have Presidente, and no buying a big one to share with their buddies. You can have a girl for 1000 pesos, though a few weeks ago I had offers of 700 from some of the Haitianas.
Using the public taxis is easy enough once you take the plunge. Of course everyone connected with your hotel, Playa Dorada, security, taxi drivers etc. will tell you not to, as there is no percentage for them. You could try one in the daytime, and then use them at night once you understand the concept. Although seat belt use is mandatory in the front seat in the DR, this does not seem to apply when you have two passengers in the front seat of a Toyota Corolla, you and a Dominican guy you have just met when he sat in your lap!

I am having trouble writing this report. This trip was special to me. As I have refined how I approach the chicas, the level of service has improved consistently. I now have several “girlfriends” at Blackbeards and I like that. It is getting harder for me to talk about my girlfriends in a post. Don’t get me wrong, I know I am doing P4P, but on each trip my experiences and level of service gets better and better. I enjoy walking into BB’s and having different girls come up and call me by name and give me a big hug.
Let me give you a little background. I lost my wife of almost 27 years to cancer a little over three years ago. I am 51 and have no desire to remarry and work through all the little crap that couples work through as they grow together. I also have no want to shack up with someone my age right now. I truly miss the female touch though. I don’t know, call it my second childhood, but these chicas make me feel young, and I am astonished I can keep up with them in bed, albeit with “medical” assistance (read- cialis/viagra). I am ever grateful we live in times such as these.
First off, the reason for the caption of this post. Fantasy once posted in response to Blackbeards that it is for “spoon fed mongers”, nothing more and nothing less. I took mild offense at that post, but He Is Right! I am a spoon fed monger. This trip I originally wanted to go to BB’s Sun to Wens and then Sosua Wens through Friday to see what all the fuss is about. Once I got to BB’s, I changed my mind and I am quite happy about that. It is not that I did not check out the Sosua scene, I did, but it did not appeal to me. I like the controlled atmosphere at BB’s. Girls sitting around waiting for you to “ask them out” works for me. No pressure of negotiating. Sitting at the bar or around a table talking freely with like minded mongers is great. The jacuzzi, the laid back atmosphere and being spoon fed. Maybe there is less selection, but I am willing to accept some trade offs here.
Believe me, the place ain’t perfect. No hot water (none at all) one day. Hot water, when it is there, is really a cut above luke warm at best. I travel a lot and this place is closer to the “Red Roof Inn” than the “Marriott”. Prices are higher than Sosua, not by much, but enough. Music til midnight from the bar that I can hear in my room while I may be trying to have an early night. Only two towels for me and my chica and I’ll take 3 or more showers a day in this heat. A shower head for a fountain nozzle as you enter the joint. This place may not be in the middle of nowhere, but nowhere is just around the corner from Costambar. The “Big” city is Puerto Plata. Want me to go on???? I am not shilling for this place. Part of me loves it because it IS tacky.
I went to Sosua with a newbie punter from the UK one day and walked all over. Nice beach, lots of restaurants, hotels and discos, a little “touristy”, but I found that somewhat appealing. Maybe some day I may get sick of “Stalag Costambar” because it can get a little suffocating there at times, and set up shop in Sosua. Perhaps that is why I get wheels when I am at BB’s, to get “out of Dodge” every once and awhile and eat somewhere else, do something different and have some breathing room with my “girlfriends”.
I want to thank you guys on the board for all your insights. I usually walk around all day in shorts, and I do put on fresh ones in the evening, but I took the advice to look like “boyfriend” material if you want a “girlfriend” response. What the heck, I tried it and it worked. Valentines day I had a lovely young lady who treated me like a king. All I did was spruce up a bit, put on some Dockers, a nice casual shirt and didn’t wear my customary Ohio State U cap to protect my folically challenged forehead. That and a couple of other “tricks” like making sure I shower when I get back to my room (so they know I smell nice and I am clean), and gently ask the chica if she would like to join me (most have, but I don’t push the subject as I want them to feel like I respect them). Even if the girls don’t shower with me, all showered at least after me (now I know they are clean and smell nice). TLN I took all to dinner, and breakfast if warranted. We went for walks, sat by the pool with a drink and talked. We threw stones into the water at the beach. I flattered them on things that were TRUE about them. If they were beautiful, I told them. If they had a nice smile, I let them know that too. When they acted like a lady, I pointed that out to them. I am not saying others need to do this, but it works for me and my personality. I still set my boundaries and let the girls know I am in charge, so all treated me with respect.
I learned a little more Spanish this time around. My first trip about six months ago I had a vocabulary of 5 words and maybe 3 phrase. The second trip I brushed up on my old high school Spanish to maybe 40 words and 10 phrases. This time I bought some Spanish language CD’s and know about 200 words and 30 phrases. I did not know if it would all come together for me, but it did. The words were like Tyco building blocks, and although I know I sounded like “Borat” to these girls, we could communicate. I also asked each chica to teach me Spanish and I would help them with their English. It became a fun game and it was amazing as when your thought gets across to them after really trying to use those little building blocks, we would almost celebrate. The feelings of your idea hit home harder with them like this. A connection was made and it showed up in the bedroom and other places. The girls would pick lint off my pants, brush back my wind blown hair, and be protective of me when we went somewhere. This was good stuff for me.
I also loved the “I am not a puta” game each girl played. It fits into my fantasy. I would openly talk to these girls about how they wish they didn’t have to do this, but do it out of necessity. We had some real heartfelt discussions. And even if half of it was BS, who cares, it was a “date” and again, my fantasy.
In the bedroom I got consistent GFE. I also found that in the morning I would often have even better sex than the night before, and the night before was usually great. We didn’t just have sex for the most part. Many times we made love. WOW! We would cuddle afterwards (something I love) and caress each other. Maybe a massage. This may not be your thing, but it resonates with me. To my way of thinking, this is why Laso did not enjoy it here. The chicas play a different game here than other places I have visited and it is a game I enjoy playing.
I know I got more to say, but this is not the kind of post most look forward too. I like the “who did you bang” and “how many times”, “who gives great head” and “who takes it up the ass” posts as much as the next guy. This trip was special to me and I didn’t have it in me to post one of those. Flame me if you want. That is OK.

Unless someone decides to keep her for the night, which I've done twice. I don't see them lurking all day, but at least four of my favorite FOD memories have been with girls who just dropped in.
Billy maintains control over who is allowed to wander around on his property, the girls that show up usually seem to know the staff. I hope that hasn't changed since I was there in July, I'm heading down again in March.

Just show up at BB. They may have a cancellation or someone with a suite of rooms may let you share. Once I was an overbooked person by mistake and another guy with a suite allowed me to use once of his rooms, rent free at BB.

I have a good look at the face and skin of the girls pics you have shown here and I very much doubt that they are from the DR. I have been to the DR numerous times and never seen girls that look like that there. Most DR girls are coffee colored or black. Never seen a natural blond there.
If I had to guess, I would say that the first girl is Colombian and the second girl is from Europe.

It Doesn't work like that. Vikings is an AI (all inclusive) type adult resort. High quality beauties are part of a package deal. You purchase different length packages (i.e. 4 days/3 nights, 5 days/4 nights) and then can buy add ons like extra girls to the package. Meals, drinks and accomadations are included in the deal.
The girls are imported to work here. It is strictly high end stuff with a high end price tag. You can google to find their website.
There has been discussion on Tripps trip on this thread within the past month, and unfortunately the same on the photo gallery for the DR. This is the more appropriate thread for further discussions as I have learned (me bad).

Well Ponderosa old buddy, I understand what you're saying, but if you'd had the benefit of reading my email traffic with them, I'm certain that you would not ascribe such a low motivation to them. They do seem to be all about good service. I mean, I don't see how such an enterprise could survive without upholding a high level of service, discretion, and quality. They need people like me to COME BACK, again and again, I assume. I can't see how their business model would succeed if their success depended upon attracting new "pigeons" every week, especially if all the old "pigeons" were slamming them in the various forums, review sites, and so forth. I mean, if YOU were considering such a trip (at such a cost), you'd do SOME research, right? If people were generally coming back unsatisfied, you'd really question making such a commitment, I assume (as would I). It was the generally excellent reviews that caused me to pick Vikings in the first place.
Anyway, some of the excellent new girls I've been waiting for have finally showed up at the resort, and so, an extra night with two of those would be very attractive. I've left it in their hands, frankly, but the original plan is in place, for now. - Tripp

You make alot of sense and a business model like they have must certainly depend on quality service. Discreation is of utmost importance as the enterprise can only survive by protecting their high end clients. Guys like Rush L or others of that ilk (with wealth and high profile) like to punt too. (No I do not know if Rush did this or stayed here). This would have to be the kind of place they would call home. Money is not the object for the frequent visitor here.
One thing in your favor if I am even partially right on them reading the boards is that the girls will be well prepped to give good service as they know you will post. My guess is most of their clientele don't bother too much with posting on the boards.
As to motivations by the owners, be somewhat aware that this is, after all, the DR. This ain't "Kansas Toto". The island is great but there is a different mindset here. Police on the take (I got shook down for 20 bucks one visit), one price for locals, one for gringos here at times, surprise govt. inspections (bribes), things like that. It is not that it is not safe here, but always be aware of your surroundings.
In regards to "pigeons", I am sure they are always looking for new blood to purchase packages. A positive post in places like this must help business. You know I trust you will be fair on your trip report back. I am not questioning you.
By the way, when are you going exactly?

Were you taking my advice at BB. It does help to be BF material. Glad to see that it work. While I never stay at BBs I have been there several times and used their rooms short time. I would say that it is much better than some of the crappy hotels that other mongers elect to stay in.

They will do anything for money.... I would suggest going to the clubs in PoP with the wife and finding one that works for the both of you... get a short time place first to test the waters and if it is a go then get her for TLN or beyond....

Here's where I'll be staying my first night in the DR (before I move into Vikings). It was highly recommended to me by the people at Vikings, and I think it meets yours (and your wife's) needs, as you've described them, perfectly. It's not an all inclusive, and the rooms are referenced as "apartments", so I believe that you'll have a high level of freedom to bring whomever you want into your apartment. - Tripp

I hung out with some locals at the many roadside snack shacks. This may not be advisable, as I did take a spill and cracked a couple of ribs and got a concussion.
As for day trips, there are organized diving trips, ATV excursions, fishing (although the fishing sucks) and tours of PP. Or, you can fuck all day!

Puerto Plata isn't a huge tourist place, but get a cab to the seafornet/Malecon, check out the old Spanish fort ruins, etc. One of the girls would be a good guide. Will look out for you and handle cabs, etc. they love any chance to get out and act like a "regular" girl.
Weather in April/May likely in the 80's. Rain is unpredictable. Summer in this region is usually the rainy season. Hurricanes don't affect the North coast much. More hurricane problems for Miami transfers than DR.

When are you going?Lou's Shark bar in Sousa has good burgers and pepper and onions. He gets the burgers in from the states and there is a german butcher in Sousa that is great. Good meat and good prices.

I started to get the picture when they started to put a point system together, # of girls per day, 2 girls, 3 girls, sisters, twins, most girls in a day, most girls over all. I can get a flight from Jet Blue that goes through JFK but lands in Santiago at 3:30 in the fucking morning, but the price is $353.00. So my question is the $300.00 savings worth the pain in the ass? $300.00 is not a big deal in the USA. However in the DR it can buy you much fun.

I have found a lot of useful info and after considering my options I have decided to check out the DR. I will be at BB 20-26 April and perhaps a few days in POP too.

I just did a travelocity from Columbus to STI and came up with American at $377.10 total for the end of April. Same from PIT. You have to change airports in NY, and I am not sure how much of a pain that is.
Play with the dates and gateway cities, but I wanted to make sure my advice was correct.

I am a newbie and an older guy and I have similar views about the chicas as Ponderosa. I have a few questions, perhaps some of you guys can advise me. Where is it best to exchange dollars for pesos? Should I pay for some things with dollars? Can you guys give any quick advice about dealing with the chicas?
You can change at the airport.... but the ATM machines will give you pesos at a decent rate... don't change in BBs they add a little to the rate.... pay them in dollars for the room etc.

Play with the dates and gateway cities, but I wanted to make sure my advice was correct.You don't mention which airports, but LGA-JFK is the easiest, but easy is relative. Throw an exchange with EWR to either of the two and I would want a minimum of 3 hours to make that connection.
Depending on which connection you have, add at least $25-$75 each way, so you are now spending a few 6 or so hours and maybe an extra $100 bucks to save what? Connections within one airport can be difficult. Changing airports midstream? No way at least not for me.

What dates are you looking at and does the return also involve an airport change?
I stayed 2 weeks in the Flamengo Hotel at Puerto Plata.
But it was impossible for me to let enter call girls in the hotel.
Someone at the gate watches the brace (all inclusive) of all people entering.
Can you tell me if there are great hotels (4 or 5 *) at Puerto Plata or Sosua that accept prostitutes to enter ?

If you're going to BB's the bill will be paid in dollars. You can pay the girls in dollars or pesos if you want, as long as you understand how much you're paying, -and just check with them in advance.
For changing money, the best place is Jenny's Supermarket, which you will pass by in Costambar as you approach BB. If taking a cab, just have him pull over. Or, once at the hotel, the supermarket is only a casual 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. Its also a good place to buy some water, soft drinks for the fridge in the room and cheap rum for taking home.

Same here. I usually don't quibble over a few bucks.
My experiences there have been almost universally positive ones, so I usually "tip" to equal the 1500 or 2500 levels.
I only mentioned that those are the max the girls can ASK for, I usually give a little more.
If they spend the night, we usually eat breakfast together as well.If later iin the day and we've enjoyed each other's company, it might be lunch or dinner. (A whole 5-6 bucks).

Read Ponderosa’s Confessions of a Spoon feed Monger posted in the reports of distinction. I like the long time offered at Blackbeards as well. And always leave 2500 Pecos on the table in the morning. It is my favorite place in the Western Hemisphere.

Then they will find some excuse not to spend the night, even if that was what was negotiated. The phone rings, sick baby. That has never happened at Blackbeards.
If you prefer short-time and like to negotiate then you may prefer Sousa. You can get short times for 1000. If you like staying out until 2:00 or 3:00 AM in loud smoking clubs Sousa is for you.
If you are like me and like to be in bed with a naked 20 year old hard body by midnight (even earlier in most cases) you would prefer Blackbeards. At Blackbeards the girls start arriving at 4:00 PM in the afternoon with most are their by 6:00 PM. If the girl has not hooked up with someone by 9:00 PM or so they get a moto-coach to Long Beach or Crystals.
The best part of Blackbeards is the other mongers that you get to know. For the most part Blackbeards clients are 40 – 55 years of age, middle to upper middle class Americans and Canadians. More Europeans go to Sousa and younger and less affluent Americans are also in Sousa.

If BB's isn't your thing, Sosua is not that far away and BB's is chica friendly. This may be a good way to get into the swing of things. If you do bring a local hottie back to BB's make sure she has her celuda as BB's is very strict on this.
Things are a lot more under control at BB's and if that is not your thing, then rethink things and check out the Sosua thread for good recommendations on hotels and a feel for the place. If you are worried about negotiating there, I saw in one thread where a guy stuck a $20 bill on his forehead and it did the negotiations for him. Sosua can get wild and it is a party town. That is the main reason Sosua has a generally younger crowd.
Both venues have their good and bad points.
Being more under control and no need for negotiation brings a little more mature clientele to BB's, but hey, we are all here for the same reason right?

Blackbeards is kind of in the middle of nowhere, but for only two days you should be fine. Sosua is close by and has a lot more activity going on, but a little too far to "commute" back to the room at BB... for me at least. BB is probably your best bet for POP area with no spanish and such a short time in town.
Or ideally, depending on what you are willing to spend, you could stay at one of the Casa Marina all inclusives in Sosua for the typical vacation aspect of the trip and get a cheap room in town so you have a place to bring girls back to.
In any case don't worry about your age. You're not too young for BB or any other place in DR for that matter!

Even Sosua is an older crowd than twentysomething but most guys wish they had discovered this and could have afforded it in their mid twenties.
BB's is great for a short first trip. If you want to mingle with a younger crowd of extranjeros try Caberete, just a bit past Sosua.
