One month the Mustang Ranchis making national News for geting shut down. Three months later its up and running no problem. Lets be clear. I AM NOT COMPLAINING.We all know how corrupt DR can be but I thought this was more a moral issue for the people of the area as opposed to having to lay pay to palm.I guess To quote one of the 20th century's finest poets

After careful review, plans for building turned out and the ranch fuinished the renovation and went on to open 3 months ago.

I was in Puerta Plata with my girlfriend staying at Lifestyle Hacienda on Cofresi Beach in September and met two gentlemen from the area that indicated they were part of a group of individuals that were embarking on a new project that included an all inclusive VIP vacation and full service companionship. We've kept in touch and this is the latest update on the situation. According to Carlos (cool guy I met at Lifestyle) they are almost complete with cataloging the companion options for potential customers and hope to have everything up and running by the new year. Now, as I'm sure most of you are, I am looking forward to these pictures and what they reveal :). The one thing I can comment on for sure is the quality of the resort. According to the website (www.hacienda-resorts.com) this place goes for $3000 PER NIGHT just for the crown villa but I had a hook up and got a much better deal. Needless to say the VIP amenities are definitely top notch at this resort. Top shelf liquor (i'm a remy martin kind of guy and occasinally STOLI), great food, private VIP beach and to top it off this huge villa with a private pool for you and your guests ONLY. with a personal maid that prepares a full breakfast every morning. Now I can't speak for "the mansion" or vikings but for what these guys are offering I'm thinking of giving it a go. As I get more information I'll definitely share with my fellow ISG and **** members. Here's what he sent me so far.

Well if you can afford to spend 3000 bucks per day that`s fair enough, nevertheless i would really suggest you should go to Rio de Janeiro and have the time of your life banging some of the hottest girls on earth, instead of wasting your money at this new resort.

$25 is a small fortune to those guys. Motorcycle taxis only earn around $10 a day. I know this because I used to rent their motorcycle for $10 all day and they'd go home and sleep.

Well fellas. I'm spent! I just finished up my first long stint at Blackbeards' and am currently in the POP Airport awaiting my flight home. I can tell you from experience that the lineup currently is top shelf. There is a fresh crop of newbie girls around that will make your head spin. When I say newbies, I mean REALLY new. I spent time with one lady and it was her first day and I was her first guy (I saw her walk in and my jaw dropped to the floor faster than when Raquel leans over in front of you to grab a plate! ). The ladies I spent time with treated me VERRRY well. I call them THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN! I have plenty of pictures for you guys, including a few from the Bikini Contest. Which I had the privilege of judging! I've also got some intel on another local villa spot and some adventures around POP as well as second hand info from other mongers. Well, I'll be back at the end of February and I'll be bringing a crew of buddies with me. More to follow within the next few days when I get some time away.

Great site a lot of useful information appreciate all the insight and reports. I am kind of new here so was hoping someone could help out. I don't see too much info posted on Mustang Ranch Resort.
I see the all inclusive packages that they have and the place seems pretty nice. Can someone comment on the girls? How many, how hot, GFE? I see with the all inclusive that you get a girl for 4hrs per day. Is that 4hrs of all inclusive? Do the girls stay at the hotel and you pick the girl from the bar? Or do you go to the Club and pick the girls up from there? How much is it if you want her for more than 4hrs? How are the clubs close to there? Are there places I can visit for better rates?
I also see BB, it seems like a good value but I had them send me pics of the girls and they really don't seem that hot. I only see 3-4 of them that I would consider spending some time with. Am I way off on this logic? I'm 33 in good shape and into fit/petite girls with a decent rack.
Are there better places that I should check out?
Appreciate any help anyone can provide. If you ever make it out towards Chicago, I can certainly help out. Also if anyone is going to be there Dec 12-18th let me know, would be cool to get a drink.

Whew, time to decompress. I just got done with a 6 day, 5 night excursion to Blackbeard’s. It amazes me that although this is my sixth trip down since September of last year, each trip is special and has its own personality. I really thought by now this place would be getting stale for me, and someday, maybe soon, it will, but I don’t see that happening yet.
Let me update you on a couple things along with some random rants.
I had to change airports in New York City from LGA to JFK to complete my connections to the DR. I had a somewhat small window of time (3 hours between flights) on my way out and tried to plan accordingly. I went with all carryon baggage to expedite things, but this prevented me from bringing down any small gifts for the girls (dang). I wanted to be frugal about it, but not stupid. As it turned out, I ended up getting a taxi and was quite lucky. Flights were on time and no line for taxis. I actually had close to 2 hours at JFK to kill once I got there. I had more time on my way back between flights and took a bus. Signage at both airports was good for this service near the baggage claim/ground transportation area. The taxi cost $32 US with tip, and the bus was $13 flat.
I arrived in Santiago, DR about 5ish and breezed through customs and got a rental car for my trip to Costambar. I am somewhat seasoned at driving down here and was glad I made it out of Santiago before dark. I will tell you the trip from there was HAIRY! Although the roads from just outside Santiago were much more sparse with traffic, many motoconchos and some cars had no lights whatsoever. There was one time in particular I went to pass a slow moving truck on a straight area, and as I pulled out to pass I came head on to a motoconcho coming at me with no lights. OMG! I took my time the rest of the way, but this was not the way I wanted to start my vacation.
I got into BBs about 7:30 in the evening and was surprised not to see many chicas. When I got to the front desk I found out they were all in the volleyball area for “mandatory” bikini volleyball. No problem, I wanted to settle in my room first anyway, freshen up and see if I could find a honey for the night. As many of you know, I like having a special girl down there, and on my last trip I hooked up with one, after my previous “novia” left BBs for a better life. To my surprise, one of the girls recognized me as I went to my room, told my new novia and she greeted me as I came downstairs by the restaurant. Made my day! These girls have a lot of clients and I didn’t even know if she would even remember me. She not only remembered me, she seemed just as excited to see me (and probably my wallet) as I was to see her. Hey, this is my vacation and my fantasy, so I ran with it.
After catching up over a cerveca, I booked her for TLN that night, my last night and my middle night. I was a free spirit in between these “dates”. I went over things on my last trip with her that she is my “Dominican esposa” while I am here, but this is my vacation and I will be with other girls outside of our TLNs. Understood. We took up where we left off and the sex, and (believe it or not), intimacy was great. I know a lot of you guys will think I am off my rocker here, but once you get to know the “sweet” ones (the non-players) here they are unbelievably sweet and consistently give GFE to me. Being known as a nice guy and especially being able to speak at least some of their language helps greatly here.
David retired a little bit ago as General Manager here, and Tim is leaving in a couple weeks to start a new enterprise with a couple of guys he met at BBs. The new GM is Paco (not his real name, but everyone here knows him as Paco) and Javier (pardon any spelling errors here) is taking over for Tim. Nice guys, here is hoping they do a good job and carry on in David’s and Tim’s footsteps.
Many new faces here. Little petite, light skinned Annie is gone. I also missed a few other regulars, but didn’t ask around about them. I was with about 4 or so girls that have been there less than a month, some less than a week. Good quality and many fresh faces. One spinner comes to mind, Maria-Marcelina (she goes by Isabella also - too many Marias there) was enthusiastic and gave great service. I had a couple clunkers (sometimes for whatever reason you don’t connect), but hey, like Woody Allen said in one of his movies a long time ago, “even bad sex is good”.
A good crew of guys was there also. Had some terrific “guy time”. Met Rodeo, and was able to catch up again with Third World and a buddy of his. Actually I think I caused one of my girls to be a clunker because right after I ordered lunch I ran into him and spent the next half hour more or less catching up, thus ignoring my chica. But hey, it was worth it.
I broke one of my rules this time as I decided to take my novia home after my Friday TLN to save her some motoconcho and autobus money (about 300 pesos each way between motoconcho and autobus). She lives in a small town about 30 minutes away from Costambar on the way to Santiago. Immediately after finding out in the evening I was going to take her home, she calls her sister who watches her kids there to clean up the house and make it nice for me, as well as to meet her family. In my head I said “this could be a mistake”, but I still went ahead with it.
After another night of GREAT GFE, we took our time, had breakfast and headed off to her place. Made it to her small Pueblo and went down the main road to another semi-nice main road, up a hill, then a dirt and rutted out road. I parked my car there and we walked a bit to her place. What an eye opener. She was so proud of her house. I saw this pride and so I was proud for her as well, but I tell you, by ours standards it was little more than a 20ft by 20ft shanty. Every possession in the world was in that small place. Met her family and she was so proud to show me off. This was more than a little uncomfortable for me, but definitely an eye opening experience to how these girls live and why they join this profession. Now understand my “Dominican esposa” has been told many times she is my girl only when I am down there, and when I am gone, although she is special, there is no more money, no nothing, nada. I hope I didn’t screw up here, but I went with the flow. If she gets possessive, a “divorce” is imminent.

It rained as the contest was to begin so we moved inside the restaurant area. I did miss the parade around the pool, but again, go with the flow. I will let Rodeo fill you in on the details. I hope his pictures are good as my camera batteries went down and I kept forgetting to replace them when I needed to. Scarlet won and it was well deserved. I thought this was one of the best quality Bikini contests I had seen and this makes my third, but first as a judge. Any of the top five could have won on my first two contests.
My last night as mentioned before was with my novia. During our dinner together we agreed not to talk about me leaving until the next day, with the only exception to make sure we had to get up early as my flight from Santiago to NYC was at 11:45. It was a great evening tempered with sadness knowing I was to go. I talked with her and we agreed that this night there was only her and I, no BBs, no familia, no nothing but us two. Very romantic and the sex and companionship as well as intimacy was on another level. A few tears were shed as we completed our love making and we went to sleep.
The next morning arrived and we both did well. On several of my other trips down I had always seen some guy my age being met or getting let off by a young Dominican chica and I always smiled to myself. I never thought this would happen to me. My chica insisted on sending me off even though she had never gone to the airport there before. Saying goodbye was tough as we got lost in the city for a bit, and I had to gas up the car. I checked in and we had 5 minutes for our “adios”. I will miss her, but my life is in the USA with my children and extended family.
I will go to BBs on my next trip, but I do have a bit of an itch for something else. I may never do it, but if I do change venues here in the DR, I may go straight for the non-pro/semi-pro/novia scene. My Spanish is getting better and is approaching an intermediate level (congregating verbs is my current weak spot). My biggest problem here is that I DO see these chicas as ladies, and if I do get a true non-pro novia I know myself well enough that guilt may kick in with the thought of being the first to “corrupt” her. I know, I know, whether I am the first or not, I will most assuredly not be the last, but I have daughters the age of these chicas. At least in the pro scene I understand that I wasn’t the one to “deflower” them.

I will be back at BB's in a couple weeks. I almost canceled. Cant make up my mind if I want to go back. The thought of alot of new girls helps. I got a semi regular that does not want to come back to BB's to see me. I dont know what to do about that. She wants me to stay somewhere else. Don't trust her enough to try it. May try Alantica by Solo Mio for a night or 2 just to see her.

It rained as the contest was to begin so we moved inside the restaurant area. I did miss the parade around the pool, but again, go with the flow. I will let Rodeo fill you in on the details. I hope his pictures are good as my camera batteries went down and I kept forgetting to replace them when I needed to. Scarlet won and it was well deserved. I thought this was one of the best quality Bikini contests I had seen and this makes my third, but first as a judge. Any of the top five could have won on my first two contests.
My last night as mentioned before was with my novia. During our dinner together we agreed not to talk about me leaving until the next day, with the only exception to make sure we had to get up early as my flight from Santiago to NYC was at 11:45. It was a great evening tempered with sadness knowing I was to go. I talked with her and we agreed that this night there was only her and I, no BBs, no familia, no nothing but us two. Thanks for the post. I, too, just got back (11/12) though this was my first trip down and I spent it in an all-inclusive in Sosua because i wanted a safe base to fall back to. I'm glad to see I am not the only one that is affected by the girls. Some of the guys on here seem abusive, I'm not into degrading the girls (yeah, I know I am degrading them probably just by being with them). I bar-fined a girl out of Passions and she "needed" to stop at home so I took her. I was affected by seeing where she lived, meeting her mother, holding her 1 yr old daughter. Okay, so as soon as I stepped off the plane, I had this big ass shit-eating grin on my face…knowing the completely off the hook time I was about to have with some of the honies a Blackbeards’. For the first time, I checked a bag and was worried as hell it would get lost. No worries necessary though, bag arrived without incident. So, I get my bag and head out to the taxi area. Dude had the Blackbeards sign with my name and some other dude’s name, waited about 5-10 min for the other dude and then we were off! Talked to the other guy and he said he had been there like 7 other times before and was telling me how much Puerto Plata has changed over the years. Again, one of the other great parts of the trip is always sharing stories with other guys.
We get there and immediately are recognized by our ‘fans’! The girls didn’t run up with hugs, but, the waitresses sure did! Checked in, paid for the rooms in advance. As always, and exchanged money. I forgot to buy some Viagara for my boy back home, but, I hooked him up with some of my Levitra stash.

Today was Bikini Contest day and I had volunteered myself to be a judge! Gleny and I woke up at about 10: 30 and she offered to take me to a good place to eat. By scooter of course! Ponderosa, BTW, I met you about a year or more ago at BB's, do you remember? Anyway, I've never stayed at CMR, however my bud and I stopped by there last week and got a full tour.
The place was dead and devoid of any female presence. The rooms we were shown were not pretty, but the were relatively cheap ($50 for just the room,-1BR, $100 for 2 BR). The common grounds were recently upgraded and looked nice.
They have several packages. The premium is $179 per night. They transport you to the nightclub and you choose a chica to bring back to the ranch for 4 hours.
I stayed at this place when it was FOD and I had a great time, mainly because during the day, chicas would stop by and hang out with us. CMR did not have a good vibe to me.
However, that is just my humble opinion. To illustrate, you and many guys on this board still love BB's. I stayed there twice and had a great time, but I could never stay there again. It is way too confining and the chicas, food, music, decor and vibe are just tired. I have visited there for an afternoon 3 times in the past year and my feelings were confirmed. However, many guys still love the place so more power to them.
I would have never thought that clothes would actually be a good bargaining tool.Anybody else have experience with that tactic? Until those pics, I always thought it was corny. In addition it went against my religion to purchase clothing for women.Along with getting hair and nails done and paying 2000 pesos for their "time".I STAND CORRECTED. How do you know what to bring? the DR chicks seem into name brands but often wear knock offs. Are those sufficient?

I just returned from staying at BB's too from November 11th-13th and I must say they did have some pretty new girls there and some old faces but overall I had a good time. But I had a great time in Sosua 4 days before!
I arrived at BB's around noon Sunday and when I checked in, it was only about 7 girls out! Some familiar faces like Ana, Gleny, Daya and Santa etc. They all showed me and my buddy love as we entered the grounds. Sunday's day shift was kinda disappointing after leaving Sosua and walking into that. I was still tired from the night before so I just relaxed at the bar talking to a couple chicas when I ran into Ponderosa while I was waiting for my food. (I'm thinking okay Ponderosa got him a nice one LOL! ) He told me the bikini contest the day before had some pretty girls and he finally got a chance to be a judge. But the advice he gave me that stuck in my head and came back to bite me was:

I vowed on these pocket full of pesos that I didn't get a chance to spend today, that my next day would be a whole lot better......to be continued.....

Mangu is a nice club located in Playa Dorado grounds. It's a mixture of locals and hotel guests from the all inclusive hotels along with others. Real nice atmosphere with some nice looking ladies. I had to pay like $6 US each time I went but overall had a nice time. Not everyone but mostly everyone dressed real nice in theer. i like it..it's not as aggressive as Classico and the clubs in Sosua so you can dance and drink without that pressure of girls but they still are in there watching you hoping you select em to take them home LOL!

Why do you have to find a gem at BB's? Gems can be found all over the island. Get a hotel inn PP, Sosua or Cabarete and have your GFE there.

BBs has been a round for a few years and is a known quantity.
I think you'll find the quality of accommodations, food and girls very good.
For assistance, see Charo or Elizabeth, who are there to assist guests with finding the "right" girl.
In my opinion, "Mustang Ranch" (same ownership as Cristal's) is not yet a proven value. Mixed reports raise some doubts. It seems it may be the typical "rip-off" set-up with cheap booze, poor-quality food, etc.
Mangu at Playa Dorada is the best option for discos, and you can try your luck over there as well. A 20-minute cab ride from BB.
I have personally stayed at The Mustang Ranch and I must say the Cristal Group (Cristal nightclub, Cristal Rio and now The Mustang Ranch) have been around for 10 years in Puerto Plata, they have proven to be the authority for the adult industry and know for the best quality for the most reasonable price. Lino the owner, has gone out of his way many times to make clients feel comfortable and at home at his establishments, I found that The Ranch is new and clean, food is amazing, the bars are beautiful and the women are some of the best quality Puerto Plata has to offer, they come from all over D. R. To work for Lino, because of his reputation. Rather than taking someone else's word that has not been there yet, I would suggest you book 2 or 3 nights at the Ranch, you won't be disappointed www.mustangranchresort.com
As to BB's, never been there only drove by once and I did not like the area, other than that I will not comment! Unlike others that have no Idea what they are talking about.

Thanks. I've found mostly positive reports from BB's. It seems to be a proven choice. The only way to know. Is to go. I am curious as to what the discos or nightclubs are like as well. I'm sure there will be a few 'frequent flyers' to S. D. Sitting around BB's and they'll be willing to give me their preferences. I have a week to burn in Feb. But I think I'll only spend 4 nights there. I've read that a long weekend should do it. If it's as good as I imagine and as some of the pictures I've seen, I'll just return again. That'll let you know rather quickly whether its worth hanging around for the full length of your stay as MOST of the girls are at the contest. Good place to stay in Sosua is the new garden hotel. Girl friendly,centrally located, close to the action, ac, safe, and for round about 50 bucks per night.
Other options might be the hotel Europe in sosua towards the end of pedro clisante street or the hotel voramar at the playa chiquita.
Just google those names and you get to their webpages for any additional information.
The best choice would probably be the newgarden hotel.

You might be able to save a few bucks for more punting activities. I was concerned about this receipt thing also and found BB's to be discreat in this area also.
The cash hotel and bar bill receipts from Barba Negra have no hotel info on them whatsoever when you get it as you check out. I just checked the one I got the other week from there, absolutely no hotel mentioned or address/phone number. If you use a credit card it does not show up in BB's name. You can contact BB's for how it exactly shows up on your bill for paper trail purposes and they will let you know. I know it is not in Blackbeard's name. I was concerned about this on my first trip also.
By the way, if someone should suspect you are staying there from the "outside world" and calls the hotel asking for you, standard practice there is to tell the person calling they never heard of you in their life and then let you know you had a call so you can casually do your normal check in and find out if it is something important to call home about.
I give nobody my hotel phone when in the DR and carry my cell phone for emergencies. Look through the threads in gereral info on this subject, it has some good info. I contact my cell phone provider when I go down and get international calling so I can get voicemail and call home with my cell in a pinch.
I let people from home know this is a third world country and phone and internet are spotty at best - which has some truth to it. To "save money" I let those who need to know I will be in internet contact with them and check emails daily. BB's has free internet and a computer to check emails or you can bring your own computer and use their free wi-fi. The safes there are not big enough for laptops, but I have brought mine down with me on every trip and had no problems.

I also booked a place in Sousa as I needed a receipt from a regular hotel just in case. When you google the name of the hotel receipt, it brings you back to BB's site. Just need a safe paper trail.
Any of you ever been to a place called Kaoba over in the Cabarete area? It is a one time taxi over to check in then to get to BB's for the week.

You might be able to save a few bucks for more punting activities. I was concerned about this receipt thing also and found BB's to be discreat in this area also.
The cash hotel and bar bill receipts from Barba Negra have no hotel info on them whatsoever when you get it as you check out. I just checked the one I got the other week from there, absolutely no hotel mentioned or address/phone number. If you use a credit card it does not show up in BB's name. You can contact BB's for how it exactly shows up on your bill for paper trail purposes and they will let you know. I know it is not in Blackbeard's name. I was concerned about this on my first trip also.
By the way, if someone should suspect you are staying there from the "outside world" and calls the hotel asking for you, standard practice there is to tell the person calling they never heard of you in their life and then let you know you had a call so you can casually do your normal check in and find out if it is something important to call home about.
I give nobody my hotel phone when in the DR and carry my cell phone for emergencies. Look through the threads in gereral info on this subject, it has some good info. I contact my cell phone provider when I go down and get international calling so I can get voicemail and call home with my cell in a pinch.
I let people from home know this is a third world country and phone and internet are spotty at best - which has some truth to it. To "save money" I let those who need to know I will be in internet contact with them and check emails daily. BB's has free internet and a computer to check emails or you can bring your own computer and use their free wi-fi. The safes there are not big enough for laptops, but I have brought mine down with me on every trip and had no problems.

I know this report is old but I had it save because I wasn't finished. Ponderosa pulled my coat about it so here it is:
Day 2
I woke up on Monday morning with a lil chip on my shoulder because of the day before. So I headed to breakfast around 8:30 am and ordered my food. i was served around 9 and as I was watching Dallas Cowboy highlights on espn I seen the hazel eyed girl (Ana) from last night come downstairs and sat with the 5 girls at the bar. I finished my breakfast, paid Raquel and told her to come with me. When we entered the room, my buddy was in the bathroom so i told her let's wait until he's done because i wanted to get her in that big bed cuz she' s a big girl. I have personally stayed at The Mustang Ranch and I must say the Cristal Group (Cristal nightclub, Cristal Rio and now The Mustang Ranch) have been around for 10 years in Puerto Plata, they have proven to be the authority for the adult industry and know for the best quality for the most reasonable price. Lino the owner, has gone out of his way many times to make clients feel comfortable and at home at his establishments, I found that The Ranch is new and clean, food is amazing, the bars are beautiful and the women are some of the best quality Puerto Plata has to offer, they come from all over D. R. To work for Lino, because of his reputation. As to BB's, never been there only drove by once and I did not like the area, other than that I will not comment! Unlike others that have no Idea what they are talking about.

A couple of weeks ago my buddy and I got into DR, it was late and about dark so we just asked taxi driver to take us to a good hotel for chicas. We ended up at Mustang....Don't bother with the place unless all ya want is a nice place to sleep. Even then its too much. $80 dollars a night for their version of "AI" but that is only for dinner, breakfast, room and drinks ...... but the booz you get is only the cheap nasty shit that no one wants to drink! Cant even have a presidente for the $80. We elected to just pay for the rooms and then just buy a few drinks and have some dinner figuring how much could it really cost. Had a couple of drinks and then went for dinner at their restaurant in the hotel. The food is cheap frozen shit and they charged 5 star price. Dinner for me and my buddy was 80 dollars! Nothing fancy just some shrimp(plate might have had 10 very small shrimp on it), rice, beans and some chicken..... oh and sodas at 4 dollars for a coke! WTF? OH! and there was no one else there, so I guess we had to pay the wages for the bar tender, the waitress and the cook. Then...... they said if we wanted a girl they would take us to their club to pick one out and it would cost $120 dollars for an hour with a girl..... Needless to say we both declined that too. The owner came by later on and offered us a drink "on the house" we declined and told him his place is a rip off. I called my buddy from Costambar and asked him to bring us a car to drive, and went to bed. Woke up the next morning and got the hell outta there and on to better things. I'm not cheapskate A-hole but holy hell! the place is obviously nothing more than a rip off joint....... They even tried to make it look good and lie, trying to say that they were very busy and all the rooms were rented but NO ONE showed up all night except the few people that wanted to come in and watch the game on projection TV at the bar. Then they left as soon as the game was over. The place was empty anyhow, but by 11:00 it was a ture ghost town. Not a sole to be found except my buddy and I. The owner looks Dominican... so I guess he is getting a little carried away with the "I am gonna take those gringos for everything they got" attitude. Or maybe he bit off a little more than he can chew and is sinking already... who knows.

I check out the Ranch in November did not stay the place was dead they told me they that a President was a premium beer at 150 peso WTF I did not eat but check the all included menu it was pitiful It a shame the place has potential.

Hey. I have Christmas week off. I've been to the DR like 10 times in the last 4 years but never during the Christmas holidays. Has anyone had an expereince being down at Black beards during the Christmas Holidays?? i know the culture there is very family oriented especially for holidays. Will I be wasting my time if i go during the Chistmas holiday. If so, what about the other places like in sosua or the clubs in PP.

If the MR owner would drop the standard Cristal strategy of overpriced services and offered good service at a good price, I think the place would do well.
I hope the owner wises up.
Offer a "discount" on the girls from Cristals, but drop the "all incusive" gimmick and just a restaurant/bar offering decent food and drink and less than rip-off prices, and the customers will come.
If they do, I'll give it a try myself.

Offer a "discount" on the girls from Cristals, but drop the "all incusive" gimmick and just a restaurant/bar offering decent food and drink and less than rip-off prices, and the customers will come.
If they do, I'll give it a try myself.
Yanqui69Guys, I do all their bookings now in the US, The Ranch is not for everyone, there are different budgets and different deals, there are some better things than most places and there are some things that are more expensive, I have never had a complaint for any legitimate client so far and further more we have never advertise or try to steal people from other places by talking shit about them and we book everyday and the ranch is getting more hits than ever. I suggest that if the price is too high, then you stay in your usual place in D.R. noone expects anyone to change, just like I can't afford Vikings' resort some can't afford The Ranch! The Ranch can't make everyone happy but Cristal has been the most successful adult club for 10 years and the owners must be doing something right! don't forget noone knows that the Ranch is even open and that is how the owner wants it until the second floor and the main road into the location is finished. Anyways, thanks for the comments, great to understand how everyone feels.

Hello to everyone,
I will be going the Black Beard Resort in Costambar for 3 days from Dec. 14th until Dec. 16th. It will be my third time there. But for the 5 days after that, I will go for the remaining of my trip to a nice condo resort in Cabarete.
(PS: If any of you plan to be there around that time, please PM me).
Personnally, I like BB very much but I feel I don't like to stay there more than 3 days, due to the fact, among other things, that the area of Costambar is not all that great and that to see anything worth it you have to constantly take expensive cabs. But the BB resort, as such, is great and well managed.
As for Mustang Ranch, I went there when it was the old administration of the Field of Dreams, so I can't really talk with autorithy. The place is nice but the beach is at a 15 minutes walk and while it's a nice beach, it's used by lots of Canadians and Americans from all inclusive resorts who stare at you when you walk in the company of a young dominican girl.

I have personally booked 57 of the clients that have stayed there and never had a complaint. Again, this is not about me, you are turning nothing into something! I have since been there 4 times and got exactly what I was looking for. I don't want a bikini show, and I don't want to be 30 minutes away from the city like other places are. I want to be in the center of all with the chicas I chose to be by my side in a clean, safe, hassle free environment. That is what I like and that is what the Ranch offers me, not everyone has different taste, that is what makes the world go around! have a nice day.

This is an interesting situation. May I throw my 2 cents in on this.
Yanqui, you have provided us on the prestigious ISG board with unbiased, unsolicited information on the Mustang Ranch (MR). As part of your providing this information, your position of neutrality has been and remains central to the presentation of such. Maintaining the prized position you have so diligently strived for is most certainly a valuable commodity you dare not disrespect. During the course of your banter back and forth you have been offered a 3 day “free pass” to the MR.
Herein lies the quandary.
How can you retain such neutrality and not compromise the unique and envied position you have worked so hard to achieve by accepting this offer? Simply by accepting this “comp” you may jeopardize your entire credibility on this board. Just taking Lino up on his offer is totally counterproductive to the prized position you currently occupy as a distinguished Senior Member of the ISG. I wouldn’t want to be in your shoes.
I do however have a solution.
Give me your 3 day comp.
I will furnish you with a report that you can then pass on to the board. Anyone who accuses me just wanting a couple free nights in the DR, I can reply “Yeah…OK…So What?”. My reputation sucks anyway and I am fully prepared to accept the barbs and arrows that will most assuredly come my way. I will fully disclose that I have been comped on the hotel and “then cross my heart and hope to die, stick a finger in my eye” that I will give an unbiased report. Yes indeed, unbiased reporting would be key. Hence the reason I offered to accept comp only one day (as I already have a place I paid for during my upcoming stay in the DR north coast) and I was going to pay for the chicas and sample at least 2 (to be fair in case one sucks...no pun intended).
I would be interested in staying at MR in the future but not with the iffy reports coming out of there currently.
At any rate, if management accepts, I will do it for one day and report back on quality of accomodation, chica, attitudes, pricing, and peripherals

They usually contact you within a week of your trip to confirm you are still coming. If you are a little nervous, just email them to reconfirm your reservation. Easy to do and eliminates any doubts.

I will be at Oxygen retreat for a few days (I know you giuys believe this place s a waste of money, but being this my first time in DR I would not venture on my own) but my airline flight was only available one day before my booking with oxygen and my return is one day after my vacation at oxygen. Therefore I am looking to stay somewhere for 2 nights, one the day before my vacation and the second after my last day at oxygen.
Anyway, I did look into BB and they have availability, then my problem is that BB is at the opposite end of Cabarete and they do not have airport transfer service. So this will be a problem for oxygen to drive me from BB to their retreat. So, then I turned to MR and see they are much closer to cabarete, in fact, they are suppossed to be near Playa Dorada which is close to oxygen and I would have other activities at thebig resorts if I do not like what i see at MR. In reality, I am looking for a place to crash and decent food. All resorts I've looked into around Playa Dorada or Puerto Plata are above what I want to pay or there is not availability for the dates I want or they want to force me to book for a minimum # of days.
I would also consider any suggestions/alternatives

BB DOES offer transportation. Just email them with your flight info, and they'll be at the airport to pick you up. Also, they'll gladly arrange for a taxi to take you wherever you need to go (and the "other side of Cabarete" really isn't that far :-)
I highly recommend that you spend a day or two at BBs, and the reasons you've given to not do so are, in my humble opinion, not sufficient to deny yourself such a pleasure (and this is from someone who spent 6 days at Vikings earlier this year).

Tripp has been there before. Go into the Reports of Distinction thread here and you will find an exhaustive report on his time at Vikings, a very similar resort to the one you are going to. His advice is coming from experience. He has sampled both venues.
I am not dissing the MR. It is closer to Puerto Plata and the owner does own a strip club in PP. The MR is very new and has not gotten any type of consistant reviews. If there is any consistancy in the reports it actually seems negative. I will tell you I am a big BB's fan in all fairness, but go through the posts here and the posts will speak for themselves. BB's is far more established in this field and provides a laid back, no pressure experience. Girls sit around waiting for you to "ask them out", pricing for chicas is prenegotiated, the hotel is clean and the restaurant on site is quite palletable. I assume your main objective in visiting the DR is not for the cultural experience.
BB's aranges taxi pickup at the airport for about $40 bucks. There is a small taxi company located a couple blocks behind BB's and they can take you over to Cabarete when you need, or where ever you arange the driver from Oxygen to meet you.
The recent banter on MR stems out of jest in that the only way we at ISG will get unbiased reviews for the MR is to have a complimentary stay there. The only positive reviews of the place are from a guy who got comps there and is affiliated with the place. When you read the forums be sure to have your "BS meter" out to filter through what is good advice and who has an agenda (heck, I am sure there are those who filter me out thinking I am a shill for BB's - I really don't care).
Really I envy you here. If money was not the issue I would sample a place like Oxygen, but to hear a guy like Tripp recommend BB's speaks VOLUMES.

Actually I think you summed things up well with the MR. I think the idea of the MR is sound, but running a strip club/wh*rehouse is far different than running a hotel with take out/delivery options. I'm sure if Billy were here he would be the first to agree.
I am far from the expert here, but lower introductory pricing, proper placements of "advertising", lienient deposit policies, positive feedback over time from all the forums (from credible sources), etc. would all be things that I would consider in making a business plan for them among alot of other things. Heck even the idea of giving away complimentary stays in some kind of contest I mentioned earlier would be an thought here. You just cannot go under the idea of "If I build it, they will come". That only works in the movies.
One of the reasons that his competition got to where they are at is that they had a plan and progressed slowly. It will cost more than just paint and refurbushing, as well as greased palms, to get the MR up and running. He should not be done with start up costs if he wants an earlier return on investment, that he may or may not get back. The clock is going tick-tock, tick-tock.
The MR does have several very positive things going for it. Proximity to Puerto Plata (and especially Playa Dorada), access to chicas from his strip club, the name Cristals which is well known in the area, etc. are all things going for it. Lino cannot be a stupid guy as he has been able to build up a business like his strip club, so there is some hope here. He can't operate with the attitude that he is the only game in town, and right now his competition is more from BB's than from Vikings, Oxygen and the like. One day he may be able to move the bar to where he is the mid level competition to the high priced All Inclusives, but that is not today.
My 2 cents on how to solve one of the worlds most pressing problems in 4 paragraphs or less.

I've been browsing through the photos over the past few days and I have to say that I'm a bit disappointed with the women. I don't mean to come across as a jerk but I prefer spending time with one superhot babe for a few days compared to plowing through a huge number of women. I've been on mongering trips to Colombia and Brazil and as a comparison, the quality seems a bit lower. I think you will find that the Dominican women are much more attractive than you think. What the photos often don't capture are the stunning smiles, white teeth, smooth skin, the eye contact, and the personality of the young women you will meet.

I was blown away at how truly pretty the girls in Brazil were despite going with lower expectations based on photos.
My buddy who has been to Brazil, Colombia, and Dominican on mongering trips says that DR is very different than but Brazil and Colombia, but its got a unique charm that I should love. I'm going with high hopes and will post a review.

I can appreciate your criticism. However, that doesn't mean I agree. I mean, from the photos posted both here and moreso in the photo gallery...in most countries' threads, the women look pretty bottom of the barrel in my opinion. Most are never of the caliber that I would pick. Of course, sometimes you have to think of other factors that lead to guys posting pictures:
- I've found that most of the more attractive girls do not allow photos of them
- Maybe the guy really connected with a girl as far as chemistry goes and thus, she had a great attitude which is why he photographed her
- Beer goggles?
- And, of course, we all have different tastes

I have made it a goal to get to China or Japan within the next three years and just see what happens. Point is. Don't limit yourself based on preconceptions. You're obviously entitled to your preference, but as a brother of the hobby, I'd encourage you to embrace not only DomRep and all the ladies they have to offer, but also the other women of the world. They all have something to offer and will leave an indeliable mark on you in one way or another. I've had great times in both Colombia and DomRep, but they were two TOTALLY different types of women and experiences. Yes. They also carry the generic brands of both viagra and cialis. I am not sure of the generic on levitra but you can ask. No prescription is necessary. Bring your own condoms with you as I would NOT trust the ones they sell down there.
Since you are going to BB's you can find a nice small pharmacy right after you enter the gated area to Costambar. Less than a minute after you enter you will see Jenny's Market on the right. Just past that you will see the pharmacy on the left.
If you are coming in by taxi, you can have the taxi stop there as it is on the way to BB's. It is also within walking distance from BB's (about a 7-10 minute walk) if you want to do it that way. By the way, Jenny's Market is a good place to exchange money and gives you about 1 to 1 1/2 pesos per dollar better than exchanging at the hotel. US dollars in cash is the best way to pay for your room as you check in and for food/bar bill as you check out.
The pharmacy usually has someone there who speaks english and Jenny's will understand you want to exchange money (cambio in Spanish) if you just show it to them.

As Ponderosa said there is a pharmacy (not open on Sunday) across the street from Jennys. Ask for LaPella it is the DR brand of Cialis. Very cheap and little or no side effects. I have used it seveal times towards the end of my 6-8 days trips.
Condoms....as was stated already....bring your own....and bring more than you think you could ever hope to use. You may be amazed at how many you will use. If you are with two girls and want to go from one to the other you will need to change each time. It is also nice to be able to help another guest that may have run out or lost his bags for a day or two. The DR condoms are just not good!!

5 years ago this was just a resort hotel before John bought it and turned it into Blackbeards. "The Sandtrap inn" was just a fledgling hotel catering to mostly some European guests. There were no girls, no working jacuzzi or outside fountain. There was no dinner service or the nice amenities it is now.
Occassionally a motoconcho girl or 2 would show up if they learned of a single guy staying. Other then that the options for chicas were the clubs on the maleocon, car wash girls and seedy bars off Avenue Colon in Puerta Plata. There were also girls working the beach in Costambar. Lots of girls were available but you had to go out and get them.
You are right when you talk about quality now. And I agree that it's nice to have these girls readily available when you go to BB's. But I also remember a time when you could pick up a girl hitchiking, at a supermarket or just walking the Maleocon. I actually had to work a little which for me made the payoff enjoyable.
I also never had to pay more than 500 pesos. Because that was then and this is now. When I went to Sosua a few months back I was shocked that some of the girls in Classicos were initially asking over 2000 pesos, and getting it!

To say I had a good time just wouldn't do BB's any justice. I can't wait to go back in March wish I could hook with you and your squad from college in feb but my kid got that month locked down. What I have learned from your reports and saw from other guys who came through there is gifts go a LONG way. So to all reading this trying to decide what to do expect bring etc. Take some inexpensive gifts they help in negotiations. I usually check my carry-on suitcase on the outward journey, because I carry bottles of shampoo, toothpaste, body lotion for my novia. You are also allowed a second small item that you can carry with you, so I take a small soft-sided cooler/lunchbox in which I put my passport, i-Pod, camera, pens, medications and anything of value that I don't want to put in checked baggage.
On the return journey I can carry on both pieces and save time getting through customs. At Puerto Plata I find the checked baggage comes pretty quickly and I have never lost a bag.
Alternatively, when you arrive ask the taxi that takes you to BB to stop en route at the supermarket at Long Beach. There is an ATM outside if you need money, and you can definitely get peanut butter there.

In the past I have made numerous visits to My Wild Vacation and Total Satisfaction in Venezuela (Margarita Island), and had a good time at both. I have high hopes that I will like BB's better.
Do any of the BB veterans on this board have any previous experience at the two above Venezuela resorts? If yes, I would be interested in hearing your comparisons as to similarities, differences, overall opinions of the experience.

While I intended to stay from the 31st to the 6th, when I called I was advised that I would have to pay for the entire stay up front. I am not comfortable with this, as I would rather pay cash day by day or secure with a credit card and pay at checkout. This way I can leave for a day or check out early, where as in this case I am locked in, and that shit just bothers me.
Why do they operate this way? Back in January I was at Giotto's in BKK which simply secured with a CC but Giotto basically said "I trust you" as I stayed in his top of the line suite on good faith. In the end my five day trip turned into two weeks and a somewhat hefty bill, which was good for him since his water pump had just broke!
I know you guys rave about this place... what do you think? Am I being a douche bag about this?

Tripp has been there before. Go into the Reports of Distinction thread here and you will find an exhaustive report on his time at Vikings, a very similar resort to the one you are going to. His advice is coming from experience. He has sampled both venues.
I am not dissing the MR. It is closer to Puerto Plata and the owner does own a strip club in PP. The MR is very new and has not gotten any type of consistant reviews. If there is any consistancy in the reports it actually seems negative. I will tell you I am a big BB's fan in all fairness, but go through the posts here and the posts will speak for themselves. BB's is far more established in this field and provides a laid back, no pressure experience. Girls sit around waiting for you to "ask them out", pricing for chicas is prenegotiated, the hotel is clean and the restaurant on site is quite palletable. I assume your main objective in visiting the DR is not for the cultural experience.
BB's aranges taxi pickup at the airport for about $40 bucks. There is a small taxi company located a couple blocks behind BB's and they can take you over to Cabarete when you need, or where ever you arange the driver from Oxygen to meet you.
The recent banter on MR stems out of jest in that the only way we at ISG will get unbiased reviews for the MR is to have a complimentary stay there. The only positive reviews of the place are from a guy who got comps there and is affiliated with the place. When you read the forums be sure to have your "BS meter" out to filter through what is good advice and who has an agenda (heck, I am sure there are those who filter me out thinking I am a shill for BB's - I really don't care).
Really I envy you here. If money was not the issue I would sample a place like Oxygen, but to hear a guy like Tripp recommend BB's speaks VOLUMES.Ok, I want to thank all of your advice and recommendations. here is my intinerary

Well right now is the high season in the D.R. with the time period from right before christmas over new year till the end of the first week in january being the busiest time of the whole year for hotels.
I guess by paying up front BB just wants to make sure that you show up indeed and not only make a reservation.
Maybe they have had some bad experiences with guests in the past who made reservations for this period of time and did not show up, and BB lost some business.

When I have stayed there, I reserved and secured the reservation with a card, but did not pay in advance. I paid in cash when I arrived.
I agree with the other post, that this may be due to the season. It would be worth finding out if this is a change in policy.
In the past, they have been pretty liberal about cancellations, but they may have been abused a little as a result.
If anyone finds out if this is a policy change, please post it.

I have been going to BB's for almost two years and have stayed there 12+ times (lost count) at various times of year. The policy of paying for the nights up front has always been the policy regardless of the season. As to the reason for the policy I can only guess. I do not find anything wrong with paying up front for your room. I pay with Travelers Checks. I would ask what happens if you need to check out a couple of days (depending on your length of stay) early. I charge all of my bar tabs and meals on my to my room and check it every other day. I have never had any problems doing this.

I tell the cleaning crew that they can skip my room. I also tell the front desk people where I will be and when I expect to return in the event there is a problem.
As I have said before the place meets all of my needs and I like the comfort and security. They run a tight ship. Just my two cents.

I think they are sick of people making reservations and then not showing, leaving them with an empty room at peak season.
I would not worry about paying upfront as BB is a reputable and well-run hotel. It is not a fly-by-night place teetering on bankrupcy and I am pretty sure your money would be safe.
Of course, if you had to cancel the trip, then who knows? Maybe they would give you credit towards a future stay. I think if you were honest with them and called then and explained why you could not come, then they would be fair with you and work something out.
At the Mercure Hotel in Santo Domingo you have to pay upfront to get the cheap Internet rate. It has always worked for me.

I have been going to BB's for almost two years and have stayed there 12+ times (lost count) at various times of year. The policy of paying for the nights up front has always been the policy regardless of the season. As to the reason for the policy I can only guess. I do not find anything wrong with paying up front for your room. I pay with Travelers Checks. I would ask what happens if you need to check out a couple of days (depending on your length of stay) early. I charge all of my bar tabs and meals on my to my room and check it every other day. I have never had any problems doing this.

2JThat is a new tactic. They take a deposit and then you pay at the end. Always been my experience. Guess they changed things. Could be you are trying to get in last minute and they have only a handful of rooms left and thus do not want to lose the potential income if you do not show up.

I've usually paid for the full stay in cash upon arrival.
(One way to make sure my bill will get paid and I can't accidentally end up short of cash on the lsst day).

This report is for those who are interested in information on Oxygen Retreat which is all-inclusive. No offense to those who are fans of Blackbeards, but from the photos that I've seen posted, I chose Oxygen Retreat instead. I will attach some photos that are representative of what was available when I was there and let you be the judge.
At Oxygen Retreat you get coupons that entitle you to 2 to 4 girls for a two hour session and one girl for overnight, depending upon which package that you select. The girls do a good job at giving you the GFE and it was great to wake up with a beautiful girl at your side. They really show a lot of affection which for me makes the sex part just that much better. The food was good, especially the fish and lobster, and the booze was as much as you cared to drink and call brands.
The impression that I got was that most girls stay 3 to 7 days and there are new arrivals every day. The ratio of girls to guest was about 2 to 1 and like any other place if you find a girl that you really like you might want to book her up for multiple nights and chose other girls during the day for variety.
Oh yeah, the sex part. It was BBBJ with all the girls that I was with and intercourse is with a condom. It's funny but the final day of the trip the other 4 guest who were departing with me were so spent that even though we did not leave until about 1:00 pm, no one took a girl back to their room that morning. The grounds of the resort are quite nice and the bedrooms were immaculate.

I have been seeing some action on this thread for the Oxygen resort lately and personally, I think it is a viable option for the "spoon fed" punter. I do however hope this is not yet another attempt at making a post when in truth it is nothing more than a thinly disguised advertisement. I am writing this for those on a budget and want to compare apples to apples dollar wise as much as possible between BBs and O2.
The below is a breakdown of expenses for a typical trip of mine (just last November), 6 days, 5 nights at Blackbeards (all US Dollars and paying in cash and I am looking at receipts here):
Single Deluxe Room 5 nights at BBs ($60/night plus tax) $348.00
Bar and Restaurant Bill at BBs $350.00
(This trip was less expensive as I had a queasy stomach and didn’t drink that much. It was actually $221.00 but my usual is about the same price as hotel room. So I plugged in that amount.)
Tourist card $10.00
Airfare $308.00
(I got a pretty good deal but had to change Airports in NYC, so I had an extra cost)
Taxi between airports in NYC on way out with tip $32.00
Bus between airports in NYC on way back $13.00
Outside restaurants from BB’s (approximate on high side) $150.00
Rental Car including taxes $196.00
(5 days- economy car includes additional liability insurance. I use my Visa for comp/collision)
(I do NOT recommend this for newbie’s, use a taxi your first time down)

Now O2 and others do not actually include airfare or any related costs in their ads, and I am surprised how close I came to their 2 night/3 day price, standard room package.
My BBs 6 day/5 night less flights and transfers $2284.00
O2 advertised all inclusive standard room 3 days/2nights $1995.00.
The 6 day/5 night package all inclusive standard room is $4595.00
Now something can and should be said about quality over quantity, but I will tell you the pictures of these Chicas from BBs do not do them justice. I may have lower standards than some on the board, but I love the island blend in these local Chicas. I usually am with only 7s to 9s at BBs (this may seem low, but this is just looks, some of my 7s are 10s in the sack). I will also point out that the accommodations and food may not compare with O2. Much can be pared from my above, and it may not be correct to include my cialis, tips or rental car, as well as upcharging for number of chicas in my report.
That being said, I look at the price tag and say, "Hey, 3 more nights and days of shear debauchery in paradise for about the same price as the O2 3 day/2 night package. Not a bad deal". Very good comment Ponderosa and I agree completely. Having spent time at Vikings and an all inclusive place in Venezuela, I have now been to BBs some 12 times over the past 3-4 years. It is the best combination of action and value you can find. I have not been to Oxygen but it cannot be much different than Viking which was nice but wildly overpriced. The service you will get from the chicas at BBs is miles better especially if you are relatively generous with tips, drinks etc and have a good reputation in bed. Well, my two cents.
You have four nights in DR.
Instead of jumping from literally "one-night stands" in 3-4 places, pick one and thoroughly get to know the place, explore the local area, and relax.
You can't get to know anyplace in one night.
Blackbeards is a good choice for a first time. Lots more control in terms of the girls, etc. In Sosua you're on your own, and lacking much experience or Spanish, you have to be careful.
If you like, take a cab from BB in Costambar to Mustang Ranch (about 15 min. & 20 bucks) and check it out for next time. Cristal's the bar/brothel is in Puerto Plata and you could check that out one evening the same way.
Maybe try a week in Sosua on your next trip, when you have a means of comparing girls, service, prices, etc.
And remember, in Sosua, you're on your own, so read-up and learn about the pitfalls in advance.

Google "manana hoy #4" condo about a 10 min walk or 100 peso cab ride from BB's. 2 bedroom 2 bath kitchen, living room,pool.Somewhat girl friendly.75 a night. At least 2 units there available for rent..I have stayed at Manana Hoy #4. It is nothing like the pictures on the website. I would not stay there again.

I have stayed at Manana Hoy #4. It is nothing like the pictures on the website. I would not stay there again.
I stayed at Manana hoy#7,it was ok. Close to the beach. Its an option,maybe not the best option. For 2 guys with a limited amount of chicas it would be ok. A very small property. I stayed there 2 nights and BB's 2 nights.Loase resort looks nice! Thanks for the link P!!!

If you do stay a night at MR, remember your impressions of everything in the "all-inclusive package" and write a report. There has been little information on it as you are aware, and comments have been mixed.

Why not get around a bit? I would stay at BB for your whole stay, so that you have a base and can get to know some people, practice your Spanish etc. in a safe environment, but also make some trips out so you don't get bored.
Try and find a companion (male) for the evening at BB and go out to Sosua. Just take a taxi, but negotiate price prior to departure so no surprises.
If cash is an issue, you can pick up the public taxi or guagua outside the public hospital in Puerto Plata and the fare to Sosua is only a dollar per person. Taxi drops you outside big supermarket in Sosua, only 50 yards from main discotheque. Public taxis run all night.
Then if you get a girl, you can go to Calypso (short stay fuck hotel) for $10 , take the girl back to Costambar with you, or rent a room for the night at the Europa or maybe New Garden for about $50 and return in the morning.
Hell, live a little, it is your vacation.
Mustang Ranch is also on the Puerto Plata to Sosua public taxi route. Personally I would not bother as the Kristal girls are no better than the Sosua girls. In fact, in many cases they are the SAME girls. But I know you are excited about the trip and want to see for yourself what everyone is writing about. Get out and do it! You won't get any medals for sitting around doing nothing for hours at BB, and when you get back you will be envied by the guys who did.
Zoo, or safari park, or game reserve. All have their merits, and all can provide lots of fun examining the mating habits of exotic species and stuffing your trophies.

I have rented an apartment for a month at Costambar and am looking for ways around. Not taking any Motocoaches, seen those and the damage they have done to the chicas.

a guagua is a minibus service and the public taxi is a car with a taxi sign on top, usually a toyota corolla. both charge very low fares and run along fixed routes. for example puerto plata to sosua and back, or to cabarete.
fares are very cheap and you pay per seat, not for the whole car. a full payload in a toyota corolla is two passengers (plus driver) in the front and four adult passengers in the back, so it is tight. however, if you pay double you can buy extra seats, so, for example, you can buy both the front seats (i.e. one whole seat!) by paying 60 pesos (or $2 american) for the fare from puerto plata to sosua.
the guaguas have flolding seats that are used when the bus is full to fill the place otherwise occupied by the aisle. they are run by private contractors.
i don't know the details of the services in the costambar area, but they will run on the main highway outside of costambar, but do not run inside costambar. there is guagua service between puerto plata and santiago and cofresi.
there are also cheaper taxi services like techitaxi in puerto plata that will come if you call them by phone. i don't know the exact fare. they are cheaper than the tourist taxis and are older vehicles. the a/c is not guaranteed to work, but they may have working a/c.
the costambar taxi owners service is a cartel that charges very high rates and makes it difficult for others to operate in costambar. non costambar taxis are allowed into costambar, but they cannot tout for business there or pickup in the street. (dominican taxi drivers are naturally extremely law-abiding at all times, observe all speed limits, exercise great care when overtaking, and never fight with each other or ram each others vehicles in disputes over fares.)
since you are staying for a while i think your best bet will be to find a reliable driver who charges you a reasonable amount, get his phone number, and use him regularly.
since the costambar taxis are rather expensive, you may want to consider renting a helicopter service. it may be cheaper, but not necessarily safer. one came down near sosua beach a few months back, killing all on board.
i have ridden hundreds of motoconchos and never had an accident. maybe i am overdue. you can tell them to slow down if they seem reckless. sobriety of drivers cannot always be guaranteed. if you see them drinking out of a brown paper bag, it may be best to pick another driver.

HardyOut of the girls that you see in my pictures there were two that I never had the pleasure to experience. Of the others I had my favorite for the overall sex and one for her sweetness. The public taxis for the Puerto Plata to Costambar trip has a "J-C" on the roof of the car. As Frannie so stated, you get it right outside the gate. Since it is the loop (it turns around there), the direction of travel does not matter.
The Guagua that stops at the road to Costambar off the main highway that goes to Avenida (or calle or paseo) Real is the "F" guagua. Get off at Real, and you can walk the three blocks or so toward San Felipe Church.

Just wanted to ask anyone who has a reservation, but has changed their plans and is no longer going to please call and cancel so the rooms can be opened up for me and any others who might be on the waiting list. That, or you can just give up your room because you think I'm a cool guy.
If we can't get at BB's during that time, we may either stay at New Garden in Sosua or just reschedule for a couple weeks later in order to partake in the Bikini Contest at BB's. Thanks in advance!

Maybe paying the high price conveys a feeling of exclusivity, but in practical terms, its hard to justify.

If you see yourself coming back here, going to BBs will allow you to see if you even WANT to mess with the high cost spread.
Money in that if it really doesn't matter how much you spend, you will have top notch accommodations and food at places like Oxygen. BB's is a mid level type hotel, fairly well priced and the food is pretty good. It is not an All Inclusive like Oxygen so you will get a bill for what you eat and drink. Chica pricing is prenegotiated and you can partake as much or as little as you want. You will spend a lot less at BBs vs. any of the AI type adult resorts
Taste in that resorts like Oxygen will probably have upper end girls only to choose from in the looks department and BBs will have a bit more of a cross section of chicas. Chicas come and go at BBs and are independent contractors. Like any establishment of this type, if you snooze, you lose. If you see something you like, go after it. Even guys that have gone to the AI places talk about missing out on some chicas because they didn't jump on their opportunity to "ask them out". I can't remember a time I couldn't find a chica up to my standards at BBs, but there were a few times I came close, but also remember this is with multiple trips under my belt.
Personally, I have talked to a lot of guys who have been to both and the vast majority have trouble reconciling the difference in pricing and quality. I would personally like to tell you to go to Oxygen because it is getting more difficult to get reservations at BBs and I like the idea of BBs being my own little secret place to get away to.

My 2 centsOk, so here is my follow up on my trip to DR that started on 12/27 unil 1/2.
My vacation at Oxygen retreat was scheduled from 12/28 - 1/1 so I can part-take on their New Year's package, then I followed advised given on this forum on where to stay on 12/27 for one night and on 1/1 for another night since my flight would arrive POP on 12/27 and leave on 1/2- I needed a place to crash on those dates.
So at the end the plan was to stay at BBs on 12/27 for 1 night
at Oxygen from 12/28 - 1/1
and at BBs in 1/1 for one night.
Here is my initial report at BBs on 12/27:
Made arrangements to be picked up at POP. Another fellow hobbiest joined me on the cab and off we went to BBs. To tell you the truth if it wasn't for the guy that was sharing the cab with me and that has been to BBs several times I really would have been skeptical of where the cab was taking me because we went off of the road to the to the gated community where BBs is.
Paid in advance for my room and was given a key. The accomodations are clean and would rate it as a 2 star hotel. The AC in my room did not work, I was told that the unit would work when the electricity comes back in 3 hours (it was 4 PM at this time on 12/27). At the end it never worked. Room was clean, but had a particular smell. TV remote control did not work, but I was not there to watch TV, just pointing out accomodations and ammenities.
The resort ammenities: All areas, pool, restaurant, bar, rest rooms are clean and in good condition. It is nothing spectacular.
The staff: very nice and attemptive.
The food: At first I was afraid of eating something that could ruin my vacation at Oxygen so I tried just the basics. I had a chickensandwich which I complaint about it because it had mostly cheese and onions and seasoning and almost no chicken.
Companions: My expectations were low because this was not my primary reason. It was for me an opportunity to see what everyone talks about and compare it to Oxygen. I am sure many people could care less about sleeping in a 2 star or a 4 star room when what the most important thing is the companions. On the 27th there were about 12 - 18 companions and about 8 guys. I typically rate companions based on my experience with them as follows: face, body, attitude, performance. In this particular case I tried 2 girls one for a couple of hours and a second for the night. The first one was probably the best looking in the resort and was an 8.5 face and body. Attitude was also an 8 and performance was a 7.
In general on that particular night BBs had mostly 7s in bodys and faces and not more that 3 or 4 that could be considered 8s. Most of them are in their early to late 20s.

On the 28th I had made arrangements to be picked up at BBs at 11AM and driven to Oxygen. 40 minutes later I arrived, as soon as the dor opens you are in front of paradise. Mike checked me in and spent a few minutes explaining how the coupon system works and the staff took my bags to my room.
Accomodations: The rooms are impecable, clean is an understatement and all is first class from the egyptian cotton sheets to the details of the ceramic tiles thoughout the room and bathroom. It is definetely a 4 star place
ammenities:
There are a few to mention and each one of them is laid out in a very pleaseant and manicured landscape. All perfectly maintained through out the day. I speak spanish fluently so I was able to follow when one of the supervisors was going on one of his rounds making sure the pool and jacuzzi are spotless clean and have any impurities removed evry so often. Beautiful pool, jacuzzi is great, bar is decent, the inside area is excellent, it has a center stage with a strip club pole and there is the Bistro restaurant.
They have a nightly event that starts at around 9PM where all companions wear nice dresses and the events are awsome, lesbian shows, erotic dances, birthday celebrations! Also I enjoyed the egyptian smoking room. Great place to take your companion and get a taste of belly dancing combined wit strip dancing.
food:
They have a daily buffet and a la cart menu. I mostly had filet minion with mushroom sauce, ny strip in wine sauce and my favorite item# 4 in the menu grilled seafood that included lobster and langostinos. Food was great, the only downside is that at times I felt it was salty but I was able to manage by asking to hold the salt. Also, breakfast consists of a station where a chef would prepare anything you want. It included freshsqueezed OJ and pineapple juices as well as an assortement of fresh cut fruit as well as your dry cereals, milk and coffee
staff:
I give the staff 5 stars. I mean, they bend backwards to make sure you feel comfortable. I had them bring food and drinks where ever I was, the pool, jacuzzi, my room, etc. On New Years I asked them to prepare and bring to my room at a specific time chilled champagene and fresh fruit which they delivered.

there were about 16 - 20 companions and about 10 guys during my stay. I was the first one to arrive on the 27th so I had the chance to talk to all companions and carefully compile my list of who I will be seeing during my stay. Companions are 19 - 24 years old. Very young, many of them are students and their bodies are immaculate, no signs of stretch marks or alike.
I would say there is a 70% 9s, 20% 8s and 10% 7s
Here you find girls from very light skinned, green eyes, blondes to dark skinned dark hair black eyes. All with bodies to die for. How the coupons work for companions. You get a package when you check in with all the coupons for your package. I had the standard package for 5 days 4 nights so I had 4 green coupons to take a girl for the whole night and 2 blue coupons per day for 2 hour sessions to take any girls. This way you can mix it up any way you want and have as many girls as you want at the same time. For example, the first night I had One girl for 2 hours and the 2 for the entire night. The next night I had 3 girls during day time for 2 hour sessions and at night I had one for the whole night and another one for 2 hours.
I will comeback and post more information on my experience at Oxygen as well as some pictures. For now I want to rate these places and give and overview of my experience.

In general I would say it comes down to what your taste is and I find Oxygen has far better companions than BBs. My impression was that at BBs you hang around the pool or go to the disco at night to pick up your date, at Oxygen you start that way but in an intimate setting where you get to know the girls that go out of their way to provide a true GFE experience, not only in bed but also when they hang around with you.

I have done the all inclusive route in CR and thought it sucked.
It sounds like Oxygen is well thought out and run resort with everything executed to a five star level.

They run all night from Puerto Plata to Sosua and back, that I do know. I do not know for sure if they run past Costambar all night, but I imagine they would.You say the public taxis run all night. How late do they run. I hear they stop after dark. Is this true?

I'll be at BB's in May that's like home to me. I can do BB's or Sosua 3 times a year and more girls for the price of one stay at Oxgen.
No disrespect for anyone going to Oxgen or have gone. But you are not doing anything different just the presentation is better. I've seen 6- 10 girls at BB's during a slow day and also 30-40 girls at Bb's in one night before during a full house so regardless it's still hard to make a choice.
At BB's guys don't be in the rooms that much anyway, so it don't matter how beautiful it look, we all there for the same common goal, get a girl or two and go in!
The girls don't care about none of that, the only thing they care about is getting their pesos at the end of the day. I've had 6's 7's 8's and 9's in the club, cabanas, the beach, and even in an abandon shack down there. When I go on vacation I like to live like the locals and experience the culture, eat what they eat, party where they party, and I save all the tourist and AI places for wife and family. LOL
But to each his own, you have to do what your pockets call for and I like to do more for less!

This time I want to explore the north coast, possibly to Cabarete, Sosua, Maimon, or Luperon. As you guys know taxis in Costambar are expensive, motoconchos are dangerous, and I don't know much about the guaguas or publicos but they may not be reliable. Although I have some anxiety about driving in the DR I'm thinking about renting a car. The BBs staff and Ponderosa have given me some advice about this but I would like some more input. What type of car should I rent? What companies offer the best deals? I know that I have some car rental protection through my Visa Platinum card but what additional insurance should I purchase through the car rental agency? Any other advice about getting around the north coast? I will appreciate any input from you guys.

For the first 5 trips to BB's I never rented a car. Now I always do. If you are set on renting a car use your Visa Card as it will cover the collision (CDW) and pay the extra personal coverage ins. It is like 7-8 dollars per day extra. I have used Budget (I went online and reserved a car) they are the least expensive and rent a compact car. It seats 4 and is small and easy to navigate traffic. I fly AA so I give them my AA # for extra miles and every rental agency gives miles. Tips: drive slow, assume all traffic lights are suggestions, look right and left everytime you turn as there a motoconches everywhere they will come out of no where, even if you looked once look again just before you turn, turn signals on your car are like traffic lights just suggestions, wear a seat belt always, never drink and drive at night....use a taxi it is safer, pot holes are everywhere you have a chance during the day to see them at night they come out of no where.
Night driving is difficult even if the pot holes don't get you!!! There will be cars and motoconches with no lights and of course my favorite is people walking on the side of the road in either direction. Street lights are only on the main road in Puerto Plata. As you move to side streets or out of town things get dark very fast.
At several of the traffic lights there will be kids washing your windows have some small chage ready. They are the most persistant people. I have learned to accept it like paying a toll.
Last, driving in the DR my first time was VERY different than when I was in a taxi......you must always be focused and can never let your guard down....if you get into an accident it will always be your fault! The only question is how much is it going to cost you....and it is going to cost you!
I will be at BB's Jan 17 to 21....If I can be of any assistance to you just ask any of the girls or staff for Roberto.

I did a trip very similar to the one you are planning last year. It was my first solo trip after 2 all-inclusive stays and I stayed 2 weeks in an apart-hotel in Costambar with my novia who I met on my previous trip. Would not do this again but that is a whole other topic. I did not know anything about Costambar till I arrived but found it too isolated and quiet for someone like myself. I needed taxi or motoconcho anytime I wanted to do anything, even for ATM cash. We took motoconcho every night into town to hit the bars. If it was raining we had to take taxi home afterwards. For this reason I decided on Sosua this year and will be there Jan. 17-31 at New Garden. I made friends with a motoconcho driver and we actually went exploring every afternoon till dark as my novia worked afternoons and I was on my own with time to kill. We ended up in Sosua most days and ventured out to Cabarete one day shooting pool on the second floor of a bar overlooking the main street. Even though I've been on motorcycles most of my life I don't think I'd feel comfortable driving the North Coast. My guy knew the hot spots and short cuts and all it cost me was $20/day. It must've been a small fortune for him as he was waiting at my door every day almost on the minute. I agree it is dangerous and we had a few close calls and one small spill on that horrible dirt road leading into Costambar. Christmas day we headed out west past Cofresi and Maimon, stopped for fresh fish dinner along the hiway and ended up in Luperon. Stopped at a gas station and people were gathering then 2 dudes pull up in a big SUV, pop the hatch and start blasting music and the party was on! Overall it was a great experience as I got to see virtually all of the North coast using the knowledge of my driver for minimal cost. I saw tourists on scooters as well but the rules of the road are really hard to figure out and if you want to explore and drive yourself I think it would be very stressful. I'm planning to visit Blackbeard's Jan. 26 for the bikini contest as everyone has been talking about it on the forum. Maybe we can meet up and chat. Have a great trip. funinthesun63

I did not use the private taxi, except for the airport run. The guaguas and publicos are fine, especially by day. You can walk to BB's after exiting the publico at the Costambar gate. It would be a 15 minute walk, or so. I used the publicos daily from Costambar to Puerto Plata, and from Puerto Plata to Sosua.

My brother and I are trying to plan his best friend's bachelor party. None of us have been to the DR, but I have personally have been to Brazil, Colombia, and Panama multiple times (my brother joined me in Rio last year). We are trying to do a 4 day weekend event for maybe 4-6 of us.
My questions are:
1. What would be more fun for DR newcomers (who may only come to the DR once) trying to do a 4-day bachelor party, staying at Blackbeard's outside of PP, or staying at one of the hotels in Sosua?
2. What other activities (snorkelling, jetskiiing, etc....) are available in Puerto Plata other than mongering?
3. What are the mongering options in Puerto Plata besides Crystal's? Is Crystal's a bar or strip club?

in sosua there is also a small jewish museum in case you want to explore a bit of jewish history and culture.
between puerto plata and sosua is the columbus water park which is suppose to be the biggest water park in the caribbean, and another place called fun city which is go cart racing park.

HardyNo. Nudity is not allowed in public areas. What I described was done discretely. None seemed to mind if girls go topless; in fact, they have a topless bole ball event. I guess the key word is to be discrete and considered of others.

in addition to other activities in the area, i think you would find bb more suitable in that it is a self-contained place with everything available on site, from pool to jacuzzi, partyroom, etc. (i also think the quiet little gem of a beach at costambar is very under-rated). if you coordinate with charo, some of the girls might even be able to put on a 'show" for your party.
sosua has more bars, nightlife, etc, but you pretty much have to fend for yourself.
i might suggest making bb a "base of operations".
if you have a group, you can split the otherwise expensive ($45us) cab ride to sosua among yourselves for a visit one night.

Typical Short Time is 1200-1300 pesos (about $40-45 US).
Toda La Noche (overnight) is usually about 2500 pesos ($75US).
Talk to the girl and reach an agreement BEFORE you take her to your room.
You may expect 1-2 hours, she may understand its until you pop once. Decide that between you both FIRST. You may also want some "extras" and be sure thats understood FIRST, and if she expects a little more in exchange.
Unless its really off the wall, extra charges are rare.
Likewise for TLN.
TLN is typically till 9-10 AM and unless it was a terrible experience buying the girl breakfast is both enjoyable and common courtesy.
(Breakfast is a whole $5-6).
If you want her for all day, price would be same as TLN, at least.
Consider that she may be giving up other clients (and their money) to be with you.
Depending on time of day, etc. Be a gentleman and have lunch or dinner with her, etc. Its enjoyable, and helps the chemistry.

the teleferico is the cable car to the top of the mountain. a hell of a ride.
when columbus first came along this coast in 1493 he named the harbor puerto plata (silver port) not because there was silver in the area (of course he was looking for gold), but because the clouds on top of the mountain looked silvery. you can go up right inside those same clouds that inspired columbus.
he must have had a thing about clouds on mountain tops, because nevis got its name (snows) the same way.
Any body know if theres any turmas or massage places some where in Puerto Plata or Sosua.

Ok. This is my first trip and I am having a great time. The girls are attractive and abundant. If you do not like to play the game like in Sosua then BBs is for you. Just wave the girl over, ask her for a short stay or a TLN and you are in.
First day I met a couple of great guys from Canada and we shot the breeze and found dinner dates. Then headed to the Italian place down the street. As most of you know Comstombar, where BlackBeards is located, is a sleepy village with not much activity. Good for just relaxing and chica-ing. The Italian place is a 10 min walk and has good food at a nice price. The food at BBs is good too but it is nice to get out and eat someplace different. Later we went back to the BB's "Disco" where music played and the chicas had a chance to strut their stuff. Olga was my date. She was very nice. I had a TLN with her. Nice GFE and was willing to please.
Today. I went to Sosua to meet another online buddy that one of the Canadian guys knew. We shot the breeze and went to La Passions for a few beers and a BBBJ. No go on the BBBJ there was only 3 chicas and they were not my type or any other other guys type for that matter. Taxi was $55US round trip. The taxi waited 3 hours for us to do what we wanted.
Now I am at BBs getting ready to start my evening run. I will have an update later.

I returned several days ago from my first visit to BB's, 6 days and 6 nights spanning New Years. Previously, I had made several visits to the 2 all inclusive adult resorts on Margarita Island, Venezuela.- Total Satisfaction and My Wild Vacation.
I had a good time at these 2 destinations, and I would recommend them both. However, my experience at BB far exceeded TS and MWV, and I will be returning to BB in April.
Much has been written about BB on this message board, and I read all of it before my trip, which was very helpful. I will not recount every gory detail of my visit, because it has all been discussed here ad nauseum. However, I do offer a few miscelaneous observations: I was very impressed with Charo, the supervisor of the chicas. I sat down and chatted with her upon my arrival to ask her to recommend my first companion according to my specifications. She steered me to a young lady who was very excellent indeed. I also mentioned the name of a girl who had been recommended to me by a friend via e-mail. She had not been around for a few days, Charo said. The girl did show up the next day, and Charo remembered, brought her over to me and introduced her. I was impressed by that.
BB's was booked solid during my stay and that meant about 20 guests? At my previous destinations, capacity was about 10. It was a little disorienting with so many guests there, constantly checking in and out. But I did strike up numerous acquaintances, several of which I am in touch with after the trip, and was a part of many enjoyable conversations. Good group!
The famous bikini contest was nicely staged and a lot of fun. But they dragged the event out to about 90 minutes, when 45 minutes would have been quite sufficient. I understand this, however.- they are in the business of selling drinks, and they did in fact sell a lot of drinks to the huge throng in attendance.
The Italian Restaurant.- Solo Mio.- which is literally right around the corner.- is quite nice. We walked there on a couple of evenings. The streets in this incredibly peaceful and quiet neighborhood are well lit and non-threatening. I would not say that the food at this restaurant is outstanding. But it was very good, reasonably priced, decent service, and a nice open-air setting. I will go back next time.
Jenny's Supermarket is an excellent resource. I stocked up on Coke, Water and Orange Juice (the OJ was surprisingly good), for the fridge in my room, and saved a few bucks, as well as taking advantage of their favorable exchange rate for pesos. Many, many items in this cute store. And an easy stroll from the hotel.
I like to travel light.- I avoid checking luggage at all costs. Mine is a carry-on suitcase and a backpack. I took advantage of the laundry service available at mid week, had a bunch of stuff washed and returned to me the same day and made it comfortably through my stay. The laundry fee was $7, very nice!
I certainly appreciate those members of this forum who recommended checking on your restaurant and bar tab during the week. I did so on my next to last day and discovered two fairly large totals on my tab from the bar from the previous two nights, a total of about 15 drinks. I don't drink. I might have ordered a few Cokes and a water in all the time I was there.
The girl I was with those nights.- with whom, by the way, I had enjoyed three of the best nights ever for me on one of these trips.- had asked me to buy her a (one) drink the night before, and of course I said yes. But the tab had 10 drinks for that night. Upon discussing this with her, she said she had 3 or 4 drinks, but did not know where the others had come from.
I think she suspected that she had been caught red-handed and at this point, she said she would pay for all of the drinks. I told her this would not be necessary if she did not order them all. I would speak to Charo. She did not want me to speak to Charo. Charo examined the itemized list of the drinks for that evening, and apparantly she knows what the girls drink? She assured me that my girl had ordered all of those drinks.
Charo went to the manager and arranged for the bar charges to be removed from my bill (about $130 worth), and informed me that the girl would be paying that tab. I was impressed with the way Charo handled this situation. I had a good friend of mine along with me on this trip, who has some bartending experience in his past. He told me that based on what kind of drinks they were, the 10 drinks of the previous evening could not have been consumed by the girl alone. My friend theorized that the girl was buying drinks for her friends. Well, that's wrong. I am "careful" with my money, and of course I would have gladly bought a few drinks for this pretty girl who was showing me a good time up until this point, but I was not pleased to learn that I unknowingly was buying for her and her friends to the tune of $130.
Upon further investigation of the procedures at BB, I learned that you can certainly pay cash at the bar and restaurant if you wish, as opposed to charging it to your room. I think this is what I will do on my next trip. I also learned that there is a 10% service charge added to your tab for charging your bar and restaurant purchases. Not sure if this 10% goes to the hotel or is it a tip for the waitresses and bartenders? If it is a tip, then I guess I tipped double!
Now some thoughts about the girls. At the all inclusive Margarita Island resorts, you are paying $350-$400 per day, and the girl is with you for 24 hours (theoretically). At BB, of course, this is not the case. I found that the down time without a companion was actually quite nice, and I did not feel like I was wasting the large amount of money I would have been paying at the other places. It is a nice opportunity to have the option to rest for an afternoon or an evening and recharge the batteries.
And the girls? I prefer slender girls with nice tight butts and medium boobs. In all of my trips to Margarita, I encountered precious few chicas fitting that description. Most sported thick builds, big boobs, big butts, and pounds around the middle. While this may be someone else's cup of tea (to each his own), it is not mine. At BB, I was delighted to see an abundance of girls who fit my specifications.
And with the exception of the over-enthusiastic-drinker, I found the girls to be very personable and more mature than their counterparts in Margarita. In Margarita, it seemed like there was very often a game being played whereby the girl was trying to out manuever you and deliver only the bare minimum of service and effort. This was most certainly not the case with the 4 BB girls I spent time with, including the drinker who as noted earlier delivered to me three of the best nights ever.
Criticisms? None really. I wish the one flight to POP out of Miami arrived a little earlier in the day so I could get to the hotel earlier. And I wish the one flight out of POP to Miami left a little earlier so I could complete the second leg of my journey home that same night instead of needing to overnight in Miami. But these schedules are not BB's fault.
Management that I encountered, Paco, Javier, Charo, all very nice and helpful. The grounds beautifully maintained, the room clean and sufficient, it's all good.

Not quite $10 each, EK. It was about 15-16 drinks over the two evenings for about $4,000 pesos (about $130). I don't know anything about alcoholic beverages. But one of the drinks prevelent on the list was Henessey's, which I understand is an expensive drink.
I returned several days ago from my first visit to BB's, 6 days and 6 nights spanning New Years. Previously, I had made several visits to the 2 all inclusive adult resorts on Margarita Island, Venezuela.- Total Satisfaction and My Wild Vacation.
I had a good time at these 2 destinations, and I would recommend them both. However, my experience at BB far exceeded TS and MWV, and I will be returning to BB in April......

Charo runs a tight ship with the girls at BBs and I am glad to hear Paco and Javier are working closely with her. $130 in drinks at BBs is a substantial amount and you were wise to check your bill before the last day. That amount is about what I pay for 2 full days of food AND drink for me and my chicas down there.
I buy drinks for my chica and, at times, for her friends, but I am always the one ordering them. I do not send my chica to the bar for drinks. If I find it necessary to go to the bar to pick up drinks, I am the one to do it. I do this firstly, because it is the gentlemanly way to go, and secondly (and probably most importantly), so my chica can't buy rounds for all her friends without me knowing it. A word to the Newbies to BBs, some chicas will see if they can take advantage of you by things like this. Keep your eyes open and if you see them pushing their limits, call them on it. Believe it or not, when these girls see you setting limits, they will respect you. They see they are not dealing with a patsy and this is a key element in getting that GFE experience I am always looking for.
I also found your comments about the chicas and venue here vs. Margarita Island interesting. Many guys I have talked to who have been to the high cost Adult All Inclusive Resorts and BBs have echoed your sentiments.

I must concur with Yanqui on this, but really it is a matter of time, money and taste. I think the most important attribute was left out. That is of Maturity.
Maturity as in loosing the desire to go after girls using your best "game" as if you were still in college. These guys don't have financial worries anymore and can afford cut out much of the BS they had to implement in their earlier years when they were not as financially stable.
This I believe is the main driver what steers most to the all inclusive resorts.

This was my first time in the Dominican Republic as well as my first venture into any international activity. I checked out a couple of websites and and decided to give Mustang Resort a shot.
In my book I thought they totally delivered on what they offered. and was way satisfied in every category. The staff could not have been nicer and the chicas I had were much hotter than I had expected. Already making plans to see how soon I can go for a repeat
