Thats a wonderful idea! I will try to bring back and post, some pictures.
Its not like BB. Where the chicas are all over the place. You have to go to Crystals and get her. Although I never stayed, at BB. I am liking MRR. More and more. What I mean is, at BB the girls are "free Agents". You never know what you are going to get, and they might pull the "bait and switch "move. Agree to a price, do the deed, and try to jack you for more, at least thats what I am hearing, more and more, in this chat room. A few of you guys are Veterans. So the girls know not to try that shit. But I am a Newbie" but I don't tolerate a lot of crap. Well maybe a little. LOL Homie don't play that. Lino (the owner of Crystals), the girls sorta cring when he is around. They know if you purchased an all inclusive package, they better deliver or they have to answer to him. So the girls aint so gun-ho about that bait and switch tactic. At least I haven't seen it. So you kinda have leverage with the girls, being they work for him. They have to work at his place the next day. And yes. Mandingo AL. Alot of girls have that ghetto ass! You and I adore, you don't have to go to Sousa to find that big assed Chica. LOL Crystals is alive and kicking. "NO BUTTS" about it. No pun intented. LOL Lino and myself talked alot about the challenge, but nothing was set in stone, he e-mailed me and we are going to Iron out the details, when I get there, in April. I will report back to you guys, when I get the full details. It was HIS idea, He really want to make in-roads with you guys. I see WHY. You guys are A GREAT BUNCH OF GUYS. But also bear in mind it is very insular. Be aware.

The girls PAY to work at BB’s and don’t want complaints to possibly “F”up a good consistent job. Me having been there twice, and trading notes with all the others patrons staying there, I have never heard of a girl trying to jack prices above the agreed 1200/2500Pesos. If anything, the worst you contend with is an overnight girl trying to NOT give you any morning attention. That is, getting up, getting dressed, and then trying to leave and ask for the full $2500p. This has been pulled a few times but the guys who know better tell them here is 1200 and if you give it up this morning I will give you the full amount. The last girl ended up dropping all her clothes after just freshly just getting dressed.
Many BB patrons don’t see need for the overnighters anymore because 2xST<1LT by 100p. So if you do 2xST it is cheaper, you sleep peacefully alone, and get a fresh different chica in the morning. Not so easy at Mustangs.
FWIW - All the BB girls report to their boss, Charro. And if the guys have a problem they go to that same boss. I had one girl reach in my pocket and take 200P once without asking (for taxi fare). She walked out the entrance only looking back to see what my reaction was. Needless to say she does not work at BB anymore.
In closing, all costs considered, BBs is by far the better place to be as far as your $ is concerned. At least I think so and nobody here has as yet been able to give arguments that it is not.

Question: If you have to go to Crystal's Night Club to get your girls (as part of your package) and that place (I'm assuming) is only open at night, what happens if you want a girl around 1pm or so? Are you on your own to find one out on the economy or does the Ranch have some way of taking you to a pool of chicas to select from?

While I did not formally meet the Madam, I agree that the controlled environment was nice. In addition, you know that you are interacting with legal talent. Some of the girls in the street are questionable to say the least.

RodeoRodeo you can pick up a Chica at MMR during the day, so I was told the last time I was there. Understand I have only had take out at night, the outside bar and pool is called Club Rio which operates during the day.
I will be in POP from the 27th of April to the 10th of May.

Does BB still have problems with the power-supply during night? When I was there quite often the power was cut and the diesel-generator serves only the building with the bar and not the large building with the majority of the rooms.
Can anybody advise??

Hes right, Rodeo I was just there, and I to only had night takeout. If you tell Michele, When you check in, you are interested in a girl throughout the day. She will accomodate, but for the most part, you have to get take-out. Crystals opens at 7pm-12am. I thought that was kinda early for a bar. Two am is what I am use to. Its funny, the second time you go to, Crystals the race to find a hot chica is on. LOL you are gonna clock watch alot, counting down how much time you have to choose from, before the place closes, and a side note. When you get to Crystals, prepare to get bomb-barded before you can get a beer. LOL Its alittle overwhelming, It kinda catches you off-guard. That was my reaction, you can't get a feel for the place, When 20 girls rush you, at the door. And they are feeling you up, and talking (in spanish.)LOL ALL AT ONCE! LOL Also visit Mangu, its a Disco at Dorraddo Playa across the street, theres a casino there, after 12:30am the free lancer flood into Mangu the disco, and Damn are they fine! I paid for this hot freelancer, while I still had a freebie from Mrr. This girl really delivered. BBBJ and the whole nine yard, I hope thats helps. Like I said MRR, is kinda out there, so if you want to sight see, call a Taxi. Ask Michele to call her father he owns a taxi, and he is the kindest man you ever met, and his english is excellent.

It depends on what you're looking for.
Costambar is a very quiet place. A lot of expat Europeans have some condos there. You can see some eating at the Italian restaurant around the corner.
The beach is very laid back. If you want crowds, vendors, Sosua beach is better. Costambar is the opposite. Very pretty, beach almost all to yourself. A vendor renting recliners and a small stand selling beer. If you want to relax by yourself or with a favorite chica, that's your place.
BB can arrange daytrips of various activities, night trips to local casinos.

Playa Dorada is a huge all-inclusive complex and you need to enquire about using their golf facilities, but not too friendly, -you pay a hefty fee for guests.
Not sure about "high-end", but consider the Harborview Condos (they have a website). A well-run, small place with an owner who can advise you or even take you on a tour of Puerto Plata. And very girl friendly.
This is a quick review. I will post a longer one this weekend.
Overall - I had a good time. Here are my general ramblings...
1. Facilities - Clean. Standard rooms have one person shower. No clock in my room. Food was good tasting with reasonable variety. Only one phone on premises (in lobby).
2. Bar - Limited, but functional. Not much in the way of mixed drink selection or beer choices.
3. No Volleyball or topless ping-pong during my stay. Also, the lounge wasn't open.
4. Strip shows were on Fri and Sat, with lesbian show on Sat. No complaints.
4. Girls - Several lookers with many choices. Ratio was between 2-1 (Thurs) to 4-1 (Fri-Sat). Most from DM and spoke very little (if any) English. The more Spanish known, the better. Although, they all understood "room".
Some girls do become somewhat attached to you, which can lead to some uncomfortable "attention", meaning that they expect you to spend time with them instead of other girls.
Most of the girls have a similar build type, meaning a round butt and small breasts. There were a fair number of girls that have bigger breasts and butts, maybe 30% of the total.
I did have one subpar girl my first night there (which I reported to Robert). She was let go the next day. He wants to make sure that there are no problems during your stay.
5. In closing, I felt that I stayed a day too long (4 days/3 nights). It was a relaxing time and the girls were very good in bed. It was nice not being hustled. However, I did have a couple of girls "phone in" their bedroom performance. Obviously, my screening process still needs some work.
I would recommend the place without reservation. The only thing really missing is the beach, and a variety of girls. Stay tuned for a more thorough report shortly.

Yanqui knows what he is talking about here. The girls may ask for a "propina" (tip), but they would be stupid to actually demand it. I reported on one girl who asked for 2000 pesos, and almost demanded it, but the key words here were "asked" and "almost". This is too good of a job for the chicas to screw it up by getting greedy. Most girls at BBs like the controlled atmosphere as much as we do. It is a very safe environment for them. Sosua is not a fun place to freelance for many girls, and working the strip clubs is rather degrading to the chicas with much competition and solida fees to deal with.
ST is 1 to 3 hours, negotiate upfront on time and pops (1300 pesos pre-negotiated price) and TLN (all night) is usually from about 7pm to the next morning when you get up, at least two pops, evening and morning (2500 pesos pre-negotiated price) with tips on top of that.
More time than stated above is up to negotiations, and if you feel uncomfortable about assuming anything more than this, talk to Charo or Jennifer beforehand and pricing will be set.
A word to the wise, after making sure of price and time, treat things as a "date". These girls do not think of themselves as "putas" and if you treat them like a lady they many times respond that way. Giving them a small tip (meals, drinks, a few extra pesos when paying them) is a good thing. You don't want a reputation as a "cheap skate" and believe me the girls appreciate it. I usually go 1500 ST and 3000 TLN and get no grief. Don't go overboard though. After getting some of the best sex of your life, we as men can be vunerable to being over generous. Buying the girls scooters and "houses" is way overboard IMHO.
This is one of the most cost effective and safe environments for the newbie. Other safe environments, though costs widely vary, may include (although I cannot recommend as I have no first hand knowledge) MRR, Oxygen and Vikings. Do your research on the board and see where you feel most comfortable.

Yes Carlos, they do have problems there. Electricity in the DR is hit and miss at times. BBs has a back up generator that does come on and services the whole complex, but A/C in the main building will not work with that.
If you want constant A/C, the building above the front desk area does have A/C at all times (with and without the generator working) and request a room there. Overhead fans will work at all times in all areas and you can set them on "huricane" level, although it is not the same as A/C. I have been there multiple times and it hasn't been much of an issue for me.

RodeoCristals has an outdoor bar with pool that is open during the day.
It closes at 8 PM when the night club opens.
There are way more chicas at night and better quality too.

I did not stay at BBs--I had an apartment at an unfriendly place around the corner--and had no problem leasing a short-time room for social engagements.

Now I read through the post but was unable to confirm this. Can you walk into BBs buy a few drinks and if you see a chica to your liking have a "short stay" or do you actually have to have a room resevered there to hangout or watch the bikini contest?

Can you walk into BBs buy a few drinks and if you see a chica to your liking have a "short stay" or do you actually have to have a room resevered there to hangout or watch the bikini contest?You can go to BB's and hang out, which I do on occasion and have something to eat and drink, no problem. Or, if you'd like, you can take a chica with you and leave.

If there is, you're in business. If not, fuck it, take her to a cabana just off the main hwy and bang her there. There's one called Hollywood I think for like 400 pesos for the night.
Of course, you may want to find out as soon as you walk in if there's availability so you don't get worked up and end up with blue balls!

Believe they still do.
Regarding the Bikini contest, I believe the recent policy was you had to buy a drink or a small cover charge that entitled you to a drink.
I never went just to "visit".

The bikini contest was as fun as the photos, believe me. Especially in between the rounds of the contest. As you can see, Joanna provided the halftime entertainment by doing an awesome set of dances so people wouldn’t get bored. Since I was the guy with the hotshot camera this placed a target on my back as Joanna kept coming over to rub her wares all over me while I tried to snap away with one hand. See the photo below; those are my feet in the blue strapped sandals. Others got similar treatment. Number 15 won the contest because she was the one who looked like she had the most fun and did the best job trying to influence the judges. No arguments from anybody!
Note that there were just as many girls there that DID NOT participate in the contest so your favs most likely are still there. See some of the girls in the backgrounds of those photos.
This is actually the second time I set foot on the premises. About 3 months ago a buddy talked me into coming out for the bikini contest. Then there was dinner after, and the disco upstairs. My buddy offered me to use his room if I was interested in a girl. I never did. I suppose you could say I spent a whole day there before this trip. So now, officially, I just concluded my first 4 day stay and I must say I had fun.
I don’t think I will bore you with information no different than what others have posted here already about BBs. Instead, I will write out my observations on how this place compares to the Oxygen resort in Caberette. I stayed there 4 days on a previous trip and paid a pretty penny doing it. Here are my notes.
1) I would say there is a difference in the girls between the two places. The girls at O2 are definitely more slim and model like in their bodys. They are also notably more lighter skinned. See my previous post containing my original notes and pictures. 2)GET THIS, I consider the BB rooms to be slightly higher in quality than at O2. I was surprised at that given the $900/day package rate. The bedding was higher quality at O2 BUT the room size was much larger that at BBs without much of a falloff in the bedding. At O2 you get just enough room to move around when not on the bed. Thinking back I felt kind of “confined” in the rooms at O2.
3) The girls at BB seemed to have a happier kind of attitude than the girls at O2. My gut feel is the BB girls can come or go as they please so they don’t feel like they are in a cage. However, the O2 girls are not allowed to leave the premises under any circumstances. I think they get bored looking at the same thing day after day. I remember asking if some of the guys could take some of the girls out to a restaurant in Caberette and O2 gave me an emphatic “no, absolutely not” answer. The girls were happy I asked though. The girls at O2 do a good job at being cheery don’t get me wrong. The O2 girls also seem to work under fear of loosing their own job as the manager rules with an iron fist. No second chances for anybody.
4) There is a healthy mix of high power professionalism with blue collar patrons at BB. At O2, there was only the doctor, lawyer, financial guru, entrepreneurs at O2. I experienced more comradery at BBs with other guys that I did not get at O2.
5) The nighttime party atmosphere is much better at O2 than at BB. The girls get you into the festivities and at the same time you can tell they are not doing it so that you would take them to the room. Big difference here compared to BB. I felt much higher pressure at BBs to go with the girls.
I guess the big question is… would I go back to O2? Well, after spending 4 days at BBs I have to say, no, I would not spend my money like that again. I think I am splitting hairs with the 5 items I listed already. None of those observations are huge deal breakers. Therefore, I have to say that the experiences are very much equal between the two places. What is not equal is the money paid out from one place compared to the other.
Yes, there are other differences I haven’t listed, for example, O2 has an exercise room but it was unusable due to the fresh rubber floor smell. I almost passed out trying to use the exercise bike. O2 does also have a large screen TV with great AC and comfy couches to cuddly with a girl if there was a game playing.
I would like to close by saying that IF I had unlimited money I would still not favor O2 over BB. I thought it was eerie how similar the two places were.

List If I go to Sousa, will a day be enough, or should I stay over night, I am starting to see, Theres too much in DR. TO see in a few days, . What Discos are there? I love to get my groove on". I think Atlantic One near Sola Mia's restaurant rents out rooms and I have heard it is chica friendly. I am going next month and staying at L'oase Resort (http://www.loase.com) to be close to BBs, but not on "campus". I know L'oase is chica friendly as I checked it out in Feb. and plan on spending some time with my "novia" there at that time.
Others can comment on rental agencies that work with condo's for rent. David who retired from BBs is running L'oase and giving me a nice deal on lodging 'cause he knew me from my BBs days. I will report on it when I return.

I must agree with you on a return visit. I wouldn't go back. I did enjoy my stay, but, for me, it was a one and done experience. Frankly, I would be bored going there again. I don't know if BB is better (I met 2 guys at O2 who couldn't leave BB fast enough). I agree that the standard rooms leave MUCH to be desired, especially given the price of admission. In fact, I don't recommend the standard rooms AT ALL.
Also, I didn't find many of the girls "sexy." Most of the girls had nice butts. Some had nice boobs and faces. I didn't see anyone with really attractive legs. For me, it takes more than a nice body to exude sex appeal. I've been with a few average looking women who were SEXY. I found sex appeal to be generally lacking with the O2 girls. None of the girls that I was with ever bothered to wear any sexy clothing to set the mood, or to give me a private show.
In many ways, the experience was similar to going to a massage parlor. There was a strong language barrier; attractive server (usually); get down to business attitude when the door is closed. Also, though all of the girls were shaved, they were not freshly shaved. So all had stubble. I HATED THAT! How hard is it to keep it shaved, or grow it. I actually prefer hair anyway, but I digress.
In closing, I did have my best sexual experience there with one girl. Also, the coupon system works very well. I don't feel as though I was ripped off. However, I'm not really sure if I got my money's worth (kind of hard to explain). Still don't regret going though, just won't be going back.

The girl over there has a special vibration to her personality. If you need more days the management at O2 usually has no problems extending your stay. Note though that extra days at BBs can be a problem as they book up full much of the time.
I would do either a 2:5 or a 3:4BB ratio depending on how closely I wanted to watch my money.
I don't feel as though I was ripped off. However, I'm not really sure if I got my money's worth (kind of hard to explain). Still don't regret going though, just won't be going back.I felt the same. But after I did BBs for 4 days and feeling like I got almost exactly the same experience the money issue pretty settled things up for me.

I must agree with you on a return visit. I wouldn't go back. I did enjoy my stay, but, for me, it was a one and done experience. Frankly, I would be bored going there again. I don't know if BB is better (I met 2 guys at O2 who couldn't leave BB fast enough). I agree that the standard rooms leave MUCH to be desired, especially given the price of admission. In fact, I don't recommend the standard rooms AT ALL.
Also, I didn't find many of the girls "sexy." Most of the girls had nice butts. Some had nice boobs and faces. I didn't see anyone with really attractive legs. For me, it takes more than a nice body to exude sex appeal. I've been with a few average looking women who were SEXY. I found sex appeal to be generally lacking with the O2 girls. None of the girls that I was with ever bothered to wear any sexy clothing to set the mood, or to give me a private show.
In many ways, the experience was similar to going to a massage parlor. There was a strong language barrier; attractive server (usually); get down to business attitude when the door is closed. Also, though all of the girls were shaved, they were not freshly shaved. So all had stubble. I HATED THAT! How hard is it to keep it shaved, or grow it. I actually prefer hair anyway, but I digress.

Now you realize your room is a villa and not a standard room like I had right? A villa most likely will be more comfortable and less confining than the room I had. That is, your stay might have a better feeling than mine was just because of this.
You can take all the "decent" pics you want but should gain approval from the girls if you want anything more telling.

I had no problem with where the girls are from. I didn't care if they had worked at other establishments. As long as they were attractive and provided good service, fine with me.
Actually, they are providers, ESPECIALLY if there is a significant language barrier. It is very difficult to develop chemistry with someone when you are having a kindergarten level conversation with them. If I didn't know basic Spanish, I would have been in trouble, as far as communicating with the girls was concerned. As it stood, I had very limited knowledge about the girl due to my lack of command of her language.
Also, part of the appeal of O2 is the fact that you can have multiple girls during your stay. A few guys had a "wife", and tried other girls. I wasn't not interested in this at all. I had a couple of girls become possessive of me and didn't want me playing the field. I found this annoying, but some guys might like this.

Cristal's is on the corner, on the far east end of the malecon, in the "Long Beach" (English?) area. Just across the street from the Malecon.
That said, given the time of night, idiot traffic, and the condition you may be in, taking a cab from Costambar may be the most worry-free way to go. Puerto Plata from Costambar is around US20. If you are with friends, split the fare.
Just tell the cabbie to wait or pick you up in an hour or two. Or the club can probably get you a cab.

Located inside the huge Playa Dorada all-inclusive complex. Primarily intended for the tourists, its open to the public, and a popular place for pros fishing for clients. The music tends to be pop rather than local. (A shame, since it would be a good way to get introduced to Bachata/Meringue.
A reasonable cover that entitles one to the first drink free.
Not sure of the hours but believe its open 7 days a wk.
Problem for the complex residents is they charge exorbitantly for anyone that wants to bring a "guest' to his room.

Since I am the one who asked you to RTFF, I will respond as you did do some research.
All the places you mentioned are "spoon fed" environments. "Spoon fed" is favored by those who want everything pretty much handed to them (chicas, surroundings, food, etc.). Sosua and other unstructured venues are favored by those who like "the hunt"-negotiating prices, large selection of chicas and party central.
BBs (http://www.blackbeardsadultresort.com) is the lowest cost and highest discussed of all the "spoon fed" options you have mentioned. Pricing is set on chicas (1300 pesos ST 1-2 hours, and 2500 pesos for TLN, all night). Not all inclusive and you pay for what you use (hotel, food, drink, chicas, etc). Most of the girls are 6-8 in looks, all local chicas and a very laid back atmosphere. The place is pretty isolated being in Costambar and away from Puerto Plata and Sosua.
Mustang Ranch Resort (http://www.mustangranchresort.com) is a newcomer to the scene and used to be the old Field of Dreams Hotel, sold a bit ago to the owner of Cristal's Nightclub/Strip club (read- wh*rehouse) in Puerto Plata. For a set price you will be picked up at the POP airport and given a form of All Inclusive experience. Room, food, house drinks and one chica, all local girls, for 4 hours are set at one price (currently $179 USD). You are transported to Cristal’s to pick out a chica. Anything over 4 hours or multiple girls are extra. It is not been extensively reviewed yet by senior ISG members and current trip reports are spotty, running from negative to positive. It has been reported here that if you mention to the owner that you are an ISG member and promise to write a review, you will receive one more 4 hour session on top of what is published.
Oxygen (http://www.oxygenretreat.com), Charli’s Angels (http://www.charlisangels.com), Vikings (http://www.cat69.com) are all considered the ultimate in “spoon fed” venues. They are all “the high priced spread” with packages starting at $900 USD per day and way up from there. Extra girls and better accommodations cost extra. Oxygen uses top end local Dominican chicas, and the other two tend to go with Eastern European, Brazilian and Venezuelan chicas. These venues tailor themselves to the more affluent professional punter. Packages include most everything and are very discreet.

IMHO you get the best “bang for the buck” at BBs vs. the other options, but then again, to each their own. I'd like to see some more posts on MRR as I think this place has some possibilities. Every once in a while I think about going to a place like O2, but then I talk to some guys who have been to both and they think places like O2 are way overpriced for cost to value of services rendered. Take a good look at the local Photo Galleries to make sure you like the "island look" of these girls. Some guys just want light meat and don't appreciate the bubble butts on these local girls. Personally I cannot get enough of them. Language can be a problem at all these venues, but don't worry too much about that, you will always be able to get by.

The big all-inclusives at Playa Dorada will either refuse to permit guests, or demand a full one-night charge for a guest.
If you are looking for a sneak out for a "quickie", that's how Cristal's makes their money, for quickies from the AI resorts. All the cabbies will know where it is.
You might also look up Harborview Condos on the net.
Small, but well-run place and very guest-friendly.
BB also has a room available "by the hour", but its a little further away from the AI resorts.

You need to understand when you book an all-inclusive vacation and you're told you'll be going to Puerto Plata it is a fairly widespread area with Puerto Plata being the biggest city and closest proximity to the airport.
Bahia Principe at San Juan is about an hour to the east and is fairly isolated from what I understand with little or no action available.
Breezes would be a better choice as it is located between Sosua and Cabarete, a short cab ride to either location. There are a couple all-inclusives right in Sosua: Sosua Bay Hotel located right on the main beach and Casa Marina is more or less right in town with its own private beach. If you must go all-inclusive I would choose one of these two and rent a short time room at Rocky's or Calipso as you will not be able to bring girls back to your AI.
Sosua is your best bet as it is easy to get around on foot and there are girls available pretty much anytime you get the urge. Once you get a feel for the place it really grows on you. The nightlife is really something to see if you have not experienced it before and I would recommend it to anyone.
Puerto Plata city has the Playa Dorada AI complex and Mangu disco is a good place to pick up girls as well but then you need to take a cab into the city to a cabana which is inconvenient and gets a little more costly.
Take time to explore and learn the area because believe me you will be back and you'll be ready to hit the ground running next time. Hope this helps, have fun.

No they are very liberal but some of them are not into the same adventure as me, so I would rather do it without them knowing.Actually I understand and was (mostly) joking. I see from an earlier post you are much younger than me and you are lucky to still have friends that you can go on vacation with. Playa Dorada AI complex and Blackbeard's are located on opposite ends of Puerto Plata city with Playa Dorada situated on the eastern outskirts of the city and Blackbeard's situated in the gated community of Costambar on the western outskirts of the city.
Based on a fee of $40 US for a cab from the airport to BB's, a cab ride across the city would likely run you $15-20 US. It is not all that far but traffic thru the city is usually congested and slow. Hope this helps.
How Far is the Playa Dorada from BB, and appoximately how much is a cab ride to it?
Playa Dorada is about half-way from Costambar to the POP airport.
I'd say about 10-15 minutes awaybay car/cab and about US20 dollars.

I arrived a few hours before the bikini contest. I needed some relief from the voyage there, so I hired the masseuse, Maria for a massage. It was a great idea. She is thorough and very detailed. The catch, however, is that even though she is BB's massage person, she also works at times as a provider. Her rates are very reasonable: 500 pesos for 30 minutes, 1000 pesos for an hour. If I would have intercourse with her, I would have had to add the 1300 pesos charge for a ST with her. I did not. I waited for the bikini contest to make my list of potential targets. I must say, there are a lot of new girls from what I remembered from my first trip there. The winner was Johanny (Center in the photo), that girl did put on quite a show! If you take a cab from the airport, shortly after you enter the gate at Costambar, you will pass a few stores. On the left is the Pharmacy, on the right is Jenny's.
Have the cabbie park outside and you can change your money, buy some water, etc.
I usually change 200-300 dollars at a time.
Your hotel/bar bills at BB are best paid in cash, in dollars.

The Peso number on your bill is based on BB's current exchange rate. So you are better off going to Jenny's and getting enough pesos to pay for everything, including your room when you get there.
Single deluxe room for 1 week is 487us or (when I was there) 15,340 pesos. That same 487US at Jenny's bought me 16,509 pesos. Anytime you hand over a US bill at BB's you are taking a 7-8% hit.

I've also noticed that its good to ask simply "is there A room available? " rather than a particular type of room. The observers use it as an opportunity to "window shop".
Nice girls get committed fast and early, so be advised that if you are there to watch the girls arrive beforehand, make your dates quickly, even for the next day.

I get into DR for first time on Monday, first few days at BBs for an easy life, probably visiting crystals a couple of times for the experience, and then onto sosua at the new garden, then who knows. The Caribbean season ended in February. The regular season will start backup in October/November following the end of MLB in the states.
The most popular teams are Licey and Aguilas. Between them, I believe they have 40 or so championships. Regular season tickets are easy to get and can be bought an hour before the games (scalper or ticket window); however, all Licey vs Aguilas games can be harder to obtain. The Licey vs. Aguilas games are by far the best games to go to!!

MRR is halfway from the airport to Costambar/BB.
It is not yet as popular as BB, so rooms should be available.
One night will allow you to sample the "All-included Special".
(You can report on whether the food/drink is cut-rate or not. There have been conflicting reports on that).
Mangu, the disco at Playa Dorada (PD) , is just across the road after entering the PD complex. You can check it out that night if you choose, and see who you can pick up there.

I arrived MRR at 9:00 pm and as expected there were several rooms available. The girl at the counter took me to one room and the TV wasn't working properly so she gave me another room. Few minutes later I find out that the damn shower is not working in this room. Now i didn't want to switch the room again, so I managed somehow. The place is new and has several glitches that need to be fixed before it can be classified as an A class place.
The package costs $179 for one night, includes food and drinks, as well as one girl for 4 hours. If you decide to keep the girl beyond the 4 hours you have to pay $50 extra for overnight stay.
Let me start with the food part. I had the shrimps with Garlic sauce and rice, it was decent food. Bar is open till 11 or 12 at night don't remember exactly. Overall, the food quality is ok. As per drinks, some beers are included and some are not, so you better ask them first.
As per the girls, MRR provides you with a private Taxi that takes you to their club (Crystals). At Crystals you select a girl and bring her back to MRR, where she spends 4 hours with you. It's not like staying on the strip in Sosua but it is hardly in the middle of nowhere.

A while back I got in a heated exchange in which it appeared I was putting MRR down. So, being a contrary SOB, let me say in their defense.
It comes down to what your tastes are.
Guys manage to cry about BB because its in the "middle of nowhere".
If you want to be close to the bars, etc. then its Sosua, - but some ( like me) don't like spending time cruising bars till the wee hours.
MRR is Taxi distance to Sosua (about 20 minutes) for that.
Playa Dorada and Mangu disco is across the road.
If you want it all on-site with guys to "hang out " with, than BB is pretty good.
MRR is apparently not as busy as BB because of a different business model, but for a quiet place fairly centrally located, and fairly cheap ($50/night) it seems to fill a niche.

About 6 years ago I went to crystals, picked up a girl and spent the night with her. Puerto Plata, being a bigger city, has MUCH more non-pro, GFE and Notaputa action then Sosua. In fact, some of the old time Sosua guys have most of their girls come in from PP when they arrive, and I know a few guys that keep girlfriends in PP but stay in Sosua and shuttle them back and forth to keep a little distance between them and their steady. Friday and Saturday nights in the disco's of Sosua usually have a fair number of PP working girls on their night off.
The best action is Puerto Plata is the girl you happen to meet walking down the street, or while eating lunch, or at the store...

Santiago indeed has a lot of really hot light skinned girls with good hair. However, it is not unusal to find these girls in PP as they often need to get a little distance from their family home and their working environment.
There used to be several other places we went to in Santiago...One was called 'Riverside', which last time I checked was changing its name, and the other was a really cool outdoor venue with an interior bar room. I saw a concert there one time and took home one of the lovliest girls ever from the DR for TLN.
I've tried many, many different approaches to punting, each with varying degrees of success (though, in all truthfulness, if I've gotten to fuck some number of willing and attractive girls, I've always walked away happy). So, the vast majority of my experiences received final ratings of anywhere from 7 to 9.5 (out of 10)... and I consider 7 to be acceptable.
However, having said that, I'd love to find another option in the DR outside of:
1. Vikings, Oxygen, and the like
2. BBs, MRR
3. And trolling the bars for independents.
Now, if the girls at BB's were at the level of the girls from Vikings, and there were about 50 or more of them, this would not be an issue. It's hard to believe that, with punting so prevalent in the DR, one cannot either look through a catalog of high-end DR girls on the internet and make arrangements to meet those you've chosen, or go to someplace that's somewhat "middle-priced" (like halfway between Vikings and BB's) where there are truly beautiful (8's and 9's) local girls available. If I had one day....I would head to BB's. If they did not have a room pick up a girl(s) there and go to a Cabana (spelling) there are several within 10 min. of BB's on the main road just past the University. I have done that and it is a nice experience.

Most guys would likely have been satisfied with what was available, but apparently it didn't suit you. To each his own.
If you were willing to forego the cost for 5 nights of accomodation, you appear to be accustomed to paying more in exchange for "model quality" companionship. If that is the case, one of the higher priced places, like Vikings, etc, may be your cup of tea.

I know this thread has been pretty much hijacked as the BB's thread, but, I thought I'd ask a non-BBs related question: I've been to both Cristal's and Classico's and it seems to me there is better quality at Cristal's. Is it just me? Granted, I went to Cristal's on a Friday and Classico's on a Wednesday, but, it just seemed that given the high numbers of girls both nights, there would have been a better choice at both. It seemed like the only 8s and above were normal girls with their novios or esposos. I'd like to hear other opinions of the variance of quality chicas at the two clubs.

My trip to Sosua in general was a very happy experience, I had 17 sessions in my 7 nights, and by the time I was ready to leave i had no more LECHE in me. Damn I was drained and nothing but smiles. I would travel back to Sosua whenever I need to make a quick sex trip and when time is of essence.
After travelling world over following is my Top 10 rating of best places for punting. My ratings are a bit leaning towards latin america because i prefer latin girls over Asian girls. Ratings are based on overall quality of girls and the cost of girls. I have given more weight to quality of chicks then to price.
1. Rio De Janeiro, Brazil
2. Medellin, Colombia

You will get several different opinions to your questions, but for what it's worth, this is mine
I think that there are more 7-9's at Cristal's on a given night than at Classico's. I do tend personally to like the wider variety of girls at Classico's however.
I've been to Cristal's around 6 times, pulling a girl twice. The other times I was going with a group who had new guys who wanted to experience it. (It can be an experience) It wasn't that I didn't find anything to my liking, it's just that I chose not to play the prices asked. Even after negotiation, I found the prices to be on the high side. Each to his own. No criticism to those that do pay. Within reason of course. The times I went, I would say the majority of the women were a much higher quality than the majority of the women at Classico's. If I had to guess, I would say 60% + were in the upper range. From my experiences at Classico's. I would say an average visit from me would be about 30% or so in that upper range (7-9) Of course my tastes may be wildly different than yours or anyone elses. I tend to prefer darker skinned, and slightly thinner body types.
I do think the prices at Cristal's are too high though. Also, I've never been unable to find a girl I really wanted at Classico's on any given night. I also pay alot less than what I would have to even after negotiation at Cristal's.
I guess another factor for me is that at Cristal's, your choices are all there, there isn't much else to shop from. You have El Boheme, assuming its still there. I haven't visited the place in a couple of trips. That isn't too far.
At Classico's, if you don't find something you like, there are several other venues within walking distance.
Of course now I'm factoring in location as well, and not just the two places and their own selection of ladies on a given night.
As for the evenings you visit. I did notice several more very attractive women at Classico's on Friday and Saturday nights. It was noticeable to me, and the guys I was with. Of course I imagine it would work that way, as the place is busier and turns more numbers and warm bodies on the weekend. So odds are, with more selection, you have a couple extra stunners there.

Take motoconcho to Parque Central in Puerto Plata, then take publico taxi to Sosua. For return journey just reverse it. Public taxis run 24 hours a day. At night they have Transporte Nocturne signs on the roof.
It is not difficult and you don't need a guide.
You can also pick up Sosua taxis outside the public hospital in Puerto Plata, but Parque Central is easier.
In the daytime you can also take the Caribe tours bus from Puerto Plata to and from Charamicos, then motoconcho to Sosua.
...For return journey just reverse it. I don't think you need to reverse it. Taxis from SS all the way to BB are reasonable and you can deal with them.

Yes, the Costambar taxis are expensive and they have a fixed scale of charges.
How reasonable is reasonable? The publico taxi from Sosua to Puerto Plata is $1, a few cents more at night. Actually, if you stay in the taxi after all the other passengers have alighted, you can probably get the driver to take you to Costambar for about 500 pesos, though he is not supposed to do this. Alternatively you can call the Techi taxi in Puerto Plata, which is fairly cheap.

Yes, use the shared taxis. Walk to the Costambar gate and get the shared taxi to downtown Puerto Plata. Then take the shared taxi to Sosua. I paid US$1 for each leg.

Where is a good place to stay in Sosua. I usually go to SD and I stay at Hotel Mystik where everything is in walking distance (chicas, food, casinos).

I haven't used local cabanas. Other may have some good info for you regarding that.
As for the AI's nearby. Their radar is usually up, and from the few people I personally know who've tried it. They haven't had any luck getting chicas in.
You do need a taxi to get from Playa Dorada to BB's It's not within walking distance. Nowhere near that close, even if you enjoy walking

Playa Dorada to Blackbeard's are at opposite ends of Puerto Plata city with Playa Dorada being on the eastern outskirts of the city and Blackbeard's situated in the gated community of Costambar on the west end of the city. It is not in walking distance and likely a $20 cab ride.
There are cabanas reasonably close by Blackbeard's but not walking distance. As you leave Costambar, take a right on the main highway and they are located on the right hand side about halfway to Cofresi. I think their name is Hollywood.
As far as getting a chica into an AI with you, I don't think you can plan on that so be prepared for an alternate plan. Hope this helps.

For the prices I didn't expect much but we did pay for a room advertised as a double deluxe and it got awkward when my friend and I first stepped in and had to negotiate over who would be more open to voyeurism and not having anything to watch when we weren't with a chica. We decided that I would take the crappy room since I would be occupied with chicas far more than my friend and wouldn't miss the T. V. And since I am typically content with a bed, a toilet and not much else.
Additionally, the fan in the living room was not working but management quickly got on top of it and had someone fix it the same day we notified them. There was wireless internet in the lobby and actually in our room as well, which fed off the signal from the lobby. All in all a great trip. I met some really guys as well and enjoyed hanging out them. I will actually be back at BBs in early July.

I have no real issues getting pics. During my last trip in April, only one chica gave me an issue (I got 2 fake out pics) and when she told her friend who was with her the "deal", I did not get pics from her at all. Don't let the terminology of "darker girls" scare you away...you'll find something you like, unless you're just against the idea of being with a "black" woman.

I can understand it. They do not want others to see that crow bar in the rear end, especially if they live in a small community. It's like my neighbor's 21 year old daughter. Yes, you do not expect to use a condom for sex with a novia. In all the time I have been in the DR I have always had a chica with whom I had sex without condom, as sex with condom is, in my opinion, hardly worth a spit, though it IS a necessary precaution when having one-off sex.
Chicas will tend to have sex with you without a condom if they want to make you their novio. (I have had friends of a novia offering condomless sex--some friends!)
Personally I would always prefer to have condomless relationship sex with a chica I can have sex with as the moods takes, rather than be going out starting from ground zero with new chicas every day. However, that is probably just a personal preference.
A good side dish, though, is having a second chica along for a threesome, if the #1 is not too jealous.

Yes, you do not expect to use a condom for sex with a novia. In all the time I have been in the DR I have always had a chica with whom I had sex without condom, as sex with condom is, in my opinion, hardly worth a spit, though it IS a necessary precaution when having one-off sex.
Chicas will tend to have sex with you without a condom if they want to make you their novio. (I have had friends of a novia offering condomless sex--some friends!)
Personally I would always prefer to have condomless relationship sex with a chica I can have sex with as the moods takes, rather than be going out starting from ground zero with new chicas every day. However, that is probably just a personal preference.
A good side dish, though, is having a second chica along for a threesome, if the #1 is not too jealous.

Just got back from 4 days at Blackbeards. Found out that a few faves were "terminated":

All gone and I couldn't get a reason from chicas or waitresses on why. Anyone got anymore intel?
RodeoI was down at Blackbeards last night and spoke with Charo. She's had her surgery and is on the mend. I asked her about the changes and this is what she told me:
Gleny, the chica. Gone!.--Tried to rip off a customer and was let go. This is not the first time that she's been let go. But she'll be back
Leonelli, the chica. Gone!.--Didn't follow John's rules and was let go
Jacquelin, the chica. Gone!.--Wasn't performing up to standards and was let go. Apparently she didn't like us old guys
Ariela, the waitress. Gone!.-- Wasn't doing her job well and was let go. Blackbeards goes out of it's way to make sure that their customers get good service in the bar and restaurant

Also, Javier is gone as well. Another dispute with the owner. That makes 3 changes of managers in the last 6 months. Martha is running the show during the day and Paco is working nights. Paco is now training another manager. Odds are 5/1 that he will last less than 4 months.

The getting cut option is worth considering but aren't there some decent do it and forget it birth control choices for females these days? Implants, quarterly injections, that sort of thing that a chica would not have to be very responsible to use? Any experience with what's available, especially in the DR?

I can't speak with any authority as to what is available, but I presume that in the large cities, just about anything is.

I went to the pharmacy and also got online to do some research but did not come up with any conclusive results. Maybe it's called something else down there.
To make a long story short ,the pills I was paying for were for nausea and not pregnancy. Of course, shortly before I'm leaving she's claiming pregnancy and wants mucho dinero. Just keep this in mind fellas. I knew this girl for years and still she tried to pull this stunt on me. I knew it was a scam because one of her friends tipped me off when I split from my hotel half a day early. Supposedly her family showed up there looking for me but I was long gone.
It was abit of a scary experience but it goes to show you always have to keep your guard up.

Takes a few minutes and is relatively painless. Works for three years and has the added advantage of pretty much stopping the menstruation during that time. The cost comes out to less than that of the pill during three years. If they have it available in Peru, I´m sure it can be found in the family planning clinics in the DR. Having said that, the morning after pill is available in all pharmacies here without a prescription...but is only about 85% effective and shouldn´t be used more than once a month or so. Best just for emergencies.

I believe the morning after pill is available on the north coast. I had an unwise, unprotected, but extremely pleasurable time with a chica desperate to be my novia. Later (after the presidentes y brugal wore off) I told her we need to get a morning after bill. After I explained what it was she hit me with the "no puedo, soy católica". It would be good to know if any of these are available in the DR and what the cost is.
