Hello, all.
This is going to be a split report. I went to DR on a trip with my girlfriend. We had a few days planned in Punta Cana, and a couple of days in Santo Domingo.
We stayed at Barcelo Bavaro Resort in PC. I highly recommend this place if you are into seeing overweight European tourists who are somehow simultaneously pasty, sunburned, and pale. The 'perfect storm' of what I don't care to see poolside. The resort itself is very attractive and meticulously maintained. It's actually a huge resort with several different hotels, a casino, a golf course, and a disco. Otherwise, your typical upper/mid scale all-inclusive.
Well, I was on gf lockdown mode, so I was (mostly) a good boy. One night, she was feeling under the weather, as her "friend" came to visit. For the uninitiated, this is code for "she was having her period". So, being the prince of a guy that I am, I decided to let her get some sleep as I wandered the resort solo. I did the cursory check on the casino, and pumped $20 into the slots. Then headed into the on-site disco where a gaggle of 15 yr olds had commandeered the dance floor. The bartenders were pretty hot, as were the go-go dancers on these pillars next to the dance floor. That got me to thinking. Actually, that got 'mini-me' to thinking. I went to the doorman/security guy and asked in my semi-fluent (pretty good, actually) spanish about the local girls. Natch, he told me that I'd have to leave the resort and called me a taxi.
10 minutes by cab outside the resort, the taxi pulls up to a squat, non-descript building with alot of locals hanging outside. The cab driver talks to the door guy, and I'm ushered inside to a table. Weird set-up: a bunch of small tables facing a stage. Very plain, nothing fancy. Sexy brown-skinned girl dancing onstage. A blond (bleached) comes over and we chat. She's cute, but I like dark skinned brunettes. Anyway, I buy her a drink or two while negotiating. We settle on $60US and we meander over to a different squat, non-descript building (notice a trend here?) attached to the club.
Inside is a clean bathroom and a bed. I work this little honey over, making certain not to waste too much time. I hit her in three positions: doggie with me standing, missionary, and her on top. I don't kiss in general, but she was sucking on my neck and sticking her tongue in my ear. She was extremely passionate and not at all rushed. If anything, I was the clock-watcher since I knew that I had my honey back at the resort. I washed up pretty well while chatting to her some more. My taxi guy was still outside, and took me back to the resort. A very nice night for under $80 including transportation. Given that this is the DR, I def overpaid, but was willing to do that since my flexibility was limited. The taxi guy didn't pump me for a tip, beacuse I know his end was in that $60.
2 days later, we went to Santo Domingo. Under the ruse of a massage, I left the hotel (she had gotten a massage in PC at the resort). I was staying at a big hotel on the Malecon (recommendation: stay at Melia or Renaissance). I walked out to the cab line, but the same taxista who had taken us to Boca Chica the previous day was next on line. Not wanting this dude to know my business, I walked out to the street. I caught some bootleg taxi in the worst piece-of-shit car imaginable. The upside is that this shady guy knew where all of the "massage" joints were. He drove me two blocks over to a "peluqueria" right near the Melia hotel, and close to a restaurant called "La Bodeguita de Habana Vieja".
We head inside, and I have a choice of only two chicks. I'm tolerant, as it wasn't even noon yet. Again, another blonde, and a REAL cutie who looked marginally of age. In retrospect, I HOPE she was 18. We go upstairs to a clean room with a bed, and a lamp on the nightstand. This girl was young, and fairly new to the business. Her skin was perfect, no tats, no marks. Nice b-cups with dark, eraser nips. Since it was early in the day, she smelled great. I'm guessing that I was the first customer. For $65 bucks, including the room and the drinks that I bought the madam and both girls, this was a super experience. The girl took great care of me and I was in no way rushed. You always try to strike a perfect balance between an ingenue, and a wildcat pro with tons of experience. Give me the nubile 19 yr old any day.
I know you guys are partial to the regular bar girls in Sosua and PP. Or to the predatory girls in BC. I'm not into that scene as much. For me, this trip was perfect. Time with my girl, some cool clubs in Santo Domingo, casinos, and some off-brand pussy.
A nice balance.
Dark Knight: I'm glad you enjoyed your experience, but IMHO it seems that you over paid a bit for the 'action' by the Melia motel in Santo Domingo. Approximately 3,000 pesos! You should have received multiple pops and hours with both girls for that price! BTW, what was the name of this 'peluqueria' (hair salon) where this action took place?

Yeah. No doubt that I overpaid. On future visits, I will definitely adjust down to the market average. From reading the posts on this forum, I've developed a much better sense of the prevailing market rates. Generally speaking, I don't mind being overly generous with third world girls if I'm dealing with them directly. But, I don't want to provide higher profit margins for the 'house'.
I didn't have the time to flip the kind of episodes you described (wish I did). With my honey waiting back at the hotel, I had 90 mins - 2 hours max.
I didn't get the name of the sham peluqueria that I visited, but it's on the same street as the aforementioned restaurant, close to the Malecon. It's a plain 'house-type' building with bars on the door, and a couple of 'hair model' posters in the ground floor window. Ask a driver.
Forgot to mention that I met a local lady in SevenToSeven who surreptitiously gave me her number. So, I'll hook up with her next trip.
For my money, I'd MUCH rather head to SD to hit the casinos than to Vegas, Atlantic City, or Foxwoods. And the Atlantis is a family resort.

I know that this may not be the most simple question, but what should be the price for a 30 min session on average for a good looking Dominican bombshell that ISN'T the gringo price? I have found that you get (level of quality) what you pay for alot of times in countries other than DR, so a girl rated in the 7-9 range should be about how much? Just curious as I plot out my travel.

I frequently read dominican newspapers looking for classified ads of massage parlors. They usually post prices averaging 25 usd for full service (1 hr.) and 40usd for 2hrs. Some also give you discounts if you give a print of their internet webpages discounts. My experience is that they are going to ask more than advertised, usually 50-75 usd to finally end to a price near advertised if you refuse to pay the initial offer. Some places also pay a fee to taxi drivers and to the guys that are outside bringing them customers.
Jaragua girls arent usually the best overall but I met the prettiest one I have ever met there so there are chances of to find a good one there.
I prefer to stay at the Jaragua when I visit Santo Domingo, great nightlife, no chica friendly but there are lots of nice cheap motels less than 10 minute distance going west by el malecon.

I am going to vent my spleen here about the curse of PFP in the world. Transportation.
No matter where I go, traffic sucks, drivers are idiots if not maniacs ,and my insurance won't cover me there. So I have to find a "chauffeur",ie taxi.
THEN, every friggin one of them gets a cut of the prize,so my cost goes up!(and the girl's get hosed).
Is it just better to STEAL a car from the street?! My two fave places , RD ,and MX, have got to have el peor conductors .
I have used what I thought was an independent driver to SD last month, but he knew everyone there.So how does one find a driver that will get you where you want to go for a minimal cost to you and the girls?

Well I just got back from 6 days in SD and I have a little info you guys might want to know. For one thing the Jaragua is now chica friendly, they just changed the policy a little while ago I guess due to business, all you have to do is fill out a form that you take responsibility for who you bring and it is all good.
Next thing you might want to know is that out of the 10 or so places that I visited I would have to say that the Mona Lisa had about the prettiest girls ratio of them all. Every place had some stunners but as far as ratio I have to give it to Mona Lisa. Remington had a couple of nice ones, but out of 50 girls I only saw about 4 that really blew my mind. I did take one though , her face was nice but her body came straight from heaven. The price at Remington was a ROCK SOLID 4000 pecos for all night. I used all of my negotiating tactics and they wouldn't budge. And it was three of us taking 4 chicas and they still wouldn't budge. Mona lisa was steady at the same price for all night but you did get a 1500 pecos option for 1 hour fs.
The pecos while I was there were at 43-1 90% of the time.

Fellow Mongers, I really enjoy the posts, but I am alarmed that mongers would be willing to pay 4000 for FS. In 2003, the average Dominican earned around 9000 per month! (www.worldbank.org).
If a chica asks for 4000, laugh and walk away. It's a buyers market out there. Do you think that the regular Dominican playa is giving up two weeks pay for a night of FS. Hell no!
Tell the chica no and step off. There aill be another culo to latch onto. Remember, caveat emptor, and look out for your fellow mongers. Prices are inflated 'cause "Herbs" are foolishly giving it up!

Hey Guys,
This is my first report. I've been lurking since the days of Atta (1995) and have benefited greatly from your insights into the scene in the DR and elsewhere. I have especially enjoyed *******'s excellent work - thanks! I'm mostly interested in picking up non-pros and semi-pros. Throughout the years I have picked up some bits and pieces of wisdom that I hope will be of some use in this regard. Some of these have been mentioned by others here before. So, if you see something that you or someone else may have said, please accept my imitation as a compliment.
1. Bring your cell phone to the DR and get it activated immediately!!! Another writer said this in the past and it is the TRUTH. Pass out that number to every chica hat you can. If you are even moderately more attractive than a troll, you will receive a response that will blow you way. I once gave my number to a girl and completely forgot what she looked like. She called me and said she wanted to hook up. While I didn't remember who she was, I figured that she must have been cute or I wouldn't have given her my number. I told her to swing by after midnight. She said OK. Later, after a full day and exhausting day of chasing chicas I returned to my room. Much to my surprise she showed up and gave me a night I will never forget.
2. KNOW THAT 90% OF WOMEN IN THE ARE APPROACHABLE!!! Unless there is some obvious reason not to try (e.g., she's a nun), any above 18 is fair game. Again, don't let you insecurities - about, looks, weight, hair loss, etc. - keep you from getting what you want. Remember, you are an exotic foreigner and perceived to rich and special by them. With all due respect, the guys in the DR are the same old tired love-them-and-leave-them papi chulos who get them pregnant and then move on the next lighter-skinned girl. The single mothers are especially vulnerable and looking for an out from the island. Use the current economic crisis for your advantage. There is no such thing as a "good girl" in the DR. These girls generally started having sex in their mid-teens. And they usually have two or three boyfriends (as well as the father of their baby) coming by to get some and drop off a few pesos.
3. THERE IS NO BAD PLACE TO PICK UP AMATEURS AND SEMI-PROS. Book stores, restaurants (waitresses and women simply eating), the Codetel office, a tee-shirt shop, ANYWHERE. The best places in Santo Domingo are the CONDE, MALECON, MERENGUE BAR, and NIGHTCLUBS (Jet Set, etc.)
4. Tell them whatever they need to hear. You're a hot-shot lawyer from New York (tell them your specialty is immigration law and you are sure to get laid), a plastic surgeon from Miami Beach, you own the Dallas Cowboys, whatever. 90% of they are going to tell you is pure fiction too - THEY ARE ALL STUDENTS (it's incredible, you'd think that 90% of the female population under 35 are university students.) THE BEST LINE IS THAT YOU LOVE THEIR CULTURE AND THAT YOU'D LIKE TO MARRY A DOMINICAN GIRL (If that doesn't work - give up and hit the massage parlors).
5. Bring lots of cheap gifts like $5 or $10 perfumes, etc. to give them after completing the deed. You'll always have a "girlfriend" down on the island.
6. Try to learn some Spanish, a little bit will go a very long way.
7. Don't be shy about saying for what you want in bed. Dominican girls are used to guys who do whatever they want - why should you be any different? With all due respect, I am tired of hearing "Dominican girls do this, but not that" - PLEASE! You can get these girls to pose for photos, do threesomes, whatever - just be confident.
8. Notwithstanding the healthy dose of cynisim that I've injected here about Dominicanas, they are still incrediblely lovely women. Treat them with respect and - for God's sake - don't be cheap. It's one thing not to want to have to pay for sex, but it's entirely another thing not to take a girl out to a nice dinner of a club and make the experience special for her as well.
I hope those few words are helpful.
NOW I HAVE A QUESTION:
Have any of you used Amigos.com or MSN PROFILES to hook up. Does that really work? I was browsing the MSN ads and there are some hotties there. INCREDIBLY I recently saw a really hot girl's photo that I picked up on El Conde years ago - she was a semi-pro "student" (Perhaps I've been around too much) I'd like to hear your sucesses or failure using this strategy.

Great Gavola: The peso also averaged close to 40 when I was there last Nov.- Dec. And I hit almost every joint in SD then, and not one of them charged over 2,000 pesos for TLN outcall after negotiaitions! You mean to tell me that Remington or Mona Lisa wouldn't take less than 4,000 each from you and your 2 friends for 4 girls take out TLN?! They demanded 16,000 pesos?! If so, I would have laughed at them both, and immediately left laughing, reminding them that I'm a member of WSG Forum and that I'll inform thousands of fellow member about these clubs' sorry ass prices, and suggest other places! For what they were demanding, you should've been able to rent the ladies for 2 days apiece FS outcall with multiple pops!

I am truly sorry that I let you down with the price but that was what it was and the two buddies I had were dead set on the girls they picked. Trust me I would have left right there if I was on my own but I was playing host and these guys were telling me I was killing their night by haggling so much. What can I tell ya? But it is true they were not coming down on the price. If someone is getting a better price, report about it , information is our best weapon.
Great Gavola: No need to apologize. Hopefully next time you'll be a little more firm on receiving a lower price. Not all of us have money to burn like your friends seemed to! As far as reporting about a better price; in case you were referring to me, I posted about all my adventures, including negotiations in my extensive January 04 SD reports! Last year I posted my picture and profile (in Spanish) on Amigos.com. The feedback was mind blowing!!! I received something like 140 emails in a three month period. (honest). A ton from Colombia with Mexico and Argentina running second and third as I recall.
I met two girls in Honduras for dinner and drinks both about 8's. Didn't follow up with any Dominicanas though. The silver package only runs about $9 a month. I guess you would say I recommend it but the girls are all "straight-up", looking for marriage or a serious relationship - or at least the ones I heard from were. Didn't get a "party girl" vibe from it but of course YMMV. Can't comment on MSN profiles.

Gavola. . . .the Price at Remington is 2000 pesos. I was there a few days a go. I'm glad you got Mona Lisa to agree to 1500 for an hour on premises. Recently they have had a "get as much as we can" policy.
I met a guy from Holland that paid 4000 pesos for the one hour on premises. When I told him it was 1500 he was pissed. He grabbed a girl and threw 1500 pesos on the counter. They of course took it.
The next time I was there the manager was pissed at me. . . .told me 1500 was my price, not for everyone. . . .BS. . .I asked what is the regular price. . . . .she said she didn't want prices posted online etc.
I have heard that Spa Michelle has tried similar. Truth is their website says 200 for full, 1000 for sencillo and 4000 for a salida.
The best deal right now is Sueno Reals, but their selection is not even close to Mona Lisa caliber.
They are running ads in local papers with special. Monday and tuesday it is 600 pesos for sencillo, 900 for sencillo with 2 chicas, and 1200 with 3. Thursday fulls are 1000 pesos.
There are a few new places as well. Dreams up north near the Acropolis mall. Executive on the other side of the bridge on the las americas service road. Stefani which is a few block away from Mona Lisa.
There is also a new place way up north in Arroyo Hondo. Have not been there yet, but they apparently open at 3 PM.
Now with Jet Blue and Delta heading to DR and the Jarragua guest friendly there are going to be a lot more mongers starting or ending their trip here.
With 6 MPs with in walking distance and the clubs around the corner its a great location.
I plan on going 2-3 times a year starting in the fall.
I believe it is #35 calle danae. It is off of independencia, right near the Computer Institute and the Communist party headquarters.
From Independencia make a left on danae, Mona Lisa will be a block and a half up the street on the right.
They, unlike most MPs have a sign. Although the sign is for their Hotel/restaurant etc.
I saw Great Gavola's post dated 04/01 that the Jaragua Hotel is now guest-friendly! For those that have stayed there can you give me a quick "run-down?"
How is the pool? Restaurant? Bar/s? What's the nightly price?
Is there a corporate price? Are there different levels of rooms? Any charge for guests? You said that you just fill out a guest card.
This sounds interesting, after 12 days on the north coast in February the rest of my vacation time for this year is still wide-open! :)

I saw Great Gavola's post dated 04/01 that the Jaragua Hotel is now guest-friendly! For those that have stayed there can you give me a quick "run-down?" I stayed there 3 or 4 times
How is the pool? Big Restaurant? Bar/s? Many thru out the complex What's the nightly price? $99 plus tax.
Is there a corporate price? Are there different levels of rooms? Any charge for guests? Last time no. You said that you just fill out a guest card.
This sounds interesting, after 12 days on the north coast in February the rest of my vacation time for this year is still wide-open!

I stayed at the Juragua a bunch of times a few years back. There are rooms in the main bldg and rooms in a seperate "garden bldg". The main rooms are more expensive. Back when I stayed there main rooms were 120-150 and garden rooms were 99 bucks.
Restaurants there are really only 2 now. The "cafe" and Champions sports bar. Both are "OK" neither are great. There are a ton of places to eat nearby though.

Actual rates for Jaragua are: $93 to $109 plus tax in garden room,
$99+ in tower. I have been there 4 times (garden room) and always paid $89 plus tax, a huge buffet breakfast included. Always booked by phone. There is a main 10 floor building and a 2 floor garden room building. Jubilee disco is in back of building and next to garden rooms. The hotel has a huge pool with a bar, tennis courts, gym, a souvenir-convenience store, beauty parlor, tobacco store, a main restaurant open 24 hours, Champions sport bar and the best casino of all Dominican Republic, with live music every evening in the famous Merengue Bar that is inside the casino. Just sit in the left-back part of merengue bar where there areat least a dozen girls waiting for you. Some others usually hang in the lobby or in the alley next the garden rooms
Lapsus and Tabu are in back of hotel near garden rooms. At least 5 massage parlors 5-10 minute walking distance from this hotel. Street girls can be found in some points in the malecon area: Near Napolitano, Jaragua and Melia Hotels, near the restaurants walking distance from Napolitano to colonial zone,
near la Ceniza(ruta cervecera) and De Noche disco. Also in front of Dollhouse. Best time to visit Santo Domingo is in December (Last two weeks) and in July for festival del merengue. Thousands of people on the streets and a lot of girls that "dress to impress" .
Napolitano is another guest friendly hotel. Completely remodeled and now they charge near a hundred per night, tax and breakfast included. Nice hotel but I still prefer el Jaragua. I made reservations for July, and as always I am going to have lots of fun.
Just an FYI. . . .the 24hour restaurant in the Juragua is no longer open 24 hours! I was starving a few weeks back and figured I can atleast grab a bite there as champions was already closed. No dice. . . . .pardon the pun.
The Jarragua is the best of the best. Its a great big resort hotel and I have about 50 pictures of it. If interested I can post a few of them here so let me know by PM
hey guys, I was in Santo Domingo for 1 week, I went to boca chica, I spend most of my time mongering in the afternoon, I went to dreamspa 4 times, cool girls, I'm fluent in spanish, so I didnt have a problem with anything, they will let you do them whatever the heck you want, most of the girls were 18, one 23, and another 21, of course the 18 girls don't have the experience and abilities that the 21 & up ones, but it was fun, I went to the malls the acropolis is very cool, and where all the classy normal dominican girls go, I saw a lot of damn hot girls overthere.
It was an ok trip, I went by my self and almost got robbed once, so my last days I was just trying to watch my back most of the time.
I also went to a couple of discos, 7 to 7, hollywood bar, and another one, with all the normal girls go, very beutiful all of them, with big asses.
I stayed in the apartahotel Drake in naco, and in a cheap ass hotel around the corner from Naco hotel casino, I don't recommed this cheap hotel, it sucks.
The bad part is that I couldnt find any of the massage parlos, over in la zona colonial, I was walking like crazy all freaking day, and no luck, only when I got a taxi, I was able to go there.
I'm from Cali, but I'm moving to MIami, in the next month so I hope that I could pay a visit to DR again.
Overall beutiful chicks, nice country, great *****, food it was not that good, and everything pretty cheap.

I tried using the Msn profiles before my trip, and yeah dude theres a lot of hot gals there. I got a couple of responses, but most of the time there were all old emails, and the ones that I got the emails, I couldnt meet them while I was there.

ATL Dennis. . .the courtyard is on Gomez not far from where the old US Consulate was. Some of the night time casas are up north off of gomez. You are not really far from anything but not walking distance either.
In the day time your best bet is to take a taxi to gazcue and one of the massage places. There are 6 or 7 withing walking distance of each other.
At night there are a bunch of choices, all short can rides from your hotel.
After being a localized (Denmark) monger for a few years I decided to expand my horizon and got a good deal on flight to Santo Domingo in the beginning of May.
Although I have read more than a year back and 2004 in most forums/countries in the Caribbean there are stills some questions that rises for a new 'international monger'.
Are there any general 'warning signs', except the most obvious, when you are not able to speak the tounge of the place you decide to explore that you should pay special attention to? Should you bring protection for the little guy youself, or do the girls have these (the do in Denmark).
In Santo Domingo, are there any 'safe bets' as to where to start, to get an easy entry into the whole thing.
About taxies, are there any reccomendable, whom have been used recently. I've seen numbers in this forum, but the posts were almost a year old.
Also, if anyone are in SD between the 5th and 14th of May, I'm open for a little tutoring in the monger business.

Condoms all the way or only during penetration? My experience is that most girls in Santo Domingo do not use condoms during oral sex. Oral sex is less risky than penetration but there is some risk. In my opinion, for a new guy, Sosua wins hands down. You can go to the palace and find your self in heaven 30 minutes after arriving! It's easy and there are always guys hanging around who can show you the ropes!
You can always branch out to the capital... later on.
I'm actually thinking about changing my trip from SD to Sosua after reading a little.
Are there any difference in the pricelevel of SD and Sosua when it comes to Chicas?
I'll second that albeit SD action never kicked in on me. A first timer will find his way around pretty easy in Sosua. It's a small town but you got everything on hand. It will be more difficult to find your way in la capital, not only the good bars, expats to hang out with and the juicy fruit the city offers.
Certainly they are right there but it will take you more then a week to figure out the local savoir vivre.

I will be in the DR May 30th till June 6th flying out at pm back to ATL VIA Miami on a night layover with one of my fine broads in southbeach! My new favorite place is Hotel Atalaya and costs about 30US a night. It is an aparta-hotel because sometimes I prefer to cook for a woman I am seeing with wine (I recommend Carmen and can be picked up at Sirenas Supermercado or any liquor store) and like the kitchenette type of thing. I used to stay at Hotel Napolitano but prices have went up to about 85US a night. I have also stayed at San Geronimo Hotel which was moderate in price as well. There is also the Mercure and El Palacio near the Colonial Zone but are more expensive. Most smaller/moderate hotels don't have webpages but just do a google search and you can find the addresses and phone numbers.
Do you have any electronic way of contacting Atalaya or is phone the only way?

Santo Domingo has stuff happening every evening but of course, not as many people going out like on the weekends though. I hang around the Colonial Zone for the nightlife. Hook up with some girls you meet there and arrange to meet them later, you can meet hundreds during the day in the Colonial Zone, get digits, and invest in a cell phone. Cheap ones are about 30US. Two main types Orange and Verizon. I prefer Orange but almost equal. There are so many bars in the Colonial Zone that it is almost impossible to name or give directions to any. I don't stop at touristy places/clubs/bars in the capital so I just walk if I don't have plans to meet a certain girl, look around to see if I see single Dominicanas and they will be sitting in a group because most don't go out by themselves, and take it from there. If I don't like the place I leave and keep on going. There is a University and college students are often seen walking with their books so you either have game or you don't. What you do is up to you. Only you can determine how successful you will be with normal girls or college girls, a little luck always helps as well. If you want massage places and brothels like Remington Palace others will have to help you out because I don't go there and just scroll back a few pages.
Editing to add, yes the Boca Chica Beach is packed on Sundays, hundreds of people. Busiest day of the week. Don't try hooking up with girls you see with their parents or with boys around, can be trouble. Hit on the Dominicanas in a group that are female only. They used to have a website but it doesn't work anymore. I just made reservations for me about a week ago to stay in a junior suite there. They have standard, jr.suite, deluxe/sr suite. I believe it was quoted to me for 1400RD and they took my info down for my reservations. Phone number that I used was 809 534 6565 Peso is seeming to maintain consistency but those in finance know, it won't last, in the last two weeks between 41-45. In March I stayed for 1400RD when exchange rate was in the low 50's (52-53) This week the peso has slowly risen gradually and as of 4/15 almost universal throughout the country, the peso was between 44.6-45.2 This week has been rising approx .25 a day So approx for a junior suite, which I recommend due to being a better/bigger room and only 200RD more than the standard room I believe will run you about 30US.
Hipolito is trying to control/freeze the dollar to further his reelection bids by trying to make it seem like the Peso is gaining strength and is not as volatile as thought, anything to try to appease the masses. I guarantee within 2 weeks after elections in mid May, approx by June 1, the Peso will devaluate to 55RD-60RD if it doesn't do it sooner due to demand for the dollar and the peso's weakness.

The Rennaisance Jaragua Hotel is lleno (full, soldout) from Tuesday June 22nd to Saturday June 26th or at least so says Expedia and Travelocity. Anyone have a website or "backdoor" way of getting a room during this period?

Power outtages are now rampant in pretty much all parts of the country. 12 hour blackouts are not uncommon. Once the election was over the president didn't have to pressure the electric companies to supply power even though he owes em millions.
If you are staying at a hotel though, it doesn't really matter much. Most hotels and restaurants have generators and will be up and running like normal.

I am travelling to Santo Domingo/Boca Chica from July 1 through July 5. I have been to the area twice, but not since 2002. I have a couple of questions:
1. Are there any decent guest friendly hotels in Santo Domingo?
In the past I stayed in the Jaragua (nice, but you have to use the cabanas) and the V Centenario. There were reports back then that the Centenario was guest friendly but I found out at 2:00 AM that it wasn't, so it was off to the cabanas again.
2. Is the Remington still the place to go or is there a better place? Illusions?
3. Does anyone know of a reliable car service? I will be spending one night in SD and then I am going to Boca Chica for the remainder. I used to know a guy in SD that was a good guy, but I lost his information.
4. In Boca Chica, I heard that Darrin's Portofino has been closed. Is there another good ex-pat bar to hang out in during the day?

Paco's address won't help all that much. The best way to find it is head out towards Boca Chica, after the overpass to the airport, make a U turn. Once you head back towards SD Pacos will be on your right behind the over pass next to Mundo Center.
Mundo Center is a regular "local" club. It can be packed on sunday late afternoons!
Chances are you will be the only gringo there. . . .which could be cool.

I stayed at he Jaragua June 3rd through June 6th and it was no problem bringin honies through. I brought about two-three chicas up per day to the room. They need to have their Identification to check in at the front desk, the front desk attendents make copies of the ID's and run checks on your chicks (It's a no-hassle process and just takes a quick second). They only did this during the evening hours aftr dark. During the day you can bring them in and out with no hassle as long as you don't look so obvious and the chicas don't look like sluts. During the day it was a breeze, with chicas just coming straight to the room no problem to see papi and sometimes at night, It just depends on your chica. But once again the Jaragua is fine with guests, no problem!

Renaissance Jaruaga is "the Jaragua" and AFAIK, not guest friendly. Also overpriced and not all that handy a location to El Conde where the bars and chicas are. It IS close to the massage parlors in Gazcue, e.g. Mona Lisa, Pisne, and one other and Spa Michelle on Av. Santiago.
For street girls you need to be near El Conde.

I am writing you from an internet cafe on Avenido Tiradentes in downtown Santo Domingo. I am presently on my 6th trip to the Domincan Republic in the past year and I will be down here for weeks so stay tuned for reports from all over the south coast.
I arrived on Saturday night and this is the first time I have been able to get on the computer.
Past posters have asked if a newbie should start his first monger trip in Sosua or in Santo Domingo. Trust me as an experienced monger you should stick to the north coast, it is much easier to get around and is much more tourist friendly. I could give someone the 5 cent tour of Sosua in 20 minutes and they would be all set! Even though I am 6 foot and 1 inches tall I feel like a very little fish in a very big pond down here!! You need a good driver, and I have one and you need to work your contacts. I have only been down here for 3 days but already it appears that working girls "graduate" from the north coast and move down here to make some "real money". I haven't encountered any crime issues at all, if you stay sober (sigh) and stay smart you will be fine.
I have a s' load of clubs and bars to hit I will hit this boad often. I was just in the shower and my little soldier looked up at me and said "What's the story Ford, do you think I'm going to take care of my self?" I got the message.

I'm back again chock full of info for the board. I have a driver by the name of Manuel Francisco Perez his cell# is 1-420-3994. He is the 3rd driver I have used becuase the first two were driving me nuts! When a driver annoys you, dump him immediately its not worth the stress.
Manuel is a nice guy he knows all the hot spots and he is pleasant company. He, however, speaks NO english. If this is a problem for you don't use him.

You will have to believe me on the last two numbers but I have loaded up my 5.0 megapixel digital camera with pictures of her so I will be able to prove to you all that she is a 9.0! This City is packed with gorgeous women, but as far as price goes things are not the same as I am used too. I'm a long, long way from Sosua and Cabarete. As I know however, this is my 6th trip and you can bargain for anything. Its all about the politics I have been pushing my driver hard, and he has already told me he can "squirrel" two girls out of Casa Remington Palace for 1500 rdp (local price) for me tonight on the "down low".

My driver Manuel Perez advertises that he speaks both Italian and English but I am yet to hear one word in English.
I have the address of Club Alibi - it is at Ave. 5ta. at the intersection of Calle #12. Tel # 766-3655. I strongly reccomend going to this place especially if you are a Gringo Americano with NO Spanish ability. The managers name is Marcos (Dominicano) but you can ask for El Dueno (the owner) his name is Alan he is American and, of course speaks English he can recommend a chica for your particular taste and can work with you on the price.
I am off to dinner and than "fun". My driver is picking me up at 7 pm sharp and he is supposed to have the Remington Palace chicas w/ him at the local price of 1500 pesos para cada. If I can't decide maybe I'll take both. Only one girl a night can get kinda' boring! Besides I miss the "cat fights" over me that I am used to from the High Caribe!!
As I have said before I feel completely safe in this town. I have some balls so that may have something to do with it, but I don't have any safety concerns. Seems like you have discovered a few places (Casa Alibi, Casa de Princessa) that I didn't know of on my last trip there last Nov-Dec. Unfortunately it seems now that these places (according to your reports), as well as a few of my old haunts like Mona Lisa and Spa Michelle are charging considerably more than when I was there! The place I had the best time and the most bang for my buck was Geisha Paradise. Casa Modelos was also cool, with no pressure, lots of good looking chics, and reasonable take out rates. BTW, I wore shorts most of the time there in Nov.-Dec. I don't think I could survive wearing long pants down there now. Enjoy your trip! I wish I was there!

I always read the Listin Diario (local newspaper) webpage for classified ads on "casas" and there are two or three with girls from Canada, Colombia, Venezuela and Brazil, as advertised. They post prices from 500 pesos and up but I think prices are for locals only. Go to www.listin.com.do and click the "clasificados" link on the right of the webpage, then "servicios", then "ver." there are some phone numbers there. Have fun!

The El Conde Section of Santo Domingo:
Like so many other places that I have gone Santo Domingo has a large area that lures tourists - its known as the El Conde pedestrian walkway or a.k.a "The tourist trap"!
El Conde runs from Parque Independencia all the way down to the Museo de las Casas Reales to the east. It is a walkway (only) that is lined with fast-food restaurants, clothing stores and stores that sell every kind of assorted crap you can think of. While you walk you will approached on both sides by beggars and bums so be prepared.
At the end of each street and adorning the walkway are large stone structures, fortresses and parks dedicated to famous people in Dominican history that contributed in one way or another to this countries rich history and for their fight for independence.
The parks are largely a place for the homeless to sleep, so as I walked I can remember chuckling to myself that it sure is a good thing that there were so many famous people in Dominican history - because as a result there are many parks - as a result the homeless have a place to sleep (lol). If there were less famous people the homeless would all kind of be skwooshed together in just a few places! (lol)

I hailed a taxi for my trip down to El conde and I told my driver about what my true intention was on this trip. Since he didn't jave anything particular to do he said he would wait for me as I walked down thru Conde.

He said that he told me on the first night that he knows 28 different places and which night is good for each! (amazing)

Santo Domingo is an "effin" amazing place! The most beautiful women from all over the DR travel here to work in the Casas and as a result - the most beautiful women in the country, the caribbean and quite possibly THE WORLD are available within 20 blocks from where I am sitting right now! All this and this is before i have even seen the "famous" Casa Remington Palace yet.
If you are traveling here on business and have legitimate business here or better yet your company is paying for your trip- then you are "the king!!" For a 4000 - 5000peso salida (less than 100$) you will be able to spend an evening with a stunning beauty - "no problem"
If you are like the rest of us and travel only for "monkey" business than there are absolutely cheaper places to go for your yankee dollar but I can't believe any better!
Yes, I have softened alot in 6 days. Santo Domingo is still a dirty, poor town especially for a national capitol but the women here are "dreams!!"
It says on the map that I am about 4 hours away from the north coast and the towns of Cabarete and Sosua, but some how this can´t be correct because I feel that in terms of p4p I am in a different WORLD!!

I think it is probably appropriate to use this space to say a couple of words about my driver. With all due respect to the fine posts and reccomendations that have come before incl. those by the very informative and knowledgable senior member GPiper, my driver is UNREAL!!!
His name is Manuel Francisco Perez is telephone # 1-420-3994. He speaks both English and Italian although take it from me his english is not very strong.
Here is the thing about this guy that is absolutely amazing!!!! He is the most "plugged in" s.o.b I have ever met in my life. he has a brother that lives in Yonkers NY and he thrives on helping gringos.
I have spoken to 4 other drivers and they have told me that there may be between 8 - 12 casa de citas in the city of Santo Domingo, and they are pretty sure they can get you to almost all of them.
Manuel told me that this is a lie! There are over 30 casa de citas and he not only can get you to all of them he knows the owners on a first name basis! He knows the best nights to go to all of them and I have already been to 22!!
The other night he said that #31 was opening - it is owned by a guy named Jesus and he is a friend of his. We walked down a little corridor around a few chickens and then up a flight of stairs and sure enough behind a curtain out steps 7 beautiful women in evnening gowns.
I have asked other drivers about Manuel, like a guy named Raul who I used to get to the Colonial Zone the other day and he said Manuel is a real "freak". Says he knows the casas better than anyone who has ever lived! We make two lefts, three rights, two more lefts and a u-turn and then we are in casa Felly or Nelly or Kelly or Lelly and out come 20 knockoputs in swimsuits!! I have never seen anything like it. If you ask a different driver he may very well never heard of those places.
All this from a guy who I wanted to fire at least three times.

To give you an idea of what I mean here is an example.
There is a member of this board who posts very infrequently. He probably wouldn't be crazy about me mentioning him but here goes. His handle here is "fantasy" and if anyone has ever met him you are definitely better for the experience. He is a really nice guy, intelligent, speaks very solid Spanish, sharp as a tack and totally "plugged in" to the scene down here.
He runs a contest called the Sosua "Miss Sexy" pagaent and he gets some absolutely gorgeous women as contestants!! They come from all over the north coast and some of them are real stunners!!

First of all Ford, why drag me into these comparisons. Santo Domingo and Sosua truly are two different planets. One thing I can agree on is that the talent level in Santo Domingo is easier to find. It reminds me of my Costa Rica days. There was no reason to leave the Del Ray if all you went for was the best talent at the highest prices without a "hunt". I always try to include a three day trip to the capital in my trips to the DR. One of the reasons I don't go more often is this driver you are mentioning so often. I don't want a driver or a guide. and as you must agree, Santo Domingo does not work without "wheels".
You mentioned "Miss Sexy", it turns out that second and third place girls in 2003 both came from Santo Domingo that morning. By the way, the format will return to "Miss Elegante" this year. You mention quality alot, but that is a very "loose term". Most of the girls I fuck, and consider quality would probably be of no interest to most guys on this board. I tend to like very thin girls with a flat stomach, great ass, and a healthy rack. (examples attached). The most important thing is, you are enjoying yourself. I can't remember a monger who I would rather hang with, you are truly a class act.

It is another beautiful day in paradise, and there is a reclining chair - poolside that has my name on it but first I want to do my duty to this board and sent out my daily post.
First a word about my hotel and then on to the 42 models at the Remington Palace!
I am staying at the Hotel Naco and Casino it is loacted on Ave. Tiradentes in downtown SD and I strongly reccomend it.
It is not a 5-star hotel likek the Intercontinental or the Jaragua but it is very nice and serves its purpose well!
It has nice sized clean rooms, a generator that has not yet resulted in the Hotel losing power, a small but usable pool, great air-conditioning, a strong box in each room, a restaurant that is open every day from 7am to 11pm, and a casino that is open every day from 4pm - till. It also has ample parking in its lot and is totally guest friendly. The front desk will take a copy of the girls cedula and waive you on, gratis!
It appears that they will permit just about anything in your rooom that you want - incl I suppose farm animals if this is your thing (lol) - and they are all very professional about it.
The girls seem to know how to dress when they leave the casas.

Friday night in paradise!
First off I want to give a shout out to the two members who called Manuel last night while I was in his car. Manuel picked me up at my hotel around 8:30 and headed out for fun and while I was in his car two members on this board called hinm on his cell and set up to meet him for their vacations in the future.
I have to tell you he was absolutely thrilled! He had a smile from ear to ear all night that his new friend "FORD" has "hooked him up" and that he is going to meet many more americans in the future. He can't wait to show you all around and show you what he knows about this city.
We arrived ifo the famous Remington Palace casa de cita of Santo Domingo at 8:50 and were promptly told at the front gate that doors open at 9:00 pm sharp - no exceptions! Manuel and I parked around the corner and I bought us both a couple cups of coffee and we sat and talked politics, the new President, the economy etc.
At 9:00pm we returned and were ushered into the Remington parking lot through a large sliding automatic gate. I counted 12 security gurads as I walked up the walkway and throug a series of metal detectors and checkpoints.
Once inside the only way to describe the "Palace" is that well... it.... well... is a PALACE!! It is an ornate, stylish discoteque type club with a large elegant bar on the left, a dancefloor on the right and dozens of high-polished aluminum/leather chairs circling the main room.
My driver spoke briefly with the manager as we entered and asked how many women were working here tonight and well, Manuel was wrong, he had promised me 42 models in reality the manager told him that tonight I would meet 64 WOMEN!!!! (and I was the very first customer!)

after about a 15 minute drive we turned down a poorly lit street of row houses and past a small house/business that "seemed" to primarily be selling used tires (among other things). we turned into a driveway past a secuirty gurad carrying a wooden chewed up night stick and up to a small cement shack.
once i walked in it was pretty clear that i wasn't in the remington palace anymore(lol). the place was a total dump with paint peeling off the wall, and a small sad looking dog running around the front walkway.

It soon became clear that Casa de Cocos doesn't care if yoyu take the girl for a friggin' week as long as you pay the 2400 pesos up front.
Amazed, I quickly paid the exit fee and squirrelled Lori into the cab.
Back in the room, Lori was alot of fun, she was agreeable to just about anything and sweet. "Fun time" ran from around 11pm to clost to 2:30 in the morning and we konked out as Joey Veras played on my stereo system. She took off at about 6am and I tipped her and promised to see her again.
To be honest, I wouldn't be able to find Casa de Cocos again with a Hagstrom map and a compass but my primary driver Manuel says he too knows where it is and can direct you all.

When when I went to Remingtons this past April, the salida was 2000 pesos. Is it now 3800 pesos? That is almost double what I paid. Could you have misprinted the price maybe? Can you also give us an idea of what your driver costs per night? Also for the guys wondering about the difference in quality between the North coast and S.D. Santo Domingo has far better women, there is no contest. The pics that Fantasy posted are the cream of the North coast and are far from the average girls there, where as in Santo Domingo they are more on average of what you will find.

Going to Boca Chica immediately after Santo Domingo was a big mistake - I would compare it to leaving New York City for maybe Allentown, Pennsylvania. (no contest)
Quanity is definitely in Boca Chica but NO quality, sorry to say.

Ford Love your reports, but I was just at the Remington’s and it was $2000.00
Here is the deal, if you take her out before 12am you pay 2,000 and have to bring her back by 12:00-12:30 or she has to pay "otra salida" 2,000 more.
Now if you take her after 12am then you pay 2,000 and can bring her back in the morning.
Now it seems you paid 2 salidas 3,800 causes you probably took her before 12am. Not that it's not cheap, but at Remington’s sometimes it best to play the wait game.
Some times you lose cause the chica you want is taken early by an other, some times you win cause you can get a 9.5 chica for all night for just $40 US. Very cheap.

Well I'm back in Santo Domingo for another round - and of course I'll be sure to post. I absolutely love this city! There are absolutely gorgeous women with lightly tanned skin, full breasts, light brown or (peroxide) blonde hair and pretty smiles everywhere.
I went down to the Western Union to exchange some of my yankee dollars and I struck up a conversation with one young lady who appeared to work as a cashier at the National Supermercado. Johnnie Walker. If you want the closest place to the Juragua in the day/evenings before midnight. Just walk out the back entrance of the Juragua. Exit the parking lot. . . . .directly behind the juragua is a restaurant called manolo, don't ever eat there BTW.
Walk up the street that ends right at the juargua parking lot. About a block down on the left hand side is 52. Big yellowish orange bldg with a surfboard in one corner of the fence. Korean guy runs it. Not the best place. . . .not the worst. . . but it is the closest.

I haven't seen it posted yet, but JETBLUE airlines began service from New York City to Santo Domingo the first of July 2004.
The fares (each way) are $99 to $134.
Santo Domingo is about 25 miles south of Puerto Plata, and with fares like the above, a taxi to Puerto Plata wouldn't be such a splurge.
There is bus service between Santo Domingo and Puerto Plata, but I don't have details.
JETBLUE is driving the biggies nuts - not that they don't deserve it.

Did you try to schedule a flight out of JFK through Travelocity or Orbitz? The flights are somewhat cheaper but they all leave at 2:00am in the morning!!
Tambien, the prices are $99 to $134 correct but that doesn't include exit tax, airport tax, 9/11 tax etc when all is included the prices are right "neck and neck" with Delta.
Unless something has changed, try to book it see what I mean.

Your a bit off with your 'facts'! Santo Domingo is not 25 miles south of Puerto Plata. It's close to 5 hours away! Thus, a taxi is a bit of a splurge. IMHO, one's better off with a Caribe Tour bus. Only about $5-$6 from Sosua to SD!

Great posts! But I am a bit startled by the high prices some of these places seem to be charging you. When I was in Casa Modelos last Dec., I paid either 2,000 pesos for an all night mutiple pop take out with my hot honey of choice. $ was worth about 42 pesos at the time.

I'm looking for some hotel advice please. Can anyone offer a hotel or two that meet the following:
1. Is chica friendly - without extra costs (assuming I pay the doulbe rate?).
2. If the scene layout allows, is close to hobby and nonpro destinations, yet in a nice or upscale (for SD) neighborhood.
3. Is nice enough to impress or not insult a nonpro, yet not US-like expensive (I'd love to pay DR type prices since I'm in the DR...).
4. Is safe, and has an inroom safe (or lockbox at desk would do if need be).
5. Of course has A/C.
Among non-important item for me are if they speak English or only Spanish, have a breakfast, have lines for calling the US, or have US TV channels.

So I went last night to 52 house due to Fords report about it (Thanks Ford).
I got there after midnight and they were about to close, so when I went in they had to turn back on the music.

On arriving at the airport and with not even spending more than one hour in the country, seeing all these fit looking women around me, (and I’m still in the airport) coming from various destinations around the world. I said YES – I had made the right decision in visiting the Dominican Republic. One girl in particular was wearing this white hipster type trouser, that seem popular here, that would stop traffic in most countries and then was met by some more good looking friends. Anyway thanks are due to the many posters that have contributed to this board, *******, Gpiper, Catire, Nefarous, Travelfox & Ford who have all shared some very useful information that I would suggest if you are a first time visitor to the DR strongly suggest you do as I do and spend a couple of hours going through the old posts because its simply loaded with information – why do people post such stupid questions when you can use the search facility to locate this information?
I am going to break this post into many small parts in order to share the wealth of information that I have gained.
Speaking Spanish
This question frequently come up and ever since I first went to Brazil way back when I think if you want to have more GF experience you should make an effort to learn some of the language. If you have some Italian or Portuguese you should be in a position to pick it up fairly easily. TravelFox gave me a couple of tips on a language course that you can do on-line but I tried this one and found the old fashioned book and CD option more suited to my style, however my Spanish is still poor here.
Crime & Safety
I won’t deny that there is crime here but my rule of thumb is don’t do here anything that you wouldn’t do at home. If you wouldn’t walk around drunk in the dodgy parts of your town at night - then why try it here? I was discussing crime with my friend at dinner a couple of nights ago and they said apart from people coming up and begging for money it is relative safe compared to most other cities but who can tell me which country is 100% safe after dark for a drunkard? Although she did say a week ago a neighbour was mugged whilst jogging for his mobile phone – why does one need to jog with a mobile phone? Unless you happen to e president, prime minister or head of state of a country then please just leave your mobile phone at home to go jogging. You may not feel rich but that gold chain, ring and digital camera makes you look like a millionaire to someone without a bean to their name.
Telephones
I must confess even spending a week in country its worth purchasing sim card and being able to stay in touch, but with my trusted Nokia telephone that has worked in every other country I have visited for some reason it will not work here – its somewhat fucked up here. I therefore had to purchase a new telephone with the idea of selling it on afterwards. I opted for Orange Paquete (pay as you go service) since you can buy the top-up cards very easily. One tip when you activate the telephone get the shop to set it to English instructions – if your Spanish is not too good.
OK so I have arrived in Santo Domingo and first thing first where is the nearest action, obviously I had to do dinner with my friend since she had gone to the trouble of setting me up with one of her good looking friends – but the thing with this is that sex is not guaranteed. Fortunately they are not night owls therefore I was able to get away at a fairly reasonable time. At 10.30 I wanted to start off slowly and wanted a massage so I hopped in a taxi and headed east (I think) I was taken to the Elegant Centre, the moment I walked in through the door, I knew who I wanted, there was a party atmosphere going on and amongst six or seven guys eying up the talent, four of them were either Japanese or Koreans. I saw what I wanted so I went straight into the negotiations, not even bothering to take a seat I was offered. The price I was quoted was 3,500 DOP (U$78), naturally I said it was too expensive (Y Carro!) but the reception girl I was dealing with kept say that is the price, I then asked what I get for the money and was told everything, but I offered 1,500 (U$33) and was told no way. The reception girl then got a piece of paper and wrote down the price of 3,500 DOP but I still kept saying it’s too expensive for one hour. She then decided that somehow if I saw the room I might be persuaded to pay up at that price but despite seeing the room, I still said it was too expensive, after ten minutes we settled on 3,000 (U$67) away from everyone else in the room, but I managed to give her a mix of pesos and dollars and got less than the quoted price 3,000 (U$67). The other Asian guys were still sitting on the couches looking like they were getting a free feel up of the girls trying to drum up business.
The girl I settled with was Estelle a 21 year old mullata with a nice body a solid eight in my books; it was straight down to business and I made small talk with Estelle, how old are you, where do you live, how many people in your family etc? Estelle had a nice tight body; and no kids, I managed to snatch a couple of photos before we got down to business which began with a so so massage. I must say that Estelle was not too experience sexually, so her performance was poor she only gave a CBJ, which surprised me because I was looking for a BBBJ, but she kept say she doesn’t do that. I then got her on top of me and she was a bit stiff, but I managed to persevere, after all I had been looking forward to this for many months. .............Hi Forest, thank you for the kind words. I have got to be honest with you, never tried this one good question. Of all the hotels I checked out The Naco Hotel & Casino had the MOST libreral guest policy. You check in and they take a copy of the girls cedula and away you go! In fact, as I walked the girls out into the lobby early in the morning, the security guard use to greet me with "Buenas Dias Senior, shall I get a taxi for the young lady?" (As I mentioned girls from the casas "know the score" and change their clothes into something very respectable before they leave for your hotel)

Clinton, If your in Sousa in October maybe we could toast are 1st Prestdentes! (Beers).
You do need a tourist card. I flew into the DR from Lima, Peru with an american passport and got one at the SDQ airport when I arrived before going through immigration (this was in may 2004). I think the cost was $10. It will be stamped as you go in and when you are leaving you turn it in to the immigration officer.
This is what I know about it. I do not know the requirements of those that are not americans.

The following day I decided to investigate a few of the other places available and also get an idea on prices; since I had been in town I had used a number of taxi drivers to take me around but whilst I don’t think that any visitor to the DR would require the services of a guide and driver I think a trustworthy driver is premium. I was staying at the Hotel Santo Domingo, definitely not guest friendly but they do have a porn channel on the cable, details of a reliable driver that I found and used are:

OK now slightly adjusted I wanted to check out the day time action so the first place I was taken to was the Monalissa Hotel & Spa, as I arrived three other guys were in front of me choosing from the line up of girls, originally I was only just checking out the venue to check on the prices and quality of girls, but in the line up there was some good quality girls and I decided to go for it - there and then, rather than returning later. So here I was, fourth in the line to choose from these hot girls and I am praying that one of these guys doesn’t pick the girl that caught my eye. What surprises me was that the first two guys, to pick from the line up, for some reason choose what in my opinion was the two most ordinary girls in the group, whilst the third guy who was split between the girl I had spotted and the one next to her and in the end he went for the all around larger bodied girl, this left me open for the girl I wanted, so I just went for it.

It took about ten minutes for me asking about six times before it actually arrived, but the prices I was quoted was 2,300 Pesos (U$52) an hour on site or taken away or 4,000 Pesos (U$90) all night, I made a note of this but this girl kept saying to me why come back when I could have her right now, I said to her: “if I come back later you will have a chance to change into your “nicer” clothes and put some make up on” and with lights dimmed, the alcohol flowing in the customers' system I am sure she would have a chance to get a few customers.

OK guys, I've been here two days and the scene is great. I am sticking mainly to massage parlors.
And some advice: I quickly got to the bottom of the deal with the guides. Here's the deal:
I already had all the information I needed before I got here - thanks to everyone's great posts and reviews. But I'm walking around on my first night having a little problem finding the places, and a guy walks up offering to be my "guide". I say yes, because its night and I figure I'd be safer with him. He walks me over to Spa Michelle and tells me the price is $3500 RD. I say I thought it was cheaper, and he says "no, these are the best girls and they cost more". I pay the outrageous price because I'm horny and its late.
The next day, I have more time and I walk around on my own. This is when I find out the real story. I walk in to Spa Mona Lisa, Casa 52 and Centro Elegante. They all do the same thing. They quote me a price between $3000 and $3500 and ask me who brought me here. I say (in Spanish) "I came here on my own without a guide". They say, "OK, then the price is $1000 RD for masaje sencillo and $1500 RD for full service." THEY CUT THE PRICE IN HALF.
It's that simple guys. If you use a guide you pay at least double. Don't believe what the guides say. Every place I went to and every girl I asked said the same thing. I have been paying between 1000-1700 RD everywhere I go, just because I go there on my own. All it takes is a little patience and a little Spanish speaking skills. In fact, here is what you say: "Vengo solo, sin guia (pronounced 'ghee-ya').
By the way I love the pictures of Pamela. I also had her yesterday in a masaje sencillo for $1000 RD. I agree that she is very sweet and a knockout.
Finally, I'm not knocking the guys who hire guides. Even $3500 is cheaper than the U.S. I am just letting everyone know the real situation. These guides are making a KILLING off us. They make more money than even the girls you are fucking.

Just a couple of points on your post:
On your earlier point on reading the post I went through the whole post for SD and took notes - honestly - to get a rough idea on prices, but if you check the board 3,000 Pesos seems to be a common price for SD or either people are lying about what they are really paying. I am going by the people, far and few between, who actually posted information about what they paid.
It would be useful if you were to share your information on how you got your prices and where it is you go? I imagine that if you were to hang about in the bar until closing then I guess you may get such prices. As I explained that the three guy in front of me, who paid 60U$, in dollars, got the same price as I paid – therefore I didn’t feel that I had been grossly overcharged in that respect.
On learning how to haggle – I have been doing that since I arrived in the DR, as I do in most places I visit, but either these establishments know that the price that people, who don’t post here, will pay, which is why they hold out for the amounts quoted.
But please wait for my continuing posts before passing judgement.

I have read the posts on this forum and as a local I have learned plenty, and maybe there is the problem, as a local (looking like one, driving my own car speaking the langue and lingo (slang)) I may get away with more than a tourist, so I may be wrong in saying you pay to much, because I have that advantage I may get better prices.

The only reason I write these things it’s because my personal experience that even if you are a tourist you can get better prices, why ? Because it’s a buyers market, there is more pootang than men willing to pay right now. These businesses don’t live only on tourist money but local guys as well, as the economy here is getting worse and worse, less local go to these places, so the house wants to make more of the tourists, get my drift. But if you stand on your two feet they will bring the price down, if no just leave and go next door and tell them there you went there cause so and so places charges x and you want to pay y, believe me they will drop the price in order to keep you coming back there.

Apart from the “casas” and massage places, there are “ladies” and places that only local know about, I would post info on these places or “ladies” here but you need to know good Spanish and be referred by a regular client to go or get the lady to send you the chica, but once your in they will be calling you every time they get new girls and will give you great prices.
So as you can see, I apologize but my experience is much different than yours, and I know you can get better pootang at a better price if you just use your time well.

i decided before my evening out to get something to eat in the tgif in acropolis mall, before hitting the town the place was packed but the service was terrible, my medium cooked burger that i had ordered was actually rear and i did have my spanish phase book with me so i know that the waitress understood me, at this time i had already cut it in half and couldn’t really send it back to be cooked a little more, then to add to that the fries were dry, so i decided to persevere as much as i could with it. i was then surprised when i was presented with the bill to find out that something which i had not ordered was on my bill.
then still being in rain season the heaven opened up fifteen minutes before i was due to leave and the downfall of rain which lasted some 35 minutes was something else; the rain was trailing off by the time my taxi driver had arrived to pick me up. but i had planned to check out parque independencia – el conde but the drainage system is somewhat fucked up because some of the roads were impassable on foot, there was water pumping out from out of the drains. this was apart from what appeared to be the rainwater coming from broken drain pipes above the houses in the area onto the pedestrianized area below meaning walking under this would have also drenched you, on top of the foot deep water in parts and the speeding cars trying the best to soak anyone who had so far avoided getting wet, i opted to pass on this night.

Interesting commentaries on prices. I have to say that after spending quite a lot of time in la Republica that what people appear to be willing to pay is grossly over what the girls are actually willing to accept. For example, Spa Michelle charges me RD$1300. You have to make clear you are there on your own, not an AI gringo, you don't have a chulo bringing you to the place and the driver is on your own dime ( best to have your car and driver some distance away). Go there when they pen at 10 or 11 and you can have the joint to yourself and pay less than that. Few girls though.
Watch DR locals come in - they aren't paying US$60 or RD$3000+ - they are paying RD$1000, 1200, 1300 as well.
Mona Lisa like to argue but RD$1500 is tops there as well, you have to lay out to them you are not coming is with a lot of propinas waiting to be paid. The worst thing you can do is use a guide. If you want to go there often learn enough Spanish to get by without having to have a local in on the action. he is getting YOUR money and (luckily) not having sex with you to earn it.
Pisne ( the sign looks like Cisne) tried for US$100 the first time. After a lunch at Jaragua we went back , I laid out we were not idiots,and were on our own, no commissions to be paid to anyone, and lo and behold, the price was RD$1000 for a massage w/ BJ and RD$1400 for full service. The madam said basically hey, tourist gladly pay US$100 since in the US that would be for a skank or 1/2 the cost of a massage parlor visit, but if you make it clear that you won't accept highway robbery then they will negotiate to local prices, mas o menos.
And ys this is in the current peso to US$ 40-50 range not the old days when it was 14-16:1.
And in Boca Chica - if yuo know the talent you can usually pay RD$400-500 for an hour or so or RD$100 for the night and they are happy as clams, more than that you are a mark. Examine on any given night the supply vs. demand (tourists) and see if it is a sellers or buyers market.
As for asking en espanol - not sure what this means since it seems to maybe have Portuguese in it also - "guosto un chupera sim el preservativo"
Try Gustaria una mamada sin un preservativo (or condon) - e.g. I would like a blow job without a condom.
or: Quiero que me chupes sin un preservativo - I want you to suck me without a condom. You have to use the subjunctive for "to suck" (chupar) and the article would be "a" (un) not "the" (el). And sin is without not sim.
You can say Quiero (or gustaria) venir en su boca if you want to say that you want CIM.

Just got back from BC and SD. I'm not very active on any forum, but I would like share a few of my experiences to help others. I would also like to thank everyone who contributes to this forum as it was very helpful to me.
I paid between $2000 and $4500 RD with mixed results. My problem is that I hate negociating everything and early on thought that I would get better service if I paid more - wrong ! Gringos like myself need to be very careful playing this game as you could be in danger if you don't know your way around. For this reason, I hired Manuel (referred by Ford) to take me around the city for site seeing and fun. Yes I paid more and I figured he was getting a kick-back everywhere we went. I trusted him from a security standpoint, but he's looking to make a buck like everyone else. There's definately a VERY big culture shock between the way things happen in the US vs DR. I used another driver when I needed a van and he told me that some bandits tried to hijack him outside of BC the night before and he showed me his bullet casings from his gun that were used to fight them off. This can happen anywhere, but just be very careful when traveling at night, leave flashy stuff at home, and don't carry a lot of cash.
Went to Remington's one night and was disappointed in the talent and the attitudes from some of the chica's. One even tried to quote me $8000 and her friends hustled a beer on my tab. I got out of there fast and I guess I had my sucker shirt on :) Went to another place (didn't catch the name) and found a great spinner for $2300 RD at my hotel. She had darker skin a great body and personality. 8 in looks and 8 in performance.

Thanks for the info - I have read a few posts about Geysha (GeishaParadise) and am looking to give them a try also. Casa Alibi sounds good as well. Is Casa Blanca, the same place as D'Blancas? I read a review on Club H., and he was there about 6 months ago and felt this was a great place with 7's and 8's and the value was outstanding. (1,000-1,500 for ST and 2,300 for TLN) can you give any info on that. Is Elegant Center the same as Club Elegance? Any help would be appreciated - I am down there with a friend or two in Sept. 15th and certainly now will go to Geisha house on that Thursday and spot all those bikinis.

From Europe you have a number of options, from London daily via NYC on American Airlines or from Miama, there are also a number of charters that fly direct from Gatwick.
Other alternative is to fly via Spain or Portugal who have daily flights.

I finally got to check out Alibi on wednesday. Alan is running a great place. Maybe 10 girls with most doable. Nice house, and they treat you well. I didn't partake but a buddy did. He paid our bill and didn't even remember what the price was, but he liked the place a lot. It is on the other side of the bridge.
Geysha is a REALLY nice house. They have a VIP bedroom with a four poster bed with canopy etc. On thursdays you can get in the pool with the girls who all wear bikinis. They could use to have more girls though. The owner said she had 16 2 weeks ago but had 7-8 when I went. My taxi driver said he will put her in touch with a recruiter etc, for more chicas.
I intoduced the idea of stripping to the girls. For a 100 peso tip 5 or 6 of em climbed ontop of the bar, one by one, and got totally naked doing their little dance etc.
Also on wednesday it appeared to be pantys optional day as none of the girls were wearing panties etc.
Elegante is on pasteur 2 doors down from Cisne. I am gonna go there later to talk about installing a WIFI access point for them. I will donate the access point so guys could use their WIFI laptops at the bar. Sure beats using the crappy computers with slow connections at internet cafes etc.
I have not been to D Blanca in a long time. Never had a lot of hot girls. usually average in looks if that. They used to charge just for the room and then you negotiate with the chica.

Day 10 in the DR:
Return to Santo Domingo
Up early for my last final jog on the beach, then breakfast and pack up my stuff getting ready to depart back down to the capital, a short taxi ride to Sosua to the bus terminal, I pay up my 220 Pesos (U$5) for my metro bus ride back to the capital and after a four hour journey, which is actually closer to five hours by the time I arrive at my hotel. In my room I don’t bother to unpack as I am flying out the following morning and quickly change my clothes, shower and head out for a quick bite, nothing fancy mind you, I quickly return and update my notes from the night before. I also stop by to see this chica who works in the Bella Vista Mall where I brought my sim card for my phone; I said we should go out for dinner but she couldn’t make that night and wanted to go on Friday, but that was the day I was leaving for the north coast. She was working but couldn’t make it that night, too much short notice, but she suggests Saturday, unfortunately I will be flying back home then.
Now I have gained additional information on Santo Domingo I wanted to check out the venues that I had previously missed first time around but as I am not a local and don’t know the bus route to get around the city nor do I want hire a car for the night, so I have to recruit a taxi driver, that doesn’t follow me into a venue and jack up the prices I have to pay. I find one driver that agrees to an hourly rate to drive me around, of 500 Pesos, (U$12) although I think the going rate should have been more like 450 Pesos (U$11).
We set off at 10.30pm and the first place he takes me to is La Casa de Las Modelos but as I have already been there I don’t bother going inside because I wanted to find out about new venues, which my driver claims to know; he also disagrees with that fact that taxi drivers getting commission put our rates up. Because he kept insisting that even if I went alone I would still end up with the same rate.
Next venue Remington Palace and Yes, it’s true what people have said about this place, it was filled with lots of beautiful chicas, at something to 11pm I would have counted at least 30 girls of all shades, black, white, mulattos and sizes available, the girls here tended to be in the 19-24 age group. The first thing that strikes you when you enter, is that this is a professional run establishment, OK its also expensive but at least you know what you are getting for your money.
The girls dressed sexily, in short skirts, hipsters, some revealing many tattoos on the butts of many of the chicas. Apart from all the girls there were about eight guys sitting around with different chicas, I take a good look around and I really don’t want to miss out on the other venues, spending only 15 minutes inside, and I speak to one of the girls who quotes me a price of 2,000 Pesos (U$47) on-site, but I am not sure what the take away price was, as I couldn’t understand what she was saying. I leave promising to return soon, as I like the quality of the girls here, my taxi driver who is outside offers to come back and interpret for me, but I pass on that offer and head off to the next venue.
The reason taxis don’t like Remington Palace, as my driver goes onto explain, is because they say the owner has some “alleged” links to criminal or is a criminal involved with drugs or something like that, I don’t know if this is true maybe one of the Dominican regulars can update us on the situation, therefore many of the taxis avoid it, not that this is really a problem to get there or finding a taxi to get back home afterwards as its located near a large casino next door.

We get down the road and about three minutes in a car we arrive at Lapsus Nightclub I get into this venue and it is quiet, very quiet there are about 12- girls that I can see and many wearing full evening type dresses the women here were much older that what you would find in Remington Palace. I would range them in quality from 3-7s and in age, around 26-32 group, because it was fairly dark in there. It reminded me more of a gentleman’s club because a couple of the guys in there were suited up and so were the women, the price I was quoted was 2,000 Pesos, (U$47) only take out but I am not sure what the drink prices were like because I didn’t stay long enough to buy anything – suggest you check the prices before ordering.

Around the corner was another club literally backing onto Lapsus Nightclub called Tavu my first impression is that was definitely a dive, surrounds inside are very very basic, plus quite dark in there however there were a couple of girls in there ranging in quality from 3-7 again, the only difference between this place and Lapsus around the corner is that the girls were sexily dressed wearing mini skirts, hot pants etc. It’s the sort of place worth going for a take out only.
I am not sure what this club was suppose to be whether a strip club or general bar because I didn’t see any of the girls actually dancing in there although I spotted one girl gyrating on some guys lap for all of two minutes.
One or two of the girls were definitely doable, prices I was quoted were once again 2,000 Pesos (U$47) take out, no time was specified. The club had some couches which they called a private room, which is in fact, a darkened corner facing the toilets and on the way to the changing room. Here, I was informed, you can do anything with the girls for 1,400 Pesos (U$33), but if the state of the rest of the club is anything to go by I would suggest you avoid the couches because I would not fancy sitting there and you wouldn’t know what you could find there.
A couple of things put me off the place and one being for such a dingy place, in its surrounds they charged me 100 Pesos (U$2) for a Soda, which OK is cheap by US or European standards but when you consider that other clubs charged much less than that, to be honest I can’t see what it is you are paying for. To give an example Rocky’s Bar & Fun Centro in Sosua this would only have cost me 25-30 Pesos (58-70 cents) in much more pleasant surrounds.
The second turn off is where staff who work there are looking for tips, one guy who opened the door and was telling me about the place, not very much to tell honestly, from the size of the place, then he says to me what no tip for helping me, bizarre indeed???????? Then as I was leaving two other guys who work on the door, just opening it, followed me to the taxi and proceeded to tell me that he had “X” amount of kids and a nice tip would be helpful, my tip would be to use condoms because if you can’t afford to raise kid - don’t have them. Then a second guy also followed him and was also asking for a small tip as well. Neither of them received anything from me, but I find this off-putting, its different if they actually do something for you but honestly three of them for doing what? Say as you will about Sosua being cheap you don’t get too much begging if any at all, whilst at Remington it’s a much more professional run service.
No exact address for Tavu but just around the corner to Lapsus, use the same address as above.
Time is moving on and my final place I visit Monaco on Avenida. G Washington, near Malecon and not too far from Zona Colonial which is about six minutes up from the last place. Well, what can I say this place looked like a real dive, on the outside it looks OK, but on the inside it was a bit of a let down, also stank to high heaven in there like it had been closed for ages and just opened with a damp/AC smell. I was the only customer in there at 11.20pm – so what does this tell you. There were about six girls I could see range in quality from 3-6 and they seemed to age around the 25-30 age group. I spent about five minutes in there asking the prices of the girls, 2,000 Pesos (U$47) and wanted a business card to post the address but they didn’t have one, I can’t think of any specific landmarks to point this out place.
My hour was now up with my taxi driver and I had to decide how I was going to round off my last night on Santo Domingo, obviously my taxi driver is pushing for some more money and naturally I am looking to save paying out too much. So I think back to all of the places I have now been too tonight and which one should I go back too? Hmmmm, where will it be Remingtons filled with beautiful young, chicas? But despite all that I go back to the dive of a place Tavu, why? I had spotted one girl in there with a fit-ish body who looked hot in Tavu and though why not get a take away now. Plus don’t get me wrong here, but these young girls (19-21) are indeed very beautiful and have very fit bodies but in the words of Eddie Murphy – “They don’t know how to fuck yet” I find many of these younger girls treat sex like a sprint instead of a marathon, whereas the older 24-29 year olds relax and take their time and I am after all a marathon man (4-5-6 hours) not a sprinter (9.89 seconds).
I was staying in the Santo Domingo hotel there was no chance that I could take a girl back so I therefore had to try the motel option. The motels are located about ten minutes away, to the west of the capital; the girl I had spotted was called Susan, she was wearing some nice hot pants which is what caught my eye, but had I not drained myself of most of my energy in Caberete these last few days I would have definitely gone for a threesome to round off my final evening in the DR.
So I paid my 2000 Pesos (U$47) and waited for Susan to change, which doesn’t take long. My two doormen once again follow me to the car with their hard luck story and I still don’t tip them because I don’t know what it is I am suppose to be tipping them for. My taxi driver also wants paying on the agreed sum for the trip and I have to negotiate a new deal, to sweeten the deal I throw in the possibility that he can take me to the airport the next morning when I am due to leave. Once we agree to a price we head off to where all the motels are located in an area that has about a dozen of them next to each other.
There is some place that Susan has been to before and she directs the taxi into there, and we roll down the shutter and soon someone comes along for payment. The cost is only 660 Pesos (U$15) and this included something to eat for Susan, which she forgot to ask me about before ordering and a couple of drinks. Overall the price is a cheap if you include the taxi fee so this is a cheap alternative if you cannot take a chica back to your hotel. But I am not sure what the price would be for an all night session or should you be stuck for somewhere to stay.
It’s a very large room, room enough for three if not four people the television has three channels and a porno channel running which I leave on. We get down to business with the BBBJ and then half way through Susan looks up and asks if its enough, I say I would like her to carry on some more then she keeps pushing for me to put on a condom. Still watching the television for inspiration but the porno channel is showing some college girls trying out being a porno model for the first time. I grab a few photos as we go through the sessions and one thing I can say about Dominican girls is providing you take good flattering photos of them you won’t have any problems grabbing photos.
We move onto a couple of multiple positions and as soon as I come Susan is up in the bathroom washing then comes out eating the food and looking to be heading towards the door, after about 90 minutes, I guess that’s the difference between Santo Domingo and the north coast of Sosua & Caberete down in the capital its much more business like.
I am half way with mixed views since I must get up early to catch my flight home, so if I am lucky I might get five hours rest before I have to depart. Overall I have enjoyed my time in the DR it is everything I expected and more. Here it’s not too difficult to get GFE in my opinion my secret that works all of the time, is treat them like a lady; If you cannot get some GFE then your name is definitely Mikster.
Take my advice the Dominican Republic is filled with beautiful women, don’t get too fixated with any of the girls of the photos you see on the site because for every girl here who’s photo you see there are simply 20 or more girls available for every one here.
Finally, my apologies for the length of these posts each one takes me around 3-5 hours to write up, by the time I write, read and re-write it again, but I do it because its all about sharing useful information. Even though I guess some of you would rather just look at the pretty pictures. One thing I would appreciate is when you do post information, please try to stick an addresses with it, as it makes it helpful for us "non locals" to check out some of the new venues.

Great reports, Juniour, but after a tour in both the north coast and the south coast, where is your coast of choice and why? I have not ventured to SD but the prices seem almost like highway robbery compared to the north and I haven't seen a pic posted in the south coast forums that looked better than the top percentile hotties on the north and even the highest priced girls in sosua seem to ask the average price enforced by the establishments in the south. I do understand why the prices are so different (establishments overhead), but is it worth it?

OK I have visited the north coast and the south coast and the one is for me, without a doubt the north coast of the Dominican Republic, Caberete, Sosua etc; I mean I didn’t have a chance to see Boca Chica, this time, but I like the capital of Santo Domingo but as with most capital’s around the world, with the exception of Brazil, prices for mongering tended to be quite expensive. The north is cheaper but you can still find a few diamonds up there, but a couple of places really impressed me in the capital, Remington Palace, Monalissa and Elegant Center, all three had some beautiful women there.
But overall in the DR if you try hard enough you can find action just about anywhere – tell me where else in the world can you go with [CodeWord140] (http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord140) poor language skills (Spanish) and the girls will still give you some chance to date them?

Ok here is the skinny on Remington Palace.
As most you guys know, the Dominican Republic is a country filled with double standards, corrupt politicians and cops.
Out of all the places mentioned in this site Remington Palace is the only one of that size and that may girls (and quality of them) in this country.
Any given night there can be over 60 women there, no lie; those that have been there can back me up.
But the question is why is Remington Palace so big and out there more than the other places?
Well because the owners have lots of backing, money and many officials in there pockets (as a place like that can not be owned by one person).
That is why some taxi drivers don’t like it, they think a raid will happen at any moment and take every one to jail.
Is the place safe, hell yeah, believe me there will never be a raid in that place for a long time. Are the girls clean? Well I know for a fact that a doctor sees the girls every other week, but most of the girls there (98%) live in the back in these small quarters and they can not leave just to leave to shop, not even to buy toilet paper, which they have to buy from the owner (I kid you not). So they have a high chance of giving you a cold.
That is why if I pick a girl from Remington Palace I take no shit from her, not that I don’t treat her nice but she is in better hands with me and sleeping in the motel (or hotel) than going back to bunk with other girls in a hot room.
