Thank you all for the constant flow of information.

After a long time of reading information, i'll try my hand at posting.

I was went to DR for a quick 5 day visit. Was there before the weather got bad (third week of august). It was sunny all the time.

All the hotels mentioned in the posts did not have thursday available. I was more interested in the $30-$50 range appartment hotel.

Also most reception folks spoke spanish, so i had to enlist help of a collegue to ask about availibility.

First night was at Santo Domingo. It was a thursday and I did not have a hotel. But I figured it wouldn't be too big a deal to arrange for a hotel from the airport.

The airport information lady was very cute. I was taking her suggestion on the hotels I had heard about on previous posts. To make it eazy for her to understand the hotel names, I showed her one of the posts that I had printed from this forum.

Man !! when she started reading rest of the page, she had a confused look on her face. BBBJ and full service and things like that probably didn't make sense to her. I literally had to snatch the pages back from her hand to avoid giving away the purpose of my visit.

I am a bit of history buff and wanted to stay in colonial zone. She suggested hotel Aida. Its right on El Conde. The price was $30 for an AC room. Taxi charged me 1100 pesos, i think it was 300 more than what the other posts indicated but i let it go.

The drive along the sea is beautiful. Zona colonial is pretty close to airport, as opposed to rest of the city.

The hotel was nothing compared to what $30 buys in sosua, though no issues with the bringing a girl in. The girl at the counter barely spoke english but i have a feeling she was available too. (I was not interested, she was way too thin).

The good thiing about this hotel was that there was no full time security or anything like that. Instead they gave me three keys. One to my room, one for the main door and third for the iron gate at the street. so after 11, no one will be there to ask questions.

El conde is a good street to just roam around. There was a equal ratio of dark to light skinned women. I was not very gutsy on my first visit and preferred to just watch from a distance. But i did see some westerners solicit any group of girls passing through. None of these girls looked like pros, yet i did not see anyone get offended. Few of them actually stopped and talked to these guys.

After an early dinner, a swiss man pointed me towards Lapsus Bar. I usually prefer walking instead of taxis. But after making a few rounds of Colon Park Independencia, I could not figure out where, Independencia Street was (all clubs are right on this street).

Took a cab, asked him to take me to Monalisa but turned out it was closed on thursday (i think opens only on weekends)

Then we moved on to Remington Palace. Cabbie didn't know the directions so happened to stop at Lapsus just to ask directions. The guard outside spoke very good english. He said the way it works in Lapsus, is to pay 2800 for an all nighter. Doesn't matter when i take the girl. Also from outside the place looked very good. It must have been 10 Pm by that time and as per guard there were 10-15 girls inside. more on their way (40-50 total around midning).

I was tempted to try it but thought of going to the well reviewed remington palace (RP) for the first night. There is no entry fees at RP. The moment i went in i saw a bar to my left, emplty dance floor in front and some tables on my right. It was kind of dark so i choose to go and sit on the right side tables (relatively darker place). No sooner had the captain shown me the table, i saw a crown of women coming my way. In a minute i was sitting on the table with about 20 girls surrounding me. It was an incredible experience. With all possible fake plesentaries thrown at me - I like you, I love you, I like your hair, You very sexy , I go with you ....

For some strange reason, all most all of the girls were more interested in my hair and my beard and very few actually spoke english. I was picking up conversations with all that looked a bit interesting. About 70% girls were light skinned. All were very pretty. I was told the standard rate was 2000 for 2-3 hours. But also that at that hour, 10 pm, i could take the girl for 2000 but she will have to come back by 12:00. It looked like a very raw deal to me.

For an all nighter I was quoted 4000.

I ordered a drink, sat down comfortably and told the captain that i wanted to talk to the girls one at a time. One of the girls spoke fairly good english, i asked her to sit with me. Even she could not keep her hands off my hair, so i had to make a deal with her. I said either pay me 1000 and keep playing with my hair (i didnt care which ones) or let me play with your titties. She laughed it off but i did grab her tities every time she touched my hair. It was lot of fun. She was a good girl, laughed a lot but was interested in doing just till 12:00 for 2000 (it was 10>30 by now)

Also i asked her about anal, that seemed to have put her out. I have never done anal with a pro yet but i generally like the one who agrees to it, without making a fuss. I generally get a good vibe that way.

After a while she left for the rest room and i changed my place, went and sat right next to the dance floor. The place was filling up now. And another girl came and sat next to me. Her name was lissete. A local with dark features and very sweet. I was anyway in mood of tasting some local talent. She talked in broken english but i could understand her well. NOt agressive at all and when i said my cock was not in mood, she stated rubbing it. Boy !! she did it continously for next one hour. I was playing with her tits all the time, no complaints. Anal was ok from her side too.

I told her I wanted all night and that i was enjoying the music. I would think of picking a girl after 12, if i felt like. At around 11:40 Pm she came up with an offer that i could not refuse. She would leave will me at that time till 9 Am for 2000. I took the offer, paid the dues and off we were to my hotel.

I was a bit hungry and so was she, so I took her to the hotel first. Told her that we will walk down for some grub after a blow job. She gave a very enthusuastic blow job (i did not even try bare bone, do not know how all other mongers feel ok with it). Before leaving for dinner, I followed advise posted previously here and presented her a nail polish that i had picked up from wal mart before leaving.

That did make a lot of difference. We ordered the food and she suggested that we take it back to the room. i was all in for it. had sandwich while playing with her titties. She was very slim type. I usually like girls with more meat on them but her attitude was wonderful. Proceeded with very satisfying boning with her on top. I have a feeling that she was having orgasms before i was done. I say that because all of a sudden, she stopped and started hugging me and looked all drained. Then proceeded to make me cum well.

Slept cuddling next to me and i was the one to wake up around 8 Am . Gave me another wonderful covered blow job. The she took a shower and asked me to join her. I was too sleepy and passed the offer, after taking a few pictures of hers. (Still undeveloped, will post soon). She gave me her phone number and left me to complete my sleep.

Got up around 1 AM, dressed up and roamed around the city a bit. Especially went to the ocean side, outside Marriott. Found another hotel at the rear entrance of marriott, called Kazira / Razira or something like that. $45 for night. No problem with girls. And rooms were very nice.( I have the card somewhere, can fish it our if requested)

By now I was aching for the beaches up north so decided to get my luggage from the hotel and take a bus north.

will continue in sosua section next.

Observations:

1. Zona colonial is overrated. I walked all the key spots in under 3 hours. Atleast I would not choose a hotel there, the next time.

Good girls in santo domingo. . . . . .
I just got back from a few weeks in santo domingo. Looks like I finally broke up with my novia for good. I have been pretty darn well behaved and have done very little mongering the last few years, but have a ton of experience in santo domingo etc.

This trip I did monger a bit at remington and mona lisa, but had much more fun with regular girls. I went out with a total of 5 non pros over this trip.

number one was a chica I met online. . . . .not my type and in peson was cute but had some acne and I wasn't really into her. She loved taking pics etc. Nothing nasty. Started fully clothed and she wound up getting into it and doing some "sexy" poses. Nothing really racy and was covered up for the most part, but obviously there were a few peaks etc. I think I could have nailed her but wasn't that into it. She had to be home at 8pm every night and NEVER drinks etc. Just a nice college kid that loves taking pics etc. She also seems to want to try out some "phone sex" as she mentioned rubbing hereself while we were on the phone . . . .etc. Interesting experience.

number 2 is a REALLY good girl. Went out 3 times, no more than a peck on the cheek. Went to her brothers graduation where I met her very relogeous and conservative family etc. Mom was VERY mellow. She said she never even dances. Of course I was the only gringo in the place. . . .LOTS of cute young chicas BTW! By the end of the night MOm dragged ME onto the dance floor to dance merengue and walked me out of the place arm in arm.

This girl is very mellow. Definitely a virgin. Mom called 3 times during our first "date". She has to be home between 12:00 and 1:00 at the latest. Pretty much came out and said she does not believe in sex before marriage etc.

She was definietely warming up to me the more I acted like a gentleman etc. I cold probably sweet talk her etc, but don't want to. There are plenty of girls to get sex from. I enjoyed hanging with her and the last "date" we laughed pretty much the entire night. Had a great time. . .and since she left by 11:00 pm I had plenty of time to go elsewhere ;-)

number 3 waitress at juragua. met her last trip and she would smile at me every time I passed her. Wound up hanging out at the juragua and flirting with her a bit. Didn't ask for her number as I didn't want to get her in trouble etc. Then when I knew I was heading back down, I called a taxi driver buddy of mine and told him to go to the juragua and get her number for me. She was thrilled when I called.

She knows very little about SD as she lives on the outskirts and rarely goes out. We had 3 or 4 miscues in trying to hook up. The last one I was waiting for her at the entrance to the hotel on the malecon and she called and cancelled last minute. I decided I was done even trying.

A few days later I was walking through the hotel and she grabbed me and apologized etc. I said no problem. She wanted to go out that night. I said I had plans but I'd stop by the next day. I didn't stop by for a few days. When I finally did, she was adamant about going out that night.

We went to a nearby bar for a few beers. I asked where she wanted to go next. She said she didn't know. Finally we get in a cab and she muttered a destination to a the driver etc. I didn't hear her. I asked where we were going. She said it was a surprise. She had been very affectionate all night, immediateley pulling her chair right next to mine and cuddling etc. Same thing in the taxi.

Next thing I know, we pull into a cabana! Great surprise. She layed down on the bed, took her bra off from under her tube top, accidentally flashing me for a second. She pulled me into bed and started making out with me. She pulled open my pants and gave me a VERY good BBJ. When I tried to open up her pants she informed me it was her time of the month! We cuddled all night and I got her a taxi in the morning. taxi cost 250 pesos and I gave her 400 pesos to be sure.

I was not sure how "nice" of a girl she was and debated about asking her if she wanted money, but in these cases it is best to assume she is a good girl. Otherwise they can get VERY offended etc.

I figured I would find out next time I saw her at the juragua. Turns out she was VERY happy to see me again and wanted to go out that night. So we did. This time to another bar and then my hotel. Had a great night. . . once again for cab fare.

I am sure I will see her again next trip etc.

number 4 was a 19 year old spinner that looks even younger. Met her a few trips back at a bar she worked at. Gave her my number and she calls once in a while. She wound up calling my taxi guy while I was in town so we went out 3 times. Killer little body. . .really tight. Once again a generous payment for her taxi was all that was required. Definitely a "keeper".

number 5. . . .met soon after arriving in town. My taxi driver took me to a TINY little bar near el conde. 2 cute bar maids, and one older one. The 2 younger ones bothe flirted with me etc. A few days later I was in the area and stopped in. The one girl had gotten fired but one was still there as was the older one. So was my taxi driver. He had a client from miami with him that was hitting on the cuter one, but she kept flirting with me. MY buddy decides to take his now drunk and somewhat rowdy client to his hotel and says that we would all go out after clsoing time.

So at closing time he comes back and we all go out. The cute girl and myself and the older one with my buddy. We went to a hole in the wall "disco". It was PACKED with dominicans and I was the only gringo for miles. Lots of young cute chicas around. We danced and drank etc. Both chicas said I danced better than the taxi driver! That is scary.

After a few hours he drives us all to my little hotel. I have a room of course and he just grabs a key off the wall and takes the older chick to an empty room. He is friends with the hotel staff and can get away with this etc. My girl was like. . . .am I following you? She did of course and we had a great time. VERY GFE. She is also VERY jealous as I would find out. . . .

I spent some time "juggling" these "good girls" while still finding time to do a bit of mongering etc. All in all, the hanging with the regular girls was way more fun. I will not bother posting about the mongering as it was all pretty basic. Remington and Mona lisa. All the girls gave me their digits and one in particular is crazy to hang out. . . .after work. Just might take her up on it.

I also went out with a girl I know that works at a massage place in boca. She seems to have a crush on me even though I have known her for years. I happened to call her and as luck would have it she was in SD and not working in boca that day. She was dying to see me etc.

I told her we had become "buddies" and I didn't want to hang out as one of her "clients" etc. I said we can hang and srink some beers. . . .no sex required. She then wound up insisting on going to a cabana as she was really horny. Had a great experience with her was well. Beyond GFE. The girl seems to be in love with me now. . . . . . ah the problems of life in SD.

I am not sure when I am heading back, but when I do, mongering will be kept to a minimum if at all. I had too much fun with the regular girls even when no sex was involved.

I find that I am more likely to have fond memories of a night out dancing at a new place with regular girl than remembering what I did with who as far as the sex goes. Maybe I am getting old? he he he he. . . . doubt it.

In DR now. Jaragua is no longer chica friendly. Unless you can register girls name when you check in, no go. Personally, my abilities to guess the name of the girl I have not yet met are quite limited so I'm out of luck.

............This is exactly the same "lame"policy at the Hotel Hispaniola on Avenida Independencia. You ask them if the hotel is "guest-friendly" and they say "absolutely, yes."

Then they say its "guest friendly" provided the girl is fully registered the morning before you've even met her!!

These are skills of prognostication that are beyond my ability as well! ;)

Now Ford,

Lets be Honest. I have heard you describe at the Pool in the afternoon, the girl you will have that night. And damned if she is not at breakfast the next morning!

By the way, did you ever get the maids' phone number for me?

Just giving back!

I have been reading post for some time now and am happy to contribute after my recent trip. I have been back from my second trip to the DR since June. I love this country for many reasons. The women, the rum, the blue waters, and the women (worth mentioning twice).

During this expedition I flew into Santo Domingo and flew out of Santiago via Jet Blue. I stayed at El Napolitano $85 per night. It is a nice and basic hotel with a small casino in the lobby. It is located on the malecon and with in walking distance to Mona Lisa.

Mona Lisa has some beautiful women and you sample on premises. I paid 3,000. If this a ridiculous amount I am sorry to the rest of you. There is a central desk when you walk in and the woman there told me 3,000. I do much better negotiating one on one with the chicas but I did it wrong this time. You live you learn. But I must say the expeirence was well worth it. A great massage, bbbj, and great sex.

I will be continuing with my Remington expeirience soon...

I have also been to Boca Chica, Sosua, Caberette, and Santiago.
If any one has any questions feel free to ask.

2000 pesos should do it at Monalisa. I could probably get them down to 1500 but 2,000 is about right. Realize that 3,000 pesos is now close to 100 bucks or more. . . . .I was getting 1500 peso prcie when the peso was at 48-1 etc.

They do have good looking chicas and the pain in the ass manager may be no more.

What up fellows?

I learned a lot from the site so I will past on some tips and information that can help you save some cash with hotels.

My last visit to DR was in early September and I stayed at a new hotel off El Conde. I forgot the name. My first night I picked up a chica and stayed at Cabana for $1000 pesos. Next night I picked up two chicas and had a threesome. I had fun on this trip. The night before I departed, I hit one student at 8PM drove her home and met her parents, then drove to another’s casa in the barrio and knock her off. She had a fat one too.

I will pick up the pace in November.

My 2 cents about hotels in Santo Domingo. This year, I have not paid over $35.00 a night for a hotel in Santo Domingo or up North. If the price is right I usually stay at the Coquimar Hotel on Independencia. There are many chicas waiting for the buses by the Coquimar Hotel. Plus it’s close to the main university.

On Jose Contreras Avenue there are a few hotels. This summer I stayed at Plaza Del Sol Hotel and Nikkolus Hotel on Jose Contreras Avenue for about $32.00 a night. There are many hotels on this avenue and the avenue is within walking distance of four large universities and is still close to Malecon.

My suggestion for hotels is to look in the DR yellow pages online. “Shop around.” The web address is superpagesdr.com. It’s in English and Spanish. Choose your location and type in the word “hotel” in search. Try the aparta hotels some of them have links to their websites are cheaper and come with a kitchenette. Pay one day at a time because DR hotels love dealing in cash. If you don’t enjoy your stay then bounce to the next hotel. If you like the hotel, negotiate the rate for a few dollars less if you will be there for two weeks and more. Tell them you will be back next month. Make them appreciate your patronage. I like to run different chicas in and out my room night and day. I don’t patronize the hotel on George Washington Ave. they are too restrictive, pricey and offer less. There are hotels that charge six dollars a day if you are staying more than thirty days. In 2006, I will be in Santo Domingo for three months. I will take some Spanish lesson at a school close to the university and I will require some extra tutoring from a cute college student.

I am going back in November. I will stay in Santo Domingo for a few days and weekend I will hit Cabarette, Sosua and Puerto Plata. I paying $77.00 to fly to Santo Domingo and back non stop. One more suggestion; build up those frequent flyer miles. They work.
What a country. I wish I knew about DR in the 80’s.

Thanks WSGFORUM. You made an old guy a monger again.

Hi,

This is just a suggestion, so please don't take it the wrong way.

I appreciate the details in your report, but I know from experience that a lot of people find it easier to read a report if the paragraphs are separated by a single blank line.

I know how this happens: You're banging away at the keyboard, putting your thoughts into the report as fast as you can write them. However, if you could hit the return key TWICE at the end of each paragraph, your report would be much easier to read, which would certainly be appreciated by your fellow Forum Members.

Thanks,

Jackson

I headed to SD on 10/20, but with FX being so low I'm thinking maybe I should go to CR. Is there service between DR and CR?

Could someone please give me some advise.

Thanks for your help.

You don't negotiate price at all with the girls at Mona Lisa (aka Monalissa) but you have to do a lot better job than the RD$3000 that they start with , by making it clear you have no taxi, chulo, tigre to pay ( they pay a RD$750 commission) and that while you are not a local DR businessman you still expect to pay what they do, e.g. around RD$1300-1500 pesos, and in theory even less now that the peso has hit the 30-ish range since they were fine with RD$1500 at the 40+ to 1 range not that long ago.

The girls can't set price but will hound for tips sometime, often before you even start.

Are ATMs easy to find in Santo Domingo? Or, should I try and exchange all of my money at the airport?

Thanks

Lot of ATM can be found easy in the city and of course you can change yur money at airport

RearWindow

I wouldn't change all of your money unless you are getting some amazing rate (50+ or better- this is a pipe dream but you never know who you might meet with an offer-caveat emptor). There are plenty of cambios and regular banks that you can change at, and just play the rate, if you are comfortable with that.

I never change much more than 100usd a day when i need money , cause the rate can change dramatically in a day or so.It was a roller coaster when i was there in late sept., but maybe it's quieted down now.

Does anyone know a decent $20-$25 hotel in santo Domingo, and then especially the area: hispaniola, embajador, delta, jaragua or v centenario.

I know hotels of $25 are easily to get in for example boca chica, but now I need to stay in one of these areas because of my potential novia. Last time I was in Santo Domingo I had a hard time finding a hotel of $20-25. I didn't succeed. So, any help is very welcome.

On calle danae there are 3 places. Hotel residencia, at number 62 which is about 1,000 pesos per night. Hotel Danae which is 900 pesos per night, and hotel gran mansion which I have never stayed at so I don't know the price.

If you are doing a longer stay, all of these places will do a monthly rental as well, 13,000 to 15,000 for the month.

Hotel Danae - 809 238 5609

Hotel Residencia - 809 412 7298

Tell them both that the gringo with "la cola" sent you, they might hook you up a bit better than if you just showed up.

at Hotel residencia the taxi driver is Jeremia, great guy and knows a lot of places. He is the one that took me to some car washes etc.

Calle Danae is the same street that Mona Lisa is on, and hotel residencia is right across the street from Mona Lisa.

Within walking distance of calle danae:

Mona Lisa

Princessa

OMI

Neither of these places has any problems with guests. No swimming pools, or restaurants etc, but not bad for the price.

At what places. . . . . . .

Remington is still 2000 pesos

Massage places from 1500 to 2000

Casas like teresa are 2500-3000

Sueno real was advertising specials of sencillo for 600 pesos. Basically a massage and BJ for 600 pesos, they also had a duo for 900, and a full for like 1200. Not a great selection but a good deal. . . . . .

Recent there was a report that Jaragua hotel is no longer guest friendly. It sure was chica friendly 5 month ago when i was there.

I asked that cute lady at front desk how many guest are allowed she said as many as u can handle and smiled.

can anyone confirm that there policy changed? In fact if it did change what will be in the same catagory hotel that is chica friendly?

Right in back of the Jaragua hotel there is like 3 clubs full of chicas right next to each other can anyone give the name of these clubs?

Also whats the name of the massage place with like 20 chicas thats around the corner in miidle of a resident street?

The 2000 pesos at Remington is that for TLN Toda La Noche?

I am not sure, but I believe if you take her out before midnight she will try and get back to Remington for a second shot at a client. After midnight Remington will let them stay till 11:00 am, and they pay a fine after that.

Some girls will try and leave early or say it is only for 2 hours etc. You are always better off negotiating ahead of time.

If you get there about 11:00 - 11:30 you get an idea of who has not been out on a "salida" yet. They tend to be a bit more "desperate" to bag a customer.

The living conditions in remington are less than great so if you pick a girl that seems to genuinely dig you, she would prefer spending the night in a nice hotel room with ac and hot water over sleeping at remington.

The last girl I took out of Remington was my 2nd time with her. The first time she stayed till 4pm, as they had the day off, the last time I basically kicked her out at about 11:30.. . . . .she would have stayed longer.

I like places where one gets to "flirt" and get to know the chica a bit, get a sense for her attitude etc.

Ok, guys

For what it worth I went to DR in July and tour around the massage parlors and bars I also went to Remington Place when they open at 9:00, I look over all the reports and I thought I had to wait until after 12:00 so the girls could stay all night etc.

BUT! I seen a girl I liked and I call her over we talked and she hung me etc. and I got her "laughing " a lot and smiling.

I talked to the the BIG BOSS at the bar and talked a good price out of her (I was told from other reports that a Father and Son team ran the show there) BUT I didn't see them this trip, I worked a good deal with the lady BOSS!!! (this doesn't really matter but she looked gay) I talked to her about baseball and the NYC Yankees.

I told her I like that one over there but don't I have to wait until 12:00am for her to stay a lot night she laugh and said NO!! you can take her out now, I then ask her to tell the girl I wanted her TO STAY ALL NIGHT!! she agree and I brought the girl over to the bar and the BOSS told her to make share you show me a good time etc.

I got the deal down to 2,000 peso, I know some of you are going to HATE this but I gave the BOSS a extra $10.00 (tip).

I left out of there around 9:45pm the girl stayed till 2:00pm the next day.

I normally tip good the 1st two days I am on a mongering trip to certain people after that for the rest of mine trip I AM GIVING VIP TREATMENT!! (seats close up to the front/ NO WAITING FOR TAXI/REFILL ON DRINKS FOR FREE/DISCOUNTS ON GIRLS/ etc. etc.)

So I spend a little up front but get a lot more down the line.

Bottom line there is "NO RULE'S" at Remengtion or really any place the good thing l LIKE about DR is if you talk and treat the people with respect it goes a long ways.

Everywhere I been or go I try to speak some of the langauge and make the owner laugh and tip just a little $$$ and let them know that I will be there a LONG TIME WEEKS ETC. and if they treat me good I will keep going there and I will tell mine other amigos about their place be it good or BAD!

FWIW, those in need of a place to stay near the MP's in Gazcue, e.g. near the Mona Lisa, there is a hotel on top of the Mona Lisa itself, with a staircase into Mona Lisa ( there's convenience) at very reasonable prices for a range of rooms from small to huge and cheaper than you might think, though priced in pesos not US$which is too bad as of late. I looked at 3 of the rooms and would have been happy to stay in any of them. IIRC, the smallest with private bath was under RD$700.

Ptyr2,

Just to confirm the information about the Remington Palace. You are right on the money.

I also enjoy the fact that you chat a girl up at the Remington to see if she is really compatible.

Happy Hunting,

Yep. the girl I hung with is actually VERY jealous. . . .LOL. I have her cel number and will try and hook up with her on her next "vacation" when she heads home to La Vega etc.

Some of the Remington girls are VERY pushy, so I just avoid them.

I'll be in SD on 10/21 staying at the Jaragua. I've been comtemplating going elsewhere because the FX, but WTH, I have sufficient funding for whatever comes along, so If anyone would like to get together for a drink let me know...the first rounds on me.

There was posts before that the Jaragua changed there policy and is no longer chica friendly can anyone confirm if thats correct?

When I was there 5 month ago I asked that young lady at the front desk how many guests I can bring at once she just smiled looked at me and said as much as you can handle.

I am suprised that no one mentioned that right in the back of the
Jaragua there is like 3 clubs next to each other where you can get TLN for like 1000. Does anyone know the names of them?

Sure there are 3 clubs behind the juragua, Aurora, Tabu and Lapsus, if ya count 52 there are 4 places.

Tabu and Lapsus charge more than 1,000 pesos for a salida, I haven't asked in a while but I bet between 1500 and 2000 pesos. Aurora has back rooms that you can do a reservada. . . .for I think 1000 pesos.

The quality of women is hit and miss. . . .mostly miss. Old time SD mongerers used to call tabu and lapsus the "groping bars". You used to walk into Tabu and the chicas would be all over ya, sit in your lap, mutial groping etc. It was a good way to start off the night. Drink some beers, grope some girls, tip tham a few pesos and head out to other places with higher quality.

These places can still be fun but the other Tabu near the embajador is almost always better.

Me. . . .I prefer going out with Juragua waitresses. . . . . .

Hi,

Firstly, let me thank you for your great posts. I have been through the entire DR portion of the site. City by City. You provide great detail which is much appreciated.

But I still have some questions and could really use some answers. The only mongering I have to compare against was my trip to st. maartin last year. I had a FANTASTIC time there that i don;t think can be matched. but I'm going to try :)

I am 99% sure that i will be staying in punta cana b/c that is where my friend has a time share. it looks as if my options if i stay in pc are limited to traveling to bavaro and hiruengo (sp?) which i am not sure if that would be more costly than just staying closer to the action. do you agree?

I am still not sure, after reading everyone's posts, whether this is a smart move since I will be focused on relaxing mostly, but also mongering daily. should i just abandon the all-inclusive deal i have at my buddy's place which will average, with food included, @$90US per day to stay in SD instead? I could really use some help here. I am a single, 32yo male traveling solo (woohoo!). Please help me out by answering my questions below and adding in any advice you have for me. i need your help with this decision which is primarily safety, cost and comfort based.

Bottom line: From a daily $$$ perspective, I am trying to compare option (A): The cost of this all-incl punta cana hotel ($90US per day hwich includes three meals) plus mongering travel (taxi each way to 'meet and greet' girls if I stay in Punta cana) and 'enjoyment costs' (fees, cover charges, etc.) with option (B): Any alternative to Punta Cana you can tell me about where I might find a safe, quality guest friendly hotel (pls. suggest 2-3 hotel names and approx. daily prices) in SD or elsewhere in DR with lower girl 'meet and greet' costs (i.e., not the actual fee, but also transportation and accomodation costs. Are there safe, guest friendly places i could consider WALKING to from a hotel that meets the safe and clean and girl friendly criteria that is also close enough to a beautiful beach? I may be asking for to much, but any help you can provide is really appreciated.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

All the best,

Brett

I have never been to st marten but years ago a guy from st marten emailed me and we hooked up in santo domingo. He had a great time and was returning pretty regularly. I not only showed him monger hangouts but we went to regular places like Fridays when it was on Tiradentes, and Kokomos which is closed now but was right next to fridays.

He also spent time in boca and I ran into him out there on another one of his trips etc. So. . . .if he lived in st maarten and preferred the DR you might enjoy your DR trip more than the st marten one. . . . unless you go to punta cana. Great for a relaxing vacation but not for mongering and it is far away from SD, sousua etc.

I arrived hereTthursday 10/21. Currently I'm staying at the Jaragua. I was told upon check-in that in order to bring in a guest I would have to register her name at that time. Well, that's not possible so I passed. However, when I was being taken to my room(which is in the garden court, with a seperate entrance) the bellman said that this is the official policy of the managemen. He went on to say that since I'm staying in the wing seperate from the main hotel, I can do as I please and not to worry.

Well last night I brought two different chicas to my room and to my delight he was right on. No problema! I'll give a full detailed report later.

Hi,

i need your help with this decision which is primarily safety, cost and comfort based.

You are, simply put, wasting your time to stay in Punta Cana unless you want to nail old, fat German and English white tourists. Go to Boca Chica, or the North Shore but frankly the North Shore IMHO is overpriced.

Safety, schmafety as well, this isn't Zimbabwe.

What hotel is like Black Beards in the Santo Domingo area? Also what clubs have the best girls? Also what places do you recomend economically speaking? i want all the info.

IMHO, everything you are looking for is in Boca Chica. If you are melanoma deficient (like me), you don't need to look for pussy, it will find you. The transportation around town (motoconcho) is cheap, and mostly all of the hotels are cheap (about 1/3 to 1/2 of your Punta Cana all-inclusive) and guest-friendly (except the all inclusives). Some of the places have the chicas right there waiting for you at the hotel bar.

I'm already planning my next trip there. I learned a lot of lessons that will come in handy the next time I go. The chief among these is the word "no". No will get the price of just about anything to come down to what you can fit into your budget. My $45 room came down to $30 real quick. I was negotiating with a chica for a quickie while I was at the hotel desk checking into my room too. I had been on the ground in the DR for less than an hour !

For hotels and daily prices: www.bocachicabeach.net Some of this info is out of date.

Avoid a fake blonde named Marilyn. Took her home last night, with a promise of all holes until sunrise. Not only was that promise dead the moment we left Remington's, but she wanted me to take her out for food at 1:30 am and then pay for her to take a taxi home after that. When I refused, she had a tantrum.

Buyer beware.

Can anyone recommend decent chica friendly hotels that take online bookings in SD, preferably not too far from the Colonial Zone? I plan to spend a night there on my next DR trip in January.

I posted on friday that the Jaragua was unofficially chca friendly, but when I came in with a chica friday night there was a guard at the rear entrance and he would not allow her into the room. He asked us to go to the front desk (after I offered a bribe and he refused)and get permission to enter. When we got to the front desk, it was the same guy who checked me in the day before and told me I had to have the name of the guest then and there.

I was forced to either forget about what I paid for the chica and send her on her way or go find a cabana, so off to a cabana we go...but only after I told the front desk I would be checking out in the morning. So in my view this was a good hotel, however the policy make it not worth the $$$. I'll continue my reports in the Boca Chica thread.

Last night my cab driver Henry took me to a few of his favorite places. I suspect he likes them because he gets a kick back (at my expense), but I do not discourage this as he only charges 400 pesos for an entire night of his service. We searched for girls for a few hours before he took me back to the hotel. He later went back and picked up a chica for me.

Went to a particularly hot bar named Casa Azul. There are about 20 women who work the bar. Many of the girls could have been bathing suit models. Took home a dream babe name Ana: incredible body, BBBJ, DFK, DATY and a few other letters. sex was terrific, although she insisted on leaving at 4 a.m. for a family emergency (I suspect i was being lied to, as the Casa Azul apparantly closes at 4 a.m.). In any case, I recommend Ana for short time only, but I highly recommend both her and the casa. The casa is fantastic. i liked it better than Remington's (less noise), although there are not as many girls. It is a higher end place, however. This is reflected in the price: TLN is 3500-5000 pesos.

Henry, incidentally, was a great cab driver. He specializes in fast talking regular girls for his clients (he had a gorgeous girl charmed for me yesterday afternoon). He told me that all I need to do is point out a girl and he would try and solicit her for me. He says that his success rate is 50%; the next time I am in the DR, I intend to make him prove that he has bragging rights. Henry's English is functional (I speak Spanish), but he understands the business, and is highly recommended for mongering. His cell phone is: 8629132 and his home phone is: 5363047. Keep in mind that you need to dial a "1" before a cell number unless you are calling from a cell phone. I have no idea what you do from out of the country; the area code is 809.

Although the Jaragua area is where I stay and is very dependable for chicas, I like the charm of the Zona Colonial and would like to hang out there some nights and still pick something good up.

Any suggested places? Does this area automatically mean bigger bucks? Good chances with amateurs or not so much?

Thanks in advance!

Forest, can you describe marilyn a bit more? I have a pretty good idea who she might be. The pay for taxi in the morning is usual. No more than 100 pesos if you are in the usual tourist areas like juragua, melia, gazcue etc.

However, if I had already paid for food, and she changed the terms after the deal, I would most likely boot her out as well. That is particularly effective if you are in town for a while. I had one bad experience with a girl from remingtons, when she saw me there several times in the next 3.5 weeks, and she was almost always alone, she would come over and say hello, ask if I wanted a chica for the night. . . . . I would just laugh out loud. . . .

One night she had one guy "on the hook" she had him buy her a drink, and when she went to the bathroom, I politely warned the guy. . . .when she came back he went and sat with some other girls. . . . I got the look of death. . . . .

Some of these girls do not think about long term. They will try and get over on a client for one shot instead of having a steady stable of regulars. Many of the massage places are the same.

MOnths ago I was staying at the little hotel across from Mona Lisa. There were 4 guys from PR there. Older guys that each came 4-5 times per year for 2-3 weeks. One guy has been going there for 23 years and had NEVER been to Mona Lisa, even though it was across the street from their regular hotel. They usually went to Casa Teresa, Modelos and some low end places like Bon Sua etc.

One day we were sitting outside drinking some grandes and one of the PR guys asked me about mona lisa. I took him across the street. We stayed there for a few hours, spent about 2k on beer and drinks, we ordered 2 pizzas in for the girls as well. He had a fun time but was not in the mood for a massage.

So. . . .the next day he takes his 3 friends to Mona Lisa. .. . .2 of them decide they want a massage. . . .they both get quoted $100 each! THe manager at the time was in the rip off the "tourist" mode. What an idiot. These guys EACH spend 50-80 days per year right across the street from her location, and come down mostly for mongering. If they were given the regular price, they would each become regular customers, most likely for a minimum of 10 times each per year. . . .so conservatively speaking. . .they lose 40 "servicios" per year . . . . .every year, to try and make a few extra bucks ONCE.

None of these guys have been, or will be back. Just plain stupid. Fortunately it appears that that particular manager is no longer there.

1) marilyn is about 24, nice tits (with bra on, a bit saggy without). has medium length blond hair, and a cute smile. about 5'6", 130 pounds. would guess is 35, 26, 35. i have a photo which i have not yet downloaded on my computer but i cannot post photo as i did not ask permission (even from a lunatic like marilyn, i will only post with permission. i broke this rule once and regret it). i will email it to anyone who wants to see marilyn.

2) hotel palacio takes internet reservations and is very chica friendly. i paid $84 for a large room with a king-size bed. bringing in two chicas is not a problem, although i have no personal experience in this area (but i saw a guy bringing in his two ladies, and all the front desk people did was smile). only problem is that they do not ask girls to register. in sd, **** girls are common, and i appreciate the registration process as an opportunity to force the girl to prove her age. the jails in the dr are said to be horrendous. was told by my driver that hotel mercure is also very chica friendly, and can also be booked on the web. both the palacio and the mercure are in the zona colonial.

I agree with not posting photos without getting permission. It is a matter of respect. I assume none of us would post a photo of a fellow monger without permission, snd believe the chicas deserve the same respect.

I would like som tips and opinions on threesomes in the DR. I have had a few when visiting Asia but I have felt that the girls were not really in to it. Has anyone of You guys experienced a GOOD threesome in DR?? A PM with phone number/email adress would be highly appreciated. I´m a bit picky with the looks so if You have photos of the ladies that would be great too!

Another question, anal. Does the girls often charge extra for this? How much should I pay for this??

This is my first visit to DR and I will be going in mid january, visiting Santo Domingo, Boca Chica, Samana, Puerto Plata and Sossua. Please PM me with useful information!!

Take care everyone!

One day in December 2003 I was strolling in the Charamico barrio of Sosua and I passed the Hotel John. A beautiful light skinned girl waved to me and as I had nothing to do, I went to her and we talked a little. The caretaker of the hotel joined us. They were very friendly. I wanted to buy some beer and he said he sells Presidente beer. So we drank 2 or three Presidente at 50 Pesos each. The caretaker said to me, that the hotel fare was 200 Pesos. I inspected the rooms and they were quite spacious and really not bad.The price is a bargain. For living I prefer more comfort but for short time the Hotel John is right, especially if you are in Charamico. The girl had a good character and was really interested in me and she looked quite good. She was 22 years old, taller than the average Dominican, slender body but not skinny, beautiful face, nice tits, perfect fair skin.

I got a little involved but I wanted to leave the place, because I was eventually searching for a dark skinned girl. I saw that the girl was disappointed but she tried to dissimulate it and she don't changed her attitude at the worse. It was about 7 p.m. and the night was still young. As I was leaving, a very black girl with bad hair (pelo malo) walked nearby and I got horny.I didn't knew if that girl was in the trade, I hesitated to contact her directly and I asked the light skinned one that I liked that black girl (la negra me gusta). She immediately realized that was into black girls and that I was horny (arrapado) and she was glad to talk to the other girl and that I found her very pretty. We drank another 2 beers alltogether and I found out that the black girl was not a pro but surely had had a lot of sexual experiencies with the barrio boys. As I wished the light skinned girl made the arrangements with the black girl for a threesome with me. At the beginning she was reluctant but at the end she agreed. The caretaker convinced her finally. The said her that the white man was sarching for a black girlfriend (el blanco esta buscando una novia negra). We went to the room and we took of the clothes. The black body was a blast for me.I lost all retention breathing like a fool.I started to kiss and lick and touch that body. The white girl acted in a strange way. In the DR I made the experience that the light skinned and the mulatto girls(indias) don't like if a white man dates a black girl espacially with bad hair and African features.

For the last two years I have focused all my efforts in Colombia and Panama City. Prior to that I spent a great deal of time in Santo,Domingo,Boca Chica and la Romanna. I know the Capital quite well.

I'm totally familliar with the Mona Lisa,Pisne,Elegante,Remmingtons,Manolo's, Spa Michelle, etc. BUT there is a place there not to far from the Fiesta Dominicana Hotel, called Casa Alondra. Its a two story house in a good neighborhood towards to north of the city. Well away from the action near Mona Lisa ,etal.

Its still open (I called there today) and in my opinion is a well run, well stocked establishment. Before the re-evaluation of the Peso, I believe the total price was in the neighborhood of 35 - 50 USD. This was for full service., It all depended on the gal. The place is extremely clean and run by a Guy(Roberto) and his Wife/Novia?
The gals are slightly less quality than the Mona Lisa but on Par with Spa Michelle. It is really worth a try.

Keep in mind I haven't been there in two years, and things change. I pass this information on, since I haven't read any reports from my fellow mongers on this place. I've been there a dozen or so times and I have only seen Dominican Businessman there. The Telephone Number is 809 541 4024. I don't have the address, be that you can get when you call. It opens around noon. Hopefully you'll be very surprised.I think you'll find it a welcome change from the most popular "tourist" attractions.

Ok guys I read the board faithfully everyday. I am a Dr regular but have not been since april. From what I have been reading I need some clarity.

One what are the prices for girls right now? Is it what it always was the 1500 to 2500 pesos? Or have the prices shot up to 2000 to 3500 pesos?

Two, I have tons of free hotel nights. I am assuming the Jaruagua is too hit or miss as far as being monger friendly. So here is my question. When it opened the Marriott Courtyard was friendly. Does that still hold true? If not I can always stay ay the Intercontinental (priority club) for free. The only problem with it is sometimes they charge you $20 per girl. Personally I can not wait until the new Hilton opens in the first quarter 2005.

Three, I have always been a fan of all the Casa's and bars. But I have seen comments about the Colonial Zone. Where are the girls in the Colonial Zone?

I posted some information on this place a week or so ago, but I don't see it listed anywhere.

It's a Great Place. I have never read about it anywhere and I haven't been there in a while. But its still in business and worth a shot. It's north of the Malecon. It's not very far from the Fiesta Dominicana Hotel, maybe ten minutes by cab. It's a private two story home, extremely clean, clean, the quality of the gals is comprable to Spa Michelle and the pricing was attractive. They have a bar and the beer and drinks were reasonable. They open around noon.I have been there a dozen or so times and have only seen Dominican Businessmen there. It's not a well know tourist hangout. The Owner's are Flor & Roberto, I think Man & Wife/Novia.

The address is: Km.8 1/2 Autopista,Calle Principal No.6,Res.Gala. The Telephone number is (809) 541 4024.

Why a website - there are more than you can count - all cost similar amounts (RD$300 and up) and if you take a car or taxi to San Isidro and the old highway between Boca Chica and San isidro there is a street with about 20 of them one next to the other. On the autopista between the airport and Boca Chica there are another 3 or 4 and in Boca Chica at the eastern highway ramp is one as well.

Marketer,

Regarding your question about 3-somes in the DR. Absolutely. I have had many many of them over the past 5 years and rarely had a complaint. Dominican girls just aren't shy or repressed in any way - I have never had 2 girls say no and I love the chemistry of a 3-way if it is good and the 2 girls are having fun. It sounds like it is getting a bit expensive down there since I was there last - esp. in SD - but there is no better feeling than having 2 cuties and paying $50 or so in total. My best experience was about 4 yrs back in Boca when I brought 4 girls back and played oral Russian Roullete with them with the winner getting a nice tip.

I would have agreed with you re: Asian until my last couple trips - it used to be very hard to find 2 girls willing to go together and when you did one would often stay in the bathroom till it was her turn - just not worth it - but the mentality of the girls seems to be changing at least in Thailand where I have had some of the best 3-somes in my life over the past two years - and I never get girls saying no anymore - in fact often the opposite as they ask if a friend can come along. And there is nothing like having two small giggling Thai girls in bed with you.

These days though in both places the girls tend to insist on switching condoms when you shift from girl to girl which I can't blame them for - but that takes away lots of possibilities unless you have an endless supply of them and can put them on a lot faster than I do!

Is the DR a place where you can have a true girlfriend, or is it only for mongering? I was thinking of going to Cali, Colombia as I read that the malls have a lot of non pros who are really friendly but I like the looks of the DR ladies. Anyone have some good experience with the locals and how can I find them in a sea of pros?

I have had MANY good experiences in regular clubs. Most important - learn Spanish! Learn it well, practice it often. Second, learn the basics of Merengue and Bachata dance. These are the traditional/essential dances of the island, both are easy to learn and important to know in a social setting/club scene. Third, dress neat, present yourself with some style -Dominicanos do, you should too. Finally, if you're a gringo, be a gringo -don't run from it, don't try to present yourself as something your not.

Follow this advice and as long as your not 70 years old you'll need to carry "Dominicana repellent" to keep the women away from you! (If you do happen to be 70 years old - bring money!;) )

Can anyone provide me with the address?

It is in Gazcue on Danae a block over from Pasteur and about three or four blocks up from the Malecon. Take a taxi but go past it, get out and walk back or the driver will get a commission and your negotiating power in Monalissa will go down.

Mona Lisa is located at calle danae #35. If walking up from independencia, it will be near the end of the street where it intersects calle santiago, on the right hand side. They own the entire building which includes a small hotel, clothing boutique, hair salon and of course the MP. Once they added the hotel they added a sign that says hotel mona lisa.

It is across the street from Hotel La residencia and you will most likely see a very large bald dominican security guy sitting outside.

Are you fluent in Spanish and halfway good looking? If so you can find a GF in the DR like you should be able to find one at home (and thus not need to go there). There are lots of hotel clerks, waitresses, bank clerks, etc., ripe for the picking if you can talk to them. You may spend more time at this than monger girls but you can always do both.

I had a GF for several years in the DR and other than the usual moochery when we were in the hotel together she didn't ask for P4P.

I am currently dating two girls in Managua with real jobs and so forth - one I met online and one I met while buying a bottle of rum. I wound up dating them both on the same night and with the help of my driver, I pulled it off.

Prtyr2,

I will be staying at the Palacio in the old district (i believe?) Are the places that you list near it? In Rio and Sao Paulo, there is a pretty safe and reliable subway- can I get around Santo Domingo without getting mugged? Can I get to the places you listed via public transportation? How about a reliable source (newspaper, website, magazine) that has all the monger places listed with phone numbers, addresses, prices? Do I need a reliable map?

This is about something that happened to me on a trip to Santo Domingo last May, it's something that bothered me at the time, and I realise that this forum would be the sort of place I could get some truthful information, sorry if it's a bit off topic but as many mongers indulge in other vices when they travel it might be helpful for some other people here.

I was staying at the Jaragua casino and being fed up with the same girls hitting on me I decided to check out the Melia next door. As I entered I was approached by a hostess who offered me a free $10 bet on the Keno table which is situated to the right as you come in the door. This game consists of drawing balls from a drum in order to win prizes, you win prizes ultimately by accumulating points, you must place a stake to draw each ball and whilst the potential prize pot increases so does your stake for each ball. Forgive me if I do not go into the details of the game, it would take a while to explain and anyway I hope that the information I am looking for will be provided by someone already familiar with the game.

Anyway my situation was that initially I started off well accumulating alot of points, but then I slacked off and was paying out alot of money and not getting the points. By this time the potential pot was $175 000 but each new ball was costing me $2 000, I was 7 points short of the winning margin when I got a ball worth 6 points, leaving me only one point short of winning, but remember this winning ball was the first winner in the previous ten draws and all the time my stake money was getting bigger and bigger. I hope I'm making myself clear here because it can sound a bit complicated trying to explain.

Well a couple of factors came into play now, the absolute key was that I was betting using my credit card, which at this point was getting damn near the max, and if it all went wrong I could find myself stuck in a godforsaken island in the middle of nowhere with no access to cash. But what was really bothering me was the idea that the whole thing was a scam and I was the patsy. It all seemed so easy; I get suckered in with a free bet, I start off well, but soon I'm incurring big debts and the only way to get out is to plough on. When I could have finally scooped the pot I find myself cruelly short of only one point so I must go on. I just got a feeling that I was being taken for a fool.

The guy in charge of the table was a very personable American chap, and I couldn't make up my mind whether he was the real deal or a master con artist. He said that I could leave the table as it was for 24 hours to think about it and when I came back the house would continue the game, it all seemed so convenient. I asked him straight what he would do, he said that he could not advise me but if he were in my situation a loaded gun to his head wouldn't stop him playing on, not after I had gone so far. Well obviously he would say that wouldn't he, but then he again he had a point, I had laid out so much money why stop now?

My question is this, assuming that the Melia is an upfront honest operation and the draw is not fixed, though I wasn't entirely convinced on that issue at the time (I think for the sake of argument we accept that they run a clean operation), was the dealer right? Should I have continued to the end? Or should I have done what every teaching since childhood told me - cut your losses, don't throw good money after bad, a fool and his money is soon parted - and quit?

It is not something that caused me a great deal of pain but I would love to know from more experienced gamblers what the score is on this game.

The immigration officials are the ones who take and stamp your passport and tourist card. After the luggage area are customs officials who have been known (say, 99.9% of the time) to ask for money.

I avoid them totally , thus getting rid of the threat and the hassle. Stand your ground, don't let on you speak Spanish (and from what I read here that won't be a challenge for seemingly all of people who are going there) and ask for a receipt to turn over to your governmet for tax reasons. That one always makes them change their tune.

Lapsus:

Decent girls all asking like 2300 to 2600 TLN never took out a girl from there and wondering how they are ... The girls dont stay over at night there they may give you their phone number (watching the boss should not see) where you may get them cheaper.

Aurora:

The girls sit outside so when you pass by you see them never saw any attractive girls there..The owner quote me 900 TLN.

Bar at the Juragua:

Usually slow and 4000 for 2 hours

Bar venezia right next to the Napolitano:

Not sure would like info on it

Remington:

Big selection, set price of 2000 TLN not taking advantge of gringos etc. girls are mostly GFE

Modelos:
Can someone provide info on them?

TERESA:

Very good looking girls BUT a total rip off got quoted 8900 for TLN and i told them i keep on coming to the capittal they will have repeat buissnes they went to 8500 (what a joke) went once again and they asked for 7500 ..Stay away if you want your moneys worth...

AZUL:

Small selection when I was there also overpriced.

I have a few questions:

1) My driver took me with his little english to the "poor area" (in his words) of SD there is many clubs there with tons of girls and i have seen some very nice ones did not take anything ..any idea price, saftey ?

2) Alos does anyonne know if there is a place that you can pick up a girl during the day for TLN in SD and what would be the price for them?

3) Can you take the girls of the Massage parlors like mona lisa, michele out for TLN, and what would be the price?

4) I was told that at the university if you come with a car and a few beers girls would just hop in not P4P how true is that can anyone confirm? Also i would love to get a nice girl for the weekend to an all inclusive not p4p just for fun dance food yada yada can anyone recomand whats the best wayto go about it?

To All,

I am currently in SD, staying at Hotel Palacio in Zona Colonial. I have been getting around by using a taxi driver/guide. I have been here since Sunday night, right now it's Wednesday night and he has taken me to Casa Azul, Mona Lisa and Casa Michelle (I think it is the same as Spa Michelle).

If any mongers are in town and want to hit some places please PM me. This guide that I am using is steering me to certain places and I think I am paying a premium. Casa Azul (2,500 for 3 hours at my hotel but the girl left after only 1 hour) Mona Lisa (2,500 for FS massage <1.5 hours) and Casa Michelle (3,000 for 1hour FS) Am I overpaying? I would like to hang with someone who knows the ropes.

Things seem a little slow this week in SD. Most of the houses I've been trawling have fewer than usual chicas, and almost no customers. Unforunately, two of my favorite spots have gone way downhill. Since being sold to a "new American", Alibi sucks now. It's like a f'ing military camp and extremely customer hostile (and way fewer girls). Spa Michelle is getting run down and dirty, and the quality of girls has dropped significantly. I think this is because Michelle herself had decided to quit the business a while back, but then changed her mind, and now doesn't have her whole heart in it.

"52" looks much better since a movie was shot there, and apparently the film co. did a free makeover for them. But still rather dead and only 6 girls when I stopped by 2 nites ago. Best looking crew of girls still at Mona Lisa, but the rush to get you in and out turns me off a bit. Walked into Elegante Center, got quoted 3500, and walked right out again.

But one big plus: after walking out of EC, I saw 2 doors up that Cisne had a new neon sign so I stopped by, and found out the reason the place had gotten so run down in my last few trips was that they were closing. They closed about a month ago, and now are re-openned by the former owner of Alibi - an American who has a decent crew of girls working there (about 15 to 20) and had significantly cleaned he place up. One problem is that there is a crew of touts out front who try to claim that everyne who walks in the door is their customer. I originally got quoted 2500, but I overheard one of the touts trying to claim having brought me in, and I explained to the owner he ran up behind me and I had nothing to do with him, and got the price to 2000. higher than some other places, but not too bad. Girl I was with had a totally baning body and decent face (she said she was at mona Lisa till last week). A few more I saw that I want to try, so I'll be back there at least once more before I head home. I had some brief discussion with the guy about extended out of house play with the girls and he was talking figures in the 10,000 range for the weekend. Sounded reasonable to me, what do you guys think?

I tend to avoid the "casas" "salons" etc.but am familiar. The girls are just trying to get a 100 to 120 dollar equivalent. If they are quality and you like em I say go for it. I wouldnt do it though. those establishments are all business. Try to bag a chic who either just started otr doesnt really want to be working there. They do exist. You just have to find them. Set up a date with her outside of working hours . You'll probably save 1000-500 pesos. Worse case scenario . Just go to Henry's and get a chick for about 800-1200 pesos. They Dont look as good but I have gotten a few stunners from there. They have rooms on the premisice. I've never used em though. I know a guy who has and he didnt have any complaints.

Hi Ford,

Yes I too don't want to continue an off topic post, but I think when we indulge in one vice it is not unusual to indulge in another, and information can help us all avoid nightmares.

My losses were well into four figures, I'm too embarassed to say more. However I think it was a cheap lesson, I had recently been getting too fond of casinos and thinking I was a bit of a big shot, this cured me for life. I welcome the chance to help friends here avoid a similar misfortune and to benefit from my painful experience.

Happy Christmas all.

Walked into Elegante Center, got quoted 3500, and walked right out again.I am sorry to hear that! :(

I had a good time at Cisne and Elegante Center when I was there in March 2004. I should have returned when I was touring SD MPs and WHs in August 2004; instead, I went Casa Azul and Michelle's. :(

The girls at Spa Michelle were hospitable (6's and 7's), but not worth the RD$2,000 price tag (the place was empty).

Later, I took a cab to Casa Azul for RD$100 and it was even worse :(. 3 minutes after I selected this short, big-titted, blonde bombshell from La Vega (8), she proceeds to take a phone call on her cellular. The girl was on the phone for at least 10 minutes, and took no notice of me, even as I got up and left.

I haven't been to a MP/WH since.

When I return to Boca Chica in 12 days, the hope was to at least visit Cisne and Elegante Center in SD, but after your report, why bother.

I may check out one WH in the capital while I am in the Rep. Dom, but I am not getting my hopes up. The owner is really cool, but the last time I was there, all she had were 4's and 5's (seriously, but w/ better attitudes).

You would think with these MPs/WHs going out of business that someone would price closer to cost (of the service).

Prices should be posted and reflect actual costs (talent + 30% - 50%), NOT "talent + 200% - 300%." It's no wonder why the DR was left out of, CAFTA (Central American Free Trade Agreement); nobody wants to do business with these people. It makes more sense for the American leisure and entertainment industry to wait out Castro's reign than to invest a dime in the DR (ok, ok... I guess I'm ranting now....).

All I am saying is that in the current P4P scene (severe price discrimination, imperfect information, and greedy businessmen), you're going to end up with 2 types of customers, those that pay RD$3,000 and those that pay RD$300. If you're paying RD$300 things are good :) and if you are paying RD$3,000 you soon find better substitutes (Brazil, Thailand).

This was my first trip to the D.R. and I am flying solo so pardon my mistakes. I first hooked up with a taxi / tourist guide who was obviously making a commission off of me but since I did not know my way around SD I let him take me to a few places. I kept on asking him to take me one night to Remington Palace but he kept on telling me the girls were ugly. After ho-hum trips to Casa Azul, Mona Lisa and Casa Michelle I ditched him and took a regular taxi to Remington Thursday Night. (BTW, I thought Mona Lisa was the best out of the forementioned three places)

I really liked the Remington, sort of reminded me of Bomboa in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Of course, the chicas swarmed around me as soon as I walked in. I was not too crazy about this, in the Brazilian clubs and termas (spas) they let you relax a bit before putting on their sales pitch.

Even though I picked my girl, I took my time before taking her back to my hotel. I kept what I have read on the boards in mind . . . if you take your girl out after midnight you have a better chance of less money and TLN. I have been there the past two nights, one night I got a cute spinner who gave excellent service and the other I picked up a cute one who turned out to have horrible stretch marks and sagging tits after the clothes came off (echh!) Both girls I paid $RD2,000 to Remington to take them out for under three hours. They told me for three hours and up (til the next morning, I guess) that I have to pay the house $RD4,000. In both instances, the girls left after a hour and a half to two hours. They both asked for tip money and cab money. I gave them $RD800 and $RD300 respectively.

How did I do? Did I get scammed? I am interested to know if my experience is within the ballpark and how it would compare if I went to another place. Keep in mind that the current rate is $US100=$RD2800. $RD2900 if you exchanged at the local cambio.

[QUOTE=I kept on asking him to take me one night to Remington Palace but he kept on telling me the girls were ugly.

Almotu[/QUOTE]Yeah, he told you the girls were "ugly" because he wanted to take you ONLY where he would get his COMMISSION, which he does at the other places you mentioned and where he took you quite readily without a fuss. The cab driver's you meet in SD tell you a lot of things about the chicas and the game, but eventually you pick up on the fact that it's usually SELF-SERVING rather than true!

On my first trip to SD, I would hook up with these cab drivers every night and get taken around to the "casas de citas". The driver would come in with me, I'd buy him a beer and we'd hang around for a while scoping out the place and seeing if there was a girl I was interested in. Buddies, right? Buddies, hell no! He was just picking up his evening commissions for delivering me, another fresh monger, to the establishments where he had a deal for a few hundred pesos extra.

What annoys me now is that I remember how we'd be driving to one of the cab driver's places and I'd see a HOT chica obviously working the street corner. I'd say, "Stop! Yo quiero hablar con ella!" He wouldn't stop. Instead, he's say something like, "Oh no. You shouldn't play with those girls. They all have AIDS. Very dangerous!" Of course, being a newbie, I'd listen to him and believe that all the street girls have AIDS. And I'd avoid them! Truth was---he wanted to deliver me as quickly as he could to his commission. And as a result, I missed out on some good pussy, just standing around, hot and soft, and as easy to pick up as low-hanging fruit.

Another familiar theme the cab drivers harped on was the DANGER lurking on every street corner. "Oh senor, it's very dangerous here in SD. DON'T WALK AROUND!" And this wasn't on deep into Duarte, but on the Malecon (the main drag on the water) or in the Zona Colonial, both which I later walked on all the time at night without any sense of impending danger and with no negative experiences. Of course, the cab driver's message was, "Take my cab instead of finding your way on your own!" They made it sound like they were sincerely concerned for your safety and "welfare"---but what they were really more concerned about was their "fare" and how fast your money could be transferred to their pocket. While there are barrios in SD, off the beaten track, that surely might be dangerous for a single American guy strolling around---my point is that with a bit of good common sense and the usual vigilant state of sober awareness, walking around the central tourist districts ain't so dangerous! It's good excercise and much cheaper and less trouble than negotiating relentlessly with the crafty cab drivers of SD.

Finally, after taking you to the usual places for chicas, collecting his commision from the casa, overcharging for the ride itself (200 pesos for a 5-10 minute ride?) which was the result of an extended, tiring negotiation and then drinking the the beer or two you've bought him---he starts screaming for more money, a so-called tip, when you arrive at the hotel with your chica. You're standing there with your chica wanting to pay the bill and get on with your business and he's screaming and whining and sometimes following you to the hotel door demanding more money for a variety of dumb reasons.

Real Life in SD for the monger nubie!

I learned quickly: Take the cabs only when you have to. Agree on a price beforehand. Clearly state NO TIP before the ride. If going to a casa, ask them to wait outside---or not---for the return trip. Their choice. There's usually another cab or motoconcho available for a ride back to the hotel, depending on which makes most sense. No cab driver inside the casa gives you a slightly better negotiating position for the chica. Once you learn the cab price to a location, always try to get a bit better from the next guy. There are plenty of drivers around and if you turn a few down, the right one usually shows up.

If you don't care about being taken by cab drivers for $5-10 USD one way or another, just forget about everything I've said and go with the flow.

Only MHO,

Almotu. . . .you paid too much. After 12:00 the remington girls can stay till 11:00 am if they want to. I always suggest taking a girl that really lies you rather than one that is hot but will be all business.

Last time I was with a RP chica I had to actually kick her out at 11:00 as I had a friend coming over at noon. She did not want to leave.

Taxi form almost anywhere in the city to RP is 100 pesos. If you gave 300 pesos, OK she got a bit of a tip. 800 pesos. . . . no way! Especially if they only stayed an hour and a half or so.

Remington no longer pays commisions to the taxis, which is a good thing. Hence taxi drivers will try and take you where they still get commisions.

When were you down there? I flew home on the 13th I would have shown ya around if we were there at the same time!

BTW. . ..Bombao is pretty darn cool. Haven't been to SP in 3 years. I miss it.

Prtyr2,

Thanks for your comments. But what do you do in the middle of the night when there are few (to none) gyspy cabs and get quoted a $RD200 minimum for the ride? I'd rather get back to my hotel safe and sound than try to bargain down $3.50.

As for RP, should I confirm with the Matire'D about when the chica needs to get back to the club before taking out the chica?

I just missed you. I arrived Sunday night on 12/12. I will be here until Christmas.

My general impression of SD is that it is more expensive (food and lodging) and less easy to hobby than Sao Paulo or Rio. The cheap airfare from NY was a big reason why I decided to try the DR. But I think I give it all back with the higher cost for meals and a decent hotel. I stayed 6 days at the Hotel Palacio and I am now staying at the Courtyard Marriott.

I am pretty turned off by the kickback scheme of the taxi drivers especially when it makes me having to pay more for the chicas. I will probably try Sousa next year some time but for my money I will try to get to Brazil at least three times next year.

I have been getting around by using a taxi driver/guide.

Mona Lisa (2,500 for FS massage <1.5 hours) and Casa Michelle (3,000 for 1hour FS) Am I overpaying? I would like to hang with someone who knows the ropes.

Almotu

The first sentence is why you wrote the second sentence. You should pay around RD$1300 to RD$1500 and the gross overpayments are the taxi driver's RD$700-1000 commission and generally getting ripped off by these places. Can you negotiate in Spanish? That helps.

If you think I am understating the real price wait for a Dominican businessman (or any obvious latino) and watch them pay RD$1000.

Please remember this is an experience of a newbie. In Brazil, I am sure the cab drivers get some money from the clubs and termas for bringing in customers but for the club to add this charge to a customers bill is unheard of, there.

I have read about the trick of having a taxi driver let you out a block near the MP and then walking to avoid overpaying but I have not gotten a chance to try this yet. In your opinion, where should I go during daylight hours. I think the talent at Mona Liisa is better than Spa Michelle right now (at least on the days that I went)
I heard from one of the Remington Palace girls that it will be closing for Christmas on 12/23 and won't reopen until 12/28. I fly out on 12/25, what are my options (night time) for 12/23 and 12/24?

Any help appreciated,

Yes, the kickbakc scheme is a bad one. It is bad for the customer, bad for the business. The only person it is good for is the taxi or the tout. I am hard at work on a website that will help minimize the need for touts and guides etc.

If you are at the courtyard, just have the taxi drop you off at a central location in gazcue. Say hermanos villar. From that corner you can walk to many establishments.

Cabs do charge more at night. When I made my comments about taxis, it was in response to the money you gave RP women for taxis etc. Don't let them play you.

Speaking to the Maitre D at RP may work but it is best to choose a chica that really likes you. Living conditions in RP are less than great so many times the girl will prefer sleeping in a nice hotel. Many however leave their clients early and then party with their friends at De Noche. I saw maybe 8 RP chicas there one night.

http://dominicanchicas.com/coppermine/displayimage.php?album=lastup&cat=0&pos=0

That link is a map I am working on of the Gazcue area of SD. You can walk to all of those places from hermanos villar.

Prtyr2,

Nice work on the map, I think it will be useful for a lot of us. Is this only for daytime places? Did not see any marking for Remington Palace or Casa Azul or Casa de Modelos. Where is Hermanos Villar?

I have read luke warm to straight up bad reviews of Cisne, Elegante, etc. What casa would you recommend here? I am guessing that these are all MPs that offer FS with rooms on premises?

I have been paying $RD200 consistently at night from my hotel on Maximo Gomez to Remington. I would prefer to pay $RD300 for R/T but sometimes I am in there for more than a couple of hours so if the taxi waited the whole time then $RD400 is worth it. I left with a chica the other night from RP at 1am and the only taxi available charged me $RD300 O/W! A total rip but there was nothing I wanted to do that late at night. I think the driver was hitting on the chica as well, I was about to get into it with the thug.

The large amount of money that I was giving the girls included their tip.
So the tip was about from $6.67 to $16.67.

Still learning the ropes,

I read that Prtyr2 said that Remington doesn't pay taxi drivers anymore I don't thing this is correct. I talked to my friend that drives a taxi in Santo Domingo and he said that Remington still does pay them. I do know that when I was their in Sept. Remington did pay the taxi drivers. Maybe Prtyr2 can check again to make sure it has changed. All of the info Prtyr2 has been given to us is so good. I have been in Santo Domingo about 8 times and he is right on. I will be in Santo Domingo on the 3rd of Jan. I only hope the peso goes back up some by then. Have a good New Year.

Zous,

I don't know if the taxi drivers are getting their kickbacks from RP or not. I don't really care if RP doesn't pass me the buck, you know what I mean. I have been to RP 4 nights in the last two weeks and the salida for a chica has remained $RD2000. Some girls try to up sell me and say that for $RD4000 they stay as long as I wanted (TLN til next morning, I guess) I never took the bait. The chicas on average stayed about 2 hours (ST). Last night, the chica cuddled with me and napped until 7 in the morning but then rushed off ranting about being late. She was really sweet but I did not get morning sex which was disappointing.

As for the exchange rate, I had been here since Dec 13th and the highest I got was $1=RD$29.30 (in a cambio on El Conde / Zona Colonial) and the lowest is RD$28.00 which I am getting from the front desk at the Courtyard Marriott on Maximo Gomez. I would worry about some fractional change in the exchange rate in the next month or so.

Many taxi drivers have told me Remington no longer pays commisions. I do know that 2 years ago, RP was the first place any taxi would suggest. Now they all suggest Modelos and Pablitos.

Almotu, that map is just of the gazcue area, and the only night time places are Tabu, Lapsus and Aurora. I will be adding more info and maps very soon.
If you are at the courtyard 100 pesos to RP. Have the front desk call taxi Lino 687 3333. They are a radio company with set rates. The taxi driver does not make up their own price. At RP you can give a bartender that number and ask him to call them for you. The cabs waiting outside Remington will charge more.

Tipping is fine, but realize that RP gives the girls half of the 2000 pesos. If you tip 800, and the girl only stayed 2 hours or less. . . . . . .not worth that tip, in fact tipping is not necessary at all. Cab fare is all. As I said 100 pesos back to remington. I have given 200-300 for taxi fare but NOT after the girl leaving after 1.5 hours.

You'll learn the ropes. It is not about the few dollars, it is about the taxi drivers or girls thinking you are a "target" etc.

If I was still down there, I'd offer to show you around.

Hermanos Villar is on the corner of independencia and pasteur. Easy walking to many places. Cisney has a new owner, elegante has some new girls and even 52 has some new ones. One in particular is tall, pretty and used to work at elegante.

Do you speak spanish? If so try spa geysha paradise ana josefa puello #39 328 5648

Most of the places are hit or miss, for christmas time, thinsg will be slow as with many casas the girls head home. You can try Modelos, Azul, Teresa and even Jazzys the strip club.

Almotu, if you want to try a "bargain" that may have some hidden jewels, try sueno real. They have specials on mon tues and wed . . . .600 pesos for a sencillo. Basically massage and BJ for 600 pesos. Usually the quality is not great but they get lucky once in a while. Last time I was there there was one cute girl and one japanese girl. . . .may be worth 600 pesos!

Prtyr2,

I speak basic high school spanish. So far, the chicas that I have been with all complimented me on my spanish (don't know if they are lying or not though)

Thanks for all your tips concerning the MPs and taxis, I appreciate it. After tonight, RP closes for Christmas and will reopen 12/28. I did get a phone number from the cute chica last night so I will hopefully hook up with her on Thursday and Friday if the MPs turn out to be a bust.

I am gonna use your map right now. Wish me luck.

Smile1974,

I visited Elegant Center (Calle Pasteur, #17 - side street of the Hotel Intercontinental) for the first time today. Lots of touts on the street trying to get me to go into the other places. There were about 15 chicas there when I got there at 4:30pm. They were all doable and about 8 of them stunners - various sizes, complexion and attitude. I got quoted $RD3000 for 1hr15mins. I lowered it to $RD2500 without batting an eye. I am sure I could have holded out for $RD2000 because there were few customers but I was so horny for the chica I picked that I went for it. The chicas were friendly and laid back without a lot of sales pressure, I like and recommend.

On the same street is Spa Cisne (#21) and another casa open but still under construction (#23 or 25) One tout handed me a card for Spa Estefani and pointed to the unmarked door of the casa still under construction. Maybe the same owners.

Enjoy,

Grand Pollo. . .. the taxi drivers I am talking about are friends. They know that I know more places in Santo Domingo than they do. It also doesn't matter to me if they get kickbakcs as RP always charges 2,000 pesos regardless. They have no reason to lie but as with most things in SDQ, things change.

It could be that they stopped for a while and started again, or vice versa. I also notice that unlike 2 years ago, if I just grab a taxi off the street. . . . .they NEVER mention RP any more. Modelos and Pablitos.

Amotu, it could be that spa stefani is moving. I don't know for sure. For now Estefani is very close to Mona Lisa and Michelle. I think they are on their 3rd owner now. The first guy was a Dominican that lived stateside for a while. Then there was a spanish guy that took over. He used to have a place not very far from the Acropolis. That didn't last long either.

The place by the Acropolis was weird. The girls would enter the sala one by one. Do a walkby and a turn around so you can check out the goods and then all hang out in the kitchen. The owner would then want you to pick one.

I prefer just hanging out and flirting and if I feel a chemistry will think about picking one.

Also Casa Princessa which was owned by a guy from Boston has closed down. Apparently the neighbors gave him a hard time etc.

Cisne is now owned by an american guy that also owned Alibi at one point. You should check them out. He had cute babes when he had Alibi. I am not sure if they followed him to Cisne.

"2500 pesos for an 1hr15mins.?" Isn't that about $100.00 U.S. now? Last March it was 1500 pesos and about 40 bucks. What has happened to D.R.? The price has more than doubled in less than a year?? Why leave home? For $150 bucks I can get the same thing in the states and not have to buy a plane ticket or take off work to do it.

After I came back they closed the place. Sucks.

Elegante alwasy quotes high prices. They are very close to the Intercontinental Hotel and the first place many tourists find. One day there wa sa gringo sitting at their bar. He asked how much for the girl to come to his hotel. They said 7,500 pesos. Crazy.

I think the places that are well known amongst tourists can try and gouge prices. Unfortunately in many cases they have the nicest looking talent.

I think onece more mongers start visiting places that are a bit more off the beaten path, those places can attract more stunners etc.

There are 2 types of gringos that visit these places. The guy that is in town on business or for vacation and only finds out about the MPs and casas from touts and taxis. These guys are easy marks for paying inflated prices The other type is the "monger" that does some research or has made a few trips all ready and knows the deal.

The taxia and "guide" commision system is a bad one. It is not good for the customers, not good for the business in the long term, only good for the "guides".

I plan to do my best to change that business model as much as I can.

Sociopata. . .yeah that place near the acropolis was cool, but I prefer sitting and mingling with all the chicas. I choose on personality not just by looks.

I think many of these businesses in the DR are set up for the Dominican clients, and don't realize that different people like different approaches.

I have seen Dominican guys walk in, the girls line up, he picks one. Then he pays the bill, goes to the room and is gone an hour later.

Soemof these places need "training" or "consulting" services. One time in Spa Geisha Paradise I was speaking to the owner, and she was telling me all the things that make Geisha unique. She mentioned having a shower upstairs in the bar and you could tip a chica to get naked and take a shower. Sort of tame, but different.

I told her that I was there the week before and a buddy of mine asked the bartender about the exact same thing. He wanted to pay 500 pesos for a chick to get in the shower. The owner was pissed! She marched upstairs and sat the chicas down and explained that they get to keep any tips and guys are more likely to stick around or get massages if the girls do a little show.

The girls looked at me like they were mad. I jumped in and said we had a great time. My buddy went back 2 days later and got a massage. The girls would dance around the poll, with onevery cute one wearing no panties and "accidentally" flashing us from time to time.

I explained to the girls that in the US, guys pay money just for lap dances etc. That if they danced or flirted more, they would get more business. I was sure they didn't understand.

But. . . . .a week later I returned. Same 6-7 girls and one dominican customer. The bartender put on some sexy music and the cute panty less chica started danicng very sexy. She literally looked like she forgot people were watching. They turned down the lights. She got really into it, started rubbing herself. Lifter her skirt. Then laid on the florr writhing around. Finally the skirt came off, and she stood up. The dominican guy called her over and untied her top. Now she was daning totally naked, and she looked horny as hell. So did some of the other girls

When the music stopped, it was like she woke up. She looked over at me, and covered her face. She said "i'm embarassed" in spanish. I gave her 200 pesos which at the time was like 4 dollars.

The very next time I was in the place. They put on music, and she climbed up on the bar. Dancing and stripping totally naked. I gave her 100 pesos. Then the next girl got up and did the same thing. Each and every girl did the same thing, it was cool. 2 bucks each time a cute girl dances naked in my face? Sign me up!

I was living with a novia at the time and never mongered as I was happy with what I had. Once I broke up with the novia, I immediately went back to geisha to find the gril that never wore panties!!

Unfortunately she wasn't there and there was a whole new bunch of girls. I guess I will have to train them as well.........

The MPs make more money on drinks in some cases, so a more proactive approach would be better. The places where the girls line up and if you don't pick one immediately, go back to sitting on the couches or sleeping. . . . .need to learn how to "market" better.

The one time I was at the place near the acropolis, the girls did a runway walk, then stoof behind the kitchen counter. I was in the mood to check it out so I had an 18 year old with killer body sit down with me. It is very rare for me to do that. . . .

One of the trickiest things for newbie mongers in santo domingo is locating all the Casas and MPs. I have created a map of the gazcue area of SD, and also list the address and phone numbers of each place. A guy could walk to 8-10 places all within the same area.

Also many of the places are unmarked with no signs etc, so I set up a photo gallery to posy pics of the exteriors of the Massage Places. That way mongers can see what the place they will be looking for looks like.

I've only posted pics of 4 of the places so far, but am trying to get back down to take more pics and gather more info. I think having all the contact and location info for casas in Santo Domingo will help.

http://www.dominicanchicas.com/pages/sd-gazcue-massage.html

I have also started listing massage places in the western part of santo domingo and the eastern part as well. There is also a list of night clubs, casas and strip clubs. All those lists will be updated regularly and added to during my next trip.

If any members here have pics of casas or MPs in the DR, or know of any establishments not yet listed, PM me the info and I will get it up there ASAP.
