Does anybody know something about

LAS TERRENAS ???

Is it worth to go for a few days to Las Terrenas?

Nacho

I was there earlier this year. Las Terrenas is a small town, with a somewhat cruddy beach. However 500 m (that's metres) to the west, Playa Bonita is just that. It is a narrow, with tan sand, but goes on for at least a couple of km, around a point and then a bay. Shallow water, with surf at one end and then calm as calm can be on the other side of the bay. Not too many people were on the beach when I was there, it is secluded for some reason, so if you are alone prepare to be a little bored.

there might be nightlife in the town, it certainly is big enough, with several small restaurants and discos. I never went there at night though so I can't help you there.

Hi there,

I am planning a trip to Samana / Las Terrenas this winter and would like to know if the none AI Hotels all accept girls staying in my room or if there are certain Hotels recommended in the LT and Playa Bonita area.

Bahia Principe Hotel and Resort. About 30 minutes from Sosua and 10 minutes before the Golf Course, Player Grande.

I will look into this town one of these days, for sure!

Hello all. My next trip in March I am flying into Santiago and I will be staying there a few days. I also have to go to San Jose de las matas for a few days, which is a large city about 20 minutes southwest of Santiago. Any info on moderate guest friendly hotels or any other information regarding chicas would be very helpful in that city. If possible I will also try to stay in Sosua one night to see first hand how that compares to BC and SD.

New report from Rio San Juan

Checked in at playa grande resort. Played golf in the day time. Wanted some company for the night. With the help of one of the workers there made some connection. We had a rental car. He arranged a girl to meet me at the gas station. When me and my friend went there there were 8 girls to choose from. Picked two girls about 5-6 in looks. Took them to bahia principe casino and disco. The agreed price was $70 all night

After some gambling and lots of dancing they were real GFE. Took them back to the resort and here comes the problem. They would not let them in unless we paid full all inclusive price of $75 per day. we decided it is not worth it. The girls suggested some short time hotels for 300 pesos. Since we were not sure about the hygiene of these places we passed on that. So ultimately we dropped them home. They were real nice and did not ask us for any money. They gave us their phone numbers and asked us to call them next day and said they had a real good time with us. We did not call them. So generally there are girls available in rio san juan problem may be how to get them into the hotel. Also another contact told me that sometimes the girls will take you to their home if they are living alone or with another girlfriend.

EDITOR's NOTE: This report was reformatted to remove extraneous indents and word wraps.

Hey Sammon,

In December I was in Rio San Juan with my chica and if I'm remembering correctly we stopped in a clothing store called Tienda de Rodriguez, its just before the puente on the right side near a frijoles stand and a cantina.

While my chica spent $$, I went on a little reconnaissance mission. Found out that on weekend nights they set up a "ready-made" chicas bar right across the street with a few plastic chairs and unfold a Presidente banner. Wasn't able to check it out though personally. My reasonably good Spanish was of course essential in towns like Rio San Juan.

Sammon, you also hit on the "curse" of the DR - the inflexible all-inclusive hotels. You are very correct if your vacation involves meeting girls, your hotel choice is critical!

Las Galeras, Samana Peninsula

Had a blast staying in this small town at the tip of Samana for a few days last September. Only a small town with one disco but the chicas are available and nowhere near as hardcore as the more popular tourist spots. Very laid back, locals are friendly (no hustlers) with beautiful countryside and beaches.

The picture is of a chica I hooked up with for a few days, took her to the beach at El Rincon, bought us a great BBQ fish dinner, she was very appreciative!

Chick Feeder,

Ay Caramba, your chica has some sweet body!! The picture of la playa in Samana looks exactly like the caribbean that people dream about - no crowding, no panhandlers, no ladrones.

I heard Samana is beautiful - I think I need to put it on my list to visit. Thanks for the pics. :)

How does one get from POP/Sosua to Samana? It looks like there is a Caribe Bus at Sosua at 7:30 AM. Is this correct? How long does the bus take?

Hey DFB,

Yeah, you just hit on the problem. In December I stayed in Cabarete/Sosua and, as I usually do, rented a car for my trip. My novia's family lives in the Town of Sanchez, which if you look on a map in right next to Samana out on the eastern tip.

One very early morning around 6am we left Sosua and embarked on one of the absolute worst/most hazardous 3 hour trips I ever took in my life. The roads are dillapidated with pot holes so large you could lose a farm animal in one. After 3 hours of driving we visited her family and were supposed to then go to Samana for overnight, but I (remembering that drive) said "no mas" let's go back.

On the 3 hour trip back my novia remarked that she is enjoying the trip because I don't drive "recklessly fast" like the bus drivers do. She said on her last trip the bus took about 1 hour and 15 minutes for the trip each way. I said, " 1 hour and 15 minutes, you've got to be kidding!!!!" I asked if the buses ever have had accidents, and she said "Yeah, bad ones!"

Now if I took 3 hours, and believe me, I was going at absolutely what I considered to be the fastest you would want to go on that stretch of road when you take into account the unsafe road conditions - "There is no friggin' way you are getting me on one of those buses!!"

Supposedly, the local airport is being re-worked so they can accept international flights sometime soon - but when that will happen is hard to say. The construction crews are on "Dominican time" ;)

Cheers,

Driving to Samana:

My experience, driving from POP down to Samana was actually enjoyable, I really don't know what all the fuss is about. $25 a day gets you well to be honest a fairly worn out Toyota saloon from the airport and you are on your way. Sure the roads are not first world standard (I've seen far worse however)and the locals road skills can be erratic but if you are prepared for this and more importantly, take your time, then it is a great drive. Away from the main population centres of Sosua/Rio San Juan/Nagua, there is very little traffic, and past Nagua and on through Samana, the scenery is stunning. windows down, some loud Merengue/Bachata on the CD player and you can forget all your worries!

Rio San Juan:

I stopped here to dive with Gri Gri Divers, stayed at the Bahia Blanca hotel, nice location right on the seafront though the place is a little tired looking and could do with a lick of paint. There is plenty of action to be found here. It was early evening and I asked a moto where to find chicas, he dropped me off at a small bar on the main highway 5 that goes through RSJ. About 3 chicas behind a bar serving, young and quite cute, had a beer but moved on. There is a disco located on the corner of the main intersection of Highway 5 and the road that leads into the rest of RSJ. It was still early when I pitched up so had a couple of beers, the chicas started turning up and I got chatting to one who within 10 minutes was eager to come back to the hotel with me but I was still keen on doing a bit more exploring so said maybe later. As I left, I got chatting to a local guy and he took me to another small bar, I bought him a beer and we talked a bit about the local scene. I ended up taking a chica back from here, short time around 700 pesos.

Although I didn't check it out, near the lagoon, the road gets closed off in the evening and there are a couple of bars with loud music and a lot of locals hanging out partying, looked like a lot of fun.

There are some ex-pats who live nearby, I ate in a restaurant run by a Frenchman but I did not see any other tourists in this town although I was only there 24 hours. I guess they are all cooped up in the nearby AIs, as a result, the good thing is that I found the locals very friendly and easy to talk to, no hassle whatsoever and some even spoke English.

Rio San Juan, is definitely a fun place to spend a couple of days.

My novia who has resided on the north coast for all of her 26 years and has made the trip dozens of times (always by bus) said that the drivers make the trip scary and dangerous by driving recklessly fast. She said that there have numberous bus accidents on this stretch of road, many unreported. This is the fuss.

San Pedro de Macoris

Does anyone have any info on this place? Is it worth a return trip?

I pulled into this "lovely" town on Monday morning at around 8:30 am saw the church, the seawall and the poorly paved and unkept streets. I asked about "action" and I seemed to get a series of reactions from unsure to those pointing me back to Boca Chica. It was Boca Chica that I was happy to leave.

I am certainly not suggesting that I know anything about this place as I was only here for about three hours, stopped in a few colmados and spoke with a few motoconcho drivers.

It may have potential but I didn't come up with anything promising and returned to the capital.

Anyone know any more? I'd be interested.

We (Vak, Mav, The Beast and myself) got to the airport at 5:30am and our Jet Blue took off on time and we landed in Santiago. We waited 2.5 hours to get our car then headed off to the city of Santiago. I was going to hire a taxi to check out the hotel but the first taxis wanted 1,000 then I found another guy for 500. All the taxis wanted 2,000 to go to Sosua from there. We checked into El Matu, which is now rundown but $35 a night. Exchanged money at the airport and got 46.50, not bad!

We walked around the University and saw many many hot chicas there and a few talked to us. There were tons off people there in the afternoon.

Hotel Camp David
We came here for dinner, which was very good and I looked at the newer rooms which are very nice. We may stay here at the end of the trip.

We hung by the Monument area at this really hopping bar called Ahi Bar. Tons of Ladies from Santiago. Its 2 minutes from Hotel Matim.

Friday night at the clubs
We hit Passions, which was packed at 2am when we got there.
We started with Illusions, where there were about 25-30 chicas at 11:40, then went over to Casa Blanca which had about 20 chicas. Many of the chicas wanted 4,500 for the night but Vak got one for 3,000 pesos.
Vak was plastered, found 5 chicas, yes 5 that would come back to the hotel for 5 hours for $500. I asked if he was CRAZY and he thought about it and passed!
We hired a taxi for three hours for 5oo pesos.

This will be updated every so often with details added!

Saturday July 3, 2004
We checked into The Hotel Gran Jimenoa in Jarabocoa and its only $30 per nght. A family of chicas checked in and one of them was 24 and will meet up with Vak later. We swam and ate. This internet is fur of chicas and the rate here is 15 pesos per hour.

Sunday July 4, 2004

We arrived in Sosua and I checked into The Europa because The Palace was full. I met Andy and The famous Don Thomas and later on I met Magnum. It seems we are all staying at the The Europa next to each other.

I stopped by Passions Massage, picked a 22 year old shortie and got a 1,000 peso massage with BJ. They have a selection of 4-5 here most days.

I usually stop by The Palace where there are 10 or more chicas there everyday because the place is Full!!! One Ocean Place is Full as well!!! Europa is partially shut down because of power problems but they are Full as well!!! Sosua ' s chica friendlies are SOLD OUT!!!!

We went to Mountainview at night where Vak got a chica for 3,000 pesos plus 300 and then we went to Long Beach where Don Thomas found a nice chica for 1,500 pesos. Vak did a show and we took a 100 pictures.

Monday July 5, 2005

Started my day at Rockies with Mav and breakfast and Scott is here.

More hanging at The Palace and I met Dominican Ray finally!

I stopped by Passions for my second Massage, picked the same 22 year old shortie and got a 1,000 peso massage with BJ again!.

We took a ride past Caberete to Sol Caribe and found a nice little bar there with 8 chicas. They charge 1,500 for the entire night and 2 of the chicas were very pretty! Its about 15 minutes past Caberete, sort of hard to find unless taken there.

We had a get together at El Botin where 19 of us showed up for dinner and drinks. It was nice

Tuesday July 6, 2005

Started my day at Rockies with coffee and Nomad is here with his wife.
Mav has just showed up and then my novia. This is a central meeting place.

I headed toward the beach and there were many mongers at The Shark Bar where I hung for about an hour.

I went back to Passions with Strangeluck and we waited. They had 4 chicas working there. We were hanging at The Palace as well where there were about 8 chicas and a few new monger arrivals. No pictures, why because they have novios now!

Well another night so Vak and I hit Puerto Plata, first Crystals where we got this hot chica for 4,000 pesos to do a show. We looked at Mountainview and long Beach (One chica wanted 1,300 but no show) as well, but nothing we wanted.
We hit D Classico where we found the second half of this act and she wanted 2,000 so back to Vaks we went. It was lovely, I shot 110 pictures, soon to be posted!

The peso was 46.15 at Judys.

Wednesday July 7, 2005

Its another day at Rockies with Mav.

I can definitely recommend Barahona and San Juan de la Maguana. When I was there I was the only tourist around. And that's what I'm looking for when i'm travelling. Relative easy here to get local girls as a girlfriend, although some of them might be very catholic. I don't know about the pro scene here. Also prices are a lot cheaper than the tourist towns. Here I got an excellent hotel Maguana in San Juan for $500 pesos, or around US$ 10. In the tourist towns you get nothing for that amount. Also the people were very friendly here, compared to the agressiveness of the tourist towns. I went three weeks to the Dominican Republic, and my best week I spent in these towns. San Juan has the most beautiful landscape around which I have seen in the Dominican Republic with rice fields, mountains, plantations, lakes, parques. Also there are some excellent discos with some very hot dancing. Definetely worth the visit !!!. Both cities are around 2 hours by Caribe bus from Santo Domingo.

RE: San Pedro de Macoris (called San Pedro)

I was there this Spring. (Also Juan Dolio , a total write off, and Guyacanes, still a disaster area 6 years after Hurricane George).

It is two things - one a residential sugar town (the biggest plant is as you come in from Boca Chica) and two, the bedroom town for all the girls that go to Boca Chica. So it offers little since all the girls are in Boca Chica.

One 1/2 ways decent "resort" ( last resort, really) is Hotel Macorix near the Malecon -used to cater to a lot of Cubans and still does the locals down on the heels from our perspective but up on their heels vs. teh houses they live in within SP.

The Malecon has a bunch of shacks with beer and food and about 8,000 Dominicans playing 8,000 different bachata songs on 8,000 ghetto blasters and car steros. Unfortunately if you were to stay at the Hotel Macorix, the malecon , and the din, are across the street from each other.

Although there is a university in SP, it has little action and a LOT of foreign tourists , especially US medical students that couldn't make it into US medical schools. SP DOES have a McDonalds and a very large baseball stadium.

There is the biggest Cabana I have ever seen near Barrio Mexico - it must have more than 60 rooms. This is for family kids still at home, and cheating spouses though, not any girls nearby to take in. Some of the barrios (Mexico is one) are very dangerous at night ( and in the daytime it was no picnic either). The local prison is nicknamed "Mexico" since there are so many prisoners from barrio Mexico, so that is a bit of a heads up who lives around there.

It is NOT worth the drive to go to.

San Juan de la Maguana

Just returned from a day/night in San Juan. Stayed at Hotel Maguana which is in the center of town. Room rate was $35 U S for a two bedroom suite. It was very clean and nice. Seemed very empty. I think that we were the only two traveling Americans there.

We were referred to a great restaurant by the desk clerk. Three of us had and exceptional meal with wine for under $50 US. After dinner we sought out a bar and bingo there were woman. There were ladies everywhere and my buddy found a freebie, if you call buying drinks free. Her friend was too young for me so I passed. Next morning we finished our business and drove back to Santo Domingo.

The drive was so scenic. Reminded me alot of Hawaii. The mountains were straight up and beautiful. Took 3 1/2 hours each way. Gave me a whole new prospective of the country. All of small towns we drove thru had street vendors attempting to stop you and selling the local goods. Very interesting, live crabs, cashews, fish, cookies, bread and the list goes on. Well worth a trip.

Just returned from traveling in Dominican republic. I visited Puerto Plata, Sosua, Santa Domingo, Boca Chica and Las Terrenas. The place go if one like a quality holiday here is Las Terrenas. Prices are high for food by dominican standards but the food is great. Most hotels are run by frenchmen and the feeling of the village is mix of France in the Carribeans and Dominican Republic. I stayed at Tropic Banana which was very nice. The hotel was not really girl friendly. I had to argue with the guards about 10 minutes to bring in chicas and my neighbours was complaining that our noice kept their baby awake and scared during night (made me feel really bad).

The girls I met at the disco Nuevo Mundo was not very hardcore. One 21 y.o. bought me a beer and after that we took a motoconcho to my hotel for a full night of pleasure in all holes and the cost for this was 50 pesos for motoconcho. Another 29 y.o. got 800 pesos for short time but her 6 ft 2 tall body was perfect and she was very nice.

The other dancing and drinking places are all within a few 100 meters from Nuevo mundo almost by the junction between the main road and the beach road down by the beach. I found it nice to walk between the different places during night for checking in where the most interestingn people where.

The downside with the village is the transport to get there. I took a taxi from Puerto Plata and paid 90 USD for that. The other options from Puerto Plata are various minibuses which is quite slow and some flights. Connections from Santa Domingo with the Carbibe tours bus is OK. Jump off in Sanchez and take some tranport over the hill to get there.

I know this is a board about hookers......BUT if you guys also like nature and you are in february/March in samana you can watch WHALES (I mean the real large animales that swim in the ocean) mating and dolphins at close range from a boat.
Don't forget to rub in your ears with sunmilk (the sun at the open sea is devastating) and bring enough film or storage on your digicam!!!!! The site of these beasts is awsome.
When i was in Samana back in 2002 I fucked up twice....I forgot to rub in my ears and didn't bring a camera:-( Fuck me.

One last piece of advise: don't eat too much before you go on board on one of the boats to watch the whales;-)

btw there are running several bus companies or minivans from and to Samana. For a few bucks you're set.

have fun

Johan.

SAN PEDRO DE MACORIS

A plane with around 300 tourists and one sex predator on board landed in Punta Cana airport in the afternoon, the tourists got into their coaches to head for their all-inclusive hotels and the sex predator walked out of the airport to catch the bus for Higuey.

When I arrived in Higuey I changed buses and took another going to SD but I got off in San Pedro de Macoris as I had decided to do a one-night stopover in this town to check it out.

I asked around and ended up at the hotel El Play, where I booked a suite for 800 pesos. The check-in process was quite straightforward: I asked them if they were GF, they said yes, I gave them 800 pesos and they handed me the key, they didn’t even ask me my name. El Play was a shit hole but good enough for my purposes, and the bed in the suite was round and huge.

Late in the evening I hired a motoconcho to take me round the bars where I could find girls and we first stopped at one called Casa Amarilla. There were around 10 girls, most of them unappealing and hardcore but one was a good-looker with a great bum, I spoke to her briefly and she seemed a bit cold and distant so I moved on – I’d rather fuck a mediocrity with good attitude than a good-looking cold fish.

We then hit Casa Fela, where I found 3-4 ageing dogs and a beautiful 20 yo girl. I bought a beer for the beautiful chick and started negotiations, she asked me how much I offered and I replied 800 pesos for 2 hours, she accepted straightaway so I guess I should have offered a lower amount. There was also a 200 pesos salida.

When the chick took her clothes off I noticed her body wasn’t as good as I expected as she had too many disgusting stretch marks, so I decided to use her just for a BBBJCIM, which was good as she was skilled in the art of cock-sucking.

While she was giving me head, the porn channel was on and a blonde holding a dildo in his mouth was fucking the ass of another blonde with it. The porn channel was other of the facilities of El Play.

When the chick left I went out to hit a club called Go-go, at the entrance the bouncer told me to leave my gun with him, I replied I didn’t have any and he let me in.

There were around 5 girls in Go-Go and about 20 guys or so. From the looks of the guys in there I started to understand why they ask for the guns at the door. The girls were doable but nothing special so I left for Casa Amarilla again, where I had a few more drinks before going back to the hotel.

On the way to El Play I came across some SW’s, but they looked rough, so I slept alone that night, just thinking of the skilled BBBJCIM as I fell asleep.

Maybe it is because it was Thursday, but San Pedro looked a bit slow to me from a mongering point of view, and the town itself hasn’t got much to offer in terms of sightseeing or beaches: it is just a polluted and noisy dump.

The following morning I walked around the town, the Malecon, etc, it was raining on and off and there were very few people around. I didn’t see a single tourist during my whole stay there, only locals.

Later on I took the bus for SD, which would be the main stage of this trip, and also the main revelation.

(This report will continue shortly in the SD section)

I have been in the DR for seven years, and lived and worked in Jarabacoa for one of them. There are a couple of small discos where you can pay a salida for girls if need be, but that is not where you should look, especially if you speak Spanish. There are lots, and I mean lots, of fine local non-pros at your disposal. They are everywhere, just have to strike up conversations. One of best barrios to hit is La Colonia. Jarabacoa basically a small town, great climate, a couple of decent, affordable and girl-friendly hotels to choose from. Basically can get a girl just by buying a few meals and something to eat, no by the hour bullshit. Remember you are in el campo.

I will likely take your advice this January. I have been to Sosua about 5 times in the last 2 years, and although fun, it gets tired fast...seeing the same old hoe$ for 2 years now. I am thinking of either hitting the interior of Santiago and Jarbacoa for 8 nights...or doing a north coast tour from POP to Samana over 8 days...something like 2 in Sosua, 2 in Nagua or somewhere, 3 in Samana, and 1 more in Sosua...

Day 2 – Bonao

I booked a car with Budget like most people do, by choosing the lowest price. Budget seems to be the most aggressive in many locations that I rent in, but this causes the most time lost waiting in line while they help the other budget-minded customers. Next time I resolve to pay an extra $5.00 per day and choose the second cheapest provider. I stood and stood and watched and watched the employees at Alamo and Thrifty do absolutely nothing for over an hour.

Upon receiving my not so sporty Nova and after making the requisite joke about “no va”, I proceeded with caution back towards Santo Domingo. I have some experience in driving in Mexico and Central America but it still takes some time to adjust. After several “What the H**l”s and two major “Holy F**k”s within the first couple of kilometers, I somewhat settled into their very syncopated rhythm of the road.

Deciding to drive around the country during this trip was based on the short distances from the south to the north coast. The deception is in the fact that you cannot bypass the major cities. I had to drive through Santo Domingo to get to Puerto Plata and later Santigo. Of course I would have to repeat on the return. There also seems to be a system in place to place the signage at the road splits after you choose a direction. The best way to navigate through a city seems to be to maintain a compass direction and stick to the “biggest-looking” road. Between the delays at the rental counter and the trouble getting through Santo Domingo, it was afternoon before I had open road on Route 1 north.

The signage on the open road is clear with indications every few kilometers as to how far out you are from the next major town. When I saw the signs for Bonao, I looked at my map and saw the symbol for a golf course. Not that I had interest in playing, but I figured that there had to be some kind of outside influence there. Also, I think that it is better to stop in the mid afternoons to get to know a place rather than fighting the clock as things get late. So I abandoned my plans to get to Puerto Plata that day and decided to try Bonao. I spent about two hours diving around the town to get a feel for it. It seems to be a place of about 80k residence. Typical in Latin American feel except for an area on the west side of town where I found the golf course and many very nice suburban style homes.

I found a hotel called Aquarius in the central area. It turned out to be a nice place and was there to cater to the visitors to the mining operations in the area. The copper mining was also responsible for the nice houses and golf course. After checking in, I went to the hotel restaurant and found western prices. So I went to the next block to the south and found a strip of four restaurants and a liquor store with seating. I sat in the first restaurant, ordered some carne and papas which were excellent and asked the waiter about where to find una mujere. He told me to go to a “casa blanca detras de el bomba”. Now my Spanish is far from perfect and I was in a place with very little English available. But, I am not afraid to try and I am not afraid to make mistakes.

The waiter pointed in a general direction and repeated “el bomba” so I thanked him, paid the bill, and walked off to find the fire station which I was sure would be obviously marked. After walking around in circles for a bit, I asked a couple of guy in an ice cream shop about the fire station. One of them associated my request with gasoline and it was then that I realized that I was looking for a gas station rather than a fire station. I walked back past the restaurant a few blocks to a Shell station. I circled it carefully and found only one small white house. The front door was open slightly but there was a waist high fence with a close gate surrounding the property. I walked around the area again, unsure what to do. It was raining slightly and I starting to get soaked. I returned to the hotel, changed my shirt, borrowed an umbrella and went back to the white house. Same situation, and as I stood staring an older woman approached me, stopped, commented about me walking around the area a lot, and asked me what I was looking for. Now this woman could have been a lookout for the white house or she could have been just a concerned neighbor. Not wanting to take a chance on causing trouble, I told her that I was just taking a walk. I turned and went back towards the strip of restaurants.

I went to the liquor store, ordered a small bottle for 300 peso (now that’s more like it.). I sat down, drank and then asked the counterman to call a taxi. The taxi arrived; I told the driver that I was looking for a woman. He took me to a deserted disco. I then clarified that I was looking to f**k, so he took me to a small green house outside the town. The casa had an old man operator, some dingy rooms with beds, and a collection of perhaps eight women. The women were all dark skinned and most were chunky. I asked the man for a skinny one. All the girls disappeared; he sat me at a table with a Brama and brought a girl to sit with me. She was not unattractive but not so much attractive. I tried to speak to her but she kept looking over my shoulder and giggling with her friends. I could not get a price from her and was not actually looking forward enough to being with her to care. So I paid for the beer and left. The deal was that this was not a place that was used to foreigners; I probably could have gone for 800ish. Some of you guys might want to check this out. You can find it by its proximity to my next stop. It is on the same road and no more than 1km away and on the opposite side of the road from a Shell station with a disco behind it.

The driver took me a short distance down the road to a Shell gas station. Behind the station was a white building with a sign “Disco Provincial”. Finally, the “casa blanca detras de bomba” that I had been looking for. Inside was a large rectangular bar. Behind the bar, the area was stuffed with about 15 chicas. The rest of the bar was about empty. I sat and ordered beer. One chica caught my eye and I invited her to sit with me. After some conversation, I invited her back to my hotel. It was only about 8PM but I was ready. I pressed her for a price but she would not give one. She only said that it was up to me. She did say that the manager might not let her leave because it was too early. She returned from speaking to that manager and said that he wanted 300 to let her go and that he wanted her back by 1AM. I guess that they really do start late and go late in that city. I also learned that the bars are open until 5AM. It was a weekend.

We took the taxi back to the hotel. We spent some quality time and I had another opportunity to try the female condom. I had a better experience this time. I think that it is a balance of lubrication on the inside vs. having enough dryness on the outside to keep it in place. Unfortunately, this was my last attempt at using it in DR. I did not use one in Puerta Plata for reasons that you can read about in my day three report. I ended up giving her 1200 plus 60 for the taxi. I think that I could have paid less. Service was enthusiastic but there was a problem with teeth during oral. After I paid her, she did speak the only English words that I believe she knew: “Thank You”.

I went back to the same restaurant near the hotel. The same waiter as earlier came by and asked me about the casa blanca. I told him about my success at the disco. He seemed confused but then explained that there was really a casa blanca next to the first Shell station that I had visited. So there you go……Something to return for.

Later at the hotel, I enjoyed the second floor pool area that I had to myself and if I return, I will surely have a chica spend some time there with me. It seemed ideal for that. Obviously, the hotel was chica friendly and did not even stop us to check her in. Overall, Bonao is a worthwhile adventure for those who wish to get off of the beaten path.

Next report is in the Puerto Plata section.

EDITOR'S NOTE: I certainly hope that the author or somebody else will post a link to this report in the Reports of Distinction thread.

Hello Concarne,

Haitianas are almost everywhere in the country. But its very necessary, that you speak spanish or french, depending what they are speaking at home. But I can tell you, they are really princesses. After some litte bad and one very bad experinece with dominican girls, now, I ony take haitianas. Till now, never had problems with them. Pay them good, but not too much, and they will give you all they have. I normally stay in Juan Dolio, where also some haitians live. I will return next January there. Hope I can write then a good report. Last time my digitacamera was stolen (not from a haitiana girl). Good luck!

Hello monger friends...I will be in San Pedro de Macoris for a few days and I would like to know if anyone had experience with any of those places:

a) Hotel Howard Johnson San Pedro de Macorix (in Malecon)
b) Stars Apartahotels (Calle Penetración 2)
c) Hotel Las Americas (Calle Máximo Gómez, Villa Orilla)

Does anyone know if those places are chica friendly (without paying extra cost for TLN)? Are they near to SW action? Someone mentioned before a place that called El Play but I cannot find address or telephone number.

are these places happenin' enough for me to chill out and find p*ssy every night...I dont need super models, but if I am in the middle of nowhere, I would love to be able to go out each night and procure something at the local bar for a good night of romping!

which of the 3 makes the most sense for that over a 7 night stay?

I have stayed at Costa Larmar a couple of years ago. An american named Joe owned it. No problem then about bring girls up.

There was a jack of all trades hustler at the hotel. I did not use him but I saw a couple of the girlss. Looked fine. I went to a couple of bars. Left with the waitress everytime. They may want to meet you around the corner, to keep the others from knowing what they are doing. Okay as long as it was in an open area. There was apark in the middle of town. Mostlty I met them there after work. Onr bar across the hotel, I pulled a girl from there one night.

Happing Hunting.

On the way up, one of the little towns , I think Bano, you split and go on one way streets. There is a *****house right as you go into town.

I stayed in Barahona in oct. 2005 for a week....the "city" itself is kindda boring....
in the area some nice beaches....but need taxi (or rent a motobike) to get there.
DO NOT STAY ON THESE BEACHES AFTER NIGHTFALL. Even here it is NOT safe...especialy for gringos.

We (mi novia and I) rented a hotel close to the boulevard....costs 25 USD a night..good room..clean...safe...no questions asked. I aM SORRY i do not remember the name but it was pretty new; not so long in business as a hotel. Most walls even had a fresh paint on...

You have some internet cafees in the center.....during friday/saturday there are some smallbars. DO NOT expect nightlife as in SD or as on the North coast...becoz you will get disapointed. If ye speak spanish picking up a local chica isn't a problem. (just as anywere else in the DR)

For the rest is barahona a quite little town....I would NOT like to live there permanetly. The trip from SD to barahona took about 4 hours with a bus.

here are two pics of the parc in barahona and one from the local firefightershouse with me in front of it;-) As you can see the town is rather small. I don't think they have more then 50.000 people.
I remember getting cash at an atm was a tyring business and before i got some pesos i had to check out 4 or 5 ATM's..!!

cheers.

Well, I made the journey looking for the Haitian queens. The trip to to dajabon from SDQ was long, arduous, boring, adventurous and a little scary. The scary was seeing fresh burn marks on the bridges where tires had been lit during the night to stop cars for bribes and then to allow passage. There was probably 8 military checkpoints, 4 going each way. I was pressed one time by a military for a tip, I acted ignorant, spoke only english, smiled, laughed and watched the cars pile up behind me. He eventually started laughing and waived me on.

There isn't much happening on the journey, lots of scenery until you get extreme north and then it is mostly scrub. I got to Monte Cristo and stopped at restaurant cocomar, which is listed in the rough guide to DR. I had the lobster ajillo (garlic), which ended up with rice, fried plantains, bean soup and salad. Don't forget the 26 percent added to the bill. It totaled out to around 900 pesos, just under 30.00 US. It was worth it, excellent flavor, nothing else around.

Continuing south to Dajabon was more of the same, scrub brush and haitians walking towards the city. Once I arrived, I talked to taxi drivers and motor coach (motor bikes), asking where was a little fun with the ladies, did they know or could they show me? This was all spanish, no english that I saw. What I got was everyone said they could provide, but then it got gray and not any come with me and I will take you to a house or show you. No one was actually able to produce or show me any action. I drove around the city for about 2 hours and let me tell you, I have seen the dark side and it wasn't filled with haitian queens. I don't know where they are, but I didn't find them in dajabon.

I won't be back and I recommend to you, save your money, time and energy.

I was wondering if any of you guys can explain the set up at the Juan Dolio beach areas and make reccomendations.

I know there are a lot of AI type places and it is has more of a family feel, but is there an area with beach stalls where you can rent chairs, eat, grab a few beers, listen to music, and is not very boring? Not too concerned about availability of chicas.

I'll be visiting (and staying in) SD this weekend with a couple of buddys. I'm looking for a plan B during the day in case they are totally shocked and turned off by the Boca Chica scene.

Thanks

About 4 bars with ho's(very cheap) hangin around. Also, you can use the small beach. Restaurants are ok. Gulia's at the center of town is an upscale bar and restuarant--some nights, they have a band. A few ho's hang there as well.

Luperon, A tiny town nestled inside a cruising community harbour.

Many expats, cruisers on yachts, somewhat (basic) modern conveniences.

Hangout. For western food is at Steves Bar, say Hello, to his great dominican wife.

Pooltables, great grub, laundry service, internet, motorcycle rentals.

Many local food stops, sidewalk bars and night clubs.

P4P mix of hatian, and mafioso trade girls. Most from SD.

Easy to hook up with any local lady.

Local girls can be found everywhere. Just be respectable and you will be walking arm in arm with one, two, or three.

No hassle town.

Shake the police chiefs hand, pour him a drink under the roadside tree.

You will find him nightly downtown across from the cellphone shop.

When he has had his fill of drink. Watch him hop into his car. Off he goes.

Off the beaten path. West of POP. But a great stop.

Any information about Samana in the Dominican Republic?

Beutiful sleepy town, very green and tranquil...nice for a getway. Best hotel is right across from the marina...about $30...very nice rooms and decent pool. Dead P4P on weekdays but weekends are full of possibilities as all the campo girls come for fun at the local disco (closed on weekdays). Driving around time at night you may find a girl walking around who may want to have some fun but that is not for sure.

Beach bars Don Pedro and Bar Cacique(about 1 block to the West). Some pretty decent looking chicas. They tend to lie and refuses services after promising! Also, I'm told there are some thieves. Short term=about 1000 pesos. So far only 1 winner out of 3. It seems guys are taking the better ones full time. Mongers here are almost all Euros or Canucks.

My only success turned into a big failure in the 2nd session. It seems the small community of ho's has establishe a code of ''little service''! So the ratio now is 1 of 4! The town is ok for a date as a tranquil beach town. The food is relative good. Also suitable for an overnight stay for an early flight from SDQ.

I was recently in the Cibao(La Vega, Santiago, etc...) area and was made aware of a maddam connection of the top girls in this area. Wow I was blown away with the quality, I mean faces 7+, bodies 8+ and bangability 10++. On Friday (Feb 15th, 2008) I was going to an all day event with some friends and while on my way my cousin calls me to get him at least 4 to 5 girls because his connection were he was had fell through. He proceeded to give me this number of a maddam in La Vega. I called this lady and like nothing she got me 5 very good looking girls at 10am! She even processed to deliver them were I was waiting for some more friends. In about 30 minutes she shows up with these chicks looking great. Well we drove them to the party and proceed to have a great day partying and later that night fing our brains out. If you would like more information on this connection send me private message and I will make all the arrangements with this great connection.

I wanted to confirm my trip to Baraona. I found the spots mentioned, and there was...some action....though i just did not 'hook up'. It's a lovely town, i thought, and yet more hours away from it is fine eco-tourism, which is the better reason to go than the ladies Never seen the rest of the DR, but am convinced it can't possibly be as nice and pretty unspoiled as Baraona area. May it stay that way as long as possible, though that won't happen either, we can all be quite sure...

spent 9 days in dominican republic in july. flew into santo domingo using continental, arrived around 11 a. m. rented a sub compact car from alamo, $415 dollars for 9 days. a chevrolet spark, i believe it is made in korea, did not appear to have air bags. has a plastic storage opening on the door, with a circular opening that was perfect size for a large bottle of presidente. i drove to the jaragua and had a few beers with a chica that i met online. i then drove to carrefour, a large department store on autopista duarte, where i met another chica, that i had met online. it was around 6 p. m. when i left carrefour to drive to samana, las terrenas.

there is new highway that goes to samana from santo domingo. there is one entrance, near the toll plaza, only in the direction, from the airport to the city of santo domingo. i did not know know this at the time, as i was driving away from santo domingo in the direction of boca chica. i drove past boca chica towards juan dolio. if you want to go to juan dolio you have to exit the highway where it says boulevard. i stayed on the highway. this highway doesn't have an exit for what appears to be 20 miles. i was looking for the highway to samana. eventually i pulled over at a bomba (gasoline station) and they told me the entrance for the highway to samana was back near the toll plaza closer to santo domingo. i got back on the highway and there were no exits and this highway is separated by two rows of metal traffic barriers. eventually i encountered one area where someone had cut through the barriers and i was able to make a u turn. missing the highway entrance for samana cost me extra 90 minutes.

the entrance to the new highway for samana is on a service road close to the toll plaza, that is between santo domingo and boca chica and the entrance is only on the side that goes towards santo domingo. there are about 4 tolls on the highway. total cost about 20 dollars. i don't remember any exits or any gas stations on this highway. they seemed to have built it straight through old plantations, small mountains and rice paddie fields. drove at about 80 miles an hour, faster in some spots. supposedly a dangerous highway with a number of fatalities, in that some people travel this highway at a higher rate of speed. the first hour i still had daylight, the second hour was night, one horse crossed the highway in front of me. second time that a dark horse has crossed the road in front of me in dom. rep. , the other time was at night in puerto plata, on the main road near playa dorado.

the highway to samana is not complete, where the construction ended i had to make a right onto a smaller road. there is no barrier blocking the highway, where the construction has stopped. i then drove the local road on my way to las terrenas and the hotel gran bahia el portillo. dark road with some mega potholes, hard to see them at night. various locals and motoconchos along the road. drivers in dom rep sometimes will not take off their high beams. also sometimes motoconchos without lights and other assorted vehicles with broken headlights and tail lights. i would not suggest doing this trip at night.

i finally arrived at the hotel at 10pm. i had the chica from santo domingo in the car with me and this was the first night i had spent with her. this hotel is o. k. , kinda of expensive. mostly europeans and families from england.

the next day i drove to las terrenas, there is a small airport outside the hotel gran bahia el portillo. las terrenas has a road along the beach. i visited the hotel alisei, seems like a nice place, non-all inclusive, some of the rooms have kitchens. i ate at the restaurant in hotel alisei, the food was good. waitress was from argentina as was some of the other workers there. some people use all terrain vehicles to get around in las terrenas. i would probably stay at hotel alisei the next time i go las terrenas. i drove around las terrenas in the day with my chica in the car. i didn't see any working girls, i did not experience the nightlife in las terrenas. the next day, sunday, i checked out of the hotel and drove to playa rincon.

along the way to playa rincon i passed where they have tours for limon falls, guys stand in the road trying to get you to stop, to get you to take a tour of limon falls. i saw dominican women on horseback. playa rincon is over an hour from las terrenas. i passed the other bahia hotels. samana bay and others. gran bahia has one hotel on an island and a boat has to take you there. the side road to playa rincon is not the greatest, about 6 miles on a semi paved road, a few places just with gravel. playa rincon was beautiful. drove up to the beach, parked the car on the sand. no other people there, in the middle part of the beach. at one end of the beach there is a fresh water stream with some outdor bbq type places to get food and beers. i fucked the chica in the water and got a blowjob while standing next to her in the car. we had that section of the beach to ourselves. afterwards i ate at one of the shacks at the far end of the beach, they sell the grouper (mero) by weight. the one we got was three pounds, the guy guts it, then they season it and place it on the pit to cook. not sure where they get their water from to clean the dishes. the fish was delicious, had it with tostones and three large presidentes. price was under 30 dollars, maybe i got charged higher foreigner price. afterwards drove back to santo domingo and checked in at that the jaragua hotel. not sure how the mongering scene is in samana. it was a good experience to see that part of the island. playa rincon is one of the best beaches i have visited, especially since a good portion of it had no other people. if you do decide to drive to samana, my advice is drive during the daytime. once off the highway the roads are curvy and up and down, with ditches along the sides of roads in many places, as well as some large potholes. much, much easier driving in the daytime.

Hello sidney,

As I am doing hoyday in Juan Dolio now about 10 Jears, cannot understand why you are dissapointed. Shure, it is not so crowdy as Boca Chica, but, if you can passionate a bit, as I did, you can find vey nice girls, willing to give all what you want and not always waiting for the money. The best girs are not waiting in the bars. Ask a girl walking in the street ore a waitress in a shop or hotel, and you will be wondering, what happens.

Good luck!

A few years ago I met this nice girl in Las Terenas called Brigita, she was a not very tall, a couple of capped teeth and did not speak well but very cute and very nice, does anyone know if she is still around?

Thanks for the update.

Any specific info on Las Terenas would be appreciated.

I've been a frequent traveller to Sosua and SD and know the scene at those places quite well. In Sosua hooking up is like shooting fish in a barrel, a lot of hustlers and Mafiosas all over, the clubs, the pushy girls, the lies, you gotta get your game on, etc. etc.

What about Terrenas? I've been there for a short time, terrific little town. But where is the action? Not on the beaches, from what I saw. Pretty girls around, but no obvious monger scene that I could see. Could that be a good thing? But does anyone have any real experience here? Is it just a matter of sitting down and waiting for a sweet gazelle to walk by?

Would appreciate any help. I'm planning a longer trip there in May.

Thanks!

My plan is to go to Las Terenas with a non-pro that will take a week vacation off work and come with me to Las Terenas . There is one amazing hotel called http://www.lomitamaravilla.com/lm_eng/index.php. I just want to have the perfect girl to go with.

I just want to have the perfect girl to go with. You may want to read the reviews for hotels in trip advisor (travel site) for las terrenas. I stayed at the gran bahia principe el portillo, nice hotel, but I would not stay there again. I visited Hotel Alisei in las Terrenas, right on the beach, some rooms with kitchens. Nice pool. Good restaurant in hotel alisei, i think it is called baraonda or something like. Argentinian chef and one of the waitresses was from Argentina. Some people gave lomita maravilla a bad review. I did not see this hotel, so I don't know. Hotel Alisei seemed nice. Nice grounds, nice pool, on the beach, quiet. If I go back to las terrenas I would stay at Hotel Alisei.

Lots of twisty turny roads (up and down) going to las terrenas. Check out playa rincon, it is about an 80 minutes from las terrenas (the last 20 minutes you will be on a gravelly half paved road). Really nice beach. Practically deserted. I had sex in the water and had my girl take off her top, most dominican chicas don't like topless but she did it at Playa Rincon, because there were no other people around us.

Stayed one night at the barcelo cappella, paid 118 for an ocean view room (105 for non ocean view room). I was there with a GF chica. Miss America Latina had something going on this hotel, so I saw a couple of the contestants walking around the hotel, tall, attractive, no toothpick legs on the chicas who were part of the Miss America Latina contest. I saw two or three working girls at around 8pm, standing outside the Cappella, in front of the small shops there. Used the free WiFi at La Brisa restaurante and mercado, two minutes from Cappella. Saw the same thin cute chica waitress I have seen on three prior trips.

Food in the capella was good, roast chicken was moist tasty, chivo (goat) was good, good red wine. The entertainment show was fun, drank a bunch of presidentes, went back to my room and had sex. I'll post some photos when I get home.

Lots of Dominicans were there with their families. Sunday checkout was a long wait, almost an hour to check out. Plenty of mosquitoes.

In many cabanas in DR you will find find an apparatus that you can use for different sexual positions. I took these photos of one such apparatus in a cabana in Moca. Posted on the wall near to the apparatus were diagrams of the different positions.

i took a gf chica to the barcelo capella in juan dolio for one night. when i was checking in, there were two tall, very sexy chicas standing at the front desk. later on, i learned that miss america latina had something going on this hotel. i saw a few of the miss america latina chicas walking around the resort, some of them had the white sash draped over their clothes, no skinny legs. i couldn't take better photos, because i had my chica with me.

I've never seen one like that before. The ones I've had in the Santiago cabanas looked more like a GYN chair with places for the chica to put her legs up. And for the basics, once she got in the chair it was intuitive, no need for instructions.

I get to Moca a couple times a year. Can you give me the name and location of the Moca cabana?

Thanks,
Helpmann :)I took a chica from Moca for dinner at Kuka Maraca restaurant in front of the Monument, sat at a table on the second floor with a view of my parked car, with my luggage in it. Afterward, drove her back to Moca from the hotel Platino. We did not take the main highway back to Moca. We took more of a side road back to Moca, she said we went through Licey (famous for its baseball team).

When we got into Moca, all I can remember is I made a right on a small street, when up a hill where the road ended and made a left and the Cabana was on that road on the right. About 500 pesos for the room. It was around 8PM, dark, so I don't remember any landmarks.

The next day I used another Cabana in Moca, that is on the road that takes you back to the main highway for santiago and santo domingo. There are a few Cabanas on that road. You pass a large Banco Popular, that has drive up ATM machines and then I believe I drove past the Universidad that is on the left. That Moca chica was telling me she prfers cars that have tinted windows, so that people can not see that she is entering a cabana at 12PM in the daytime.

I don't know Moca that well and I don't remember the name of the Cabana from the photos, but appears it is in more of a central location in the city.

If you drive to San Pedro de Marcoris, when you get closer to San Pedro de Marcoris the highway splits, stay towards the right if you want to enter into the more central part of the city. The Malecon in San Pedro de Marcoris on Sunday is busy with people drinking.

There is a barrio before the bridge, called something like Punta Pescador, supposedly a bad barrio with drugs and working girls.

I was told that Boca de Yuma is a nice small village to visit, it is past La Romana.

I went to Las Terrenas a few years ago for just a couple of nights, but it was a good experience. Driving there from POP was a nightmare. Most of thedrive was fine, especially some very nice view of the ooastal areas. You need a map, as there is a turnoff in Nagua that is easy to miss. The last few miles is a drive up a steep and winding mountain road, with one lane in each direction and trucks and DR drivers included. LT was very pretty. No monger scene that I noticed but I was with a chica. The beaches were pretty and not a hyped tourist environment.

Just a few miles east is Limon, which has a state park and a well-known waterfall. We got hailed by some guys running a horseback tour up to the falls which was worth the price. Afterward, they sold us on getting a meal there and a woman brought out several plates of food, not a bad price but I don't remember how much.

There was one nightclub with few gringos noticeable in the clientele. Big screen for videos. Crowd seemed pretty good. Again, I was with a chica, and didn't pay much attention to the talent.

There are a lot of Europeans there. The hotel owner/manager was German and the last morning in town, we found a French bakery for breakfast.
French coffee and croissants for breakfast, and got some baguettes to take home.

If you have time to look (I didn't) there are tour boats that go out for whale watching. I guess the area is known for its whale-watching.

Not at all like Sosua, but for those looking for something more "normal", a good trip, - but I would "bring my own" for a chica. Otherwise, Spanish would be needed for pursuing there.

On one Sunday afternoon, I saw a guy flying a hang glider that had a small propeller, over the Malecon in Santo Domingo.

Playa Guyacanes, you can drive your car onto the beach. If you go to Juan Dolio you have to exit the highway where it says Boulevard, otherwise there is no exit on that highway for what appears to be at least ten miles.

Playa Rincon (Samana), had a grouper fish (miro), one of the tastiest fish I have had. Not sure where the beach front shack gets its water from, to clean the dishes.

The new highway to Samana in some places has rice paddies to the sides.

Gentlemen,

Posted yesterday, but it didn't show up here, so I'll type it all up again. Some general statements and some practical information:

It has been said over and over and over again on this board, yet let me confirm this again because I have seen many fellow gentlemen ask if it is possible to get non-pros, and where to get them. The clear answer is: Yes, you can get more than you can handle, and you can get them all over the country – IF you speak Spanish. That to my mind is essential. There is no special place you need to go to to meet girls, because they are everywhere, you just need the balls to approach them – I have never been turned down (and I am neither a fashion model, a music star or a famous baseball player, nor am I stinking rich). This doesn't mean that I have fucked every girl I have spoken to, but at least I never got a stupid response the way I get them from girls in Europe all the time (because I am probably not young/ good looking enough for them). Good places to try are, as has been said before, colmadones, car washes, shops.

I am in the lucky position to travel regularly to the Dominican Republic for business, and I have also lived there for a few years, so trust me, I know what I am talking about. Let me combine some recent experiences with practical infos on hotels, prices, places to go.

Elias Pina: There is a hotel at a small square (actually it's a traffic roundabout with trees and a few benches), close to the police station and in the same building as the Bon icecream parlour. I forgot the name, but the place is ok for doing what you intend to do, I usually also sleep there. With shower and toilet in the room. With aircon 500,. Pesos, 350 without. Forgot the name. Food and breakfast available. Leaving Elias Pina on the road to Santo Domingo there is a Car Wash on the right hand side. I stopped there for a beer in the afternoon because there was nothing else to do, and as it was raining I offered the waitress a lift home. We ended in my hotel room, cost: zero. Yes, this is possible. She told me she was divorced with a kid and hadn't fucked for quite a while and thanked god that finally she felt a dick inside her again.

San Juan de la Maguana: There is a colmadon at the end of the Anacaona road, just before you reach the roundabout. I forgot the name, but it's easy to find – wait, I think it is "El Gaucho". Yes, that's it. Leaving San Juan, the colmadon is on the left side, the restaurant of the same name on the right. Had a beer with a colleague, got the number of a waitress there. Met her next morning, went shopping, bought her a panty and a bra and told her next time I would come I want to see it on her (didn't have time to shag her that morning). On my next trip I called her, and after work she came over to my hotel. Fucked, she left at 2 am because she had to get her kids ready for school the next morning. At 7 am she knocked on my door and brought breakfast along. OK, not my favourite, avocado and Yucca with chicken (a bit rough at 7am), but I thought it was really sweet of her. So while I sat on bed having breakfast she went down on her knees. Very soon I put the breakfast aside and fucked her. Gave her 500,. Pesos and she left. Hotel La Posada, Av. Anacaona 83, I think it was 500 pesos per night.

Azua: Got a former regular from Santo Domingo whom I like very much to visit me in Azua. Hotel Don Ramon, right hand side of the road as you enter Azua coming from SD. Room with fan 450,. Pesos (they have cheaper ones which are not as nice), very clean, with shower and toilet. Rooms with aircon are 800,. Pesos. The only nice rooms are #30 and #31, so go for those. In Azua there is one big colmadon/disco at the BP petrol station (? ) called Mambo bar (not quite sure), typical Dominican, nice place (extremely loud, of course).

I hope this info will help somebody out there. Happy mongering, and I am already looking forward to my next trip in 2 weeks time.

Yes, I am a lucky bastard, I know.

I completely concur with this. Over the last 5 years, I have made a habit of connecting with girls via the internet (CyberCupido, Badoo, Tagged) and always lining up one or two for a date before arriving. About 35% of the girls respond to my messages on these services; the message that invariably reads something like this, "I think you are very pretty and would like to meet you. I am in your country often, and would like to have a Dominican girlfriend." (except that I write this in Spanish).

Of the girls that have agreed to meet me, I have fucked all but one on the first or second date (about 30% on the first date). It usually takes two dates, but the results are excellent. One could actually plan a great sex trip to the DR based on this knowledge.

Here is my suggeted itinerary, which I have more or less tried on several occasions. I say "more or less", because there are always suprises and there is always a need to deviate a little from schedule:

DAY 1: Arrive on a Monday and date a girl whom you met on line; do a P4P after sending her home in a taxi.

DAY 2: During the day, go hunting for potential girls. Have dinner with girl #1 on Tuesday night and spend the night with her.

DAY 3: Move on to girl #2 on Weds for lunch. After lunch, go shopping and meet more girls Get their phone numbers and tell them you think they are pretty and would love to get to know them better. You need to get more than one girl, but be aware this is not hard.

Invite girl # 1 for dinner and fuck her a second time.

DAY 4: Thursday night, lunch with girl #3 and send her home or abck to work in a cab. Take a nap to catch up on lost sleep. Dinner and fucking girl #2 that night.

DAY 5: The following day, take girl #4 for lunch and fuck girl # 3 in the evening.

You get the idea, I hope. This scheme actually works well unless you fall for one of the girls and want to fuck her more than twice.

I actually did this the last time I was in the DR.

All in all, I have found that the girls are available EVERYWHERE in the DR and will predictably sleep with you if you speak Spanish and are not entirely socially retarded.

The trick is finding the chicas you want to sleep with. This can be done on line, but will involve a lot of lying ("I arrive on Tuesday and leave on thurday; can you make lunch with me on Tuesday?"). Alternatively, you can meet girls in stores and bars. It also involves a lot of planning.

For a 5 day trip to the DR, I typically arrange one internet date and find the rest of the women by shopping in clothing stores or sticking my head into hairdressers (if there is a pretty girl, ask for a pedicure. By the end of your pedicure a hot date is assured). All of the hairdresser girls are available. They are never educated, always into looking good and always looking for a guy to conquer. They are a great source of Dominican pussy.

In any case, this strategy works for me. I hope it will inspire someone esle to try. By the way, just because most of the girls are not P4P, don't be fooled. Non pros are reliably more expensive than pros.

Hey,

I'm going to DR this June. Its my first time overthere so I like to see as much of the country as possible, not just the mongering citys like Sousa, Santo Domingo and Boca Chica. I was thinking if its possible to get some girl action in citys like La Romana, Las Terrenas, Jarabacoa?

Can someone tell me some good places to get grils without too much work in these citys, discos, bars etc. It would be appreciated.

I'm most into semi-pros. And brothels is not me.

I'm almost fluent in spanish. But my wingman don't speak a word spanish.

Thank you

Thank youForest gives good advice, try to meet chicas online before you go.

In la romana the nicest bar is marinellys a few streets up from Jumbo. Profesionales is a small local bar in La Romana where I met two non-pro sisters. Fashion bar in La Romana is nice, it is next to dominos pizza. Urban bar has big ass bartenders, I believe you can encounter semi pros there, it is in la romana. There is also a car wash bar in la romana on the main road before the traffic light where you make a right to go in the direction of jumbo and the water. Could be a place to hook up.

Jarabacoa is near la vega. Cacique is a nice bar in la vega and across the street from cacique is another popular bar.

I am right now in Montecristi about one hour and a half from Santiago.

There is a restaurant-BAR called Dona Ana: an open air with a thatched roof that offers LIVE music from a 6-man band on Sunday and I figure on the week-end as well as I was there on a Sunday evening for dinner.

I had a natural juice for 40 pesos, a fish soup for 100 pesos, a red wine cup for 100 pesos.

At 8 or 9 in the evening the place was packed with families (yes, husband and wife with their children in tow), some married couples in their fifties, groups of couples in their thirties and tables of single non-pros young women looking for male partners.

I was even offered as I travelled single on my own to join a table of young women. I had a bad cold and could not muster enough energy for a sexual action.

Inexpensive hotels can be had like the Gil Hotel for about 450-500 pesos with air-conditioning, fan, shower/bath, tv with cable.

Good report always good to have info on towns that are not heavily traveled to.

ThanksI shall mention a few drawbacks :

1 There is NO taxi service in town; it means to move from entertainment place to other , you need to use a MOTORCYCLE taxi. And you need to make arrangements with a mototaxi to come and pick you up at a certain time.

2 Most of the streets are NOT paved; welcome to mud and dust-filled air.

I went to Dona Ana, that Bar-restaurant in Montecristi on Saturday evening ( it was 9:30 p.m.) and apart from 2 Dominican couples in their early twenties the place was empty.

A DJ provided recorded romance spanish music ( Julio Iglesias ) as background music .

I left around 11 p.m. after the 2 couples left .

I recently did a trip to SDQ and Azua. My novia (and I use that term loosely) is from Azua which is about 2 hours west of SDQ. I had never been there so I had her meet me in SDQ, from there we would travel by bus to Azua the following day. I was planning on staying with her for five or six days and then travel back to SDQ to spend a few days with Jaosousa chasing chicas.

After an uneventful flight from BOS I arrived at the SDQ airport and took a cab to the Caribe Tours bus terminal and picked up my novia. I called the Riazor Hotel and asked if they had a room and was told they had only one room left and they would hold it for an hour. Checked in, price is now $66. USD a night. I was tired so we ate at Manolos and had a few Presidentes and went back to the room. The next morning my novia asked me if I wanted to take the bus or a gua-gua to Azua, how the fuck do I know, this is your country I told her. Well, we took the gua-gua which is an experience in itself. 18 people packed into a mini van with no AC for 2 hours.

The city of Azua is decent sized just under 100, 000 people but it has almost no infrastructure for a city that size, for instance there are no taxis only gua-guas and to my knowledge only one internet café and it only had a dialup connection. If you are a budget monger there is dirt cheap lodging and some seedy bars with chicas, I did not partake but it might be a possible uncharted territory, if I go back I will try to snoop around some more.

The local gua-guas that ply their trade in Azua heading west are nothing but beat up pickup trucks held together with bubblegum and bandaids, you have to admire the way they keep these things running it is amazing. Gua-guas along the main highway(I forget the route #) are very busy because the whole area is almost nothing but farm land so there are plenty of machete wielding haitian farm workers needing rides either to work or home from work. Riding in the bed of a pickup truck with these guys was a trip I'll tell you.

The barrio where my novia lives was quite poor but I have quite a bit of experience staying in these types of places from my travels in Colombia. Her mother pays 2000 pesos a moth for a house that had two bedrooms, a living room and kitchen. I wouldn't call the bathroom a bathroom as it was outside unattached to the house, more like a latrine. Everyone steals their electricity which is only on for about eight to ten hours a day. There were nine people living in the house, quite cramped.

There was a cabaña about fifteen minutes up the highway so I decided to rent a room there, my spanish is not perfect so it took some effort to explain to both my novia and the owner of the cabaña that I wanted the room 24 hours a day as they never have guys asking to rent a room for more than 4 hours. I paid 1000 pesos a day.

The barrio had only one bar/club and we went there the first night, it was packed spilling over into the street, there must have been 200 people partying there. While we were there a girl came over to my novia and started chatting and I knew I recognized her. The next day I asked my novia where I knew her from and she told me she used to work at BB's and she hooked up with some Canadian dude who bought her a house at the edge of this barrio along with two SUV's. AND he bought the bar we went to so she would have something to do, she runs it. We went back to the bar the next night and after it closed we went to this girls house and it was a fucking palace for christsakes, 5 bedrooms, inground pool etc. I have to say guys COME ON NOW! Sure I've given my novia (again I use the term loosely) money but a 5 bedroom house, two cars and a fucking nightclub WTF. I can't remember this girls name but it will come to me because my wingman banged her at BB's for three days the last time we were there. The Canadian dude flies down there every three to four weeks to see her. The bar alone cost this fucking idiot three and a half million pesos.

After a few days my trip was cut short due to a hernia that started to rear its ugly head and I decided to get the hell out of dodge before I ended up in a Dominican hospital, no thank you. Unfortunately this meant I had to go home without doing the SDQ tour with Jaosousa and if you read this post Jao I want to appologize once again to you for having to change my plans at the last minute.

On the way back to SDQ I called the Riazor and was told they didn't have any rooms available. I splurged and got a room at the Melia. I picked up a SW that night for just a blowjob, she was actually very cute and personable. After she sucked me dry I took her to Manolos and we had a bite to eat and did some drinking. She offered to come back to my room and spend the night but I had to head to the airport at 3am and wanted to get at least a couple hours sleep.

FYI, if you approach the bellman out front of the Melia PRIOR to picking up a girl and tell him you want to bring a girl back to the room and you will tip him well he will walk you and her right to the elevators and you are golden.

My next trip to the DR is scheduled for May, the north coast this time. I'll go one more time in October then after that I probably will be spending less time in the DR as I need to start spending more time in Colombia because I plan on living there soon so I need to start looking for an apartment or house for my Colombian novia, myself and my daughter.

Thanks,
Helpmann :)I tipped him 500 pesos, pretty steep but otherwise you won't get chicas in the place. I prefer to stay at the Riazor,it is more to my liking but they don't always have rooms. I was going to use the Jaguar but the taxi driver had never heard of the place and from where I was at the time I didn't know how to tell him how to get there. I was shocked that he didn't know the place.

Thanks for the info on the Hotel Melia. The gua gua's in Azua were a trip. 25 pesos for as far as the guy goes, get off wherever, they pack people in there like freeking sardines. I preferred to ride in the back of the pickup rather than five people in the back seat. I do not remember how much the larger gua gua's you see heading out of SDQ to the surrounding cities and towns were but they were cheaper than Caribe tours because that is why my "novia" suggested it,I agreed because I wanted the experience, the cost of the Caribe tours buses are already inexpensive.

And yes,we will monger together one day for sure. My hernia was of the umbilical variety and it is healing quite well. Only the tiniest incision inside the bellybutton. I can only imagine what one of those Dominican doctors would have done. By the looks of some of these chica's cesarean scars I bet they would have opened me up like a fucking can of tuna.

I wonder how much it cost Tiger per session with her (10 million dollars divided by the number of sexual encounters). Nice to have money like that.

Considering I don't know a ton of chicas that well in Puerto Plata the percentages of girls with Western Union boyfriends is staggering to say the least.

Tiger is my hero,to have the ability to throw 10mil at some wh**e just to shut her big mouth is unbelievable.

Small city in the process of being improved. Beaches are far and there is no hobby to speak of. Lots of ugly and fat girls, only doable semipro showed unable to entice. Moved to Las Terranas and it looks much better, have to sample then report.

Decent mix of Europan developments and local simplicity. Beach and weather are lovely. I met was a kind of resident talent at my hotel, where had been hanging there very patiently waiting for something to happen. Not a great beauty but decent strong body and good manners. She had a kind of strange spanish but she claimed not to be Haitian. Very willing to please with DFK, good mouth action and very good squatted cowgirl. 1,000p and no hurry. Lodging, etc is cheap also.

Guys that travel and live on the south coast please chime in with your experiences(travel, food, hotels, girls, safety, crime, etc) it would graciously be appreciated.

Just made it to Las Terranas after a 5 hour ride from Sosua. I brought sand to beach for a romantic weekend with the novia and had a plan to see if I can get her to do some 2x1 happy hour action with another chica down here.

But nite just went to shit.! Pulled up at the resort and Put the truck in park then Reverse-No va? Tranny is dead. I can go forward no backward. Rented the car in Sosua and drove it here. I'm fucked?

I stayed at the Hotel Don Carlos in Higuey, price was 1300 pesos per night. Free wifi, restaurant and a packed bar that had Karaoke. The hotel is three blocks from the Basilica of La Altagracia, a large church with futuristic architecture that would fit in well in the movie "Blade Runner".

If any one needs more info about Higuey you can send me a PM.

I come back to Las Terrenas yesterday. The new road from Sand Doming is very good, at some pointy even exciting to drive in the natural park. It is actually easier to get there from Santo than from Puerto Plata. Only the last 14 Kms of twisty mountainous road are in horrible, but apparently being worked on. At the crest of the hill, the view is nothing short than fantastic.

The town is clearly under development right now. Overall it's the best place I've found in the DR so far, it has many clean looking facilities and doesn't appear so fucked up if you know what I mean. The small restaurant after the police station is now a grocery store, meaning no more freebies from the lady manager, like the last time. She was fun to be for a while.

I check-in a small beachfront hotel and negotiate $150 a week. Otherwise the walk-in rate is p. 1,000. The room is ample and clean, OK bathroom, has balcony, everything works including wi-fi in room. Mine doesn't have A/C, but it's not needed right now.

There are two specific p4p places here, one is la Posada by the main plaza, they close at midnight due to the hotels close by can't stand the music. And they have a bad music selection too. It has tables, some food, so it's more like a bar than a disco.

Then by the fishermen village, there is a short strip with few clubs. The last one is the most popular unlike the upscale Gaya. It is small and lively with a decent selection by the resident DJ. Drinks are p. 200 or p. 100 for a beer.

I show up a little after midnight and it was packed with girls and some tourists, mostly Europeans. Including the random white women, that I bet are not having a fraction of the fun they would like to. As the usual, most chicas were just too fat, witch just few decently looking. I spot one that kinda liked but did not clicked as she don't seemed able to get me interested even with a little pole dance. Another skinny one comes to me begging for a beer but I sense bad attitude and send her away.

Just like almost everywhere in the world, most the girls are unable to entice men "the right way" and propose their services with some kind of good vibe. And it's not a matter of language. If they only knew how easy it is, they wouldn't go home empty handed nine nights out of ten.

A little after 3am the place gets emptied quickly, I guess girls want to cut their losses going home earlier for an additional sleep rather than useless waiting. I linger a little longer, then after a p. 150 hamburger at the booth I happily go to sleep.

After few nights on the prowl, I think I've got quite clear how things work out here. It is not an excellent scenario, but not even tragic at all. Turns out that Las Terrenas likes to live at night, thing that I like also. I know however that most American mongers want they catch served not after 9.30 pm and like to go to sleep early, so they may not be happy with the way it works here.

Everything starts not before 9.30pm at La Bodega. They mostly play salsa and merengue with the occasional live event. In there, mostly Haitian girls will show up alone or in pairs at the most. They are the ones with the most urgent need and campaigning more aggressively. The place is a mix of p4p and regular tourists , it's spacious but that's it. This can drag on for hours, if you want to dance you can buy a single beer for a girl and let understand she has to made it last :). If you want to take a girl to your room to sample her with 1 pop, 1,000 DRP is a very decent offer that they are not likely to turn down, not even the most attractive ones. The fat end ugly ones should probably come for free - OK, for meals and drinks.

Around 1am girls stars moving or going to the clubs by the beach. Some go out in groups of 5 or 6, they are probably more genuinely friends among themselves. First they will check out Gaia that is a more elegant place, and where guys more inclined to spend can be found sometime. The thing is, Gaia never gets much full and lively, There is always more people leaving rather than getting in if that makes any sense.

The bar in front of Gaia is exclusively meant for Euro couples or people not wanting to mix with p4p girls, consequently is boring as hell. You can skip it safely.

Then the place where almost anything happen is 50 yards down the road, funny but I'm not sure of the name. it is run by a Frenchman, Federico, looks an OK guy. There is a couple of massive bouncers that do their work without messing with anybody unless necessary - I never seen any incident happen so far. By the bar you will have most guys sitting, while girls will gravitate more toward the dance floor and the two dance poles, that they love to use all the time taking turns. Their dress code is sexy but not excessively trashy. Then you have a bunch of shy Haitians standing by the DJ console trying to get your attention without making an open move (?!?). You will not be pressed for drinks and can check out the place without ordering anything for quite a long time if you want. Drinks start at 50p a water bottle.

Now about the quality and attitude of the girls. Every night, there is clearly just and handful of better ones, I would say no more that 3 or 4, all the rest is either forgettable or good for a single use while in a state of intoxication.

The most negative thing is that the attractive ones have attitudes. I first approach Sol, that has lighter complexion, pretty face, short straight hair, very nice legs highlighted by a black miniskirt. She is a smoker, for me is a turn down, then she makes me understand that she in no hurry to go down to business and is not even willing to leave his group to keep me entertained. My feeling is that they rather wait for a regular customer to show up before taking chances with a newcomer. At then end I tell Sol that that "despues" will actually be "nunca mas" for me.

I move on to another one, of which I forgot the name now. She had bad burn marks on an arm and some other body part, but these do look a little like a 3D tattoo, so not too bad to the eye. Pretty face, good body, just a little baby fat but have the personality of a mouse, unable to keep me interested but always ready to chit-chat her friend Rossana. The latter is the one I considered the hottest, good body and cock sucker face, I think she was the one with the lighter skin, but also probably the worst biatch around. I want to take Rossana but she says she has a boyfriend in France, comes only to drink and bullshit like that, to which I laugh. I think she did not wanted to mess with me as I initially engaged her friend, that at that point I plant there. Next thing she is getting drinks and kissing a big fat European guy, I take the occasion to tell her how "mala" she is. There is no need to look for more appropriate vocabulary with this kind of girls as their education and attention is very limited. At which point she looks at the big fat guy behind me as for looking for his intervention, I turn and wave him hello, shake his hand and leave the happy party, no offense to the guy but he's just another sucker to be ran around by a shark, as it will become more evident later.

A this point my chances in the place have become quite slim. As already mentioned, only few Haitians have decent bodies, but for one reason or another I'm not attracted to them.

I bite the bullet and leave, now as you drive past the intersection, there is another "disco", catering to locals. One of the girls standing out there looks kind of OK so I park and get in, I'm immediately escorted to the bar by this one to begin some kind of conversation. The place is plain but not rundown. Some people is dancing but most girls just sit bored waiting for customers that eventually never show up. That is understandable considering their limited attractiveness. The girl tells me that there rooms on site to which I respond I would be only interested to go to my hotel. According to her, it would cost a 500 p barfine and 3,000 for her, to which I reply that if she gives me her number, I may call her another day for a 1,000 p trick. She says she would pass the number to me and walks away, never to be seen again. Not a loss really.

I move on to another one and start talking, surprising this one has a working brain and is able to hold a conversation, so we go through some beers (large Presidente 100p). Her name is Esmeralda, pretty face but the body is actually to the very opposite of the common man tastes. Anyway her company is good and the time made a little more interesting by that Rosanna of above showing up together with a fit local young guy. They just sit far away from me, for sure she sees me but doesn't look directly. I think her method of opportunism works in 30 minutes time-frame where she gives men the "privilege" of being hot to look at, and likely very little more. We gossip hard about that shit with Esmeralda and that is all right.

At 4 am the place closes and I go with Esmeralda for some food. She tells the barman the last beer will be paid by her the following day, as the guy had no change (how is that possible after they sold tens of 100p beers ?!?). There is only a a place left open with a bar and practically all the girls of before are hanging out there. The police shows up there too, after all it seems logical. The burnt girl is also there, grabs a mean drives away alone with her scooter. As always you see how a marginally smarter girl save enough to buy an independent mean of transportation instead of having to ride three people with smelly motoconchos.

The hour would have been good to make an offer and get some girl home for a deep discount. Although I have noticed that sometime girls are so stupid to refuse last chances on the basis on "being tired". Anyway I grab a couple more beers and we go to the Hotel to sit on the terrace in total quiet and eat our shitty sandwiches.

Again this fattie shows a nice personality and conversation, she appears to be genuinely curious about my stories, I learn that she also speck English as she has being raised in another island, Aruba maybe?

I try not to be disappointed about her looks we go to bed, thinking that this will mark the lowest of my mongering career, as if there would not have been many lows already! Fortunately her oral skills compensate the excess weight and all in all I can keep my dick hard during the whole process. I have her stick her tongue and cum freely all over it. She runs for the bath for a Listerine mouthwash, an item I never travel without. We pass out to sleep only to be awaken at don't know which time by some horrendous construction noise. To not think about it, I get another BJ and again make sure she cleans it good until the last drop. At which point is time for her to leave with a 1,000 bill and I go back to sleep.

Next move has to be with "regular" girls, I really hope to find a pretty one...
And chances are, some new ass will pop up at the discos... well see..

Thanks Jao for enjoying my stories. Here's another one.

This morning at 4am after quite a long day of work with my notebook, I decide to go check out "Nuevo Mundo" disco that was pretty much the one I did not enter yet. I would better stayed in my room.

It is really the after-hours nightspot of Las Terrenas. They stop serving by the street window at 4 am but that's it, it was quite lively inside. Many guys and chicas were and among them the usual "know faces and asses". More than other times I note there is a lot of tall and strong women, for sure they are the taste of some guy here. I get myself a p. 150 large Prez and not even sit when a slim Haitian Nadia sticks with me. She is kind of good looking so I let her do.

At some point this hottie Sol walks in also, she is likely the best looking Dominican right now in the Las Terrenas Nights. She is the one I told I would never go with, bullshit, if she had made a move I would have been ready to work a treaty. But she didn't.

Anyway the story goes like this, I stand still close to some benches all the time. I take out my wallet to give Nadia p. 100 for a sandwich, (that apparently she never bought). I was not in an high traffic area, I swear I did not had anybody beside or come close to me, I did not danced or moved around, nothing. The simple mistake of keeping the wallet in the back pocket was enough. I wasn't even buzzed, and just thinking in myself if it was worth to bring the Haitian home.

Once negotiations were done (more on that later), I check my wallet and it's missing, with about p 2,000, one C/C and D/L. The latter was of course what I really was pissed about. Just to check how they reacted, I tell the bouncer that someone has took my wallet, of course not that he cared much about.

I go back to the benches - the ones right in front of the door for a last desperate search, there were some nationals of mine sitting there. I tell these guys what happened and if they had seen anything, I was not even really bitching about, just stating.

Then this tall fat idiot starts asking how did I cared for it. In the meanwhile I eye my wallet on a side, where it had been thrown. Luckily the D/L was still there and I was very relieved. For what I know, I may have misplaced it and someone simply found it, just took the money and C/C and tossed in the vicinity

The worst part of all this is when the large European dickhead, 20 yrs younger than me, repeatedly lecturing on how I should keep money in the front pocket instead, and "wake-up because we are not in our homeland". His talks, looks and attitude are of someone that lost his truck loader job due to immigrant competition, and is now living like a cheap ass far away from home with some money his mom sends monthly.

He stands up and talks loud as if it was his money. Some waiter comes over to check what's going on. I did not expected any help or friendship from anyone but once again but I realized how is that hardened girls are not ever the worst people around in this kind of places, and that is true worldwide.

I tell the guy to fuck off, and walk out. All prospective of fun gone, on top of it's pouring and I can't almost move my car due to the idiot-bikes. Quite an inglorious end, however now I fell better having the forum as a place to to vent.

Now for the p4p intel, about the Haitian (or was she the thief ?). I laid her my offer of "all night" with three pops for 1,500. She had been pondering but accepted without much enthusiasm when I found I was missing an important part of the deal. Anyway, from her attitude, it wasn't a really much promising encounter. Now fact is, I have been in the DR for many days and did not had one hot fuck yet.

This land is paradisiac but everyday I am more convinced that for exciting mongering there are much, much better destinations.

I would laugh hearing both good and bad stories. I have had bad experiences and good experiences in Dom Rep.

ALWAYS fun hearing both good and good experiences the next day and comparing notes, I wish I was there, keep the reports coming.

Anyone got a report from Bonao ?Bonao is tricky I say that because they have three hotels in the town area and all of them are full due to gold miners from Peru, Columbia etc staying there. They have cabanas but they charge way to much for over nite. I had to drive to La Vega to stay at a hotel there then drive back to Bonao. They have a couple of hoe houses there other than that not to much action unless you have something lined up there already.

It was not fancy. Price probably under 500 pesos for 4 hours. If the guy wants to sleep in the cabana, he can ask for another 4 hours. 8 hours is plenty to get some sleep. You can ask for extra sheets when at a cabana.

Bonao supposedly has some scenic rivers / streams.

The cabana I used in Bonao is just south of some buildings that have a parking area, which fronts the main highway. For that cabana, I believe there are stairs from the where you park your car inside the garage, to get to the room.

I knew a chica in Bonao, took her that cabana, busted a nut, dropped her off in town and continued on my way to Santiago. Some cute chicas in Bonao. Bonao is about an hour north of Santo Domingo. Near Bonao, I saw people selling what appear to be freshwater fish on the side of the highway. Good sized fish hanging on wooden stands.

If any one needs more info about Higuey you can send me a PM.Hi Jao and other Higuey experts, what are the name of of some of the bars in Higuey? How is the pricing structure? Is TLN available?

Thanks.

I'm staying at the Barcelo Capella AI in Juan Dolio. Nice resort. Room with an ocean view only cost $51 per night for two people. Nice clean room. No problems at all. There is an extra cost for internet of $10 per 24 hours. Haven't gotten around the town yet. Any information on action within the town? Hopefully I find something outside of the resort because if so I will definitely stay here again. I've read about casa 21 here and I'm going to try and get there tomorrow.

From my initial research it looks like a nice, clean, middle class town. You need to be more specific. San Juan is a province in the DR, there are also several cities named San Juan. If you are referring to San Juan de la Maguana, yes I have been there. I spent 8 days in Azua a couple years ago and did a day trip only to san Juan de la Maguana. These are very poor areas but the people are wonderful. That said, you better have very good spanish and accustomed to the true Dominican way of life. For example, there are no taxi's just gua guas that will be anything from a actual bus to the most beat up piece of shit car with seven other people in it already, you may also, no you WILL find yourself riding in the back of a pickup truck with a load of Haitian farm workers carrying machetes. Best bet is to go with someone that lives there, I had a blast but not for the less traveled or someone looking for even three star accommodations. For the first five days I didn't see anyone that spoke a lick of english let alone a gringo. Then one day while waiting for a "gua gua" one of the several pickups I would have the pleasure of riding in the back of pulls over. I jump in and amongst the farm workers is a fucking gringo sitting there, dressed in a suit and tie! He said Hello, and that was it. He got out in the middle of east bum fuck. One of life's many mysteries.

Is it very rural farming area? Is it a small urban area? Relatively safe? Thanks for your input.San Juan de la Maguana is something like the 12th largest city in the DR but it is not all that big. Sure there are a lot of places to drink and meet people, mostly small local hangouts but I did pass what appeared to be a couple of night clubs but it was daytime. I would love to go back someday, it is in the sticks for sure though.

That whole area is all large farms and plantations of tomatoes, sugar cane and plantains. To sum up your questions, there is a city proper but it is small, outside the city it is nothing but the boondocks.

The level of safety is subjective, it is one of the poorest areas of the DR so you you can imagine how bad. I never felt in any danger but I sure as hell wouldn't be walking around at night in that city or Azua by myself because I am as gringo as gringo gets and I stood out like a sore thumb down there. I did get around at night but I was with my ex-girlfriends brothers who are big dudes, all of them. One night I went to a nightclub just outside of Azua and I saw two young guys inside the club with pistols tucked inside their jeans in plain view.

Quick funny story. In the club where the muchachos had the pistols I saw this girl with giant tits and for some strange reason I thought I recognized her. Now keep in mind I am in some shithole neighborhood VERY far from anyplace I had ever been before in my life but I was sure I knew her. She was walking around telling people what to do like she was the manager or whatever. After a few more drinks I got up the balls to call her over and ask her where she was from. She said she was waiting for me to ask because she recognized me. She used to work at Blackbeard's and she ended up marrying some rich dude from Canada. She grew up in this particular barrio outside of Azua and he bought her the nightclub, a huge home across the street and two cars. He goes down once a month and spends a week with her then flies back to Canada. The fucked up thing is I don't remember her being a rock star in bed and she isn't even that hot, oh well love is blind I guess.

Took us about ten minutes to figure out where we knew each other from. I remembered her because at the time she was the only Polish woman I had ever fucked, and she remembered me because I was the first North American she had met who knew what country Lodz was in. Now, I only knew that because a few days earlier I was in Brussels and I ran into some guy in a cheesy US cowboy suit, complete with chaps, who was shilling for an (alleged) Méxican restaurant. I thought that was hilarious and I asked him where he was from. He said Poland and I asked if he was from Warsaw and he said no, Lodz. I think the whole "six degrees of separation" thing gets reduced to three or four when you monger (I was mongering when I ran across the Tex-Mex place). In general mongering has improved my geography.

Pleas any info for this area?Like anywhere else, if you speak Spanish you will not have a problem meeting girls. Just start a conversation. Some of the girls in your area will not go with foreigners, but some will.

If you get to the nuevo carretaria area, start a conversation with the street cart guys. I asked one guy about his niece, and he arranged her for the next day. I gave her 1, 500 to stay over. When I checked into my resort, I said 2 adults and 2 dependents. That same day, I had a non-pro over, her son, and counsin. So, when I bring other girls, no one inquires. Also, I am VERY discreet.

Do not go with girls who quote you rates in USD. Avoid them. They are seasoned pros.

I am writing about a girl, who hapens to be GFE, that you should avoid.

I forget her legal name, as I forgot to take a picture of her cedula when I saw it, but she goes by Morena. She lives in San Pedro with her mother and 10 year old daughter, but works the Juan Dolio area. She works the older and new sides, but I met her on the newer side. She is dark skinned, thin, attractive, about 5 feet 9 inches, and speaks very limited English. She cell number is 829-205-3070. She tried to do a bill swap scam.

She asked for USD $150 when I met her. That was strike one. Normally, I never go with a girl who asks for money in USD. I need to stick to this rule. I suggested 1, 500 pesos TLN after some talking and game. She said okay for me. Yea, right. We go back to my apartment. She is helpful. Leaves her cedula without prompting, gives me advice on security with girls.

She gave a great GFE. Everything was on the menu. She allowed multiple shots. Cuddled afterwards. All in all, she was a good pull. We exchanged numbers.

Later, she went into living room, I went into safe and got a 1, 000 note and a 500 note. I gave her money folded in hand, said it was was her daughter, and some snacks. She turns around, goes to purse, and turns again. She shows me that I gave her a 100 note rather than a 1, 000 note. I was pissed, but did not show it. I gave her the look.

Ultimately, I escorted her out, she got her cedula, and left. I would NOT use her again, even though she provided a great GFE until the payment occurred. I simply do not like games.

Hi Guys I have info for you here lots of busty ones here. I found one chunky but very big tits that wants me and another one with big ones that works in a hotel. I think La Romana will be fun for me. One of my friends says La Romana is boring but I will have to see on that. To me it seems La Romana might be very competitive with the big breasts of Santiago and Santo Domingo too.

Can someone also then give me info on the big mall there and budget hotels there? Also how often gua guas come and go from Bavaro too?

Ok I wait here for replies.

Located on the main road between La Romana City and Bayahibe is the Italian owned Vecchia Caserma Hotel and Restaurant. Very quiet location (for the beach, market etc, a car or taxi will be necessary). At least one sexy Dominicana with healthy lungs works at this hotel. Room rates start around $60US per night. The room I saw was nice with a large bathroom. Part of the property has what used to be a large horse stable that in the past was used by the Dominican government (maybe police or army).

cooper.shouldn't be a problem, i have seen numerous women topless at the catalonia hotel in bayahibe. years ago i stayed at the coral marien by hilton in puerto plata and there were signs saying no topless bathing (hilton is no longer part of the coral marien hotel). maybe if the hotel is owned by an "american" named corporation like hilton, they might be less tolerant of topless sunbathing. i have not stayed at a wyndham hotel in the dom rep, so i don't really know what their policy is, seems wyndham might be somewhat of an american corporation. i have been told that there are great parties at the viva wyndham hotels in bayahibe. on the beach i don't think the hotel will say anything if your gf goes topless, around the pool area, i don't know.

the two viva wyndham hotels are on one side of the lighthouse and the iberostar, catalonia, be live and cadaques are on the other side of the lighthouse. you can walk along the beach past each hotel. i saw a small quiet beach near the town of bayahibe, access by a non-paved road, seems some people may go nude there. if you have a rental car or a scooter, from the hotel bayahibe drive toward the water, make a left at the end of the road (you will pass a captain kidd place) , go straight and probably make your next right, large open field and businesses that rent out mini speed boats, continue past those businesses and the road will become kind of gravelly (non-paved) , go straight and after about 400 feet will be a place to park and a small beach, seemed secluded when i saw it and there were some european people there.

staying at an ai in bayahibe, you can rent a room for a short term at the hotel bayahibe for around $25us, which is what i did years ago, when a woman visited me in bayahibe from santo domingo for half a day. the disco (pure) in the casino on the main road into bayahibe, was nice, seems to get going late. i visited during the weekend of the presidential elections, so many businesses were closed in bayahibe and la romana. casinos and bars / discos attached to casinos seem to be exempt from having to close when other places close.

the roads in the town of bayahibe now have cement pavers, which are nice.

Nice waitress. I hope you had the opportunity to "known" her a bit better? .The tight white pants and tight tan pants, was a treat to see everyday on some of the waitresses. There is some booty in the DR.

The waitress in the photo was very nice, she spoke English. She is a friend, nothing more, she no longer works at that hotel. There are other attractive waitresses there now, including the one with the Asian features whose pic was posted about a month ago.

Looking for a nice hotel / resort in Juan dolio to stay with my DR princess. Something not too expensive, clean with good customer service, hotel pool (all inclusive or non) , queen / king bed with ocean view. Any help out there would be much appreciated. Later, KrisVarious options for Juan Dolio. Several new apartment buildings with short term rentals, on or near the beach. Also villas near golf courses. There are various sites that list apartments (condos) and villas for rent in Juan Dolio, http://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rentals/dominican-republic/juan-dolio/r16278 Some photos I took at a Costa Del Sol apartment in Juan Dolio, at 6am.

I have seen airline personnel stay at this hotel.

Hello.

Anyone know how is the current state of p4p in Las Terrenas (Samaná) after the fire of Pueblo de Pescadores? How is it compared to Sosua, PP or PC?

Could you develop a little bit?My opinions are:

1. Sosua- because of the abundance of women and the relative low prices. This includes Cabarete also.

2. PP-Low prices, the women are there but you've got to do some work to find them especially if you don't have a car. But if you do have a car the PP area is great for mongering, everywhere from Montellano to Costambar, Cofressi, the rural areas inland from PP and Luperon.

3. BC-Low prices, not as much of a choice as the Sosua area and girls seem to be a bit more hard core and more aggressive.

4. LT-low prices, but low selection too. Has potential? Lots of Italians hanging out in LT.

5. PC-high prices, good quality, but high prices with lots of guys (especially the Russians with their pockets full of money) driving up prices, the good mongering is actually over in Higuey about 45 mins away from PC.

These are just my observations, others may differ.

PP=Puerto Plata.

BC=Boca Chica.

LT=Las Terrenas.

PC=Punta Cana.

She said Juan Dolio was economical.Be Live Hamaca is a large all inclusive hotel in Boca Chica, rates vary, from around $150US to over $300US (for the suites). Boca Chica is 10 minutes from SDQ airport (santo domingo airport). Juan Dolio is about 20 minutes from SDQ airport. There are at least two all inclusive hotels in Juan Dolio (Coral and Barcelo). Apartment rentals on the beach in juan dolio starting at around $35US per night (caribe paraiso). Hotel Playa Paraiso, I have never heard of.

Better late than never. This is an old trip report but a funny one that I just started recollecting today. There's some big bar across from the graveyard downtown las teranas that the night usually starts at. I hit the bar up alone and made friends with one of the servers there who spoke really good english. It sounds like the average price for take out was about $30-50 depending. There's a lot more french than anything at the place, not a big fan of the French sorry if I offended any of you Frenchies. I chatted up this 7-8 and worked out a deal, I actually as just wanting to party and was not able to par take in more for certain reasons so I negotiated like 1000pesos to hang out for the night and bar hop. She agreed. Well bar hoping here happens like a mob, everyone leaves at the same time and goes to the same bar. That happened shortly after negotiations and we were at the next bar had a drink and then it became time for her to go home. Ha ha. I was like what? It's been like 30min. Luckily I spotted another girl I liked so I gave her 500 and said fair well. Next thing you know the "police" comes in and says I have to step outside. I got outside and they said I owed her more money. Luckily for me they didn't take my beer away or even try to, those things are HUGE and mine was full so they lost all negotiation power right there. So just then my server friend walked up which helped because my spanish is not great. I told them there is no way I was going to pay it, k it's not about the money obviously in this instance I was actually having fun because I was still drinking. Anyway I started looking these cops over more and was like damn you're not a cop where the hell is your gun, my buddy explained there are police and there are tourist police and since I am a tourist I deal with tourist police. I just laughed and said lets talk to the real police. Just then one drove by, they spoke to fast for me to understand when I'm wasted but he just shook his head and kept on going. So they said I will have to go to the police station and with 1/2 a beer left I was like alright lets go! It was about 4-5 blocks away and we made it about half way before they finally gave up and said nevermind you can go back to the bar. Ha! I went back and had a great time with free drinks the rest of the night because the owner thought the story was so funny. I hit up some places in Santo Domingo also on the trip but the best night was meeting a girl from Badoo. Las Terranas was a Pretty cool town, everyone drives motorcycles and 4wheelers. I prefer Santo Domingo though.

Boca Chica (Girl's Mouth)"Small inlet (or "small harbormouth)" would be better. There is no intended reference to the fair sex here. The primary meaning of chico / chica in Spanish is "small". And only by extension to youngsters as an affectionate diminutive, like "littl'un" in England (if you can remembers your roots, Frannie).

Glad to see "PP" explained as meaning "Puerto Plata" (although the locals prefer "Pto Pta"). "POP" should be limited to the airport, which is much nearer Sosua.

The Spanish navigators had a tendency to name places by what they looked like. For example Boca Raton (rat's mouth) or Punta Gorda (fat point). Columbus named Puerto Plata because of the silvery clouds on top of the mountain-there are no silver mines. Compare also to Nevis (snows).

1. First stop at Santiago: Met with 3-4 people I had liaised with over the Internet. Went to use a cabana for the first time – Helios in Santiago. It was nothing to write home about both because of the person I was with and the place and if I recall, the place was not exactly cheap even though we used it for perhaps two hours at most.

2. Chose Alberto's Suites. It is called something else now, with new management but I liked the place and the price – 900 pesos per night.

3. Waiting for a person to show up near Utesa, I struck up a conversation with a woman waiting to go back home at the end of the classes but she flatly refused.

4. Went to Bilbao bar one night. Calle espana and found out about the deal. Salida of about 300 for the night.

5. Rented a car from Ace (Nelly). A more expensive Hyundai accent plus additional liablility. Turned out to be over $45 per day plus gas. The car sucked, had no power. Only one D position and the lower gears were unavailable. Gas is pricey. 215 pesos for a gallon of regular.

6. Montecristi: Out of Santiago: Had planned an itinerary from Santiago to San Jose de las Matas to Santiago Rodrigues to Dajabon to Montecristi doing the scenic route. The tract between San Jose and Santiago Rodriguez scared the shit out of me. Roads were dirt roads, full of pot holes and pebbles as the rain washes away the dirt leaving the pebbles exposed and there were deep ravines on the other side. The panorama was spectacular but with my eyes on the road and the shocks continuously being tested, I could not focus on that.

7. One morning, doing a country road, from Sabaneta to Los Almacigos, offered a woman a lift. Asked if she was in a hurry, she said 'no' and I proposed a slight detour to a cabana. So the trip got delayed by about a couple of hours.

8. Continued on and reached Dajabon and saw a pretty thing walking out of the salon. I stopped the car and wanted to know the direction to the city center. Praised her beauty on the first sentence and on the second one, if she would mind coming with me to a cabana. She smiled and said she had errands to run (deligencia) but told me I might just get lucky with others in town.

9. Somewhat deflated by the rebuff – was cruising the city center when noticed a nice thing at the door of a café. Waved at her and she waved back. To push further, I waved her over to me to which her lips puckered into a 'no puedo' (can't). On a hunch, I turned the car around and followed her on a scooter following an older man also on a scooter. They both wound up in front of the local university just a stone's throw away. I waited. Not sure of the role of the older man who left soon and I approached her but this time I got a strong 'no'. Did not push my luck too much. After all, a 'no' is a 'no' as we know it well. I turned around and found there were a couple of shacks selling beer and so decided I could do with a drink.

10. I got my drink and there she was back to the gate of the school parking her scooter again. So with some Dutch courage added (well one sip anyway) , I went to speak to her again. She was going back for her class and the old man was her dad. Long discussion on how much she would lose if she missed the class and we even went in, to see if one could buy the book and skip the class. Moral of the story, she opened the door and sat on the passenger's seat as we traipsed back to a cabana.

11. I had eaten earlier and that was a major mistake. This petite creature rode me non-stop for at least 20 minutes and I was finding it hard both on the stomach intent as I was on keeping myself hard as well as hard. Angelina did a great job but I do not know why she did not leave a phone number with me. Well, I always heard this kind of stuff happening to others. It actually happened to me and as you all know the serendipity of it all makes it so much more exciting compared to the planned / scheduled trysts.

12. Later around evening I reached Montecristi. First time, a girl invited me to her house so I got to see an actual place people live in. The mom apparently wanted to cook but I took Dad, mom, uncle, abuelo, aunt, young sister and cousins all to dinner by a seaside restaurant. The seaview in Montecristi was rather startling. I mean pleasantly. I had steamed fish and it tasted good. Enjoyed a good family dinner.

13. The area is quite arid. Often with cacti and similar. This is in sharp contrast to the areas in the center which is tropical. On the way back, I did the highway (well, let's not confuse it with our idea of highway) but at least it is a road with much fewer potholes. I was driving back from Montecristi when a cop (plainclothes) stopped me somewhere on the highway (the ubiquitous check posts) and wondered how I was. I had just stopped at a carwash and seeing the samples proffered, decided just to buy a beer and scoot. That beer was sitting next to me but what the'ya know, different country, different rule. The cop did not even blink at the bottle while I was squirming.

14. Bonao: What a lovely sight! It is in the valley and all around there are green mountains which can be pretty high. I had an invitation to go watch a movie with a woman in this 'mall' in Bonao. She turned up with her aunt. We saw batman and we went to eat dinner at 10 ish. Midway through the dinner, I started nudging the aunt's legs and she started responding. Oh. What is the matter with Bonao hotel prices?

15. Santo Domingo: The day after, I was with the original woman I was supposed to meet and moved on to Santo Domingo. For the first time. Stayed at Hotel Morada (good recommendation by Boricua online). Nice new hotel, clean and everything but I could not take the big city. Two days and I ran back – traffic, heat everything was unbearable. Oh. Manolo's place was a good place to eat.

16. Went back to Santiago for a couple of days and a Bonao woman made me work the way I have never worked in my whole life, not even when I was young. Talk about the sexiest part of the body. With one look or an expression, I would get hard. And finally, I was also able to have a tete a tete with the aunt I bumped into in Bonao. In another cabana! Check!

17. I went to Puerto Plata for the last leg. Met a couple of ISG members. With one I went for a ride in the car and wound up at Rio Verde bar and wound up sharing beer with 4-5 women on a slack afternoon, figuring out tamarind tree with its pods and other interesting flora (manzana de oro) and fauna of the DR. We also got a bunch of phone numbers driving up and down. The woman who served food at lunch came to see me at the hotel at around 4. 00 PM the same afternoon.

18. On a final note, I did the scenic route from Puerto plata back to Santiago to catch the plane. The ride was relaxed, it was a sunny day, the road was 80% paved but still with potholes and clearly the landslides destroy the roads which are then not repaired. The view was spectacular and I bought a bunch of fruits at the stands by the road.

19. In general, a good trip but as usual, the most exciting part is the 'unplanned' part. Rest is routine. It does not ever stop to amaze me that what would be considered an umbrage in most countries I know, is taken completely in stride perhaps even without much thought by the Dominican woman. Where else under the sun, you can bump into someone one second and the next line is ' what about a cabana visit' and I was not even in the touristy areas? No doubt, nothing is offered for free or at least I am not that smart to get to know those but nonetheless, God save the Dominican Republic for the future generation of males the world over.

Two days and I ran back – traffic, heat everything was unbearable. Oh. Manolo's place was a good place to eat.Translation, seems he struck out in Santo Domingo, ROTFLMAO. Regarding the heat being unbearable, the Caribbean is hot, more so in the Summer. Average high temperature for Puerto Plata for the month of August is 92 degrees fahrenheit (same average high as New Delhi, India for August). The average high temperature for Santo Domingo in August is 88 degrees fahrenheit.

Hotel Morada is a new chica friendly hotel, in a good neighborhood, with good air conditioning 24/7, costs $40US per night. Hotel Morada is an easy walk to at least 10 p4p venues and is an easy and safe walk to venues where freelancers and SWs can be found, no need to be in car driving in traffic during rush hour (this information has been posted a multitude of times). Roads are good in Santo Domingo, many with streetlights that are on throughout the night. If a person stays in Gazcue, where the hotel morada is located, it is an easy and safe walk to zona colonial, where there are numerous bars, restaurants, cafes, museums and other things to do. Near Hotel Morada are three large casinos where some pros hangout. Some roads get rush hour traffic. Later in the evening there is no heavy traffic. The metro train system also exists in santo domingo. Multitudes of beautiful women in santo domingo (GBP in Santo Domingo, two attractive women for $38US) how anyone can find any of this unbearable, is beyond me.

He gives no information as to whether he got casa de conductors insurance from Nelly Rent-A-Car Company. But, he is another ISG member who has rented a car in the DR and did not go to jail as a result of driving in the DR.

He doesn't say where he got the information for Alberto Suites in Santiago and doesn't give its new name or address (seems it is located at Calle Santome and Calle Vicente, about 5 blocks from the Monument).

Regarding road conditions, I like to see photos, especially if someone is highly negative about a particular road or highway (takes two seconds to take a photo of a road or highway).

Great report, enjoyed reading it, especially how you summed up things. Was thinking of visiting some of those villages / cities aswell so thank you for the detailled reports.1. Driving was fun but watch for people on motorbikes passing from the right. That did scare me some, especially at the beginning. I bought pricey third party liability but hopefully would never know how good the insurance is.

2. Now I know why there is an over-abundance of 4-wheel drive vehicles in the DR. Essentially you need "high clearance from ground" vehicles if you are trying to go "far from the madding crowd"- which to me was an essential element of enjoying the island, surprises included. Good shocks are another essential requirement.

3. If anyone is doing San Jose de Las Matas to Santiago Rodrigues via Moncion, I would recommned a) SUV or be) doing it part highway. Santiago to Mao. The road is regular there. That part was particularly bad in my regular sedan. The other tract that was bad (30 minutes of driving) was from the road that leads to Montecristi to Manzanillo. I was told the beach is pristine but was not impressed.

4. Having said that, I cannot praise some of the young people enough. In sabaneta, I caught a rock under the car. It was dark and I did not see and the rocks were there to prevent cars to get into a hole. I presume. In any case, the rock immobilized my car but a score of young people just lolling about jumped to my rescue. 5-6 people, lifting up the vehicle. Without jack or anything, got the rock that got stuck under. All this without even my asking for help. I could not be thankful enough for the kindness. I paid some money but that does not do much to compensate for the spontaneity I encountered.

Enjoy the beautiful island and people.

This part put a Huge smile on my face, LOL:

Translation, seems he struck out in Santo Domingo, ROTFLMAO.

I forgot to ask about casa de conductor and in any case, the places I was going to visit were far from santiago which actually has the casa de conductor. I also did not worry too much about jail. My first time driving in a chaotic place but if one is not drunk, is driving slowly and in daylight, it cannot be that difficult.

2. There is no board with the new name for ex alberto's suites but is the same location. Close to Av Francia and the monument.

3. It is not that I am scared of heat but my idea of a caribbean vacation is serene blue ocean and not staying stuck in after office traffic logjam. Which was my case one afternoon when I got there. As you astutely observed, no big deal finding women in the DR, so the casas in Santo Domingo were not much of an attraction for me. I must confess, I am taken by the beauty of Bonao. Dark green mountains around the valley. With rumbling storm cloud took my breath away.

4. I agree. A picture is worth a thousand words but I do not take photos.

Does anyone have contact info for Hotel Morada? I saw that Jaosousa posted some good information, but I would like either a link or address and telephone number. Also if any other members have stayed there, I would like to hear from them. Thanks, Sailor02

From downtown Jarabacoa go down the main drag near the bridge of the river "Yaqui".

Look to the right hand side of the road before crossing the river. There will be a bar / hotel with chicas hanging

Around. Enter at your own your own risk as this is not Sosua.

Also, cross the bridge over the Rio Yaqui turn right go about 1km in the curve to the right will be a small bar.

Enter at your own risk! Loose dogs, drunks & picaros.

These places are open only after dark.

I'm heading up to LT soon, and need a chica-friendly spot for a week or two. Previously stayed at Casas Del Mar Neptunia, but didn't feel comfortable bringing a female guest from Bodega bar. The whole vibe there seemed disapproving of chica guests.

I'm thinking of El Rincon De Abi or Cabana Esmeralda nearby. Does anyone know if they would they allow female guests overnight? Those two would be ideal but anything in the area will be considered.

Thanks

New York JFK to La Romana (LRM) , jetBlue, three hours and twenty minutes, flight landed 35 minutes early in la romana. Argo was one of the free movies offered inflight. No gangway for the airplane in la romana airport, walk down stairs off the airplane onto the tarmac. Sleepy little airport. Has a small duty free shop for arriving passengers, bought a carton of Marlboro cigarettes for $30US to give as a gift, asked for Baileys liquor, was told they were out, but they could send some from another shop in the airport, if I wanted to wait 5 minutes, instead I bought a bottle of Godiva White Chocolate liquor, $23US (750ml) most women like sweet alcohol type beverages. Checked luggage was waiting at the baggage carousel when I got there, fast.

I made reservations online with Alamo rent a car (on Alamo's website there is a discount code for Latin America for 20% off). I added the glass and tire insurance coverage and third party liability insurance from Alamo's website at the time of the reservation and the total price for the rental was $124US, for the time I was going to be in DR. Chose the Nissan Tilda, good little car, has some Giddy-up.

Alamo has no office at la romana airport, alamo sends a driver to the airport. Alamo has an office in casa de campo, the luxury gated complex in la romana. Security is very tight at casa de campo, security would not allow me to enter with the alamo worker to do the paperwork for the rental car and get the car. We had to wait outside the gates of casa de campo, while another worker drove the rental car to meet us and the paperwork was completed on the trunk of the car, just outside the gates to casa de campo.

Casa de Campo to La Romana is 5 minutes. I drove to Jumbo (similar to a super walmart in the US, sells food, electronics, clothes and stuff for the home and has other businesses there). Visited a Claro cell phone shop at Jumbo, gave the chica my unlocked Nokia E71 which I use for the DR, she said 155 pesos for a new sim card and phone number, presented my passport as well. Left my cell phone with her, walked 50 feet to Burger King, ordered a whopper meal. Returned to Claro, got my cell with the new sim card and number (I also had her put 250 pesos in minutes on the cell). Then bought soda, water and chips in Jumbo. Western Union is also in Jumbo, changed dollars for pesos at western union. Last thing in Jumbo was a visit to Farmax (pharmacy). Bought two name brand Lilly Cialis for around 800 pesos (around 400 pesos per pill). Then drove to the hotel to check in.

$70US per night hotel located less than 10 minutes east of the la romana airport (the town of la romana is west of the la romana airport). This hotel is adjacent to a golf course, very quiet location, breakfast and wifi included, good A / C and plenty of hot water (owned by a guy from Northern Italy). Room has a vaulted ceiling.

The public beach in Bayahibe (10 minutes from the hotel) has parking, restaurant and shops and is adjacent to a viva all inclusive hotel. European babes topless and some with g-string type bikinis at the beach in Bayahibe.

The new coral highway is open and is an excellent 4 lane road.

The chica in the miniskirt in Bayahibe was waiting for a bus (gua-gua).

On the main road when you enter San Pedro de Macoris, there is a Corripio electronics store. I was heading back to Santo Domingo on Sunday morning and stopped at the traffic light near the Corripio electronics store, standing there was an attractive 19 year old chica in a very short white miniskirt, cute face and nice body. I didn't see her hop onto on the motorcycle, but somehow they wound up in front of me (some motorcycle drivers seem to regard stopping for red traffic lights as optional). I saw a guy one night laying in the middle of road, not moving, appeared to be dead, when driving back to la romana one night, the police were there. I have seen about 5 dead persons in the street after accidents, since I have been visiting the DR.

I have visited san pedro de macoris over 30 times (over the last ten years) visit a home there on a narrow street, put about a 1/3 of the right side of the car up onto the sidewalk in front of the house, so other vehicles, especially trucks can pass.

I drove through Juan Dolio on Sunday morning. Marbella is a large new condominium complex that has opened since I was last there. A few others opened as well. I saw signs for a place called Vanessa, with photos of women in bras and panties, seems it is some kind of adult entertainment place (I saw about 4 small signs hanging from light posts advertising the place, as I drove through Juan Dolio). Seems it is located on the same street as where casa 21 was / is or maybe casa 21 became vanessa.

Seems Hilton no longer owns the hotel in Metro Country Club, it used to be called Hilton Embassy Suites Los Marlins. The new name is Los Marlins and seems some remodeling is being done to the place. Nice hotel in a nice location inside the gated Metro complex, which includes a golf course and luxury homes.

Brethern of the board! I've decided to break up my 3/22 to 3/31 trip to Sosua with side trips to Samana and Moca. Moca to visit a chica I met on online, Samana just to see the Penisula. My questions are. 1. I'd like to see Las Terranas, Las Galeras, and Samana Bay. Is LT close enough to the others for me to use it as a base and do the other two as a day trip? 2. Should I leave from Santiago, which is near Moca. Or is it easier to go to Samana from Sosua? I'll be taking a Caribe tours bus. Thanks in advance!

Thanks in advance!Day trip out of las terrenas to see other parts of samana, is definitely doable. Samana is not that big. Taking my time and stopping for gas and to take photos, I drove from las terrenas to the side road for playa rincon in about an hour or so, a number of years ago. The main roads in samana were good back then and since then they have built the boulevard of the Atlantic road which is scenic (has tolls).

I am fairly certain that caribe tours does not go to las terrenas, I checked their webpage and saw nothing for las terrenas.

A small guest house owned by an expat in las terrenas, has a webpage for her guesthouse and she gives information on how to take public transport to las terrenas, from different parts of the DR: http://www.fatamorganalasterrenas.com/Travelinformation.html

From her webpage: "Travelling in the Dominican Republic is easy if you have the right information. We are here to help you arrive in Las Terrenas, Fata Morgana. You can choose for a private taxi, an airplane or you can go by public transport. Most travellers that choose Fata Morgana will want cheap transportation, public transportation, buses and motocochos (mototaxis). If you choose for a taxi, an airplane, or private car do not hesitate to contact us. Santiago-Las Terrenas, It will take you about 3 hours, price more or less 8 Dollars US or 6 Euro. Time table below. Puerto Plata-Las Terrenas, this is a tricky one. There is only One direct bus from Puerto Plata to Las Terrenas, or as they call it La Terrena, (people in Samana do not pronounce the ss). This bus leaves Puerto Plata at 1:30pm and passes Sosua half and hour later and Cabarete 45 minutes later. For Sosua and Cabarete you will have to stand in the main road and flag it down. Look for a bus with Puerto Plata-La Terrena in the window. Time 3.5 hours, costs about 10US or 8 Euro. However, there are 2 buses in the morning, one called El Canario, at 6:00am leaving Puerto Plata, the other El Papagayo leaves half and hour later, 6:30am heading for Samana. You will have to get off the bus in Sanchez and take the guagua (local bus, usually a pickup truck) for the last half and hour over the hill (costs 2 us or 1 Euro)." See her webpage for more details.

Buscemi asked about p4p in La Romana. I have visited La Romana at night about 4-5 times in ten years. This past trip, about a week ago, I was wifed up with the longtime GF from San Pedro de Macoris, so I didn't have a chance to explore the nightlife in La Romana. My last trip to the DR prior to this one was was in May, 2012, when I spent a few nights in Bayahibe and Santo Domingo. In May 2012, I visited during the weekend of the Dominican Presidential elections. I drove alone the Saturday night before the presidential elections from Bayahibe into La Romana (about a 15 minute ride) and La Romana was a ghost town that night, no one was out and the bars were closed.

A few years ago I went out at night in La Romana 2-3 times and visited the following places: Klimax (now called Scores) nice venue with a medium sized pool, indoor and outdoor bars and some beautiful women, quoted prices started north of $100. I was a driving a rental car, so I paid a motoconcho guy to show me bars. He showed me a small local bar in La Romana called profesionales, where I met two sisters who I then invited to Marinellys cafe/bar, which is a nice place (I have previously posted photos of some of these venues). On another night in La Romana a motoconcho guy showed me fashion bar which was nice and then I was shown Urban Bar, Tony Bar and another similar type bar. Urban Bar was packed with locals, large bottles of president beer for 75 pesos with small plastic cups. Urban Bar had about 20 big ass bartenders in tight jeans who stand on plastic crates so their asses are visible above the bar counter. Some come down off the crates and exit the bar area to dance with and grind some customers. Across the street from Urban is Tony (named after the Scarface character). I was told that some of the female customers in Urban were available. I have been told that Deseo and Le Pusse Bar are two other places with pros, but I never visited either place. Bayahibe has a new casino called Pure with an attached bar/disco, which might get some pros some nights.

In regards to your post where you said about about having my medication adjusted, the pills I take on a daily basis are a multivitamin, vitamin C and two low dose aspirin (baby aspirin, 81mg). The TV personality Dr. Oz recommends that most people take two low dose aspirins per day, for a variety reasons. I saw the Dr. Oz show dubbed in Spanish on my last trip in the DR, he is popular in the DR. Doctor Oz performed surgery on my father many years ago at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, which is located uptown Manhattan, Washington Heights (sometimes referred to as Quisqueya Heights because of the large number of Dominicans who live in the neighborhood near that hospital). Milstein Pavilion at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital is stunning.

I get what you are trying to say in your post about having medications adjusted, is that you are saying I have mental health issues. ISG member Gogo also chimes in, less discreetly, by saying I am nuts and should go back to the insane asylum. Maybe it runs in the family, my grandfather died in an insane asylum in Scotland, UK and my mother received 28 shock therapy sessions for depression, at New York Hospital Payne Whitney. Your attempts at trying to insult my mental health doesn't bother me. There are medications that help people deal with mental health issues and people who make use of those medications should not be made fun of.

i too have spent some time in bayahibe / dominicus, last year i spent a week in dominicus in november and in august i spent a week in bayahibe. bayahibe and dominicus are two little seaside villages next door to each other, they are about a 3. 5 minute drive between the two and they are about a 15 minute drive east of la ramana. first bayahibe, its the jumping off point for tourists going to the saono island so many bus loads of tourists show up in this little village everyday to board speed boats taking them out to the island. there are a few restaurants and a handful of bars there, a resort but not much else but with that said there is some p4p action to be had but you have to look hard to find it. its a great place to get away from it all and if you want a change of pace from the hustle of boca chica or sosua. its a great place if you want to wife up and take a chica for a weekend getaway.

dominicus is next door to bayahibe and is a hair larger, which is not saying much but they do have a larger shopping area, several massage places along with bars and eateries. there is a casino with a disco attached to it in dominicus also. the p4p is more available in dominicus but still nothing like bc or sosua but for those of us that like it low key without the constant pressure and hustle then this is the place. i found that most of the girls in the massage places are available but they are not pushy so you have to ask them first but they usually say yes. the night life in dominicus is the casino and the attached night club but my experience was that the night club was usually dead except for the few tourists that came by and on ladies night which i forget what night that was. usually i had to find my girl during the day in town, if i waited until after sundown it got much more difficult.

thats because most of the girls that work in bayahibe and dominicus live in laramana and the last bus back there is around 6pm. bayahibe / dominicus is about 15 minutes east of laramana past the campo de casa. its about an hour and a half to get back to bc but for me that was too far to go back and forth to but with the new highway its only a 45 minute drive over to punta cana.

overall bayahibe / dominicus is a nice little quiet no pressure, no drama, no hard core chica place. if you like the dr but at a slower pace then this place is not bad for some low key mongering. i've attached a few photos of the bayahibe waterfront, no nude chica photos unfortunately.

curious after reading a report of a fellow forum member, i tried this place this last saturday, after good friday. the road was an excellent 4-lane highway and beyond the road, it is mostly sugarcane plantation (unlike the autopista connecting montecristi to santiago which seems to be going through all sorts of backyards). santo domingo to san cristobal and then on towards bani. i got off at the right place and then did the country road and finally came to the "rickety" bridges. it was a hot day and i saw the river had perhaps about 500 people in the water. loud music and young women (i mean the 13/15 year olds trying to impress their fellow male age group with dembow or whatever.

i trotted on, thinking, the beach would be better in terms of head count. when i finally got to the playa palenque, i was caught by serious surprise. the beach and the bars were inundated. there must have been at least a thousand people. perhaps more. of course i had judged badly. the long holiday weekend had brought a slew of people and cacophony to boot. by the way, the sand, if it is sand, is black. which was interesting. no one knew where to rent atvs. in the end, i felt like what a tuna feels like. faced with a school of undulating anchovies. completely lost with no knowledge of where to bite so i left.

i moved on to the next beach going back towards san cristobal and went to see the next beach upstream. the beach name i forgot but it was relatively better as i picked up two women heading to that beach. from villa mella of santo domingo. there were a lot less people and until we arrived no pick up truck with huge speaker blaring music which killed it again for me. the beach was regular sand here and fairly shallow with rocks protruding. i shared a beer with these chicks. one was 25 and nice but with the cousin around, i decided it was not worth it. the rest seemed plenty like family groups. by the way, the beach had a whole bunch of sea urchins so you want to have you shoes on once you get into water. the water temperature was very unlike capecod that i am familiar with. nice and warm.

after an hour on that beach, i started driving back and passed through many different towns, on the way back to san cristobal, pretty upset that i could not land a trick. at a certain place perhaps a couple of miles south of san cristobal, i passed by a bar with blaring music and a bunch of chicas lolling about. so i turned around and came back to check the place. i found the bar tender to be to my liking so started with sharing a beer and chatting up, was told that all the women were available as take outs (with bar fine). there was a cabana close by. i actually found two acceptable. but i was hooked on the bar tender. she after much heehaw, told me to check with the owner, if she could get a "sabbatical". well long story short, the owner was really nice, took me to show the cabana in his truck if i wanted to sleep the night there but could not allow that girl to leave as they had a bachata competition that night. in the meantime, i had gone out on the back of a young fellow who had a scooter to buy some fried chicken and tostone for all the girls as i was hungry and thought it would be nice sharing. quite sure the women do not make a heck of a lot of money in such neighborhood. end of story, i got a bunch of phone numbers, which would be of no use to me so in the end, i decided to scoot after checking out a few women physically. i mean they allowed me a glimpse of their upper body asset (i am a breast man. lol).

on a side note, i had to visit the bathroom a couple of times, thanks to the beer and realized what charles pooter meant when he was speaking of a typical domenican bar. but i liked the environment of people who are not well off having their bit of fun. an old man dancing all by himself. a young man dancing with good moves with a woman past her prime who had so much to drink that she was slurring. nice people, nice exposure to something i have not seen. almost felt like being margaret mead.

i drove back to santo domingo at night. via san cristobal, normal road. doing 30 de marzo which turns into malecon once you hit the capital and so drove all the way to gazcue area. had a cafe con leche at manolo and went to la morada, $40 bucks and went to sleep soundly. i was pooped after all that driving.

Stayed at Dreams Punta Cana it was ok it is a ai resort. The resort is 40 minutes from Higuey and Bavaro so taxis are $90 round trip either direction. If one does make this logistical mistake I suggest going to Higuey as it is more economically better by 50-25 dollars. The real game changer is if you come upon a local cabby from Higuey with some local #'s. Don't squander this opportunity you will be rewarded with fun fun fun. I was fortunate to get 2 local cabbies that were cool as fuck, they showed me around Higuey and when I didn't find what I wanted they called some ladies. One takes these dates to Copa Cabana. $25 gets you 2 condoms, towels, air conditioning, and in one of these rooms there was a hot tube. You enter the room, minutes later a bank teller slide thingy opens up you pay you don't have to go to any lobby to sign or any nonsense it was convenient. The bars in Higuey are what you expect just like Bavaro except cheaper and filled with locals. I pulled a chica the price was $100 for 2+ hours. I can't deal with loud music, so loud that I could not scream loud enough to be heard into one chicas ear when I wanted to ask prices. It seems these bars have their music really loud too bad (am I just getting old complaining about loud music?). Did venture out to bavaro ended up at pachy pachy's $120 for 1.5 hours plus $40 to the fat slimy manager to extend my time 30+ minutes. This club has improved their stock of girls, it looks like a shit hole it is a shit hole but they have some stunners.

Where are the best towns, provinces or areas in DR for just the normal non-pro scene where the area is NOT know mainly for prostitution and much tourism?

If you speak Spanish and have game you can go anywhere. If you don't have game (or don't believe such a thing exists) money will do nicely instead. And not an awful lot of it, either. But as Mr Enternational says, reasonable Spanish is essential away from the tourist areas.

Prostitution is widespread all over the country but, to use your words, nowhere wants to be "known" for it. Behave discreetly.

And that X factor is called game. The gift of gab. I can talk a zebra out of his stripes or sell a pussy to a punk.

But come to think of it, isn't the OP one of those guys who comes to the forum with 1000 questions but never posts a field report?

Hi Fellas!

First time going to DR and I'm going to Samana for a week in December the 20th. I know Sosua is much better for hookers but I choose Samana because of the beauty of the location. I need any help, tips, recommandation as to how to proceed in DR and where should I go in Samana? I have a contact but he lives in Santo Domingo which is 5 hours to Samana I've been told.

Any help would be vastly appreciated!

Thanks!

Took a day trip to San Francisco with two buddies who live in Sosua. One knew some women there, pros from Sosua, the other knew the bus route. I wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to see a different part of the country. Multiple amigos have told to expand out of Sosua. LOL. Anyway, took a publico from Sosua all the way up to San Juan. We negotiated 500 pesos to have the car to ourselves with no stops. I think normally it would've been 50 pesos apiece. In RSJ we paid 200 pesos each for a bus ticket to San Francisco. Dude drove like a race car driver! I'm glad I was in the back seat! We got to Rio San Juan en an hr! I can see why the DR has a high rate of road fatalities. There's some resorts and condos out there between Sabaneta and RSJ. I seen a number of older gringos and gringos driving. Forget that! LOL. I'm not driving here.

We had two hrs to kill, so we wandered about town and had brkfast. And beer! LOL. From what I saw Rio San Juan is a regular Dominican town. I didn't see any clubs. I'm sure it's no Sosua! LOL! Lots of small shops. I'm not sure if there's a beach.

The Caribe Tours bus arrived 15ins before departure. I guess their known for their punctuality. The bus had large seats, very comfortable, and like everyone says, the A / C was booming! LOL. Passed through some decent looking towns, don't know all the names. In Nagua there's a lot of rice paddies. Interesting.

Got to San Francisco in about two hrs. The girls were suppose to be waiting but weren't. We walked over to Burger King while making phone contact and finding out what was going on. We passedsome street vendors selling cheap food, chicken plantens, mangu, just like en Sosua. But we went to bk and had 330 peso combo meals.

I guess I'll spare you guys the blow by blow. The girls showed up with a driver, who we kept all day though I tried to get rid of him because I knew it wasn't "cool" like one guy kept saying. They have a very nice 3 bedroom house, they say it's 10000 pesos per month. Very nicely decorated. There are a lot of new apt buildings and small houses in that area. W walked around and looked. Very nice. A lot of motos, but very few moto conchos. Apparently San Francisco is a wealthier area and people can afford pasolas. I seen a few range rovers and bmws. Lots of resturants that appeared nice. No obvious putas, though I have To believe they are there somewhere. We bought a bottle of marcois? And a bottle of brugal. We drank and danced and had a good time. They broke out a hookah, which I guess is big in that part of the country. Then we went to la sierna, where we spent too much on groceries and more liquor. Dinner was good. We went out for more drinks and a another hookah. Ended up spending the night in a cabana after negotiating an rate for Tln.

In conclusion. 1. An expat could live very well for cheap in San Francisco. There's not many gringos, we didn't see one, so there's not the comradarie of Sosua. It would be an adjustment. Theres a movie theater and a golds gym, but no beach. Only rivers. I guess you meet some "non pros" over time. I'm not sure how many dominicanas really want to date a gringo.

2. Enough with the date the hooker BS! LOL. We spent a lot on food and drinks, and a taxi driver who drove a range rover and wouldn't go away, and guess what? Drumroll. I still had to pay to play! LOL. But I did have a good time, and I'm glad I saw San Francisco, if only for a day. Brother reporting!

Nice Golf course overlooking the ocean. Golfing is cheap and comes with caddies. I always rent a car.

There are many all inclusive resorts there. After Golf me and one mongering buddy went looking for girls. We went to a resort which has a casino. Did not see any P4p girls there. However had a good time drinking and dancing with a group of graduating girls from Canada who were booked there for a week.

Came back to my resort and tried talking to an employee there asking about girls. He made some phone calls and asked us to go meet the girls at local gas station. The guy cautioned us saying girls are not allowed back in the resort. Anyway there were about 12 girls to choose from. At least 6 were pretty. We selected two and asked them where to go. They took us to a nice looking house, well furnished obviously a brothel. Bedrooms are clean and nice. They provided us with some food and drinks. Did the deed and the girls were real GFE. I believe we only paid 1500 pesos each and some money for the drinks. We spent roughly 4 hours with them and even could have slept all night there but we had a golf outing early in the morning.

Compared to Sosua RSJ girls were very nice. Do not know if there are nice hotels apart from the resorts.

There are SWs standing outside at all time of day, of course more after dark. They also walk back and forth between that store and the bar around the corner (you'll hear loud music blasting). Not sure if that fits your requirement of being "discrete" though, picking up hoes off the street!

Where are you staying? There is a cabaña about half a mile up the main road.

Staying at Costa Caribe Coral.

During some research, I found a bar / club called "Vanessa" that is supposed to have action.

By "discreet," I mean I'd take them to a Cabana.

Anyone been here before?

There is a clothing optional resort, and fully inclusive, in Abreu, next to La Playa Grande. I looks to be about a 1 hour drive from Sosua. When I was bouncing around some links I seen they have some swinger nights.

I couldn't find it again, but one website was talking about hardcore swaps, softcore swaps, and I think fantasy swaps. So if you brought a chica you could maybe come out with chica swapping, or group sex or something.

I don't see any scheduled this year, but last year they had a couples only clothing optional swingers cruise that lasted a few days and actually went to a few different Island nations.

I think it would probably be mostly older people that I wouldn't want to be swapping my chica for. At least if I bring a hot looking chica she could roam around topless or fully nude if she wanted to, she would probably would too.

They had a building on their map called "The Erotic Playhouse", like people in this indoor place can just go screwing in front of everyone if they wanted. Something I don't think I'd partake in unless I seen something worth while, and the chica I bring was OK with it.

Also if you book 6 or more nights they will actually pick you up from just about any airport, even Santo Domingo, just the airport in Punta Cana.

Their website isn't so informative, but so here are some other links and also a safe for work Youtube video. Lastly if you have an RCI membership you can use it there also.

They also have a location in Tampa Florida, but this is about the one in the DR.

Monti Cristi Synopsis.

Gentleman I just completed a trip to Monti Cristi from Santiago. This trip was an extension of my most recent Sosua-Santiago excursion. Since the trip was impromptu day tripwith no plans or agenda the information contained is not as exhaustive as I would like it to be however I hope for most it will suffice. This synopsis will cut to the meat of my experience in Monti Cristi for those who are not interested in reading the entire Santiago trip report.

I have not read any PFP information on Monti Cristi but like most urban centers in the Dominican Republic there is more than enough PFP for those who know where to look. Below I have listed my notes for your review.

The City:

Monti Cristi was one of the original settlements of the Spaniards after Christopher Columbus discovered the island of Hispanola. It is on the north west part of the Dominican Republic and about 15 minutes from Haiti. Monti Cristi is currently famous fishing, eco-tourism and the reefs on its beeches. It sits on Monti Cristi Bay which flows into the Atlantic Ocean.

Transportation:

Gonett Tours Expresso from Santiago to Monti Cristi which was about a 1 1/2 hour ride for 200DOP.

Caribe Tours from Monti Cristi back to Santiago for 200DOP and it was a much more comfortable ride than the Expresso I took coming. The bus driver asked ME for my passport after I gave him my ticket but I think he was trying to shake me down and I just blew him off.

Monti Cristi Beach Hotels:

The below listed hotels would be outstanding for dates because they provide excellent vista views of the Monti Cristi beech which is on Monti Cristi Bay.

Hotel Restaurant Maribella faced the beach and had a restaurant and rooms between 1000-2000DOP.

Hotel Restaurant Maribella was across the street from Hotel Restaurant Maribella and it faced the beach also, rooms between 1000-2000DOP.

Chic Hotel and Brisa Resturant: (Avenieda Benito Monicon)

The Chic Hotel was a quiet hotel that was next to the sister restaurant Brisa which was an outdoor open air venue covered by an awning.

My room was comfortable with a king size bed and 24 inch flat screen television. There was WIFI in the lobby and restaurant but not in the rooms. The staff was professional and helpful.

Car Washes Monti Cristi:

Monti Cristi is like many urban centers in the Dominican Republic where car washes serve as PFP venues also. The below were the only 2 car washes reported:

Ma Natay Calle Pablo Duarte (Calle Principal)

Ma Natay has a car wash next to a bar that is under a pavilion. The music was salsa and bachata that was so loud it was deafening. The talent was mostly 6's about 4 chicas appeared to be working.

The salida was 500DOP and whatever you negotiate with the chica I was told they were going for 500DOP.

El Terrazo Progresso Pablo Duarte (Calle Principal)

El Terrazo has a car wash next to a bar that is under a pavilion like Ma Natay. These 2 car washes are approximately 50 yards from one another and you can walk between them easily. The music was strangely enough Mexican Mariachi. The talent was mostly 6's about 6 chicas appeared to be working all were on the thick side no flacas for me.

The salida was 600DOP and whatever you negotiate with the chica I was told they were going for 500DOP.

Cock Fighting Monti Cristi:

There is a small stadium that sits between Ma Natay and El Terrazo car washes where they cock fight. The entrance to the stadium is 200DOP where everyone surrounds the dirt floor and the roosters fight one another. As rowdy as everyone was there I would like to see PETA representatives come to Monti Cristi and try to put a stop to the cock fighting. On a serious note it was quite brutal watching one rooster peck the hell out of the other. I watched for about 15 minutes and I had enough.

The chica stroll in Monti Cristi:

Calle Ocho is the main hang out spot for Monti Cristi it is at the corner of Calle Colon &Duarte. Motos and cars line the street and there is a dance club at the corner. There were a couple of groups of chicas sitting together that appeared to be working.

It was reported to me that this is one of the primary freelance spots in the city and I saw a few 7's but it started raining and the power went out a couple of times which killed the entire vibe.

Avenida Benito Moncion is the area in front of the Chic Hotel, it is the chica stroll after midnight I saw a few chicas strolling earlier but it started raining and everything shut down for the night.

La Comida Monti Cristi:

• Breakfast at Cocomar Resturant which faces the Monti Cristi Bay with a mellow breeze and rocking chairs while you eat.

Scrambled eggs with onions and tomatoes along with pork chops and toast.

• Lunch at Cocomar again.

Baked Moro, sautéed potatoes and salad 600DOP.

• Dinner at Brisa Resturant which has an outdoor and indoor part. I sat outside because it was reported this was a major chica stroll but I only saw a couple before it started raining and the power went out twice after which it was restored by the generator.

Chicken soup tasted like sancocho 150DOP.

Monti Cristi closing thoughts:

I am considering retiring in the Dominican Republic therefore this excursion was right up my alley because it gave me an opportunity to see and experience a part of the country that few people talk about. My objective is to see as much of the Dominican Republic as I can before I make my final decision.

Below I have listed my thoughts on Monti Cristi:

• One of the highlights of any Monti Cristi trip would be the vista view of the Monti Cristi beach and bay which is very natural.

• I would definitely recommend Monti Cristi as a day trip if you like pristine beeches and a town that is tan tranquilo. It would be even better with a date.

• There is plenty of fresh fish and sea food to be had because the town sits on the water.

• PFP is available in Monti Cristi but I would not travel there solely for that purpose because the only sex venues I could find were the car washes. I could not find any casa de citas.

• There are plenty of chicas available. I asked a moto concho to find me a flaca and he brought back a woman that was cute but not too flaca. She was ready and willing but I was not.

• There are freelancers who work the clubs and the streets however on my visit I got rained out so that put the fire out on my flame.

• Monti Cristi had the small town feel like Cheers where "everybody knows your name" where people speak and greet one another as common courtesy. I thoroughly enjoyed not being treated like a tourist.

• From the mongering standpoint the trip was a failure but from the personal goal standpoint of exploring different parts of the Dominican Republic I am satisfied.

The report is one of two other companion synopses on Santiago & Sosua.

I left Hotel Barcelo 4/18. Took a cab to calle barahona and took a transportante las terrenas bus to las terrenas. 350 pesos, a / c and wifi. Pretty comfortable. Not as comfortable as caribe tours. It was packed because of semana santa. Appx 2. 5 hrs. Got off at the cemetary and walked to casa de neptunia. Nice hotel, great people, but a little basic. Las terrenas is beautiful! Appx 2 miles of sand and pretty blue sea! Lots of hotels accross from the beach. There is even a little boardwalk. The main clubs are la bodega, replay and Gaia. But there are others. Its not sosua. No putas every where. But it was semana santa. But its not sosua! No one asked me for money, or buy me beer. That was nice! There were lots of chicas, but most with dates. Alot of the chicas in the stores and resturants were flirtin. Might pursue next trip. Took a haitian out of la bodega. She was fun. We danced an drank. Good performer. Hoping to see more girls next time. On the way back ended up on a regular gua gua. I got there at 8:20 for the 9am bus, but it was gone! Had to catch my flight so I got on the gua gua. They pack that thing! When all the seats are full the have little boards that stretch across and they seat people in the middle! LOL. Crazy, but not bad. Everyone was friendly. Dropped me iff on las americas. I grabbed a cab to the airport. The driver was amused that a gri go had been on the guagua.

camaro's synopsis of nagua.

gentleman i just completed a trip to nagua from sosua. this trip is a continuation of my travel odyssey throughout the dominican republic, it is my intention to see as much of the island as possible so i can decide which part is most suitable for me to live. since there is little written on nagua i had no plans or agenda and went off what little information i had. this synopsis will cut to the meat of my experience in nagua and it will be the companion to my sosua june 2014 update.

nagua:

nagua is the capital of maria trinidad snchez province, on the north coast of the dominican republic and it lies between puerto plata and samana. it is a town of approximately 30,000 people 3 times the population of sosua. it has a beach on the atlantic ocean but is most noted for its agriculture rice coconuts and beans. the area lies below sea level which makes it vulnerable to flooding.

transportation to nagua from sosua.

transportation cost to nagua were all over the map:

regular taxi: $100.00 us or 4200 dop.

my taxista: 2500 dop.

carro publico: 1800 dop.

guaga: 250 dop.

i did not want to take the guaga because i was told it leaves at 7 am and i have only one word for leaving at 7 am not!

originally my taxista agreed to the trip for 2000 dop then he changed it to 2500 dop. i talked to el rey and he said i could get a deal at the publico stand in sosua. the publico driver started at 1500 dop then when up to 1800 dop don't ask me why maybe it's the gringo tax so i said wtf vamos.

we left sosua at 1245 hrs and arrived in nagua at 1405 hrs. i could best describe the ride as a roller coaster. dude drove like a bat out of hell and he only slowed down for the few towns were there were speed bumps. i reached for my seatbelt and guess what? yes sir not! this guy would swerve and weave like it was in the indy 500. every time he would cross the center line to pass i regretted not saying my prayers before i left. anyways i arrived safe in one piece.

transportation from nagua to sosua.

i checked into the different ways to return to sosua and found that carribe tours has station in nagua however they only go to santo-domingo so if i were to take them that would be a 3 hour ride south to santo-domingo and a 4 hour ride north to sosua. it would be scenic but not time efficient.

i checked a taxi who wanted 3800 dop.

i chose the gua gua route from nagua to rio san juan then rio san juan to sousa. the first leg was 240 dop and the last leg was 250 dop. economically you can't beat it although at times the ride was uncomfortable due to the number of passengers. the gua gua can seat about 15 people comfortable but at times there were over 20 people on board.

the most fascinating thing about the trip was the conductor and how he maneuvered the passengers to get the maximum out of the minimum space. he would bang on the roof when he wanted to stop and he ran a tight ship. dude had me rolling hitting on the bonitas that came aboard he was a real tigre. i left nagua at 0830 hrs and arrived in sosua at 1130 hrs.

*ironically although i did not want to get up early to make the trip to nagua from sosua when i returned to sosua the early option was the most economical.

hotel sinai.

i got a suite which is the bomb! you walk in the room with a kitchen and dining area then you walk in the bedroom which is humongous. there is a jacuzzi and king size bed i think i am going to enjoy my stay here.

the wifi is good and the air-conditioning is decent. the staff is very professional and welcoming but nobody speaks english. how ya like dem apples!

hotel sinai-restaurant.

the service in this place is off the chain! so i get the garlic fish (moro) with vegetables and sauted potatoes which was muy sabroso. after i paid the 350 dop the waiter bring me dessert that i did not order i was like wtf? anyways it is called pan de mais, the top was sweet corn and raisins and the bottom was light cake and it was delicious! i would have never thought that corn would taste that good. the waiter was on point waiting on me hand and foot!

las playas nagua.

there are two major beaches in nagua, playa de gringos and playa poza de bojolo. both beaches are side by side, they are public beaches that are used by locals and people from other parts of the area like sosua beach. i noticed no pfp traffic when i was there however the high traffic day is sunday's.

el malecon.

parque central is the center of town and where most of the action in nagua is. if you are in parque central and hear waves crashing it is coming from the malecon. there is an unfinished road on the malecon that boarders the beach.

parque central calle sanchez.

parque central is the main hang out spot in nagua. it is busiest on saturday nights and sunday afternoons and evenings. i was surprised to find it very slow on friday night. the park is a 5 minute walk from hotel sinai but please don't ask me for directions because very few of the streets are marked, in fact i got lost and if it wasn't for a friendly moto i would still be walking in circles.

parque central has the below listed venues in the area along with colmados and street food:

alba bar & hotel.

atlantic sports bar.

iwmi bar.

bar 607.

nagua casa de cambio.

another place that is within a 5 minute walk from the hotel is bienes casa de cambio where i received a good rate of 43.1 dop-1 us. as much of the area i cannot give directions due to the absence of street signs.

nagua car washes.

nagua is like many dominican towns that have car washes that serve as bars and pfp venues. they offer dancing and sometimes karaoke. the chicas sometimes actually work at the car wash or other times they a freelancers. the below listed car washes are the 3 major nagua car washes and ironically enough they are all on the same street (avenieda maria trindad sanchez) less than 10 minutes from each other. each has a 500 dop salida and you negotiate with the chica the amount of time and the tarifa averages 1500-2000 dop for whatever amount of time you agree on. there are no rooms at these car washes so you can choose your hotel room or a cabana.

steve's car wash.

atlantic car wash.

el coco car wash.

nagua casa de citas.

i was told there are many casa de citas in nagua in non descript houses. i visited the below listed casas:

montevelli in barrio nueve *no one could tell me the name of the street it was on.

there was a bar with a dj playing bachata and salsa. there were plastic chairs that surrounded the wall with chicas sitting around some with clients and others by themselves. there was no salida you paid the house 2000 dop for tln. the chicas live at the location but i do not know if the rooms were available for service therefore you either could take the chica to a cabana or your hotel.

hotel patio espanol- calle sanchez.

there was a bar i don't recall any music. there were plastic chairs that surrounded the wall with chicas sitting around looking bored and there were no clients when i was there. there were rooms in the back but i was told it was best to go to your hotel or cabana. i was originally quoted a salida of 500 dop but i only wanted the chica i chose for st so i paid 200 dop. the chica asked for 3000 dop but i think she thought i wanted tln but we settled on 2000 dop for 2 hours. i am sure the tarifas are negotiable with the other chicas.

pfp in nagua.

i would not recommend nagua as a pfp destination. nagua is like any other dominican city where pfp exist however from what i observed of the talent in the car washes and casa de citas the best of nagua were not in those venues. in fact most of the women i saw in those venues were 5-6's with maybe a couple of 7's.

nagua pfp prices were typical for the rest of the dominican republic ranging from 1500 dop - 3000 dop depending on the venue and the provider. i travelled all over the city and although i saw many women walking i would not identify any of them on the stroll like you would see at the monument in santiago or santo domingo's avenieda indepencia.

i walked around parque central and although i saw naguas best none appeared to be working, they were travelling from one venue to another and not walking in circles trying to make eye contact the way many pfp chicas do.

cabana benidor.

cabana benidor is on autopista nagua a sanchez 2 minutes from casa montevelli and 5 minutes from casa hotel patio espanol. it was the usual cabana set up you drive into the garage put your 600 dop in the turn style and do your thing. they provided 2 condoms and sent us up more as needed. i only stayed 2 hours but i guess it's a 4 hour stay.

the rooms weren't that great the tv had snow and the room had a dreary feeling to it. it was no sosua dulce secreto that's for sure.

la mejor de nagua.

the best of nagua comes out on saturday and sunday nights in parque central. what a difference a day makes, on friday when i was there it was dead but the rest of the weekend it was off the chain! parque central had a santiago pueblo nuevo feel on satuday & sunday without the danger. it was very festive and vibrant you could high off the energy alone not to mention the eye candy. i enjoyed the vibe with people sitting on park benches and walking leisurely around the park. it should be noted that none of the venues i will mention are sex venues, perhaps you can get pfp however my impression was all these were normal clubs.

join me as i walk around the park:

drink the park liquor store.

there were plastic seats outside and music was blasting from a dj mostly bachata and some reggaton. along the sidewalks there were motos, motorcycles and pasolas all lined up like a parking lot.

traffic.

i saw all types of vehicles pass buy including a range rover, cadillac escalade and mercedes suv. i thought "wtf?" the policia nacional rode by in their truck with lights flashing as well as on their motorcycles 2 to a bike. occasionally somebody on a motorcycle or car would flex squealing tires doing wheelies or other reckless driving. i guess this is the place and the time to flex.

food carts with street food.

there were several food carts some selling hot dogs other hamburgers and others chicken. i tried one of the hamburgers and it was great.

alba bar& hotel.

this is one of the best spots in nagua. it is an open air bar with hotel in the back. the back is covered with a small dance floor. the dj plays typical latin music and regardless as to how crowded it was people would dance in the isles it was quite festive.

atlantic sports bar.

this is an open air venue with a semi circle bar and tables and chairs that perimeter the outside. in the back were several pool tables and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.

607 bar.

is a traditional indoor venue with security outside that pats you down before you go in. it is small with a small dance floor with tables surrounding the walls and the dance floor.

iwmi bar and lounge.

another traditional indoor venue with security outside that pats you down before you go in. it is small with a small dance floor with tables surrounding the walls and the dance floor.

las mujeres.

there were all shapes and sizes a lot of 6's a few 7&8's with 1 or 2 9's that would make you want to slap your mama. none of these women had the sousa i'm hungry look in fact some seemed to be in the own world. a few women would be in groups of 2 or 3 but most were with 1 or 2 men. there were others that were obviously paired up and out for a date night. another thing i noticed is the going back and forth between groups with both men and women. it was difficult at times to tell who was with anyone because sometimes they were in constant motion.

danger.

after 30 years in le you learn how to spot concealed weapons; there were a few from knives to pistols, however at no time did i feel unsafe. my impression was the weapons were carried for defense and not offense. there was no apparent hostility between any one and it actually had the feel of one big block party. not only did i not feel unsafe the vibe was so vibrant i felt high off the energy of the place.

in short you have not experienced nagua until you have experienced parque central on the weekend.

final observations on nagua.

my nagua excursion was intended to be more of a fact finding mission than an opportunity to knock down a bunch of chicas. my concern about living in nagua in retirement is that it is reportedly under sea level and therefore subject to major flooding during hurricanes. my other concern is that socially there is not much to offer other than on the weekends so i would defiantly need a novia or esposa if i were to live there.

so far my travels have brought me to santo domingo and santiago which are major cities with major city problems that i am not certain if i want to deal with in retirement. punta cana bavaro was too commercial, like sosua on steroids. boca chica imho felt like the armpit of the dominican republic one step behind sosua. cabarette was a very nice town although touristy not overly so, sorta of a sosua light that was a lot cleaner and less gritty. la romana was a gritty mid-size city that was vibrant and alive. monte cristi was like mayberry a small town with a small town feel. nagua was a cross between la romana without the gritty feel and monte cristi without the mayberry feel.

nagua has some beautiful woman, of course it is no santo domingo or santiago but some of the women i saw were nothing less than gorgeous. however most of the women were quite average and nothing to write home about.

my experience with the women was limited. i did 1 pfp from a casa which was great sex. i met 3 chicas at parque central sitting on a bench and i was trying to entertain all 3 but there was only one i was interested in. my conversation was real light because it did not appear as if they were pfp, before i could get to deep a car pulled up with tinted windows and they jumped and had to go. i have no idea if it was a novio or what the situation was as the windows were tinted.

the women in clubs as previously stated were occasionally in groups but more often than not they were with one or more men. they also went back and forth which made it difficult for me to discern who was with whom.

i did some exploring on my own but most of my time i was with a relative of my colleague. he was married and not into the social seen. he took me to the venues but had no inside connect so it was difficult for me to know who was who and what was what.

i would definitely recommend nagua not as a mongering excursion but a place to experience something different. the best time to go would be saturday & sunday. it would be good to travel with a wing or with a chica because you could do the beach during day and party at night in parque central.

hotel sinai is an excellent location and 5 minutes walk from parque central. everything you need from a pharmacy, liquor store, colmado etc is within minutes. the area felt very safe even at night.

my next trip will be a sosua-las terrenace excursion the last week in july. the las terrenace trip will be different from the nagua trip because i will have a map due to the other trip reports to the area that have given me some insight. i will document my findings for your review when i return.

The most fascinating thing about the trip was the conductor and how he maneuvered the passengers to get the maximum out of the minimum space. He would bang on the roof when he wanted to stop and he ran a tight ship. Dude had me rolling hitting on the bonitas that came aboard he was a real tigre.Superb post, Camaro. Lots of solid and well-written information about a fresh location.

Those cobradors can be very entertaining. They are also skilled and knowledgable, packing people in to maximise revenue, moving people about and remembering where they all need to get out. And, as you say, charming the ladies (from 12 to 92) and indulging in friendly banter with pedestrians and other drivers.

I grew up in the post WWII years in a small town in England. In those days tradesmen and public officials were all individuals with their own eccentricities, interesting or funny anecdotes and stores of local knowledge. That has all gone now in these bland and politically correct times. It is one of things I like about the DR.

Camaro's synopsis of Nagua.Enjoyed the bus ride part enormously. Also the spirit of going beyond the usual, despite the handicap of the language. Kudos! BTW, You may have another career ahead of you. Being the chronicler of your journeys. I mean you obviously must be taking down notes of places and their names along with your thoughts. Much appreciated.
