Was in Chesterfield's yesterday - didn't see anyone who looks 16... mayde she was busy with customer. they do have a few chicas with nice bodies, but the avg. quality is way down from a year ago. the same seems to be true for other bars. Stopped by Carolina, Monaco, Black/White, the bar next to black/white, a few bars across the street, and Papa Ciga. quality is 6-7, a few 8s. the back alley chicas are mostly full-figured (what i'm sure locals like)
prices quoted from $30 to $50. $5 in the bars on te main street, and $40 and $30 in the back alleys. TLNs offered for $200/300.

Chesterfield girls work 6pm to 6am and from what they told me don't work back door really. I was told you cannot TLN Chesterfield girls, unless I misunderstood our conversation in spanish which is possible.

I found a few hidden gems in 4 brothels that i went into. Chesterfields, the others were on the other side streets, American, the other two are on the farthest street where you are exiting that general area. The bars across from one another. I was fortunate in that I was picking up one girl at the clinic where there were 50+ girls standing around waiting for their rides. Got a bit of info on where a couple hot ones i saw worked. In the afternoon, you won't see all the girls behind the bars and in the evening you may miss someone who is in back room. So I tried getting there right when they were opening to see who all was working that night. Timing plays a big part on catching the hottie. I had two other guys waiting for the girl i was with in Chesterfields because she was so much better than any other girl in aruba. I am just glad I walked in before them (TIP go there when all the other places close and the girls are working the alleys..everyone is trolling in their car, when a beauty was sitting in chesterfields waiting for me :)

Chesterfields quality has gone down since last year. and far too many customers at ALL TIMES. no real chance to "feel" the chica out. if after one drink you don't immediately take them to the room, they move on to the next customer.
Back street action - often scary. not in the sense of danger, but scary to look at some who work there.
Bartenders - except one cool guy at Papa Ciga, the rest are total bitches (especially female bartenders.) always trying to rip you off with change in florins, and often rushing from the room. in order to avoid some of them, i called for "appointment" before bars open. unrushed service, and no bar fines/chica drinks. stay in the room as long as you want (with payment)
Ron Menta bar - totally crazy prices. red bull $5, while it's $3 elsewhere. Room - 15 floring, un-freaking-believable.
Had to make appointments with chica early. bar's open until 4am - no "back door" in after-hours there. Chicas are very nice, but asking $50. but i had best gfe tere, so it was WORTH it. Looks like Michelle (of Curacao fame) is not coming there this summer :(
Memorable chica: Vanessa (5'2" dark hair, med-size implants, from Bucaramanga) from Papa Ciga (on the last block, if you going down the main street the bar's on the adjacent street to the left, where trafic goes the other way) Bar closes early, around 11-11:30, by midnight she's in the back. asking price 50florins/$30
Tried to look for Bucci bar - didn't find it.... i didn't look closely on the street next to refinery - it seemed totally dead.
If anyone has english lessons for spanish peakers on CDs, if it's not too much work please drop a copy for Channara from Carolina bar. i promised her a cd, but didn't have the files on the new laptop. She's not top flight, but cool when not drunk. too bad she's drunk too often.

Great map! I cropped and highlighted the area of interest. I generally cruise ALL of the little alleys and backstreets within the black boxed area. Little bars, brothels and chicas can be found almost anywhere within that area. Cruise slowly and try to look into every door and window you see.
Happy surprises show up in the oddest places!

Went with some family to Aruba for a week. Becoming a yearly trip. I had a chance to sneak down to San Nicolas twice. Here are the highlights.
Wednesday night about 12:30am. Clocked the time and from the main downtown area where Iguana Joe's is and near the cruise ship docks, it took me 26 minutes to get to Chersterfields. I drove pretty fast, and there was a small detour on the main road 1A.
I had never been in Chesterfields, so that was my first stop. I hate having to buzz in. No big deal, but I am always solo, and want the least attention possible. When you hit the doorbell, of course the whole bar turns to see who is coming in. There were about 15 guys sitting at the bar and at tables. Some frat guy types together which I thought was different. There looked to be 6 girls tops. None of them were more than 6. I walked up to a couple girls at the bar who looked drunk / bored / miserable and they both muttered something along the lines of "hey baby, I suck you so good" without even looking up. I gave the bartender (scaring looking SOB) a little nod as if to say, this is not my scene, and he buzzed me back out.
So I drove the rest of the way down the main drag and when I got near the end, I saw 5 girls scantily clad all standing outside the bar Black and White. They were waving at cars and making faces, and just kinda being playful. Strange, but I liked it. So I circled through the back alley and parked on a side street and headed up that way. When I entered Black and White, there was ONE other guy sitting at the bar with two different girls hanging all over him, and 4 other girls sitting together at the far end. I sat in the middle and ordered a Red Bull. $3. Asked the bartender if it was a slow night, he agreed to what I already knew.
The onslaught begins. The darkest skinned girl and least attractive in the face of the four girls at the end of the bar made a beeline towards me. Started rubbing my shoulders, calling me handsome young man, etc. I was just not interested, but I am way to nice to just say it. So we chatted for a while, she made her sales pitch (pussy so tight, so wet, sucks so good, will give me best massage, etc), and I just smiled and told her I was just gonna hang out for a while. She eventually smiled and said "okay, baby" and actually walked out the front door.

I didn't want to get stuck with either of the other girls between us wanting to chat for 10 minutes, so I just walked right past them and said Hi. Amazing how quick she perked up. She asked if I wanted to buy her a drink, and I said: "No, we should just go get naked". She smiled, told me $45. I told her I would be paying in Florins, and she then told me 70 florin. She agreed. That my friends is a savings of $5 or so. (although she may have taken $40 had I asked, my FAVORITE thing about mongering in Aruba is NOT HAVING to negotiate anything. $40? Fuck yes $40, let's go. She grabbed the bartender, he asked for $10, I paid happily. He handed my new friend Camille a condom and a key, and off we went.
Across the back alley, dodging all the traffic driving through, and into her little bedroom. Her english was great. Told me about her family in Columbia. Sweet girl. Her body was better without the silly three shirt outfit she had on. Huge fake breasts. Pretty, pretty face. BBBJ, all positions, etc, etc. You guys know how to fuck.
After about 25 minutes we were done, and she took a shower, and then asked me if she earned a tip. I had two 5 florin coins in my pocket and offered her those and she smiled and kissed me.
So there ya go. Good times. 80 florins, $10 and a redbull.

unfortunatelly no. i was looking for it one night - couldn't find. but afterwards i realized that i wasn't paying attention on the street next to the refinery wall - Grensweg? Your map shows Caracas bar on it. when i was driving along it seemed totally "dead", not a single chica outside or behind the gates. if Buccis is there - i missed it. I, however, saw 2 bars with what I thought were similar-sounding names: Munchis (or Moonchis? or Moochis?) bar, next to Ron Menta, and Barachos (or smth. close to that) on one of the streets that intersect the main road - BVDV Zeppen (on the left hand side if you drive down Zeppen.) I think the turn is right before Ron Menta block.

In May I also paid $50 a few times, but that's in my opinion an exception, not the rule. $50 is the ASKING price for higher-end chicas from the popular bars (like Chesterfilds,) mostly before midnight (maybe only a "gringo" price, I don't know.) After 1am on the back alleys the asking price is 50 Florins, which is $27-28. They've never refused $30, and one great performer was very surprised and happy about $40 - $10 propina over $30 negotiated price (although I didn't really negotiate, I offered $30 right off the bat.) She was a lot better than any $50 chica!
You are right, the inflation has eroded high-end prices ($50 vs $40 last year) but the middle and low-end is the same. Prices for locals remain the same 50FL, which I'm sure makes Colombianas' earnings a lot lower after conversion to pesos (COP.) I wonder if the escorts advertised in newspapers charge more than $100 they did last year?
I wish I was there to join the fun....
I found that more and more of the chicas are asking US$50 and being fairly firm about it. It may be just the higher end girls...but those are the ones I like. Maybe the Gordas and Viejas are willing to go lower, but I didn't even ask them.
Overall, I rarely negotiate prices unless they are trying to be outrageous. Even a $20 difference in price still ads up to very little more over the course of a week. With the cost of travel, a few dollars one way or the other is fairly meaningless...at least to me.
Negotiating price may result is a monetary savings but often at the sacrifice of superb service.
10 bucks for most of us is not a big deal, but for the girls it is a major difference that makes them happy. A happy chica means a happy monger!

I am sitting by the pool at my apartment hotel with my colombian friend lina, who I barfined out of san nicolas for 3 nights.
The red light district is very funky. Went into several bars with pogo. Some are fancy and nice, others are total dumps.
As we started driving along one back alley, a girl in a towel was saying goodbye to a client at the back door of some bar. It was Nataliae a girl who I knew well at seamans clubin sxm, in dec and dropped in favor of lina, whose aruba bar is just behind natalie's! Said hello, but moved on in the car, much to natalie's disappointment.
After 3 more bars and buying tons of 5 florin wine drinks for girls and eating dinner at a nice rooftop restaurant, we went past Miraflores bar (3 streets back from Caribbean Bar, on a corner). A girl calls to me from inside. I recognize her. It is X from Petite Chateau in SXM, this is the girl that I made cry when I told her I did 2 other girls before her that day. paradero park apartments. center of the island. $80 a night for simple but nice apt. mine has own door to the street. in a residential area in the center of the island. i told the lady my girl friend might be joining me, pogo paid the same for an apt at the aruban on the beach by negotiating- it is off season.
lina told me that the girls need to work the streets outside their bar to make any real money. they do this after 1am after the bars close and in the afternoon before they open (between 6 and 9).
there is a LOT of pressure in the bar to buy them ladydrinks. In caribbean bar I bought 3 or 4 wine drinks at 5 florins each for Marisela, a girl who recognized me from Carolina in SXM. I'm at the airport on my way back to sex prison and have a few moments to catch up on my trip reports.
I arrived on Wednesday and after a quick shower headed to San Nicolas around 5PM. I drove the circuit a few times, but wasn't seeing anything interesting. I got a call from Zing when he got on island and we agreed to meet at Lina's.
I had only met him once before and only for a few minutes....but once you meet Zing you can never forget him.
Now I am not going to say that SN was waiting just for Zing, but the photo is of a billboard right at the entrance to the main street in SN!
We met at Surena. Lina had starry eyes for Zing and a big smile. We told her we were going to get some dinner and he would be back later to take her out. She warned us to be careful as there were sharks in the area....so of course we went shark hunting!
I gave Zing a quick car tour of the alleys, but one of the first girls we see shouts "ZING!! Mi amor!" And it seemed that was how it went the whole evening.
We saw that Carolina's Bar was open and out of respect and regard for Carolinas in SXM we had to stop in.
Watching Zing in action is a sight to behold! Within a few moments I think the girl was ready to pay him for a session! We both flirted with Katerine for a while, danced a bit and headed out to explore a bit more. Found a great little rooftop grill and had a nice dinner at a very low price. I would recommend this place to anyone. It is above Club Monaco.

I got up early and went to SN for some research on my Google Earth project. The streets were deserted, which was fine with me as I wanted to wander around making notes and taking some pictures.
Later in the afternoon, I headed back to SN. Sunday afternoons can be hit or miss...sometimes good and sometimes a bust. Most of the bars are closed and many of the girls take it as a real day off. But many others work the streets and back doors.
I cruised around for a while and then saw that Carolinas was open and since Katerine and Zing were giving me a Spanish lesson the day before I figured I might as well get some more practice.
When I entered, she was not there, but one of the other girls recognized me and with a big, knowing smile, went to get Katerine. When she came out, she ran to my arms and gave me a big kiss. She asked for a Florin for the jukebox and asked what I liked to hear. I told her to play her favorites. And so ends a good trip to Aruba. One more trip to SXM in a couple weeks and then I'm stuck in sex prison until next fall.

That clears up the mystery....Buccis is now Monaco! The Buccis place that we found is definately NOT a chica bar.
Club Monaco is labeled as Bucchis on the last Google Earth image I posted a couple weeks ago. It is right at the far end of Cayo Charlie Broun. (same street as Carolinas) I'll be posting an updated map this weekend.
Club Monaco has it's own parking lot and the restaurant that we ate at is right up stairs. Highly recommended with good food and low prices!

Talk of the Town is a good place. Very convenient to the airport, downtown, beach and a straight shot to SN. I have never stayed there, but have rented meeting rooms for some of the training sessions that I teach. Really nice folks that run the place and about as reasonably priced as you can get and still be close to good restaurants and shopping.
Also, if you want the ultimate in a romantic dinner, try Flying Fishbones in Savaneeta. They actually set up some of the tables IN the water on the beach.

A taxi from the airport to SN will run about $35-40; there are buses but the service is very infrequent. No idea what the fare is, probably a few bucks.

Taxi should be around US$20 from the airport. Bus stops are right outside the airport and will drop her at the new terminal a few blocks from where she works. Bus is about $2

I would still recommend renting a car. You can get one for $20-30. Hiring a taxi to take you cruising will end up costing a lot more. Minimum $20 each way and a lot more if you want them to drive you around and wait while you have fun. You can safely walk the alleys during the day and, in reality, even at night. Most of the male taxi drivers will be cool....the female drivers may not be cool about it.
If you check the ads in Aruba Today (arubatoday.com) you'll find an ad for Yap Yum escort service. They also have an escorted limo trip to San Nicolaas and they can show you around, translate, negotiate and all that good stuff....but it will cost a few hundred. That money would be better spent with the chicas.

dickthere is an internet cafe diagonally across from charlie’s bar in san nicolas, but i would think your s.o. would be better left in oranjestad where they could also go shopping or sight seeing.

Planning to go to SN at the end of August. Decided to brush up on my high school Spanish (don't remember shit) and found some excellent spanish lessons presented as podcasts and available on ITunes for free.
What made the series real interesting is they got the right stuff to use in "sweet talking" with the girls as well as tons of everyday stuff. On ITUNES its under Podcasts/Education.

I planned on going to Bogota where I am now but on the return I wanted to stay for 5 days in Aruba. Fortunately I had a 5 hour lay over in Aruba yesterday. So I went to see one of my all time favorites Olga at club Monaco.
I rented a car from avis $28- plus taxes and drove quickly to St Nick. Monaco bar is at the back of the district far off the main street, however Olga was worth the stop, I phoned her from the airport and she was waiting for me. I had e-mailed her previously. She has an amazing smile and is probably the best kisser I have ever met not only on the lips but all over including a fantastic treatment of the twins. We had a nonstop 2 1/2 hour session which was incredible. A fantastic face, she has a good body and is wonderful in bed. Very sweet. A MUST DO iF you are going to aruba.
I am now in Bogota with mi novia. And had to perform again for her last night it was difficult keping up with her since we last made love 2 month ago and she was all juiced up waiting for me.

I've had good times in St. Maarten and Curacao so it's a bit of a let down to expect less from Aruba. Oh well, I'll make the best of it!
I'm going Sept 10-17 so anyone else going this fall let me know. I'm staying at the Marriot Surf Club so I'm curious if anyone has any experience bringing a SN chica back to the Surf Club? Still early enough so I might change hotels. Any reccomendations?

It is owned & operated by a Dutchman, Phillip. Easy going, helpful & knowledgeable. Chica friendly, of course.
The studios are $55 night, 2 persons; April 16-December 14 or $70 night December 15 to April 15.
Studio, Queen Bed, full kitchen, tiled bathroom, CD player, TV, Hair Dryers, Safe etc.
Clean, neat, quiet place to stay & play with new friends.

I arrived here in Aruba after having spent a week in Bogota at the sex gymnasium of my novia. She kills me. Anyhow, I arrived here and went to the gas station to pick up some sodas and shaving cream etc, then to the talk of the town hotel. It is at the end of the runwat at the airport has a small restaurant and a nice pool. I had negotiated a rate for 5 days from $130 a night to $95- a night directly with the hotel.
Then off to ST Nicks. There is some construction on the road and returning from ST nicks I have now gotten lost twice. I was driving around looking for surena bar as another Novia is there and I plan on spending a few nights with her later this week. I found the bar and she was sitting in the door. It is not a great location for hooking. It was night so she did not see me. I then headed to Club Monaco to pick up Olga. She was waiting in the bar for me with street clothes on. I asked the bartender what was the multa she said #200- a night. We agreed on 900 florins for 3 nights. She said that she was upset that I was taking Olga out as of the four girls in the bar one was out on a date for 15 days, one was out for 8 days, and I was taking Olga.
We went to the hotel and Olga cleaned up and we went to the Kowloon Chinese restaurant. Very good food large portions and reasonable. We went back to the hotel and started doing the deed and finished at 3am. She is very passionate and a fantastic Kisser.

Day 2 with Olga.
We awoke very late and missed the free breakfast. It was interesting that this morning she showed me a new strip of birth control pills, she said she was taking the as she knew I was coming. It has been almost 18 months since she and I were together. I know she likes me as she changed her E-mail account name on yahoo as the same as mine on another ISP. Olga and I fooled around for a while and then showered and went out. She had forgotten her phone charger at the bar and I said we will go get it.

I asked the desk clerk and sure enough there is a baby beach about 5 miles past ST Nicks. So what the hell off we went. You follow the refinery till the end of the island and head through some pretty deserted land. We arrived at the beach and it was beautiful with a reef almost enclosing it. The water is very shallow and is chest high 100 feet off the beach. Baby Beach is a great name for this calm warm shallow waters. My only hesitation was that is was late in the day and sparsely populated. It is a local beach, a good secret.
We will return tomorrow earlier. We spent an hour returned to the hotel to clean up.
We then went to the movies to see Hancock. It was quite entertaining; unfortunately it was advertised as having Spanish subtitles, only the last 20 minutes had subtitles. It was then late and we went across the mall to Sbarros for some awful Italian food. We are now in the room and she is speaking to her daughter. After this I usually spend some time doing I'm on yahoo with my Bogota Novia. This will be tricky. So much for today.

Today and tonight are our last together then I change her out for another chica Lina. It will be tricky since Avis gave me a bright yellow car and the two bars are not far away. I might just drop her off early and pick up Lina when I know that Melissa must be in the bar. I will probably bring Melissa to western union so I won’t bump into her in the street as I think I will see what’s happening Saturday afternoon in ST Nicks.
Today we arose just in time for the free buffet breakfast after spending many hours in Bed last night. It was again about 3am before we got to sleep. Melissa has to be the best kisser in the Caribbean. I then ran out solo as another chica friend of mine needed $300- via western union to get to ST Martin next month to work at Defiance. I will be paid back in trade in November when I get to ST Martin.
Quickly back to Melissa and then a short session and then to the swimming pool. I have not been in a pool in years and it was quite refreshing. After that we went to the Indian restaurant downtown. The food was surprisingly good.

She mentioned that the place was so bad that the police demanded that the rooms be cleaned and painted or they would shut down Surena Bar. This is definitely not a place for a soft and gentle Chica. It is hard core. She mentioned that most of the trade this time of year are the refinery workers. Dirty, smelly, and Black. I have noticed that many white skinned Columbianas do not like to work with Blacks. Anyhow, we left ST Nicks I believe I successfully escaped being seen by Melissa. We went to dinner as I mentioned in my previous post. Then we went back to the hotel. As normal she watched TV while I instant mailed mi novia in Colombia. We then went to bed and chatted for a while. She mentioned that she had extreme financial problems and worked only to pay off a Loan shark, as she borrowed money for a operation on her mother. If I understand correctly the interest is 6% A MONTH. Almost every Chica I have ever met has a sad story. I believe many of the stories are true, She wound up crying as she told me her story. She is really out of her league in this profession. She is much like the girl next door trapped by this loan shark.
Any way we fooled around much later and finally got to sleep very late. Yesterday we just played in the hotel pool and rested. We went to the seafood restaurant next to the Indian Restaurant near the Radisson Hotel.
A repeat of the previous night in the room. I told her that her new boobs really filled out her figure very well. She is a little self conscious about them as they are new. I agree that Surena is a real dive. There are actually some worse ones in SN, but not many. Just negotiating the back stairway is bad enough.
I was quite surprised that someone like Lina ended up there as they usually specialize in gordas and viejas at that bar. However, I have had some of the best service in SN at Surena because I am the atypical patron of the place(as are most of us here) and the girls appreciate it. Any break from a smelly oiler is a pleasure for them.
I hope Lina can get her contract paid off and get on to better opportunities. She really is a nice girl and deserves much better.

Was the bar painted when you were there. Some bars Insist on having the Chicas pay for their room through the contract even if they have paid off their contract and want to leave Early. This happened last season at seamans and the police interceded and let the chica go home early. Other wise it is slavery.
I believe the renter of seamans is on his way out and the Owner will be taking over Seamans.

I stayed at the Holiday Inn in the resort area two summers ago. Although I did not attempt to bring any chicas back to my room (first time in Aruba), I did not get the impression that it would be a problem. I don't remember seeing any security at any of the entrances of the hotel, or anybody at the elevators asking/looking for room keys. They did have a colored wrist band security system to distinguish which guests were "all inclusive" and which were just room guests. With restaurants/casinos at the facility that they want patrons from other resorts to frequent, I don't think there would be a problem.

Not sure if it was painted or not. I didn't go upstairs on my last trip and I really don't spend much time looking at anything but the chicas. Overall, the girl's room at Surena aren't as bad as some places...but it's poor location and outward appearance don't appeal to the tourist trade so the girls pretty much are stuck with the refinery workers.
Lina could have done better in a better location, but then again, the management at Surena seems a bit nicer than some of the others.
The bars on the main street attract a more diverse customer base and offer the best money making opportunities for the girls. Casual mongers are often afraid to hit the back streets even though it is perfectly safe....it just looks like a bad area to those that are not familiar or comfortable with semi-third world environments.
The contract situation at it's best is pretty close to slavery. High priced multas don't make sense to me. The chicas rent the room and run their own business. I feel it should be up to them where they spend the night as long as the daily rent is paid. I can understand a small multa to compensate for some of the lost drink revenues but a high multa is more like taking a piece of the action instead of just collecting rent and payback of the contract. Unless the multa goes towards paying down the contract, I feel the chicas should be able to earn the money however they want as long as they pay the rents and contracts.
If I ran a brothel I would certainly do things differently. The girls would have a nice place to work with good benefits and opportunities. Happy chicas means happy mongers. And I would provide a nicer experience for the mongers as well. I would find ways to create additional revenue streams such as slightly higher drink prices, cover charges, more services....but would make these very worthwhile. Of course I would cater to an upscale client base that would have no problem affording a few extra luxuries. The only part I wouldn't want to do is chica management...too many dramas. But marketing and product development are right up my alley.
But.....for now I am only a customer so I will just have to take the type of experience that is available.

I believe that it depends on perspective. I don't know Lina but I get the impression that she cried on Mel's shoulder maybe because he is willing to spend more than the rest of us.
I have a friend who worked at Sureña's on her last trip to Aruba and in contrast she said that the location was very good from a work perspective. So if a woman comes to Aruba or Curacao knowing that she has 90 days to make her money, that is what she is going to be focused on.
It is true that at first that many of the women are put off with the fact that the majority of their clients are black, but the businesslike one just get down to business and do what they have to do.
As my friend had to tell a newbie who was crying, "What did you expect? The majority of the population is black. Depend on the tourists and you are going to starve."
Many of the women have game, as they should have. They pull on the heart strings of the toursits complaining about the "smelly" blacks, while they know very well that the same blacks are their meal tickets.
The fact of the matter is that its the refinery workers who consistently pay better prices and support the women. Those of us who wish to continue feeling good about themselves because the are willing to spend hundreds of dollars to relieve the ladies from their misery, please continue to do so.
As I have always said, there is something for everyone. We all find our pleasures in different ways.

The safe in the Studio was a square unit, big enough to hold a lot of photography equipment, but the wrong shape for a Laptop.
However, there is a desktop computer in the office area that Phillip lets guests use. This saves you from having to tote your laptop down there.
The Sea Breeze apartments are a very safe location, only traffic is the few other guests staying there.
Phillip is there all the time also, so I won't fear stashing the laptop in the room if you really want to bring it.

I have spent the last two days in Aruba. Made 4 trips to SN and had 4 decent encounters, but I have really had to look. Streets are slow. I expected it tonight being Sunday, but Saturday was a complete disappointment. There has been talk about which is better, Aruba or Curacao. To each his own, but Curacao to me is 10X better. The ringing the buzzer, walking in looking around while everyone looks at you and then walking back out to the streets which are a bit intimidating is not for me. I am 6'4 and about 245lbs and the street guys have all one but one left me alone. The incident was on came up to me aggressively asking for a hand out and I told him no thanks. He put is hand out fopr me to shake which I did while walking and he grab my hand and wouldn't let go for a moment. I pulled it away and explained to him why he shouldnt try that again. This was Saturday PM. Saturday night I ran into him again and he was with few buddies. He started calling me a racist and sh#t while singling me out to the group. Nothing happened, but you don't get that at Campo.
Prices in the alleys are. 3 for the top talent. 2 can be had. In the bars they want. 4 and another. 1 for the room and condom. The talent is actually as good in the alleys as it is in the bars except for Carolines and Chesterfield. They both have a couple of hotties working.
I was asked by another member to look for Michelle from Campo. I have looked tirelessly to no avail. She isn't here yet.

I had a LOT of guys try to hustle me, try to sell me drugs. Some Rasta guy insulted me and threatened me, one guy tried to pick my pocket. Another Aruban threatened me in the American Bar which really surprised me. It happend many times and that's a shame because I really liked the setup. I enjoy going bar to bar, having a drink and moving on to the next. I did it for a week! It just isn't as safe as it should be. The rest of Aruba however, is super safe. It's just SN where I had the problems.

Sorry for the delay. Just got back to the states.
The .3 was suppose to mean $30 and so on. Looks like somehow the decimals got redistributed in the word processor. Basically $30 in alleys, could negotiate to $20 and the bars were $40 with a $10 fee for the room.
I was in Aruba on the 15th thru 18th of November. Saturday night you could not drive into San Nicholas and traffic was at a halt at 11:00 pm. We parked and walked aways into town thru thousands of locals. By then the bars were empty. I went to Carolinas and Chesterfields and didn't find anyone in Carolinas and very slim pickings in Chesterfields (4). Left with out. Sunday evening actually got a cutie from Carolionas, don't remeber name. Went through the alleys Monday afternoon and had a hard time finding anything, very slow. Finally found a very nice young lady from Black and White, named Jasmine. She worked out in the alleys on the 2nd street on th eright when you come from the Main gate of the refinery. Anyways the only problem was the street guys. One followed me and saw me go in with the young lady and waited for me to finish. Then he followed me to my car and demanded money. I was actually, gonna give him a buck to get ride of him when he demanded five dollars. I told him to forget it and started pulling away when he shouted don't ever come back to San Nicholas again. I did not feel comfortable walking around at all, the choices were hard to find and getting buzzed in/out the bars was a pain. $4. 00 for a small beer was also a little stiff. I would rather go to St Marten, where I felt in complete control and the quality was the same and two dollar beers.

I went to Chestefields this Wednesday, and all the girls there are amazing...
One pete girl caught my eye when I walked in with my friends but one light skinned latina from columbia caught my eye when i walked in.

Just my two cents. Again, this is all too true. The same things happened to me and it really surprised me. It's panhandling with agression. They DEMAND the money and get threatening when you don't give them any. Then if you give them something, they demand more. They want beers, they want something to eat, and they'll follow you right into the bars. I was a target every time I was in SN. One nut cleaned my windshield with a filthy rag and it was dirtier that before he cleaned it. Then of course he wanted money. So I gave him a guilder and he was pissed. One guy put his arm around me and gave me a buddy hug but he was going for my pockets. I shoved him away and he mocked me "tough guy". For my next "tough guy" move he was going to get my car key jammed into his f***ing eye. Then some Rasta guy told me he wanted to see how much money I had in my pockets, and I'm sure this guy was on drugs. It's really sad because I like the bar setup but no wonder they have to buzz you in. Once in the bars I found LOTS of nice colombianas and I could relax and talk to the chica's. It was also pretty slow in September so maybe I saw the best and worst. The chica's were great because the bars were mostly empty, but the streets were also empty so I was always the target.
Tough call if I'll ever go back. Aruba has many beautiful beaches and actually lots to see and do. And I want to emphasize that this only happend in SN and not anywhere else on the island. I had a great week overall and I like the island more than St. Maarten or Curacao. I just had to be on my toes in SN.

St nicolas is at the other end of the island from the resorts. It is a depressed town mostly a refinery.

Read the forum and looks like St Nicolas is the place, but a lot of the reports about aggressive panhandlers and other unpleasantness there kept me away. So I tried some of the numbers for escorts listed in the daily local paper.
Pricing seemed consistent at about USD 120, but I was staying in one of the all-inclusive high rises and one place said they couldn't deliver there. The girls would get tossed since they don't have the wristbands. Walking them in yourself was also hit or miss, the said.
So one place (Pure and Sensual or something like that) offered to pick me up and take us somewhere to do the deed. Friendly guy on the phone, came by in 15 minutes as promised, hopped in the car and he drove me and the chica to some no-tell motel about 5 minutes away. But no room at the inn. He asked if I minded a more remote location and away we went. Probably about a 15 min drive north into the interior of the island, started to get a little spooked but all was well.
Into the room. The chica was a 25 yo Colombian. Didn't really get a chance to see her in the car, but in the light. Wow. I thought for sure she was "enhanced", but no, just natural and beautiful. She starts rubbing up against me, removing our clothes, etc.

Movida in SN is quite low in this moment. Probably crisis that lost at home a lot of turism. But in anycase there are few colombianas to take.

I stayed there a couple years ago and never noticed any security looking for non hotel guests. They have a casino and restaurants in the hotel and are located next to the other resorts. Just returned from first trip to Aruba. After reading up on this forum, it was easy to know what to do and where to go. Our first night, Saturday, we traveled to San Nicolas, there were many bars open, each with about 4 girls working. Our first stop was in Bongo Bar, few doors down from Charlie's Bar. 3 girls there, had a few drinks and left.
We toured a lot of bars (15+) within the 3-4 square block area, stopped in, if nothing we liked, left. It is no problem to bring a drink from another bar into the next bar, if you don't see something you like, you can leave. Most of the chica's are 6-7's, few 8's. I didn't see anything that was a must do. Took one the first night at a bar, $40 US plus $8 to the bar for the key. This was seemingly the going rate. I can't remember the name of the bar.
Second day, I went back to San Nicolas, before 2:00 pm , traveled through the alleys. The pickings seemed to be less, but the price is usually $30 US, all inclusive. So this saves about $20 US. Just roll through the alleys slowly, the girls stand in the staircases to the second floors.
The area seemed to be safe, although there are less desirable people at every corner, just say no. They disperse.
Senor Frog's in downtown Aruba is a great place to get some non-pro action. The place was packed with tourists and locals. Seemed like sex was the idea of the night. Took one of the staff the second night.
Leaving through AUA, be at the airport at least 3 to 3. 5 hours early. We arrived 3 hours early, got on the plane within 15 minutes of takeoff, there are many lines and checkpoints to go through!
Overall, great trip, great relaxation.

Just head Straight down the road to St Nicolas. You can cruise the back streets during the day when the bars are closed. The girls work out of the back of the bars in daytime. They are behind bars like in a prison.
The first street behind the main street is good. During the day there is no time limit.
In the night after about 8 you can park on the main street and walk into any of the bars. Do not be upset by the men hanging around asking for handouts , just ignore them.
Look in the St Martin reports of distinction for some spanish phrases.
Spanish is not very important , just know how much money you are paying and for what amount of time.
Get the local currency at any atm. The chicas are very cheap, however you will have to visit a few bars to get a nice one. The chicas on the back streets seem to be of poorer quality.

PhilippeI don't know about escorts, but you need to rent a car and go at nite to St. Nicolas. Its about 30 min drive depending on traffic and how much you get lost.
Also if you learn some Spanish u can get a date with a latin waitress from a restaurant. But St.Nicolas is way better anyway.

No problem at the Marriott or any other place. You can find ads for escorts in the Aruba Today newspaper. Any of them will be reliable and will cost you at least $100 for a one hour visit. I tried that a couple of times before I discovered San Nicolas.
You can also find a girl or two working the casinos, but that is rare as security will usually move them out pretty fast since they are usually in family oriented hotels.
But as others had already said....rent a car and go. I have taken out a chica at 10am, spent the day with them, including meals, drinks, beach time and a few visits to my hotel room and not spent $100. Or you can even take them out after they get off work and have them spend the night and the next day for about the same money or just a little more. If she likes you a lot, it might just be the cost of meals and activities..
Plus you can shop around day or night for one you like and that might speak some English. With an escort service you get what they bring you.

It's been reported that Valero is closing refinery in Aruba and will be laying off between several hundred and up to all 780 employees.
The refinery workers were the major source of $$$ for the bars, at least in terms of alcohol sales. One bartender told me that his rev's took a major hit when the management issued new policy 2+ years ago and started alcohol testing of workers returning from their "lunch" break.
I wonder if someone who's "down on the ground" in Aruba could find out from bartenders what their plans are. I don't think all or even most can survive without the refinery workers. It would be a shame if San. Nic. turns into a wasteland.
Valero Energy Corp. has decided to close the company's refinery in Aruba indefinitely because of unfavorable market conditions, a Valero spokesman said Wednesday.
The San Antonio-based refiner said in June it would close the Aruba plant for two to three months because the plant wasn't profitable, and the plant stopped production in mid-July.
“It's clear now that conditions have not improved any, and we don't see any significant improvement in the near future,” Valero spokesman Bill Day said. “So the outage will be extended indefinitely.”
Employees at the plant, located on a Caribbean island off the coast of Venezuela, were told of Valero's decision Wednesday.
Several hundred contract workers will be let go over the next two to three weeks, but about 780 Valero employees will keep their jobs, Day said. The employees will perform maintenance and receive training, he said.
The refinery has been losing tens of millions of dollars a month, Day said.
Demand for fuel is in a slump because of the troubled global economy, and the heavy crude oils the Aruba facility can process now are more costly to acquire. Those conditions have slammed the plant's profitability.
When the plant was shuttered in June, Valero put it in “hot mothball” status, keeping key units powered up so the refinery could be re-started in a relatively short period of time. Now the plant is going to “cold shutdown” mode.
The plant's status will be reviewed from time to time, “but we're not setting a timetable for ourselves” to restart it, Day said.
Valero has had the refinery on the auction block since November 2007, but no buyer has emerged.

2 Nov, 2009, SAN NICOLAS, Aruba — The refinery at San Nicolas will become partially operational again. In this, owner and operator Valero wants potential buyer Petro-China to observe the refinery’s operation and its status. The starting up of facilities will take approximately three weeks.
The definite decision on whether the Chinese state-owned oil company will take over the refinery will be made after the observation. Meanwhile, Valero is looking for contract-workers to operate the relevant partial facilities.
It was only last week, when persistent rumors had circulated that Valero and PetroChina had agreed on the sale. Representatives of PetroChina had visited Premier Mike Eman last Thursday. He had indicated that the number of Chinese employees, which PetroChina required ‘was less than anticipated’.
He had no indication on the Chinese wishes regarding tax arrangements.
Former-premier Nelson Oduber (MEP) had announced not so long ago that the negotiations with PetroChina had foundered, as the Chinese company had requested the employment of a substantial number of their own workers. In addition, PetroChina had supposedly demanded the same tax advantages and environment exemptions, which Coastal as Valero’s predecessor had enjoyed at the time.

With repect to St Nicks, cruising the back alleys in the daytime is odd but safe.
At night the only hassel you might encounter is a pan handler looking for money to watch your car. Just say thank you NO. and walk away. Stay to the two main streets and the few side streets. No problems.
It is much seedier than Campo or St Martin. Most chicas are in a bar with 3 or 4 othres, Chesterfielde, if I remember has the largest number of chicas, but mitchis (?) bar had some supersatrs that I knew from other islands , also bongo bar and black and white.
I think you can get some great action very cheap.
About 3 streets back from the main street gets very seedy . One time i took a chica to a room , it was so dirty i just paid and left. Just stay to the main streets.

MelAruba has been pretty quiet the last few months, the recession and closing of the refinery put a read dent in the economy is SN.
There are a few good lookers at the moment down there, Chesterfields always has one or two hotties. Bongo has 2 nice lookers as well(both 7, 5-8, 5 on my scale).
Spent New Years down there and had a blast. Fantasy Nights was open from 4pm till 11pm with a DJ outside, there is only one girl that I like there(Diana-she leaves jan 17) and 2 other dark skinned girls(not my thing usually). I went by my favorite at Copacabana who was working the doorway because Copa was closed. We talked a bit, she was sad you know the story away from home missing the family in the holiday season. If you are still a bit nervous and have a few extra dollars to burn, a couple of the escort agencies have guided limo tours of SN. They will show you around and keep you safe.
Also, a good time to go to SN is around 3:30 or 4 in the afternoon. At that time you can drive thru all the back alleys and find the girls at the back doors to the clubs. No drinks, key charge or clock watching. You can get a good feel for the town and you'll feel much more comfortable when you go back at night.

I got there around 4 in the afternoon and had a beer at the only open bar (Charlies) before allowing the sun to fade and start to wander. Only one bar was open until I left at gone six - It was on teh street the buses go down, and began with a B. I had one beet in this place - they had two gangsta looking girls (tattoos, etc) and that was it.
All others (Chesterfields, Black and White, etc.) were shuttered. A few ladies were working doorways, but they seemed both disinterested and disheartened. A few wannabe punters were cruising in their vehicles, but I saw no sales being made.
So, I hopped me a bus and called it a bust!
The bars are closed during the day except for one way in the back on the road out of St Nicks.
The action in the daytime is along the first few alleys which are at the back of the bars. Much better than night time, no time limit and no chica drinks.
You might have to circle the block 3 or 4 times to find a chica.

St nicolas is a far drive from most of the hotels 20-25 minutes. I would look into having your girlfriend rent a car. I do not believe you can rent a scooter without a license.
I like talk of the town hotel which is about 120 per night it is in town and the closest hotel to St Nicks that is decent.. However you will surely find places cheaper.
St Nicks is kind of seedy so I would make sure to ride around there first in daylight , possibly with a driver paid by the hour to get a feeling for the area and layout. Do not be intimidated by guys hanging around at night asking for money to watch your car--just ignore them.
Some of the chicas have a day off. If you find one you like ask if she has a day off and negociate a TLN price. The area is very depressed with the refinery closed and there are many bargains to be had. Unfortuately, I believe the pickings will be slim.

Black Hawk69, IMHO it all depends on what you mean by "and at night the nightlife, as we both like to party" and your ability do rent a car.
If your meaning of "partying" is primarily what this forum is about - i.e. trips to San.Nic. daily/nightly, then you might want to stay closer to that type of "action" as other posters suggested. But spending 10 days in a relatively remote location - well, i don't know about that...
If you're looking for more "conventional" night life, with occasional trips to San Nic, and considering your other requirements (beach, clean, secure, night activities, WiFI and under $100/night) I'd suggest some of the conventional hotels/timeshare condos on Palm or Eagle beach. Especially if this is your first time on the island and you not quite sure what to expect. You can find deals on Ebay and other internet travel sites. They are farther away from SanNic, so if you drive or take a bus- it's additional 15-25min each way (i din't care about that.) Also, if you neither drive nor willing to take a bus (during the day only, but its' pretty comfortable, with AirCo. NOT a Greyhound!) and call en escort -then it doesn't matter where you stay.
Usually you can find smth. for RENT on Ebay, @ well under $100/night - 4 Divi hotels/timeshares (Village, Phoenix, Golf, Dutch Village), Casa Del Mar, Costa Linda, Playa Linda, etc. You can find reviews on tripadvisor.com. IMHO they all fit your requirements: established hotels, all have plenty of beach, security, AirCo, etc AND are chica-friendly. The Aruban maybe the exception, 'cause they have several different "types" of rooms on the same property. Divi Dutch village is the lower-end, Costa Linda seems to have best rooms/beach. Playa Linda is in the middle of "conventional" night life zone. WiFi , i believe is $35 for a week just about everywhere. If you're near Palm beach - there's a Telephone store across from Hyatt/Playa Linda and in front of Brickell Bay Beach Club, you can rent PC time or wifi w/your own laptop there.
The problem is that they all are 7-night stays, sat-sat, sun-sun, and fri-fri. but you can get 7 nights for under $400, and pay perhaps $50 in taxes upon arrival. The names that i mentioned all have kitchens with everything you may need. When I was on a very tighter budget i saved a few bucks by buying some groceries and sometimes eating breakfast in my room.
In your situation (10 days), I'd try "cover all the bases" and try to rent for at least a week in one of those hotels, and the rest at another place, probably close to San Nic. I'm afraid that 10 days in a hotel that's a taxi ride from both tourist/nightlife area and San.Nic. may not be what you're looking for.
I never took a taxi in Aruba , However looking at the rates that were posted I would guess that a one way trip from anywhere near the airport would be 20 dollars and from the low rise hotels 25 each way.
Have you looked at a map of Aruba. St Nicks is near nothing.
If you like swimming try to get to Baby Beach, it is shallow and calm ,particularly if your chica does not swim it is great.
Please post what is going on in St Nicks. there has not been a good report in many months.

For those of you considering staying at the Seebreeze apartments, that have to rely on taxi's to get around, I received confirmation that it is a $22.00 dollar taxi fare to the city of Oranjestad.
In your situation, Pos Chiquto would be tough. It is a wonderfull area but very limited in anything but peace and quiet.
I would probably recommend that you stay in the high rise area. You can easily walk the entire area and any kind of food/bar/casino/beach etc you want will be right there. But it is generally a bit more expensive, especially on the beach. The low rise area would be a good second choice.
Check out a couple of the off beach hotels like Brickell Bay or the Mill. There is still beach access at either place but you have to walk across the street. Also do a search on Kayak to see if there are any good deals out there. Priceline is a good option as well. I have picked up the Holiday Inn and the Marriott for under $100.
To explore the island you can take the bus and only use taxis for specific destinations.
Treat your girlfriend to a spa day and head to SN for a treat for yourself. For a one shot deal a taxi is OK. If you were going to SN daily that would be a problem...but once is no big deal.

When I was referring to partying, I was referring going out nightly to the conventional bars and discos. Since I am with my girlfriend, the chances of having the opportunity to stray away for other women is very slight at best, and she most certainly is not into that type of lifestyle at all, and if she knew I was, I would be nutless! lol ;)
I am looking for a place to stay that will be close to restaurants, nightlife, shopping, and so forth, where I will not be having to spend over twenty five dollars or more a day on taxi fares, as this is just throwing money away for the most part, unless alternatives can't be found. Looking at the taxi info. provided by Liathain, it looks like it would be twenty dollars or more, no matter where I went one way.
Lastly, is it best I have accomodations closer to St. Nic or to Oranjestad, or are both these places about similar when it comes to conventional bars/discos, shopping, and restaurants? Looking at a Aruba map, St. Nic is looks like it is out in the middle of no-where.
I really like the place "Sea Breeze", recommended to me by Liathain, but I am trying to determine the cost to travel by taxi to Oranjestad, or to St.Nic.

I always rent a car in Aruba.
You can either get one at the airport or some of the larger hotels.
It is not terribly expensive. Stay at a less expensive Hotel and then rent a car.
The best beaches are not in the Hotel areas, plus it makes it easy to hit the grocery store, shopping areas etc. Easy Island to drive on.
Later at night if your drinking hop on the bus.
Bring a small cooler in case you decide to hit some remote beaches.
Plus if you have a car you can hit the alleys in SN around 11AM while your GF sleeps.

Curacao just seems to have more life to it in every possible way than Oranjestad. Oranjestad seems to be alot more laid back. If this is not the case, I hope someone will share that with me who has first hand experience, since I am just relying on information I have read from the internet.
CUR is more laid-back? i'm not so sure.
When it comes to "adult activities" Campo Alegre certainly has more "life" than anything you have in AUA. Regarding the typical tourist stuff, the high-rise hotel area in AUA is much more developed place. For $300/day you will have fun in either place.
I would not take a woman to Vacation in Either Aruba or Curacao.
Neither location works well without a rental car & the list of interesting things to do will not last two weeks,
barely a few days at best, unless you spend everyday at the beach.
Male visitors go to these islands to hook up with the Campo or St Nick Ladies.
Not the local sights.
My vote would be Cartagena de Indias, Colombia.
The Old Walled City itself is a very historically interesting place to explore, with plenty of shops which women love.
We spent three partial days checking it out before hitting the beach or hanging out at the apartment’s pool area.
Part day trips to La Popa - La Candelaria Convent and the Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas Fort are also great locations to visit.
You can also take a day trip to the Rosario Islands, 25 miles by a 600HP ‘Colombian Fast Boat’,
to the group of 27 tiny islands that also feature a ‘Colombian Marine World’ with good marine shows.
The trip also includes a buffet lunch and several hours on a private island to engage in beach time.
A Fantastic Day. We almost did it a second time.
Another great day trip is to the Botanical Gardens in Turbaco, a 60-minute drive south of the city via Taxi.
There is also the Mud Baths at the Totumo Volcano, another day trip you will need to hire a taxi for.
And of course there is the Beach. The water is warm and enjoyable to swim in.
Very different than the scene at North American or Caribbean beaches with vendors constantly cruising
by trying to sell you something, but they are polite and only trying to make a living.
Just say “No, gracias.” and they vanish.
The city is full of great places to eat to to suit any budget.
Nightclubs? More than you will ever need.
Do not stay in a Hotel. They are an overpriced rip-off:
You can rent an apartment from $65 a night on up, with all the comforts of home including:
security, wifi, TV, DVD players etc. and many also have pools.
Taxis are cheap and everywhere. I never considered renting a car there.
The money spent daily on taxis was next to nothing.

Cartagena de Indias makes Aruba & Curacao look pretty sparse in comparison.

Thanks Liathain for your well written report as it should be put in the reports of distinction catagory. With that being said, Cartagena will not work for me, as I know Cartagena very well, having lived there for up to 3 months a year for several years, before moving on to new territories. As far as taking my girlfriend, I really have no way around it, as I promised her we would go somewhere. We both have been to Santa Marta, and to San Andres, Colombia, on several occasions, so we have no desire to go back. We also have been spent alot of time in Panama, so I selected Aruba or Curacao as a place to go, since I know Aruba and Curacao has beautiful beaches and warm ocean waters. We both are beach bums, and spend everyday on the ocean waters snorkling, fishing, and if we are not doing these activities, we are on the beach enjoying the hot sun, while drinking pina coladas or cold beer!
If you have any other suggestions for a location, I am very open to it. My girlfriend is originally from Colombia, but presently lives in Panama, so any place we go, it has to be easy travel for her.

I have always had a soft spot for Aruba. My very first Caribbean mongering experience was at the Pianito bar in SN. I liked the drive thru aspect of cruising the back alleys during the day.
I went there this afternoon and it is sad. With the refinery being closed, SN is just a shell of what it used to be. Friday afternoons were one of the best times to cruise. There were often over 100 chicas hanging out at the back doors. Not so today.
In over an hour of cruising I saw only a few chicas. Maybe a dozen total and more than half were ones I wouldn't touch...fat and ugly. Many of the back alley houses that used to have chicas were boarded up. The Pianito bar is closed for good. Even the signs are gone.
But there is still some action to be had. I saw one stunner on the main street outside of the Copa Cabana club but I couldn't find a parking place. On my next pass she was gone. There were a few decent chicas on the alley a block off main street. But it is not what it used to be.
I finally decided to try Elena, who was outside the back of Chesterfields. She is cute and friendly.
It started out OK with some nice kissing and touching. But then she wanted money up front. Sometimes this is a bad sign, sometimes not. I asked her how much and she said 1 hour, $100! I was shocked. If I want to pay that much for an hour I would just stay at my nice hotel and call a service rather than travel to SN and be in a tiny closet of a room. I asked how much for 1/2 hour and she said $65. I handed her $40 and she complained that it wasn't enough. I gave her $5 more...take it or leave it. She took it.
Overall, she wasn't bad...but nothing spectacular. But all the negotiations were kind of a turn-off and I wasn't as turned on as I could have been. She was sweet enough but I don't think I would repeat with her.
San Nicolas, especially day time drive thru is really a pure physical experience. You choose a girl based on looks and a quick conversation at the car window. Even at night in the bars, there are only a few chicas in each place and there is a pressure to close the deal quickly. The girls don't have to compete with 30 or 40 girls like in SXM or 150 girls at Campo. They only have to be better than the 2 or 3 girls in their bar. There is no incentive to really stand out from the crowd.
I think that I may have out grown SN. My experiences at Campo, SXM and Bangkok have taken my mongering to a higher level. I want more than just looks. That is too easy to find. I want personality, flirting and a little romance. That is hard to do from a car. SN is just a hard core Putaville. Pick a girl, do your thing and leave.
I will go back again at night when the bars are open. That way I can at least have a drink and a conversation to try to make some sort of connection with a girl and move on if it doesn't happen. But I think my drive thru days may be over.
On my way out I did see 3 real possible chicas coming out of Club Monaco. I think they were on their way to dinner. That will be my first stop when I go back. Hopefully I can make a connection with one of them and take her out for a TLN. The back alley quicky just doesn't cut it anymore. I need more.
I am not ready to give up on SN yet. I still love Aruba and want to be able to enjoy my hobby. Maybe when the refinery reopens, SN will get back to it's old self again. I hope so. Otherwise, Aruba may end up being a place to bring the wife. That would be tragic!

ORANJESTAD — The government and Valero signed an agreement yesterday evening through which the nearly 700 employees of the refinery in San Nicolas will keep their job up to and including June of this year. In addition, the government will cancel the 1 percent bbo-tax on export products as a result that Valero will abandon the case for arbitration, which they had instituted. Moreover, the American oil company will deposit 200 million florins with the Treasury. It was agreed that Valero would deposit another 10 million dollars ‘bonus’ upon a sale, according to Premier Mike Eman (AVP) this morning before the Amigoe.
With this deal, approx. 85 percent of the total amount, which the government had still wanted to receive from Valero, is recovered. In this, it regards the amount, which Valero still owes Aruba on bbo. For that matter, the oil company had already deposited the 200 million florins into an escrow-account, in anticipation of possibly losing the case for arbitration. In this case, a partial judgment had already been determined at the end of last year, through which Valero was still obligated to pay the outstanding dividend and foreign currency provision. This involved an amount of 35 million florins. However, Valero had appealed against this judgment. The oil concern did not have to pay any tax on profits due to the validity of the tax holiday.
It had already been announced last week that the government and Valero were holding intensive discussions again on the future of the refinery, which had closed last year.
After a day of new negotiations, the Premier, Ministers Mike de Meza and Benny Sevinger, Valero’s Vice-President regional refinery operations Martin Parish and general director Valero Aruba, Ray Buckley reached an agreement yesterday evening around eleven o’clock in the Administration Office. However, Eman states he is non-committal to some extent, as he wants to present this agreement to the parliament first. The agreement namely has consequences for the legislation. For example, the bbo-law must be amended again now that the 1 percent tax on export is cancelled. The IPC-law (tax facilities for settlement-NV’s) also requires amendment. Now that Valero’s tax holiday is about to expire, there is an agreement that the refinery will fall under this tax law again and that they will pay a tax on profits from seven to eleven percent (the ‘normal tariff’ tax on profits is 28 percent). In any case, it was agreed yesterday evening that Valero would pay 10 million dollars tax on profits per year, if the oil company does not sell the Aruban refinery. However, if the refinery is sold, the new owner must make an annual payment of 15 million dollars tax on profits. In addition, the government wants to regulate the determination agreement by law. Therefore, this agreement also requires the approval of the parliament. For that matter, the governing party has the majority in the States.
Premier Eman does not know why Valero has reached an agreement and renewed its interest in the Aruban refinery now, after years of conflict with the previous MEP-government. “It is not because the situation on the oil market has become more rosy and with that also the future of the refinery. In any case, the atmosphere during the negotiations had been more flexible, constructive, and not as hostile as it used to be.

OK...my first visit to SN from my last report wasn't really fair. I went around 6PM and it was pretty dead but that is the dead time as most of the chicas are having a siesta before the evenings activities.
I went back again around 2 pm and definitely saw more girls working the alleys and streets....but still not as much as it used to be. I also went at night and most of the bars were open.
But the real problem is that every chica I talked to was wanting too much money. I am used to paying 50nfl ($28) in SN. But every chica was wanting more that twice that amount. I was quoted anywhere from US$50-100 for a half hour and none of them were of a quality to demand that kind of premium.
Even in the bars, the conversations started immediately with money negotiations. No getting to know them, no chatting, no flirting...just right down to the point. One chica did admit that things are very slow and that getting money is about the only thing on their mind. She also said that many girls are going for days without any business but the daily rent was still due. So if they find a prospect they get very mercenary about trying to close the deal.
I mentioned to her that maybe they might do better trying to flirt or make some small talk first. She responded that it is difficult to be fun when you are not happy. Too many locals come in only wanting some company at the bar but don't want to go to the room. It takes a lot of lady drinks to pay the rent.
The chicas are frustrated, broke and depressed and it shows in their attitudes. I really could not find anyone that I wanted to be with for more than a few minutes. I monger to have fun and forget my own worries. I certainly don't want pay to hear their problems.
The price really isn't an issue for me. I can afford what they are asking and probably would have even gone with a less attractive chica if I found one with a decent attitude.
I am sure there must be a few that are worth it, but I never found them. Of course they might have been already busy. If I had found one I probably would have kept her for a couple days just to be sure of a good thing.
Maybe when the refinery opens again there might be enough good business to get their attitudes back in line. But for now, I won't pay to be depressed along with them. I'll save my leche for next month's trip to Bangkok where I can get an enthusiastic companion all night for less than a half hour of sadness in SN.
SN used to be one of my favorite places. It had a very unique and exciting energy. Until it improves, Aruba will definitly be a "bring the wife" destination. Let's hope that it gets back to normal soon.
But at least there is still SXM and Campo and I get to them more often than Aruba.

I didn't feel in danger, AT ALL, I rented a car and left my windows rolled all the way down and my doors unlocked (on purpose) LOL. I had insurance. People ask you for money, but you give them the lazy eye, and look like you know where your going, they leave you alone. I went to Chestertons and Carolinas. It might be good to learn to speak poquito spanish. I'm learning. Carolinas had a girl that looked like a splitting image of a girl that I used to work with, and liked ALOT. Awesome. The Chesterton girls were friendlier and wanted the dollar more it seemed. I don't know, I had fun, in the sun, on a tropical paradise, What more do you want. Its NOT a cheap vacation though, and couldn't try the escorts. Peace. For both I paid $50girl+ $10 room + $6 to $8 drink.

Visited this afternoon and drove to the street Charlie's Bar is on and also the street that runs parallel to it. It was about 2:30PM and there were no guys hanging around. There were about 12-15 girls working and they were about 4-5 ones I was immediately interested in. I chose Lorena who was stationed behind Chesterfield's. She started at $50 and I had to work to get her down to $40 (which may still be $10 too much). It certainly wasn't GFE but she got the job done with some enthusiasm. After I finished she asked for a tip. I said next time and she didn't argue. That spoiled the moment for me and I won't see her again. She is a fairly hot Colombiana from Cali so she says.

Is the boat going to be in Aruba overnight? If not, then i'd suggest the following: get a local newspaper (some hotels have "short version", you'll need the full version, with ads.) There's a page and a half of escort service ads. Some offer incall and a free pick-up by car. 2 years ago the fee was $100-125. If you need phone #s to call in advance - send me a pm, i think i still have the ad from 2 years ago, or try searching online version of the paper (called Today)

I was in Aruba for the 1st time last week and managed to sneak off to SN on two nights.
The first night (Wed) I was there around 9:30pm, short on time and pretty nervous as I always am in a new mongering situation. I managed to find the street with the main action and saw a couple girls that caught my eye at the end of the strip at a bar called Black and White. Parked near there and went in. In no time Paulinetta (sp?) was next to me chatting away. I speak a little spanish so conversation was passable. Once in the room in my continued nervous state I stripped in no time not really taking the time to enjoy the experience. Paulinetta was great though. Very GFE. Making me slow down and took charge. I just got back from Aruba and really enjoyed the action they had there. I stayed in Oranjestad and drove to St Nicolas during the day. It is only about a 35minute ride.
There was many Chica's to be had in St Nicolas. Just Locate the Valero Refinery entrance downtown and the cruising area of the back streets is just 2 blocks away. San Nicolas, especially daytime drive thru is really a pure physical experience. You choose a girl based on looks and a quick conversation at the car window. Just locate Minchi's, Copacabana, Chesterfields, & Carolinas. There was a fairly good selection along the back alleys. Perfect for cruising and window shopping right out of your car window. It is unbelievable! Don't be afraid if you see the Police. They like to cruise also and they do not bother you at all.
I usually cruise the area around noon to 4pm and you have a great selection of women hanging out of the bars and their apartment flagging you down and negotiating a price with you right from your car window.
I found it to be safer at that time and you get to see a good selection of many fine Chica's.
There are many Columbians, Venezuela, Domincan Rep, and Brazilian Chicas.
The going rate I paid was $30 USD for each. I had to splurge one day and did a 3-some and gave each girl $35 USD. Most will ask for $40 to $50 USD. Trust me they will all take $30.

When you go to San Nicolas make sure to visit Caracas bar. Toon is the barkeeper there.He does not select his girls foor the most beautifull but he tries to get girls that you want to come back to. There is a little party Friday for two girls that finished their three months and leave in the weekend. It is also one of the few bars were people come in for a drink and not only for the girls. Most of the time it is nice to complete your evening there, with some drinks.

For example, in Curacao, a girl at Campo is $30. The same girl, when she is in St. Martin, is $50.
I have not been to Aruba in 4 years, but, I believe most of the girls are Colombian and Dominican. Aruba, Curacao, and St. Martin get pretty much the same types of girls, from the same countries.

I have been going to Aruba for many years and I can assure you that there is some very high class talent.
Pricing in Aruba and Curacao is based on what the market will bear, not on the quality of the talent.
Are there dregs in Aruba? Of course, just like anywhere else. But there are some gems as well. The only hard part may be finding them as each bar only has 3-4 chicas so you have to do a bit more shopping. SXM and CUR both have venues where shopping is easier with dozens available at one time.
