I was in Aruba in May for some vacation with friends and family. I was able to get some time in San Nicholas on a Wednesday evening. It reminded me of San Nic before Covid in 2020.4 of the bars were open and all 3 of the backstreets were filled with Women. Lots of Colombians and some Dominicans as well. I will say that the quality was not as good as 2020. Most of the girls were between 3-6's, with a few 7's scattered around. They were very accommodating*and in all shapes and sizes. * I went into Chica Bar not far from Charlies and was surprised that they did not ask me to buy the girl a vino. I had a drink of Titos which was 6 USD. Went back to the room with a girl named Jasmine who was 35 and from Cali. Cost was 60 usd, probably would have been cheaper if I hooked up with someone who was not working at the bar. I rarely take Florins with me as I have always felt they prefer USD. I will be back in late August on my own and plan to spend some more time in San Nic. It was nice to see San Nic going again and it appears to be opening back up more than when I was there in December.
Glad San Nicolas is coming back to life. I usually stay at an Airbnb property near the Carnival Village and have the option to either drive or walk into town. Maybe a 12 minute walk. I usually change dollars into Florins at Aruba Bank. If you change under 100 bucks, there is no commission, at least that is what it used to be. Like everything, things change. I like to do my recon on foot during the day and stay away from the bars at night, just because of the added cost of dealing with a chica in a bar at night. Only downside of San Nicolas is that there are some unsavory characters hanging around some times. Panhandlers and just plain jerks looking to stir up trouble. I drove down from Palm Beach and so took me 40 minutes. I didn't go to any bars, just wait straight to their locations. Entrances with secured grills and the ladies behind beckoning on to you. I posted a detailed report here back then.

Decided to check out SN on Monday afternoon. Took the bus from Palm Beach with a stop at Orangestead and finally arrived at the SN bus station. Walked a few blocks and started walking up and down the side streets and very few girls out at 3 PM in the afternoon. Got back from Aruba about 2 weeks ago after spending 9 days on that rock. Been a long deferred vacation for me (over 3 years), so time to chill on the beach was in order. Was also a major milestone birthday ending in a 5, so I wanted to celebrate with some chicas.
There is fun to be found in San Nic, just have to look hard for it. Besides the bigger, and sometimes uglier, women walking about I did find quite a few chicas that appealed to me. As for the rest of the island, they've built a bypass of Oranjestad from near Eagle Beach to the airport, almost like a superhighway with roundabouts where 80 to 90 km / HR speeds are the norm. That cuts off about 10 minutes from the north of the island to the south. I noticed that there a lot of security guys patrolling the Palm Beach area, and I think it's a good thing. They were even around the Mill, which is still open late (and has a couple of cute lady bartenders). What you won't see walking around are the Venezuelanas. After talking with one of the local touts, the border between Aruba and Venezuela has been closed off for awhile now, so all of those freelancers have disappeared. Only place you'll find them are as escorts on Tinder and Bumble. As an FYI, Friday and Saturday nights in Palm Beach are very crowded; Gusto charges a $5 cover those nights.
Final tally was 17 sessions with 12 chicas; countless Amstel Brights; great food. Fantastic way to celebrate my birthday week.

It is a 12 minute, 5.4 mile trip to Charlies in San Nicholas's District,
as opposed to the 16 mile, 40 minute jaunt from the Palm Beach area.
It is still there with different ownership but seems to have remained.

Rented a car, was during Carnival times, so didn't have many options other than the big online companies (was about $80 per day), Usually the local companies can get you a car for $150 for the week, but they were all booked up. Taxis are super pricey (IE $30 USD to get from airport to rental car office). Give yourself a lot of time around rental, every other traveller shared stories about how long things took and how the companies tried to get you for any mark on the outside or sand inside, etc.
Was my first time doing the "street" thing, but in a car. (Most girls hung outside of the bars, but as described everywhere else, girls would also be behind the gates of their rooms on the back streets). Pretty much every evening, would drive around the 3 main streets around Charlies Bar. Eventually realized that I had to get on foot to discuss in Spanish or gtranslate. Not sketchy per se, but lots of guys blasting loud music and not really sessioning (found that probably the most annoying part, but they kept to themselves aside from a few touts). I'm currently on a short dive trip in Aruba. Had some free time last night and decided to at least do a quick survey of the local red light district. First, I'll add some basics about Aruba.
Flight time from Miami is about 3 hours, 2 hours from Bogota or Medellin. English is widely spoken and dollars are accepted everywhere. The exchange rate is fixed at 1. 8 Florin per dollar. Ask if the price is in florin or dollars. Most places give change in dollars, except for coins.
Almost everything is expensive, but not horribly so. I've seen 1 police officer since arriving. There doesn't seem to be a visible police presence. Everywhere feels safe.
The main tourist areas are near the airport in Oranjestad and in the hotel zone in Noord. It's recommended you rent a car, if you're planning to explore the island. The landscape isn't much. Lots of cactus and a few trees. The wind is always blowing and temperatures are mid 80's, with slightly high humidity. Tap water is safe to drink.
The red light district is on the east end of the island in San Nicholas. Without traffic, 35-40 minutes driving will get you there. A good landmark to find Is Charlie's Bar. It's not part of the scene, but it's easy to find.
The area is 4 blocks wide and 6 blocks long. At the eastern end is a normal bar called Fan, on Lagoweg street. Nuyenstraat is at the west end. Some of the streets are one way.
My survey consisted a walk through and drive through between 6 7 pm and another drive through around 9 pm, complete with 2 club visits. Probably 30 working girls on the streets, many street walkers, others working at clubs. If you're driving through, or walking through, the women will approach you. Several appeared to be working in front of short time rooms. Others, I assume, might do car sex. The clubs appear to have minimal rooms available.
Most, if not all the girls are Colombian and I would guess the average age at somewhere above 25. Most were average looking, with a few who I found very attractive.
The 2 bars I visited were empty. 2 girls inside the first, 3 or 4 outside the second. Beers were reasonable, about $4. They were both small places. I didn't ask prices, but 1 girl offered a strip show for $40. At a guess, I'd say $60-$100 could be negotiated.
If you're planning a mongering trip, don't go to Aruba. If you have some other reason to visit, and looking to scratch an itch, San Nicholas is where to go.The 2 bars were Pleasure Zone and Roxy's.

1) What's the current price structure? Prior to COVID, I was doing day time visits for 50 florin or 30 USD. I think night time is a rip off. I do all my recon during the day and might go into a bar at night just to see what may surface when it's dark. I stay in San Nicolas so I duck in and out of the town frequently. Don't have to worry about driving all the way up to the high rise hotel district north of the airport.
2) Is the Latin cantina outdoor cafe across from Fan Restaurant still open? It's a honey hole in the morning, since that's where all the chicas go to get breakfast and unwind a bit if they've been up all night. Think it's on the corner of Lagoweeg and Rembrantstraat.
3) Based on the outfits the chicas are wearing, looks like you visited during the day. They usually dress casually and save the hooker outfits for when the sun goes down.

We rented spur of the moment through the hotel for a decent rate. I don't know about airport rental, but I will say Aruba is very drivable. Not many roads, signage is in English, and I didn't see a stoplight from one end of the island to the other. Everything is roundabouts. I found it very relaxing.

Great 2 day visit to Aruba, did lots of touristy shit, as well as the fun nighttime chica choices in San Nicolaas.
First, an overview of costs. In general, after visiting several bars and girls standing on the street in front of their apartment buildings, I got an average overall price of $70 Aruban Florins, which everyone translated to about $40 USD. For me, Aruba was a strange place to visit. It's like a cross between Miami Beach, Cabo San Lucas in the Baja, and maybe some remote place in the Netherlands.
The island is very much desert, with rocks, big stones, and cacti everywhere. No idea why, but I was not expecting that. The roads are good, but not spectacular, but they are easy to drive. As someone previously noted, they have zero streetlights, just roundabouts, which are easy enough to navigate, but it did take the better part of a day to get really accustomed to them.
If you want nice restaurants, nice bars, nice "American style" tourist places, stay by Palm Beach area or really anywhere near the big all-inclusive resorts. Everything is exactly as you'd find anywhere in Florida, big places, nice staff, good drinks, decent food, and with prices to match.
In and around San Nicolaas, the former oil refinery (currently closed, although they are using it as a receiving terminal for oil products to be distributed on the island (jet fuel, gasoline, diesel), dominates the area. You can see it from far away, giant tanks easily visible from miles away. It's close enough to Baby Beach area that it stands out as an eyesore.
As for the girls in San Nicolaas, they are plenty fine. There's mostly Colombians, they are mostly good looking, but no knockouts that I saw. Standard 6-7's, with an occasional 8 in the mix. Well, apparently it only took a good offer on airfare and another one for hotel to get me headed back to Aruba!

No, although I'd love to get back there sooner, I'll be arriving 4/19 and only staying for 2 days like last time. For me, the shorter trips work great.
Definitely enjoy it, hopefully it's busier than it was when I was there last from 3/1 to 3/3, it was definitely slow, girls said mostly due to Carnival having just ended and it was a bit of a dead period. Lots to choose from though and I didn't see a lot of guys walking around like I was, so it was easier to interact with the girls.
