For an overall vacation experience (including mongering), is Curacao any better or worse than St. Martin? I've been considering Curacao since it wasn't damaged, but reports on Campo haven't been very good on here. Been struggling with going back to the honey hole of SXM myself, or dipping my toe into the waters of Curacao. Campo is on my bucket list, but the reports as of late have been hit or miss, but hey, for 50 florin, and with a buzz on. I don't need 8, 9's, or 10's to have a great time! If you are looking for a fun beach with a few beach bars you might want to check out Mambo Beach. It looked like a happening place with a couple of beach bars and some shops. The one down side to Curacao vs SXM is that drinks tend to be more expensive.

Thanks for the reply, I'm fully aware of how the rooms are setup, the lack of TV channels and cold showers. I've been to campo many times but usually when I'm on the island for a week or more. I'll only be the for 3 nights and only plan to spend most of my time at campo. I'll leave for food because the restaurant there is not to good and usually does not have sea food. First, good for you to have been able to stay at Campo. I've never been to this venue, but am considering a visit over the next couple of months. I'm sure your post has piqued many members interest about details and the overall experience. Not sure if you're going to be allowed to post a phone number and or email address. J.Very close to Campo, next to the airport, half a mile from campo?? One main road in front of airport takes you to the campo turn off--impossible to miss-look for the big leaf sign and turn left. Airport hotel: totally new and renovated and NICE! Rooms 80-120 bucks. I was just there a month ago and was pleasantly surprised since it has a bad rep. But a friend swore to me its new now--and it was! Good internet, TV with US channels, nice front desk staff and easy to navigate to--anywhere on island-just follow signs to airport. You can walk to it from the airport--they can also get you a car for rent from someone the front desk people know. Better rates there than from the rental car places at the airport. Def. Should have advance reservations!

You can download maps of curacao on your phone with different apps you can find.

GPS. Not really needed but you can use. Most rental car companies can provide you a GPS device for like 10 bucks a day or something.

Campo is never really more than few minutes drive away from anywhere LOL.

I was at Campo last weekend for the first time in years; and I'm thinking of going back again this weekend. I just want to thank Torso8, Cursnoop, and everybody who's posted recently. These trips trips go SO much better when I've got good intel!

I agree with all the recent posts about Campo being slow right now. But there's still about 25-40 ladies there, maybe 10-15 of which are 6's & 7's. And 5-6 are 8's & 9's. This was my 2nd trip to Campo and went with couple of buddies. There was a good talent to choose from this time. When you've had your fill head back to the airport and crash for a bit parking near Maho beach and Sunset Beach Bar. Nobody will bother you. Since you're going to be there that long, pull the trifecta and go over to Aruba and sample San Nicolas, which is actually closer than SXM.

They hit major financial woes due to the political crisis in Venezuela. Guess they had major positions in bolivars which appear to be worthless. There's another airline, Divi, Divi that flies between the islands. Winair is still your best bet, however, flights can get canceled due to weather, aircraft maintenance, or for no explainable reason whatsoever. Good rule of thumb is to not cut it close if say, you leave Curacao for St. Maarten and plan on returning to Curacao the morning of your afternoon flight back home from Hato. You can be stuck and face flight change fees. I'm considering a multi city deal sometime in the fall during peak hurricane season, heading to Aruba for a few days, then taking a flight to Curacao, and heading home from Curacao. Since both of these islands are outside of the hurricane belt, won't have to worry about something like Hurricane Irma wreaking havoc on plans. Although I do miss the casas of SXM.

JThere's another airline, Divi, Divi that flies between the islands. I have flown Divi and must say their service was fast and friendly. Just remember the biggest aircraft you get is a Twin Otter so read luggage restrictions carefully. I think it is 18 kg for a checked bag. Unfortunately home after a 16 day trip to Curacao. I have already written reviews on a dutch mongering site but it's time to add some value to this thread as well.

So I visited the Cubaweg which seem to have (illegal) Venezuelan refugees who work as 'Tragogirls' (drinking girls). Its in a suburban area close to Willemstad (although, obviously everything is close to Willemstad since its such a small island). You will find two 'shady' pubs in the street and because of the loud merengue and salsa you obviously can't miss it. The place is just full off Venezolan girls and a handful of local Antillians. I was the only white guy inside and the girls wanted to touch my long blond hair and my reddish beard. Sat at te bar with a nice 20 ish Venezuelan girl. Girls in general did look good, but a bit less attractive then the Colombian mamasitas you'll find at the Campo.

The con of those Latina hotties at that they only speak 2 languages: Spanish and Spanish. Although I speak a few language decent, Dutch English and German are as useful as Arabian in Japan. I just got back from a 4-night stay at Campo. This was my second time at Curacao but my first time actually staying at the camp instead of a hotel. This proof again everybody's experience Campo different. It all comes down to your taste and expectations but to be honest most girls in campo and especially the "doll up girls " / barbie girls whatever you want to call them tend to give these rush up services especially if they are not feeling you. Now in your case you where staying at campo so you had the chance to vet them before you take them why you did not use this in your favor only you can answer that.
