Checked out Rua Guaicurus, meh, it's 25+ hotels to checkout, mostly empty, yeah it's cheap 20 - 40 BRL, but the girls lack any energy, maybe 1-2 good ones, the rest old fat moms... It's cold here now, looking forward to leaving! Belo food, well it sucks, it's not near the ocean. I had a long layover in Belo Horizonte and decided to visit the hotels around Rua Guaicurus. I visited around 2 pm and 9 pm on a Wednesday. I came here a week ago, one day before the shutdown. Bars were still open here in Savasi and the vibe is OK when bars work, allegedly there is a lot of bars in Belo, the most than any other Brazilian city, and that's good because that gives the city that bohemian vibe. However, I'm stuck here till April 1. Because my flight is scheduled then as I was supposed to be in Rio, but they closed the city a few days earlier and no buses were going there. So I got to experience a little bit of that Run Guacarius in Centro where those fuck hotels are, and it sucks really, those women are like dead horses, very much unBrazillian. They closed hotels too in response to Covid 19, and frankly, nothing to miss there. Belo Horizonte is a boring city and I doubt it gets any better in some normal times. Damn.

Currently on the ground here for a few days and I really was hoping for a better scene. It's definitely safer than Sao Paulo as far as walking around after dark, but this city shuts down after midnight.
There is about a 2 block radius around Hotel Esmeralda (Av. Santos Dumont, 574 - Centro, Belo Horizonte. MG, 30111-040). There were probably about 10 + of these "hotels" (It can turn into a bit of a maze running up flights of stairs into disco / neon / laser lights after like the 5th time. Think of a SoulCycle class in a smokey hallway) that each had about 2-4 floors of rooms with girls just hanging out there. Prices vary from 20-50 are. It's very very very high traffic with multiple guys at times scoping out the same girl (this is the definition of a "Fast House" It's an experience in itself just walking through all these "hotels", reminds me a bit of how the redlight district of Amsterdam is set up. There are some shady characters walking around looking for girls but everyone keeps to themselves and there are cameras in the hallway with guys working the entrances (some of the buildings have two entrances). As far as quality Hotel Esmeralda seemed to have the nicest looking out of all the places, saw some 7's but as I was moving through quickly and it was so busy most of the room doors were closed so maybe they were prettier girls with customers. Large police presence outside, I ended up walking about 2 km to a restaurant and didn't feel out of place or unsafe at 9 pm, something I might not do in most areas in Sao Paulo. I also checked out Crystal Night Club which is like a boate but total waste of time, a 90 are entrance fee plus and the girls look for a 400 are exit fee. I peeked in and saw 4 girls, nothing was happening.

I really cannot believe there is not that much action on this board. From first impression, I really like what I have experience so far. Arrived around 2:30 pm. There is advice to stay in the Savassi area, in the southern part of downtown. There are also reports of ladies working in hotels near the bus station, in the northwest area of downtown.
What is *** is action in Savassi (yeah, I know there are decent hotels in Savassi). The bus station area seems to be a couple of miles from Savassi. I presume the bus station area should only be visited in daytime.

Responding to Internash1 report "Belo Horizonte pretty dull in 2022" with current observations. The area around the Hotel Esmeralda is alive and full of action. There are countless hotels in the area. Any place that has a sign "hotel" and a guy out front is the spot to check out. I was not charged an entrance fee. There are many rooms that are either occupied or empty. It's hard to say which. The price I was given again and again, 50 RS for 15 minutes. At the current exchange rate that is roughly $10.00 USD. Damn, a lap dance in a US strip bar is usually $20.00! For 100 RS you get 30 minutes. Given there isn't a need for a lot of small talk, that amount of time is not too short and not too long.
The first night in the zone I wandered around from hotel to hotel. There are a lot of hotels and I lost track of which one I was in when picking a lady in her late 20's or early 30's. I have been coming to BH for a few decades with the exception of late 2019 to the present. I cannot for a minute imagine why anyone would complain about the availability of sex in the city.
I have only been her two nights after a hiatus of 4 years, but I have had no trouble arranging three liasons with pretty nice looking woman for a modest price. I just spent a great week in BH, mostly just cooling my heels a bit and doing some sightseeing. BH is a great city and had lots to offer on the touristic front. Of course, punting in on the menu, too. But, the food and beverage is particularly good, and the region has other cultural attractions. Not to mention the weather was more tolerable than it is in Rio, right at this moment.
A few things to know about BH. Firstly, the women aren't terribly attractive, though not homely by any means. Of course, prostitution generally offers up women who look better than average and BH is no exception. Racially, the city runs the range and you will have your choices except for Japanese. I was here a little over a year ago, and I reached out to a bunch of girls, who claimed to be Japanese. Note: indigenous women, some from outside of Brazil, may advertise themselves as Asian. Personally, myself and others find indigenous women interesting, so I don't understand the deceit. Anyways, I sent Whatsapp messages to about three of them, two of them let me short voice messages that I couldn't understand. The 3rd did set an appointment at her place in the Edificio Veneza at 1986 Rua Timbiras. This building is aparently a place for GPS to work out of, based on other inquiries I had made. Though it is secured and there is a bit of interaction with security to get to your destination. I recall that place because this trip I did a program with a a girl on the next block at some rundown brothel on 2040 Rua Timbires (which I'm pretty sure that is open to clients with appointments.) Yes, BH is way cheaper than Rio or SP. Girls going in the 100 to 150 an hour are common on GP Guia and other sites. And virtually all have their own place, so you shouldn't be paying for a hotel room.
But, picking out the better girls might in BH be a challenge as you don't have much intel to go on. And this is the other thing about BH. It doesn't get much coverage in the domestic punting forums. As of late, GPGuia mostly covers Sao Paulo (capital and state), followed by Parana (Curitiba) and Rio Grande Do Sul (Porto Alegre) in terms of total posts. GPArena covers mostly the state and city of Rio de Janeiro. Other states get thin coverage. Unfortunately Forum Cutuca went down last year. For its size, I fell BH got left out. Whereas, I picked out three great girls in Riberao Preto from positive reviews on GPGuia. And it left me to sort out the good from the bad, and for the most part it ended being mediocre. They range from grungy to fairly clean and in new condition. Rates are pretty much the same, AFAIK. Some of the girls can be attractive and some, not so attractive. There are some older ones there, as well as some very young ones. It is important to know that this is mostly a DAYTIME operation, with most of the girls working during normal business hours, during weekdays. That's because its a commercial district near a major transit hub. After business hours, when the foot traffic slows down, most of the girls are gone for the day. The ones still around seem ready to go home. My experience in these places has been to go earlier in the day, when the girls are still fresh and most are in attendance. Because I have seen them rolling out of there with their luggage or waiting at the door for the Uber, next to the doorman when the sun gets low. Overall, it's worth visiting these places if you are in BH, but its not a destination that alone justifies a trip. But, I've yet to find service up to my standards in BH, indeed Brazilian standards, despite the economy. It's probably there, I just haven't had the that much time to look for it.
Fortunately, my best girl in Rio did not let me down yesterday. And sometimes you need to try other things to truly appreciate what you already know.
The boate in Belo Horizonte is not named Scandolo. Scandolo is a brothel in Spain. It I s called New Sagitaurius.Scandalo is also the highest end night club / brothel in Sao Paulo. Are you sure you're not confusing it with that?
