First, let me thank you for your site. Unlike many others it is very professional and truely a good source of information.

Belo Horizonte is one of the biggest cities in Brazil. It is not a tourist city per say, but it is very modern compared to the rest of the third world. From Miami it is about a nine hour flight with one stop in Sao Paulo or Rio de Janeiro. (try flying TAM airlines, excellent service). The best neighborhood to find a hotel in is called Savassi. Savassi is a thriving part of town with the best shoppings, discos, restaurants, bars and of course the "boites". Boite (also referred as cabarets and casas de espectaculos) are nothing but what we call here in the states as strip joints with one great exception. There is no problem whatsoever in taking a lady out for the night to your hotel room.

The best boites (pronounced boiches) are New Sagitarius night club (any name in english and you know it is very expensive, geared toward wealthy crowd which I am not), Crystal night club (somewhat expensive around $200 + yes dollars) (screw that), Boite Skorpius New (very clean somewhere in the middle kind of club. Beautiful women 7 to 10's. the price for the whole night is not more than $100 dollars), and my favorite is the Sayonara. Boy I loved that place.

Piece of advise for any traveler seeking a good time and more for your buck, always go where the locals go. And who knows best but the taxi drivers. The Sayonara is like a punani buffet. The girls are about a 6 to a 9 (in Brazil a 6 is like a 9 in the states). Between the cover fee, my beer and her drink (must be a gentleman first) I must have spent about $20. The girls are very frindly and accessible. This is a local joint so there is not much English spoken, but I am sure there is someone to help in the staff. Guys be smart and learn Spanish or Portuguese. Money well spent.

I got me this beautiful mulata with awsome tits and an ass that would not quit. She was very friendly and wow she could also hold a decent conversation. After fucking of course. The great thing about brazilian women is that they honestly love to fuck. Hell she took great pride in her work. It was one of the best nights I have had with a non-relationship woman. Shoot I went back for seconds a few days later. The whole night with her cost me $60. I gave her $20 tip (she was very happy about that) and always give them money for the taxi, about $5 . We both were happy, she got a good tip and I did not over spend. Fair trade.

Last piece of advice "treat a lady like a ***** and a ***** like a lady". Pussy will always be near if you follow that advice.

I spent a couple of days in BH. Unfortunately have nothing to add on the P4P scene, I was there with my girlfriend.

The city itself is well organised compared to others in Brazil. It is a bit lacklustre though, not so much to do during the day, and of course no beach.

Good nightlife was hard to find on a Friday night, even though we asked around.

I get the feeling if you lived here you would have as much regular action as you could handle. But not such a fun place to visit.

Belo Horizonte is a very pleasant city. Good nightlife, nice girls and a lot to explore.
My favourite place for finding working girls lies right in the center. From the rodoviária you cross the Praca da Rodoviária and head left and enter in Rua Gualcurus.
There you'll find several establishments looking like motels. Some of them are brothels. There are several of them in the block. They change names very often. My favourite is, the first one you'll meet in Rua Gualcurus, called Del Rey. Four-storey building. You enter without paying anything. It looks like a hotel with a lot of rooms. In each room there is a girl. When she's not occupied the door is open and you can check here out. She's lying posing in underwears or naked. If it's a really beautiful girl it can be a small crowd outside the door. When you made your choice just enter the room and close the door. The price are the same for all the girls. 10 reais for 15 minutes! Now you might think the girls must be ugly charging so low? Wrong! There are many very beautiful girls working there. Of course they could charge more if they were working in a high-class brothel. But now they have customers all the time and make a lot of money.
The rooms are OK. They clean up quickly after each customer. Of course you can pay the double, 20 reais for 30 minutes, and have no need to hurry.

When I went there the first time I was very impressed by the girls and the party-like atmosphere.

Some people might get disturbed by all the guys running around checking out the girls with open doors or by the fact of how many clients they have every day.

I personally enjoyed the place. Perfect place to kill some time or to head when your needs call for it.

A couple of years ago, I had a nice experience at Sagitarius.

That was (or still is?) one of the most sophisticated places to pick a girl in BH.
Atmosphere there was very relaxed, not like normal "boite" where you are assaulted by girls. Girls were around but they did not come to you unless you made eye contact and it was clear you wanted to know them. This situation also save you money normally wasted for drinks in these places.

Also, some girls make shows: they strip and dance, so you can really evaluate their arguments.

I picked a beautiful morena, Argentinian look actually, which came to my hotel for the whole night providing excellent GFE and full service for a reasonable damage: it was not over R 300 . Sorry but I do not remember right figure.

Obviously this is more expensive than Rua Guaycurus, but always depends on what you look for.

Report about Armageddon: The quality has changed for the worse since ownership changed. A lot of girls have been using drugs and they do not know if they will stay open.

I have not been to the place in downtown on Del rey, called "Brilhante" but was told it is NOT safe , drugs are used and the clientel varies a lot. Yes, it is cheap but you get what you pay for and with the current exchange it is not worth in my opinion.

The Crystal is better then discribed and there is a very nice dark girl called "Isabella" who speaks english. You can approach her and let her know you read about the Crystal and her on the internet. Cover charge is Reais 35, drinks are about R 10-40 depending on the drink and to take the girl out is Reais 29. Then you have to negotiate with the girl about how long etc. Normally they charge R 250 - 300. Not cheap but well worth it.

Already found one apart-hotel (3 star), seems great, located less than 2 kms from Savassi, but wondering about others. Anyone with experience or recommendations here please pass along.

I looked up hotels in the Savassi area of Belo and I found two that are reasonable in price and have been used by Brazilian mongers (Foristas). One is the Savassi at 939 Rua Sergipe, 2 star, tel32613266 R$111 (maybe lower) and the Savassinho at Rua Claudio Manuel tel32611701 R$100. Both are mentioned in the Forums discussed before (www.gpguia.net, Hotside, www.gpbr.net, etc.) They both have a "book"at the front desk. You can make your selection and she will appear at your door - no taxi charge. Check charges, but it was something like R$120 for 2 hrs. Also check out these two sites: www.wapmodel.net and www.wapmodel.hpg.ig.com.br. Most of the reports on the Forums are about girls from the various agencies. I will be there in the afternoon of April 28. I could not find a reference on your hotel in my Guia de Rodas.

Regarding BH accomodations, I am confirmed at Le Flamboyant Home Service in Savassi (Rua Rio Grande do Norte, 1007), for R$88/night. If it turns out to be home for "flamboyants," we'll be switching to your recommendations immediately. Hoping it's just a name. I did find a few other reasonably cheap options in Savassi or near Savassi, as well. One was R$75 (Villa Emma Residence). Another was located 1.5 kms from Savassi at R$75 (Clan Square Apart-hotel).

I got similar prices to yours when I called the Savassi and Savassinho. Funny enough, when my buddy called, who speaks way better Portuguese than me, he got gringo price quotes, in dollars.

I've been in touch with some of the foristas on gpguia.net. They gave me some info on the BH scene as well. Chick prices at R$100/2 hours, etc.

We'll be there on the 4/2-4/4 weekend. There's actually a 2-day concert going on that weekend called Axe Brasil Extra 2004. Many Brasilian favorites will be performing, including Ivete Sangalo, Daniela Mercury, Gil, etc. Should be a great opportunity to see some of BH's finest, esp. from their VIP area. We'll play during the day for cheap (at the recommended brothel Del Rey near the rodoviaria), and probably hang at the concert and in Savassi bars and clubs at night.

I'll be sure to post my adventures there here.

I promise you, no tricks involved. All I did was call them directly, and asked for their daily rates. If needed in the future, the tel # is (31) 3261-5233. They quoted me R$88 for a single, R$112 for a double. I'll report back on how the experience is there.

When I inquired about the same place through one of the phone numbers listed on hotels.com or one of those supposed "discount" lodging sites, they quoted me $55 USD per night.

I've generally gotten better rates by calling hotels/apart-hotels directly and asking, sometimes even negotiating down. This worked for me in Sao Paolo, Salvador, and BH. I've heard this happens in Rio as well. I have not had to call down to Rio for lodging in a while, so no experience there.

This is my first posting and all amounts are in Brazilian Reais. I was in Belo Horizonte (BH) in July 2003 on business and I stayed at the Ibis Hotel in the Savassi area. It is a 2 star hotel, $69.00 a night, but very clean, and I think they have been open for less than a year. CNN is avaiable on the TV. I have stayed at 5 star hotels and this is just as good but without the marbles and flowers. It is very safe at night in the area.

It was my first time in BH and I had a lot of business to deal with in 4 days and it was usually a 12-14 hour work day. Thus, I did not have time and strength to prowl and monger. However, my first night I ended up at Skorpius at Av. Cristovao Colombo, 571 - Savassi. I think the entrance fee was $10.00. There were 2 mulato girls dancing and maybe about 15 girls sitting around, and even more arriving and heading into a back room. They were all beautiful. After they finished dancing, we had the host or waiter invite them to our table. We had a few drinks together and after some serious groping, we retired to our hotel. I can remember if we paid a bar fine. My girl stayed with me every night and she left when I left for work. I was in love and I wanted to spend an extra day with her but I was unable to reschedule my appoint in Florianopolis. I lost her cellphone number but I will surely look her up when I visit BH in November. She would finish her shift and meet me at the hotel. We agreed on $200.00 nightly and she is worth it. She even ironed my clothes.

There was no problem with her staying with me at the hotel, but I think they checked her identification the first night. The rest of the nights, they just gave a key and called my room to tell me she has arrived and was on her way up. She would promptly hand the key they gave her as soon as came into the room.

Belo Horizonte is an industrial type city, so they have no beach and most people work pretty hard during the day. If you just go for vacation, well I don't know what you would do in Belo Horizonte during the day. It would be like going to Detroit for vacation, kind of strange.

But they do have *****s, like all cities, so at least your nights will be okay. They charge 200-400 reais depending on the place or girl. I went to Sayonara and Skorpius, but they do not have the sheer quantify of women like 4x4 in Rio de Janeiro, maybe 10-15 girls, 3-4 who are cute and fuckable.

i have been in belo for two days. it is a clean city built on hills and makes an attractive landscape. i´ve not seen any crime and there is no drug war. it feels very safe like curitiba. i went to the rua guaycurus are and it is safe and clean and cheap. it was designed by fellini. the going rate is r$10 for 15 minutes. of all the places i visited (which was all of them) there were only 4 doable garotas. one was very good, one tried hard and the other two were average. everything is covered. this area is a block of 2 to 3 story hotels with fairly large rooms, toilet, sink, shower and double bed. each floor is lined with rooms. if a door is shut either the girl is entertaining or not in. otherwise, the doors are mostly ajar and there are hundreds of men wandering around peeking in the rooms having a look at a girl, or listening at a closed door. some of the garotas put on a show or try to act as seductive as possible. others simply watch tv.

i am staying at the savassi hotel. girls are allowed without charge and the bellman has several books of gps with a going rate of r$120 for 2 hrs including taxi. the newspaper, estado de minas, has a large relax section with a few casas among a lot of freelancers. i may try a few of these tomorrow. there is a large internet agency system in belo as mentionsed before. more later.

The Mercado Central is well worth visiting. Everything is for sale. Birds, fish (alive or dead), foods of every kind, etc. A great experience. Also just up the street was a very clean casa with about 5 mocas. One was pregnant (6 months) and in the game. Crazy place. R$60 for one hr. I had great sex for one hr. with a horny garota.

Later I met a taxi driver who offered to take me to Ouro Preito and all other sites for R$100 (entire day). He also took me to Pampulha. This is a very high end area around a lake. Big estates with grans houses. A local entrepraneur rented one and turned it into a first class casa de garotas. Magnificent house, pool and entertainment center equipped with 30 garotas. R$200 for one hr. I met a nice magrinha (manequem 36) who agreed to meet me in my hotel for R$130. She told me there are 12 casas in the area and offered to be my guide. The address of the casa is 3700. It is right in the lake and can´t be missed. The name of the driver is Fernando 8864-1140.

He does not speak English. Bring a hand held translator. Since I was in Bello I have had a few reflections. Overall, I did not find the average woman walking the street very attractive especially when compared with Rio, Campo Grande or virtually any other city. I was there for 6 days. The only place I found interesting and very erotic was Brilhante. Very kinky. I was only in two prives and I was not impressed with the tallent. The best looking women I met were at Brilhante and they were form towns outside Belo. Actually I have had the best sex and usually the cheapest in smaller towns like Campo Grande or Bonito (one ***** house). An exception is in Sao Paulo. If you have a layover for a few hours in Congonhas jump a cab and go to 468 Rua das Posas. Beautiful magras, young R$50/1/2hr or R$70 for 1 hr in a spacious room with great bath and 4 post bed. This is one of a chain of 20 prives in SP.

Just wanted to report on my recent trip to Belo. Wow is all I can say. It was amazing, and I only had one night to monger. I have never been to Brazil, therefore I didn't know how beautiful the average Brazilian woman was. Just about all the women there are sexy and have a sex appeal that far surpasses American women.

I was staying at LA Place hotel on Cristiano Machado. I caught a cab in front of the hotel and told the cabbie I was looking for pretty women. The two girls both wanted R$300 for two hours adn I knew I couldn't afford that, so I was about to head out when Linny asked if I would want her. I told her that I thought she was a reception girl and that she didn't "play". She told me that she was horny and needed a good f--k. We agreed on R$200 adn hit the door. We went to a tall motel named Savissi or soemthing like that. It was nice.

All in all I loved Brazil, just wish I could be tehre more often.

I have been to Belo twice . I don't remember the name of the first hotel, but it was not to great anyway. I can suggest the Parthenon My Place in Savassi. It is girl friendly and not to pricey. The room has a cool set up also.. it has 2 floors . Have fun .. you can hit different venues there.
1. boites .. New sagatarius, sayanora, crystals. etc.

Street with three or four different buildings that you walk in and they have rows of doors with garotas inside the rooms. 20 reals for 20 minutes.. don't remember name of street or info, but taxi will know the street. Sorry for not gettin back sooner, but I just saw this now. I used to stay at the Merit Plaza. Friendly, downtown location, within a few blocks of the rows of hotels of *****s. It even had a machine located in the lobby to help select things to do in Belo. One of the choices was escorts. Touch screen as well.

The bartender had a book of photos as well. Try a google search on Merit Plaza. It has been over 6 years since I stayed there, so I am not familiar with their prices.

A quick review of my recent short trip to Belo Horizonte

Chatting with a couple of taxi drivers in the day indicated that the top clubs in town are New Sagitarus, followed by Crystal. Headed for NS at around 1030pm. Was surprised that the place was quite quiet. No more than 10 girls, and equal number of clients. Things started to really get hoping around 1130pm. Many girls started streaming in around 11pm and by 1130pm, they were almost all out on the central dance floor or walking around in their 'workwear'.

The place is not very big, but the selection was pretty good. Generally 7, or 8, and a few gems. Spotted a nice sweet blonde and invited her over to sit down. Gaby it turns out just turned 18, and was her second day at work. I tend to believe her as she was rather shy when I first approached her. I quickly decided to bring her back. R$300 was the closing price and worth every real and more. Perfect body and silky smooth skin. Its such a wonderful experience to be with a new GDP that's still open to explore everything !

I actually got the number of Gaby as she was so good I needed a repeat. However, her celphone seemed to be out of battery and we got cur off after a minute or so.

Hence, I decided to check out Crystal. Definitely one notch below NS. As with NS, the place gets busy only around and after 1130pm. Smaller than NS, but still loads of girls. I picked out a petite morena that was also just 18, and worked for 3 months at Crystal. A really sweet girl, she even volunteered to go buy the condoms (and yes, she paid for them) when I told her I didn't have any with me. Overall, great experience too, unrushed, total GFE all for R250.

I stayed at the Mercure hotel which charges an additional R40 if you bring in guests. The hotel is pretty good, but I'll probably try another one that doesn't impose such a hassle next time.

Overall, Belo Horizonte appears to be a cool place for mongering. Worth a return trip .

Great report, Peter P. Thanks. Those prices seem high, though. B.H. isn't Rio. Whatever a girl says for an opening quote, I try to talk it down by half. The trick is making your "half-price" sales pitch stick. I try to turn them on a little first (after they make their quote), wait a little then counter. I only want them for 1-2 hours, though, so I can usually use the fact that I don't want them for all night to work for me.

More often than not. The thing is -- all of these girls know that they're overcharging. The fact that there're soooo many girls to chose from should provide a little leverage. In a place like Help, though (or even Rio in general), girls will stick by their high-priced guns on principle alone. Rio veterans (and a girl can be a Rio veteran at 18, 19 y.o.) can get a little catty. Anyway, it's good sex.

There are a lot of houses in BH and the prices are a lot cheaper than the prices offered at Crystal (part of a chain of overpriced boates). The problem in BH is finding them. The newspapers were of no help. Cab drivers are your best resource, but you have to be selective and you must speak some Portugues.

Another good resource is internet. There are over 20 internet booking agencies serving BH alone with some very beautiful women. Hotside has a complete list in the Forum section (you may have to register, but it is easy).

The hotel book is also a good option. At the Savassi, the bellman had three books with 30 to 40 girls each. R$150 for 2 hours in your room, cab fare included. Alsi the Savassi is accross the street from Sagitarius.

I stayed in Belo for 3 days in April of '05. It's a clean, modern city on the level of a mini Sao Paulo. Savassi is the place to stay (I stayed at the Parthenon My Place -- it was fine; 130R/night).

The scene here in Belo is a little (or a lot, depending on how you look at it) overpriced. While the scene is pretty good, it could be a whole lot better considering Belo is a city of pretty good size.

The main clubs include: New Sagitarius, Crystal, Telmo Club, Siaonara, Skorpius, and New Scotch Bar. In only went to New S. and Crystal.

Both charge about 35R for an entrance fee, 15R for drinks and about 40R for an exit fee for the girl. Neither place had on-site facilities.

New Sagitarius is reputedly the best place in town. On any given night they have 50-60 girls walking around. Many over-dressed 6s with implants. But, luckily, there are enough 7s and 8s to make it worth the trip. Beware of off-the-meter cabbies parked out front. They'll double-charge you if you don't insist on their using the meter. Most girls here asked for a flat rate of 250R for 3-or-so hours. Not bad -- but a little pricy all things considered.

Crystal boite is a step down (maybe a half step down). Same basic design but it's a lot smaller and the girls seem a little more predatory. I talked to two (somewhat self-righteous cuties) who both wanted 300R for not much time. One even had the nerve to only offer 1.5 hours at that price. BBBJ out of the question. WTF!! I wouldn't go back -- but you never know; you could be the guy who finds the 5-star inexpensive sex freak in there. Dunno.

The other clubs are basically the same (probably cheaper as they descend in quality). The next two places (rated in quality) would probably be Telmo Club and Skorpius. New Scotch is apparently pretty low end. Again, dunno. All are in Sarvassi (pretty much).

The SW scene is along Av. Afonso Pena on the Savassi side (as contrasted to the rodoviaria side). The girls hang out more-or-less starting at Av. Rio Branco. Some cuties. Worth a look.

I did not go to the low-end clubs/hotels along Rua Gualcurus (read below for a fuller description of them). R. Gualcurus is at a 45 degree right, next to the rodoviaria (bus station). Can't miss it. I tend to like Brasilian low-end scenes; check it out, but be security conscious (though the area didn't look too bad).

There's probably a whole lot more here. I never found it, but I stayed mostly in Savassi. It's a big city; the local paper is always a good resource for more info. Good luck.

i visited bh for a few days in november 2004. international arrival was to confins aeroporto, about 70 km outside bh, where i caught the inexpensive and comfortable bus to the downtown bus station (rodovidaria). from there i skipped the taxi's and, after some confusion, found my way to the correct local bus to praça da liberdade and the ibis hotel.

the ibis is part of the french accor hotel chain and offers comfortable, but no-frills, business-class accomodations. the local buses are fine but can be a bit harrowing/confusing at times... i consider learning the bus routes to be an interesting challenge and feel more "at home" in a town once i'm no longer completely dependent on taxi's; also, i feel i get a little closer to the average population than i would using taxi's. anyway, in a day or two i knew the routes well enough to get where i wanted with confidence.

the security guy at the ibis spotted me in the lobby trying to scope out the classified ads for garotas and offered me a look at his little photo collection. i could simply select the girl i wanted and he would call her and send her to my room! i'm rather cheap and these gals, while quite sexy, were a bit beyond my budget so i declined. however, i nearly reversed my decision when i met one of the gals getting off the elevator... on her way out after seeing a client; she was extremely well-groomed, drop-dead gorgeous, and enormously friendly/personable. anyway, you might try asking the hotel security guy what he has to offer.

i did visit the low-end "fast service" brothels on rua gualcurus behind the bus station. i had read about them here and was curious, but i was not intending to partake. at first these were difficult to find... you look for an open non-descript doorway which leads directly to a long flight of stairs; there is no signage or anything to indicate what's inside other than a steady stream of guys walking in and out. just walk inside, climb the stairs, and walk past the guy at the desk as if you own the place. there you will find two floors of hallways with rooms off them. each room has a garota inside. if the door is closed, she is occupied; if the door is open, she's available. often they'll be standing in the open doorway enticing customers inside.

there are several of these low-end brothels. the first i visited was filled with fat ugly matronly older women... an amazing turn-off. i did a quick tour and left, figuring that was that. but i spotted another brothel and decided there was no harm in exploring. the quality of garotas was cosiderably better at this second brothel and i inquired about prices (r$10 for 10 minutes). so i explored further at a third brothel; in one room this gal would stand behind the door (out of sight) so you had to stick your head in and peek around the door to see her... there was a line if guys doing exactly this, so i got in line and waited my turn. as i peeked around the door i saw this shapely red-head with a tight curvy body (wearing only a bra) and a neatly trimmed pussy... she was about 29 or 30 years old. i liked what i saw so i ordered up 20 minutes for r$20. that was a nice "fast food" experience so i tried two others in the next couple of days and would say that the service and quality is variable but its cheap and a fine way to while away a few hours as you look for that bargain. from one gal, i learned that they rent the rooms by the day... i forget exactly what they pay but seem to recall they must pay about r$150/day... which means they have to see 10-15 clients just to break even. my sense is that they will come in from other towns/villages for a few days to make some money.

late one evening i decided to take a walk from my hotel and see what i could find. i stumbled upon the new scotch bar and the doorman urged me inside. rates were reasonable, selection was minimal. i was immediately approached by a black gal but, while i enjoy black women at times, her aggressiveness and body style did not appeal. in another minute, i was talking with a petite morena more to my liking; she had a good fun attitude and was straightforward about prices and services. so, while she wasn't gorgeous, i took her upstairs and we had a great time... she was extremely enthusiastic and eager to please... we ran overtime, i gave her a nice tip, i settled my bill and then left.

after that, i rushed back to my hotel, grabbed my bags, and headed to the rodovidaria where i caught an overnight bus to rio.

Belo Horizonte (BH)

4-Day trip to BH from Buzios via Rio (Mar 2005). Took the 6-hour bus ride from Rio. Very scenic, very green, lots of valleys.

Stayed at the Comodore Hotel (#508 Rua Carijos, Ph: 3201.5522), downtown BH. My buddy and I paid R$68/day for a double room weren’t charged a cent more for the bringing back the garotas. Very decent, very cool management and they will even hook you up with a garota, from its “hotel book” (GP catalog).

Centro has lots of hotel and is a good place to stay and is very close to Rua Guaicurus and Rua Sao Paul and the converted motel action. Many of the hotels aren’t in great shape so you may need to check around for a decent place. The only thing about staying in centro, is that there were very few places to go and party or have a drink downtown at night. Most local night action steams around the Swassi area.

During the day Rua Guaicurus, is ground zero for action of all types, sizes, shapes and colors. In roughly a 1 to 2 block radius (close to Rua Guaicurus, Rua Sao Paulo), they must have been about 12 to 15 of these so called “converted 2 and 3 storey motel buildings” now turned into these cat houses with a GP in every room. There are literally tons of girls (per building), ranging anywhere from a fat/ugly 2 to a gorgeous/beautiful 8. You will truly see some beautiful women (with great bodies) working in these rooms for next to nothing. The general price range is R$10 for 10 min. (or R$15 for 15/20 min. sometimes) depending on what you want. The key here is to negotiate what you want for “how much” and for “how long”. Most girls are accommodating, but if they can’t provide what you want, move on and no doubt the next girl a few doors down the hall, will. In some buildings (where the girls are a little more desperate), they wanted to fuck for R$5 for 10 min. Notice I said desperate.

Over the next 3 days, my buddy and I probably had a record number of girls we either fucked and/or got BBBJs. I lost count after about 15 or so. There were truly some gems to be found. One should be careful and discreet when asking for BBBJ services, as not all girls will perform this service (and many are turned off when you ask them). They can be found and can be convinced with a little increased monetary persuasion. Although I did not get my dream BBBJ (two girls), my buddy did and it was fucking awesome for R$30 (R$15 each) for 15 min. Before he went ahead with the two girls he made sure he give them explicit instructions, “sem mãos, só seua bocas”. And they delivered!!!

We had an excellent time at the “converted 2 and 3 storey motel buildings” and spent upwards for 5 hours or more each of the 3 days we were there and along the way had some great bangs for the buck (literally). One more thing, when doing this many girls, one may require some vitamin V or C and there were enough hot women in several of the building to make it worth the taking.

I found that there is a day shift and an evening shift whereby the girls will change up at about 5-6pm and a completely new set of girls will take over and occupy the rooms. This was like double your pleasure, double the fun!

SW Scene
Rua Av. Afonso is ground zero to pickup SW. One thing that bugged me, was that the girls are located a good 20 min. walk up Rua Av. Afonso from centro (or a R$5-7 by taxi). They are located on both sides of the street and takes about another 20 to 30 min. to checkout the quality of girls on both sides. I was zigzagging all over the street like a drunken sailor, trying to check out the action. There were some average to decent SW out on Rua Av. Afonso and the quoted prices were reasonable, R$50 for each ½ hour in the car or hotel.

My buddy met one SW (who works at the New Sagittarius Night Club), who needed the money, since things were somewhat slow at the club. They agreed upon $150 for TLN (depart at 7pm). Apparently the sex was good and did everything but anal. Needless to say it was a sleepless night for me. Since attitude is somewhat important for me when taking an SW for TLN, I found many of the SW very abrupt and somewhat standoffish, therefore I didn’t take a BH SW from Rua Av. Afonso for a TLN or quickie ½ hour.

The SW scene on Rua Av. Afonso is better done by car/taxi, as walking the scene can be quite tiring and long. Better save your energy for fucking. Also my buddy and I came across several TVs at the end of Rua Av. Afonso near the top of the hill, that were absolutely stunning (probably some of the best he or I have ever seen) and could be quite easily be mistaken for women, so be careful out there when picking up the SW on Rua Av. Afonso.

The SW scene on the low-end can be found close to the Rodoviaria. SW rate about 2-5 and the area is a bit scary. Not recommended for the faint of heart. They ask for about R$20-40/hr.

Swassia neighborhood (about R$10 by taxi, from centro) has a healthy night scene and several strip bars/boites as well. It is an area where the rich brats tend to go and party. Entrance fee was around R$35-40 and the girls going in-and-out didn’t seem too bad.

(Thursday) Sayonara strip club ($30 entrance) for us was terrible. Lot of out of shape, not great looking women (although their attitude was OK), who wanted like R$200-R$300. Told management I wasn’t impressed and they need to get some better women on my way out.

(Friday) New Skorpus strip club ($30 entrance, $15 if you talk to the doorman) for us was much better. Great looking girls, in great shape and good decent attitudes. Tried to get this great shaped, great body and great looking black girl, back to the hotel for a TLN, but she wouldn’t budge one centaviro below $250. Drinks were reasonable, R$10 for beer and R$5 for pop/water.

The quality girls in the strip clubs were OK, but don’t really compare to Rio and I thought many didn’t really live up to their asking price for 1 or 2 hours sex or TLN, and therefore I never got the chance to have sex with any of them. Besides I was somewhat worn out from the day’s activities at the “converted 2 and 3 storey motel buildings”.

Walking around downtown on Rua dos Caetes, I stumbled across a low-end night club (I forget the name) that was just jumping. It a can be a little rough at night, so beware. Pedgogy(sp?)/Funky on the lower level and Forro upstairs. Although I did not pickup and girls (Wednesday) there were some very cute girls to be seen and possible hook-ups with some cute local girls. I did see a couple of the SW from Av. Alfonso and the “converted 2 and 3 storey motel” GP girls with their friends/boyfriends out for the night. Wednesdays (R$2.50) and Saturdays ($8) are the best nights. Drinks are cheap.

One of the things that struck me as odd, is that there are so many motels in BH, especially in the centro area, that the only conclusion I can make, is that there is an awful lot of fucking going on in BH. LOL!!!

Worth another visit, just wish BH had more of a night life downtown.

I went to a great old fashion ***** house in Belo last night. This one is well worth the trip if you are in town. As many people have mentioned, there is not much to do in Belo, although a day in Ouro Preto as well as a chance to see Cruzieros play football would round out a nice mongering tour.

Fascinacao is located on Rua Mato Grosso 848 (tel 31 3292 3715). The house is essentially unmarked other than the number on the door and a little sign that says" empurre" (push). When you get in, there are a series of small rooms with couches and a small bar. The manager then brings you a line of girls to inspect. The lighting is good, and it is easy to appreciate the girls. The manager mostly hires young (18-24) and thin girls, lots of blonds, one or two even real blondes. The girls from Minas arre truly beautiful. There were no fat ones or ugly ones, and most were quite fashionably dressed (as opposed to the usual hooker gear). On the other hand, for those who like the sleazy look, there were certainly enough girls there of that genre for your tastes.

Overall, I would rate the selection as better than Bomboa but not quite Bahamas.

I chose a mulatta named Thais, who was well dressed (we could have left for dinner, and no one would have suspected she was a hooker), and very nice to talk to. After 30 minutes of drinks and a little necking, we retired to a very nice room for an hour. The usual platform bed with mirrors on all sides. No big baths like Millenium in Sao Paulo, but a very nice room nevertheless.

I had to hurry out, as I had a dinner date. But on the way out, I almost fell in lust with a garota named Paola. Blond and trim.

One last thing- the cost was very reasonable. 20 to enter. 160 for the girl. No charge for the room. 29 for the Black Label.

Spent 3 days last November at BH. Don't know about buses to BH.Arrived from Sao by air and left for Rio same way. There is a regular bus service from airport to downtown on luxury coaches for R 12 versus R 60 for taxi. Trip takes 45min.

Stayed at Savassi hotel for R105 single. Small, business type hotel, clean and confortable.
Nice area to stay with cafes and restaurants around. Ask the reception for a nice churascaria two streets behind the hotel. They recomended it for me.
They can also show you,if asked, a few photo catalogues with girls to choose from for R120/hr. I did choose a nice titty student (they all claim that they are students). She arrived within 20 min, service was good but nothing special.

Visited Rua Guaycurus a few times for about R7 taxi ride. Best selection of girls and most clean rooms at #660. Had solos for R15 and nice time twice with two different couples (mulata & blond) for R30 each. I remember I was taking double time doubling the price too. So for R60 had a trio twice for almost an hour. It was real fun. Planing to go back this October.

Also visited a couple of private places but didn't stay. Went to the boite accros the street from hotel but was not worth staying.

If you have some extra time to spent during the day pop on bus #8106, opposite from hotel, to "BH shopping". Nice drive up the hill and nice place to spend a few hours.

The receptionist tried to impose a 10% unofficial service charge(on a piece of paper) on me during check out which I immediately refused.

Brilhante is a favourite of mine. Close to the Rodoviária in centro. No entrance-fee. Short-time starting at R$ 15. Several floors with lots of rooms. One girl occupying each room. At the current exchange rate, $R2,000 / month, is PLENTY to live on almost anywhere in Brazil. The minimum wage is around $R350/month. A good salary is $R1,000/month.

I travelled several times to Belo Horizonte.

The best clubs I recommend are:

New Sagittarius (the best looking girls in town)

Crystal (Quality depends of the night and the time, better go there early to get the most beautiful)

Sayonara (less good than the above but definitely a try for some good girls too)

I also recommend the motels ont he highway outside town (past BH Shopping mall) onthe left u've several of them.

Some rooms are truely marvellous with big jacuzzis and small pools.

Fascinacao has gone up again in price, now 20 to enter and 200 for service. Good opening hours, though, if you don't like the late scene (1400-2400).

Tried Scotch Bar to save a few real. 2 of 8 doable, picked a nice 7 girl who studies psych at PUC. Great quality service for a decent price (80/half hour).

Houses around Guarcurus not my scene. But I learned that the early of three shifts, starting 8-9 am is by far the best. Some girls/housewives pretending to go to work in the surrounding shops. But this is not the place for a high-end experience.

All hotels seem to not charge for brining a girl. The bellhops all have photo guides. At my hotel, it was 150/2 hrs including the taxi.

I recently visited Belo Horizonte for a little over a week on business and I have to say that I was very disappointed with the mongering scene. Here’s my review of a few of the mongering options in BH:

Guaicurus: As described in other reports, this street has several converted motels with a working girl in every room. If the door is open she’s available, if it’s closed she’s with a client. In Guaicurus and also Sao Paulo street, which crosses it, I counted about 12 of these motels with 2-3 floors with about 10 girls per floor. That’s about 300 girls to choose from. Most are ugly, some are very ugly and a handful are doable. It’s probably worth a visit if you’re going to BH just to see what it’s like and of course there is a certain thrill in being able to do an ok-looking GP for just R$10 or R$15, which is the going price for about 10 minutes. The rooms are pretty filthy and the only washing facility in the rooms is generally just a sink. My first day in BH, after walking around a lot, I found a doable girl and had a quickie with her for R$15. The “programa” was a quick CBJ (most of them will not do BBBJ’s) and doggie finish. It took the advertised 10 minutes. The corridors to the motels can get very crowded with men. As you might imagine based on the girl’s going rates, most of the guys running around are not the usual middle-class Brazilian you find in a Rio Terma, so be prepared to keep one hand on your wallet and for some interesting odors in the very hot corridors (none of the motels have AC). Later in the week, I went back and found a decent-looking girl willing to do a BBBJ for R$15. After a few minutes of BBBJ, she offered me BBFS for R$30. She said that I just couldn’t come inside her, but I could pull out and come in her mouth. When she offered me that I could just envision her offering the same to the 10 or 15 men she must be doing each day for who knows how long she’s been working there. It was a big turn-off. I turned her down and finished the BBBJ ASAP. At that point, I even regretted getting the BBBJ from her.

Fascinacao: This is a residential house converted into an unmarked brothel (Rua Mato Grosso 848). This is the only good thing I found in the BH mongering scene. The house has a bar, several couches lining the corridors and several very well furnished rooms that are impeccably clean. You walk in, get a drink, and 8 or so girls will introduce themselves. Two of the girls that came caught my eye. One was a tall fake blonde with fair skin that had a great figure and an attractive face. I forget her name. The other was Jessica, a tall morena with a gorgeous face and an OK figure that is just slightly overweight. After the girl parade, the manager asks you if you’d like one the girls to join you. I asked for Jessica. I had my usual caipivodka while chatting with Jessica for about 20 minutes. I offered Jessica something to drink, but she declined. She was fun to talk to and after our short conversation we went to one of the rooms. In the room, she gave me two of the best BBBJTC that I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot. The first BBBJ was supposed to be a warm up, but it was so good I decided to finish that way. After a quick shower, we lay down on the bed and she was down there giving me another BBBJ within a couple minutes. She made me come again. The girl is a BBBJ artist and truly likes doing it. As I was showering after the second BBBJ, the phone rang indicating that our hour was up. The cost was a reasonable $200 for the girl (which is fixed for all girls), R$25 entrance fee and R$8 or R$10 for my caipivodka.

Escort services: I looked for escort reviews in the local Brazilian board and found a couple interesting ones, but nothing compelling enough to make me try them. I asked one of the front desk guys at my hotel if he had a “book” of available girls and sure enough he had one. They were all girls from http://www.toplinebh.com.br/home.asp , in fact the book had the Topline BH logo on it. As opposed to the website pictures, the book he showed me didn’t cover the girl’s faces. None looked that great. I also noticed that on the book, some girls were described as “liberal”, but on the website the same girl specified she only did CBJ, and some listed that they might do anal after meeting you, which in my experience means they don’t do it. The rate of R$150 for an hour was also higher that the usual R$100 for two hours I’m used to paying with the Rio escort services, so I passed.

Boate New Sagitarius: This was the low-point of my BH mongering experience. Yes, even lower than the Guaicurus bareback *****. At least that girl seemed like an honest *****. I knew going in that this was supposed to be the best and most expensive boate in BH, but I was still surprised with the combination of high cost and poor service. I got to this boate at about 12:30 on a Friday night. There were about 30 girls in the house and about 15 guys. About 5 of the girls were very good looking, 20 were definitely doable and another 5 had no business being there. I sat down and ordered a caipivodka. The setup in the boate is not the greatest. There are elevated circular benches around a central dance floor where there’s a strip-tease going on about 50% of the time. The shows are nothing special. You are “assigned” a part of the bench to sit in, walking around meeting and talking with the girls certainly didn’t seem to be encouraged. That would not be so bad if the girls did the walking around for you and “worked” the room so that first of all you could see them up close and also made calling them to sit with you easier. Unfortunately, the girls seemed to be content to be talking with each other and hardly moved. After about an hour of doing my best to determine what the girls looked like, I finally located a good looking blonde. She sat down with me and we had a good conversation, laughing a bit and we certainly seemed to hit it off. I had noticed that in all the time I was there I hadn’t seen anyone kissing. I lightly kissed her neck and kissed her lightly on the mouth. She told me that a little peck like that was ok, but that we shouldn’t kiss much more because the house frowned upon that. I believe that was actually true since none of the other girls were kissing their clients. Forget about being able to do any DFK like in the Rio Termas.

When it came time to negotiate her rate, she opened with R$350! I had heard that they would open with R$300 but would settle for R$200. I was wrong. She finally settled for R$300 “until 6:00 AM”. It was about 2:10 AM at that point. She went to grab her things and I asked for the check. That’s where a not-so-good experience turned even worse. I had 3 caipivodkas and the girl had 2 fruit juices. Add the entrance fee of R$35 I think and R$ 40 for the girl’s exit fee and the total came to almost R$200. My caipivodkas were R$24 or R$28 each! I can’t remember exactly, and her fruit juices were just as ridiculously priced. I was suddenly reminded of the similar rip-off joints I’ve been to in Mexico City and Europe. I guess I’ve been spoiled with the honest Termas in Rio. I complained to the waiter that the drinks were way overpriced, but also based on my experienced knew that complaining a lot wouldn’t change the price, so I left it at that. Also based on experience, I paid cash and not with my credit card. On two occasions, I’ve had my credit card number ripped off from over-priced joints like this one, so I decided not to risk it. My girl came back and we left for my hotel. We both took quick showers and I remember seeing the clock radio when we actually lay down on the bed, it was 3:01 AM. The sex was mediocre, she had a nice figure, but her BBBJ was too light. Her kissing was superficial too, no DFK. We were done with round 1 at 3:42 AM. She takes a shower and then I go in to take one. While I’m in the shower I hear her calling on the cell phone to her taxi driver. I guess she thought I wouldn’t be able to hear it while in the shower. Just to remind you, we had agreed for her to stay until 6:00 AM before we left the boate.

I came out of the shower and let her know I’m ready for round 2, pretending not to have heard her phone conversation. Then this girl started showing how quickly these girls learn all the tricks in the book even though she was only 22. She said she had only brought one condom so unfortunately we would not be able to do a round 2. I pulled out a pack of condoms of my own to her visible disappointment. Then, she used the usual sick child/mother/friend story. This time it was her mother that was sick and she need to be home early to sleep some and go help her clean house in the morning. I reminded her that maids are very cheap in Brazil. I offered to pay an extra R$20 so she could hire a maid for the day. She was not amused. I told her that if she wanted to go she could, but that we had agreed R$300 for about 3 hours . If she left after less than an hour. I told her I was going to be very generous and give her more than she deserved on a pro-rated basis and that would be R$100. She was even less amused by that. She agreed to go for Round 2.

Round 2 was definitely a grudge fuck. She turned into an inflatable doll. I also found it kind of funny knowing that her taxi driver was already waiting for her downstairs during this whole time and would probably charge her extra for this. After about 30 minutes I came again. At that point I paid her full R$300 and sent her on her way, but I let her know I knew the taxi driver had been there the whole time and suggested that she try text-messaging him the next time so her clients wouldn’t find out she wanted to split.

It’s amazing how a hardcore house will attract hardcore girls. They seem to go hand in hand. Even though I love the Rio Termas for example, Centaurus is terrible. The management sucks, it’s overpriced, and the service from most girls is below the quality of the other Termas. I remember doing sessions with 4 or 5 ex-Centaurus girls at other Termas like Solarium and 4x4. All but one of them were below average sessions. Now, when I meet a girl in a Terma and she tells me she used to work in Centaurus, I generally move on to another girl. But, I digress. In summary, I found BH to be pretty poor mongering-wise even though it’s the third largest city in Brazil. It’s not worth a trip there, and if you’re stuck there for a weekend due to work like I was I think you’re better off buying a cheap R$250 flight back to Rio for the weekend.

I was in Belo Horizonte and didn't want to fork over the are$230 for hot girls at Fancinacao, but sleazy downtown "hotels" not my thing. Fascinacao is good but no better than a good clinic in SP where you can get the same thing for are$120.

Went to a massage clinic recommended by the locals on gpguia. It's in a discrete building in Barra Preto (Rua Ouro Preto 891, rm 102, tel 3335-0246). Good find. 4 girls, all pretty and early 20s. Prices are$40-100. Are$40 for straight massage, are$50 for massage in the nude and manual, are$60 for that and oral, etc. The one I had did a very professional and energetic massage (about 40 minutes) and then anything else I wanted. I'm traveling to BH for the 1st time in a few days. I would really appreciate an advice regarding the 2 things below:

1. I prefer to meet beautiful very young (preferably below 20 y.o. - I'm in my 20s myself) local women who are non-pros. Functional English is a must, since I don't speak a word of Portuguese. As everybody has already told you there is no chance that you may fulfill your dream.

BH especially is very conservative and finding a non-pro there is mission impossible, even if you speak portuguese.
Normally you meet girls in BH through some friend and if you don´t have such friend, just forget it.

Getting laid in BH is as easy as in any other city in Brasil, but you need to speak portuguese.

Arriving in Belo from RJ on the overnight bus, nicely timed so it´s just about light. Get my bearings and check into a hotel.

There´s plenty of directions for the ground zero mongering, but mostly they say ´close to the bus station´or ´non-descript building´which I didn´t find too helpful, so in case it is not covered already, here´s one description.

Get off the bus and climb the steps. You will be on a paved area where there is also some car-parking. Look around you. To one side there is a large, long building, higher up, and it looks a bit like an airport entrance. That´s the main bus station building where you buy your tickets (as opposed to get on the bus, which is below ground level).

Stand so that building is behind you. To your right and left are viaduct/flyover roads at each end of the paved square. Check the one at your left. As it descends, it forks in two. The right hand fork, at street level, is Rua Guaicurus, where you want to go. It is probably the dodgiest looking street you could pick but seems safe enough daytime anyway. At the start, there´s a key-cutters on the left and a fruit and veg store on the right. Couldn´t see a sign but after the first block it bends sharply and you start entering the mongering area. The first block is slightly uphill, then you cross a main road and it´s downhill all the way if you will excuse the pun.

If you get lost, over your left shoulder (to the side of the bus station ticket office) was a walkway signed as leading to the Metro. Follow it to the entrance of the Metro and you can look at a map of the immediate area.

Once I find Rua G, I follow it for a few blocks to find a hotel that looks like a real hotel. I book in to Hotel Rio Jardao (Rua Rio de Janeiro 147) which is only about 100yds from the action. It is 35R a night, grubby and run-down, but respectable enough, has clean sheets and towels, a hot shower ensuite and a lock on the door that works. And internet access in the lobby at 3R an hour.

After a quick nap, I cross over and start checking Rua Guaicurus.

Now if you weren´t quite sure if you are in the right area, the tacky video-cabin venues lining one side of the street should tell you. Then there´s the paintwork . . . <g>

I´ll start with the one nearest my hotel . . .

The Imperial Palace Hotel is painted garish red and yellow. Inside and out. Add some grotesque characters and you almost have a David Lynch movie. It´s 12.30 in the afternoon. Many girls are just starting work, climbing the stairs and unlocking the room of their vocation. Maybe it´s the time of day, but most of these girls are old and ugly. Imagine slices of meat from Dante´s Inferno.

Next up is Hotel Onda Livre. It´s next to Relax Fantasy (video palace) which is well signed. Same can of red and yellow paint as tyhe Imperial. Girls are better looking though.

A few doors further on is Hotel 620. This one just has two floors. These hotels are all more ´upmarket´and freshly cleaned than the place where I am staying, but we´ll skip that. Many of the girls are a bit blank. Imagine Amsterdam Red Light district or the walks ups of Soho. Brasil variation. They are like window paintings. Most guys stare or look them up and down without saying hello. You can see inside the rooms and most are nicely fitted out, slightly bigger than the average Amsterdam job.

Then I come across more of the same hotels at 648 and 660 Guaicurus. At 660 I decide to take action, walk in on a nice blonde, shut the door, lock it from inside and start to negotiate. I ask for 15 mins (expecting to pay 15R). No, she says 20R for half an hour. Ok, says I. It´s 1.15. My half hour stretches to 2pm. She is Paulista, slightly older than I imagined, but still nice. I go round the corner (off Guaicurus) onto Rua Sao Paulo. At No.114 I go in. Only get as far as the first floor. A gorgeous young girl is standing stark b*llock naked in her nicely lit room. i´ve gone over parts one and two to make a few corrections. i hope they are accurate. it´s my first time in this area. any more experienced bh mongers do please correct if necessary. i´ve got some photos of some of the main hotels i can post when i get near the equipment, but, as others have said, once you have the hang of it you don´t need actual addresses. there are quite a lot beside the ones i mentioned, and several in the part of rua sao paulo that crosses guaicurus. i actually must have got a bit dizzy. fell down a manhole. got out again before anyone accused me of damaging the payment or owing the locals repair money.

many of the hotels don´t have names. there is usually a guy near the door or on the steps. if you look under 14 he will probably want to see your i.d. quality varies from a few gems to stuff you would have to beat me with a stick, pay me enormous amounts of money, and threaten my wife and children (not that i have any) before i would f*ck them. for instance, a green and white entrance opposite relax fantasy offers ´program for 7r´. they were hideous. in rua sao paulo, there´s also a live show. 5r for 8 mins. two buxom brunettes were doing a lesbian act when i put my 5r in. a bit like rj´s miami peep without the optional extras. i only stay for four minutes but i don´t think the machine allows for this as no-one runs up offering 2.5r change.

The choice is yours, but to visit Brasil and not do Rio is a bit like going to a celebrity VIP buffet and taking your own food and drink.

If you have a very short time, you can do BH without getting fazed, but bear in mind the extra travel time if you are going there via RJ. Yes, BH is nice, it's not crazy, the pussy is nicely packaged for daytime shopping.

Rio is crazy. But do you really want to miss it??

VM is 24hr but busier in the evening and at night. I'm wondering how being white is an issue in the VM vs BH choice. I think it's more that you will just look like a tourist on your first visit in either.

The downtown cheap and nasty BH has the advantage that it's like going into a cheap shop and buying something at the counter. No room for error and you don't feel out of place if you're the only tourist. VM is more like the bustle of a market place. But it's really not scary, especially if you get a taxi there on your virgin visit.

RJ has more tourists but it's bigger and so they get swallowed up easier.

If you are undecided and travelling via RJ, it's on the same side of the city as the airport (unlike Copacabana). You could even stash your luggage, taxi to VM for the afternoon, then back to the airport. Be sure to have some small bills - it makes things quicker if you have 30R or exact change. (If you are going on to BH by bus, then VM is a stone's throw from the bus station. You can get a good shower before getting on your bus.)

If you want a semblence of normality with a bit of rough on the side, BH is more like any western city - not like RJ. There's a fraction of the pussy available in BH, but how much can one man get through anyway.

If you are interested in anything other than pussy, although BH has nice parks and shopping, it is hardly exotic. If you go to the posh Swassi area (BH) you will probably feel you are in a western-style haven with added pussyclubs. RJ, on the other hand, it one of the most visually stunning cities on the planet. Purely on this point, VM most afternoons or evenings, or Imperial Palace BH from 9 or 10 am should suit.

I don't think you will find much competition for these women. There is more opportunity for the BH women to be matronly in a caring sort of way as you can have quiet rooms. In VM you have background hubbub usually unless you take them to the nearby Canario hotel. But VM includes a fun surroundings element, whereas BH is straight knock-shops near the city centre.

Thanks for explaining your passion, Jonathan! I don't share it, but at least it makes sense to me now, and I hope you find what you are looking for.

Noticing that you've already booked in to SP simplifies things a bit. You can probably get an internal flight to BH (or overnight bus) or same to Rio. One of the advantages of BH is that you can get a hotel, such as the one I mentioned, practically in the down and dirty red light area. You can fill up on pussy and fat asses then walk into town or jump a taxi to Swassi for a refined evening (or back again - the knock shops are open late). There's comparatively little worry over crime or getting ripped off in BH. Bearing in mind it's your first trip to Brasil, BH is a fairly simple side-trip option if you can get direct transport.

For Rio though, you might need to do more planning. Mostly, where are you going to stay? There are one or two hotels in the VM area (apart from Canario - I've no idea if they do a day rate) but they don't speak English. If you go for this option, there's a backpacker hostel I know of in walking distance (but a chance you have to share a room) or you could go for an upmarket hotel in the city centre and commute to VM. There are cheap hotels a short taxi away but you would have the language problem. Rio is enormous - the size of London. BH is a manageable town by comparison.

Or you could arrange a place in Copa and travel the much greater distance daily to VM. Copa also means there is the off-chance you can find something you fancy at Meia Pataca (cafe overlooking the beach).

If you have to change planes or buses at Rio, you could maybe leave your luggage at the airport/bus station and do a quickie trip to VM before carrying on to BH.

Beware of trying to do too much though. My first trip to Brasil took me more than a week just to get acclimatised. Negotiating things on a daily basis in a strange culture where people (at best) only speak pidgeon English can be very tiring. And allow for delays. It is not like in the west where you can just pay money to have something done quicker or reliably on time.

There may come a point where it is all too much and a bit overwhelming. If that happens when you're in Rio, consider treating yourself to a ride up to Sugar Loaf (a refreshing experience). In Rio, it is easy to feel you have died and gone to heaven, and that's even before you start pussy hunting. In BH, maybe get a taxi to Swassi and do some upmarket shopping and dining.

Yeah, there's an upmarket gentleman's club (brothel) that was advertised in the official tourist guide when i was there a few months ago. I didn't have time to go but there are reports on this board if you search back.

Hotel 620 has a big yellow Hotel sign.

Onde Livre is the red doorway next to Relax Fantasy. In the photo, you can see a blue sign to teh left although the name is not visible.

Imperial Palace is the red and yellow doorway in the picture.OK, tomorrow Im going to Rua Guaicurus, because Im Curious about the ruas.

Got out of the bus terminal, walked to the left, strolled up the wrong street, doubled back- the clock was ticking!

for a better hotel that is not too far from the downtown (cheap end) mongering area but in centro amid the main shopping, i found the wimbledon quite reasonable (95r inc b'fast after nominal request for best price). nice western-style luxury feel to it.

the internet facility, in the lobby as i seem to remember, had its moments. there was only one terminal when i visited so if someone else was on it you had to wait or call back.

you've got good connections to the rest of the city and it's bang in the middle of decent downtown. if you wanted to smuggle a respectable looking gdp in you might get away with it (lift from the street level can go straight to your floor - you only have to walk past a couple of uniformed hotel peeps, not reception). rates are negotiable so you have other options too.

I wake up on day 4 at about 9:30, just to discover it is 10: 30, daylight savings having happened overnight, feeling like I have been run over by a truck. My head hurts, my dick hurts, and I give serious thought to rolling over and going back to sleep.

I have properly obtained my IADP from the local AAA office before leaving (Brasil doesn't accept the International Driving License, don't even try), have signed up for all of the insurance Hertz offers, have stuck the Nuvi in the window and off I go.

About 5 minutes after going thru the tunnel, I am very happy to have the GPS as of course I have forgotten it is Sunday and ½ of the streets are closed. I hit detour, Nuvi routes me past the issue and I am off. I drive past the airport, happy to see I am headed toward Petropolis and west I go. I love the road up to Petropolis, Brasil paid the Germans to build it, it is beautiful and scenic. It is just about noon as I get towards the top, I stop in at a little roadside sausage shop I know just at the top. It is a blast to eat good sausages while being waited on by Portuguese speaking Brasileiras wearing leiderhosen!

After a sausage and a beer to bite the dog that bit me off I go. This is the first time I have ventured to the interior, it is rough, hilly and very dry this time of year. The sheer size of Brasil is just amazing, almost as big as the US, with ½ of the people.

Eventually as you roll along BR 40 you come to the iron mines that power Brasil's economy. They are frigging huge, pumping out red dirt 24/7. I stop along the way for some gas, I notice a couple of old, fat women hanging out around the diesel pumps, obviously *****s. I decline to engage them in conversation, thinking even I can do better.

Finally just as the sun is going towards the West I get to Belo Horizonte.

Just a quick note- GPS is a pretty good idea in Brasil, at least the Garmin version, with the added Brasil street maps are pretty good. It is great in Belo, Rio, and SP, it pretty good, but about 50' off the road on the highways, has no idea where you are in any other city or major town and surprisingly is exactly dead on on the dirt roads in the outlands of Minas State. All in all, it is better than the maps you can buy.

I have booked a hotel at the Othon Palace (you can get these really cheap at www.skyauction.com), Nuvi directs me directly there, it is 4:30 PM, and I am on Av. Alfonso Pena, which seems to be s central business route.

I check in, typical Othon Palace, no chance of a guest here, get my stuff in my room and head upstairs to the bar. I go out onto the combo pool/ bar (those of you who have stayed in Rio know the set-up) and have a couple of Choppe's and have a cigar. I pepper the waiter with questions about the scene in Belo, he just smiles and says Rua Guaicurus is the place for you. I have already considered this area after ChristopherD's reports and more than ready to try it out. I must say however I have been to VM in Rio before and didn't care for it, so I am a little nervious.

After several more Choppe's, and the cigar, a wave of fatigue hits me like a ton of bricks, so I decide to go to sleep.

I wake up at 9:30 AM the next day (Monday), feeling much better and wander down to the breakfast. I must say, this seems to be something Othon understands, it is truly wonderful. After eating my fill and loading up on coffee I wander off to the shower. I call down for the rental car and get ready for a day or 3 of tourismo! The front desk calls promptly saying the car is ready and off I go. Now I have decided to go to Diamontina today, but for some reason, when I get in the car I types in the Nuvi, 660 Rua Guaicurus instead of Diamontina. Well, since I am on route off I go, as it turns off, it is only about a mile from the hotel. As I was driving I see the Wimbledon hotel off on the side of the road about 2 blocks from the Othon.

I pull onto Rua Guaicurus, it is about 11:30 AM, and behold it is right by the bus station, there is a Police stand in the intersection and there is a open parking spot right in front of 660! Seeing this as a sign, I park and walk up to the entry. The man just waves me on, sure enough I have to go up stairs immediately. I do so, and Jesus, there are asses, pussies, everything, everywhere you look. I am not sure if these girls work in shifts, or just work til they drop, but almost every door of this former hotel has a working girl standing in it smiling. I cover 2 floors, return to the lower one and ask a little skinny white chick ¨quanto¨? She smile, says ¨cinquinta reals, um hora¨, so I step in the door. 50 Reals! , $30, for a chick that is no more than 20! The next morning I was going to Ouro Preto, so I stopped by Rua Guaicurus, hit the hotel next door to 660 (sorry, I didn't see a number) pounded the first open door I saw for $R40, then went touring. Having thought about it during the day, I decided 660 was better, so I walked down there after returning from Ouro Preto, went back into 660, walked up to the little white spinner I fucked on Day 1 asked her if she was ¨completa¨ and for another R$50, literally pounded the shit out of her.

The next day, I had to depart for Vitoria, the next report will be in ¨other areas¨, but I will say that I think all regular Brasil mongers should get out of Rio, Bunda is everywhere, and even the somewhat mechanical R$50 ass is better than any of the other 20.25 counties I have been in. Does anyone have any idea if the Best Western in Belo Horizonte is girl friendly? I know that it's recently been renovated and is supposed to be pretty decent. Being an American chain hotel I would expect it to be friendly, but it never hurts to ask.

OK, I think I answered my own question. Sounds like Rua Guaicurus 660 is the place to check out. I am staying at the Best Western just off Alfonso Pena near Park Municipal. Looks to be less than a mile away. Is it safe enough to take a stroll down in the afternoon? This sounds like too much fun to pass up.

Absolutely. Belo is quite westernised and doesn't have the determination to be mental that seems a prerequisite for living in say RJ. Guaricus is a run-down area (looks better just after the streets are cleaned and the brothel stairs are washed down) but safe enough. Same for round the station, although that's slightly more hairy-looking at night. The brothels are well policed. The only time I felt threatened was when I had a slight disagreement with a woman. The bouncers politely escorted me to the top of a disused iron staircase where I coughed up some cash.

i put off replying in case someone had better info as i haven't stayed there.

the hotel is several miles out of the centre. if it's in savassi, that is a great area for many things. place to take a girlfriend, non-mongering nightlife and so on. there are some upmarket mongering options you might enjoy (i stuck to the cheaper stuff downtown as i had limited time) and it's a nice westernised, upmarket suburb - reminded me of the u.s. actually.

bh is a fairly big city so i'm guessing the chances people know individual hotels away from the main strips may be low.

bh on the whole is not 'crazy' like rio is. buses travel at a normal (safe) speed, it's pretty safe, and you don't get pestered. posh gentlemen's clubs were advertised in the tourist brochure last year.

if you like swank hotels, the down-and-dirty may not be your scene (you mention rio termas but there's a big diff between 4x4 - think posh savassi - and the 10r places or vm - think bh concrete knock-shops that are walking distance from centro).

if you're unphased by grubby, bh concrete brothels are quite an attraction: converted cheap hotels where each room door is left ajar (with ho beckoning) until you accept the business on offer. lots of 'em. almost next door to each other (see earlier posts).

Search the board (might not be up to date though). Pick up the tourist brochure as you arrive or from any tourist office. Ads in the paper and one or two specialist guides when you get there. If you want to try downtown, you don't need much time (walk in, select woman, pay 30R, f*ck, walk out) - avoid travelling in rush hour though as the roads from Savassi get clogged then.

Stayed at Savassi hotel for R105 single. Small, business type hotel, clean and confortable.

Nice area to stay with cafes and restaurants around. Ask the reception for a nice churascaria two streets behind the hotel. They recomended it for me.
They can also show you,if asked, a few photo catalogues with girls to choose from for R120/hr. I did choose a nice titty student (they all claim that they are students). She arrived within 20 min, service was good but nothing special.

Visited Rua Guaycurus a few times for about R7 taxi ride. Best selection of girls and most clean rooms at #660. Had solos for R15 and nice time twice with two different couples (mulata & blond) for R30 each. I remember I was taking double time doubling the price too. As far as I remember, the papers are mostly escorts. I don't know of an equivalent of the RJ private apartments with several girls, only top end (freely advertised everywhere) and the scruffy end (for which you don't need a newspaper as they're all within yards of each other). Just a quick warning to anyone planning to visit some of the 'hotels' on Rua Sao Paulo. Was there this morning and had a guy follow me about rather close in one of the smaller of the hotels. He was trying his best, in an elephant-esque subtle manner, to get my backpack open. Lucky for me there was nothing of value there to steal anyway but thought it worth warning everyone, especially as the guy seemed to be on first name style friendly terms with the 'security' at the front door and so, i assume, is a regular there. i was certain that sunday night in belo horizonte was going to be a wash out. after an all night flight from the usa via sp and rio, i was pretty knackered by the time i got to the hotel. i am staying at the bh platinum hotel which is in the neighborhood of lourdes. a very nice location in a pretty decent hotel (girl friendly). it’s one of the promenade group.

i scanned the directory and found that the only club open on sunday night was skorpius and at that, it did not open until 9:30 pm and i was feeling a bit bushed after the flight. rather than call an escort, i wandered down the street to one of the local bars. sao paulo has the restaurants, rio has the beach, but belo horizonte is reputed to have more bars per capita than any other city in brazil. i dropped by one of the more upscale restaurant / bars called a favorita (good name) and had the fish (cherne), which was cooked to perfection. it was still early 7:00 pm so i didn’t have any illusions about how i was going to do on a sunday night so i just ate my dinner, had a few beers and enjoyed the evening. the weather was fabulous and the evening was cool (20c) and there was a nice breeze.

The good news about coming to places like Brazil and Russia on business is that someone else is picking up the tab for airfare and hotels. The bad new is that you actually have to work and that cuts into mongering time.

I moved from BH to Rio on Tuesday night. I arrived at the hotel about 10:00 PM (due to flight delays) and my little accounting student was at my hotel by 11:00 PM. What a fox. The bad news (yes, there's more bad news) is that I had a 6:40 AM flight the next day for a day trip to Salvador. So after some fabulous sport humping I reluctantly kicked her out at 1:40 AM realizing that I had to get up at 4:45 AM to make my flight. She's 22 and I am 50, but she was ready for more - you can see why it was a pisser. But I needed the sleep.

Wednesday was a repeat of Tuesday as I had an early flight to Sao Paulo on Thursday and it was another abbreviated session followed but only a few hours of sleep. The pisser of it was that she had to go back to BH on Thursday as classes at the University started up after the break. That's probably a good thing as I could see myself getting very attached to her. The problem with this hobby of ours, is that is cuts across all social, cultural, educational and economic levels. Some of the guys you meet out there make you just want to cringe.

I was on a Continental flight from Newark to Rio via SP and spent the customary one hour on the ground in GRU on the plane. Everyone is anxious about getting the trip over with and wants to get going. The guy who checks the cabin luggage and onward tickets has come by and the onward passengers going from SP to Rio are just starting to board when this "yahoo" across the aisle starts mouthing off about all of the girls he going to bang this week on his sex vacation. And I'm not saying that he was talking to me in particular, this idiot was sort of announcing his intention to the world. If that was not enough, he starts telling us all about his last trip 12 months earlier and actually starts naming names of the girls he was screwing. And all the while he totally oblivious to the families and business people getting on the plane in SP. It was mortifying. Finally the flight attendant had to come over and tell this guy to please lower his voice. And it's not that I mind hearing about his tales because they sounded pretty funny, but the guy just did not have a clue about how to behave in public. Everyone within earshot of this asshole just wanted to crawl under the seat. Unbelievable.

And this is probably the same guy who gets on this forum and can't understand why he can't get a date with a non-GDP in Rio. Duh!!!! I haven't visited New Sag. but Svassi is an upmarket area and you would not have to explain being there. Unless you are seen entering or exiting a place. And who is going to admit being inside to shop you?

As for Guaricus, probably the main thing you might worry about is getting a shower afterwards. If someone was for some reason driving or walking through the area, chances are they could be up to the same diversionary practices as yourself. And you wouldn't dress posh round there so might need to change afterwards.

At the end of the day maybe you have to listen to your testosterone vs your instincts . . .

BH is quite a big city.

It's possible to have breast implants via the belly button. I don't know about Chile, but Brasil has some of the best rated plastic surgeons in the world (that's both general knowledge and the info of a friend in the business).

I'm actually moving there next week.

I've spent 3-4 months living there, and getting "the lay of the land".

It's a nice place to live. It's very industrial, not a very good place for foreign tourists to visit.

I've been waiting on a work visa, and it finally came in, so here we go.

They have an area full out GDP's downtown near the bus station.

Price is R$20. 00 for 15 minutes or so for the better looking girls.

Hotel Brilhante, R. Guaicurus, 660 is the best one there.

There are lots of escorts, but they're pricey. In fact, the general costs are higher than Rio. I guess because there are more tourists there, it's a buyers market?

Hey guys, I would love if anyone has been to New Sagitrius or one of those similar places and could explain the layout and program there. I speak decent to good Portuguese and have been to Brazil 14 times, thinking of heading to BH. One of the reasons is I met a few girls that work in New Sag in Help right before New Years about 2 weeks back, and one I spent some time with March. I love Mineras, and these girls were pretty hot, one extremely hot. I will ask them how they say it works and post it, but I would love it if anyone had any background. I wouldn't expect it to be a tourist place, would love it if it wasn't... but I don't want to make a plan to stop there for a few days without a good backup plan...

I know the place has more bars per capita than any city on the planet, or so it says on wikipedia... but you know... I'd sit in Barbarellas 100 nights a year if I could...

i have been to bh many times and to new sagitaruis about 4 times. ns is a typical strip bar. you come in and the hostess will seat you at a table. she will try to put you somewhere near the stage but i prefer to move back a few rows. basically, there is a stage in the middle of the place and the girls are all required to take a turn at dancing at the main stage. in this regard it's similar to barbarella's in rio. again, like barb's the girls will come back with you to your hotel for sex as there is no facilities on site for sex. it seems that several of the girls who work at ns have their own cars which is a bonus. i may be wrong but ns seems to attract a better class of girl. most of the one whom i have talked with or brought home are either students or have other days jobs working in shopping malls selling shoes or clothes.

some of the other clubs worth visiting are sayonara on rua aimores, 05 and cristal on rua rio grande do norte, 1470. both are a little less classy but have some nice looking girls. you are right however when it comes to the mineiras. they are gorgeous and they like to think of themselves as the sexiest girls in brazil and will tell you that they are the most passionate. of course, the best fun is to ask them to prove it. ;)

but i would also caution the need to interview. unlike the girls in rio, it appears to me that the bh girls don't automatically do bbbj and are reluctant to be "completa". maybe that was just my luck but you need to be specific in what you want in order to avoid disappointment and frustration.

another good club to visit is "stop girls" on avenida amazonas, 1533. imho it's about as close as you will come to a help type of environment. it's not a strip club per se and is more of a boite.

if you want to take a walk on the gritty side, take a stroll down to rua guiacurus and find the hotel brilliante. this is the bh answer to vm located near the bus station. it's an old basic (but surprisingly clean) hotel with tiny rooms. each room has a girl sitting inside with the door open. wander by, make a deal, and enjoy yourself for 30 minutes. but - don't take your shoes off. best to go in flip flops to avoid strange fungus!!! and bring your own condoms.

bh has a very different feel to it that rio. i really like the mineiras and have a few on speed dial whom i met in rio but live in bh. absolutely worth the visit if you feel so inclined. check out the promenade hotels. good price and girl friendly. the caesar business will try to stick you with a "guest fee" for your girl but the promenade hotel will not. www.promenade.com.br . my personal favorite is the promenade platinum in lourdes. close to plenty of restaurants and bars.

Errrmmm . . . well he didn't say he was middle aged. Not everyone on here is and if you want to visit non-monger clubs and bars with young people you probably know you are pushing it if your age looks way out of place. For mongering, the high(er) lol end is more in Svassi as opposed to the (very) low end around Guaricus. I like Svassi for the shops but the other place for dispensing genetic material lol. But as I said, Belo is easy to navigate. Anyone checking it out would find out these things in a day or two at most. ;)

It's one of the nth myth concerning Brasil. And it's pure BS. What would be the reason for this? ... there's not more girls in BH than anywhere else!!!. And if there are very definitely gems to be found, the roads are not lines with them .. personally I even find Minas women rather average. The ratio of really smokin girls is not that great. Belo H is definitely not hot-babe Eldorado. Goias is better in that respect. Anyway if your standarts (as one can suppose from your username) are "Moscow standarts", you will be very very disappointed in Brasil.

Keep also in mind that Minas is undoubtedly the most conservative state in Brasil, and girls behave accordingly. Contrarily to your city of reference, wild and liberal women are not a commodity in Belo H. FYI, Minas has the largest born-again xtian evangelist population of the country, with some 35% of the population being part of the Evangelical community.

Also beware of the "brawling culture" in Minas (which is even stronger in Goias BTW). I have witnessed many a fight in Savassi area (that is why in every big club, there is not only a good dozen of official bouncers, but also some unofficial undercover bouncers, who can beat the hell out of people without the club's owner being processed and sued). In some clubs there's so much fights that it is literally grotesque. Another fact is that Mineiros being usually not really cosmopolitan - to say the least - and extremely nationalists (as most brasilians), there's a pretty ample anti-gringo distrust feeling in Minas, that can sometimes even be blatant hostility.

Travelling to Brasilian "redneck" Centro-Oeste states has its advantages (low costs, good music, girls prettier than in Nordeste, no Dickie Does gringo mongers, enjoyable country & western atmosphere, nice old mining historic towns, beautiful countryside, ect), but undoubtedly also its inconveniences.

If the barfine had not been so steep I would have stayed!

Once outside I was confronted by a taxi driver wanting 25 to take me home. I pointed out that it had cost me less than 10 to get there but he kept on with the 25. I walked 50 metres up the street and got one for the right price!

This guy took me to Sayonara where it was more in my price line 50 cover 45, I think, barfine and negotiated 200(all night) for the chick. But it was late ish and I assume the best of the pickings had already departed.

Not sure about Cristal but I would think it would be similar to Sayonara.

Should we assume from your question that you like the upmarket experience rather than the down and dirty? If I was staying just one night and wanted to do the Sagitarius -type thing, I'd probably look for a hotel in that area to save the hassle of getting back into the centre.

One the other hand, if you want the unique mucky-pup shag-on-a-slab experience that is almost uniquely Belo, just hang out in the concrete buildings of Rua Guiacurus and thereabouts. After they shut down in the early hours, there are still stragglers and even dodgier looking holes of delicious hell towards the bus station. See how many you can get through.

Quite apart from pussy of course, Belo is great for regular nightlife, upmarket shopping, playing chess, wandering through the gardens and museums, or just feeling slightly 'European.' A beautiful city.

Bitchmaps suggests there are mid-range establishments. Svassi is very pricey. Guiaricus is like a sprawling, re-housed Vila Mimosa. But many of the girls that charge 1R a minute will offer a phone number and hotel meet-up. The range of girls is considerable. Some in that area make VM look positively upmarket. But, like VM, it occasionally includes respectable, attractive and reasonably intelligent young women. I've met both decent service and integrity. Sometimes the care with which they maintain their room is a clue.

Belo has much to offer. If money is no object I can imagine people having a great time at the likes of Sagitarius. But to make a trip there with that end in mind??

EfI just finished a visit at Sayonara, about 7-8 girls, 4 girls I would rank high among them, the rest were so-so.

I was given company by a gorgeuos little thing who asked for 350R for 2 hours at my hotel, I said no and eventually she asked for 200R. Hardly any customers in the place so I thought she had reasoned with herself and decided to charge a fair price, and I was about to go for it when. I was told that, it did not include 30R for Taxi nor a 50R barfine, and it was discounted down to an hour.

Needless to say that I parted after that. I don't like having the feeling of getting cheated, nor do I think that sex after such a discount would be worth it. Total damage was 180R, 3 beers for me, 3 drinks for her plus the entrance.

Think this was expensive, but that may be the going rate in Belo.

you should be fine in the guairicus area if you don't mind the drop in standards. i wouldn't advise trying to negotiate, but it's mostly a set rate and a very nominal amount. the blocks vary quite lot, as do the individual rooms and levels of service. it's walking distance from the city centre. i don't know much about the many addresses on bitchmaps - that could be more time consuming to check out, so would be interested to know of any you find worth a visit. totally agree with chris. imho guairicus is best early. i have been there three times. one in the late afternoon / early evening, once near midnight and once at 9:00 am. the hotel brilliante (nearest the rodoviaria by the elevated traffic station) seems to be about the most up-scale (if you can call it that). the late night visit was a waste of time. most of the girls had gone home and what was left was.....pathetic. the 6:00 pm session was surreal because walking the halls was like trying to make your way to the toilets at a football match. it was shoulder to shoulder guys walking down the halls peering into doors to see what was being offered. there were all kinds of guy on their way home from work and other guys on their dinner break. being so close to the busi station you have to be prepared for just about anything. it was pandemonium.

Christopher, took your advise and dropped down to Guairicus this morning, around 10 AM. Just went into a couple of the hotels, it was crowded, an endless stream of guys in all of the hotels.

Passed a nice little hottie, but when I turned back, another guy beat me to it. So don't think about it too much.

So I was back in Belo and decided to take a late walk on a Wednesday night up to the corner of Contornos and Amazonas. Nova Brut is the place. A whisky bar with loud music, in a residential type house. Open daily from 14 to 22. As you walk past the cashier, you enter into a tiny little room and about 7 working girls, of which 4 looked a bit over the hill and 3 looked to be in their very early 20'es. Have been reading your posts with interest. Some people have asked about Stop Girls!

On Av. Amazonas and you should look for a bright red building. Stop Girls opens late close to midnight and, before open it is kind of hard to C. You have a gas station though almost across the street. I cannot remember the rate but, I think it is around R$150 for the girl. This is a good place with decent pricing.

For the ones talking about Rua Guairicus:

The better places gere have some college girls financing their studies as well. The girls are working two shifts 8am to 4 pm and the second shift is 4 pm to close to midnight. These girls are paying rent for the room and, operates independently. The nicest place I believe is #660 charges about R$125 per shift and, at least before they use to have a waiting list to be able to rent a room.

As you might understand I am an American however, I have been living back and forth in Brasil as well and, currently I am in Europe but, will be back in BH Thursday.

Another thing to explore for you guys is some of the smaller cities in Minas Gerais. Ipatinga is a great place and, have some girls studying and, financing their studies as well. In Ipatinga you have only two boites named FAMA and Scala but, beside that you have two other areas to find GP,s. The first and best one is right on the main highway that passes through the city. i arrived on thursday and got situated at my hotel in centro part of belo horizonte.

thursday night

stop girls (avenida amazonas 1513)

2nd day, I went to ouro preto. It is a gorgeous colonial town. Very hilly so bring comfortable shoes. Stayed there for half a day. Came back to Belo Horizonte.
