Hey guys,

Thanks for the inspiration!

Now one of my buddies is trying to sing a different tune, but I think he's still faking on me. Now he's trying to say he can come for 5 days possibly, but he can't escape his girl for any longer, plus he has to lie to her and tell her he's going to Miami, not Brazil. *sad*

I wanted to ask you guys, does any of you have any information on this particular Accor Hotel/Flat (basically short-term apartment rentals):

---
PARTHENON MEIRELLES
Rua joaquim nabuco 166, Fortaleza br 60125120, Brasil - Fortaleza - Brazil
---

I've got great quotes on this place and was even able to get a few good online reviews from satisfied customers, but I guess what I really wanted to know was exactly how good it is in proximity to action and ease of mobility. (can I get around fairly easy from there). Is the pussy close to this place? (that's what I really want to say)

I know that it's got everything else I want in terms of luxury (with MANDATORY bed service daily), and the guy has sent me about 7 pictures of inside the apartment, the view from the balcony, and even the lobby. I was adimant about seeing the place BEFORE I committed to anything.

He's guaranteeing me that I will be allowed to bring guest back to the apartment (with ID of course), because this is considered a "flat service" and not a hotel stay, also free breakfast (per usual), airport transfer, and I talked him into throwing in a cellphone for the length of my stay. Hell, i'm sure he's shaving off a cut of the money, why not make me, the customer, happy here.

Clubs I have on my hotlist so far.

Pirata (Monay Night MUST)
Drago do Mar
Mucuripe Club
Zipi (i think?)
Desigual?

Any others?

I will probably be posting DAILY frontline reports from Fortaleza, to keep all my fellow mongerers inspired, and i'll try my best to equip each report with my take of the day.

Silent, I really feel a little bit jealous for the fact you are going there, but I think I may be of some help.

The place to stay, should be a flat, you may choose a hotel for the first night (whatever you choose will be ok, but try a nice one, since it will be just one day).

Then you should go to flatshop, as millions of times people recomended in this Forum.
There you will apointed with several flats, and simply choose one.

Of course if you move throughout Av. Abolicao, in direction to Iracema, you will find several buildings where you can try to enter and ask if some apartments are free. This may seem confusing but there you will imediatly understand, what buildings are renting flats to foreigner. Flatshop will be your best try.

Bars, are all in the same zone in Iracema, its impressive, dont worry you will find them. Zipi and Desigual are in that iracema zone, but the big bar there, its Kapital (changed the name recently). Dragão do Mar, is a cultural zone near iracema, where you have theaters, and some bar (non-pro, mainly for Brasilien common people, but of course you may pick up someone depending of your ability). Pirata is in Iracema (near the Hot bars), but it has a different environment, very big, so you will find common people, and also some pros, but its not the ideal place for hunting

In the afternoons, you have always a Pro/non Pro scene in Praia do Futuro, 8 Kilometeres (20 Brasilien reals by taxi) from Iracema.

Enjoy, and behave.

No, I recommend this one:

http://www.sunflower-hotel.com/

It is a beautiful very clean very well-kept Pousada run by a European man with Brazilian staff. He will give you all the information you need on where to go, what is hot, the latest gossip with the girls, and best of all, will not even care that you are fucking one teenage girl after another throughout your stay.

I highly recommend, and it has many fotos and centrally located. I very much enjoyed my stay there.

Also do not forget to take some young horny bitches to Canoa Quebrada. When I was there, there was an old British man in his 50s and he had with him 2 teenage school girls as his sex slaves. I do not know where he got the, but they were very cute! Such perky breasts and well formed bundas (asses)!! Anyway, he said he had come for 5 days and was now in his 2nd month of vacation!

Your breath will be taken away with the paradise places in Ceara. It is so different, including the women's friendliness from the South of Brazil, it is like another country. For some reason, Ceara girls also have a reputation of being flirty and horny. The girls in Pernambuco (where Recife is) are not like that...they are more conservative.

Also, there is a difference between Bahia girls and Ceara girls. Ceara girls have less black blood (although some still have of course), so you are more likely to find girls who look like Salma Hayek or Jay Lo than you maybe Beyonce or Hale Berry.

Many people prefer the pousadas, i never tried it. I really prefered to pay less, for a whole flat just for me. Also with security, and parking facility.

The only minus point was the fact, you will have to get your own breakfast.
But its its good people have diferent views, this way we all get pleased with our lodging options!

I will now repeat some something I said some months ago.

Dont put your expectations too high.

Yes its true, there will be millions of girls, but the average level is somewhat low (for my personal taste). No doubt you will find 9's and perhaps some 10's, but you will have to work really hard on that.

But it will be great, I will return there as soon as I can.

Breakfast in the Apartment.

Well, I used to have some buddies who would make the girl they spent the night with fix breakfast before they let her go home in the morning. One of these guys even made the girls clean his apartment (saved on maid service I guess).

Just make sure that you have food in the kitchen, because one of these guys told his girl to fix breakfast, but forgot that he was out of food. He heard her leave & thought that she was pissed off & left without getting her money from him, so he just rolled over and went back to sleep. A little while later, he heard noise in the kitchen and went to investigate (butt naked). The girl explained that there wasn't any food and she really didn't know how to cook, so she went home and got her mother (who was there, staring at his dick since he wasn't wearing any clothes). He claims that he grabbed the girl and had one last quickie while mom was cooking breakfast.

If it was me, I would have tried to get mom to join in.

I was in Fortaleza with a friend last Fall for about a week and a half. I loved it, and I thought the garotas were better looking than many posters believe. My friend went back this Spring - about 5 months later - and says there are totally different girls in Iracema now than before. Is the turnover that quick? What happened to the garotas that were in Iracema last Fall? Where did they go? Do other cities, including Rio, have such a quick turnover also? Can anyone explain why there is such a quick turnover? I am just curious.

Tomb

Henry:

About the quick turnover, the reason is that Fortaleza is MUCH closer to "the backwoods" than Rio is. In other words, what's happeneing is that poor little girl from some village in the sticks needs money for whatever reason (usually becuase she had a kid at age 16, but could be she wants a new stove, she's bored with her life, Daddy needs a new goat, who knows), so she goes to the big city - Fortaleza - to make money. Which 9 times out of 10 means hooking in Iracema. So she does that for a few months, gets the money she needs and goes back home.. or onwards to Recife, Rio, or Sao Paulo. Because if she gets a "taste" for hooking and decides that she likes the money / lifestyle, she soon says, why the hell should I be making chump change in Fortaleza when I can make "real money" in Copacabana, Sao Paulo, etc.. (from there they go to Spain, Italy...). So that's why the turnover, basically Fortaleza is a way station. And that's why less turnover in Rio, it's the destination (although Rio has it's own turnover dynamic).

Yes, Brazilian bitches have become a big export for the country of Brazil. There are many to be find in the brothels of Portugal, Spain, and Italy. They are also being exported to Japan to be used as sex slaves for Asian men as well. Many of the Brazilian girls I met had already been offered sex positions or even marriage by foreign men from all over the world, including Holland, U.S. Germany, Japan, Korea, and Italy.

Most of the prostitutes were just waiting for the right offer to come along, because of course they are scared to go to another country in the beginning. But after making dollars and Euros and Yen, they ultimately cannot really resist.

The worse are the ones who have already been abroad and come back, like many of the ones you will find in Help Disco in Rio. I would not touch those with a 10 foot pole. Either they are hardened to the point of have zero feelings, or they have STD. Be very aware in Rio de Janeiro, and come to Fortaleza for the less experiened ones who are just starting as junior bitches BEFORE moving to Rio and Sao Paulo as professional hookers.

hi guys,

just back from three weeks in for. been there 7 times and each time i get back i find the whole scene getting worse and worse. four or five years ago girls were everywhere, happy to hook up with a foreigner to spend some time together and, obviously, get some money (everyone needs food, ok?).

30-40r$ a day were the word, but many times they just wanted a small tip at the end of the "relationship".

expecially in the last year, since a new disco was opened (dom angelo, now kapital), everything has turned to business. every given night the same show going on, with first time italians or dutchmen laughing at the table with some hardcore hooker ready to rip them off. plenty of young tourists, even under 20yo, acting as they are in ibiza or something like that.

now price is always negotiated (and this is an advice, as many girls will threaten you when problems come out in the room), and it's 100r$ minimum, with some asking up to 250-300. the overall quality is poor, in praia de iracema, around cafè do mar and kapital there are around about 200-300 girls, with 50-100 male tourist (this goes for late april-early may, in august ratio goes up to 1:1 and girls are more than happy to go back to the disco to pick up another you when you're "finished").

as i said 200-300 girls are there every night, monday night, when the pirata is opened, the number increases to almost 500, i think, but cuties are 5-10, with no 9, and 1 to 3 eights. man, i was desperate.

inside kapital music is loud, where they play forrò, and louder inside the disco itself, on the upper level.

girls' attitude is terrible, some girls living in a "favela" acting as princess, with tourists behind her trying to make her sit at their table, girls shouting in the face of some poor guy, same old lesbians i know since 1999 playing pool, pimps for their female friends.
i found all of this very sad, and i admin i felt uncomfortable many times in this vacation, maybe as i never felt before.

it's a market, all part of a business, with girls travelling to europe 3 or 4 times with 3 or 4 different partners speaking to you in dutch or italian, with clear signs of 1 or 2 babies in their past.

beira mar is full of beggars and people trying to sell you the most unuseful things of the world, with hookers, mostly 3's and 4's, looking at you.

last week police shut down bikini bar and europa bar because of some **** girls inside with fake documents, looking for some money or, worse, to frame some tourist threatening to call the police if you don't pay. some foreigners were fined 400r$ for not having their passport, and were taken to the police station all night.

cearà governement is looking at what is going on at praia iracema, and kapital and cafè do mar are still opened thanks to their lawyers. one of them is a local politician, too (hey, this is brazil after all). during last 4-5 nights there were policemen (with the shirt "poder judiciario") inside the disco, checking the scene.

i did not enjoy my last time in fortaleza, and i won't go back because of these reasons, better go for luck in some other place in the world.

bye all.

Tatase,

Sorry to hear about your ruined vacations. The way you described it made it sound like Rio. I am sure you can still find places in Brazil that looked and felt like Fortaleza before it became comercialized by international tourism. Just takes some looking and adventurous spirit.

Any visitors going to Fortaleza should be aware of the news that came out tuesday, where a total of 27 out of 70 tourists inspected were found without their passports in Iracema beach by an operation started by the local police to target sexual tourism. Out of those 27 only 7 were arrested and fined 900 reais which they must pay if they want to ever step back into Brazil. The other 20 were able to send friends or girlfriends to their hotels to bring them their passports and avoid arrest. In accordance with brazilian law, any foreigner must show his or her passport once solicited by any authority. The police will target most bars where foreign presence is most noted, mainly those suspected of allowing prostitution, specially with minors. In the process, one bar and a club were shut down. The local police commander said these operations will be repeated specially monday nights, when more cases with minors prostitution is noted. Watch your backs in Iracema.

Are there some updated news from Fortaleza? Silent? Are the situation as bad as some previous posts indicate ? My second summer vacation in Forta starts 27. June. Should a person with normal, healthy goals avoid the city and travel somewhere else in Brazil? I appreciate “fresh” opinions very much. Sorry for my English (my Portuguese are even worse)

hi guys,

i had a very bad news from a girl i knew in fortaleza during my last visit.

the police fined about 40 foreigners (especially italiens) that were in disco kapital without passport; twelve of them were with **** girls, so they were brought to the prison. the disco was closed by the police.

the girl isn't a pro and doesn't go to the disco; she had news watching local tv.

i can't be sure about all of that, but seems that now there are too much problems mongering in iracema.

any information from other mongers is welcome.

Fortaleza Update.

Reliable sources told me yesterday that an italian tourist died in Fortaleza due to drug overdose last week.

Since then police presence in Praia de Iracema has increased, and crackdown vs tourists is heavy by now. Almost every night there are cops checking documents and fining people without.

Bye.

Thank you boys for this info.

Its sad to hear this, former Dom Angelo/now Disco Kapital was my favourite place during my last stay. It was so steamy, hot and easy, just to line up behind those forró/salsa/techno dancing chick, dance a little against her beautiful butt, and she was mine, at least for that night.

But shit, how hard can it be to bring a passport?

Lately I have been flirting with some non-pro girls on MSN. They claim to be students, and are able to write in English, which makes everything more easy for a North – European. Some photos are received and some of them even have a web cam in their girls room. I guess they are from the middle class of Fortaleza. I have several telephone numbers and some promising agreement of meeting some of those cute 18 – 20 years old students. I have used the same method several times in Estonia, Europe, with great luck, just meeting some hot teenagers one week-end, just for friendship and sex. I am aware of the danger next morning, when some of them like to go to shopping and receive gifts, but I try not to fall in love with them.

In the beginning they where very sceptical, but after some talking, they seems to melt and become more and more personal and (girl) friendly. We will see.

I am 42, but I like to believe I am 32 on the dance floor and 22 at the “nach-spiel” Especially when having a mix of 7 - 8 Caipirinha and Viagra onboard !

I enclose a photo from Tallinn, Estonia, related to abovementioned.

Hello Everyone! This is my first post to the forum. To all the past posters - THANK YOU - and I hope this post will be of some use to future travelers to Fortaleza.

Being my first trip to Brazil, I did not know what to expect. I heard many stories of people's travels to Brazil. Always praise of going and regret for coming back. I felt the same as I got on the plane to and from Brazil and am already doing everything in my power to get back as soon as possible. I wouldn’t have classified my trip as a mongering trip due to the fact that I was visiting an old friend from college. From people’s stories on this site, I knew I was in for a treat and Fortaleza met up to my expectations. However, this site provided great information during my travels as to where to find women and in general what to expect.

As a point of reference, I wanted to give everyone some stats on me. I’m 26 years old from the US. Decent looking and in shape and have taken a couple months of Portuguese classes. Not enough to converse freely, but enough to communicate. I went to Fortaleza to hang out with a good friend from college that is from Fortaleza and works at a nice hotel there. I wasn’t so much of an outsider and that might have made things easier for me.

To start off, I wanted to comment on Tatase's comments on Fortaleza:

“Girls' attitude is terrible, some girls living in a "favela" acting as princess, with tourists behind her trying to make her sit at their table, girls shouting in the face of some poor guy, same old lesbians I know since 1999 playing pool, pimps for their female friends. I found all of this very sad, and I admin I felt uncomfortable many times in this vacation, maybe as I never felt before.”

My comments: I found the girls really friendly and interested to meet someone. When I walked into a club, I usually got stares from one or two girls. I would pick the best looking one and within an hour I was making out with them in the club. My friend from Fortaleza took me to some clubs (Ole Club and ArreEgua) that seemed to not have many “garotas de programme” and I did feel a little more attitude. But when I got through the communications problems, they were as nice as could be.

Beira Mar is full of beggars and people trying to sell you the most unuseful things of the world, with hookers, mostly 3's and 4's, looking at you.

My comments: Also, Beira Mar has lots of prostitutes. I was propositioned by a cute 17 year old. I told her no because she was too young and she showed me an “obviously” fake ID and said he was actually 19 years old. This was right after she said she was 17. I ran from that as fast as possible. It is true, there are a lot of peddlers, but that seems to be normal in Brazil.

My experiences with the women in Fortaleza were good. Over a 3 week periond, I hooked up with 5 girls, I had sex with 3, and I made out in a club with 2, and during my last week there, I hooked up with a cutie for several days of GFE. We ended up having sex morning noon and night. It was like heaven. Wake up to a BBBJ, then sex, and then I would shower while she made me breakfast, and then more sex. All I ever paid was for dinner and going around Fortaleza. I paid went to a “bath” house one night on recommendation from a friend and paid for some pretty good sex from this super hottie from Curitiba. But I thought the GFE sex was many times better than what I paid for.

As I read more of these posts from people about the cops and etc, it makes me wonder. Fortaleza may or may not be like it use to be, but I had a really good time there. My advice to anyone thinking of going is TO GO! I didn’t meet anyone there that regrets it. There are many hot women to go around and the only way you would get sex there is by being blind, deaf, and without genitals. To be honest, I wouldn’t even count those people out. Where there is a will, there is a way!!!

Here is my list of preferential clubs in Fortaleza and the night to go to them:

Monday – Pirata
Tuesday – Pagode Mais o Minus
Wednesday – Ole Club – it’s a womens club until 11:30, so go a little before and you will have the pick of the litter…TRUST ME!
Thursday – Croco Beach
Friday – Mucuripe
Saturday – Lots of Places – Depends on what you want
Sunday – Orbita

Hope this helps some of you out!

I must agree with the bad news: a friend of mine was in Fort last week and he told me that he was stopped two times in two days: both of the times he showed the copy of his passport but wasn't accepted. The first time he paid R 100 at the police to avoid to be taken to the station; the second time (the same policeman!!!) took him to the station and had to pay a fee. I know it sounds incredible, but he insisted in not taking with him the passport just because he talked with other tourists that had the passport stolen in the disco. Anyway after the second esperience in the police station (he said he was treated like a shit!), he decided not to go anymore to Iracema (he said that it wasn't so good) and tried some nights (which had the problem that are pretty far from the center and expensive but at least without police giving you problems.

The final comment is that Fortaleza is very fastly becoming like big towns, dangeruos and expensive, but without the good choise you can have there (he told that the comparison between good looking girls ad tourists was 1:5 and that even the so so looking garotas wanted at least 150 R!!!, unbelievable just one year ago).
Hope it helps, bye.

Cyber Stylz,

first of all I'm happy for your vacation, after all the only important thing is to have fun in life, as it seems you had.

Then let me explain to you and to others reading this forum some things about Fortaleza:

1) normal girls in Fortaleza won't even talk to you in public, as too many sex tourists have been there. They would be marked as prostitutes by their friends. Please believe me, the more you think she's a good girl, the more she is good in acting. I fuck 1 girl every 2-3 months in my country, and why in the hell when I am in Brazil I get to fuck 2 a day ?? The answer is obvious.

2) 3-4 girls in 3 weeks@Brazil is what I call a nightmare. 10 would be acceptable, 15 is good. But this is obviously my opinion.

3) People like you, who can't understand Portuguese or so, can't see what's going on around, can't get what girls say to each other, can't notice signs they do to their friends, and so on. When the girls sees your attention is going where it shouldn't go, then they say something stupid, and it all ends with a laugh. I've seen thousands like this.

4) When I'm in Brazil, I want sex, man. I mean, BBBJ is entry level,
anal is mandatory (it's Brazil!!!), 2 girls with 1 man is recommended.
As I reported in my post many hookers now want simply you to pop, and to get away as soon as possible. Well, maybe you were lucky with your girls, but generally attitude increases when quality goes down in Fortaleza.

5) Girls' quality. I found extremely hard to find a girl above 6. On any given night@Kapital and other places, there is a 7 every 200-300 girls, and she goes down to 4 if I consider her attitude.
Many of them get a newbie at his first appearance there (and they are like sharks for this) around 10:00PM and at midnight they're ready for round two, or to spend the gringo's money with her girlfriend (BTW, did I mention that 3-4 out of 10 pro's in FOR are true lesbians ??).

But this is only my point of view, based on all the times I was there. It's like Cuba, one goes there now, fucks a 6 of 19 years, and gets the time of his life. I'd probably mark that as my worst experience in the world.

Howewer, as I said, I'm happy for you, but FOR is no more my destination.

Hi guys,

Dear Doc Bill,

Canoa Quebrada seem to be a former "flower power place". Beautiful beaches, rather quiet area (compared to Forta.) and about 300 kilometres south of Fortaleza. There are serveral non-brazilians whom own a pousada or restaurant there.

How to get there? Well, as you are on it. Search the net for different options. Some will pick you up from the airport and bring you back as well.

Or if you like adventure, you go to Forta., rent a carro (try to find a good 4x4) and have a ride!

I wrote a sex-review of Canoa in the "Other Areas" section. Look for it. Got to say, Canoa is good for beaches and a little smoke, but not really for sex (IMHO). Very small. But I was there mid-week in middle Fall -- maybe it's better on weekends in the Summertime (but what isn't?). Expect a lot of couples.

Happy Hunting,

Tatase,

You raised some interesting points in your previous report re: Fortaleza.

I, like you (it seems) have spent a lot of time (too much) time in Fortaleza over the last few years.

The first time it was fun, second trip was better because I was with a good mate just going crazy, but on my last trip there (last month), I noticed how much the quality of the girls there has decreased.

Loads of girls with teeth missing (or in one case just 1 tooth left), fat, really short (4'5), or just plain ugly (all in my opinion ofcoarse).

One place I have found hot girls was called "The Whiskey Club" (not in Praia Iracema). These were more like the kind of girls I have found at Help (Rio), but of coarse wanting more $, charging by the hour, all that type of bullshit that comes along with F**king glamours (generalisation of coarse)

But even with saying this, I must point out that there are "down to earth, attractive" gems to be found in Fortaleza (yes even at Kapital, Cafe Del Mar etc). Maybe not like the shit hot girls I have found in Rio, Sao Paulo or Florianopolis, but still very do-able, with good attitudes

I would much rather pick up a pretty good looking chick, F**k her for hours, (with her not wanting to bail after 15mins, one pop), mess around and have a bit of fun, than a glamour who is a straight up *****!

But my conclusion is although in the past I have had a good time in Fortaleza, I don't think I will be returning there.

Think I have burnt the place out. Other places need to be explored!

But please if you are planning a trip there don't get bummed out by my comments, they are just that, mine.

Rex,

My last vacation was "partially" saved with some sessions with girls from Clube del Whiskey (I did Monique, a gorgeous Blonde from Sao Paulo, and Michaela, skinny brunette with huge breasts), and some sessions with girls from www.sexomais.com.br.

These are call girls, who ask for 200-250 R$ for two hours. Some will do almost anything to please, it's just a poker game. Many of them, when I was there, couldn't get a customer/week, so are more "open minded". Others just show up at you with that "princess attitude" I just can't stand.

I would recommend (well, if you are there, but not worth a trip) also a house called Betty, located in an area just outside Fortaleza called Eusebio.

Here you will find 15-20 girls, all above 6, with some 7 and 8. Even some girls doing photo works for the brazilian version of Playboy work there. These ones go for 500R$, but I saw one S*T*U*N*N*I*NG. The "normal ones" go for 200-300R$ for 3 hours. Drinks, a pool, tables, and ususal sh*t.

Negotiations here are possible for having the girl for more days.

I would not recommend another house, called Patricia, went there 10-15 times in years, and never find a girl I liked. Howewer these ones go for 100-150R$.

The place I liked most was a place near the mall of Iguatemi, called "370". But the owner was killed, and the place is dead.

There was a nice pool, and a stage where girls danced and performed shows.

Hope this helps to guys going there,

Bye.

Dear Gentlemen,

Two guys and I are traveling to Fortaleza in the middle of August for roughly two weeks. We're new to the area and are wondering about the best way to meet quality women (7 and up)? Rather than going out and having to deal with searching for new ones every night, we're thinking it might be better to find a few good ones and negotiate for four or fives days worth of commitment and perhaps travel up north with them to Jerico and other beach towns. Can anyone recommend an internet service that we can use or what is the place with the best quality? Also, how much would something like this cost?

Okay, first my apologies for neglecting my mongering duties, life has dealt me some serious blows, and I haven't been able to make it back here since my trip to Fortaleza back in May/June. I had A BLAST though in Fortaleza and i'm about to list some things.

Okay, short and narrow.

I stayed at Parthenon Mereilles, it's right off Avenida Abolicao or whatever. there's a Banco do Brazil DIRECTLY across the street from the place, location is excellent, as it on one block from Beira Mar and the beach. there's a grocery store a few blocks up the way, and the McDonalds is one block over and one block down, there's a Pharmacy 2 blocks away also. *great location!*

I mostly did tours of other beaches in the region during the day through a tour company called "OceanView Tours" (85) 219-1300, my tours consisted of Cumbuco, Lagoinha, Marro Branco, Prais das Fontes, Capanga, Centro das Rendiras, Canoa QUebrada, Mundau, and Praia do Futuro. all of those were EXCELLENT, and I was able to partake in all of the things designated as these particular beaches. horesback riding, parasailing, windsurfing, jaganda rides, 4-wheeling on the beach, buggy tours of the sand dune, sand surfing. you name it, I did it.

Other times I hung out on BeiraMar and Mucuripe during the day, with the occasional stint at Coco Beach (on Praia do Futuro)... lots of men and their pro's, but it's still a sight to be seen, and the food is pretty good here too.

I went to Beach Park (what a waste.)

In the evening, I went to this GREAT Churascarria down near Praia do Futuro (I went 5 times the food was so good), but only the "higher class brazilians" went, as the price of dinner was $53 Reais. which was nothing to us (foreigners), but apparently was alot for the working class brazilian family of 3 or 4. (or so the 2 girls and the guy of the front desk at Parthenon Mereilles said)

the nightlife. WOW. I don't know where to begin. there are soooooo many options. I'll try to go night for night, or spot for spot. hmm. first a rundown of all the places I went to. Kapital, Cafe del Mar, Alo Brazil, Europa, Bikini Bar, Africas, Armazen, Orbital, Mucuripe, Drago do Mar, Zippi... EVERY NIGHT IN FORTALEZA, there is something fun to do!!!

Cafe del Mar, Europa, Bikini, and Kapital are all right there a few steps from one another. it's like an intersection in Iracema, and they're all just little bars basically that turn to dancehalls. Kapital being the largest of the 4, and Cafe del Mar being the 2nd largest, i'd say you have to cover them ALL in a one night span, and you WILL have fun.

there are also some pretty good eating places there also, we ate at Portofino (italian spot) quite a few times, their seafood platter ($55 Reais) was EXCELLENT and served 2 or 3 people, but we were eating entire ones to ourselves. LOL (it comes with alot of different things, but we just wanted lobster and shrimp, so you got about 6 small lobsters, and about 20 shrimp). the best.

I went to Pirata on Monday night, supposedly the best night in Fortaleza, I was mildly impressed, it was more a brazilian couples setting with people of ALL AGES (18-60) enjoying the local customary sound of forro. I stayed about 2 hours, taking LOTS of pictuers, and broke camp on over to Africas. dead as hell in there, there were about 10 pro's (ALL UGLY) just waiting around for a target. I got out of there quick also.

anywho. you can't get bored in Fortaleza, as there are WAY TOO MANY options.

I must say, the place I enjoyed the most was Mucuripe. Mucuripe is an EXCELLENT club. this place is absolutely HUGE, the doorman said that they don't allow women who openly work as "pro's" in the place, there is about 5 or 6 different rooms where you can enjoy different types of music, and in the main room (the one when u first enter) you can enjoy a live band and sit back and relax with friends. further back, there was an open area with a waterfall wall. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED. it was really nice and the staff were very courteous. the women were supposedly the "upper class" brazilian class, but they gave me and my buddies lots of love, and surprisingly, alot of women we met in Mucuripe spoke english. not great english, but you could tell they were either educated, or being educated in it. (this is where I met the younglady who hung out with me for about 7 days. in Mucuripe. like I said, never paid her a dime in her hand, I paid for meals and drinks and she accompanied me on various tours, but that was it. I honestly never gave her one dime in her hand, for 7 days of fun, sex, and more sex!)

Armazen and Orbital both looked like the youthful brazilian crowd, but they were still quite fun. watching the young brazilian guys court the women, and they do ALOT of making out in this place, it was like when they one song came on, everyone would just stop dancing and start kissing. I found that quite funny.

I was able to have dinner in a number of restaurants all throughout the city, but I don't remember the names of them all, we were able to get a driver, so he would recommend places and we'd just go on impulse and try them. I must say, the seafood in Fortaleza is 100% better than the seafood I had in Rio. the Steaks in Fortaleza were awesome as well.

I really wasn't too active in the "pro" scene in Fortaleza, but there were MANY MANY MANY to choose from in the Iracema district at night (Zippi, Kapital, Europa, Bikini, Cafe del Mar). alot of them also hung out on Beira Mar Avenue during the day sitting at the little beachside huts having auga de coco, or a cerveja, and they were QUITE friendly. downside about Beira Mar, is that you get bombarded with people trying to sell you things, and the cutest little kids you can imagine begging you for $1 reais.

I think I might have given away about $300 Reais just to the children alone.

Anything that I may have missed, that you'd want to hear about, please ask, I know I can't touch on EVERYTHING in one post, but if your question refreshes my memory about certain things, then i'll try to answer as quickly and honestly as I possibly can.

I will add more as I can think of it, and will also be adding pictures possibly later today, or tomorrow.

Feel free to PM me with any questions about upcoming trips.

Next up for me, Salvador Bahia.

Oh yeah, a few other things.

Exchange Rate was AWESOME when I was there. I think I was getting $3.17R - $1US. so I didn't complain. I took out about $700R every two days or so, and lived a great life in Fortaleza.

Crime. nonexistent. now I don't want to give anyone a false sense of security, but again, i'm 6'4, 252 black american (ex basketball and football player), and I walked around most places seemingly oblivious to small things going on around me in the streets, yet I remain wary of alot of things. nothing even happened or looked as if it was going to happen. With the company of a cool guy we met who works in Iracema named Wesley (who speaks GREAT English) me and my buddy (6'2, 250) walked up in the fishermans favela (right above Iate Plaza) and we met a few of the folks up there, and sat and had cervejas with them, they were REALLY COOL. despite what everyone originally says about the "favela's" we had a blast hanging in there with the locals. This being said, I WOULD NOT recommend anyone to do this, unless you can grasp basic portugues, and know 100% that if anything goes down, that you have an exit plan, and you're fully confident that the person you go in with, WILL NOT leave you, should the shit hit the fan. that being said, i'd recommend the average tourist stay out of the places, even though the people of the fishermans favela treated us very hospitably, I don't know how they'd treat the next person. They took pictures with us, and we bought them lost of beer. It all worked out for the best.

Not that I would suggest anyone else be in Fortaleza as if nothing can happen to them, but we never saw any crime, and when asking other ppl who lived there of crime, of course they all had a story to tell, but nothing was every DIRECTLY RELATED to them, every story always was about something happening or involving somebody they knew.

Shopping. Iguatemi, and Aldeota Malls. that's all u need to know. Iguatemi was EXCELLENT. lots of stores, with PLENTY of fine brazilian hotties walking around, and you will visibly stand out as a tourist if you have ANY HEIGHT around this place. many of the ppl in the stores would constantly ask me and my buddy if we played American Baketball (basketchball is how it sounds when they say it). Oh yeah, the women who work in the mall will also approach you and want to take pictures of, and with you. They will also give you their numbers freely in hopes of hooking up with you later in the day, or night.

Make no mistake in assuming you are some hot and sexy tourist, most of these women just relish the experience of hanging out with someone who speaks FLUENT ENGLISH in hopes of bettering their english, and if you happen to luck up on some ass, then cherish the moment. *smile*

I'm going back to Fortaleza same time next year. (right before Memorial Day, and staying until around June 15th, that would give me about 3 weeks on the ground in Fortaleza)

There were little to no tourist there while we were there, sure there were some, but not nearly as many that will be there in November. we met a few Dutch guys that wanted to hang out with us, and we hung out with them 2 nights. they spoke NO portuguese, so it was hella funny watching them try to communicate with the women. LOL

Trying to "blend in" was useless, we were the biggest guys down there, aside from our dutch buddies, one of whom was about 6'7, and rather goofy. The people of Fortaleza don't stare at you as much as the people do in Rio, but their curiousity doesn't go unoticed, and they're a little bolder than the people of Rio, with how they just openly approach you and ask you any question they want to know an answer to.

We commonly would have guys approaching us, asking to be photographed with us, and women asking if we played basketball, and can they party with us tonight.

Breakfast. you can either opt to eat in your apart/hotel, most places offer a breakfast service with the room/apartment rental, but we opted to go over to Brasil Tropical Residence to have breakfast some mornings. MY GOD the food was EXCELLENT. it's buffet style for $20 Reais, and you will certainly get your fill over there.

I guess I will get more into the women in my next post. They are not as beautiful as the women in Rio and Sao Paulo, but they more than make up for it with sheer exuberance and efort.

The younglady I met in Mucuripe, WOW, she gave an EXCELLENT BJ, and of course did anal, and bi with other women. She did whatever I wanted to do, and was very excited just to hang out with me and my buddy. She cried when I left, and begged me to keep in contact with her, and also wants to stay with me the next time I come to Fortaleza.

It was an amazing experience that I cannot wait to relive.

In terms of overall fun had, i'd certainly choose Fortaleza OVER Rio, but that's generally because I don't go on vacation purely looking for women to bed, but for an overall experience. As I said, I was with one younglady for about 7 days, and although we often (4 times) invited another younglady to join us for sex, what I most enjoyed about Fortaleza was the general vacation and getaway experience.

the beaches, the food, the people, the fun, the clubs, it was all absolutely remarkable.

Great stuff Silent. I prefer non-pro freebie sex too. Some people complain that GFs end up costing you more than pros, but my experience has been the exact opposite.

How could I forget general pricing.

The pricing in Fortaleza went as follows:

It was all up to your negotiation skills, I had girls hit me with $150 Reais, all the way down to $30 Reais for str8 sex, and then they leave. It's totally up to you.

If you're trying to take a woman off the market for the entire night, look to pay somewhere around $80-$150 Reais, depending on the girl, and your skills of negotiation.

I believe the most I paid was about $120 Reais for one I would consider to be one of Fortalezas top options for the entire night (along with the girl I already had), so that counts as a doubles match with 2 women, for only $120 Reais, and woke up the next morning under 2 beautiful women, and proceeded to bang them both for the 3rd time again in the morning.

I believe I might have had the upper hand though, because I routinely let the younglady I was with do the picking, and she always eyed the best looking and seemingly cleanest girls she could find, for our little experiences.

If you're a single guy, just looking to get your rocks off, and get back out and party, I actually had an experience for $15 Reais once while there, after buying the younglady a drink in Bikini Bar, and promising her more action later that night, I got the younglady to give me a BBBJ (and swallowed) in a taxi as we rode around Avenida Beira Mar, and the taxi costed me $7 Reais. After I was done, we headed right back to Iracema, where my other younglady was waiting paitently for me in Bikini.

I swear, Fortaleza has won me over, Rio was a straight up sex den, full of prostitutes, and EVERYTHING you did was about the money, but I felt different in Fortaleza.

What a life!!!!

Silent,

Good report on Fortaleza. But the girl you picked up from Mucuripe is PRO. Gringos should not assume that "normal" Fortaleza girls screw tourists for 7 days and help pick out other *****s to sleep together with. Come on. The Nordeste is NOT like that.

Rather, she was likely a girl "fishing" for a rich patron boyfriend, or even husband. Or maybe a pro who happened to like you and want to spend time with you without charging.

As much fun as Fortaleza can be, people should realize that there is a difference between REALITY and FANTASY. REALITY is most girls in Fortaleza would rather slit their wrists than parade around with a tourist and be known as a "*****" by the rest of the city.

Luckily, there are plenty of girls who come from other cities to make money, meet gringos, and provide GFE.

Dear Rio Nut,

There have been recently a spate of very negative reports on Fortaleza. The situation has changed there on the ground, especially concerning police presence and the checking of passports. But it is in light of these facts that I found Silent's report to be a counter weight to all these negative reports, and I applaud him for this.

It is also to be remembered that for Silent and a bunch of other people, Fortaleza is the total package. Inexpensive, great beaches, nice weather, good food and infrastructure, low threat of crime. What's not to like?

However, Fortaleza is not the monger's paradise that it was 10, or even 3 years ago either. I have written and bitched and moaned about the changes in Fortaleza for several years now, though I have always had a wonderful time and keep going back, because it is the Total Package. I was there last this January and will try to dig up my post elsewhere on the changes in Fortaleza and post it here as soon as I find it.

Still, I'm happy to see that Silent had a great time in Fortaleza. If only because I expect to be back there again in December.

Be Good,

Gauguin

Rio Nut,

You don´t know how right you are.

My girlfriend, a Fortaleza girl, formerly a part time pro in Rio, was mortified during my stay in FOR, refusing to visit me in my hotel and insisting that I stayed with her family. The thought of anyone seeing her near a hotel with a tourist terrified her.

Silent
08-26-04, 02:47
Gauguin, you make EXCELLENT points my good man. I went into it knowing that it would not be the "mongerers paradise" we have all come to love and seek out in places like Rio and Sao Paulo, but in relative terms, it's also 100% cheaper (cost of living arrangements, transportation, eating expenses, merchandise) than those places, and in terms of women, and make no mistake, a nice 8 or 9 can be found in Fortaleza with a little patience and perserverance.

In Rio and Sao Paulo, there were just many many more to choose from, so you could pick up one dime around 9PM at night, get your fuck on, dump her down by 11:30PM, pop a V or a C (Viagra, or Cialis) go to Help in Rio, or Love Story in Sao Paulo, and be on your way back to the apartment with another dimepiece by 2AM and keep her for the entire night. The only difference is, you wil spend dam near 350% more for that exact episode in Rio and Sao Paulo, than you would have spent for the same episode in Fortaleza, and the only thing you've realistically gained, was relative beauty in the woman you choose.

As stated, I didn't go to Fortaleza seeking out a Brazilian Goddess, I went down to have an overall great vacation, solely to enjoy the vivid and surreal getaway of Brazil, good food, great beaches, daytime fun, night-time fun, and still tons of hot and sexy Brazilian bitches to choose from. You've gotta love it.

RioNut, make no mistake, I would NEVER be anywhere in Brazil thinking i'm some kind of super-tourist with the magic stick for a dick. Trust that I do realize that ANY WOMAN in Brazil who courts me and allows me to have sex with her and trot her around town, almost certainly has an agenda, even if it is something as simple as being in the company of myself, and whomever i'm on vacation with, to gain rewards of a possible longterm friendship (where she can ask for money or other means of support further down the road), or hell, to get a few free meals during the day, and few free drinks at night, it's all a hustle.

My reasons for running the story off in the report the way I did, was to shed light on my affinity to pay over the course of the GFE thru courting expenses, rather than pay money upfront to jump up and down on the girl for a few hours, then off to seek out something new to jump up and down on for a few more hours.

I would suggest any mongerer who's more into settings, relative beauty of landscape, hospitable environments, and serene enjoyment of an entirely different culture than his own, to check out Fortaleza. Again, you may sacrifice the beauty of Rio's and Sao Paulo's women, but like my uncle told me (and he's all Brazil'd out, he was going for 15 years before he got married to a Brazilian woman from Minas Gerais in 1994), Rio and Sao Paulo are the docking stations for Brazils finest *****s. Don't get confused and think that all the beautiful women you meet IN Rio or Sao Paulo are FROM Rio or Sao Paulo. No, they just migrate to the best locales where the chances of making the most money in their past-time profession and their beauty will benefit them most. Rio and Sao Paulo are the Pussy Selling Capitals of Brazil so to speak, so it's no real science as to why those two places are where you will almost always find the most beautiful women in Brazil. During the course of your pay-for-play with these women, engage in a little portugues conversation and you'll find that on average 60% of the working girls are from other small ass little cities or slums all throughout the various parts of the country of Brazil (and those numbers increase to about 70-80% during Carnival), who have left a child and/or children at home with relatives/parents to reap the spoils of selling pussy in the big tourist cities.

I will be back in Fortaleza as I stated, next May, enjoying the beauty of the cities, the serenity of the beaches, the excellent food, and the average to sub-par looking, but relatively FREE pussy.

Viva Brazil.

Rio Nut,

I think the girl that Silent hooked up with fits the definition of a Garota de Programma as I knew it to be 20 years ago in Fortaleza (and other parts of Brasil). Back then, the program girls would hang out in the same bars and restaurants as the pro's, but where the pro's would set a price for their services up front, before going off to do the deed (they preferred STR, but would negotiate for TLN), the program girls would rarely, if ever discuss money - they preferred a LTR where the guy would basically take care of them as long as they were together. The GDP, was essentially a "girlfriend for hire", but her payment was usually in material goods rather than cash. Many of the GDP's would actually get upset if you gave them cash. They would happily accept gifts (pair of shoes, clothes, etc), they would accompany you to dinner, clubs, etc. But, if you tried to pay them off with cash, they would act hurt and say something to the affect of "outro programma" or "I'm on another program". If you wanted to give them cash, you had to say it was so she could pay for the taxi home (then she'd take the bus and pocket the rest), or tell her to buy herself a present. Somewhere through the years, the definition of a GDP seems to have shifted to include any woman who has sex for money, whether she's as described above, or strictly professional or semi-pro.

Most of the GDP's I knew, way back when, were from Fortaleza or villages in the surrounding area. They would work as pro's in Belem or Manaus for 2 or 3 months per year, save up enough money to live on in Fortaleza for the rest of the year, while living the life of a GDP in hopes of snagging a husband. They would typically do this for a few years before they became jaded and headed south to Rio or Sao Paolo, where they would become a full fledged/ full time professional in the Major Leagues of Prostitution - life as a GDP in Fortaleza was essentially considered the Prostitution Minor Leagues.

Silent,

That is a very good analysis you did of Fortaleza and Rio de Janeiro/Sao Paulo. There are many gringos who are not as astute as you, so I have to commend you on your sharp observations of Brazilian life.

Yes, life in the Nordeste, and particularly Fortaleza (which due to its tourism and European flights has become very cosmopolitan) is strikingly different than Rio de Janeiro or Sao Paulo. The people are simpler, life is slower, prices are cheaper (if they are not, then you are probably getting ripped off!), and the women are more..."naive"...although you must still stay on your toes. While a woman from Rio may see you as a customer or even worse, a "mark", a girl from Fortaleza is more likely to see you as a "shining knight."

So as a previous poster said, the total package of Fortaleza does really provide a very positive experience. Where else can you eat crab and beer all day long, enjoy the most beautiful beaches in Brazil, and have beautiful 18 year old morena beauty suck your dick (BBBJ) on demand and replace her with another one every day if you wish?

Adultj,

There are ATMs in the banks and some brazilian banks do service US or foreign accounts, but at a surcharge. If you don't have an account with HSBC, I suggest you get a checking account with a Master Debit card. They have an enormous number of bank branches in Brazil and the ATM withdrawl is at market rates with out a surcharge.

The Sunflower is nice, but they charge a fee for each garota you bring back to the room. A few blocks down is the Continental which also has a pool and they don't charge for the girl (as of 2002).

Good luck

I spent a few months in and around Fortaleza recently and I'll been following along with this discussion. Now that my account has been upgraded and I can post, here is my two cents:

The good points:

1.) Absolutely gorgeous weather. If you go in "dry season" (May-November) this place has absolutely the best weather of anywhere I've ever been in the world. 80-85F degrees every day, cooling sea breeze, not humid, and no clouds or rain. In two months there, it was only cloudy for about 30 minutes. The sun is strong enough to get a nice tan but not so bad to be a risk of burning every day.

2.) Beautiful beaches in Ceará, outside of Fortaleza. MILES of pristine, untouched beaches. The sand and the water aren't as nice as the Caribbean, but these beaches completely natural and gorgeous. It almost looks wrong how undeveloped they are.

3.) It's cheap. If you think Rio is affordable, go here.

4.) Adventure/extreme sports. Good place for any sort of surfing, wind or kite surfing, trekking, 4x4, paragliding, etc.

5.) The beachwalk in Fortaleza is nice. Praia Meireles/Iracema has a beachwalk that I feel is every bit as nice as Rio's, with the kiosks, bars, and people working out.

The bad points:

1.) The people are damn ugly. In my personal opinion, I did not see an attractive looking native in my two months there. While many claim that beauty a subjective personal preference and YMMV, I believe that there are certain characteristics of beauty that are the same in every culture (symmetry, youth, health, fertility, fitness, status, etc.) and these folks just do not have them. Additionally, the locals of The Northeast seem to be quite discriminated against by other Brazilians for being stupid, slow, and lazy. I also heard a great deal about how ugly their accent is, which I cannot appreciate myself. I can only imagine that going to Fortaleza is like going to back-water Arkansas for someone from NYC or LA.

2.) The mongering scene is not impressive. There are no termas in Fortaleza. There are only two sites worth checking out: "Betty" or Pousada Aconxego is a 45 minute cab ride out of town. It is decent because they don't let girls from Ceará work there. It's a mix of girls from Bahia, Rio, The South, and a few other states. The other, Whisky Club, is a take-out bar in Fortaleza that also has a mix of out-of-state girls. In either, you're likely to find something to keep you happy for a few days, but this place is no Rio. In my opinion, the often mentioned square of clubs (Kapital, Afrika, etc.) in the heart of the tourist section of town is not even worth going to. It is probably the most awful display of mongering I've ever seen in the world. The only thing more shocking than the lack of quality in the local girls is the horde of young, good-looking, and stylish Italian and Dutch mongers that flock here for some unknown reason. Only go mongering in these clubs if you're the type of guy likely to be pleased with the bottom 20% of Help!

Khoofoo, you are a damn right, I have the same oppinion about Fortaleza like you. It´s a good place to spend holiday, but the locals are ugly like hell. The people are in average very small, girls have a beer belly instead of a backside, the head is right on the shoulder, without a neck and something similar like a waist is unknown there.

Khoofoo,

You wrote down with incredible accuracy my opinions of many trips down there.

The things about young Italians and Dutchmen are the same I wrote some times ago in this same thread.

Glad not to be the only one.

Sometimes I felt sad when I saw some early 20's guys with the ugliest *****s available in the Kapital or around Iracema.

It's cheap, that's true. But nothing more.

PS: A good friend of mine living there since 1994 died in an attempted robbery in avenida Abolicao some weeks ago. His name was Maurizio (short, blonde hair, tanned face italian), and he rented apts and changed money down there. For those who remember him. He was a good unlucky guy. R.I.P.

I don't understand the repeated dismissing of Fortaleza. It's got one of the best sex scenes in Brasil. I've been there twice (a week each time), and on any given night you've got about 500 girls to choose from, all in the 100R range. Motels abound, drinks are cheap, weed, all-nighters, funky music flip-flops and menage a trois for 150R. WTF? No crime to speak of, no taxis to take, etc.

I think it's the best small-town scene in Brasil. It compares to Rio and S.P. w/o all the b.s. Really. Read my earlier reports. I think I stretched about 20 girls there over the period of a week. All very cute, too -- and I have high standards (e.g. I wouldn't do most of the women posted on the "photos" board -- but that's just me).

JWadd,

Maybe they're trying to scare people off so they can have it all to theirself.

My old stomping grounds (Fortaleza) are definitely at the top of my list of foreign destinations to visit whenever I get my business sorted out so I can start travelling again. I haven't been there since sometime before they built the McDonalds and Pirata's was a brand new club.

Guys,

I have to step down from what I said much earlier about Fortaleza. (been there in febr. 2003 for 3 weeks)

Sure purely as a sex scene it's heaven...cheap...many women...beach...parties etc.etc...God I truly loved it.

But IF you realy are looking for quality women and dito looks you are at the WRONG place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you realy want to see (and fuck!)pretty girls go at least down to Rio,SP or at least to Recife.

Not to mention Colombia,Venezuela,Peru or Dom. Republic..!!

Johan007,

I haven't been to Brasil for 15 years for a multitude of reasons I won't go into here. Just have a lot of fond memories. I know things have changed immensely in that time, but way back when, I preferred Fortaleza over Rio due to the more relaxed atmosphere - Rio was just too big for me, too many people trying to rip you off, etc. Fortaleza however, while it is also quite large, always seemed like a small town to me. Besides, many of the girls on Copacabana got their start picking up guys at the Biera Mar barraccas in Fortaleza. I used to drink at Mabs when passing through Rio (Used to have at least a 12 hour layover in Rio when flying in from the USA, headed for Fortaleza) - at least half of the girls that hung out around there were from Fortaleza - only difference was they were a bit more jaded and they charged 3 or 4 times as much because "this is Rio".

I've never been to Peru or the Dominican Republic, but I would say that my one trip to Cartagena Colombia, while loads of fun, was less enjoyable than Fortaleza - lack of familiarity? I lived in Fortaleza for almost two years, only spent a week in Cartagena. Same goes for Venezuela (spent two weeks - two different one week trips - in La Guaira, with a few trips up the hill to Caracas), lots of fun, but not as relaxing as Fortaleza.

More than once I wrote about this issue. Fortaleza was the only place I went in Brazil, and perhaps this is stupid, but if I return to Brazil , I will go to Forta again.

I liked many things, I felt safe, I even travelled in the local buses, when I rented a car, things were ok also, I just had to pass with the red light at night!

Things were definitly cheap, the food, the lodging (an apartment), and of course the highest price for a girl was 100r, and I really think i could have payed less (this was 1 year ago), I just was not in a mood to argue and the price seemed reasonable.

It was a really nice time, but, I have to be honest, the quality of the girls was really lower than my expectations, so i felt compelled to write again, and agree with people like johan 007.

Perhaps one day I will go to Rio see what is good quality.

So, if you are wondering about where to go in Brazil you just have balance all issues (prices, girls quality, safety), and make up your decision.

Hi Cash works,

I was in Cartagena too last year in october for 4 weeks.
Due to circumstances (I was at that time engaged with a colombian girl) I could NOT monger. (she never let me out of sight for more then 30min..!!) HOWEVER the streetvendors in Cartagena are a MAYOR PAIN IN THE AZZ!!!!!GEE I hated them....:-(

I found also Cartagena very relaxing and never I felt unsafe or threatend by locals. (but then again I speak spanish and travel low profile)

Sure Forta has to offer many great things....the food was indeed very cheap but compared to the variaty of the colombian cuisine it was rather average. (I like the idea of the socalled "kilo-restaurants"in Forta...!!)
Lodging was far cheaper in Forta then it was in Cartagena..!!!!
But on the "fiesta"side...I realy doubt that fortaleza can beat this. I found many Brasil girls quite agressive...in Cartagena they are more relaxed.
However the beach was far better in Fortaleza then in Cartagena...but this is IMHO.

However in Fortaleza I saw more hoorehouses,...which I like more then pick up a girl from the street.

If you stay in the coties in Colombia it is "safe"....however I made a busride (to sobral) in Brasil...which lasted 4.5 hours.(one trip) In Colombia I would never have done this. The "travel-by-land_ situation is just too unsure and too dangerous for gringos. (and even sometimes for colombians too!!)

One backdraw must be made to Rio (and also SP)....those places are MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE!!! Lodging,food...and certainly the hooks are far more costly. And yes...the women there TEND to be more picky then in Fortaleza...;-)

Did you ever try DR for ST sex holiday????? I think girls there are far more pretty then in Fortaleza...and the prices are only a little higher. Besides that you can have girls from pich black...up untill neary as white as I am...and all in between!!

Johan.

Johan007,

I definitely had a good time when I was in Cartagena, casinos & clubs were definitely unlike what was available at that time in Fortaleza. I really liked the hotel I was in, the "Caribe hotel" or something like that, it's an older hotel with a lot of character. I had a "Jr. Suite" in the old section of the hotel. Large room with a king-sized bed on a raised dais with a perfect view to the shower, which had a glass wall separating the shower from the bedroom, so after having sex with your girl, you could lay in bed watching her take a shower, nice show!

One of the things that made my time there less enjoyable was the kidnapping issue - Cartagena, at that time (1988) was the safest place in Colombia, but everywhere else, gringo's were getting kidnapped - even in the cities, Rio Hacha was the worst apparently, so I guess that may have been lurking in the back of my mind.

Back then, Fortaleza may have had a few, as you say "hoorehouses", but I generally got all my girls off the beach (Biera Mar) or occassionally from Africas (Club, which I think is still there, but maybe in a new location?). I didn't really like Africas that much, it had a low ceiling and was always very crowded, which made me kind of claustrophobic. I found it more relaxing to hang out at a barracca on the beach or Baio de Dois (a restaurant/bar which I don't think is there anymore) and pick up the girls when they came out of Africas for a bit of fresh air.

I've never been to the DR, but I've been thinking about it since it's closer. A non-mongering friend of mine used to go to Cabrete every year for wind-surfing & always tried to get me to go, but I always had a conflict when he was heading that way.

Johan007,

Ciao if I understood well in your opinion, Recife is better about women than Forta? I was in Recife 23 days in march 03, and I saw only few women about 8-9 rate, most of them about 5-6.

And the only good place was Sampa.

There I met a group of guys came from Forta and they told me that much better in Forta, more clubs, better quality of women.

So I am thinking to comeback there and not to Rio, so how you compare Forta and Recife?

Thanks,

Luca

Hi Johan, old house how are you?

@Lukasek
About Forta and Recife. Forta has a much bigger scene, but from the quality of girls I prefer Recife. With quality I mean that in Recife are the more pretty girls. From performace I would say that both are equal. Beach and prices for Lodging is in Forta better.
I was several times in Forta and I liked the most to pick up the girls in the clubs, like Desequal, Africas, Cafe del Mar, etc. It was not difficult to found there a girl, often they approach me, but it was difficult for me to find a very good looking girl. They have many girls in the range from 3 - 6 some 7 and only a few 8 or better.
Such girls had mostly long time clients and they were often surrounded by many customer. Was not easy to get them. I often went at home without a girl, just because I don't want take a girl whose I found not pretty.
In Recife the scene was much smaller, but the girls were more pretty and so I had every nigth a good looking girl.
So from point of quality sex, Recife is IMHO much better.

Has anything changed on this? Last time I was in Brazil, my travel agent was saying something about that they were maybe going to have direct flights from the US to Fortaleza. It is a pain to go all the way down to SP just to come up again. I would like to do a US-Rio-Forta-US circuit.

Thanks for any info.

What you think about more specific?

I can say now the girls are more like europe standard for the time for the quality of sex and the quality of the girls are realy bad, and the quantity are half of 2 years ago.

In a night you can see about 200 girls but no more then 5 are 7 in quality or over and they ask 200 reais for no more then 1 hour.

Need more information?

I think you lying Patata Chips,ok the quality its not like rio but its really ok.And you say the girls want 200 for 1 hour thats bullshit,Every girls i met stay over the night and i pay 50-100.But its ok that you say that because it keep the tourists away from fortaleza.I dont want alot of tourists in fortaleza,And especially not rich americans.I dont want that fortaleza become like rio in prices, its so expensive in rio.

Spent a week in Fortaleza in mid November and was very impressed - I had heard horror stories about how the scene had deteriorated there and found them to be untrue. The bars and restaurants around Praia Iracema were jumping. Lots and lots of gals going back and forth between the different bars, before ending up at Kapital late at night - at least two hundred plus chicas to choose from each night. It was great to sit on a second floor of a open air restaurant, watching the parade of garotas below, going from bar to bar, looking for targets to hit.

If you are looking for tall, thin, white skinned blondes, I would not recommend Fortaleza. Most of the women were rather short (155-170 cm - 5' to 5'6") and had skin ranging from very light brown to dark brown and hair in various shades of brown and black as well (a few peroxide blonds too). I would rate the gals at about 66% in the 4-6 range and 33% in the 7-8 range with a couple of 9's in there as well. However, with 200+ garotas each night, there were more than enough gems to go around. I found that, some nights, it would only take me 5 minutes to spot several garotas worth pursuing, and on other nights, it would take me 30 minutes. Most were the 18-24 age range.

Most spent the night, but a few left at about 5 a.m. to get home before their kid(s) woke up. Depending on when they left, and how good looking they were (whether they were 7s, 8s, or 9s) I would pay them between R120-200. GFE was had with all of them.

Having done several diffent garotas, I finished up my last couple of days with a gorgeous little medium brown skinned 19 yr old that I met at Kapital - she was about 158 cm, 45 kg (5'2", 100lbs) and loved sex. Paid her R400 total from midnight on Saturday night until noon on Monday. Lost count of how many times we had sex over those two days and nights, GFE the whole way. Spent Sunday afternoon with her at Praia Futuro. She cried when she left on Monday, as I was packing my bags for the airport.

Praia Futuro on the west side of town was great to hang out at during the day. Lots of great bach front bars to hang out at. I recognized lots of garotas de programa hanging out there as well. I also recognized many garotas during the day shopping on Av Monseiur Tabosa, the main shopping street about four blocks in from Praia Iracema.

It is a different scene than Rio or Sao Paulo, but a fun one none the less.

I have talked enough about the low quality of the girls in forta, but 200 R$ for one hour it really seems overpriced, in terms of the situation 1 year ago. We will wait for other reports to confirm this new data.I was in Fortaleza for a week in mid November - I don't agree that the quality of girls was low. And anyone who pays R200 for an hour is a fool who needs to learn to negotiate. If you are looking for tall, thin, white skinned blonds, I would forget Fortaleza. But if you want a fun time, a great bar scene, inexpensive sex, and some great beaches, try Fortaleza.

The bar scene around Praia Iracema at night was a blast. Lots of girls walking the streets, and going back and forth between the various bars along Rua Dos Tabajaras, before ending up at Kapital. The women in Fortaleza tended to be short (150-165 cm; 5'-5'6" or so) and have very light brown to dark brown skin. They were mostly latina looking, with very few white skinned or black skinned/afro-brazilian garotas. The garotas also were quite young, 18-24 or so in age, but many had obviously had had a kid. I would rate the women to be about 66% in the 4-6 range, and 33% in the 7-8 range with a few 9's thrown there in as well. But with more than 300+ garotas working each night, there were more than enough beauties to meet the demand. I had no problem finding several likely candidates to pursue - some nights it may have taken 2 minutes, other nights it took 10 minutes, to spot several beauties to pursue.

I regularly picked up thin good looking 18-20 years old (in the 8 range), paying them R100-120 for the night, with the total cost depending on looks and how long they stayed. Most stayed all night - from midnight - 1 a.m. until about 9 a.m. or so, but two wanted to leave at about 5 a.m. so they to get home before their baby/kid work up. Negotiated all of this up front, and they got less money - as it is harder to do a morning quickie at 5 a.m. than at 9 a.m.

I also met up with a great looking 19 year old with dark brown skin and long black hair. She was about 155cm and 45 kg (5"1", 100 lbs). We were together from Saturday night until noon on Tuesday when I left for the airport (she did go home briefly to get different clothes). I paid her R300 total for those three nights, plus paid for her food and drinks when we ate. We spent all day Sunday at Praia Futuro, went out to dinner, etc, etc. I lost track of how many times we had sex over those days and nights. She was always eager for more, and cried when I had to leave for the airport.

I will agree that the scene in Fortaleza does not compare to the overall quality one would find in the most expensive, high-end boites/thermas of Rio and Sampa (especially if you like white skinned blonds), but there are lots of gems to be found in Fortaleza at great prices.

Remember, those girls are models -- and benfit from makeup, lighting, air brushing, etc. A friend of a friend (he's German) claims to have dated Claudia Schiffer's sister when he lived in Germany. This guy's a crazy-rich 6'6" pro-skiing German who I've personally seen land a bunch of 8s and 9s -- so I believe it. The point is (and he always talks about it) is that the prettiest girls -- the ones who can have anyone at anytime -- consistently want what they can't have. Play a little hard-to-get and you'll get 'em every time. Boy did I get off the subject!

Hello Mongers!

I have just read a breaking news in an Italian website about a police crackdown both in Fortaleza and Italy. The crackdown is connected to the sex tourism in Brazil.

It seems that some Italian policemen, in collaboration with the Policia Federal of Brazil, travelled in Fortaleza in November under coverage, acting as normal sex tourists.

The policemen attended all the bar/sex scene in Fortaleza for some weeks, taking pictures and videorecording the people with the garotas.

It seesms that they also discovered a network of prostitution involving minors.

The Italian and the Brazilian police arrested today some people connected with the sex-tourism business (also some travel agents) both in Brazil and Italy. They also arrested some tourists accusing them of having looked for sex with minors.

The crackdown is still in action.

As the Italian media always look for scandalistic news of this type also to keep away the public opinion from the discussion on the actual political and economic problems of the country and as many policemen and procurators know that they can easily gain glory, media exposure and career advantages with this type of operations, I would expect a big noise on the media about this story.

The risk, for some mongers, is to be involved in the police operation and maybe face a judgement even if they were not involved with the prostitution network and never had sex with minors.

There is also another risk: to appear in TV in any pseudo-journalistic broadcast claiming to denounce the sex tourism in Brazil. For sure the videotapes recordered by the police will be passed to the media to give more visibility to this police crackdown and to give more glory to the policemen/procurators who prepared this crackdown.

I think that sex between responsible and legal aged people (for money or just for pleasure doesn't matter), is a free and personal choice, which should not interest the governments and the law enforcement. That's why I advice the people travelling for sex to be always wise and responsible, avoiding every possible involvement with minors.

If you are not sure about the age of the girl, always check her ID. Be careful that in Brazil and especially in Fortaleza there are many fakes ID, used by minors that want to enter the bar scene but are not of the legal age.

Brazil is full of beautiful girls who are in the business and are of legal age too, it doesn't worth to risk.

The Brazilian government, since Mr. Lula is the President, is now trying to give a different international image of Brazil, and it's trying to kill the idea that Brazil is a sex tourism paradise, expecially in the Nordeste, and especially in Fortaleza.

Of course, the mayor problem in Brazil is not the sex tourism: the growing violence in the country (more than 60000 homicides this year), the high corruption rate of the political and social institutions, the poverty and the inequal distribution of the revenues, the ecological disasters in Amazzonia, are all problems which are much more important than some middle-aged Americans or Europeans who arrive in the country looking for cheap sex.

We also have to notice that the sex industry targeted to the international tourists is just the smallest part of the whole sex business in the country: Brazil is full of prostitutes of all ages everywhere, and most of them are for Brazilians customers.

But this type of police operations can give the international public opinion the idea that Brazil is really changing: it's a real cheap commercial advertise for Brazil.

So I would expect other crackdowns of this type in the next months.

Of course these crackdowns will not stop the sex business: most of the girls who are involved support whole families with the earnings made with the tourists and they know that attending the bar scene is the only way to have a better life and, maybe, one day marry a wealthy American or European, the same that gaining the lottery, for a poor girl in Brazil.

So Mongers, pay attention, be always wise, and always have fun respecting the law.

Elmo

Here are some pics of two Fortaleza garotas I did while there. Both of them are thin, cute 20 years olds with nice tight bodies. I had all night sessions with each of them for about R100-120. I would rank both of them as "8s".

As I noted in my earlier report, there are good looking garotas in Fortaleza - quite a few gems amongst all of the various available gals there.

12-15-04, 11:39
Hi mongers,
I am from Italy, from Roma as my alias suggests.
Every Italian newspaper and magazine shows on the first page texts and pictures about this Italian-Brazilian police action.
Same in the TV.

Sexual tourism - it doesn't matter if it is with legal aged people or not - is now described in these media as one of the most abominable vice in the developed world.

Media report of horrible 50 - 60 y.o. men taking advantage of poor unemployed women forced to be prostitutes and selling their body for a piece of bread .

Otherwhere you can read of family's fathers neglecting their own families in Italy to spend the all money for frequent journeys to Brazil and continuing sending money to the local prostitutes when back at home!

Of course a lot of pictures, testimonies, interviews.

The Italian police is now oriented to investigate also in Cuba,Thailand,S.Domingo and wherever Italians are used to spend holidays.

I hate to impose on anyone's vacation, but you never know when someone will check in. If so, please try to give us an available up-date on the mood and ternor of how things are going in Fortaleza, considering all this new bad press.

I doubt if any of this will slow down the influx of Itillian tourists over the hollidays. Tickets are already bought, reservations and deposits are made or have been paid. But still, I do wish that they'd stop picking on Fortaleza, one of my favorite destinations. I've been going there for years and years and have seen many changes, but it still remains a happy place for me. Especially at New Years.

This news doesn't affect me directly. I tend to make my own way, so I should be fine, but the new high profile presence of even the Local Police I have found to be intimidating (which is why I left Natal after a couple of days)...with police everwhere eagle eying you for just being a single man...well, it does take the wild fun quotient out of the equation.

I've written about this in Fortaleza also, in June, I believe. It is just weird for the Police to be standing outside of Cafe do Mar or across from the Europa Bar at formal parade rest. So you leave with a couple of babes on your arms and...it is just an unconfortable feeling.

I still, unlike most people, have the option of bailing out on this trip over Xmas and New Years if I want. Maybe go back later when things are a little more normal.

Any thoughts on the situation or up-dates would be appreciated.

Thanks

Find other hot sides. But out of Fortaleza cause Lula and some italian judges lookin'for easy glory.

In Italy in the least yers it's a normal use of many policemen and lawman and journalist to find easy glory in a "war"against prostitution as if prostitution is the first world problem. So now Italy is a very hard nation to find cheap *****s for men.and now they are exporting this easy crusade in many world reknown hotsides as Cuba and Brasil with ilegal and hpocit investigation.

Yes evey cop and politicman in Italy goes with *****s , but of the very expensives and prived clubs, so they are not afected by this war against the chepers *****s for normal men.

Italy is a shit nation where is every day worse to live for a monger man. all is puritanism. And now they are also exporting this puritan style!

Yes you can just lay down at the beach and the babes will all over you. Price is around R$100.

You can rent an apartment easily for the duration of your stay. Some hotels / pousadas allow guests, but do ask before. Otherwise you can go to a motel for an hour.

I spent the first three weeks of December in Fortaleza and I will try to summarize an update for the firstimers.

To start with get your self a room at the Ibis hotel R59 single, R69 double for one or two nights until you check a few apartments and choose what is best for you.

Check with agencies that are located on Abolishao Ave for an apartment of your taste. The best place to stay is on Avenida Beira Mar just on the beachfront. It is a pity that the sea is not clean enough for swimming there.

My wingman arrived early morning and had enough time to see several until my arrival late afternoon same day.

We finally used the services of FLAT SHOP. Carmen the owner and her sister Andriana are very sufficient and are working on European standards.

We got ourselves a very nice apartment for a ridiculous price.

Two bedrooms with individual baths (suites), living room with kitchenette and most important a small but very nice veranda with a fantastic sea view for only R90/day for both of us. 25 euros with daily room cleaning and linen change twice per week plus free parking space. Fantastic deal!

We also rent a car for our whole stay. It was a brand new fiat with only 1800 km on it. Price was R55 daily with 200km free/day.

We also took third party coverage for an extra R10 daily.

The mongering scene is on Iracema next to the tourist police station.
Forget the beachfront bars. They are all closed and the action moved one-road inwards. It seems to me that someone is trying to buy the area for peanuts and eventually build a hotel or something like that.

Action starts at ZIPIE bar at about 22:00 at later on moves to the bars like
Europa, café del mar etc. They are all there next to each other. To my opinion there are about 300 girls moving around. The quality is medium to low. At least to my taste. Forget what you have seen in Rio, Salvador, Florianopolis etc.

You will be very lucky if you manage to get a 6+ and if you do stick to her for a few days because it will be difficult to find another one.

Asking price is usually R100 but they will go for a R70. The better ones ask for R150 but will settle for R120-130.

Streetwalkers on Abolishao av. near the Habibs fast food. Price R50.

Watches out there are travesties both on Abolishao and Iracema.

Earlier in the evening there are a few pro’s walking up and down the Beira Mar. You will see them later on in the Zipie bar.

There is a third group of girls slightly of better quality that do not go to those clubs.
Every day there is action in a different place.

Mondays at Pirata

Tuesdays at Arreaguia ( or something like that. Small place so be there by 21:00 hrs, nice buffet)

Wednesdays at Armagen

Thursdays at Orbitos and Brasileirino and at Crocobeach and other barracas at Praia Futuro. It is crab night.

Fridays & Saturdays at Mucuripe club.

Sundays at Dragao do Mar at the bar do Bixica and Orbitos

All the above places, except Dragao do mar, have an entrance fee of 20-30 Reais. Currently, on average, 1 usd=2,8 and 1 Euro=3,5 Reais

Armagen, Orbitos, and Brasileirino are close to each other at the Dragao do Mar square and within walking distance from the pro scene.

Orbitos gathers young people 16-24 years. I saw the most beutifull girls of Fortaleza there. Long que thaugh.

That third group of pro girls is gathering at these places trying to hook on customers in a different GFE way. They can ask for higher prices but they will go for R150 or so. They have to cover the entrance fee to these places after all.

During the day hang around at the different barracas on Futuro beach. The most famous are Crocobeach, Cocobeach and Quarangeiso (crab).

Try also Cumbuco but you need a car for that one.

Finally Fortaleza is for vacationers and easygoing people. It would be perfect if you could swim the way I do in the Greek waters. Unfortunately the sea waves are strong. Small scale Tsunamis.

Have fun and PM me for any more info.

Well I am not allowed to edit my post so I have to submit another.

I made a mistake the other day. The street where the agencies are is not Abolishao. It is Mon Senhor Tabosa.

Actually it is the extension of Abolishao beyond Habib´s fast food towards the city cender. But it has a different name.

The agencies are near number 100.

You can find girls every where.

Crocobeach, Cocobeach and Quarangeuso are frequented by most pro girls.

That is because the tourist are going there.

But beleive you me you can stop any woman anywhere and start talking to them. You must not shaw right from the begining that your only interest is to take them to bed.

One Friday night in Mucuripe club there was a real good looking girl. Tall blond a good 8+.

So my wing man approaches her and tells her that we were in the shoe business on a business trip and that by looking at her shoes we came to the conclusion that her shoes were not Brasilian and most propably were Italian made.
She starts laughing she says yes they are Italian that she bought them from Sao Paulo and that she was Paulista.

As you can see she got the bate. My friend did not manage, finally, to get her to bed but he was flirting with her all night having a good time and I lost 50 Reais.
That was my bet that his conversation with her will not last for more than 10 minutes. And we both have nothing to do with the shoe business.

So give them a try in a polite manner and most probably you will score.

It really seems an accurate report, and things dont seem to have changed very much, from 1 year ago.

Those news of police crackdown, haven't affected the whole scene.

Let me ask you a question, Greco, would you repeate Forta in a future trip? Or would you look for other places, it is the eternal question, evertything seems good, the prices, the safety, but the girls quality, is a bit disappointing.

What about Iracema?

Are the beaches, that you mentioned, in Iracema or near Iracema?

Does someone has tried escort in Fortaleza?

Well, after 5 days in Fortaleza (two with bro Junior), I've got to say that maybe I don't know what I'm talking about. Or maybe my standards have dramatically risen. Or maybe the scene has headed south too much. Dunno.

Over four trolling nights in Iracema (the tourist hang-out/sex disco area), I saw two fights, a pickpocketing, an adolescent drug overdose (way too young, like 6-7 years old), etc., etc.

The place has gotten rougher and the girls have declined in quality. All those little kids are beggars AND pickpockets, F.Y.I. Pay attention to your valuables, and clamp your hands down over your pockets in dense crowds.

Anyway, as always, the scene starts late (around midnight) and goes 'til dawn. The party ends at the Kapital disco. The girls cross the street from the other places and enter Kapital around 2 a.m. No facilties anywhere, though there are over-priced sex motels/pousadas to be found here and there. The best in the area is Motel Village.

Girls, though, are still cheap. 100R is the average, with +/- 25-50R variations depending on girl.

On average, it took me 2+ hours every night to find a girl of suitable quality (beauty, attitude, value, etc.). Girls are younger (25 or younger) and inexperienced. I should say, though, that there are 7s and 8s to be found. But, while they're 5-10% of the Rio/S.P. garota population, they're around 1-2% here.

I did not try the SWs this time, but they were out in force in Beira Mar in front of the usual places (Banco do Brasil, Pizza Hut, etc.). They line that main road one up from the beach starting around 11-ish.

Junior and I did make one new Fort. discovery: The Whisky Bar (that's how it's spelled). It's a locals hang-out -- a sort of bar/lounge with girls sitting around, etc. Pretty standard. Junior and I agreed that there weren't any girls worthy of the WSG service, so we didn't find out any of the particulars. I'd expect to to be the usual (i.e., 100R or so for sex, 25R quartos on site, etc.). There's supposed to be another brothel in town, but we didn't bother to look into it.

Also, many girls to be found during the day sitting in the outside beach bars in Beira Mar.

In the end, I'd have to call it an "Aliens vs. Predator" type of scene. Problem is, I'm not sure who's playing which role at any given time. Oh well.

Happy Hunting,
JWadd

Volpone,

The names mentioned are "barracas" along the Futuro beach.

Barracas are restaurants/bars with beach chairs for free.

Praia do Futuro is the main clean beach of Fortaleza.

Iracema is not that clean so I`avoided it.

Also try Praia do Cumpuco some 30km out of the city.

Fellows,

Just a quick update on my visit to Fortaleza with Jwadd. To put it simply we were supposed to stay there for five days, but I bailed for Rio after two nights as the scene in Fortaleza was not to my liking.

The clubs and areas mentioned in Jwadds reports were only open at night, ie. after 11. Daytime activities seemed limited to whatever you could find at the beach or getting a phonenumber from a girl you liked during the nightly visit to one of the clubs and then arranging a get-together the following afternoon.

The quality of the girls was very low in my honest opinion. I am probably way too spoiled by many trips to RJ and SP by now, but the majority of girls I saw at the Fortaleza clubs did not meet my minimum requirements for getting a night with Junior.
But if you fancy getting hit on by a large number of short and unattractive women this might be the place for you.

Another issue for a northener like me is the damn humidity in Fortaleza - way too hot and humid.

I would recommend using the parthenon meirelles apart-hotel if you decide to go. It has very nice appartments and is quite cheap. They do charge R30 for visitor, but is otherwise fully girl friendly.

JWadd,

Maybe you can help me out with something. Or maybe some of you other guys can.

I've been hearing reports, nothing firm, mind you, that the new anti-sexual tourism campaign in Forteleza and Recife has resulted in the creating of a new scam. I'd like to hear if anyone's seen or heard of this scam being run.

Basically, the girl claims she's a minor AFTER sex and threatens to "fazer um escándalo" unless the guy pays extra. The Forteleza cops claim to be busting 180 gringos a month on "sex-with-minors" raps and I'm wondering how much of this might be the result of this scam.

If anyone's heard of this or been the victim of it, please speak up!

hey macunaima,

if one sticks to the garotas hanging out inside the various bars near pria iracema (such as kapital, etc) then you will have no problems with a garota trying to pull a "sex with minors" scam. in order to get into those places, the girls need to show id - and the clubs don't want to lose their licenses by letting **** girls in - so you know that you can safely pickup these girls without having to worry about a scam.

yes, the problem is that if you are on the beach every 2 minutes a girl will approach you. yes they will look and stare and smile at you. this happened on 3 beaches, and you can observe the policia observing you. they sit in this make shift tent umbrella and they only observe you once the girls start approaching. i have witnessed 4 europeans being shaken down for euro's right there as they sat in their chair. the girls would threaten to tell the policia that they have been approached and that they are ****. i seen one particular arguement continue for 20 mins before the police walked over and then they threatened to take the 2 guys away but then they went in to their waist pouch and removed money and handed it to the girl. the girl and the police walked away in the same direction. then they stopped after they walked further up the sidewalk and i seen the police hand the girl something, make money. i don't know it was to far to see. the girls in fortaleza are clearly young or young looking, don't even think about it don't talk to them. do not trust those police on the beach. it seems like the police were setting european men up. i was talking to an italian guy and he said he was getting out of that city because the police kept harrassing him. in this city the women are very aggressive very aggressive. i was sitting down eating at a table near the beach and two women welcome themselves to my table and started to introduce themselves and propositioning me. i had no interst in them but they remained seated and kept talking and asking me to buy them a water or beer. too many 4's and 5's in this city. you will definitely be hassled by the girls and women. prices are cheap but not worth it ($r60 all night). go to the university, that is where the action is, i enjoyed the company of a thin morena marisa for three days. she was a non pro and very affectionate. she invited me back to her place where she was living with 2 other girls. she cooked and took me to the mall. she gave me 3 phone numbers of her friends and said that they are very nice girls and are students working in the shopping mall and need to make more money. the campus atmosphere is much better, the girls there are all 9's and 10's but you must speak portuguese. there is a club called magalina and it will be packed on thursday night. packed with nothing but non-pro action. they will introduce themselves to you and dance and act as if they know you. you will see many italinan guys leaving with women but these are all students and all non -pro.

hi,

this is just a suggestion, so please don't take it the wrong way.

i appreciate the details in your report, but i know from experience that a lot of people find it very difficult to read a report that is written as one long block of text. it's kind of like trying to eat an entire steak in one bite.

i know how this happens: you're banging away at the keyboard, putting your thoughts into the report as fast as you can write them. however, if you could hit the return key every few sentences while you're writing, and thus break your report into smaller paragraphs, your report would be much easier to read, which would certainly be appreciated by your fellow forum members.

thanks,

jackson

Problem? No!
I think it´s excellent that the police, in Fortaleza, go down on mongers looking for minors.
Fortaleza had (still has) great problems with, mainly, Italian package-tourists that only are interested in meeting minors. If it wasn´t for these bags of shit the police wouldn´t hassle the tourists in Fortaleza.

The last time I was there he charged me 20 Euro (about 24-25 US$).

I'm not sure if it`s allowed to post telephone numbers here. If so, I will.

I'd like some first hand reports from anyone who has attended their anual end-of-July celebration that is almost comparable to Carnaval. Anyone know what it is exactly?

Since I missed Carnaval this year, I am thinking about going to this event.

YosHi Yossarian,

Maybe that's right, I really don't know for Fortaleza, but I know there are lots of places in the Nordeste where they have big Carnaval-like celebrations at the end of june.

A few years ago I attended the "festas juninhas" (june celebration) in Recife, and that was really interesting, lots of nice non-pros and really hot action. But you should speak some portuguese.

In Fortaleza, in july, they have the boat race named "Dragão do Mar", on the Mucuripe beach, second or third sunday of july, and then the last weekend of july the "fortal", kind of festa also, but I have no more info about that. Will check with a few friends, maybe someone knows.

Hope this helps,

Well, it is July so I am currently on vacation for 3 weeks from my job in Rio. I decided to come up to the Nordeste to see if there is anything worth checking out up here. Just flew up yesterday, so I just took it easy and checked out the Praia de Iracema area last night. Didn´t go into any clubs, but I have to say that so far I am not impressed. The girls I did see outside and around of Zipi Club looked pathetic, and the Kapital/Europa area didn´t look that great either; kind of reminds me in a way of the Zona area of Tijuana, except probably not as dangerous (I hope). There are many Italians and Germans here it seems like, so I have to assume something good is around. If anyone has any current info on Fortaleza, or is up here right now, let me know.

I know there aren´t any termas up here, but there must be something of quality here, its a city of 2+ million people. I was going to stay here for 3 weeks, but I might leave after 1 and go somewhere else (Natal, João Pessoa, São Luis, etc). Any info is appreciated.

I came up to the Nordeste after hearing good things about Fortaleza. I´m staying in the Praia de Iracema area. There is very little daytime action here unless you can get number from a girl you like at night and call her. Or amybe meet a girl at the beach but there are not many good looking ones there. The women here are not that hot mainly 5s, quite short, small breasts and big bellys and butts. You will find a good one 7s or 8s if you look for a long time maybe 2/3 hours.

When to Zipi club to meet anoter monger at 23:00 but missed meeting up. Stayed in Zipi for about an hour and had a beer, I was not impressed with the girls there, they looked pathetic.

When to the pier near the Kapital/Europa area, nice area with lots cafes etc lots of parents and kids out for an evening walk etc. Then checked out the Kapital/Europa clubs, very annoying groups of (non pro) girls working for the clubs trying to get you to go into one club or another. There were also lots of street kids around trying to rob the gringos. Many Dutch, German and Italians around, I really don´t know what they see in the place.

Loads of police looking for mongers with minors, I saw two guys stopped, asked for their passports and put in the police car. I think some of the girls set them up. Saw a girl with a photocopy of a guys passport, I think she stole it off him before the cops pulled him.

Anyway left the Kapital/Europa area and was walking back towards Zipi. When I was outside the Subito cafe, I see 100m away a guy shooting!! At what he was shooting I don´t know. He got out of the passenger side of a white car, fired a few rounds and then ran back and he and his mate drove off. It was all over in a couple of minutes. All the cafes staff said was `There are many robberies here`??? Anyway things just carried on as if nothing happened.

Later met a nice looking 20 year old girl on the street outside zipi (afer hours of looking) I agreed R$100 for 2 hours, went to Motel Village R$40 and had a good time with anal, CIM, BBBJ, DFK etc.

The only good thing I can say about here is that it is cheap. None of the girls were looking for over R$150 and you can get a good hotel for R$70 a night.

I spent close to 4wks in Fortaleza in May. I seen many men get stopped by the police. You will definitely br set up by the younger girls. It will eventually happen. I met about seven young Italian guys and they all had problems with the girls.

This place is definitely cheap ($R60 all night) but its difficult to find a 9 or 10. And they are all aggresive. Becareful of the police on the beach.

I found the NON-PROS to be great. They took me to bars and clubs and I had a great time. They are more friendly than girls in the clubs in RIO.

I met many guys from Italy and Germany. They have given up on RIO. They prefer Fortaleza because of the price and more girls. Maybe 3 times as many but not much in good looks.

I concentrated on the non-pros and I did well. Again this place is no RIO. So don't go there looking for GOLD. For you will find MUD.

There are far more girls in Rio that in Fortaleza, and the girls in Rio are on average better looking. That is because the girls from the NE move to Rio where they can make a lot more money.

You can still get a good looker here but it just takes time. Also if you like daytime action then you have a problem as it is not that easy to find in Fortaleza.

Prices are cheap here and maybe that is why the tourists come. It is worth a short trip, nice beaches, good food etc.

In Brazil there is no such thing as a NON-PRO who goes with tourists! If they take gifts or money then they are just prostitutes. No such thing as ¨your my first¨, or ¨I do this to get money for college¨ etc, thats all bullshit.

IF they are NON PRO they will not be seen with tourists for fear of been called prostitutes. Everyone knows that all the guys who travel to Brazil on their own are sex tourists.

One other thing about Fortaleza is that there is a lot of street crime around the tourist areas so keep your eyes open.

Your mention of gifts, money LOL. In my home country you have to buy a girl an expensive drink in a bar just to get her attention for 5 minutes. Would that make them PRO's?

Langer,

You right, there is no such thing as Non-Pro. I guess we say this to make ourselves feel good.

The majority of the girls I meet have other legitamate jobs. This is a sure fact.

As far as Forta, my experience has been that there are 3 times as many girls, but not as good looking or than the girls in RIO. There bodies are not as great but there numbers are many more than RIO.

You may have not been to the different areas where the girls hang out. But ask any Ital or Germany and they will concur that there are more girls in Forta than RIO.

We both agree that they are not as beautiful. NO DOUBT

They are also more aggressive and scandulous. They will get you involved in B*llsh*t, in a second.

The policia is always on their side making arrest. I seen so many European guys get hassled by the policia.

No its not RIO but its half the price.

I only went there during the evening, so I assume that's the only time it's open. FYI, there is a R30 drink minimum there, but if you just order a bucket of Brahma and share it with a couple of girls there, that should cover it, and that includes the entrance fee too. I'm not sure if the prices are for one or two hours since I never actually took a girl from there, but I got the impression that it was negotiable with the girl. Just ask any cab driver how to get there, they seem to know the *****houses better than anyone in Brasil lol.
Also, if anyone needs a good apartment to rent in Fortaleza, I recomment going to Flatshop on Av. Monsenhor Tabosa. I was able to rent a large 1 bedroom apartment with a partial view of Praia de Iracema for only R50 a night. Same with Salvador. Is there direct from Miami or something to Fortaleza or Salvador?

Panman

Monger 3:

No, all flights from the US to Brazil go to Sao Paulo or Rio first. On top of that, every connection to Northeastern Brazil is less likely to be a direct flight because the more stops they have the less money the airlines lose with empty seats. Since almost all international flights to SP arrive in the morning, you would have to wait at least 8 hours for connecting flights to the northeast from Guarulhos.

Lucio,

That R180 you paid in May at Clube de Whiskey in Fortaleza. Was that for one or two hours? Did you have to pay entrance fee or buy drinks for yourself and the girls? If so, how much did these extras cost? Also, please remember May is probably not the High Season in Fortaleza - at least it is not in Rio. So prices in Fortaleza could go up later this year.

Hi Monger3

Just did a quick search online and here are the results>

You have three daily flights between NYC and Sao Paulo, all of them arriving in the morning, between 5am and 9am. One is a codeshare flight American Airlines and TAM, another United and Varig and the third a Continental flight but flying out of Newark.

You should have no problems catching a connection to either Fortaleza ( 2 ) or Salvador ( 3 or 4 ) in time to be there by lunchtime. The only drag is that you will have to change airports in Sao Paulo, from Guarulhos to Congonhas. It took me two hours last year early in the morning because traffic jams are unbelievable!

Didn t check flights from NYC to Rio but anyway you have much better connections from Sao Paulo to other cities in Brazil , SP is the brazilian hub par excellence!.

If you want to check flights yourself type > digirotas horario voos >

I went to Fortaleza last month.

The place is huge, and there are hundreds of good looking working girls.
So many, too much, italians around in August.

Went to Cafè do Mar, one night, and get Elisangela, a loira. She wasn't the best looking girl around, no more than a 7, but she had a good body and we had a great and passionate session. 100r$ for TLN was the fee.
I was with her for two other sessions, on the next night, and I was satisfied.

YMMV, as usual.

I’ve decided to hit next year either Fortaleza or Recife, I’ve been to Rio before but never to any of these 2 cities.

I’d like to know which one is better (Fortaleza or Recife) for our hobby. From what I’ve read so far Fortaleza looks better mongering-wise, despite the fact that there is a clampdown in progress to reduce sex tourism, but I’m interested in knowing the opinions of those of you who have actually been to both cities.

Would you recommend Fortaleza or Recife?

My main concerns are:

Fortaleza is probably better for you. A lot of the establishments are in one place, so it's just easier. Recife the nightlife is spread around the city.

One common complaint is that the girls are different up there. Many more indias up in Fortaleza, a different look from Rio's famous mulatas. In Recife it's mixed but you'd find more mulatas.

If you go to Fortaleza, plan to take a break for a couple of days to a beach town somewhere. After a few days it can get old just hanging around in the city.

Clube do Whiskey,

You can bargin lower. I paid $R180 in MAY.

Guys you are paying much too much in Fortaleza, thats the reason we get out of RIO.

You can score for less than $R100 on the beaches and bars.

Please help keep our prices low.I could not agree more.

I never take a girl for one or two hours. The nice thing with North-East is that the girl expect to stay all night (if not longer). This is not Amsterdam RLD; 15 minutes, or Estonia brothels; 1 hour and then knock-knock on the door. If I decide to have her out of the room before, just ask her to leave.

I normally pay R$ 50 for all night, and I add R$ 10 - 15 for taxi for the girl. If I am very pleased, I sometimes pay R$ 100, but then nothing for the taxi. I never make agreement about the price in advance, the girls I choose do not ask for money, and this gives me the girlfriend feeling. The girl leave the room with a smile in her face.

The normal income in Ceara is for a housemaid about R$ 300 per month. This is 6 or sometimes 7 long workingdays per week. Very few can earn R$ 500. Please consider this when you pay them in the morning.

One may think that you can afford to pay too much, but please come in mind how expencive this will be for long time mongers!

HenryR,

It was for 2 hrs and I pay R$10 for 2 drinks. I am always in Fortaleza in DEC & FEB. I never pay tourist rates.

The most I pay for garotas is R$100 for all night. I have not paid about R$100 in 3 yrs for a garota in Forta.

Thats my purpose of choosing that city.

I will go to Fortaleza in October 5 and then 2 weeks from there.

I have never been to Fortaleza in those low-season period, and I am quite curious how the Iracema area is like, as the Italians and Dutch has made their departure ? Is the number of girl normal, or is it slow ?

I have bought a VERY NICE 200m2 house close to the beach, in Porta Das Dunas ( 15 minutes from Beira Mar and the air-port, - 20 minutes from Praia Iracema ), and are going to prepare it for rental. Brazilians tourist hight season should be December - February.

If someone have experience on these, please PM me or post Your views. This is the Dream place, with Beach Park and the beautiful and safe Porto Das Dunas Praia 100 meters away. Its with 24/7 hours guard, but still you can drive from outside directly into the garage and house, so its vey private. Swimming pools, sauna and sports place is included for yourselfes, Your family or a group of friends! If there are interest for cheap rental, pls. PM me, and I can send You more Info.

If there is someone new or old in Forta at that time, who likes to join me for one beer or caipii, 5-16 October, before for some hunting, please PM me. I know the usual, and some of the un-usual :)

I hope You understand this North Europe English :) Take care and Good Luck!

I may hit Fortaleza during Easter next year but am a bit concerned that Easter might fuck up the scene to some extent as it does in Rio (some bars and clubs closed, etc), so I'd appreciate any feedback from anyone who has actually been in Fortaleza over the Easter period in the past.

If the scene is really affected over that period I'll try to avoid it and travel on different dates.

Thanks,

I think I've been there over Easter -- and yes everything's closed. But then again, I could be wrong. Does this help? Fuck no? O.k., then.

Point is, I wouldn't call off Fort. due to Easter alone. It's a fun place (though many disagree) and you can easily pre-arrange dates with many girls for that one day off, anyway.

Happy Hunting,

Fortaleza, used to be my play ground until the police got out of hand.

Easter will spoil your plans, believe me, shut down almost everywhere.

My main concerns are:

1. Quality of girls >>not more 8's,9's or 10's ---only RIO
2. Quantity of girls >>definitely more than RIO---3 times the volume and 18-19yr olds
3. Nightlife (i.e. Discos and bars open till late every day, etc)>> till 4
4. Prices (overheads & pussy)>> cheapest in all Brazil , I never pay more than 90 for all night. NEVER
5. Safety>> rough, the garotas are aggressive

You will love the place but don't even thing about the young girls, don't even think about it

Hello,

The most boys pay to much money for the girls. The real price is only 50 reals per night. Why? A girl who is working 7 days in a restaurant or in a hotel get only 50 - 70 reals per week. She must pay 20 - 30 reals for the bus per week. She's working from 4 - 4 in the night, waiting one hour for the bus in the morning and drive 1-2 h in her home. Tell this to the garotas and you don't must pay any more. I was 16 times in Brazil. I know it. The best way is to learn a little portugesh and you pay nothing, and then if you want give her a present, cash, and tell her she is no prostituite. You have than a lot of pleasure with lot of girls. I went in the city, shopping centers, there are lot of girls for nothing. In Brazil is the different girl - boy 8 : 1. You are the gringo, also the king and master. The girls love it. They are proud in the road with a foreinger. Not like in USA and Europe.

When you have a girlfriend in Brazil, ask her you want sleep with her girlfriend. The girls love it one men two girls or two men one girls. Sure.

Sorry for my bad english.

thanks guys for the feedback, i think i’ll give easter a miss and travel on a different date to play safe.

regarding the **** girls, it will be a matter of taking only girls with id’s that you can check to make sure they are at least 18 yo - i suppose most girls in fortaleza will carry their id’s as they do in rio, is that right?

Liucio
09-24-05, 01:30
If you have to inspect her ID ------grab your drink and walk to another table. Some R in collusion w/POLICIA. Believe what I am telling you. If she looks to young--------she's too young. And listen to these guys when they say don't pay more than $R70-80 for entire night. I dont' care if she dressed nice, a 10 on the scale.
Pay no more than $80, walk away give it 20mins and they will be seated next to u ready to go.

This place is no RIO. The ratio is crazy 8 or 9 to 1 on any night all under 23yrs old. But no perfect 9's or 10's like RIO.
Enjoy yourself and take many pic of your garotas.
Enjoy your trip.

16 times in Brasil and still you don't understand what people are shouting at your girl?

I'm sorry but its VERY unlikely that any "normal" brasilian thinks that girls who go out with us GRINGOS are anything else but hookers. This may change if they see you with one girl for long enough.

Virtually all hotels in Fortaleza are girl friendly. In fact, when i checked into the hotel I stayed at, I asked if there was a "taxa de accompahantes" [short hand term for an extra fee for female guests (i.e GDPs) staying over in a hotel room]. The clerk responded that yes there was, and as long as she was legal - 18 and had i.d. - there would not be any problems. And there were not any problems while I was there - brogth back a couple different GDPs over the course of my stay there.

I was staying in an appartment, had no troubles at all. Girl hands out her ID, thats it!

Got my appartment through "flatshop", they have an office on Av. Monsenhor Tabosa between R. Augusto and R. Idelfonso Albano. Very reliable! Payed 50 reais a day for a decent place with seperate sleeping room. Not bad at all!

Was there in September, and as the girls say it's low season, many more girls than mongers, many girls to choose. But as someone pointed out previously, they are not the best looking girls: tend to have quite a belly, no waist, no hips. Not the type tall blonde. You must like them short and morena! Many young looking girls as well, so be careful! I wouldn't like to get into trouble with the Polícia Militar!!

I found a lovely one, she had this increadible smile on her face, I couldn't resist to choose her in a second!

She provided great sex, absolutely uninhibited! BBBJ, CIM, anal. She got incredibly wet, no need for KY. All night for 70 R$, an afternoon with 3 pops 50 R$. One night (I didn't have an appointment with her) I met her on the street, told her I had no money to pay her, but nevertheless she came with me that night for free. She never tried to press money out of me, no cocktails ordered, for food she only wanted a portion of french fries, no pressure to go to the shopping malls. Once she was about to leave (I was exhausted...), turned round just to ask if I liked one more time - which I had to refuse.

She speaks no English, you guys really need a basic knowledge of Portuguese! But she understands a bit of Italian (not my language): are you reading this Samuele? Fabio? Ricardo? Daniele? She was staying with you in August.

I'll post some more pictures in the photo gallery.

Liucio,

What are roughly the apartments daily rates?

Are they usually safe (doorman, etc)?

Liucio
10-02-05, 03:25
I paid $18/night for a one bedroom. Which was further down the popular end of the beach. It was three minute walk down the beach.

I got it as a discount because I paid before I arrived. Once I got there, the guy told me he had more apartments available and after 2 nights I upgraded to a larger 1 bedroom closer to action and with bigger windows looking out on to the ocean. I paid $US21/per night for the upgrade.

I greeted the doorman and I bought him cold beers on Friday & Sat morning.
There was no charge for my girls and no ID check.
I had no problem with security in the building it was safe. The doorman even looked after the bike I rented when I didn't want to put it on the evevador and take it into my apartment.

I agree the garotas are not as shapely with nice round asses and small waist like in RIO.
But in RIO they garotas do not cook for you either.
The least I ever paid was $R40 for an all night, with ANAL, BBBJ and she stayed all night.
The most I ever paid in Forta was $R90, she was a 9 on the scale. She would be a 9 in RIO also. She stayed all night also.

Almost all the young girl that stay ( 19-21yrs) will cook you breakfast and lunch.
We were always in the Supermarket buying fresh veggies, meats, and breads.
These garotas love 2 cook you food. Because they want to stay.
We once broke the blender, using it so much. Fresh juices, every type.

My frig was always packed with newly cooked meals. DELICIOUS.
The next morning when they left they would offer a lower price, just 2 B hired and earning money.
I always had my shorts and t-shorts hand washed by these girls.

As I always pay the lowest.
I am also a BIG TIPPER. I would always TIP $R30 on top of the negotiated price.

Again these R not RIO type girls, they are poorer and they get less work.
I hear some guys r going there and overpaying and inflating the market, I ask please don't spoil it.

Its the cheapest, least expensive vacation spot with the best beaches.
U spent 1/3 of the RIO expenses.

The ratio was 8:1 in MAY when I was there for 21 or more days.
Last year in Dec the ratio was close to 12:1 for the high season on the beach.
So many.
And also so many young garotas. But you have been warned.
The scams are awaiting you.
Problem is in high season you have many tourist, many with families and little children.

The nights are incredible in mid december at the clubs, so many garotas- 15:1 in clubs and this is when they get aggresive against you and each other.

OK maybe 15:1 is an exaggeration.

But you will be happy with an apartment.
Rent for a short period (3days)
They upgrade to a different area. I always do this, its a great way to see different people and discover different bus routes and restaurants. Not to mention meeting the NON-PRO's which is my preference.

Enjoy

I prefer an apartment but could stay at a hotel if it were OK. I prefer staying in the Mireiles area or Mirucupe area. Mirucupe area is on or near Beira Mar and just past Mireiles, if you are coming from Iracema, and going east towards Praia Futuro.

Hope I can pay $50 US or less, including tax. I also hope they have no guest fee or a very small guest fee.

If you want daytime atmosphere head to the Centro.

It doesn't make sense. Very few agencies will let you rent an apartment for only 2-3 nights. A better choice is to stay in a hotel the first nights while checking around for apartments.

There are several agencies with apartments to rent. Your best option is to get in contact directly with the apartment owner. This way you will not have to pay any commissions to the agency or to whoever that showed you to the apartment.

Renting from an agency the rates, for a nice 2-room apt in the Iracema area, are from 50 reais and up. Longer stay gives lower price.

If you look around you will find people renting out their apartments in the Iracema area for as low as 35 reais. Many of them will ask your nationality, as they don't rent to Italians. This is because the Italians earned themselves a very bad reputation in Fortaleza.

That is very true, there are dozens of girls offering sex. Just get the local newspaper "Diário" and look for relax/acompanhantes in the classificados section. They start as low as 10R$ for what they call quicky. Might still be longer than the average fuck with a hooker here at my town :-(
Was in an appartment with a choice of three morenas (maybe rating 5-7), 20 R$ for half an hour CBJ only. Would have been 60R$ for 1h completo, so I think in a total you get much better value for an allnighter!
Don't expect to get along with English, you must be able to communicate in Portuguese. And Centro an further on is no place to meet many tourists, you will definitly be the gringo there.

Lucky Liucio.
If you rent an nice wellfurnished 2-room apartment, from an agency, in a decent edifício in Iracema during high-season, for a short-term stay, they will ask you for at least 50 reais. Renting directly from the proprietor will get you a lower price.

Renting an more simple apartment can get you a rate of 35 reais for a short-term stay in high-season.

A rate of 20 reais is just pure bulls**t.

Compared to Rio you get much nicer apartments in Fortaleza for a lower cost. If you stay in a 2-room apartment on the 17:th floor with a big balcony, oceanview and a nice breeze, then there is no reason to complain that the rates gone up a little bit.

Also the pro's in Fortaleza are cheap and the non-pro's easy to pick up. Fortaleza is a bargain compared to Rio. There is a nice mixture of girls in Fortaleza, even though I think the girls with the typical Ceará-look looks funny. I have been to Praia do Futuro. I spent an entire afternoon there walking the length of the beach. It is awesome! The days I spent there were during the week, but I am sure the week-ends are spectacular. Even on a weekday afternoon, they had the huge stage that they had set-up for a week-end show, operational with a DJ. There are all kinds of garotas on that beach, though most that I saw were part of a couple. At the far end which is less crowded and has smaller bars/restaurants, couples were "romantic" in the water, mostly cuddling and splashing a bit.

It is a great place to take a garota. I am not sure about the degree of success in *finding* a garota there.

On praia do futuro there are some (in-)famous barracas (=beach bars) where you will find lots of girls offering massage directly on the beach. You will notice the blue massage beds. Of course on the beach there is only massage, but ask the girl what she is going to offer to you at night in your appartment :-)
I think one of the barracas was called "Coco Beach", an other one had "Caranguejo" in its name.

That's right, Chico do Caranguejo and Coco beach.
Be careful with the pronunciation. Don't ask for directions to Cocô Beach.
Coco=coconut
Cocô=shit
It's funny when some gringos on the beach ask for "água de cocô". :)

Yeah, that's funny! But Brazilians are funny when they are talking English and don't get the difference between "beach" and "*****" :-)

And when we are talking about Brazilian football star Kaká (whose full name by the way is: Ricardo Izecson dos Santos Leite) we should really stress the second syllable rather than say "Káka"...
Maybe we should better move this discussion to the Portuguese Phrases thread?

What is the deal with Praia Futura at nite. I had heard a couple years ago that there are bars there with available garotas at nite. But that area was also supposed to be dangerous at nite. Anyone have any info re which bars, which nites etc?

Howdy, amigo:

I've walked that whole length and (I think) it's just the eastern end of what would be called (by me) "Fortaleza Bay." As I remember, there're a few large outdoor dinner clubs, tennis court/soccer field, wide beach promenade down there before it turns the corner and becomes seaside cliffs and/or residential. Can't remember for sure. There's going to be action along this whole section of beach during the day, and probably next to nothing at night (they all head to Beira Mar). No guarantees. Hope this helps; sorry it's so imprecise (and I could be entirely wrong!).

Happy Hunting,
JW

On Praia do futuro you will find a lot of "barracas" with live music. the night for praia do futuro is thursday. Go to Croco-Beach, Chicco do carangueijo, Coco-Beach, Boa Vida or Itaparika. In Fortaleza you have a party every night: Monday Pirata, wednesday Armazem, thursday Lounge Beach (Praia do Futuro), friday Mucuripe, saturday Armazem and on sunday Orbita.

Then you have the corner with the gdp (bikini, europa, cafe do mar and capital). Every night is action there. And before don't miss the Zipy Bar at around 10.00pm.

So different nites for a special bar that nite. Nothing for Tuesday? Two nites for Armazem (Wed and Sat?). Are there garotas de programa on party nites? I think the Pirata Bar does not have garotas de programa (GDPs) on their nite, which is Monday. What about the other nites? Do the different bars have GDPs on their nite?

Hi,

I will be in Fortaleza on 11/10/05, for 6 nights, party of three. I want a recommendation for an apartment. I contacted the sunflower and thought their prices were too high. I will contact “Flatshop” if no one has a contact with a private owner. Please e-mail me at [Email Address deleted by Admin] if you don’t want to post here. I am looking for a 2 or 3 bedroom apartment that is as close to the action as possible.

Thanks

So Mucuripe Club's special nite is Friday nite? I assume Mucuripe is a disco with mostly non-pros and is in the Mucuripe neighborhood. Please let me know if that is not correct. Are there any GDPs there on Friday nites, which is the special nite for the Mucuripe club? If so, how many? What about the Mucuripe club on nites other than Fridays - any GDPs those other nites?

(I already knew Kapital has action every nite - I just wondered about the regular clubs not known for GDPs and if GDPs go to those regular clubs on that club's special nite).

Friday nights are definitely the best nights at Mucuripe. Lots of beautiful regular girls.
Saturday nights are OK. Lower standard on the girls, but easier to pick up.

As Mucuripe Club has becomed popular among gringos, unfortunately it also started to attract some pro's. I say "unfortunately" because I prefer to have the pro's separated. That way it's easier to pick up the regular girls.

Thanks Den28 for the info. Also, I am curious about Lounge Beach at Praia Futuro. I read that it is the hot place on Thursday nites. But when I went to the beach at Praia Futuro this week no one heard of it. Any info? Exactly where is it?

Also, about the massage girls at Praia Futuro who are willing to go to your room to give you a massage. Someone wrote on this forum that they are willing to give more than a massage. But someone told me it is strictly massage only. Does it depend on the girl or which beach you are at? How do you tell at first which one will do more? Any info on this?

Henry R,

Lounge Beach is a barraca on praia do futuro. You follow the Av. Santos Dumont to praia do futuro. Then you will arrive directly there. There are no gdp's. go there around midnight. sound is house music.

For Forro music you can go to Boi do Sertao or Kuckukaya, both on Av. Pontes Viera. Its about 10 minutes by taxi from Beira Mar, only on weekends.

But there are a lot of girls (no gdp's).

About the massage girls: everything depends on the girl. Go to Coco Beach or Boa Vida.

From my last trip I still have a newspaper from Fortaleza (Diário do Nordeste) including the "classificados" section. I´ll check this for you later today, and I will give you any internet address I can find in there. Tell me, if you also wish to get telephone numbers, if a company does not have internet.

Judging by your photos you stayed in Fortaleza Flats. Right?

About the "Strange House", it's amazing it's still there. The building itself is quite nice, but so run-down. It's a shame, because the location is top-class. Next to the Iracema-church with a great ocean-view.

Yes, I did stay in Fortaleza Flats. But I also stayed in "Via Venetto" (I think...) where picture "viewI/II" were taken. And once I stayed in "Newpoint". All of them I rented through flatshop, ranging from 45-60 R$. Nothing special, but there was a big bed and a bathroom in all of them, so what more do I need??

Actually there are only some internet adresses in this newspaper. This is what I could find:

http://www.apredial.com.br/index.php

http://www.jvsengenharia.com.br/

http://www.integralengenharia.com/

http://www.mercurius.com.br/

Classificados do Diário is full of (private?) little adds offering apartamentos, casa etc. Of course, all of them have a telephone, but there are hundreds...
The following numbers apparently belong to companies:

3091.7489
3298.2737
3253.6600
3091.8407
3086.8178
3264.0284
3131.2000
3261.4534

All numbers are local numbers. Do note that Brazil is +55 and Fortaleza is 85.

Of course the newpaper itself has an internet address, which is
http://diariodonordeste.globo.com/classif/

All this makes me wonder if I should start thinking about the same question...

Try Flatshop to start with. Last time Adriana (sister of the owner) did show me about five flats availlable for sale. None to my liking though.
But it is a good approach to the market there. Expect to pay 100k-150k Reais for a medium apartmemnt.

There are too many under construction. Many Paulistas are looking for a place there and many more are moving there for a better and more economical life. It looks like the Miami of Brasil.

Yesterday was perfect. It must have hit 92F/33C yesterday at 10am until 4pm.
Beaches crowded with Euro tourist and locals.
Traveled on the bus to neighborhoods in the north, bus ride is bumby and fast. Bus will run thru red light and take sharp turns. Great adventures.

Forta is very poor but beautiful, the people are great.
Great looking women taking the buses, so many young mother with children.
These kids climbing thru the bus windows and yelling like crazy. Wild

I found a nice place to have a drink but not sure about the saftey of the area. Lots women dancing in this store front place seems like a singles atmosphere many women not many men. (Great)

Thurs night there is a huge festa with live music. Its for a younger crowd (teens) but yea of course I will be there.

My philosophy is 2 find 1 or 2 women that I want to spend my time with when I'm in town.
I try choose regular women that have honest jobs.
The Programa scene is just to hectic and filled with too many problems.

If u can find an honest fun Pro - great. Butif not these women can ruin a vacation.
I have girlfriends I can trust and I haven't been burned since I slowed down on the mongering scene.

I can leave my apt with my girl inside for the entire day while I'm running the beach or drinking at the beach.
I return to my apt and find my place cleaned, dinner cooked and no money missing.

The draw back is that I am missing a lot of ass here, lot of ass.
Missed opportunities.

There is a young guy here that has a different girl in the afternoon and at night.
I've seen this guy with 8 different women since I've been here. Honesty. Every morning and dinner time he has a diff. girl.
That whats missing. But I'll do that in the next city.

Sorry Pluto2, but I've 2 questions:

Telephone number in Fortaleza begins with 3 and after there are 7 numbers, so, a normal number is

3283 4486 (8 numbers in total)

And it's so from 2004, October; so, your phone numbers seems quite old. The same from Desigual: last summer was closed; the boate changed owner and position, with bad results; Africa too was a bad option, too much better Kapital, Cafè del Mar, Bikini Bar e Europa Bar.

If I'm wrong, many changes in months.

Just my 2 cents

Hi Pyjama

The scene in Fortaleza is again hot. Bikini bar is always open, Kapital has changed ownwers and name (actually is "Forrò mambo" , names of typical dance of Cearà and Cuba) and is again open (since dec., 27); other disco, like Europa and Cafè del Mar are very full.

New options for mongers are: Armazen 47 on Wednesday (from midnight until 3 a.m. you can find the best pro that after go in Cafè and ex-Kapital, obviously well and normal dressed, and you have to know them) and on Friday in Lounge Beach, that is a barraca in Praia do Futuro, a little far from the scene. Be careful that most of the girls are not-pro and some time with friends.

Quality of girls and range is constant, with many new entries, very young, quite cute, horny and not too much clever, IMHO .

Happy return,

Forty

Yes, I also got this impression: "not too clever". One girl again and again tried to fuck me bareback, which I definitely declined. Why did she do this? She claimed it would be much more pleasant (muito mais gostoso) but wasn't she aware of the risks she'd be taking? Not only thinking about STDs, I know some of the garotas don't even take the pill...

One the other had maybe she was more clever than I am, just trying to get a pregnancy and my citizenship out of this business. So I would have been taking a serious risk!

But I did enjoy her BBBJCIM very much :-)

Guys,

what's the lowdown on hotels in "Forta"?

I will be there at the end of march and like to stay on the beach. I'm willing to pay for moderate or slightly higher place. For example, I stay at the Rio Roiss in Copa, or the Sol Ipanema in Ipanema. I'd like to be right across from the beach where there is good mongering opportunity. And not too far from the clubs.

Any help would be apreciated.

And if anyone will be around then, lemme know. We could do a bit of "teamwork"...

Hi, Bambino, some news for you.

The best beach (=praia) is Praia do Futuro, with good service, restaurants and shows (music alive) in the evening. You have to check this places: Coco Beach, Atlantis, Chico do Caranguejo and Croco Beach, all the taxy drivers know them, bus drivers too.

The beach is a bit far from the nigthlife action, so i think is better to stay in hotel in Beira Mar, or in Abolicao (first avenue after Beira Mar),that has many flats for rent.
In Praia do futuro, more in the evening, there are most of girls you can find at nigth (enough looking for micro bikini (= fiu dental) and piercing, they are like a badge...); obviously, there are also normal girls, especially in weekends, and semi-pro.
More of the waiters can help you in choice and contacts, with a little tip!
Travel costs abot 8 $ (15-20 R$) from Beira Mar, only 1.60 R$ with bus.

In Beira mar barracas (=estlablishments) are uncomfortable, the action is good, but you have to be more more careful.. there are thieves, envolved in drugs, in girls too, with lower quality of them.

Hotels in Beira mar cost about 80-100 R$ (Ibis Fortaleza, Sol Jangada, Comfort Hotel, Esplanada Praia) or more (Ponta Mar, Parthenon Golden, Luzeiros, Hotel Quality).

Good choice are the flats in Abolicao: Via Venetto, Spazzio, Brasil Tropical, Fortaleza flat, etc (80-100 R$ with clounge and kitchen).

Beira Mar and Abolicao have low nightlife (only in front of Mc Donald and Pizza Hut there GDP or SW), so you have to go in Praia de Iracema (Cafe do mar, etc), ONLY WITH TAXI AT NIGHT (especially when you're going back) , no pay more of 10R$ .
I'll post some photo in the Photo section, hope you like (she's a very wonderful girl from Beira mar).

Happy hunting and waiting for your report, ehehe...

Hi Bambino;

I was there in Dec, 2005. I stayed in an apartment so I can't comment about holets. It was hard for me to find any apts at that time on the internet due to high season. But, I found a 3 bedroom (there were three of us) on Beira Mar Ave, 2nd floor apt right on the beach. I got it though thedutchtouch.com. I am sure they can find you a one bed room with no problem. The apartment was Ideally located, also it was the best I have ever stayed in. You must rent for a 7 dat minimum. We paid about $30.00 US each per night. It was my first time there and I brought my ticket last week for two weeks in May 2006. I am not much of a typest but I would be glad to share with anyone what I know about the place. I do not have any photos to share. I would also like to stimulate more reports of places to visit other than the two or three main locations for girls. I don't speak the language at all. My frien speaks some spanish and that has gotten us along fine.

last night i saw a news report on redetv about the praia de iracema scene in fortaleza.

they were underlining how easy it is to buy drugs in that area. they also mentioned something about **** prostitution, which i missed because i just zapped onto that channel. there was covert video showing people offering drugs etc.

they talked about how many europeans are visiting praia de iracema and insinuatating that they are a large part of the scene, including prostitution.

because of this report going to air last night and tonight, i would be more cautious about extra police checks the next week or so. it may stir things up.

carry your passport or a notarised copy if you are in iracema. and don't carry any drugs.

just a heads up.

I'd like to be right across from the beach where there is good mongering opportunity. And not too far from the clubs.

If you want a beach for swimming, go to Praia do Futuro. If you want to stay close to the clubs, stay in Iracema. Two different places: takes about 20 minutes with a taxi to go from Iracema to Futuro. Have a look:

http://www.flatshop.com.br/localizacao.php

Iracema is the part of Fortaleza where you will find Kapital, Bikini bar, Europa, Zipi and the like. I am afraid you wouldn't want to go swimming on the beach nearby. But you will find working girls in the barracas of Praia de Meireles. Just keep your eyes open!
Futuro is a much nicer beach, the water is cleaner and you get a better surf. Many of the working girls of Iracema spend the daytime there. But apart from the big barracas on the beach there is nothing to do in Futuro. Yes, on some nights of the week certain barracas have live music and party, but you don't want to spend the night in this somewhat remote area of Fortaleza.

So my personal suggestion would be to get a hotel/appartment in Iracema or Meireles, and take a taxi for the beach or for a party in one of the barracas. But then return to the city!

Just my 2 cents...

Thanks guys for the info!

Where can you get a notarised copy of your passport in Fortaleza? And what's its price?

What's the going rate for a taxi Iracema-Futuro? Do taxis use metres (that they try not to use) like in Rio? Are there any public buses that cover that route?

Thanks,

A taxi to Praia do Futuro will cost you around 20R$, maybe 25R$. I didn't use taxis that often, but never did I have any hassle with the meter. Or I just negociated a fixed price before the ride.

Public busses cover that route, no problem! It's the mid-sized white busses with the number XXX52. They are going all the way from downtown Fortaleza via Avenida Presidente Castelo Branco, Avenida Monsenhor Tabosa and Avenida da Abolicao to Praia do Futuro. Pay 1.60 R$ one way. These busses will stop to pick you up where ever you are, just wave and make yourself seen. Don't take the number XXX11 bus, their final destination is no further than the harbour area....

Thanks,
Gladiator, you can get you passport notarized at any Carteria. There are many in Rio (if you are Rio) and in Fortaleza, as well as other cities. The Carteria I used in Fortaleza was in Aldeota (near the Mall). The cost was no more than about R$10.

Simply photo copy your passport first, then present both the copy and the passport to them, at which time they will notarize it. After which you can get it laminated. You may want to reduce the copy to a nice wallet size (or pocket size) for easy transport.

Why would you waste your time and money to notarise a copy of your passport?

If police REALLY wants to see your documents any copy, notarised or not just won't do. Only original passport is the thing. Just get a colour copy before your trip, keep it with you and if you get into a situation where police needs to see your papers show the copy.
If they insist seeing the original, bring them to your accommodations. Let them wait in the lobby. Never let them into the room. Show the doc. Not having an ID is a minor thing, unless you are under suspect of some more serious crime.

Perkele, where did you get that advice? You are wrong.

If the police really want to hassle you, you will not have the opportunity to go back to your accommodation with them and show the passport. You will be taken in to the station and someone will have to bring your ID.

A notarised copy of your passport should be valid ID for the police check.

This may seem a bit extreme, but if I were in Fortaleza right now I would get the notarised copy. There is a history of mongers being ID checked and hauled into the station when the authorities want to appear strong on law and order. Just read back in this thread and you will see that it has happened within the last year.

A notorised copy IS valid for ID. 100% sure. Unnotarised copy isn´t enough.

The cost for a notorised copy is low, less than R$10, and it´s made in 10 minutes. It´s a good thing to always carry with you anywhere in Brazil.

Thanks for the helpful advice!

Perkele, as others have already clarified, a notirised copy is a legally valid document - just a copy doesn't mean shit (think of how easy it is to fake a copy).

Also, if you show the cops a notirised copy they'll know you're not the average newbie, so you're more unlikely to be hassled.

Sure, if they want to set you up they will, even with drugs or whatever, but they'd do so if that was their intention to start with, whetever you show them, so that's a different subject.

Whoa!!!

When has the law changed? During my last visit in Nov 05 the notarised copy wasn't worth of the paper it was printed on.

Please do correct me, but the LAW states that only original PASSPORT or a residence permit with a picture is legal. If police accepts your notarised copy he has made an error.

Anyway I have always had an opportunity to get my docs when needed. Also a copy has been sufficient.

I'm not actually against the idea of having a notarised copy of the passport with you, BUT do not be surprised if you're treated as if you did not have your ID with you. This is absolutely something that POLICE can decide on the spot.

Actually if you have couple of these pink parrot pictured papers with you, they will be accepted as an ID.

last night the police (federal, militar, civil) made a blitz in iracema. closed down (at least for 1 night) mamboo, europa, bikini etc. the reason for the blitz was that **** girls were found in the clubs.

they checked id for lots of gringos. no valid id, pay a fine or simply go behind some cars and bribe them of. they didn´t check my id but i took the opportunity to ask a pf if my notorised passport copy was valid as a id. yes, it was.

the pf i spoke to seemed mostly interested in hazzling italians. partly because they already this year have taken two italians involved in trafficing girls and having sex with minors.

i guess if they really wants to hassle you, by some reason, they will try to do it not mattering what kind of id you carry.

bad business for the girls yesterday.

Thanks guys, fot all the info. It is a tremendous help.

My regular travel buddy won't be making this trip, so I have pledged to do a thorough evaluation of Fortaleza. We've been to Rio and Recife. He was the pioneer.

I will be sure to contribute a thorough report and plenty of photos. I'm a photo nut!

Gentelmen,

I'm having a bit of trouble with the "lay of the land".

I'm checking out hotels and the addresses, as you know, never have cross street info. One map I found shows Beira Mar ( I gather it is the avenue along the beach. But for how far? Is it only along Mucuripe?, or does it stretch all the way past Pra.Iracema and beyond?

And, is Mucuripe any more expensive than Meireles or Iracema? I think I understand that Iracema is not the nicest area, but where the "action" is.

Thanks in advance,

Bambino

Hi Bambino!

For a detailed map of Fortaleza try out www.map24.com By default setting it will start with Europe. Just click South America, then enter "Fortaleza" as your destination and of course choose number 1 :-) You can zoom in and this map will provide even the smallest street!

Here's a list of hotels in Ceara and Fortaleza http://www.ceara.com.br/ceara/hoteis_pousadas_ceara.htm The really good hotels indeed are in Mucuripe and Meireles, so be prepared to spend more money there.

Last time I spent 3 nights in http://www.casablancahoteis.com.br/ Good, clean, inexpensive. Staff was very friendly to my garota. Just make sure you book and pay a double room...

I wished I could plan _MY_ next trip :-((

thanks for the links. But I have one more question: Where the hell is Av. Beira Mar?

I went to the map site (it's incredible), but I zoom all the way in and never find it. It looks like the road along the beach is John Kennedy and Abolicao...

Well, maybe the official name of that avenida is "Kennedy", but this is identically the same as "Av. Beira Mar". Also, that makes sense, as "beira mar" roughly translates to "seashore".

It will be 4 days, with the option to go back to Rio for 4 more, or hang around in Forta. I guess things will declare themselves.
